App is now useless. I have been a loyal user for 4 years, but the new redeeming process has made it pointless to use Drop. I have not been able to redeem since the new process was launched. The app freezes every single time. I set reminders 5 minutes before and have tried getting on exactly at 12pm and getting on a few minutes before. Every single time I get stuck on the Drop logo loading page, and when I finally get in, even if it's only been a few minutes, the cards are all claimed. I tried removing an redownloading the app in which case I was unable to even use the app for a few weeks because it would crash every time I opened. My phone is completely up to date. I have the latest version of iOS and the app. I've logged into the app on another phone and no luck. There is an issue with the app, and they've clearly significantly reduced the amount of gift cards they're redeeming. I loved the games in the app which I no longer have access to and loved the ease of earning points. It's pointless now, and once you finally get to non-AI customer service, they regurgitate the FAQs and ask for patience "working out bugs." I feel pretty confident the new system making it difficult to redeem is a feature not a bug. Don't waste your time. Give your data to another rewards app.

Not Great.... Have had this app for some time and when I first got it I gathered enough points fairly quickly because of the places that I shop at. Recently it just stopped gathering points. I disconnected and reconnected cards, reached out to support about missed points (no response by the way), but I’m about to go on 2 months and my points have not changed regardless of numerous eligible purchases. Still have heard nothing from support. Now their FAQ section says you need to wait 100 days after a purchase?! What is that - horrible. I get waiting 7-10 business days or even 30 days, but 100...nope UPDATE: they updated the daily hoops game to pretty much make sure you don’t get any points. I used to play it frequently and could get quite a bit of points. However, I have tried several times and can only get, at most 1 point. I had a few different friends try and they pretty much decided it was rigged. This whole app is a waste of time. Only ever got 1 gift card and likely will never get another one again. App is dumb - just like their customer support. 10/13 UPDATE: they asked me to update my review and update the app cause they made some updates. I have deleted the app after 2 different updates. The app is a SCAM. Don’t download and don’t use.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD No stars deserved. Do not download this app. Had to give it one star in order to leave this review. It changed around April 2023. There is no way to redeem gift cards. they claim that they “drop“ gift cards at noon central time, but you are only allowed – if you could ever get one – to redeem $25. I have I’ve $200 banked as I was saving to get a computer from Apple. However, in over 8 months, I have never been able to redeem a gift card. It either scrolls for over 5 minutes and says it’s checking inventory and then it comes back with a message that the gift cards are sold out, or you get an error message, or it says to update your app, and when I go into the App Store, it is already updated! Or within literally seconds, I mean like 12 o’clock and two seconds - you get a return response, that says “all gift cards are sold out”!! When I write to them and ask how many gift cards they give away they say it’s against their company policy to say how many gift cards are available! This is probably due to the fact that there are NO gift cards available and this is a gimmick. In the meantime, they are getting paid by all the companies that you shop at!! I hear them advertising on the radio telling people they’ll get five dollars for joining, I’m sure they’ll get five dollars worth of credit, but I’m also sure they will never get to redeem any of it for a gift card or anything else of value. BEWARE!

SO DISAPPOINTED. I have had this app for a long time and loved it. It works pretty much like it says, and most times I get the points for purchases made outside the app. I’ve never had any problems that customer service couldn’t help resolve. I’ve kept a good size bank of points since my last redemption (about a year ago, around $150) to use for emergencies or large purchases. BUT the new point redemption system is horrible!!! Today was the first opportunity I’ve had to try to redeem with the new system. I had the app open, ready for the gift card rollout. When the time came (1:00pm), the app wouldn’t refresh so that I had access to redeem. When it finally reloaded after closing it, I tried to redeem 3 times and they all erred out. Fourth time, same thing. In 8 minutes, all the gift cards were gone!!! How is this fair to users? I used this app religiously to make purchases and play games, and now I can’t redeem my points?!! I even tried to redeem for a card I didn’t really want!! This new redemption system is not fair and didn’t really work. The system will be overloaded every Thursday, and the gift card pool will be too small for everyone to be able to redeem. We shouldn’t have to wait weeks to be able to redeem, especially if we can only redeem for one card a week. PLEASE PLEASE reconsider this system!!!!

0 stars. I would give zero stars if that was possible. I’ve been a Drop user for years. Ivory gift cards in the past, and while I always had to wait for them, I was able to get them. At this time, I’ve had money banked up for months and I’m unable to redeem it for gift cards. with this app, you have to wait until 12 o’clock on the dot on Thursday each week for your chance get only a $25 gift card. I have tried every single week for months on end. I have an alert on my phone go off to remind me to try, and only once if I’ve been able to get a gift card. that one time that I did, I tried to get three different ones that all said, sold out before settling on one to something I really didn’t even need or want anyway. I was just trying to see if I could get anything. That was two months ago, and now, each week, I am in the house, ready to go and unable to get any gift card of any kind because they are sold out within one minute. this is ridiculous. This company is such a scam. They need to figure out a better way to pay up to the customers who have purchased through their link and often times purchased more than I might have because I was promised the points and gift card redemption.

Customers Blamed for App’s Issues. **Editing to share that Drop has an F rating on BBB! Drop is deceptive at best, fraudulent at worst! BEWARE!** I’ve been a loyal user of Drop — 3 or so years of consistent use. I’ve ALWAYS had tracking issues with Drop (I have to email customer service to prove I completed an offer in order to get points). This was annoying but at least customer service helped me. That is, UNTIL NOW. Drop has enacted a new policy where you can only request points you are owed from customer service ONCE, and after that they cannot award them anymore, even if you completed an offer correctly. I sent a message back to customer service after being told about this new policy, only to then be told TWICE in a row (patronizing, assumptive customer service methods) that I was doing something wrong to result in my app activity not being tracked. This is simply not the case (always allow tracking, no VPN, no cookie blocker, no antivirus, etc.), but they wouldn’t acknowledge this and kept insisting they could not give me points I was genuinely, rightfully owed. And what’s worse — I can’t get points anymore at all bc of a behind-the-scenes tech issue Drop is having…that they’re blaming US for! Why use Drop if you follow through with offers, follow all their rules, and then are refused points? I’ll echo what other people have said — FIX THE APP OR SHUT IT DOWN. And stop blaming your customers for your technological issues!

Horrible “upgrade” to gift card redemption.. So my last review from 3 days ago was deleted?!? Looks like a lot of people’s were because yesterday was loaded with reviews of people complaining about the new update and not being able to redeem yesterday. Funny how they’ve vanished all of a sudden. But anyways, I have used this app for years and this new “limited quantity” and only being able to redeem once per week is absolutely appalling. No other cash back rewards app does that. We have earned these rewards. We deserve to be able to redeem them without fighting with every other app user at 12pm on Thursdays with only the POSSIBILITY of MAYBE being able to snag a gift card. It will take me upwards of 9 weeks to redeem all my points if I’m even able to get one at all. That’s just ridiculous and not acceptable. I contacted support and they said they’re ensuring the app is stable enough going forward because it got overloaded when everyone tried to redeem at once. Umm still not an acceptable resolution. Fix the redemption rules and you won’t have to worry about the app being overloaded every Thursday at noon. Plain and simple. Do not delete my review again because people need to know how terrible and sneaky this app has become. Avoid at all costs! Update: 2nd week in a row and can’t even get into the app. Gift cards were sold out by 12:07pm. RIDICULOUS

TERRIBLE!! Delete, don’t use, stop syncing cards or email with it!. I’d rate this zero but it won’t let me. I’ve had this app for quite a while and never really messed with it, but opened it up a few months ago and saw all the points I had accumulated and decided to check into it more and was truly excited about what I found. Referred several of my friends, and then tried to redeem those wonderful said points about a month ago and realized the app is so terrible you can’t redeem your points! So they’re still making money off of you and your linked cards and email but you’re not allowed to redeem any of those points!! I have emailed customer service for several weeks now because I will go into the app at 1 o’clock on Thursday when it says I can redeem points, and the app sits and spins for about three minutes and then, by the time it pops up and lets me go to the cards, it says cards are all sold out. You have to wait and come back next Thursday at 1 o’clock! This has happened for four or five weeks in a row. And of course, when I email customer service all they have to say is a we’re so sorry. But they’re not sorry or they would fix it. As I’m reading a bunch of the other reviews, they’re all saying the same thing!! beware don’t use! Maybe if everybody stops using it they will either fix it or stop scamming people!!

UPDATE: STILL dissapointed!. Update July 29, 2023 So I had stop using drop since I saw the 60 day gift card thing & decided to open it again a couple of weeks ago. I was excited to see gift cards are back. So I went to redeem points & got a message saying they are out of gift cards that I will be notified on the 27th when gift cards are back. I didn’t get (or possibly missed) a notification but remembered and went to redeem for a gift card this morning. Message says they are out of gift cards. So, looks like it’s still next to impossible to redeem points for gift cards. How disappointing. Maybe they are available for a very short amount of time on the the day/time they supposedly get released but that’s ridiculous. Looking for another app like Drop so I can stop getting disappointed. Wow. Just looking at my points and I saw where it will now take 60 DAYS to get a gift card!!! That’s ridiculous. It use to be immediate. Ibotta etc is immediate. The ability to get the reward gift card quickly is one of the best features of the reputable shop & earn apps. The ones that take a long time do not seem reputable and are a waste of time. A real shame. I use to really like Drop. Not anymore.

Power Offers. I’ve had this app for several years. I like that I can earn points without even trying through the power offers that I selected. When I signed up I chose power offers that I use regularly. Over time some of those offers I don’t use anymore and they won’t let you change out those unused offers. Most of the points I earn are through the remaining offers that I use weekly. It takes along time to make enough points to redeem anything. There are other offers that you can use to earn points with, in app to order items online, but there are only a small few that I would ever use. And just recently I noticed that some of the things that I would like to redeem my points for have increased. A 20,000 point ecard from Whole Foods went up to 50,000 points and now that card is no longer available. There are quite a few of us who don’t understand why it’s so difficult to change power offers. It would be nice for them to be more transparent about that. With all of that said, I do like this app. I do earn points but I don’t earn enough to redeem them very often. But when I do it’s a nice little bonus.

MISLEADING MECHANISM FOR REDEEMING POINTS. If I had the chance to give it to zero star, I would have given it with all my heart. To give some context, the app earlier was very good where you had the chance to redeem any gift card at any point at your convenience. But now, with the changes they have introduced. I have been trying to redeem a gift card for four months now, and there is simply no way I can redeem it. Every Thursday at 11:55 am, I log into the app and wait for the timer to end so that I can claim the gift card. As soon as the timer ends, the app shows the redeem buttons, which I click it in a second without any delay. the app then keeps loading trying to check the inventory and eventually it throws the same usual message saying the gift cards are out of stock. This has been happening every week for four months now. I’m sick and tired of using this app. I don’t understand how the gift cards are out of stock if I am clicking it within a second and it’s not just one particular store. I have tried it for all the available gift cards every week and none of them are working. it took me more than a year to collect these many hardd-earned points but now with this change, there is no way for me to redeem it because the app does not let me redeem the gift card, although I am not even a second away from clicking the redeem option. The app developers need to see this and do something about it. Such a horrible experience using the redeem gift card option.

Good, until it’s not.... Let me start by saying I like this app for the most part. It basically just runs in the background and tracks my purchases. Easy. However, they recently did something where if you’ve never bought anything through the app, you have to unlock the lower priced gift cards. You can fix it by buying something through the app. Not a big fan of this change, but whatever. I bought ESPN+ through the link on the app on November 8 because it was boosted and I needed to buy something through the app apparently. I did not want nor need ESPN+. It’s now November 26 and I’m still waiting for my points. They’re not even showing as pending-there’s nothing showing that drop even acknowledges the purchase. I’ve tried reaching out to support, but after trying to open a ticket, am sent to a page saying that they have a 60 day grace period for this offer. When I look at the terms and conditions for this offer, it says that I should allow “up to 14 days after you subscribe for drop points to be posted”. When I try to push their “still need help” button it just sends me back to the thing about the grace period. I may be wrong, but it seems like it’s not even letting me reach out to support and giving me some bogus excuse about a grace period. Sure seems like I’m getting the run-around...

Used to be good. I’ve been using this app for 5+ years. The app used to be good. Now it’s completely useless. I claimed a 50 dollar gift card back in may 2023 and was informed it would take 60 days. At the 60 day mark it said that my points would be refunded back to my account because they offer instant gift cards again. However, they’re only offered on Thursdays for 25 dollars a pop at 10am. Fine. I’ve been trying to redeem my gift cards for the past 2-3 months and every Thursday it’s the same story. Gift cards are sold out within 30 seconds. The clock hasn’t even changed to 10:01 yet. It loads and loads and says there’s an error the first few times I click on the card and then bam sold out. To be honest, I think they’re offering like 5 gift cards to there 1000’s of app users per Thursday if they’re even offering any at all. It all feels like a big scam at this point. Now the app won’t even load. I have 100 dollars worth of points to redeem just sitting there. I’ve contacted costumer support multiple times and they’re no help. I used to rave about this app and now I can’t recommend it at all. I would love for a representative to reach out and give me the gift cards I am rightfully owed for using they’re app for 5+ years and make this right. If they do I’ll update this review.

