Perfect for families!. I have been using this app for years now and it has worked so well with my family! It’s a shared calendar so my husband and I have been able to stay on the same page with our kid’s school events, appointments, work schedule, etc. My husband is not one to look at paper calendars but he checks this calendar often on his phone to see if there is any events planned especially school events and appointments. We both work so our work schedules are plotted on the calendar reminding me not to schedule myself to work on the day he is working so I can be with the kids instead of finding a babysitter. This app has been amazing! 👌

Great way to keep family connected. If you have a big family and like to know what direction everyone is going, this is the app for you, especially if you have several active teenagers like myself. Each member of the home has a color, so just a quick glance at the calendar, helps to determine who’s event is scheduled. It also sends alerts to everyone, just mom, or whoever you choose. Another great feature is the option for everyone to add to the grocery list. Members are able to add notes and send reminders as well. This app is easy to navigate and understand, even for a simple un-technological mind like mine. Five stars for sure, definitely recommend! Shout out to this company for making mom life manageable!!

Good calendar for family!. We’ve been using this calendar for a while (began using it to get my husband on the same page and now we’ve added a kid to the calendar). It works great, just like I’d expect from an app like this. We each have a color for our calendars and we use a different color for “family events” where we are all involved. It’s easy to see at a glance, easy to use, and personalizable. You can even create shopping lists, to-do lists, and other stuff. I understand the need for ads in order to keep the app free to use, but lately some of the ads have the “x” to close it too far to the top of the screen and I have to fully close the app and reopen. I can deal with the semi annoying ads here and there, but please fix this new issue where I can’t close some of the ads!

2 month user. This app has made life a lot easier for my wife and I. We have three young kids, and it helps keep all our appointments and such in order with each other and our grandmother. I don’t remember if I paid for the app, but having used it for nearly 2 months, I would pay for it. The ease of sharing appointments between multiple family members is a must. As soon as any family member enters the appointment info, it updates on all family members who use the app. It sends a push notification to the device of the appointment. It’s a must have!!! Update: I have been using this app for about 6 months, and we have added the grandparents to the app. This is a great app and a must have for people who make plans or have a busy lifestyle.

Love it but wish would integrate with more apps. Great calendar. Love that it can be shared with so many family members and all color coded (unless you have a big family then some get grouped-possibly add more colors?) Down side is that it does not integrate automatically like other calendars do (gmail, icalendar, etc…) I have to add to those calendars from an email event - then import here. I want to be able to use just one calenda, where I add directly to this calendar from my email (which I still trying to find the right app because I hate apple mail app). If you can do this it would definitely improve the app. To be honest, I would improve the star rating but I will most likely forget because it is not physically attached to me or added to my calendar :)

All the features. Been looking for a family organizing calendar and this one has the features I was looking for and it’s FREE. I wanted a calendar that events would show up all all phones invited, be able to choose participants for events, color coding for family members, be able I search for an event on the calendar, month and specific day view. It’s very easy to use and synced immediately with my native phone calendar so I didn’t have to transfer anything. If I want an event for me only (kids maybe don’t need to know about it) I add it to my native ph calendar and then don’t share it with family in FamCal. Then, only I can see it in both calendars.

Great!. My mom and dad are divorced and they are always confused on what’s happening. So I decided to look at apps so we can be more organized. I found this app and I told my mom to download it and I would help her figure it out. Once our whole family knew what the app was and we had most of all of our events in the calendar, we were so organized and my whole family said the app was great, which it was. The only problem I have with the app was having to pay for things that were really easy to do. Since our family is VERY big, it takes a pretty long time to get all the birthdays into the calendar, so you have to pay to import all the birthdays into the calendar. Other than that the app was pretty great!

Best Shared Calendar. I rarely go as far to write reviews, but I’m both an organizational and design freak who has searched a long time for a family shared calendar- I have taken my entire family through 3 or 4 other big apps, paying for all subscriptions, and this is the absolute best one on the App Store. It’s clean, incredibly easy to sort through, and the “week” view option makes it a breeze to manage, sort through and work around the exact times of events shared between 5 people. The widget could be easier to see but it is a far, far superior app to the others-and no cheesy PowerPoint graphics, painful fonts or ugly layouts 😁

Didn’t transfer to new phone *fixed. I love this app! I’ve been using it for years and it’s got basically my husband and my schedules and lists for years to come already in here. The only problem is, I got a new phone. I downloaded the app to my new one, logged in, and now it only shows 10% of the info I had saved on the app. It also keeps freezing so I can’t even go into settings to check what’s wrong. It’s the only app on my new phone that does this so I know it’s not the phone. Would love to get it fixed but I can’t find any support online. 💔 - Update- I re-downloaded it and let the app sit open for a long time and then it started working. Yay!

Love FamCal. This is the only way I can get my husband to remember upcoming events. We never noticed how many times something would need to be planned/scheduled, but we wouldn’t be together to talk about upcoming events/appointments so this app has been a game changer! It’s so easy to use, and we love setting reminders to help us keep up with things. It’s definitely easy to use and read and very customizable. We use the shopping lists and actually use them! Before using the app I would make a list on paper and always forget to bring it to the store or it would end up lost in my purse. If you are looking for a a customizable, easy to use, multi-use app for organizing your life, I’d recommend FamCal 10/10 times.

Perfect for family. I’ve been using this app for years. It helps keep our schedules organized and know what events have coming up especially when making appointments I just open FamCal and see the best day and time and it alerts other members immediately. You can also set alerts and add weekly biweekly monthly etc. I also make grocery list on it! You can check it and it grays out and you just uncheck it to add it back to the list so you only have to add once. I started out using it for when bills were due now I use it for appointments, reminders also for my pets medication monthly and even an alert every week to remind to set the garbage out! I basically use it for keeping track of everything in my life! And it really helps to ease my mind bc I enter whatever I need to immediately into the calendar

So far, so good 👍🏽. I keep a separate personal calendar because the one that came with the iPhone has my work connected to it. So I never want to put personal items on it. My old personal calendar no longer worked with iOS 11. Until I started searching new calendars, it didn’t dawn on me that I could get one to share with my husband and possibly kids. This is great! My husband and I share the grocery shopping, etc., so it’s awesome to have list that we can both add to and subtract from. And being able to see each other‘s appointments etc. is great. This is a great tool for any family! I can imagine how good this calendar would have been when my kids were a little younger with all the activities and sports! Having the wall calendar in the kitchen is OK, but this is with us at all times! So far this has been easy to use and more than suits our needs! I have not experienced any bugs are issues.

The Perfect Family Calendar. This calendar is terrific! As a mom, I can put my schedule on it, my husband can put his on it, and my kids can put theirs on it all on one calendar on each persons device with one email/password. It is amazing. As soon as someone adds a new event, the calendar automatically syncs across all of our devices so a glance at any time will show whats going on. We all have our own assigned colors. Planning any family event just got way way easier. The only thing i havnt tried is assigning a picture to each person in addition to their own color. It would be neat if the picture could show up next to their event. Maybe its possible, dont know... havnt tried it. This calendar beats ALL of the others I have tried. Its a simple input... so my 60 year old mother can operate it as well as my 7 year old child. Try it! U wont be disappointed!!

Great App - Must Try It Out. This is probably the best app I’ve used. Functional and very useful. It will help you organize your life and does it throughout your family. I’ve had this for three years and use it every single day. I periodically look at other apps out there and still think this is the most functional and useful out there. Would like a color or two slightly darker than the four they have for a better user experience (less washed out) but it’s overall a minor issue. Hopefully this will get upgraded in time. I’ve had this app for approximately three years and still feel this is the best family organization app!

