Super cute!. I love this for the aesthetic and it’s probably the best app out there to give that 80s effect. I’m not sure if I’m stupid though because I can’t find a photo option, only the video option. I just take screenshots of the video to get a photo but it doesn’t turn out as nice as I’d want. I’d pay for a photo option but I am not sure if the paid version of the app includes that. Really good overall though!

great ! .. with a Catch .. this app is , by far , the Most aesthetically pleasing vhs retro camera Out there that doesnt look Like a crappy “ 90s aesthetic “ tiktok . but there IS a couple problems . first Of all , theres a .. limit on recordings ? ive never seen a camera App that works in a similar system To candy crush or any Other mobile game . you can Watch an ad to get more , but its still off To me . secondly , the pro version is Way packed with features That should be default ( not all of them , but Still ) . i know that People need money , but come on .. importing videos is a Limited feature ? and custom titles Too ? how else would you Use the titler unless it was Your own custom text ? i dont think Anyone would want to choose to Have a watermark For the app plastered onto The screen of their video . the pro version isnt Even a subscription , and its very cheap , but think Of a younger person getting this app and wanting more out of it And their strict parents wont Pay for the pro version ( which is a Very common scenario ) . i would Like to additionally mention That i previously Had this app before these newer Updates , and none Of this existed . i will be Purchasing pro , but it feels unusual for This app to have a feature Like this . ps - hope This does not come Off as a raving , Angry review - i love the App . these few things Just irk me a Little . thank You for Reading !

It’s what I wanted but there is an issue. When I’m trying to record and like 20 secs I’m it starts disorienting. Like I get that they want people to buy the pro but seriously, only 20 secs? It should ya e been like a minute. Other than that problem, I really like the aesthetic of it and is good for recording. I’d say fix that issue and I’ll use it a lot more

amazing!!. I love the quality of this app and how there are no bothersome ads whenever i go on it. There is a limit to the length of recording though, and you can’t change the date unless you pay. But for basic short vintage videos, this is a really nice app!

Love it. I really wanted something to record my sons videos, and I wanted that vintage feeling... definitely worth it! I wish we can take photos tho! But other than that it has not crashed once, and the videos automatically save to your camera roll

Just great for starting analog horror. I honestly find this app amazing, the camera is super crisp. People say that you have to pay and that there is a catch, it’s just 4 dollars to make the app better, it’s just great, I don’t get why people say you have to pay for the full package you do but it’s still useable without paying 4 measly dollars

Awesome app!!. This app is a really great VHS app! I can use it whith ease because the buttons are easy to tell!! Other apps I used have terrible sound quality, unlike this app, it ha perfect quality and great effects! Other apps try to promote there app using your video with their logo in it, but this app doesn't. 10/10

It’s ok. The app was really good in the beginning but once I would try to film my self doing things and when I would set the camera down and record, the screen turns black and the video stops recording and then it doesn’t save and I wasn’t recording an absurd amount of time like 30 seconds and it would shut off. This happens every time I set it down and record and walk away to do something in film

Exceeded my expectations as a lite version. UPDATE! In this version, they totally ruined the app for profit. Now you have to watch ads to be able to record. Before, you could record up to a minute when you left a review and it was perfect for moments and Instagram. ———————— The main functionality is there and you get the taste for the paid version. By far, this is truly the most authentic VHS experience ever. My only complaint is that there is too many tape dropouts. I dont want to turn them off completely but have them triggered by something like motions or true randomness every minute. The current dropout interval is so short you’ll get one every few seconds.

Closest Thing You Can Get To VHS!. this app is really good, it is the closest thing to vhs while also not overdoing it. While watching ads for more clips is annoying, the free version is amazing. I also like the fact that the PRO version is a one-time payment, and not a monthly subscription. When I get home from my 2-week trip, I will try to convince my mother to let me get the pro version. Amazing App!

This app is amazing. This app is amazing . I use it all the time for fun videos with my friends because it gives a super cool 80s like filter. I’ve tried to find a filter like this before but I’ve only found ones similar. The filter has the time, date and blurry like 80s lines. You should get it because I recommend to.

Absolutely Love This App!. This app is literally amazing! Anywhere I go like traveling, I just have to pull out this camera lens. the filter on it is very cute and the way we can zoom in and out slowly reminds me of the old camera. it’s quite enjoyable to capture memories with this. Will not be upset with this download.

