Used to work great. I used to love this app, but it has gotten continuously more glitchy, to the point where I have finally given up on its usability. My most recent problem is that the scrolling feature that used to work so well doesn’t line up anymore with the lines I’m working on. Previous issues I’ve encountered (and learned to live with): the app will sometimes freeze while I’m recording lines, leaving either a pregnant, unwanted pause, or a complete app crash halfway through a long recording session. If something happens on my phone midway through a recording (a phone call or text), the app would crash and I’d have to start over. Airplane mode is your friend here. The app for some reason will not connect to my car’s Bluetooth or USB. It worked fine in my previous vehicle, but it’s not universal. In short, this was a great app 5 years ago. Unfortunately, it isn’t maintained well enough to keep up with technology changes. I’m looking for an alternative.

Great for memorizing. Really great app to prepare for auditions. It stopped working for a couple weeks but everything is good with the update. I recommend this to all my actor friends.

Great app ... still ironing out some kinks.. I love this app. It literally helped land me what has now turned into a recurring character on a popular soap opera. I know there are still some glitches that need to be fixed - and I'm sure David and his team are addressing those - but if you can get it to load, have a little patience setting up the scenes and recording the lines, it's an audition and performance game-changer in the industry. My recommendations: 1. Auto load and crop all pages of the script once an email of the script has been received. Then it's just up to the user to delete any unwanted pages or reorder them. 2. Enhance the AI to detect silence after the actor finishes their line to begin the pre-recorded other character's lines (I know, this one might be impossible). 3. Make a social aspect of this app...asking any available other user to record the other lines so it's not your own voice talking back to you. Or, if there's a way to have a Siri/Alexa like AI read the lines, that would be cool too. Anyway, just my 2 cents. Thanks for this amazing App, David!

Some feedback. I’ve been using this app for years. Only since I purchased the latest version for my iPhone a few months back have I ever had issues- and they have been consistent. Freezing, shutting down, same complaints as all the recent reviews. Fast forward to this morning, when I open the app and it suggests I update to fix bugs. I do the update, and lo and behold, all the same problems, plus one more (no auto replay) are present. I go to get help, as the admin is suggesting in all the replies to the poor reviews, and I find a note saying the app is aware of the problems with the update!.. my question is why are you still suggesting it?! Don’t suggest people do an update that has problems! You’ve wasted entirely too much of my morning- morning of my audition, during pilot season. Also, I tried to leave this feedback in the help section of the app, but it kept freezing before I could get through the first line so.. yeah.. thanks.

Love this app.. Absolutely essential tool for me.

Update - Still the best actor app. I've been using Rehearsal Pro almost daily since it was released and it is invaluable!! Plus, the support is excellent. I can't imagine any working actor not using Rehearsal Pro. UPDATE: Still my daily go-to app. Yes, there have been glitches over the years, but I have ALWAYS gotten a quick response to my concerns when I write and they are always resolved in the next update. I am still a huge fan.

Confusing. I wouldn’t say I’m the best but I’m far from the worst when it comes to being technologically literate. But boy is this app confusing. I’ve heard multiple complaints about the adobe use and I totally see it now. I can’t get past that step. I take pictures of the sides which takes a bunch of time, turn it into pdf then what? I go to the app and try to get in on the actual rehearsal app and it keeps detouring me back to the pre-adobe page. I might as well just memorize and work on material the old fashioned way. This has been a painful waste of time. There’s gotta be a way to make this simpler for people. It can’t be a coincidence that a ton of people don’t know what the hell is going on.

Best way to learn lines!. I used the older version of this app, and then somehow lost it from my phone when of course I got an audition. Trying to approximate the functionality of this app using a basic voice memo app made me realize just how awesome Rehearsal Pro is! I don't really use any of the frills - I don't make notes or add photos or video or anything - but I am totally reliant on the core functionality: highlighting my lines, recording the scenes, and then using the playback. I love that it automatically restarts so I can easily use this to learn lines while driving or doing dishes (where I wouldn't want to be messing with my phone every time I want to restart the scene). I also love that the page onscreen scrolls as the recorded scene plays, so I'm also developing a sense of where on the page (and which page) I'm at with each line. This makes it so much easier to know when to flip pages and (if necessary) be able to quickly glance at the right part of the script when I'm in an audition. Bottom line, I love this app and I use it every time I'm prepping a scene.

