The BEST. UnFade is the best, or one the best apps for restoring pictures. I also use it as a scanner! The app is user friendly and the features are great! Definitely recommend!

Just what I needed, Perfect. I needed to take pictures of documents. This app was able to see the edges and took really good pictures. The app also allowed me to save the pictures to the photos app. Excellent experience!!!!

From files??. Great app but I have old photos that only exist electronically on my iPhone. Would be great to be able to add those to my photo album as well without having to making a print so I can scan with this app. Please consider adding this feature. Thanks.

Great Way to Save photos. Brings old worn out photo to life and easy to enlarge the pictures for greater details. A lot less costly than having prints made. Very easy app to you.

Stupidest app ever. You can only fix photos that you can use your phone’s camera on. I have like thousands of digitized photos that I would like to fix but can’t unless I print them messed up, then take a picture of them. This is stupid.

Unbelievable photo preservation. I was able to preserve photos for my wife on her 50th surprise birthday party of pictures that were taken throughout her lifetime. These are extra special photo preservations since my wife has multiple sclerosis. These pictures are now preserved for our children and grandchildren. Great quality and very easy to use. Thank you for developing this product

But where are the photos stored?. Not clear where the photographs are stored. I would like to know. Other than that works well as advertised.

The best.... I have lots of old Polaroid photos that are losing their finesse...this app makes it possible to save those memories in a ‘true’ color. I luv this app...it’s the best!

Excellent. So far I have scanned some older (1960s) faded pictures - and they look brand new! Like I just took them yesterday! Let’s see how it works with iCloud now. More to come.

Super easy. Fantastic app. Easy to use and the crop like feature for getting the photo uploaded lets you make torn edges and angles clean and just a Fab product all the way around. My only regret is that I didn't use it once I got it, I waited months before checking it out.

Love this app!. Really quick and easy. Sometimes you have to be mindful of the angle you’re taking it because it might capture part of the background of the physical photo, but other than that, it’s awesome! It also allows you to edit the photos within the app — super cool!

Quick and perfect photo capture!. I’m capturing everything I have with this app!

Love this app- it on my top 3 essential apps. Takes crisp images of original old fashioned photographs, if you angle your phone just right, they come out looking like they were taken with my phone. It has a crop option too. The very cool thing is that I can take boxes and boxes of old family photographs and have them on my phone for easy access, whenever I want to reprint or show off my baby pics lol. I do like this app, I like that you have the option of storing them on the app or transfer your pics to your phone, I do both. Perfect way to back up those priceless memories, than just having the originals in a box and running the risks of being damaged or lost forever.

Sustaining memories for lifetimes to come. This app is amazing! It’s not perfect by any means but it takes about 5 mins to get through over 40 photos, which would take so much longer to individually scan into a computer. So easy and automatically crops them for you. Just amazing. Now I can help my family digitize our (thousands) of photos from growing up for cheap!!

Unfade Pro. Love it. Great app. It would be nice if you could do 2 or 3 pictures at a time. It does Avery good job of cleaning up the picture.

Impressive results. This app was crucial for creating a slide show of old photos for a funeral. I could not have done it otherwise. I was thankful for how easy it is to use even in a stressful situation.

Very nice... except you must take camera shots. The fact it does not support opening an image from camera roll seems to be the most absurd decision I have seen... I have tons of film negatives digitally scanned, which could do with processing, but I’d have to print first then take a photo, so I can print the final result — again? Fix this one and it merits 5 stars!

Once in awhile. Once in awhile you stumble on old prints and need to copy them. Reloaded a few apps from iCloud. And this one still loads and works. Wonderful. I hope you keep it up.

A photo junky's must have!. I have so many old photos. This app is great at photographing the original photo so you can't even tell it's been photographed. Just try it. Seriously. I'm using it now to send a photo of my doggie, to my mom 1,000 miles away. She had to go to sleep yesterday.

Handy but missing features. This is a great portable scanner, but I wish it gave You the option to run photos saved on your phone through it, instead of only being able to scan actual photos.

Works well. I have a pro scanner I have been using for photos. While these photos aren't at the resolution of my current solution, it's much faster. I was able to do an entire photo book without having to take the photos out of the album. Highly recommend it.

