Excellent!. Excellent excellent excellent - seriously enjoy this game. Some great replay value. Love the random drops and how they change my strategy. Enjoy the challenge in Veteran difficulty - haven't even tried the easier difficulties but I assume they would be boring. Don't hesitate get this game - especially if your a fan of turn based strategy.

Really great game, needs Outsider DLC!!!. I can honestly say that there has never been a game better than this that also does its shooting mechanic so well! The only way the game could get better is if you could get The Outsider DLC for the app. Few games, maybe no other, can say that their DLC is part of the game while also playing a good role in the game. Most other games with DLC either don't connect it to the main story, or have little connection. The character in this game's DLC, to not give anything away, has dialogue in the ship, and will be mentioned in the story in later parts. Please put the DLC in the game!!!

Do you remember the game Worms??. This is an amazing game. Good story and a nice array of characters to collect and choose from. It's a turn based rogue like action rpg. Levels are randomly generated so replaying at harder difficulties doesn't get stale. No in app micro transactions!! I was losing faith on iOS gaming and this doesn't feel like a port. At its core it is very similar to the game Worms but it still feels really really fresh. Sound and visuals are nice and run so smoothly. I recommend if you like strategy, skill and action. I'm addicted to leveling up characters to see what new abilities unlock. There's weapons and items to collect and sell as well as a nice and fair star system while completing missions/levels.

Would be 5 stars if cloud saves were a thing. Seriously, the game would really benefit from being able to play from my iPad at home and continue during a work break on my iPhone. It really doesn’t make sense to me why the devs didn’t include it when the game has cloud saves on other platforms. Anyways, aside from this annoying gripe of mine, the game is easily one of the best on iOS.

Best turn based EVER. This game has brought so much joy to me just because of the pure creativity in it. All the weapons and options you have are great and the story itself if so fun! Fight back evil and keep on finding more and more bigger, badder enemies ahead. Highly would recommend to anyone who enjoys good old pirate steam punk themed action! Only request I have is to have the DLC available on iOS. To have that added will give the game even more replay value and the extra weapons and items would be a welcomed addition to anyone’s game. Thank you Devs for such a wonderful game I hope to see more of this fine work in the future!

Pay once and play perfection. Amazing pay once and play game, one of very few in the App Store. Most of the games on here are pay to win, and that just kills it. This game costs money, but you will have so much more fun on here than any other game. I would love to see a second game to the series, or maybe even some more work for the developers. Great work, I would love to see a multiplayer aspect possibly as well. A turn system similar to the way the game works would be perfect. Either live or else payed over an extended period of time. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a fun game to play that you can just enjoy without consistent annoying ads telling you to buy things. Well done, look forward to your next game.

Love this GAME. First of all the idea of the game is really Amazing and the graphics are great too. It’s everything you want in a strategy game. The one thing that I’m wondering about is another coming out soon. At the ending of the game it left the game at a cliffhanger if there is another one coming out please tell me

Original. Get this game. Someone finally decided to make a game that doesn't look and play like all the other ones. Further more, you buy it once and you get to enjoy it. You don't have to buy and buy "water". Expect many to try copy them.

More please !. If you haven’t downloaded this game yet, hurry up and do so. This is one of the best games I’ve downloaded from the Apple Store. It doesn’t interrupt your game with ads, not being bombarded asking for money because your constantly losing energy, or losing your lives. You pay for it one time only and that’s it. The play action, the characters, levels, weapons you get to use… it’s really a super cool game. I played this game before on my handheld Nintendo, didn’t know they had the game for iPAD. So happy that I found it here in the Apple Store. Wish the developer would come out with another NEW Steamworld for iPAD.