Leaves a lot to be desired. Great app in theory, but often doesn’t work to full capacity. Seems a bit deceitful to make the scanning process for adding scripts to be a camera icon, only to inform you upon clicking on it that you need to download an Adobe app to actually scan the script now. But I did that. Problem is, once you’ve completed the scanning process and followed all the steps provided, it’s still 50/50 whether the “Import to Rehearsal Pro” option will show up on your menu bar. And that’s important, because if you try to send the PDF to Rehearsal Pro when it doesn’t explicitly say “Import to Rehearse Pro,” it doesn’t work whatsoever. So I tried another method that’s suggested of using the email created when I made an account for the purpose of adding a script. The script after several minutes does show up in the app, but when I try to add it, despite re-emailing it several times, I still get the error message “Error writing file.” I like the app when it works, but right now charging $20 for...this...is simply insulting. I want the app to succeed really badly, because it’s a useful tool. But quite frankly it’s just a headache right now

If you follow the instructions…. You’ll probably fix whatever issue it is you’re having. All you have to do is take five minutes out of your day to make sure none of your issues have already been answered in their app FAQ/help page and then after doing that you can email them with your very detailed question. I just did this and David was extremely patient, quick to respond and helpful. We solved my issue which resulted in uninstalling the app, reinstalling, turning my phone off then back on, and then re-signing into the app and it was that simple. Thanks David!

Must have app for professional actors. This is a must have app for any professional actor. It will assist in the learning process and is easy to use. I’ve been using this app for years and depend on it immensely for the quick audition turn arounds and work.

A waste of $20. I added an entire script’s worth of recorded lines into this app, only to have it consistently crash on both my iPhone and iPad when I attempt to access my script. No thank you.

Good app but getting buggy. Always getting an ‘error start recording’ message now when I try to record new lines. This is a useful app but can’t tell if anyone’s home here anymore. The scan to PDF function is useless and so is the ‘find a reader’ section which they should just delete.

Excellent Tool and Support. This is an excellent tool for all actors. I was having a little trouble with a bug where the recorded scene would not go to the page for the playback. The support team responded very quickly and was very helpful. I like the fact that they didn’t try blaming my iPad, what I might have been doing wrong, but just said try this. If you are finding this problem, don’t use the bookmark to go to the page you want to record, but rather scroll to it. They are working to fix it now and hopefully by the time you read this, it won’t be an issue. I’m just grateful that it’s $20 well spent.

Pocket Professional. My favorite part of Rehearsal Pro is that it fits in my pocket. When I'm on set, I need an easy way to take notes, as well as access them during lens changes/lighting changes/makeup touchups... Rehearsal Pro is perfect, because I can quickly reach into my pocket, grab my phone, open the app, and see my notes, or see my line again, especially that pesky one that I can't seem to wrap my memory around. Lastly, this app gives me confidence simply by being available, like a coach. If I start to panic about a line or an entrance or whatever, I just visualize Rehearsal's screen and I instantly feel better, in the moment. Rehearsal Pro makes me say, "I got this!"

The app name says it all!. Not sure why some people are leaving reviews that the app doesn't work--it's been working fine on my iPad Air and iPhone 6 (love the syncing between the two!). The registration process was pretty smooth, I love all the new options in the app (even though I haven't used them all yet, I can see where I will), and even though I'm very new to acting, I can tell this app has been thought out well. It follows the same pattern I do in real life, from auditions to work.

Glitches galore. I’ve used it for years but have found out it keeps getting glitches more often. Very frustrating. I always keep my iPhone updated as well as the app. Crash after crash. I uninstalled and reinstalled it only to have it lock up on a screen that say how easy it is to set up. I’m using iOS 13.3.1

Great app. I love this app, the only thing is that my Apple Pencil lags when I’m trying to take notes. I don’t have this issue when using any other app and my pencil. Kind of stinks because I try to go paperless for auditions and such but it’s such a bad lag it’s hard for me to make up my script like I’d like. Otherwise great app.

Worth the price!. I have used the Rehearsal app for years for Community Theater plays and highly recommend it. The new Rehearsal Pro version is $20, which seems high for an IOS app, but it's not really. Not for what you get out of it. You can record short scenes, which repeat over and over. Then, once you know the scenes, you can export all the scenes as MP3s to iTunes, create a playlist, and go through an entire act or an entire play. Or you can group scenes within the Rehearsal Pro app. I've recommended it to many people, but I don't know anyone who actually uses it except me. It's well worth the $20.

Brilliant App. This is such a great multi purpose app. I can use it to rehearse with, to study my lines, to test me on my memorization, and record a scene for a self-taped audition. The versatility never ends! I can write notes at any part of the script I want, and even bookmark specific articles of research at certain points in the script to be pulled up whenever I want. I have owned each version of this (no, the creator is not paying me nor giving the app to me), and with each version it just keeps getting better and better. The creator is also very responsive to issues and requests for help. I highly recommend this app for anyone working in the acting industry.

