My Pain Diary & Symptom Tracker: Gold Edition App Description & Overview

What is my pain diary & symptom tracker: gold edition app? This is the successor the the popular, award-winning, best selling, doctor recommended pain tracking app, My Pain Diary: Chronic Pain & Symptom Tracker.

This version, My Pain Diary: GOLD EDITION, strikes a delicate balance between ease-of-use and a broad feature-set. This is a truly USEFUL app, and the newest member of the My Pain Diary family, which has helped over 90,000 chronic pain sufferers better manage their pain, improve communication with their doctors, and gain insights that would be hard attain through other means.

Useful and popular features include automatic weather fetching, iCloud sync, basic medication tracking, photo attachments, graphs and PDF doctor's reports.

This app is highly customizable. Everyone tracks pain differently, and this is a framework that supports just about any tracking strategy.

Created by a chronic pain patient to track, manage, and report on chronic pain and symptoms, chronic illness, and mental health.

That means there is no big company with deep pockets supporting this project. I am just one man with a chronic pain condition, a demanding day job, and a young family to care for. I just happen to be formally trained in design, self-taught in programming, experienced at marketing and customer relations, and am a chronic pain patient myself. That's a very rare combination of traits that is hard to come by, so I'm making the most of it, and holding my own against the big players.

Enough about me, back to the app!

Features:
+ iCloud Sync Support
+ Universal App
+ Highly Customizable
+ Easy to use
+ Track unlimited conditions
+ Track multiple/unlimited times per day

ANATOMY OF A PAIN DIARY ENTRY

TRACKERS: Trackers can be thought of as labels or folders that categorize and differentiate your entries. These are the key to tracking more than one condition and comparing conditions to each other.

A common strategy is to name the Trackers after the diseases/conditions that you will be tracking. I.e. Migraines, Anxiety, Fibromyalgia, etc. These are just examples.

METRICS: Each entry is composed of one or more optional pieces of information called 'Metrics'. For example, two commonly used metrics are 'Pain Intensity' and 'Pain Duration'. Metrics are associated with and shared amongst your Trackers. This means that you can set it up to use different metrics for different Trackers, keeping your entry pages clean and the cognitive load low.

Pain Diary 2 -Amazing!!!. Hats off to all the hard work that went into creating such an amazing tool to track pain and so much more within a persons complex medical home care needs. Having the ability to create documents, notes, graphs plus send pictures to a medical provider is nothing short of genius when it comes to this developer.

A must have for anyone with chronic pain. I started using this a few years ago just to identify trends. My entries became redundant so I quit. But as the US Government’s war against chronic pain patients refuses to abate, I decided to go back to keeping a log because logs are powerful as evidence. I was delighted to see the app was updated to add a body map you can click on to select locations. My wishlist would be: some better default trend reports and maybe templated entries for my different pain sources. It does take time to put together an entry and if there are only minor variations in my entries, editing a templated entry would be easier than building a complex entry from scratch one or more times a day. Templated options could also make an Apple Watch app useful, since you want minimal selection options on a WatchOS app. Overall though, it works, covers my needs and is worth the money.

Best Pain Tracker. I have lots of pain, and I needed a way to track it! This fulfilled that need :) I just got a new phone and iCloud sync worked and I’m soooo happy it did! I have been ears of data on here, including a nightly summary almost every day for the past year. That’s HUNDREDS of notes. Bugs: when you click on Pain Diary and then a category, you have to wait for the screen to flicker or the entire app shuts down while you’re entering in the info.

The idea is good…. I do like the idea of the app, however every time I try and click on the pain diary button on the main screen, the whole app shuts down. I have to first click on medication and then back out and then click on the pain diary. That sometimes solves it, other times not. It’s very frustrating.

Well Worth the Money. This app has been the perfect solution to my health problems. I’ve tried a few other apps that I like, but this one is thorough enough that I can track pain, mood, fatigue, and more. I love that I can customize it so it fits what I need. I’m giving it four stars because I think some improvements would make this app one of the top healthcare apps. The interface is great and mostly user friendly, but I feel like it requires too many instructions to use. I think if there was a tutorial button on the top or bottom then they could get rid of all the instructional text that affect the overall look and feel. The graphs can be confusing and a bit too complicated. Personally, I’d love it if it looked like Daylio’s interface (bright and friendly). I’d also love it if it integrated with Apple’s health data and other fitness apps like My Fitness Pal. That way users could see if there’s a correlation between their pain as well as food and activity levels without having to add a hundred custom fields. With or without changes, this app is really helpful to anyone managing a chronic disease or disability or even to those who haven’t been diagnosed. Brilliant idea.

Great Features when They Work. I love the idea of this app along with all of the options available to personalize the app. The problem falls on when the app shuts down; after entering a new medication the entry sometimes goes completely blank and needs to be deleted and re-entered; also I have been unable to get the weather feature to work. This app needs work. I also contacted support and did not get a response.

