Thanks for this great app. I tried other apps but they all required disabling Safari and using their homegrown browser. The problem is they don't have the support that Safari does so they always crapped out with every update. So far, I've encountered one update with no problem. As a CS major this makes me very happy. Thanks for the quality work.

Works!. I set my own password- I know the normal process is to have a confidential friend make and set it for you but I found just having the app on and working is freeing me from burden of repeated yields to temptation and enough to fuel my motivations to walk away from the problems in question. I will continue to use and pay the fee too. Worth it.

Excellent app!. This app is an answer to prayer. I come from a marriage destroyed by pornography which led to more extreme behaviors. Raising a son, I've been super concerned about protecting him. Why are we putting mini computers in the hands of children where they can access stuff that can destroy their lives?? I asked God to lead me to something like this! All of the other filters I have seen replace safari with another browser that does not work well. This app filters safari instead. Jonathan is great about answering questions and helping and he is so quick to reply. I couldn't be happier to have found this. I recommended it to kids in the youth group at my church last night where I am a leader. Thanking God I found this app!

Great job!. This app works great to block the bad stuff. I’ve found even with other filters things like Google images is still a problem. Not anymore because with this it doesn’t let anything through that shouldn’t be coming in. Great job!

I've been using it a few days now. This app is $30 well spent. I am currently healing from a penis injury that causes painful erections. Compulsive porn use exacerbates this issue. For those wondering about suitable PC or MAC software, give K9 web protection a shot. It's completely free and it uses the same Blue Coat site rating database that various corporations use for managing company internet access. In fact, this software was created by Blue Coat and now distributed by Symantec. This app and IOS's own adult site blocker are an excellent team. Though there's plenty of overlap, there's sites that one or the other won't catch. Also with this app, adding sites to be allowed or blocked is a breeze. You simply email the author and he will do it for you. That's better than going into restrictions (pre IOS 12) or Screen Time (IOS 12). To do that requires knowing the restrictions/screen time passcode and as any porn addict knows that's bad news.

good at blocking porn, also blocks many other things. This content blocker app is good at what its name says it does: blocking porn. Unfortunately, it has a tendency to block many other things that aren't porn. This is rather frustrating and (assuming you haven't restricted enabling/disabling the app) results in the fairly frequent need to disable the blocker to view articles/sites that have nothing to do with porn. I wish the blocker were smarter and provided a way to whitelist specific sites or domains. • Overzealous in blocking porn. It seems to filter out sites using a word search, with many of those words having fairly common usage in non-porn contexts. Other words that are nearly only used in the context of porn AREN'T blocked — maybe they're too niche for the app writer to be aware of? Would be good if there were a way to suggest words. • Constantly blocks pages on Wikipedia and technical articles. As someone who browses Wikipedia a lot, this is really annoying. I'd love it if I could whitelist the domain. • Blocks some sites that couldn't conceivably be considered porn. Articles, how-to guides, medical/health information, ... maps...

Best I've found. This is the best filter I've found for the iPhone, which still allows me to be on Safari. As others have noted, it does also block innocent searches and there's no way around it... Which is frustrating... But it's worth it for purity. Also, I just tried to download this for my son's iPod and apparently it won't work on iPods, which stink.

Great App. Though it has some flaws, such as allowing some pornographic content to get through, it is overall a very good and simple app to help provide a barrier. As far as the flaws go, I will note that when I had sent feedback to the admin their response was quick, which was great and much appreciated.

great. Yes it makes it so you won't be able to see some pages and things that don't contain pornography, but it also blocks any pornography on it making it very safe to surf the web wheather you are trying to break a habit or just avoid pornography. Yeah you do give up a little bit of your freedom with some things and websites that are completely harmless, but it also keeps anything close to porn away. I use to have a bad habit of watching porn and it ruined my life and the way I saw women for a while, I'm trying to avoid falling back into that bad habit and this is a great app for it, I nolonger need to worry about running into it while im on my phone again.

