• You need to carry your phone with you, for Life Cycle to accurately record and interpret your activities.
• Wi-Fi should be enabled on your phone for tracking to work.

Pointless waste of data. I downloaded this app in conjunction with their alarm clock app. After about two weeks of using it, I found the data collected by the app pointless and if no real value. I was under the impression that with some of the data points collected, I would be able to identify problem areas in my time management. This was not the case, and I fond myself staring at a pie chart with a bunch of random useless numbers. The inability to properly categorized activities makes some of the data collected inaccurate, for example I am a rideshare driver, however the app lumps on my driving into one category transportation it doesn’t allow you to take into consideration what is ride share related or personal use. Overall I found this app a waste of money, data, and my personal time that I wasted trying to figure it out.

Really Awesome, Very Helpful for Me. I absolutely adore this app. I told a couple friends about it and they love it, too. Some people I’ve talked to think it’s creepy that I use an app that tracks my every move, but I’m the only one with access to this information and it doesn’t use my locations and activities to give me those “targeted ads” you see on Facebook and Google. I have a really bad memory, and for a long time it bothered me that I couldn’t remember what I did or where I went on a certain day. This app solves that problem for me and I honestly think it’s the most useful app I’ve ever had. Now I can easily access dates of Doctor’s appointments, weekend trips, events, and other things that are important for me to know. I like to add notes to describe what I did when I was at a certain location or doing a certain activity like hanging out with my friends - that way I can go back whenever I want and reminisce about a really fun night that I had, even if I’d forgotten about it.

Has potential. I enjoy the idea of this app. However it really needs the Apple Watch part be able to record activities. You could open it, select what activity you’re about to start and then have a stop watch essentially going while you started this “activity”. This would make it not only so I could easily track and figure out my day better but help me keep on task, if I look down at my watch with the ticker going I can remember what I’m doing. Would be even better if you could somehow map your house and you could mark what rooms are what do you can see how much time you spend in each room, and take advantage of the time you’re in that room to do more things within the time you spend there. Like if I was in the kitchen, maybe baking and it could help me remember to do the things I need to do while in that room - wash dishes, put dishes away, take recycles out and so on. This maybe far fetched but it would be a dream for me and I do think this app could some day be awesome. For now I just find it interesting to know about the activities it can track.

Kind of useless. I’ve been using the paid version for almost a year now. Yes it does track where you spend your time and that sort of peaked my curiosity when I first started using the app but after almost 11 months what does it really mean? I didn’t need an app to tell me most of my life is spent at work or commuting to and from work. Maybe if this info was surprising to someone maybe they could use it to make a positive change in their life but really it’s just kind of silly, especially when you are paying a premium. Anyway, I’m sure this info is being passed onto 3rd parties for whatever use to advertise stuff to us. Anyway the best advice is to save your cash, pay off some debts and get outside, enjoy life without tracking, breathe fresh air and spend time talking with someone instead of tracking useless data on your phone.

Potentially useful, definitely interesting, but needs more options to be worth premium fees. I highly recommend this app if you’re looking for a free chance to see snapshots of how your time is utilized on a large scale over time. I would like to see some more features incorporated to make this app truly great. Most importantly, I’d love to have the option of customizing which smaller activities will be rolled into commute/transportation activities. My ~1 hour at the the gym shouldn’t always get rolled in to my drive home from work. However, it makes perfect sense that stopping to pick the kids up from daycare or getting gas on the way is rolled in. I’d also like to see a larger selection of thumbnails for activities, as well as a total color palette option for activity icons. Conceptually, this is a great app, especially for being free. But, it needs some more polishing before I’ll purchase the premium service.

Some issues but support came through. UPDATE- I contacted support. They told me to enable significant locations (which I already had), then they had me delete and reinstall the app- but I had to upgrade to premium first so I didn’t lose all my info. Anyway; it worked and it’s now tracking my locations seamlessly again. Only 4 stars since I had to pay to make the app work (there is a free trial though, so that’s something.) ——— Like others have said, this app used to work beautifully. But it doesn’t seem to work at all with iOS 15. I’m so disappointed!! I’ve used the app since late 2017 and it was really excellent up until just recently. Now I’m looking for alternatives as it doesn’t look like any support or updates will be coming.

Incredible app, but flawed pricing. I use this app on a daily basis to help me track my time spent on activities in a week. There are 168 hours in a week, and by using this app, I can see how that time is allocated. In doing so, it helps me keep a balanced life, and I'm currently subscribed for the premium features. I love the structure and aesthetics of the app, and it's very user-friendly. However, it is absolutely ridiculous to require a $30 annual subscription from Sleep Cycle in order to access some of the sleep trend data charts. It's clearly unnecessary as the two options unavailable are "activities affecting your sleep quality" and "location effecting your sleep quality." Since Life Cycle continuously tracks your location & the sleep recorded by Sleep Cycle is synced, then there is absolutely no reason for the Sleep Cycle online backup subscription to be required. And how can Sleep Cycle selectively transfer data to Life Cycle by requiring online backup for some data, but not all data in the Life Cycle trends? I will gladly pay $10 a year for many years, but to quadruple that expense for access to two "additional" sleep trend data charts is ludicrous. I've recommended this app to several friends, but this limitation has really turned them away.

The app you didn’t even know you needed. I downloaded this app not really sure I would end up keeping it, but after trying it out, it’s super interesting. It logs all your locations and activities and makes sense of them. Then daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly, gives you insight on the locations and activities you’ve spent your time on. It’s cool to see that new restaurants and places you visit are automatically logged. I kept showing it off to my boyfriend every now and then until he finally made me download it to his phone too. I like how there is plenty to do without a premium subscription but premium does give you more specific insight and statistics which are cool. I almost always have a suggestion when reviewing apps but I really can’t think of one. They even have an Apple Watch app!

Organize your day!. This app has really helped me keep track of my daily life. I also like that you can take notes on the different categories on your donut. I gave it 4 stars because I would like to be able to classify the section with more than one activity. Example: I go to the gym, and I use my Apple Watch to track my cardio workouts. But at the end of the day I’ll checkout my day on the app and it has 2 different section for my gym workout. It would be awesome if I could classify the activity as the gym then maybe have a subcategory to specify the workout that was done. If this happens i will be happy to update my review to 5 stars because this app deserves it!

Work Great Assuming You Put in Work. I've used this app all across the world for years. It works great, assuming you take the time to double-check it. After you tell it the place and the activity, it will believe that's what you are doing every time you go to that area. Sometimes you are doing something different in that same area, so you must change that entry. There is no way for your phone to know that you are doing something different. Also, keep your locations generic. For example, when you go to the airport, don’t track every gate. Just label the entry airport. Over time this creates a better tracking experience.

Sudden issue. I’ve been using this app for a few months, and then out of the blue earlier this week, it stopped tracking my location. I went into my settings and checked, and it still showed that my location was enabled. I tried deleting and redownloading and it did it again. I’ve tried one more time, but every time I open it while it syncs with my life, it pops up saying that it needs to have the location services changed. I really want it to work because no other app does what I like that this one does, but if I can’t get this fixed, I’ll be forced to leave an even worse review. EDIT: after waiting and waiting for it find my location and restarting the initial location-finding many times, I’m giving up on it, at least for now. I throughly loved this app, and will be attempting it again in the future, but for now, given the fact that it seems to no longer be able to track my location for NO REASON, I’m being forced off out of frustration. Please update and fix.

Could really use some improvements. Usually during the day I leave my house more than once. One time at 7:00 AM to go to school, and another at 5:30 to go to rehearsal for my schools show that we’re working on. (Which is also held at the school) For one thing, when I go to school for 7 hrs the app does great and tells me exactly how long I was at school, but when I go to school again later that day, it just adds it to the current 7 hrs I already had instead of having it separately. Also leaving the house to go to school at 5:00, that’s when the app thinks I’m going to school for an actual day rather than rehearsal, so the app will say “you left at 7:03 today, which is earlier than your usual 5:00 PM. So basically just a few minor defects that kind of get in the way so if you could look into it that would be great, thanks! :)

Works okay but not as expected. It tracks time and location, but of course it relies on you to tell it what you’re doing at each time and location. The ads lead you to think this app learns your habits, but really it’s just relying on you to tell it everything you’re doing on a regular basis. I have used it over a week and I do not see how it will be helpful yet. I was hoping it would have a more intelligent algorithm for behaviors but it is pretty plain overall. It shows that I had 8-14 hrs at home daily, but has no clue as to what I was doing during that time. So that is about half of my time overall where there is really no data to analyze or gain any insight from. It just says I spent 75 hrs at home this week. The travel part is potentially the most helpful as it tells me my time on the road but doesn’t tell me how many miles of course. It’s not for the business consumer I do not think. More for the curious person with some time to spare. IMO

Update problems. The app was wonderful—I could see how long I spent at work, all the places I’d been (doubly helpful with COVID)….and then I updated my iOS. Now it registers maybe half of the places I visit, and it often gets “stuck” on a place, e.g., thinks I’m still at a friend’s house hours after I’ve left. It knows I’ve gone places though, as the time stamps are correct when I add something manually (it knows I was somewhere from distinct from 6:34-9:08). The fixes (turn the phone off/on and disable/reenable location tracking) generally don’t do anything, and there are no other recommended fixes. Additionally, there have been no updates to the app in a year, which suggests this issue won’t be fixed soon. I don’t pay for it, but I am still highly tempted to delete it due to the constant frustration it causes.