Going down hill. I’ve had these app for a couple of years. My phone is always updated properly and in the past few months are freezes regularly and for the last couple of days it won’t even open any files?!

Only app I use.. I have been using this app for auditions for a few years now. Its the only one that is easy to navigate, highlight, record and download the scripts. Record , and just let it play over and over and you’ll be off book in a day! I have a recurring role on Showtime’s Billions and Mr. robot and I have to give some credit to Rehearsal Pro. Jerry D. Couldn’t book without it!!!. I have used Rehearsal Pro for years now and can’t imagine my life without it! I had no idea I would use it as often as I do. I have always been “old school” by using paper and highlighter … and sneaking a peek while I’m driving! The Rehearsal Pro is a game changer. Over the years, I have walked hundreds of miles with my earbuds in listening to lines and responding aloud. People just think I’m talking on the phone! I also use it in the car on long drives or just around town. David‘s videos on how to set up the app are very useful. The turnaround time for the app to receive my script and it be available for rehearsal is phenomenal. It has never disappointed. I recommend this app to everyone in the industry!!

Best App for actors hands down!. I have had this app for like 10 years now. It is by far the best one out there and is a must for all actors. I have used it for auditions, tv/film and stage. It has literally saved me when I’ve had multiple projects going. It offers multiple ways to learn lines and organize scripts. I have no idea why any professional would give this app a bad review. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Couldn't live without it.. I've been using the original Rehearsal for a few years and I use it for everything. Rushing to auditions when you only have the half-hour car drive to get off book, to break down long scenes into smaller rehearsable sections, even as an occasional reader for self-tapes when no one else is available. The new version simply improves all aspects of the previous iteration. Syncing means your script and all annotations move from your phone to your pad, and back, seamlessly. Camera access means you can get new paper sides and have them in Rehearsal in seconds. My point is, working without Rehearsal would be like trading my cell phone for a fax machine... Doable, but a major step backwards.

Can’t login. I paid for this app and not it won’t even allow me to login anymore. Definitely was one of my favorite apps prior to this. Smh

Love the app but.... I use this app all the time, but after the last few apple updates it has stopped working completely on my iPhone, with no app updates available online. Help!!

A HUGE help!. I like to give praise where & when it's due and it's due to you, David. As you know, I downloaded your app yesterday to use in prepping for an audition I had today. I can honestly say I literally felt more prepared than I've ever felt for an audition! Most importantly, I know I did the best job I could have done. Thank you! And I appreciate that you went beyond the call of duty, on my behalf to help me also download it to my iPhone. Having the app in my pocket was icing on the cake. In the waiting room, where everyone else was sitting there with their eyes glued to their sides—with occasional glancing darts to the others in the room—I was living in the scene with my headphones in and my sides playing.

RehearsalPro. Great product and excellent service. David got back to me promptly with any questions I had. Perfect app for film, tv and theatre!!

App Creator Emailed me A Response After I Sent 1 AM Tech Query. The app is great, but I was having an issue saving my audio recording. I sent an email to their help desk at 1 AM and got a DETAILED response that completely solved the issue a 1/2 hour later from the founder of the app David Lawrence. I ended up crushing my audition the next day as a result, and booked my first paid gig! The app is five stars without a doubt, but the customer service is undersold by a 5 star rating system. Genuinely cannot say enough nice things about these people.

This app has been very helpful. I am a very busy actor, thank God, and use this app all the time. It has been incredibly helpful, not just to learn my lines quickly but to break down scripts and prepare the actual beats, objectives, and motivations behind the scene. While I use it in my own way, it is flexible enough to be used any way you'd like. I LOVE the black out feature. And the multiple highlight colors. (I like to use them to break down sentences into verbs, objects, subjects, etc. but I'm nuts.) It has helped deepen my work and allowed it in short periods of time. Well done.

Adobe Scan. I would’ve given this app 5 stars before they started using Adobe Scan to take pictures of scripts to scan them into the app. Before it was super easy since everything was in app. Now you have to switch apps to scan in scripts and the auto scanner doesn’t even capture the whole page most of the time. I also dislike all of the extra steps I have to take to scan in my scripts. It takes more time and is less efficient. I really want them to go back to scanning scripts in app and no longer use Adobe Scan. Otherwise, it’s a great app. You can record your lines, and it will cue them for you; or you can even memorize your lines peek-a-boo style. I want to keep on using it, but Adobe Scan is making me start to consider looking elsewhere.