After a bit of set up works just the way we need it to. I have been waiting for something like this. All the other “safe” browsers are out of date or useless. Yes, it has its quirks. But filtering will ALWAYS have its issues. This app is perfect, and the best that you can find out there for this category. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Best By Far!. I'm very impressed with this app and customer service. If anyone wants to look at porn it's not hard these days. This app really helps! As you search for something you shouldn't, it automatically says safari can't open this page. It really helps to fight the battles, thanks for the great app!!

Best product out there. My purpose in getting this app was to eliminate the temptation to visit sites that could potentially destroy my marriage. I love my wife too much to take any chances. This app it does the job. As a matter fact just today I noticed when I clicked on something it took me to a porn site that was not blocked. I emailed the developer and he quickly add at the site and emailed me back when it was complete. Best purchase I’ve made other than the engagement diamond.

Seamless design. Works fantastic.. This is a great app! Very simple but effective. It has its flaws here and there about not blocking some and blocking others but the customer support is very impressive and they get back to you immediately! You can even request sites that aren't being blocked to be blocked! It may not be perfect in every way but BY FAR THE BEST PORN FILTER ON THE APP STORE.

Misleading description. 1. If you buy this app Apple will not do a refund. 2. Passcode protection is garbage. In order to activate it developer sends you to the Screen Time menu in Settings and suggests to disable the installation and deletion of other apps which is nonsense and set a password to undo this change. 3. It blocks way to many websites. Yes, I want pornography to be blocked but half of websites I’m trying to go are blocked and have nothing to do with porn. I think that description is misleading and implementation is clumsy.

Works very well!. Been using for several years. Only occasionally will you not be able to view a site that you think you should be able to. No filtering software is 100% flawless, HOWEVER - and this is very important - if you find access to some adult material that should be blocked, you can contact the makers through the app, give them the URL and they will check it out and add it to the “blocked site” list. That’s terrific!

App helped me so much!. This app is amazing! I’ve struggled with porn and lust my whole life. You will never beat lust in a battle, you only defeat lust by running away. This app helps keep you away from finding those bad sites when the desire kicks in. Although this app is good and helps a lot, remember to join an accountability group to help you address other issues as they relate to lust. Lust destroyed the strongest man in the world (Samson) and also destroyed the wisest man in the world (Solomon). If they can’t beat it, then neither can you. Joseph overcame lust by fleeing. This app will help you flee, but don’t forget to join an accountability group as well.

Excellent!. I have really enjoyed this app since I got it several months ago. Although there is a way around it if an individual wanted to look at porn, they could, but it’s time consuming if you are continuously doing. The only thing that I wish would be done with this app would be for it to be compatible on a Mac. Other than that, it’s my only complaint. Great job on creating something beneficial for us who have struggled for however long.

Great App. This filter has worked great! When I found an area where I have problems that wasn't blocked, within 2 days the developer had reviewed, added, and emailed instructions to update. That was great, but then I received a follow up email to make sure I was good. Yes, there have been a few places that blocked, and I didn't understand why, but in most, I didn't need to be there anyway! THANKS, AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Fantastic Support. Note: Because I am working with an iOS beta, it would be unfair to dock stars for an issue. If I were to omit that detail, this app would rate 4 stars. I have been having issues getting the app to work as designed, and the support has been fantastic. Due to using the iOS beta, I have not been able to access the app's configuration, however with the app selected in Safari's settings, it works as advertised. They typically answer emails the same day (allowing for time zone differences) and I am confident it will be fixed. As others have discussed, at least by default, the filtering is very aggressive.

Best Purity App Period. This blocker is absolutely amazing, and is very effective. It’s so struck that I can’t even search the word “hot”, and I love that haha! When I’ve been tempted at times and even tried to beat the blocker I’m not able to, and I’m thankful for the fact that it’s strong even when I’m weak. Thankful for this app. I used to x3watch and x3watch premium. I loved those apps at first because they helped and provided accountability. However, the browsers tended to have issues and there were some features safari had that they didn't. Finally, they stopped working and I needed a backup. Porn blocker allows me to use safari and access all of its features while blocking dangerous websites. The owner is responsive and very helpful. He will update websites and answer questions. I haven't found anything better and don't think I will any time soon.

