As essential as it gets. One of my most used music apps for several years now. It allows me to quickly test out ideas and make sketches that I can then easily export (as either audio or midi) for further elaboration on my laptop computer. I can hardly think of any improvements that I would make to it because it’s just that well designed and coded.

Audiobus mixer doesn't work well with voiceover. The app works really well, I use it to make recordings with different effects. There seems to be a problem with the mixer, I can double tap on the mixer with VoiceOver, but I can't adjust the levels. Can you please fix this? Sometimes the microphone is too loud, and I can't adjust it. Other than that, it works great.

LRXx. It’s great. I use it all the time. Using it right now. Very good product - - using it right now until I got interrupted to make a review which I already have done. But is a very useful tool to mix one or several synths with one or many FX. Good controls. Haven’t used with MIDI.

Crucial!. I’ve used AB since very early on. Setting up projects has become second nature. I find it the absolute go-to for anything midi/audio connection related. There will always be SOMETHING that needs to be added, but I count on the dev’s attention to user needs and requests. Thanks!

Issues. Even after the latest update the app is still glitchy and keeps shutting down. Midi flow splitter is shutting down also and then you have to go back in and split your sounds. I like this platform it allows me to do things others don’t. I’m a keyboardist that plays live and I rely only on my IPad. Hopefully this is fixed in the next few hours. Please help me out

All my AU effects keep dying when I open in AB3!!!. Review Edited: I was having some trouble with my app dying when using AUv3 plugins for effects, and rated the app, as such. The developer reached out to me personally and told me where to go for assistance with support issues, and assured me that they would help me resolve it as quickly as possible. I am now on my way to getting the issue resolved, and other than that, the app does a great job at routing audio from one app to another and allowing multiple apps to be used simultaneously and routed to a common output or recording app. I have updated my review score accordingly.

Absolutely necessary for making iOS music.. I have been using audiobus as a virtual pedalboard by running this into my amps effects loop. The possibilities are endless. I can route plugins like they are pedals and mix and match. Inspiring….

it’s always nice when something works the way it’s supposed to. I use audiobus all the time; for instance, sending tabla sounds from iTabla to Loopy, which, like audiobus, is an excellent app made by Michael Tyson. Easy to use, Audiobus works very well. I love the little side display that lets you start, stop, record, and other functions from either app. Also works well in iPad DAWs. Five stars.

Not perfect but great.. Once I figured it out, it was what I was looking for without knowing it. I like certain sims and other fx sims. I can pull an IR, a drive from Bias, an amp from THu, stand-alone mod n time, and keep up with my CPU. Amazing what even an old iPhone can pull off CPU wise. I now record all my guitars on my iPhone in the garage or on the back porch or at the lake. Still a lil nervous about gigging with it but…..

No warning about iOS incompatibilities. I want to love Audiobus but I showed up too late to this party. Bought the app without first checking the developer forum 🙄and I guess this makes it my fault that it doesn’t work properly within the updated iOS world and with GarageBand. I know the developer didn’t cause the problems instead it’s caused by the tight and difficult apple company, but it would have been nice to be informed of this in the App Store, and not hidden somewhere in the www. Trying to find solutions which require more app purchases like the fun but not to precise loopy, or perhaps ill skip this plan and go straight to AUM, $30 later... Bummer.

Reliable when you need it. I thought when I moved on to the more sophisticated AUM that it would mark the end of my AB use. But I keep coming back, sometimes for the simpler format, to become less hindered by possibilities, and sometimes because it has fewer issues with auv3 plug-ins I’m using, such as irig recorder.

Broken.. I used to use Audiobus 2 a lot. In fact, I still can with many apps. This version, however, I lose all sound when trying to use it on an iPad Pro, iOS 16.7. Whether AU or App, I get no sound from the input (with record enabled or disabled), or on the output, no difference. Same thing when trying to play something back on the output device like Auria. If I hit keys randomly, I can see the input is going into the output and being recorded, but with no ability to hear what I’m playing or the backing tracks, this is useless.

