Horrible. This app is horrible I am not going to lie. I barely get any shifts the only time I get shifts now is when someone lets me cover for them. Anytime I work a shift nowadays after that day the shift never pops up again as if they blocked me or something. I have nothing but good ratings so I don’t really understand why. Today I had a gig and they sent me home because they were over staffed according to the shift lead. He told me I would get payed for 4 hours since I came to the location and was sent home on such short notice and that is not what happened. They canceled my shift without pay and when I disputed and told the operator what the shift lead told me they rejected my claim and said I was a no show!!! Like what the heck!!! It’s like the operator wasn’t reading anything I was saying because none of their replies had anything to do with anything I said to them. Support is TERRIBLE!! They don’t help at all. I’ve contacted them for help on numerous occasions and they just disregarded everything and erased my conversations... Instawork is just all hype, it’s not really as good as they make it seem. Insta work needs to fix this bug ASAP because it’s horrible

Geesh!. You know I’m SHOCKED at all the poor ratings Instawork has gotten! I have experienced the complete opposite with this app! Let me tell you, it is AMAZING! Once I started my first gig, I just kept continuing accepting gigs. Of coarse you start from the bottom and work your way up the pay rate. That’s just how life is! You might get paid $17-$25 for the first couple gigs, then you’ll start to see the $25-$49 per hour gigs once they seen you worked for it. That’s in any job! And if your not serious of coarse they will not take you serious! Everyone has to be accountable for there actions here! It seems like everyone that’s writing a review about the deactivation is just blaming the app! Look we are all adults here! Be accountable and your deactivate wouldn’t even happen geesh! Anyways I love this app, yes there are a few things they can change about it but doesn’t everyone start from somewhere? ALL AROUND GREAT APP! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, GREAT EMPLOYERS, & GREAT JOB! SPECIALLY GREAT PAY! Your buggin if you think differently!

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!. Take a close look at all of those golden 5 star reviews! Pay close attention and you will find the pattern. This app is useless and the developers have no idea what they are doing. There is a good chance I am going to hire an attorney because being in California they violate at least 2 labor codes. Once you sign up you don’t see all of the available shifts they promise. I have not been able to get one shift and I am a highly experienced professional and fulfilled all of their requirements including obtaining references! These people are not supposed to demand background investigations until after a job offer. They also are not supposed to collect W2 information. They are so confused about operating as a recruiting agency or an independent contractor. Every day I get 20 to 30 notifications about an available job, I immediately click the notification and the job is already taken. They have obviously over saturated their base and do not have nearly enough work for all the people they “hired”. For the longest time When I did see shifts, they were over 150 miles from my home! They actually thought I would drive that distance for $15 bucks an hour! This app is not what it seems or what it promises. They are a complete mess and they have no clue. Expect to hear from an employment attorney very soon!

Terrible App!. First i’m going to start off with how i’ve been on this app for some time now, everything has changed before my eyes! they don’t send shifts at all it’s more of a bidding app and first come first serve, now they have introduced coach calls with people on the same level as you, who have the power to seriously do damage to your profile as one did! i was approved for 15 shifts before speaking to a coach, 7 shifts were taken from me (that we never spoke about because they were approved) now why does instawork give so much power to lames who abuse authority is beyond me! Sooner than later someone will sue! i’ll even figure out how! It’s ridiculous it’s like giving a pedestrian power to change street lights when they are impatient! instawork was once a good app but it seems every two months they smack a new policy in your face and want you to follow it or you won’t get any shifts! because of this i am no longer on the app! i refuse to work with anyone who thinks constantly changing things last min isn’t problematic. no wonder the downloads are going down! i should’nt have to tell a regular person not qualified to even run a dollar store my work experience for them to decide! thankfully there are other apps with less problems like gigsmart, adia and qwick! the way instawork’s rubbing things they probably won’t be around much longer! you wanna fix the problem instawork stop allowing these fake coaches to mess with peoples profile!

Forget the five stars.. Literally good until it’s not. I actually give 1 star. Gig work for me is about flexibility. They have very strict rules that are ultimately more strict than just working a regular job. All rights are revoked when working for this agency. Of course you can call out or cancel a shift but you only have 5 minutes to do so before cancelling will trigger a consequence. Consequences include being removed from any future shifts you have booked and not being able to book any shift for an extended period of time. This is something unprecedented in my history as a regular work. So any sense of “freedom” or “flexibility” is ultimately undermined by their unrealistic policies. If you can work around that it might work for you. If you really want the freedom to work when you want and have the flexibility to back out when you need don’t sign up for instawork. There are other more flexible, higher paying options.

Life Saver!. I absolutely love this app! I do not remember how I came across it but thank goodness I did. I recently lost one of my jobs and man did I get scared, I got bills to pay and what not. I am still a part time public school teacher during the week however I get paid once a month. So I was feeling hopeless until I came across this app and it is honestly a life saver. There are always plenty of jobs and yes as you start off the pay rate is mildly decent on some but you just got to keep going til they see you’re serious about the work. It’s worth in my opinion. The employees for all these jobs are very nice, professional and are always on the lookout to help you out if needed. Also with some jobs you get paid instantly which is awesome and others you just wait a few days which isn’t bad either. Another plus is that Instawork always has opportunities for you to make a small bonus which is pretty cool. 10/10.

Welcome Video in the way. Looking forward to booking gigs on this app when the events season picks up, which is starting to happen. Unfortunately, just now when I went to book an available shift, I was forced to watch a “welcome” video first, which was really slow, didn’t have any new important info, and which I could not dismiss or fast forward. By the time it was over the shift was no longer available, as they are in high demand right now. I don’t know why that was necessary, especially when I’ve already done multiple pieces of onboarding - including several self-paced trainings and tests, & one live phone interview -and I am already approved for 17 positions. That was annoying. I’m sure I’ll be able to get some shifts soon since I’m seeing more notifications than when I onboarded over a month ago, but it’s frustrating that yet another hurdle was put in place to do so. If they wanted to “welcome” me, even though I’ve been on the app for months, perhaps that could have been *after* I was allowed to confirm the shift.

The real reasons. This app is great has a very great idea on a new way of working. I believe this app is awesome and very up with the times in the sense of getting instant jobs you can’t work for within a certain time all you have to do is meet requirements. The only thing I do not like is the lack of jobs, different types of jobs, more opportunities and easier access to old accounts. I used Instawork before loved it but not enough to keep it, they send you jobs no where near you most of the time and don’t have any other jobs to offer. This app fell all the way down since I last used it and if they want to retain a lot of people then actually find ways to keep them in the app more. Have more jobs people can apply to and have the coach when calling be more in-depth with the user if the app. With more questions you guys ask you can figure out much more about the app users than having people (who I personally know) work for janitor or cashier and they are over qualified or not qualified at all because they never done a cashier job….. does not matter who you are and what qualifications you have. If they never did that job do not have people working those jobs, you will not only lose the app user but also your clients because you are not meeting their needs.

Horrible. I have had several bad encounters with Instawork but today takes the cake! I was transferred a shift from another Instaworker at 2:00 EST. The shift was accepted and there were absolutely no prompts, messages or anything that we as Instaworkers know to look out for. About a hour later my account was suspended and my ability to book shifts were gone. I then at that point received a text saying that I was removed from the shift because I did not confirm it. This is a lie!! I was never prompted to confirm, for one. Secondly, I tried to appeal this obvious glitch in their system and my appeal was denied! All by trying to help someone else out! Why would I accept the transfer if I was not going to confirm or work the shift and also I am in good with this site. The company who Instawork was sending me to. So good in fact that I was favorited and offered a permanent position several times. This is truly ridiculous. Of course their customer service reps have not responded because the help is non existent! Meanwhile I'm losing out on money and they could care less. I am also involved with several communities of Instaworkera who go through similar situations. This platform use to be good but has rapidly declined! I am so upset if you can't tell by the tone of this review. These are people's livelihoods they are playing with and seem to take for a joke

Highly recommend app. The app is great. 2 years ago I quit my job when Covid first happened & after, needed to make money. This app completely changed the way I look at things.. I love the freedoms I have to make my own schedule. I love the fact that you can get rewarded to have instapay for some jobs based on you dedication. I recommend being punctual, reading reviews on gigs and descriptions before booking gig. Show up as instructed and be respectful to the company. Who knows; it can lead to a solid job or just the company can request you to comeback for more gigs. You can even work in different states. I met a lot of cool people and added them to my network. The only thing I would improve is for more gig opportunities to be posted ALL YEAR. There’s certain seasons when the app is very slow and has nothing to offer which is a bummer I wish the app was busy all year round. But overall, this is a great app that I recommend. You can literally make up to $200 on a shift or even more if you see the opportunity to do so.

Can’t get a human/ keep your head down. It’s taking them longer and longer to process pay. The actual employers are finding loopholes to the rules. Many employers do not put the actual job description. When you get there surprise! Your taking out garbage or moving loads of furniture. Not getting tipped for bartender work. It goes on and on. This app is not for the weak. If you are ok with loads of work and crumbs for pay. Congratulations! Many of the employers are working employees and not giving breaks during 8, 10, and 12 hour work shifts. You really can not give a complaint to Instawork about the situation. 1)There is no human to answer or talk to. 2)every issue has a cookie cutter response. 3)If an incident arises and you can not report they will suspend days. It already takes more than a week to get paid. It’s a never ending cycle. Of course they don’t care about the workers. Instawork doesn’t check in on the employers, they take their word for it. As long as they have a contract right? Just remember it’s temporary.

Neglected by support. Is the support department just nonexistent? Because it’s been 3 weeks now that I have been stuck waiting for an update regarding the “manual review” of my background check. I expected this to not take very long, after all it’s a 5 year old traffic related misdemeanor. But when 5days went by and still no word I reached out on the in app support. Your support page says I should expect a response in a couple hours but I have reached out several times since November 9th and haven't received any responses. In fact it shows that nobody has even read anything l've said to this point. I’ve begun sending in daily messages via the website “contact us” form to no avail. This will be my final attempt to get this figured out. Which I really hope it does get resolved because I would love to work through this app. The networking feature and ability to speak with local pros and transfer shifts is what drew me to this platform to begin with. But at this point why should I not I feel like my concerns are being ignored and neglected by this platform?

