Application to mirror the screen of your Mac to any Samsung Smart TV. No wires and no additional hardware needed! You can also stream individual video files from your Mac to your TV. Also, we included the option to watch one window on your Mac, and another window on your TV!
This works on any Samsung Smart TV from the 2012 models onward. Which model year do you have? You can see that by looking at the middle letter in your model type (on the back of your Samsung TV).
E = 2012
F = 2013
H = 2014
J = 2015
K = 2016
M = 2017
N = 2018
R = 2019
Q = QLED (supported)
UE55_E_S8000 = 2012.
UE78_H_U8500L = 2014.
In using the app, there will be a couple of seconds of latency (usually between 1 and 3). So this mirroring is not suitable for gaming.
However, it is very suitable for watching movies, giving presentations, watching photos, and much more!
The quality of your experience will be dependent on the quality of your local network. Some tips to enhance the experience:
- Preferably, connect your TV by LAN cable to your router.
- Use a Wifi ac router. If you don't have one, then an "n" router.
- Try not to overload your wifi network by moving big files around while you are mirroring.
How the app works:
First, make sure that your Samsung TV is on the same local network and same subnet as your Mac. The TV should not be in screen mirroring mode, but just on "TV" Mode or any HDMI IN port.
After launching the app, you will see the app icon appearing in the top bar of your Mac and the app will look for your TV on the network. It will show your TV when it has found it. Now, you have two options:
Mirror your Mac Screen:
Use this option to put the screen of your Mac on TV. In source, you can select which screen (or attached monitor) you want to display on TV. If you are running multiple applications on your Mac, you can also select which application window you want to see on TV.
Enable Sound: check this to hear the sound of your Mac coming from the TV. You will need the additional (free) audio driver, which you can download here: http://bit.ly/MirrorAudio
Play Video File:
Use this option if you have a video file on your Mac and you want to play just the file on TV. Drop it in the box and it will play on TV.
Settings (the icon in the bottom right of the app): click here to request support from our 24/7 support staff. They usually respond within 2 hours on any query that you might have. If your question is technical, please also include the diagnostics information.
Limitations: Apple has HDCP DRM protection for playing iTunes movies. This means that screen mirroring is not possible when watching movies from iTunes.
When you like the app, please don't forget to give it a positive rating! Thanks in advance from the AirBeamTV development team!

This product does not work and Apple will not give a refund. Save your money and don’t waste your time!!! Just look at all of the one star reviews. I would give it ZERO STARS but that is not a choice. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT TO NOT GIVE A REFUND ON THIS PRODUCT APPLE. I guess that is how you stay a multi million dollar corporation…..by screwing over your customers!!!
Very useful to cast onto my TV. Simple and easy. Would definitely recommend this app.
I was hosting my daughter's graduation party and wanted to display a slide show my wife had taken hours to build. The location we were at had a Samsung TV with Screen Mirroring capability and I have a 2018 MacBook Pro. I was under the impression that I would have Apple TV avaialable to broadcast but when I arrived, that was not the case. We also did not have adapters for the HDMI connections to Apple's USB-C so I needed something that would allow me to broadcast via bluetooth or WiFi. I was in a bit of a pickle at the time because the event was starting soon so I went to the Apple App Store and after some brief research, landed on this product. I paid the $9.99 and installed it. Once installed I went to the icon in the menu bar as instructed and opened it and it began the search for the TV. That was a process that took about 7-10 minutes. At that point, I thought I was on the road to success. I was wrong. Once it found the TV, I was given 2 options, something along the lines of mirroring the entire screen or selecting an file to play. I started with the mirror the whole screen option. That option was a complete bust. The spinning wheel or searching but not succeeding just went on in perpetuity. I let it go for well over 10 minutes with nothing, no error, no failure, nothing, just spinning. I tried a reboot, restarting the app a couple of times, each yielding the same spinning wheel of failure... I tried the "Play the file directly" option as well, which at least gave me immediate feedback...that of course being that my file type (m4p) was not supported. So all in all I spent roughly 45 minutes working with this app to accomplish a very specifc goal...playing a slide show from an Apple MacBook Pro to a Samsung TV, and I failed miserably and wasted the $9.99 and worse, the 45 minutes I could have used running to an Apple store and buying an HDMI to USB-C adapter. I never came close to getting it working and this was the only reason I need this app. I would like to request a refund.
Worked great for the brief 30second free trial. Then watched a sports game through it that night and there was some lagging but it was minimal and caught up quickly. Then the next time I tried using it, I couldn't! The lagging/freezing was so bad. I don't know if this app is just meant to work the first time to get your money or what but if it keeps working like it is it is a total waste of $10!
If you dont' Have a Samsung TV you are out of Luck!!
This app is a waste of cash if you're thinking of mirroring live shows from your laptop to your tv. Yes, it mirrors your laptop, but the lag is almost a second, which makes it useless for live events, 4k, etc.
All of the MP4 files I drop into Mirror result in an unsupported format error. I was hoping to use this app as DLNA server replacement. The screen mirror is adequate. There is buffering lag of more than a few seconds. Overall the quality of the mirror is good.
sinking is too much slower than actual
Move cursor on mac....wait.....wait....cursor on tv kinda does the same thing 5 seconds later... do not buy.
This app works and is simple to setup on your computer. As soon as you start mirroring, its cool but then you will notice about a 10-15 second delay on the tv. Was really excited to use this app until i realized i wasted $10.00. I want my money back, this is a joke of an app and someone should fix these issues. I am now out $10 for something that doesn't even work. Thanks guys! Great app you have! I want my money back.
