Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. The newest update to Pokémon GO, the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded 650 million times and named “Best Mobile Game” by The Game Developers Choice Awards and “Best App of the Year” by TechCrunch, introduced the addition of over 80 beloved Pokémon among several other new features.
Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered!
Now’s your chance to discover and capture the Pokémon all around you—so get your shoes on, step outside, and explore the world. You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the prestige and ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side.
Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away!
Search far and wide for Pokémon and items
Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops, found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments, to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items.
Catching, hatching, evolving, and more
As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger.
Take on Gym battles and defend your Gym
As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers.
It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await!

I've never played Pokemon before (except their characters on Super Smash Bros.) but I had a ton of fun walking around for like two hours, exploring a town that I've never explored, with my friends. When I first got the app, the idea seemed cool but it was a little underwhelming. The map that you walk on seemed boring and there weren't many pokemons around me. But when I went with my friends into town, there were many Pokemon and Pokestops to find. It was a blast and it seemed like everyone around us was playing the same game. My only problems with it is that it randomly logs me out and I have to reboot the app multiple times for it to let me back in. Also, I think the battling could be better; it was a little glitchy and confusing and did not seem like much skill was involved. Update. I haven't had trouble logging for a few weeks👍
Boost up not down, please! So we can use more Pokemon.
For some reason, my Apple Watch won't give me a notification when I walk past a PokeStop. I tried resetting the switches, changing the notification settings on my watch and phone, restarting Pokemon Go, my phone, my watch, etc. I'd get one notification, but then it wouldn't show any more. Please help?
I have been signing up for two hours now and this game doesn't let me join is it like not a iPad mini game everyone wants to play it so do it on every devise not just for phones
Niantic please up the speed limit/and or increase the accuracy of distance tracking. This game was originally given praise for its ability to be fitness oriented and active. The latest event highlighted this. Some of us want to work on our fitness (run) and get credit for the miles (kilometers) we run. I think somewhere around 8.5-9 mph (14 mph) would be sufficient. And if there is a lock out timer for exceeding that speed it should be removed. This would help make bikers happy as well. Running isn't cheating. It's hard.
Dear Niantic, this is one of my favorite games. I grew up on Pokémon. However, I do not live in an area with many Pokémon or pokestops. I also don't drive. I take the bus most places, and curtesy of your new imposed speed limits, I have a very difficult time hitting these. If you weren't going to allow PASSENGERS to do things, why do you include the "I'm a passenger" pop up?
The app crashes all the time and when I just open the app nothing loads up. Also don't like how most the people that I know have most of the Pokemon because they used a hack version of the game and don't get banned!
Please. Add more Pokémon from different generations. I would find it pretty cool if like you go to different places on Earth then you would find different Pokemon. All Pokémon would (obviously) be accessible everywhere else in the world, but like in New York you would find a lot of gen 5 Pokemon. And I believe those who are close to catching em all or hatching em all would love a bit more time before they get bored with the game because they have reached their goal and are at the highest level and so on and so forth. I'm a very serious teen gamer and I will catch em all someday, and then, I'll be sitting there. Just waiting for a Pokémon I already have, or waiting for an egg to hatch into a Rattata or something like that. I would like to be able to catch some different Pokémon. Thanks! I can't wait until I can get a Sylveon, I've already got an Eevee named Penelope ready!(who I caught at 347 cp *~*)
My game won't find my GPS and its been happening 4 the past week
This game really picked it up and it's so much fun
Love this game but so annoying how it's crashing . So glad there's an event going on and I can't play even when I restart and re download the game 😡🙄😓
Worst game ever, my friend is obsessed with it and he always like stop I'm playing Pokémon Go plz delete this game
Would be 5 stars if I could actually play the game and it didn't crash whenever it finished loading after i signed into google
RIP Pokemon Go ( from 2016 to 2026)
I like the events you've been doing. Gives a chance for players to see Pokemon they normally don't. My Dex has expanded by leaps and bounds as a result. That being said, remove region specific restrictions on Pokemon like Corsola and Farfetch'd. I don't know about everyone else but I can't travel to another country for a pokemon. It's not fair at all. And I'm supposedly in the region for Tauros but I never see them anymore. Used to see them all the time. Sudowoodo and Pineco need to be removed from 10km eggs. They're not as common in the wild as Eevee was but it's a near thing. Put them in 5km eggs. Would be nice if we had a system in place that tracks what we've already hatched from different eggs so each time we hatch an egg we have a lower chance to get a pokemon we've hatched a thousand times before already. Please, PLEASE add trading. Please. Also, when using berries on Pokemon when attempting to catch them, it's not fair that if they break out of the ball, we have to use another berry on them. Waste way too many berries that way. Stardust needs to go. It's a useless currency. We already need candies to evolve and power up Pokemon. Stardust being required too is just sheer hassle. It's not even in the original Pokemon games so it just flat out needs to go.
Full of cheaters, Niantic labs doesnt care about players or what they want. deserves 0stars. THIS "game" IS A MONEY TRAP DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!
Game lacks depth. Gyms are broken. Cheating is rampant, they can't stop it, reporting cheaters does absolutely nothing. Battery consumption is utterly ridiculous. This game is literally trash. Just as %99.9 of phone games are.