Can’t customize symptoms, triggers, or remedies. First app I’ve ever bought, and I immediately regretted it. You can’t customize the things you need to, including symptoms. There is a list of only 37 symptoms to choose from in total. Made my first tracker for a condition and went to put in palpitations as an associated symptom. Not on the list, no way to put in custom symptoms. I have a ton of symptoms, that are not on this (very short and limited) list, that my doctor wants me to track. You would think that the designer, someone who has chronic illness, would know symptoms are specific and very varied illness to illness. You can’t customize triggers either. There is a list of 9 triggers to chose from. There is a list of 10 remedies to choose from. If I were able to input my own symptoms to track, it would have been what I needed. Without the ability to do so, it is useless for a good chunk of my conditions. I have 16 chronic conditions, with a some undiagnosed that I’m looking to track so I can hopefully find answers. A short list of general symptoms to choose from to track is not going to work for me. Very disappointed.

I see potential. I do like this app for recording my illnesses but It kicks me out quite often. I don’t have a good short term memory so remembering to try to log my symptoms later, when the app corporates, usually doesn’t happen. I have tried to contact the creator of this app a few times with no reply. I got this app to simplify my tracking, but it has just complicated it instead.

This app is so helpful. I can not say enough good things about this app. The attention to deal and the ability to compile all data into a printable or shareable report to give to doctors is amazing and so helpful. This is also wonderful if you are trying to find trends or triggers to your conditions. Please share this app with everyone you know could benefit from it. I can not wait to see what else then can do to better this app.

So glad I found this....my Drs love the detail.. I’ve been struggling with infrequent migraines for years, but frequency and intensity has significantly increased in the last year. However, there has been no recognizable trigger. This application has enabled me to communicate extremely relevant and diagnostically viable information to my neurologist. It’s ease of use and intuitive components are amazing. I’m so grateful to have found this.

Wonderful App. I really like the App. You can customize real well and it has good details. This and the previous one have been blessings to me. The only thing I wish is that I had some form of quick entry on my watch and phone. I also wish it had several check-in alarms with pop-up access. I tend to track when my pain stops me but I forget to when I can keep moving, so I think a quick entry and some check in alarms may give me another source of data, perhaps on what is working or how much I am ignoring and allowing the pain to build up. As on everything in my life I would like more color opts as well. 😄 Even without these things it is well worth the money. It is the best one I’ve used. Thank you for making it 😃.

Highly Recommend!. I have chronic pain that is now being treated with steroid injections. My doctor wants me to document any kind of pain that I have and what helps alleviate it. At first I started jotting notes down in a little spiral notebook. Sometimes I would forget to write down the type, intensity, or duration. With this app you can customize what you need to document. Essentially there are built in prompts to remind me to document everything my doctor needs to see. My report shows my pain, what medication I took for the pain and how effective the medication was to alleviate it. All in an easy to read format!

Like it a lot, but..... I really like this app and will stay with it. Best one and it is very flexible in adding whatever symptoms etc you have. I just want to ask designer(s) about meditation. I added my meds and when I do my entry it does not select the correct medication. It might be my mistake (witch is possible) but just to make sure that when we select the correct one is pulled through. Thank you for this app. Making life easier for when doctors ask those annoying questions.

A good electronic tracker. This ap out easy to track everything to do with pain. It can track different emotional and physical pain independent. Good for people with memory issues. Doesn’t take much time to use. There is a way to send info from the app to doctors or yourself for long term documentation.

Painful. I started using this app in January, so have 9 months of data recorded for multiple conditions. I really loved the comprehensive data collection of multiple conditions. Now it crashes every single time I try to edit any entry on each device I try. I’m spending the day transferring everything to a different application—I need an application to consistently work. Unfortunately, this one doesn’t.

App doesn’t work anymore!. Please fix this app!! I haven’t been able to use this app for over a year. When I tried to add a new pain tracker I get a message that “Hmmm….there seems to be some data missing. If you’ve installed this app on another device, you may still be waiting for iCloud to complete initial sync. If the problem persists delete the app from this device and reinstall.” I’ve deleted the app from all my apple devices and reinstalled and get th same message. I have emailed the developer and haven’t gotten a response. If anyone knows of a fix please post. Thanks!

Sanity Tracker. While I am still under evaluation with a neurologist to figure out what is going on with me, I have this app to be a lifesaver. Part of my symptoms include intermittent forgetfulness and difficulty concentrating. Having the ability to track physical symptoms before I forget is extremely helpful. The edit ability has allowed me to customize symptoms specific to my issues. The printable graphs and notes section of each entry help me share a clear picture with my doctor.