Great alternate use for people who work on-site!. This app initially intrigued me for its intended purpose of visualizing where you spend your time, but I quickly fell in love with it for another reason. At the end of the day I can check this app to get a general idea of when I arrived at and left a client site if I neglected to otherwise write that down. I will also occasionally sweep back over a few days in the app checking locations and find a place where I had forgotten I needed to bill for a client visit. I’ve even gone back over a day reassembling my path from place to place to derive where I left a coat. Because of how I’ve come to use this app I wish there were a view that showed sequentially where you went in a given day, perhaps as an option to make the pie graph render like a wall clock instead of consolidating all instances of work and home together. Otherwise I love this app and happily did the in-app purchase thing since it has helped me recoup a ton of otherwise unaccounted billable time since I started using it last December.

Great but can still be improved. I love this app, I've been working two jobs over the summer and it's helped me keep track of how many hours I've been working and how much time I've spent driving or sitting at home. There are still a few areas that can be improved however. The weekly view would be way better if it updated each day instead of at the end of every week. The statistics can sometimes be really stupid, it'll tell me I've slept 6% more on a Sunday or something like that, who gives a crap about 6%? it's tiny. I think it would also be a good idea for there to be a map that shows your daily activities like the google maps timeline. Lastly I think it should track the routes you take each day. Update: After recent updates the weekly view now gets updated automatically, the statistics are much better, but I really think the map showing your activities would be a really good idea. I also think that the donut should be more like a timeline, in order, rather than chunks of different activities throughout your day.

Could be stunning. Update: I should’ve confessed by now something LifeCycle has been telling me for years- either I waste a lot of time, take my time or am just slow. Challenge yourself to find out what you’ve been hiding from yourself. ——————— ——————— ——————— ——————— ——————— I know I reviewed this before and always with the same comments. It's great, even when we don't go anywhere- I sometimes grab a screenshot or photo to mark a transition from one activity to another and add so many in manually later. There's not enough resolution to know from my Nia, Yoga or swimming in the same complex. I wouldn't expect it, don't know why other reviewers did and why they dropped 🌟 because of it. 🙄 My only (only?) issues are the colors and icons. Why so few? I've re-useds icons but they've often not been appropriate for any category. The same goes for the colors; the dreary, dreary colors. A color wheel could make us happy and how thrilling it would be if you bought or designed as many icons as there are now! What if even half of those had the subtle, sneaky movement some of the original have? Imagine how amazing your app would be!

The cycle of my life in a day👍🏼👍🏼. How can I put it? I like it!!!😊👍🏼. If it doesn't know where you went it let's you put that place in with the color you pick and post of shapes like weights if you where exercising some place it could place in. This help me know how long it take me to go to work and back home and how long it is as I'm at work. You guy's that put this App. together I like a lot!!!😊😊😊😊😊I say anything more then I enjoy this App.!!😉👍🏼😉👍🏼what can I say I just think it's the "BEST APP. OUT!!" If any one wants to know how long it take them to get from point A to point B in a time frame on this day it helps! Get it helps!!🏆 All I can say again is this App. RULES!!!😉😃👏🏼👏🏼

I don’t get it? Also almost all data is totally wrong.. I’ve used this app for several weeks now in conjunction with Sleep Cycle (which I’ve used off and on since 2009 and which has only gotten worse and worse with each “improvement”) and I still don’t understand what I’m supposed to get out of this. I have to manually add or correct almost every activity which is tedious and time consuming. It gets basically every location and amount of time spent there wrong, and somehow despite being linked with Sleep Cycle which I’ve been using every day along with this, it has totally different info about time spent sleeping. This last week it said my average time spent sleeping was more than any individual day in Sleep Cycle (and about three times as much as I actually slept on average. Now that it is finally giving me trends they’re extremely simplistic and uninteresting. Even worse, the much touted journal feature has an extremely short character limit that renders it essentially useless. I know I’m kind of wordy but there wasn’t a single event that I could even fully describe, let alone reflect on. Give this one a hard pass, it’s a total waste of time (and a lot of time, at that).

Simply the best time tracking. Such a great. So many time tracking apps are focused solely on what you’re doing, and force you to manually tell it what you’re doing and when. That doesn’t feel like time tracking at all. That feels like time waisting. This app does something pretty obvious, and it does it so well. It tracks your time based on location. You’re at work, that must mean you’re doing work, you’re driving somewhere that must mean you’re driving in a car. It makes assumptions for you based on what you do at different locations. If you work from home one day, just go in and tap the plus icon to change that home time to worked time. I’m sure they’re people who need to track projects and tasks at a much more micro level. But for me, getting info such as I normally eat lunch at a certain time on Tuesdays or the last time I was at a friends house or even that I got less sleep than I normally do is such a great value for money. I love that this app lets me look back easily on what I did and when I did it with very little work or effort. Great app that offers incredible insights.

Fun While it Lasted. Do not make a mistake when editing an activity or location! It may change your entire history. Searching Help for this issue is futile. I work from home, so I have to manually enter my work hours every workday. I tried to fix a location error because it thought I spent nearly two hours at a restaurant when the majority of that time was spent at a nearby gym, and it wouldn’t let me pick the gym location. One thing led to another, it snowballed, and now it looks like I worked over 2,000 hours last month! My entire history is wrong now. This app gave good insight and some motivation when it was correct, but it’s not worth the time and frustration fixing location/activity inaccuracies for the Premium subscription. I’m cancelling and researching other options.

I like it but.... It’s a dope app. It’s pretty good at tracking your day if your day is repetitive. As a over the road truck driver my day is far from repetitive, now the parts that are it logs effortlessly. Now to the but...so like when I stop at a truck stop and walk across the street to eat (breakfast, lunch, dinner) the tracker will not log the new entry. Now the app says it doesn’t log movement under 5 minutes (as to not log my every bathroom trip); but to stop and move as randomly as I do, I would imagine that the tracker would track this. If the truck stop has a place to eat and that’s where I’m staying the night, the process to log this information manually is setup for inaccurate logs. Now I’ve only been using for a month now maybe it hasn’t learned me enough yet to log in this fashion. Outside of that though I really like this app!!!

This app does not track activities, only locations.. I don't think the makers of this app are intentionally trying to misrepresent it but it does not track activities. It only keeps track of locations and the amount of time you spent at them. And those locations need to be too distant from each other for this app to be useful to those of us who work at home. My office and studio are about 20' from each other and not far from my bedroom and kitchen. You would hope this app could identify those locations, maybe from Apple Watch arm motion patterns, and differentiate desk work from studio or house work. But nope. It lumps my entire day together as being "home". The app also doesn't show how much time I spend using different apps such on my phone or let me designate which apps are for business, creative work, communications or leisure, let alone that it doesn't do similar by accessing such data from my use of my Macs. To sum up: this app is no use at all unless your different activities are in different locations that are sufficiently far apart. It's a waste of time to even download it if you work at home and the developers should have made that clear. It is activity categorization appears entirely location-based. This is also a very low resolution location tracker that's unable to differentiate locations anywhere near as precisely as Maps. If 2 locations in my home are 90’ apart it still doesn’t notice I’m not in the same place. It is NOT an activity monitor as claimed.

Great App But Could Use Some Improvements!. I mostly use it to keep track of my time spent doing things because I have a terrible memory, and it works really well... For the most part. I have spotty reception at my work and it’s also a fairly large facility, so often times my tracked work day times will be a mess that I have to fix manually almost every day. I understand that this is mostly reception and gps, and the fact there’s no wifi there, but perhaps if I could just set a large area to be “Work” and whenever I’m there it just sets it as that. Also sometimes it completely ignores commutes to work or home, sometimes just adding to my “work” or under “transportation.” I can’t directly change or add commute times either, which is a pain. Overall a solid app, would definitely recommend to anyone looking to keep track of their day to day business. Ps I have to agree with another review that the pricing is a little on the high side for what it is!

Tracks location & activity history Before begin!. First, the app wouldn't even let me use it if I chose the location services off option, Even though it asked me if I wanted to do that! I decided to enable it to see if it would work then, and it did. But then after I logged in with my Apple password, it did this creepy thing. It said it was getting to know me by looking at my location and activity history. I'm not sure what activities it's talking about, unless it means the places I'm going, according to Google. I thought I had turned that off for Google too though. This Would be an awesome app, if it would just let me log what I want, then it create graphs for me. That's entirely within their ability of course, but I highly suspect what they're doing is selling peoples' data. After all, it's not like Apple can check to see if apps are telling the truth about that. Even worse, is I would eventually be Paying them to access my Personal data. Just not worth it. I can't find a good app for what I want, and I've looked and tested a Lot. I've been considering just doing the old fashion thing of using graph paper to see trends, especially because you can see Much more at a time. There are certainly ways that would be better. I just like the convenience of an app on my phone, since it's nearby, and I won't lose it. However, I've been getting better about keeping up with my papers:), and I can after all put them in my pocket with a pencil:).