I loved it but [UPDATE & added 1 star]. EDIT: as of yet another update the app is once again working on iOS 16! My “Pet” was crying from not having seen me but survived. However the basketball & snake games appear to be missing (but I still have a notification saying I have games available to play?) If they are truly gone it’s sad since that cuts some of the points I can earn. But my first complaint still stands. If I can’t cash out it doesn’t matter how many points I can or can’t earn. ORIGINAL POST: 1) cash outs have become much harder you have to race all the other users on a Thursday now 2) listing here says it works on iOS 13 & up but as of the last two updates it actually only works on the latest iOS 17. Supposedly they’re working on a fix. But the fact you can’t access the deals or cash out on the website & only the app (some offers can be activated on a chrome extension) makes me worried for the future of this app. The poor people whose phones can’t upgrade are locked out completely until it’s fixed. I love the passive cash back. Loved the pets & games feature. Love that you can connect credit cards & it doesn’t have to be your bank if you don’t want to. Loved how easy it was to use.

Can’t Redeem My Points. ***UPDATE*** After putting in yet ANOTHER ticket, after a week I was finally able to redeem my points. A week of frustrating annoyance with absolutely no answer as to why. If you’re not going to fix your app, then shut it down. I will update my star review just because the last ticket had fast response time every time I emailed back.*** Once I finish my review I will be deleting the app. I tried to redeem 50,000 of my 65,000 points for a gift card and everything was good and all of a sudden it tells me that “instant redeeming isn’t available right now” and tells me to contact support to help me. Ok cool. I’ll do that. And I did. 5 TIMES. I got the initial response. Then I emailed back. And again. And again. No response. I put in a ticket about an issue redeeming points and as a secondary thing mention “oh and the bonus snake thing isn’t working either”. They responded almost immediately and changed the name of my ticket to “Supercharge Issue” and said all I had to do was get out of the app and restart. NO MENTION OF MY ACTUAL ISSUE!!!! This is ridiculous, all those points wasted.

Ruined by new changes. I have used Drop faithfully for over four years. I have referred so many friends to Drop. I raves about how easy it is to use and how it’s a great way to passively earn gift cards with linked cards. Over the years I noticed that the ways to earn points lessened and the amount of points for the same activities lessened. But I kept using it because I could count on a gift card every other month or so. This new update where gift cards are extremely limited and only come back in stock at noon on Thursdays ruined everything. I have tried for two months to redeem a gift card. I have the app permission to send me reminders and it never did. I would get on and find the gift cards sold out. Today, I set an alarm for 11:58. I got on the app and waited until noon. At noon, my screen didn’t change - all gift cards were still sold out. I refreshed the app. The sold out banner was gone but there was no button or option to redeem a gift card. I tried several different stores with the same result. Then, at 12:01, all gift cards were sold out again and I’d have to wait until next week. I deleted the app on the spot. It’s not worth the time or energy anymore.

Do not use. I’ve used Drop for a few years now. In the beginning they had some great offers and I could earn fairly quickly. They started changing the offers and my earning slowed down which was fine. Most offers now are for niche online stores. At this point I earn enough to get a gift card ($25 worth) about every 6 months. Beginning of this year (I think) they changed the rewards and you had to wait MONTHS to receive the gift card. It was always instant before. After I waited 3 months to get my gift card I emailed support since they were late by their own timeline. I got the run around and got hen the CEO announced changes are coming and our rewards were refunded. I had to wait another week but finally could get my gift card instantly. Well the change they made is only offering gift cards ONCE A WEEK. They were supposed to open for redemption at 10 am this morning (As I’m writing this it’s 10:20am). I tried to open the app at 10:01 and it took a minute to open. I am in the app at 10:02 am and all the gift cards are gone. It now says I have to wait until next Thursday. How are all the gift cards gone in 2 minutes?! There aren’t even any other prize options to redeem except Cripto. Do not waste your time on this app. They have completely changed since I joined and you get nothing for the work you put into it.

Nearly Impossible to Redeem Points Now. Echoing other reviewers here. This app has always been one of my favorites and I’ve earned the most out of it, even when I’m putting in very little effort. I love that it connects to my cards to earn points on my purchases without me having to do anything extra, just activate the offers and that’s it. It used to be amazing for redeeming gift cards, but they have changed their processes a few times. The last change had it taking 30-60 days to get to you. Not great, but at least you got a gift card. Now you have to get on the app once a week at 12:00pm (btw, it’s not even mentioned what time zone that is). I assume it’s central time, as I’m on central time and tried to log in at 12pm, there were network issues, and then 4 minutes later when I tried again, they were sold out of gift cards. It makes it hard to believe that anyone is able to get a gift card. Why do they have so few gift cards? I contacted their support team about this and they offered little reassurance that anything would change and that they are aware of the issue. They seem unconcerned, so I imagine they’re just happy to not have to be losing so much in gift card redemptions. But now they will be losing users. 🤷‍♀️

Suspicious practices. I can’t say this will be the case for everyone, but my experience with Drop points to suspicious business practices. I added several credit cards and started accumulating points after I made purchases and opted into offers. But when I tried to redeem those points, the app kept giving me a vague error to try again later. I finally contacted Support, and they told me that my account was “flagged” because one of my linked cards was a business card. Not true - I don’t have any business credit cards. I’ve asked them which one of my cards they believe is a business card, and all of a sudden, they went dark. Awesome. They will let you link as many cards as you want and spend as much as you want, but will only inform you of being “flagged” when you try to redeem your points and ask why it’s not working. And there is no response when you ask them to justify/clarify why your account is flagged. UPDATE: I sent them another email following their instructions in the email below. Yes, they did respond with another “we’re looking into it” email, but after over a month since I reported the issue, there is still no update. And they still do not respond to any of my emails. I’ll be closing my account.

Took a BIG turn for the worse.. I’m just gonna add another review like all of the other reviewer‘s. I have been using Drop for years, I have redeemed multiple gift cards. I usually save up until about 100,000 or 150,000 points and then get one big gift card, which I’ve never had a problem doing before. But then they started limiting the gift card amounts to 25. I thought no big deal. I’ll just redeem for multiple. I redeemed a smaller gift card during that time when they didn’t actually give us the gift card to be redeemed for because it, and I did receive my 25,000 points back into my account. And now I’m along with apparently, thousands of others waiting on our phone for 12 o’clock on Thursday to hit. Of course, The gift cards are sold out in less than a minute! . And they have been every week since July. I have 168,000 points and no way to redeem them. I have written, probably 10 letters, each week, including pictures and screenshots, showing that at 12:01 the gift cards are sold out. I’ve reached out to customer service, but they send me the same stock letter that just basically describes how that their system is supposed to work. No actual responses to any of my concerns or questions. Honestly, at this point I wouldn’t waste my time on the app if I were you. lots of promises, and no rewards.

Used to be great, now impossible to redeem. This used to be amazing. My favorite of all these sites and recommended to everyone. Then the company recently changed how to redeem points for gift cards. They go “live” on Thursdays at 1pm EST. Great, but I swear there are a total of four gift cards for each category. If you are even able to log in (as sometimes it won’t come up at that time) you either cannot get into the gift card area, or that section loads but it doesn’t properly load the place to click on which gift card you want. OR if you are lucky enough to get through those two phases you get to the “checking our inventory” and the thing spins around and around for about five minutes before you get an error message and it kicks you out. I have tried for about four months now and have yet to get a card under this system. I know there have been many other complaints. So about 65,000 points sitting there, and at this rate likely to never be redeemed. I have contacted company and they keep claiming it is program errors. Not sure what is worse, not actually having the gift cards to let clients redeem or knowing there is an app issue and not seeing any real improvements over several months.

Too many changes!. I loved the Drop app when I first got it because I chose Target as one of my power offers so I knew every time I shopped at Target, I would get points. I typically only earned Drop points on in-store purchases as I don’t do a lot of online shopping at specific stores’ websites. So, when they got rid of the smaller gift cards for in store purchases, I was pretty bummed. Luckily, I was still able to earn gift cards with in-store; it just takes a bit longer because I have to earn the more expensive gift cards. The next change was not as pleasant! I login to my app in May, expecting to see a bunch of points because I’ve been doing a lot of shopping at Target recently, but lo and behold, I had none! So I e-mailed support and find out that they took away the power offers and replaced it with flash deals. I am not impressed with this change!! It is going to take me way longer to earn rewards if I can’t consistently earn points for my regular shopping at Target! This app was a 5 for me in the beginning, but I’d have to give it a 3 for now and honestly, that’s being generous!

Absolute JUNK now!!!! Don’t download!!!. Horrible freakin app now. I’m so disappointed by this app I’ve been using it for years with no issues and great things to say. But around April this year I submitted request to withdrawal for gift card and about 3 freakin months later I was refunded my points just to be told they were changing how they do gift cards. So now you can only get gift cards on Thursdays and you have about 30 seconds (assuming your app doesn’t crash) before they “sell out”. You basically won’t get one. I kept trying every week and never got one. So I already submitted my withdrawal in April, three months later was told ehhh no we’re gonna change things, and now I can’t get one. My app constantly crashes when I try. Or they just sell out within seconds. I literally sit on the app 10 minutes prior to the drop time waiting and still I don’t get it on time. It doesn’t add up to me. I think this app is a scam now. And I I don’t trust it anymore. I’ve emailed customer service about my thoughts and they don’t care.. horrible customer service too. What they did to us in April was wrong. Everyone with this app should delete it. Or drop should go back to how it was. This isn’t working!!!

Customer service is suboptimal and they require additional apps and hoops to jump through. I initially liked this app, but noticed that certain points took awhile to show up on my account (for example, I bought a laptop through Dell and stuff from Target and the Target points are still pending.) Additionally, I had a card that been on my Drop account for over a year and all of a sudden it was dropped unexpectedly without my consent. I reached out to customer service and they told me my bank now requires an app that needs to identify me even though I have had the same bank account and number for years at this point. The app within this app (called Plaid) requires for me to go to my bank and sign up for text messaging/alerts and even that did not go through properly when I typed in my phone number. Customer service fails to help with this and just says “oh well” even though I have been a customer for awhile now. Due to the fact that the goal posts keep changing and customer service is a joke, I have needed to look elsewhere for a company that will follow through properly, not take forever to load points, and not require an infinite amount of points to receive a five dollar gift card. Try Rakuten instead. Please don’t waste your time on Drop.

I’m convinced they don’t even have gift cards to distribute anymore. Updating my 5-star review to a 1-star review. This app USED TO BE GREAT, however it is no longer worth it. Redeeming a gift card is impossible now with their new limits. I set a reminder to login 10 minutes before the drop each week and even though I click on a gift card to redeem as soon as the drop starts (I’m talking milli-seconds) I am always either given an error of some sort or a window that says the gift cards all sold out within seconds. If that’s true they must drop like 5 gift cards per week with as quick as they “sell out”. I will keep trying only because I have 50,000 points I have been trying to redeem for months now, but I will be unlinking my bank and deleting the app if I ever get to redeem for a gift card. I hate to even be writing a bad review, because I’ve been using this app for years now and have redeemed almost $500 in gift cards. I have been trying to be patient over the past few months hoping they would work out the gift card drops and make them accessible, but I fear at this rate I will never be able to redeem a gift card again. Don’t give them your info for free, unlink your account and force them to do something about this! If we are agreeing to trade our info for gift cards, they need to actually be able to deliver the gift cards.

Worst customer service. Yes, this app does really pay out, but there’s a lot of catches. For instance it’s been 3 weeks since I completed one offer and they still have my points as pending. ANYTIME you contact customer service they will IGNORE you unless you rant on Twitter or email them 1,000x. They send the same automated replies which are unhelpful and it would be more helpful if people actually read what your sending to them. I seriously don’t appreciate this. I once waited over a month before hearing back from someone and the only reason they answered was because I took to Twitter. And since Black Friday I’ve been waiting for a reply on their boosted points. They stated you’d get extra points for completing and never gave them. Now their trying to claim that the points listed were the extra points but it’s funny because I have earlier screenshots that show that’s what the points were even in October before Black Friday. So yea the app pays out and it’s a great way to make extra money WHEN IT WORKS! I would stay away from buying from one time offers because they take forever to post (3 weeks and going right now. If you buy Dunkin everyday great link up and earn quick-ish. But just beware if you ever run into any problems it’ll be a hassle and sometimes points are too...

