Microsoft Pix App Description & Overview

What is microsoft pix app? Microsoft Pix is an AI-powered camera app that helps you to take better photos without extra effort! It is like having a pro photographer inside your camera – tweaking settings, selecting the best shots, and enhancing them on the fly – to help people and scenes look their best. It’s designed to help take the guesswork out of getting great photos, so now you can just enjoy the moment, instead of struggling to capture it! Microsoft Pix: Point. Shoot. Perfect.

Features
• Moment capture and best images - Captures a burst of frames every time you tap the shutter button, including frames before and after your tap, so you won’t miss the right moment. Uses discarded burst frames to enhance each Best Image, improving exposure and color, and reducing noise and blur. Images in low lighting, moving objects are now much better quality than before.
• Professional toolkit - control exposure bias manually, set and lock focus point, adjust aspect ratio, use level, and grid to capture the best photos.
• Document capture - capture, crop and clean a picture of a document, whiteboard, or business card. It is like a scanner in your pocket.
• Advance photo editing and free filters - adjust brightness, contrast, temperature, saturation, vignette, grain, highlight, and shadow, the sharpness of the photos, or enhance your photo with 30+ free filters.
• Light and Dark theme - automatically use system color theme or you can override the setting for the app to suit your preference.

PHOTOSYNTH?. Is this feature hiding? I loved this and it was so much better than PANO due to the quality of the stitched image. I have incredible travel pics because of this. Hence only a 3 star review.

My favorite part of the app is back!. You so much for bringing back the Photosynth/panorama mode! It’s my favorite part of the Pix app. I love being able to take extremely wide-angle shots with this! While I miss the features of the old Photosynth app and service, I’m really glad to have the ability to take those kinds of pictures again with MS Pix.

Great for still shots. The app is great for still shots that don't need to be taken in a hurry. The shots where you want to capture something that could move soon or those "in the moment" shots it's kind of a gamble, for example; my son was performing some cool athletic stuff so I thought I would give it a shot. I started taking picture after picture of the actions I was trying to capture and the app failed. It takes multiple photos oh a shot but in this example it took sequential shots that were to far apart so the app chose the first picture as the best so it enhanced it and it was great. The picture I was trying to capture was the one the app used to compare it too which was the correct action shot.

Where is the panorama function?. Too bad we cant give a zero star rating. Removing the panorama feature makes the app pretty much not worth using. Too bad the developers wont address the issue.

Removed features. No more pano or video stabilization. Bad move in my opinion. Are you trying to be like Google and remove feature from their apps that people used?

Spelling mistake. You misspelled business in your own description.

Panorama mode is great!. Panorama mode could also be improved by allowing it to lock into a '2D' mode, such as when the user is capturing something like a large whiteboard (or wall of an art gallery)... this might both improve output quality and performance at the same time (as the calculations would be simpler). - - Possible regression: In early-mid 2023 the panorama mode appears to have changed... it used to continue capturing photos until the user pressed the 'stop' button, but now it stops when it 'thinks that you are done'? This results in incomplete captures, especially when capturing large wall installations (or, e.g., whiteboards in hallways, where multiple photos are needed to get the entire board in focus and in sufficient detail). Maybe it is just stopping automatically when the device is low on memory?

What happened with photosynth panoramas?. Microsoft is turning into Google by killing useful, popular apps, by far the best pano maker out there gone without even acknowledging how popular it was. this and then Solar Winds and Exchange Zero Day suggest that engineer/manager ratio maybe off?

Photo privacy??. App wants access to photos/videos, but doesn’t tell you the most important thing: do the photos EVER leave my phone? It’s one thing for the app to access the pix to -process- them, but an entirely different thing to send them off the phone. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO BE CLEAR ON THIS??

Multiple camera don’t work. On my iPhone 11 Pro Max, it freezes

The app had big shoes to fill…. Photosynth was the best panorama app I have ever used. When it was retired and the panorama feature was moved to pix, I was a little disappointed. Pix simply did not do as good a job. Pictures were blurrier and the interface wasn’t quite as good. Unfortunately, the panorama feature is either extremely well hidden or gone, so I’ll have to find another solution.

Great App!. I use this app often for taking clear pictures of my inventory for my online shop. It’s very helpful and gets the job done. However, it does consume battery life very quick. I find myself having to use it with a fully charged phone or having to take breaks in between to let it charge. Also with this recent update, the app tends to freeze after taking a single picture, to where I can capture the subject on my screen but cannot take a picture since the button is greyed out. I have to close the app and restart after each photo is taken. Other than these issues, I will continue to use this app for all my photography needs. Edit: Unfortunately, I can’t access my camera roll through this app after this update, as well as none of the pictures I’ve taken have saved at all. Unusable at the moment, I hope this is fixed soon.

No panorama - BYPASS. Got this app as it was reported to have replaced photosynth. Once installed, found that this feature was removed! Not worth the free price or the headaches to install/uninstall. SKIP THIS APP

Very convenient camera app. This is a very nice & easy to use camera apps. The best parts is no shutter sound. Envy the MS efforts. Thanks to the team.

Scan doc to text. Now I cant Scan to text

Better Quality Images. Here is another free app that I like. When I compare the pictures it takes to the ones taken with the native camera app that comes with iOS, the ones taken with this app seem better exposed and color balance. The disadvantage is, it requires a lot of processing so on my old iPhone 5s, it took a while but on my SE and iPhone 7, it took significantly less time. Document mode is useful but the automatic cropping needs improvement. It frequently does not select the correct borders and when adjusting the borders, it too easily changes a rectangle into a shape with opposite sides that are not parallel.

Get this. Install it. Bet you don't delete it.. This is so good I just asked two friends for their phones and to put their finger on the button when necessary. Then I asked them to snap some pictures and see what they think. They loved it! And so do I. This app creates better pictures out of what you snap. Faces come out perfect. Acne and red-eye are gone. It can be subtle: this does not add gimmicks to your photos. It improves the lighting, the faces, the shadows and the composition by blending together the best of several milliseconds of exposure. Faces, food, pets and open scenery benefit the most. Another feature I love is the adjustable exposure. This lets you photograph the stars, and create special effects in a variety of situations. On my phone I set it to be the default camera. So ... install it - and I bet you keep on using. It's been six months, and the only photos I take with the built-in app are panoramas. For faces, social activities, landscapes and action shots (reduces blur) this app is tops.

