Amazing product for any music head. This app is pretty amazing with the 3D sound quality. No, I’m not an expert or anything but I think this app does a really good job at letting all the sounds and depths of the music come to the forefront of the sound just as equally as they do the vocals. Sometimes I’m listening to a song and it sounds like I’m IN the booth with the finish product playing throughout my ears. The amplification of sound compared to your usual music app is night and day and BOOM sound reigns superior every time. I gave this app 4 stars because I do have one issue with it in my experience, not saying this is an issue for everyone but for me…the app sometimes doesn’t cooperate properly if I don’t completely close out the app after every use. Making it extremely annoying later, when I want to scroll through my song lists after a bit of not using the app. WORTH the yearly subscription

STILL IN LOVE. I remember when Boom was starting out and I took a chance on a relatively unknown music playing app. Fell in love at first listen, and like any relationship I griped a tiny bit when it wasn’t exactly free anymore but I just couldn’t let my Boom go so years later through few iPhones and many iOS’s, we’re still together because there’s no other music player is as intuitive to my listening needs be it headphones to AirPods thumping my bass hard as AF till it remembers to shut itself off (Sleep Timer built in YES!) so we’ll keep Boomin forever cause ITS 100% WORTH IT. To APPLE MUSIC AND PANDORA PPL QUIT HATING COMPLAIN TO THEM! It’s not Booms fault THEY don’t want u to use any other app but theirs! Thanks for the multitude improvements and for bringing visualization back! 🥰🥰🥰

100% Recommend. Boom makes the music-listening experience immensely more enjoyable. I first purchased Boom on my computer and was eager to get it on my phone when I realized there was a mobile app. Boom's effect on music is superior when compared to the Apple music app; I can't stress this enough. In addition to the EQ features, I use the cross-fading feature as well, and can't get enough of it. I highly recommend this app to anyone who loves music and wants to elevate their listening experience even more. My only recommendation would to make the queue more editable; like being able to add single songs into the queue at any given time, similar to Apple's queuing features.

buy it 😘Best of the best. Frankly i have tried many audio enhancers and wast a lot of dollars 💵 and i did not get satisfied. And i said ok lets try that 💥 Boom because i really need to listen to a super sound in my music and i got it . I tried in many hip hop songs and it impressed me by the quality and the clear improvement in my audio . That is why i said Buy it You gonna love ❤️ it it worth it and more value than any other expensive stuff .. thanks for the people who bring this app to life And thanks every body letting me share my experience with every one looking for a better sound . Have a good 😊 one ..

Great app but enough with the marketing. I love Boom. I use it for my desktop and mobile device. Music would not be as good without it! But Boom, whoever is in charge of your push notifications, tell them to put more thought in before they hit send and stop sending so many notifications in general. I’m officially annoyed and turning them off. They are useless messages. Today I was notified with “Its half way to the weekend! Get going with Boom!”. What am I supposed to get out of that? I know it’s Wednesday...it’s literally displayed above your push notification on my lock screen. I’ve been getting messages like this almost every day. tl;dr Great job engineering team. You’ve created apps that are a must have. Marketing team (I assume), make your push notifications informative and useful for your users.

What happened?. I like the new updates but you removed one of the features that set this player apart from all the rest! The ability to restart a song on the fly by holding the timer button back at the beginning and releasing it whenever you wanted to. This gave us the ability to simulate a mix. Please bring that back! Also give us the ability to remove the auto up next feature. I like to create my own queue and not have one made for me. Thanks!

Why?. I like the sounds available with Boom. No issue there. In fact I'd love to have this. However, this BS about who "owns" the music is infuriating. I pay Apple to stream music. I don't mind paying as musicians deserve our support. Absolutely and 100%. So I'm paying to make it all legit. Yet, there's another standard applied if I want to take off a bit of the treble on certain mixes. So basically, since I have minimal space to be able to download certain tunes locally, I'll get to use Boom on the few songs downloaded. Unacceptable. If I'm paying for the rights to listen to artists, I should be afforded the control over how I prefer the desired EQ. I pay the same price to stream it as I do to download it as well. Here it is, 2020 and apparently the man behind the curtain is shaking his head "No!" when it comes to having an EQ function on one of the most popular and technologically advanced pieces of hardware on Earth.

Misleading.. I tried this app and listened to a few of my songs from within the app and at 1st was very impressed at the sound quality when the effect is enabled. Within the app you can turn the effect on and off and the quality of all tracks was much improved with the effect on. But, I soon realized what was happening. My music sounds flat when listening from within the app with the effect disabled. But if I listen to the same track on my built in player on my iPhone the track sounds great without the app. So from what I can tell turning the effect switch off within the app intentionally degrades the sound quality of my track in effort to make the effect impressive. The switch does not compare the effect with the sound of my built in audio. Very misleading. I will not be keeping this app.

No mention of DRM restrictions. I’ve been a Boom! customer for years on iMac (desktop) and believe it’s one of the best products on the market at any price. The app for iPhone is unfortunately lacking. Due to DRM restrictions, iTunes blocks your ability to use Boom’s effects on a lot of songs effectively making the app worthless for a sizable chunk of my music collection even though I PURCHASED these albums and songs. *** It would’ve been nice to know this before I purchased a 6-month subscription to Boom!*** I can’t say I’m upset with Boom as it’s the fault of iTunes being a tight wad. But being more transparent about what you can and can’t do with the app would be a good start.

Monthly sub, really?. I’ve enjoyed both Boom 2 and Boom3D on my Mac for many years. It’s one of my indispensable apps that I simply can’t live without. If the iOS version is anything like the Mac app I’m sure it’s excellent quality. But there is simply no way I’m paying monthly for it. If you want to charge me $20 for the iOS version even though that’s far and away higher than most any other utility app costs, sure I’ll pay it. Why? Because Boom is that good. But every year, into infinity? I really don’t think so. I’m so tired of subscriptions and micro-transactions milking every last dime out of loyal customers. The only recourse we have is to speak with our wallet. So no, I’m sorry. Charge a flat rate, charge for upgrades, charge for features we want, yes, all of that. But don’t charge just for the “privilege” of having the app function the way it was intended. Disappointed.

Streaming FLAC files from Google Drive. This app allows me to stream FLAC music from the cloud ,(which I was pleasantly surprised by) however the stream stutters and fails to play the track without multiple pauses. The only to fix this issue for me is to download the song. I have another app that don’t require me do so in order to play my music smoothly from my Drive, I.e. VOX Music Player. Unlike VOX, Boom allows for sophisticated 3D audio with all headsets as well as having a lower subscription price. If the devs could fix this streaming issue they would easily be just as good if not better than VOX. I’m a lifetime subscriber btw. Update: I logged back into the app and got a message claiming that I was trying to play an “unsupported” file type. I’ve never had this issue when streaming the songs directly through my Drive, VLC Media Player, or VOX music player. If it weren’t for the EQ I’d probably regret becoming a subscriber.

So buggy and no real shuffle. I’ve been using Boom on my desktop for years and love it, but there are so many problems with the iOS iteration. First of all the interface is incredibly clunky not easy to navigate at all. I’ll hear a song and want to see the artist or album and I have to press like 12 extra buttons and scroll to do so. The shuffle is not a true shuffle because the 2nd song is always the very first alphabetical song in my library. And then it plays things in order even when it’s on shuffle. Almost all of my songs are songs are Apple purchases (meaning Boom effects can’t be applied) but they only recognize a random few as such. It freezes constantly and the main play screen with the circular artwork is so ugly. Just show me the entire square artwork. When it works, the sound adjustment is amazing but the interface is so so so clunky and there are 3 many bugs with this app. Can somebody please recommend a comparable replacement that actually works?

Holy yes amazing.. Upon hearing about the Mac version and using it I wanted to see if this would hold up just as well. One song in and I already can tell this is going to be so worth it. It gives the songs so much more feeling to them. And while I may not be an audiophile, hearing "more" of the song makes it an awesome addition to my library of apps. Also, to all the complainers, you really can't fix something you have no control over, especially when it comes to Apple products. You can't make Apple change something. So you're stuck with their rules, like it or not.

Quit asking to “restore” after every update!!. Great app! But it mis alphabetizes all of my Music Libray. All music groups who’s name starts with “The” are all lumped together under, THE, under the t’s, (ex. The beatles, the cure, the rolling stones, the B52’s, etc...) as opposed to where they should be alphabetized. ALSO, EVERY TIME I JUMP BACK INTO MY LIBRARY FROM WHERE I AM (when in “Album” view, not in “Songs” view)IT DOESN’T TAKE ME BACK TO WHERE I JUST WAS, BUT INSTEAD, IT TAKES ME BACK TO THE VERY TOPMOST OF MY WHOLE MUSIC LIBRARY, BACK TO THE A’s...and this sometimes frustrates me so much, that the time killing of it forces me to switch to another music app, (as there isn’t the little “alphabetical sidebar”, as in “songs” view, that allows you to tap on the starting letter of the musical group, a,b,c, etc., to get you there quicker). Other than that, this is a pretty decent app, and has great sound possibilities and customization, and I use it now quite often, but not as much as my favorite music app, which is the FANTASTIC, EQ10...also, the squeezing of album art is another issue, but overall, its not that important...keep up the awesome work!

