Amazing!!!. I’ve honestly never left a review before but I just had to for this amazing app. Not only can you play along to your favorite songs and artists, but you also get to customize and make your own sounds and pedalboards. Before using this app I knew little to none about guitar pedals, but because of this app it’s given me the knowledge as to what pedals I want in the future, thank you!!!

Been looking for this since I was a kid!!. I picked up the electric guitar so I could learn to play all my favorites and sound like the original. I learned a lot of good riffs and intros, but was NEVER happy with how they sounded. Now that I am a middle aged father stuck at home for the current COVID pandemic, I found this little GEM! And for the first time I can play all my old favorites and they sound just right. UNBELIEVABLE!! Thank goodness I never got rid of my gear. 🎼🎧🎸

On the verge of greatness!. This is an awesome app but I find it silly you can’t use your own pedals in a pedal board without publishing them. Not only that but I want to be able to stack pedals so I can have a tone but then add reverb or distortion to the same tone without changing it. It seems like it should be possible. So to summarize I would give 5 stars if these were included. -Adding custom pedals to your pedal board -Stacking Pedals or being able to activate the base pedals also.

How Dare You, Developers. Why on earth would you guys make a totally free app that aids me on my search to find the tones I’ve been looking for, for so long?! And on top of that, you allow me to not only suggest songs for presets, but make my own with a wide selection of amps, cabs, pedals, and microphones! I’m a college student with homework, ya know!! All joking aside, I just absolutely LOVE Tonebridge, and am legitimately trying hard to find anything wrong with it. I suppose that it’s on a device with a touch screen, which might make it harder to control in a live setting? But is that a dealbreaker? Definitely not! You better not be kidding when how you say it’s free, and are determined to keep it that way. I love GarageBand’s guitar features, yet I will admit that I consider this a step up in virtual tone modeling. As a guitar player who doesn’t own any effects pedals (sue me), this app is one of my favorite toys, and love thinking about how it could be used live. Keep doing what you’re doing developers, and please remember all this support you have from the consumers! I send you all virtual hugs.

OMG UPDATE 🤩🎸. This app has been an incredible tool to use over the last few years. I was sad when the updates stopped. The app still worked fine, with a few bugs. But then, as they said, an out of the blue update! Thanks to the developers for hooking us up one last time 🤜🤛 Happy Holidays 🎄☃️🎸

Major issues with Irig2 on iPhone. I downloaded this app. I played quite a number of presets and was astonished by the authenticity of the guitar tones of my favorite artists. I own an Irig2. It works well with other apps such as Amplitude or GarageBand. However, this app has an issue I can’t figure out with Irig2. If I use the Amp output in Irig2 then the processed / effect sound of the guitar is not transmitted, rather only the dry signal. I have to use the headphone output of my Irig2 to get the wet signal and that sounded horrible unless I used the noise gate effect but by doing that my guitar tune lost all sensitivity and it is muzzled. I tired playing with volume and effect levels. No luck. I wish the developers tested and worked out this “compatibility” issue with Irig2. It is a very common and versatile connector due to its compact size. I can’t afford to buy another connector due to cost and size of other makes/models. That would make this app a dream come true.

Love this app. 10/10 but one suggestion. I would recommend every guitarist get this app it’s awesome. Nothing wrong with it but maybe try and add Bluetooth support from iPhone to iRig/similar device. Just a thought due to new iPhones lacking the standard AUX port bar having one of those AUX to Lightning adapters. Great app though like I said. Keep up the good work

Great App!. Of all the Guitar apps that I have used, this one is by far the definitive app. My only complaint is that you build your own preset in the workshop , the only choice for instrument is Electric Guitar and the only choice for suggested pickup is the humbucker bridge. I wish you could also make bass and acoustic presets in the workshop. Otherwise, this app is the best.

Best Guitar App Ever. This is one of the greatest apps I have ever come across. I have been trying to figure out how to get the tone from the Top Gun Anthem for the longest time, and the preset I found on here is absolutely killer. So many other awesome presets that are pretty spot on. Really excellent easy to use interface as well. Can’t say enough good things about this app. Must have for all guitarists, especially for those who can’t afford the crazy nice gear, this app will make you sound so much better.

It was great until the last big update. I’ve been using Tonebridge ever since it came out. I fell in love with it, using it for both my bass and electric guitar. Ever since the last major update, all the presets have LOTS of bass added to them. It’s almost impossible to play my electric guitar with it anymore because of this issue. I hope it gets fixed soon, because I would be glad to use this properly once more.

Good update but restrictive. I love the new workshop option, but I think it’s a crying shame that it’s being made just for already existing songs. You can’t just give us this creative power and say we’re only allowed to publish it for already existing songs. There should be an option to view community made pedals or something similar, to see what people can come up with.

Best sound, beats paid apps all day. Beats AmpliTube (paid for slash and jimi) effects and ToneBridge sounds better. It is amazing because you just choose the song and it works. I use mine on iPhone 8 and stomp I/o Amazing! Only ask would be for expression petal support for Wah and whammy or else this would be the only guitar app I would need. Integration to guitar tabs is icing on the cake!

Just incredible!!! So powerful!. I have been using this for over two years! I can honestly say this is my favorite app! If there was only one way to improve this out further it would be to have the option to create my own presets and put them on the app for everybody else to enjoy! It’s still missing some key classic rock songs that I really would love to have. Not nearly enough Aerosmith Styx or Boston.