Be careful of shift leaders and customer support. I am currently dealing with a issue regarding a recent shift. They adjusted my pay stating I was not a location when I actually was. Luckily I was prepared for this and took pictures of the location, contacted support, the site shift leader with the number provided, as well as messaged the group chat just to cover myself incase something came up later. And just like predicted something did happen!!!! Customer seems to want to sweep it under the rug and not pay me which I don’t understand why because I’ve giving them proof and even asked them to contact SAS which is the company I was going to help support through Instawork. I’m guessing they never did because they’re trying to avoid my me and keep closing the conversation stating I never worked even after send photos of me at location, me contacting support and shift leader as well as purchasing something at the location with time and date. Very irresponsible and I hope one has to deal with this. I feel like they do not care because all I can really do is write a bad review so please be careful.

$$&$The BEST AND FASTEST WAY TO MAKE!!$$$$!!. First of all I would like to thank the creators that came up with the idea to create an app that’s so unique and user friendly THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU from the depth of my soul!!! This is where the funds comes in now (lol),!! If you’re looking for a way to earn extra money on top of INCENTIVES $$$$$ just by meeting basic common sense work rules requirement that should be naturally instilled in you already especially if you’ve had a job before in general or if you’re currently working a regular 9-5. You are being rewarded for coming into work on TIME AND following the company’s procedures in any situation you’re in, doing what is asked of you, keeping it professional, NOT calling out ESPECIALLY when it’s not done correctly because then the company is left short handed due to your abandonment when they could’ve filled that high end paying position to someone that really needed it. that’s with any company you have work for or still working for, it can hurt your ratings and effect your high end paying positions (Remember Communication is the 🔑🔑🔑 I promise!!) but Honestly that sounds like a daily work schedule anyways right??? but without the incentives or recognition that Im sure you deserve!! ******NO I WASN'T PAYED TO SAY THIS AND HONESTLY I DONT EVER WRITE REVIEWS BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE NO ONE READS THEM***

Needs lots more improvement. The app keeps glitching, canceling gigs or when im clocking out. “Support” never gets back to out about any issues. I’ve worked the same exact times & places and the other 3 people got paid the same and I’ve gotten the least amount. Just a day ago My payment said it would be processed on wednesday of this week, now it’s saying it wont process till wednesday of next week. It says you can only cancel 10 gigs within 1 month and all cancellations have to be at least 24 hours before the gig but i canceled my FIRST gig 2 DAYS before and the SECOND gig canceled was 3 DAYS before and they’ve blocked me from working at those 2 locations. The app said i had 4 cancellations so I tried to contact “Support” and the asked for proof but the only way to see i’ve only canceled 2 gogs and when is through their end.. If im telling you the app is glitching and saying the wrong information then how can i show Proof of what actually happened? This would have only been my second week working through this app and its been a terrible experience thus far.

Decent platform with software issues and unsupportive of workers. The most frustrating thing about this app is the lack of opportunity and income security. Theres often no shifts available and if you want to get even just 16 hours a week you have to book shifts weeks in advance. There is not a way to find coverage through the platform, you have to message individuals on there. You have can not cancel with the intent of working if no one else takes it and you are penalized for canceling shifts well in advance and those shifts are often booked by others within a day. These penalties result in further difficulty securing hours. There are also connectivity issues that can prevent you from clocking in and out of shifts. I have to re-confirm every shift because 90 minutes before I get a text message that says I am not tracking to the location and will be pulled off the shift in 30 minutes when I have a 40 minute commute. I've also seen someone be pulled off a shift for not confirming while working a shift and we were left understaffed because if it, even though he still arrived because he didn't know it was canceled, they were unable to get him put back on the shift after attempting to get in contact with Instawork Support and he had to go home. There isn't alternative option out there, not that I've seen. I've tried a few apps and this one is better but it has a lot of flaws.

Good app not enough gigs. The app looks really nice and has a nice description of all jobs. I live in Miami and almost all the gigs that are available to me are at least an hour away and the pay isn’t enough for me to drive an hour plus to and back. The idea is very cool and for the people that are able to get gigs I can see why they would love it. I would say there aren’t enough gigs in my area and if there are I’ve clicked notification as soon as it pops up on my screen to book and even me going my fastest to confirm everything by the time I’m done it says the shift is already booked and that it’s not available anymore. I’ve the app the a couple months now I believe, and I have yet to be able to book one shift. I don’t hate the app I think it’s great there’s just a lack of availability in my area and when there is it’s near impossible to get one booked because they’re filled up in a matter of seconds. I don’t discourage anyone from downloading it this is just my experience.

NO PHONE CONTACT OR APP SUPPORT! LOTS OF WASTED GAS AND TIME. This app is needing sooo much work!! I arrived to a site yesterday that needed an escort from the company to enter the building. I called the on-site contact over 25 times just to finally get cursed out by some lady saying I have the wrong number! Support provided me with another dead end number and instructed me to stay on site and continue reaching out for an hour to receive min pay. After an hour and 20+ more unanswered calls I was instructed to not leave until told to do so, 2 hours later no further communication fro IW, so I left a message stating it’s freezing outside, now dark and I felt unsafe. I continued to message for a resolution and was told they were trying to contact the partner as well. Well 6 hrs later my account was suspended for a no show. Despite location tracking on, communication and screenshots they are saying the decision is up to the partner and they have 72 hrs to respond! If Instawork can’t reach them how could I? I was just cheated out of my 4 hr min the prior week due to them on call assigning me to a shift that required a COVID questionnaire 24 hrs in advance but was booked with less than 24hr start time! There has to be something that can be done about these unethical decisions! They respond and close your ticket without investigation or resolution.

Help me understand. From here on out when I first see it I’m going to let it be known I don’t understand why people like me get done this way I’m not who I used to be I no about my pass I had no control of it now I grew out of it so much Ben going on but i pray that whatever I talk to did not misunderstood me but by law no one have the right to judge me if u don’t no the full story in the next day or to I will stop asking for work n just start up my own business and then have someone to help me with all of the jobs I applied to did the same thing in the pass year. Now I allow this app to talk to my boss from my other jobs will the truth be told idk but I don’t want to no about because I can say anything who believe me but I experience what happened to me now if a lie was told and then what problems so no conflict to happen I won’t let it be done I take that stand for my right so I won’t have to experience nothing like that no more i for ever going to tell the truth because people will lie to keep their jobs I got terminated for doing the right thing BUT IT A SOMETHING ON THE WALL THAT SAYS SEE SOMETHING REPORTED IT to much information but if no one can’t accept me for who I am I don’t need no job but I do have a plan to stop all this. GOD DID IT IM NOT TAKING NO CREDIT

Job Job you can ever do. I really do enjoy working with Instawork. i'm unsure why so many people wrote bad reviews and the people who have wrote that they have not got paid I always get paid. with any job that you work it's never perfect but I will say that instawork and their customer care they really really work with us and they do their very best to continue to keep us happy and paid and making good money l've had personal issues where I've had to miss my shift unexpectedly which would be considered a no-show or I've had to cancel last minute and l've never had an issue submit to them a note or whatever that they need and again no issue I would highly highly recommend instawork to anyone as I have already but I will continue to do so. What other job can you pick your hours, what other job can you make endless amounts of money, and what other job offers all of the amazing incentives that instawork offers especially now with the holidays approaching. as I already stated I truly in my heart believe that instawork works there very hardest to make us as much money as possible and to keep us all happy and I think they do a very very very good job at that therefore I would give them nothing under a five star rating and I want to use this opportunity to say thank you instawork for everything that you've done and the opportunities, the endless amounts of opportunities that you have given me I love instawork and I will continue to pick up shifts probably for a long time!

Straight up thieves. My boyfriend has problems with Insta work from the very beginning. First it was with the uniforms and verification. The app glitched and didn’t show him on of the categories he needed to start a shift. It took two weeks and many workers for someone to finally be of use and help. Once he got his first shift, he did exactly as the app told him and began to work. The shift was fine, but he had to fight to get the tips he was rightfully owed. When he received his first payment from that shift, Instawork took the money he was owed saying that the company reported he didn’t show. My boyfriend had a mountain of evidence that he did work, from pictures of the event, the shift leads name, names of other people from insta work at the event, captain codes (what you need to literally start the event), but was tossed from worker to worker, having to re explain his case repeatedly. Some of the people just left the chat without even responding! Finally, someone submitted a claim but the company denied it saying he didn’t work. How! When he has so much evidence of him being there?? Customer support is the absolute worst. Corporate doesn’t care at all and they are so unprofessional. They just blatantly stole his money. My boyfriend even reached out to the company and they are ignoring his calls!! Instawork had been a complete waste of time and a let down.

Very helpful. This app is really good for finding jobs when u need income. There are plenty of opportunities and a variety of jobs on a daily basis. The only downfall for me is the fact that I am not in an area that can actually benefit from this app. I signed up and did all the requirements, phone interview, assessments, etc. and then went to sign up for a job that was a little more local to where I live ( the only one I had seen being offered in my state so far) just to find out that I could not work it bc my state doesn’t allow for the W-2 paperwork to be done online or however it is being done in other states. So I did this whole process for pretty much only a couple jobs that allow 1099 tax documents- which are not close to me to make it worth the commute. So if I was currently living where Instawork is being utilized, I think I would be very successful bc of Instawork. I just wish they would have mentioned this before I did all the sign up work.

The instawork office doesn’t know what their doing. The app itself is great but as far as the support team is non existent it’s takes 3-5 days for them to get back to you and sometimes they dint even get back to you plus if you work over the hours yiu were scheduled for which happens all the time the app will clock you out and then they tell you yiu can adjust the hours but you can’t. If you work a 12-14 hour shift your screwed for getting paid in the same week. I worked a 14.5 hour shift got paid for 6 hours of it and then trying to get in touch with someone to get paid for the the other hours is ridiculous no one responds back. My manager adjusted the hours on her end the next day and 6 days later it’s still not fixed on the app where I can get paid for it… the support team needs to get their stuff together.. we work diligently just to not get paid on time. We have bills due that we can’t put off because instawork won’t pay us when we are supposed to be paid… it’s nothing but a headache. Who wants to work a 14 hour shift then have to spend days trying to get ahold of someone to have our hours fixed…yay your def gonna get paid it’s just how long it will take to get paid people have bills that are due we can’t say “ instawork owes me I’m waiting on them to get paid “

disrespect and lack of understanding not worth stressing over some individuals opinions. I would not recommend this application. Coaches are very unprofessional there’s no communication between employee service support and if they do they never answer or don’t solve issues you come across. Missing hours and pay issues no one helps you solve them. Some discriminate on certain employees and carry unprofessional behavior the representation of the application should be based on solemnity team work and commitment in guidance of each task given for each shift I came across a lot of discrimination between groups of employees and The captains don’t at all have constructive rationality mostly all shifts is a one day job so some go by preference in ethnicity vs getting tasks done. My expectations were different, a welcoming experience to a team of we are all on the same page was far from ideal…. Well with this feedback I say instawork is not a good source to making a passive income part time or full time, I’m still missing hours and a full day of work till this day they don’t respond. I showed proof of having the benefit of their doubts by screenshooting my issue worse they ignore facts by not responding.

