Fix the glitch. for the past couple days the bus won’t load the real-time arrivals and now the bus that a catch every morning isn’t showing up and i can’t see why. there was no warning or report that the bus times we’re going to change now i have to get on another bus and transfer before i can’t get to the transit center to then transfer on others buses just so i can get to school.

QUESTION/FEEDBACK. Yes this app has issues but its hard to predict real time arrivals when not all buses have gps. I’ve grown to understand that buses can be late due to unexpected traffic and such but I just want to know how to unfavorite my stops. I have a long list of favorites and want to narrow it down to how many times I need to go to that stop. It would also help to be able to rename my favorite stops so I can organize it better and not get so confused.

Only partially useful. It is very difficult if not impossible to plan travel requiring multiple bus lines!!

One star. There were times when DaBus app showed no connection or tracker to all the buses. Some times they were inaccurate which is to me alright because it’s still new technology but like come on if I’m expecting a bus it shouldn’t disappear when I check again! The only thing that pisses me off in this app are that red mark symbol on the bus which signifies no connection and the lack of connectivity to buses.

Not user friendly. It seems to have gotten worse, so many issues with the app disappearing when searching a route. Need to seriously redesign the functions. Very limited, better to use google maps

Eh. Would be amazing if I could see where my bus is in real time because most of the time it’s super late and I can’t tell whether or not I’ve missed it and end up taking an Uber to get to work on time just to see it finally pull up as I’m climbing into the car. This app also does not list all bus stops.

Terrible. Times are never correct. Buses will just randomly go off the GPS. Times then readjust. If you have some place to be, place your trust elsewhere. Been waiting at this stop for the last 30 minutes with no buses despite the supposedly coming every ten minutes....

Da bus 2 is straight trash. I had the original Da Bus app before and granted it had its issues but now trying to find a bus stop to a part of the island or to a different city without knowing the rout me number or being able to select a bus stop to where you’re trying to go is freaking irraz and annoying. The first app was way more useful and easier to use. So I’m giving this version of this app 1 Star, please listen to the consumers and users of the app and try to make this easier to use and easier to navigate and get to where we need.

Horrible timing. If I could give this app half a stat review or none I would. I’ve been catching the bus for the past several years of my life now. And I swear the times could be even further off from the actual arrival time. It’s be okay if it was 1-3 minutes off but im talking 5-15 minutes off some times even more. I wish the time arrivals were better. It’s causes me to be late for my get togethers on several occasions and I’m usually one that likes to arrive early.

Not User Friendly and Doesn’t Consistently Work. This app has made it easier displaying the times and locations of the buses but it’s a hassle to use. It’s difficult to find the bus stops and then to find the line you want to take it takes minutes. Many parts of the app are glitchy and kick you out of the app when you try to click on it.

Not always functioning. It’s a lifesaver don’t get me wrong it really is! But this app is always lagging out or it stops working quite a lot and THAT can be an issue especially when it’s night time and you’re just trying to get home.. I live on the west side and when I get off my shift and it’s time to head home, I’ll check the app and behold! Not working.. no times or routes at all being shown. Now that’s a dilemma isn’t it? Now I’m stuck waiting there and hoping the bus comes and I haven’t missed the bus. Please do fix this issue! Pleaseee.

Pretty accurate!. I love Da Bus app. For the most part it’s pretty accurate on arrival times and tracking the location of buses.

Accurate most of the time. The app helps a lot when you simultaneously look at the map and estimate a reasonable amount of time it takes for the bus to get there instead of just complaining to no end about how inaccurate the times are. Use your eyes, people. It's not top notch GPS. On another note, I'm sure lots of us favorite the stops we frequent so that it's easier to refer back to later when we need it again. With that said, why isn't there an option to remove certain bus stops we no longer go to?

Review the bus driver. If this is a original Hawaii buss app pls add something in the app were we can review and rate the bus driver bc today the bus driver is so rude. First he didn’t lower the bus for a elder that has crutches that the old man had to struggle going down. 2 I press the button to stop by canes I stand up to get ready to go down when the bus arrived to the canes THAT MF DIDNT OPEN THE DOOR OR LIGHT UP THE DOOR I WAS PUSHING THE DOOR NOTHING AS WELL AS HE SAW ME PUSH THE DOOR MANY TIMES NOTHING HE OPEND THE ENTRANCE DOOR WHICH I DONT WANNA WALK OUT OF. He sent me all the way by my elementary school and now I have to walk sunder the sun today is like not even a single cold air came in after school.

bs. this app is total BS, lies and says times theyre supposed to come but the bus ends up coming earlier then it says and we end up missing the bus. Drivers too they come later than their supposed to and choose to go on a break when WE HAVR TO GET PLACES, they also choose to stop at random times and take their sweet times doing irrelevant things, fix this app and your drivers , mahalo.