IAA and Audiobus a no go!. Great sounding App! Now, if it would just work with Any of my DAWS! I own 7 different ones and so far it won’t work with any of them. In Cubasis the Demo Samples actually Record but me Playing into it does not? I can see no-one addressing this matter or even concerned on the Internet. It sounds Great, but I want to Record with it. Please Fix, or tell what I’m doing wrong. Also does not work with Audiobus. It needs to be an Instrument, not an Effect, I think that might have something to do with it. It shows up but does not connect. I’ve been trying for days now.

Wow. When I started playing guitar I was focused on acoustic which I love but for certain styles and gigs at restraints and such I needed a electric guitar I was very new to the world of electric guitars and my teacher recommended me this app for at home practice and wow as someone who hadn’t even heard of things like this I was blown away with the variety truly incredible app

Great app, more customization would be great. I love this app. Its tones blow all the other modeling softwares (that cos money) out of the water. However, it would be nice to be able to customize the pedal and eq options on the effects. I find myself finding a song preset that is just a tad too trebly or just a bit too much chorus, and the ability to change that would be great. It doesn't have to be right up front, but an option in the corner somewhere would be perfect.

Odd misfires. I couldn’t find a way to ask a question of the developer, so it goes in my review. Generally, I’ve liked this app; getting at least a reasonable approximation of the tone for a song with a single selection saves lots of fiddling with pedal and amp settings for actual practice time. BUT, I’ve had a couple of instances where I want to play along with the song, which I have in my iTunes library, and the app says it’s not there. Also, lately the guitar sounds much sharper and harsher through the app than it used to; maybe my imagination, but thought I’d mention it. At the start, there were times where I might have considered using Tonebridge to play “for real”, but lately the output hasn’t sounded as full as it used to. At least, to me.

Best free app for beginners and pros. This is quite possibly the best app I found, I am able to recreate guitar tones ranging from Red Hot Chili Peppers, all the way to pantera, after the burial, Chelsea grin, Metallica and much more. It’s so versatile and easy to use. The only thing I would change/ add is the ability to record video with this app with my phone, either theres a way and I just don’t know, or I’m just a bit silly, who knows😅and sometimes the volume will go down, but that could just because my interface battery level is going down. I love how this app is free because I don’t have the money to be spending on subscription type apps, and super expensive music gear 🤘Other than those 2 small things, a solid 9/10 app 🤘

It just gets better and better. This may be literally the only app on my phone (aside from default apps and Instagram) which has no in-app purchases. You get everything you see advertised for it, and it's so much fun to be able to create your own pedal boards and even make your own pedals. It's buggy sometimes, tbh, but who cares.

Phenomenal App!. This app is perfect for people like myself who want to get awesome tones but don’t have the money to buy pedals. I use this app daily and I’m extremely pleased with the selection of presets, the ability to see tabs with the tap of a button, I can save my favorites, edit presets how I like them, and even (attempt) to make my own. This app has provided hours of endless fun for me, so for anyone out there who wants to get the most out of their guitar on a budget, get an iRig 2 (or other device like it), and get Tonebridge. I can’t explain how much fun this app is! To the developer, your app is honestly the best thing I’ve gotten since my guitar itself. Without it, I probably wouldn’t play guitar nearly as much or have as much fun without these tones. Thanks so much, keep it up with the improvements!

WOW!! Wonderful app.. Tried a lot of these apps lately. This is by far the best one yet. The sounds are phenomenal as is, but the fact you can edit the sounds to your personal taste makes this great app even greater. Can’t believe this app is free as it sounds so much better than a lot of the paid ones. Again, wow!! Thanks to the developers for making this. You rock. And now, thanks to this app, so do I.

Accessibility.. When I was a lad I had a Rhodes V guitar and two brutal pedals. I tried to jam to the sounds of my idols like Laiho and Eschbach. It took every penny I had in high school to do so. Some of us have been through this. Now, with this app the chances of supporting some musically inclined kid is that much easier. We live in a world where many things are so accessible. But where music prevails, I am at a loss. I hope this app can inspire a becoming artist that plays an INSTRUMENT. Like when music was good. Thanks guys. Finally Working with iOS16!!. Thank you so much to the developers for addressing the problems with iOS16! It must be difficult when Apple throws you a curveball. I’m so grateful to have it working on my phone, and to be able to confidently update my iPad. This app brings tons of joy to people, it’s so much fun to play along with a song and sound like you’re shredding it! Thank you!

The most fantastic effects processor!. They claim it’s no longer under development and I hope they don’t abandon it. This little app is the BEST guitar effects app ever. Not just because its free, but also because the community makes pedals for songs you want and you just plug in, tap, and go! Eric Johnson, Pink Floyd, whatever...just a search and you got your tone and with another tap, the tabs! Other apps and stomp boxes which cost hundreds can’t hold a lighter to ToneBridge. I hope they keep maintenance updates at the very least because it will be sad for the Ultimate Guitar ecosystem if it quits working.

Fix IOS 16 and IPhone 14 pro max issue. Purchased the new phone and after hooking up my guitar like I always do to practice I was getting no sound coming through the amp. I use your app to use Tonebridge and play along backing tracks and I have completely lost the ability to do that with the new phone. Made sure there were no connectivity issues as I was getting sound when I didn’t run it through Tonebridge but when I put the tone on I get nothing. Please fix asap I love you guys!