What a valuable tool!. Last spring I had one week before a three week rehearsal to learn a huge play where I was never off stage and never stopped talking. It was called Uncanny Valley and ranged from intensely scientific monologues to wildly emotional ones. And I had to commute to Long Beach! I honestly don’t know how I could have done it without Rehearsal. So excited to now have the updated version of Pro and see where it takes me. Thanks again for creating this very valuable tool. :)

Important information!. IMPORTANT: if you are experiencing glitches with the app uninstall and reinstall the app. I had major problems with the app but the awesome customer support addressed my problems almost immediately and within a day the app was working perfectly again. This is an amazing app! A must-have for any actor that learns lines both audibly and visually. It’s like having the power of a studio space right in your pocket. Worth every penny.

Glitchy. I’ve been using this app for a while and it worked fine. But recently its become unusable. It’ll completely crash as you scroll down a page. Don’t waste your money

I appreciate having this app. Nothing in this world is perfect, nada, zip, zero. And having a coffee stained, dog eared and likely missing script is one of those imperfections. This app is not perfect, so why five stars? Because it strives to be the perfect solution for managing scripts and it keeps improving and David H. Lawrence XVII is accessible and responsive.... on a Friday night! I appreciate having this app to manage multiple scripts, and multiple versions of the same script. It just works. And when it doesn’t, they fix it, or fix you, as it’s likely user error anyway. This is the best thing going for the dedicated amateur and I suspect for the seasoned pro alike.

How did I live without it???. I LOVE Rehearsal Pro. I've been a fan since the first itteration of Rehearsal, and it's the ONE app I invariably recommend to my actor friends, everyone in any play I'm doing, strangers on the street, etc. I always use it to learn my lines in the car, recording two versions: one with me playing ALL the parts, and then one where I record the cues, and leave a space for me to fill in my lines once I get closer to being all the way off book. The design is beautiful, the help sections (including videos) are clear and helpful, and the functionality is so much more than I could ever need! I love knowing that if I NEED to record and send a VO audition while stuck in some foreign land, I COULD! I'm excited to fully explore all the improved features of Rehearsal Pro! Thanks, DHL XVII!

love this app- booking like crazy. This app is even betterthan the last one put out. When you have several scripts to memorize, this app is a lifesaver. I am somewhat technically challenged, this app is so easy to use. Makes my life as an actor so much easier. The customer service is splendid. When I have had questions David Lawrence answers them swiftly and efficiently. Reading some of these other reviews that are more negative, I can't understand why someone would post that. If they had a problem , all they need to do is send an email or call.

Disappointed...😔. I tried to register from 2 separate emails and keep getting a message that my login doesn’t work. I’ve heard so many great things about this App, and now that I finally decided to spend the $20 to buy it, it’s not even working. Would love help from the developer so I can actually use it...Disappointed 😒

An incredible tool!. I believe I have been using this tool for AT LEAST 10 YEARS! Of course my memory may be off a tad ALL THE MORE REASON WHY THIS HAS BECOME MY GO TO! I cant say enough about the value. Yes, there were bugs early on but EVERYTIME I expressed an issue the team IMMEDIATELY responded and provided help. I am shocked everyone (especially in the biz) isn’t using it!

My favorite way to learn lines. I am the kid of two actors, and so the method of learning lines has been a discussion my entire life. This app is my favorite method I have ever found. The ability to hear my recording on a continual loop is the best line-drilling partner ever. The black-out-your-lines option is also one of my favorites. It also syncs w your devices, so I can learn lines on my iPad and then drill them while on my phone. The developer is really responsive too. I recommend it to all my friends.

Only app I use. I’ve used Rehearsal Pro exclusively for my entire career and don’t really see any reason to use anything else… I’ve never had any issue with this app and I’m sure I’m not even using it to it’s full potential. :-)

Adequate, but just.. Are used the previous version of the app, and upgraded to this one on the recommendation of the developer. While most of the functions work well, when they work, quite often the app hangs up or just simply crashes and closes. The feature I use the most is highlighting lines and recording scenes – likely the most common for most people. Managing scripts and scenes, etc., it's not easy. The app follows the traditional iOS protocol for editing and deleting things, but the app itself hangs with the spinning circle. Overall, I like this app. I do think it is expensive, given that the features that work reliably in this app can be found in many others, and for significantly less money.

Must have for actors!. This is the first ever review I’ve ever written for an app, but it deserves it. I use this for every audition I have where I need to memorize more than a few lines. It’s incredibly helpful. I was recording and playing back lines before I knew this existed, but this has made it soooo much easier! It’s hard to get people to run lines with you as much as you need to memorize things. This helps you get off book and I’ve even used it to help me with self tapes when I don’t have a reader! It’s a must have if you’re an actor! And if you have any problems, just write support; they’re very responsive! Thanks David for your brilliant mind, app, and everything you do to support actors!!