I’d give 6 stars if I could. I have been on Instawork over a year now and it’s been life changing for the better! I started out doing Instawork as a side gig but I quickly learned I loved the diversity in working at various locations and networking with so many people in the hospitality industry! Long story short, I work full time on this platform full time now and I find that the income is absolutely sustainable and I can also continue to grow as a professional considering I work many different positions in many different locations and networking along the way which anyone in hospitality knows is a huge asset! I have recommended this platform to so many people that I know and I am happy to leave this review. Making your own schedule and being your own boss is an experience I am grateful for, and anyone who encompasses the true heart of hospitality as well as exhibits a work ethic embellished with values such as truth, honesty, and integrity will be wildly successful. You’ll never look back to the 9-5 job, day after day, year after year, doing the same thing. My advice to you is if you are committed, give Instawork a try; you’ll have nothing to lose and so much to gain!!

Love this app. I have had a really hard time finding work, even with other gig apps the work is hit or miss and you can’t make the type of money you can pay your rent with. With Instawork I have been able to secure decent work at decent pay with great people. This app has work for every person no matter what you are qualified to do, they have something for everyone. Not only do they have a huge variety of work options they also have a huge quantity of shifts available. You can work as much or as little as you want. It’s worth taking the time to do all the things you need to do to get qualified and verified. After you are verified, you pick the type of work you want to do and then watch the jobs come thru. Make sure you set your filter every time you search to your desired area and how far you are willing to travel. That is the only thing that is a drawback but totally worth it. I have nothing bad I can say about this app besides that. They have given me opportunities that no one else has which has allowed me to become independent and feel good again knowing I can support myself. The people I have worked with and for have been so nice and helpful. My experiences have all been positive. The app walks you through every process, anyone can follow it. If you want to work Instawork is all you need!!

Very Cool!!!. The Instawork app is simply user-friendly in just about all aspects that there really could be in regards to finding satisfaction in a product/service, far beyond what you would ever initially anticipate an app to be, simply configuring itself from what you never knew you were ever missing out on in life before so suddenly making impact on being exactly what your life was in true need of, andddd ESPECIALLYYYY SOO in being an app that’s conveniently providing assistance, pioneering more-easible accessibility to resources within the market that specifically pertains crucial to continuing structural rebuild and continuing growth within our economy! The masters at Instawork have made it so simple for their consumers that in the matter of time it took me to roll out of bed and finish a quick small to medium-size bowl of cereal, not only was I still on usual pace with my regular daily routine but, I next made my way into my morning shower with my personal Instawork profile filled out, all on-boarding documents authorized, and even found myself off to have “completed” a handful of applications “ already. I don’t see how finding work could really get any much more easier and convenient than this, and do feel like this is a company/app that will own that stance well into the foreseeable future!

❗️❗️❗️❗️ NO DALLAS MARKET ❗️❗️❗️❗️. I wish I had checked out the most recent reviews about this app before I signed up. They haven’t even tapped into the Dallas Texas Market. I have no idea why they haven’t don’t that yet. Honestly, it’s not a smart business move. Dallas is a huge market. Even if they plan on it. They are not transparent upfront about the cities they do have markets in. Thus increasing their chances of obtaining personal information from you upfront without giving you all the facts to make an informed decision. It’s really inconvenient to find out after the fact and then request to have my account deleted. I don’t want to wait around for you guys to get it together and have my information sitting there without useful purpose to me as the consumer. Kinda shady if you ask me. Don’t apologize either to the people you’re doing this to, tell us how you’re going to fix it and by exactly when. I would suggest adding a feature where you ask for location permissions to determine if there is even a market for people who are trying to sign up and then, provide an option to send an email to sign up once a market is available in their area. This is a no brainer. Oh wait - you wouldn’t have all their other personal information and registered accounts otherwise right? Riiiight.

A lot of bugs need to be fixed on this app. Ok first of all. I’m reading complaints from people and they are still putting 5 stars. I wish people would rate accordingly so they can fix the things that are wrong with the app. Second of all there are waaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too many people on the platform and not enough jobs. When a gig comes up it’s gone with in seconds and to make it worse the app has difficulty showing the available gig when it pops up. I’m not sure why that is. When I click on earnings or any other tab the information pops up right away. But when I try to see open gigs it can take anywhere from 1-5 minutes to open and by then the gig has been taken. The way they rank people and give certain people priority is really unfair. Also note you are an independent contractor which means they can work you your entire shift without giving you a break or meal break. A lot of the companies take advantage of that they also lie in the add and say free parking and meals provided a lot of that is untrue setting you up for failure. They also have it so other Instawork peers can rate you which I also think is unfair because people can lie to get you off the platform so they can have more work. Almost everything about this app is messed up. They really need to fix it. Hopefully another company comes out with a better version of this app.

Hustle. If you like to hustle & earn extra income this is the app for you. I’ve personally been working non stop through this app. Since January 24th 2022. That was my first gig. For the next 8 months I was working in a different place almost every single day, I would be going to a new location to utilize my skill set. Now every gig is different and nothing is perfect but all in all this app via the gig economy marketplace has enabled me to fully focus on an upcoming career change. My point is instawork is legit & if you are passionate, professional & humble about your work. This app will take you to the next level. I am now writing a review because I am taking a bit of a break from the non stop gig economy. If you’re a good worker, Instawork will notice & will reward you with more incentivized gigs. It’s hard work & paying attention to detail goes a long way. Cooking, serving, bartending, warehouse, dishwashing, even driving. Setting up for events, most likely a wedding or corporate display. The platinum bonus is nice & the developers seem to care about the user experience. As the app is constantly being updated. While keeping a good head on your shoulders this app will help you down the road. Just remain professional & consistent. This will not go unnoticed. Thank you for reading this review. This comes from my Heart. -Jim

Euler are. So I accidentally change my star without changing my review and I see they replied. Instawork is annoying and useless at times. For starters, communication is terrible. always takes days for them to response and just for them to respond with a copy and paste. Second, I want to state that I booked a shift and canceled it within the 15 minutes. Apparently I didn’t cancel it because when I checked again it was still there. I contacted instawork and explained everything to them. I explained that I booked the shift and checked the location and then canceled because it was too far. Any shift we book we have a 15 minute penalty free time to cancel. I use that time to check the location and if I can’t get there I cancel. Even after explaining it to them, they couldn’t do nothing for me. They explained it was a late cancel. I want to state, I canceled those shifts more than 48 hours before the start time. We shouldn’t even get penalized for canceling a shift before 24 hours. Then the agent tells me she asked someone and they aren’t able to fix my late cancellation even though they understand. So you’re telling me you guys can’t change things in your own app? I only came back for instant pay and I worked hard for it and right at the end of the month, this mistake took that from me. I’m so tired of their rules. When I first joined back in 2021 it was so much easier and nice to use.

INSTAWORK ACTUALLY DOES WHAT IT SAYS. I have tried different apps in order to be able to work when I need incone between jobs, when I’ve been out of work and MOST apps do not deliver..straight up, they do not and many of other app reviews reflect this. Instawork on the other hand is user friendly, posts open shifts and you can go through pick your shifts and go to work. It is truly user friendly. If you have questions they are answered quickly and this is a REAL BENEFIT. You do have to upload a resume or your past work history in order to qualify for different shifts. The Instawork app I have found to be incredibly user friendly. I’ve worked at IKEA, Restaurant Depot, a few catering gigs with “upper end” establishments which I’ve enjoyed The more you work, show you’re dependable and reliable MORE shifts open up to you. In fact, as you receive “badges”, higher levels, your hourly pay raises as does your ability to see open shifts before others do. It’s a great way to make money when you are at a crossroads in life, lost a job, coming back to work after being off, etc. You are also able to chose to only do I9 work, or you can add on your verified information and do W2 work along with the option of looking for a job with a company who is using Instawork to find a good fit employee. Instawork is worth a try if you want user friendly, control of your life along with working with some great people…

Still haven’t gotten help. I’m new to Instawork. It seemed like I could make a little extra money on the side. All the gigs that are showing up for me are w-2. Great! Less taxes for me to pay in April! I have to upload paperwork? Sure! I don’t mind! Only it’s not letting me. I can’t upload any documents on my profile where it says w-2. I can only start on the actual gig prerequisites. Ok…I can only put the phone number for who will verify my info. It accepts that then nothing. I get a turning wheel as if it’s loading. It doesn’t matter how long I leave it for, it still won’t go to a different page. I can’t even go back at this point. It’s like the whole app is frozen. I’ve forced restarted the app and tried again. Same result. I’ve restarted my phone again, just in case. I got a message on that page saying “error loading page. The requested url was not found on this server”. Hmmm….I put in my request for help with pictures. It’s been 2 days and my request wasn’t even seen let alone answered. I can’t get any gigs until the w-2 is setup. Can’t get the w-2 setup until someone from support helps me. I’ll give it a week. If after that, I can’t get that fixed, I’m uninstalling. Right now, the app is just dead space on my phone.

It’s fanTastic!. I've been using Instawork for a while now, and it has completely transformed the way I find temporary work opportunities. Here are a few reasons why I love this app: 1. **Easy-to-Use Interface**: The app's user-friendly interface makes it a breeze to browse and apply for jobs. You can quickly set up your profile and start searching for gigs in your area. 2. **Wide Range of Job Listings**: Instawork offers a diverse range of job listings, from hospitality and events to warehouse and general labor. There's something for everyone. 3. **Flexible Scheduling**: The flexibility it offers is a game-changer. You can choose when and where you want to work, making it perfect for students, freelancers, or anyone with a busy schedule. 4. **Transparent Payment**: The app provides clear information about pay rates and when you'll get paid. No surprises, and that's much appreciated. 5. **Great Support**: The customer support team is responsive and helpful. They've resolved any issues I've encountered promptly. Overall, Instawork has simplified my job search and provided me with numerous work opportunities. If you're looking for flexible work, I highly recommend giving it a try!

FANTASTIC just wish for closer opportunities. First of all I would like to thank the creators that came up with the idea to create an app that's so unique and user friendly THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU from the depth of my soul!!! This is where the funds comes in now (lol),!! If you're looking for a way to earn extra money on top of INCENTIVES $$$$$ just by meeting basic common sense work rules requirement that should be naturally instilled in you already especially if you've had a job before in general or if you're currently working a regular 9-5. You are being rewarded for coming into work on TIME AND following the company's procedures in any situation you're in, doing what is asked of you, keeping it professional, NOT calling out ESPECIALLY when it's not done correctly because then the company is left short handed due to your abandonment when they could've filled that high end paying position to someone that really needed it. that's with any company you have work for or still working for, it can hurt your ratings and effect your high end paying positions Remember Communication is the P P% I promise!!)

Location Issues. On March 16th, I was at a job site and the app stopped working for me. The area had bad service which in turn turned off my ability to log in, clock in, and somehow turn off my location. And throughout the day, it would log me out again and again. This turned into the team lead clocking me in late at 9:51 AND taking an additional 27 minutes off of my time? I reached out to support and they denied my claim although I had an in-person conversation with this said lead. I pulled this woman to the side and expressed exactly what happened and her response was “I’ll take 30 minutes off the backend.” Absolutely not, I was there on time and worked until my shift was done. Not time should be removed, but added because of her lack of acknowledgment. So with that, I’ve reached out to apple to find out more on my significant locations and they weren’t able to help me. Instawork developers need to offer a solution to problems like this. It’s frustrating that I’ve worked and I’m not getting paid for my work because of someone who is overwhelmed and entitled feels like it’s okay to not pay someone.