Paid and bought it, but it aint working for me. Tried surfing online ways to connect to my smart tv, but that too failed. Disappointed.
I download this app to watch uni lectures and it's great. I would recommend. A small lag, but it's frantastic in comparison to other apps I tested. If I wanted perfect, I would go buy Apple TV, for what it is, a cheaper alternative, it's 5 star.
Connects easy enough but the lag is awful 6 - 10 second delays. Not what I expected for $15 ..
This app provides perfect streamoing between my mac and my TV.,I have now used ot a number of time and have had no problems at all. I need to turn the volume up a long way on the TV but that is not a problem.
This app so bad, it's so slow. Every time I play a video it takes forever to load and skips bits and pieces.
There is still serious lag in mirroring using this app. I am talking about 5-8 seconds lag time. For some reason the Samsung TV ( which is a 2018 Q8 ) repeatedly displays the spinning blues lights as it's refreshing the connection. It makes no difference which quality I choose to connect with. My wifi is solid and fast. One thing i notice is that when selecting a diffrerent quality, for example swtiching from FULL HD (1080p) to HD (720) or vice versa the TV goes blank and switches to the new resolution before the image has even shown the selection being made due to the lag. So what is going on? The TV is receiving data quickly yet there is a significant delay regarding the image. Get an HDMI cable and a mini display port adaptor that never fails. (or wait for the software update later this year which will add Airplay 2.0 to Samsung smart TV's)
Trying to stream a show online with this and is very laggy and slow, I would prefer if it didn’t try to catch up with what was playing on the smaller screen because it skips over important sections. I WOULD EXPECT THIS FROM A FREE APP NOT A $15 WASTE OF TIME!
could not recommend this app. it barely plays videos from my mac to my TV and is apparently blocked by ITUNES to play any purchased content which was the only reason for purchase. save your money and buy an apple TV if you are a MAC user.
This is a solid app which removed the need for me to buy an Apple TV unit to connect my Mac to my Samsung TV. Works great for my uses which include streaming music recording and music notation software on the TV for groups to see. The developer provides fast-responce support on facebook which has helped me overcome any issues I had. I look forward to future versions of the app which I hope will continue to shorten the delay between computer and TV.
My experience with this app is actually pretty good. It is useful to find something to help with playing family videos on the tv from my library which is stored on my Mac. I find the quality really good the sound comes through well (after some initial teething problems) and would certainly recommend it to others looking for a solution. In terms of improvement, if there could be a shortening of the delay between screen and TV, just make sure you turn the monitor so it is not visible from the tv area… can be a distraction. But that is a pretty small issue compared to the problem that this has solved for me and my family. Enjoy
Use this for studio work, and was having trouble getting fully set up but i got a reply within a minute and they helped me through it, and got it working very quickly. Definitely reccommend over any other app and will encourage my producers to buy as well. Well worth the 10 bucks
There is a 5 second gap between the video on my macbook and what is airng on my TV. It’s just not worth it. I thought it would play equally and not have a 5 second gap between the two devices. To add to it, while I was streaming the video on the TV kept pausing while the video on my Mac was still playing. It seemed like a profesional and well desinged app, but it’s really just a begineers app. Don’t buy, NOT WORTH IT.
Sitting here on my 15" MacBook Pro 2018 about six feet away from my Meraki Z3 and the lag over to my Samsung 8 is pretty distracting. Not much difference from HD to 720. Good luck day trading :# Suggestions?
I just boutgh this for my College Dorm apartment so I cans epnd more time on my TV in the living room, its not workung and connecting to my TV at all and i just soend 10 bucks on this for no reason, i am so upset with this !
This app works well. In order to play DVDs on my Mac though I had to download the free VLC app as a necessary work-around. The support staff was very prompt and helpful in responding to my quieries. More instruction and FAQs would improve the app.
Installed and tried to connect to a Samsung TV, it said it couldn't connect and that i should restart. I restarted, got a load error and now I'm locked out of my computer, on with Apple chat support :(
Huge delay times (at least 7-10 seconds) makes the app incredibly hard to use, and the buffering while interruptions while streaming video makes things essentially unwatchable. You're better off watching on your computer screen than dealing with the frustration (that's what we ended up doing). The developer keeps responding to reviews saying the problem is with their internet connection, but I've got excellent, high-speed internet. This app is the only thing that's given it trouble. Look at all the one-star reviews—if this many people are having trouble, the problem is with the app, not our connections. I want my $10 back.
do dont buy this app, its garbage and doesnt work
Would give it a 4.5 stars if I could. Mirrors to the tv great. Only issuse is the small second or 2 lag but irrelevant if you are just trying to watch on your tv whats on your laptop. Glad it was affordable and havent any glitches with it. Does sound after the free add on
Sadly, this will not work for my inteded use due to the resolution being sub-par. I own a design studio in San Francisco, and I present a lot of work on our 60” samsung TV in the conference room to clients. While the mirroring works, the lag between my macbook Air and the TV (4K) is +5 seconds and the resoltion is horrible.
Have this app a couple of years now. Originally very happy with the app but the latest version 3.5 keeps wanting to load and crashes from time to time
Initially had issues but after a support diagnostics it is all working fine and very nice and convenient app...
It does what it says on the tin…elegantly
App works fine but there is a delay between what is displaed on macbook screen versus what is mirrored to TV. Can be very inconvenient at times when making a presentation to a crowd.
Bought and installed and it didnt work. Re started all devices and checked Wi Fi etc but no good Showed TV in list but apart from a count down timer on computer saw noithing on TV