SteamWorld Heist. I wound up picking this up the minute I saw it, blindly, because of the developers previous RTS/TD game, Anthill. It was one of the first games I purchased all of the IAP for, and have been hoping they'd bring more titles over to the AppStore eventually. I'm just incredibly lucky it happened to be a title on many a gamer's GOTY lists a few years back. And all of the praise is very deserved. 5 difficulty levels, no IAP (ATM, dunno if the expansion will be free or not, either way, this is a PREMIUM title), redesigned for controller-less touch screens... The graphics and production values are outstanding, and there's tons of attention paid to little details everywhere throughout the game. Loads of loot to collect, quite a few pirates to hire, replay able levels, difficulty that can be changed before every stage... And once you get about an hour in, the difficulty hits a nice spot and keeps good pace (so long as you don't go back and grind too much), and the NG+ is always a nice addition. I really can not recommend this game enough. It's not gonna knock anything off my own GOTY list, but I try to keep any ports over a year old off my lists. But I can definitely see why it wound up on so many game of the year lists...

Great. Got over 50 hours into this game. Love that I can play in small chunks of time. Great looking and well balanced gameplay. Pay once and you’re done! Completely offline so you can play anywhere without worrying about data or WiFi connectivity. Mobile gaming done right; flawless execution!

SUPER FUN. Definitely worth the 7 bucks. I would pay 10. Its been a while since I've had this much fun playing a game in the AppStore! Thank you! And as other reviews have mention cloud sync would be good too. Great story and loads of fun. Strategic with great graphics! I don't know how anyone could rate this lower than 4 stars and live with themselves. Definitely one of the better games I've ever played.

Turn Based Action Strategy RPG. Taking cues from games like XCom and Borderlands, Steamworld Heist is a sure winner. The developers were able to take what we love from from these influences and simplified the gameplay. Beloved characters who die in missions come back when you return to your ship, weapons have special abilities (which provides for more angles on strategy), and there is loot, loot, and more loot in the form of treasure, hats, and perk-like items that gives your favorite character an edge on baddies. Missions become evermore challenging and when the game is completed, you are offered another go around with the plus mode (allowing you to keep what you've earned on your previous journey). The game is flawless, which makes it absurd for me to possibly ask for more without feeling guilty. However, I would GLADLY pay more money to see the DLC's ported to IOS! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! PS- I would also purchase Steamworld Dig in a heartbeat if was available on this platform. If you love games, strategy, or just a fan of developers who will actually listen, you'll want to follow Image and Form Games. Check out Steam if you're like me and just CANNOT wait for more!

Strategy and Levity. This is a great game. It seemed very simple when I started, and I feared I would get bored with it. I've now put in over 50 hours playing it. It's just fun and it feels light, but there's a good amount of strategy involved with character leveling, and different abilities, and lots of weapons and items. This is high quality in every aspect. Only avoid it if you're looking for something overly serious or some twitch-based action game. Otherwise, I see this appealing to almost anyone.

Just when I was about to lose hope in the App Store. I'm sick of games that nickel and dime you, I'm sick of games that create artificial time limits so you have to buy something to speed it up, I'm sick of games that ask you for ratings or to advertise for them on Facebook. This game has none of those things! Just a high quality, long game that's extremely fun with nice graphics and a great sense of humor. Thank you for this!

Great game, but it does not support iCloud saves. Unfortunately, the game does not have support for iCloud saves. So if I started playing on one device and wanted to continue playing on another, I can not do so. The only way to sync data is by going through the whole iCloud backup, delete, and restore all data process from a backup(which is very bad for someone with bad bandwidth). It is sad that this app does not support a way to upload save data to the cloud as other games have this feature.

This game is a gem.. This game definitely is one of the best games in App Store. The experience is great, I judge that by if I would play a game through nonstop. I spent seven hours to finish the game, nonstop. It reminds me Jagged Alliance a lot. They are all great turn based tactical games. But compare to JA, Steamworld Heist’s system is much less sophisticated. For one thing the dev chose side view, it makes the game completely 2 dimensional. And since units can not stay at ladders, the game space is shrunken too much. But JA uses 30 degree view, and units can go up to roofs, that makes JA 3 dimensional. So strategy part is much wider. JA also uses a well designed motion point system. In this system, shooting costs motion points just like walking and other actions. Spending more points makes aiming more accurate. This is greatest system I’ve ever seen. But STeamworld Heist uses an oversimplified system, which makes the strategy much less variable. I don’t know if there are certain reasons why iOS games could not reach the same height of PC games. I just don’t want to give any iOS game 5 stars. They are not worth it yet.