Needs Better Customization. I drive a lot for work. I might make 20+ stops in a small area daily. Since we can’t choose a customized zone on the map to label for an activity, I have to change multiple “mystery activities” to show as “work”. I don’t feel like tediously going to each day in the app, manually picking each mystery activity, changing it to “work,” then going back out and repeating it a bunch of times. This lack of control makes this app halfway-useless for me since I can’t accurately tell how much of my day, week, or month is actually spent driving around for work. This app might be fantastic for people with “normal” jobs where they drive to one building each day, but for anyone on-the-go, it takes a ton of time to feed the app info to make it relevant.

Frustrating experience. I love Sleep Cycle so I hoped for a similar experience with this app. It did not happen. First, I work from home. This app does not properly calculate nor let you edit work time vs non work time. It doesn’t learn. When you try to edit, the app insists on not saving changes. I’ve spent too much time making the SAME edit to the SAME day but the app refuses to save/accept the changes. Sometimes, deleting the entire day and manually entering my activities is successful. But that defeats the purpose of paying a subscription for an app that is supposed to do this for me. It’s also nearly impossible to subtract my ‘lunch’ time from my ‘work’ time. So the data isn’t correct. I would have given this feedback directly to the developer but their support link does not work. The subscription is WAY too expensive for a service that doesn’t perform its basic function. The experience with this app could not be more different than that of Sleep Cycle.

Great app but..... I love this app a lot, but there are some small things that just keep adding up. For example when I do something between my “work” (school) and home, I want that activity to be its own activity, not a part of the “commute to home” I live really close to my school so this function serves me no purpose other than to bother me. I can’t even remove the “commute to home” because it’s a built in activity. Another thing is that I have a lot of activities I’ve done in the 2 years I’ve used this app, so when I go to manually track an activity I have to scroll through a massive amount of activities silently muttering the alphabet just to see if I’ve already made that activity before. I with there was a search feature for activities and I wish there was a way to remove the “commute to home”

Good app, but adding integration with Apple automation would make it fantastic. I’ve been using for an entire year now and consider it indispensable. I’ve setup categories to track my project work, use my iWatch fitness app to track different workouts, use the notes to annotate places I visit. The downside with the app has to do with the lack of integration with iPhone automation. There is no way to use automation to quickly log an Activity from my Home screen shortcut. Also, there is no easy way to automate filtering activities for a day and then say copy to the clipboard to create a status email. So, to get 5 stars, automation is a must criteria. One minor pet peeve, with COVID-19 and having to stay home, it’s very annoying to see the message that my location hasn’t changed. Duh! I’m staying home. Please have an option to disable the warnings!

Not great for a home office. I work in property management out of a home office. Using the app was interesting at first so I subscribed to the premium version. I work & eat much of the time at the same place I sleep & watch TV. Eventually I got tired of making corrections. For example, if you go to a new place it will show in your “daily donut” as a space with a question mark. Since I work from home, it would show me working or sleeping 16 hours a day, for example. If I changed the start & end times to show an 8 hour work day, it would be nice if the other 8 eight hours would automatically show up as a space with a question mark. Instead, I have to go through the gyrations of adding an 8 hour event for sleep. Otherwise I have a 16 hour day! Not worth the trouble.

iOS 13.1.2 Location Services Stopped Working. Upgraded to iOS 13.1.2 on Saturday and location services have stopped working suddenly. I had 4 months of great data and now no data for three days and counting. Please fix it! Other than this bug, been enjoying the app and keeping track of how I spend my time. Love that it is connected to the Ten Percent meditation app and health data so it automatically logs my meditation sessions. It also does a good job of logging my workouts, sleep, and time at office. Wish they’d design it where you can create a new activity and set the duration by clicking a button that says five or ten minutes instead of having to set the end time. I end up spending too much time trying to log my many ten minute book reading breaks daily. Since I read in my office hallway or lounge area, it doesn’t auto log it because it thinks I’m just in the office.

Pretty good with some complaints. Does what it says but has a few bugs that I think should be ironed out. There are some activities you can’t delete and it’s kind of annoying. I don’t own a bike. I’m never going to cycle, so that option is just bloat to me. Things like lunch, flight, run, school are either activities I don’t choose to do or won’t. (If I’m running I’m being chased) I understand there’s probably a subroutine dedicated to detecting those activities which is why if they were deleted it would cause problems BUT I’d recommend they add a drop down of “recommended activities” to get around this so users can delete activities they don’t do. Just my 2 cents. If they do this I will change my review to 5 stars.

Feature request. I really like this app since it’s interesting to see where your time goes. One feature request I have to add ability to tag people inside activities. For example, I go to dinner with my friends. I want to be able to say who was at that dinner. And then see a breakdown of how much time I spend with a particular person if I tap their name. I currently create a category with a person’s name, but that doesn’t work if there’s multiple people at an activity. Basically, I not only want to see what and how much time I spend on activities, I also want to see who I am doing activities with and how much time I’m spending with individual people.

Excellent way to evaluate & rethink your time spent. I had begun using their other app, sleep cycle, shorty after acquiring my iWatch. Having recently changed careers, and entering a much more physically demanding field, I found myself short on a few things; most importantly TIME and SLEEP. While Sleep Cycle really helped me nail down a few problem areas in my night time habits, Life Cycle allowed me to see where I was spending most of my waking time, and plan out a better way about to help reign in my night time habits and, hopefully, gain a better night’s sleep because of it! It’s quite circular, and they help each other help me understand my habits. I used Sleep Cycle for about a week before purchasing the year subscription. I’m glad I was able to help fund a good developer, especially for something with genuine values. Also, while it’s not always 100% accurate (multitude of reasons, many or most of which are out of control of the devs) it’s a great tool for tracking time spent on different jobs or just overall hours worked that week. I don’t use it for billing, we’re a bit more stringent on that, but for calculating or guesstimating my weeks pay it works remarkably well also! Exceptionally useful app! Can’t wait to see what else is implemented into both Life and Sleep Cycle - as well as whatever they choose to launch next! Great job devs, these two apps are nearly essential for me anymore! -Steven H.

I beg you, make this IFTTT compatible!. Life cycle is astonishing, in every way it is precise, reliable to track how much time you've spent and where was it, giving you valuable insights on your routine, and even what you do out of it. The app does a stellar job at automatically tracking you're activities during the day, being it commuting to work, having lunch or just a walk around, it's pinpoint accurate. With that being said, I truly believe in all the potential this app still has to be explored, in terms of what we can make of the data it has. That is where the IFTTT integrations could be explored, while life cycle accounts for the data, IFTTT, could make actions based on them, like telling me that I can't stay for more than an hour at my lunch restaurant or telling my friends I am commuting to work, there are countless possibilities. I love your app and all the work you've put in to it can't keep track of how many times I've shown it around, thank you for reading this far on my review and suggestions(if anyone had) and have a nice day! Yours sincerely, A satisfied customer.

Love the app, but could use a little work. This app is great in that I am able to reference how much time I spend in certain places. It’s fairly intuitive in how it assumes the activity you are doing at a particular place, however the locations could be more accurate; I end up having to manually edit the the entry because it would get the location and activity wrong. Seems to be a wide proximity. Also, it misses a lot of quick stops I make, but would still like to have kept track of (even though it’s less than 5 min). A nice feature would be if it could tell you how many steps were taken for/at each activity/location. Overall a very useful app with the potential to be ideal (for my needs).

Getting frustrated. I’ve had the app for almost a year now, which I have enjoyed that is up until the last week & a half, the app isn’t working properly which is highly upsetting. There’s ZERO way to send issues through the support part of the app. I’ve gone through the steps given when things aren’t tracking, but now today it’s stating that I’m at my work location when I’ve very clearly been at my home location since 9:40 pm the night before!! Make it easier to reach out for help when issues occur like this. I should NOT have to remove & redownload the app in the hopes of it fixing this issue. It works fine one day & then the next day it’s back to the same issues!!!! PLEASE FIX WHATEVER IT IS THAT’S GOING ON, I truly want to enjoy using the app once again

iOS 15 Issue. I’ve been using this app for years and love it! Recently updated to iOS 15 and now it has all sorts of problem. It isn’t tracking much at all. I’ve restarted and flipped location on and off. I’ve done everything I could find to try and it just hasn’t helped. Rather frustrating! It has about 12 locations now for work and I only have one office. I can’t figure out how to delete the others. Hoping they get a fix soon but it looks like the last update was at least a year ago. Updated to drop my rating to 1 star. So disappointed! I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed using it until it stopped working. It has now had me in the same preliminary location for 3 days despite it being 300 miles away. I ‘be done everything that’s suggested to fix it short of deleting it. I have actually used the years of history in the past. I’ve also contacted support but got an ‘out of office’ reply. I’m searching for a new tracker now :(

Nice!. I’ve been using this app going on almost 3 full years (August will be the end of year 3), and I have to say it’s pretty legit! It’s not crazy fancy, and there aren’t so many bells and whistles that I don’t know what to do with it. It’s simple to understand, and once it gets your daily habits and rituals down it’s pretty self-sufficient. I don’t live an exciting life, so I don’t have to go in and update uncategorized locations very often, but even doing that is simple. All in all, if you’re interested in tracking where you go and what you do, and seeing your trends, I’d say get it! What can you lose? As a side note, I don’t have the sleep cycle app. I’ve used it, but I’m just bad at keeping a smart alarm set and/or near me, but I imagine using that could also be helpful for this app!