Creative Freedom on iOS. Have used this app extensively for years and revel in the designer’s commitment and consistent passion to expand it, elevate the user experience, offer more and more ways to support artist creativity, and actually read/incorporate user feedback. This rarely happens in today’s otherwise greedy world. Big Kudos and Gratitude. It turns my iPad and iPhone into personal creative laboratories.

Love this App!!!!. So much is capable. Especially if you’ve got a nice set of headphones. You can practice with the same feel as a show. I Love just about everything Yonac puts out. If it says Yonac you”re in good hands.

Extremely inconsistent. This version of the app is extremely inconsistent. Maybe it’s a matter of a needed update for iOS 13 but this app is the main source of frustration for me - it simply does not work reliably. The same two apps selected as INPUT and OUTPUT can work perfectly, can not work at all or somewhat work. Sometimes Audiobus mutes the audio of the input app, sometimes it does not, the app seems to act differently depending on in which order the apps are opened, and it’s impossible to find a pattern of its behavior. User spends way too much time plugging in and ejecting the apps trying to find a lucky combination of events that makes them work. This should be a straightforward app that simply connects, not an app that needs to be babied because this takes away greatly from the creative process.

A Must for Live iPad music. I’m new to the ipad music scene as a praise band keyboardist, but this is the app that finally puts it all together. All the fun synth sounds, all the fun effects. This app helps control the different applications quickly and in a live environment. Thank you!

Indispensable Tool for iOS!. This is the first thing I open up on my iPad when I’m about to compose or just jam within iOS or even my hardware set-up. It makes routing between apps seamless, and keeps everything perfectly in sync! Thanks to the developers for bringing this into the world...I’d be lost in iOS without it!🙏🏾

Still just ok. Ever since I got my 10.5 ...I bought BeatMaker 3...hoping to transition from my iPhone to a larger format...I mainly use NI iMaschine2...which is getting long in the tooth ..but I’m highly efficient and it is my goto pocket production tool. Moving on to the iPad I wanted a newer updated experience using some of my soft synths I love but couldn’t incorporate with iMaschine2 easily so I purchased AudioCopy to make it a reality... Honestly I hate the way I have to connect it through beatmaker3.. there’s no easy way to use it with out coming out of the bm3...I can’t change patches...it’s clumbersome..and don’t see a need to use it since bm3 can see most of my synths through audio units... So that’s a waste of money to me and for my workflow...it’s meh!

No recording of tracks or stereo mix. It’s sad that this app doesn’t have a simple, or any, for that matter, built-in function to record individual tracks or the stereo mix for export to other apps. Not everybody wants to open an entire daw or another app just to capture a few sketches. It’s a disappointing oversight, because with the state-saving, if it had this simple function, it would have been so much more elegant & useful for saving templates to capture sketches, exporting to samplers, etc, and only then going to a daw. Extremely unreliable with Cubasis, as well, so, damned one way or the other. Wish I could get a refund. Grrrrr.

App not necessary / demo version would have been helpful. I read reviews, and I read the online manual for Audiobus. My main main purpose for getting Audiobus is that I need to route AUDIO to multiple BUSses. The manual says the app makes it possible for you to do this. However, after purchasing this, the only options are to route to L/R (or Out 1/Out 2). The app is not necessary to be able to do this. What I need is an app that will route audio from my iPad to multiple busses on a DAW on my computer. Audiobus is a really a virtual mixer that allows you to route audio from a handful of audio apps to one mixer and/or to other apps. Output is limited, but it can be resolved with the purchase of a physical audio interface to connect directly to your iOS device. This, in turn, eliminates the need for the app in particular live performance settings. To be fair, the app seems like it would do great if I actually used the apps that it is compatible with... which really is quite a few. I originally gave this a 1=star rating, but decided it wasn’t a fair rating just because it doesn’t do what I needed it to do. However, the app does seem to be good at its current design. Again, a demo version would’ve been extremely helpful in determining this prior to purchase.

The Very Best For My Workflow. When it comes to communicating between music apps, Audiobus is the best. I will be the first to admit that I have a very simple workflow, not relying on multiple effects to create my sounds. I prefer to adjust my sound in the app itself. With the addition of the IAP of Midi Learn for only $2.99 I free myself from having to use the on pad controls, using my Midi Control Surfaces instead. Start, Stop, Switch between apps, Mix, Adjust; all these and more are now at my fingertips. Ableton Link insures everything is in time. And with one of the most robust support communities at the Audiobus forums you just can’t go wrong.