Too short for the money. It is a very good game, but short. I was kind of shocked when I finished it, because I assumed there was a lot more gameplay left. I enjoyed the time I spent playing it, but my budget is tight and I rarely splurge on games. I really wish I would have bought something I could get more hours out of. My other criticism is the conversations between the crew. They are really unnecessary and it’s cumbersome to click all over the ship to talk to the other characters for no reason. I guess it’s supposed to be cute or funny? It’s more annoying than anything.

Gorgeous. I saw this game a while back, but only just now decided to buy it, a couple months ago. From the minute I opened it up, I could see the talent that went into the artwork of this game. I love the style in which the characters are created, and I love how each one is so individual. I can definitely tell a lot of hard work was put into developing this game, and it does not disappoint.

Awesome Game. Ok, first of all, I wasn't able to stop playing this game for 10 missions. Now, I'm pretty much the same way. These missions aren't like other games; they're actually strategic. You can go in just shooting, but you will probably be more successful if you plan out your shots and placing different robots in different spots. So, I recommend this game to anyone who likes to play games in which you actually plan everything. I would say it's worth every single penny.

What?. I loved this game every second of it the only problem I had with it was the new game plus and all it does is reset the story and all you keep is the characters that you got over the story and they are all level 1 again which to me is stupid the hole point of a new game plus is to go through the story and destroy everything in your path but I loved the game over all and when I was read the comments I have no idea what they are talking about I have a super new IPhone and I had no trouble at all with anything and reading the comments saying the game is overwhelming and hard to understand for me because I understood it extremely well and I think it was worth every penny

One of the best games EVER. It’s a rare fortune to come across a gem like this. The gameplay is just outstanding. This is one boldly innovative game that doesn’t seek to make unjust profits by flooding it with in-app purchases. You gain your in-game currency through your skill, experience and progress within the game, which is a huge breath of fresh air nowadays. A heartfelt thank you to the makers of this untainted beauty. For anyone reading this review, this one is a MUST PLAY. You won’t be disappointed, if you don’t mind exercising your brain a bit since it involves some juicy strategy.

Not updated in 5 years, so no modern screen support. The developers of the SteamWorld titles love to release a game with version 1.0 and never touch it again, and this game is no exception. Distracting black bars narrow the game experience as they have chosen not to update it beyond support for iPhone 8-sized screens. The game itself is lovely and a great deal of fun, but seeing the iOS status bar at all times and dealing with a lack of screen real estate means that this is objectively the worst version of the game you can buy at the moment.

Best game so far!. This is my first review because I usually don't like mobile games, as they are short and too simple to engage me. This game however is very engaging and no surprise it was originally released on handheld consoles. It is way better than all mobile games I've played, including those like infinity blade, monument, hitman go etc that are all very "mobile like". This one is much better in content and depth, and the only other game I play in parallel with this is Downwell.

Hits that turn-based itch. I’ve had an itch for a good turn-based strategy game and SW Heist gives that to me in spades. It satisfies the nostalgia for my 90’s RPGs but is modern enough to keep me entertained. The pace is quick and the battles truly feel tactical (I’ve had devastating losses because of poor aim). Sometimes the robots arms waving slightly as you aim is a bit of an annoyance, but it keeps me paying attention to each shot. Overall the game is excellent, I’m just sad I may already be near the end of it. I hope they add an expansion or some kind of award tracking system to incentivize playing the game on the higher difficulties so I have a reason to keep coming back.