Even free it’s great. Don’t expect something it’s not. It just tracks your daily life. It is lovely. I get to see my commute times. What I do. Keep it nice and tidy. If I pay a small fee I can even see trends and historical data. One day? Two weeks? The data isn’t much. But one year? Two years? Five years? The amount of my own data I could use and see would be outstanding. Put it like this, anyone who tracks their steps, their sleep, or their workouts, anyone who has a smart watch that costs more than $60, anyone who has an Oura ring or similar, and anyone who tracks their daily calories in a food logging app, this app is for you. It has pretty numbers. I like pretty numbers.

What happened?. I’ve had this app since late 2016 and I’ve loved it. It’s great to see all sorts of trends and to keep track of my work hours or how often I end up at Target. For the last month or two, my locations are getting stuck, like others have mentioned. It logged my location from 11pm-730am as the Tim Hortons I go to every morning on my way to work (for months). I didn’t get there til 730, yet I slept there? It’s incredibly frustrating to go in and manually change this, and THEN, I’m going to have a “home” location at the Tim Hortons it’ll pick up every morning that’ll I’ll inevitably have to change. And it knew I got home last night at 11pm, yet didn’t log my location til the next day? I’m irritated by this. It’s been getting stuck on random roads for hours and, when that happens, I have an inaccurate day. I thought maybe it was because I wasn’t using my phone for it to “pick up” my location. Well, I checked the weather this morning at home, so I know gps knew where I was. Please fix this!!

Really Wanted to Like, But Not For Me**. First, the app is physically unusable for the first 36 hours, which is kind of crummy because they offer the free trial BEFORE they tell you you can’t do anything with it for the first day and a half. It didn’t affect me because I never sign up for free trials until I’ve tried the actual free stuff. Okay, it promised me fantastic insights if I let it run, so I did. And it turns out—I stay at home. I was already aware. Any other insights or logging (exercise, sleep, activities) seemed to require a subscription. Maybe if you aren’t turned off at the get-go like I was and actually chanced the subscription, it’s great. Or, you know, work outside the home and enjoy a social life. I recognize that this is a *me* problem, but if there are more me’s out there, figure I’d save you the 36 hours.

Needs a few changes. I’ve been trying out the free trail for a few weeks, and I love the idea behind this app so far. However, I will not be paying for premium and don’t see myself sticking even to the free version because of a few small bugs that irritate me. First, there are some bugs with this app tracking location. It can sometimes take a couple days for it to pop up that I was in an area or it won’t show up at all, then I have to enter it manually (which is both annoying and inaccurate). Second, why can’t I edit the activities already in the app? I don’t need a lunch and dinner option, just a “food” option. I could create my own, but it still irritates me to see the other options cluttering up my activities. Third, an activity at a uncategorized location will have a general area on a map tagged to it. But once I put in a custom name for the location, sometimes the location is untagged? Fourth, I’d like to be able to start an activity in the app somehow and stop it manually. Rather than having to remember my start and stop times and enter it after I finish if I want to manually create an activity. Finally, it would be nice to have more color options and be able to view my day in chronological order as well as by category. Overall the concept behind this app is great but I’m going to delete it because the execution makes the app more difficult to use than it’s insights are worth.

Great, but needs some polishing. I’ve been paying for this app since 2019, and I use it a lot. I love it so much. It gets so much right and is a fantastic way to log lots of my life. Because I’ve used it for so long, I’ve picked up on some problems. This is a wish list of changes: some Apple Fitness categories, such as dancing, show up as “(null)” in the app; it’s not possible to delete some of the default categories; the app glitched and created other (null) categories that can’t be removed (and they are not from Apple Fitness or Health); the step calculation rarely matches what’s in Fitness or Health; you can’t search for any notes; clicking an activity only shows the number of visits for the current calendar year but I’d like to see it for other times; it struggles to register a location if I haven’t been there for at least 10 minutes and if I don’t connect to Wifi there; if it doesn’t record you were at a place, it’s almost impossible to add it later because the location search works only from where you currently are or around a location it’s marked before.

“Sticky” Location Bug with iOS15. Since updating to iOS15, sometimes the app doesn’t notice changes in location. Please don’t tell me to restart my phone because that doesn’t work. Nor does flipping the significant locations switch off/on. Sometimes I’ll drive across town and it’ll still say I’m at my previous location (at the new location). There’s no current way to force the app to refresh its location info, so if it’s stuck, it’ll stay in the wrong place until you move again, sometimes twice, which is just impractical. Like I said, it’s only been a problem since the iOS15 update. Before that it’s been spectacular. Used the app for 3 years now and love it. Devs, please take note and do some spring cleaning! Not worth the subscription if it’s not going to work properly.

Only one recommendation. I like the app a lot but my biggest complaint is the inability to combine activities. For example, if I’m home, I often have friends over and that time won’t be logged as with friends with will be logged as home. I think we should be able to combine activities rather than I have to manually put the activity in. Other than that, I like the app in general. Update: I also remembered I get annoyed when I visit work for non-work reasons (I work at a grocery store and movie theater so sometimes I’m shopping or seeing a movie) and it’s just logged as work because of the location. I don’t know to manually change that and it messes up my work hours.

Super fun but not ideal for work-from-home. This app is super cool! It’s really interesting to see your life mapped out and how you’re spending your time. The only problem is, for those of us that do most activities at home (especially during this pandemic) it has a big gap in its tracking ability. If you work out at home, work from home, especially working from home on different projects as a freelancer, or have different video chat meetings or appointments while at home, it would be awesome to have those activities tracked. Maybe it could access your screen time app or see what apps you are using to guess whether you are working, working out, or I could program it to know that when I open certain apps I’m working on certain things? At the very least, I think the easiest thing would be for it to access your calendar and cross-reference your location with what you had planned. That would be super neat.

Stuck Locations, Poor Support. I want to like this app, but it keeps getting “stuck” at locations. Right now it tells me I have been at the pharmacy for the last 21 hours and counting. I stopped there yesterday for 5 minutes and then went home, where I have been ever since. The pharmacy is 2 miles from my house. I can try to fix this once the app decides I’ve left the pharmacy, but I will lose my auto-logged sleep. This happens at least once a week. At least 3 times I have become “stuck” at stoplights or other random points on roads. The first time this happened I got “stuck” at a gas station for 72 hours. I emailed for help, and I was told to update the app and iOS. Both were already up to date. So they told me to reset ALL Location & Privacy Settings on my phone. No. Not happening. I have similar tracking apps and they are just fine. The second time I emailed about the problem I didn’t receive a response. I’m really surprised, I’d expect better from the creators of Sleep Cycle.

Terrible customer service. I have used Life Cycle (and Northcube’s linked app, Sleep Cycle) for roughly three years as a premium subscriber. Over that time, I have found the information useful and the app itself fairly intuitive. However, last week, my app stopped logging location changes or recognizing that I had left a location. After deleting and restoring the app, I was unable to restore my premium account or recover my data. In the time since, I have been corresponding with the developer’s customer service team who seem determined to misunderstand my requests for help. After four rounds of unhelpful suggestions, I was told to follow the exact steps I outlined in my original request—the fact that those steps did not work the several times I tried them was what prompted me to reach out for help in the first place! I am wildly dissatisfied with the way my request for support has been managed; I am frustrated that the developer has taken this long to understand a simple issue. Unfortunately, while the app has been very insightful up to this point, I would strongly recommend not logging this kind of data in a system that crashes and, apparently, will not allow you to recover your data.

Not Completely Automatic.. I have been using this for a number of years now. At first I understood that I needed to tell it what I was doing as it learned the locations and many times it was just unable to get it close. After years of it having inaccurate location data I finally decided to raise a case with support just to find out if I can manually move the map pin to the correct location. I was told that it is unable to change the pin as it just pulls the data from the built in location services that the phone does automatically. Upon learning how it does it, I was able to look up the data from the most recent inaccurate map pin only to find that the phone had the location correct. I also noticed that the times on the in built data was more accurate than life cycle. I wrote back to support saying that the phone had the correct location and asked how can I get the app to use it. The response I got back that it wasn’t possible and just to create an event manually. When you do that though it doesn’t let you pick an address or location on a map so if you return you have to hope it gets it right when you go back. Would have given a higher rating if they showed some effort at improving it. But since there has been hardly any changes to the app since it started I shouldn’t expect them to start it now.

It’s a great app!!. As I said, absolutely great app, but can you add dark mode please? I’m editing this as of the 10th of July. Whenever I try and open the app, it crashes within seconds of me tapping on the app

No longer works.. Using this app since 2017. In the past months it has stopped logging locations accurately. Saying I have been at home for 100+ hours when I have been at work every day. I love this app but if it isn’t fixed soon I will be cancelling my premium account and finding a different way to log where I am for work.

Not worth the technology it’s written on. I thought this was going to be good for having comparative records of where time is spent, but after 11 months of using it now it honestly seems that one would be better off making notes in a diary or comparing things there, as this app is so far off the mark way too often and have to spend a great deal of tome trying to make corrections(when it even allows). Certainly not worth paying a fee for to install and for subscription. Have contacted support several times now showing them examples of bugs within it and they don’t seem to care, basically telling to ignore the issue or try n fix the record problems caused by it on my own.