Potential. Photosynth has a lot of potential I don’t know why they put it into this app I guess they were trying to create a package appeal for people. What Microsoft really needs to do is create Photosynth along with the features offered in the light room camera. Light room has some of the best HDR function I’ve ever used in a cell phonecamera. Photosynth needs more professional settings for dialing in exposure. For instance if they would let you pan around the scene and measure the light before doing an exposure it could compensate for dynamic range differences and avoid vignette gradients in the pano. Right now it’s a bit too primitive to get very good results. I’ve always been a big fan of Photosynth though.

I just don’t understand. Don’t get me wrong, I love this app, 5 stars! But the developers first removed all great features (pano, Live Photos) and now adding them back one by one. Why? Just don’t understand if you guys gonna adding these features back, which is awesome, then why removed them before? I almost going to give up this app and looking for other solutions. But thanks god, finally, everything is back now!

Filtered artwork. I miss the filters like “Honolulu” that would transform my regular photos into works of art. Is that feature available anywhere else? Is there anyway to bring that feature back in a future update? If so, then please do. Many thanks.

Not working in 14.6. Edit photos is not working in iOS 14.6. No response from edit icons like crop, brightness, etc.

What happened?. What happened? Pix used to be able to make creative character changes. I had started an album of my own pictures that I used pix to make mosaic for children’s books. Now all of that is gone and I can’t finish my project. The changes to remove those artistic changes is a real loss. The new filters are bland and not creative. Now instead of using pix for my projects for years I will have to go somewhere else. Disappointed in your support if customers.

Good App!. Overall a good, simple, clean camera interface. It’s free and from Microsoft. The only issue I have is OIS. The stabilization on pictures and videos isn’t very good. The quality is good but shaky hands beware!

Has been updated for 7 plus!?. I started using this app on an iPhone 6s. It blows away the stock camera app and I was almost always satisfied with the pictures. I would often do side by side tests of Pix and the stock Apple camera app and was always satisfied with the results. I'll update my review once the app has been updated, hopefully to take advantage of the 7 plus. As of the latest version ... I'm happy with the results and will go back to this app as my default camera app for hitting the action shots with the family! Disclaimer: I also work for Microsoft, but not on this project.

Updated review-No Pano. Latest version returns the PhotoSynth (3 months after they removed it). I have not had the chance to test it out but it appears to be the same as the old interface that they had. Thank you! ——- Panosynth stopped working and I was happy that Pix had it. I noticed that an update happened abd took it. Now I do not have a good Pano software solution. Why remove one of the best features. Everything else that this bee version offered I already have on other Apps. Love to give you more stars on this but your shouldn’t have removed one of your best features. Also shame on me for updating to a new version when the older version was fine.

User guide?. This app would be a lot more useful if, in addition to bragging about what it *can* do, it told us *how* to do those things. As it is, it’s just an alternative camera app with the same capabilities as Apple’s camera app.

No Stitching feature anymore. You took away the single feature that made this app great! Now, it is no better than the phones camera app. This app is no longer useful at all to me without the stitching feature. Sorry, but goodbye forever!

Taking features away without any notifications. Dear developers, Not cool.

They killed the reason I got the app.. The only reason I got the app was because you could turn off the camera click sound. Now you can't, so I'm looking for a new app.

Unbelievable, and not in a good way. I thought this app was too cool to be a Microsoft product, but nope, they did away with its only cool feature, pano stitch. The one thing that made this app unique and useful. Meh.

A great alternative to Apple’s base camera app.. If there are just some apps that you like a more “Microsoft feel” to, go for it. It has a few extra features. I do not know how well it does for the nighttime feature, as to Apples night mode is epic, but this is a solid alternative. It also scans documents.

Way made it worse. I loved this app until you updated and removed the panosynth feature, now it’s worthless, please bring pano feature back

No photosynth?. Photosynth was the only reason to keep the app. Don’t know why Microsoft removed it’s only redeeming feature. Very disappointing.

The Best IPhone Camera App. This is the app I've been waiting for and I've tried them all. This is the best app for those that don't necessarily need the extreme options some of the Pro-Camera apps have. This app does all the work for you by working on your photo in the background after you take it. This app quite literally both takes better photos and enhances them better. My photos from my IPhone 6 Plus look far better now. It also takes the guess work out of making 'Live Photos', which you don't need an IPhone 6S for. It will make them automatically for you. You don't have to decide on taking a Live Photo specifically on the spot. I know Microsoft knows what they are doing when it comes to software. They still show they are the best, and perhaps one of the smartest app creators out there now. Thanks!

Is this even the same app any more?. The description of this app on the Microsoft web site claims a whole bunch of features that don’t seem to exist. This seems more like the kind of simple “my first App Store app” camera app someone new to iOS would come up with.

Really Impressed. I have had this for a short time. I saw it in the App Store and my only advice is the widget design is not very impressive, I gave it a try because it was promoted. I am not a great photographer and testing it out without anything special in view the clarity it was outstanding.. I saw my friend outside and we chatted. She let me take a photo of her and she looked great and both agreed that it was a very clear shot. I am not sure about anything else but I didn't make adjustments, with exposure, but what I took, it was awesome. I have no complaints. I do think in your best interest it could have a widget with a design that is aesthetically pleasing. It doesn't matter now that I see how impressive it is. I am really visual, and when I first saw it the design doesn't live up to how great the camera app is.. I also like it to use a burst blend to get the best photo...there are moments that happen very quickly and disappear. If you have a camera that is ready like this, you are likely to get many more moments that are authentic. Even adjusting exposure or moving to get a better light source, people get posed and it gets a fake portrait feel..with this youll get them as they truly are but with simplicity and clarity....bravo

My favorite!. It’s simple and everything you need is right in front of you without having to deal with 400 menus and ads. This is, imo, enter than the Apple cam app and you can zoom in on front facing cam! Love it

Wow, did not expect this.. How did Microsoft end up creating a camera app better than apple, camera+, manual camera, pro camera, and a dozen others? It takes amazingly nice, NON SHARPENED (apple) photos, and an incredibly useful portrait mode like my s22 ultra where you can edit the focus point AFTER you take the photo. Blown away so far. No 48mp mode but still… really nice light touch in eliminating the overprocessed photo that kills Apples own camera app.

Panoramic stitch... I like the Microsoft pix app...and I love all of the new features. My Question is...How come you took away the Panoramic Stitch from the original pix app...I did some awesome & creative panoramic stitches and used it often, but now...🤷🏻‍♂️Why did you take that feature away? Can you bring that feature back? Or am I blind and the feature is still there? Thanks for listening..😁👍

Pass. The “pano” feature struggles with arm movements any faster than a glacier sliding downhill while having a seizure trying to balance exposure. MS nailed it with Photosynth. Pix is a digital train wreck.