Ok so.... I know there have to be people like me, who find 99% of mobile games (even some very popular ones) woefully shallow, basic, boring, and generally aimed at kids. At least half of them are just a veneer for micro-transactions, many are ports of games that are much better experienced the way they were intended, and the ones that you can tell are from original creative developers that LOOK SO GOOD in the trailers often just feel incomplete and underwhelming after about an hour. If you love mobile games, that’s great, I’m glad for you. My entire point is that if you are like me and you keep finding disappointment in this medium, this is one of those 7 or 8 diamonds in the rough games on iOS. It’s fun for a mobile game, it’s fun for a game just in general—the game is just a lot of fun. Play it on veteran difficulty, get a scoped pistol as soon as possible, and have a blast ricocheting bullets into robot skulls, with light but well done RPG mechanics. Worth 5 bucks. PS If you do happen to read this, happen to feel similar to me, and buy the game and happen to enjoy it, go buy the Banner Saga trilogy too. Thanks

This is the most valuable gem the AppStore has to offer.. I got this game back in 2016 at its release and it is still one of the best App Store games ever. It’s art is interesting and beautiful and the gameplay reminds me of some of my favorite strategy games like X-COM. I love this game so much it’s definitely worth it

Completely Addicting!. Don’t let the 2-D scrolling platform dissuade you: This is a rich and fun turn-based romp thru a robot-space-pirate-steam-punk world with an awesome soundtrack (available on Apple Music: Yay!). Procedurally generated levels, reactive enemy AI, and a seemingly endless loot table of “rare” weapons and gear make it infinitely replayable. And then there’s the hats. When a rare, as yet uncollected hat adorns the head of an enemy, you will risk everything to spend a turn shooting it off rather than deliver max damage. I’ve played thru on “experienced” “veteran” and “elite” difficulties, and still want more. Elite is ruthless. But in a good way. There are just enough RPG elements to let you invest your imagination without option paralysis. The shared inventory size doesn’t allow for nostalgia over your early gear. While loading-out for a mission, each crew member gets to equip only 4 things. Each has their own ability progression, but no choices to leave you pondering options. The variety comes from which members you develop by taking them on missions. The only technical glitch I’ve encountered is that sometimes after playing a good while (an hour or 3), the sound effects track goes silent. Restarting the app restores it. Otherwise rock-solid. Can’t wait for the sequel! [Devs: Please please PLEASE port the “Outsider” DLC to iOS!]

Worth the money. A quality game. The game is fun. Stage 1 is fun because you have to learn the mechanics of trick shots. Stage 2 is tough because the enemies are far tougher. After that is gets very easy because the characters you play with are fully buffed with abilities. But the enemies are more varied and you find more crew. I also like that at any level you can change the games difficulty level. How nice is that! Cons are the replay value is “why bother?”. You do not get any areas new to explore or new abilities / stages to unlock after winning the game. There are 5 difficulty levels as I mentioned, so a bit more on that now... The “experienced” is the standard medium. Anything less challenging and the game is too easy and goes too quick. “Veteran” is like a hard mode. “Elite” is a I am a glutton for punishment and abuse mode, especially in the beginning of the game. But as stated, the replay factor is not there so after the first run through you likely will not want to invest the hours to play again so my suggestion is try the hardest level first and scale back if it’s too difficult. You lose nothing this way during first play through.

My I-phone GOTY. This game has been seamlessly designed to stylishly inhabit an app niche and feed on-the-go cravings for quality game play that can be satisfying for a few minutes or a few hours. I never wanted to be a space cowboy, but I love being a space cowbot. The tone of the game is somewhat whimsical like any good RPG, but has an understated comical flavor all of its own. I'm a sucker for good turn-based strategy, especially when it comes to apps, since you're rarely free from distractions when stealing away to play on your phone a moment. The difficulty level was so well balanced that I never had to grind, yet always felt challenged. When failure happened, I was torn about whether to replay the mission or run a couple easier ones and come back with better guns. On all occasions but one, I was able to refine my strategy and succeed, which was an incredibly rewarding experience. Different members of your team get different weapons and skills. Realizing their strengths and weaknesses is key to identifying the niche they fill and creating a cohesive team. If you're hesitating to risk the money, ask yourself if you want to waste your time playing another IAP shitshow, or do you want to enjoy your free time?

One of the greatest games I’ve ever played. This game is one in a million. Graphics, how the game plays and story line are all super great. But I feel like its also a bit empty in spaces. I know there are only three campaigns but seriously why three. Can there be different story lines to go through throughout the game. Also a multiplayer mode would be really cool having other players bots vs yours. I think that would be a really great addition to the game. The last thing is that the character choices are a bit blank. There are only so many slots but cant there be more allys to choose from in the game. Otherwise this game really stands out from all the others I’ve played, Nice job.

game ended too early!. Either I was having too much fun, but playing it a little bit over a span of two weeks, when I beat the final boss I didn't think I was done with the whole game... I mean there were still loads of guns I didn't have. But I could definitely see another world or two added.