Faulty. Been using this app for years paying for the premium subscription service. Has been fantastic until now, App no longer works, no longer records information. Suspect issue with latest IOS update. App advises to restart phone, have restarted phone hard reset and soft reset and deleted and reinstalled app. Still does not work.

I love this app. If you’re looking to understand how you spend your time, this app is for you! I use this to help identify where I can re-allocate my time; want to read more? How much time do you commute..? How much time do you really spend with family, friends and st work. It’s fun to know how time is spent :)

Great for time tracking. The app is great, I’ve been using it for 6 months and I’m really liking it. One improvement would be to allow editing of all activities. Some activities are uneditable, like lunch and dinner and flights - it would be good if these could be merged, deleted or the names changed, it is frustrating that they’re unable to be changed/deleted. I’d like to be able to edit all activities. Other than that, it’s great.

Very handy tool for work and play. Excellent app - I’m an itinerant worker so I use this to track where I’ve been to help create my timesheet. Also, to find out where I was and what time I left the night before when I wake up and my memory is a bit fuzzy ;) Feature request!! - an option to not group together the same activities on the daily Pie chart, and rather show them by when they occurred in the day - this will make it faster for time tracking.

Love the app but it could be better. I've been using this app since February of 2017 and love it, and have become a LITTLE obessed with keeping track of what I do throughout the day. I think I may have mentioned this in another review but 'Travel'doesn't stay when you add in another activity that happens at the same time such as 'Music'. The travel gets erased leaving me with no travel at the end of the month. I've noticed the same happens with 'shopping' will get erased if something happens. I take the bus twice a week and have created a tag for it because by travel is ever logged if I'm doing something esle. Recently I've had this problem with imputing sleep if I'm listen to music at the same time. Sleep will disappear. In order to get both I have to put music before and after the time I fall asleep which means the data for 'music' isn't correct. The same can be said for 'walking'. I'll out in the time and it'll only record ONE MINUTE which is beyond irritating. Please fix this. These have been bugs for a LONG TIME and need to be fixed in the next update.

Great app but needs work. This is a great app which would be perfect if locations were more accurate. They’re very vague in a lot of cases, which defeats the purpose. There needs to be a way of specific addresses being identified rather than some showing as the same vague location. If you do two different daily activities (eg gym and post office) they are both often identified as the same activity. Too time consuming to enter them separately later, if you can even remember the times (goes back to defeating the purpose). More colours and icons would be useful too.

Great idea, poor execution. As per title, this app would be great if it could get locations more accurate. Often times it thinks I was two suburbs away. And when I am home it often says I am shopping, which is 2 km away. I would like to keep track of how much time I spend walking, but it doesn’t credit me for up to 30% of my walk time. And then if you go to the effort to manually correct it, the app doesn’t correct the error and keeps saying for example that I am shopping. Doesn’t it believe me? I always have cellular, wifi and Bluetooth turned on, so can’t be a connection issue I have it connected to the Health app and allowed it to read Health info. I would definitely pay for pro version if it was accurate, but definitely not worth paying for at present.

Great app but could improve. Provides accountability, location and activity diary. A search and goto function would be provide great usability of the app (eg when was I here last year? Or when did I last do this activity?) Able to jump back to those days and review would be so memorable!

Fun app. I’ve been using this app since 2018 and I love it. Very fun app to look back at your habits and how see I used to spend time. It gets a bit annoying sometimes to fix the location or the activity but is very easy to do so.

Use it all the time, but. This App complains when I switch off WiFi, but it is unable to tell if I am at home or across the road at the Shopping Centre (with WiFi on) - why can’t it use the WiFi info to work out where I really am (rather than blame my phone for getting the GPS wrong when indoors)?

My life in a colourful circtacular donut. I love this app. It's colourful organised and I can flick back through the days to see if I've been a workaholic or a coffeeholic. It's not always 100% accurate with location but I use it mostly to see how my days are evenly balanced with work, rest and play.

Got charged for a free trial. The app has a 1 month free trial for the premium version and I was charged the full annual premium subscription price immediately. If this was just a free month add-on to the premium subscription then it is misleading to call it a 1 month free trial. Absolutely disappointed by how misleading this app is. Either offer a free trial to see if we like the app or don’t. It’s horrible to just mislead customers like this.

Great app - needs more features!. I absolutely love the app and find it so easy to use and insightful. I have several jobs and it would be useful to be able to have more than one “work” category, that tracks all work commutes. That way I wouldn’t have to just use the one default work category for 3 different jobs and could tell them all apart with different colours etc. but they would still count as work in my weekly/monthly reviews.

Fascinating. I've tried manually keeping track of what I do, bu, frankly, who has the patience (not me!) even if they have the time. This app is beginning to give me some insight into where my time really goes & I've been using it less than a fortnight! It hasn't asked me a bunch of intrusive questions - lets face it, I've already bared my soul to my phone 🤦🏻‍♀️ It asks permission to access that info, then for times where it's not clear where I was/what I was probably doing I have the option of filling in the grey question mark chunk with details. A brilliant little app - and yes, I have kept it running from the moment I installed it & have not noticed any real change in my battery life. Awesome job developers 🏅

Amazing & Handy App. Such an efficient and helpful app. Really easy to use, navigate and enter locations, notes etc. It’s been such a great app in helping me to keep track of my time, as well as review my days/weeks/months to look at my lifestyle patterns, see where I can make changes and see where areas of my life can be improved or are working well for me. It’s also really handy to have as a reference to look back on where you were/what I was doing on a certain day when I can’t remember exact dates or important info. I highly recommend it!

Waste of time. I don’t understand how this has such high reviews, it got everything completely wrong. It took two days to calibrate and when it said it was ready the graph showed I had been at home for the entire previous day when in fact I had been to three appts in two different towns and an evening class in another location, and was barely at home at all. For the current day it showed I was asleep for 10 hours, even though I also use the sleep cycle app, which I believe is by the same company, that says I was barely asleep for 7 hours. When I tried to update where I had been the day before I accidentally wrote the wrong company name into a geotagged location (which was also the wrong location for where I had been, nor was it my home address) and now I can’t delete it. I did however delete the app, if I want to know what I do all day I would be better off writing it down myself.

Buggy. Every time I open the app, it tells me I need to verify my account and every time I tell it to email me it does not send me an email. This happened years ago and I deleted the app and it’s still happening now. My email is correct and I’ve checked my junk. The app also randomly stops tracking location. It is set to always allow location tracking and most days it works, and then sometimes it just says I’ve been at home all day when I haven’t been.

Easy and intuitive, but buggy. Great idea, and so useful! Have loved using this app since I adopted it 18 months ago. Unfortunately, on iOS15, it’s quite buggy, and mis-categorises activities and places. Today, I ran a few errands and visited family, but the app missed the transport and every location other than home. Can this be fixed please?

Apple glitches not fixed & with no help to find.. Since I downloaded the latest apple running system this app crashed and has become USELESS. The ‘how to fix’ fixes don’t work no matter how often I try them. They say contact support but there is no link to support s basically you are on your own. I have paid for premium membership FOR WHAT !? Premium IT DOESN'T WORK ! I have to enter every visit manually so it is a circular diary that I pay to run myself as the app has stopped working. Well thank goodness it is due for renewal early December. This gives them time to fix it before I cancel my membership and go back to my FREE diary. I have emailed the developers three times about this problem, no one has the manners to answer me or the ability it seems, to fix the problem. So I am forced to vent here on feedback to save some of you from the sane fate. Up until this happened I loved this app and wouldn't be without it. But the last month of frustrations and the same no helpful help, has led to this scathing rebuke. They ( the developers) only have there complacency to blame.

Was good. Now glitchy. Now fixed.. This app used to be good and I could match my payslips to my work shifts. Now it doesn’t record anywhere that I go which is pretty much the whole point of the app. It says to restart the phone and I’ve done that. My settings are correct, the app is glitchy. Update: still has a few glitches not registering where I’ve been but they are a lot rarer now. So working much better now. I reviewed my review and raised the stars. Kudos to the devs for the improvement.

Been using this for years. Incredible data that this app can collect. Wish you could unlock the premium charts for a one off fee because there's not enough to do here to justify a subscription payment.

Amazing app in every way. This is an amazing app that is very useful and gives a good insight to how you spend your time doing what. Even though you have to pay for premium to get some features, it still is very good and not littered with ads. One improvement that I wish this app had was if you could also have an option to add who you saw at each event during the day by and get insights on that too.

Very good, but.... While it is very useful, most of the time some of the time stamps can be wrong and it doesn’t always pick up what it is you where doing at the time. But I don’t mind that much...

Helps so much with keeping track of my life. I am very forgetful and sometimes couldn’t tell you what I did last week. This app has helped me prove overtime from 6 months ago (been using for over a year) without missing out. I would be lost without this app.

Great but Buggy. This app is great but every now and then it messes up your locations regardless of having the app open in the back ground and perfect reception. For example, went to the beach yesterday, drove for 5 hours, went to a mates house and it said I was (pending) all day and only made one stop (the beach) and says I’m still there now when I’m at home. Very hard to edit these errors too.

Good app that gets expensive. Firstly, it’s a great app, works well and is accurate from my experience. I would even say it’s worth the 14$AUD a year for the premium version. BUT note, if you want it to connect with sleep cycle (their other app) then that will cost you another 32$AUD a year. Which makes this a pretty expensive app at the end of the day, and not worth the price. Free version is ok though, but I wish the overall price was lower so that I could justify buying additional features to get the most out of what seems to be a nice app.