Friends are Family. You don’t have to have kids to use this app. My friends are my family and we use this and it’s been GREAT! My group of friends and I were always frustrated trying to make plans with each other for upcoming weekends and such without knowing everyone else’s schedules. We’re a very tight knit group of friends who like to regularly hang out and make more long term plans like concerts or events and stuff. I did some research, found this app and had everyone download it and it’s been FANTASTIC. If we’re looking to hang out or make plans we just check the calendar on the app and see if anyone has plans already. It took a while to get everyone to start updating the calendar regularly with when they are busy but now we actually have fun with it! We put things on there like movie or video game release dates. It really is great.

FamCal helped our family!. I’d like to think we’ve been using this app for 1.5 years now; I’d have to go back and look to be more specific. There are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 teens. My husband works 2 full-time fire dept jobs, I work in sales and also take college courses online. Both of our kids have activities or dr appts happening every week! This literally has been the most effective calendar for our family where we can all input different events happening or even just add to the grocery list. The best part about it is having it on our phones! Calendars at home only help when we’re at home and able to view it. With this we can view our schedules at any given time. Can’t say enough good things about the effectiveness and how helpful it’s been to allow our family to coordinate with one another. Thank you!

Great App for Families. My wife and I tried a few years ago to share calendars and could not find an app that worked for us. My wife found this app and having it has made tracking each other's schedules so much easier. There are only a few things I don't like about the app that may improve with future updates if they choose to incorporate them. 1) Holidays listed: there are some holidays listed that I have never heard of and don't need to see on my calendar. My options are to leave them or turn them all off and manually add in the ones I want which I don't want to have to do. 2) No way to interface with a computer: My work calendar is tied to Outlook on my work computer. It would be nice to have the ability to add items (work or otherwise) to my FamCal calendar from a computer rather than punching it in on my phone. More a minor inconvenience. 3) Status for events: Sometimes it would be nice to note a meeting or possible event without being shown as committed to it. The best way to explain this would be to compare it to the options in Outlook where you can "Show As:" Free, Busy, Tentative. There are times my wife has events on the calendar that she wants to see but isn't actually going or hasn't decided. Other than these minor items we like the app and plan to keep using and recommend it for other families.

Mom, wife, and teacher. Love FamCal despite the frequent ads. This is so helpful for our busy lifestyle and large family including teenagers with schedules they forget to tell us about! It helps us keep everyone’s schedules straight as well as grabbing quick things from the grocery list without doubling up on items or having to text each other lists. I love it! The “To Do List” feature is also great!—it’s fun to have pretty much all my organizational tools in one place. The ads in the free version are getting a little too much lately, though. They pop up every time I open the app and won’t let me close out of them to use the app for at least 5-10 seconds.

Great app. I’ve been using this app for about 7 years now. My whole family of 5 has it too. I love that I can organize everyone’s schedule in one place and each family member is color coded, which makes it an easy format to read for kids with busy schedules. We use the grocery list and the kids can add items we are out of any time they use something. I utilize the to do lists for tasks to get done for the week. We also use the birthday and anniversary features to remember those special days. Probably one of our top used apps. Would recommend.

Best Family Organizer so far. I’ve used multiple family organizer apps: Cozi (Gold), Picniic, Whee, and a few others I can’t even remember. For the money, this is absolutely the best app! I love the “today” screen which lets you see everything at a glance instead of going through different tabs. The calendar is easy to use. My son even said it was EPIC and was glad we changed from Cozi to FamCal. The only thing I would like to see is the option to buy the lifetime membership again, as I cannot foresee any reason to change from this app. I emailed customer service about it, but have yet to get a response. Either way, it’s an amazing app, and I highly recommend!

Great family planner!. My wife and kids use FamCal all the time to keep track of each other’s schedule. We have a shopping list so that any time one of us picks an item up we check it off in FamCal and it updates across our group immediately. That feature alone is worth having the app, but the app is capable of so much more. Scheduling an outing with the family is hard to do but in FamCal we can look at everybody's schedule and pick a day or evening and boom! We love FamCal. It’s easy to use, it doesn’t have glitches, and it’s been helping our family stay organized for over 2 years now. I hope this review helps someone decide to try it!

FamCal has been a life saver!!. Being a high school coach, rancher, book keeper for our family business, wife and mom of 2 middle school athletes and an active 5 year old.... this app has saved my sanity these past 2 months. I was looking for a way to track my own games, my kids games, PT appointments, 4-H schedule and our hunters booking hunts and went through a few apps and FamCal has gotten my vote and just been a life saver. As hunters text wanting to book a hunt I can look right away in FamCal and tell them right away instead of having to wait until I get back home to the calendar on my wall. Plus my husband and daughter can both see the calendar and any of us can add an event on there when we need to! So helpful!!!! Definitely recommend!!!!!!

Love the list functionality of this app!. I have been using this app for a few years now. I originally installed it to share kids activity calendars but love the list functionality! I’m a list person. :) I keep lists for grocery and household items. My kids all have the app and access to the lists. If someone needs shampoo or toothpaste they add it to the list. If they want something from the grocery store they add it to the list. We’ve used it for packing lists for trips and moves to college. Most recently I started using it birthday and Christmas gift ideas. The kids can add items to their lists as they come up with ideas.

Perfect app for our busy family life. I love this app! My husband and I have been trying to figure out a way to keep our schedules on the same page and I am so thankful we found this. I work per diem and am always randomly picking up hours. He is able to know what I work so he knows when he is able to pick up any overtime. We have 4 kids and a busy schedule so being able to share our calendars has been so helpful! The only thing I have found so far that I wish it could do is being able to set something for a certain day of the week lasting only for a number of weeks. However, I would recommend this app to anyone.

Keeping our family on track!. This app is great for keeping my family on track. We jot down appointments, meetings, and events on the calendar so we know what is going on each day. The list function is a God send as well. We keep our grocery list there and since the app is shareable my husband or I can do the grocery shopping when the time is convenient because we both have the list! The only thing that I have noticed that I don’t particularly like is if I add something to the grocery list and my husband goes that same day the item does not show up on his list. It’s inconvenient and somewhat annoying but not enough to make me stop using the app altogether. Thanks! Alaina

My “everything” app! I. Best shared app I’ve every had! 😉 All four of us in my family use the FamCal app. We love the color coded dots on the calendar to keep our very busy family organized! All of us can see the app in real time so it’s easy to check what is on the calendar when making plans for events/meetings/ parties/ practices/ vacations/ etc., with a quick glance! We also LOVE the shared shopping list! Anytime one of the kids runs out of something, they just add it to the list! That was it’s not forgotten if mom or dad or sad run to the store alone. The memos are great to for noting quick notes or to save important like snap a quick pic of an address... Or if someone makes and appointment for another family member, they can set a reminder! We literally function around then FamCal app! Best app I have seen on all platforms! :) We have used the free version for a long time and never had an issue! Not once! Our youngest child of 7 years can also login and add things to the shopping list. It’s very easy to use and as I mentioned it’s all in real time! If you’re here reading reviews to find the best app to organize yourself or family, you should try this!