This is perfect if you’re trying to film weddings, birthdays, camping trips or even if you’re trying to make your own 80’s/90’s era movie and you could also make music videos with it!! Awesome for making Backrooms found footage videos.. I love this app. It’s great for making horror from the 1980’s. I even checked and yes the camera quality is incredibly on point. Would recommend.. But it’s kinda silly how you can’t record for as long as you want. :(

Fun to use, annoying watermark with free version.. Fun app I like the effects, I don’t mind the short recording time but the watermark for the free version is annoying. Update: Did not realize the “titler” function could be disabled, I thought it was a water mark. Updated to 5 stars I love this app!

Do not buy vhs apps, there absolutely horrible and charge you money if you even want to use it, If you want a vhs filter you better pull out your wallet because let me tell you ALL OF THEM ARE USELESS WITHOUT MONEY 💴. Just like this one, and the same thing with the apps is that they all “need” a premium subscription to import videos, longer recording time, and a bunch of other stuff. This piece of crap app is useless and I would rather buy something that would actually make vhs tapes instead of these dumb vhs apps. As I said before DONT BUY VHS APPS UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND MONEY

Great app, no subscription. If I remember right you do have to pay a few dollars for all features but it’s a one time payment, not a subscription. Nice frames, nice import/export. Really cool features. Would be nice if it had portrait mode but it’s not a big deal. Highly recommend!

Great app but one problem. So first off I love this app it’s the best looking vhs app out there, but there’s one problem, whenever I record a video the audio of the video makes a humming sound and I can’t hear the audio I was trying to record, other then that its awesome :)

Can view videos. Idk what the deal is. The effects are cool, but I hit record and then try to view the video and the app freezes on a black screen. Try to relaunch the app and the video is gone. Needs a patch to fix the bug Edit: just realized the vids are automatically saved to your phone. Changed to 3 stars. I will update if I end up liking the app but I wish the auto save would have been explained

Amazing App!. I was looking for a good app that did this and then I found this. This is a really cool app and all the small details like more distortion when it’s moving are great. I love that instead of having a strict number of recordings or random ads everywhere. You can watch ads beforehand for longer recording times.

Please change this!. This app is a great filter overall, and I love it a lot, but when I try to change the date, it won’t let me! I don’t know if anyone else has this problem, but it would be really great if I could access the way to change the date! Other than that, this app is great! I would give it 5 stars if I could change the date!

Decent. It’s actually really good, I don’t get why people looovveee to complain so much. Yes there’s only 20 seconds to it but, i don’t really enjoy to take loonnnng videos so I’m fine with it. I also really really love how it looks and I can’t stop using it. It gives some really cute and good vibes for every time I use it. It’s a pretty interesting app. Really nice app, I’d like to buy the full version but I can’t bring myself to spend money on it, but this is a great alternative. There are some things that you’re giving up by using the free version but I think this is a fair and good free trial nothing super duper special but if you want to make videos that look old then it’s great.

Nothing fun to do. Is that is great to know but I’m just I’m just not happy that The cooler version has all the fun stuff that you can do in the $3 Version can I do in the stupid part is can’t even take the date out in the free version super annoying and I just wish you had like a little bit of fun stuff in the free version not like all of them just a little bit. but once again this app is pretty cool

Its a pretty good filter. This app is pretty good I hope they keep updating it for newer phone support. If there was a static effect control option that would be nice. Other than that the app itself is pretty good. It could have had the option of adding a few more filters on top of the VHS camera filter but it really doesn't need them. The app is fine as it is just as long as they keep updating it to keep it working tight.

Amazing. I’ve been using this app to record a school Vlog and the footage is amazing. It’s definitely one of the best VHS apps I’ve came across and I’m glad I found it💗 one thing I would add though would be an option to make the “date and time” smaller or have the options for filters but other than that the app is literally the best💗💗💗💗🖤

Wont let me watch an ad!!. Very very very good app. but when it asked me to watch a ad, it says “Can’t Load Ad” “There was problem loading the ad. Please try again later. And i tried over and over, but it does it every time. I have full wifi, 2-3 bars of cellular. And my internet is good and fast. Please fix this. Im giving this four stars since no one else in the comments had a issue. It may be my phone. When it gets down to about 4 gigabytes it starts acting up, weird glitches, missing apps, invisible app thumbnails, random crashes (etc). I try restarting and if that fixes it i will leave another comment.

THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER. So me and my friends are very loving of the 60s-90s and this is perfect for that vintage vibe. We go out to the park and record with his and post our videos online and so many people enjoy it and people constantly ask what camera we use. I just fell in love with this app! It’s amazing.

THIS APP IS THE TRUTH 😳‼️. Legit vintage VHS vibes. If you’re a creative like I am, an app like this is a dream come true. I use it all the time. They’ve changed this version of it to where you have to watch an ad to record 5 15 second videos, which can be bad if you run out and don’t have any data or wifi at the time, but besides that, no complaints. I definitely plan on buying the full version soon.