Help can somebody please , help. I really love this app, but I’m so frustrated to the point I’m thinking of canceling my subscription and dumping this app altogether! Why, because I’ve gone round and round and around and round until I don’t know what to do except accept that this fight is fixed. Boom will not all the songs in my library. It use to up until a year or so ago whether it’s songs I purchased from iTunes or music I downloaded into my library or songs that I’ve written and recorded, it arbitrarily chooses what songs it will play. I’ve talked with apple and my phone carrier and nothing anyone suggested worked. So of course they are saying it has be a issue with Boom . Can I please get some help. Thank you

Perfect for amplifying. Bought some Bose Sound Sport Free true wireless and they sounded super crisp. But lacked in volume in my honest opinion. I looked around for a music amplifier app and this popped up. Gave it a try and tried different settings. These fit the bill perfectly. Did the 2day free trial and they were great. Bought the year because of how well it amplified my Bose. My one drawback is it seems to disconnect every now and again from your music source and you have to close the app and reopen, then search again. Other than that it works well for my use.

Exceptional. Easy to use and a wide variety of selections to make your music sound superb. Downloaded to use for my small Bluetooth speaker and it makes the sound much louder but also keeps it crisp and clear and not muffled or scratchy by exceeding the standard speaker volume. You will spend a lot of time playing with it’s endless variety of choices making a standard music experience something much more. Not much of a reviewer but I highly recommend this app as it certainly deserves 4 - 5 stars easily. Give it a try and I’m sure you will agree.

Incompatible with Apple Music.. The app makes all my songs sound so much better and most importantly it increases bass without sacrificing any of the other frequencies. That being said, as mainly an Apple Music user the app is UNUSABLE because Apple protects all their music with DRM, so the developers are unable to Apply Boom effects to the songs. I understand this is a problem with Apple and not the Boom developers, but I strongly encourage them to find a workaround to this issue because it basically makes the app incompatible with Apple music users. The moment this app works with Apple Music songs and can be used offline is the moment I buy a subscription, until then I’m sticking to the default Apple Music app

Exceeded my extremely low expectations!. I’m familiar with virtual surround sound with gaming and I think it works great for what it is. Not sure how it would work with music so I came across this app which is free for like 5 days. Plenty of time to test it. I didn’t really know the difference at first. I could tell there was a difference just not sure what. So I was starting to wonder if this was a gimmick after listening to a whole album of one of my favorite bands. I then started to listen to the same album without the Boom effects or app. I couldn’t even finish the first song without wanting to go back to the Boom app effects. It definitely sounds more full and it is easier to pick up multiple sounds and voices distinctly. I am using this app with my Beats Solo 3 headphones. On some songs the bass got too heavy for what my headphones could handle so I had to adjust the EQ a bit on some songs but treble is awesome on my headphones so everything else was amazing. I’ll have to test it on other headphones I have. Overall definitely worth trying and definitely worth a one time purchase of $4.99. I got it on sale for $2.99 on Black Friday. Even better! You will never want to go back to 2D music after using this.

So worth it!!!. After being thoroughly unimpressed by the sound quality of the iPhone EQ I went on a quest to find a solution to the bad sound quality. Well, I found it with the BOOM app!!! Super easy interface and full access to my songs made set up a breeze. Then comes the amazing sound. Wow! What a difference this app makes. All of the music sounds so much fuller. I actually thought there was something wrong with my Bose headphones when I first listened with the iPhone EQ. Then I downloaded the boom app and experienced the full potential of my headphones! Thanks BOOM!!! Such an incredible deal for $1.99!!!

This app is great...but it needs some changes. I use this app everyday, it's great and not only boosts the bass of your music, but allows you to import music files from other apps that allow you to download videos and audio files from the web. This comes in handy when there's a song you want to listen to on the go but it's not on iTunes. Now, I've said all positive things so far, but there's somethings that need to be changed. A majority of my music, now, is on Apple Music. Boom would give me a DRM protection warning before allowing me to play the DRM protected song, just not with effects. I was perfectly fine with that, until I wasn’t. In a recent update, I found I was no longer able to play the DRM protected songs, even without effects. Do you think you could fix this?? Because I’m tired of jumping back and forth between noon and iTunes because I can’t access my Apple Music library. Thank you :)

No artists - album - songs view instead artists - songs. Like the sound. It’s not earth shattering better than other music players with EQ capability, but it gets a tiny bit more out of it when listening via Bluetooth earbuds (using mostly AirPods pro). The only issue I have is when selecting an artist, it then shows all the songs in random order instead of first showing an album view within which one can then see the songs. This is just so basic but quite annoying when you have a lot of music in the iPhone with a lot of artists and most of them with more than just 2 albums. Please fix this, it’s very basic

Almost Perfect. I just purchased the Boom for my iPhone and so far I love it with one huge exception. I obviously use this app in place on the default iPhone music player, so that I can take advantage of the EQ functionality. So, I get into my car, fire up Boom and start listening to music and everything is fine.. I can control the music (next/previous, volume up/down using the controls on my steering wheel) just like I can using the standard iPhone music app. However, occasionally boom will reach a song in my playlist that it claims cannot be EQ'd due to DRM (which is fine), so it plays the song anyway (just without any EQ functionality) - the problem is, whenever that happens, I lose all control to the app, meaning I have no way to control it anymore from my steering wheel buttons. This requires me to kill the app, and restart it, and everything is fine again. So, this is a really annoying bug, and I hope you can fix it soon!

Boom Boom!!!!. If you like how music is supposed to be heard, than you found the right one! Can't stop jamming. Feel like I'm in the studio with the artist! I wish I would have found this earlier. If you like the trial than you will love it. It's no gimmick. It sounds phenomenal. If you learn how to tune it right you real can appreciate it! Well done Boom. I take my hat off to you. Money well spent on a quality product. I love when I spend money on something that really deserves it. Keep up the great work.

Could be great. Downloaded the trial a bit ago. If you are using a small speaker (think Alexa) you can realllly enhance the sound to the speaker’s best ability. By far the best app I’ve used. Except...I have about 20 gigs of Apple Music downloaded and some I added to library and some not or whatever causes the DRM Protected error. Only 1 in, being liberal, 20 songs are able to use the apps Effects. It’s on the developers backs to fix this issue which I’m sure everyone is scared off by. I’m not going to reorganize my library and downloads to work with the app- it needs to work with what I have. I’ll gladly change my review and buy the package if this happens—it’s definitely worthy of 5 stars.

THE ALPHA MUSIC PLAYER!. I am deeply involved in music, in fact I DJ, so sound quality & programs etc I know well. With that said, I have used many music Apps trying to find the best one. Yes there are a couple of good ones I came across, but in my opinion “BOOM: Music Player” is the Alpha of them all. I purchased the Mac Desktop version about 2 years ago (also fantastic) and use their BOOM Remote for complete functionality. Last year I purchased the app for the 1 year subscription which expires in a week. I use BOOM at least 5 days a week a few hours each day (it gets a lot of play) & I personally never had issues ie, can’t ever recall it crashing, in fact after their last update I feel it is even better. I am so positive that this is the Alpha of the music player apps I said F@%k it and just purchased the Lifetime pack. If I have to nitpick there is ONLY one thing I hope they add/fix, so I hope the developer reads this, hear me and fixes it. The system in my truck (custom) has a remote so I never have to touch the radio or phone for anything BUT with BOOM I can only skip to the next track.....back from track to track. Would be outstanding if I could scroll through/ Fast forward within a track… in other words if I simply want to hear a certain spot in the track. If I want to do that I need to open the phone/app a scroll that way. NBD, still a BadA$$ APP. Oh and their customer service is on the up & up! The times I emailed I ALWAYS got a response pretty fast!

Disappointed.. First off, I only wanted to try and then purchase the app for the sound enhancement feature. After the trial period, it turns out this app is subscription based and not a one time purchase. I don’t need streaming services. The option to use the sound enhancement for my own personal music library is all I need. Secondly, the app doesn’t extend the actual volume limit of the iPhone unlike the desktop version does so what’s the point. Sound effects don’t mean anything unless the volume is actually enhanced. Thr ability to enhance the volume limit is the reason I purchased this app for my iMac and my MacBooks. Very sadly and unfortunately- this feature is NOT available for this mobile device version! No good 👎🏻

Needs improvement. I like the app but the one thing that I'm a little disappointed about is it doesn't count the number of plays for a song (on the built in iPhone music app, each time a song is finished, the counter adds one to the number of plays. It adds however many plays for a song to iTunes since the last time you synced your phone with your computer.) I personally like to keep track of my progress, so if it wasn't for that I would still use this app for listening to music. Also, the visualizer during when a song is played is kinda slow and doesn't look as smooth as I hoped for. I'm not an expert programmer or anything but these sound pretty easy to fix. Once it is then I'll definitely give this 4 to 5 stars as well as use this app more often.

