Love it, but annual fee???. You know I would love to have this!!! And I NEVER buy anything, I mean it’s been years since I bought anything on iTunes and seriously considered buying this, if it was a one time purchase, because I’m really sketched out of annual fee type of stuff. But I’ll think it over. I think just the annual fee stereotype are scaring me, because those renewals always get you. But it’s look nice so far and my sis thinks it pretty cool too.

Change glitch setting. I will give the app 5 stars as soon as you change the glitch settings so that you can turn the glitch off. When you import a photo and adjust the settings to change the effects the glitch is always on the picture and it is messing them up. Make a way so you can remove the glitch setting completely.

lovely but too expensive. I love this app. It’s incredible and anything you make with it is beautiful. Whenever I do use the app i get asked about it but it’s getting harder and harder to do so as the app is on the more expensive side. it costs $4.99 a week and can’t be payed through Itunes. If it were $4.99 per month even that would be much better and I wouldn’t hesitate to pay the fee but right now it’s just to much.

Useless. I wanted to try out one of the effects that I’ve seen in many videos before, but I couldn’t even clearly see my video because there was a giant message covering the screen that said if I want to view or save my video I would have to get the premium app. What’s the point of downloading this if it’s just going to tell me to download something else to even properly use it? The message also had an x in the corner as if there’s an option to get it off the screen but the x is also useless.

So far so good...expect. So far I really love using his app to vlog for my IGTV vlogs. I love all of the different effects and the three different sizes to record... However, my only issue is that it seems to be a slight audio lag about the middle to the end of the video when previewing in the app and in my saved videos. Hopefully this issues gets fixed because this app is pretty cool.

Almost Everything for premium?. So I got this app, and It looked cool! I wanted to give it a shot because I thought maybe it would be better than the other apps I got, I tried it and put my video, and when I went to go for backgrounds and for the stickers only 2 or 1 backgrounds were non premium and they weren’t that good, and for the stickers, I guess it’s okay but a lot of them we had to pay. I find this annoying in a lot of apps I download, please fix this or atleast make more good backgrounds for non premiums.

READ THIS!!!. It’s actually extremely great app I did not use it for video editing or picture and then I used it just for the making of the video it worked just like a real VHS you were able to save it and it was great! it clearly said that when you download it you need to make in game purchases so for everyone who saying that they were so surprised they need to buy a pack so they can save a 15 second video clip that they edited from the camera roll, it’s exactly what they said they’re gonna have to do. But you get to create your own videos on VHS for free and I think the app works 100% fine. you should definitely get this app sorry if you think not but I do really think it’s a great app and totally me worth my time. But if you want to edit a video for free, don’t get the app. But if you wanna Make your own vidéos on VHS then I HIGHLY recommend this app.

...sigh. its really cool with great effects and all but really ya'll need to tend to the issues a lot of people are mentioning in the review. Like the effects are GREAT and you don't get that kind of quality in other retro vhs apps. Another thing to note is that for some reason when you just want to take a picture it comes out zoomed in to one corner of the shot... like whats up with that?

DO NOT BUY! 100% SCAM. I first download this app thinking that it would be free! (clearly i was mistaken) The only way for you to make a video on this app is for you to get premium! I get premium just to make one video (which wasn’t even good btw)! Also, premium is 4.99 a week! Right after I make my video I immediately delete the app thinking it won’t be able to charge me! The next week a get a credit card stamens saying i was charged by this stupid app! I redownload the app to try and opt out of premium, but in the app there is no such thing! I checked everywhere in the app and nothing can be done! I have no clue what to do?

It would be better without purchase:/. You know you would get a lot more downloads if people can do more on the app like putting the vhs 90’s filter on videos and photos from their camera role, because there are a young audience that can’t purchase apps like these. So to have a nice quality app with no purchase at all you would have a lot more downloads. It’s a really good app but it would be better if you can do more without purchase.

Disappointed.. Random commercials . And you need premium to import. I wanted the app because I had an add and it seemed like it had more downloads but no I guess it’s not about the downloads. You can make vhs tapes on prequel and there is a lot to chose from . All you have to do is crop out the watermark which isn’t placed on the video but, under the video which makes it easier to crop out. This app is just no whoever made this is money hungry sorry but it’s true. But the video did look fine I guess in the preview.

BUYERS BEWARE!!!. You will be charged $4.99 per week for this useless app! Even if you delete the app...charges will keep coming. Invoices will end up in your spam folder and unless you inspect your bank statements with a fine tooth comb...you will never know. Apple shouldn’t allow dishonest app developers to prey on their most loyal customers! There are plenty of apps that you can download that are better and more honest about the cost to you! If you’ve downloaded this app...check your bank statements. You will likely find a reoccurring WEEKLY charge of $4.99! Call Apple and file a complaint...then do your part to warn others.