Impossible to redeem rewards. The updated gift card system is ridiculous, and now impossible to redeem your hard earned rewards. Rack up as many points and complete as many offers as you want…..it’s pointless if you’re unable to beat all the other users to a gift card ONCE A WEEK before the LIMITED QUANTITY sells out. And forget about contacting customer service for anything - they don’t care about your experience and are zero help in any regard. This app used to be great, but after the ‘upgrades’ this year it’s a complete joke. I had already redeemed two sets of 25,000 points for two separate gift cards MONTHS ago and they sat pending for an excessive amount of time (which Drop support claimed was new policy. Waiting 90 days for gift cards? Really?) Once the new updates were in place - rather than issuing the gift cards I’d already attempted to redeem points for…they reversed the transaction and reissued points. Which I’ve been unable to cash in since due to the Hunger Games style gift card drop once weekly. And that’s just when the app decides to work and even let you IN to try and duel for a gift card redemption! I try week after week and am subjected to app crashes and spinning icons just to be told gift cards have already sold out. Do yourself a favor and download Fetch. Or Rakuten. Or literally any other cash back system that isn’t Drop - because there’s NO benefit to the consumer here.

Now a Worse Version of a Cashback Portal. I used to love Drop. Now, not so much. With the removal of Power Offers (this feature allowed you to automatically earn cash back on your purchases without the hassle of clicking through links), this app has effectively lost one of its unique identities and became simply a cashback portal. Nothing particularly wrong with that, except there’s better ones out there. Drop only allow cashing out through gift cards, which I could excuse back when Power Offers were available - but not anymore. Gift cards are not really worth face value when you can almost always buy them discounted. Additionally, any other major cashback portal allows cashing out earned purchases through PayPal or bank account. In the future, I hope Drop can provide something innovative and different from other cashback portals that would entice the informed consumer base (though..I guess the money is easily made in uninformed consumers). For now, they’ve unfortunately neutered their app into just a pretty face. Give this app a pass and find something else - there’s plenty of better cashback portals out there that you can find with web searching. When I reach enough to cash out my points again, I will drop Drop.

Gift card fiasco. I don’t know what’s going on with the gift card redemptions, but it’s getting ridiculous. I used to LOVE this app, I’d play the games for points daily, and could accrue enough points to redeem $25 worth of gift cards every 2-3 months. I tried redeeming points in about March/April, and was informed it would Be about 60 days… (it used to be instant redemption) umm ok. I’ll wait. So then I wait, for them to tell me after the 60 day period basically “Jk, we’re gonna refund your points then you have to redeem again, and it’s going back to instant redemption(to which I’m thinking, Great!). Lies. Instead you go to redeem a gift card and it states you have to wait til x date time to redeem (at first, I thought “ok, lots of people trying to redeem due to back log, I guess I can wait a week)… to which I wait… and the gift cards are basically gone instantly. This is a recurring issue. What on earth is going on? Previously, I would tell anyone who would listen how great Drop is, now I’m wondering if I’m wasting my time still trying to collect points. Without a doubt, my level of activity had SIGNIFICANTLY decreased (maybe once weekly) as a result of this new gift card approach. Hoping it’s fixed soon, or Drop may not even be an app I use going forward. So disappointed.

Not as good as before. I’ve had drop since it first came out and loved this app as I liked how I was able to get points not just from purchasing but doing activities. You get two free plays of basketball, you get to play snake when you either make 5 purchases or complete 5 surveys and from the surveys you can make up to 1k points if you qualify, maybe even a little more. The perks made the app and once you accumulated a certain amount of points you could redeem them for gift cards. At first the gc would come relatively quick, then they pushed it back to a month and then two months. The last time I redeemed my points was for a gc I had to wait two months for, which was fine until they reimbursed me my points and brought this instant gift card into play. Says the drop for me is every Thurs at 10am. Every time 10am hits I sign into the app for it to just constantly keep me on the loading page for 5-10 mins and once it finally loads the gift cards are all sold out. I have been trying get a free gc ever since they updated now to redeem and I can’t seem to get one. They need to figure this out cause I have 71k points I can’t even use. It’s frustrating and it be nice to be able to redeem them like I used too.

Was good, now it's a SCAM!. I've used Drop on and off for a number of years. In the past, I was happy with it - never had any issue redeeming the points I earned for gift cards. When I wanted to get a gift card, I could access the app any time to request the card and it would be available in my wallet within a few minutes. Recent changes make the whole thing seem like a big scam. I've been trying to cash out over 50,000 points for weeks. I've been on the app at 1pm ET on Thursdays, immediately select the card I want, and hit the button to redeem. Most weeks I get a "there was an error processing your request" message and by the time I try again, the cards are gone. Even when I don't get the error message, the cards are gone by 1:01pm. What a scam! Users rightfully expect to get the promised gift cards for the points they earn on the site - restricting access to a minuscule time window once a week WHILE ALSO limiting the number of cards available so they are instantly gone (not just the most popular stores, but all options) is a total ripoff. I'm removing all my linked cards and will no longer participate in any activities on the app. Maybe someday, fingers crossed, I'll actually be able to cash in for the $50 in cards I'm owed.

Inconsistent!!. There are so many inconsistencies within this app. Apparently they got rid of the power offers (the 5 offers that you chose in the beginning). However, my friend is still getting points for her power offers while mine has stopped completely a couple months ago. In addition, some people get certain offers while others don't. For example, for the longest time, I did not have the option to use Uber Eats through the app. I thought it differed by user so I didn't say anything. But one day while looking through the app, it told me that I had missed over 5,000 points for not using Uber Eats through Drop. So I went to look for the Uber Eats options on Drop, and IT WASN'T EVEN THERE. ONLY AFTER I complained, they opened up that offer for me. Now, I noticed I don't even have Uber as an option while all my other friends do. **These are NOT power offers. Just simple points for when you use the app** I don't understand why some people get these offers available to them while I do not. It's contradictory especially because Uber used to be one of my power offers. Now it doesn't even show up on the app for me. In comparison, my friend consistently has Uber as an offer AND still gets bonus points via her power offers from the beginning. You guys need to fix this. It's ridiculous. You can't expect users to keep using your app or referring other to your app if you aren't consistent.

Was great—now it’s a scam. Honestly, I loved drop for the first few months I had it. I was able to redeem a couple of Starbucks cards with points, and even recommended that my mom sign up as well. However, for the last two months my points have not been registering at all. The first time I noticed, I submitted a support ticket and my points were manually added in a few days time after not registering for weeks. Fine, good customer support. Not a single point has registered since that complaint was resolved, despite Target being one of my power offers and my spending at least a few dollars there every day (across the street from my apartment). Despite a support request to remedy this for a second time, my response this time was “be patient, it will resolve itself.” That was a month ago, and yesterday I received notice that my card just unlinked. When I tried to relink it, it refused, citing an incorrect password/username for my bank, despite my successful login on my banks website with the same credentials moments later. There seems to be no way to resolve this issue, and now Drop simply has my credit card information on file without providing any benefit. Seems like a breach of the user agreement and a fraud on its customers to me.

Very buggy/needs improvement. I’ve been using Drop for over a year and noticed two main things. The new gift card redemption is a joke. I’m getting to the point that I think they don’t want you to be able to redeem your points. Gift cards drop once a week at 10 am for me. I still have yet to be able to secure a gift card. I was one that had to wait the 60 days after redeeming while they changed the program, it changed, I refunded my points, and I never got a gift card. Now I have to wait weeks if not months to receive a gift card, which is really their only desirable redemption option. I’ve definitely made money off the app, but it’s also SO buggy. Surveys freeze in the middle, then you lose points for having to close out of the survey. The wheel froze on me and kept spinning without stopping. With that, spin points haven’t been added even when I’ve shopped within 48 hours. The Hoops game stopped working for a couple weeks, even with an update. Drop really needs to focus on these kind of issues. The shopping part is easy, it’s their added features that are not great and often freeze up the app.

Legit but they will cheat you. I have been a loyal drop customer. I use the app to purchase, do surveys and play games. I have earned a lot credit for playing games with no problem until recently. Some games you earn your rewards and some you don’t . When you submit a ticket for unearned points they credit you only have of what you earned and nothing more. I had issues with more than 5 games I did not receive points for. They gave me one credit of 7500 whe. I should of earned 30,000 points. They refused to give earned points. So I still have three stars app is legit and you really can earn gift cards but you will also get cheated points if your not properly credited. Hence , wasted your time trying to earn points. Some of thes games can take a month to complete the offer but guess what???? You just flushed your time down the toilet because they won’t give you what you earned. Look for other apps that actually pay your more to play. Drop is great but they don’t give nearly as much as other apps do and without the hassle. I prettt sure after this review I will have more problems.

Untrustworthy. I see the appeal of using this app. I was cautious as you grant them access to your finances. I ignored unfulfilled offers and inept customer support (or no reply at all) for the reward of $40-ish dollars a year in return for letting them know and sell data on my purchases. It seemed like easy money. That was built on trust. I trusted that they would keep their end of the terms of service. I was wrong. I tried to redeem my last rewards for a gift card through the app as promised. The app made me contact support because of a supposed error. There was no error as I was informed by support but they were conducting an 'experiment'. They ensured I would still be able to redeem my points. They sent an email gift card via Giftbit. Giftbit is a company that tracks gift card purchases for companies for further data on purchases. Data that I was being forced to hand over if I wanted to redeem points for data I had already provided. There was no way around redeeming my points without agreeing to Giftbit's terms and conditions as well. If a company will violate their terms and conditions so flagrantly, what won't they do? Delete Drop. Change your credit card passwords and move on from this 'experiment'

Platform changes not for the better. Update Dec 2023. Still a scam. No one is rushing to this app to tell us they have been able to redeem their points for gift cards. I was in the app for the gift card drop. They claimed now to have 6 million points available for redemption today. They were still sold out and they claimed i “just missed it.” I have unlinked my cards and stopped using their promotions. Update: This app is a scam. They don’t even care about fixing it. Dozens of recent reviews all confirm the same thing. No one can access gift cards that their points have earned. I have over 350,000 points and no ability to access the earned rewards. Recently Drop changed their gift card redemption so that users can only redeem one gift card per week and gift cards are available until the are “sold out” every Thursday at 10am. Today, i logged in at 9:58 and closed the app at 10 to remove the countdown screen and reopened it. It took me about 45 seconds to log in bc of the increased server activity, probably. When i finally got to the gift card page, it was 10:01 and all the cards were sold out. I have over 200,000 points. Under this new system, it will take me 2 months to redeem my points IF i can ever catch a break to access gift card redemption. What is the point of a reward program if you can never access the rewards. I’m extremely disappointed in this new process. You can only get your rewards if you also win a race/lottery every week at ten am.

Not Sure if it’s going to be worth it anymore. I’ve been a drop user for over a year. I play the daily games, complete occasional surveys, and earn points using my debit card. I’ve recommended the app to many people, and I have made over $100 in giftcards. Back around March/April I tried to redeem points for a giftcard, and was informed it would now take 60 days..which kind of stinks, but okay it’s still a giftcard. 3 days before my 60 days is going to be I get an email stating that giftcards are going to available instantly again and all pending giftcards will be refunded back to accounts. So when the day comes my points go back in, and that’s where they’ve been sitting. Giftcards ran out. I figured a lot of people have probably been waiting on giftcards, I’ll wait until the next week drop of cards available at 12:00 on Thursday. 12:00 Thursday comes and I go on my app. It sits on the loading screen about 4 minutes, and then finally loads. I go click on the giftcards, and it won’t load any options just empty white boxes. I reload by 12:06 and giftcards are gone. Extremely frustrating. The app should of thought about prioritizing people who were waiting over 60 days for their first giftcard. So now I have about 51,000 points just sitting there, and I have a feeling they will be for awhile.

Horrible Returns, No cash back,. You have to spend an insane amount of money to get a $5 gift card because there is a point minimum for redemptions. For example, at McDonald’s you earn 7.96 points per dollar spent. To get a $5 gift card you have to redeem 5,000 points (minimum). That means you spend $627 minimum to get any reward. The first available is $5 or a 0.79% return. In 2018, McDonald’s margin was about 27%. So of the $627 you spend, $169 is profit to McDonald’s, some unknown cut goes to Drop, and you get a small $5 crumb. While I can attest there really is no effort involved to earn this money, the returns could be much better and you don’t get cash back. Additionally, Drop is also marketing on the redemption side to gift card providers in hopes of driving sales for those vendors as well. For example, one of the reward gift cards is AMC. A $5 gift card at AMC won’t buy you much of anything. The nearest AMC theater to me has a matinee senior discount ticket for $7.49. So to get a free movie you would have to redeem two $5 gift cards and spend a minimum of $1,254 at McDonald’s. For a 2 hour movie that’s insanely out of balance and one hell of an expensive movie at a cost of $627 an hour. In contrast, If you donate plasma you can earn about $10 an hour and that’ll be a 98.4% better use of your time (and you can save a life instead of clogging your arteries and putting yours at risk).

Confused. I had this app downloaded for a few months have been pretty satisfied with it for the most part to earn points for money I’m already spending. However I recently completed an offer for dollar shave club that had the points on it listed at 50,000 and said boosted which led me to believe it had recently had the points raise to 50,000 which I thought was pretty sweet so I went ahead and completed the offer since I’ve been interested in Dollar Shave Club in the past and this just gave me a little bit more incentive which is what I kind of thought this site was about. So a few weeks after I completed the offer I was awarded the 50,000 points then a few days ago which is now been a few weeks since I was awarded the points I received an email from Drop explaining why there was a recent decrease in my points. The email went on to explain that they had made an error on their end and had removed 30,000 points from my account. I reached out to Support and they’re only response was that I received an email explaining why they removed the points however I’m still confused about why I am losing any points when it was advertised as boosted at 50,000 points??