Don’t waste your money, just use the inherent iPad.... The current version of iPad Pro allows you to write on PDFs just like you are supposed to be able to do with this app. This app is easy to use, you store your pdf script on their website and load it into your app, then you can use the pens and hi lighter to make notes or hi light your lines and that is the problem. There is significant lag with making marks on your script. Makes it impossible to actually make notes and certainly not any blocking! I have the newest version of iPad Pro and I have tried to make notes with both my finger and my Apple Pencil, it is not possible to make notes as this feature is not well synced with the 11.1.2 version of iOS. It was the note taking and hi light features which lured me to buy this app and I regret the choice as there is no change in the strangled way in which the pens function.

Scriptation is much better. Has a lot of nice features but even the pen and eraser are glitchy. Eraser wont erase everything. Also I can’t open any scripts if I’m offline which is HUGE. Definitely definitely should have an offline mode. Found out about scriptation app after I paid for this app. Regretting buying it since scriptation has everything this app doesn’t. Save your money and download Scriptation

The actors app. Great app made even better. I have been using Rehearsal 2 for quite sometime for memorizing lines and recording VO auditions it was great. Then David and the team came along and made it even better. The ability to stop and rewind to the spot that you said the wrong line is fantastic. And if you like to block out your text for learning lines even better. You can have multiple colored high lighted lines and it will only block out the color you choose. It is worth the price. So get it and make booking the gig even easier.

The BEST. This is the best line learning app on the market. The process is quick and it is so so helpful for learning lines on your own. I have recommended it to many theatre friends and they love it as well.

Brilliant. I use this to learn Masonic Rituals and it’d proved a great help

A good idea, very badly implemented. This app is almost a complete failure. It struggles to upload scripts, it loses them repeatedly. It has a very clunky interface which makes marking up scripts very difficult, and then after spending hours dragging through the process, it simply loses the editing, forgets all the bookmarks, removes the highlighting. Overall, a complete failure, unfortunately.

Not ready for prime time. As a long time and happy user of Rehearsal 2, I was a crowdfunding supporter of this new version. It's prettier than 2 and has a welcome new feature, the ability to pause during playback. However, the first time I used it, after highlighting all, my lines and recording my scenes, when I restarted the app, all my highlighting had disappeared. That's too risky a bug for professional use. Reverted to Rehearsal 2 which still works well.

I like it, but still not in love... yet.. I would love some more cathegories (like commercials for instance). Most of the time I can’t fill in my scripts infos cause there are too many choices missing. But otherwise, this app is a good tool for actors.

Fantastic resource for actors. Been using Rehearsal® Pro for several years now and It is an invaluable resource for the working actor. There are so many wonderful features to make memorizing as painless as possible- with lots of different ways to help with memorization. Can’t say enough about this terrific program. Count me Grateful In Canada!

Depends too much on web site. Loading scripts onto the app is done by emailing the developers site. That’s fine as an option, but if the site is down - it is as I write this - it’s impossible to save scenes or even change app settings. The design of the app is simple and effective, but it should be able to work better when it can’t “phone home”. And how about real Dropbox integration, rather than making users go through Dropbox’s “three dots” menu?

Essential. Not just useful, it’s essential. This is an inexpensive tool for every working actor. It helps me learn lines fast. The service was fast and thorough. I used Rehearsal 2 and so far, no issues with Pro. Thanks!

Inconsiderate. I bought rehearsal 2 back in the days and they completely took it off the market and had to REpurchase this app.

p. CONS: 1. the record button is either not big enough or not sensitive enough, there have been many times that i believe i have pressed it and i havent been recording. 2. you can't use external microphones with this app. 3. the synchronization is BAD. It takes forever for your scripts and scenes to be synchronized. Oftentimes I will have to redownload a script I already have on a device for the original script to show up on that device, and then i have to delete the second copy i downloaded to get the first. 4. when you make a note, this box appears on the script in a weird place, a place that wasnt where you put the cursor, oftentimes blocking the dialogue. 5. IT IS A RIP OFF. TOTALLY OVERPRICED. 6. The eraser feature has too wide a cursor or area that it erases. Inevitable you end up erasing more than youd like when you use it. IT SHOULD HAVE DIFFERENT SIZE CURSORS TO CHOOSE FROM. 7. Lasat time this was updated was 2 years ago!?!?!? PROS: 1. lots of highlighting and pen colours to choose from. 2. the scrolling screen while you are listening to a scene works. 3. i do like the feature being able to block off highlighted lines with black. Overall this needs a lot of work and is way overpriced.

A Must Have Tool For Working Actors. Absolutely couldn’t manage without Rehearsal Pro. It was recommended to me and I’ve since recommended it to fellow actors. Seriously fabulous shiny tool you need in your actors toolbox!