Steam World heist. I love this game so very much because of the beautiful artwork, plot, and effects. The music is creative and has great characters. I have been playing this game since I was seven and enjoyed it very much. The game Devs have a huge mind. I recommend this game a whole lot. Thank you. Enjoy the game!

Some annoying issues. The gameplay is fine. The payoff isn’t great in the end. Waiting for the enemy to take its turn when there are 50 little guys on there made me stop playing. It’s really annoying. Also most of the dialogue could be skipped. It’s not really relevant yet takes up a lot of time. Then there’s the docking process where you have to walk forever to meet with the next contact. Why make it so far away for no reason? I’m not even going to finish the game. The last level became ridiculously hard and I’m not sitting through each 20 minute turn from the enemy. Graphics are nice though.

I wish I bought this a long time ago. The price always drove me away. There was no way I would pay $9.99 for an iPhone game. I even have a hard time considering $4.99 for a mobile game. Mainly because the games these days are such lower quality than the early 2000s. Now days it's common to pay $40 for a game that is only entertaining for a couple days. Where-as console games back in the day like Nintendo 64, GameCube, ps2 would last for months, sometimes years. Anyway, it wasn't until I lost the use of my left hand due to cancer that I needed to find one handed games. And when this went on sale I just got desperate for a game so I bought it & surprisingly, if I knew how much fun this game was I would have gladly paid full price a long time ago for it. I've been playing for days and it keeps getting better. Now I'm just hoping it lasts a long time because I dont want it to end. But yea, if you are debating to get it based on price, it's totally worth it. High quality, no bugs, really fun.

Exceptionally Amazing. This game is a must buy. I, like many others blindly picked this up in hopes that I'd find something to pass my time and this had quickly become one of my favorite strategy games of all time, hell, I wish there were more levels I could play, but even at that a lot of levels are randomly generated offering a lot of replay-ability, regardless I highly recommend this, and props to the developers for an incredibly well crafted premium game.

Beautiful.. The game boasts a very in-depth fun tactical side scrolling turn based shooter! Gameplay is like X-com but sideways with its own little twists. There's one thing that some games these days I feel lack, and it's style. The game feels and looks wonderful, runs very smoothly on my iPhone 6s. (no battery draining here, doesn't feel like it anyways). Last but not least the music is great, it weaves everything together and really immerses you into the world. The game has released on most consoles already, and has been greatly reviewed by multiple sites, so to have a taste of this gem on mobile is quite the treat. Support the developers! We don't get premium games like this often with our oversaturated f2p games. Here's to hoping they port the dlc content somehow, would gladly pay more for that should it come around! 🍺

This is a master piece among the shadows. Oh, this game is wonderful, I started so many new games just to try and re-experience it. But no matter what I do, nothing can out live my memory’s of the first mission, I got all my characters to max level, I got all the reputation, I even did a melee only run with a speedrun, 6 hours was my best, the music is great and the artwork is amazing. I wish there were a steamworld hiest sequel, I hope anyone who buys this game has a better time then I ever did, if possible.

Its a great game. I was searching for a game that would allow a casual player to have fun as much as a dedicated one, I can happily say I found it in SteamWorld Heist, difficulty settings are rewarding, levels are fun, and the story is fun even several playthrougs after. You can play for a few minutes or a few hours, the autosave feature will keep your progress. Its an awesome game.

Fun turn-based strategy with personality. The basic gameplay is turn-based combat where you position your characters and shoot at the enemies. Aiming is done manually, which relies on skill rather than a percentage-based dice roll like many other such games. Upgrading weapons and items is lots of fun. The story is minimalist but decent. Where this game really shines is the music and atmosphere. It has a sense of humor, and there are lots of references to pop culture. Highly recommended.