I spent 40 years in broadcasting . . .. Living with music every day of your life, you quickly pick-up the nuances of of sound - the highs, lows and mid-ranges - each have several ranges within themselves and it can be irritating when something is wrong. I discovered BOOM just after it first came out, and while it wasn’t perfect, it was close. The developers are obviously audio freaks as there have been several modifications since the original and each step gets them closer to the wholly grail of perfection. My first bit of advice is delete everything else you use and get this app. Second, listen wearing high-end, over the ear headsets. (I’m wearing Sennheiser’s HD 660 S as I type this.)

Partially supports lossless / .flac. I'm a long-time fan of Boom for Mac, and tried this out a while back. Cool, I thought, but at the time I was pretty wedded to Apple Music so it wasn't useful to me. Since then I've been getting more into lossless 24bit music, which is usually in .flac format. On a lark, I tried importing a .flac track to Boom tonight, and to my great surprise it worked. Why don't you advertise this feature?? Edit- just noticed it doesn't allow importing .flac from cloud services. Why only the partial support? By fixing that and allowing iTunes file import, you could easily care to the hi-fi market.

Whoa!!!. This app is amazing I can’t believe the difference in my music. Without this app it sounds like you are outside of the concert and when you turn on the 3D it’s like you open the door and walk inside. It is a night and day difference I will never use iTunes to listen to music again. Wish I would have found this app years ago well worth the money. I didn’t even wait the 5 days of the trial as soon as I turned on the effects I said I’m buying this app. Get this app you will not be disappointed. I would give it ten stars if I could!

Love the app but it has a few bugs. Surround sound boost sounds fantastic when you can get the app to play the song. Seems to be a big bug in that it classifies some music as playing from the cloud (so no effects) when it is in reality downloaded to your device. On my own device there are several songs that I know are downloaded but show as from the cloud or Apple Music within the Boom app. Sometimes the app will stop playing all downloaded music entirely and will only play the music it thinks is from the cloud or Apple Music. I had to delete the app and reinstall it for it to play the other songs again. App would be a five star app if they could fix those problems.

Asking for a refund. I got this app last night to try to find a stop-gap fix for a problem with the highs on my AirPods Pro being too shrill. I knew it wouldn’t be an across the board fix, but expected it to work right. First off, I discovered that it forces you to use it as your music app from now on, and the GUI is ugly and rustic. I hit into errors with locally stored iTunes purchases with it thinking they were Apple Music streaming selectively, and refusing to equalize it all- some will, some it won’t touch and give a DRM error. It also scrambled all the artists, albums, and songs, alphabetizing everything individually, making nothing easy to find. In short, it’s useless. It’s particularly upsetting because when I tried to do the free trial, I got hit with a scammy popup telling me that if I bought a lifetime subscription this very moment, it would be on super sale. So I never even got the free trial to see if it was good or not, in fear of overpaying for something that I could be stuck using for a long time. Apple should make those one chance only sale buy before you try offers against the App Store rules! I’ve written in asking for a refund this evening, but considering that I’m still waiting for a reply from yesterday’s support request, it’s most likely going to take a while before I get assistance.

Buy the App. Perfect for those with high-end headphones. I can experience the full capabilities of my iphone linked B&W headphones. Boom 3 on my mac is another level. I suggest purchasing the boom product for each device. The app even upgrades the Bose sound system configured in my Escalade. I use Sonos for in-home audio. So, I’m not sure the effect on BT Home speakers. If you have better speakers, then probably none. My only complaint is that you should be able to max out all app setting and volume, while using the auto equalizer, and receive with no distortion. Full bass for 3d is impossible to play for almost any song at 75% or above volume.

Great.... but:. This is a great app. I’ve probably tried every music player in the App Store and this is by far the best. Beautiful clean interface. Easy to use and the effects do add new life to your headphones. There are a LOT of optional settings to play around with. ONE STAR OFF FOR THE YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION NONSENSE!! Just charge a one time flat fee so we can be done with it. I paid the subscription because it’s worth it and I’m gullible, but I would have happily paid a bit more for a one time fee. Update: the bass is blowing out my headphones. (A few different ones; Beats, Grado) I’ve tried turning off the bass boost and it doesn’t do much. The only fix is to turn off effects which defeats the point. Is there a way to dial down the bass a bit more without having to build a custom eq? Overall still a great player though. (Prefer the Vibrant and Flat settings. Both have same issue)

Sounds amazing, but not for Apple Music. The quality of the music is noticeably superior to listening through the regular music app. Effects are just as good as the Boom 3D Mac app, though you need an in-app purchase to use the 3D effects after a trial period. Sounds best on headsets like Beats, but still works really well with AirPods. Only problem is that you can’t use any of the quality enhancing features like 3D if the song is from Apple Music because they have DRM protection (so you might have to run them through a converter on your mac) but songs purchased from the iTunes Store are fully compatible.

JUST Don't bother... They'll take your money and run.. I bought the life time back when it first came out. It was awesome since i had an iPhone and took it with me. It had the sound effects and all, back then they didn't have the"streaming"thing but who cared i had my own music. Well they added a couple of streaming features and a subscription so they thought, well the hell with the costumers that bought lifetime.... To them your lifetime obviously means until they make changes to the app... Now god forbid i do anything without getting the subscription ad popping up and the effects i had purchased for life.. No more can access them, so now it's a useless app in the store. I don't write reviews ever...i had to warn, trust me don't bother👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿

Great sound but vey glitchy. I like the sound well enough that I bought it but the iPhone app still has massive problems. The basic controls are not functioning properly. The button to skip backwards to the last song almost never works. The time readout is never correct, sometimes showing that a song is over an hour long and has timed out at the same time. The app will suddenly start skipping to other songs while you’re in the middle of listening to one. Also, the sound controls are in at least three different places rather than in one place, and good luck trying to find the set you need when want it. It seems like the developers are more concerned with making the app available to as many streaming services as possible rather than first getting the basic controls down. I have had their Imac version for many years and it took almost three years before they got the glitches out of it. I’m sure they will on the phone app but you better have patience waiting for them to get this right.

Awesome, but.... This is a really good music app. I like having the option of different presets for different genres of music. I also like the ability to change your headphone style, be it in ear or over ear. The one option, though, that would give this app 5 stars instead of 4: an option for car speakers. I use this app in my car way more than I do with headphones, so, that addition would be much appreciated by me. Also, there’s something strange bug that doesn’t show the artist in the car display when it’s hooked up to the vehicle. Not a huge problem, but, it’s something that would be nice to fix.

By far the best sounding enhancement app.. I have down loaded so many free and purchased even more music enhancement apps ever since I purchased the 4s. I have Bose over ear headphones and no other app has come close to the rich sound & deep bass this app puts out also really easy to use. Keep up the good work and if it is possible to improve it I can't wait. I have deleted all other apps I had, but there is one thing that would really be appreciated since you have been able to make it work with Google drive why not make it work with Google play?

Perfect if only…. This is a solid app doing what it says. There is one big shortcoming for me though. It would be so much more usable if there was a way of making whole folder playable off-line or at least had a feature to select all songs of the folder in order to make them playable off-line in one click. Making all the songs off-line from a folder of 50 songs is staggeringly unwieldy and time consuming. I paid for life-long license and I asked for this reasonable feature two years ago. It has never been added unfortunately.

Great app, easy to use. Works as stated. This app has a built in amplifier, as it boosts your volume level past standard. Bass amplifier works amazing compared to all other apps, I give a 9/10 star rating if I could, unfortunately it’s limited to 5 stars. The one half rating I’m giving is because Apple Music can’t be used with this app. You’re able to sync your Apple Music account but not stream with bass boosted effects. This is due to apple’s policy, but is not stated in the app description. Besides that, everything works as it should. I am proud to have bought the $40 lifetime subscription.

Great. At first I was not impressed at all. There was significant distortion for unclear reasons, now that has completely resolved. I listen mostly to Tidal through iPhone with a dragonfly cobalt. Headphone is a new Focal Celestee. Not a lot of bass boost needed because these headphones are bass monsters already; but the EQ function along with the surround effect add a great deal of detail and clarity to the music. Tidal MQA is lost coming out as 44.1 when going through this EQ but that’s an issue with Tidal rather than the Boom Booster. I’m on a trial now but will go ahead and buy a lifetime subscription when the trial is over. Yes, I would recommend it to anyone looking to optimize their music experience.