Brings it!. This app brings it all together. I use Xequence 2 in the midi inputs to drive the various audio units in the outputs. I then send each one to Multitrack Daw which creates a track for each one automatically. You can’t do it like this with any other app. This beast brings it all together!

Absolutely still necessary. You are not going do what you think you’re going to do without this software on your phone. Just buy it and save yourself the frustration. This pairs perfectly with most other tools.

Great app and great support. Great app for controlling devices internal and external. But more importantly: great support. I reached out with an issue and the developer was helpful and responsive and ultimately helped troubleshoot a solution. Way above and beyond, and rare to see. Worth every penny!

Total control. I’m using a CEntrance MicPortPro with a Sennheiser microphone. This app lets me see and select available interfaces. In the case of the MicPortPro, AudioBus lets me select left channel, right channel, both, or any combination. Accidentally selected both left and right, plus right, resulting in higher levels (actually sounded better). No other app I’ve seen gives you this kind of control. After you select your input, you can add plug ins and Route the audio out to the app of your choice ( in my case Twisted Wave). Indispensable. Suddenly using an iPhone to record voiceover isn’t such a cumbersome effort.

Remarkably Useful Reverb and more…. Remarkably advanced impulse response type reverb. Many many useful presets all ready to go. I was a Synclavier programmer working on convolution filters in the 80s, but on a $200,000 mainframe system! The fact that I have that power on an iPad is just amazing to me. Bravo. Bravo! Bob Rice NGP Mastering Culver City, CA

I don’t like this app. I like, think I “like like” this app!!. Currently walking the dog while using AB3 to apply different effects to a drum app’s individual channels. AND! I’m using its’ (AB3) state saving feature to save my initial setup so I can recall it later. I love being able to throw a compressor on a kick or add some reverb using apps from different developers. If they got AudioBus baked in, this phone/iPad gonna be bumping bumping. Thx for the app and. And!... the AB forum as well. Invaluable. For realsies!!!

Take Note. The apps listed in the description above are not entirely compatible. Some of them can send audio or MIDI (Inputs), and some of them can receive (Outputs). Be sure to check the developer’s website to see which category your apps fall into before purchasing.

Essential App for iOS Musicians. This app has made many things possible in the world of iOS music. It continues to be a vital part of my setup and it keeps getting better with each update.

iOS Music production app coordinator. For music production on iOS Audiobus 3 is an essential part of coordinating multi apps, choosing which inputs talk to which FX and which destination! Allows saving workflows so you don’t have to start from scratch every session.

Saved my life for live gigs!. I use Audiobus to route my guitar and keyboard patches through my dock interface and without this thing, I couldn’t play live with such a small feat footprint and such quality. Strongly recommend!

Very, very good app… Except for one thing. This app is very, very good, except for one small problem. As a voiceover user, I cannot access the mixer controls. Voiceover, which is a screen reader built into all iOS devices, tells me that the mixer tab is dimmed or grade out. This makes it impossible for me to actually access these controls, which means that as a mobile Internet broadcaster, my levels are always at the highest end of the scale and in danger of clipping. If we can get this fixed in the next Version, I would be very, very grateful. Aside from that, I’m very happy with the functionality of this up. Great work guys!

Incredible after the update. So, a while back I had this app, but it really wasn’t doing much for me. What I was trying to do was use Audulus 3 for effects, but it didn’t work previously. After the update, I was able to use it, and it works so well. If you really want to integrate different apps to get more out of mobile music production, I would seriously recommend this, despite the price.

Magic in an app. This app radically changed my entire relationship to my phone. It is so simple and yet so powerful. It’s super intuitive and easy to use, so long as you are a little patient in seeking out compatible apps and plug-ins that suit your musical ideas. For that I highly recommend checking out their site that contains loads of compatible apps (as well as the email alerts!).

