Crap App/Crap Device. I bought the Gear Fit 2 Pro for the onboard GPS and music for when I’m out on the road. All of this is essentially useless when my iPhone says the device is connected but the device says it’s not. As a result, this app will never see the device no matter how many device and iPhone resets and app deletions and reloads I’ve done. I’ve resigned myself that I wasted money on a poorly constructed Samsung product, a lesson I should have learned from my defective Samsung refrigerator I also wasted money on. I’m done with Samsung. UPDATE: In response to the developer, the device has been fully reset and reconnected repeatedly, only to fail to reconnect again within a day or two. The inability to perform as advertised is completely unsatisfactory and, lately, indicative of nearly all Samsung products we’ve had within our family. No more Samsung for us. We’re done!

iPhone 6s and gear fit2 work just fine. I got an iPhone 6s and the gear fit2 and it works just fine. Get all my notifications and whatnot on my watch and is all good. Good connection too! Can’t complain. iPhone users, follow instructions on how to connect your watches if your still having trouble. Follow the steps! I did a couple times and finally worked and is worth it. Probably works better with a Samsung phone but my iPhone and watch are working quite well together!

Good but.... I love the Samsung gear fit 2 it has some really great features. Like checking your heart rate, and reading texts And assisting in tracking your caloric intake. The only issue i have is it has very bad connection issues. One moment it’s connected to my iPhone and it’s alerting you on received messages and the next moment it’s not connected. I make sure the app is updated and so is my phone. I have to constantly keep shutting off the GF2 so it reconnects. So annoying.

Weather does not work until reinstall. Location sharing for weather app is not possible. It is not an option anywhere in iOS settings. I’m using iOS 13.3 on iPhone 7. This problem was not resolved until I reinstalled the app. Fit does not show up on devices on iPhone 5S. Other 3 devices show up. On iPhone 7 all 4 devices work. It’s a shame because earlier version supported 5S.

Samsung, please read. So I just found this GearFit in my house, but I have recently changed to an iPhone, so I wish that this app could be more compatible with this GearFit, there are many apps and GearFit faces that aren’t available for the iPhone. I hope in the future using this app on iPhone will be just like using it in Samsung. While this app on IPhone has about 5 apps, on the Samsung it has about 21 apps. I even heard there are more setting on the Samsung, and some can even quick reply to texts. Please reply to me on this.

Connection problems. When I bought my galaxy fit watch at first time was Ok, but later on it started to freeze and everything. Right now, it’s been 2 weeks and I can’t connect my watch to the gear app. I’m using an iPhone 8 Plus. I have send an issue report but I did not get any response. 2nd review: I received instructions, I followed them but I wasn’t able to reconnect my gear. I do not know what to do.

App will not sync with iPhone 11 and OIS 13.1.2. Purchased the Galaxy Fit three weeks ago and it synced perfectly with iPhone 7 Plus running IOS 10 but have upgraded to iPhone 11 and app will not recognize the band. Get message now on band “Get Started in the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone.” Phone says connected but app can not recognize the band. Sent message to Samsung explaining that I upgraded phone and it would not connect to the app and also explained I followed the troubleshooting suggestion I found on internet and on its site. Received response from Samsung and they told me to do exactly what I explained I did to resolve the issue. So I feel they just have a person who just copy and pasted the same answer to anyone who has a syncing issue. They say on its site it’s compatible with iPhone 7 and above running IOS 10 and above which I believe not to be true since it will not connect. Tried syncing with two other iPhones my friends use, one an 8 and another a XR running IOS 10 and the app sync was not a problem. So in short, the app is not comparable with either the iPhones 11 or the IOS 13.1.2 and now I have a band that is totally worthless till they upgrade the software.

Watch won’t sync data with app. I’ve had my Samsung watch for about 6 months. I got the watch because I want to track my running since I regularly train for races. At first it worked great, the app and watch synced well and the app stored all of my data. A few mo this ago it would no longer let me look at my run splits....annoying but I can deal with it. However, I recently got a new iPhone and now, even though I have synced my watch and the app multiple times, none of my run or workout data will transfer. It looks as it I’ve done nothing (apparently I don’t sleep either). This has been EXTREMELY frustrating. I just updated the app and hope that the new update would fix the problem but unfortunately it won’t. I’m not sure what else to do other than get a Fitbit or Apple Watch.

Not connecting the watch to the app.. Took more time to troubleshoot and finally got my Fit 2 connected. Patience was the key for me. I love this watch and all it does.I switched from Fitbit and I was so excited about it I just wanted it to work fast. Sorry for complaining at all. Great product and specs. In a lot of cases we have to also note that if the connections we need to start up is not functioning properly due to inclement weather or tower issues, that has nothing to do with the product. Looking forward to seeing this watch answer calls and hear music on it! 😀

Like it but could use more apps. Revised: the fix to the connection issue was to install the latest update on the gear fit. Unfortunately I had to figure this out on my own. Samsung should send out a notice when new updates are available Not happy with gear fit at all Got a new iPhone and cAn not connect it. Why did a whole bunch of other apps work seamlessly with the new phone?! I should note that the old phone lost connection on a daily basis. Not good! New issue Aug 2017 Recently the device records sleep when I am not wearing it, including when it is on the charger Revision Samsung added weather capability by double clicking home key The gps issue continues. Help desk recommended factory reset which did not work A new issue has come up. The location is turning on by it self (or not turning off after a bike ride). The device then vibrates and turns off in the middle of the night when the battery dies. Minimally stop the vibration notification. Better yet fix the issue. 1. I have the two S health bugs noted below 2. Where is the calendar? 3. How do I download music? 4. Needs a weather app. There are some watch faces that have a weather link 5. How do I access barometer? 6. The gps recently started under reporting distance

Works, mostly. I enjoy this app and the watch but my only drawback is that in order for me to update my location I need the app on my phone to be open. If I try and update location with the app not running then it will say “connect to phone”(which it is already). I have location access set to always for this app but it doesn’t matter. I’m using an iPhone se 2020 edition

Less Steps After Update. I had no issues with my Gear Fit, up until I did the update on the watch. I don’t get nearly the same amount of steps I used to before the update. I like to use it at work, since I work in the health field, I’m constantly walking. I leave work with about 1,000 steps less than what I did before the update, and work has gotten a lot busier lately. Is there something wrong with my watch?