Almost Perfect App. This is a great app for me to track pain and symptoms for both of my autoimmune conditions. I have fibromyalgia and UC and although it takes a little bit of effort to customize how you want it, the customization is the best part. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because there is no login or save method to save your customizations and logs. I had to switch phones recently and I lost all of the history that I had logged previously because it doesn’t save or store your information. Losing this vital data was a HUGE downfall for me regarding the app. Developers, please update the app to save our history. I will pay more money for that feature. It’s crucial for tracking my symptoms.

Best money I've ever spent on an app. Before I purchased this app, I was constantly trying to remember when I took my last dose of pain medicine so I wouldn't take it again before it was time. You may not walk around with a notebook in your hand to keep up with writing it down, but you have your phone if you are like most people. To set it up, simply customize the medications and dosages. After that, it takes a couple of seconds to log your medicine when you take it. Extremely user friendly! It also has a place to keep up with events of the day if you would like to log an important event, or anything you would like to add as a note. I've used it to log the days I've had epidural pain blocks, which has helped me decide if they are worth repeating by looking at my history. Other functions that I haven't used ( but should) are the pain level and graphing options. I've been using this for at least four months and it has been a lifesaver! Thank you to the developers! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great tracking program. I print this for my rheumatologist every three months. We discuss my symptoms and develop a plan for the next three months. This allows me to be accurate when I see the doctor. I’m forgetful, not now.

Worth it!. I really like this app. I’ve tried a bunch of them but so far this has been the best to track my actual symptoms. I love that the weather is automatically pulled in. The customization options is also wonderful. For example, I have a tracker for pain, mental health, a daily overview, and sleep. It’s been fairly easy to keep it up to date.

Searched so long for this. Update: I use this app extensively to track medical issues, it's the only one I've found that can actually track everything I need, the ultimate app. But, the reporting, is very limited, I really have symptoms other than pain I need to see at glance. If it's not pain, it can't be charted, makes it hard to put so much effort into tracking everything, to not be able to chart or report certain data. Like temperature, blood sugar, weight, overall fatigue. At first, well worth the money, but when it comes time to see what you need, it's severely lacking, which is the reason for the drop to 3 stars. I have sent messages to the creator and it may build in better reporting in the future, I would wait for that, if you're going to spend the money. Original: I have many rare medical conditions that until now I had to use multiple apps to track everything for my multiple doctors. There was no way to pull a single report for all of my symptoms in the various apps. AND it associates my symptoms with the weather, I'm finally get a handle on what's happening. I would give this 10 stars if I could, and I've recommended the app to my Mayo Clinic Drs. LOVING IT!!!

Thank you!. I’ve been waiting so long for a way to track my Trigeminal Neuralgia, and most apps are so limited in options. The ability to customize these reports to my disorder is amazing, and the UI is so easy to use. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Frustrating tool. This app worked great - once. I was able to customize it and make entries immediately after purchasing. Attempted to add new entries a couple of days later and app would immediately close each time I tried adding data. Uninstalled and reinstalled and problem continued. This could be a great tool but what a waste of $ I feel it is after these odd problems.

The Fibro tracker I always hoped would someday be. I’ve been trying to track all of these array of symptoms and pain levels and water consumption...omg everything!!! All in hopes that my logging can help my doctors and myself see patterns and adjust my treatments accordingly. This app has taken so much of the stress of trying to track that many things all at once. It includes EVERYTHING and if it doesn’t, you can probably add it. I’ve customized mine some. I fully plan on sending these reports with graphs to my doctor and saving them periodically myself as well. This app is well worth it.

Frustrating. The older version had way less glitches. This app only works about a 1/3 of the time at this point. When struggling with chronic conditions, there is no patience to deal with these types of irritations. It is supposed to make it easier not cause more aggravation. I click to log something and the whole app just closes 2/3 of time. Please fix!

Solid pain tracking app. This all is extremely customizable and offers so many things to track. Easy to use and set up. If you have multiple pain issues or even just one, I would consider it.

So helpful, exactly what I’ve been looking for. Great interface, easy to use and the ability to add your own symptoms, descriptions, and notes. The tracking is exactly what I have been looking forward, to look at how things are going over time.

No Pain Involved. I use this app whenever there's a change from my norm. It helps my doctor and me realize when an issue is temporary and when changes actually need to be made. It's impossible to think clearly with high pain levels. This app solves that issue by accurately tracking over time how serious an arising issue is.

Won’t fetch weather data. I bought the app under the impression that it would automatically download current weather conditions as I created the journal entries. Disappointingly, that feature doesn’t work on my iPhone or iPad. All settings for this are turned on. I emailed the developer for support twice, with no response. Otherwise it seems like a very thorough and capable app. I only wish it worked as advertised.

