Gives more understanding. Reading the scripture with this app really gives a more in depth view on what the verses say. It helps that someone has gone through and did so much research ahead of writing. It helps me with my in depth Bible studies and really helps me to have a deeper understanding of what God wants us to see when we read His word.

No app icon. After I purchased this study Bible no icon appeared on my iPhone screen. The only way I can open this app is to go to the App Store to open it. Can someone help me figure out how to get the icon onto my iPhone screen? I will change my rating after I figure this out.

Great but wish had more of the “study part”. Great app. When I press the M, which links to the study answers, there are not as many study answers as I have seen in other study Bibles. So my hope is that app will be updated to include much more in the “study” section. Other than that, love it.

Excellent app. For sure the most well thought out Bible study app I’ve come across. The fact that it can auto sync the commentary to where you’re currently reading and easily toggle between the two is worth the money alone. I was willing to pay for MacArthur’s commentary in e-format, but the functionality being top top is a pleasant surprise. Most Bible apps are clunky and a pain to use.

MacArthur Study Bible on Tecarta. Good app. Very good for reading and light study. The "Articles" section provides quick and easy access to things such as a doctrinal summary and harmonies of both the OT historical books as well as the Gospels along with timelines & maps. Very user friendly. When I first started out there was a little bit of a learning curve learning how to navigate & access all of the resources, but it was well worth the effort.

Study Tool. This has helped me tremendously as I study each day.

Best I’ve used. This study bible can stand alone against any other Ive used, purely based on John’s spot-on theology. Factor in the many, many wonderful tools and conveniences in the iPhone app, it’s truly a witnessing tool that every follower of Christ should have as close as their cell phone. Armor up brothers and sisters! Fight the good fight!

Wonderful App but One Complaint. Maybe I’m being petty. But I struggle with navigation sometimes. For example, I’m trying to remember how to get to Bibles side-by-side. I have accomplished it twice and somehow it either disappeared or in advertently, turned it off both times. I have gone through every possible scenario that I can think of and I cannot find it again after searching and searching. Maybe it’s age related and my memory is failing me. The app itself as wonderful as expected. The detailed and never ending content and teachings are every bit the same as the many Sermons that I enjoy from Pastor MacArthur. I recommended very highly to anyone looking to game substantial knowledge of God’s word.

Great commentary. This is a great app I have the word of God, commentary, and word doc. all at my finger tips. It helps prepare me to teach Sunday school.

MacArthur Study Bible. The Lord at your fingertips! The word of God in a practical app on your phone whenever and wherever you are. The commentary is insightful and edifying. The auto scroll is awesome too. This is a great gift for someone you love and well worth the money!

Awesome App. This app shows a daily devotion which is delightful. It works very well. I highly recommend it.

John is awesome. This app is a little touchy with all the options and interactions, but having MacArthur as a resource right there is awesome.

The MacArthur study Bible and Commentary is the best. The MacArthur study Bible and Commentary is the best combination digital offering there is an on marketplace absolutely superb I’ve tried many combinations, this is by far this is the best. From the perspective of how it functions together is truly wonderful and of course the content cannot be better.

Engrossing. A true study bible. Notes and "extras" very thorough. Love the more literal NASB. MacArthur's exegesis is solid and clear. Slight learning curve in navigation, but that's to be expected. Helps inspire and encourage me to read the Bible.

Best app I have. It’s my favorite app I have the physical book form and love it as well I find the app even better because it so easy to navigate all of it all at once instead of looking for the pages and it’s great for street preaching evangelizing when you forget a meaning on a verse just so awesome definitely worth every penny and goes to a great cause you you get MacArthur’s Study notes and the 1995 NASB Bible and a audio Bible and the years of research you just can’t beat it right now at this point in time

Thankful. So thankful for such a resource as the study Bible and the sermons. I am 75 and has been a Christian for many years and have learned so much more in the short time I have been reading this Bible and listening to the sermons.

Having Fun with God. I love having the MacArthur Study Bible so handy on my phone. I can easily move through the scriptures with ease. Makes being close to Jesus when reading his word so easy anywhere I need to be. Let’s me have fun with the creator reading his word. It’s wonderful!