Doesn’t work on my current phone. I got this app on my siblings phone a while a go because my old phone was out of storage. The app was great and it let me do pretty much anything I wanted it to. Then I got a new phone with more storage after my old one broke. I tried to see if I could work out how to set it up on my new phone. I connect my watch to the phone with Bluetooth and then when I open the app the type of Galaxy Fit I have doesn’t show up on the list. Very disappointing.

Download Mode. I love this device I really do but it randomly does this “download mode” thing. The screen turns on and off, it disconnects and reconnects from my phone and the app over and over again. Sometimes it’s only for a few hours other times it’s for several days, and I can’t use the watch at all when it does this which really annoying. I don’t see anything about it on the FAQ or user manual so I don’t know how to fix it. 😩

Custom design choices. This app is very practical but there are a few things that would make it better. I wanted a custom Home Screen because none of the ones that were available caught my eye really. I actually really liked the heart design one in the artistic section but it was a bummer that I couldn’t edit it. It would be nicer to make your own though!. Otherwise I think it’s good since it connects to your phone and it’s easy to use.

Update to ios 15. The app has always worked very well although it would be nice if settings in Samsung Health were integrated into one app. Recently, I was having a problem with my Fit band so decided to reboot it and reinstall the Galaxy Wearable app. Now the app will not connect to the band. Is this an issue with the app and how it works with the update?

iPhone connection issue UPDATE. I have the new Samsung fit and it will not stay connected to my IPhone XR. It’s been 2 days and I have uninstalled / removed devices / turned off Bluetooth for 10-20 seconds. That stuff doesn’t work. If it wasn’t meant to work with an iPhone then it shouldn’t have been marketed as such. The device itself is great - and when I open the app my device will then connect via Bluetooth. But if I am not on the app Bluetooth drops within about 3 minutes. UPDATE You have to keep the app running in the background for it to maintain Bluetooth connection. And make sure background refresh is on for the app. Seems to have solved my issue!

Won’t sync data. I’ve tried to use the customer support feature multiple times now, no response. My watch says it’s connected to the app. The app says it’s connected to the watch. The app shows the correct battery percentage for the watch, so they’re connected. However, none of my health data (steps, HR, etc) will sync. This has been going on for 6 months or more. You responded to my feedback and told me to contact you through the app. I have 3 times (2 of them before posting the original review) and have had no response.

FIXED!!!. ***UPDATE*** I just downloaded the latest update and everything is fixed!!! Also thanks guys for the amazing customer service! I love my Samsung galaxy fit2 which I just got, it is paired to my iPhone SE. (because I don’t want to spend 400+ on a Apple Watch) and there are a lot of bugs with this app. 1- the weather does not work, even though I have location services turned on it says I do not. 2- it keeps disconnecting from my phone. 3- there are a lot of other minor bugs that aren’t really worth mentioning. My iPhone is not supported.. So to start things off, I had ordered a Samsung galaxy fit 2. I was told anywhere I looked that iPhone models with the latest iOS update were supported. After a while of trying to set things up on my iPhone se, I was confused because there was no option for my fit 2. I kept trying and everything but nothing had worked. Of course Samsung wouldn’t mention that only iPhone 7 and up work with this app correctly, because you know, why would they specify that? Like cmon, you could have just said that in the description. I know that this fit 2 is probably wonderful and great but I’m going to have to return it for this reason. I hope everyone is able to read this.

New galaxy fit cannot connect with iPhone 6. I have tried troubleshooting for hours to connect my brand new galaxy fit with my iPhone 6 to no avail. I have downloaded and removed the app multiple times as well as turned my phone, Bluetooth and watch on and off multiple times and it is not working. Also, I noticed in the app itself does not list my version, galaxy fit at all in the list for set up. I’m wondering if Samsung is no longer supporting galaxy fit for iPhone? I’m really frustrated. I waited for a week to get it in the mail and need it for a fitness program I’m doing and now I have a fitness tracker that doesn’t work. Without connecting to the app I cannot even get the fitness tracker to turn on at all except the welcome screen. I have researched online to try to find a fix but I have found nothing. My phone’s Bluetooth find the watch fine but I cannot get the app to find it. Help!?

Horrible app, bad support. App and watched worked fine with my iPhone 6, thought not ideal by any means. Connecting to the app was always a pain, the market for watch faces and watch apps is trash. But my phone broke, and I upgraded to an iPhone 6s. Now I don’t receive text messages on my watch for no reason. It’s not blocked, and I’ve tried everything, including factory resets. Nothing works. Everything else sends notifications, but not the text messages. When I tried to inquire about this through the “report a problem” form on the app, the response was a copy/paste of instructions for how to connect the watch to the phone. Absolutely useless and lazy support. And to preempt another useless response, when I bought my watch, iPhone 6 was supported, so the nonsense dev response that it isn’t supported is garbage, especially since they can’t even provide proper support for the iPhone models they do support.

Fit2 not compatible with IOS update. I bought my Fit2 in November 2020 and it completely disconnected from my phone 10 weeks later and wouldn’t reconnect. Samsung replaced it saying the issue was “device won’t charge” which is false. I received a brand new one and it won’t connect to my phone either. Turns out that the night my original Fit2 stopped working was the the night my iphone automatically updated downloaded the newest iOS update. Having researched my issue it turns I that the Fit2 is NOT compatible with the new iOS. STAY AWAY.

Love it but.... Like I said I love it’s but I wish when you wanted a specific watch face you could search it up, when you view the watch faces it has a search bar but it doesn’t work for me. Other then that it’s amazing works great on my gear fit 2 and it takes a lot to get five stars from me!