Crashing and Missing Functions. I really liked the original app. But this one promises iCloud sync and, my favorite, ability to mark WHERE pain is located. Except this feature is missing. And I have uninstalled and reinstalled 6 or 8 times attempting to fix it. Nothing changing. On top on that it keeps crashing and deletes data every time it crashes. Is this even being updated anymore?

Each time it is opened it fails and closes.. I use the original pain tracker that you made available many years ago. It has been working fine but lately as I have over 12,000 events it seems to be failing sometimes. So I bought this new one, but I find that it is not working as planned. I’d say about three times out of five when I open it and try to enter an event it just closes and no matter what I do it seems to do that. Generally not so happy with this product.

Great App to track pain - love the customization. I have small fiber neuropathy and my feet are constantly in pain. This app has been terrific at tracking the intensity and my pain medications. The reporting feature is very good, would like to better options for graphing. Overall, very pleased with the simplicity and customization ability.

I've been waiting for this app for forever!. My fibro fog is awful and makes staying organized in my every day life extremely difficult. I also struggle to identify my symptoms or put a name to what I'm experiencing. I'm extremely satisfied with this app and have already recommended it to several friends who also experience chronic pain. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that I wish there were a way to set notifications to remind me to log my symptoms and if it connected with my FitBit. I otherwise love this app and look forward to continuing to use it.

Communication Rock Star. This app has been the best communication tool between my primary treating doctor and me. It allows me to directly email all of my pain logs/summaries so that he can have a more accurate picture of what is going on systemically. It is helpful from my standpoint as a patient and from his as my doctor. I'm so glad this app was designed and continues to keep that communication open, honest, and thorough between doctor and patient.

Where have you been?. I’ve been look for a tool like this for a very long time. I can track, chart, and report all my symptoms. I have many. I have read the reviews for this app and have noticed that the concerns expressed in the older reviews have been addressed. Symptoms of any kind (or every kind) can be monitored. Ease of use is a major bonus here. The app is highly customizable. It does take time upfront to customize, but I will save time later. Reporting is still limited to 3 factors; however, you can change them and report another three. I haven’t tested the loss of data yet and really don’t want to. However, data is stored in the iCloud as backup. Thanks so much for the app. It is worth every penny. My feature request: Sync my C-PAP data to the app directly. This would be awesome.

Awesome App that Can Track Everything!. This app is fantastic- almost perfect. I tried several others before this one, but they were all missing things I needed. Plus other apps only track one health problem. I love that I can track multiple health conditions in the same app, and completely customize everything. It's quick and simple to use, or it can be as detailed as you want it to be. You can run reports for your doctor with any associated notes, and you can have private notes you don't want to show up in the report. This was obviously created by someone with chronic health issues who knows exactly what people like us need. There are several training videos that are very helpful. You do have to spend some time customizing it for your needs but once you do that it's easy to use. Reporting function is pretty basic. A few app tweaks would be nice, like copying data from previous days. Overall I absolutely love this and think it's definitely worth the few dollars!

Great App. I’ve been dealing with fibromyalgia (among several other things) for about 20 years now and this is the best app I have used for keeping up with pain levels. I’m also able to share this with my pain doc, with is very usefull.

New User. It is without a doubt, the best app of its type I have found. Only one thing bothers me, entering a new pain reading. When I try to add a new reading, it often shuts itself down. I typically have to try it several times before it will open. Shutting down the app and then trying to add a new reading it still closes itself. It usually takes 3-4 tries to be able to make an entry.

Very limited for the price. I bought this app to track my endometriosis symptoms, however the app doesn't allow you input the illness you are tracking, you must choose from a very limited list (about eight items). That's fine, I can still track my symptoms. However the symptoms that I wanted to track were not available (cramps, vertigo, spotting, etc.), and the search terms that I was given were extremely vague and didn't help me much as far as tracking goes. Unfortunately will be deleting. I can see how this app would work for some people, but for me it was $5 wasted.

Great Tool. I never write reviews but this app is the perfect app to track symptoms, pain levels, etc. it’s super fast to complete each day and it is providing good, objective information to my doctor. I love the color coded calendar because it helps me see at a glimpse how many good days I’ve had.

Such a great App and VALUE. I really don’t like spending money on apps but this app is worth it! There are so many ways to go about setting up and using this app to track symptoms, medications, everything! It’s ability to personalize and customize options is endless l. I was even using creative ways to track keep track/notes of additional things. It is so customizable! Trust me, this app will work for you! It has a way to track literally anything, and everything you need to. If you’re unsure wether or not you should pay the money for the app, do it, there’s no way you will be disappointed. Best wishes on your journey. I thank the creator, for your dedication, understanding, and creation of this app! I also thank you for making it affordable! I also THANK YOU for every option being open and available after the initial purchase price. I can’t stand some apps that want to charge those obnoxious subscription fees, or in-app purchases! You rock!! Again, Than You!