Arrival times. I wish like the old one you could set a 15,10 and 5 minute warning on your phone that way you are not waiting outside for to long. That helped me especially when the bus arrives sooner than it should! It would alert me saying bus is arriving soon. If that feature could come back that would be awesome. Some of your bus drives need a little more aloha!🥵they talk anyway to visitors

Fix & Update App Please. I like this way better than that HEA app. Its simplicity and ease of use makes it superior imo. But it atleast needs updating every few months.

Needs an update/ added feature. Wish this app would allow you to enter a destination then use your location to assist you with which bus to catch and give you an estimated travel and arrival time… this would be great.

But useful in many situations. Does not inform you when a bus is cancelled. One second the bus is there and the next second it is just gone. Bus stops further down the line tell you cancelled. Buses marked as departed and disappear from the app even when the bus has not reached the stop. Should show as departed and allow riders to check for gps position for at least a minute or two after the bus is predicted to pass.

You need an experience designer. The app is OK and I can see the bones of something really great but it’s hardly usable, is it is. You need someone to use this app for a week and tell you how a real, live user would actually like to use this.

Horrible. Always glitches and is slow. Is rarely accurate, it's either too late or too early. Needs improvements asap.

Does its job...sometimes. I would know when buses are coming maybe 70% of the time. The other 30% consists of the bus not having GPS signals nor coming too early and me being late 30+ minutes. I don’t know if it’s a Hawai‘i thing where things don’t really work but this app is decent for a deviation of +/- 10 minutes on bus arrivals. Just hope and pray your bus does not have a “GPS Signal Not Found.”

You guys need to read this. It’s 547am and I’ve been waiting at this stop for 20m as I write this. I was supposed to be at work by 6am and the bus was scheduled to arrive at 526a. The app doesn’t tell me the that the scheduled bus is running late, arrived early or is not coming at all so I can make alternate plans at another bus stop. After repeatedly checking the gps tracker and getting “no GPS”, I just now got notification that the bus (due to running late or early, I guess) picked up far further down the line. What was once a very useful app for your commuters is no longer the case😖☹️☹️☹️

Ghost bus. The app is currently having a problem where it says there is a bus scheduled, but there is no bus at that time. I’ve been late to work because of this. It will say it is tracking the bus and everything (not a no gps bus). The app also has the opposite problem where all of a sudden it will say a bus is canceled when the bus instead shows up. This is obviously a better situation, but either way, it makes the bus app super unreliable. One ride costs 2.75. That’s kind of expensive to have such a bad system that glitches all the time.

Arrival time is always wrong. The arrival time on the app is always wrong. The worst part is when the bus comes way before the app says (even the busses with GPS) I have to wait a whole more hour for the next one. How can the arrival time be that wrong when it has a GPS??? this app causes me more frustration than it does help. Don’t rely on this stupid app.

Bad timing. For our bus stop it said 3:39 and we started walking to the bus stop then it changed to 3:45 so we went back home cause we had some time then we walk back to the stop at 3:41 to see the bus going away and we had to wait one more hour to go to our destination

Bus Rider. The App assumes you know the city and all the routes and where they go, I live on Molokai and came to live in honolulu for a short time and was very happy to have a bus system. They need to go to a different system where the app knows where you are, you enter a destination and the app tells you what bus stop to go to and what bus to take. I found myself ridding buses when a block away there was a bus that would take me right to my destination.

Arrival no estimated time! It still gives the time it arrive but no estimate time like in 4 minutes. Please fix. I get there at least 20 minutes before the arrival time, then it changes 5 to 10 minutes after the arrival time.

Late. Idk what’s going on but the app is so off timing, it’s either the app or the actual buses that aren’t sticking to their schedule which is very frustrating because I’ve got places to be and I’m sure other people have too. Also, why don’t some buses have GPS? It’s hard to tell where they are because the times aren’t exactly correct.

Never consistent functionality. I am amazed how messed up this app is. I really don’t understand how off this app is. I catch the 51 because I life in mililani and work on Waipio side. The route 51 is always messed up. The advice is to be there 10 minutes before the arrival of the bus but there are time jumps. Sometimes it will say 15 minutes so o leave my house then after a minute passes it will say arrived. There are also a lot of times that the bus disappears off the app but disappears without showing up but the bus comes 10 minutes after. Today the bus was suppose to come at 1149, I left my house at 11:30 because the busses are way worse with timing later in the day. Bus disappeared then came at 12:06. Is this what we should expect? You can’t even ask for an explanation if the bus is late because if you call the bus company and the driver turns off gps they can’t give you any information besides the info that you would look up on the app or on the hea site. If you want to make a complaint you have to call a different number (no they can’t connect you I asked). It’s really a shame to think how disfunctional the bus company allows things to work. Idk if anyone else experiences this but share if you do. I will be sharing a bunch of experiences on my social media you should too.