After iOS 15 update, I have a buggy paperweight. After the iOS15 update, my Galaxy Fit no longer functions. The app says it can’t find the Fit, the Fit has a tendency to get stuck in a loop of trying to restart itself. After it gets out of a loop it can still take 30+ minutes before it can connect to the app and even display the correct time. Even when it does manage to stay connected for a few hours without restarting itself, the battery no longer holds a charge for a full day. I have updated the software on the Fit, uninstalled and reinstalled the app (while restarting my phone in between). I’m not convinced that a factory reset on the watch will make a difference. It was already pretty annoying that I had to switch between this app and the Samsung Health app to access different features (why aren’t the features rolled into one app like on a Fitbit?) but this is obnoxious. I’m really disappointed.

Can’t get help without Samsung account. It’s stupid and pointless to make people mad by hiding behind a log in wall to complain that this stupid app doesn’t work with your own product that you sell. You can’t even buy the old watches at this point why does this even exist. I have model SM-R370 it looks like the top option when you open the app. The phone will pair to it but the app doesn’t see anything and it has full permissions. Please fix this. Now I have to return my Christmas present to my father and figure something else out. One star.

Worthless for any Apple device. I love my Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro watch. I love that it is able to do all the things I want it to do and is waterproof. I love that it is a fraction of the cost of an Apple Watch! But, sadly, my Samsung phone ate it and I now have an iPhone. What a nightmare! I *HATE* the headache of trying to use this watch with my iPhone. It is such a wreck. Will NOT connect to Apple Health app. This sounds minor but in reality this is a really big problem!! Any health/fitness apps installed on the iPhone will only sync with information from Apple Health. I have not found a work around for this yet. But even if there were one, it would require the use of multiple apps to transfer data from the watch to the phone to S Health, to an app that could then work as a go between for S health and Apple Watch. Major facepalm. Constantly disconnecting from my phone. Only sometimes notifies me about texts/calls. Even when connected to my phone. And now with the new update it seems I cannot put any new apps on the watch?! I had the UnderArmor app, deleted it before the update and now I have no way to download it back. There is no “Gear Fit Apps” option as there was before. I don’t WANT a $300+ Apple Watch. I’m happy with my Gear Fit. But I know I’m not getting the best use of it. I wish all these apps would just work together!

Battery Drain Fixed (For Me). 1. Battery Draining SO fast kept charger on arm of sofa & charged several times a day. The recommendation of using “Low Power” is ridiculous as virtually nothing I care about works in this mode(when charging it’s on Low Power) 2. What works wonderfully FOR ME? I turn off EVERYTHING except Location and Heart Rate AND keep “Do Not Disturb” on ALWAYS. All notifications OFF, report data to Samsung OFF.... A. Location gives me Distance Walked B. Heart Rate gives me Sleep Data and Heart Rate while Sleeping/Rest vs. While walking. Distance Walked, Sleep Data & HR is all I care about. P.S. Who is the IDIOT that designed the “Clasp” of the band?!?!? I’ve ordered a band with a BUCKLE. I am going to have a Shoe Repair cut ends off STUPID original band and SECURELY, Permanently SEW the Buckle band ends onto original. All replacement bands that HAVE a buckle have too high a percentage of reviews that the Actual Monitor piece Pops off & gets lost.

iOS 14.4 issue. I can’t receive notifications from message app (SMS, Mail, Line..) Other app can make notifications. Of course, I confirmed that the settings are correct. Why? UPDATE: In the first place, there is no item to get iphone notification in notifications settings of galaxy fit app (Galaxy Fit app → Notifications→Receive notifications) . I'd like to send a screenshot of it, but here can't send a photo. UPDATE: I decided to return it. But apart from that problem, it was a very good watch. Thank you.

Works well on iOS. Would love a dark theme and the ability to set personal stride lengths in the future (have myself listed as 4” taller then I really am to match my stride length which isn’t 2.5’ for a 6’ average man) as well as more watch faces for the new Galaxy Fit. However app works well with the Fit and my prior Gear and Active. Some annoying issues like old watches showing up, daily goals not showing up right away on Fit (just need to change it and then change it back to original goal) but otherwise a decent app.

Ok heart but poor sleep monitoring.. I like the fact that it tracks my vitals, but it is inaccurate 50% of the time. The heart rate monitor is the only thing I can rely upon, although I have not really tested its accuracy with an external with a chest monitor. The sleep mode is what I really got it for, but most of time it records my sleep wrong—shorter when I sleep longer and rates it at poor; and when it is short, rates it at fair. I understand that I wake up in-between sleep, but it fails to record my sleeping sometimes and just marks it as sedentary.

Getting better. I was a little harsh in my first review but after Samsung got back to me I changed my mind. Now the app has a lot to improve on, but it is getting better. My one suggestion is to combine the health app and this app, so we there will only be one app to run this watch. Much like how Fitbit does it with only one app. My other suggestion is to try to make it so the watch and the app sync faster, and to make the app load a lot faster. This would decrease the time that we spend waiting for it to load. Samsung please get back to me.

Samsung fit not working after iOS 15 update!. I updated iOS 15 on my iPhone today and now my Samsung fit is not working! The app says cannot connect to band and the band is flashing Samsung fit on and off. Can’t even power it off, it’s not doing anything! I’ve closed out of the app & reopened still not connecting to band. The band is charged at 75% so I know it’s not that. So the app finally connected to my band but then went out again. Please look into this issue with the iOS 15 update! Saw another review that was having same issues after update. Something is going on for sure with iOS 15 update. Please look into this and get the issue resolved!! Thanks! It’s annoying!

confusing. the setup is super confusing. I am trying to connect my gear fit 2 but it didn’t show up on the first screen. I then did what the app said to do and connected my band to bluetooth. It still wasn’t working. I then tried to email the people asking for help but then it asked me for my samsung account which I don’t remember creating. I’m just really confused and annoyed that my watch and phone aren’t connecting.