A must have for all iOS musicians. If you own a couple of music apps that support Audiobus and especially if you own a few Audio Unit intruments or effects, you are doing yourself a big disfavor if you don't own this app yet. It puts all the pieces of the audio routing puzzle together and lets everything jive together as a perfect matching ensemble. And version 3.1 takes it even a step further with the great new workflow improvements. I started out with Audiobus years ago but at some point when AUM got released I moved away from Audiobus. However with version 3.1.1 and the improved and very solid support for Audio Units it has drawn me back into the Audiobus camp and feels like returning home. Thanks to the developer's fantastic support it also fixed a couple of technical issues i was having and everything now plays like a dream. Highly recommended app. Get it now if you don't own it yet! Full five star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and both thumbs up 👍👍

Audiobus is an iOS studio essential. From connecting any of the compatible apps on their site to making a custom oscillation and generated instrument for a kit for sale? This is it. The depth of possibilities are huge. It has a transport that will sync with a daw. And it connects instruments and effects in a way few apps in the world can. If all apps worked like this? The future would be cool. Meaning this is so far ahead of anything you thought possible on an iOS device that you could watch videos all day about what people do with Audiobus and it is all new. Every day people figure out more stuff it can do. So you do all that and save the preset? It loads and connects every compatible app (100’s) for you. It’s like all the wires of a real studio. In one hand. Did I convey I more than like it? I have needed Audiobus and have used it 10+ years. It’s extremely fun as well.

They keep adding Apps. I got this way back before the current version. It was a game changer then. Lots of apps have compatibility but not even close to the scale of this. They keep adding apps and improving. I don’t use my computer setup much anymore because it is much more cumbersome and the abilities the IPad lacked in the past are virtually gone. This along with a good iOS interface an iPad and maybe some mics(drums) can save you a couple grand.

Still essential. The 3.1 release fixes many of the annoyances of the initial release of Audiobus3--and adds innovations as well. Beginners to iOS music should start here (and the excellent support forum). Experts should enjoy how fast and painless it is to get a new session rolling now, both with AUv3 apps and older IAA apps.

Very convenient. Allows slide over window on iPad for AUv3 outside DAW. I use this with NanoStudio—which does not allow you to have hovering AUv3 plugin windows. I wanted to measure real-time LUFS loudness using Youlean Loudness Meter. Audiobus will let you turn the app in to a hovering window, by clicking the 3 dots at the top and press the slide over icon. This is very useful, if you want to monitor your mix, without having to go to the channel and tap the icon everytime. You cannot do that in AUM. THANK YOU!

Audiobus is legend for a reason. Rock solid. Indispensable for getting sound into your iDAW (I use Auria via AUM for guitar, bass and drums). State saving is a time saver. If you have a music app that doesn’t support Audiobus ... is it truly a music production app? Audiobus is the gold standard - and the Audiobus Forum is the online water cooler - of the iOS musician community. If your goal is to make music with an iPhone or iPad, and you are new to this process, you will definitely want this app. Read the description and press “buy.”

Still feeling ripped off. Still peeved that Audiobus 2 didn't work, like, ever, for more than ten minutes, and have held off purchasing 3 until now, like 5 years later, after 2 was discontinued with no upgrade path for paying customers. We shall see how this works out. Still hoping for a usable product tho.

Modular Rules!. Audiobus allows me to route things in a very flexible manner...while being approachable to beginners it’s deep enough for some pretty complicated setups. The app has been a key piece of kit in all my setups. Looking forward to how the app evolves because it has always delivered. Keep up the great work 👊🏼™️

I use it to tweak podcasts played in AudioShare. AudioShare is a nice way to play a second audio source on top of the system audio in iOS + iPadOS. Sometimes it’s nice to add a compressor to the AudioShare output, and that’s what AudioBus allows me to do. This let’s me listen to a conversational podcast while enjoying some instrumental tunes on Apple Music.

One of the best iOS software. Very good software. The best of the best. I wish you start making some killer audio instruments too so that we find everything we need in Audiobus. Audiobus is the foundation of my live music. Thank you so much! Need one for Mac OS and why not for Window too. We need it for Mac OS. Can I use it for the new Mac?