Love it but needs an update. It’s been 5 years since this app had an update. I have loved it for years to help explain the impact of my chronic condition on my daily life. Thank you for making it affordable too. It needs and update I think. Most days, when I go to add a pain diary, it crashes the app. Repeatedly. I usually give up. It only works 20% of the time lately 😭

Great tracker. I have a couple rare diseases and this app I can customize to add anything I need. Downside my doctor wants me to track my 2 diseases with stress and depression and to place on a graph, this apps lets me use the graph but only with 3 things to track and I need 4-5. Wish they could add more! But other then that, this is an awesome app and very helpful!

Update needed!!!!. Please update the app!!! Make the medication list organizable also after you’ve used the app and go to use the pain diary it causes the whole app to crash and you have to shutdown the phone and restart it then you can go into paid diary. I’ve given one star update this app and I’ll update my review to a very glowing review other then above problems I love the app and am glad I upgraded from your first app!!!

Great App!. This is a really well thought out out. Tons of features for tracking and reporting, really easy to use. I’m sure I haven’t even used it to its fullest capability, and I’m super impressed. It even lets you track weather patterns! It came in handy at my last doctor visit. I was able to easily pull up a report that he was able to use and diagnose from. I am excited to use this for a few months so I can analyze for trends and patterns. I rarely write reviews ever and felt I had to for this app. Really well thought out, and powerful tool!! You can tell that who ever developed this app, had use for it, and really understands what it is like to deal with chronic issues.

Was great. This app was great but lacks updated features. I use to really love this app to track my health issues with my doctor but now some of the features like the weather record don’t input the information anymore it use to do it automatically now I have to do it manually and go back and forth between weather apps to get all the info. The weather recording is one of the main reasons I bought this app since I get migraines a lot and wonder if it play a role in my problems.

Missing one feature. I love this app, but January 2021 is the last time the auto weather logging feature worked. It’s currently Making ch of 2021. I used the predecessor of this app happily for years. I downloaded this app because the weather on the other app stopped working. I thought that app was just no longer being supported, so I downloaded this one. Weather still doesn’t work. This is the best chronic pain app I’ve used. I wish that one feature was actually operational.

Still waiting. This app is exactly what I need to keep track of my issues, but the developer has been unresponsive to my questions as to why it crashes on my iPhone. It works well on my iPad, but seeing as I don’t always have that with me, it’s frustrating to not have this working on my phone. Other than that issue, I’m happy.

No support from developer. While I have used this app and loved it for several years, recent problems with the app shutting down unexpectedly had me seeking help from the developer. In the past, he was responsive, but not now. I noticed other reviewers have had the same problem and same lack of response. I decided to reinstall the app in an attempt to fix the problem, but I lost all the historical entries I have made for years. The in-app suggestion for re-synching with ICloud failed to fix the issue. This seems to be a known issue with no fix. I can’t use the app anymore because it keeps looking for the historical data and won’t let me even start fresh.

Excellent. I've used this app to track my polymyalgia rheumatica and it's been the best pain app I've used

Excellent tool for tracking symptoms. This app is fantastic you can easily customise so that you can capture information specific to your needs. Makes it very easy to capture specific information ver quickly.

Used to help recover from injury. You can tell that this app was developed by somebody who (sadly) was in pain for a long time. I downloaded this when recovery from an injury seemed painfully slow and my mental health began to suffer. Simply keeping track and seeing a gradual improvement was enough encouragement. Fully customisable, it's an invaluable resource and heads above the other pain tracker apps on the market. Well worth the money... although I wish it had metric options,

Disappointed - not detailed enough to gather data. Had downloaded this app this afternoon as I am post-op after a foot/ankle surgery and am still getting painful symptoms that change daily. I downloaded thinking I could record what is happening and where. Unfortunately all I could do it highlight the foot/ankle as a whole which doesn’t give me any date to give back to my surgeon. It basically leaves me recording “my foot is sore” which is the whole reason I bought the app to have more information recorded than that :(

GREAT pain diary and tracker!. Love the customisable fields and reports. This app is now an invaluable part of my chronic pain management plan. Highly recommended!

Use to be amazing. Was really good But keeps booting and glitches Iv tried support but no response

Best app for pain tracking!. Great for tracking ones chronic (longer than 2 years) pain for Australians wanting to give evidence for a pain clinic or GP. Highly recommend.

Crashes continually, way overdue for an update. Despite some glowing online reviews for this app, it seems completely unusable these days. Crashes all over the place UI very outdated.

Excellent tool. I have Fibromyalgia and this has been incredibly useful in tracking my pain and identifying possible triggers. My doctor also really likes it. The only thing I’d suggest is possibly a reminder function? Other than that it’s fantastic.

Crashes. Can’t use it crashes. Can’t believe I spent money on it.