Where is app support?. I have been using famcal—and have loved it—for years. Had an issue once a few years ago that they quickly resolved. Three days ago, I opened the app on my phone and all of my events had disappeared. I checked my husband’s phone and all the events were still there. So I logged out to log back in to see if that would fix the problem. The login screen said my email account was not in use. I checked my husband’s account again and made sure I was trying to use the correct email address. I was. I sent an email to app support and am still waiting over 48 hours later for at least the cursory “we have your email but are very busy” response but I still haven’t gotten anything. I guess I just need to find a new app and start over? I am worried that if I try to recreate my account that it will wipe everything we have stored. So. Kinda bummed because I used this religiously and it’s been inconvenient to have no access to what it is I am supposed to be doing.

Love this App!. Easy to Use and Best Simple Calendar App, I’ve used thus far. No, expenses/costs No, Annoying Ads Everything Need in a Calendar *Reminders *Birthday Icons *High lights different colors for each Individual and per Event. *Future Dates Recorded (Yearly Etc; ) Easy way to Keep Each Family Member in the “Know and Remind” them without having to either doing it yourself, writing it down or forgetting something important. I LOVE the Added Feature that gives directions to where the location is. Then there’s NO QUESTIONS or having to either call/Google nor trying to figure it out as well as, remembering the date/function of what is going on!

Two Households: Almost Perfect!. I have been searching for a shared calendar that can accommodate our needs for two households with children. We use this app to share the children’s doctor appointments, sport schedules, school flyers and it also houses important contacts. For example, we are about to go out of state with the children and I have put an asterisk next to all of the adults that will be traveling with us during that week in case we are unable to be reached for emergencies. This allows the children’s mother to have easy access in an organized location. One thing I would love to see in a future update is: * Allow images and clickable links to be added to events that are viewable from the home screen when the events are occurring. (Hope this makes sense!) The app is almost perfect for our needs. I’ve been searching for one that was appropriate for a situation like ours that didn’t feel purely for one household. It has helped communications immensely. I am also still figuring out how to receive notifications when others add events to the calendar but I’m still new to the app.

Excellent app...and it’s free!. This app has helped my family tremendously. We were using google calendar for work and other items, but that calendar became clogged. This app will import items from google, but also allows us to schedule social events quickly. Tech support responded promptly to the one issue we had. I appreciate having the grocery list that is shared. I can easily text my husband and ask him to pick up items and he can see the list and check the item off. The family to do list is excellent as well. I realize that there are other apps out there that might be better, but they come at an expense. We have encouraged many of our friends to try this app.

Great. Been using it with my girlfriend. We are both going to separate schools hour away. I have classes, track, rotc , and army reserve commitment. She also has school, research, and two jobs. So we are both very busy. This app has been vital in allowing us to plan and invest in each other too. Helps us keep track of each other’s schedules. As well as, keep emergency contacts Of eAchothers in the case of something wrong. Love that the events can be joint or that you can hide events from the others if necessary. That way you can keep a surprise secret without needing a deifferent calendar. I might not be familiar enough. But I’m wanting more push notifications. Apart from that. I love this app. It’s a big help.

Best Shared calendar and list App. This app is AMAZING!! I have tried a handful of different shared calendar and schedule apps, and this is by far the best I’ve ever encountered. When it comes to organizing a household schedule, between my husband and occasional roommates, I couldn’t hope for something better. This app has also been exceptionally useful in maintaining grocery lists, household supply lists, and more. I’ve started using it even for my personal scheduling, as I find it preferable to any of the regular calendars I’ve used.I would absolutely recommend this app for anyone who wants a single place to keep track of their lists, schedules, and more, whether just with themselves or with their roommates or families.

Mostly love it. I love how you can use this across family members. Works great for multiple people. We used to use the standard apple calendar app but everyone else hated getting notified of every event being added to the calendar and inviting people to events with email would not work. Fam cal makes it easy to see who’s going where and when and just notify that person. Better than google calendar on the alert side. Lists- awesome how everyone can add stuff to them at any time. Negatives - ads.. annoying - pop ups and they block the bottom row of info Switching between days is challenging. On the day view you can see yours list but not on the calendar view. You also cant zoom in on the just day unless you go to the other view. (It shows the entire month) Everyone can see all items on the calendar. So if you have a private event, you have to rename it or not put it on the calendar, even though you can select who is going to it. Doesnt work well with apple watch. You have to have your phone to look at most of the stuff and it doesnt update to the current day unless you close the app and restart it. No way to edit users names after you enter them the first time unless you delete the person and make a new one.

Perfect. I am a 27 year old that was paralyzed 6 years ago. This app is perfect for me and my family because I can add a grocery list so if they are at the store- they can see I need eggs and grab be some without even having to call or text. Which I get so many of those a day it just makes my life easier. There’s also a calendar so no one forgets events (or mom-in-law sees that it’s my fiancé and I’s anniversary and know he’s being cared for even if he doesn’t answer his phone). His mom also loves the memo app where I can add our pictures that I don’t think should go on Facebook, but want family to see. Eliminates group text (as my parents are divorced so I have to send everything separately... but not now!! They can just sign in and see what I’m up to! Everyone can comment - giving my family and fiancés family a chance to get to know each other. It’s fantastic. I wish I could edit and create my own dashboard (editing what shows up first to my liking) which would be a neat idea. But it’s an amazing app exactly what I have been looking for. Thank you.

Used to be fantastic. This app used to be fantastic but a couple months ago they updated how they did the ads and now it’s more of a pain than anything else. I have to watch video ads in the middle of the grocery store to check my list about every 3 items and half the time the ads don’t have a close button so I have to exit the app, reopen it and then rewatch an ad to get back to my list. The same goes for making a list, every few items I add I have to wait through a video ad. It didn’t used to be like that and we loved it. It was great for sharing calendars and keeping track of the kids. I considered purchasing the full version to get rid of the ads but it’s too expensive when there are other apps available that do the same thing for half the price. Plus it feels like they are trying to force my hand with the increase in ads which does not make me want to give them any money.

So far so good. I am really likening this app, I haven’t shared with the other parent yet but it’s an easy way to keep track of things. I have a complicated parenting time schedule with so many changes and I keep Callender all over the house my purse my car and this has eliminated most of them! I can easily check things and not worry about losing all of my information. It was easy to put my schedule in and include my mom who often watches my daughter can check who’s picking up and dropping off and get an idea of the time. This is a wonderful option for people who have a lot of people involved in your child’s life. No waiting for a response or worry that you didn’t provide the write times and dates. It’s all there and handy!

Great way to share info. It’s best to add your kids (those who are old enough of course, they WILL need an email address) to this wonderful app. Everyone is able to update the calendar with information (work, trips, games, important dates, doctor/dentist appointments, etc.) and the shopping lists (of which you can create MULTIPLE lists!) which is beyond useful. One of the very best parts? Put something in YOUR calendar on your phone...it automatically imports the data, no duplicate entry needed! I’m enjoying everyone in my house being in ‘the know’ and being able to see what is added over the course of a business day without unnecessary texts. I especially like not coming home from work or the store only to hear that we needed something or someone has somewhere urgently to go. If it's not on one of the lists or in the calendar...there is genuinely no one to blame.

Very useful. Not a complicated app at all. It's the only organizer type that I've ever actually made use of. Normally I download a bunch of them in the hope that I will finally find one that clicks and isn't too complicated or too boring. I agreed to try this with my husband because we never know what each other is doing so the calendar has been very helpful. The to-do list is great because I can finally show him what a ridiculous amount of stuff I need to do and get him to share the load. Shopping list is a plus. Other features too but it's really a pretty good start to organizing your family- as much as possible. Plus, I have ADHD as does my husband and this has helped keep me dialed in to what's happening because normally I forget a lot!