Indespensible. I’m not sure what else to say. Audiobus is the one thing I can’t do without in my iOS rig. Synths and controllers come and go, but AB is always there to keep everything together.

How to train your dragon...er, iPad Pro and make some amazing music!!!. I’m a longtime user of MainStage on my MacBook Pro and Mac Mini. My instrument of choice for electronic music is the Steiner MIDI EVI and more recently, Johan Berglund’s NuEVI. Audiobus 3 allows me the port of entry into using my iPad Pro as a sound source for making world class synth sounds that are musically responsive and texturally beautiful. A3 is simple, intuitive and stable. I can’t wait to see what’s next from their team!

FEATURE REQUEST. Dear AudioBus, Thank you so much for this amazing app. I'd like to buy the Audiobus Remote app but I'd like to request I'd like to see fader control/ mixing on the remote, if not combine full features from both app at a extra cost. Here's a senerio I'd like to have my ipad connected to a audio interface/ mixer to process live sound in the church; meanwhile I can have a friend of mine to do live mixing from another device using the remote app. Thank you!

Still wonderful. After all the alternatives which have arrived over the years since, Audiobus still does the job easily, and efficiently. Thank you for saving me heartburn and stress!

Appreciate the split screen functionality!. There are many reasons to enjoy Audiobus, but the reason I return to using it the most is splitting the screen on my iPad Pro. I also appreciate the online support and user forums.

If you have numerous iOS music apps, this is a must have!. Audiobus 3 is endless fun for any musician who appreciates iOS music apps. Just make sure the iOS music apps you own are compatible with Audiobus 3 and make sure your iPad/iPhone is powerful enough to run everything. Great way to quickly mix sounds from different apps. For me it’s mostly just a fun way to jam and play around live, but I can see it being useful during production as a “sketch pad” to get your ideas out.

Does what it says.. Perfect. Without this or similar the rest of my apps would be pointless.

Don’t waste your money. Look for a better App.

Haven’t explored fully. But allows some functionality to my iPad that I wouldn’t have otherwise, vital for my setup

Rubbish app, does not communicate between sampletank and cubasis 3. Stuff I can do in an instant on a desktop daw is super complicated with audiobus. First, sampletank just takes forever to load and the side audiibus 3 controls don’t display the cubasis icon or the record button, cubasis 2 did. So all in all ,a very frustrating app to set up with sampletank and cubasis 3. I just use Garage vanilla without any e ternal instruments,Audiibus is just too complicated,I don’t know why the ipad didn’t use the super easy approach like desktop daws of selecting instruments.

Love it. Best thing since double sliced bread.

I’ve been using Audiobus since it first came out, and it’s gotten better and better.. I’ve been using Audiobus since it first came out and it’s gotten better and better. It’s turned my iPad into a fully featured composing environment. I now have no hesitation in stringing together elaborate chains of apps and interacting with them in real time. From the Dandenongs to the world, what a gift you’ve given us all, Michael. Congratulations. Warren Burt

Awesome. Awesome app, unlocks your iPad for music creation

Outstanding. Painless Audio and MIDI routing in one place. Grab the seperate MIDI Filter bundle and you're all set for sonic wizardry. Great app, great supportive developers who have the best interests of the iOS musician community at heart.

Must have. This is one of the apps you really should have. Songwriting, production, FX sends, mixer and easy to use

Loving it again.... As each IAU gets their act together with good clean, stable support for AB and the latest IOS, I’m getting back to loving it again...just mixin it up...and letting the music and rhythm take over.

A necessary utility. One of the essential core utility apps on the iOS platform. Provides the ability to synchronise apps and to route audio between apps amongst a bunch of other uses. Fantastic support and a fantastic user forum.

Best app ever! Started it all.. Thanks Audiobus

Love it. Keeps getting better and better

A game changer for me. I like to experiment with sound and this tool is the definition of versatility...so many audio apps can be thrown into Audiobus. I’ve always wanted to rig up plugins to use in real-time with my granular synthesis sound design experiments and here I am doing it on the go on my iPad pretty darn easily!