Instawork ROCKS!. As someone who has struggled to find flexible work opportunities that align with my schedule, I cannot express how grateful I am for discovering Instawork. This app has completely transformed my job search experience and has become an invaluable tool in my professional life. Instawork is a gamechanger when it comes to finding reliable and well-paying job opportunities. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, providing a seamless experience from start to finish. Within minutes of creating my profile, I was connected with a multitude of potential employers eager to hire individuals like me for temporary or part-time positions. One aspect that sets Instawork apart is its vast network of reputable businesses and organizations. From restaurants and hotels to event management companies and beyond, there are countless opportunities available across various industries. The quality of the job listings is exceptional, ensuring that job seekers are presented with only the best positions available.

Horrible algorithm. I’ve had Instawork for a couple of years now dabbling in and out. I love the idea of the Gig Apps and have taken advantage of a few. Through comparison Instawork seems to have a lot of clientele, but BEWARE! you won’t see many gigs at all when you first sign up and if you do it’ll be very scarce, probably pretty far in distance and the pay won’t be too appealing. When you finally get enough shifts to actually book more…you have to go through levels (bronze, silver, gold, and platinum) what they fail to mention when you sign up is this is the only way to truly make money! If you’re not on gold, or platinum honestly ITS REALLY NOT WORTH IT! Unless you just want maybe 1 shift every couple of months. And you have to keep it up and keep your level every month or you lose it and have to start all over! It can be a headache and unfair when you’re looking for consistent gigs! Just don’t believe the hype they sell lol they could truly take over gig world with instant same day payout like QWICK and a better algorithm for access to shifts..it’s truly ridiculous

Instawork. So, let me start by saying that this app has a lot of great upsides. It provides you with work where you can not only make your own schedule but also have the opportunity to work so many different places while also making decent to really good pay. At the same time, Instawork has a lot of issues and bugs that really need work. The app changes “paid back up” to a regular worker the day of constantly with certain shifts. Almost every gig I work I get a notification that my locations settings were disabled, when they were clearly working. The most frustrating part is waiting for an hour or more to get clocked in and then the business says they don’t need you. Typically you would get paid 4 hours if the business cancelled less than 24 hours before the shift. In my experience and for many others I know, Instawork has fought us on giving us the 4 hour pay regardless if we commuted all the way there and got sent home. This is a great app with lots more potential, but these issues that are causing very unfair situations need to be worked on.

Allows businesses to steal from you. The app is horrible to use when you need customer service. Also it has failed to track my location at clock IN time (so you lose money because you’re unable to clock in and when you request an adjustment with the business they will reject it because Instawork tells them that you were not tracked in the building yet) but conveniently works so well when you’re clocking out that if you’re 10 feet outside the door it tells you that you’re too far away to clock out. They also allow the business to pre schedule a break which deducts (in my case 30 minutes of pay) from my check for a break that I was never offered or took. If they want to do that the business should have to keep track of who took how long of a break and enter that manually later. They are breaking federal law by doing this. It could be an enormous lawsuit and everyone involved would be able to get all their back pay and penalties (typically around $1000 per person per incident) I ask customer service to help and they just tell me to request an hours adjustment. But the businesses just reject it so what’s the point? Breaks should be confirmed in the app as they are happening. Location tracking needs to be improved this is also a lawsuit waiting to happen because people’s pay is incorrect.

Review. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'm delighted to share my positive experience with Instawork Gigs! This platform has been a game-changer for me in finding hourly gigs at local businesses. The ease of use and seamless navigation made the job search process stress-free. I particularly appreciate that Instawork is continuously expanding its reach to include more major cities, giving users like me access to a broader range of opportunities. The recent addition of hiring for essential services, such as warehouse workers, janitorial staff, and retail merchandisers, is a commendable step towards supporting the community during challenging times. The latest version of the app brought with it some bug fixes, making it more reliable and efficient. I'm impressed with their dedication to routine maintenance, ensuring a smooth user experience. If you're looking for flexible work options or seeking essential services jobs, I highly recommend giving Instawork Gigs a try. It's been a valuable resource for me, and I look forward to exploring more opportunities as they expand to even more cities. Thank you, Instawork, for helping me find the gigs I need while contributing to essential services hiring. Keep up the excellent work! Happy gig hunting, Garrett Hunter

Great app, but poor punishments. I love this app and it has helped me a ton and I recommend it to EVERYONE. However their punishments are way too harsh If you cancel a shift 23 hours in advance instead of 24 you are automatically disqualified from any metal and it's the dumbest thing ever. I was eligible for gold which would have given me the privilege not only for early access to jobs, but also instant pay that gives me money in my account right when I clock out. However, I cancelled my gig to work 23 hours in advance because I knew for a fact the shift would be covered immediately. They always get booked within 10 minutes of being posted because people love those opportunities, so I knew they wouldn't be mad if I cancelled. Instead I just checked and I don't qualify for not only gold, but not even bronze. That's also one of the worst things about the ranking, if I have worked the whole month flawlessly the new ranking doesn't even kick in until the first of the next month, so I think the punishments are quite excessive and they ruin the experience knowing I have to go the next month not only without instant pay which I was looking forward to, and early access for more jobs. I'd understand if the punishment was 4 hours in advance, but 24 is REDICULOUS knowing the job will find a replacement almost immediately and no one is inconvenienced other than the employees

Great platform. I’m so thankful for this platform and how it has given me the flexibility to stay self sufficient during hard times. I initially enjoyed this app until I realized that the shift leaders are sometimes not trust worthy and it’s really easy for them to set you up placing their good friends to come befriend you for information or just to see where your integrity lies…I’ve been strategically placed in areas where there were nothing but imposters and informants calling themselves analyzing me. I was disrespected so bad on one of the shifts and when I attempted to tell management that I was leaving they beat me to it claiming that I wasn’t feeling well!! To discredit my complaint, It’s very cut throat. You have to minimize yourself in front of people with low emotional intelligence in order to be liked or favored not to mention sending me home for being dressed properly while others are wearing thin see through clothing and nothing is told to them. The “captains” are catty and sometimes raggedy with their approach but not all are like this so it’s cool, I was speaking to a captain today and he blatantly turned his head and ignored me as if I’m so unimportant… Chile the mess is real but I won’t let that get in the way of meeting new people and making some money.

A great concept!. When I first downloaded the app I was excited throughout the process, and I kept thinking what a great idea to help people work! Well as I was on my way to my first shift I got a notification that i was paid 50$… nothing other then that till I was about to pull into the job and poof nothing the scheduled job was gone. Ok I thought cause they did pay me 50$ to drive out there so that was super cool of them. Then I found out my account was suspended due to my background check… I’ve made mistakes in my life nothing that isn’t forgivable! Nothing violent, no child charges nothing that would make me a threat to the community. They still won’t tell me anything except to wait and hope for another background check…. Ummmm well it’s gonna stay the same! If I didn’t have some sort of issue I probably wouldn’t be going through a online temp service. Anyways it seems to be a really good platform for people to work, i just ask Instawork to understand people have made mistakes in there past and give them a chance to do right….

Changed my life!! Recommend 100%. I was having a really hard time trying to figure out what kind of job I should get knowing none of them, that I have access to, are really spectacular. It was really hard for me to do interviews and things like that because of anxiety but then I found the wonderful world of gig apps!Where are you can be just about anything you want to be! No pressure to be perfect for a job interview. Just make sure you’re presentable, clean, have the attire that they require (ha),Do the best you can like you would any other job, show up on time etc, and you’ve got work!! No awkward employee interactions if you don’t get along with someone you don’t have to see them again.I think my favorite part is it takes the monotony out of full-time work (or part time if you so wish). I also like that you make your own schedule completely 100% make your own schedule just can’t no call no show which is horrible to do to people anyway!

Support. All in all the app is great I’ve used it for quite a few quick gigs, how ever my most recent gig has been the most problematic one I’ve ever done. I couldn’t clock in because of issues with the clock in location being over a mile away from the working location but I continue on and work because the contact says she will fix it. Once my shift is over I notice I’ve been removed from my jobs and the one I had just spent hours working was gone. I reach out to support as the information from the notifications says to contact support within 24 hrs. It’s has now been 44 and counting hrs since I reached out to support without a hint of acknowledgment that I was in need of assistance. It’s quite disappointing having experienced that since I tell everyone I know about this app. I hope that you all get back with me soon. Update: Support finally contacted me and pretty much time me that a gig I booked over a month I was not longer able to work because someone booked it. It’s absurd and imo I feel like I should still get paid because y’all are the problem not me.

Problematic Software.. This app will get you some great gigs, don’t get me wrong. But they clearly could use some temp workers of their own to deal with all of the technical problems they have. First of all, if anything goes unexpected with your shift don’t expect to be paid for your work. I wasn’t able to clock out for my first shift and still haven’t been paid even though I’ve filed a complaint-this is over a month ago now. Every person I’ve met from Instawork who’s worked at least a few gigs have had this issue. Pretty problematic when you’re expecting hundreds of dollars but those just never appear. Today though, was the trigger for this review. I booked a shift last night and drove over an hour to get here. Over twenty minutes before my shift, while I was 3 minutes away from the l’ovation, they texted me saying I wouldn’t make it so they removed me. So now I’ve invested my time and money but I get removed with no prior notice and no compensation. Of course their app has no means to to address problems such as these (they have preset catatonies of problems that you can choose from, oh and there’s no phone number to call. So yeah def download if you feel like planning on work and pay just to have it, virtually randomly, erased. I know other workers who’ve had shifts they booked disappear with not even a message at the time of occurrence. Clearly they either need to get some better software, or more human help to address the problems that are created with what they have.

A Dream come true. I started instawork with an invite through a friend. I was very skeptical in joining, however, my friend insisted that it was a great opportunity to join. I went ahead and did my first gig and I have never stopped. I feel free from a 9-5 job. I have an opportunity to engage in other commitments in my life like school and family. It is so much fun and very adventurous while making money. I also love the fact that they have batches like Gold, Top pro etc which encourages and rewards you for an outstanding performance. This is my job and everyday I am loving it. I am no longer stressed out or burned out like a 9-5. Thé pay too is amazing. If you don’t take a step into witnessing the dream/ opportunity you are definitely missing out! Do you wanna pay your bills on time? Do you want to make some extra cash? Do you want real flexibility? Do you want to be rewarded for your performance/ reliability? Do you want to spend more time with family? Are you a student trying to pay tuition with work or need extra time to study? Join instawork and you won’t regret it :) I did and I am glad I did!