ALERT: UNLINK YOUR CREDIT CARDS/EMAIL ACCESS!!!. Update: drop is still making money off of people who have their credit cards and emails still linked on their accounts. Delete your credit cards and undo their access to your emails. Maybe then, drop will actually start letting people redeem their points. They need to learn that they can’t keep collecting our data and making money off of us, but not let us actually redeem our points! So I had been waiting over a month to get my gift card and all of a sudden they give me all my points back and say that gift cards will be instantly redeemable again. I thought this was great news until I realize you can only redeem them once a week and the app crashes or won’t load during the 1 PM drop. I imagine everybody is trying to get rid of their points for a gift card. Whenever I finally get through, it says all the gift cards are redeemed so check back next week. This has been the story for over a month. I reached out to customer service and finally heard back. All they said was to set an alarm so I remember to logon. Obviously I’ve been doing this, but it’s not a problem of making it on time. It’s a problem of them not actually having gift cards or the app not working during that time. Now I’m reading that other people are told to log on at noon? So I have no idea what’s going on. I think they don’t actually have any gift cards to give away. I’ll try for a couple more weeks and then I’m deleting.

Too many app problems when it's time to redeem gift cards. I used to love drop, I am one of the OG drop users. It used to be where you can redeem a gift card whenever you wanted and then they changed it and now there's only a certain amount at a certain time every week. Well the app doesn't load during that time, and it's impossible to get a gift card. I have tried every Thursday at 12 for two months. I guess I'll keep trying every week until I redeem my $100 then I'm switching to a new app because this is ridiculous. I put in my time and my expenses, absolutely horrendous that this company cannot hold up their end of the deal. Why are gift cards limited to begin with!? And why is there such a low number every week that is impossible to even get one?! Then to have a platform that can't support the bandwith when you do drop gift cards is mind blowing. You have set your client base up to fail, and it seems like on purpose. Perhaps this company is having financial issues. Please give users another option to redeem gift cards or revert back to the old way.

DROP giftcard redemptions Changed for the WORSE!!. I have been a customer for 2-3years now and they were having issues with their gift card system saying it would take 90 days to receive them. I was waiting for my $50 in gift cards and than right when I was to receive them they sent out an email stating they have changed the gift card system to instant gift cards now only in $25 increments and you can get them instantly every Thursday morning at 11am. I have been on the app @ 10:58 every Thursday trying to redeem my points and get my gift cards that I earned and they have such an influx of people now trying to get their gift cards the entire app breaks down and than by the time it comes back it says they are out of gift cards for the day and for you to try next Thursday! I have done this for 4 weeks now and just got notified again that they were all gone and to try again for next Thursday!!! This is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!! I earned those gift cards and can’t even get them. I have reached out to DROP customer service every Thursday after the system breaks down and letting them know and just have been told “sorry, try again next Thursday.” Great customer service…. NOT. I will not recommend DROP app to anyone. They need to make the gift card thing right for those who have been waiting months!

Power Offers. The app is nice for me to earn points when I spend but since I can’t change my power offers or add them, I end up losing a lot of points! Additionally, I often shop in store when I’m in a time crunch and I receive no points from those purchases since they are not included in my Power Offers!! I really like this app but they need to make some changes so that the consumers can adapt the app to fit their changing needs! Currently the only way to possibly change your Power Offers is to probably delete your account and lose your current points to start over and that seems like a waste of points that could have been redeemed! I really hope they make changes so that people can keep enjoying as their life faces changes and the Power Offers are better since they keep adding new power offers but no one can use it without going through the app! Edit: I also hope that the developers let people have 5 drop Power Offers since I’ve heard that the Power Offers were dropped down to 2 which the developers explained saying that on average consumers often only use 2 Power Offers but that might be caused by the fact they can’t change their Power Offers and some of their Power Offers are no longer useable for them in their daily lives.

Used to be great, now no one even responds to issues. I have used this app since it was brand new and have recommended it for a couple years now to lots of people. Since they changed their model of points earning it is a LOT harder to really earn unless you buy things using their click-through earning, similar to eBates. The main problem with that being that then THEY NEVER REWARD YOU FOR THE OFFER YOU CLICKED ON. I had this issue once last fall, it took many weeks for customer service to actually award for me for the offer, and I decided not to use those offers anymore. But in an effort to reach a point goal so I could spend my remaining points with drop and then leave/delete this app, I decided to take advantage once more of one of their offers. I read the offer details perfectly, and followed them to a T, and yet - still no points. I have sent not one, not two, but THREE requests for support in to their customer service, and NO ONE WILL ANSWER. In short: don’t waste your time. There are better points for rewards/cash apps out there that *actually* work when you use them, and reward you, not just leave you hanging on offers until they think you’ve forgotten you spent the money. The very least they could do is show pending points from money spent right away - which they are VERY hit or miss on, especially with click-through offers.

Scam app! Please don’t let them profit off your data.. Drop used to be the best for earning cash back by shopping online and playing games. Now it’s an absolute scam and customer service knows it and doesn’t care. They used to have instant gift cards available 24/7. Then they changed the policy to making people wait 60 days for a gift card. At the end of the 60 days they didn’t send the owed gift cards. They sent an email saying the points had been refunded to the drop account. Now supposedly they only release the gift cards on Thursdays at 1:00 pm. Every Thursday at 1:00 pm I am on the app and no gift cards are available. I try to restart the app to be able to buy them and I encounter four minutes of loading screens and network errors. By 1:04 the Drop app says that the gift cards are sold out and they tell you try again next Thursday. How many gift cards are they releasing, one? Drop support won’t provide and help and their cut and paste answers are infuriating. The changes to the gift cards make it impossible to redeem your points. I feel ripped off by Drop every week that I can’t use the now useless points. I redeemed these points for gift cards back in early May that they were never sent. They have had access to my financial information and shopping history and have failed to provide me the gift cards I earned for almost five months. I strongly recommend you avoid this app and don’t link your accounts. They have become scammers and they need to be shut down.

Started out great, now it’s terrible. Drop started out as a decent rewards app. Sure, it took a while to earn enough points for a gift card but that was totally expected. Over time, however, they’ve progressively implemented changes that make the app less and less rewarding. A couple years ago, I was able to cash out with as few as 5,000 points for a $5 Starbucks gift card. Over time, they increased the minimum cash out amount to 10,000 points. Then, they increased it again recently to 20,000. These constant changes definitely deterred me from fully endorsing this app but it’s the latest change they’ve rolled out that has me ready to uninstall and steer people away from ever using it. The latest change now sets the minimum cash out amount at 30,000 points for a $30 gift card and the gift card options at this price point have dwindled significantly. A Starbucks gift card is no longer even an option. I’m sorry but I really don’t need or want a Groupon or AMC gift card. Oh, and I’m not willing to shop through your app at online retailers just to potentially “unlock” more reward options...that’s absurd. Everything with this app has just gotten ridiculous and I’m pretty much fed up!

Needs Some Changes. Been a member with drop since 2018, it was my favorite app because redeeming was so effortless. I play games, do surveys and shop for points, and I’ve joined a focus group before drop made it’s changes to the app. And ever since this new method of redeeming gift cards started it’s been making it impossible to redeem. 4 weeks in a row now and I have not been able to redeem a gift card. Gift cards are literally gone within 3 minutes. I even tried staying on the app well before 1 o'clock to not have any loading issues but when I do that the redeeming option does not unlock. I reached out to someone because how is it fair that I am on the app when it’s time to redeem but i am not given a redeeming option. I reached out and was told people have loading issues but it was loading fine the whole time I was on the app and sent screenshots showing the time, and showing the app didn’t have a redeem option, and then suddenly saying sold out, all minute by minute. Keeping all gift cards at $25 is fine but only giving every single user 1 chance a week and a 2-3 minute window for redeeming their points is not working. I spent money and a lot of time to build up my points and now I can’t use them.

This app is absolute garbage now.. If you’re new here, this app isn’t worth your time. Look elsewhere. I’ve been using Drop for awhile now and for the longest time it was one of my favorite apps to use. It’s been since April of this year since I was last able to redeem a gift card and I never even got it. They refunded the points after they had established a 60 day waiting period to receive your gift card, which was insane on its own. Then they moved to this new model which is gift cards can only be redeemed once a week on Thursdays at 1pm for only $25. And it’s an absolute disaster trying to redeem. It’s until supplies last but you have no idea how many gift cards are even available. And it doesn’t matter. Because you aren’t going to get the gift card any way, even if you hit the button the very second it goes live. I have 120,000 points that I can’t even use or do anything with. There also used to be daily games you could play for points and a wheel spin as well to earn points and bonus opportunities. All gone. At this point I’m only staying on hoping that eventually I will be able to redeem a gift card but I’m not holding my breath.

Drop used to be great…. As other have mentioned Drop used to be great before they changed their gift card redemption policy. I’ve been using it for a few years and have recommended it to many friends, I used to get on daily and play games, do surveys etc., but back in the spring I went to redeem my points for a gift card (what used to be an pretty instant process) and was told they were “updating their process” and my gift card would be emailed to me with 60 days. Well 60 days came and went and finally I realized instead of giving me the gift card they refunded my points so I could get in line on Thursdays at 1pm and wait for the redemption window to open up in hopes I can snag one then. I’ve snow gone into the app the last 4 Thursdays in a row just before 1pm and waited, but I’m never given the option to redeem. It goes from saying “next drop is - fill in the date- “ to “gift cards are sold out. So frustrating. Seems like they should have come up with a better system, or given priority to those who already had redeemed points and were waiting prior to this change. Anyway, all of that to say the app isn’t really what it used to be and there isn’t a lot of use for it since I can’t seem to redeem the points I’ve accumulated. You gotta beg to receive your points. For every single offer completed I had to follow up with them, otherwise I would have never received my points. However, for some offers they have a 60 days grace period and you cannot follow up until then. It’s been almost 3 months since I complete this financial services offer and I have been following up weekly with them - still, I have not yet received my points. Also, nobody even care to update me on the status of my offer after 6 emails sent If you want to avoid extra stress in your life, then stay away from this app. It’s not worth it!

Scam app - Rewards always locked. Drop has deteriorated to the point where it is useless. Reward gift cards never available, always sold out. What is the point of earning points if clients are unable to redeem the rewards?

Never been more disappointed. I have used multiple cash back/points based apps before and this is by far the worst. I had multiple instances where I wasn’t given points because my card wouldn’t link (PC MasterCard). Biggest disappointment was from my most recent purchase with the app’s “birthday” boost offer from Apple. I made a purchase that should’ve rewarded me with a minimum of 250,000 points, and support - being less than helpful of course - took over five days to get back to me after I sent my proof of purchase to them, and then had the nerve to tell me they couldn’t find my purchase anywhere. What a load of garbage and a lie to keep me from the $250 I should’ve been getting for one of their redeemable gift cards. Most misleading app ever. Doesn’t even deserve one star.

Get some worthwhile partners. There is not one partner on the offered list that I would choose and I would definitely want the ability to change them if I set things up especially with these offers...

They don’t have any customer support. Points never showed up for an offer. I’ve raised tickets 3 times but no response since months. Don’t waste your time.

Sells your personal information and nearly impossible to redeem. This app is pure garbage, has a “redemption window” within a 5 minute window once a week in the middle of the day. And conveniently glitches when you try to actually redeem. Support is nonexistent when you do ask for help. Stay away from this app

Used to be good…. I used to love this app! Suggested it to lots of people! But they recently changed the rules around redeeming points for gift cards and it has made it IMPOSSIBLE to redeem! I have now spent months trying to redeem every Thursday at 11am and every single time it doesn’t go through or I’m too late and they are already sold out. Which now makes the app completely useless! Very disappointed.

Awful Redemption System. Their new redemption system is pitiful. You get one chance at 10am one day a week. I have been trying for weeks to redeem a gift card. Each time I am waiting in the app at 9:58am for the redemption to open up and the moment it does I click the Amazon gift card. There is no way I could have been faster! It says wait while it loads and I wait and then it says sorry you missed it! Every time! Then I have to wait an entire week before I can even try again. This used to be a great app before all of the changes. Now I am going to be deleting it off my phone as soon as I can redeem the points I’ve earned! But who knows when that’s going to be!

Pathetic. What’s the point of having a cash back program that is not backed by a good enough redemption program. The sole selfish motive of gathering customer financial and transaction data is so apparent. 6+ months…. Set reminders…. Sitting with the app open…. Requested redemption within the first couple of secounds of the “app refresh”….. waiting for over 2 mins for it to “check go gift card inventory”…… result the same — “you just missed, try again” (followed by a teasing animation). And they dare have a referral program. ROFLMAO!!!