Very good indeed, but it’s too short for ten bucks. It’s just the game’s brevity that’s keeping me from giving it full marks. There’s some replayability (with difficulty levels and some board random generation); but if you’re exploring in a spaceship, who wants to go over old territory? The game would be a much better value for five bucks.

One of the best games out there. I absolutely loved Paper Mario and playing this game was the closest I've ever come to playing it again. The story is cute but can be skipped if you're not into it, the physics with bullet ricochets and grenade bounces are challenging but engaging, and the little details all around this game gives a good sense of polished effort. There's so many different strategies you can employ with all the different characters, weapons, and utilities. And the hats are a fun sort of collection for the 100%ers out there.

Great game / too much unnecessary talking. My one quibble: virtually every conversation between characters has NOTHING to do with the game. You spend an inordinate amount of time clicking to get past word balloons to get to the actual gameplay. I hate to think of all of the time spent inventing conversations that are meaningless to the game. Perhaps next time they can put that effort into the actual game itself.

I love this game!. Steamworld Heist is a great game. I picked it up because I had played SW Dig and loved it. The gameplay is completely different, but if you played Dig you should have a good idea what to expect as far as lore. It takes place in a wild west type outer space universe (think Firefly). Heist is super polished and the art and animation are both dripping with flavor. Gameplay wise it's like Worms but with large levels you can easily traverse. Controls are spot on and the game is easy to pick up (but not so easy to put down). I've only just beaten the first map, but it feels like the game should be pretty replayable. If you're thinking about picking up the game - jump in head first, it's worth every gallon (you'll get it later).

Fun, light strategy game. Choose and equip your crew for each mission. Choose when and where they shoot and move. The bosses are a challenge, and it’s fun to repeat missions to not only build up points but also teach yourself the best way to deal with each kind of enemy. Beware the black hole at the end, though. Maybe I misunderstood but it reset my game progress to noth8ng, leaving only with a postcard for all the hours, and hours and hours, I spent building my experience and inventory. I am too sad to replay the game now.

This game is a absolute LEGEND!. I completed the game 3 times and am looking forward to playing for a completion of the game on hard. But anyways this game has a great and a unique art style, plus it is as challenging as it is addictive, however it would be great if you could release a new feature that would keep people interested, such as a multiplayer or endless mode. Other than that the game is perfect!

MAKE A SEQUEL😍. Worth every penny. Took me 12 hours to beat, and I enjoyed every second. Hilarious one-liners ought to keep you entertained, not to mention the unique gameplay which fits awesomely onto the iOS devices. The characters' designs perfectly suit their personalities. This game is like nothing I've ever played before. I would love to play it all again, SO MAKE A SEQUEL!! PLEASE!!

Worth 5 stars. Finished in about 16 hours , played every chance I could get, I just couldn't get enough of this game. It gives you an earned sense of accomplishment without being frustrating or feeling monotonous. It somehow balances the line of being challenging in just the right amount. That and the colorful art, creative bosses and interesting universe make this game very well done. All that praise having been said, these are the improvements to make it even better: More inventory space for crying out loud! More opportunities to get to know the characters. More recurring NPC's/villains. Make it available to walk without taking turns when there are no enemies onscreen. Make sure that the descriptions of the locations don't block the map. Overall however, great game.

High Quality Game that's Worth the Price. This is one of the best games that I've ever played on mobile/tablet. The art style and graphics are gorgeous and very colorful. The gameplay is top notch. You will instantly be hooked and be wanting to play for hours. If you're on the fence about picking this game up, just know that it will be worth the asking price and you'll be getting a high quality game.

Great, quality game (no IAP 😁). Holy cow, this game is awesome! Interesting story. Great strategy based combat and fight mechanics. Varying difficulty for a range of challenge. Very fun, engaging boss fights. Good sounds and entertaining music. Definitely a must! And the best part (unfortunately) is it's unencumbered by the terrible IAP model that typically destroys balance to encourage you to pay for convenience or time. Highly recommended. Please support good devs that don't go down that road. One request, cloud sync please so I can play on my phone on the go and my iPad at home.