Just a question. Rare vision is an great app! It looks really legit! But just one question, why did you guys felt the need for to pay for the effects and everything? Why do we have to pay just to import a video?

Great app!. This app does exactly what it’s supposed to- it emulates the nostalgic feeling of shooting old VHS home movies. Even with the free version, the details such as the motion tracking and tape noise are great touches. Only complaint is the fact that videos are capped at the amount of tapes you have left, and ads must be watched to obtain more.

Uhh. I’m writing a five star review because the app told me that if I wrote a five star review my app would upgrade. So that’s what I’m doing right now but this app is not a five-star more Like A two star one, you can only record a video for like 10 seconds 2, The video like blurs towards the end 3, you can only have a certain number of videos.

The worst VHS filter ever. So I’m not trying to bash the creators of the app I actually really like it only the other one that they made so let’s begin with the first problem the limit so if you don’t know there’s like a limit and it has a VHS on it and then it disappears in like three seconds also, if it runs out you have to watch a ad or wait to use it so basically you don’t want people on your website so you can make money number two to many ads! if you’re looking for ad free VHS filter, go on the bottom and pay the $4 one because that’s Better Than This so in conclusion, this is the worst VHS filter app in the whole entire world. (this can be useful if you’re looking to download it.)

This app is the best!. I’ve been looking for a great app that would give me a good VHS effect and folks, this one is it. Sure, you get 15-20 seconds or so but that’s enough for a cute clip that you can use to put together a video. If you want longer time, then you’ll have to pay for unlimited but I feel that free is beneficial. To me, anyway.

Amazing app but 1 thing. This app can sometimes remind me of AFV, but here’s what I’m asking. The problem is that is can you take a picture of the 1980s filter or is their no way that you can take a picture of the photo your taking in the 80s filter. I was asking is their was a easier was to take a picture on this one and the full version. But y’a it is a great app the limits are fine I just wouldn’t recommend it now and y’a that’s all I’m gonna say about this amazing 🤩 app.

Just a suggestion?. This app is wonderful, I highly suggest it. May it would be nice you you were able to edit the date in the bottom left corner of the camera, instead of the current date, one could edit it to whichever date they wish. Like 2001, 1995, 1980, 1977, etc... Thank you.

Boost. I totally love this app, and i take a lot of cool videos and memories, but the only problem is I can’t take pictures or have the light/flash on the selfie mode. I also try to delete the pictures from my iphone camera roll because it doesn’t really have space but i really want it to be able to delete my videos on my icloud and make it save on the app. Thank you...🙂💎

As real as it gets. Been looking for a great vhs emulator to give the look and feel of those old tapes and this is it. Legitimately the closest I’ve seen to actually having a camcorder in hand. The flat image and tracking lines work so well and the rotation static is a nice touch. Older consumer camcorders would mess up if you moved them too quickly or flipped them over and this replicated that very well. Great app for the lo-fi and vaporwave look.

This is a bribed review :). Overall, I truly do enjoy this app. It makes for great aesthetic videos. I recommend getting it...there are still in app purchases though, but the app is still fine without them. I wish there was a few more features open to the free loaders though. I would recommend it to more people if that was so. Have a lovely day :))

Change the date. I love the app it really gives me that feel of nostalgia, I just feel as if you should be able to change the date with the free version. That would be fantastic. If I were able to change the date with the free version I will give it a 5 stars

Really takes me back.... I’ve tried other VHS apps, and this is the most authentic. It’s very easy to use. The only issue I have is that you only get 5 minutes of recording time—then they want you to write a review to double that. I think they should give you at least 20 minutes from the start. Or better yet, give you a few days of recording. Other than that, it’s cool.

Color bleed effect could use some work. The effect is good and I like how the camera is blurred and then sharpened like real VHS cameras. I think the color bleed effect could use some work though. On real VHS cameras, it was very subtle and had to do with squishing the display and then expanding it back to the normal size. A basic side motion blur effect where it only has an effect on the colors would work. Otherwise I like the app. Fix the color bleed, maybe tone down the grain and damage and you'll get 5 stars from me!

Amazing but.... hello i just wanted to say that this app is amazing and i love it so much. it just feels like your in the 1900s but the problem is i just want it to be free so everyone can enjoy it and don’t have to worry about paying. i really love making vhs edits but i cant afford this at this moment right now. so i just hope you guys can change this and make everything for free or a lot less cheaper so everyone can be happy that we can afford it. i just wanted to be fair :) overall very good and amazing app!