So upset. This app used to be the absolute best u could redeem a gift card anytime but now you have to wait till 11 am on Thursday to redeem and I’ve been trying for WEEKS to redeem and everyone it either freezes or says that they are all sold out I’m deleting the app

Garbage. This app use to be great, it offered generous points for money spent at many common stores. However it seems they have gotten too big for their britches and can’t offer a proper reward system. Find a better option such as rakuten etc don’t waste your time with this app. Also customer service is atrocious, I’ve been trying to redeem based off their new “timed release” reward which are gone within 30seconds to a minute.

Unable to redeem gift cards. For months I have been trying to redeem gift cards, logging on before 1pm and waiting for the gift cards to open. In the last 4 months I have been able to select one gift card but it wasn’t able to be redeemed because they sold out. They are usually sold out within seconds. I will delete the app once I’ve redeemed my rewards or get tired of trying.

Can’t redeem. This app used to be so good. Now they are taking your information but won’t allow you to redeem. It’s impossible to get gift cards now. They must be in financial trouble. I’ve disconnected my cards, it’s a waste of time. Don’t bother!

Disappointing. Drop used to be great but it has since gone downhill with all the hurdles and restrictions to redeeming gift cards. You use to be able to redeem gift cards in the app with no problem. Now they have changed it where gift cards are only released once a week and you have to go into the app at that particular time for the chance of getting a gift card. I have been on every week for the past few months and have not been able to get a single gift card. Today really frustrated me - the value of the gift card went from 25$ to 5$ and I was able to redeem for it today (amazing I know) but shortly after, I received an email saying there was an error and I did in fact not even get the $5 gift card. It is a total waste of time now to try to redeem for a gift card and it is impossible to get. Your points just sit in your account and there is absolutely nothing you can do with it. It is Terrible.

Don’t bother. It is absolutely impossible to actually redeem your rewards and get a gift card at this point. Was in the app 5 minutes early and clicked the second they became available and still they were out before it could process for me. Very disappointing.

Impossible to Earn Rewards. When I had $15 of points, they showed me what I could redeem if I reach $20. When I reached $20, those were all gone and instead they showed me what I could redeem if I reached $25. Now I’m at $21 and I’m being showed what I could redeem when I reach $50...they’re making it impossible to redeem anything.

Not worth it anymore. This app used to be amazing. They took away all the bonus ways to earn points. So it’s really hard to bank any. They also changed the redemption, making it nearly impossible to get your gift cards. I’ve been trying for over a month to redeem, and my sister has been waiting about 3 months and has well over 100,000 points to redeem. Save yourself the hassle and don’t bother!

Broken Promises; Gift Cards Laughably Difficult to Redeem. The purpose of this app (in a nut shell) has always been to basically volunteer (as the customer) to get advertised-to and then as a reward get paid for it. Unfortunately, something has drastically changed at Drop (leadership changes perhaps?) and now to redeem earned points for any sort of gift cards on offer (Amazon, XBOX, etc) the company has chosen to make it incredibly difficult. You must redeem gift cards on Thursday at exactly 1PM EST, BUT for the last few weeks (since the change), their servers get so overloaded with customers trying to redeem their increasing backlog of unspent points, that the app won’t even load until the gift cards are mysteriously sold out within minutes (less than 10 min for the past 3 weeks to be precise). When the cards are sold out, you must wait until next week to try again. Prior to this change, gift cards had been unlimited and available every day of the week (which is a very normal and customer centric policy, if you ask me). There is only one reason that I can imagine for making points redemption so difficult, and it’s simply because they don’t want customers to be able to redeem their points for gift cards (they do offer other far less appealing non-gift card redemption offers). I should also mention that prior to this change, things were already a little dicey for some users. People were complaining that it would take a few months to redeem certain gift cards (which wasn’t false). As a result of this slow gift card redemption, Drop issued an apology about a month ago announcing the new and ‘improved’ redemption policy and promised that it would be easier to get gift cards once more. Personally, I had been waiting 1.5 months for a gift card that I had already put in a redemption order for (and I honestly cared very little about the wait); but instead of giving me the gift card after all that waiting, the very strange apology and new policy change was instituted and they refunded my points instead. Again, why not just give me the gift card that I had redeemed months ago? The reasoning for this seems sort of obvious to me—they simply don’t wish to pay out their customers as promised and they’ll try as many different tactics as possible to avoid doing so… Until they overhaul this redemption system (and I really hope that they do), I’d greatly advise YOU (savvy app user) to avoid investing any time or effort into this app. It tracks you and your purchases but does not deliver much to you in return. Consider yourself warned.

Used to be great but new gift card system is horrible. Drop used to be great and had gift cards ranging from $25-100 to redeem. However, after financial difficulty (which they didn’t provide any update on until long after the fact) they are restricting gift cards to one redemption per week, with a limited supply, and $25 increments only. They’ve also removed some merchants you can redeem gift cards from (lululemon) even though the logo is still there in the App Store images. Very disappointing. Makes it hard to redeem for anything worthwhile now. Hopefully they’ll go back to how they used to be but for now, they get 2 stars.

Surveys are annoying!. I like the app but the surveys drive me nuts! I get almost halfway through them then it kicks me out because I don’t meet the qualifications, then I only get 17 points out of hundreds. The surveys need to be way more inclusive not to just Toronto people. Or they should at least give half of the points when I survey ends early.

Disappointing. The app used to be good and you could cash out when you wanted too. But now it’s once a week with only limited gift cards. When you log in at the time to cash out the app crashes and you can’t redeem any gift cards. Don’t waist your time downloading. If I can ever cash out I’ll be deleting the app.

DONT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. This app went from great to AWFUL. You can earn points which can then sit in your wallet and accumulate to then provide you the worst experience trying to redeem a gift card and never get it. You can then contact customer service even though you waited 2 hours after you finally got through to a step in the redemption process, to be told that all gift cards are sold out and to try again next week because they’re too frugal to buy more than 10 gift cards a week!! I HATE this app, it’s not worth getting! You’ll be wasting your time. I’m part of probably hundreds of thousands of others who is just waiting to get the freakin gift cards and leave. So done with this.

Not worth the points. In previous years, you could redeem for many different cards and different amounts. The new restrictions make it IMPOSSIBLE to redeem anything. It shows a countdown to when you can redeem the certificate, but when that time comes it says it’s all sold out, wait for the next drop. After several months of waiting to redeem and sending an email(don’t get me started on the circling you go through to report an issue, customer service is not great and sorely lacking), finally getting an answer that just says “we know it’s an issue, please be patient and wait for the next drop”. Like to see a significant change before continuing to use this product.

Didn’t let me redeem my points.. Saved enough points to get 2 $20 gift cards. Went to redeem them and the gift cards never showed up and now all my points are gone. Contacted them by email as well and never heard back. Disappointed.

Scam, no longer genuine. You could redeem points at 5000 and 10000 but now it’s been restricted to 25 000 which makes this app just as irrelevant as all the other money making apps. This app will die out into obscurity due to this decision that was likely fueled by greed which ironically will be the final straw for its users. I have a feeling they’ll increase the minimum redemption for profit.

Class action suit?. It’s almost impossible to redeem your points now that they changed their system. They sell out of gift cards within literally one minute now. I have $70 worth of points sitting on the app and no way to redeem them. Class action suit anyone?

SCAM. Congratulations to the 3 lucky gift card winners this week while the rest of us stared at a spinning wheel to an app that won’t open to even let the rest of us try to claim. DROP is a scam. They data mine your spending and sell it for profit while not allowing you to redeem your points. DISCONNECT ALL CARDS IMMEDIATELY and cash in what you have and never look back. This company is going bankrupt and hates all of its users.

Scam. Stay away from this app. They “ran out” of money in April and said it was because of the banking issue. I have almost 100k point I can’t cash out because their gift cards don’t exist. They claim that once a week they become available, which isn’t true because as soon as they “reset” they are automatically sold out. Don’t waste your time with this app. I’m sorry that I did.

Loved it now hating it. I was getting my points from shopping and earning gift cards but when you click on one of the advertised links to shop to earn more points good luck getting them i am owed over 30,000 points emailed customer service 4 times now and NOTHING! Horrible customer service...

New point system sucks. I was somewhat okay with you taking my data for points, no longer worth it with the requirement to make a purchases too to redeem our points. Sad to say you’ve just lost a customer with your new policy. Pass on feedback to tbe PM on this and your Comms team that a change like this should be communicated in advance to your customer base. Used to be great, impossible to redeem now. I used to love this app and would work to get points to earn a reward but since they’ve updated to only 1 drop a week it is impossible to redeem. I’ve tried 5 weeks in a row and sit on the app waiting and once I hit “redeem” then I’ve still somehow missed it at 1pm (the same minute it drops). App needs work, not really worth it anymore & customer service offers no help at all.

A Once Amazing App Now a Complete Disaster. I used to adore this app. However, the recent turn of events has left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. What was once an amazing app has now become a complete horrid mess! Firstly, the promised gift card delivery system has become a total nightmare. After a series of delays, we finally received an email from the CEO apologizing for the inconvenience. I've been waiting for weeks to redeem my hard-earned points, and the fact that gift card claims are restricted to once a week is absurd. To add salt to the wound, the app crashes incessantly when trying to claim cards. It's impossible to navigate without encountering frequent freezes and unexpected shutdowns. Furthermore, it's evident that I'm not alone in experiencing these issues. Users across the platform are expressing their anger and dissatisfaction, sharing their stories of disappointment. It's baffling how such a once-thriving app has managed to fall so hard. As if the app's performance woes weren't enough, the customer support team seems utterly unhelpful about the issues we're facing. I'm met with canned responses and vague promises, leaving me feeling like my concerns are falling on deaf ears. At this point, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this app to anyone. I truly hope the developers take these issues seriously and take swift action to rectify the situation. Until then, I'll be seeking alternative apps that value their users and prioritize their experience.

Used to be good. This app was great for redemptions. Now you can’t even get anything. I set a timer for their 1pm gift card drop. Ironically their app crashed and all gift cards sold out in 3 minutes. I just want to rid all my points, and then I’m going to delete this. What a waste of time. Not to mention my bank card magically disconnects and never gets any points, so what’s the point of this app really?

Terrible customer service. Been trying to contact the service team for over two months and have being ignored the entire time. I’m owed $80 worth of points for completing an offer, but the app isn’t recognizing it. There’s better rewards apps out there, definitely use those instead!

Terrible. This used to be a great app. Had fun games and was easy to earn AND redeem points. Games are now gone & it is virtually impossible to redeem your points even if you’re on the app prior to the gift card drop. It’s a total waste of time. I will be deleting.

Don’t bother downloading. I have $260 in points that are all essentially trash now. Have been trying to redeem a gift card every week for over two months. There’s always an error. I literally set alarms for 12:59pm on Thursdays. App is total garbage now, used to be my favorite app. Drop Support is also useless - they send the same automated responses any time I contact them asking for help with redemptions. Don’t waste your time.

MasterCard card no longer links. My Costco MasterCard won't link anymore (it was working fine for over a year) and it's the card I mainly use. Contacted support and they were less than helpful. Very disappointed

If we didn’t use your app, you wouldn’t have an app. Being a user based app, you need us. I would imagine your “evolving partner brands” are useless without us shopping. As already stated, they’re taking your data and you’re not even getting what you want. Only 2 power offers now and you STILL can’t change them? 5,000 & 10,000 point redemption is gone. Except Tim’s, indigo, and Starbucks. Who exactly are you evolving for? The generic developer response that’s copied and pasted is embarrassing with an insulting redirection to the FAQs page with zero care. Focus your efforts on your user experience and customer satisfaction. Clearly missing the mark.

Can customer service please get back to me?!. I’ve been a loyal drop customer for almost 3 years & customer service will not get back to me regarding an issue I’m having redeeming my points! I’ve tried contacting them 3 times and still nothing.

This app sucks. This app used to be great! You could play games, do surveys, collect points and redeem for gift cards. They changed their system and now it sucks. The games have disappeared on my app. I haven’t been able to redeem my points for 4 months because they always sell out. I am on the app every Thursday before the “drop” of gift cards and every week run into errors. This app isn’t worth the effort.

Truly terrible. Like other users, I have almost $100 in points that are essentially worthless now due to the new redemption rules. I haven’t been able to get a gift card since they started making a limited number available. I get error messages on error messages. Definitely don’t bother downloading Drop at this point - most of us are just trying to cash out and leave. Developers, you need to seriously rethink this business model. If you can’t handle users earning points then let people cash out and shut down the app.