Instawork Rocks!. As an employee at Instawork, I am proud to write a positive review about our organization and the valuable services we offer to job seekers. Working here has been an enlightening experience, and I'm genuinely impressed by how we prioritize efficiency and empathy in assisting individuals during their job search journeys. Instawork”s mobile app has been a game-changer, providing a user-friendly platform that streamlines the entire process of seeking new employment opportunities. The intuitive interface allows users to easily navigate through various features, making it convenient for them to complete tasks efficiently. One of the standout features of the app is its comprehensive job search functionality. It aggregates job listings from various sources, presenting users with a wide range of opportunities tailored to their skills and preferences. Job seekers can find suitable positions quickly, increasing their chances of landing a job that aligns with their qualifications. Overall, Instawork”a app has revolutionized the way job seekers access support and find employment. Its seamless user experience and extensive job search makes it an invaluable resource for those in need. I am proud to be a part of an organization that genuinely cares about helping individuals regain stability and move forward in their professional lives.

WORST SUPPORT SYSTEM EVER. I think if Instawork wants to continue growing they need to hurry up and set up an office in the US. The support system is terrible. They don’t even have a phone number… You have to create a chat and send a message if you have a problem or need help. It says they reply in a day but it takes them days and days to reply to one question even if you had multiple issues. They’re the same with the businesses too. The support is useless. Since they take days to respond if you had a pay issue or work issue it won’t get fixed in time for maybe your check or your next gig. They need to set up a customer support number because the whole chat thing is ridiculous especially since they don’t respond and are very useless. I looked up the headquarters and I’m pretty sure it’s just a bunch of randoms in India who barely even know how to solve your problems with the app. It’s very annoying and frustrating I sent them two emails. It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve sent a chat looking for help cause I’m missing a payment and STILL no reply. If you want a real gig app download people ready. They actually have an office you can call with Americans you can talk to, that know what’s going on and can offer real help for your problems. This app is a joke.

Great 👍🏽 work app. I would highly recommend this app.

Great way to find work!. Looking to pick up extra shifts for extra money while working full time Job, this app offers everything I am looking for! Have already recommended to multiple ppl 😊

Great App for jobs.. Very useful app for gigs.

Really good app. This app is really good helped lot of students to get work. This made the life very easy. Thanks Instawork for you support 👍

Great place to work. Instawork gives you lots of opportunities to expand your experience in different areas of work!

Very good app. Good app

This app doesn’t work.. I completed 3 weeks waiting for a shift or “gig” as you call it, but this just made me waste my time. Also waited for 3 weeks for an approval of a role, and even after I filled all the required info. The approval was rejected. What a waste of time. I don’t recommend it.

Good App. Needs a way to book time off. Should not see shifts during this time so as to avoid accidentally booking shifts I can’t work.

Applications don’t get approved - Not a single job received. Do not waste your time with this app. They do not firstly have a list of jobs you can apply for in advance. They send random notifications to people for jobs. I unfortunately haven’t received any. Moreover, my applications for different positions have been pending for review for more than 8 months. They say it would be reviewed in 72 hours. Maybe they work in a different dimension with different concept of time because 72 hours= 3 days. 8 months= 5904hrs. I downloaded this app when I started my diploma and now I’m a graduate with no updates from them

Very interesting. I find Instawork platform very interesting, constantly motivating people to do their best while rewarding their effort is commendable. Love the fact that I can work a job I want at the time I want. I love love Instawork.

Best app. My friend told me about this app and it is the one of best way to start earning ,we can get every type of work just as our requirement!

App Usage and availability of jobs. The App is easy to use and Navigate, you immediately get shifts immediately you complete the registration process.

Tuition payments. Gigs on Instawork came through for me as I was able to pay up my tuition, as an international student in Canada. It’s a sure plug to financial breakthroughs. I recommend over and over again.

Great opportunity!. Instawork is a great opportunity for workers to find work in their area. Very convenient and easy to use.

It really helps!! Works so well !! Nice app!!. Great app!!

Review. Very nice application for job search

Instawork ROBS your wage. Don’t trust these guys, we were total 35 members who worked on September 9th,2022 to September 11th, 2022 for Rolling Loud gig and were still not paid our TIPS money till date(November 8,2022). The money is not less for each person, it’s about $1000 - $1500 each person should be getting. How many times we contact the support team through chat because they don’t have any phone number to contact, the person who ever replies to our enquiry says the are still processing and will take couple of weeks. It’s the same answer from past two months, one of the support person already declared that we got your TIPS information from the client and your money should be paid by next week, but it was never paid. There after when ever we reach out to support and ask about the money they just keep saying we are working on it, you should get paid in few days but that few days never come, more over they just say the same answer every time and just close the chat so that we cannot ask them anymore. The same things happens everytime you reach out ti support, they tell you same answer and close the chat thinking that we will get fed up asking for the wage we need to get paid and we will leave it one day. INSTAWORK IS A WAGE INVADER, THEY ROB YOUR MONEY. BE-AWARE!!

Great app. I love using Instawork

Would recommend!. Super easy and accurate. Tons on trust. Very excited!

Easy to use app. Easy to pick up shifts

Instawork: The Perfect Part-Time Companion for Postgrads. Instawork is a lifesaver for postgrads! Flexible, user-friendly, fair pay, and trustworthy reviews. A top pick for part-time work!

Best app. Very easy and best app for getting jobs

Great work opportunities very flexible. Instawork has amazing opportunities. Very flexible schedules

Very low pay!!. These guys are stealing your money, I applied for the employers myself and they pay 5 to 10 dollars more the hour than what you get here, the difference is HUGE! ; plus, you barely get shifts if you don’t pick up often and most of them are not even related to what you ask for. I’m not interested in people wanting to take advantage of me 🤷‍♀️

Great App!. I would totally recommend this app. Best app for picking up shifts!

Changing the game. This is such a great app! There’s endless opportunity on here, I really am impressed.

Trash service. The app purpose is really good but is full of bugs and I’m trying to reach out to the team for days and they don’t even reply my messages or when they do I feel like talking to a bot. Frustrated.

Amazing app. It’s an inclusive app that helps newcomers get gigs. I love it so much

Instawork is the way to go. I have just joined Instawork and I love it..Instawork is flexible and reliable and fast.. and it is definitely worth the hype you will love it..

Excellent. I did a shift one time and I met really amazing people. Easy to do also. Thank you

Perfect job finder. Superb and exciting jobs

User friendly. Registration and account creation was easy. There are some good opportunities there and I am looking forward to booking as many shifts as possible

Great App, Highly Recommend…... I recently started using Instawork and I couldn’t be more impressed with its functionality and user-friendly interface. The app has made a significant impact on finding instant jobs and providing valuable insights of the Local job market …The developers have clearly put a great deal of thought and effort into creating a top-notch app that caters to its users’ needs. I highly recommend Instawork for anyone looking to find instant work from wherever they want to !!!Highly recommend …..

Effortlessly easy to use. I love instawork so much because of how easy the app was designed, I mean you can navigate it without any hassle. Good job!

Legit. You can be your own boss.

I love Instawork. I love Instawork and it is a great app!

Terrible. This app sucks- tried to set up a call as instructed. Waited 2 hours after my call time to get a call and the person hung up within 30 seconds and I got a text saying to reschedule. Super disappointed

Really great app.. Really great app. Easy to navigate and find jobs.

App is user friendly. The app is user-friendly.

Great experience. It was my first shift as a buffet attendent . The coaches and supervisors are very helpful and polite .Everything was well maintained. Thank you so much for giving me an opportunity to work with you😊.

Great app!. Instawork is one of the best things I have discovered. As someone who loves to have days off whenever, I believe Instawork gives me that flexibility without feeling guilty. At times I want to work for days on, but at times I just want to relax and rest. I also like how some rates are great! One downside is that whenever the business cancels, we should be allowed to get at least an hr pay out of that because IF WE cancel, even before the 24 hrs mark, we still get deducted and we lose the Gold status. Also, at times better gigs may come up but since we are booked then we can’t do much. So, now if the gig we thought we had cancels and we don’t accept the new better gig because we thought we were booked then this then is the problem because we just missed two opportunities.

This app is brilliant, innovative, and a game changer for the work revolution.. ***EASY TO NAVIGATE*** ***QUICK ACCEPTANCE** ***INFORMATIONAL** ***FAIR*** ***CONVIENENT*** 6⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️stars What is keeping people from harnessing their full potential, talent, motivation & thriving in the workplace? Being under-paid, Being over-worked, Same repetitive schedule, Long inconvenient hours, Exhaution! This app gives you the freedom to choose your own schedule. Many people today just dont seem to want to go to work. People complain about being over worked, under paid, lack of variety, being tied down to a schedule created by someone other then yourself. I believe this app will Jump in numbers over the next couple of years, and I believe that this app will bring employment rates up majorly all across the world. It will help save business and help prevent staff shortages that weve seen so much of in the recent years. I believe this app will bring great success to the modern work culture. YOU GET TO MAKE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE. YOU GET TO CHOOSE THE DAYS YOU WORK, THE PLACES YOU WORK, AND THE TIMES/SHIFTS YOU WORK. MANY PEOPLE WILL ENTER THE JOB MARKET WITH THE PEACE AND FREEDOM THIS APP BRINGS. HAVING TO GO TO WORK ON A DAY YOU DONT FEEL LIKE WORKING BECAUSE YOU WILL GET FIRED IF YOU DONT MAKES WORK FEEL TENSE AN OVERWHELMING. ISNT THIS APP WHAT EVERY PERSON DREAMS OF WHEN IT COMES TO THIER SCHEDULE AND EMPLOYEMENT?

Instawork review. I love Instawork I really do everything for the most part, there are an issue or two that I feel need changed but it’s simple work and get paid basically when you want and work when you want. There issues are the help line takes long to answer back I waited 12 hours to hear hardly any information as well so I was upset about that and when someone cancels for a serious emergency they really can’t do anything about and I’m talking about a major emergency so really make sure you don’t need to cancel cause they won’t allow it which I feel should be an option but to a max of like 1or 2 so people don’t over do it with cancellations but sometimes people really can’t avoid major emergencies but overall it’s legit

1000% Fraud!!. I thought I would give this app a shot and ya know what I have screen shots of everything I’m stating here. My profile is still pending to be approved and it’s been weeks. I emailed customer service 6 times and they never try to look into the issue. They just state the obvious but no help at all. My friend who downloaded the app to same thing happened to her her profile been pending for weeks with no approval. My brother said his got approved but there’s no gigs they will say you have to change your job preferences. You can’t reach customer service and if you do they are no help at all. There’s no phone number to call them, save your self the push of this download because if you want to find work don’t download this app you won’t have any work. Period. All these 4 star reviews I have no clue how they got there must of paid a few ppl to write them because there’s no way this app is fraudulent. Stop allowing ppl to download this app with the hopes of finding work because it’s not true at all! I’d give this app -10 stars if I could.

