Serious Concern. I am totally conflicted about this... I love the game, don't get me wrong! I played the demo on my phone, for free of course, and when I got a job and everything, I was happy I could buy it! I brought all 5 chapters ready to play the heck out this game, starting with 1, only to have it crash EVERY time! I wouldn't even mind that part if only it didn't make me restart everything which means I can't even make it to the actual game play... I always crash right after Fran takes the pills for the first time. Is it because I'm on an iPad now or something? Please, any help would be appreciated cause I don't know if I can get my money back and I really do want to play the game

Doesn't work, save your money for now. Took my chances and got burned. Unfortunately, just as many others have experienced, the app crashes after the intro plays. I followed instructions to fix it on the developers' site but have ended up requesting a refund since the fixes did nothing in my case. I hope that the developers fix this, it seems a shame to miss out as the PC version of the game came highly recommended and I'd like to be able to give it a proper try.

Great game to help you enjoy reading. This game was the game that got me to enjoy reading my mom bout it for me when I was five or six The story plot and every little detail is amazing and I like how you can have different choices on a few things and they still work ten out of ten would saw amazing game I love you Can make the character think just like young girl and it just be how a girl would actually think

Zomg!. No bug issues for me. I can't tell if whoever made this game was having a good or bad shroom trip. Because woow! But fun point and clicker. Some of the puzzles are a little obscure but there's plenty of walkthroughs online. 👍👍

Wow! And No Glitches!. I love the series, once you start playing you get hooked through to the end of the last chapter. Its definitely Grimm’s Fairty Tales meets Mark Ryden! Loved Mr Midnight, the cat!! I think Fran Bow will be especially appreciated by arty, creative types and will most likely remain a cult classic. I have a 2018 ipad pro (iOS 12.0) and experienced zero glitches whatsoever!

Have to buy each chapter. I enjoyed this game, but it was SHORT. I clicked play chapter two... you have to buy the next chapter for another two dollars. In order to play the whole game, you have to spend ten dollars. That’s ridiculous.

Bug need to fix. There is a bug in the game so every time when I try to load it it will crash needs to be fixed but awesome game

Fun point & 'click' with an involved story. I really enjoyed the Fran Bow series (except the last chapter, but that's a different review). It's immersive, the art is enjoyable, and it's good, creepy fun. The designers did a nice job fleshing out an interesting world and it ran fine on my iPad Mini. I recommend it overall, but I was disappointed in the conclusion.

The Perfect game. This is the only game I played as soon as I saw Markiplier play it, and just know, it's the perfect game of perfect characters, a perfect storyline, perfect mixtures of terror and calm, and perfect gameplay with perfect music.

Very cool game but finishes too quickly for the price. bought and finished within 24 hours, probably with only an hour or so of game play. Really cool art and enjoyed the story line, but not buying a new app every day or two.

Unique and Riveting. This game was like a breath of fresh air! It was like finding an incredible book that you can't put down. The suspense and mystery melded perfectly with a captivating story. It was worth whatever I spent on each of the chapters. I can't wait to play more games by these developers!

Please Make a Part two of this whole series!. I played the full game and I loved it so much. I can’t explain how amazing this game is. So much detail and work and i love the story and the back story. I love the ending and the land isthersta. I’ve tried everything the sound just doesn’t work, I love this game and I love kill Monday walk through I got little misfortune for my Nintendo switch after seeing the Fran bow walk throughs and I love playing this but there’s no audio feedback when I play. It’s a great game and it’s so amazing and I love every moment of it but I’m a bit disappointed I cannot hear the game

I found a bug help!. I love the game...but there is a little problem. I can't get past the introduction. It looks like a good game with good art but this bug is a bit of a problem. I am using an iPad device which is said to have the Most problems with this game. The game is great and all but the bug is not allowing me to get the full experience. Beautiful game!. I NEVER leave reviews for anything in the App Store. First things first, I never had a single crash on this game. Played all 5 chapters and not a single issue. Secondly, this is an absolutely incredible game. It was such an amazing ride. You really have to use your brain in this game. The imagery and storyline will have you hooked after the first few minutes of gameplay. My only complaint is that we need to have 1,000 more chapters!!