Really like the app. honestly I tried another app similar to this. However, it had the apps logo and I really didn’t want that but with this app, it doesn’t come with it! I use for my edits, like birthday edits for friends, family, and even fan made edits lol. It’s really good, especially with this vintage theme ! I really would recommend this.

Very good get app. I always wanted a cool video mutagen camera but now I don’t have to waste money on one this app is awesome but I wish there wasn’t a limit to how many tapes you get I wish that if you watched two ads it gave you twice the amount of tapes. Or my phone is bugged and that is a feature either way I love this app and strongly suggest it.

I’m having a blast with it(For 2 minute bursts). I’m having an amazing time making funny videos worth friends and other retro pictures. Sadly, there is a premium and I don’t think it allows for infinite recording time. Anyways, what I mean is you’ll get about two and a half minutes worth of time to record what you want, after that you have to watch some ads to recharge you recording time. To me, that’s unacceptable and even just to change the date is required in premium purchase with the bundle. It’s only 5.49$ but that’s how it is and I hope they change that. If they want to make money off of it they should do it elsewhere, like in a version that’s has different camera types but not this. Besides that, its a blast to use!

It’s so worth it at first I thought that the videos that I took in the app I wasn’t able to see but then I realized that It automatically saves into your camera roll so I don’t think that there is any bugs in this app I surely do recommend you to download this app it really is worth your time!!!

Dad Approved app. If you want that retro look...this is it! Approved by Dads and Grandpas who lugged heavy camcorders whom you never saw, but heard ‘em asking kids to do their tricks and wave while showing off their Christmas gifts. There’s no stumbling over wrapping paper to get great ‘yesterday’ footage - just download and go!

Great app, just wish you didn’t have to pay $4 to get the full deal. I really enjoy the app. I downloaded just today, and I’ve already used it multiple times. It functions great, and looks just like a real VHS recorder.

Wow. The app doesn’t glitch and give about 20 seconds if you don’t pay. Of course it would be better to have access to everything. The back camera quality and filter is very nice. This is a really good app!

Good but something is missing. I love it it’s just that we have to wait until the bars are done which is a little annoying but overall it’s amazingly good 😌

Issss ok. I use it more than I should but never seem to capture anything I really like cause of time limit and limited effects. I’d pay for it if it had more effects built in but it’s pretty standard stuff. Buttttt 5 star for the free version

Looking good!. Hi. This app is looking great so far! It does exactly what it tells you it does! Sure it’s limited but I went in expecting that since it is a “lite” version. Overall it’s great. I reccomend.

Good but...... This app is good is just I wish it was like the paid version it would help so much but besides that this is a 5 just please add some new filters and let us use the app with videos

Awesome!. I love the nostalgia that the app gives you and me. You can swipe up and down to reduce the glitchyness of the camera. You can even zoom in and out like a real cam corder! 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent App. I really love this app. Other apps have horrible cameras but this one has great camera quality with high FPS. It also sounds and looks like a real VHS tape with the low static in the background and other details in the video. Definitely a 10 out of 10.

My fav vintage!!!!. I’ve always been in love with the look of VHS, vinyls,disposable cameras, etc. and I can never find the perfect VHS camera app that made it look realistic. But once I found this I automatically knew I loved it the zoom makes it look like an actual VHS camera!!!! I definitely recommend

Awesome VHS Camcorder.. It’s look really like a real camcorder from the 80’s and the 90’s I used to play around with when I was a kid in the early 90’s! This brings back so many happy memories though!

Disappointed. I honestly was disappointed because I don’t want to pay $4 for the upgraded version. When you go to settings everything is blocked out so you can’t change the date and add your own text. So I would at least like to change the date and time as it shows specifically on the advertisement. I’m disappointed.

Geat App. The only thing I don't like is you have to watch ads to get tapes. But can get the full app to have unlimited tapes. I love it completely otherwise! Give it a try!

Good. I actually like them just not the fact that they put their water mark in the middle of the video and you have to pay to import videos

Meets My Expectations!. This app is so good to use when you have Instagram and want to post some really cool videos. I have been looking for an app like this but none of them have been doing as great as this one

Really nice app. Tbh I’m really only doing this for the doubled recording time that’s been promised, but this app provides my favorite filter of all the VHS apps, and it’s probably the best out there for aesthetic quality. Would totally use for like music videos or such.

Very good Filter. Great app. It has a lot to it. Though, there’s one thing that’s not very swell. It’s the cost of the app upgrade. Though, the lite version itself is pretty good, the date and time change feature needs to happen. Good app though.