Caution when using this app. The idea of this app is great and aesthetically I enjoyed its final projects. I don’t mind paying a one month fee to remove watermarks and unlock other features but there are two options weekly and monthly pay. And for some reason every time you make a new video it ask to “restore purchase”, I assumed it was recognizing I paid for the month. Not charging three weeks worth. 15$ later should have been $4.95 ... lame setup and small directions on what is being paid for/restored ... #cancelled

Great concept, deceptive money-making ploy. When I started using this app, I really loved it. As someone who isn’t typically a video taker, I found myself getting inspired to make a home video. I’m on vacation for several more days, and I was even planning on spending the five dollars for another week of premium, even though I’ve never spent a dollar on any other app. I was immediately turned off by the fact that you cannot turn off your subscription within the app. Many comments are from people desperately trying to do so. If you are one of these people, go to the App Store and select manage subscriptions on your account to end it. Don’t spend a dollar on this app. They want to take your money and have robbed many people blind by preying on their sentimentality. If not for this insidious scheme, I would have gladly rated this app 5 stars.

Best VHS app📹📼. Its a pretty good app you can edit your videos 📷 and you cant only record videos you can also trow pictures 📸 and for the free version the water mark 💦 isn’t that bad and if you don't want to get ads just turn off your wifi👍great app. But even do people had reported 🐛 bugs i haven’t seen one yet. happy holidays

Bug or on purpose?. The app is great and fun to mess around with but the recent update has made it impossible to cancel the thing that tells you that you’re using a preview version for pictures which is absolutely ridiculous if it’s on purpose. If this is a bug I hope it’s fixed soon because I can’t do any editing of photos just for fun because the thing blocks my photos or what I need to edit them with.

Great Potential. This app seems to have all of the features I was looking for, my home movies actually look like home movies. I think the app should start up a whole lot faster though. Skip the logos and open straight into the Camcorder. Please make this happen, it would make this app a must have! Also, when importing older videos, I get an, “Audio could not be extracted” error. Otherwise, great work. Fantastic app, for cheap.

Don’t have an alarm go off on your phone!. I love the look of this app, but there is an issue that ruined a memory for me. I was recording a birthday surprise with this to have a vintage look. As I was filming, an alarm went off on my phone with the usual notification dropdown. I swiped up to shut it off and the video was still recording fine (so I thought). When I went to rewatch the video the alarm caused the app to shut off the recording audio, which meant I have no audio from that point on. On a positive note this happened with the free trial! I won’t be paying for this app.

Good app but poor execution. I'll be honest this app has everything to make a retro music video, however, I wish you weren't forced to pay a monthly membership it just doesn't make sense as this app. I wish the the developers would remove the memberships option and make it a one-time purchase app. I would be perfectly happy paying $1.99 or even $9.99 for this app if I only had to pay for this once. Please I hope the developers see this you've made a good app but stop being overcharging your app I would rather get a Netflix subscription then buy this app because you get more for your dollar!

Needs improvement. Awesome except the screen keeps going dark because of auto lock as if there’s no app open😟. All other video apps remain open and screen light on to prevent your phone from auto lock when you’re using the app but this one seems to not recognise im filming so I have to then go into my settings and click the auto lock to never so I can film without the screen going dark.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!! This app is SPAM!!. I can’t believe Apple allowed this app in the store! From the instant it opens, you will be presented with endless bulls$!t ads. It opens in a full screen that will not allow you to exit the program. I had to hard reboot my iPhoneX to get out of this app! Install at your own risk. I suspect all positive reviews are fake. Finally, while you’re trying your hardest to kill this app, you’ll get a convenient offer to unlock it for a mere $4.99 a week!!! That’s 20 bucks a month folks. Not even OmniFocus has ripped me off for that much money. Pass on this one and save yourself a big headache.

Great app ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I think it was a really good I want to do a mini series for my friend says I’m moving and this was the perfect camera to use I really like it I sure as my friends and family and they all downloaded it it gives the special effects that you might need a long time to edit but for the most of it it was a great app and I really enjoyed it and I also think that the stickers they give you for messages are reverie vintage but at the same time cool

Can't pay for purchases (update). I've tried over and over again but the app will not let me pay. All I get is the spinning screwhead, it happened twice. All it keeps doing is spinning for 5 min then I exit the app idk how long it would take to work but I don't have the patience to wait 10 min for a 2 sec purchase.. please get back to me (Update) I finally got to pay for it only to wish I didn't cause the effects didn't work and neither did the landscaping, it's cool that I can make Instagram videos but I wanna make a cinematic vid as well.

I’m Disappointed. I was really excited for this app because my friends and I take loads of videos together, and this seemed like something we’d enjoy. It was not. You can’t go more than a minute without a pop up ad, which I wouldn’t mind if the ads were letting me do ANYTHING, but there are almost no features available without premium, which is like... $4.99/ week???? Wayyy too much. The app is also really shifty, like one page offers a 3 day free trial, but if you try to close it, there’s a pop up offering ‘the 7-day free trial’, as if they didn’t just offer 3 days. I honestly, bottom line don’t trust this app at all.