Cannot connect to texting.. I have an IPhone XR and in this app under notifications there should be an option to manage notifications where I can turn on and off diffeeent apps. I don’t have that option and cannot connect my gear fit 2 to my phone’s messages

Odd juggling act between this and Samsung Health. The Galaxy Fit app is pretty solid, other than the occasional bad update (some updates have made it impossible for my phone and Fit to connect). In theory, this app controls the device, and Samsung Health tracks your fitness data. In practice, you jump back and forth between the two to manage your settings. Also, one can lost the connection, and the other doesn’t, so I question how good the communication is between the two apps. It’s easy enough to quit one and restart it, but it is annoying as crap when I’m sitting in a meeting and my Fit notifications start going off constantly. This is almost always a sign that the Fit app crashed, but the Health app is fine, and my phone is dumping every notification it can to my phone (I have email and most app notifications turned off). I’m scrambling to open my phone and force Fit to quit and restart, to get it to stop before my arm vibrates off...

Doesn’t seem to sync consistently. So I have both an I watch and a gear fit 2 pro, my problems include random disconnects from the watch that can only be correct if you reset the watch. Annoying. On top of that it does not sync data to other apps like MFP or Record. S Heath is ok but unfortunately I have a lot of info on MFP, love my gear but with all the problems this app has with my gear, may have to go back to iWatch. Update: the sleep tracking needs a little work. Although I slept 5 or so hours it’s showing I slept for 51 mins. I’ll update my review if this changes. App still doesn’t sync with any other app. (Yes I looked in settings). Update 2: sleep seemed to have corrected itself other problems still there. Update 3: I have uninstalled the App and will be returning my Gear Fit 2 Pro, today it disconnected from my phone and would never reconnect until I reset the watch.

Battery and connect ability. Put a new battery in watch because battery didn’t make it through the day even with many things turned off. After battery installation watch briefly connects to blue tooth and then disconnects with a message saying to forget the device and try again but that doesn’t work. I looked at what app developers said to do and tried it all but none of their remedies were effective. So this highly capable watch is just a dumb watch and am very frustrated with its inability to do something as simple as connect to my phone. I reset watch, deleted and reinstalled app and it recognizes watch is near by but when I press to connect it just times out without connecting.

Doesn't support iPod touch. When I bought my galaxy fit 2 I expected I could use the app with my iPod because it had the latest iOS. I was really disappointed when I couldn't even use my watch. Besides not being able to use my watch, the app is fine. It has lots of good features and the app could run in iPod touch the watch would be worth the money. Developers please make the app compatible with iPod touch Thx

Does not work with iPhone 8 Plus. Incredibly frustrating that this device won’t work with my iPhone 8 Plus. I’ve tried all the suggestions provided by “support” and none of them works. It used to work just fine with my iPhone 6, so it’s unbelievable that they can’t fix the software to work with a newer phone. If you see the Samsung help sites, everyone has the same problem. And Samsung apparently doesn’t want to bother fixing it. This device is a total disappointment, now. I’ll never bother with a Samsung again and will continue to warn everyone with an iPhone not to purchase a Samsung fitness tracker.

Trash.. This was really annoying for this app to say it’s compatible with my standard iPhone 6 when it really isn’t. It says it will be on the AppStore but low and behold, once I got the Samsung Galaxy fit I find out this app can’t let me register it because of the apps inability to utilize older devices even though it deceptively said otherwise on the AppStore . I’m very upset. I got a Galaxy fit only to find out I can’t pair it. But the best part is it pairs just fine with a GALAXY FIT E not a GALAXY FIT. Samsung Galaxy fit only works on newer devices which this app DOESNT tell you. I hate this. I’m returning my fit and I’m decidedly getting an Apple Watch 4. So annoying.

Love it, but.... I can’t complain really. I have had my watch and app for 2 years while using the Samsung galaxy s7&8. Recently switched to an iPhone and was so happy my watch is compatible. If possible I’d love to have the ability for my phone alarms to also go off on my watch like it used to when I had a Samsung phone AND my favorite feature of find my phone is no longer on my watch. It was the best thing ever and my husband was so happy when I had that, but now it is gone and he has to hear me say “where is my phone” again. It would be great to have that back and for my alarms on my phone to sync with my watch again!!!

Connectivity issues. Every day I have to kill the app & restart it to get it to connect to my watch. And now even that is not working. The app just won’t connect to my gear fit2 pro. Very frustrating. Should have bought an Apple Watch instead. Oh well, lesson learned. Update: Reg the developer response- I did report it using the contact us option, but never got a response. This device is not for iPhone users. Don’t worry about responding; just got a new Fitbit charge 3. No more frustrations.

After iOS 15 Update, Boot Loop. Like another reviewer from a couple of months ago, the Samsung Fit is no longer working / syncing correctly, and once an exercise is started, the Fit will enter a boot loop every time the phone (in my case, and iPhone SE gen2) tries connecting and syncing with it. It’s impossible to use now, which is so desperately sad - I love my fit, but I’m going to have to move away from Samsung accessories because of this. :-( Like the other reviewer, I tried uninstalling both this app and the SamsungHealth app multiple times, but I also factory reset thr Fot twice, too. It works for a bit until, usually, I start and exercise, and then it bootloops again. PLEASE fix, Samsung team!

Sleep Tracking issues. One of the main reasons I bought a Samsung fit was it had everything I wanted and now would work with my iPhone.... well kinda. Sleep tracking works on the device but the information does not sync over. This is a major flaw as this is one of the main components of the device. So the issue is in the software of the apps. Please fix this issue. I really like the products but I am going to need to return this if it cannot be fixed.

Galaxy Fit2. Love my Galaxy Fit2 watch and loved the first version as well. Was sad and disappointed when it stopped working/connecting with my Samsung phone. I like all the features, it tracks well, and so many watch faces to choose from. I do wish there was more color options for each watch face choice. This and the fact that I had to buy a new watch (Galaxy Fit2) just at 2 yrs after buying the Galaxy Fit is the reason for the 4 and not 5 stars. Oh a bonus is that this watch, the App And the Samsung Health App all work with my new iPhone. This was going to be my only apprehension in getting the iPhone but surprise! It works!! Thanks

Connection issues with watch, slow and laggy app. Besides for the lack of apps available for my watch (Gear Fit2Pro), it randomly breaks the Bluetooth connection, which means notifications (and other apps/functions which require a phone connection) stop working, even though my watch still says “Connected via BT”. Reconnecting is a pain because it sometimes takes multiple times (as in closing/reopening the app) to get it working again. Additionally, the app itself is kinda slow and tasks like viewing estimated battery life or browsing for more watch faces/apps often takes a while to load.