So Disappointing!!!. I bought the boom3d MacBook software and I’m so pleased so I obviously thought this is same as on laptop like it’s dress up on my music and sound all over laptop but unfortunately the iphone version is so unfriendly. First of all there’s only dark theme and no clear white which is terrible and I’m really having problems reading so unfriendly. Secondly it does not dress on my iPhone library music but wants me to use it’s library. Instead of just adding the fabulous equalizer system to my already playlists on my default iPhone which is much more friendly for looking at and more simply. Thirdly the visualizer is so idiotic... what is this? I’m not a kid in the 80s in NY with stereo on my shoulder. Get serious...Hey... make your version user friendly and then I’ll buy it! For now it shadows the laptop version but in a bad way! Too bad.

Best out there!. I love using Boom! It is the best out there by far with everything it does. I do have a suggestion for the suggestion box. I would love to see fast forward and rewind buttons (if there’s not already a way to do it that I’m missing) rather than having to guess where to move the slider. The buttons would be ones that let you move forward and backward about 10 or 15 seconds, and when you tap and hold the forward button, it would act as a speed up play button until you let up off of or to return to regular playback speed. This would let you be able to more easily jump to portions of a song which are closer together and speed through a portion if you want to just speed through it faster until you get to the part you want. This is just a suggestion, though, as this is still the best out there either way.

Boom 3D with Oontz Angle 3XL Ultra. Boom 3D with effects is indispensable to me. I use it on the laptop with movies and music: classical, jazz, blues, rock, folk (I’m a musician). Now the other items you must have: the Oontz speakers (2 for stereo) at a reasonable price and with sound quality unbelievable. And all portable in a small backpack. I use boom 3D on two iPhones and have the original small Oontz angle for ultra portability when needed. But boom 3D with the Oontz Angle 3XL Ultra (2 for stereo) is an extraordinary sound combination. I’ve owned the best analog systems (lost in an unfortunate financial travail) including Magneplanar ribbon speakers, Bryston 1000w amp, custom turntable, Etc. and what I gain now is portability and economy, along with Boom 3D’s extraordinary flexibility. Can’t wait to load my new 256 GB iPhone X with a plethora of music, organized into Boom 3D playlists :). —rob, a certified happy Boomer

People keep complaining.... ...about "problems" with this app. But the issues I keep seeing them complaining about CANNOT be fixed by the developers! Listen up!!! APPLE controls access to files with DRM, not the developers. I love this app, and I'll admit there are problems. For example, I'd love it if I could set Boom as the default player for music. But it's Apple's ball park so I doubt that will **ever** change. Technically, I guess it's Apple's ball park, bats, **and** balls. 😉 At any rate, before you go off half-cocked and make a complaint, make certain you've got your facts straight. For example, if the program is crashing a lot, but you don't see a lot of reports about crashing from other people, it's probably an issue with YOUR device. Additionally, devs usually fix crashing issues pretty quickly if they effect a number of people. To fix a problem like a crash, they have to be able to track down a problem. I'm running Boom on three iOS devices, almost daily, and it's never crashed on any of my devices. I personally give this app two thumbs up, five stars (GOLD stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) and I highly recommend it because it makes all my non-DRM music sound so much better! I barely ever use the Apple music player at all. I even use Boom when I'm listening in my car, and it makes my music sound richer and more full, even over my stock car speakers.

You get what you pay for.. I read the description and understood what this app does and doesn’t do. I tried it out for 5 free days (thank you Boom) and was very happy to pay the meager price asked to continue listening to my purchased music with all the sounds I’d forgotten since ditching my DiscMan CD player a thousand years ago. This App will make your purchased music sound so awesome you’ll remember why it’s worth paying for it. Your ears will thank you, your favorite artists will thank you, and you will sleep well knowing you’re a good person who is keeping new music alive by participating actively with your heroes (because you buy their art) and your Momma always said nothing good is free.

Great Audio, Ugly App. The audio effects are GREAT. Seriously. They make all audio sound amazing. I have two issues with the app though. The first is the design. It’s ugly and it’s cumbersome. Swiping up and down, left and right, buttons are in the wrong spot up in the notch, or they’re just not responsive. PLEASE update the app to be more modern. It will be a million times better if the design is refreshed to be like a more traditional music player, such as Apple’s stock app. The second issue is that the equalizer requires a subscription. In my opinion, that’s really ugly. I bought Boom 2 for my Macs, and it works great. I’d gladly pay $15 or even $20 for this equalizer and an amazing design. It’d be absolutely worth it. So PLEASE, update the app and take it back to a one time purchase! Thanks!

Wow.....Just wow.. I listen to a lot of coldplay and my iphone speakers get very staticky on some songs. Forces me to carry my Samsung galaxy with me when I can't use my headphones like when I'm at work. This music player allows me to lower or even turn off the things that are causing static in my speakers so I can enjoy the beautiful music while at work and thus be in a good mood for my customers since our in house radio is dreadful even to the customers. Lol. Thanks dev for giving me back my happiness without forcing me to carry my Samsung just for music. When I get better pay, I'll get the paid version for sure. Looking forward to helping the devs out. But for now, I'll lend my support through the praise they deserve.

Amazing!! What I have been waiting for!. Absolutely fabulous.

Life is complete. Bass boosted old town road to the max. I can now die happily.

Fantastic EQ App. I’ve been using BOOM for years now and swear by it; for iOS there’s no better way to get better sound from your music than this app. Highly recommend!

What happened???. Was working great flawless sound, smooth, clear but now since the last 2 updates the sound is not the same as before so my question.... what happened??? Now it sounds not so smooth not so clear and not flawless. Honestly it sounds like its trying too hard.... the bass sounds cheap and distorted but before it sounded great. So please go back to the way it was I'm now stuck with the standard music app but I love this one.

GREAT APP FOR MUSIC. Absolutely incredible app for music, you can download music from your Google Drive folders or other applications which is nice. There are a lot of options for equalisers that are kind of overwhelming to start off with, however there are some presets made for different styles of music which is a nice place to get a feel for the app. There is a free trial that allows you to access all of the features of the app, but I just found that I loved all the options it gives you and so decided to buy the full version of the app. 3D sound is phenomenally done and it is overall a great app for music, maybe even one of the best on the App Store! Highly recommend giving it a shot if you want more ‘oomph’ from your music :)

Absolutely awesome. Honestly the best bass boosting/ equalizer app I have ever used. There is no subscription needed for basic use of the app and there is also a sleep timer. I really recommend this one!

Boom!. There's nothing like good sound and Boom has transformed my Mac from tin to bass, so I was so excited to see it for my iPhone. I have awesome over-ear headphones and the sound is crisp and loud without Boom, but wow! I didn't think my experience could get any better-the app is amazing. I didn't even wait for the 5 free days to expire; I just hit that with, "shut up and take my money!" #soundporn 😬

Already paid for the original boom iOS app. Love the boom iOS app with the magical effects pack and also boom and boom 3D for my MacBook Pro and IMac. Why should I pay more for the premium pack or a yearly subscription? The developer is getting greedy.

Tidal Broken. Tidal doesn’t work - reason I downloaded fails. Skips tracks constantly. Library and radio ok but Tidal was the big draw. If this was fixed it would be good

Great app.. I like the fact that I get to select headphone type for better listening or even sometimes the app automatically detects the headphone type and sets it for me. The only thing missing is wired/wireless speaker option, but overall it’s great.

Awesome. Does exactly as described Added Boom2 to my mac book pro as well .

A Brilliant App. For me this app brings out the true meaning of the music I love. The sound is clear with the bass deep without annoying distortion. It’s an easy to use app that requires little setup to get the sound results you want.

Not Boomin’. While I absolutely love Boom 3D and it’s performance on my laptop, I’m a little underwhelmed at it’s capabilities as a phone app, particularly it’s inability to apply to Apple Music which it does without problem via laptop. I would consider buying the full version if this was rectified.

Wow. What a upgrade to iPhone. I tried the trial version for about a half an hour before deciding there and then to upgrade to lifetime premium edition. This upgrade to iPhone music player and controls are the best thing to happen to the iPhone. If you download this app you will be as impressed as I am. Boom is the Premium upgrade to listen to music the way it should be.

Absolutely waste of money. It’s been over 2 months since I’ve purchased this app and until date I’m unable use cause of a bug in the app which skips songs after every 10-12 seconds. On approaching the support team they have no fix to this bug and simply sending me emails saying we are still investigating. I demanded for a refund and they don’t even have courtesy to respond to that.

Would be AMAZING. Would be even better if you could just offer a one-time payment thingy instead of/ or as another option than monthly subscription

I m so sorry to rate this 1. The reason why I rated it 1 is because I don’t know how to add the music of IOS and how to get the music anyways it also didn’t let me post the feedback:( also how do you get the music on IOS?

Needs SoundCloud. This is a great app but if it’s charging more for this platform it’s interface should include SoundCloud too. If it did I’d recommend it to others and pay for the weekly subscription:)

Much easier to pick EQ during play back. And the app will remain on the last navigate position of the albums, rather start from the top. Nice 👍

Every time I turn off my phone it skips so many songs. So I was listening to music while I was doing stuff and I decided to turn off my phone but keep listening to music and when I put my phone in my pocket, the app starts skipping so many songs and doesn’t stop. Please fix this.