Great for extra cash, but strict!. I’ve used a few different gig apps and have found that Instawork offers the most opportunities in my area - that being said, I only book shifts ~a week or less in advance in order to make sure my schedule fits with the strict worker requirements. A cancellation after 5 mins of booking will negatively effect your profile/the amount of gigs you see. Also, part of the rewards system is based upon the reviews a company gives, and giving a review in the first place is up to their discretion. I would recommend similarly incentivizing employers to rate their workers in the ways that workers are incentivized to show up for every shift/get good ratings. I feel like there are a couple buggy technical issues (eg being >1 mile from the clock out location and unable to clock out still) but overall I’m grateful for the extra work I’ve been able to do!

Solid platform, minimal shifts. Instawork is a solid platform to grab small gigs like bartending a wedding, working retail, working in a warehouse, etc. The pay is decent per hour as well, or so it seems to be. I say this because I’ve been a member of the platform for well over 2 years and have yet to snag a job to work. I log in every other day or so to check for open shifts near me in an industry I have experience in, and there is never anything available. When there is something available, the shift is 125 miles away. Hopefully more employers will utilize Instawork’s platform to seek out IC workers for their business, either that, or they hired way to many IC’s and the workers who have made a name for themselves with the platform seem to be eligible for shifts first before those of us who are not as experienced on the platform. We can’t get experience though if there are no shifts to take!

Great App but…. I literally have no issue with the app what so ever, could probably do better on the tracking but other than that I think instawork should have some more power over what the companies do.. I had an experience where I was working at PNC park and I was scheduled till 12:15 and the manager there Named Nicole R. Had asked me to stay past my scheduled time, I told her that my time was almost up and my ride was on his way but then she had flipped out on me and told me to never schedule any event server shifts at PNC park again then completely blocked me from not only PNC park but Acrisure Stadium and Stage AE as well because SHE was mad that I couldn’t stay past my scheduled time.. I don’t understand where I’m wrong on ANY part of this but I’ve been trying to contact multiple people about this issue and haven’t had any luck.. let alone I picked this up to make extra money why would I try and mess it up?

Very Good. My overall experience with instawork has been very good. This app is a great way to find work per diem and has some amazing features. I haven’t had any issues with receiving payments for my shift or anything of that nature and any issues that I did have were pretty much resolved easily in a timely manner. My only criticismwould be in regards to disqualification from top pro rewards for an entire month for early cancellations (cancellations made more than 24hrs in advance). Life happens and sometimes emergencies occur, and a 30 day suspension seems unfair. Ultimately, as I stated earlier, my overall experience with instawork has been very good and I would absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for daily shifts or even a possibly of finding full time employment if the opportunity presents itself. 4.5 Stars from me!

The worst working app for anyone serious.. If you are an actual worker with experience on this app they treat you as if you are on the same level as a beginner. There’s no support for the apps issues, so your forced to deal with them calling you for your coach calls at the wrong times so you’d have to wait a week to reschedule. You can’t even bring up the fact that they called you at the incorrect time nor do actually get anyone to help you. So if you have a problem that isn’t your fault on the app, they just seem to brush it under the rug and give you the he run around as to why they can’t help you. It’s embarrassing cause if I’m gonna be getting gigs on this app I expect professionalism and to actually do their job when it’s scheduled. I got my coach call today at 8AM when I had scheduled it for 2:30PM and still haven’t gotten a response for the issue and was forced to reschedule it a week in advance when I don’t need this app after cause I’m gonna be working. IF YOU ARE OUT OF WORK DO NOT TRUST THIS APP TO HELP YOU.

This app leaves futures employees with little respect. First of all I must say overall I love this app. Most of he jobs I've had have been met through this app. But the etiquette of the employers needs to turned up a notch. Someone also needs to hold employers accountable for filling out the job listing as much as possible. An example would be where I see a job for an AM SOUS CHEF and when you do the interview it's the complete opposite, wether intentional or not it's frustrating; also what's the point of having a section for employers to put required times if they won't even fill that out. There seem to be a stipulation that by leaving out the important details ( starting/ending times, shifts per week, and commute). They will attract more prospects. And there have been times where I go to an interview and wait around for 1 hour + dressed resume in hand only to be told they will have to reschedule because their busy. I take time out of my day to be prompt and ready and they'll just bat you away for whatever reason. Absolutely disrespectful. There needs to be mutual respect on both sides and there clearly isn't.

Smh THEY DONT CARE NEVER WILL !!! Slave workers. U can leave emails emails emails . An still have no support or concerns or replies back to help you. No line of communication or phone calls. Instawork is more beneficial for Instawork business and themselves. Not the professional, I also lost out on shifts and payments from businesses who cancel on me . I still work for Instawork because they do have certain perks I like . But begin professional an communicative isn’t there best criteria. Period!!! They took my account and suspended because their system is fraud and they have no way of fixing it or resolving the issue. They tell u to appeal for your account to get back restored, but why should I have to do so many things to keep my account active when I never done anything wrong to get it suspended. All they have to do is sit back and copy and paste they same answers they tell every professional. It’s sad very sad. Then the developer will reply with whatever answers. I understand suspension but ban for life !!!!!!

customer support really needs to change.. I really love the variety of the jobs on instawork. However, i do suggest for the app is to have better communication with their workers. They have totally ignored me when i told them that me and bf never got our referral bonus and they have basically beat around the bush about $50 measly dollars. Otherwise the actual job sites have been pretty nice and fun to work. Another thing is that Instawork will take away your “pro” status if you cancel, no matter the reason. My friend cancelled a job because he was diagnosed with strep throat which is highly contagious, so he found it wise to cancel his shift. They took his “pro” status away and wont even take a dr’s note which he has in order to waive the “suspension”. Instawork I guess wants their workers to go to work sick, no matter what… hmmm that’s concerning, especially if the person is having “COVID” symptoms or even anything highly contagious….

Is this a joke.. I have read many of the reviews and decided to give it a shot just in case everything went well, I had nothing to lose. I quickly found out what others are taking about when stating that the app is very buggy and that support really shouldn’t be labeled as support, but rather, hurry up and wait. Besides having no clear support phone number or even live support, the member who did finally respond days later simply gave me a link to use the app. With such great sounding job opportunities and high pay, Instawork has become a frustrating tease offering great paying potential job elusively always just out of my reach since I can ever book a gig due to bug issues prevent my successful completion of a background check and account info updates. No one gives me any help or seems to care there at instawork. So I just have to assume it’s fake for now and a big joke on me for trying. Thanks for wasting my time and getting my hopes up.

Best app to make extra money. Insta Work is truly an incredible app for anyone looking to make some extra money. From my experience, it has been a game-changer. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to navigate and find job opportunities that match your skills and availability. What sets Insta Work apart is the variety of gigs available, ranging from part-time jobs to freelance work, making it suitable for all types of users. The app's job matching algorithm is remarkably efficient, connecting you with relevant opportunities quickly. One of the standout features is the flexibility it offers. You can choose when and where you want to work, which is perfect for individuals with busy schedules or those seeking a side hustle. Plus, the payment process is seamless, ensuring you get compensated fairly and promptly for your efforts. Safety and security are top priorities on Insta Work, with thorough background checks and reviews for both job seekers and employers. This instills confidence and trust in the platform. Overall, Insta Work has made earning extra money convenient, enjoyable, and secure. It's a must-have app for anyone looking to boost their income while maintaining flexibility in their work life. I can't recommend it enough!

Solid app for freelance/gig work. Overall, I've had a positive experience working various jobs through the Instawork app for the past two years. While I've gained valuable experience in different fields, I deducted one star due to a contradictory policy. In the past, if I had to cancel a shift last minute due to a legitimate reason, such as a medical emergency or car breakdown, Instawork would cancel all my future shifts but stated that they still expected me to fulfill the ones I had already booked. However, I hope they have since addressed this issue. As the app has gained popularity and more workers have joined, it's become necessary to book gigs quickly. Unfortunately, I once booked a shift without realizing it started in just 30 minutes, making it impossible for me to attend. As a result, I was suspended from the app for a month, which I believe is unfair since shifts shouldn't be posted with such short notice.

Great reliable way to get work instantly and paid right after your shift!. Ever since I started to use Instawork in the past year, it’s been very helpful to me whenever I need extra income or even if I don’t have work at the moment for my second job. I really like how many different types of jobs are available to me and how I’m not always working at the same place. And I’d simply don’t want to work for the next few days I don’t have to book any gig I don’t want to which gives me time to take care of my other responsibilities and get good rest in between my days. I would definitely recommend this app to someone who just wants to get to work ASAP! My friends and colleagues now themselves use Instawork regularly and I’m sure many people like us could too 👍

Didn’t get approved for any type of job. Fake reviews. It’s just insane to me how I didn’t get approved for any of the job categories. I have a Bachelors degree in Biology, I work in a laboratory, I’ve had multiple years of experience with working in retail and in food service as well. I’ve worked in hospitals, hotels, etc. I just wanted a few part time gigs to do while I have some time in the afternoon and possibly meet some new people around CA and now I can’t because I wasn’t approved for anything. As if I’m some incompetent person who can’t do a job as simple as running a cash register or taking someone’s order or washing some dishes. They give you a less than 15 minute “interview” with someone CLEARLY reading off a script and make you answer bogus questions. One question wrong and you don’t qualify. I find it absolutely ridiculous how these are supposed to be “gigs” and it claims that you can “learn different skills”. How is anyone supposed to learn these skills if they can’t get placed anywhere? Horrible app and horrible customer service. Those 5 star reviews have to be fake. Stop false advertising.

Good concept, horrible execution. I signed up because I thought that this app would allow for me to make some extra money quickly like it advertises—it doesn’t. There is a certain number of jobs that you have to work in order to get instant pay and receive your money quickly and there also is not a large number of jobs available. To make a decent amount of money, you need to work a ton of jobs, which are already hard to get because you either have to apply for the different types and wait to see if you are approved or other workers get the slots before you can apply for them. Some even require that you submit recommends from previous employers. Accepting a job is a headache because the process is so long. By the time you get through the process of accepting a shift, the shift is already gone because you have to click through a list of questions and answer them, the process takes entirely too long. Trying to work on this app is a headache because work is almost always unavailable and the work that is available is not really worth the hours or gas.

Don’t get sick. I enjoyed this application until I got COVID. This application gives you the ability to cancel a shift ahead of time which I did and had no issues. Then went to work on 27 May got Covid probably at the arena that I was working at, submitted my test results and was not able to work the following two days I have now lost the ability to work about two weeks going back-and-forth trying to get my Covid related missed shift taken care of because the app will suspend you and not allow you to inform on other shifts that you are suspended so then you end up with another no-show in another suspension and when you try to reach out you’ll spend days going back-and-forth emailing trying to explain the situation in which again you end up missing more days. I love this application until I got sick you’re probably better off with DoorDash!