Pretty good but glitchy.. The weekly donut graphs have not been working properly for ages, they show now data for the last 8 weeks and when you try to contact the developer they don’t respond.

great for work site tracking. when i travel to different job sites, i'm meant to track my time there, but i often forget. But...with this app, after i've put in all my locations it'll log it for me :)

Must Have. Keeps track of everyday activities so you can see where every hour/ minute of the day went. Best app by far👌

Not working. Please update. The app has not correctly been tracking my location even when I delete the app and redownload it doesn’t recognise location change.

No use for this, inaccurate and app crashes. I took out the trial version intending to buy the yearly subscription. But too often the app left me with a complete white screen on my Iphone X, crashed and became unresponsive and the time was although put to the right time zone always wrong. Places also inaccurate. You only notice after the app tracked you for about a week. The why pay 15$ per week for yet another app that tracks my movements. Who needs this ?

Tracking. Just because of Life Cycle, I've been able to track my sleep accurately and been having a good night sleep since I got this app. I can always look back and see how many hours I've slept and what my average sleep time is. Not only you can track your sleep, but it tracks te steps, the time I've been at school and home and many more!! Love this app!!!!😜😂

Great for tracking Work hours. Started using this app about 4 weeks ago. Love it!!!!! It is great how it tracks all activities and everywhere you go and remembers when you have been there before. And it is fabulous for tracking the hours you have worked, daily, weekly and monthly. What I would like it to do is to be able to change the week start and end days to work in with a pay week rather than a calendar week. Do you think this is possible to add to your next update please ??😊

Great app but needs more. I love this app. I would give it 5 stars, but it needs more... Some functionality suggestions: 1: integrate with other apps like eBay (how long do I spend shopping..?), and Facebook/Instagram etc - how much time do I spend on social media? 2: option to add recurring activities, rather than adding the same things every day. 3: Sub categories for all activities, and or the option to add them, many are too broad. 4: more linking in with the Health app - ie workouts, weight tracking, and even menstrual cycles if you’re a female! 5: a daily push notification if there are uncategorised locations or activities that need updating manually.

No syncing. Been using this for about 3 months now had no issues. But now even though I’ve gone to work, a friends place and done a few errands it still says I’m at home still even though my location services are on and wifi always on. I hate having to manually change the parts on the wheel. Some days it works perfectly and other days doesn’t register anything

Love this app, still a little issue.. I have been using this app for a long time now, and just recently there has been an issue with it recognising WiFi connection. This new version is supposed to rectify the issue, but it’s still there.

Good but room for improvement. I’ve used this app for almost two years, it’s great for monitoring where I go and what I do. A couple of suggestions for improvement: 1. Ability to change the day your week starts on 2. YTD and MTD tracking - currently you can only see july’s data after the end of the month. I’d like to see what I’ve been doing part way through the month as well. Same goes for a year. 3. In the summary reports, and graphs many metrics are shown on a monthly basis (eg number of hours worked/month), but with months having different numbers of days/working days this is a bit meaningless and would be better presented by week so you can see real trends 4. I find that the app will sometimes retrospectively change a days data which I don’t notice until the end of a week 5. It would be great to have a timer to log different activities, particularly when you do different things at a single location (eg working from home). Currently you have to add these retrospectively.

Amazing! The best app for life logging!. A big thank you to the makers of this app! They really listen to their users and created an incredible tool for effortless journaling and life logging that is an absolute joy to use and respects your privacy and ownership of your data. I’ve been a user of their SleepCycle app for 6 years and I’m going to be a loyal LifeCycle user for many years to come. Keep up the good work!

Sleep tracking consistently wrong. The good: - very easy to track when I’m at work and when I’m not; useful for submitting timesheets with very accurate timing - gives you a good idea of how much time you spend at work/home/gym although it’s kind of useless information and the novelty wears off The bad: - Constantly doubles up on sleep time with sleep cycle. I’ve been using sleep cycle for years without issue. This thing for example said today I slept 25h40m. How is that even possible to show up in the app??? It logged two entries, one for itself when the phone was idle, one from sleep cycle. There should be a way to TURN OFF the idle phone logging. I’ve raised this with developers. - because of above issues and occasional not logging gps location I’ve essentially only used this for work time tracking. I would not pay for price for this app

Love the idea, but providing weird data. Loving the idea, but the app is showing weird locations I was at (like I was sleeping 2 suburbs away), and the times don't seem consistent with the actual reality. I've only been using for 3 days (after the 3 day data collection period), so hopefully it settles down and gets more accurate. But I still would highly recommend getting the app and trying it out for yourself as I might be an exception rather than the average, too early to say yet :)

Used to be great. Have used this app for years and it used to work really well. Now, not so much. It constantly picks up my home as a supermarket that doesn’t even exist (and has never existed!), despite wearing an Apple Watch and connecting it to Apple health it doesn’t calculate my steps even close to correctly, and there are SO many locations that have to be entered manually even when you can see them named on the map. I’m in a sunk cost fallacy with this app.

Great app. Gives you stats on how your weeks, months changer from one to the next. Gives you a sense for how you’re going with sleep. Who you’re spending more time with or less time with. Excellent for mental health to see if that the things I’m doing are attributed to the outcome of your overall health.

Need to be able to adjust location. Need to be able to adjust location, when GPS location is inaccurate. I live next to a shopping center and it annoys me that after I’ve been to the shops, it still logs as I was in the shopping center, including sleeping there overnight. There’s also a place where I work where for some reason GPS seems to be bad. Throughout the day, it’s moves all over the place, even over 1km away.

Needs more locations. Location suggestions are too few and out of date. Some suggestions are for businesses that closed down more than 2 years ago. So you should be able to add your own addresses since the location can be several hundred metres out. Which also means it clocks local businesses as “home”. Maybe I manual override where you can start and stop a task, like working from home etc.

Personal Accountability. If you write down a goal "go to the gym every day" it logs automatically that you are there, and for how long. Imagine the possibilities. If you want to change your habits - this app will assist you. You can also leave notes for each event. If you are studying a degree, check how long you were in the library or out partying. Note to developers: it would be really cool if you could search your notes for key words you have entered, like "studying quantum physics" and then it gives you a summary of the amount of time, no. of days, the dates etc. Then email it to yourself as a .csv file like I can do with my bank accounts. Then I can review my time accounts. That would be worth 10 stars and no one could touch you if you had an annual fee.

What’s going on?. Have had it working well for years and up until a few months ago it was accurately displaying my locations. It no longer picks up when I’m at work or home or out for a walk, or any of the locations it previously logged. I can manually put data in but that defeats the purpose. Sadly, I’m ready to delete the app.

Great app to see where you are each day/week/month. I love how I can see what I have done and for how long, although it is frustrating that only one sleep app can be connected as I find using two I get better accuracy. I’d love to be able to log the things I am doing at certain places too, like at home the particular activities I’m doing. I look forward to replacing my Fitbit so I get a better accuracy of steps too as I don’t always have my phone on me. Apart from that, I really love this app!

Was great but not anymore. I’ve been using Life Cycle for almost 5 years and have loved it but the app hasn’t been working for the last several months. It no longer tracks locations making it pretty useless. I’m sad to have to move on to another option after collecting data for so long.

Broken since iOS 13 and 13.1. Loved this app - location privacy setting confirmed and rebooted as instructed in app - currently useless

App does not work iOS 13. App does not work on ios13. It was working fine before. Restarted device multiple times as instructed but still nothing.. please fix Update: app has been fixed.

App Unusable since iOS 13. The app hasn’t been able to use locations since it was updated for iOS 13. Still not working after updating to iOS 13.1.2. Not worth downloading until this is fixed.

Great app. I have been using this app for many years to track my work and activities, and have found it very useful. I would love to see good Apple Shortcuts integration so that some non location based activities (such as working from home) can be triggered and logged by Apple’s focus modes.

GREAT app until…. I loved using this app back in the days where we actually went places to work, study or entertain ourselves. Now we do all of that in one single place: home. And it’s probably going to stay the same especially with smart cities and the Metaverse coming. I would be curious to know what future you see for this app 🧐

Great for Time Management. This app is great for developing time management. It lets me see how I’ve used my time each day so I can set goals and improve. I do a lot of things at home, so I have to enter most of my activities manually, but this app is still way more convenient than the way I was trying to keep track of my time before. (With paper and pen!) One feature that would be great to add would be the ability to categorize activities for the weekly, monthly, and yearly charts. That way there could be a 6-hour block for meals on the main weekly donut, which could be expanded to view the breakfast, lunch, and dinner divisions. This would make it easier to view the weekly donut at a glance and determine where my time was going. Thank you for taking this into consideration!

$39 taken from me without asking or warning. My Credit card i could not use on my iPhone so i used my Roommates VISA to get iCloud $3.99 and then SleepCycle decided to pull out an old Subscription i had a trial for years ago at $39 leaving my roommate broke, i tried to refund threw apple but some server error happened then roommate freaked out because of the LifeCycle over priced app Stealing without asking or notifying, dont care if it was a year or two ago still need warning about taking money from someones home !!! Apple or SleeoCycle you guys better get abold of me quick or this will be spread like wild fire this robbery !!!