Weaver954. I decided to give this app a go and I was happy with it but the only problem I encountered is whenever I tried to open the lyrics of the song I play, the app crashes. Apart from that I am happy with the app.

Good Music App. Extremely good music app but latest update is glitchy with turning the screen and doesn’t look as good as the previous version

Need a speaker mode!. Now this app is only for headphones, and that’s not enough! We need car play!!!

Best enhance music app. This is one of the best music enhancer app I have tried so far. I also used boom 3D on my laptop for movie and every music. Highly recommend this app for anyone who looking for radio & music player with amazing surround effect. Looking forward to the next updates!

Why a subscription?. I bought the Mac version - really good but paid a single price. So why do I have to pay a subscription for the mobile version?? Forget it. I’ll go elsewhere.

A. I really like this app and I bought boom 3D for Mac, also want to use this in iOS devices, but I prefer not to purchase twice. So hope I can use this app for full features. Thanks!

Feels great sound. Really good 3d effect and really enjoying boom

Missing clarity. I recently purchased this app after being advertised in a tech magazine. However I must admit it's not worth the money. When the bass kicks in the artists sound goes down. Sound clarity & crispness is missing. I've a beats headphone and same music sounds great on the default music app on iPhone.

Equalizer Visual Graphics. I have been using this app for quite a while now, and found it sounds excellent both using headphones or speakers, the app is easy to use on the run with presets for the equaliser or make yourself a custom version. But I was hoping the upgrade would have a better Visualisation of the Graphic Equaliser, this is just a personal preference and does not effect the unquestioned quality sound that the app provides, and to most audiofiles it’s all in the sound.

Good. Been using this for a while it’s great. Allows high volume, you can increase background audio and change where the sound is coming from with ease

Never told me about a song limit. I was just trying to play my music, when I see that it’s not bass boosting my song. I checked to see what happened and it said song limit reached. When I got this app, it never told me about a song limit. This is just stupid.

What a great audio app.. This app gives my ears a whole new experience in listening to my oldies. The surround mix and the extra bass is very professionally executed. I have some suggestions to make. Shuffle tracks in the iTunes library. Shuffle tracks in all playlists. Be able to show the most played tracks. I can’t think of too much more for now as this app is nearly in the rating of “nearly perfect to my ears”. I use Sony earbuds and there are plenty of options for all types of headphones or just speakers. WHAT EXTRA FEATURES WILL THIS CREATOR THINK OF NEXT!

Used to be amazing. Used be amazing but they must have changed the formula or something because now every song sounds distorted and terrible quality :((

Purchase bug. Paid for subscription, apple charged me, issued a receipt, the app says there was no purchase while I’m supposed to be using my trial period. No reply from app support. How should this be fixed? Thank you.

Great app, but.... This app is definitely my go-to music app, however there is one area that bugs me; the music library doesn't recognize different discs. This is simple enough to fix in the up next part, but it is quite annoying.

Finally a decent (awesome) music player. Been looking for an iPhone/iPad music player that can handle and navigate my playlists and song preferences well.. Equaliser works really well with my Bose Sound Wear as a bonus.. I love the display and visualiser too, a nice touch.. Highly recommended.. only used a short while then bought the subscription and wrote this review while I’m playing my music with it :-)

Well worth it. I bought some Bose quietcomfort earphones and I’ve been disappointed in them up until I downloaded this app. It actually feels like I’m listening to hip hop now instead 👌🏼

So Worth Downloading. This would have to be the best music app it sound so good with my gaming headset 👍

Great experience by is there a glitch?. Boom is an amazing app that gives the boom to your music experience and gives you the access to most your libraries. But I had a problem with TIDAL streaming. When I was listening to my TIDAL playlist it just kept randomly skipping songs. I never got past a quarter of any song and it skips to the next by itself. I also found with TIDAL the app can only stream and won’t access the music I downloaded. I found this very annoying since I now can only listen to my iTunes musics with less sound quality. Can anyone help me on this?

No timer, no better.. There used to be a timer which was great for going to sleep with but now I can’t find it anywhere. This version isn’t an improvement, the previous version was better and easier to use. It confounds me why there always has to be another “bigger, better” version. If it already works and works well, why muck around with it? To be honest it’s rare to see a new version of something that is better than the old one. Take another look at your design.

Great Music Player. This app is a great music player, which can compete with many other great music players, though I think the visualizer seems kind of laggy/choppy, maybe having some more options for the visualizer (eg. sensivity, fps), either ways, I've been liking the free experience.

Why doesn’t has volume. On the iPod it doesn’t have volume settings but on Mac it does that not fair. This would be a fantastic app if it had the volume control

Laggy, spamy, full of pop ups. Every time i open this app, either it is frozen, slow, buggy, or some pop up comes asking to update or buy their radio subscription.

Dreadfully slow. The app takes forever to load anything from Tidal so is incredibly frustrating and usually ends in closing the app to use Tidal directly. Another app that doesn’t live up to expectations, even if they are fairly low to start with

Constantly crashes. Great sound when it is working but ever other time I open the app it says it’s playing though there’s no sound and nothing is moving. I wouldn’t normally complain but I’m using the paid version and the sound really is good when it happens to be working. Can you fix this bug?

How about being up front with the limitations of your product. What a terrific app. Why would you think most people would download this app? Maybe to listen to songs in their Apple music library? Do you think? So “boom effects” can’t be used on iTunes music. Brilliant piece of after sales advice there. Well done. So what you are actually selling is a crappy music library organiser and only a “boom” equaliser for anyone who still can be fagged to buy cds and import them into iTunes? And I’m 53 years old and think that’s pretty dumb. Brilliant work

Its great. Im not even joking out of all the bass booster apps this has got to be the best its free and it makes everything so much louder and you can change bass intensity and pre amp so its pretty sick def good for rave would recommend getting this dont get any other apps

Top app. What a difference it make to your music with this app

Bass with boom. By far one of the better quality music playing apps...Easy to use interface with a very notable change in audio quality

EASY. Great sound enhancement... picks up where iPhone runs out of steam.

Darn. Man your iq is lownto think I will buy premium, and you're not actually thinking a 4 yr old would have the money to buy premium,I am a nine year old who is the smarted in my class, so I do not recommend to download

Add Amazon Music. This is an an amazing app, the only problem I seem to have is that it doesn’t have an option to link your Amazon Music playlists. If you add that then this app would be the absolute best of the best!

Um-. I don’t hear anything change with the music and there is definitely no “boom”. It doesn’t even work on Apple Music..

Misleading. I would like a full refund. The product is useless with my music.

I liked the app. I used to like the app, I could use my Spotify to connect and listen to music, now when I returned to the app, Spotify wasn't an option and I couldn't search anything within Boom. I was disappointed to see this change and I hope the Spotify option will return soon. - Blizzy

Love it!!! But a couple things. This is making my music sound awesome!!! But would like to be able to link with SoundCloud too. Also I turned on the cross fade and it doesn’t work

Not worth the money, very sad I bought it!. It used to support more services, but now it hardly supports any apps so it's basically become useless. Oh well, there's $40 thrown in the garbage. Tried to get a refund from Apple, but nope (Apple doesn't like trials or refunds, so yeah...). I'd say hard pass!

Where’s my Full Subscription?. I used to use this app 5 years ago, and I bought the lifetime listening pass. Then y’all changed the subscriptions and I lost my subscription. Do I really have to pay $40 for the lifetime subscription again?

Works really well for Spotify. Super happy that it actually lets you use it for free and even though it prompts you to pay for a subscription, it doesn’t literally force you to buy one like the 30 other apps of this style I tried. I’ve been using it for a few days now and think it’s great! The only complaint I have is that the static in the background of a song is MUCH more noticeable, to the point I can constantly hear it for every song I listen to.

???. Even tho I have paid for this application I'm still getting advertising posts. Unpleasant.

Why add different music options?. Why add different music options if your not even able to access the music on those platforms? It basically makes the app useless if I'm going to be honest here

Needs improvement. I would like to see that the The speaker on the SURROUND settings to be ADJUSTABLE on each speakers.. like, I want the front 2 speakers to be a little lower on my likings...

More Spotify Compatibility. This is a really good app but it needs more compatible features, especially with spotify. You should be able to download your spotify music library onto the app for better offline usage. Other than that the app is really good

add. can u add compatibility for soundcloud and youtube music

actual (satisfied) customer.. When I first opened up Boom app I was genuinely impressed by its presention. And with good reason...Bass never rattles: remains punchy, and if you purchase your music, playback is 100%, no restrictions. Best app in its class, and best BANG for your buck, too.

Crashes often - but really nice equalizer- need a crossover fade. I just purchased this app, it worked fine until I hit about 60 songs added to it. After it crashed and removed all the album corners on each song. Then it didn’t want to reload the next day. Needs improvement but sounds really good. Keep updating guys!!! Hopefully you can fixes these suggestions…needs crossover fader in the playlist area.