Best Guitar App available. I’ve been using this app for years. I love all the presets and everything available that comes with the app. I’ve only ever had once issue and that is when I update to IOS16. Since then the app won’t recognize that the guitar is plugged in. I’ve sent word to the developers but it’s only been 24 hours. Not enough time yet for them to address this issue.

Cool app, garbage presets, bad purchase. Unless you want to waste all your practice time mucking through song after song that has 2 chords and sounds nothing like what you want to play. Stay way away. Select a Neil Young Song, you get the Beatles. Select 10 other songs and they are the same 3 chords with the same setting. Yes, the top 20 guitar songs are fairly good, some great. But 90% of the sample amp patches are garbage chords with nothing even remotely close to original sound. Unless you just want to create your own, which it does well, or want a very limited number of accurate patches, pass this by. Developers- go through the stacks of uploaded garbage and delete the crap. Check an upload before posting, or add a report garbage option that is actually monitored, and I’ll gladly give this app the 5 stars it probably deserves. But right now it’s just a frustrating time drain. You can only play Smoke on the Water or Sweet Child of Mine so many times. Total crapshoot beyond that. Even trying to listen to the original song data base is messed up. Neil Young gave me CCR. Clapton gave me Metallica. Lot of holes to ‘patch’. You got my money on a promise that wasn’t real. I’ll reload it whenever I see an update, but as of now, I’ll make space for BiasFX for a test.

Incredible!. This app is absolutely outstanding. I use it with an iRig for playing around with my cigar box guitars. When you click on the catalog icon you can search from hundreds of artists to emulate their sound settings. Then you can go through a list of their songs to find exactly the sound you are looking for. The effects are perfect. For example, I searched Neil Young, then Cinnamon Girl and was blown away by how exact the sound was. This is my favorite app of all time. Well done!

Nice having effects for practice. Nice having the guitar effects and rigs for practice set up. Glad that the app is free for users to share rig set ups with other users and not try to profit off user to user content. My main complaint however is Tabs and Tonebridge don’t work together like they used to. If I have a song selected in Tonebridge and hit “open tabs”, nothing happens. My iPad or iPhone just open “Tabs” and everything just stays on whatever screen I was already on in “Tabs” when it used to open the tabs for whatever pedal I selected in “Tonebridge”. The same goes for “Tabs”. If in the Tabs app, I hit “Tonebridge” which is an option on the Official tab of a song, I get a small screen within the app that shows most of what “Tonebridge” will show yet nothing happens. Effects don’t change at all in “Tonebridge” and I have to change effects manually by opening “Tonebridge” and search and select that pedal for the song manually. In short, the two apps don’t communicate with each other at all. For “Tabs”, I’m paying for the Pro and Official tabs annually so I feel this small feature should work seamlessly.

100% Satisfied. This app is great! I always had trouble finding the right sound for my guitar when playing a song. With this app you can play a song with the exact sound it uses. Hopefully later on when they update the app it comes with Spanish songs too but it’s still great.

Winning App. This is hands down one of the best apps for guitarist, especially for beginners. There’s people out there who have taken the time to create the tones of some of your favorite artists to perfection. This helps tremendously when learning new styles and covers. Being able to play a song in its original tone has helped me learn songs without even looking for a tab. It makes that much of a difference. I want to recommend to people who have had latency issues with Bluetooth on ios to invest in the camera connection kit and an audio interface. I use my audio interface with my ipad or iphone using this kit. Specifically a Scarlett 2i4 version 2. I have had zero issues connecting and have only had a few annoying app crashes which I’m sure will only get better with time. Using an interface allows me to play through my monitors and a next to nothing latency. The most frustrating thing in the world in music is latency and timing, this fixed that issue for me. Also, the ability to use this app in garage band is incredibly useful. I use a clean amp setting in garage band and use Tonebridge to cover the rest. It sounds very impressive. To call this app useful and fun would be an understatement. AAA App for Guitarists, definitely a must have in your app collection. Very easy to use, I absolutely love it. 🙌

Please fix it with an update.. First, I’ve been using this app for a long time now and i can say that is one of the greatest app that’s free on this category. I really enjoy using my guitar with this app and my Irig2 so I can fully concentrate on what I’m playing, but lately I’ve been having issues with the app. After the latest update was released, the app started crashing every time I tried to open it, yet before I updated the app it was working completely fine. I just want to ask the developers if they could release a new update soon to fix this problem, i really like this app, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to use it for than a month now because of the app crashes. I hope they do something about it soon because this app is great, will rate higher when a solution happens.

5 stars. Ok so I have been using this app for awhile and I got to say this app is awesome!! What this app is, is u can play your favorite songs on the guitar and u can use the same amps the guitarist used for the song. Now there are ones that work great but some does not, which really need to be worked on. Overall I give this app 5 stars!!!

Great for guitaris. This app is amazing. I’m running it off my iPhone with an iRig 2 HD. I love searching out songs and getting the pedal that gives the best recreations of the bands sound. The only reason I haven’t given this 5 stars is because it’s no longer supported. The Bluetooth pedal mapping is all jacked up. You can’t even select what function you are programming to; without it selecting random other functions on your phone.