Not working since iOS 13 update. No longer works since the iOS 13 update. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling and nothing. I paid for the yearly subscription and am incredibly frustrated at V this point.

Sleep. Loved this app. Until it decided to add multiple event of sleeping for no apparent reason, useless in term of data now since I would be sleeping 20h per day.

fix it please. Hasn’t worked since the latest ios update. Troubleshooting instructions do nothing. Right now a pointless app.

Marche pas. Rien ne fonctionne Il ne trouve pas ma position Me demande de redémarrer mon cellulaire

Love it!. I have found it so interesting to see where I spend most of my day/week/month, and love being able to look back and know where I was on any given day. It's great accountability, as well as a great geographical diary!

Doesn’t pick up when I’ve left home or work. The app can’t tell when I’ve left home or work (5kms apart), so the data is completely wrong. Nice idea but no point in using with faulty tracking.

Wow.. like wow 🤩🤩🤩. If you don’t have this app, are you even doing life right?

Concerned. Wondering why it’s saying my sleep location is the same as my work location when I live 23 minutes away in a different town.

Currently useless.... The app no longer record my activities since I updated to ios13.

Stupid App. Wont let you use the app if you dont wanna share your location. I want to manually track my hours of day. Please stop forcing us to turn on location services.

App no longer works. App used to be very good. However, since the latest iOS updates (13 and on), app doesn’t work anymore. It’s very disappointing the app is not being updated for almost a year. Obviously, the developer has abandoned us.

Please update workouts. Every time my Health app logs a newer workout category like "fitness gaming" this app creates a "null" activity that I can't delete. Please fix, I've been paying a subscription for this app or like 5 years now.

Was a good app. How sad. The app has not posted on twitter since 2017 and I cannot send them an email. I liked the app but now it has stopped recording my activities. I hope another app comes along to replace

Useless without an update. I’ve used this app for years to help me track where I go and when. However with the newest iOS update, it has stopped tracking any of my moments and just shows me at home with the occasional sleep log. It’s basically a useless app now.

Position gps. Erreur de positionnement entre mon domicile et mon centre de yoga à un coin de rue de chez moi. Peut indiquer que je suis à la maison alors que je suis au yoga.

App doesn't work. The app doesn't record my activities.

No longer records location properly. Locations are not working properly anymore. Not worth purchasing until this is fixed

Subscriber feedback:. Love everything about this app! Reminds me how much time I’ve spent on a certain activity per day and calculates my commute time. I can easily take a look at with the pie chart with everything I’ve done per day. One improvement would be to have the ability to “edit” activity names as activities can be more or less generalized in a category. Then it would be perfect.

Great Idea…if it worked reliably. Just doesn’t work reliably, plain and simple. I’ve been using it and have found it just fails to track some locations. Just glitches. Contacted support and did everything they recommend but no dice. I don’t have time to waste on an app that’s literally just supposed to work in the background. If it doesn’t work reliably then it’s just a waste. Cool idea, but don’t bother. They just are not supporting the app or bothering to fix it.

Used to be good. I loved this app at the beginning. BUT now it’s useless. It no longer identifies locations… Very disappointing.

No support. I found a bug that prevents me from navigating to any other screen from the activities screen. I wanted to report the bug, but there is no way to easily contact the developer through the app. I found the developers website, clicked on the contact link, and the link doesn’t work. What’s going on?

Doesn’t work on iOS 13. The app no longer works on the new iPhone iOS 13. Hopefully the devs fix it sooner than later

Useless. Great concept, but the longer it tracks you the less accurate it gets. Correcting it is a big waste of time because it doesn’t learn from your corrections.

PLEASE add a colour wheel. I would love if a colour picker tool was added so we can have a custom pick of unlimited colours instead of just the default ones!

Needs improvements to justify subscription. The app does what it says it does. It could benefit from removing the character limit in the notes, make it possible to search the notes and create an iPad version of the app.

Doesn’t work anymore. I’ve been using this app for over 3 years without issue. I upgraded to iPhone 13 2 days ago and the app hasn’t worked properly since. Doesn’t locate me, despite doing the fixes that the app team instructed me to do. Intermittent at best

Needs an update for iOS 15. Since the new iOS, this app can no longer accurately update the location information. This renders the app completely useless considering this is its primary function! Very disappointing. For example, I had an hour or more of driving and several hours out of the home today. But today’s info only shows home and sleep. I’d been using this app for years up to this point. Now I’ve deleted it from my device. When it works, this is a five star app.

No longer useful. I've used this app religiously for more than three years as a paid subscriber and have gathered a great amount of data -- it has always worked flawlessly, until now. In the last couple of months it has suddenly become quite inaccurate. Sometimes its locations are so unspecific their radiuses cover half the city. Other times it records locations of places I haven't set foot in for months. All this is happening despite the Significant Locations showing up in my iPhone Settings accurately. I've reached out to their support team multiple times and they seem to just shrug and say it's a problem they're aware of and that "sadly a fix for this is not near." 3+ years of data, coming to a stop. Buyer beware.

Great app. Works good and is visually appealing while staying simplistic. My only complaint is that there is no widget. I would loooove if you guys could add a feature to include that

Don’t use it. Privacy concerns. Don’t use this app. It asks for your iCloud access. If your data is stored on the phone as this company claims, they don’t need iCloud access. In the age where even companies like Facebook openly lie, you need to be extra careful when using an app such as this one

Awesome. Very well made app and practical. Good for entrepreneurs and for insights on our lives. I wish it is maintained and supported for a long time in the future.

You will be free . It counts 27 hours per day. Such a great feature This app will give you more than 24 hours a day to you. I’ve used this app for more than 3 or 4 years and now I surprised it shows more than 26 hours of activity for a day. Are you serious guys!?🤯

Worked for a while. I was loving this and would have given it 5 stars a month ago. But all f a sudden it’s not tracking my visits. I’ve gone through all the steps in the help section and it might work for a day then stops. Definitely not getting premium if this is going to happen.

Amazing. Recommended to many people.. This app does everything for you. Just leave it running in the background and it'll show you where you're spending your time and with who. Very impressive.

First year of use is the most useful. I think the concept has a lot of potential. I like the level of customization but location is not precise enough to differentiate between places near to each other, meaning that you constantly have to correct it, yet the app doesn’t adjust automatically next time. Eventually it starts to miss HOURS of activities nowhere near your home, and shows that you were home. I think the devs just gave up on it, lol. Oh well, back to manual journalling it is.

Took my money without my permission. Tried to sign up for the free 30 day trial but it charged me the $12.99 yearly fee instead. The app support button in the App Store leads to a broken link.

No localisation. Depuis peu, l’application ne capte plus mes déplacement. J’utilise depuis quelques année. C’est dommage.

iOS13 doesn’t work. This app is no good with iOS13. Doesn’t receive any location data. Makes it useless. If the devs don’t fix this within the week it’ll be adios.

Not a good sign!. It’s one of the biggest things I look for when considering a new app. I read the last update, how long ago it was and what they did. Then I read the reviews. I look for much more than just what people are saying. I look to see how many people are saying the same thing. How far apart the reports are. How long the same problem has been going on. But the biggest thing I look for is what/if anything the developers respond with, how they talk to people and what they say. I’ve read enough from this to know this isn’t an app for me. I’ve had this app for years, it never seemed much benefit to me. But I do enjoy the sleep app by the same developer. Having said that, I’m now considering looking for a new sleep app as well. Of all the people leaving reviews, the different concerns and the time between them...... not once have I seen a reply from the developer. Not a single word! You are expecting people to pay you for using your app. So where is your customer service? Do you not care if people use it or not? Ignoring the people that are supporting you by paying for your app, you are basically telling them that they don’t matter. Their needs and wants are not important. In short, by ignoring or not responding to people you are telling them, don’t like the app the way it is? Oh something isn’t working? Oh well sucks to be you. We are too busy to care. Congrats! I’m positive that you are going to be regretting that very soon. When the cash stops rolling in, you will care. Eventually. But by then it will be too late. Very poor business practices. Sad because I actually really enjoyed the sleep cycle app. But I’m sure there are other apps that care about what people are saying and asking for. Regards, Lady Karma 😘

Needs a few upgrades. I have been using this app for as long as I can remember and I love it. But I’m ready for some upgrades. We need more colour options and more icon options for activities or at least the ability to insert your own.

Review. A very practical application,

No longer gets any feature updates :(. 🥺🥺🥺 could be fantastic if devs put time behind it / market it more / redesign

Great...but simple fixes needed.. The most complicated features seem to work well. Tracks your location and provides easy way to categorize. I’d like if it didn’t count something I did at 1am as “today” considering that’s really yesterday. It should count anything before sleeping as yesterday. The other issue is the categories. There are some built in categories and most I’ll never use. And I need more colors to categorize since this is how the pie chart displays info. Hopefully the app fixes some of the simple things like this because it’s a killer app. Nice to not have to manually start and stop a timer to track what I’m doing throughout the day. Nice mike high view of how I spend my time.