Only one problem. I like almost everything about the Samsung watch: small, light, comfortable, with 2 week battery life (a key requirement for me). The app does a good job of supporting it, with one inexplicable flaw. Good Night mode is useful to keep the watch from brightening every time you move your arm at night. But why isn’t it tied to Do Not Disturb mode, which can be set to automatically activate at specified times like overnight? It’s an obvious association, yet you have to turn Good Night mode on and off manually. And if you forget to turn it off before you leave in the morning, it’s almost impossible to adjust in outdoor daylight. Samsung, this should be an easy fix.

Not for iPhone users. I bought Galaxy fit e and attempted to connect with my iPhone 8. After so many attempts, I get no notifications from my phone at all. And the tech support is keep telling me the steps with the wearable app when I can’t even get it for iPhone. It’s a bit annoying that it doesn’t connect to Apple health and you have to download Samsung health app. It does count the activities well but definitely not made for iPhone users. I would recommend a different tracker.

It’s good. I got the Samsung Galaxy Fit 2 for Christmas 2021. There’s only 1 problem. I didn’t have an app to set it up. When I got home, I set it up and it worked… until my watch began bombarding me with notifications of the same set of emails. I had to reset it. It went fine, but I discovered a bug where when I switch apps and switch back, it shows the “Finding the phone…” screen, and I couldn’t close it.

Sleep trends missing. The app doesn’t show the different sleep patterns during the night on an iPhone. It just shows the total amount of sleep. The patterns are shown broken down into heavy, light, REM etc. on my Samsung phone though. To clarify the above, the sleep is shown on the galaxy fit but it doesn’t sync across to the iPhone - all other items do sync

Still cannot sync with weather. Although the app's weather setting is ON (enabled), the watch is unable to sync with it. Also, the weather setting in the app automatically switches OFF (disabled) every 5 minutes. Otherwise a very good app. Please fix this.

Struggles to pair with iPhone 7. Slightly annoying that pairing is so hit and miss otherwise app does a reasonable job. Sleep recording is pointless as Gearfit 2 Pro smart watch battery is almost flat by the time I go to bed and needs to be charged in preparation for next day rather than being further drained whilst being worn in bed. It would probably lise charge completely in the middle of the night and would be hopeless for start of next day. There are power saving options but they need to be invoked too soon and what point is that if lose most of the watch’s functionality. I realise this review is supposed to be about the app but the app is only used to complement the smart watch so the two are inextricably linked.

Can’t connect to Galaxy Fit. This is the second Galaxy Fit I have had that has had issues. The first fit stopped working altogether and now the second fit is connecting to my phone but the app is saying it’s not connected! I’m so frustrated- should have bought an Apple Watch instead... Couldn’t connect to devices. It is a nice watch, but it is not able to connect to my IPad. When I downloaded it on the IPhone, I still couldn’t connect to my watch. The qualities are great, but without connecting to a device, I don’t receive messages or get to use some other apps.

Can't pair because NO option available to turn on Bluetooth sharing. Bought a gear fit 2 pro for my son as birthday gift. It can connect to my S8 but not his ip6s+. After installed this app and pressed “start journey” and chose galaxy gear fit 2 pro, it asked me turn on Bluetooth Sharing in setting. However there's not options available in both app galaxy fit app setting and privacy/Bluetooth sharing settings. Same things happen if we choose gear fit 2. We went to Samsung store and the staff said they can't this and have to wait for update to fix this issue. So he has to use his gear fit 2 pro without pairing his phone until this bug got fixed.

Not bad.. Considering that this app is to cater for people with iPhones who want to use Samsung Gear devices, this app is to put it simply "not bad". It is very basic, but it allows you to download apps and watch faces to your gear. One huge caveat appears to be that you can't quick reply from the Gear Fit 2 Pro on iOS! That's a huge bummer and I hope that Samsung can somehow allow quick replies to happen from the Gear Fit 2 Pro. This app does allow you to unblock apps you have blocked (in terms of notifications on the GF2P) and it has the Find Gear Fit function. Haven't tried the music manager yet. Please somehow build in quick replies on iOS if you can Samsung! Otherwise thanks for the app!

Galaxy Fit. I love my Galaxy Fit, but, all of the sudden, it gets disconnected by itself. It is annoying as but is always charged, near the mobile no home. Any ideas why anyone? Otherwise, it is a very practical , good looking watch to own.

Gear fit 1st Gen. Hello guys I have a Samsung gear fit (the 1st generation) and I have used this for years and it is a great watch but until recently I brought an iPhone and went to download the app for it only to find out you don’t include this in your apps ? So my question is now is my watch no just a brick or what ? I can’t even connect it to my old Samsung s7 as after factory resetting it I lost the app and now it’s not there to download again. There should still be an option for this, you can’t sell something that relies on an app to work then pull the app down because the next 1 / 2 or even 3rd new one has came out “that’s not right”

Battery drain. Last update in april 2019 causes my gear fit 2 pro to drain its battery so fast. From 100% to 40% overnight with the same settings. Used to be 100% to 80%. Pls FIX.

Not bad 3 1/2⭐️. Wish it was able to display only the features you want on the face of the watch. Would really be good if you could answer calls and messages with my iPhone Battery life is only about 2-3 days if you able to delete what you don’t want on the watch or which notification you only wanted on the watch without having to adjust your phone as well. Overall I’d give it 3-4 stars.