Complaint. You guys honestly have to fix the bus app. It doesn’t give the accurate time it comes and some buses doesn’t even have location on it. I’ve been late to many events because of this problem.

Very Beneficial. TheBus app is good for viewing bus arrival times, along with tracking where it is. The cons of this app is that the buses usually aren’t on time, which gets frustrating when you rely on it most of the time. Furthermore, the app only gives little information in the help section about its features. Yet, if you call the bus station or look on their website, you can often find answers such as why most buses don’t have a gps present. Overall, it’s very useful on good days when the traffic isn’t heavy. 😊

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!. im going to be late for work because of the wrong time given for the bus that its suppose to arrive! i cant believe this. it says its suppose to arrive 7:54. as i am writing this. i just got on the bus 8:26. like seriously if this app is not accurate enough might as well shut it down. or UPDATE IT TO ITS RIGHT TIME. Work needed. Needs to improve user interface and allow people to plan a route in order to get a 5 Star. I also find that tapping to find a stop is very irresponsive. I mainly use this app to see where the bus is.

Exactly what I need. You can check the bus time, bus route with no problem! User friendly too.

App don’t work on IOS 11+. App does not get data so it don’t work. Tried downloading a couple times from App Store. No such luck. 🤙 Update. 1 week later......4th download and now it’s working on my iPhone 8. No diff but it took 4 tries. So hopefully it continues to work. Mahalos!🌸🌸🌸🌸

Accurate? No.. If you see the bus scheduled 6:35 just add 45 minutes to that. GPS in these things never work, so don’t bother trying to track it because chances of you either already missing it or having the bus lost on the map is guaranteed. 70$ for a pass? Should make it back to 25$ for all the break downs and horrible schedule.

Not helpful to new people. Just moved here from Alaska and excited to have public transportation. Downloaded the app and quickly realized the only thing I can look up is scheduled times for bus stops. Nothing to plan the day, I have an appointment at the university and can’t tell how long the bus ride will take so I have no idea which pick up time to make. Pretty disappointing! I’ve used public transportation when traveling in New York, New Jersey and elsewhere and was always able to plan trips with the information in their bus apps. This one has a lot of improvements to be made.

Limited capabilities. There doesn’t seem to be a way to route a trip from one location to another, which is what I need.

Recent update looks weird. When under dark mode in iOS 14, button touches is blacked out

The app is a hassle. When needing to find a stop quickly and fast, it’s not that fast. Literally this is the main bus app but it’s faster to just look up through Google or Apple Maps to find bus stops around faster.

Great app. People are rating the app based off some in real life thang. Remember it’s just an app. When you make reviews on an app you review the interface and the convenience and purpose. The app has nothing to do with the type of bus driver that arrived early or late. It’d be nice to see the bus location within a 15 minute range. Because it’s like if the bus is supposed to be there at 11pm, soon after 11 the tracking will no longer be offered even if the bus is late, so you have to manually check a bus stop on the same route but bus stops after your current bus stop to see the gps of the bus you’re waiting for. So regardless of late or early in terms of time, the gps should be offered longer than the busses eta schedule.

WHERE’S THE NOTIFICATIONS?!. So I just got a notification from my App Store saying that this new update was supposed to have notifications. I updated the app, but where’s the notifications? I’m still not getting any alerts saying if the bus is 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, etc. minutes away.

Ok when it works. Waiting and tracking g the 33 to Kahla Mall. Displays that it’ll arrive in 4 minutes. Next thing I see is that it passed Me. What? Next bus 32 Minutes. I checked Google and it shows 3 minutes GPS is fine when it works but It’s spotty. I’m retired so I don’t get too crazy but man if I had to get to work or get to the airport it’d be terrible

App not loading arrival times FIX ASAP. When trying to check what time the bus arrives I am met with an error “Failed to get the arrival information. Please try again later.” I already deleted and reinstalled the app and that didn’t fix it… please fix asap !!!

Inaccurate Schedule. This app is very terrible. The schedule is so wrong I ended up missing the bus! To the developers, can you please replace this app with the busdroid, the one for Samsung. Because when I used that app, it’s more reliable than the Dabus app. And it has better GPs then this. I say don’t install your going to end up missing your bus. Please replace this app with Thebus droid, I like that app better then this app.

Beware. It's not accurate it keeps adding a minute to real time arrivals example my bus is scheduled to arrive at twelve it's not here it will say 1201 it's 1201 still no bus it will say 1202 and keep adding a minute till it comes

Helpful. This app is great to track where your bus is. However the text is white and the background is light blue with mostly white so it’s really difficult to read anything on this app

Almost Useless. Tried using this app last month while on holiday in HNL. was virtually useless, requires MULTIPLE entries to find anything.. you have to check 3-4 seperate areas of app & put these details together to find info, then write it down or record in “Notes” or similar. Not worth the effort required to find info. This App needs to be completely redesigned.