So much potential. This app appears to be fantastic, customisable and says you can print reports. Unfortunately, with little updates there are glitches. I lost 3 months worth of metric data and it crashes whenever I try and export a report. I would pay more if these issues were resolved because overall it is the best app I have found but what is the point of data goes missing or it can’t be shared with doctors.

Perfect pain/symptoms tracking app. I am always sceptical about having to pay for something but this app is definitely worth while. I love the way that you can alter it and make it work exactly for yourself. I’m not too sure on the charts as of yet but what would be awesome is if it had a reminder section so as it gave you an alert to remind you to fill in the diary

Great App. This is a great app, very easy to customize to specific requirements. My only wish is that I could change the colours!

Pain and Symptom Tracker. This app is probably the most I have ever paid for an app but it is worth every cent. I am able to keep track of my good and bad days and my doctor gets a better understanding of how we are progressing with treatments. There will be some suggestions in the near future that may help improve it but I've only used it for a fortnight so far and am still working my way around the programme. Stand by for more in the future Andrew

Great for its purpose.. I’m really bad about being aware of my symptoms which makes it difficult to answer the doctors questions. This app is just what I need. I can document easily during the day as changes occur.

Weight lbs - kgs Please. I’m Australian and there’s no option for kilograms - kgs when you put in your body weight into it. It only has lbs.

Crashes. Crashed twice the first time I tried to add an entry. I deleted the app and requested a refund as it does not work as expected. iPad Air 4th generation iOS 17.0.3

Don’t waste money. With zero updates in six years it’s obviously got issues caused by technology updates. I can log some things but then click on another catagory and the app shuts downs

Keeps crashing. App keeps crashing. Reinstall didn’t work. Want a refund. How can a developer not maintain their app. The app clearly has bugs either fix it or delist it. Apple should also have a better system for reporting lazy developers.

Wasted potential. Probably the most user friendly interface out of the diary apps I’ve tried but unfortunately it crashes constantly making it impossible to collate consistent and accurate data

Unusable. This app, whilst seemingly the easy way to track chronic pain and illness symptoms, actually causes further symptoms due to continual crashing. 0 stars. I want a refund!

First one was much better. I've been using the first app (My pain diary) for years. I've communicated with the developer and tested the beta for this one, and was glad to support a fellow chronic pain sufferer. However I can't believe how this second "gold" app offers less than the first one! We can't customize it as much, I often find myself looking for options that aren't there. I'll be looking for a new pain tracking app, and very sad about that.

Used to like it now I don't use it. It's a great app, until you run into problems and email the developers. Over a month later I get a generic email back, not even helping me with my problem. I'm over it. Back to doing a "pain dairy" using the word app instead.

My app keeps crashing crashing. Even though I reinstalled it. Presently looking for a new app

Acessibility. I have this App on my phone for ease of use during the day. Though I am perhaps lacking in knowledge of it, I was immediately turned off when my iPad version did not have the inputed info. from my phone. Other Apps are integrated when the purchased Apps automatically appear on both devices upon purchasing them. The ability to work on my iPad is easier when at home. I do not have the energy to re-enter everything on a second device. Any ideas on this? I find it difficult to access the whole body image on my phone. Also, I am unable to enter multiple issues without the App going back to what I call neutral, so I feel it takes way too long to enter my symptoms, for they are many. I hope to be a consistent user should these problems be resolved. I will go back to Youtube to better understand the App.

Setup is A bit complicated. I really like this app. It tracks just about everything you could imagine and entry is very simple. There are a couple of things I would like to see changed. First, like others have mentioned, to be able to move between iPhone and iPad. I like to use my iPad but don’t always have it with me. Might have to bite the bullet and just put it on my phone. Second, I am in Alberta, Canada and the weather metric doesn’t seem to work. It should be noted that not all of the app works outside of wherever it was designed, I am assuming the US. This is very valuable to me. Also being able to modify the weather metric would be helpful too. Most places these days use metric instead of standard measurements so it would be nice to choose which one you want to use. Other than that it is pretty good. Being highly customizable means that you will probably have to watch all the videos on YouTube and play around with it a bit but once you get it all setup it is an amazing tool.

Great app!!! Would like a couple of changes. Could not wait to get this app! Got it yesterday and love that it is customizable. Please could you make a couple of adjustments. 1- When editing metrics could you put the title of the metric you are editing. EG: Fibromyalgia or Back pain. For some fibro patients we have a limited concentration or focus. For me specifically when fibro is in high gear I can't remember which color is for which ailment. Sounds silly but I hope you understand. 2- when editing or deleting associated triggers could you make them specific to the condition instead of deleting the from associated conditions. Hope you understand what I mean. Thanks for all your hard work and I would recommend this to anyone who needs to track their medical issues.