Ok but need improvement. The App is very basic and is not as polished like Withings, Fitbits, etc. It needs more improvements and UX. One very disappoint thing is, while the app is not great looking, it also doesn't allow the health info to sync with Apple HealthKit, so users like us stuck with a poorly connected health ecosystem. For example, my GearFit2 tracked steps and elevation, but I cannot combine the data into my Withings app which has my weight, body fat and BPM. That makes Samsung gears less attractive. Samsung, you make great gear, but without good software support and integration with other apps, you are making people staying away from your hardware. I hope Samsung will allow Apple HealthKit integration soon or else I will have to keep using my Apple Watch 2 while I really like the form factor of the GearFit2.

Worst ever!!. whenever my gear lost connection to my iphone, it never reconnects back. Only way to reconnect is delete gear from my phone bluetooth list then do paring again. There is no function to force to reconnect. When it compair to fitbit, it is so bad and never going to recommand gear to anyone else. A smart watch never reconnect automatically? What a joke!! Also ehen tried report the issue to samsung from this app, the submit button wasnt working. Man... hopeless..

Failed update. Yesterday 11-oct 2021 My iPhone 6s+ was working with the app and fit A723 watch 2 days ago, then would not connect? I updated this app and now it connects then disconnects almost immediately and keeps cycling connect disconnects. Mostly is not connected long enough to show battery charge. Does this app require internet access to work, and you decided to disable my watch so I have to buy a new one? Or decided my phone is no longer good enough? Please give me my money back or a new watch. Or fix the app to support the watch again as it was. Iphone is using iOS 14. As I said it WAS working fine a few days ago. Battery is fully charged, and testing done with watch connected to USB charger. You did something to render my watch unusable, so fix it! I just made some changes to test again. I turned off in iPhone app settings for this app - location services, background refresh and mobile data. Wifi is still available I assume. And now it connects and stays connected while using the app! Obviously there is a software bug that needs fixing still. The watch hardware is fine. Why not add a diagnostic test feature to this app so we can check the hardware is ok?

watch faces. to make your watch feel like your own i strongly suggest to add more watch faces or beagle to add tour own photos to create watch faces. i wish that you could select what you would like to be displayed on the main screen, such as time, date steps and calories on one screen rather than scrolling through to view the desired information. overall i think this is a good app besides the lack of watch face selections. i believe all the faces aren’t the most aesthetically pleasing please fix this issue asap ! thank you ☺️

Band does not appear in the app. I have an iPhone 6S with iOS 12.3 and I just bought a new 2019 Galaxy Fit, but when I try to pick my device the only devices in the app are the Galaxy Fit-E, Gear Fit2 Pro and the Gear Fit2. Not compatible with iPhone 12. I am able to connect initially with a full reset of the watch, but if it loses connection either via turning Bluetooth off or walking too far from phone the connection will not reestablish without a full reset of the watch. Not usable, not reliable, highly disappointing.

Bad Bluetooth connectivity. iOS 14.0.1 with a Gear Fit 2. Absolute Bluetooth nightmare. Took forever to connect then it stopped working. I don’t know how many times I had to click “Forget Devise”. I may just have to forget this devise entirely.

Great watch and easy to use. I liked the watch and its easy to use interface. I keep the brightness at 30% to save the battery. It does not record the sleep duration as expected thus one star is taken out. Besides other features, the offline music feature was the driving factor to buy it. By not releasing newer versions of Galaxy Fit 2 Pro Samsung has just made many loyal customers disappointed!!

Great little band. Love how sleek the band is and how simple it was to connect with my phone. Was also impressed i could use it even though I have an iPhone. However attaching it to the charger is difficult and the cord is way too short, and I wish it would allow you to read your messages when it notifies you’ve received one. Overall I recommend.

glitchy, poorly organized, unusable. At first when I bought the galaxy fit it worked okay with the samsung galaxy fit app. the app was not that user friendly and it was confusing why/how you set some things in Samsung health and some in the fit app, and some things were available as settings in both apps so it’s kind of clunky and weird to use. Also it doesn’t quite have all the settings i want. Like no option to completely turn off heart rate monitor. Between this app and Samsung health it’s hard to get a clear handle on what settings you’ve chosen. Anyway, I updated my iphone and now it’s unusable. I spent almost 2 hours with Samsung chat support and they did not resolve issue. Iphone bluetooth settings show the phone is connected. Samsung fit app can’t realize this and keep wanting to scan for the device and flag the problem that my watch isn’t showing up...yet my phone knows it’s already connected. Samsung app cant figure that out, won’t let me past screen telling me my watch is not found. Not much else I can do. Checked with apple, everything in terms of OS and apps are updated. Just doesn’t work. Zero problems connecting any of my other bluetooth devices that don’t depend on Samsung Fit app. Bummer.

Huge problem. Hello Just wanted to tell you that if you get a Galaxy Fit e be prepared to try and get it to work. I can paire it with my iPhone XR but I got stuck on the « connecting to band... » so that’s sucks!!! Constantly disconnects. I have had the Fit2 for three days and have lost connection to my iPhone three times already. It appears the iPhone is not compatible with the Galaxy Fit2. App watch faces not downloading. So I recently downloaded the new version of the gearfit app. Now that I’m trying to download new faces for my watch they are not opening. I click on the face that I want and I get the white circle with blue load line and then it crashes. So I can’t download any faces at all. I have an iPhone 8 and it’s never given me this problem. So for now the app is a zero for me. Hopefully it can be fixed.

Does not work. Been trying to get fit 2 to connect to my iPhone 5 to no avail. According to web site iPhone 5 is supported even App Store says at least the application works with my phone. However just saw someone else’s problem with iPhone 6 and the response was need iPhone 7. What a waste of my time! Need to have accurate information for consumers so they don’t become disgruntled.