Good can be great. Its nice and beautiful but needs more enhancements. Would be great if can take a photo of a complete album page and then find the single photos and organize them in albums. Since many of our old memories are sticked to albums with plastic covers on them that can not be removed after all these years.

Pretty convenient. I have two apps in one now. Before I did though, I was always caught in a funk. Sometimes in many long lasting sessions of choosing what filter. But I hate having to choose and at the same time I was choices as well. But now I'm just glad I have less work to do and less data used as well. Good by two other app unmentioned, hello UNFADE!

Incredible.. Several years it took my wife and I weeks to scan several thousand photos. This app would of made cut that effort to a day. Photos looked great, and it was super easy to share them via iCloud Sharing and email. Also exported to iCloud Drive for backups. Perfection.

Not bogus at all!!!. Not bogus. Worked perfect the first time I tried it out. Point the camera at a pic and it finds the pic and takes a pic without me having to do anything. Then will detect and automatically crop out any background when you press crop!! PLUS, stores all photos in albums on the cloud. Got to say this is a very helpful app. Very much worth the price :)

Super app for scanning photos. I have scanned several hundred photos using this app. Some were in albums, others were loose. The app does an impressive job detecting edges and applying filters. Use a setting with strong indirect light. For loose photos, place them on a contrasting background. Launch the app, hover the camera over the photo, follow on screen directions, and voila! Your photo is scanned. Looking forward to improvements that will allow people to be tagged, locations captured, etc. Great app and a great way to digitize family albums and loose photos.

Makes digitizing old photos easy. Simple to just use your phone instead of scanning. I made a fun photo book for my mom's 75th birthday, tracing her life from birth to now. Family sent photos and with quick snaps, I had them in the app. Love the simplicity, but I do wish the app offered some color correction features. You can use a filter, but that's not the same as correcting the color. Other than that, perfect for my needs as an amateur!

Pictures. I uploaded 3 faded pics and didn’t make any difference, so why pay for it? Very disappointed!

Great App- saves hours of time. This Little app saved me hours of time trying to fix some old photos. I needed to lighten them up and make them look new and the filters did the job. I have several other apps and I know Photoshop, and I kept coming back to this and then finally did all the rest of the photos that I had here. I can't tell you how many hours it saved me. Great app. Keep up the great work, I will always have this app on my first screen.

Scanner replacement. I've really missed having a scanner (I still have a great one, but it no longer has drivers) but this app has replaced 90 percent of what I used to use it for (mostly pulling black and white line drawing into either Illustrator or Cinema 4D.)

Powerful tool. I have been using Evernote scanning tool for work documents and always wanted something similar for photos. I find this useful for scanning craft project instructions so I have the accompanying photo steps in color. Have also used for quick scans of old snapshots to send to friends. Clean simple interface. Easy crop correction. Wish it had manual color correction tools akin to apple photos. All it has is set of useless filters cannot manually adjust colors/light just rotation and crop

Super Easy, Super Fast, Super Quality. .....So, what else does a person need? WOW! I can't say enough good about this Ap. I'm soooo inept when it comes to this sort of thing yet even I was able to go right to it after once reading through the directions. Now to me, that's AMAZING!!!!! I love using it and I've already gotten one whole album done in less than a half hour (over 180 pics).... looking forward to completing my other albums now- in no time at all. THANK YOU SO MUCH for a most wonderful, terrifically simple & easy way to digitize my old photos! Really... true heartfelt gratitude.

Too many quirks now. I downloaded this app as a freebie from Starbucks. I first opened it on my iPad. When I hit the prompt to go to the home page my screen started flickering white and black which froze my home button. I had to do a hard restart in order for the screen to shut off. I quickly deleted the app. On my phone, it still shows as waiting to download. I'm not sure why this is but, so far, it has been impossible to delete from my phone. Based on the other reviews it looks like a good app but my experience has been a little different.

You'll want this app.. This is truly an app that is a pleasure to use. I got it knowing in the near future we would be cleaning out my parent's house and needed a way to manage irreplaceable family photos. It's not instantaneous, but it is a very simple process. The note feature is outstanding to be able to preserve the handwritten notes on the back of photos. The developer and support team have quickly answered (and resolved!) a couple of questions I've had. I highly recommend this app.