This app is not worth having anymore.. I’ve had this app for 5 years and I’ve always loved it. I liked it because of the games they had, the monthly drop points for being a member and spin the wheel, but, I mostly liked it for the variety of gift cards you could get once you reached a certain amount. Gift cards were set to $25, $50 and a few were $100 and you could redeem whenever you wanted. The app now is harder to redeem gift cards and are only set to $25 with very few to chose from. I have to wait every Thursday at 10am to redeem one. Sometimes, you’re on there and it says loading or it’s slow and you can’t get in. The worst thing about this app is that when you redeem a gift card or try to, it’s all sold out within a second from when the drop happens. Before, it was easier to redeem gift cards, now it’s not. I’m able to redeem a gift card but not as often anymore. This app is not what it used to be and I think it’s not worth having anymore. I think it’s a waste of time and not fun! I’ll probably delete this app too with the changes they’ve made :(

Scam!. I have been a drop user for probably over a year. I used to be able to redeem my points for gift cards no problem. Earlier this year I tried to redeem points for cards and was told it would take 60 days. After much longer than 60 days I get notified my points are going to be reimbursed because the app had money in that bank that collapsed in California and is changing the way gift cards are redeemed. Now every Thursday at 1:00 there is a “gift card drop” with a limited amount of gift cards. I have tried for 3 months to get a gift card. Today, I was in the queue for the gift card drop, and two seconds (not exaggerating, it was literally 2 seconds) after 1:00 the “gift cards are sold out”. At this point this app is a scam and they are using our shopping data for their benefit without any reward to the users. I have complained to their help desk on two separate occasions and received the SAME EXACT response back saying they are aware of app loading issues and hope to have them resolved in the near future. Don’t bother signing up for this app - you won’t get the gift cards they’re promising!

It’s THEFT - UNLINK your cards. I’ve had the app for nearly 2 years. In the past it did what it was supposed to do and I was able to redeem gift cards. That was until their policy changes went into effect. They now only release a limited amount of gift cards every week, only in $25 (used to be able to redeem more $) and you can only redeem 1 per week. The limited amount “sell out” within minutes/seconds, making it essentially impossible to get a gift card. I personally have over $75 in rewards, so even if I got lucky I’d have to wait 3 weeks to redeem all of them. The premiss of the app is that I allow Drop to mine and sell my info in exchange for gift cards. I can’t get the gift cards anymore, yet the company continues data mining, selling my purchase history and surveys (when I still did them). In my opinion that’s breach of contract and THEFT. I wouldn’t be surprised if the “limited amount” of gift cards released each week is 5. Do NOT use this app. You will see no rewards yet they will profit off of you.

New gift card policy is borderline scammy. I’ve been a drop user for over 5 years. Before this new gift card system, you were able to choose multiple levels of gift cards ($10, $25, $50, etc) at any time you wanted. This new system of “gift cards drop next week at 1:00” only for them to “run out” in minutes is ridiculous. It’s an e-gift card, there’s no “running out” There are hundreds of other cash back websites and apps who might pay out quarterly (so not as quickly as Drop used to be able to) but you were given all your earned “cash” with no strings attached. Drop was easy since it attaches to your CC, but sites like Rakuten also offer that now, so there’s no point for me to use this app any longer. I didn’t care for the Pets update, but I decided that it wasn’t for me, but might be for someone else. This, however, is Drop saying “let me leech as much as I can from the user, dangle the gift cards like an NFT carrot, and hope they just keep letting us see where they spend their money. Hopefully they’ll just waste their points on their pet and give it back to our company!”

Terrible. This app recently went through changes and I can assure you that there are hundreds of other apps you should focus your time on to earn rewards. I waited several months after redeeming a gift card I earned with no responses and 0 communication until one day the CEO sent an email saying they were impacted by recent banking issues and gave 5,000 points for troubles. Following that email, they changed the way you can redeem rewards in the form of gift cards, which is only once per week until they are “sold out”. For multiple weeks, I have been on prior and right at the time the gift cards “open” just for the app to malfunction or for it to never open for me then automatically say sold out and the next opening was in a week. This app promises you’ll receive gift card rewards but what they don’t told you is that you may never actually be able to get that reward. I cannot believe how much time I’ve wasted trying to get points for this app vs others out there. This recent change puts them at the bottom of the barrel. Choose elsewhere!!!

Good. Update *** I like it less. I was loving the app until recent changes. I noticed 9,000+ points weren’t posting ($9+ in rewards) so I emailed customer service who told me my points will be pending for a minimum of 90 days. Which is BS. I spent the money, used your app and now you’re going to make me wait 3 months before I can use my points? Not cool, Drop!! Not cool I really love the app. You earn points on money you are already spending. There are a ton of retailers, but the points vary for each. And I love that I can just use my debit card and not have to shop exclusively in the app. Ex. I use the Walmart grocery delivery which is 3000 points no matter how much I spend vs Starbucks which is 7 points per $1 you spend. So it varies but if you just do your usual shopping, points will rack up without even realizing it. You can cash these points in for gift cards. My only complaint is I am constantly having to relink my card to the app.

Can’t redeem points. This app was great when I first started using it. Then over the summer the gift cards went from instant to needing to wait 60 days. During that period, without any notice, the points I had redeemed were credited to my account and I never received my gift card. Then the app switched to weekly gift card drops. I’ve been logging on early every week at the drop time, it’s been months and I’ve been able to redeem exactly one gift card. Sometimes I go on to redeem and my account needs to be verified (which isn’t there until it’s time to redeem), other times there’s an error when I hit redeem at the designated time, and sometimes the app says gift cards are immediately sold out. I’m talking 1:01/1:02 when the drop is at 1:00 and I’m on the app waiting for the cards to drop. I have opened up cases with the app until I’m blue in the face and all I get is automated responses that there are issues. I have not been able to find a customer service phone number to call, nor do I get a response via email when I ask for a phone number or supervisor. Terrible.

SCAM. As pretty much all other recent reviews have stated, it’s impossible to get gift cards anymore. I have been a user for probably about 6 years and have loved the app. Done daily games, surveys, and shopped card link offers. I had redeemed $100 in gift cards during the 60 day waiting period and even after the 60 days had no gift card and was getting no response from the company. Finally a month later they put out a statement saying gift cards redeemed would not be getting sent, instead the points were refunded and you can only redeem $25 per week. I have logged on every week 5minutes before the weekly gift card drop and every week the minute the drop the app glitches and only conveniently loads after ‘gift cards are sold out’. After reading all the other reviews I’m starting to think there is not even any gift cards it’s all just a sham. I have accumulated $175 that I should be able to redeem, instead I’m getting screwed over for all my time and effort put into the app. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS SCAM

Probably never getting my gift card. Like the many other reviews lately, I redeemed a gift card and was told it was going to be a 60 day wait because they were changing how things worked. It’s now been well over 60 days and I still have not received the gift card. Support has been no help whatsoever. I’ll be deleting the cards I have connected because I no longer trust the app. Something is going on here so be careful! Update: They’ve rolled out the new redemption system and it’s absolutely horrendous. Once a week, they release a handful of gift cards that you can pretty much fight for. When the cards drop, the app stops working because there are so many people trying to battle for one of few cards. This is no solution to waiting months just to not get the card I tried to redeem in the first place. Now, I’ll never be able to redeem the points I do have. They gave out a little extra to make up for it but it amounts to absolutely nothing if you can’t redeem them! I would never waste my time with this app again. Do better, Drop.

I used to love this app but….. When I first downloaded, I earned most of my points from playing games. I’m already playing games so why not earn points to play them!? The last 4 or 5 games I’ve played though, I haven’t earned the points and had to reach out to customer service. They’re great and give me some points but not all of them because the brand supposedly says I’ve missed something. Some of these games I’ve never even heard of so I know I never previously downloaded them. The other stuff is easy to complete on my side. The first couple times I thought it was because it took me forever to complete the requested level. But recently I downloaded two separate games and had beaten the requested level by day 2 of having it, and still didn’t receive the points. I very rarely buy anything online so I’ve never tried that section, not sure I want to with the issues I’ve been having on the games section though either.

Fraud. I have been diligently trying to redeem my points since April, 2023 without success. Although Drop claims to know of the many issues regarding its users redemptions, they have done nothing to correct these issues. They continue to collect their users data while deceiving users with promises of being able to redeem their points collected. For this reason a class action lawsuit needs to be initiated against Drop. I am one among many who have been deceived by the Drop app. Like countless others, I used this app to accumulate points with the hope of obtaining gift cards for my family. Unfortunately, despite spending significant time and effort, it appears that these promises were empty. The website has stopped issuing gift cards but continues to mislead its users into believing otherwise. The Drop app's actions are not just unethical; they border on criminal activity. They continue to hold onto our personal information and linked cards even though they have ceased their primary service without any formal announcement or explanation

App has gone downhill.. I like that it tracks purchases automatically via my cards instead of having to manually select or find deals each time. However, in the last six months, the app points that get accrued have become completely unusable. The only option is to redeem them for a gift cards. The gift cards are “sold out” for the entire week until Thursday at 1 PM Eastern time. Basically the app crashes at that time from an influx of users, trying to redeem their points. If the app doesn’t crash, it typically just lags until all of the gift cards are sold out again. Gift cards are typically sold out within a minute or up to five minutes. To be honest I’m not sure exactly how fast they’re sold out because I haven’t been able to get even one gift card redeemed for points in the last six months despite having enough points to get three or four gift cards. What’s the point of using it if the rewards are inaccessible?

Not reliable anymore. I used to love this app and the points would post super quickly. However, lately they either haven’t been posting or they’re going through extremely slow. Many of the games you can get points for don’t actually let you “allow the tracking” and this makes it so you can't actually get any points for playing. Recently, I also got points taken away for no legitimate reason. I went to Safeway, spent a bit, received points for it, then got them taken away. I did not return anything and I don’t understand why they were taken away. Things are just really slow within the app lately and not as reliable. If I’m not getting points for my purchases like I should be, then there’s really no point to continue using this app. I’m very disappointed and frustrated right now because I’ve had to email their customer service just to receive points for “offers” I completed, even after waiting past the time the points were supposed to arrive.

Horrible app, DO NOT GET!!!. I’ve used this app for a couple of years now and when I first started the app was easy and great. This past year with their new rules and updates on how to redeem points into gift cards this app has gotten to be such a pain it is THE WORST. Every time I go to redeem for gift cards, which drop once a week, at the same time, and are limited, I have had issues with either the app loading to open because their site is not able to handle the amount of traffic it is getting at that time, the gift cards not being able to be redeemed cause the amount of traffic at that time crashes the loading process, or literally less than 30 seconds in ALL the gift cards are taken because they only release a limited amount. I have so many points just sitting there that I cannot redeem that I have been trying to redeem for MONTHS now and just can’t because of all these issues. I really wish the app would go back to how it used to be.

Failing company?. I’ve had this app for a couple of years now, and it was a wonderful rewards program. You could cash in Drop points and get gift cards for what was fairly passive effort. In exchange, the company gained access to your shopping habits for revenue. Like most other reward apps. Recently, Drop decided to ‘improve’ its rewards structure. Instead of allowing you to redeem once you hit the appropriate number of points, you also now have to get on the app at exactly 1pm on Thursday afternoon to fight to redeem what appears to be 1 gift card. I have been attempting to redeem for weeks now in this new process, and the app will simply fail to load or delay you accessing the redemption section for a minute or two. The gift cards now ‘sell out’ within 1-3 minutes, with it worsening each week, which is about how long it takes to get into the app at that time. The company has turned off commenting on social media and the support team essentially says to ‘try harder’ or just doesn’t respond.

Good idea, but needs some work. This app is a good idea, but needs some work with implementation. I love the idea of not having to submit any receipts for the Power Offers. However, when I joined over 2 years ago, there were not as many options for Power Offers. Also, people move and their lifestyles change. So you should be able to make changes within the app. I understand not being able to just change it on a whim, but you should be able to change your Power Offers at least once a year without having to give a referral or app review. Another improvement would be include a browser extension so you can shop online not just via a mobile device for the in app offers. Finally, my bank is still not compatible with Drop after 2+ years. I wish there was more development into the app to make it incredible. Two years is plenty of time to make upgrades to the infrastructure.

Going Downhill Fast. I used to love Drop. I’ve redeemed at least $300 in gift cards over the last year or so… but they’ve clearly outgrown their original model, and it’s a huge disappointment compared to what it used to be. A few months ago they got rid of the extra points for game downloads, etc., then the 1,000 monthly premium points dropped to 600, then it was suddenly going to be 90 days for gift cards to be redeemed. They sent a very cryptic message/apology about a massive bank thing affecting them. They said all pending points would be returned with a $5 credit as a thank you and that instant gift cards were back. What they didn’t say was that now there are a limited number of gift cards available and you can only redeem (1) $25 card per week. The spots open on Thursdays at 1:00 pm. The site crashes immediately for 2-3 minutes and all cards are gone by 1:06. I guess I should still be happy with this as it’s gift cards for shopping I’m already doing… but it is awful compared to what it used to be, and I’m not sure I’ll be interested in keeping up with this new frenzy.

It kinda feels like I’ve been scammed 🤬. So I’m assuming my 30,000 points that I had is basically gone being that I haven’t been able to open the app for the past few weeks because it immediately crashes right after it shows the Drop logo….but tbh I kinda saw this coming with the whole only being able to redeem your points on Thursdays at noon, which by the way was basically impossible because the app would crash every Thursday at noon and then when it would come back up at 12:01 it would give me a message that “ALL GIFT CARDS HAVE BEEN SOLD OUT” …like for real I took all the surveys, It tracked my purchases by linking my debit/credit cards, I even played there little games…all of this so I could earn points and get my gift cards which I can’t even do and probably never will I’m sure…I would however like to unlink all my cards & bank account information; and probably all my other personal info that y’all have on me and just delete my entire account but I can’t even figure that out.. like for real where is customer support?!