Great app BUT pls fix?. Well I hoped that the camera would stay on recording- but probably because it’s an app, if I were recording something i’d have to keep checking my screen that my phone didn’t turn off, cause when it does my videos results in having different cuts of what I wanted to record Some minor crashes, but overall it’s really great for catchin that aesthetic vibe :)

Apps great, but I it took away my upgrade... So I have had this app for a long time, and it is really a great, cool app and I have seen it improve with more filters and different things you can do with pictures/videos. The only problem is I just got a new phone and it took away the upgrade I paid for so it won’t let me do anything now. I don’t know if I should pay again or not, long story short great app but if you are getting a new phone be careful!!

Yikes but not. This app has probably everything you’d need when making an aesthetically pleasing film. In my opinion, I don’t think it’s worth $5.99/month. It’s got good features and has exactly what I want, but I’m a little upset that I have to pay $5.99/month just to save a video. I think that should be included in the free version, and the other features should be included in the subscription that way it’s easier for people. If someone really wants to edit their videos with everything, they’ll be happy to pay! If not, then they can just save their video and be done. Maybe instead of a membership, just have an initial payment.

App doesn’t work & devs offer no support (even if you’re a paid subscriber!). Downloaded the app in 2017, paid for the Pro version, and it worked great for about a year. I’ve been trying to use the app for a project, but I can’t record video, as the ‘viewfinder’ is completely covered by a glitch, making it impossible to see what you’re shooting. I was so determined to get it to work, I was willing to shoot blindly and adjust as necessary, but that wasn’t an option either, as the app crashes when you try to save what you’ve recorded. I reached out for support, and still haven’t heard back. Even though I had already paid for the app several years ago, I signed up for their new subscription model to see if that might help (“surely they’ll respond to a paying customer!”) but no luck yet. I’m thinking they’re not actively updating the app or providing support of any kind, which is a huge bummer because 1) it’s probably the best VHS/camcorder app I’ve come across and 2) they can get away with charging folks a subscription for a product that DOESN’T WORK! You guys did an excellent job with the creativity and design behind this app, but that just makes your lack of customer care and support and your audacity to charge a weekly/monthly/yearly subscription all the more and disappointing.

this app is so bad now. it's always been a very very poorly made app. but i've been using this app for over a year and never had to pay and loved the end result, id be fine waiting the long amount of time to save the video. then i redownloaded it recently and there's a WEEKLY PAYMENT OF 5$?? that's insane. if you don't purchase it, there is literally nothing u can do on the app. u can't save videos and u have like 3 possible adjustments u can make on the video because the others are covered by a screen that is telling u to buy the upgrade. and almost every time i opened the app i was met by an ad that took over the entire screen with no X to exit out and it never went away unless i exited the app. so so so disappointed i can't use this app anymore because i used to use it for so many videos

crashes constantly 😬. I tried this app, and well let’s just say I ended up deleting it that same day. I clicked on import video, chose my video, clicked done, and it said I should get premium? I was about to click the ❌ until it crashed! I tried over and over and it did the same exact thing. This app was a waste of my time. :(

Your Preference. The filters on this app are perfect and the date it set as well. However, I’d like to say that the watermark will not make people buy your subscription. It won’t. It’ll just make people uninstall the app and find a new one; like I did. If you want to make money, put in ads at a mild pace. I also heard that people have problems saving their video which is an absolute no. I recommend trying this app on your own, as you may have a different experience than me.

Please fix. So I was making a sm64 beta whomp fortress thing when I deleted the first video A.k.a. the thing I tried to do before video I made when I deleted the one day I was not happy with A.k.a as the first one deleted both video The first one in the final version and I just wondered to myself did I wasted my time? I would still recommend this app

Please do not subscribe. So I downloaded this app and used it once and in order to save my video I had to subscribe. So I did this. But then it looked terrible and the app didn’t even have that many features. So I deleted it. For some reason I thought that me deleting it would have unsubscribed myself. That was dumb on my part. Then all of the sudden I kept getting bills on iTunes and it didn’t say what it was so I assumed it was a different app. So now, about 9 months later (never even touched this app again) I finally figured out that it was this app! THEY CHARGED ME $5 A WEEK. First of all this app is no where near worth that much. But if you want to be over charged for a terrible app then have at it

One problem.. Everything seems fine. Effects are great, app runs perfect. Only problem for me is when I try to save my edit, it keeps saying "Failed to extract audio. Try again." Not sure what's going on with that, I've tried multiple times for the past hour and I don't want to have to try to find another VHS Effect app because this one is absolutely perfect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled continuously. Please help. :(

Videos look old (great) but sometimes feels like software is old too. Hasn’t been an update in 2mo but there at is definitely upgrades to be made. I have the paid version and oftentimes I’ll record video I want to keep but I can’t save it because it’ll just say ‘failed to save’ and the app will freeze with the footage lost. The features and use case are all great, granted steady improvements keep coming.

I love this app, but. . .. I started using it for almost a week ago, and I like it. But I did went premium because I wanted to import and edit videos to get the look and every time I am going to save it, it crops the image, and I have it in landscape. I exit the app and all, thinking maybe it was just a one time thing, but no, it crops my video and I hate it. I am kind of mad about this. Please fix this, PLEASE, this is the only reason why I went premium!