BEST family calendar app, EVER!. I have used FamCal for several years to manage all of our family and my work commitments, but used a paper planner during the last two years. I need to go back to an app-based calendar because of the high demand on my time, and tried COZI. After using both apps, I wonder why anyone would ever use the Cozi app. I DELETED our Cozi account in favor of the free FamCal. There is no rival for FamCal and it is FREE! The functionality is unbelievable. It has every desired view of the calendar, a filter view for each member of the family/team, to-do lists, shopping lists, recipes, birthdays, anniversaries, shared memos, EVERYTHING! I have been able to get everything I need on this one, little, sweet app. Kudos to the developers who created this dream calendar app, and to the team who supports it!

Pretty good. I enjoy this app. I got it so my husband and I could know what was happening in each other's lives. It's helped a lot. My issue with it though is the set duration doesn't have a set duration that works for jobs. I use this calendar most to put my work schedule in and it's annoying to have to constantly change the start time and the end time. Because my schedule is always changing I can't do a recurring event. It would be really nice to have a duration that I can set for 8 and a half hours so that I only have to change the start time and the end time will automatically populate. In any other calendar app that I've used it's either been "trained" for lack of a better word, or it remembers time frames so that it becomes easier after a few inputs. It would be great if that was something that could be added.

Great tool for teens & moms together. My daughter is in High school AP classes and on 2 swim teams, so time is a precious asset. She didn’t use the hard copy planners (yes, we tried many), but since she ALWAYS has her phone, we tried this app. It is perfect for seeing her HW via the to do list and all the exams, tutorials, quizzes, swim practices, etc. on the calendar. I don’t have to ask what’s done or when she has to be at school early - I just look at FamCal. She likes checking off her homework and seeing that item disappear or strike out text. We really like this app!! My suggestion for improvement: when adding items to the calendar, please add a recurring date option that’s not just daily, weekly or monthly. Ex: swim practice alternates every other day so being able to choose random dates for one calendar item would be great.

Best active family calendar!. I’m a happy 2 year subscriber! With 2 kids having multiple extracurricular activities and a husband that travels, this calendar has been awesome at keeping everything in line. I love the color coding and ability to set reminders. It alerts me when my husband plugs something in so it’s great when he forgets to tell me he scheduled something. It can also set recurring events like sports practice with ease so nothing has to be individually added. I love having a combined shopping list so whoever stops at the store can check the list and grab items easily. It also auto imports our flights and hotel stays. They have thought of everything! It has been the most valuable app I pay for hands down.

5 star best app!!!. People ask me how do I stay organized with all the things I do and between 2 businesses that I run. So I show them my FamCal app and briefly explain how it works and quickly show them how I book an appointment, Set a reminder alarm and that’s it. They immediately download the free app and get started just like I did. It’s easy no glitches it’s free and I thought I could never get away from writing my schedule down in the one of those little calendar books that I would keep in my purse. Thank you for making it so easy and teaching me to use my cell phone for all my scheduling and reminder needs. PS my business partner and I share a calendar and my husband and I share another. We love how we can color coordinate appointments, from business to free time stuff as well as we each have our own designated color.

Finally have my life together thanks to FamCal. I used this app a few years ago when taking 19 college credits and working full time, and it really helped keep me in check. Lately I’ve had SO much going on and honestly became so unorganized, so not only have I been more productive since using it again, but it’s been really enjoyable too. I use it for calendaring, creating to-do lists for myself, and tracking groceries. I can see this being my lifetime moving forward. It makes being busy and overwhelmed less stressful! Create a system and let it work for you! This is my system. 😊

Family Calendar. I love Family Calendar. I don’t know how I did without it before. This is my second year with it. Someone showed me how to transfer Birthdays from year to year. That’s just great. It’s my calendar bible. This is a year later. I live by my family calendar. I’d be lost with out it. A year later. I use my family calendar for everything . My husband and I are retired and constantly forget what day or date it is. I check it every day. I use it for appointments, birthdays, anniversaries, everything. As I said before I would be lost without it. I love having it. I’m still using my family calendar daily. It’s great to just pick up my phone and check the date. I would be lost without it. I am older and my memory isn’t as good as it used to be so this calendar really helps. As I’ve said before, it’s my social bible. It’s just great to have.

Love better than Cozi, but I wish.... I’ve used Cozi for a couple of years and then switched to FamCal. Love FamCal. It’s great for color coding schedules, organizing birthdays, anniversaries, grocery lists and various To-Do lists. FamCal is great for immediate syncing too. However, what could make this app even better is if I could reprioritize my To-Do lists (instead of having any new list I make be at the bottom, I’d love to be able to drag them to whatever placement I need them on my last). I’d also wish that Siri could recognize this app instead of just thinking I have no appointments today because they are not on my iPhone colander app (that originally comes on the phone).

Best Shared Calendar I’ve used. The calendar is color coded. You can set reminders and notifications very easily. All you do is download the app and have your family do the same. When you sign up, send out invitations and send whoever you’re sharing with your password and that’s all there is to it. I gave it 4 stars because customizing dates for recurring reminders isn’t very user friendly. Also because when looking at the monthly view it’s difficult to see the entire label and I e found that I have to put the date of whatever I’m needing reminding about in the title with the time, especially if I’m reminding myself in advance, I panic because I don’t know if it’s same day or what, not the best with that. I get disoriented easily due to brain damage. So this shared calendar was. A Godsend to help my family know what I have going on and keeping my family on task. Overall a very good app.

Great family calendar. I like how my whole family has access to the same calendar. I also like that we can all put our separate schedules on there as well. The only suggestions to improve the app would be small personalization ideas. I use another calendar app where I can change color of the days (such as the days I get paid), syncing my calendar with google (to save my info in case the app were to freeze or crash), defaulting my calendar as my home page rather than being brought to the main menu & changing fonts. Those are just a few of my many ideas. If this calendar had all those features I’d only use this calendar app. But for now this & Jorte are my two favorite calendar apps!

Just what we needed 👍🏻. My fiancé and I are trying to keep our eating out to a certain capped amount. We had ordered a tangible desk calendar, hung it on the wall, and the idea was to write down every time we went out to eat and how much we spent. We wanted to keep the tallies fair, and we wanted to shock ourselves by the gross amount of $ spent at restaurants. We figured if it was right in our faces we’d be more accountable. Well, best laid plans and all. We’d forget to write it down more than half the time because we’d be out when the charges occurred. Or we’d forget to write down who bought so we’d know whose turn it was next time. Now we can make an event as soon as the bill comes, color coded by person. The other great features of to-do lists and shopping lists are just bonuses.

Organized and Involved. This app is awesome to keep my schedule and my boyfriend’s organized! It helps us to both know what events are going on and when so we don’t have to constantly ask each other what’s going on this weekend. I work at three different hospitals and one is two hours away, he works and is in a band, and we both have very involved families. This app helps us make it to all the important stuff we need to be at, as well as know which hospital I’m supposed to be at during the week. That way we’re both organized, there is less miscommunication, and we both stay involved in making the schedule not just one persons stuff.

Connecting the family. Great app to keep everyone in the family up to date with what’s going on in our world. Gone are the days of leaving notes scattered around the house and hoping everyone reads them. Great way to coordinate the family which now runs like clockwork. Highly recommended.