Best game on IOS. If you're looking for a tactical style and action game with RPG elements, look not further. The beauty of it is that it's very casual with the right amount of depth! This is the best iOS game I've ever played.

10 hours couldn’t stop. This game was so good from start to finish, and has a very respectable run time and difficulty. It is such a well made game with tons of little touches to show the devs really care about what they made, from little artistic touches to the surprisingly good musical pieces throughout. I had a blast and would definitely recommend this!

Font is to small. This is the only game that hurts my eyes reading the text.

This is iOS gaming at its best. This is a great example of how to make a game for the App Store. Beautiful, great game play and a one off purchase. If you like turn based games then this is a must.

Good game, bad price.. There is no shadow of a doubt, this game is fun, addictive and actually got an okay story. However, $15 for this is way too much - even bringing it back to $10 would make it okay. But $15, the game does not deliver $15 worth of content.

Decent. This game is amazing for those who have really nothing to do. It's very addictive and if you don't know what to buy with IOS gift card, buy this!

Fun turn based game with enough variety to engage. Only one criticism: lack of Game Center support means I can’t switch between my iPhone and my iPad. Sad trombone.

Good game. The penalty cost for losing a level is pretty harsh though unless you just play on the easiest difficulty which is boring.

Best game I have played yet.. The story line is entertaining, the graphics are fantastic and knowledge put into this game has brought out the fun to this game. Although it world be nice to have another adventure in another world after defeating Vectron. Not having to restart when entering the black hole.

Turn based strategy at it's best. An awesome game, full of character and with amazingly smooth gameplay. Very tactical, I've played through twice focussing on different crew, which gives a nice varied experience. It'a just a pleasure to play really, plus I love the fact they had Steam Powered Giraffe do the sound track! Needs expansions!

Favourite game on iPad/phone. This game is legit. Happy to pay the premium for a premium game. Love the music at the different bars. Great game play. Great flavour and humour. Good range of difficulty. No ads or cool downs.

Great game!. This game is a load of fun. The attention to detail, the artwork, the animation, the hilarious dialogue, the characterisation...in fact everything about this game make it the most fun I have played-and I have played it through more than once, using different bots and levels of difficulty. Great game.. Easily 20 hours of campaign play with the option of New Game +. Loads of characters weapons and challenging levels. This one kept me playing just one more run!

10 hours in, still not done. This is an outstanding game for any platform, never mind mobile. Really glad I bought it. The devs obviously care and really respect the player.

Waste of $12!. I truly feel suckered. The great reviews and the App Store recommendation made me feel safe in buying this. Ugh. How is this even remotely an “adventure” game? Boring, repetitive, and slow. I normally post glowing reviews. Not today.

It’s alright for a time filler. Game is alright but overstays its welcome. The weapon upgrades are largely incremental, there’s a bit of variation but it’s mainly numbers going up for a few general types. Inventory is super tedious, you need to delete items after every mission. Hats Are pointless, Purely cosmetic no gameplay application. The tactical gameplay is fine- but not very challenging overall. Had to redo some missions but not many. And the story and dialogue? Completely throwaway. I stopped reading conversations super early on. Skip skip skip. So it’s worth a bit of fun, but five stars? Nope

Fun and no propaganda!. Bots rising up against royalty. If this is communist, then Murica is a red state. Actually it's a decently crafted story without any such agenda. The gameplay is well worth the five stars. 10 hours of gameplay. Worth it.

Amazing game, middling port to ios. So I've played this game on ps4 previously and it's great! On the comparatively tiny iphone screen, however, it's clear minimal effort was expended to utilize the medium's strengths: - touch controls barely used - ridiculously tiny buttons - unused screen real estate on the borders - attempting to pan the screen sometimes moves a character, which is a costly mistake in a game like this. I don't know if the devs have the time & budget to properly polish this port and address the above issues. As it is, I'm thankful that it even exists on ios, but it's obvious this port was primarily meant for iPads, where the impact is minimized. One can always hope!