They removed the Panorama feature. Why on earth did you remove the Panorama future. It was the best part of the app. I am now going to consider removing the app. I now need to find a new app to do this.

Scan Business Cards Gone. I stumbled upon this app to convert business cards to Outlook contacts. It was great, but it appears to be gone.

Pale imitation of photosynth. Subject says it all. Photosynth it ain’t. Why???

Pretty good. I've used probably every camera app that's popular or recommended on here, and I use Relight probably the most. That being said, I really enjoy that this app automatically adjusts settings, can take video, does automatic adjustments and takes gifs. I think while it's not everything I want, I like it for quick snapshots and I'm looking forward to new features. That being said, I wish it had the ability to use the main flash and the front facing flash. Sometimes those are needed and most good camera apps have that ability. I especially like front facing flash for selfies. Hopefully that is added at some point.

Removed features that distinguished it. The built in iOS camera app is better than this. The “styles” were a really neat way to make photos look like art, but those were removed. I find it ironic that Microsoft being notorious for bloated applications ended up removing the few features that set this app apart.

Worst camera app I’ve ever used. The only thing this is good at is blurring things. Portrait mode? Lay on the blurriness over everything. Horrible filter to “beautify” faces? Pour that blur on. Produces absolute garbage photos.

PAWZITIVELY PURRFECTION1. This might be the best thing that’s happened to me since the Microwave was invented! Well, that is, if I can use frames to shoot my handmade jewelry that I’ll be selling online or by promotional mails and ebooks maybe, thus the APP. I’m rating without having used it, however, I did go in and tour allowing it to show me the very stuff I was hoping to find! This may also be the first important APP for me if they are serious about maintaining and updating, upgrading etc. it will be perfect for a lot of jewelry type businesses and others. Heck, just because I’ve just now found it, doesn’t mean it’s not been there. Can’t wait to use it and spread the word to other jewelry makers and friends. I’ll get compliments and sales hopefully then list where and who to give credits to.💫🌝 Thanks Developers and if there is any testing you need me to try just reach out. I have 3 different iPads, 2 are Pro, IPhone and I’m just once again hoping to prepare myself to start-up my online e-commerce store here very soon. Loved some of those frames I saw! Thank you and talk to you soon I’m sure!

Panorama?. Where did the photo-synth panorama go? That’s my favorite feature! Still love the app, but please bring that back. I’m also missing the OCR features for photos in my photo library

I Don’t Write Reviews. I’m so impressed with how simple this camera is, but has all of the functionality of Adobe PS Camera and ProCam ($5-8). I’ve tried to replace the Apple stock app several times (which has improved immensely). Microsoft has surpassed Apple and every other camera app I’ve tried by a long shot. I’m a huge Adobe fan and use almost all of their products, so when I say it’s better than PS Camera, that’s all that needs to be said. I mean... you can say “extract content” with a photo pulled up, and it will lift all of the text/copy from that photo. And not to make a “plug” here, but Microsoft’s 3-in-1 Office app extracts text from photos/camera into Word, and Tables and Charts right into Excel. They also have, arguably the best Math app that can solve equations just by taking a picture of it or, even, handwriting it. This Camera has that Technology in it. The Extract and Filters are amazing. It automatically chooses the “best” still frame (Clarity) when taking a photo because it’s actually taking a “burst”, or “live” shot like the Apple app. It’s Panoramic feature is more like what you expect from Apps that “try” to do Point Cloud photogrammetry. It’s no Matterport (which that app doesn’t work anyway), or Fyuse (recommended), but this can capture, both, Vertical and Horizontal at 360 degrees. I am not surprised this app is a 4.9 Stars. It’s really a “rare” 5.0 in my book.

Great quality pics!!. Great quality pics! Love the Portrait mode!

Using this as my defaut cam app. Outstanding algorithm producing noticeably better pictures with the unfortunate byproduct of significant lag between shoots

Ruined. I was using an old version which was a bit unreliable occasionally so I thought I’d try updating. The updated version is a completely different app! I bet they fixed all the bugs by removing all the features! It can’t take photos anywhere near as good as the old version. Doesn’t even try to focus let alone enhance the photos. Video is completely broken and every video recorded starts with a frozen frame before going to a black screen and fading in. The flashlight for video turns off as soon as recording starts. Zero reason to use this app now.

Great camera app. Microsoft Pix is now my default camera app on the iPhone.

Needs and update. This app, while fantastic needs an upgrade. I hope Microsoft doesn’t dump it as i still prefer it over my phones camera.

can't get photos off of phone. my iPhone and my iMac don't want to talk. The computer won't recognize or there is a problem witht he file so photo won't export or can't import. Very frustrating and disappointing. Has been working but now has crapped itself

Great App. It is like intelligent stretching of the available hardwares to their possible peak performance and getting near to professional results. Loved it.

Photosync feature rocks but crashing on iPhone X. I am glad Microsoft Dev brings back Photosync feature foe swipe panorama to iOS. I am testing it usinf iPhone X and 7 plus. Photosync stitch always crashes on iPhone X for unknown reason. On 7 plus it works fine. Is it possible also to have the Photosync stitch like Microsoft ICE like providing multiple images which then stitched in post? I do not mind paying for such feature. The Hyperlapse is awesome btw Thanks!

Best ever. I'm usually the first to diss Microsoft but this is much better than the stock app. Anyone know a way to do panoramas and make it activate when swiping when locked?

Rich kss 2323. Thanks for the application is very helpful!

Health hazard. Caused my iPhone to heat up like crazy and left a burn mark on my leg. Does take a good picture though, so maybe an ok app when paired with a selfie stick?

Great photo app!. Excellent alternative to the stock-standard Apple photo app.

Great time saving app. This app is a great time saver! When I add up how long it would take to manually add business card details to my contacts, I can’t believe how much time I am saving. Excellent addition for any professional meeting contacts regularly.

Best app.. I've never written a review. But this app is different. It gave life to my iPhone 5S. Must try.

Okay. I’ve taken a few photos and honestly can’t really notice the difference between ones taken with Pix and the default camera app. If anything, the Pix photos seem a little blurrier and lower definition. Also, videos can’t be recorded at 60fps which is a little disappointing. One great feature though is that with Pix you can disable iOS’ loud and annoying shutter sound in the app’s settings. A feature the default app really should have without needing to silence the phone. Although it still makes the sound when using flash.