Unusable. Two of us sat on our lanai struggling to figure out how to find anything on this app. We wanted to know how to get from our hotel to Hanauma Bay, but there was no obvious place to enter a destination. Instead, it wanted to know the specific stop we wanted off at. When we finally figured out which stop we were heading to, it said “No routes found for this stop.” We tried multiple other locations with identical results. Maybe we were doing something wrong, but this is NOT a user-friendly app. Within half an hour, both of us had deleted if off of our phones deeming it useless and a waste of time. The companion website, thebus.org, wasn’t working either. We gave up on the bus system here altogether and used Uber instead. It may have cost us more money, but it saved us significant headaches and stress.

Difficult for tourists unfamiliar with street names or bus numbers. As a frequent traveller to Honolulu, even I am having trouble finding bus routes and pick up locations. Can’t find the old 57 or 57a bus route from Ala Moana to Kailua by number or street. Am I missing something?

Great App. I’m from Calgary, Canada and use this app daily to get around Honolulu and other parts of the island. Showing when your bus is coming is fairly accurate. Having a favourites with the bus stop ID gives you quick and easy access so you don’t have to constantly put in the bus route or number. Best part is that is was developed by employees at Honolulu and not outsourced to another city!!!!!!

Better in the past. This app has gone DOWNhill. Don't even bother unless you want to waste hours of your time.

Missing features. I downloaded this and compared to the older version, this one is missing some featues. First off, on the tracking map, it tells the bus number and the time of arrival, but does not tell how long it will take. Next, no notifications. In the Old version, you could set a notification to warn you 5, 10, or 15 before the bus arrives. This version lacks that feature. Also on the tracking screen, it should show the route name instead of showing where it's heading for. Also the icon just jumps, instead of flying smoothly. This is a lazy effort, and I'm disappointed. I'm using the older version for now until improvements come to this one.

Merged???. Hi! I was wondering why on both Android and iOS versions of this app does it say merged on ever single stop number I enter?

Disappearing bus. The app provides perfectly accurate information - if the bus shows up at all. I waited st this stop 93 for an hour, 5 buses did not show (even though it said so on the live times and scheduled times). The only one that showed was out of service

Don’t bother downloading. This app is extremely unreliable. It’s best use is to see what routes and stops are nearby but that’s as useful as it gets.

i miss the old bus app. before you can have reminders either 60,30,15,10 or 5 minutes before your bus comes. When you are busy this little reminder can help a lot

Not accurate whatsoever. I literally hate this newer app. All the bus times now say (optional), what he heck does that suppose to mean? The estimated arrival times change constantly. If you check for your bus and it gives you x amount of time, if you check a few minutes later your bus will be either still in the same place, or you'll have missed it completely.

Crashes. Whenever I track bus 210(route 62), the app crashes.

Missed my bus. With the old app the tracker was pretty accurate. I had no problems. I leave my house 10 mins before the bus comes and make it to the bus stop with plenty of time to spare. This app, right when I'm about to leave my house to get to the bus stop I always miss the bus because the tracker is inaccurate. For example if the bus comes at 5pm I will leave my house at 450 and as I'm walking to the bus stop the app says arrived and I see the bus at 452. This is not the first time it has happened to me. Please improve on the app.

review for iPad. This app would be useful if it worked properly. I try to search by tapping and all the app does is zoom back out when I click a bus stop not “nearby” my area. it is very annoying when I am try to plan my bus route back home from my destination because I cannot click to see the times for TheBus at the bus stop near my destination. Developer could you please add function to rename favorite bus stops like in the Android version of this app.

Waste of time. Always leave the house thinking I’ll be able to catch the bus on time and get to school. Never happens. Always late, this app and it’s gps is trash

And HOW do I get to where I want to go?. This app is terrible. I just downloaded it thinking it would tell me which bus (or busses) to take to get to some meetings in different parts of town. No luck. I can see a map of ALL the bus stops in my area but I don't know which one I should go to or which direction I should take. I don't know if I need one bus or many busses. Stick with google maps because this is hard to use. It's all about busses not riders.

Very fast and functional!. Just downloaded the new version of this app and it works like a charm. I can quickly find my bus and no longer have to wonder if I've missed it or not. The built-in map is pretty amazing and can just tap an area to see all the bus stops nearby, zoom in and hold for a sec to see more info. That took me a few seconds until I figured out what I was doing but I get it now. Hats off to the team that built this. Not sure if you are already working on it but it would be great to search from one location to the next and find the best route. Maybe unnecessary for locals but tourists could benefit. The layout is simple and everything runs smoothly. Bug free in HI...Thanks again!