Bring back the same features as rehearsal 2!!!!. Why cant i uncover my lines while im playing my recorded scene???? Hate that i had to change from rehearsal 2 ugh it was much better.

Used to be good. I used to recommend this app to my theater fiends but unfortunately I just can’t anymore. Slow to respond, glitchy, and add a script via email doesn’t work anymore. Bummer! Revision - changed to three stars. developers did reach out and try to help with an issue. However I found app was still too slow and glitchy for me.

Highlight-Take notes-Off book. I like all of the color choices; and the super fine pen, brilliant. Wish the yellow highlighter was as bright as it was on Rehearsal 2. But, other than that, everything is really cool. And I love being able to pause while recording! Can't wait to keep finding more great features. Great job David!!

Great product and even better customer service!. I love this product! It has helped me learn scripts so much more quickly and helps keep me organized. After using it for about a year I had a issue with how the program worked on my iPad and the developer David got back to me within 30 minute of emailing him and was able to resolve my issue ASAP. I can’t recommend this app enough!

An essential tool for actors. I have been using the Rehearsal Pro app for several years now and find it invaluable. Whether it’s for class, auditions or (best of all) a paying gig, I wouldn’t want to be without this app. Run, don’t walk, to the App Store and get it!

Same as the other 2 rehearsal apps. They say they upgraded all kinds of stuff but not in my opinion. Pretty much the same as rehearsal 2. Also kind of bugs that they make you pay full price, even if you have bought the other 2. Next it's gonna be rehearsal pro premium, then charge people another 20 bucks. Waste of money

Saves me so much time!. Rehearsal Pro is exactly what I need to support my acting career. The most difficult part for me is remembering lines so that I can remain cool and present in auditions. With this app, now I can do just that. It's simple to use and efficient. So glad I got it!

WARNING: You are paying $20 to Beta test. So, yeah. Love this app. I do. I've been using it since the old version (which had its drawbacks but did everything I needed it to). And, I believe this one will get there...but it's buggy. And, honestly, not intuitive. The audio playback of scenes is spotty at best. The questions you get asked when you import a script are not clear...then, the edits you make are locked in. So, if you don't like what you did...gotta import again. Frustrating. I like this app and these folks. And I am sure they are working to fix it, but right now you are paying to be a BETA tester. Not good.

Great app!. This app will help you improv your craft just because it is so easy to practice. Thank you for being camera/microphone accessible.

Bug fixes?. Great app when it works. Since the new update 13 to iPhone, the app has been locking up when I open it. Closing the app out completely doesn’t help. I literally have to hard reset the phone in order to use the app. I just deleted the app to reinstall it... see if that works...

Must have for every actor. This application is easy to use and helped me in many occasions to memorize lines on my way to an audition that came in the last minute. Also, when I got a revised script on the day of shoot, I put on a headset and memorized my new lines while waiting for my scene. As an acting teacher and coach I recommend it to all my students. It is perfect for actors on the go.

Almost there. Recognition for handwritten notes is so laggy as to make the feature unusable. This carries over from the previous version, and I was hopeful it would be fixed. Other than that, a great upgrade to an indispensable app.

Adobe Scan is Trash. The app is AMAZING, BUT just to add a photo of your script you gotta download ANOTHER app and create a whole PDF file with another app on top of that. It’s nonsensical. Why do all that, when we could just snap a photo???

Sadly. I have to bring it down to one star. I loved this app. It was a 5 star app. Totally unusable right now. And no information about a solution. I keep going to App Store looking for update. Eventually I will not even bother. The new version rollout has been very disappointing and unnecessary really. I understand glitches but what I don’t understand is the lack of information and help. You still have a misleading statement up from 6 days ago saying the problems have been fixed. How irresponsible. What if I didn’t know and updated? It’s dishonest discourteous. I hope you all have a staff meeting and figure out a new way forward. Because this is bad.

Super helper. Rehearsal Pro is really helping me to learn my lines. I am relieved from getting off book which has been my primary obstacle in my acting career.

Script loading never available to use on app. Taking an hour and my 3page cript is not uploaded yet... The only reason why I got this app is to help me memorize and prepare for auditions when I’m in a time crunch... so now I can’t use the app and wasted time setting it up... isn’t this suppose to be a helpful app? Will change ratings if the scrip actually loads and I can use the app effectively..... as of now I’m still waiting for my 3 page script to load :(

Great. But.... You need to get used to it a little. Very useful though and great for getting lines down quick on the run.

YOU NEED THIS!!. Simply AWESOME. For actors, this app is a no-brainer!! It can actually help anyone who needs to learn text: for a group presentation at work, to sales team members memorizing different parts of a Q&A pitch, etc. This app will become a valuable part of you toolkit. Best of all, this tool fits in your phone!