Saving to camera roll problems. Ok so I subscribe and after I was checking it out and everything and I make a video and I was like okay so far so good when I was a done I save to camera and I thought well this is taking long and thank it say exporting video but than a save bottom on the left corner and I press it it say it’s being save to camera Im like okay good and than I go check out nun of the filter are there and the is no sound so I’m not sure if it’s a problem or it’s that I’m not doing right !!

Cost is bad. So I liked this app but the only problem why would you make premium when some people don’t have money please make it free I would give it 5 stars and I am sure it will grower even better with out premium or you do it but please let us use the caset player and I am sure everyone will appreciate it and it will grow cause that is special affect You should do other affects on premium but I want the caset player to be free when trying to import my edit

To me it fine. I didn’t get this app to edit videos, I want to have a real vhs again. So I took videos and saved them. It did what it said it would do. With a proper vhs u don’t get to edit photos broooo like that defeats the whole purpose. So I was normal and used it normally (unlike people that are complaining) and took grate videos and pictures and saved them to my album on apple. I really really recommend this if you are reading this lol. But just be aware that if you want to edit your pics like these other people than u would have to get premium/pay money 💵 but if you want it to be like a REAL vhs than YESSS GET ITT it woks perfectly fine with me. Sorry if you think differently, but I am a very opinionated person and strongly believe that it is a good app. Thank for reading ☺️

Such a waste of time...🙄. So I tried out this app to see what features it has! I downloaded it and at first it seemed great and a useful app that I could use! So I picked out my video that I wanted to edit and I could pick one which I thought that was kind of dumb and stupid🙄, But I still wanted to give the app a shot so I kept on going. After I picked my video it said “Get premium to save your video!” And I was like okay...that’s really dumb like just to save a 15 second video?! Like really? I moved on and said ok. Then, a bunch of buttons just popped up and it was NOT well organized AT ALL! So I just did not click anything. A few weeks later I decided to give it another shot and in the middle trying to figure out what to do it keeps on asking me. “Get Premium to save your video.” Over “Get Premium to save your video” And over “Get Premium to save your video” And over again! It got so annoying that I deleted the app!!! So DO NOT and I say DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP

Good but can’t import anymore. The App was good at first. However, once I signed up to be able to import videos (you’re charged) it kept failing to import asking me to try again. I like this app to record a vintage video but I’m going to have download a different app to import videos I already have that I want to look like this. Not worth the money paying for 2 apps that does the same thing. Im going to have to delete this one and cancel my acct.

Beyond Garbage.. There’s a “glitch” slider, I’m not sure if that’s for the video effect, or the app. It crashed back to the desktop trying to import the first video (always a good sign). Once it succeeded importing, then it wanted to start a 3-day premium trial before being able to save anything. That would br followed by $4.99 a WEEK if you don’t cancel. A WEEK?! I used to be able to permanently buy software for $50, I’m not spending $20 a month on any app, I don’t care what it is. Once I finally got the free trial started, it imported the video again only to crash again. At this point, I just wanted the effect for the one thing I’m doing for a project, and then I was going to delete the app. Once I finally got it to import, apply the effect, and export, I go to play the video it made, and the app couldn’t even get that halfway right. The audio is ok, the video is at double speed or something, going way ahead of the audio. $4.99 a month…yeah, sign me up 🙄 Bye-bye, off to find another app. What a waste of time.

Won't export with effects.. The app takes a while to compress 4 minutes of video, and started consistently crashing upon trying to export into camera roll or Instagram. I would appreciate my money back for the premium. Would be 5 star if the export worked.

Montage & Cancelling Subscription Problems. Montage setting simply just doesn’t work and thinking it WOULD when I bought the subscription, it didn’t. The app crashes whenever you try to add music to the videos and the worst part is it doesn’t save ANYTHING you already created. I don’t know how to cancel the subscription and it’s going to keep using my iTunes card that’s on here to pay for it. I don’t want to have to be paying for something that doesn’t perform properly that I thought would after I spent money.

Great App! Would love side button function. This app is great and definitely worth purchasing for full functionality. However, it is a bit difficult to use without the side buttons for capture. I think that one feature would make this flawless. Great job on the app!

Don’t download unless you want to pay lots of $$$. So I initially downloaded this app because I saw a friend upload a video on instagram using it. I loved it and was like yes I need this!! I downloaded it thinking it was free.... nope. first thing to pop up is the ad for 3day free trial for premium.... no thanks. then another ad pops up for 7 day free trial... again, no thanks. it allowed me to upload a video but not to even view it without a big box in front of it saying **PREMIUM FEATURE TO SAVE VIDEO BUY PREMIUM**. I was annoyed but still thought ok it can’t be that bad let’s see how much it is for premium, screw it.... NOPE. $4.99/week?! Uh how about no! Not worth it. I found a free app that does the EXACT SAME THING except it’s free unless I want to purchase filters. this is why you should always read reviews first 🙃

Great but premium is crashing. I loved the app one I instantly downloaded it, however I decided to pay for premium so I can make a montage and be able to add music to the video. Everytime I try to add the song to the video the app keeps crashing and deletes everything. Also it keeps cropping my videos I want to import which is very annoying. Please fix these bugs !