Spotify?. I used this app for Spotify a bit while back and got a 1 year subscription downloaded the app today and Spotify is gone what do I do with the subscription I bought

Great Sound !!. I try to transfer music that I have on my phone through the files app but there is no Boom folder I can only do it through the boom music only one file at the time and instead of file names I get a bunch of numbers is there a solution for this Thank you !!!!!!

WTF. This app is great but it be cool if u guys could also have features with amazon music

Enjoyed it but after the recent update it doesn’t work. I’ve been using this app for a little over a year now. I liked it, but after the recent update. I can’t open the app every time I synced my tracks from Apple Music. It works when I don’t allow the app to sync my Apple Music, but every time I sync it the app would close and I can’t open it until I desync my Apple Music from the app. I will reconsider giving this app a better review. If they fix this problem.

Spotify doesn’t work. I had this app for my iPhone 11 Pro 3 years ago and Spotify worked and now it no longer works as I no longer have that iPhone 11 Pro. I use my iPad and my iPhone XR and Spotify does not work. It doesn’t show up on the left side like iTunes. Disappointing…

This APP Is The Perfect Listening Experience. I’m a musician & composer, & I’m VERY meticulous how my music sounds well listening. I found this APP in 2015, & Since I re-formatted every song to 192.000KHz in my Music Library now in 2021, hearing it in Apple Music sounds Pristine, but with Boom & all its glory like Full Bass, Intensity, 3D Surround etc, it takes Studio Quality Songs to another universe! To: BOOM CEO, App Developers & Staff, PLEASE take this suggestion & implement it. The icing on the cake that would complete this APP is adding a Pitch Shift Option either beside the BOOM logo, or the Equalizer logo. I use pitch shift a lot, & I’m sure some others as well, & it gets annoying having to switch apps when needing to use pitch shift. I’m VERY positive I saw the Pitch Shift Feature in the Mac version.

UI needs work. Great app when it comes to 3d audio but UI needs work.

Boom. How do you get the effects pack because I have 1 year premium subscription can you still get all the new packs with subscription or do you have to cancel the subscription in order to the packs

Good but. It’s very good app you do notice the sound difference. BUT dose not support Spotify

Bueno. Lo malo es que no funciona con Apple Music ☹️

👍👍. it would be better if it does not pause in between each songs! it also happens with cross fade support!

Great. This is a good App to listen to music

No music - just ads. Horrible app. Every time I use the app it stops my music playback and makes me LISTEN to and WATCH video ads blasting in my ears. The music organization is also awful: want to listen to your favourite artist? Can’t - you can only listen to random songs by said artist. To listen to an album you have to back out and go to albums then search for the album name and then play it - in between all the loud ads and videos. Unbelievable. I would never pay for the premium app when they force ads through your music to coerce you into getting the paid version. Terrible.

Unreliable... and buggy. Found this app to be buggy and unreliable a lot of the time. The EQ is great, the best I’ve heard so far so no complaints there. Sometimes the songs just freeze halfway and when I go and close the app and re open it and click play it just starts skipping through all the music I have and then gives me the 10 song limit. Makes me very mad, I feel like the developers put that glitch there on purpose to make people pay for the premium with no song limit. Also, as the developer said in another persons comment about google drive allowing for offline playback... no! I can’t even listen offline after downloading the music because it doesn’t show a song list it just says “check your connection” meaning I can’t listen offline even after downloading all the google drive music I have.

So much potential. Seems super cool but can't use with Apple Music so there's no point

Only works with wifi. 7 days trial trash

Not free. Free to download, monthly fee to use.

Hmmmm. Tellement de jug la plupart du temps la playlist arrête de jouer et obliger de repartir l’application et même des fois les playlist embarque pas dans Boom

Update is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Ability to change pitch, speed, make it wet or dry?! Lol! Can really customize the song based on your mood 🙌🫶

System Wide. Would have gotten 5stars if it was System Wide like Boom2 for the Mac I’m not a Spotify listener mostly SiriusXM

Good app, but popping sound with tidal. Good app, but keep earring popping when listening to tidal on iPhone. Also, mixer good but it lack a precise sound control.

The best on the App Store. Pretty good app with a lot of customization but only cons are that there’s only one audio effect and Spotify is the only app that it works with and they don’t update enough it’s been the same for a while.

Not compatible. Had this for a couple of years and enjoyed-it with my collection of music. Now that I recently subscribed to Amazon Music HD, I see it is not supported. So I will be unsubscribing until they are offering this with Amazon HD. Is there any update as to when it could be available?

Does not work with Apple Music. This app does not work with Apple Music.

Ig. It’s not terrible. I wish it would be compatible with Apple Music - the whole reason I downloaded it - however I do like how it sorta my music into genre. Some songs are out in completely wrong genres though. Could use some work :)

I really enjoy it. I always struggle with lower music but now i can bring the volume up way more and it helps me cope ^*^

Amazing! Well done.. I just got introduced to your app. I’m a sound engineer and an audiophile. This is an amazing breakthrough app. I hope you get more platforms to support what you are doing. My headphone listening experience just skyrocketed. 👌🏼✌🏼

Unbelievable. Who ever did the update that includes reverb options. You guys are the people in the world. This option is exactly what i need for my music. Because I’m that person who wants specific sounds for while listening music. I thought I will nit experience it in Boom. Kudos to y’all

LOVE IT. This app is awsome 100 percent would recommend this app its free and not a scam

Spotify Equalizer provides better, clearer sound. I bought this thinking it would improve my Spotify sound on my iPhone as it does on my MacBookPro but I was somewhat disappointed when I started using it on the iPhone and realized the equalizer on the Spotify app produces better sound than this app.

return my money. I paid Lifetime for an app that gave me access to Apple Music and Spotify, now nothing. really disappointing to find developers who take your money and then just apologize for their incompetence

Boooom. I love this app it’s sooooo good thank u for making this app keep up the good work

Doesn’t work?. I just installed it, and it tried to get me to pay right away, so I tried to get the free trial but every time it pops up it just freezes and the app is impossible to use

Doesn’t work with IPhones.. Refuses to play music...crashes the second you try to play it....it’s not my phone....I have an 11 Pro that works just fine. You need to fix your app before you continue charging your customers.

Please read developers!!!. I love the app! Honestly it’s how music is supposed to be listened to. And exceeded all expectations! But there is one thing I would like fixed, I have one album in particular where this is a noticeable problem! And that is Quadrophenia, since most of the songs are meant to bleed into each other, the pause in between songs seems to almost ruin the atmosphere, now I am a music freak, and I’m being very nit picky, I know, but if you could possibly eliminate the pause, this would easily be one of the best music apps I’ve ever used!

Seems like a really nice one, but lets me down with every use.. Found this with a good user rating but on iPhone 11: (1) when tap play inside this player it shoots out a burst of the musical track and fades away slower than it appeared, all lasting most portion of a second, like hitting on a brass, making short but loud and disturbing metallic sound that scares a living day out of me each time; (2) when simply switch between the music players, such as Dropbox's, it stops playing the track (not pauses). Boom's technical and interface idea, however, is positively appreciated.

3.5 stars! Great sound…but. As a music player, BOOM has a long way to go before it can rival other apps. I wish they would make it a little more user friendly when it comes to making playlists and organizing your music. Making a playlist from stored music is EXTREMELY tedious. You have to add one…song…at…a…time manually. The help files and knowledge base are incredibly limited for an app that has been around this long. Still. It DOES sound good.

A necessary app!. If you’re trying to get sound tuned just right for your speakers/headphones/buds, Boom goes a long way toward helping you. The simulated surround and low-end boost are unique among the equalizer apps I’ve used over the year. Right now, I’m listening to “Odyssey” from Dixie Dregs’ _What If_ album through Boom on my Bose phones and I can hear everything without the muddy middle dominating the sound. Solid 5-star work.

Songs will not shuffle in a Playlist. This is my favorite app to listen to music at night with my headphones on. I don't know what happened but after I did an update. I can no longer listen to the Playlist I created and have the music shuffle to the next song! I have to manually start it! Anyone know a fix for this I have tried everything from a red install to creating a new Playlist. Please get this fixed Boon..Ty

Could easily be 5 stars. The Boom music app brought my truck’s stereo to life. The Apple music app makes everything sound flat with no depth to the bass at all. Boom makes my music dynamic, again. Lost a star because there is not a repeat option on the music. When I get to the end of my playlist, I have to go into my phone and restart the music from the beginning instead of this being done automatically. Since I only listen to my music while driving, this presents a hazard.