Midi clock in for the win. Goodbye AUM, hello audiobus ❤️

Mandatory App. Really wouldn’t be able to run my setup without it

Super fun. This is a great program for any MIDI musician. I use it with a Fishman guitar synth to create alternate tunings.

Perfect. So great for my audiocreation needs! Perfect upgrade from Audiobus 2!

A necessity for making music. This app is pure magic! A must have for musicians.

A must for music making. Great host for all your audio apps and rock solid. Great for home, studio and live use!

The original ground breaker. The thing that really bugs me is people who give bad reviews because they can't figure out how to do something and before contacting the developer to ask for help. I really believe that many people really like to blame others for their lack of ability. They could ask for help but it makes them feel better to give someone sh...t, hoping that it's not them who is the problem. Hey, when you see a lot of 5 star reviews and find out that an app is great according to most people, you might want to consider that the problem is you, and not the app. The reason I know the problem is the complainer because they never change their review and just go on complaining about other apps.

What’s the hype. Audio out always drops. Using Amplitude and GarageBand, monitor turned on, this is hit and miss. Sounds better using inter app audio straight into GarageBand.... I must be missing something, not doing anything I didn’t have before, in less complicated format... not overly impressed.

Great app! Many routings possible. Awesome...... 🎸

Disappointed. I set up to hear on my headphones through my focurite with multiport’s selected and I can hardly hear my ouput on my headphones. Not good enough right away. Not an issue in garage band.

Epic transformation of music. Enabled through touch and deep integration of every sound source and instrument. It’s a brave new world of creator and maker and freedom.

Indispensable. Opens up connections between iOS apps and Audio/MIDI hardware wonderfully

No GarageBand Support. Could not use GarageBand as an extension...to be more specific as an input.

the best of the best. genius!!!!!!!!

Finally, the “must”. it is a must more than a nice to have because nice to have are have to ice.

Instant Routing Headache Cure. Forget Tylenol, toss the Advil, the one true cure is here. I just wanted to do something so simple, have a physical keyboard and a physical synth module connected to the iPad at the same time, and allow the keyboard to control the module. Well, with this app it was, in fact, so simple. I gather this app can do much more, but this is an amazing start that has already made me a true believer.

Audiobus is still relevant. Easy workflow, efficient and proficient app. Really friendly with the other connection app. Dev is also proactive making the app better regularly. Thumbs up!

IOS essential. This app has single handedly made IOS an amazing music platform. Thank-you Michael!

A gotta have. Even if you only do simple things like using effects while playing with a tune, Audiobus makes life much easier to get the balances right. And it grows from there. It’s a bit frustrating at times when apps are both sources and destinations (e.g. Loopy HD, another must-have) and it’s not obvious where to put it in the chain but a little experimenting answers the question. I’m still learning how to use it but I think it’s a classic. I hope to see a mixer for the output levels, not just the inputs, someday although I could be missing something.

This app sucks. DM1 doesn’t work Moog Animoog doesn’t work DRC synth doesn’t work Moog model 15 doesn’t work I used this app when I had an old iPad and it worked way better with all of the above apps. Apps won’t “wake up”. I payed $15 for this pos and it doesn’t even work. I want my money back

Essential app for iOS music makers. Audiobus is legendary for originally pushing the iOS platform for music makers and Audiobus 3 is no different. It helps connect the apps that can otherwise not talk to each other, and simplifies MIDI between apps. Michael, the developer, also runs the essential iOS musician and developer forum via the Audiobus website. This is where you get a chance to chat with developers, share patches, test new updates. Just brilliant. 5 stars all round! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Top Shelf App By A very Kind DEV!!!. 5 stars all the way, thank you!

Mess with the best. Must Have App

Invaluable to iOS musicians. Treats apps and external MIDI controllers like audio or MIDI VSTs and routes and mixes all the signals. So much power!

MIDI!. The MIDI support makes this a must buy upgrade. The low price is just icing on the cake.

Great. Love it..!

A Must Have!!. For music makers

First paid app. So, brand new iPad, GarageBand, FM Player, and AudioKit Synth One installed. And to make it all work? Audiobus 3, of course. Four stars, because I’m still new at this and haven’t given it a real workout yet. Edit: five stars now that I realize how comprehensive this app really is!

must have. not a want is a need

Super app. Love discovering new features and new sounds.