ABSOLUTE TRASH 🖕🏼😡. So I downloaded this app, thinking that it would be cool since I can edit my photos and videos on there, but oh was I wrong. Unlike any other app that is similar, there are little to no ads. But usually when one pops up, it freezes my screen for a couple minutes, then it crashes and I have to start over again! Not cool! Not only that, but you have to pay for EVERYTHING. The price is very cheap for it, yes, but I’m not spending my money on an app that I can’t use because the limited version barely has anything! So at least let some premium/plus features be on the limited version. Otherwise the app is great.

Used to be awesome but…. I guess the devs got money hungry because now I have to pay for everything. Before the watermark on the video was subtle and blended in with the aesthetic, but now it’s sticks out like a sore thumb. Another thing in that 2/3 times that I’d tap on the camcorder, it would give me a 30 second ad that would bring me to the App Store if I touched any part of the screen. Used to be great, but now it’s not really worth it. I don’t have a problem with watermarks, just make it like the older version. Anyway, I hope the devs will read this and possibly change some bits about the app, but for now that’s all I have to say.

Subscription... No Thanks. Just not a fan of the subscription situation with this app. Functionality wise... it’s okay. Often times, the buttons aren’t fully responsive when you touch them, and this makes for a somewhat frustrating experience. However, when I realized they are trying to charge you $4.99 per week to use the premium version of this app.... They completely lost me. ATTN DEVELOPERS: Just charge a flat rate of $15 - $20 bucks instead and call it a day. Until then... This app is uselessness I’ve deleted it.

Don't buy upgrade , the export doesn't work. This app charged me twice per week, For one subscription - and when I cancelled continued to do so . and when you try export videos with audio it doesn't sync sound . WASTE OF MONEY

FAKE NEWS. Says you can go premium for only $2.99! Limited time only! When you hit the “go premium” it tries to charge you $4.49

It’s not very often it takes 3 tries to use an app. ... the LEVEL of ads is too extreme! First open. An ad appeared before I could authorise for photos mic and camera!! Then I couldn’t close the ad.... or use the app. Had to quit and close to try again. Second open. Ads kept coming up every time I tried to import. Couldn’t use it. Eventually. An ad popped up that wouldn’t go away without buying the app! Quit and restarted. Again! Third open. Finally pressed camcorder button. No ads. Just tried it. Then was pushed for a weekly subscription..! Quit. Deleted.

Best vhs app but incorrect audio. Tried all the vhs apps and this seems like the best but whenever I use a particular video it saves it and mucks around the audio so it’s out of time. Makes the whole video look ridiculous if people are singing along in video. Please fix this!!!

App constantly crashes. App can’t generate video content from still Pictures using effects and if it could I couldn’t see a way to preview such a effects before having to make a purchase. Trying to explore the app features constantly makes the app itself crash. No way would I spend money on a subpar user experience.

Failed to extract audio. I paid the $4.99 to get premium so I can save the imported videos, but everytime I try to save it, it says “Failed to extract audio. Try again!”

Call me Kardashian. For those drooling over kardashian style home videos this is made for you... I t’s fab except has a few small glitches. I’m still yet to be make my Kylie-like pregnancy montage (minus baby, plus pizza) with some deep music but it just keeps crashing. With some adjustments has a great future in the App Store.

Overall a good app but needs an update. I've always enjoyed using this app to record my memories. However one thing I've noticed is that after importing a video I may have prerecorded on the normal camera app, I can't export it because the audio file could not be extracted.

subscription?. Why does it say 4.99/week? Subscription based instead of just unlocking everything when I buy it?

New update worse.. New update is horrible. Takes ages to load the rad pony part then you tap which one you want (camcorder etc) and then you have to get settings right. I preferred the old layout & an update could have made settings stay the same. The inability to turn off the glitch function & RGB is also annoying. Bummed I paid for this app.

An actual glitch in the app. Made some really cool videos from this app and love the filters but as other reviews have stated, it constantly crashes in app and my phone also.. they really need to fix this, other then that it's awesome.

Review. Amazing app in comparison to other vhs apps

Almost unusable. Half of the functions in the main menu crash the app, and when exporting a video it lags the audio so it doesn’t match up with the video.

For the retro aesthetic lover. Just started using it, I really hate having to wait for Snapchat to come out with a retro filter that only lasts a week. This is super nifty, really enjoy using it.

Good but needs fixing. This is an awesome app! It needs fixing though, If I upload a video from camera roll it cannot extract audio and there's a few bugs that need to be ironed out. If those bugs are fixed this would be a 7 star app!

Glitching. This would be such a great app if it didn’t glitch all of the time. It fails to edit specific videos from my camera roll and if myself and others need to pay for this app i feel like that should be fixed.