Awesome camera.. Awesome camera, I’m using this for an early 2000s skate edit and it’s done really well so far. The only reason that makes it difficult is how fast the tapes are used up but other than that it’s great

IM IN LOVE WITH THIS. Whenever I make videos with this I get a feeling of nostalgia even though the video is only 5 minutes old. It gives that retro aspect as if you’re 30 years older and you’re looking at old home videos. All in all it’s a great app

A 1980’s Camcorder in your phone. Being a child of the 80’s and 90’s this app truly does a remarkable job of turning your phone’s camera into a retro Camcorder complete with scan lines and retro display text. This is great for making retro style home movie or found footage films. Loving this app.

Doesn’t really look good. Downloaded the app thinking it was just a simple filter over your videos, but they over-exaggerated with the “VHS” effects, that you can barely see anything you’re recording. It’s just static everywhere. Don’t waste your time, this app is only to direct you to their better premium app so you pay them for THAT instead.

Read it if you want too!. I like this app because It reminds me of my dad or my uncle when they had a camera similar to this one and it looks cool it takes back to the old days!

Nostalgic. Honestly was a little skeptical at first, and only downloaded cause other people had it and I wanted to see what the hype is about, but actually ended up really liking the homemade/ nostalgic feel to the videos :)

This app is awesome. Looks how it suppose to look as shown in the picture only down side is that you only have 15 seconds to record but you could pay $4 and u could record as much as you want

Best VHS filter but...... Hi, I’ve used this filter and it’s amazing but... I don’t have money for premium so I can use it on my videos. In a future update, can you let us allow to import and export videos without premium? Thanks! BTW 5 stars

LITERALLY THE BEST. I’ve tried editing my vids many times to make have that vhs vibe and never ended up how I wanted it. But this app made it easier to achieve that ! Plus it includes that exact time and date ! 💕

Pretty good. This app has way Breyer quality then the the other vhs apps I’ve seen! The only thing is if you don’t pay the 2.99 you are limited on time and the ability to do other options.

The video looks good, it’s free, and getting the extra features is very fairly priced. It’s the best looking, most authentic and comprehensive app for getting ~that 80’s/90’s aesthetic~.

This app is my personal time machine. Love it. When I first opened this app, it was great. I took videos of all my friends doing day to day happenings. Then one night, I felt a wind behind me. A vortex opened up and all of a sudden I was in 1984. But that’s okay, I don’t mind it ;)

Killer tofu. Oh e oh! Killer tofu! If you know, you know. RarevisionVHS is everything I wanted to achieve with its select filters for my videos! I only have the Lite version and advertisements have to play frequently so you can earn more video time, but it works just fine for the short clips and b-roll footage fillers for my projects. I highly recommend downloading the app and trying for yourself. Maybe you will want to upgrade.

Just like an old camera. One if the best camera apps I’ve ever had. And the fact that you can take off the watermark too is so cool. Definitely planning on buying the full version

🤬. I paid for my app to upgrade and I got nothing from it. As I tried to see if I could do everything that the upgrade was supposed to do all I got was the option to upgrade again!! The makers of this app really need to fix this issue. I have seen other reviews and I’m not the only one. It is a waste of money for everyone who isn’t getting what they paid for.

wish I had bought this before i purchase a different vhs app.. the most gorgeous vhs app by far. even if you don’t pay extra to unlock the full features it’s great for 90s inspired vignettes and photos. definitely recommend.

GREAT APP!. I got the free version and 20s is not enough time. Though if you just pay a little extra you get unlimited time which I think is fair cause unlimited duh and the creators need to make money how off of this. Overall great app!

This Camera is good. I like to use it for siren recordings and tv shows etc. i like it for stuff I can use than a original camera is google or apple.

Pretty accurate!!. So, I’ve been working on a short film, and this filter basically matches up to real VHS footage that I’ve seen. It’s not half bad. And yeah, of course, there are always deceiving reviews on things, but take my word for it. This is a really useful app for whatever you intend to use it for.

Liked it but... I really like this app but one thing I was sad about was I couldn’t find if there was anything where I could import photos from my gallery. I thought it would be cool because I have some cool videos in my gallery that would look great with the filters but I haven’t found anything yet. Idk, may just be over looking it

Great app. First of all if your into anything vintage you know this app will touch your heart. The old nostalgic feeling you get when you pop in vhs and see the quality and vibe of simpler times is worth downloading this app.

The Best. Much better than the other VHS apps, which mostly just do an ugly RGB split. I’ll probably buy the full version of this one. Hoping I can import vides to add effects to some recordings I did before I found this app.