Don’t guilt me. I would have not even written this review but I just had to say something. I love this app and would have given it 5 stars but here’s the reason why I didn’t. I don’t need a push notification assuming that I haven’t played my guitar in a while and that I should just dust it off and play it a bit. I play my guitar every day. I just “choose” not to use your app to play through it. I think your AI/ML team and developers may need to rethink this.

Tone bridge not recognizing my I rig 2. I’ve gone to five different help pages online and nothing seems to help. I’ve used this app before years ago but now when I try and plug in my I rig it doesn’t recognize it. When I plug everything in sound comes from my phone and to my amp just fine, but it doesn’t recognize my guitar being plugged into it. I’ve fiddled with it for days now and nothings working. I even tried buying a new I rig because I thought maybe my old one was broken, but that didn’t change anything Help please

Better tones than most physical pedals ive used. Ive used many pedals and amps through my time as a guitarist (going on 7 years) and i just recently started using this app instead of plugging my guitar into physical pedals and amps. The sound is the cleanest ive heard and it is so easy to create your own pedals. I wouldn’t recommend any other app to rock out and headbang!

Incredible! A++. The days of spending countless hours trying to recreate your favorite guitar players tones are over! Pick your favorite artist(s) or favorite song(s), plug in your axe and turn on the pedal! •SIMPLICITY• You can adjust the settings on the boxes too if you want, but 99% of the time, it is the exact tone from the original song. I’ve been dying for something like this! It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an expert guitar player, this is a MUST HAVE application! 🎸 Keep Rockin’

Amazing!! How is this fee?. The authenticity of these tones are amazing. The first time I tried it I ended up playing around with it for around three hours. The endless library of tones is astonishing and most of them are dead on the original tone. I’ve tried to reproduce many of these tones with multi effects pedal setting but couldn’t get anywhere near as accurate as this app. The only thing I can’t figure out is how they can make it free. Unless maybe they’re using this app to re-promote these classic songs, because it does just that.

Love at first strum. Now with AUV3 and crunchy electrolytes! 100% free for use jamming and recording on your axe. Integrates fairly easily with GarageBand and most other DAWs. Scroll through thousands of (successful and less successful) attempts at recreating tones by your favorite axe wielders. Users develop sounds you can play with simulated amps, cabs, microphone placement, stomp boxes, processing units, you name it. You are also able to experiment to your heart’s content and submit content for the rest of the world to enjoy or edit those presets and make em ur own. Try this before you buy expensive packages from other companies. I sound like a commercial but I really really love this product. Thanks, devs, whoever you are. Rock on.

Pretty stinking good.. I wrote a 1 star review that somehow disappeared. This is an UPDATE to that. This is really a 4.5 star review. My original review should be disregarded if it ever shows up as I had a mixer issue at the time. The tones I can get out of this are pretty dang good and I’m a tone snob. A lot of options. More than you think. 100% free. The only issue is the stand alone version of this app only sees ch 1 and my interface has a fixed mic input for ch 1 and instrument input fixed to ch 2. Therefore my interface only works with this app when used in AUv3 mode in a DAW.

No Longer Working Correctly. Ever since I updated to iOS 16 once I’ve plugged in the app forever crackles and no effects work. I upgraded iPhones to see if it would fix but nope does not work on either iphone14 or 12. I have found out unplugging and replugging my phone once or a few times will makes the effects work but it didn’t fix the crackling nor have I ever found a solution after many troubleshooting attempts. I’ll leave 3 stars because it’s a great app that’s free but this many months in this unusable state without any fixes drops what would be 4-5 stars.

Out of the park on the last update! Tweakable amp, effect and mic settings!. This last update finally took the app to a different level with the ability to tweak amps, effects and mic settings. The tones sound spot on and now with a ton of songs to choose from, there is something for everybody. The Mesa Mklll is my favorite along with the auto wah. What a phenomenal way to practice and record now with IAA integration. My only suggestion is to give us the ability to mix and match amp, effects etc. Otherwise this is top notch!

Very cool. Very useful and good sounding app. I like to discover in Tonewizard how the sounds are actually being made with Ampkit. I always liked that app and think it sounds great. Nice to see and hear how Tonebrdige uses the Ampkit engine. I signed up for the Tabs app too since these guys are doing a great job. Only wish that when i click the guitar tabs button it would also open the selected song in Tabs. It just takes me to the home screen where i need to manually search for the tabs myself... not sure if this was intended this way or just a bug.

Noise Detect. My device iphone 12 pro and iphone 10 has been upgraded ios version 16.1.1 since in this version the tonebridge is being detected noise on my headphone. So please counter check for your app tonebridge and if it need update as soon as possible. Thanks you and we are waiting you.

Not work correctly on iOS 16. Your application does not work correctly on iOS16. It turns on, sees iRig, but on the icon where you can see how the guitar cable is connected, nothing happens and there is no sound. Please update the program so that it can function under iOS 16, as the program functions correctly under iOS15.7.