Great App to keep your kids safe. With an internet being a virtual minefield of pornography, I being aware of the damaging effect it can have on the individual and his future marriage, I was fearful to allow my children to have smartphones. Certainly, an app does not replace responsible parenting and faithful monitoring, but it is a valuable tool to protect them for accidentally being exposed to images that might be seared in their memories for life.

It’s a blocker. Overall, app and system is good. I do believer for $30 it could better so I hope for more updates. One of the biggest issues I have is the full on block of google images. Instead of using keywords it just completely blocks google images all together. My second complaint like most other comments is the “passcode protection”. Their isn’t one within the app which is a bit of a head scratcher considering it’s $30. If a refund were possible I would probably ask for one.

Filters it all...to a fault. I LOVE this app! It helped me overcome some personal struggles by blocking negative and triggering content. I’ve victoriously been content free for over 2 years, but now can’t remove or turn off the blocker because I’ve lost the password. Wouldn’t be a big deal, except you can’t even view innocent google images of cute puppies or beautiful cakes. That’s extremely frustrating!

Thankful for this App. I really appreciate this app. I just installed it and it has already assisted me in overcoming my own personal struggle with lust. It's the best $8 I ever spent. The best blocker I’ve used!. From pictures to videos, this app doesn’t disappoint when it comes to blocking the bad content. Sure, it can be disappointing that something normal won’t open for you, but it beats the repeats of porn addiction. My sons have the app too! A big time winner!

Very Good Porn Blocker. I have had this app for years and it has keep me safe from viewing internet Pornography. I highly recommend xBlock for anyone who is trying to avoid stumbling into internet porn sites because of a bad habit or porn addiction. Couldn’t be happier.... On my third year with this app and I couldn’t be happier. I’d recommend for anyone who has figured out how to circumvent web filters. However, you still have to be aware of apps that allow back door access to the internet without going through your default browser, such as Safari. I test every app I download and delete many of them.

Excellent Product!. I would pay more for this. This is so helpful and makes surfing the web safe and more enjoyable. I have used this app for over four months now, and I have never seen any image or video that is inappropriate—nudity of any kind even images of people at a beach or pool (situations that some may consider normal or appropriate nudity)—and I have never been able to access any inappropriate site. Great!. Just knowing it’s there, helps to keep those thoughts at bay. The app has kept me from viewing certain web pages that I didn’t consider trouble, but we all know that it just takes one little thing to set off those urges. So therefore, I’m happy that it keeps me from viewing potentially dangerous articles. My having to read something doesn’t equal any future shameful feelings.

Junk. Not even 2 searches later just testing it out- full on porn available. Support is on vacation, so good luck getting it blocked. Would have thought a porn site of it's popularity would for certain be blocked. But it was not. Also- no password protection except for your own iPhone restrictions app. Really? Oh- and Only a Safari blocker? Useless App. Do not pay for it to try it out - Just tried PURGE. It's $2, no subscription, has a separate password protection, and also filters everything! Awesome! Don't waste your money on this app.

Good. This site is great..I'm glad this is around the money spent is worth it! If you still get the URLs sometimes send them in and they will block them for you, that makes things good in the long run, and with that 100% instead of 99% will be blocked, very satisfied Good Job!!

Has really helped. A lot of porn blockers that I have used have allowed me to view sites but would report them to a accountability partner. When the urge is strong enough you don’t care who knows. This has helped me fight through the temptation by not allowing me access giving me more time to walk away and stay in the fight

Works very well. I had one site that xBlock wouldn’t block. I contacted the author and he fixed it very quickly. I’ve been using this app for many months and that is the only problem I’ve ever had. Works great.

As close to “perfect” blocker as you can find on iOS.. iOS has challenges when it comes to blocking apps (mostly due to their privacy policies), but this app is really effective at taking down all the inappropriate content out there on safari. If you use this with the screen time restrictions, and block apps from being installed/deleted (including other browsers) this is about as perfect as you’ll find on iOS. It has really helped me and my family keep pornography out of out home.

I love it!. This is a fantastic app and I love it! Not only does it block just about any nudity or pornographic material, but they DO work to improve the app constantly which is much appreciated! One great feature is it's a one-time fee for the usage of the app as long as you want! The only downside to this app is that it's only available for Apple products and can't be used on your computer unless it's apple. But that's the only negative I've found! Love it and love the efforts to block wickedness!