Billing me $14 when I didn’t even have the app. I agreed to a one week free trial. I had it for a few days, wasn’t that impressed, then deleted it. It continued to bill me for a PAID version which I never requested for two weeks at $6.99 each. NOT impressed.

what the hell. i spent $4 on this to save it and for the other effects and such . i had a video made and i wanted to add the effect . it wouldn’t save , then once it did . no effects where on it and it removed all audio . honestly not worth getting , extremely disappointed and angry .

doesn’t save properly. when i edit the video and try to save it to my camera roll it doesn’t work at all. none of the edits are saved and the app had also taken away the sound on the video. regret paying for it

3 Day Free Subscribe. Hi I recently subscribed to a three day trial. I want to unsubscribe but I don’t know how?

Payment. I did the trial and they did not email me when it was due. So for months I thought it automatically cancelled my payments after the trial. I did not get any email or some sort that I was still “subscribed”. They usually warn you when the trial is due and that you’ll have to start paying. So yeah they’ve been getting money out my account for months.

Tried to cancel a subscription to a free trial and ended up getting charged $30 a week for an app not even downloaded on my phone... now they won’t respond to my attempts to contact them. Use to be good. RAD VHS had some amazing features like different filters and using own music for the background. Now it barely works. App crashes when trying to import music/song. And now I’m hearing it’s a paid subscription model? I’m pretty sure you could out right purchase the app with an one-time fee. With the last update released back in 2019, it seems the developer(s) have abandoned this app. Don’t bother and get the other VHS app

Cool app. Too much money. $5usd a month? Why can’t I just buy it for $10 or $20 ? It’s just a static skin over an image. I can just import my own video into my video app and apply the plugin.

Awful payment plan!. The app is really nice but I don’t want to pay $18-$20/month for this! $6/week is excessive! Please figure out an alternative payment method for either an annual fee or a 6 month plan. Weekly is outrageous. I had very high hopes for this app but the payment plan had me delete it.

TRASH. This is not free. You’re required to upgrade/subscribe at a $6.50/weekly cost. And even at that, you’re still not able to save your video until you make a payment a week later. Don’t waste your time.

It won’t let me upload any video or pictures. I’m not sure what’s going on but the app won’t let me upload ANY of my photos or video. It just shows a black screen. Needs improvement. The glitch and filters aren’t as good as some of the other apps in the market. The vhs effect with the glitches needs to be improved on and the filters could be better

Great app!. This is a fantastic app. Super fun and easy to use. The videos look amazing! Only have one problem. When I import videos, and the they’re exported and saved to my gallery, the audio is not synched to the video. Could you fix that? Otherwise the app works perfectly. Very recommended!

This app skimps you out !. So I get the app, N yea it worked pretty good uknow the affect was coo. Until I bought the $2.99 ‘premium’ bs , everything started glitching, the app would crash, it failed saving, N the worst thing was when it finally said it saved to my camera roll, it came out super blurry, square, N no affect at all! It was literally the original video I was trying to edit but cropped to square !?!??!? Idk, but I’m deleting this app N got skimped out for 3 bucks haha

The Update :(. I loved the way the app was before... It was perfect! I would pay for the old version of RADVHS tbh. I understand that they’re just trying to make money, but there are just so many things I don’t like about the app anymore. The new watermark is annoying, and I know you can just pay to remove it, but I liked the old watermark. I also do not like the new controls. The old ones were much more easier to use and just looked a lot better in my opinion. The ads don’t really bother me.

Used to be good. I downloaded this app my freshmen year of high school years ago and it didn’t have ads and wasn’t buggy at all. I didn’t even have the premium version. I downloaded it again cause it randomly popped up in my mind and now it’s buggy and ads don’t load most of the time and it’s just stuck with something stupid like grammarly. And the video glitch that you tap on the screen with is stuck when I open the app and all I see it the video glitch and not the actual camera

KEEPS CRASHING. I paid for the year subscription and I’m disappointed. I was happy at first but when the recent update took place, I had a lot of problems. I can’t even use it anymore. When I try to pic a photo out my library it doesn’t show and everything goes black. And when I do get it working and edit a video, it won’t save to my phone anymore. Seems like I wasted $20 dollars for nothing. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app like 10 times and it doesn’t work

Amazing filters, but camera button is hard to reach. To take a picture with the filter you have to press the button on the left side, and with an iphone the selfie camera is on the left, so it’s very difficult to take a picture. Would prefer to be on the right side. Overall the filters are super cute and I enjoy using them.

Good app, nice features. Portrait and landscape, import, picture and video, multiple filters etc. obviously it won’t look 100% like an old vhs but it’s a great app with one time payments instead of subscription. I’ve been using this app for years.

Weekly Subscription? Might wanna say that before u just take money without consent. It said nothing about money, I feel scammed by this “weekly subscription” I barely used it a week and you guys continued to charge me for about two months which I am just finding out about! What a JOKE!. Subscription at $4.99 a week?? This is the biggest joke I ever saw. It’s apps like this that destroyed the App Store and the entire app experience. Plz fix the bugs!. I really like to edit and montage videos with this app but it crashes too often, I spend so much time on something and it can’t join videos at the end or just straight up crashes and closes the app, even during importing videos which is less complicated. Please get it fixed.