Best camera app for pets .. And scenery .. The lot!. This app is brilliant . Simple and foolproof to make your shots look amazingly better . They really look great . Have a go and check out the teeny videos you can share easily with messages or what's app . A winner and five stars !

Impressive but still buggy. Pretty good app that automatically adjusts your photo for the best effects. I still reckon I could do a better job applying filters myself but of course the catch is the amount of time spent. However I feel the app is still quite buggy. It has crashed a few times while processing a photo but the biggest problem I've found is that it drains my battery at an alarming rate. I spent two separate five minute sessions with Pix taking 3 photos each time. My battery dropped from 81% to 71% the first time and 52% to 43% the second time. At this rate I'll only get about 55 minutes running it!

Good pictures. Good pics, slow to start up though

Downgrade.. Serious downgrade from previous version. No longer has photosynth-like panorama. Other annoying bugs like doesn’t remember preferred screen ratio. Very annoyed update info doesn’t mention loss of features. I’m deleting it from my phone.

It’s ok but could be better. Photos are ok but videos aren’t smooth and bit choppy. Disappointed coming from Microsoft.

Best iPhone camera app. A bit slow to open but good. Like the hyperlapse feature

Great app, unique quality.... Great app for pictures.. It really improves pictures... If you can add color accent in this what that will be really UNIQUE...

The go to Photo app. It's replaced the standard iPhone camera app on my iPhone

Brilliant. Simply impressed by the capability of this app. It's brilliant the way it transforms photos.

Well this wasn't expected. I m pretty new to this review thinggy having said that what this app says actually correct I found it take pretty decent night photos and so how enhances the photo. Give it a go I m sure you will like the only thing is missing is a flash option while taking photos!! I hope they will add this feature soon enough 👍🏻👍🏻

Good for scanning text. It selects the page and the rectify and crop editing makes it easy to even the page out for text extraction. Good work tool. If only it could automate text extraction for all images.

Unreliable. Froze the second time I tried to use it (the first being to test it out) - missed the photo opportunity as a result. All the fancy under the hood technology is not much use when you can't even take a photo. At least the built in camera app always seems to work when needed.

Works Great. Pictures come out great. Like using HDR but with better results.

Great point and shoot. Love this app. It gets the best photo of my child - even when he is moving which is often. Using this on a 6 and it sometimes is a bit slow to process the photo to enable me to take another. I’m hoping that when I move up to the X this won’t be as much of an issue

Impressive!. Very fast effects and creates great art in seconds. Keep the effect library growing please! Maybe add the ability to vary and create effects at the user level too.

Hi-Res on iPhone. Hope to see app Utilises 48MP resolution on iphone 14 pro

Buggy and not very good. Once upon a time Microsoft had produced a very good app for producing panoramas and 360d images. Simple and intuitive, it worked and worked well. That was called Photosynth, Then somebody in Microsoft land decided it had to be improved and rolled all of that functionality together with other ‘functionality’ and a bunch of other’Stuff’ and produced something that doesn’t do anything particularly well at all. Don’t bother trying to do panaromas or 360’s, that doesn’t work. If you try and use the older Photosynth app, that’s still available but it’s been nobbled so you can’t use it.

Great app!. Another great Microsoft product. How they get such better pictures from apple hardware I don't know!

Amazing. This app takes amazing photos. Love how it adjusts and vastly improves the picture quality over the standard photo the apple camera takes. I'm terrible at taking photos but the couple I have tried on this app look fantastic.

Great camera app. Great camera app use ever time I have to take photos on my mobile worth having.

Great. Good clear pictures better than just the phone camera as I don't get any grainy pictures like I sometimes do with just the i-phone camera.

Tim Rourke. Fantastic results. This app supercharges picture results with sharper images with much better colour and tone. A real winner and it's free.

Photosynth?. I don't know how you Microsoft can bring yourselves to call the 360 Panorama mode, Photosynth. The original photosynth you guys killed off was art. This is a poor excuse. Let down. You ought to be ashamed. Fix it!😠

Best Substitute For Camera App. I actually prefer the quality of the photo's I take using this app over Apple's own camera app. It has more functionality built-into it, and the pictures tend to be far less blurry in comparison. The "extract text" function is also incredibly handy for converting images into readable text (OCR), and it even works with other images in my gallery not taken with this app. Highly recommended.

iPhone 6 very slow and laggy. Yes iPhone 6. Thanks dev guys ! It Must be Apple slowing down my cpu because of old battery right? Haha all other apps run fine like games etc just this one app, my fav app for taking photos. Please dev guys fix your app for me!!

Meh. Functional, but IOS does the burst best photo thing already and the UI of the native app is much smoother. In face this seems rather poorly designed for a MS product.

a better camera. Prefer this simple camera app to the iOS standard, esp the freeform panorama stitch

Unreliable. Had high hopes as I wanted a silent camera app as the sound is annoying on iPhone 6 but this app kept crashing and was slow Might be good for some but not my experience

Buggy and needs work. Smoother photosynth capturing...except it doesn't work. I tried a 360 panorama and it created overlapping photos and my second attempt the rendered photosynth was upside down. Viewing photosynths was buggy and I could not zoom properly with the image only showing on 1/3 of the screen. Bring back manual photosynth capturing. Comic mode was cool. But cannot type two lines of text in speech bubbles (pressing enter causes the text to scroll off the text bubble). Document capturing is amazing. Really good adjustments are available. Please add OCR, PDF, OneDrive and email support. This version of the app modifies photos directly on the camera roll. So be careful you don't accidentally delete your original photos. I found it confusing to delete photos and there are too many confirmation prompts. Less taps would be better. I am using iPhone 6 with IOS 10.3

Best for iPad. I’ve used and tried them all , this is my favorite,!

Not a gimmick- totally worth it. Pros- takes way better pictures by default than with the iOS camera Cons- lacking some features the iOS camera has, it only does basic picture and video.

Plain interface, outstanding photos.. The Microsoft Pix app interface ain’t pretty but boy are the photos excellent. Incredible surprise. Who knew Microsoft had it in them?

Update fail. App doesn’t even open after latest update?

Impressive but needs more refinement. It definitely a good app. But it lacks somethings that would make it my daily camera app

Panoramic option has disappeared. I used this app all the time for the panoramic feature... where has it gone?