BOOM - All you need for immersive sound. I bought Boom for my MacBook several years ago, have upgraded through the years and have been very satisfied. Recently I purchased a new iPhone and was not happy with the available iOS EQ. I was pleasantly surprised to find my a Boom version for iOS. Forget the detractors and negative reviews. I’m a 50 year old guy who loves all kinds of Music. Boom definitely delivers to this “Boomer” - Thank You ! 🤣😎🤔

Great sound, but not global. These folks have done a great job. The spatial quality of the sound and the expansive equalizer capability are both great. The only problem is that you can only use it with certain music players and not others. And you can’t use it at all to boost sounds in movies. If this were global (able to process ALL sounds going to the speakers) it would be a true game changer. And I understand that might not be possible. But it should be.

Issues. First, the app is not free. Needs to be unlocked after download but has a seven day free trial. Second, it's really hard to get a better sound without getting some distortion. Not recommended for people looking for serious sound improvement but it's definitely a cool novelty. Has a cool "3d" sound effect you can turn on and off. Also 18 band eq is way too much. Written with a lot of criticism but this is actually a very cool app. Just needs more development.

AMAZING at first but what happened now. I like how affordable it as if only 7 dollars for 6 months compared to other apps at 7$ a moth/ week haven’t got premium but I’m gonna eventually buy it , keep up the amazing work, only down side is that some songs are copyright protected but it’s alright, (1 week later)uh why is there ads In the middle of music sometimes it scares me cuz I’m playing at full volume but it’s not to loud because of my equalizer but the. The ad comes and hurt my ears

Great on iPad Pro. Most apps are formatted for phones only. This app actually works well on my iPad. I've had it for a few years now. Never had any issues. I see some reviews talking about a problem after each update, but I guess that's a phone-specific thing since I haven't experienced it.

Missing music downloads. I have had BOOM since the original app came out. It started out amazing, but with every update I seem to either have crash issues or currently I cannot use music that was purchased through my iTunes account. I notice many songs missing and when I went back to my iTunes, I was amazed to see it’s there, but for some reason BOOM will not allow it to be played. It’s not like it’s even recent music being removed. It’s selective and doesn’t make sense why some songs are visible to play on BOOM and some are not.

Almost perfect. i have only one problem with this app. why this app doesn’t support FLAC format? i listen to my 90% of songs in FLAC. But this app doesn’t play FLAC audios. That’s a huge minus. I will give 5 star once it starts to support FLAC audio. However i can play FLAC audio from Online Drives (Google drive, etc ) but when i manually put a song from Mac or open a file from Boom app or doesn’t play the song. That’s very disappointing. Hope this will be fixed soon.

Good app. I don’t usually write reviews but it’s safe to say this app does exactly what it says it does. Appreciate the straightforward approach and the simple UI. As a musician this app makes listening to mixes a lot more enjoyable. I don’t got the premium but ten songs was all I needed for my head to feel like it was about to explode. Keep up the good work devs!

Amazing. So I don’t think I’ve ever written a review before... but this app is amazing. It only works on songs that you have and have downloaded to iTunes and then put on your phone but I have over 20GB of songs that I had done that to before Apple Music and buying songs on iTunes became the norm. I must say it is truly amazing the difference in the sound coming through this app.

Boom Boom Boom!. Brilliant music enhancing app! I bought Boom 3D for my Mac and I can tell you that it makes a huge difference. Worth the 13 dollars. I highly recommend it. I rarely use listen to music on my iPhone so didn't purchase it but if you listen to music a lot on your device get it!!! I wish that trial would have lasted longer, I highly recommend it for those who know their music.

New Update December 19th 2019. I’ve been using Boom for a while now. I loved how seemless it was to make my music sound so much better and how much customization was at my disposal. However, with the new UI update, the app that i’ve loved for so long is now a buggy mess. I cant switch the position of my created eq profiles, when trying to delete an eq profile the app crashes completely, and to select a song i want to play I have to press above it instead of on it because for some reason it’s registering my touch in the wrong place. I would appreciate it if you guys addressed these issues and keep up the great work!

Best app that you never knew about until now. I love this app! I can actually hear the minuscule things in songs like the sound of the guitarist’s pick striking each note and the symbols are so much more clear from the drums. This app is like plugging into a home theater system and cranking your music. My only complaint is the way it organizes my music library and some of the controls. Overall I give this app 5 stars for the ability to control the eq and the ambience of the reverb it adds.

Great App, but iffy support. Everything was working great other than constantly being asked to restore my purchase. All of a sudden Boom stopped recognizing the music I’d download from the iTunes Store to my iPhone. Never had a problem and then no new purchases would show up. Reached out to support with a very detailed message and didn’t hear back for days. They asked a question, which I answered, and it’s been several days with no response. Very frustrating given the fact I think this is one of my best apps.

Awesome!!. Been using this app for 4 years, and i have to say the sound is so amazing. Especially when u play utube videos. Just amazing. 1 question, i have this app on iphone too. On my list of music, how do i delete a song? Sometimes i buy a song, but dont want it on my play list. Thank you for your time. Woowoo!

AMAZING!!. This app is amazing! And it is hard for me to even want to rate an app much less give it 5 stars coupled with a 16 band graphic equalizer ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has fed my audiophile appetite in years. And to say my iPhone is coupled with a $10 Bluetooth amplifier which is linked to a couple of Bose 100watt bookshelf speakers… I don’t know what else I can say I had started once to throw the speakers away,……. I am so glad I didn’t

Song limits and plug-in. Hey, I did a song limit of five songs, I was, there was an option to watch an advertisement, and then you listen to one quadrillion songs as the limit, then, after the limit, another advertisement pops up, and then Google works of songs will be the limit, then, after that, a limit pops up, and then a shucks notification that will make it say shucks explanation mode. Nothing left. And we should add in your research plug-in. That seems like work inside. Where is the band in the free version of it, and even the premium version in time flow a Bowman songs created.

Very good, powerful equalizer. I'm finding myself using this app more often. I just hope they have more access to some podcasts that do not show up, especially ones that are related to NPR stations. Occasionally some podcasts will crash before finishing. It also be nice for the app to remember it's place time wise on playing in order to continue my listening were I left off, even after re-opening the app.

Best of the EQ/music player/audio enhancers. I’ve been using Boom and Boom 2 for a long time now. I spend a lot of time mixing and producing music and have a pretty high bar set for expectations when it comes to adding fidelity to compressed MP3 files. There have been some decent apps for helping improve the sound quality of MP3 files but nothing really comes close to Boom. Occasionally some tracks hit a bit too hard but rolling off the Boom effect cleans it up nicely. Amazing improvement to all my audio files!

Perfect but there’s 1 thing. I paid the 3 dollars for the upgrade, definitely worth it if you love the sound quality. This app is perfect, but it crashes wayyy too much. I don’t know why, maybe it’s just me. I figured that turning off the visualizer really helps with the crashing, but still happen at least 2 times a day. This app is my go to, I just wished the crashing would go away🙁 other than that, it’s great, buy it!!🔥

Good EQ but buggy with NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. The EQ effects are really nice but I wish we could also use this app with soundcloud. Additionally, when I am playing a song, at random times the song will just restart which is extremely annoying. I purchased a subscription before I noticed and am very disappointed that I am paying for a buggy app. EDIT: It’s been more than a week since the developers replied to my review telling me to send them an email about my issues. I did and still not have heard back from them. Seems like they don’t care enough to fix the issues of paying customers. It’s sad

It's great but I have some suggestions.... This app changed my way of listening to music quite a bit. It may add some echo to music but surprisingly it doesn't effect it negatively. Sug. 1: Ok. That circular music player thing needs to be changed or maybe we could have an option to change it to a basic line with the album artwork showing or if not maybe a visualizer if we want to take out the album art. Sug. 2: Could you possibly try to add a way to control our music from outside the app (I.e. Change track time, possible Notification Center widget, etc.) to make everything more accessible or something. Overall verdict: 9/10. This app is extremely well made but definitely could use some tweaks here and there. ~Suki

Great but slightly misleading. Have this app on my Mac and LOVE IT! So naturally I wanted it on my phone, where I listen to the majority of my music. There in lies the issue. Unless I’m blind and missed it, nowhere does it say you can’t use the app with your iTunes library, streaming or downloaded. So unless you want to download your music somewhere else or use one of their music channels (which aren’t bad btw) you’ll be out of luck.

Great but has its bugs.... This is my favorite mobile audio app because of the eq feature. But: - I wish that it didn't crash so frequently. This is the only app I have that crashes. - I wish that it was easier to import files containing audio clips into the boom music section. It would make it easy easier to listen to offline files. - It would be cool there was a way to save a current eq as a new one as well. That way I wouldn't have to manually enter each bands in again.

Very satisfied. I got this app a while ago after having been impressed with the boom app for Mac OS. While the audio gains for the mobile app aren’t as impressive as for the Mac OS, they are noticeable and welcome. The other reason for high marks is the degree to which the app has improved over time. Not necessarily in terms of its audio enhancing capabilities, but certainly in terms of its usability and feature set. This is not one of those apps that gets released and then is largely ignored by its developers. It’s shown steady improvement over time.