Terrible support team. I went on my first job and the app was having issues and wouldn’t let me clock in so I let the team now one of the Instaworkers on the app let me know how to somewhat fix the problem but nothing worked so I worked my gig and adjust the hrs showing I was there even with the gps tracking location the app have shows I was there the next day my actions was disabled and all my other gigs canceled I reached out to the Instawork support team and jayanth the one who says he looked into my situation I sent him all the conversations between me and the Instaworker and the event manager I even sent him the gps location showing I was at the gig and working even with all the evidence showing I was at the gig working and it was not a no show jayanth just say he looked into it and it was a no show Instawork can you get someone who will actually look into my situation and fix it and not someone who just not going to look into the situation and say it’s a no show when clearly I proved in multiple ways I did not do a no show and the app wouldn’t let me clock in when I arrived on site to start the gig.

Love Love Love. Instawork is honestly life savor. I really need some extra cash to pay for these certifications so I could get a salary job and I was able to do just that. I'm also saving up to pay for festivals and even pay off credit cards. Such a great app. And I really love the other Insta-workers on here too. All so helpful and down to earth. At least here in Chicago :) Also the flexibility is amazing. I only pick shifts that I want to work and if anything comes up I can ask someone in my network to take my shift no problem. The only thing I wish they had was more job availability in the city. And also the ability to swap shifts with people who are working the same day but a different time. Things will get better over time but so far I really love the app. Been telling all of my friends about it.

Read the Critical Reviews: Rude, Discriminatory & Condescending Coach. Deleted this app as soon as I got off the call with an unprofessional coach. I have worked with established companies like Robert Half. I decided to try this out knowing I’m overqualified, only to deal with a very rude and condescending male coach who was bashing, being sassy, rude, interrupting without letting me finish, acting annoyed, being condescending among other things. I have worked for a staffing agency where I have done similar intake interviews and no matter how bad of a day I’m having I would never talk to someone like this or act this way. Also very discriminatory, once I told him that some of the jobs I did where in French so they have different terms, then he goes on to respond aggressively and sarcastically to my response “that’s not even what I was talking about but ok”. Lol really? How many languages do you speak? Definitely check out other companies like Robert Half and People Ready. They will treat you so much better and do not discriminate. Robert Half is also much much more professional.

Communication/More jobs. I personally feel like the app is good for those who are starting over or need extra income however, it gets hard and you basically should just go work for McDonald’s or a temp service because they barely have jobs on here for you and they are very strict on what you should wear, and how you should look is very discriminatory almost long as we come with good hygiene, the all black hair done and put up I feel like that should be the bare minimum of of what we should look for all the other stuff is extra Covid test and all that other stuff is bonkers!! Have the time when you go to the assignment the companies don’t even care what you’re wearing half the time that’s the majority of the time, so I just feel like they should be a more lenient on the app and far as options to get jobs, there’s not a lot of options on how to get jobs is really slim to none so it’s slim Pickens on here.

1 star not low enough. Nothing less than a facilitator of workers rights infractions and workplace abuse. Businesses are allowed to treat employees however they want without any recourse of compensation to the workers. From my brief experiences using the app have experience work places that don’t allow restroom breaks, businesses using illegal practices in breaks allotted during work shifts, businesses cancelling shifts after the 24 hour period and not being reimbursed the promised “half of hours pay”, required by businesses to work near hazardous conditions/equipment including industrial cooking devices with regular temperatures over 500 degrees with wet/slipper floors, near industrial machinery that can cause serious injury and/or death. Complain about any of these working conditions to the employer and the employer will get angry at you and verbally abuse you or send you home. Complain about it to Instawork and they will offer to remove the availability to work at the workplaces, no actual solutions to the problems they are facilitating.

If I could 1 star I would. I’ve been with them for a few weeks now. I missed one of my shifts because I had a car accident. I had my police report & med records. My acct was suspended. I reached out to my supervisor about it and he never got back to me, fine. I tried to appeal because that’s a option if you have documentation and it was denied, fine. I received an email stating that if I have shifts that I already signed up for that I have to work them even during my suspension, i did. Worked in the rain all night for the entire week. Bad working conditions but I needed to work. Signed in & out on the sheet that the supervisor provided, he though he didn’t help and sat on his phone the entire time and smoked, AND I DIDN’T GET PAID AT ALL. I appealed the hours & it was denied! You send me a email stating that I have to work during my suspension or I will not be eligible to work with the company and when I do I don’t get paid. Life is hard as it is and this is just ridiculous. I don’t work for fun, I work to provide for my family. Temp companies get such a bad name and i guess this one is no different.

Jobs fill too fast. When jobs are available, Instawork is great, but lately it is almost impossible to pick up shifts. For example: I will receive a notification of an available job and will try to pick it up immediately. The app makes you confirm several things (ie. uniform requirements, grooming requirements, etc.), which is understandable, but by the time you click all the buttons the “shift is full” and there are no available shifts left. Those that are “platinum” or “gold” should be able to accept jobs without going through the hurdles. I have a 5 star rating because I always make sure I have the correct uniform and other requirements the night before my shift, since I am a true professional. The other thing I have noticed is the job qualification process is easy to fool, as you have to take a quiz (like bartending quizzes ask what is in an old fashioned, what glassware is used for a mojito, etc.) which is great, but should still be followed up with a coaching call to verify, as most of the bartenders I’ve worked with don’t know how to make any true mixed drinks. I have 25 years in the service industry and have worked in every front of the house position, including bar manager for a very busy bar in New York City. Improve the vetting process and reward those that actually work.

Think this app is great 👍🏼. I keep seeing people on here crying about this app leaving negative comments as if they’re paying a subscription fee or something. Those are the people that are always late, calling off work, and looking for handouts. You can’t expect to find a career that’s close to you with a high pay rate just like that specially from an app. Be realistic that takes time you put into a company to get recognized in order to climb that ladder. Instawork is perfect for getting back out there after not working for a while, you get the chance to try out different companies and ask yourself “Would you like to see yourself working here 5 years from now?”. It is up to you to decide what you will do with that opportunity.

Instawork. Instawork is a great app when you need extra money, change of scenery or meet new people. Onboarding is simple process and you can choose if you want to pick up a shift that’s available last minute or a month out. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for the fact that sometimes the shifts are booked up so quickly, you kind of have to be available to be flexible to work. If you take extra time to look up your schedule and it’s a good opportunity it won’t last more than a few minutes. Few tips, don’t lie about exp. Or uniform, don’t be late, don’t not show, don’t double up on jobs the same day, don’t expect the exact hours posted and don’t cancel within 1 hour of work. Otherwise great app…oh and eat before work, bring water, comfy shoes and a willingness to make a positive contribution.

My experience. This far Instawork in my personal opinion is a genius company and the app is also designed user friendly for our not so tech savvy individuals like myself. It has various opportunities depending on what it is you are looking for. U can travel and work or if you are looking for something permanent they have those avenues you are able to explore as well. It’s also a give give type of company if you are a good worker they reward you for your achievements as well ex: becoming a gold member makes it to where you can get paid hours after each gig worked. I can go on and on about the numerous opportunities that they offer but I will leave it here that I would highly recommend this to everybody whether you have a full time career or not you can always use the extra money to help. I am new to Instawork but I am excited about my experience this far and can’t wait to see what is to come for me.

I love this app !. My brother had recommended this app to me for a while and I really regret not taking his advice when he first told me. It’s just great he had been recommended it and I had the app for a long time but never finished completing my profile and geez I regret it. You can apply to many jobs, accept gigs.!And fill up your schedule weeks ahead and the pay is as afford no more or less maybe more but never less. Of course you start low as many other life processes city minimum $16-25/hr than work your way up $26-45 and can even get lucky or if you’re clever to get up early and be paying attention to your notifications there are last minute looking for gigs meaning the place really needs workers so the pay is high $45-75/hr imagine multiplying that by 8= 3X week I mean it doesn’t get better than that

Good app but minor issues that cud be fixed. This app is basically based off you mainly if your a good worker and u do what u gotta do and follow instructions/rules you won’t have a problem it’s a hustling app there are many great opportunities on this app you also get rewarded when u continue to be a great worker However there are things that can be fixed to make everything smoother for all of us live for example the tracker. Some locations there’s no service and it says they cannot track us which is not our fault and sometimes the location tracker don’t even pick you up while you’re there and makes u clock in late and we cannot change our clock in time plus phones die so I think that shud be something y’all fix if the job pays attention to the workers there then they would know if anyone leaves the job earlier than they shud

Gigs are not accurately posted. I’ve literally had nothing but a bad experience since first starving on Insta work the company that I selected my first gig with is completely unprofessional but ours did not match the gig or the request of business hours causing my account to be subjected to lower ratings then those that are give him more professional gigs. I feel The company has no understanding of HAL their performance affects our ability to receive future gigs. You guys should have a more active response team when it comes to issues like this because once again it is not fair to those who have taken the time to create an account with instawork. Hopefully someone who needs to read this sees this and completely avoid this app have a great day.!!!

What kind of company is this?. I originally signed up in 2018 when they were called ‘Instagig’. I went through the entire process, got hired on and at the time the only job they had abatible in Dallas, TX were cleaning up the scooters people could rent in downtown back then. I moved to Phoenix, kept the app, but could not ever receive work. When I DID land a gig, the lady at the warehouse was racist and didn’t like the instagig workers. There was no help at all from instagig. This forced me to abandon the app. A few days ago I received an email from ‘Instawork’ which prompted me to explore the app all over again. Well, unfortunately the number I signed up with I no longer have, nor do I remember it. I emailed support only to continually be met with “can you provide us with the number used to sin up?” What part of, I do not have that number nor remember it do they not understand? Idk but beyond the fact that they provided me with the wrong support email, from their website, and that they can’t locate my account via email, it’s forced this review. This is such a terrible company.