Used to be good. I’ve been using drop for a few years now and I used to love it. I’ve redeemed over $200 already in gift cards. You used to be able to rack up points until a certain amount and then redeem for a select gift card as soon as you have those points. You could get a gift card whenever you wanted as long as you had the points. BUT ever since they brought the instant gift card feature, you have to fight to get a gift card like an actual drop. It only happens once a week at a set time. There are limited quantities. When I try to get a gift card, my app takes FOREVER to load. Literally minutes. By the time it does load, my redemption screen is white boxes, unable to tap on any of the possible companies to redeem a gift card from and by the time it does work, all the gift cards are gone. This is such a crappy system. I have over $100 if possible redemption and I can’t use any of it for gift cards. This is such a bad system and I hate it. Go back to the old system or I won’t be using this app any more.

Don’t bother hitting up support. Downloaded this app in late September, early October. Everything started out mostly ok. Linked three cards, up my account. One of my cards was having issues connecting. Drop was very new then so I was giving them the “few business days” that the app said it needed to connect the card. I come back in a week, still pending. Checked back after a month, still pending. Here I am 3+ months later and my (debit) card that I use for most of my spending is still pending. So I emailed support after a few weeks of it being pending and support told me that I probably got my login info incorrect. I know I didn’t but if I did that would be a VERY scary scenario as I can see previews of the account numbers for my both of my checking accounts and my savings account within the app. When I told them this, there was no response. I emailed again, same response, and more silence from their end. Normally I don’t write bad reviews like this but I’m writing this to get their attention and help on this issue. I am willing to change my rating when and if this is fixed.

Used to be great, now it’s a scam. I don’t know what happened to this app, but it’s truly running itself into the ground. It used to be that you could redeem your points for gift cards at any time, they might take a while to get to you, but they were still easily accessible. It was super easy to earn points and you could always reliably redeem them to get a gift card. I used to make the effort to try to shop through Drop first before I went to a store’s website because it was such a great deal to earn points while doing my normal shopping. HOWEVER, it’s garbage now. Pure garbage. They release gift cards every Thursday at a specific time, and even if you’re on the app at that time (or even way before) the app will lag and then oh no, the gift cards are all sold out! Try again next week! I’m debating on disconnecting my accounts from drop because I feel like they’re doing something slimy behind the scenes. Maybe one of these days they’ll understand how horribly wrong they’ve gone and I’ll be able to use my points…

Impossible to redeem rewards. Update Oct 16, 2023: the app update last week causes it to crash at launch. Deleted and downloaded it again, no change and still crashing. Instead of addressing concerns and disappointment and quite frankly people’s beliefs they’re getting scammed, I think this is their way of stopping ppl from using their app instead of deleting it. Summar 2023: Agree with other reviewers. I’ve got $175 to redeem and the app is faulty. Kept getting an error trying to redeem one week. Set a reminder the next week for the Thur window and the app failed to notify me. Both times same cut and paste response in my ticket despite saying I deleted re-downloaded the app multiple times so the reps aren’t even reading the issues anymore and I’m sure they’re inundated. I had $100 in queue for months to redeem and then all the points are back in my acct and I can’t even redeem the max $25/week. Horrible experience. Use this daily for games and linked purchases and complete surveys and then cannot redeem. The $25/week allotment change is ridiculous!! They sell out At 10am and likelihood is they have zero gift cards to offer

Be careful... So I like this app for the most part... it's cool to earn points for places I already shop at. BUT... apparently if an offer has two requirements you have to meet to earn points, they can't list both of the requirements which leads you to make purchases you think you're earning points for and you're not. They had an offer for something called Boxed. All it said is 20,000 points for your first purchase. I looked everywhere and couldn't find a minimum amount you needed to spend. I bought something for about $20. I finally reached out to support after not getting my points. The lady that responded said sorry, you had to spend at least $50 AND it had to be your first purchase but they could only put one of those things in the description. What do you mean you can only put 1? That's ridiculous. I either wouldn't have made that purchase at all or actually spent $50. This was a waste of money at the end of the day for me. She gave me 1,000 points for the inconvenience. Still not worth it. You should honor what you put out there.

No longer paying out rightfully earned rewards.. Company seems on the brink of collapse. Initially they said now gift cards would take 60 days to be delivered, which is absolutely nuts. Then after the 60 days are up, cards no longer arrive anyway. They have stopped sending rightfully earned gift cards and when contacted they seem to be offering questionable excuses. When following up they have essentially stopped responding to tickets. They owe me $100 in gift cards that I fully expect not to ever see. Seems like they have crossed from cash flow issues into actively misleading customers. Recommend no longer downloading or using until and if they get their act together. Update: now they say gift cards are back to being paid instantly, but they only allow redemptions once a week of $25 regardless of how many points you have, and they only release a handful of gift cards. Widely reported that no one can get them because the app crashes and after 5 minutes per week they’re gone.

Don’t waste your time!. I once loved this app and now it once the worst apps to be able to redeem your point for gift cards. They disburse them once a week in the middle of the day. As someone who works during the day; I have to set an alarm to remind myself to log in. It’s been months and I have yet been able to redeem a gift card because they all are out within minutes. This shouldn’t be this complicated to redeem. I have deactivated all my linked cards and I’m going to just call it a loss with all the points I have on that account. Which I’m sure is a win for the app, as they’ve gotten all the information they needed from my account. So I’m sure they could care less and it’s such a process to get through a response. I wasted so much time to get these points redeemed, that I don’t have anymore time to waste to submit a complaint through the app. The review is enough for me at this point. Don’t do it people! There are other apps easier to get gift cards for your participation.

Dishonest Platform. In less than one year this app has gone from Great to Horrible and imo to borderline scam. I havnt been paid out in almost a year with over $60 in gift card points just lying dormant. They began putting this bogus message on their platform that gift cards are temporarily “Sold Out”. Lol For the past almost year?? It also states to return on Thursdays @ 1PM for gift cards to be restocked. Another lie, as I’ve been there to attempt claiming my gift card on just about every Thursday since Aug 2023 only to see the same bogus statement instructing users to return in 7 days at the same time. I think it would be accurate to say Drop has been in the process of “Dissolving”. Customer Support hasn’t responded to any of my emails in over 5 months asking them to be transparent as to what the status of this app is and if the users are all going to be stuck holding there bags? Don’t give ur valuable time or resources to this platform.

It takes year to realize-Total Scam!!!!. You need to get to $25 to redeem. Which takes at least a good half a year or more. Once you hit $25, you find out that you can only Redeem on Thursday at 1pm when new gift cards are “dropped”. If you work reg hours and are busy at work, it will take you, as it did me about 6weeks to finally open the app at Thursday 12:55. At 1pm, you suddenly get a message that in order to redeem you must confirm your email (did that when opening account, but ok) and add your number (my number is already in the app). Out of the 2 buttons only email one works. Sent email, confirmed by clicking link. AND finally….. nothing. The phone button still doesn’t work. Re-start the app to find out, they sold out gift cards (in 4 mins), that next chance to redeem is next week. BUT if you think that at least you will meanwhile confirm your account as requested, you are WRONG!! The links to confirm are gone. I will def check out next week, but I can already for-see the whole thing repeating itself. Meanwhile these people have all you credit card spendings and god know what kind of data.

Gift Cards harder to get than TSwift tix. I used to love this app and have been using it for years. They recently made a change where you can only cash out your points through a weekly gift card drop. I am skeptical anyone is able to get one given what a cluster this has been. First of all, the apps says it will set a reminder but I have never received any sort of notification when the Thursday drop happens. So instead I set my own reminders. Once the gift cards are out the app continuously fails to load and even if you are lucky enough that it does, once you get to the gift card section it’s just blank, nothing loads there. And so after trying and trying to refresh, it suddenly says that the gift cards are sold out for the week and to try again next week. With a “reminder on!” note which again does nothing. I’ve done this for three weeks in a row now. Basically I doubt I’ll ever get a reward for any of the points I’ve earned and wish I’d known in advance that this horrific change was going to happen so I could have stopped bothering to use. In short, if you’re thinking of downloading, don’t bother.

The bottom fell out of this company. It’s clear that as of 2023 Drop is no longer able to honor its financial commitments to its users looking to redeem rewards. Their communication and transparency in the process was just awful - they created a fake “new redemption” process that took 60 days and announced it as an “exciting change.” Months later they apologized to their users and admitted it was because they were having cash flow issues. They cancelled all 60 day redemptions after users had waited months for gift cards and then switched back to an allegedly instant model, except that it’s only available for 1 minute at a specific time each week, causing so much app traffic you can’t even open the app. I have over 100k points sitting in my account that I now don’t believe I’ll ever be able to redeem even after 6+ months of trying. Now it just feels like a scam - using our data for profit, lying to us, and hiding the fact that redemption isn’t possible behind a bunch of marketing jargon. Not a good way to do business.

Instant gift cards ruined drop. The drop app was so great. Now it seems they’re profiting from using the information they collect on us without having to pay. This new only get a gift card at noon Thursday thing is crap. The gift cards sold out today in 7 minutes or less. I was on in time to get one but they didn’t load until I restarted my app. Then when I clicked to purchase I got errors over and over until finally it showed they were all sold out. Drop owed me $100 in gifts which they refunded after their debaucle and I waited a couple months for those I didn’t get. So I now have 100,000 that is basically unredeemable. IF I am one of the luck few who can log on at exactly noon and hold my tongue just right I can get at most $25 a week. So maybe in a few months I can cash in all hundred? Doesn’t seem promising. This is a great deal for drop. They reward us with rewards we can’t redeem so they get all our info tracked for free. I hope they fix this because this is a terrible deal for the consumer.

Used to be good, now worthless. I’ve been using Drop for a couple years and it used to be great. They keep changing their policies that make it difficult to redeem points now though and it’s completely worthless. You used to be able to redeem your points for gift cards at any time… then they changed it so you can redeem at any time, but it would take months to get the gift card. Now, they only release a small amount of $25 gift cards on Thursdays at a specific time. You can only get one gift card a week and it’s impossible to get because the app crashes right when the gift cards are released and then after a couple minutes, when the app is back online and letting you on, all the dropped gift cards for the week are gone. I’ve racked up over $150 worth of points and can’t redeem them. The app is of no use anymore. Highly recommend Rakuten. I’ve been using that one for years as well and they automatically send you a CASH payment every quarter without having to be promoted or making you jump through hoops.

Months later since changing rules and still can’t redeem any type of gift card!. I've been trying every week for months now to redeem a gift card and still no luck! I have 192 dollars in points I can not redeem! One second after 12:00pm they are already sold out of all gift cards. I have been trying every single week since they switched. I originally redeemed my points before the change when you had to wait for 60 days which I was Ok with, but then they put the points back in my account after they change the rules about redeeming points for gift cards. So I never got a gift card at all. All points that I claimed were added back to my account and now I can’t even claim them because every week I go in and they’re already sold out.!! I used to love this app so much and now I can’t stand it after months and months of trying every Thursday to get a gift card and not getting anywhere! You would think they would’ve fixed this problem by now with so many people complaining. Not cool DROP! I’m unlinking my card until I can actually get points if that ever happens!

Unfortunately. I didn’t want to have to do this but due to numerous attempts to contact them with no response other than an automated response I’ve been left no choice. I have promoted this app since at least June on my instagram. I’ve had tons of referrals and never a problem. I’ve been waiting 45 days for my Just Fab points and nothing. I referred someone a week ago she got her points and I never got mine. YES I signed up for Just Fab through YOUR LINK... NO I didn’t NOT RETURN OR CANCEL ANYTHING... I wouldn’t have even ordered from Just Fab if it weren’t for this deal. Completely unacceptable.. I will NO LONGER promote your app. I will no longer have it apart of my Link tree on Instagram either. I don’t know what changed but your app has been amazing for months. DONT TELL ME TO DM YOU ON INSTAGRAM because I already did and no response DONT TELL ME TO EMAIL YOU I already did no response.

Not worth it by any metric. Drop gives you points for playing games and spending on linked cards. While they are great about awarding points, they are horrible at letting you redeem them. The only thing worth spending points on are gift cards. Each week, they release only a limited supply of gift cards at a designated time. This limited release leads to everyone flooding the site all at once to try to redeem. Typically the website will crash. What will definitely happen is all the gift cards will be redeemed before you get through to a gift card request. The app is not worth it at all. You’ll never be able to redeem points under this current format. They try to advertise all these cool feature but none of them are worth it if you can’t redeem the points. It’s clear drop is having cashflow problems and they’ve resorted to limiting rewards to resolve it. I’d recommend Lolli, upside, recklaim, Ibotta, Dosh or any other cashback app instead. At least with the other apps you actually get a financial reward back for selling your data.