Amazing!. I really love this app! It's so easy & fast to use to quickly scan & color correct old photos. I recently came across a stash of old photos that we wanted to share with family at Thanksgiving. Thanks to Unfade, my job is almost finished! It would have taken me many more hours & weeks to be where I am today. The hardest part is getting the photo or document positioned with no glare from lighting above (which Unfade will tell you that natural light is the best!) and the next tricky part is making sure the auto detect feature accurately captures the entire picture! You just have to look closely and be wary of how you hold your phone while you're getting the next pic ready - you might get some unwanted snaps, but that's so easy to fix too! You can save the retouched photos right to your camera roll and then do whatever you want with them. I am so happy to have found this app - it's been a timesaver & a sanity saver for me!!!

Easy to use, great app. I am very pleased with this app - actually very excited about it. It does an amazing job at scanning the photos without any other equipment except your phone. It immediately improves the quality of the photo and allows you to crop as needed. I think it takes the photo rather quickly, so it seems rushed. You can crop photos to your liking. Photos remain in app until exported I give it 5 stars for ease of use and quality of photo scanned with your phone!! Really worth while if you have lots of old pictures stuck on a photo album.

Blurry scans. App won't focus on photos anymore for some reason, so all scans are blurry. Used to work great.

Great Easy to use App. So far I have only used this to scan some documents that I needed to email but it worked great. The app quickly scans the photo/document, shows you a preview of the picture with some cropping, and then moves on to the next photo/document. I was then able to fine tune the cropping for each page of the document. I would recommend this app.

Definitely would recommend. The app was a breeze to use and it captures the photographs very quickly - sometimes too quick, but the delete button is just as fast. I used it for the first time tonight to scan four photos which were not flat or in a photo album, they were stuck together and had to be peeled apart and some had curled - the app automatically compensated and there wasn't any obvious distortions.

Best Way to Save Old Memories!. My family has a lot of old photos that I have been trying to capture digitally and this is by far the best way of doing it that I've come across. So much easier than trying to use the regular camera on my phone or iPad! Love it!!

Perfect For Scanning Old Photo Albums. I'm a longtime user/fan of ScanBot, so when I saw they crafted a photo-centric digital scanning app, I tried it immediately. After quickly scanning hundreds of snapshots and photos it confirms my expectations, that it's PERFECT for what I'm trying to do!!! Namely, bringing along my many hundreds of old standard paper photos into the digital age and merging them into my cumulative searchable archive (Google Photos). Un-Fade works great! This is a first release of what surely will become a five star app. Looking forward to features that will easily allow me to tag individual and batches of old photos with correct location and date information. That will bring the 5th star.

Didn't work trying to scan images in a book. I tried using the Unfade app to scan images in a very old book (not a photo album, but I figured it should be the same principle). It didn't work because the app kept automatically taking photos of the page, and I couldn't control what it was focusing on. I had to cover up the camera to get it to stop, and I couldn't get the app to include the captions that were next to each image. Secondly, I tried to save an album of 3 photos to the apple Photos app on my ipad, but nothing happened, and the app didn't give an error message. I had to open the album and save each image one at a time.

Old photo Mom. Love this app it’s the best!

One of favorite apps!. Just downloaded and used into impromptu on a bottle of tea. I like the uniqueness of the app and simplicity, one specifically is how the crop feature allows me to alter the photo and cause a warping affect. I'm glad I downloaded 'Unfade' and will see what I can do with my shoebox pics.

Don’t purchase this. This is does NOT work! There are other free apps that work much better!

It's a good start. PROS: I like the fact that it will continuously scan photos. CONS: I would like to see it improve with distinguishing backgrounds I placed a black-and-white photo on a bright orange background and it could not figure out where the picture was. Also I did not appear to have a deskewing feature such as apps like CamScanner. It made the first picture I scanned as the cover of the album but when I cropped the picture the cover remain uncropped. I could not figure out how to crop the cover picture or change the cover picture of the album. I think the developers have done a good job so far but they have quite a ways to go to make this a serviceable application.

Also, this app makes it too easy to make an extra copy to share with friends and family. It is great for organizing your photo albums digitally if you are trying to save space or want to edit photos.