BEST APP WVER. Ok so im broker than that one phone in your closet so i mean FREE PEDALS, cmon dawg i would rather buy 30$ in gear to hook it up to my phone for unlimited pedals then spend 100$ ON A SINGLE PEDAL!!!!!!! Look if your broke like me then just save up 30 bucks to get some pedals. It will be the best purchase of your life(no guarantees) so just get the app buy an irig and some headphones and if you have an iphone 7 or above the get the adapter and your set. Its that simple

Phenomenal free app. I would give it 5 stars if I got an answer from their support. I know it’s free but…….I’m a wannabe guitarist having invested a few hundred $$$ in name brand effects processors. Then I found this app. Having gone thru a small number of the presets the patches I’ve tried sound amazing. Tones for the guitar are what I look for to inspire me and I’ve found more here than in the hardware that I’ve purchased. Very enjoyable app and that it’s free. Great job on some great sounding presets. It’s supposed to work on the Mac as an AU but I can’t get it to work. My only complaint.

Customizers beware. While this app has some great tones and flexibility, it is severely lacking in support and user experience. For anyone that uses this app on more than one device, pedalboards will sync using your UG account, but any customizations you’ve done to any presets on said boards WILL NOT. Secondly, “workshop” pedals do not sync across devices at all. What?!?! Third, you can’t put workshop pedals on a pedalboard. Again, mind = blown. Fourth, there are a bunch of really AWFUL presets that have been published. People with terrible ears get to a tone and publish it first and the rest of us are stuck with yuck. Often it’s not just bad sounding, it’s not even close to the right gear. When someone is a known Marshall user, bad-ears-guy puts a Pevey on it because he thinks it sounds right. Umm. No. All of this combines to make truly awful user experience. Attempting to put even the right gear on an already-published preset results in a “friendly” message saying, “hey, someone already published that tone. How about you do one that isn’t? K, thx.” Again, ummm... NO! We should be able to submit “better” versions. At the very least, being able to use workshop presets on pedalboards is a must-have. Otherwise, I might as well not use this app. And that’s a huge shame, because it’s otherwise fairly intuitive and easy to use. Devs. Read and learn.

Speechless. Okay so I never write reviews, haven’t done so in probably 4 years but if you are a guitar player and you are trying to match the tone of your favorite artist then this app is for you. This app has so many pedals ranging from Johnny cash and Elvis to Avenged sevenfold and tool. Name a band and they have it. If you are a guitar player and don’t have this app, what are you doing!? Get it now!

Cubasis 3 at the moment. Presently any project I load with this au on a channel results in a plugin that never loads. The wheel is spinning but Tonebridge is going nowhere. Great plugin though.

iOS 16 - sound issues. I just updated to iOS 16 and am having terrible issues with the sound. Really bad crackling sound. I adjusted noise gate but that had no effect on the crackling. I use another guitar effects app and it’s fine after updating to iOS 16. What to do about Tonebridge?? I updated the Tonebridge app too but that didn’t help either. The app is unusable with the crackling sound. Definitely an iOS 16 problem. I used iOS 15 on a friend’s iPad with Tonebridge , no crackling. I shouldn’t have updated to 16… Oh well, I’ll have to put up with the crackling until a solution is provided

Not Happening. Recently upgraded to iPhone 7 plus, since doing this app is not working and just freezes constantly even after reinstalling app repeatedly 😖

You ruined it!. Completely disabled the app unless you pay for it! Why?!? I’ve been using this app religiously for years and was a massive fan. Bad move guys :(

Tone bridge was working on my tabs but all of a sudden has stopped, don’t know what’s wrong. Don’t know what to do to fix it

Truly amazing. The tones available on this app are so good and it is so easy to use. The cross functionality with ultimate guitar tabs app is also a bonus. Really don’t have any complaints whatsoever, I wish every app was this good! Seriously great job to the devs

The best amp sim around.. The absolute best amp simulator out there. But please make it inter-app compatible with GarageBand, not audio unit. Update: Thanks to the developer response, the app is running great in GarageBand now.

A very good free tone tool. An excellent time saver for dialling in the right tone for that cover song you are learning. Really easy to use, fantastic that it's free too. Be awesome when it's available for desktop OS.

Best amp sim plugin available for getting ready to use tones right away. I have all the big name big $$ guitar amp sim apps and this is still my favourite go to app for getting great tones with minimal fuss. The integration with UG is awesome too. Job well done

Its good but can be informative. Its really nice that you can get a specific song sound. But whats really important is if a guitarist can know which kind of effects were used (just a hint) without breaking any patent law or something. So if you are inspired by the sound, you can try and set up a similar sound for yourself.

Questions. Will this app work with a digital modeling amp like a VT40x which uses a similar app by vox ?

Awesome app!!. This apps great. It takes a lot of guess work out of adjusting eq etc to get similar tones to your fave artists.. Now they just need to do the same for vocal effects and I won’t need most of my plugins for GarageBand

amazing. Absolutely amazing app best app of ever downloaded I have and have had heaps of different if not all different guitar affect plug-ins amplifier simulators. This is awesome app. get to play the song the way the song sounds and can’t recommend it enough.

Can’t believe how good this is - and free?. I keep wondering if there’s a catch. This is just so good - so many sounds that make my Tele sound exactly like the sample clips. So easy to use. Such a slick looking app. Thanks!

Has potential. I’ve had this app for a couple of years. When I first started using it I thought is was great. I went away from guitar for a while then just recently picked it up again and started to use the app and this time back it has been very painful to use. It still has great functionality and I can see it has made a few improvements since I last used it but as soon as I start playing my guitar with it the app shuts down consistently. It’s so frustrating. I’d love to give this app a better rating but until they fix it I won’t be using it

Still bugged. Fixed the iOS 16 bug but there is still a constant buzzing sound everytime you play through the app that wasn’t there before kind of a bummer :(

Why disconnect my Bluetooth earphones?. Every time tonebridge is on, either standalone or via ultimate guitar, my Bluetooth earphones just dropped!

