•iPhone X compatibility
I definitely recommend this app works great.
I received the 10 code option. I easily loaded the Norton VPN on all my family Apple devices. It’s as simple as loading the VPN app and logging in, after the initial set up is completed on the first device. It was a little more difficult to load in our chrome book which we have for the iready program that just does not play well with Apple, ironically, given its nomenclature. The only downside is the VPN sometimes is not auto selected when I turn on my phone so I have to enable it. It would be nice to enable it once and not have to do it again until I turn it off.
Used to have frequent issues connecting but I have definitely noticed a huge improvement lately. Connecting is now fast and seamless. Thanks for fixing this. Using public WiFis is no longer scary for me.
Just set it up a day ago. Relatively easy to use.
Not wild about the free-month-followed-by-automatic-monthly-charge offer as the means of getting a measly 30 minutes of free but very slow airport WiFi.
VPN:stands for very protective now, i feel safe when i use my computer at the coffee house
I signed up for the 30 day trial and though it seemed fine it just seemed a little overkill for me so I deleted and canceled about 2 weeks ago. My card was charged 3 days ago and I have tried to contact the company for a refund but have yet to receive a response to my email. I am frustrated by the lack of response and my inability to find someone to help me fix this.
They seem to have too many subscribers and not enough vpn servers. Use another service
This thing is a pile of manure. It can never find a server.
Very easy to set up and does not impact data speed. Good to use to offer secure wi-fi connections.
Brilliant! Easy to use, safe and secure.
Just installed the new version, released to resolve the reliability problems. Seems to have introduced a new problem where it loses the VPN server and then refuses to reconnect to that server or any other. We have one iPad that will not connect at all since the upgrade was applied.
App crashes on opening. Unable to turn wifi security back on!! I’m wasting my subscription.
It has been disconnecting for a few times now, just this morning I realised it was turned off. I don’t know why or how? But yeah. should I be worried? Because I do have a lot of personal things on my phone, bank apps, emails and personal information.
Works very well in unsafe WiFi sites. Good to have peace of mind. Well recommended.
App is constantly dropping out and spend time trying to reconnect. It never ever clearly identifies my actual location. It often slows down my data speed to the point I have turned it off at risk. Seriously not impressed for what is meant to be a " Norton" product
Good travel app to avoid hacks from simple local INternet IP SP
It alright. Can stuff up some stuff that requires your location like audible but as long as you turn it off when using it theres no problem.
Norton was working fine until a few days ago however now some web sites and apps I use regularly are not available for what ever reason. When I turn off Norton everything works normally. Please advise how to fix this issue.
Norton WiFi Privacy VPN для iPhone, iPad
Have only used for a few days. So far no negative issues.
My only complaint is that I conduct a lot of Skype, GotoMeeting and WebEx sessions and at times I have to turn off the VPN to get a connection. I understand that these may potential avenues of attack, but I wish the dev team would create a white list of sorts. At least for the major communications apps.
When connected to VPN can’t use my Touch ID with my banking app.
We need all the master chiefs
I just installed this on both my iPad and Win 10 laptop. Ugh! Issues: 1) It gives you an alert that you’ve connected to an unsecured network, but will not automatically activate the VPN...there is no setting for that. Why? You would not get the notification if you hadn’t signed up for the service, so why is there not an option to automatically connect whenever an unsecured network is detected? 2) If you tap on that notification, it will automatically open their app. But, it still won’t activate automatically from there. It takes you to the screen that you see when you open the app for the first time which offers you to sign up for the service with a huge button with the ‘already subscribed’ link in much smaller print below that. Why isn’t THAT screen bypassed after sign-up? Tap on the subscribed link and you have to manually type in your account email and password to turn the VPN service on. Seriously?? Why?? The notification would only pop up if I had already signed up for the service, so why am I having to log in? Meanwhile, as I am having to mess with this, I am delayed in doing what I connected to the internet to do in the first place and I am vulnerable during the login process. 3) I use a Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad. I cannot use it to enter the login info. I have to go into settings, turn off Bluetooth, go back to the app, sign in via the touchscreen, go back to settings and turn Bluetooth back on. Maybe they haven’t heard the news that there’s this thing called Touch ID? 4) In Settings, there is a settings category specific to VPNs. Once I have established the Norton VPN account, that is listed as an available VPN. If you have multiple VPNs, you would select the one that you want to use, and then activate the VPN with the on-off toggle above the list. Except, yes, you guessed it, you can’t turn the Norton VPN on and off from there. You have to have the app open and do the aforementioned log in before it will work. 5) Location emulation: You can tell it which country that you want your device to display as, which is great...particularly if you are traveling abroad and you need to see websites in English. But, there is where your selection stops. I watched the open app randomly change emulated locations...New York, Miami, Seattle... I can’t choose where I want to be seen which can adversely impact my ability to properly interface with many websites that utilize your location for time-sensitive offerings, or geographical offerings. I need to be able to at least emulate a location in my time zone. In summary, getting the VPN activated when your only internet option is an unsecured network is the app’s biggest issue. Making an app easy to user and totally user-friendly is critical and Norton fell on their face with this presentation of the app. Once you’re signed up for the app, no sign-on should be necessary...period. The app does not allow device data access so security in turning on the VPN is not an issue. The location emulation is important, AND it needs to be stable...not changing locations every two minutes. Frankly, if they can’t get the basic of the app functionality going, I have concern on how well the app, or there other software, is protecting me. It’s all programming, right?
Terrible.. I could never get it loaded up on my phone.. tried to find number to cancel.. now I am getting charged and still can’t find number to discuss issues.
Works as expected in iOS 11.0.2 and was easy to setup. Wish it was offered as an extension of the Suite. Careful disabling add options as some add supported apps will not work if adds are blocked as expected.
Overall, I find this to be a reliable service from a great developer. It just works for me. That said, I find two snags. 1) My Symantec password is a long one with low recognition. I keep it password protected on my iPhone. The app won’t let me paste it and is hard to enter. I am tempted to use a simple password as a result. 2) The VPN tunnel sometimes terminates in a location that is very far and has long ping times. The result is really poor service.
I like so much better is safe
I purchased it because I have Norton on my home computer.. but this is awful... I have to turn it of to go to ANY SITE!!! It blocks me from my Netflix account, from making simple grocery store or pet store orders.. i have tried to contact the company because I am still in my time frame for a refund but no response... what good is it if I have to turn it off to even use my phone????? SOOOOOOO DISAPPOINTED!!!