Love the app, but. Is it possible for you to change the duration of pain to have the ability to go on for days or weeks instead of just hours? Would bump up to 4 - 5 stars if that was done. Thank you for the time and the app! Update: The app crashes every time I hit a tracker now.

I like the app. But it keeps crashing mid entry. Very annoying.

Best pain and meds mgmt app. I’ve been using this app for years and hope to use it for a long time in future. Yes it takes time to get to know it, and set it so it works how you want, but for me it’s perfect. I’m super happy.

Crashes. Crashes when I try and click on Arthritis to enter pain diary. When I go to click Medication reports I get the button above not the one I want (say I go to click Tylenol…Aspirin pops up). Disappointed I paid for this when I had pain attached Pro that worked fine in the past.

Love this app. I use for tracking my migraines as well as my auto immune illnesses. I like that I can send my doctors reports or pull up when at doctors to show or jog my memory of bad days, what weather was like as that can play into etc. Highly recommend

No customer service. Bought the app. Tried it for less than a week, and realized it didn’t work for me. I emailed customer service to ask if a refund was possible. No response.

Too many bugs, keeps crashing. For a pay app, I expected something more usable and less buggy. Any time I make a change, the app crashes.

Excellent. What would I do without it

Was good but app not supported. Was using app. It worked till iOS13 . IOS14 is now out to give you an idea how long this app has not been working. Multiple emails to developer for support with no response. Don’t waste your money. The app crashes shortly after starting . So you can’t make a log entry. This totally defeats having or paying for the app

It crashes every time. Every time I try to log a head ache it crashes! I’ve tried reinstalling twice and I still can’t use the app! Sad

Just Right. I am tracking RA symptoms and this is a very helpful App: well thought out, works beautifully, easy to use, A lot of needed features e.g. Reports, graphs, imports photos with diary entries... this has everything I need and works well. Definitely worth the price! TY!

Good but still needs work. The sync at times does not work well! You have to force it to stay synced with two devices iPhone and iPad. The reports will crash and at times you cannot run them. It is easy to use and tracks well but with those issues it prevents me from giving a higher rating.

Pain scale system. I wish there were more color gradient in the pain scale. The Yellow color covers too great of a range and can’t adequately depict the nuance of what’s going on at a glance. I think there should be one color for every 2 numbers.

Pretty bad. Sorry but this app does not deserve a $5 price tag. Major bugs including frequent crashing when trying to use fundamental features, the ‘report’ feature is close to useless. No thanks

App no longer supported. As of Dec 2021, last update was over 4y ago. App crashes frequently on iPhone 12 pro max running iOS 15.2. Would like to recommend, but cannot until updated.

Beautiful App. I loved this app and was sad to get rid of it. It's beautifully designed and sorta easy to understand. It was just way too advanced for my needs.

Restore not working. I love the app and used it for 4 months straight. The recent iOS update forced me to wipe my phone and recover from backup. The app no longer works and my log is gone. It keeps shutting down shortly after launch. Tried the fix iCloud sync, but doesn’t work. I deleted and reinstalled multiple times with no success. Please look into this ASAP!

Love this app. I’ve been using this app for a few weeks now and I love it! It’s easy to use and tracks everything that I need it to. Now I will have a record to show my doctor. I highly recommend this app!!

Love this app. This app was perfect for my situation. My insurance company was blown away when I could get my daily records so easy

Not easy to use. I am disappointed in this app. I had high hopes for it. I wrote with a question and have yet to hear back. It is more complicated than I had hoped and customer service seems to be non existent.

Incredible tool. My illness is yet undiagnosed and I’ve struggled to explain to the doctors. This app is an amazing tool to help me convey the amount, intensity and location of pain. Thank you for creating this.

Great app if it still worked. This was an incredibly good app for tracking multiple medical conditions. Simple but thorough, detailed. Unfortunately, it crashes all the time now. From the update history, it seems the developer is no longer interested in keeping it up. Shame it really was a good app.

Used to work. I used this app for a while, and it did what I needed. Now it crashes whenever I go to enter my pain for the day.

Finally!. Love, love, love this app. I can track my fibromyalgia symptoms any time and anywhere.

Great idea too bad weather does not work on this one or the old app.. Weather will not load, waste of 5.00. Great ideas if it all worked. The weather on the old app does not work any longer either.

The Best App For Me. I had been searching for months on a pain app that would be able to replace my old app. This app is the best replacement I could find. It has all of the features I needed and very user friendly.

Keeps crashing. Genuinely loved the app but haven’t been able to use it for months because it crashes as soon as I do anything

Awesome app. Awesome app lets me had something to show my Doctor when I go. Allows me to see which triggers and how offend they happen together

Suits most of my needs. Only complaint so far- I would like the ability to edit lists independently for each tracker will change to 5 stars if this is updated

Love it. Great app for tracking symptoms, very flexible and easy to adjust to your every need.