Easy to use & so handy for a busy family!. I love the calendar, I just pop in booked meetings / dates etc & can notify hubby so he knows not to plan anything on that day! ;) We use the shopping lists every week too, helps to prevent extras in the trolley & I just add to the list when we use the last of something so I don’t forget later!

Functions. Im hoping to see in the future to add more functions - To be able to add "Future" tasks with reminders!! - Shopping list : add a function to see which member brought which food - History - i would really hope for the tasks that are complated, a function to allow us to keep or delete

Great app easy to use. Enjoy using this app especially the shopping list. My husband and I share the list and we never double up on purchases now because when we buy it we delete it from the list.

Simple but all the basic functionality needed is provided.. Great app. Easy way to share family events and track against each person’s individual commitments. Good tools for shopping and to-do lists. Would be good if there was functionality to save lists for specific recipes or things like camping checklists so that they can be called up when needed, but other than that no real issues. Would highly recommend as basic no frills tool.

Strongly Recommend 10/10. This app is fantastic for families as easy to see what each person has on while being able to add your information. We have been using it for 4+ years, and now it is part of our everyday routine - shopping, events, birthdays, everything.

Love this app!. I tried out a few apps of this type prior to using FamCal and nothing beats this app. I love it! Everything you need. Simple to use. I love how it reminds me of things. I love that I can add memo’s, they are great for taking photos of kids notices from school etc. I love that you can tag new calendar events to specific people. The shopping list is handy too. Love FamCal. FamCal keeps my family on track. I love it. One place to record what’s on, what we need to buy, ideas for holidays, restaurants, gifts. There’s a couple of little tweaks that would be great e.g. ability to upload photos to notes or calendar entries, categories for shopping list but overall I love it.

Best App Ever. I would have to say that this app is the best one I have ever invested in. Brilliant app. This app is very easy to use. My family of four use this all the time and it helps us keep tabs of things coming up. There is a place where you can add notes to events which I use a lot. Would be nice to be able to attach photos or scanned letters but that’s really just being picky. Apart from that I have no problems with this app and have recommended to friends.

Mostly love. A really handy tool for a family split with apple/Samsung. Can’t live without it now! Paid for full version. I wish I could scroll up/down through the months, it would be easier to count weeks. Also a bit of glitching with shopping lists, and adding events, these often don’t show up for each other for an inconvenient and delayed amount of time.

Best family organiser app. My partner is not hopeless in most aspects of life, but dates and appointments completely allude him. I have tried and failed many ways of keeping my three kids and partner’s schedule coordinated, especially when I’m often working long hours in a hospital. When is saw my friend use this, I knew I needed it, and it has been a godsend (I have the paid version). My parter has engaged with it without me even needing to ask. The shared shopping and to do lists are also very useful. More than anything though, I love the way you enter in the time of an event into the schedule. It’s so easy to use. No scrolling, no fumbling, if only all calendar apps used this format.

A great app for tracking family activities. We really recommend this app for planning and tracking family activities. It keeps all family members in the loop and holds everyone accountable! The shopping list feature is also particularly useful.

Awesome coordination app. Makes organising family life between the husband and I super easy. Only recommendation would be a photo upload capability, particularly for shopping lists (so hubby knows what the packaging looks like) or events (and you take a photo of the invite and the extra details it contains).

Love it!. I have never written a review for an App before but this one is worthy. When choosing a Calendar I wanted to use, I downloaded 4 from the App Store and trialled them all. I chose this one, (and deleted the rest). It is user friendly, has a great layout, has all the features I need, it's free, (I hate all those monthly subscription apps), and it's advertisement free! Awesome.

Quite Useful With Some Suggestions. Our family has started using this app and for the most part it is quite good. I have had to treat/input my kids as “adults” in the app so that they have the same functionality but apart from that, my main suggestion is: In the Agenda view of the Calendar section, it would be great if the listed birthdays also showed the age of the birthday, just like it does in the Birthdays section.

Rockin’ my son’s world. My son recently moved into supported accommodation and we needed a way to easily show him what he had in his daily calendar. This was so easy to set up and he can access it himself on his iPad, giving him vision and a feeling of control. The notes section allows for clarity about who is coming to see him, what he’s doing, what wheelchair and even if he needs to dress up. We put reminders in for haircuts and shopping too. Now he is more cooperative in doing his tasks and also any changes to routine or staff are there for him to see. Five stars from us!!

Awesome app!. Great app! Has stopped my husband and I from constantly double booking things. Also makes things easy when organising my shift work so my husband knows what days I’m working and when we need to organise care for our Bub. Definitely recommend.

FIFO COUPLE. My partner and I do two different shifts and only see each other for a week every 5 weeks, this has helped sooo much in the way of organising and visually seeing/ planning how we will spend our time. Only problem I am having atm is when I go to unsee a person on the calendar it lets me deselect them but still shows them. Highly recommend this calendar!!

Saved my marriage!. Prior to using famcal we bickered so much about family events, commitments, work etc in calendars. Now everything goes in famcal and we don’t even have to ask each other for reminders. Our rule: “if it’s not in famcal it doesn’t exist”. Thank you famcal creators!

Great but too shared. Overall great app. Only thing missing is the ability to choose to share task lists/calendars. It’s great to share and know what your family is up to but they don’t need to know every detail about my homework to dos. Similarly my mothers work schedule does not need to be shared (just that she is at work, some details have to be confidential)if she could have a ‘work’ calendar on the app that isn’t shared it would be great. Because of these issues we need 2 separate apps, if it this was fixed this would by far be the best app

Amazing!. My partner and I use FamCal to track our shifts for work. We have multiple uses for it as well such as for our shopping lists, to do lists etc. It’s easy to use and makes it easier for us to keep track of our daily activities.

Not just for the family. This has been a great app. We have been able to modify it to work for us managing my husbands small construction business for job allocation, quoting, plant machine hire. The colour allocation is a great visual overview of the month which is the main reason we have continued to use this app.

Keeps my family organised. We’ve been using FamCal for a few years now and absolutely love it. I’m always telling my friends and family about the features and how ‘if it’s not in the FamCal it’s not happening!’. Our rule is that if there’s already something planned and someone wants to change it, the original poster gets to choose. We use the shared calendar, the shopping list and the to-do list for things that need to be done around the house. We have a regular shopping list and just add to it as things run out. We love FamCal and appreciate how it has made our lives more organised.

Does almost everything my family needs. I have 3 teenagers and this app keeps my family all on the same page, and not just metaphorically. All of our appointments are now on the same calendar and I’ve also trained the kids use the shopping list and to-do lists so I don’t have to remember everything myself. We use most of the features and the only thing that’s missing for us is a place to send each other messages. I’ve had to start a separate group chat and I’d love it if that was added as a feature. Otherwise I’m very happy with it. 5 stars.

Overall best app - minor improvements would make this app perfect. Would like to have font and highlight options. Would also like to have an option to SET repetitive weekly scheduling for children’s reoccurring activities. Fonts could be a little more exciting and custom. Would like to see improvements on the notification settings and options for banners, alarms ect. Overall, best family calendar app I’ve had.

Perfect App. Being a full time working and single mum, this app allows me to communicate with my children in terms of what they need me to get for them. It also enable to look in a glance their daily activities if they put an entry in the calendar.

Great integrated organisational App. A relative told us of this app and we have found it an excellent tool for booking and reminding relevant family members of upcoming appointments or events. Notifications can be sent via text, email or both. I highly recommend this app for busy families to keep abreast of their activities.