Terrible. Sluggish UI and slow app performance with minimal difference in the results as compared to the native iPhone camera app. I was hoping that this could replace the already perfect iPhone camera app because I wanted to try new things. Please fix the dodgy UI, make it smoother. Also, it makes my iPhone 6 runs really really hot. Slow photo taking performance + sluggish UI = no-go. Learn from this please

Works fine. iPhone 6S with iOS 9.3.4

Recent updates have made it great again!. After one update breaking the volume shutter feature, I’m happy to say the app is now working wonderfully again. I’m not sure which update it was but as of today the app fully works and takes much better pictures than the stock iOS camera app. No more water colour noise reduction!

Smart camera. I use this app often.

More keepers with this app!. Wow, impressed with this app's intelligence in taking action shots of my kids, and pics taken in bright backlight with the subjects in the foreground well exposed. I found that I got better results with this app compared to the default camera app on our family vacation in the Rockies this summer.

Wow. Great app, Microsoft!

Title. Good all in one tool

Allows switching between iPhone Plus' cameras. Allows switching between iPhone Plus' cameras

Really good camera app. Just make it faster to open and make third party so you can use as a official app please do it!!!

Meilleure app photo ios. Great

Microsoft Pix. Produces amazing quality pictures.

Slow startup. Easily beats the default iOS app but for one thing, slow startup due to a 2sec delay on the Miscrosoft splash screen. Needs to be reduced to 1sec or less then it gets 5💫

Awesome. Great app

Great app. works better than the stock app I believe. one thing to maybe fix, my podcast app pauses when I open the app, stock app does not do this

Videos lack sound. I’ve used this app for a couple of years, but for some reason videos lack sound. I can’t figure out what is causing the problem, the settings on my iphone are correct for the app. I don’t know if the app is malfunctioning or is just not good at recording video with sound. Rather a pain.

Awesome. Way better than the iPhone camera software

Great Quality. I love the AI features. So simple to use.

Sometimes requires reinstall. After sometime you may need to delete and reinstall the app. I do prefer it to the built in camera app.

live images. Great camera app, especially the live images (you need a picture that has some movement in it), Pix creates both a still photo and a 4 second video of it and saves both to the photos app

Super. surprisingly a user-friendly software app from Mickeysoft

Terrible Business Card Scanner. So this used to be the best business card scanner from an iPhone. The latest updates have ruined it, I’d like to be able to go straight from the photo ice to creating a contact again please.

Awesome software. This software is really awesome for stabilizing videos (I mean this literally). This came from some unique research and development and it’s very generous that we the public get access to the results for free

Great app for capture presentations. Take a photo of the presentation screen, most time it is able to extract the presentation from the photo. Highly recommend.

Microsoft deleted PhotoSynth panorama feature of this app? Goodbye.. Apple’s own Camera app has now far outstripped the capabilities of MS Pix, except for the Panorama function. PhotoSynth was a genuine advantage for Microsoft, and now they’ve deleted the function from Microsoft Pix. So, one star and delete the app.

Fantastic App. This is a great app packed with features that are discovered as you use it, not to mention M Pix works very effectively at grabbing accurate content from pictures. I’ve tried few others along the same lines as what this application does and nothing compares to Microsoft Pix.

Adding value. Pictures can be crisper, better contrast and colours.

Great to turn my phone into a scanner. Thanks this is super helpful

Best camera app has a few bugs. The widget does not work anymore. Seems to crash on low space situations.

Recommended by a friend. Now he's my best friend 👌

Great software. This is awesome, and as with most of Microsoft’s iPhone apps they out pace even Apples native apps. I use this, Edge browser, Money, Outlook and news. Great stuff!

Gets a good shot every time. Very underrated camera app that takes multiple photos and picks the best on - always. This is a must have in your camera arsenal.

What happened to Photosynth mode?. That was the best feature in this app, it made it superior to other camera apps, even iPhone's native one. The website still indicates it's presence, there's zero communication online about it's removal but it's totally gone from the latest version. I sincerely hope this is temporary.

Simple mais combien efficace. Un 10

Crashes after several quick photos. Very clever but Pix crashes my iPhone 6S when I take several photos in quick succession. Waiting a few moments and then restarting the iPhone brings it back from the abyss.

Decent app, but get rid of the hashtag on the frames. This app sometimes gives a better quality pic than the native app - but not always. Some of the frames are nice: but they ALL have a huge #MicrosoftPix hashtag watermark that can't be removed. Ridiculous.

Very good. Easy. Fun. Pics look goo.

Room for improvement. Ideally one might want to 'crop' then add 'effects' before deciding to save an image. Unfortunately, as it stands now, one must save an altered image before altering it again. For example, I did some cropping on a photograph, but in order to add an effect - I must save the image, even though I am unsure of how the altered image would ultimately look. Otherwise, this app is on its way to stardom.

5 Stars quality of picture at exceptional. Great app

Working Nicely on iPhone 8 Plus. First tests of Pix are going well. Thanks for a great app!

Old photosynth was much better. But I’ll take this over nothing. The gif making feature and filters are quite good too.

Just a suggestion. Hello, I noticed that when I close the app my music does not resume like how it used on the original camera app. Thank You.

Enable telephoto lens for video. I like that in picture mode telephoto lens is force enabled. Please enable it for video mode as well. And what’s up with lower resolution in video?

No Photosynth??. the only reason i got this was hopping you still had photosynth :( that's the ONE thing you guys had going for you as far as picture apps!!!! so disappointed

This app is not good it's deceptive.. I used the Microsoft Pix app to take two identical pictures of an object on a table with good lighting vs IPhone camera app. The Pix app deceptively makes the prior "compare" picture terrible but when you actually compare it to the iPhone camera app the iPhone app is much better in detail and colour with less noise. Don't be fooled MP just want your personal pictures.

Finally, a Camera app worth launching. I have used many free and pay-for camera replacement apps. This is the first one that I launch every time I go to the camera. In fact I often find myself unlocking the phone to find this app instead of just using the camera shortcut. The true magic of this app happens once it detects faces, as is indicated by blue squares. Once it has done so, the app seems to track those faces and stitched together the best lighting and looks from a burst of photos. The result is a very natural looking photo that never actually happened.

Best alternative to stock camera app. My stick camera app stopped saving pics but when I started to use this app, I don’t miss anything.

Notifications. We might be able to block notifications in iOS, but this still doesn’t excuse the poor behaviour of this app. Photo apps should not send notifications trying to prompt you to use the app. That is the equivalent of spam.

Excellentes photos!. 😃

WoW enfin une appli qui fonctionne. J’adore tout simplement facile a utiliser

Doesn’t work. It don’t work. Please update

Love it!. Easy to use. Very good for parties and snapshots. Videos are a bit choppy.