I hate it. whenever I use this god damn app it destroys my eardrums. The second I plug my guitar into my phone and select a pedal and try to play I hear nothing but an ear piercing screech. I’ve installed and reinstalled the app countless times but I’ve had enough of it.

Great app. Got into guitar about a year ago and came across this app about a week ago. Great for people who want to mimic guitar affects and guitarists specific sounds for repetitively cheap or make your own presets.

Amazing gear. I just put it in front of my pedal board and now I have so many sounds I never knew I could have. Very fun.

One thing needed. Needs Google Play Music compatibility

Horrible latency. Tried with an old iRig and a new Line 6 SonicPortVX (both of which I get no latency issues when running Bias) on an iPhone 6S, no other apps running. If you like playing fast, this is NOT the app for you.

Great app!. I use this app with my iPad Air 2 and my iRig Pro duo, sound really good, the Only negative point, i notice a little bit of latency on some patch. There is a way to solve that? Thanks!

Best FREE guitar effects app for iPad!. The quality of the guitar tones is fantastic for a free app. There are better apps for quality guitar tones in the App Store, but none of them are free. If money is an issue for you, this app is a fantastic runner up. One thing that is unique to this app is the substantial catalog of presets, which are sorted by artist name and song title. This is hand down the best choice for beginners and is a good alternative for intermediate players on a tight budget. My only real criticism is that I’ve come across a couple artist tones that are missing crucial elements. I’ll be checking on this app periodically to see what the future holds for it. The creators are on to something for sure!

Doesn’t support 2nd input on my audio interface. Useless to me. I need to plug my guitar into input 2 of my Focusrite, but the app provides no way to select inputs. Google shows others have reported the same problem. Developer said would be in a future release, but if it’s there, I certainly couldn’t find it. Too bad…seems to be a good app crippled by a trivial feature that similar apps support as a matter of course.

Fantastic Team at UG. I love this app. Being able to plug my guitar in and get relatively any sound I want is amazing. Additionally, there was a tone I really wanted and they ended up adding it a week or two later due to my request. This is the main reason I'm writing this review. ToneBridge makes playing guitar just "that much" more fun. Awesome job UG, you guys rock \m/.

Way too much feedback. No matter what combination of headphones or speaker or guitar cables or guitars I try I always get an unplayable amount of feedback when I am not hitting a note. I am using an iRig original and have no problems with it in other apps like garage band or amplitube. The tones sound great but the amount of feedback makes it unusable

Useless. Essentially, the effects choices are just wrong . No pitch shifter in Radiohead‘a Just, No tremolo in Link Wray’s Rumble. Come on.

Can not publish present. The tone sounds realistic and amazing... I’ve been polishing my presents for a long time so it’s extremely frustrating when I found out the app stops running every time I publish my present. Can anyone fix this?

Don’t like auto sound adjustment. It’s a great app although I’m constantly fighting the volume to keep my sound up. When I’m trying to play the volume just goes down by itself and I cannot hear myself and the sound guy constantly has to increase gain, and I have to constantly re increase volume. This is pretty disheartening as I enjoy the app but this volume issue is almost a deal breaker. Please make it atleast an option in settings to disable auto volume control.

Wow. This app is really something, taking into consideration it is completely free. The tones that are good, are great. Some of them aren't good, but I'm sure that will correct with time. One amazing thing about this app is its compatibility with GarageBand. You can't really ask for more in a free app. I'm just hoping for more presets in the future as well as more accurate ones.

Good free app!. I have a Old Irig, the original one working great with Amplitube or Garage Band but this app have A LOT of feedback make it unusable. The clean patchs sounding very good but a distorb one feedback/larsen is horrible. Try many tricks but no success. Just cut a lot gain or max the noise gate work but the sound became holy scrap. Contact support for help but any news from them after 5 days. Update: i Have a Respond from devellopper so it's right, i try lower Ipad volume and that working. Thanks to support. Good App.

Great. A hell lot of pre made tone which if you are not satisfied you can edit and creat your own tones and publish them you can also make pedalboards

Idk if it’s apple or Tonebridge. Ever since I’ve updated my device to iOS 16 I can no longer connect my guitar to the app, my IRIG works fine on my friends phone but doesn’t work on mine, hopefully this will get fixed soon

Wow great app!. As soon as I tried it, I was astounded. So much so that I ditched AmpKit. It's simple to use and the results are great. For a beginner, it's the "go to" app to use. I use it with the Apogee Jam interface with no issue. Great job!

More NOFX/Punk Bass Tones. I’m going to start by saying I LOVE this app and get excited anytime there is a new update! It’s always fun to see what the Dev’s have added in or tweaked. Now my only gripe is there aren’t too many punk bass tones. Sure there are some but I think there could be more. Other than that I love it! Thanks guys and girls!