Great App,. Love this app and the freedom it has given me, only thing I would say is that there are some loopholes and deeper ways to still view X rated content. Clicking links deep within pages on apps is one way, like Facebook messenger or Pinterest. Another way is anytime a browser is opened within an app, if you are able to find the settings or terms and agreements page for the browser, wether it be google, bing, or another search engine, you are usually able to find anything you want with minimal interference from the app. The only other issue is that it blocks very mundane and normal things, I know that can’t Necessarily be helped. All around awesome.

Simple solution. I have had this app installed on my current and last three phones over the past 7 years!! Simple way to block unwanted images and web pages. This helps me trust the internet a bit more when my kids use my phone. As well as completely inhibits any quick thought to look up dis tasteful images. Best Blocker, Best Developer. The blocker is simple and effective for those who want to take no risks with temptation. It's true, it may block harmless images, websites, or Google searches, but I would rather have a more strict control while giving up some of my freedom to search. The developer also uses a blacklist to add websites that may need targeted individually, and he is unbelievably responsive and quick to add any legitimate suggestions to the list. Though this app is for anyone fighting against the destructive nature of pornography, I would especially encourage Christian men and women to get this blocker as a huge step towards long-term success.

Overall very effective. This app definitely gets the job done. It may even be considered too extreme in that it disables all image searching. But it’s a fair trade off for putting a stop to viewing the material it’s designed to block.

Five Stars Indeed!. This is the perfect app! I myself have had problems with watching porn in the past and let me tell you it really isn't a good thing. Fantastic for staying accountable. I can feel confident letting my son play with my phone knowing he won't stumble upon sites he has no business going to. I do hope they improve their algorithm for determining whether or not a site is ok or not because sometimes when I receive links through email or text for work it block all sites. But not every time. I still believe it's loads better than any other app in the app store

One of the best!. This is one of the best apps I've been able to find. It really helps. There are a few sites that display graphic porn like Twitter and Facebook that of course, it doesn't block, but for those other sites you can just ban them through Safari. But Jonathan has made as good an app as is possible I believe, and he is very responsive if you have any problems or suggestions; the fastest reply I've ever had from a developer. It's not flawless, but it has stopped me from getting access many times. Definitely a help!

Whitelist. The app needs it's own whitelist filter. Safari's is far too restrictive as it blocks seemingly innocuous or inoffensive sites or pages within a site that Safari has already allowed access too.

It really worths for paying. It Helps me a lot from distractions,never let any bad ads popping up and keeps my history tidy and clean.

Doesn’t work!!. I have had this app for awhile and before, it was working wonders! 10/5 stars! But they updated it or something and now it doesn’t block any porn at all. I hate the built in blocker because its stupid and blocks every single website I go to, but I digress. This app was a way for me to block porn but not the sites I love. I hope there is a way to correct this

A Great Help. While it has blocked a couple of Google searches that weren’t porn (such as Babe Ruth), the small inconvenience that was is more than worth it for the peace of mind this blocker provides by helping resist temptation.

Must have blocker!. I love that this works with safari! I can use my iPhone like normal and it blocks all the garbage. I believe it even filters google images, which is awesome! It's definitely worth the one time fee.

Great. But. It's great but it blocks many things besides the explicit. It also caused the image search on google to no longer work correctly. It won't open up any images when clicked on which is very annoying. Other than that, it's great for people with an addiction to porn.

Great app. Thank you for the great work you are doing on this app! This app does a great job of blocking porn and keeping the kids from stumbling onto things on Safari. Hopefully in the future it will expand coverage to other apps like Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr, etc.

Two thumbs up. As a single guy this app keeps me in check. Would recommend because it hardly limits regular searches on safari.

Relief....mostly a great app. Unfortunately it blocks non sexual “images,” such a traditional artist paintings, searching for Italian peacoats, and the images for the new Acura, but I can live with these limitations. Porn use became too casual and manage to trump and thus derail whatever else I was doing. So, it’s about a week, so far so good.

Works. It works well. Blocks Reddit and a couple other sites unfortunately, but that’s a small price to pay to protect your purity.