Disappointed. Battery life is less than 24 hours. Have it tried all recommendation for extending battery life but to no avail. Was able to set up incoming call notice but then failed to get text messages. Presently able to receive text and email but no longer receiving notice of telephone calls. It shouldn’t be so difficult. They need to provide specific instructions for setting up text, email AND telephone calls on an IPhone

Just BOUGHT this. I have an iPhone 6s Plus. For whatever reason I cannot connect to my galaxy fit to it. I have connected in Bluetooth but it will not show up on the app. I have done everything the suggestions told me to if I ran into and issue and even sent a message to the response team and I have received nothing. I am so upset because Walmart said I cannot return this device due to the pandemic so I just wasted 100 dollars for nothing. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Not great for iPhone. I loved this app when I had a galaxy phone. Everything worked great. But now I have an iPhone x and the app doesn't have nearly as many features, and most of the features it does have, don't work. Most notably, I can no longer control which apps from my phone send notifications to my watch. I can either turn notifications completely off, or they all come on. I love the gear fit 2, but this app is driving me nuts.

Not receiving text notifications. I've been using this app for two weeks now and within the last 24 hours, I stopped receiving text message notifications. I've factory reset the watch a dozen times now. Deleted and re-installed this app. Powered my phone off and on and made sure notifications were authorized. It was working smoothly until now. What gives?

iPhone 12. Keep getting notifications on my phone that Galaxy Galaxy fit has been disconnected. I turned all notifications off but still. Otherwise a solid watch, does a great job in identifying activity and heart rate. Samsung health and apple fitness are not compatible so can’t get my data transferred over.

Won’t connect to iPhone XR. My watch won’t connect to my IPhone XR! I just updated the app and reset my watch and it will not sync to the app. Keeps saying no devices found. I also have already disconnected the Bluetooth and reconnected it and it still won’t connect. It worked just fine with my old iPhone 7. Looks like I will be returning it if the bugs are not fixed.

Not saving my data. Things were ok for the first two days on my IPhone 8 but when I opened the app today it said that all of the previous data was gone and it didn’t have record of any of the previous activity from any day. Everything just vanished. Very disappointing. ***response to developer: I was using just this app, I uninstalled the Samsung health app. I didn’t know they needed to be utilized together.

Freezes up. I love my watch and I mainly use it for the timer and to “start workout” for myself, but there are many times when it just freezes on me. Has a full charge every day so I’m not sure what the problem is.

IOS 15 broke Bluetooth. Worked great with Samsung health until my iPhone got IOS 15 update. Now it cannot maintain connection no matter how many times I reinstall apps or remove and reinitialize Bluetooth. Even if you’ve discontinued the Samsung fit, stores are still selling it and most of us only bought it a year ago. Don’t do this to your customers - fix this bug!

I just updated to the latest apple iOS and now I cannot receive my text messages or the notifications on my gear fit I use this feature all the time It works for all other notifications since the update but text messages do not Could u please help me out Thanks for the help I checked everything that you said and all was turned on Do you have any more suggestions All other notifications are working other than text messages Thanks

Samsung cannot be trusted. As I sit here to Verbalee write these reviews with my Samsung headphones I can tell that the audio cuts in and out they cannot be trusted among other things like the fact that at one given time only one headphone works and you can’t force the other one to work they as a company know this and refuses to make a fix and still sell these expensive headphones #BoycottSamsung

Bring back the- “manage notification”!. I had Gear Fit2Pro, I love it and it is very useful for everything I need at work/home. My watch would vibrate when I received a message which is a great feature. Gear Fit2 Pro are compatible with my iPhone. Samsung upgraded the APP and it took off “Manage Notification” feature and now my watch won’t vibrate when I get text message. This is affecting my daily needs. My watch is set on vibration and I tried everything to get it to vibrate when I get text message but it doesn’t work anymore. Please bring back the feature!

Amazing app. This app gives me access to the tools I need to edit my watch! Also, it changes my wallpaper swiftly. As for the watch, I love the LED screen and features. All and all, this app is worth the highest rating of all.

Never Syncs, constant issues. Waste of money and space. This app constantly has synchronization issues. Even when Bluetooth and all notifications are appearing on the wearable device, the watch does not want to sync. I have weeks of health data unable to sync without pairing to a new device - which deletes said data. Absolutely poor performance and disappointing usability development.

Isn’t compatible with my gear fit. I have the original Gearfit and it worked fine with my Samsung phone but when I changed to my iPhone my watch is no longer compatible. It’s very frustrating. My watch is in great condition and there is no need to buy a new one. I have to charge my Samsung phone just to link my watch to get it to update. And I don’t even used the Samsung.

Battery Problem. The battery life is just only less than 2days, unlike the huawei watch the battery life is more than 6 days.

Give 0 if I could. Very angry with Samsung. It worked good at first but now the data is wrong (climbed 464 floor) which I didn’t. It doesn’t sync so the time is wrong. Then the straps are breaking. Anyone looking to buy go with Apple Watch or Fitbit, which suites you. Now I’m out 80$ for a terrible watch. Very disappointed. I am know buying Apple products all together now but they are a bit more expensive but I think worth it. Also I have the gear fit 2 if that helps

Not compatible with iphone. I think it is a big mistake from samsung to claim compatibility with iphone when it is clearly not compatible. I received a Galaxy fit e as a gift to replace my old fitbit, after several days trying and researching I simply couldn't find a way to pair it with my phone. What I did find was a lot of users having the same issue. If you have an iphone don't buy a samsung band, at least not a fit e, it simply won't work.

i like the app.. I have been a customer for 2 years now. And I absolutely love this watch. I love the fact that’s it’s water proof and more etc.

Notifications issue. I seem to have issues getting notifications from my iPhone to the galaxy fit. Few days it works while many other days it doesn’t. The watch is only few days old and the dealer here reinstalled the software on it .. still have the issues. This is annoying .. able to help ?

Waste of Money. Not worth to buy. It says app is compatible with iPhone till I found out it requires IPhone 7 and latest. I am using iPhone 6 Plus, I’ve deleted and redown- loaded the app several times and still not working. Pretty sure the app is the problem. The developer should mention on the description that this app is only applicable on iPhone 7 and latest model. Wrong information was mentioned the description..

Problem. I got this item primarily to monitor my heart rate. At first it was great but lately if I’m working hard, it will stop on a number and not move. It may say, for instance, 82, when I know that’s not right. And it will just stay there. I’ve tried turning it off and back on, to no avail. Otherwise I like it. But it’s an expensive watch and step counter.