Great for separated parents. My ex and I use this to manage who has kids when etc. it works so well. You can have different colours for different things, notes, use agenda view or see it all over the month. Honestly can't fault it. Love it!

Organized & On the Same Page. I love how this app is so easy to use! Without taking lots of extra steps, I can create events, set reminders, and create a To Do list to keep myself organized. Even better is the fact that I can share specific Events reminders or tasks that need to be done with specific members of my family. This app has been a great way for us all to be on the same page and make sure that we are where we need to be when we need to be there and that we are making the best use of our time.

Keeps my family on track. Have had this app for several years now. Easy to use. I like how each family member gets a different color so we can see where our calendars overlap with ease. There is a learning curve, but isn’t there one for everything these days. :-). This has been a great calendar for my sons hs band rehearsals, husbands travel, daughters doctor appointments and my church activities. I also use it to remind me when something is due (for example scholarship applications). It has replaced the calendar on the fridge for us.

Great App - Would Benefit From An Assign Function. Let me just say, I love this app. Coming from a household with several unorganized adults, it makes organizing shopping + important announcements very simple and clear. The ONLY complaint I have is I wish there was a way to “assign” chores. Like, have an option for a chores list + get to assign these tasks to different family members. You can kind of do this with memos, but it would be great if it could actually assign, so that individuals would get phone reminders/notifications to finish their chores. Otherwise, I find this app to be comprehensive and easy to use for all of our family members. Definitely worth getting + using!

10 siblings juggling Mother’s care. A little irritated that I felt trapped into paying, for something I thought was free, after I’d already told my siblings it was free. But if it works out, like I think it will, it will be the ideal tool for managing our elderly Mother’s care. We each simply login and see where there is a hole that needs filling as we work together to make sure Mom has someone there at all three mealtimes and bedtime. So far, appears that it is user friendly and everyone is catching on. It has been a big help, so far, don’t know what we’d of done without it.

Love the list functionality of this app!. I have been using this app for a few years now. I originally installed it to share kids activity calendars but love the list functionality! I’m a list person. :) I keep lists for grocery and household items. My kids all have the app and access to the lists. If someone needs shampoo or toothpaste they add it to the list. If they want something from the grocery store they add it to the list. We’ve used it for packing lists for trips and moves to college. Most recently I started using it birthday and Christmas gift ideas. The kids can add items to their lists as they come up with ideas.

Love it. Shared calendar, to do lists and shopping lists. We have a large family (6 kids). Because off their ages we drive to 3 different schools in 3 different towns. With sports, school, work, and appointments Fam Cal is a life SAVER. This has been great to keep everyone informed. The shared list is awesome! If somebody needs something I say- add it to the list. I don't have to worry about remembering something for them. I have used FamCal for years and it's truly an important asset to our busy lives! We'd gladly pay top$$ for this app.

Given up the paper calendar. Three of us use the calendar and the color coding for each person works very well. I recently had to enter a repeated event with an end date and found all of the prompts in FamCal to enter it the way I wanted. We have been using this app for years and just two weeks ago we had our first glitch where my husbands appointment did not show up on my calendar. Don’t know what happened, I looked at all the settings, couldn’t figure it out. Hope it doesn’t happen again. All in all it’s a good app, we use it several times a day.

Awesome app, love it. This app helps keep my family organized and on the same page! It's been a great tool for teaching kids responsibility and organization. The only reason I docked it one star- and I hope you'll fix this- is because reminder notices set for days prior to the event show up on the home screen without the future date and more than once I've had a momentary heart failure thinking I forgot something! (One more suggestion: make a copy/repeat event option so if we repeat the same event on different days of every week [ie a practice or part time job]. It gets time consuming reentering the same event again and again!)

FamCal Together forever. Been using this app for years. We all know where everybody needs to be in one place. And whomever is scheduled will get a reminder or multiple reminders so that no appointment or event gets missed. Whoever gets to the store knows exactly what to get and from where (Sam’s Club list, grocery store list, Lowes list, etc) With family, friends and relatives birthday and anniversary reminders we’ll never miss an important day for those special people in our lives. Let’s not forget about todo lists and memos that keep us organized. Love this app

Easy to use & superb customer service!. You guys, you must use this app. I am a paper and pencil calendar girl, but let’s face it we can’t always have our calendars with us. I tried the iCal, I’ve tried google, I’ve tried others and they just aren’t easy to manage. This app is the answer. It is easy to use across platforms and multiple devices. Last night I thought I lost everything because it appeared my account was messed up. I emailed the company and they literally responded and resolved the issue immediately with no data lost. Excellent service on top of an excellent product always has me calling it a win!

Great Family App. This is a fun family calendar app, (everyone chooses their own color), and it’s an easy way (connected through each other’s email), to keep up w/one another’s schedules, including your adult kids. No more sticky notes, or checking your purse calendar, or waiting to ck your home calendar, when planning. Just put the event in the calendar, add address of appt or event, & notify some or all of those connected to your digital calendar about upcoming events. Great way to plan a surprise event! We love it❣️😁👊🏼😎👟🌺

Great app. I’ve been using this app for about 7 years now. My whole family of 5 has it too. I love that I can organize everyone’s schedule in one place and each family member is color coded, which makes it an easy format to read for kids with busy schedules. We use the grocery list and the kids can add items we are out of any time they use something. I utilize the to do lists for tasks to get done for the week. We also use the birthday and anniversary features to remember those special days. Probably one of our top used apps. Would recommend.

Great Application. This application is great for individuals w/ a family, a business or need to have multiple people to be in the same page! Its easy to use, easy set up and easy to alter. You have a calendar that keeps all things organized. What I really like is the option to set up appointments that only I can see, just by clicking on/off a person that has access! It keeps myself and all who are on the platform informed. I wld definitely recommend this application to anyone!

Amazing App for organizing my family!!!!!. Complete with household and regular shopping list, calendar, can track relatives and everyone’s birthday; make a little profile with color coded dots and a profile pic for things that are just for certain people in your family. Literally *thee* perfect app for the organized working/home mother!! I have tried sooooo many options and have been very disappointed until now! I even made my daughter get it and use it on her phone; we schedule her homework, she can see family events, school dates, etc...

Helpful App. I really like being able to coordinate all our family calendars. The colors help to know who’s calendar item is who’s. You have to go through and approve your calendar items to show up on the family calendar for others to see. I can kind of see why you might not want to share everything from your personal calendar. I have had problems getting events to update on FamCal when I updated it on my personal calendar. There also doesn’t seem to be an option to unshare an event once you have shared it with the family.

Using and loving for years. My husband and I have been using this app for years and have never been tempted to look for something else. Our calendar is clean, simple yet advanced if needed. Having a joint calendar that we both can add to is great for not overlapping things. I have all family and friends birthdays entered on the calendar so I can see those visually each month with the little gift icon. The shopping list is shared, so I can add stuff even if he’s at the store if I forgot anything. It’s a great app, definitely recommend.

Pretty good. Overall the app is nice, it is aesthetically pleasing and is like most of the family organizing apps. I have downloaded a few to see which I liked best. Sadly this wasn’t the winner. Pros: I really like the calendar view for this one and the fact that the I pad version isn’t just a pixilated version of the phone app. Cons: the one thing that gave this app second place is I like being able to assign my to-do tasks a specific day, for example I would like to be able to make a to-do task that repeats monthly or bi-weekly, I would also like to be able to set the task for the week to plan out the week instead of it being a calendar event.