It’s cute but I want my $2.99 back.. Bought and used this app. BEWARE no costumer support anywhere to be found and videos are LOW LOW quality. No information on source format. When Viewed playback footage on at 720p its was unwatchable. VHS camcorders from the 80’s and 90’s you at least watch on any tv. Now I have reshoot. This is toy for Instagram that’s all. It’s stupid 😐. So I buy pro and it was going good with recording. Then I tried importing a video which sucked. That’s the whole reason I got pro, so I can edit horror videos that I make. I legit imported a 1 minute video, sat there for 4 minutes to make it so I can save it, then “cannot save, please try again” so I am super bummed out about that. But like I said recording is alright

Cool but a few bugs. This app is really cool and makes this style of video a lot easier to remake, but whenever you save a video then go back to the home page to make another one, it crashes. I don’t mind it that much because this app is wicked cool though.

The sound!!! Oh my gosh, such a letdown. I thought I found my new favorite video app, but when I saved the videos and played them back, the sound doesn't synchronize with the video. PLEEEAAAAASE fix this and I will gladly give you 5 stars because otherwise this app is amazing. It's just such a bummer that the sound gets messed up during the exporting stage, it completely takes away from how cool this app is. PLEASE FIX THIS, it can't be too hard!

Purchased effects and now I have to pay again?. I really liked this app but now I am really disappointed. I already purchased the in-app upgrades 2 months ago so that I could upload videos and now suddenly everything is a premium feature? If I already paid why do I have to pay again just because you added more filters? You should at least make the ones people have previously paid for available to them.

From what I see. I can’t save my pictures and also I see that others can’t really use I suggest updating this app fixing bugs. Also some people have complained about them not being able to use the paid stuff and have been paying since 2017 that’s kinda upsetting to hear so I hope this app gets fixed. Because it’s the only one I have come across so far with at least some good reviews.

Help. Hello, I downloaded this app to help me make me edits. But when I was trying to save it, it told me I had to pay for premium to save it, which I find dumb. I don't have enough money anymore to pay for premium. Trust me, I wish I did. Could u guys maybe just let me and other people save videos without paying for premium. It would be a lot easier. I love this app.. however. I love this app, however whenever I upload a video to add the vhs filter, when I save to my camera roll, the speaking is off and doesn’t match the original timing. Would love for this to change because I love adding this filter on my videos!

Import Issue. It says “failed to extract audio” every time I import a video which basically means the app is useless to me now. With that being said, I found this to be the easiest and best looking VHS style type of app. If you’re taking videos straight from the app you should be solid (with premium), although the files turn out quite small. But it’s kinda silly to have an import option when it doesn’t work correctly.

Won't save videos and still has ads after purchasing. I bought this program with high hopes (1) being able to record few seconds video with a VHS filter. But unfortunately for me it won't allow me to save the videos Ever! And I went a step further and purchased so the ads would disappear. Biggest mistake in my life! Please fix this or give me my money back!

Why do people hate it so much?. It might be confusing, but you get it eventually. And I know it’s bad they say “Get premium to save to your camera roll”, but you can screen record it and crop it on an app called video star. Otherwise, I give it 9/10!

Best video camera app ever 🥰🥰🥰🥰. Okay, honestly the truth is that I actually do like this app and it works with all kinds of music and instrumental; I just finished a solo video for my new album and it looked amazing, you can also download your own video to the app.

VHS Camcorder. I enjoy 😉 this app is because that you can change the years, dates, days and months. Also, if most people were in an elective for example, filming and video productions when they a doing a project, they can use this app a unique resourceful tool.

Why can’t we import videos for free-. I have been really really wanting the app ariana grande uses to edit her vhs vids... and I’ve came here a long way just to find out that this app is a huge scam... it’s really not fair.. so I’d like you to change your app pls... maybe for the settings you could add some free options and make some premium? Needs lots of updates. Good app when it actually works which is about 60% of the time. Always gives me trouble saving videos to my phone. Takes me about 20 tries before the file actually saves without the continuous “failed audio” message. Lost so much good memories trying to capture things through this app and it not letting me save/crashing. Disappointed.

I think this is kind of ridiculous. I got this to make a decent video and I just can’t pay three bucks just to waste my money. Everything is great nothing bad, just I think it’s ridiculous you have to pay three bucks just to save it to your photos. What’s the point if the person can’t pay? They just wasted their time. But it’s a great app, but if you’re planning to save your video either pay or find something else.

Garbage. Downloaded the “free” version. App is littered with ads, there’s a HUGE splash image right in the middle telling you to upgrade to premium, or try it out for free for 3 days. No option to try without upgrading. And if you do upgrade, it’s a subscription based service. $5 a week, no “one time buy” option. Overall, a complete trash app. Don’t waste your time. I’m sure there are better apps out there where you don’t have to pay $20 a month ($240 a year) to use.