I really like using this app on my computer, but I can’t use it in my phone. I can connect my guitar to the phone through garageband. i have a scarlett solo and it works just fine, but the only problem is it only accepts my guitar as “input 2”. tonebridge only allows guitar from input 1 and so i cant play anything when connecting it. please fix :)

Tonebridge serious problems in iPad ios 16. I use iRigHD2 and whenever I use Tonebridge with GarageBand in ios 16 I get sound out of one earphone only with static. I loved Tonebridge until now. Can you let me know if a fix is coming?. Thank you

Unexpected. Its a blast. I play every weekend and rehearse through the week. Just came across this earlier today. Now i don't have to grab my pedalboard when im learning a new song. I can loop it and go at it, either lead runs or melodic interlacing. Hours of fun.

almost perfect. i love this app i have no complaints besides when i try to use the feature where u can play songs from apple music in the app, whatever song i play first will become the maximum duration for every other effect it’s very annoying like for example let’s say i want to play a song that’s 5 minutes if i play a song that’s 3 minutes before that’s all i can listen to so if i skip to the end of the song it’ll just repeat that section at the 3 minute mark instead of playing the actual rest of the song

Great, but disappointing. I love this app so much, but it’s preset request page is dead. There aren’t any new requests being made. The last time a pedal requested was made on the page, was 3 weeks ago, and before that, months. It’s so annoying that I can’t get my Bulls on Parade wah pedal, or my Lateralus delay intro pedal :(

Would’ve paid for this app but it’s free!?!?. For $40 I picked up an iRig 2 and now have access to hundreds of not thousands of pedals that would’ve cost $40 each a decade ago. Runs great on my phone and iPad - I’m still kinda mind blown....

So Many Effects, So Little Time. When you finally get time to Jam you don’t have time to break out all of your pedals and try to find your perfect sound. No Time is the perfect time to break out Tonebridge

“Open Tab” button never works. I’ve used this app for about a year and all the “open tab” button does is open ultimate guitar’s other app. It doesn’t bring up the actual tab. Ever. The app is amazing, but it’s very annoying that this button has never been fixed. It’s a great idea, it just doesn’t work for me at all. Leaving a review in hopes the devs see it.

Recording. I never do this but I love the app, it absolutely blew me away when I started it up, but the only thing it’s missing for me is a way to record in the app, for me that would make it perfect

Great app but missing a key feature. I love this app a lot but it’s missing the one and only feature I want. Bluetooth compatibility. I’ve always wanted to just play through my phone connected to a loud speaker and just play. The phone is way to quiet in many situations and it’s just plain not loud. Please add a Bluetooth option.

Almost perfect. One feature that many users could benefit from would be to allow 180 degree rotation ( especially on phones). My setup uses an iPhone on a tilted wireless charger. So the port is unusable in the ‘normal’ orientation.

Must have!!!. I LOVE THIS APP!!!!! Tons of amazing presets available at my fingertips. It's really nice if you want to take a break and jam on some fun presets or if you're trying to find a sound... it's already there so you don't lose creativity in the process. It's so much fun! A+

Horrible sound quality and no ability to Sign In with Apple. Some of these patches are embarrassing. None of them sound the way they do in the demo. It is ridiculous how much info you collect and you don’t support Sign In with Apple even though it’s an option on your app when you choose to login. What a joke! I’ll stick with good apps like form IK multimedia and credible app developers

High Pitched Feedback. This app is amazing but whenever the strings are resting there is an extremely loud and high pitched screech playing through the speakers. I check my physical connections (I use an iRig as suggested) and they’re all solid. Any help would be fantastic because this app is awesome otherwise

Needs more artists and more songs. Theres nothing wrong with this app it’s really amazing the only problem is that it doesn’t have a lot of newer artist or their song effects and every time I click on the preview sounds it say coming soon for almost everything please fix update this this is such a great app

Two keys up. It’s a good app. It’s just that it is two keys tuned up for iPod. I got the device for it and it works. It’s just that the feedback is very sensitive and it’s not super realistic. In my guitar lessons, my teacher sometimes brings in his pedals and it doesn’t give me feedback. Overall, I think it’s a good app. It’s just weird for iPod. Plzzz fix it.

Won't work with GarageBand. I can get it to output the guitar signal and pedals are beautiful but, when I put it through GarageBand, following all the directions and trying a few different things, it sounds garbled and digitized, terrible. Still tying to fix this. Any help?

Is this actually real!?. Seriously- this is amazing. I plug in, pick a song, select the pedal, and become part of the track. I have discovered a few pedals that make it sound like I’m actually on the track while playing along!

Amazing app!. Amazing all around and always has been! but seems to be an issue with IOS 16. After the update my iRig is not recognized through this app but is through others.

Mind Blown. This is one of the most incredible apps I’ve ever used on an iPhone, period. With my iRig HD 2, some headphones and/or a portable speaker, I have every effect I could ever want at my fingertips - literally. This is truly a gift to all of us.

Some details about the app issue on iOS 16.. The sound issue doesn’t seem to present itself when launch from ultimate guitar tabs app which has Tonebridge integration. When the same effect is used in Tonebridge natively the issue appears.

But can it Bass. As a lonely bass player when I'm not either crying or being inaudible, I find myself wondering one thing.....can this Tonebridge app bass? This is vital info that I must acquire before I can give this app the 5 star rating it deserves.

Unbelievable. This couldn’t even been dreamed about in the 80-90’ I would cost me a fortune to have all these tones and the know how to set them up and the tab ! It does everything but play it for you oh ya it does do that to. Incredible!!