Also-ran in photo editing. It's nice that you can change some settings when taking photos, but the editing, which is more-important to me, is really basic, mostly weird filters. I'd rather use the standard Apple app. I don't understand why anyone would rate this 5 stars, when there are much better apps, like Camera+, Camera Plus, Polarr, Photoshop Express, etc. UPDATE: Response to Developer comments: Under-the-hood features are fine and dandy, but I stated that I wanted it for an editing app, not for taking shots so no benefit to me. And my images have no need for artistic filters.

Solid, minimal camera app. The shots speak for themselves – definitely some fantastic post-processing here. There's decent reduction of motion blur, too. I do wish that the app icon background dark grey instead of blue, though... I have /so/ many ubiquitous blue icons on my homescreen that this app often gets lost. Differentiating it from the ocean may help identifiability.

A little lag but worth the wait. I like that it captures before and after when I actually hit the capture button since I so often miss the moment (amature iPhone photographer here!). It takes a few moments for the app to process and "fix" the right picture for you but its generally worth it. The video setting could still use some work...

Great for quick photos in difficult situations. I'm able to get decent photos of moments that are otherwise challenging due to awkward lighting, movement (kids running), and other difficult situations. I'm disappointed that the latest release is not optimized for the iPhone 7. It does not support the duo camera on the 7 Plus and doesn't save photos in wide color gamut (photos are saved in sRGB rather than Display P3).

Green tint in pics. Every picture I have taken outdoors, at different times of the day, have a yellow green tint to them. When comparing the pics to the iOS camera there is an obvious difference. Indoor pics do not appear to have this problem, as for as I have seen. I prefer the Microsoft Pix for indoor as they appear brighter, making it it easier to see the details. I am not sure if there is a setting that needs to be changed for indoor/outdoor, I haven't seen one, so at this point I can rate the app no more than 2 stars. Hoping this improves!

Live Photo issues. I LOVE THIS APP! It gives me the perfect photo every time. I love how it also give you the option of the photo it took before enhancing it just in case you don’t like the enhancements. The one problem I have with this app is that the Live Photo. It is amazing it keeps everything still except the moving object. However it only works when it wants to. There are times when I want it to take a Live Photo of running water or moving lights but it doesn’t catch it. I’d love for there to be an option to turn Live Photo on and off instead of having it auto or off because like I stated the auto never works when I want it too. Other than that I recommend this app to everyone!!

Easy, easy....did I mention easy?. I'm using an iPhone 6plus so the comments re: the IPhone 7 do not apply to me. With that being said, I really enjoy this app. It's not hard. In fact it's really simple. It's nothing fancy but it definitely takes better photos than my built in camera. So far, the photos are crisper and more colorful. The app shows you both the image you captured as well as the image as the app captured it. On some of the photos there is a big difference. I own almost every camera app the App Store has to offer and by far this is the easiest I've found. Bonus is the better photos. Plus it's free!

Not good for video.. Problem with the video and audio syncing. I recorded a long video on an iPad Pro 9.7 and on the iPad it self the video and audio was synced. However i copied it over to a windows 10 computer and played it from the source file with the Movies and TV video app build in with windows and audio was obviously out of sync. Something wrong here. Vlan was able to play it fine for some reason in sync from the same file. The video format was set to 720p 30fps. Something is amiss.

Great app but could still be improved!. I am a huge fan of what Microsoft is doing and this app is great. Pictures come out looking better than the built in camera app and it has more features than the stock app. It would get 5 stars from me but it lacks the ability to shoot video in 4K. I take a lot of 4K video with my iPhone and would need that function for this to become my default camera app. Great job Mircosoft!

Works great. This is a good replacement app for the camera. It works pretty good. I'm not sure if this is better then the apples camera but it doesn't compete with the camera. The image processing is better with the apples camera but this app is better then most of the other camera applications out there in the App Store. I am sure they will have more updates and better image processing once more people download.

Unresponsive and Unreliable. I like the app when it works but I have found it to be unresponsive when I need it. This was only a minor inconvenience until today when it was unreliable; a video I captured would not save and it just said something went wrong and asked me if I wanted to send an error report. I will never get that moment back. So I am deleting this app and will go back to using my built in camera (iPhone 6).

Best Camera app I’ve ever used. The only reason I didn’t rate the app 5 stars is because it isn’t totally compatible with IPhone 11 Pro Max. Some of the settings are difficult to see because of their location at the top of the screen. Also lacks compatibility with all three lenses. Even with these shortcomings I use the app far and above the other camera apps I have installed.

It's like having a filter. It's like having a filter already set for your camera. I literally took a picture of the same thing with both settings and everyone prefers the iPhone. Literally 10-1 from the friends that commented on Facebook 30 minutes ago. So to me, it's not worth taking up the space on my phone for something that hardly looks different at all.

B+ as a photo app but confusing to use. Knock it out of the ballpark, With the camera however I now have three applications by Microsoft that all have the same function the camera app for scanning documents, you’ve put that functionality into the cloud functionality, All while you have lens that does the same thing and quite frankly a little bit better. I think as a Camera you’ll love this as a document scanner I just scan something but I can’t find.

It's okay. Definitely not going to replace my Apples camera app. The live photos feature gives inconsistent results. I've gotten some strange photos with it. Almost creepy. There is no burst mode, no HDR mode in low light situation it just completely over saturated the colors to try and compensate for lighting. When same shot was taken with Apple camera app it was darker but with minor adjustment with editing the end result was still much better with Apples camera app. In good lighting focus was a little sharper with this app but not drastically better. It's worth a try but for my photography moments it just wasn't enough to replace the existing camera app on my iPhone

AMAZING. I love this app so much. it always gets a MUCH better picture than the apple camera, and I love how instead of wasting your storage with live pictures, it automatically goes to a live pic if it senses interesting motion. I especially love how it can have a shallow depth of field (blur the background) when with apple, you would have to upgrade the whole phone.

Never takes a pic first time. I had to try another app for my iPad's camera since apple screwed up their own camera app by removing it's ability to store Internet standard jpg files. So I gave this a try. It hasn't ONCE taken a picture the first time I snap one. I always have to do it a second time or it won't store anything in the iPad photo gallery. At least it does seem to still use JPG as its file format. One more time and I'm going to uninstall it and continue my search for a stupid simple app to do what the apple app used to do - save in jpg format.