Effective. I have an accountability parter who enabled XBlock on my phone then set a password so I cannot disable it. Some websites are not blocked but the majority of them are. In the event that I find an inappropriate that should be blocked I just email in and it’s taken care of asap!

So far good!. It does error on the side of over blocking sites that don't need blocking, but that's better than not blocking what should be blocked! Especially if you are someone struggling with this! I just hope this comes to safari on macOS soon!

Good!. Works well upon download. Great for safari and Chrome on my iPhone 7, iOS 10.3.1. Asking app maker to filter out images through IMDB. I set it up with a passcode I can't remember. So, to get rid of it, I'd have to reset my whole phone. Great for Christians I think.

It works. I like it because it blocks harmful sites. I’d like it if they updated it to not block safe sites. I experience this regularly. It’s not a big deal, though. Overall, it does what it’s supposed to.

Layer this with other safety nets. Read over the help section. This will cover most questions/concerns with the app and its capability and how you can fill in the gaps this app doesn’t cover. The developer is very responsive to any issues you might have.

Save your money this does not block images.. I bought this app and it doesn’t block out pornographic images. It does good on certain web sights but porn is easily accessed in images. There has to be a way where can add certain things to be blocked out that can be typed into the search that allow you access porn... until then save your money. I can’t and won’t use this or recommend this to my family or friends to buy.

$30 to break browsing. Yeah it blocks adult content, but it literally blocks everything else too. I reached out to the dev who was a nice enough guy but his response was to email him links every time the app blocked something it wasn't supposed to. If that's the only solution I'm going to develop carpal tunnel from all the emailing in the next few months, because this app blocks a tremendous amount of safe content.

Works.. Blocks your access to stuff that sounds dubious. If you’re just tired of your device usage it might be of help to give this a shot for a while.

Needs a lot of work. This app definitely should not be on the App Store for the price it has. It has many glitches/bugs and it ends up blocking a ton of things that aren't even porn. You can't even search up a simple, innocent picture on google without it being blocked. Author has to update this thing to make it work correctly. Not worth the money at all.

Excellent! Get it! No regrets!. Jonathan Arnold responded in one day to my request to add a term that allowed some questionable content through in a search query. This app is tight and functions wonderfully! I'm locking the iPhone to Safari only and dropping the VPN-based content filtering service I was using before. This app is THAT GOOD!

Definitely would recommend. This app is good I would definitely recommend it...the only issue is that you can’t search any kind of image no matter wat they are...other than that really good blocker

A life saver. Because of this app and some help from friends, I have now gone 9 months without accessing pornography. This is such a blessing. Highly recommend.

Only blocks English. Only blocks English results. This makes the app useless for multilingual folk, and next to useless to anyone who can use google translate. Maybe this app is good enough for kids, but for myself, I'm going to try an accountability browser instead. Sending my wife a report of what I looked at will be a bigger barrier than going to google translate.

Works great with one issue. This app definitely helps on the safari browser. However, this blocker has no affect on Twitter's in-app browsing. Is there any sort of update you can do that allows the blocker to block pornographic content thru the in-app browsing? It would really help my fight against porn addiction.

A much needed service. I have been using this app for the last two months and have found it to be very thorough. The creator pays great attention to detail, and responds to requests for support promptly and courteously. I only wish Apple were as responsive to feedback.

Decent program.. Keeps me off sites on my phone. Works but also blocks pics of regular things often too which is a little irritating.

Solid.. I have struggled with porn for a long time, and this app is the best app I've found that still allows me to browse, but blocks the bad stuff. If I type in "boobs", "sexy", "nude" or anything like that it blocks the search. Which is awesome. It works seamlessly with Safari.

Not what I expected. I paid $50 for this app because everything I read about was just what I was looking for except the fact that there’s no way to passcode the on and off button. My son will be able just turn it off if he wants to. Now if there’s a way to do this that I don’t know about please enlighten me.

Made all the difference. Overcoming addiction is a spiritual and temporal process. Have temporal aid from this in combating the urge to view porn has made the process much better. I’m thankful for it.

Finally!. This finally blocks images in browsers like Safari and Google. No one else seems to realize the problem that poses to men trying to do the right thing.