I could be wrong. I could be wrong but I'm almost positive the game shut down my phone for a day. I tried playing it and I got thru the beginning talking about what happened then my phone frozen and went black, music would still play, my phone would still vibrate but I couldn't turn on my phone. Again it could've been something else though I strongly believe it was the game. I will test it again later to see if it was really the game or not.

This game is what inspired my love for HORROR. I LOVE THIS GAME TO BITS! If you are considering buying this game (and the rest of the chapters) I have a fair warning. This is NOT for the faint of heart. There IS blood and gore, but that’s part of what makes it good. If you DONT like watching intestines falling from the sky then don’t get this game 😂 But if you are fine with gore, definitely buy this. It’s a sad yet hopeful story about a ten year old girl who is so innocent that what is happening to her is so completely unfair that it makes you want to see the end. If you are one of those people who buy/play point and click games and whenever people are talking you just clickclickclickclick till they’re done, this game is not for you. The art style is BEAUTIFUL, I love the Tim Burton vibes this game gives off. This game is what inspires my LOVE for HORROR games. I had my friends play this and they all had nightmares for weeks! They were all legitimately angry at me for a long time 😂 Don’t go to all the most critical, because that’s full of 12 year old girls who are impatient and if a game crashes ONCE they think they have the right to sue everyone. Meh. I was looking for something similar and was excited when I saw something creepy that was a puzzle that didn’t involve hidden objects. I tried this one out and it’s more of a disconjointed story than a puzzle or a game. The clues are few and far between and I’m not complaining that they aren’t obvious, but they don’t make sense. The game consists of clicking on as many objects as possible and then getting an object that you end up testing on every other thing you can possibly click on before the item works. It’s too long for how far you get. It’s a trial and error clickfest and not a puzzler. Save your money.

It's crashing. I tried reinstalling it after deleting it, closing out of it and opening it again, everything. The game crashes after a few seconds of gameplay (after only 5 lines of dialogue). I love this game, but it isn't working.

👏 w o w. amazing game. dark concept, it really makes you take a step back and look at the world from a different view. the tim burton like animations add greatly to the charm of the whole storyline. the cute factors mixed in with the gory scenes make for a magnificent gameplay experience. i don't particularly like puzzle games (like... at all) but this one is very very interesting. recommend you to buy 100%. i've already played the entire game series. loved it.

Awesome, very dark game. The bugs are probably happening on older devices. My iPad2 can't run this game but my iPhone 6 Plus works perfectly. This game is total MK Ultra btw. Very dark, disturbing, not for kids. I'm not a fan of that type of thug per se I'm just saying it's a definite theme of this strange tale.

Great game no glitches always worked. Such a great game! I almost didn't buy because of all the negative reviews saying it stopped working but for me it never stopped working. I played the whole game to chapter 5 and loved it never had a glitch or a single problem. For those people having one I would look to see if your phone is compatible and has up to date software. 10$ well spent

Beyond awesome sauce!!!!. I didn't encounter any of the bugs that ppl were complaining about. It's now June I had no bug issues so whatever it was it's totally fixed :) Words cannot describe how much I love this game, like totally love every aspect of it! The cutest most unique game ever!!. Best game, worth every cent. I can’t believe I didn’t discover it earlier. The story and illustrations are simultaneously cute and creepy. The puzzles are creative, yet logical, so you never get stuck for too long. The amount of time between picking up an object and finding a way to use it is perfectly timed, so you won’t be left holding onto a huge inventory and not knowing what to do. Navigation is easy, intuitive, self-explanatory. The most unique and clever aspect about this game, that sets it apart from others, is that there are various “layers” of reality in each scene. And the quirky little details, such as Mr Midnight licking himself when Fran Bow is inactive for a while, is SIMPLY ENDEARING. Please make more games like this :)

The puzzles were hard but I love the game!. When I went onto the AppStore I was looking for creepy, cutesy, evil puzzle games so I searched up random games but Fran Bow came up. I decided to download the chapter 1 in case I might of liked it after I started playing it. I finished chapter 1 and kept thinking of the chapter 2 so I downloaded the second chapter and I loved it!!! Fran Bow is such an amazing puzzle game.