It keeps crashing!. It worked great for a couple days and now it keeps crashing. I open it and as soon as I click anything it crashes. I have tried removing the app and reloading it. Doesn’t work. I have tried utilizing the apps icloud restore. It still crashes. This is happening on both the iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6. Both are running on the latest update. PLEASE HELP!

Crashes Constantly. The latest update ruined a great app. It used to work wonderfully, but since the update, every click crashes the app every time.

No Weather information. I would give this app no stars if I could. I have tried multiple times to reach the developer about it not updating weather information when you make an entry. It is useless to me without that information. I am frustrated by this because otherwise it is well designed.

App fails daily. It is worthless to pay for an app when you can’t enter any data. Sometimes it works other days it doesn’t at all. You click to add symptoms and are kicked out of the app. You can’t keep an accurate medical journal if you can’t add to it when needed. Stick with the free version. Less glitchy.

So far no support. I think this could be a great app but it is not intuitive. The how to videos are not detailed enough to help. Emailed but not yet heard back. Might switch to a different app

Outstanding. I tried several apps before I discovered this one and it is by far the best.

Crashes all the time. Bought this app to track symptoms after a fall and concussion with muscle spasms. The app won’t stay open. Sometimes it crashes when I try to add a medication I took. Sometimes it crashes when I click pain entry. So unpredictable. Not worth the money.

Useful App but crashes a lot. I really like the app that I can track my conditions and my medications every day. I could edit the conditions and scales specifically to my personal problems. I would give it a 5 if it did crash on me. It did that so many times today and I couldn’t even use it.

Needs a food section. I'm finding my fibromyalgia is worse if I eat the wrong things, and still trying to find out what those wrong things are.

Useful. This app lets me track my pain and help determine what triggers it.

Was awesome. This app was perfect and great to customize, but the developer has abandoned it and it hasn’t been updated in several years, so it crashes whenever you try to enter something; it does still work if you’re patient enough to restart your phone every time. I also got no help from Apple, who still happily charges for an app that entirely work.

Great app. Finally an app that allows me to write diary notes regarding my pain that can be printed or emailed to my doctor and attorney. This is a great product!!!

Very good tracker. This is a great app for tracking pain but customer service is non existent. I have sent three emails and two instant messages over about a month time frame and no response. Excellent app but if you need help forget it. They won’t ever reply back.

Very Functional. So much capability in this app. One tip--if you are just getting started don't try to track absolutely everything. It can be overwhelming. At least it was for me. ;)

Great help!. This app has been great as a daily reminder for me to track what is going on in my body. This will be very helpful for my multiple appointments with specialists. Well worth the cost!

Add copy function please 🤗. Love this app for manual daily entries. Would be soooo much easier if we could copy disease info from day to day when there isn't any change. Please 🤗 please 🤗

App crashes every time I try to enter a symptom tracker. I used to love this app, but now whenever I attempt to add an event in the pain tracker, the app crashes. I can add medication or important events, but the symptom tracker crashes it. I’ve emailed support for help and never received a response. Very disappointing!

Can’t open app after purchase. I purchased this app and it will not open on my iPhone 13. It must need an update of some kind. Seeking a refund. I used the free version for years but that one is not opening either. Such a disappointment. I had years of entries i it. Please update this app so that it works on the current iPhone model. It’s a wonderful app when it works. Thank you.

Joyful. This app is wonderful! I can track my pain and fatigue. I really like that you can edit the pain information and customize it to what works for me.

Nice idea, but not very good follow through. Everything about this app is a great idea. It seemed like the perfect thing I was looking for. But I cant choose my variables for a graph, it doesn’t fetch weather or barometric pressure like it says it does, you are stuck using it only on one device, and there is zero support.

Data Gone. I’ve been using this app to track my migraines. My neurologists rely on this data to turn in to my insurance company and get the medication I need. Well I woke up this morning and 2 years worth of data is gone. Disappeared. Do not rely on this app - one day you might wake up to find the data you meticulously saved and the custom pain scale that you created no longer exists. Just us pen and paper.

Absolutely perfect. This app is everything someone with chronic pain could ever want. Undoubtedly worth every penny - making my life so much better. Literally a combo of every other app I’ve seen out there

Just OK. The good: has everything I need to track The bad: reports are weak and difficult to follow, printout is just as bad. Would be nice to see data exportable to MS Excel. My Dr looked at the report and pretty much tossed it, too difficult to see at a glance what is going on.

Waste of money. I want a refund.. When I try to add a pain entry it closes to the home screen. If I try to click on a pre made pain condition, it closes to home screen. Useless. I want my money back.

Excellent for autoimmune disease. I have used this for 4 months now, and have found the charts and calendars to be excellent ways to show my rheumatologist what is going on. Thank you !