Excellent concept. It's been an overall great experience working with Instawork. I've been able to work at many different companies! The pay has been great! You can work when and where you want!! My only complaint would be, your pay and access is determined by a rating system that you are not able to see. I got knocked down recently, and it's cost me a lot of $, and I know how hard I've worked. It's not fun putting so much effort into your work, and then being told you are not a good worker. The rating system needs plenty of changes in my opinion, and I've had employers that wish to give me good rating, unable to rate me as it only allows ratings on some shifts. Considering pay is so closely tied to this mysterious system, it would be much better if it was either A) a whole new system. B) transparent, so you could have faith that it's accurate, and that you knew what to improve if bad reviews occur

Unethical App. I have been using Instawork since it first launched in Chicago. In my opinion this app is exploitive and misleading on many fronts. Not to mention they are collecting tons of data on every person on here. I have had several different occasions where I was made to feel uncomfortable or taken advantage of while on a gig. Some of the people you work with are aggressive or have no professionalism whatsoever (I have witness multiple scenario’s where an instawork Employee I was working with turned volatile and started cussing someone out or drinking alcohol even on site... This company seems to only care about volume and using the workers to gain more laborers to exploit… When you commit to an eight hour shift for instance—I’ve been sent home two hours early multiple times for doing a great job to quickly: again they do not value your time. I have a 4.98 rating and great work ethic. I’ve always gone above and beyond—for nothing… It’s a shame this app has left me feeling so uneasy about this company…

Instawork is revolutionizing employment. I cannot fully booked express in words how truly amazing it is to earn top pay with complete freedom and flexibility and have a great time doing it. Being able to choose what types of jobs I would enjoy most and sometimes even booking them just hours before… I can plan my work around my life and not vice versa. I average around 19 an hour and that doesn’t include my tips. The app is really easy to use. It keeps track of my upcoming shifts and even adds it to my calendar on my phone. It informs me immediately when I will get paid and most of my shifts are deposited into my account instantly after my shift. I love that it also keeps track of all my earning and gives me access to my w-2s as well. I couldn’t be happier with this company and would recommend it to anyone. :)

Best app ever. To be honest this is 100% of my experiences with Instawork. I don’t know what I would’ve done without Instawork it helps me alot not only financially but it gives me a flexible schedule… I really do enjoy working for Instawork and planning to work on for them, I wish I knew about Instawork years ago cause this is what I been missing my whole life, Instawork allow me to make my own schedule which I love, been a single mom and trying to work was so hard for me till I found out about Instawork, and look at me now work 6 days a week without worrying about who gonna watch my child because me and my mom can both work and yet we have our own schedule so one of us can watch my daughter when the other is going to work Instawork makes my life so easy for me and I really appreciate that. I’m so proud of myself for working with Instawork thank you once again. Sincerely Najma

InstaWork Gave Me A Life Jacket. Honestly I don’t think people know exactly how Amazing/Useful InstaWork is. I’ve been in between jobs , trying my best to find one has been hard because I haven’t been getting many calls back and it’s been frustrating due to me having to still pay bills/rent but I hoped on InstaWork and it gave me a chance to not only keep up with my bills but to actually have money on the side to fulfill other necessities! I’m happy to work for InstaWork even though I will be done with it once I find a job but InstaWork allows you to find a Job through them as well because you don’t have to commit a whole year or anything just a Day ! If you do not like the job you’re at you can book a shift with another one. The flexibility and the change of scenery is so worth it.

Great experience. enjoy working at Instawork. It offers flexibility and freedom to choose the locations and times you want to work. I love the variety of venues that are offered. Based on your skill level, you’re able to choose jobs that make a great fit for you. I love the high energy and professionalism of everyone I’ve worked with. It’s a fun place to work and there are many pros! My only complaint is that there are not enough gigs offered in the app. Most of them are out of state, which are way too far to travel, even after I’ve limited the distance that I’ll travel. I want to work more but get tired of refreshing the app, only to see gigs that are completely out of my range (two and three states away!). Maybe it’s because I’m a new employee and haven’t worked enough to get more local offers. Other than that, I highly recommend working at Instawork.

Quick Feedback. I really like the Instawork app a lot. There’s often always a few gigs available throughout the week, but the app lacks variety in companies to work for e.g. Patina, Wolfgang Puck, Kitchen of Exploring Foods... The “profile setup” process was not as seamless as it suggests. I experienced many hiccups along the way like certification upload errors, quiz retaking, & reference requirements/verification to name a few. It took me roughly 2 weeks to be approved to book gigs. After approval, I received multiple emails stating my profile wasn’t complete. The Instawork staff that help with questions within the app do respond very fast, huge plus on that! I know that Instawork’s sole purpose is to provide people with an instant means to find work. However, the amount of notifications I receive in an hour, day, a week is sometimes overwhelming(especially if it’s for the same company.) Also, I wish the app DEFINED(in another color, or bolder text) the dates that set them apart from the gigs listed beneath.

Worst app worst experience worse customer service. I used to love Instawork. I would work a few gigs a month and really enjoyed it. Then I started having random issues where I couldn’t book shifts for weeks. The customer service experience is awful. Just awful. They will respond with some generic response about how to use their app and then say “I will now be closing your ticket” so you have to make another ticket just to beg for help and to not get a generic response. I finally got someone’s attention but she continued to talk about how I should have contacted the help desk or used the articles. I had already lost hours of my life messaging the help desk. The issue took about 2 seconds to resolve (there was a mistaken hold placed on some of my shifts). I told her no one helped me and she still said I should have used the articles? Like what? Your app is not working properly. Overall it was an awful experience. Also gig availability and pay are both trending downward. I wouldn’t recommend Instawork to anyone.

Scam. Missing hours/pay and no accountability for Team Leads.. I had this app for about 2 months with no luck of booking a shift, you have to be approved for each category of work and provide several references. Finally after giving up, I got notified of some shifts that were available last minute yet when I looked, everything was over an hour away. I had to wait about another 2 weeks for a local shift to pop up. Next is probably the most frustrating part, my Team Lead on my third shift asked me to stay and help - working over time as it was past my 8 hours. And guess who didn’t get paid. I clocked in & out on the app, signed in & out on the managers attendance sheet, was on location the entire shift. Yet because I didn’t physically take a picture of the Team Leads clock in/out sheet, I was told I had no proof that my overtime was approved by my Team Lead. They also reminded me that I have a certain amount of time to dispute my shift if something is wrong on the app, which I believe is around a day. But how could I dispute something that was changed a over a week after my shift.

Dont work for Axehire. The app is okay but will give you steep penalties if you have medical conditions even if you get doctors notes. They care more about the businesses than the employees, I have had businesses tell me to clock out and cancel my shift after the start time even though they should’ve told me to leave. Zoe and Johnny it axle hire will ruin your score if you have any sort of disability, you will be told to leave and that they don’t want your kind here. Instawork its self it’s OK other than the fact that I can’t get any jobs now since I had a seizure and got banned for a week because it was a cancel within 24 hours. I was hoping this app could help me pay the bills, if you aren’t disabled should work fine if you are probably won’t

I usually don’t write reviews... For me to come out my comfort zone to write this show how bad of an app this is…first off it’s take half a year to start receiving shifts in my area due to high volumes of new members, even though I had a resume, all the quizzes filled out, 2 recommendations, and had all my other personal information filled out. After finally being approved, I was asked to perform my first gig at a concert. The work wasn’t too bad for the pay I would’ve done it again, but for some apparent recently they blocked me from the gig and couldn’t tell me why! I followed all the instructions giving to me and they still ended messing up my time sheet. And to make all matters worse. It took a month to receive a days worth a pay because they messed up on their end about my banking info, so instead of working with me to fix it (after waiting for them to notice their mistake from 2 weeks ago) they are mailing me a check that will take 2 more weeks to get to me. Stay far from this app, I personally would recommend Craigslist over this junk

Would be awesome. So the gigs that I work the employers will try to cheapskate you in anyway possible. They won’t give you lunch on 12 hour shifts and only one 30 min break, but once you clock out they always double my break time even tho I didn’t take that long. Which is well known because Insta work tracks your location but that doesn’t stop them from saying my break was one hour or two hours which means I don’t get the full pay. The app is great for people that are looking for workers and not the other way around. I’ve shown up to multiple gig and most of them won’t even let me clock in until I’m late because they feel as if I am rushing them. It’s quite interesting because my boyfriend works the same jobs as me but always gets treated better and even gets tips. The only difference is that I’m black and he has fair skin. So if you are not comfortable dealing with inequality every time you try to work then this isn’t the app for you.

Great for finding well-paying, quality jobs. Quick.. Instawork is a great app for getting quality local jobs, quickly. The app is relatively intuitive and setup and approvals are pretty quick. User to employer communication and messaging, could be improved. Cancellation policy is strict (although necessary), but some legitimate cancellations (those resulting from emergencies or illness) should be distinguishable from less excusable cancellations. A more robust reliability system could benefit users and provide more accurate reliability data. I had to miss 2 of my 1st 4 shifts due to serious emergency or health issues, and it would be helpful if I could lessen my penalties with legitimate information regarding my need to cancel these shifts (doctors notes, police/accident reports, etc.). Overall, a great app that I am excited to utilize and grow with!

Great way to make funds connections and try new things. So I haven’t worked since my brain injury and related brain surgery and two joint replacements… so I was very nervous and unsure if Instawork would be a good match for me in my new /current physical situation… I don’t think that I would’ve normally chosen a dishwasher position before my injury and illness … but the simplicity of the position appealed to me… plus I wanted to just see if I could do it and how I felt during and after … after putting my pre-shift anxiety to rest … and adjusting to my role… I found that I enjoyed both the work and the way it made me feel… I like that I am able to pick jobs that I feel like I can do well at and work shifts with the correct length and duties that match my physical limits … alll with no obligation to return if I don’t want to…

The Stress is Not Worth the Pay. If I could give NEGATIVE FIVE STARS, I definitely would. In conclusion, don’t use this app. They don’t care that you’re sick, they don’t care your missing money. They don’t care about you at all. You have to dispute your hours and you may still not get them even though you know you worked your shift. You will have trouble clocking in and out because they want to se where you are, even if your phone has horrible reception. They steal too much money from your checks. Oh, and don’t be sick at the last minute and you can’t work your shift. Don’t especially ask to speak to anyone either! I have an open conversation for missing money that hasn’t been responded to, and I now be reporting this app to the Department of Labor. If that doesn’t work, I’m gonna seek legal advice from a lawyer. I also have been suspended twice for reasons out of my control and when I tried to appeal it was denied. That’s not fair, the quick money and weekly checks aren’t enough to deal with the headache that is this app. Once my shifts are over, I will never use this app again. I’m officially done.

Current Instaworker. Instapay is a great option! That’s the only positive I have to tell everyone. Instawork has poor customer support, the clients are extremely disrespectful, and if the client doesn’t like you they will mark you as a no show. You will be suspended on the app for no reason. Customer support will not help you fix large scale problems. Instawork has a long way to go to compete with the better apps in the market such as, wonolo, qwick ,indeed flex, among others. Sign-up at your own risk and the pay is mostly below average. Your average pay will be between $15-$17 and hour with very few high paying jobs available to you. Depending on what level your on. Personally, this is one of the lowest paying apps I have and customer service and support on a scale from 1-10. I’ll give customer support a 3 at best! Be aware!

Lifesaver. I am so glad that I no longer feel stuck at a monotonous job that I rarely enjoy and spend most of my life at. After signing up for Instawork and seeing what my options were, I have felt so much relief in my life that I can’t even express it properly. I am able to live life and make money on my own terms. There are so many shifts to choose from and I can sift through various categories, number of days, length of shifts, and time frame of shifts. If I never have to go back to the old ways of job hunting, I will be more than grateful. My schedule is very busy at times and very uneventful during others, and being able to set my own schedule and be on my own terms with my work life is the exact work environment I need!