THE.BEST.GAME.EVER. I have no words other then ‘amazing’ I’ve downloaded and played all of the games this creator has made, but I can still say that Fran bow if the best one yet. Don’t get me wrong, little misfortune is amazing but I found Fran Bows story more interesting, the fact that Fran’s parents had died and now Fran must live with mental illnesses still hits me. (but I know what social anxiety feels like) and let’s talk about the last game, how this all leads to dr. Oswald and aunt Grace being guilty still makes me wonder what made them turn this way, after all the pain Fran went through, only to have her own Aunt betray her. However, I love the ending where we experience the fact that Fran lives happily in the 3rd reality(I would love to too) so good job! Plus I follow the creator on tiktok!

Awesome, but crashes when loading.... The game is great! I played it on my HP Windows 7 Laptop and works but on iOS, it crashes when I'm loading the chapter:my Sober day. Anyone have a fix for this?

Good game!. If you like point and click type games, then this is a pretty good one. It’s not terribly long, considering it’s only the first chapter, but it’s also pretty cheap, so I’m happy. The art is pretty good and the story is interesting. It’s a little creepy, but in a good way.

16+ maybe, but not for a 12 year old. Although the horror aspect of this game is well developed and the game itself is engaging and interesting, I’d caution that the 12+ age demo is misleading. Early in the game there are documents discussing the repeated sexual assault of a young child by a family member resulting in injuries, and using pills to see into the horror-style rendition of the room reveals the girl with bloody hand prints all over her body and bed. This is a really brief just-for-shock-value vignette into heavy subject matter many kids this age won’t be ready for, might be incredibly upset by, or could find really triggering depending on their life experiences. Using sexual assault in entertainment is a choice many film makers and game devs choose with varying degrees of tact and while I haven’t played enough of this game to make a final judgment on their use of it in the narrative, I definitely don’t think discussion of child rape is suitable content for a kid wanting to play a game on a tablet. Glad I played it before my 11 year old knew it existed!

One of the best point n click horror games. This game is fantastic....I've been looking for a while to find a game similar to "knock knock" and this is exactly it. The art is very dark yet innocent and storybook-like, and yet the game has a very eerie feeling to it. Whoever likes this game should try knock knock...I was even too creeped out to continue playing it at times. This games a little different by just how disturbing some of the images are...very demonic. Definitely recommend!

A lot of reading. This game is so well made. I think if you like creepy and point and click games, you will love this one. I personally just found there to be way too much reading. Even clicking on objects you don’t need/irrelevant, warrant 3 sentences. I don’t like that you have to talk to every single person you see and “choose” a path (it really does create a deep story line this way though!). That’s just my completely own preference and nothing to do with how well done this game is. I’m still giving this 5 stars. It’s an awesome game and I can see why so many love it. I will finish Chapter 1 and I could see myself downloading the entire series and playing them on the side. Also LOVE that they ordered their game 1,2,3 etc. It’s confusing when you find a new game with a story line and you start in the middle of it.

How to describe?. 6/17/18 I just finished chapter 2 and know I will play all of them. The storyline is extremely dark, yet there is some occasional comic relief. A tiny bit of cuteness, too. It's the train wreck you can't look away from. I already know I will play to the end. Can't believe that in the middle of all this blood and depression they had me play Frogger! HAVE to love developers like that. 07/10/16 I finished the entire game while ago. Chapter one seems to be the scariest of all. Each chapter is so different it's hard to explain. I really did love this! Well done!