❤️This is a Lit app. This is one of the only apps I’m actually amazed about when I open it and use it, the only thing is when I start to record, the video lags when I talk and move the camera 📷 but the good thing is that the overall video comes out normal.

Best vhs filters I have ever seen!!. Made a home movie for my moms birthday and she absolutely loved it!! She actually thought we used an old video recorder to record everything 😂 😂 😆. Super realistic would recommend to anyone who’s looking for that vintage vibe in their videos!!

So expensive. 5 dollars a week? You crazy. What about a flat rate instead of a subscription service? I get people gotta eat, but really? 20 bucks a month for an app I might use a couple times? Netflix doesn’t cost that much a month! Anyways, the features are cool and at least there are some things you can do on it for free so that’s a plus.

HELP!!! Restore my premium or give me back my $2.99. This is a great app. It’s one of the first times I’ve bought an app, because I thought it was so good. Now it’s acting like I never bought the premium all of a sudden. Give me my $2.99 back please or give me back my premium. When I click “restore purchases” it just sits there and does nothing. Terrible ux and can’t save video. This app has horrible ux. I had to press each button 3-5 times before even being able to select options. It has a specific click zone. Also you can’t save the video without upgrading to pro. What’s the point of offering it for free when you can’t save a video in a video app? You can watermark videos if you’re that money hungry or make it a pro app. Just a waste of time.

Some changes need to be made. I wish that when you import landscape videos you didn’t have you crop it into a square. i would really like it if you could change it, and some of the videos i import start lagging and not going with the sound, but other than that the app is good.

You’re better off just buying a real VHS recorder. Or just going with a differ app. This app claims if you pay you’ll be able to play downloaded music as you record. However it’s the complete opposite. The app is unable to determine if the song (which is downloaded) is acceptable or not. Then if you try to make your own video with saved videos the app crashes. It’s 2018 and I paid for extra features. Don’t download this app.

This is an “ehhh” app. Does a good job at “recording” videos to make them look old style, however if you try to import a video you had before hand to make it like a vhs tape then it will bug out and not work. Every time it saved to my camera roll it would just be exactly like the original. Not looking so good especially since to import you have to go premium.

Almost good.... I love all the features this app SAYS it can do, but based on as far as how many of the features that actually work I can't say this app is great. In addition, I accepted the 7 day free trial under the impression I could cancel in the settings tab (as the app told me), but I have not been able to figure out how to do this. Please help, I do not want to pay for an app that at the moment barely works.

Read!!. The app is definitely useful and all that but if you want to upgrade to the full it gives the option of a 3 day trial... then $4.99 a week. But go under subscriptions and you can pay a dollar more for one month. Save some money.

How come it’s a Leica camera but maybe you guys should change it up a little bit. How come you guys need to change your camera because you guys need to change your app maybe. it can be I don’t need an app because you guys say like it’s editing but it’s actually not editing so maybe you guys should put some eggs in there for us that I do because we can’t edit our videos how we want it to be and obviously we can’t save it.

Love this app. I absolutely love this app and it’d be perfect if it could let you record while music is playing in addition to the feature of being able to manually add music from your library 🙏🏽

Not great for $3. I thought for $3 it would have a lot more features. There are “effects” which are basically filters, you can adjust the RBG effect, the contrast, and the amount of glitching. The glitching doesn’t look as authentic as the free VHS app in my opinion. If they want us to buy this for $3 they should have different glitch effects at least. So I’ll probably go back to the free VHS app since I like their look better, until this app gets improved.

If it just had this ONE more feature.... Please, please update this app with the ability to upload and edit a video in its standard, original size. Cropping to a square isn't ideal for those who post content on multiple platforms. I love this app but it would be so, so much more versatile with a more powerful uploader!!!

Frustrating. I paid for the full version, but that was only to get rid of the watermark, really. It still constantly crashes, it’s glitchy, and sometimes the videos don’t save, which means I lose footage I can’t get back. Also, the clock on the screen doesn’t automatically change with time, so every time I film a new clip I have to go back to the menu and reset my settings so the time will be correct. SO frustrating to work with.

didn’t work for me 👀. I got premium and uploaded a video from my camera roll to the app, edited it to my liking and then tried to save it to my camera roll. when it saved, i went to check my camera roll and it was the exact same video as before not edited with the VHS effects at all😭 like what the hell i spent so much time waiting for the video to compress and all that and it saved with no effects saved. i tried MULTIPLE times too and it still saves with no effects im so disappointed😔

Buggy and Crash Prone. I downloaded this app to make 90’s style video clips with music for my instagram. The video effects are cool, so I subscribed to the “full” version in order to add music, but every single time I try to open the montage feature, the entire app crashes and restarts. If you plan to use this app, don’t get fooled into spending $5 for the special full version when you’ll only get the free version as the working one.

Fun app. This is a super fun and easy app to use. My only complaint, which will not cause me to stop using it, is that it crashes fairly often. Keep working those bugs out team!