Better than iOS Camera. Wow, this is hands down a million times better than the default iOS camera. I haven't really tried video much but the still pics are great. Sort of wish Live Photos worked the same as they do on the default app but it's still a great app!

Nice Camera App. Nice Camera App! A good addition to your iPhone’s camera app collection. I like the ‘best shot’ & ‘enhance’ features when using the app to take photos. July 2018 review response: Can you please add the ‘SLOW-MO’ video-mode option to the app? I frequently use the SLOW-MO video mode to capture our dogs playing. It would be great to be able to shoot SLOW-MO videos with Microsoft Pix and not have to switch to another camera app to do so. Also, could the filters that are available in the Microsoft Selfie app be added to the ‘Edit’ function of the Microsoft Pix app? Other than those two items, and the fact that the app is just a tad slower than the native camera app, Microsoft Pix is awesome!

Only use this. This app is my go to camera. I love the way it does so the work for you. No need to edit. The clarity of the images is amazing. I wish I could make it my default camera app for the lock screen rather than having to open it then go to the Microsoft Pix camera on my home screen.

Use Pix to capture your memories. This is so much better than the iPhone 7 camera app. I use it often to take amazing cat photos. Apple has no idea how to process hair in a photo, but Pix gets it right every time. My only criticism is that as some of the other reviews note, it does consume a lot of battery.

Really impressive!. Its sometimes difficult to describe to people how impressive this camera app is at taking pictures. I almost removed the Apple camera app were it not for the panorama mode. Apple's camera app really over processes the image. Shots can look quite terrible. Its noticeable especially when zooming in on a captured picture a little bit. I've been fortunate to have used a Lumia 950XL which I miss as a daily driver. I still carry it with me for capturing very valuable footage. The 950XL is still a superior picture taker compared to the iPhone 6s Plus that I'm using / iPhone 7 Plus. Anyway, the work you have done on this app is very much appreciated and I thank you. Any plans to add a 16:9 mode and Panorama? Like the Lumia 950, not cropping off the top and bottom like other camera apps. Great work!!

Photosynth Resurfaces. One of my greatest disappointments was upgrading my iPhone and no longer having Photosynth, the greatest photo app around. My disappointment lingered for months until I googled looking for an app that was similar, and came upon an app I already had and never used with Photosynth hidden inside. Although more polished and perhaps more accurate than my old friend, it lacks the enjoyment and unbounded results of the old app. But still nice to know it has emerged from obscurity.

ASTONISHING !!!. This is absolutely amazing !!! In low light conditions my images have rich detail and very little noise. I use Sony mirrorless cameras and this app will make my iPhone a fabulous back up. I recommend this app very highly—it's been a long time since something this major has been released for photography/videos!!! Thank you, guys!!! BRAVO!!!

Not good for live photos. Although, I like the simplicity of the camera, and as a comparison to stock camera the photo enhancement works great; the program has real issues with live photos. When I want them it fails, when I don't care it takes them. Need a button similar to stock to take live photos, especially when being done on purpose. MS pix should not solely have auto or off. Anyone with half a brain knows how to set options if concerned with storage size. Common MS, fix this and I'm sure more people would use full time in place of stock.

Microsoft Should Pair Up with Apple. I have always said that Apple and Microsoft should pair up and be done. I know that creates monopolies, but seriously when they work together some of what they come up with is just amazing. This app is no exception. Better 'point and shoot' photos, no blur in low light, wand Live Photos for those of us not ready to jump in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 bandwagon.

Delightfully intuitive. The camera all for those of us who don’t like to think. Learning curve? Almost nil. The various art filter effects are very well chosen—turns a boring photo into something worth keeping. The auto sensing of motion and offer to later choose a Live Photo means more data stored but has me keeping Live Photo’s I would have never thought to take. A great option for point and shoot for those of us who aren’t going to adjust technical aspects.

This app will change the way you take photos. I first read about this app on a news article, detailing how Microsoft's smart camera was putting Apple's camera app to shame. So, I decided to try it out and I admit that I am thoroughly impressed. I like the concept of talking three photos, compiling them together, and creating a better overall image. Next, I like the auto enhancements which the app males in all photos being taken. Lastly, I like the overall layout of the app. Its very attractive with the dark borders and the medium icons. This is a really nice app, I recommend it to everyone.

Not optimized for phones with notches. The app hides certain controls and text behind the notch in iPhones X and beyond. It’s surprising Apple even approved it, having had apps rejected in the past for exactly this reason. Guess Microsoft gets a free pass on this one while smaller developers are punished. It’s a shame with all of the resources available to MS, they haven’t been able to hire a mobile UI designer. Oh well, at least the app takes photos?

Very cool!. Great job MSFT! Glad it "just works". One tiny feature request: widget support to launch the app. I currently launch the camera app only from the control center (swipe up) - it'd be nice if I could swipe down from the top in notifications center and tap a widget to launch the app from anywhere (even my locked phone!)

one another photo app with several flaws. lets say that i didnt find anything that would attract me to use that particular app. Whats wrong? 1)no grid 2)too many popping tips "How to use app" 3)updated app "improved "white balance" - i'd say it just made all photos too yellow and unnaturally warm 4)to record the video i must provide the access to microphone. why? what if i want soundless video? If i deny the access i cant even go back and the only way to return to camera mode is to kill the app. 5)as usual in ALL photo apps ALL developers show pathological incapability to implement EXIF viewer for photos, starting from Apple itself I am writing this review from iTunes on PC. I cant understand why the review window on WQHD monitor is so tiny like it was intended to use on a phone only?

Excellent so far!. I have taken multiple photos with both Pix and iPhone camera app and as long as I have stayed with the intended purpose of the app (people photography) I have better exposed people using Pix. Meaning faces are not as dark / in the shade as with the iPhone camera app. So far so good. I do turn off live photos which I do not like in stock camera app or this (you can turn it off by going to top left corner icon and then menu and settings).

Fantastic Camera. This camera app is my primary camera app on my phone. I don't know what magic you used but every photo turns out 10 times better than the built in iPhone camera application. One frustrating thing is when I am previewing a photo. If you double tap a point on the photo, instead of zooming into that point, it zooms into the center of the image.

Great concept.. but.... Great concept.. but... it's missing a few key features before you can even think of using this to replace the IOS camera app, most importantly no access to turning flash on/off is crazy and a huge oversight - also as Snapchat have shown, using the screen flash for the front flash works very well. Many updates needed to be even on a starting level with many of the apps that already exist, I believe once the minimum features are in place this could be a great contender

Better than built in camera on iPhone X. I’ve been testing both cameras side by side, and the Microsoft Pix camera definitely takes better photos on all fronts. Light balance, tones, and depth are all better. I’ve still found that a quick editing helps pics pop, but the Microsoft app gives you a better starting point.