Efficient family organization. This app will change your family’s organization and efficiency. It cuts down on the amount of ‘remember to do this’ conversations and allows anyone to add items to shopping lists and to always have your lists with you, plus see all events at a glance across family members. I can’t speak highly enough about this apps’ features for only $25 a year. When used by all family members and across multiple families, we seamlessly keep track of grocery lists across multiple stores, to do lists, and events.

It's made an amazing difference.... I'm terribly forgetful; my wife is always on top of things. This app has been so helpful to me. I don't have to constantly ask her to repeat our plans & schedule, or search everywhere for where I wrote down the details or re-read a dozen emails in my archives. This is a fantastic way for a family (or a some other small group) to stay on the same page and simplify communication. It's so much better than other free options, and even better than the expensive options. It's clean, intuitive, and robust. It's one of my favorite apps!

Love it so far, but want some things it doesn’t have. This app is awesome. Especially because you can access all of it for FREE! I was expecting something I had to pay for eventually, but no, it’s all free. I refused to pay for the family scheduling apps that cost an arm and a leg. I love everything about this app, but I wish it had more. I would love a recipe feature, and a meal planning feature. But, maybe that’s why it’s free. I still use it for this, it’s just a bit harder than it would be if it was a real feature. I have never written a review for an app, but this one really is great. So glad I found it!

Great app. Love this app. It’s great for families that are always on the go like mine. So much you can do and link with other apps. The one down fall I have is that if you set for only 2 out of the 4 or however many in your family everyone can still see that. In most cases that’s not a bad thing but we have 2 children that go to other homes and not that the other parents look but they can. I would recommend for an upgrade to be when you put something in only have it show for that person or be able to control what is seen for each person. Such as an administrator or manager for each person.

Great app, until it stops working right. Customer service is silent.. Update: took two days to hear back from customer service, by then we had fixed it by doing the tech support 101 answer of logging out and logging back in & restarting phone. Hopefully this bug doesn’t happen again. I wrote the below feedback to customer service and still haven’t heard back. So glad this subscription just renewed for a year, when my bid and and I can’t see each other’s updates correctly. What the heck? I bought this app so my husband and I can share calendars and to-do lists. However, recently we can’t see each other’s and collaborate, even on shared to-do lists. We can see activity updates from notification screen but when we try and access that to-do list we get the attached error: “This list has not been downloaded yet. Please wait a moment” and then nothing happens. Is this a known bug that is being fixed? Please help troubleshoot why we can’t see each other’s shared to-do lists anymore. Thank you!

Love it. This app has everything I was looking for but had not asked for. I was looking for something easy that my 11 year old son and I could use. I was also looking for a memo app and grocery list app. When I saw this had the format I was looking for I was happy but when I saw they has a shopping list and a memo list and a to do list that were all shareable I was thrilled. Sold!!!! We can all function as one while keeping our independence. My son doesn't have to call me to ask me what he needs to do. I don't have to worry that i will go to the store and come home to realize i forgot the milk. love it!

Any other.... I haven’t found any other calendar online that can handle the number of appointments this family has. There are 4 people in my little family and we stay home most of the time because of Covid-19. However when we have appointments we go in different directions to do different things all on the same day, so it seems. This calendar keeps us on track and on time. It’s easy to use, just schedule your appointment, then before you put your device away log it in and you’re set. If I can do it you can too. Bonus!!! It’s free!!! YAY

It’s good but the forced ad-watching (with sound!) is infuriating.. I originally thought this app was awesome. It does everything I need. But then it started doing ads really frequently, sometimes playing video with sound, and I can’t close it for awhile. It defeats a lot of the value of quickly checking my list. It doesn’t even tell me how to pay to get rid of the ads. I’m debating stopping using the app because I’ll be in the grocery needing to quickly check off something and move to the next while a kid is trying to talk to me and some stupid ad starts to play and goes on for like 5 sec. it makes me want to scream.

This app THO!!!. I love love this app! I do NOT have my life together but this sure as heck helps. Everyone knows where every one is suppose to be. Hubs still tries to play like he don’t know. #HeLyin What I would for sure change…. (And this why they lost a star…. Really it’s only like half, but that’s not an option) there needs to be a way to upload documents or photo to an event. It’d be nice to add flyers or my kids hourly pic schedule to “picture day” cause dance pictures are ALL DAY LONG and I don’t want to type all that in when I can just upload a picture of it.

One time payment!. This is the only calendar that you only have to pay for it one time I’m testing it out before I purchase, but so far seems really good. I had to look for a app calendar because Apple calendar was not showing both people the events that we needed to see only one person could see all the events while the other was left blind… so this app has been showing us both the events so we think it is definitely worth it. Plus it is fast and not clunky like some other calendar apps so we like this one for sure. :)

Too many ads and now with sound before you can do anything!. Free version-We have been using this app for a few years and was mostly great. My husband couldn’t get it to sync with his other calendar so didn’t use it much. I enjoyed it but am now deleting it. Every time I try to add or view an event or item, an ad pops up! Was dealing with that but now the ads have sound and you have to listen!! I understand you have to make money but this is too much! Takes too much time to add an item and I easily forget what I am adding by the time the ad is over. And to have to deal with that at the grocery store when trying to view list to shop is so annoying! Ugh!!!

Amazing for our family. For our young family of 4, this truly has been a game changer. Our children have a lot of medical appointments (more than most children due to their conditions). This app helps us stay organized with all our appointments and other life events. I love the other features too such as: anniversary dates, ability to capture important notes, to do lists, and the recipe section now! Amazing app, I payed for the premium version and do not regret it even the slightest.

Helping my unorganized self get organized. I have always had a hard time making a habit of keeping track of appointments and to-do lists, especially when I would try to keep track of it all separately with the default iOS apps. FamCal puts everything I need to stay on track into one app. I would give it 5 stars if it were made a little easier to color coordinate different events and make remove and add holidays, like the ability to generally customize the calendar more. The calendar shows many international holidays throughout the year, many of them I had never heard of. It’s interesting to know, but it would be nice if holiday events could have their dot removed from the calendar or shown in a different way. Sometimes it gets confusing when you see the holiday markets mixed in with your own custom markers. Other than that, it’s easy to use with multiple people and makes it very easy to keep track of everything you need.

This app is great.. My family uses this app and it’s great. With one child in college another one in high school and two little ones it has been extremely helpful and everybody being on the same page with what’s going on in our family. I love the fact that there is to do list and tasks. The only thing I wish that this app would do is have it where I could add some thing that said to do or a task and have it where I can add a date to it. That would be a phenomenal addition that maybe in future could be looked at.

Such a help for a disorganized and busy family!!. This app has made life so much easier!! I love the color coding so we know which kid is doing what. I like that we can sync calendars but don’t have to sync/share each appointment if it’s not relevant to the other person. We had another app downloaded for 3 days and it was NOT user friendly or helpful so we searched and found this and I’m really glad we did!! I’m disorganized sometimes bc we’re so busy and this is helping me so much! My husband is enjoying it too and now we’re on the same page!!

Great app for families!. There are five of us in our household, including people ages 10, 14 & 20, and it is extremely helpful. Especially for very busy families like us. Work schedules, appointments, etc can be color coded to each person. Anyone can add items to the shopping list so when I go to the store, I just pull up the app and check items off as I put them in my cart. Sometimes the lists lag and I don’t see things someone else added but completely swiping out of the app and going back in usually clears it.