Kills iPhone Battery. Wondering why my iPhone battery life has been so poor lately. Looked at the battery usage and saw Tonebridge was the second biggest power drain and has been running in the background for 14 hours. Background App Refresh is disabled. I finally just deleted the app.

Strong feedback. This app is fantastic for people looking to get great tones from some of their favorite songs. However I've noticed (and it may just be an issue on my end) that I get really strong feedback when using some of the tones. Otherwise fantastic app

Really, Outrageously Good!. I have several amp apps, I find myself using Tonebridge more than the others combined. I am particularly enamored with the “ Colonel Plexi 50 “ amp which is outstanding. The pedal selection, cabinet selections and mic selections are truly top notch. I would pay for add- ons, I would pay for Tonebridge.

Love it. I really enjoy the notification I get once in blue moon reminding me to “dust off my guitar” oh and the app is stellar any song you can think off tone bridge has a huge sounding tone for ya to mimic your favorite guitar hero

Ehh. I like the idea of the app a lot. I don’t know if it’s my irig or not but any distortion has this high pitch squeal as soon as I turn the pedal on. I turn to amp effect down a tad and it goes away until I mute again. I also only get close to the sound I like. I play a lot of ffdp and disturbed so I like to experiment with he app instead of buying a 400 dollar pre amp. Great idea but I just can’t get it to work properly.

One of the Best Sound Engines - AmpKit+. I own the original version of this by Agile Partners, AmpKit+. It was not cheap when purchased with all the add-ons. I still use it to this day but it has been abandoned by Agile for years. A version in AUv3 would be great and this is almost it except for the poor local saving and recalling of your own setups. Add local set up search and save please. I am just grateful someone is keeping this app alive, it really is among the absolute best. And seriously, at this price it’s a “steal.” PS I suppose adding local back up of your own presets would impinge upon your on-line interactivity. But it sure would be appreciated.

Absolutely Perfect!. Wow, I can not believe all the time I have wasted fooling around with “that other app” when Tonebridge was available. Plug and play sound at my fingertips makes it so much more fun to learn songs when the sound is right. Works great with my IRig2 and my IPad. Tone bridge and Ultimate Guitar is the best combo ever! So useful omg. I use it with the Irig 2 and wow not only do I not disturb the neighbors because of the headphone jack but the effects can come from almost any song you want to cover (never write reviews but this is just really good so here I am)

Excellent although the presets need tweaking. The presets I found are not all that great. They all needed tweaking but there are plenty of effects and they sound fantastic. One big plus is that I can control the volume of the whole preset to adjust it to music on another app.

Incredible hidden gem for any guitar player. Thank you to the devs for making such a great tool. Guitar effect apps are normally a confusing world of in app purchases. Even after buying effects you spend hours focusing on settings instead of playing. This app gives you a solid “close enough” sound that encourages you to play instead of doing guitar IT. I had several months of buzzing sounds coming from the app when using an Apogee Jam and an iPad but it seems to be fixed after the latest update. Thank you!

Everything's wonderful! Except.... Everything about this app is great besides 2 problems I seem to have on iPad. 1: when I try to publish a sound, the app instantly crashes. 2: more of a suggestion than a problem, but I feel the workspace pedals should be able to be added to a pedalboard without them being published.

Excellent app. I got an iRig HD and that is to tight integration with apple music can play along to all my favorite songs through the app. Also has links to open the tab. Anyhow good app not sure how it's free but thank you for making it!

Amazing. Was slightly disappointed with the tablature app because of all the pay walls, however this right here is amazing. So many unique effects right in my own guitar. Very well done.

Can almost replace AmpliTube.. I love the tones I get with this. Unfortunately, it isn’t functional with many midi controllers. Can only switch between pedals with one button. Also, isn’t compatible with a volume pedal. Would be 5 stars if I could assign more controls. Excellent app otherwise.

Pure Enjoyment. The most fun I have had with any app of any kind—even more than any game. Connected my guitar with my iRig 2 and then went down a rabbit hole of getting my guitar to sound exactly like every iconic song I could think of. Hours went by like minutes. Great job developers!

Great but.... App is great to get cool tones, but in order to sound like it's preview you have to give it volume and effect boost and I have a horrible headache from the feedback, please fix because the tone does not sound like the preview, thanks.

Not sure what happened…. I can hear everything through this using my iRig2, EXCEPT for my guitar playing. For example, I can hear myself typing this through my headphones while plugged into my iRig and I can also hear the “preview effect” in Tonebridge, but when I strum my guitar, nothing. Idk what happened because it was working fine. Not sure if it’s the rig or the app. 😞

This Is The One. These guys really have got their spit together and they are on a roll. Mind blowing. Together with the tabs app and now your sound library this just knocks it out of the park. Greatest APP to date!. This app is definitely my favorite app! Got me to pick up the Ax again, after 5 1/2 years! It’s all coming back now. All 43 years worth! That’s just how long I’ve been playing off & on! Great lessons & Teachers! Makes it a lot easier! I just wish that it was available back in 1975!

Do not update to iOS 16!. This is my favorite Tone App., but since I upgraded to IOS 16 on my iPhone it doesn’t work with my jamstick anymore. App needs to be updated to work with my system now. Here’s hoping one is coming soon

Please fix keyboard bug!. Love the app! With the new iOS versions I can not search for anything as the keyboard hides as soon as you tap the search button or tap into the search field. Help!!!