App won’t connect to device. I’ll keep this short and sweet. I have a Gear Fit2 Pro. I have to delete and re-install the app every couple of days for the connection with my phone to work. The watch is a HORRIBLE fitness tracker compared to any of the three I’ve had previously. If the app won’t connect and the watch wont work, I could have pulled my Timex out of the closet from 20 years ago and gotten the same result. Samsung created a great design but totally missed the boat on everything else... both related to the watch and the app.

Notifications. Only problem with it is that it says it connected to my phone but I don’t receive any notifications

UI needs a massive refresh.. The apps interface feels like of 90’s. The UI needs a complete redesign as well as the data and charts and other data related widgets.

Improve pairing with iPhone. I absolutely ADORE my GearFit 2 Pro watch, but I recently switched to iPhone SE and am so upset that I’m now unable to use the quick response messages on my watch. I also hate that I can’t control my apps within the Gear Fit app anymore or create widgets for my calendar. PLEASE improve compatibility with iPhone, because I LOVE MY WATCH and don’t want to get an Apple Watch.

Won’t receive text notifications. My gear fit 2 pro worked great until about a week ago it just stopped alerting me of text messages. I rely on this alert/ability since I climb a lot of ladders and I’m not always able to look at my phone. I’ve tried resetting the watch, deleting the app and reloading everything to no avail.

iPhone compatibility. I have to manually go into this app every time I want weather to on the watch to update. Same can be said for heart rate data in the Samsung health app. Forget integrating anything with Apple health. So disappointed. Oh, and the claim that you can see calories burned right on the watch? Only true for workouts. That was a complete bait and switch. For reference I have the Galaxy Fit2 and an iPhone 12.

Watch. I believe the watch is very useful as I have found use of the measuring steps, telling time, timers, stopwatches, and the volume control/play button. It’s very useful and the watch app is great help with controlling the view. One of the only downsides is that you need to have you phone on and nearby for the weather to sync up. I don’t like that.

Life changing. I have never been a believer in these “fit” watches, but I am now. This one has really helped me get on track, and stay on track with my New Years resolution. I love the reminder features. It tells me when to drink water, wash my hands and breathe. Love it! Highly recommend it.👍🏿

Keeps disconnecting. The app and the watch keep disconnecting even when close to each other. Also the weather keeps turning itself off for no reason and then I can’t get a forecast. It also restarts randomly on its own. Please fix these issues.

Works Great best Sleep Tracker. I have Apple Watch 5 and the sleep tracking software terrible on the new iOS version. So I sleep with my Samsung GearFit 2 watch. It has been more accurate than some of the other iOS sleep tracking apps. Happy!!!

Too many problems need an urgent update. 1 When app is closed no notifications received on the watch, i used to use hawaui band 2 with hawaui app and it works perfectly 2 messages in arabic languages appears inverted 3 cant turn off heart sensor 4 alarm during making calls when i answer it and i can not switch off my this option from the app 5 buy any other smart watch this band is not compatible with ios

New to it. This is my first time using the app and also using the wearable device. I am a very active person when it comes to physical fitness. The app works pretty well but why not put all the functions in one app? Roll all the fit app stuff into the Health app that way users don’t have to bounce between 2. In all it’s a good app.

PLEASE UPDATE IN IPHONE 11 COMPATIBILITY. I’m using iphone 11 and the app does not even show the galaxy fit selection at all. It has only galaxy fit e / galaxy gear 1/ galaxy gear 2. I’ve asked for updates in Samsung community about the app problem but he said i gotta contact to apple directly because they have no responsibility on compatibility to non samsung phone. PLEASE UPDATE ON IPHONE 11. I cannot even start on my galaxy fit and this is v disappointing

A lie. Fit 2 doesnt work with iPhone. I tríed several times. We cant paír the band and the phone. The app doesnt work correctly. It’s not able to allow connection. We can see the Bluetooth notificatión at the begining but the band shows gear and phone icon it sems to be freezed. Moreover the app never shows the New device identity. The process stops and nothing happends, it is a total dissaster.

Not worth the money. I've had mine for 7 months and the battery life is non existent. I have NOTHING turned on. No Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, heart rate etc. Display is set at 2 on a color setting. The battery barely lasts 5 hours. All this great functionality can't be used because of a non existent battery life. I bought it to replace my fitbit and this is sadly worse... And I didn't think that was possible. And this latest update now doesn't allow the Bluetooth to work even if I wanted it too 😡

Error. When I open the Samsung Gear Fit app and press start journey it says unable to connect as your simulator does not support it. I have an iPad 6 running iOS 13.2.1. My gear model is Fit E (but that doesn’t matter because it says before I try to connect the watch) My guess is that it doesn’t work with iOS 13; in that case please update it

Step count off since update. My gear fit watch was right on before I updated my watch and add this app I’m not sure what is going on if it’s the watch or the app or interference between the two but I no longer get an accurate step count in fact it’s about half of what it was 2 days ago. Not sure what to do besides maybe get a Fitbit.

Terrible App. The watch is amazing and that is the reason I gave one star but the app is stupid. When I connected my watch it was not at all connecting so I kept trying and it worked but when I used it the second time while opening the app I was logged out and I am still trying. I did everything from my side. It still isn’t connecting! Terrible experience!

Will give a better eating once I receive help. Please fix..... Over the past few weeks since I’ve gotten my new iPhone SE I’ve had to connect and reconnect my watch no less than 34 times a week and it’s going to be ridiculous, so whatever bug is the problem please fix it ASAP

Unable to find iPhone 6 Plus (IOS 12.4.5). Tried many times and still fail to locate the device! The Galaxy Fit app is no way to find the the galaxy fit device while iPhone Bluetooth app itself can see it. Because the Galaxy Fit app won’t be unable to find the device so I cannot continue to do the pairing and the rest. I guess it doesn’t support iPhone 6 Plus. Where to find the iPhone supported version list?