So Helpful in keeping us organized. The first time we saw this app we had hoped that it wouldn’t let us disappoint like some of the others. FAMCAL has done everything we could have wanted and more!! For a mobile family of five, that two parents who work full, a college age student, and two younger children in competitive sports it can hard to plan how to best move around. Between practice, games and routine family errands FAMCAL has been just the thing we’ve been looking for.

Almost Perfect. So far I love everything about this app. I use I for home and my business (all in one) so my family can see what’s going on. I like that we as parents can control what we want our kids to see or not see on the calendar. Love the shopping list and that everyone can see them and they update so that when we are at the store and something gets added that item can be bought at that time without a phone call being made. ***Id like to see that there be an option to add things to the calendar on a bi-weekly, 1st week, 2nd week, 3rd week, 4th week basis. These are all instances that have to be added manually at this time 😕

Perfect for family. This app is perfect for our family. I needed to be able to enter things on a calendar all could see, but only remind certain family members. And most important- include an Apple Watch app. We have a child with working memory issues. He cannot carry his phone to classes, but can wear his watch. This app sends reminders of appointments and items due on his wrist and we no longer have missed lesson notifications. This is the perfect calendar to keep track of active families.

Great app but I wish there was one more feature. I love this app it is probably the best app I have used for family calendar planning. I love the memos feature we use it for meal planning and it works great because it shows up on the today tab to give me a snapshot of the day. Shopping list is super convenient because one of us can add things we forgot from home while the other is at the store. The only thing I would add is a calendar widget that can go on my Home Screen or a way to sync it to my iPhone or google calendar. That would make it 5 stars for me.

Very useful app!. I needed something to keep my family up on doctor appointments, planned outings and what not. My husband is an OTR Driver so it’s hard for him to keep up and remember things since he doesn’t have daily access to our wall calendar at home. I found this app and decided to give it a try. So far, it is working out great! I can set events for and notify specific people or all, save birthday’s to remember, have it remind me hours/days/week in advance of the event, etc. My husband gets the notifications, so he knows what is going on. This has helped us so much!! I highly recommend this app to anyone who needs to be organized.

Chaos Control!!. This app has kept our schedules meshed in a way that is easy and fully functional. We have used FamCal for years. When our kids were in high school and going separate directions with sports, school, functions and work schedules as a family we could coordinate in one place and everyone knew what page everyone else was on. It truly simplified our lives. Now with an empty nest it still serves as our main calendar and schedule keeper for our busy lives.

Love it!. This app has been helping keep our family organized. I mostly did it for the kids so they don’t get frustrated trying remember what is going on and who to look for at school dismissal. I put the widget on the kids phone so they can see after school whether it’s a bus day, car line or who has practice and who is picking them up. I added hot lunch days as well. Entering everything is so quick! There is less chaos in the morning and this has truly helped our family streamline everything. Thank you for this easy, and user friendly app!

Updating my review after a couple years of using.. This app worked so very well for a while but now nothing shares to the members or everything is duplicated. It used to keep us very organized and efficient, not so much anymore. Not sure what happened Previous review. This app has made it so easy for my family to keep up with appointments and shopping. It eliminates double appointments. My husband and I have lots of appointments and were stacking them by accident unsure of each other's already made appointments. This app has made that a thing of the past. My kids can ad things to the shopping list from their phones. Very easy, very useful

Great way to sinc multiple schedules. We were struggling to merge our family’s schedules on paper and also tried a different app that just wasn’t working. FamCal is perfect!! User friendly, sends alerts, color coated for quick glance recognition, and is simply essential to our family operating like a well oiled machine. My husband and I both have complicated work schedules that we add into the app. Then with three kids between 4-15 yrs old, we are able to add in appointments, school priorities, and sports/extra curricular activities. I highly recommend FamCal! Oh, and it’s free with a few advertisements.

Great, as long as you buy the subscription. Our family used a different family organization app for years (for free), but the company decided to shut it down. After doing a little research I settled on this one to replace it. Initially we tried using the free version, but the number of advertisements didn’t allow us to use the app efficiently. The subscription rate is small, and other bonuses that came with the subscription (like calendar previews) significantly improved usability, so it was worth the cost for us.

Love better than Cozi, but I wish.... I’ve used Cozi for a couple of years and then switched to FamCal. Love FamCal. It’s great for color coding schedules, organizing birthdays, anniversaries, grocery lists and various To-Do lists. FamCal is great for immediate syncing too. However, what could make this app even better is if I could reprioritize my To-Do lists (instead of having any new list I make be at the bottom, I’d love to be able to drag them to whatever placement I need them on my last). I’d also wish that Siri could recognize this app instead of just thinking I have no appointments today because they are not on my iPhone colander app (that originally comes on the phone).

Keeping our family on track!. This app is great for keeping my family on track. We jot down appointments, meetings, and events on the calendar so we know what is going on each day. The list function is a God send as well. We keep our grocery list there and since the app is shareable my husband or I can do the grocery shopping when the time is convenient because we both have the list! The only thing that I have noticed that I don’t particularly like is if I add something to the grocery list and my husband goes that same day the item does not show up on his list. It’s inconvenient and somewhat annoying but not enough to make me stop using the app altogether. Thanks! Alaina

Love it!. It syncs with my calendar (google and Apple). I can add multiple shopping lists and move items between them. I can have multiple to do lists that are labeled how I want them. The “Today” screen shows what’s on the calendar for today and all off my to do lists and shopping lists. We can share this with multiple family members with a shared password and our separate own emails. And this is the free version! There are ads. It makes it a little inconvenient when typing out your lists, but I will definitely buy the app to get more of the perks.

Great for working parents!. My husband and I work full time and have three kids (ages 6, 4 and 2). It was so hard to keep track of all the kids appointments and our personal and work functions in one place. Famcal pulls in our work calendars on our personal views and allows us both to see any added appointments, birthday parties and play dates. We mounted an iPad in our kitchen with the app so we also have a "wall calendar" that we can look at or add to when we're at home. The shared to-do lists and shopping lists have also been wonderful. We love it!

Excels where others don’t. This app is exactly what I have been looking for. I take care of an elderly parent and this helps keep my days in order...not to mention my life. With the ability to create customs lists I can creat things todo for every day and shopping lists that I take with me while running errand in the errands list. It keeps track of doctor appointments and medications lists and so many other things that I need on a daily basis. I have tried other shared calendars but this seems to be the best and the least frustrating. I highly recommend this app to anyone who needs to organize their life and family.

Not good for multiple kids/events at the same time. After looking at several calendar apps, I chose this one and paid $24 to upgrade for the entire year.... what a waste of money. It won’t let me add multiple events on some of the days, others it will. I have two children in sports and I was hoping I would be able to keep track of everything on here but it will not let me schedule 2 events at the same time or in a close time slot (For example, volleyball practice starts at 5pm, I was able to put it in the calendar, but the soccer game starts at 5:15 on the same day, and it would not let me add it). Maybe I need to delete and reinstall but loosing everything I’ve already put in is a giant pain. Maybe I’m doing something wrong??? If the above proves to be the case, I give this app 0 stars.

Great app! And easy to use even for kids.. Really helped organize kids activities with work meetings for our family! I’m able to list grocery items and task that need to be completed. No more missed events and everyone is notified and reminded. Also kids are able to insert school assignment project due dates and test on the calendar! No more last minute store runs for supplies on projects due the next day!! and The BEST part is Everyone has access to calendar on their phones. And you can choose who is reminded or notified! So everyone is notified! Love it!