Really good and flexible app. Decent app. I don’t know anything else like it so I can’t compare but generally works as needed.

All together now..... Brings everything together.....what else could you ask for?

Pro Audio Nerds. This is such an awesome app for learning signal flow and then making your own devices ( so to speak). It’s not only an excellent app for creative use but it an awesome teaching mechanism as well. Good job.

Simple and Powerful. This app brings all of my audio together flawlessly. I do wish I could rearrange routes or put them in groups.

Great app - PLEASE ADD support for iPhone stereo mic. Want to add to the wish list support for the iPhone stereo mic. This app still sees that system input as mono (unless I am missing a setting somehow). Thanks Rich

An essential part of my music kit. Always works flawlessly and only keeps getting better. Thank you dev!

Straightforward and convenient. Especially when you’re building synth stacks, the mixer function and midi page are easy to use and effective.

Disappointed. It was a toss up between this and AUM I got this one because it was less expensive. I installed it and it kept freezing up every time I would try to do the output for GarageBand. Probably needs an update since ios17.

Great idea but you can’t trust it. Great idea and simple setup but it can’t handle more than a couple of apps at once and then it crashes and restarts over from the beginning screen, I would never trust it in a live situation. I gave it 2 stars because at least it supports split screen which is useful to pull up a window to adjust your mix.

Faster track. Audiobus is a faster tool when engineering an audio track.

Essential tool for iOS musicians. Audiobus is one of the core tools that unleash the true power of iOS. The extremely robust and intuitive midi tools make integrating any external midi system painless. A must have tool for my workflow.

Thank you. Couldn’t do what I do without it. Nothing else like it! So glad I came across it. Great work developers 👌🏼

Super useful jamming, live or track building!. This app gave me more possibilities with my other more expensive music apps!

Couldn’t get it to work, but looks like it was user error.. Had some issues but got it worked out with Support help. Endear up being user error. Thanks,

The Best for a Long Time. This app really makes my iOS workflow feasible, efficient and powerful, and has from the beginning. A million thanks, Michael!

Still Brilliant. I know people love AUM, along with AUv3 apps, for workflow—I do too! But I always go back to Audiobus for it’s direct simplicity. It’s a beautiful app to use. There’s something delightfully intimate about it. It makes me love the immediacy of creating music.

Good for what I need. If you need a simple mixer for your modules at live gigs then this is the way to go. I’ve hardly had any hassle with this app to be honest. There is one exception however. The apps I use don’t always respond when I start them or when I’m interrupted with a call. Might be the apps themselves I’m not too sure. Other than that it’s wonderful. Apps I use this with: MKSensation NeoSoul Keys Kong Module Galileo 2 Synth One Mood Model D BeatMaker 3

Still Amazing. I love this app for building connectivity between music apps. It is very intuitive and just works beautifully and consistently.

No option to save state/preset. Despite buying this app I can't save a state or preset - only given option to sort by name or date. I tried emailing support but send button remains grayed out, conveniently... So while this program is awesome I am stuck unable to save anything.

Audiobus. My Audiobus app stopped working properly. It doesn’t show app icons in audio mode. Won’t launch midiflow adapter in MIDI mode. I can’t hear anything using my Novation sl Mik 61 keyboard controller.

Essential for iOS music making. This is the app that gets all your other music apps to connect. Seamless operation. Perfect MIDI clock sync. Couldn’t make music without it!

Still trying to sync. I like the app, but having issues with syncing up everything. Using with Moog apps and Audio Kit. Also using an Akai MPK mini, to try to control everything.

Stable and easy to use. I use Audiobus primarily for MIDI routing and it does that very well. It’s responsive, easy to use, and has been very stable. Highly recommended.

THE iOS music Swiss Army Knife. Nowadays, you can connect music apps to various DAW, by other means, but if it can’t be connected through Audiobus, it just cannot be done.