Great, but.... I bought the first one and loved it. Played it all the way through without any help. The alarm code was tough, but finally figured it out. The only reason that I gave this 4/5 stars is it's the buying of the next game. I much have rather have paid like $6 for a bundle pack. Now, I really enjoyed the first chapter, but now I'm thinking about... do I want to spend $10 for the rest of the series? I rather have played one long continuous game rather than now deciding after every game, do I really want to continue? I wish that was an option for purchase. Like other games (and I play/ pay a lot for adventure/ escape games), the first chapter is free then I, the consumer, decide if I want to buy the rest as a bundle pack, which I'd be willing to do. At any rate, the first chapter was quite good. The only comment I would say about the game is that the response rate is a bit slow when changing screens (pressing the eyeball to switch rooms took several taps) and clicking on certain items took several taps as well to interact with them. I have an iPhone 7+ and an updated iOS. Other than that a good game. I'm still considering buying chapter 2? But, because I paused my gameplay, it gives me time to think if I want to spend more money. The developers deserve to get paid, I get that! But now that I've stopped, do I want to pay more?

Powerful/Dark Story. Fantastic game with intensely dark themes and imagery and a great concept. The game is like a Horror version of "The Silent Age", but I think this game makes better use of the main element. I am not usually one to pay for apps, but this one intrigued me and it did not disappoint! My only criticism would be that the chapters are split into different apps, rather than just being available for purchase within one app. Seems like an odd choice.

Well...I’m speechless. Yes, it’s an amazing game. But there should be a viewer alert due to the countless images of overdone gore/blood & murder scenes. Wasn’t planning on purchasing this game since it seemed like a money pit: it’s broken down into 5 chapters at $1.99 each. But tried the first chapter and was immediately hooked. I’m NOT a fan of gore or psychological horror games...especially when it comes to children. But Fran Bow is such a sweet, innocent character with her bestie Mr Midnight, that her kindness and giggles balanced out the macabre. Strange dichotomy in an adventure game. But it worked. Because the creativity, amazing world building, interesting characters and unusual puzzles really drew me in and wishing for more (with less gore). But this game is also an expose of psychological trauma in children. These devs must have done a lot of research to understand how severe trauma affects the psyche of children. And while it’s a taboo topic, society must face such realities in order to have Compassion & Empathy for the most vulnerable. The devs were able to touch on the mental breaks actually found in children while leaving the character intact and finding personal strength & control. Maybe it’s the storyline...maybe it’s the heart wrenching empathy we feel for the suffering of innocents...but this is one of those games that just leaves a permanent imprint. That said...this game should have an age restriction. So much blood and gore. And please...dead babies should NEVER be used as prop imagery in a game....never. Each chapter took about an hour and I do feel like I got my money’s worth

Really?! Major Anachronism. So, beautiful art, surreal story, and all that. But something like this requires a willing suspension of disbelief. The last major puzzle in chapter on killed that for me. It׳s set in 1944, in an asylum that seems to do brain surgery with basic hand tools and knows nothing about sepsis, but somehow there is an alarm panel with a touch tone keypad, an LCD display and red and green LED's to enter the code? A simple combination lock would have done the job for the puzzle without being a major anachronism. Smaller anachronisms include color TV and fluorescent lighting (technically available, but not at a price that a hospital that can't afford plaster for its walls could spend).

Love it!!!. I love this game, it crashes a few times at the beginning when Fran gets up but I believe it is a minor thing. I rated this 5 stars for the actual game, I believe that the bugs are a hiccup and if the game gets an update, then it should be fixed. I don't believe in rating a game based off of minor bugs or bugs in general unless the bug is really big and causes the game lose its effects. So, this is a good game, good story, good characters,good plot,good setting. This game is a good horror game and I think most horror fans would like it and it is also a good puzzle game as well I have gotten stuck a few times and I get annoyed at that sometimes but I don,t let it ruin the game.

Crashes :(. I absolutely love this game to bits, but the fact that I can't play it because the game continually crashes upsets me. I don't usually buy apps, so seeing that this game has bugs bothers me. I hope there will be an update for this game to fix the bugs in the future.