I really enjoyed this game but... So the game itself is really fun and at times challenging to play, which is totally enjoyable. I'm disappointed though by the length of the game. Maybe it's because I played on Experienced and not a difficulty higher. For spending $13 on the game, I expected a bit more bulk. Nevertheless, I'm a gamer and never really want things to end. Kudos to the development team for a visually stunning piece of art.

Great games. This is one of the best games I've played in a long time. The only thing to make it better is have iCloud save feature so I can switch between my iPhone and iPad. Keep up the excellent work.

Beautiful and a perfect pace. This game has an amazing setting and the perfect pace that mix together to form a masterpiece. I was slightly skeptic of it, but still interested so I took the plunge. It paid off!

Screen too small on iPhone. However.. if you have an iPad and enjoy tactical turn based (2d xcom) kind of thing this can’t be beat. Would gladly buy the dlc if it comes for iOS.

Great game. This game was so fun and funny at the same time, great storyline and the different characters you can choose from, also the different weapons you can collect is awesome and the hats you can collect! I love this game so much I give it a 5 out of 5 stars!!

WHY. I think that this game deserves recognition and I hardly say that or write reviews about games. I love this completely but on the new phones it hasn’t been optimized so the screen is to small for example the i phone 11 so it is hard to play but overall a good game in general and I hope to see more of it

Very few top shelf mobile games. This is an awesome mobile game and the hype is warranted. Has an XCOM turn based style gameplay combined with steam punk robots, great graphics and soundtrack. It's nice to purchase a quality title without fleecing you for additional IAP. My only complaint, devs please add the available DLC to IOS!

Steampunk Goodness. In a world full of games that are all the same... this one stands out. I love the art direction and the quirkiness of this game. Plus it’s just plain fun to play. Good job!

Well Worth $6.99, 20hrs+ gameplay. This game is excellent. There is so much content I'm on hour 17 of playing. Plenty of characters that feel different, lots of upgrades. Awesome combo of platformer and strategy. Fantastic art, music and controls. This is a special gem on the App Store.

Great game but I lost my progress. This game is vey addictive, however I lost all my progress after the update that change the name.

Didn't want it to end!. This is one of 2 or 3 games I did not regret buying from the App Store. This is one of the rare exceptions on iOS of a game turning out to be what I had hoped it would be. Highly recommend!

I'm having a lot of fun with this game so far only..... I can't use heal items. I can select them but I have no way of using them. This is especially problematic in combat when I need to heal a character to y'know prevent their death but can't. Please fix this pronto.

On my 3rd purchase. On my third copy of this game love it I bought it on the 3DS Wii U and now iOS this game is all about strategy and maybe luck I highly recommend it especially on the Wii U and the soundtrack is the best

Almost perfect. Loved gameplay and art. Would like more content. Beat game with 3 stars on every level in about 15-18 hrs. Might play again on harder difficulty later.

Console quality. A lot of games that appear on multiple platforms suffer with touch controls but Steamworld Heist does not. Best of all, no in app purchases!!! Pay once, and it’s worth it.

Best Game Ever!!!. At first I thought the cost of this game was too high. Nonetheless after spending 30 hours beating it I realized that it is worth every penny. E.V.E.R.Y P.E.N.N.Y. The quality was exceptional and even at the ending I was sitting at the edge of my seat. The only con is that I am now sad that it is over. The cost might seem high at $6.99, but after playing it all the way through, I would pay triple it's cost knowing what I know now. I ask the developer to please make a part 2 as this is the best game I have ever played on the iPhone thus far.

Fun game but needs iPhone X update. It seems simple enough to me that the game would receive an update to utilize the full screen of the newer iPhones. I wish I knew beforehand I was paying $10 for a game that uses half my screen. Otherwise, it’s fun enough.

Amazing!. This game is great. The bullet bouncing can lead to some cool shots and it is difficult to keep you interested, but not hard enough to make you rage. The bosses are cool and unique. There are tons of weapons and gear, and the graphics look really good. The price might seem a bit high, but IT IS WORTH IT! P.S. Go Seabrass!!!!!!

Reminiscent of Firefly. I had recently watched Firefly when I came across this game, and as a Browncoat, I can say that it is well worth the buy. The story and graphics are great, and the characters are pretty good too. 5/5