Had potential but a let down. Sadly this app takes away all the choice and flexibility of taking a photograph. The inability to choose if you want to take a live image or a still, or the possibility of reviewing the best image is a deal breaker. Team that with the loss of quality from the native iPhone camera and the poor set of filters available and what you have is a sub-par experience. Want to snap a quick non-technical picture? The iPhone camera already offers a simple and easy way to do that, with excellent results. Want to take something fun or technically interesting? Head to motion stills or ProCam. The saving grace of this app? It allows hyperlapse on the iPhone (finally!), but a feature that would easily stand alone. This could have been so much more....

Just so so and huge file size. This app uses a totally different approach from most other camera apps to try to produce the best images possible, BUT it fails about half the time in my experience. That's probably good enough for taking casual pictures, but I would not risk using this app to capture the most precious moments in your life like your baby's first step, etc. The default Camera app is much more stable and fail-proof.

Surprisingly excellent. I’m hobbyist photographer and have a couple of professional (paid) iPhone apps for taking photos. Even though there is less manual flexibility, Microsoft pix seems to do a better job than all the others. The only criticism is that it doesn’t take advantage of portrait mode potential on the iPhone 7+, 8+, and X. This forces me back to the other apps, until Microsoft incorporates this feature.

Best App for "Point and Shoot.". There are a lot of great camera apps that allow you a lot of manual control that when used with a tripod produce stunning results. However, if you just want decent, blur free shots of your grand-kid's birthday party - this beats the stock camera app by a mile. I suggest a gentle squeeze of the volume control rather than the app's own on-screen shutter button to help ensure a blur-free shot. I have not used or reviewed the video function as I use other apps to take vids. No manual controls except flash which is fine considering what the app does for the user.

Well.... I was really happy with the app especially since it had this one feature that would balance out everything and do all the editing for you BUT I was editing these photos and they were perfect and it said modify the original photos and it usually works so I was like okay but then I went to back to the photos to send them to my friend and they weren't there. So I'm a tad bit annoyed at this point and go back. I go through the same process except the app doesn't do it and I dont know how to fix it. It was really inconvenient and I still dont know how to fix it

All features I installed for are gone... must delete :(. I read and article on the web and was excited to see Photosynth again after so many years. So installed and couldn’t find Photosynth or many other features or settings from the zendesk tutorial page. I went back to the iOS App Store to check reviews and set it to show only recent ones and lo and behold I saw all the other reviews with everyone else crushing the app for removing so many loved features in the latest update. WHY do developers do this? Maybe they were secretly scrapping your private info and didn’t want to get busted by Apple’s new privacy outing mechanisms? Crazy but why else would you decimate an app?

Great app with weird bug. For me, the results are far superior to the iOS app when taking pictures of people, better lighting, smiles and no blinking. Unfortunately, there's a bug that often shuts my phone down when I take a picture with it. The phone then reports the battery is too low to restart so needs to be plugged in to jump start it. As an example, last night the battery was at 51%, took a picture which shut the phone down. Then needed to plug in to restart, once back up, the phone was at 49% and the picture had been saved to the camera roll.

Beats iOS’s Camera app, hands-off. I like this so well, I’ve hidden the native Camera app, and always use this. Unless you’re going to use ProCamera or it’s equivalent, it’s hard to use Camera and compose a better result, without using multiple apps. So often I am taking shots in less than optimal conditions. I automatically take three shots, compare them on a big screen, take the best. Then crop it to adjust before I’ve cropped it, adjust brightness, contrast, and color. That all takes time, and triples my storage requirements in the interim. MS Pix does more than that (less the cropping) automatically, using their AI, so deliver better shots the first time. And I am very happy with the results. I can still go in and fine-tune later, but don’t waste all the time. I get a better first-pass result. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Piece of junk. I keep trying to take pictures with this thing, but it never cooperates. VERY slow starting up. I have even taken to leaving it on in the background, and it STILL takes a long time to start up. And I have an iPhone 7. Worse, it doesn't focus properly. Trying to take a pix in an awkward position, so I can't be touchy-touchy all over the screen, and just can't take a focused shot. The Apple camera app does it with no problem. So far, not impressed.

Well done MICROSOFT!. Using the iPhone as my primary camera I'm pleasantly surprised with this camera app from Microsoft. If you use an iPhone I highly suggest you check this out. Point and click adjustments to photos, takes the work out of adjustments and let's you enjoy the moment a little more.

Best camera app for the iPhone. This app is simple, elegant and works very well. It takes excellent pictures and is now the only app I use on my iPhone except for panorama. Selection of best picture and picture processing work very well. I wish all of Microsoft software worked as well as this app. This is app is easy to use, and makes picture taking with the iPhone a pleasure.

Love this app. It runs great on the xs max (it worked but occasionally crashed on my prior phone which was a 6plus). I use it pretty much exclusively for the panorama feature , and the one thing I would change about the app is to add a setting to pick the default mode for the camera when the app is open (ie allow users to make the mode they use the most the default mode).

Limited. The app doesn't work on pics taken with the iPad/iPhone camera app. The picture quality does not appear to be any better than you get using the default camera app. The app tries to make it look like the app is really improving the pic but using a compare function but the standard pic is not nearly as good as the default Apple camera app. Other than the styles, the app offers no editing capability. I don't understand all the raves about this app in the media. There are better options out there.

DISAPPOINTING. First I thought the app was promising cause it's from Microsoft. It turned out to be one of the worst apps that is very similar to the other apps that are already existed 3 years ago. Besides when you use the front camera how come the photos are flipped?? Like for example I'm holding a glass on my right hand and when I take a picture of myself using the front camera the end result will be awful cause the glass will end up to be on my left hand which is annoying and because our face have different angles on both sides it looks like the photo is distorted. I have to find another app to edit my picture so I could flipped it back. If I could give -5 stars in this app I would. I recommend FOTORUS it's the best app in the world. The rating is more than 10 stars.

Best camera for iPhone from Microsoft?. I can't believe it but Microsoft has been killing it with apps lately for iPhone. This camera does an amazing job at selecting the best shot and fixing the lighting for almost any situation. I haven't had too much success with the live image feature, but I haven't tried taking pictures of rivers or flowing tree branches or anything that would probably work.