Great!. Audio exciter by aphex was great at first and then they didn't keep up on it and it turned into complete and utter crash junk! Boom however has taken my music enjoyment to the max with excellent enhancement features and seamless access to my music! It doesn't ever crash on me and they keep up on it. Just got an update for some bug fixes that I never ran into in the first place lol. Great sound in my car and headphones with great price! Well worth it!

Minor tweaks needed. It's a nice app. I have Boom 3D on my MacBook and it works well. The iPhone version is no different, but one noticeable issue is that when playing songs from the control center (swiping up from the bottom of the screen), the pause/unpause button sometimes needs to be clicked twice for the song to play. The time left for each song is also inaccurate. Other than that, Boom works as it should.

Can’t stop listening. Really enjoying this app. As a first time user I’m drawn to comparison listening, but every time I listen this one is quickly becoming my go-to music app. Aesthetically, I would like to see albums in grid view, hence the 4 instead of 5 stars. I purchased the annual premium, but if this is still primo and reasonably priced I may opt for the lifetime invest. Too bad about the Apple DRM, now that would be really sweet, but I have ample d/l’ed on my device so am content for now.

Found atechnical restriction and I didn't even use the app for 30 minutes. As a musician, one with think to get this app so they couldn't joy great sound quality and amazing articulations with instruments, but there is one problem that might stick out. It's not accessible to all users. For those of us who are blind or visually impaired, since the interface didn't work with voiceover at all. I had to turn off voiceover in order to get the app to work, and I ended up pushing a bunch of random buttons because of this. Please fix this issue so all music lovers can enjoy high-quality content. Thank you so much, and I hope you have a great day.

Awesome App. I had some issues with varying volumes. Support team was quick to respond and very helpful. Issue is with Tidal so I’m working with them now For the Boom team, once hearing the difference the app made and learning I couldn’t use the effects on iTunes music I quickly went to Tidal and cancelled the family iTunes account I had for many years. If you aren’t leveraging a sound bite like that with tour current partners and especially with iTunes, you should be.

I love this app. I truly love this app, but I needs to but upgraded I paid for the lifetime premium. Great price for $25 for the great sound it gives. Unfortunately it needs wayyyy more features to be “worth” the price I paid for this. I’m giving 4 stars because I am happy with it. I just don’t get very good signal on my commute to and from work just wish there was a offline option. Especially when you have to pay🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🥰

Please fix restore purchase. Well.. Kinda late for a review but I bought this app way back and i really loved it. But then i noticed that i couldnt use the EFFECTS when im offline and that i would have to get on just to 'restore' my purchase to be able to use the effects. Its just kinda hassle for me to keep having to do that over and over whenever i want to use the app. i really hope you could fix it. I just want to use the app like before. Kinda regretting ever updating it. Rip offline music

iPod Support fix.. I love this app! A few suggestions I would make are for a “Sound Check” feature and a fix for the iPod touch. The “Boom” settings get cut off because of the size of the screen and I can’t turn on/off “Boom” very easily. I also can’t turn on the album art moving circle thingy anymore or tap the “...” above the scroll bar because it’s all squeezing together. Other than those needed fixes, it’s awesome!

A quick review on my outlook of this app. In the past I used to use this app a lot, it has a vast variety of different EQ modes that help enhance the different genres of music. The 3D experience is by far one of the best features by far, it’s a very immersive experience. On the other hand there is one thing I really don’t like which is, the fact you have to pay for a subscription. I don’t really see why I’d have to pay to use this app after I bought it on my MacBook Pro

Mesmerizing. I paired this with my iPhone 7 with uncompressed files and a tritbit blue tooth headphones. I own a lot of sound gear including a few tube amps dacs etc. I love music and care about awesome sound quality and this gem of an app delivers. You have to play with the settings a bit to get what’s best for you but that was easy. And then... magic!! It’s a very intuitive app. Highly recommend it!!!

Bose QC 35 and IPhone 7. I just purchased a Bose QC35 and was astounded by the sound until I decided to DL, now buy this app. What a HUGE difference! It just made my Bose worth every penny and then some! I can really put this headphone to the test and it passes with flying colors in almost any setting! I can really feel the bass now (even though it's not made for bass) it actually is. I almost decided to return these for a headphones for more bass and a louder one! No need to now..

Try it for yourself.. I’ve been using Boom for awhile now, I don’t rush to rate an app, I like to try it out, see how it performs over a period of time and with a variety of music. My music tastes vary from Jazz (Count Basie, Spyro Gyra, Louis Armstrong) to Country (Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Montgomery Gentry) to Western (Chris LeDoux, Sons of the San Joaquin, Michael Martin Murphey) to Classic Rock (Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels, Blackberry Smoke, Whiskey Myers) to Christian Rock (Petra, Whitecross, DeGarmo & Key, Rez Band). I tried Boom with every genre, using a Philips Bluetooth speaker and my iPhone X. I then tried just ITunes and the Bluetooth speaker with the iPhone. What a difference. The music without Boom sounded flat with very little bass. Boom will be the first app I add to my next phone. Give it a try and see if you agree.

Crashes and subscription. I had time not using BOOM!. But now that I decided to use literally BOOM! When I bought it was so nice. Now there are crashes in my iPad Pro 11” and now I see the surprise but also an annual payment plus the amount I paid a lot of time ago. This type of surprises I don’t like. If you buy something one time is because you trust in that and not time after be fooled again and charged anual payments. This is as you find in the street a unsafe marketer and charge you what he wants when he wants just for the fact you buy him one time before. And with the bugs much worst.

Sounds great...but...MAKE USE OF CACHE!. Sounds really good. Can’t deny that at all. Don’t like your 3D positioning, sounds like reverb? ONE MAJOR ISSUE WITH THIS APP! It does NOT use Spotify’s cached/downloaded songs! Boom uses All of my data about 2 and a half weeks in...every single month. Every single time you play a song it has to “re-stream” or redownload ANY song. That is not cool. I’m doing this review just because of how bad this is. I have 5gb of 4g every month. I used to have 1-2gb left over every month now with boom it’s gone a little over 2 weeks...that’s how bad this is. Even if it’s on Automatic quality within settings it still uses all my data. So unacceptable. I bought this app for a yes after about a week of using it. Bad choice. YES it sounds good. YES it is definitely a better sound experience with boom with music...it always is, that’s why I’m still using it LoL But my god...fix the data issue. Shouldn’t be to hard to implement the use of Spotify’s cache?

Okay... not what I expected. I purchased the app to get better listening out of my new wireless headsets I purchased exclusively for workouts. The app help boost better sound quality on most songs. There are quite a few it will prohibit from enhancing stating it is blocked by Apple, which I find should have been revealed in the free trial. My main quorum is with its ability to work properly with my VW's Bluetooth connector. It malfunctions to affectively skip between songs. I wish I would have saved my money. I find it annoying to tap into two separate media players just to listen to music.

This app has a nice start. This app is pretty good with its great range of EQs 3D sound and look giving music a huge facelift when compared to the basic music app It does however have a few hiccups, the circular music player is not very fun to use and I would like for there to be an option to use a classic music player like what tuneshell uses . There is also the fact that the app crashes a little more then it should. Lastly I would love to see this app have two features music pitch setting and music speed settings . I usually like to have a little fun with my music and change the pitch or speed of certain songs but I usually have to go to another app, it would be really great to have this all in one app rather then having to switch between two apps If these things can be done then this truly would become the ultimate music app for me

I like that BOOM BOOM POW. BOOM on my iMac is a whole other level of amazing. Makes listening to music on my Mac awesome. On the iPhone it doesn't hold up as well mostly because the volume level is just too low. On my Mac I can pump it up. On my iPhone it doesn't have the same oomph sadly. I hope with future updates they'll be able to create that same amazing listening experience. Until then just three stars with room for improvement. My ears want to have that same experience I love on my desktop.

This is NOT a free app. It has a “trial period,” which will run out and not let you even have manual control of the equalizer. I understand if you want to sell me presets or effects, but the whole app becomes useless if you don’t pay. Furthermore, it’s a recurring fee you have to pay? WORST “free” app I’ve ever seen. To top it off, it doesn’t even work that great. In the time I had to test it, I had to drastically change the levels on frequencies to notice a change. I might have kept this app if it really did have a free version and didn’t employ deceitful practices. I would probably have even purchased some sound effects like the 3D surround sound. It’s too bad, you could’ve had me as a customer.

Great app, but fix the UI. I love Boom software. It’s been life changing on desktop. It works well on my iPhone XS Max, but the UI is TERRIBLE. 1. The notch causes issues in the corner in iOS 13. I can’t X out or hit continue. 2. There are too many controls that aren’t clear as to what they do. (Why is that handbag in the top left corner instead of buried in the settings?) 3. Music organization is even worse than Apple’s native app. Give an easier search function and alphabet grid like so many 3rd party apps. Make it simple simple simple.