Not worth the money until fixed. I rarely write reviews- but this app is a mess. When an app is designed to assist someone's livelihood, it should be a bit more reliable. I had heard good things about previous versions (and it WOULD be great...if it worked) but this version keeps deleting scripts, losing updated scenes and crashing. Incredibly frustrating.

Audio capability is huge. The ability that have custom looping audio anywhere in the scene has made rehearsing solo so much easier. This app does everything I want it to. Recommend it to actor friends all the time.

Can't edit lnes. It's not a bad app, but you can't edit lines, in the manner of adding words, or even adding stage direction quickly and easily. The "Add text" takes up too much room on the screen, even shrunk to it's smallest possible size. Basically unusable in a rehearsal setting.

This App Saves My Acting *ss. This is a great app for a mommy/actor like me who is always on the go. I’ve used it for years to memorize lines for work and auditions. It helps me prepare quickly and efficiently, which is the name of the game. And I love how they’re always making improvements!

Major issues with latest update. I was a HUGE fan of this app until now. Since the latest update, I am unable to download scenes that I recorded on the app from my phone onto the app on my iPad. It freezes mid-download and then the app crashes. Without the ability to run my scenes, this app is useless for me. Super disappointed because I really needed the app this week...also because this app isn’t cheap.

Aight but could be better. Love the concept & it has help me a lot but unfortunately it is so buggy. Every other time I use it, my PDFs won’t upload & its too much of a hassle going through the adobe camera app every time. I’ve started just having the memo app on my phone bc it’s faster. Want to love this more but it’s run into frustrations too often.

Decent, but doesn’t support iPhone X. I use this app a lot but since upgrading to the iPhone X I’ve found it incredibly difficult to use. The app is not optimized for the larger screen as the playback options are right on top of the swipe bar. When I do manage to move the sliders to pick a chunk of the script to rehearse, the app bugs out and just keeps beeping at me. I have to exit the recording and renter it to reset it. Extremely annoying when you have 30 pages of script to memorize. Please fix!

Seems to get stuck. My app freezes and won’t let me back out of areas easily. I like the ease in being able to learn lines with this program, but I do get frustrated with the “ease of use.” I think it could be a bit more streamlined.

App crashes all the time making you permanently lose work!. This app crashes all the time especially in the editing phase. I would be cropping my ages and all of a sudden, then app would give an error message and the work was gone. The work is gone permanently at this point and there is no way to go back and re-edit because you're only allowed to do that when you first upload your script (Why? I don't know!). This expensive app needs A LOT more work before it's sold to the public.

Preparing for auditions has never been easier When a new script arrives in your e-mail just sent it to your private Rehearsal Pro e-mail and it shows up to "add new scripts" in seconds. You can manipulate your script in any number of ways; highlight it, record it, add notes, and more. Keep your script with you on any device. Don't know how I ever prepped without it. Thanks David.

Used to be great I hope they fix soon.. Editing previous review the situation was due to having a carry over account from an old app resulting in two accounts. The developer called personally to walk me through getting everything functioning properly. Great experience!

Keeps freezing. ZERO STARS! Phone: iPhone 6S+ (120g) I bought this app yesterday and haven't got as far as recording a couple of scenes because the app keeps freezing on me causing me to close the app and restart. I had to restart the whole phone a couple of times! Then it'll refreeze when I try to record or when I stop recording it won't let me enter a name and save. So far $20 (and a lot of time) wasted! I have a 6s+ iPhone with plenty of memory to spare and I even shut down all other apps before using and it still freezes! Then... If I *am* able to record a scene, the playback freezes up. When it does playback, the sound quality is extremely bad! I paid $20 to beta test an app that does NOT work.

What a gift!. I have an entire 6 episode series in my iPad instead of the huge book I couldn't get in my backpack. I had a little trouble beginning, wrote them a note, and the company called and walked me through this fabulous program. Makes learning lines a snap, adding pink and yellow pages. Way over priced. WAY Overpriced… Should've checked the reviews before I purchased, my bad.… Bottom line, other than being able to see your sides or script, I could do the exact same thing using the recorder on my phone… Asked for my money to be returned, never got a response.

RehearsalPro. Awesome app. I am new to Rehearsal and wish i had been savvy to it earlier. No more wasted time sitting in traffic! Now I can really work. It's simple with thorough tutorials and support. Most useful.

Please fix this.... I'm an actor and my "day-job" professional QA Test Autimation Engineer (software tester) and I can't believe that you guys rushed to put this out...did you have anyone test it???? I've used Rehearsal 2 for years and absolutely love it. I was so excited to see this upgrade until I used it. Crashes A LOT! I tried to sync between my phone and my iPad and the app closes. Highlighting the text doesn't work at all on iPad. It will only highlight half if the length of the line and distorts the text so it is unreadable. Too many issues to put in a review... I sincerely hope that you have a method in place to accept bug requests from users...this one misses the mark.