Solid. Well worth the cost!! One of (if not) the best Bible apps out there. With 40+ yrs of MacArthur’s studies within our reach, and easy access to Strong’s and other concordances/commentaries, it brings a much deeper understanding of God’s Word and only serves to make me hunger to know it more. A little confusing initially how to use all the features, but fairly quickly learned. God Bless and thank you for serving in the ministry!

Best translation, best study bible, on the best Bible platform!. I most recently fell in love with this translation, and John MacArthur’s study notes seem to be the most in-depth and diverse amongst other study Bibles. On top of this, The Tecarta format is the most easy-to-use and organized Bible Platform I’ve come across!

Equipping the saints. I knew immediately when I had downloaded this app that I had found the resource I had been looking for.I have listen to hundreds of hours of John MacArthur’s sermons and read his books. Bible comprehension. Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” The man replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?” God bless all those involved in creating this study Bible. I love this app! It’s so good!. I can tell there was a lot of work that went into this Bible app. Truly appreciate Pastor MacArthurs notes and book intros in this.

AN INVALUABLE RESOURCE FOR UNDERSTANDING SCRIPTURE. I have the print version of The Macarthur Study Bible, so when I saw this, I immediately purchased it and have never looked back. I will admit, at 62, I struggled a bit with the functionality of accessing commentaries and other information that this Bible is known for, but with repeated use I learned how to access the features, and it has proven a very valuable electronic tool. I still use the print version, but it is not convenient to always have at hand. I give it 5 solid stars, well worth the asking price. The Search function is stellar; at my age, I remember snippets of Scripture, but not always chapter and verse; “Search” helps immensely with that. The Daily Devotionals are always welcome. Of course, Dr. Macarthur’s commentaries help with understanding the true context of Scripture, and the hermeneutics seem sound. The only resource I wish it contained is an Interlinear Concordance. Now, it may well be in here someplace that I just haven’t found yet, but currently I use another Bible app to fill in that “gap”. A true blessing to anyone wishing to develop a true understanding of Scripture. God’s Blessings upon all His saints, and Glory to the Son Christ Jesus.

Well Done!. Thank you for this program! I appreciate how everything works so well. I like using this program in church, and our Men’s ministry study group I attend regularly. I like the fact I don’t need the Internet. I also have the LOGOS program, which I really like too. But, that program needs the internet on your phone, and unless you have the best WiFi Connection, it doesn’t work, and is very frustrating. Which is why I purchased your this program. This program is a joy to use. Thank you for this excellent bible program.

Chaplain. I would not recommend this app, way over priced, for what it does. I would return it if I could. I have to correct myself, I wrote the review above. However , after using it for a few weeks, it is not as hard to use as I FIRST JUDGED. I is a decent app, and it is not very hard to use. Just an old man’s opinion. Thanks, I should have waited.

Navigation friendly. The text of scripture is on the left side and the MacArthur study notes are on the right side. They move together, but you also are able to adjust them as you like, to move one side up or down a little as you like. Also, when there is a Scripture reference in the study notes, you can click it or touch it to see that verse in a small pop up window, but then you can click it again to move the Bible on the left to that passage, and the study notes adjust accordingly. When done with the sideline, you can do a back arrow back to your original passage. It’s also well organized to get to any passage quickly, practically as fast as anyone really familiar with the Bible can do it with a paper Bible. In short, the navigation is well thought out. Plus you can use it while not connected to the internet. Well done.

Finally understanding. This Bible is perfect for understanding the scriptures. The digital format is so easy to use and affordable. I am thankful to God that this was suggested by a friend. I started out listening to John MacArther about which day is the Sabbath and have enjoyed other sermon as well.

Haven’t actually purchased. I love this study tool and works great except I have to use it streaming. I didn’t realize this until they advertised buying the actual copy for more $$$ so it’ll run if I’m offline. Just more in app purchases to make. Kind of misleading way to make more money. Other than that a good study tool and easy to navigate.

Love it. I would have given it 5 stars if there were more options for highlighting colours like orange and purple so I could use the same highlighting colours as I use in my non digital bible. Other than that it’s a great bible.

MacArthur Study Bible translation deceiving. I bought the NASB MacArthur Study Bible and paid for that...however, when I go to the Bible to read verses it is in the King James Version. I wanted the NASB and now i don’t know how or if I can get my money back