Already a must-have for serious play. And this becomes more so, with every update

Please Fix This !. I love this app and use it often for music production but since the iOS 14 update, my DAW (FL Mobile) isn’t launching in the Audiobus app anymore (Stuck on launching loading screen) ! Please fix this ! other than that this app is amazing :)

Useful tool for routing audio. Audio routing has come really far since the first iteration. Midi is starting to receive some attention which is also great

Audiobus!. Nothing more to say. Awesome! I would buy it in a heartbeat again. It has been a pleasure for over 6 years

Straightforward and efficient. I wouldn’t use any other app to put everything I need together for an iOS music session, Audiobus is the best.

App is useless with GarageBand under IOS 12.4. I bought a brand new iPad and purchased this to use with GarageBand. Beat my head against the wall trying to get it to work, only to find out it hasn’t worked with GB for a long time. Low rating because I saw no warning or disclaimer. Makes the app useless to me. No refund offered, as far as I’m concerned this is nothing but a rip-off of 9.99. Stay away.

Essential. So easy to route sound/clock between apps, can’t live without this. Save presets of setups. Fantastic stuff

Love it!. This app is the beginning of a lovely dive into the iOS music making sphere. Great work! Would love to see a built in DAW integration, simple 4 track style :)

Polychordpad connect. Seems to work well with CUBASIS 2. Haven’t really tried all the controls on the Chordpad yet, but I’m hoping it will be helpful for laying down tracks

Important host app. Important host app that I think most serious iOS musicians find themselves needing at some point. I use it simply for sample creation as a router, mixer for example.

Essential. Can’t get all of my iOS sounds into BM3 and Cubasis without it. The transport alone is worth it. AU midi, audio, slick interface and the dev created the best forum for iOS music.

5 Stars All The Way. If you are here reading reviews you need Audiobus. The Audiobus forum maintained by the developer is a haven on the web... all the help you need. Go and buy it.

Thor most important app I own.. Its a pedal board/ mixer for your iOS music apps. Definitely a secrecy weapon when I play noise shows.

Love it.. This opened up a whole new world for my music. Keeps getting better with updates. Thanks!

Must have app if you do anything with audio!. Such a useful tool if you do anything with audio. External Soundcard routing is indispensable! Just wish I could route Music to anything.

Apps don’t show in select input. Djay pro doesn’t show Korg gadget LE doesn’t show. (Just found out from Korg site that only the full version works with AB.) Support is trying to troubleshoot with me.

Essential. This has always been an essential app for making music on iOS, but 3.1 makes it even better.

Bedrock of iOS Music Making. Essential tool - the glue that holds my iOS music making together.

No plug-in works for me. I haven’t been able to use this app at all. Keeps saying I need to restart the input app to use them. Worse: the recommendation is “restart your iPad before using Audiobus”! If I wanted to restart a device every time I want to use an app, I’d still have Windows ‘95 in my computer

Essential for iOS Music Making. I’ve been using AudioBus for years. Why is it essential? It’s all about “bussing.” There are so many ways to route audio and MIDI, both with Inter-App Audio (IAA) and AUs. Incredibly versatile, it pairs great with AUM, which is more of a mixer (though AudioBus has a mixer waiting there ready to go.) In addition, there is AudioBus Remote which is a great way to turn any device into a control surface. Also visit the AudioBus Forums, the best iOS music community out there.

Good for planes and trains too. I have no idea what Mr. Boner is talking about. This app is excellent for use on all sorts of transport. The quality of the output music is up to you though.

Fun times for ios!. Really if you just start playing and patching ideas, you may get lost for hours... 😎🐒. Using effects & sequencers are great!

Needs update. Not reliable enough for live performance, last update was 6 months ago. Synths loaded in app (example: SampleTank, AudioKit Synth One) will frequently crash or stop making sound in the middle of your set.

The essential app for iOS music production. This is a required app for iOS music making.

Essential. The original and still indispensable tool for iOS music production.

Not impressed. After reading many glowing reviews, I thought this would be the perfect app to allow me to use multiple instances of AU plugins (Mostly Synthmaster One) with Fl studio mobile. Nope. Constant issues with routing not working correctly, garbled and distorted sound, and AU states not saving. I can’t recommend this until the issues are addressed.