Once a great app, but no more.... Upgraded to the newest version and immediately regretted it. Highlighting was easy in the old version, frustrating and difficult in the new version. There are lines in my script that won’t even take highlighting, which then negates the blackout function. Instead of adding more bells and whistles, how about making sure the basics work correctly...as for me? I’m moving on to something else ☹️

Too bad...was a fave but not reliable anymore. I love this app, I rely on it 3-5 times a week. It’s a great rehearsal tool. However, the newest update literally won’t even let me use the app, as it crashes within seconds of opening it. I’ve tried restarting my phone, closing the app, I even deleted and redownloaded. Most of my actor friends with the app are having the same issue. Works okay on my iPad, but it’s now literally unusable. Also, PLEASE do something about the lag that occurs when I try to mark up my script in the app!!!!!

Nothing more than a PDF reader. A pdf reader with some insanely clumsy interfaces, and an awful audio recorder. What a waste of money. The front page is well designed (for a comic book app, which is isn’t), but the rest of it is out-of-date links, awful interactions, and pages urging you to download other apps to do what this one can’t. I don’t have any idea why you would buy this. I wish I hadn’t.

Inconsistent at Best. What upsets me is this. The last app was glitchy and crashes a lot and inconsistent and instead of fixing that app and adding new features, a new glitchy inconsistent app is here to replace the old glitchy inconsistent app. If it worked it would be amazing. I've attempted to record a scene 4 times and it keeps crashing. I've reset my phone-I've walked away. This app is over praised and under kept. I will likely re download the old crappy one and hope that it works more consistently than this one.

$20 and no trail or refund option 😠. The application looked really good and was recommended on multiple websites however the app didn’t work for me I tried multiple times to get it refunded because I didn’t even use the app but it was impossible get a refund very disappointing that I pay $20 just to try the app and I still can’t have a way to refund my money.

Terrific. Absolutely the best app I’ve ever encountered to prep for auditions I’ve used it for full length play feature films and TV and even short Internet projects at each time it’s made preparing to do a roll incredibly easy and actually fun

It’s fun and it’s a game changer. Never could I live without Rehearsal Pro for the rest of my life. Recording other character lines for memorization, car mode, highlighting my lines and using blackout mode to hide my lines while working...these are some of my favorite features but there is so much more. I thank the developer every time that I need to memorize lines.

Game Changer. When you have just one night to memorize 5-10 pages of dense dialogue for an audition the next day and no one to run lines with you this is a game changer. When you have pages and pages of script changes and just an hour to memorize them, this is a lifesaver. Best app on the market. Totally worth the price!

Essential for actors. Couldn’t love this app more. Have used it for years and swear by it. I tell all my friends about it. It is one of my most valued preparation tools. Kudos to the creators.

So good when it’s not frozen. I seriously love this app. The leads of the tv show I was on told me about it. It’s wonderful... when it’s not frozen. I will open the app and tap ANYTHING and nothing works. I need to know these lines by tomorrow and the app is frozen AGAIN 🥴

Great when it works. Is there a way to restart it when it freezes? I’ve restarted my iPhone a few times - sometimes that helps, sometimes it doesn’t. Might have to do with an update my phone did.

Rehearsal user since April 2010. Once the iPad came out, rehearsal was announced at NAB Michael Cionni at LightIron exhibit. I bought an iPad and Rehearsal. It is the ONLY program I use when on set working as an actor. I look forward to the new Pro version. Just downloaded it!

A mess. I preferred the old version!. This app has caused me nothing but problems and at such a high price point ( a second time no less, since I paid the same for the first version which was much better) I’d say it’s not at all worth it. I’ve spent more time going back and re-highlighting lines than I have spent memorizing them. In addition, my scene recordings don’t match up to the pages I recorded them on. It’s been a frustrating rehearsal process with RehearsalPro. I’d stick to paper and voice memos.

The Best. I’ve been using this app for a few years and it’s only gotten better. It’s been an invaluable tool memorizing as well as a great tool for home v/o practice (added boon in taping oneself....) The very few times I’ve needed assistance that help has been quick, friendly and informative. Thank you Rehearsal Pro!

Take your Audition to the next level. Truly an amazing app to learn lines. Not only do I use this for for learning my lines for an audition but also for scenes in my classes. I'm a visual and auditory learner so I love recording my scenes and listening to them on loop on my way to class or while I'm doing tasks around the house such as laundry or doing the dishes. I haven't fully used this app to its potential but excited what the future holds with this app!