Absolutely fraudulent practices since they began having funding issues. Drop used to be great, earning points that you could spend on useful giftcards by playing games, taking surveys, or buying everyday products from certain retailers. Then they “ran into funding issues” and said it would take 60 days to get your gift card, which is ridiculous but okay I’ll wait. Well after 60 days they do the ole switcharoo and say instant gift cards are back. Awesome! Except gift cards sell out immediately and drop once a week. Hmm ok so I make sure to be ready for when they drop, 5 weeks in a row now. The app will load for 5 minutes and when you finally get in all the gift cards are sold out. It’s a straight up scam at this point. You cannot under reasonable circumstances redeem your hard earned points for gift cards, which is the only useful thing you can spend points on (unless you want an NFT, which is worth nothing and does nothing). Such an infuriating experience, they’re lying to you. They’re scamming you. Don’t spend your money or time on this app.

Gift Card Updates. I have had this app for over a year now. In the beginning I loved it. It was nice to rack up points and I would use the gift cards to help with things like holiday shopping. Back in March I tried to redeem a gift card and was told this could take 60 days. I was annoyed but waited it out. After the 60 day mark and not receiving my gift card I reached out and was told it takes 60 days. Obviously I knew that but at this point it had been 3 months. Then maybe a week later they change the gift cards back to instant but they have all been changed to $25 and I’ve been trying for weeks to get on right when they release them and have continued to fail as the app will stop working and then when you can get it to load they are already sold out. I would have at least appreciated receiving the gift card I was supposed to get months ago after waiting now 5 months. At this point I’m just going to use the points I currently have if I ever can and then I will likely be deleting the app unless something changes for the better.

Scammers extraordinaire. Stay away from this app! They scam you for your card information to sell your data in order to collect gift cards. Then when it’s time to collect them, it’s only available once a week. And conveniently, the app is always down for maintenance or doesn’t open. When I go back later, like a minute later, the app finally opens but the gift cards are miraculously sold out! This is a classic case of a startup that had promise and was going well but it’s obvious they are out of money and running on fumes (anyone remember Surkus, which had a similar fate and disappeared into thin air?) I’m surprised the owner hasn’t been featured on the cover Forbes, like Sam Bankman-Fried and Elizabeth Holmes. How the mighty have fallen. I have 100 bucks in gift cards I’m trying to redeem, and the customer service is a complete joke. They give the same canned response when you email them. It’s only a matter of time before they have a class action lawsuit on their hands. Don’t even bother wasting space on your phone with this app. It’s much more of a headache than any kind of benefit.

Disappointed in what now seems like a scam. Just as all the other recent reviews state, this app has now either shut down or is a scam. It used to be great and in the past couple years I’ve been using it, I’ve redeemed quite a few gift cards which I received immediately. They’ve had a notice up for the past few months that they’re trying to update the gift card offerings, and for some reason this is delaying gift cards by 60 days. There is absolutely no way this makes sense, but I patiently waited as 60 days came and went without any sign of a gift card. I’ve sent messages and at first they responded saying “yours seems to be in a handful of gift cards that have been held up, but we will get it to you by the end of the week. That was 2 weeks ago and now no response to messages. Now that I’ve looked into it, it seems like this is happening with EVERYONE and this is feeling more and more like a scam that we will never get our money from. Not sure what changed because it used to be easy and fun. But I no longer feel comfortable having my credit card linked to this app. Don’t waste your time here!!!

Nice way to effortlessly accrue some extra bucks. I’ve been using Drop for a few months now. Once you download the app and set everything up, it becomes a great passive way to earn extra money, meaning you don’t have to do anything other than make the purchases you were already gonna make in order to accumulate Drop points. (Unless, of course, the snake bonus game counts as doing some extra work. LOL). You won’t become a millionaire overnight, but if you’re a consistent online shopper and weekly ride share user like me, the money does add up! Honestly, I can’t think of a good reason NOT to give the app a shot. ***TIP*** Take a few moments to really make wise choices on your 5 power offers, as you won’t be able to change them later. Make sure you pick the places/services that you shop at or use the most in order to make the most of what Drop has to offer! Very important.

Gone wayyyy downhill. So I’ve used this app for the past few years and I really really liked it but here recently they changed how you can redeem your points. Used to you could redeem your points at anytime for the gift card of your choosing for certain amounts based on the amount of points you collected but now you can only do it at noon on Thursdays for one amount. And the kicker is they “only have a limited amount” so within 30 seconds ( and that’s being generous) they are sold out if you don’t get an error message. I have tried for three weeks to redeem my points and nothing but the error message. They have pretty much made it impossible to get gift cards now which is the whole selling point of the app. Idk why they changed it but it’s no longer worth it. Save your time and energy and do not bother with this app. They way the app is set up you get nothing out of it other than wasting your time and letting them collect data on where you shop and how much you spend. So unless something changes to make the app better like it was I will likely be deleting.

Questioning their TRUSTWORTHINESS and Reliability.…. I have been using this app for a while and recently cashed in 25,000 points for a gift card (that is their minimum for cashing out). The message advised me it may take at least 60 days to receive the gift card. That’s not good. I understand brands being strapped for cash due to our economy, but OTHER REVIEWS posted here have me concerned. I use other apps and one actually had an upgrade recently that quickened the reward release time by utilizing Zelle, some that use PayPal (a business day or two to receive my reward), and another I have has a maximum wait time of 72 hours to receive the gift card (no longer time frame than this is acceptable for me, personally). I am so glad I use multiple apps that are able to help me (as I’ve helped them by submitting my shopping habits regularly) during this period in my life where I do need the help and value it. A SHOUTOUT and big thanks to receipt apps that deliver on their promises in a more timely fashion: CoinOut, Fetch Rewards, Receipt Hog, Receipt Jar, Pogo, and Receipt Pal. 🧾

Absolute junk and a scam app now!. Drop used to be a great app and I’ve been using this app for 4 years now. However, off late, it feels like one of those apps that scam customers by getting access to their data, but giving them nothing back. As a customer, when you have access to all my data and I earn points based on that data, why is the redemption of those point made so impossible? First of all, they only allow to redeem points in a very small scale every Thursday at 1 PM, and I have been trying to redeem for the past six weeks. No luck. Every time I get the same error message - we ran out of gift cards. As a customer, this is very frustrating that I only get an option to redeem very few of my points once for 30 seconds every week, and then I don’t get the gift card ever. All in all, I think if they don’t change their policy of redeeming the points, I think customers are going to just go away.

USED to be a good app. I’m so disappointed to be writing this but I am at the end of my rope with this app. I have been using Drop since 2017 and have loved it. Gift cards used to be instant and easy to redeem. Now the process is a nightmare, like many other users have written. I waited my 60 day period over the summer and right before my gift card should have come, they said instant gift cards were back. Ever since then, I have been on the app plenty before 1:00pm and every single time without fail my app freezes up, will not load gift cards, and I get an error message. As soon as the error message goes away, all gift cards are sold out. I have emailed customer service a number of times and have gotten basically the exact same response back. Again, this whole situation is so disappointing considering how good the app used to be. Now, why would I even bother using the app to shop or play games? The app people clearly do not care about their consumers. I know I am not the only one with this experience which is validating but upsetting. Hopefully they listen to consumers and fix the issues.

29k points missing out 10 dollars!!!. This is gonna be a long one so buckle up!!! Ok tried to play a game directed to ad gem to complete offer… so i did spent 9.99 for a game pass which was required to get points and have been pulling teeth with their customer service for a month! I have not received answers until today… and get this they said they wont honor it!!! And i qoute… “Our app does not award purchases on the Apple App store, or for purchases via these games. To earn on games, you need to activate the arcade offer and download it via the link provided, I'm afraid. “ I downloaded through their app their links!!! And have gotten rewarded through adgem before so thats not it!!! I am livid!!! I was suppose to get 29k points and got nothing! Nada zip!!! Because well they wanna try to screw with people!!! It shouldn’t have been an option through the app if you weren’t gonna honor it with proof!!! That i did everything for the points!!! Like seriously!!! You’re failure to mediate and monitor your app is not my fault! And for that reason alone Those points should be honored period!!!

DONT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. I used to love this app, it was great, you earned points by shopping and you could redeem gift cards whenever you wanted. The app has gone through major changes and is now an absolute joke. It works fine during the week, you can earn points and shop but there’s no chance of redeeming any of those points. The app crashes on Thursdays when it’s time to redeem the gift cards and they only allow you to redeem $25 a week. Whenever I have gotten the chance to redeem a gift card and use it, there’s never any money on it! I have emailed drops customer service and they told me it must be my email getting hacked and to change my password, which I have and it’s continued to happened. There’s also a very slim chance you’ll receive a giftcard, they only give out a certain amount per week, and I am not exaggerating when I say they are gone within seconds. I would never ever, EVER recommend anyone download this app, where as I used to tell everyone I knew how great it was. It’s such a scam and it really should just go out of business at this point, which is probably what’s going to happen. DONT DOWNLOAD!

Disappointing. For a while, I enjoyed Drop and it was fun to earn modest rewards by simply shopping the way I already did. However, the popularity of the app has led to poor customer service and, worse, offers that aren’t redeemed as promised. (I went out of my way to complete two Groupon orders in the app only to be told by Drop’s team that I hadn’t done so and I wouldn’t receive points for these offers.) In the last few weeks, as I’ve continued to shop with retailers that should accrue points in my account (Lyft, Walgreens, Trader Joe’s...), my points have remained the same. There is now a banner that acknowledges “We are experiencing delays,” so they know there’s a problem but there are no signs of a fix. I’m still missing many points. The trade-off of giving this company access to your credit cards and total transparency with respect to your shopping habits is, frankly, not worth it when all you’re getting in return is an occasional gift card. And thanks to these snares and delays, it’s tough to even get that. Think carefully before giving your secure information over to anyone.

Going downhill. I’m bummed. I really want to continue to like this app as much as I did when I first discovered it, but that’s not the case anymore. My husband was surprised I was even still using it because he got irritated with the changes to gift card redemption (you can only claim a gift card once a week at a specific time that they are released, and they are usually all sold out within 1-2 minutes. I’ve had enough points in my account for several weeks for a gift card but still have not been able to redeem.) I told him I liked to play the daily games, so that’s why I kept coming back. Well, now they don’t even offer those anymore (basketball game and snake game). I don’t see a point of using this app anymore. It started off great, but all of the newer changes are not in the users interest. Wish drop would listen to the the users feedback - doesn’t seem worthwhile to keep it downloaded anymore.

Can’t redeem for a gift card!. Like many other users have stated, I have used Drop for a long time and it has turned in to a crappy experience. I used to be able to redeem points for gift cards (most of which I could use within a few minutes) and I stopped trying during the period of time they were “updating” the redemption process when they said it would take up to 60 days to receive the gift card after redemption. Well, I’m now sitting on over $150 in rewards that, week after week, I have been unable to redeem because they “sell out” of gift cards within 1-2 minutes of the “new and improved” (note the sarcastic tone) weekly drop. My guess is they have about FIVE gift cards per week for everyone to fight over! Every Thursday at 1:00 Eastern, I try to log on to redeem points and the app is slow/sluggish/constantly “updating” and the cards are gone when the app finally loads. Very frustrating and support just says they know there are issues. 🤬

Not what it used to be :(. Drop was my favorite cashback app. Understandable, the company went through some issues with the bank collapse early in the year and after a brief “run around”, refunded the points in order to redeem gift cards later. You save up for gift cards using 25,000 for $25 gift card or 50,000 for $50 points, and so on. Not the ridiculous gift card scam is becoming an obnoxious, seeming scam. The fact they sell out in less than seconds is total B.S. and customer service? Complete waste of time. I have 115,000 points I can’t use, but you have all of my data. I hoped to hang in there and not ‘drop’ out, but I’m not confident the tracking is safe anymore, the gift card redemption process now is a complete waste of time, and it is super disappointing that there isn’t even a decent process to reward people who have been supporting the app for years, as well as the complete lack of communication. HOLD UP YOUR END OF THE DEAL DROP! :( I’d love to update my review with good news one day but I’d give zero stars right now if I could. :(

You can’t cash out anymore*SCAMMERS*. I went to cash out last week and never got my gift cards. Their saying it takes 2-3 months now! Wth! Y’all got yours but now your not giving me mine! Can’t wait to watch you fail because you desired scamming people will work now. Only until they go to cash out. It’s only so long now before there’s no one left to scam. I’ve cached out before. Been doing this a long time but all the sudden I can’t get my earnings…. And NO IT DOESNT TAKE LONGER ON OTHER APPS! That’s just a lie! I got my other in 20 mins in fact I’ve NEVER had a app take 60 days for something I’d already earned! I do believe Drop sold us out, Apple too considering how many 1 * there is if you sort by most resent. Rich people work for rich people and never have nothing left for you… don’t fall for for the CEO email. They gave my points back, now there’s a error trying to claim. What’s the odds SMH DO NOT add your card back and if you have it on there delete it so they can’t be getting money that they have no plans to pay you with. As I said in my email, Good riddance, scammers, here’s to wishing you exactly what you did to us!