Recent location tracking issue. I’ve used this app for almost 3 years and I love it. I see a lot of live music and use the notes to record band names. Really fun at the end of the year to see the full list (225 hrs of live music in 2019 🤘🏽) However, as others reported, recently the location tracking is whack. It’s lost the precision and will track the same location for places a few miles apart, or place me a few miles away from where I was. It means I have to spend a lot more time cleaning up the daily data, and probably will have to if it’s ever fixed. Please fix it, it’s one of the few apps I feel good subscribing to.

Life is wicked insanely GOOD. Before you read any further, STOP, go to the App Store and buy this app. Life is remarkable. It keeps track of everything. I have a job where I move around a lot and this app automatically sees where I am, knows how long I've been there and keeps track of travel time. Your able to distinguish between work and personal projects. It's a 5 star App all the way. Essentially, if you don't own this app, your are literally on the outside looking in on a winner, and no, I wasn't paid in anyway or given anything for my review. It's just that good!!

Helps you see what’s important in your life. I have been using for about a year now. Once you “teach” it your habits (ie when you go to a grocery store you tell LifeCycle that’s an ‘errand’ (or however you want to label it) and do that for all your life events, over time, it just knows the purpose behind what you’re doing. Over time you can see where you’re spending your time and on what. That can be valuable information as you’re evaluating your life priorities. I think this is a well designed, well thought out app that can be really useful as a life tool.

Time to manage your time. I seriously didn't know how much I needed an app like this until I got it. Seriously, it has helped me manage how I spend my time, and it keeps me honest. A couple drawbacks: it sometimes mixes up nearby places (e.g. I work right next door to my church and it occasionally confuses the two) and once in a while I've driven a short distance slowly due to traffic and it thinks I'm riding a bike. But those are little issues. Overall one of my best apps. And the best part? I can forget about it and it still works just fine. I really only check up on it once every few days to see how I'm doing.

Location not activities. I think this app could be useful - but let’s be clear, it is primarily tracking locations, not activities. You can manually add activities, or it can add activities such as sleep when it links to another app (Sleep Cycle). However, it identifies time at home, and being home is not an activity. Many activities can occur when I’m located at home - working out, gardening, cleaning, reading, watching TV, napping, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, etc. I think this app needs to rethink it’s intended purpose. The primary use I can see for it is identifying how long I am really at work, however if I go somewhere close by for lunch or drinks after work, it is not sensitive enough to differentiate these locations due to the proximity to the primary location, and it assumes I’m still at work.

Fixed. Location tracking has broken completely in iOS 13. I’ll gladly update my review to 5 stars when this gets fixed, but for right now this app is completely useless Ok, I said I would update to 5 stars but that’s not the case, I can only give it 4. When location tracking stopped working, it told me to try restarting my phone, which I did, but that didn’t work. What it didn’t bother telling me is that I needed to have “Significant Locations” in my phone settings turned on for it to work now. They just never bothered to tell me, and I had to find it by looking through the faq.

Wifi required is absurd. The two updates released in March 2018 are actually crashing the app. It also went backwards on the ability to notice that I have left my home and gone to my office, 1 mile away. Really want to roll back the app to the Jan 2018 version. **I finally relented and let my wifi remain on to see what the app tracked. It did much better tracking - so must be an internal setting that worries more about the wifi instead of still processing location. Still stupid. ** Wanted to love this and appreciate the efforts to track daily activity but two things started driving me crazy: Steps aren't accurate and don't follow movement around the house unless you move farther than 500 feet. Wifi on is required for accurate tracking. Which means I'm constantly being asked when traveling if I want to connect to a network. I turn wifi off when not home to I don't drain my battery. Final complaint is that it can't compute different time zones. I travel across time zones often and it doesn't catch every flight. Overall disappointing that I can't edit or remove the pre-set activity category names. Fix these things and I'll be happy to pay.

Disappointed in no recent updates. Like others I’ve used this app for a few years and have been really disappointed that it doesn’t work correctly with iOS 15. I’ve kinda found a workaround that works sometimes. Do the precise location reset that is described in other reviews here, and then if you know you’re about to go somewhere restart your phone as close to leaving time as you can. I’ve found that most of the time this fixes it temporarily. It mostly gets stuck if your in one location for a long period of time. I do wish they would release an update that properly corrects the issue for good.

Great app, needs Apple Watch 3 support. I love this app tremendously. It truly breaks down my day so that I’m more aware of my habits and where my time goes. The app does everything it advertises. It has been helping improve my daily habits to be more aware of where I need to cut back and where I need to add time to. With that said I am asking for Apple Watch 3 celular support. With the freedom of being away from the phone this does not track my daily activities correctly. Is there a way to switch between phone and watch when the watch is not paired to the phone?

Needs Work. I don’t normally write reviews on anything. But I love this app. It’s awesome to track all of the things I do and where I spend the most time especially for travel and commute time for work. However recently the app has been missing logging my sleep, mis logging transit times and logging transit for time when I’m home or sleeping. There a miscommunication between the app and what’s actually going on with the phone. If the phone isn’t moving it shouldn’t be logging a transit from one place to another. Obviously the GPS hasn’t moved, and the connect/sync with the sleep app is less than reliable.

Super great app- just some feedback. First of all, love this app. Super helpful to be able to see how my time is being spent. However, I’ve got some ideas to make it better. Definitely I’d like the option to delete the default activities. I’d also like to be able to combine activities, like if I was at dinner with friends I could tag it as “Dinner” and “Hang” rather than having to pick between the two. Another thing that would be cool would be to view my day chronologically rather than just in the donut. Anyway, I love this app. I’ve had it for about a month now and I don’t plan to delete it anytime soon.

This app is in sore need of an update.. This app only gets updates maybe once every 6-12 months or so, and even then it’s just to make it compatible with new versions of iOS. New features are hard to come by. It works and does the basics though. However, you can’t delete or edit the default categories. Apple Health workouts just sync in individually instead you being able to lump them into a category called exercise. Once you’ve used this app for years, the list of place just grows and grows and you can’t organize it. There’s just a laundry list of QOL features this app has needed for a long long time that I don’t have faith will ever be implemented at this point.

Used to work, not with new iOS. I was still getting used to the app but with the new iOS, it wont track anymore. I’ve turned it on and off as it prompts me to do to reset the phone, but after doing this 3 or 4 times, nothing has changed. Now it doesn’t track anything. I’ve been waiting for an update but nothing. I checked the app settings and made sure it’s always allowed to access my location, and when my phone tells me it’s been tracking my location, I say “continue to allow this.” Not sure what else I can do but a little disappointing. I don’t really want to restart it as I’ve just gotten enough data to really start tracking habits, but I don’t want to purchase anything yet because I don’t know if it’s really valuable for me or just a lot of extra steps.

This app is so cool.. I downloaded it just for fun. I saw it while searching for something completely different and was like hmm this looks interesting and it is SO COOL! I’m just using the free version and I feel like it’s giving me so much insight into how I use my time, and after 2 weeks it starts adding a “journal” element for you and adds your photos from the week and explains some of your weekly and eventually monthly habits! I highly recommend it. It literally just works in the background, and you have this new insight into your life and how you spend your time. That’s such a good deal.

Love it!. Perfect for the person who loves data and tracking everything- which I do. I love to see how my different sleeping habits affect the rest of my life and how the rest of my life affects my sleep. I love seeing where and how I spend my time while not necessarily being mindful of what I’m doing- it gives me a chance to reflect as the weeks and months go by. Love the premium service that has all those extra features and I look at my daily donuts every day to add or edit any missing info and to reflect on where I’ve been and what I’ve given my time to.

Wishlist. It’s a great app, just two things I wish for: - make the donut a 24-hour timeline, with noon at the top and midnight at the bottom, with each activity shown in the position it occupies in actual time. So if I have lunch from noon to one, it appears as a one-hour block at the top. Time remaining in a given day would appear blank. This would also mean not combining two instances of the same activity into one pie slice as it does now. The total time for that activity could still be shown in weekly view, and also maybe in an alternate daily view. - in weekly/monthly donuts show percentages not hour totals.

Just finished a full year of using this.. I don’t think I’ll be doing it again through 2018. It was kinda cool seeing my year chart, but I know my hours weren’t correct for everything. There were nights I didn’t log my sleep or naps, and days where I forgot to log where I was. The most annoying part of this is that it doesn’t automatically track commutes. I work on a bus and have to individually change transportation to work several times for every day. The developers have said for a long time they they’d be adding this feature and never did. Really annoying. Maybe I’ll come back to the app later if commutes are added, but in 2017 this app was just too much hassle for not much payoff.

Love it but needs some polish. Don't get me wrong the app looks quite clean already and it performs really really well -but interface wise it doesnt feel quite up to the snappy level of the sleep cycle companion app. One specific feature I really want is a better interface for the notes. When you type a long note (which I often do) you don't get a larger box to see your note in. To read all your text, you have to edit the event and then tap to edit the text, where you can then scroll. If the note would be accessible from the main donut, or if the info edit page would just display a larger text box that would be fantastic.

Decent, but basic. Found this through sleep cycle.I have been using this for a week now. It’s interesting and I think it is is useful on tracking time outside the house. It’s very basic though you can’t really track where your time goes inside the house on activities. Personally, I was going to try to use this for adhd, but may need another app instead. Also can’t edit the activities that are preloaded while is bothersome if they don’t apply to your lifestyle and you want a clean short activity list. I’m sticking with it to see the journal feature and will update review.

Great concept, Needs more connectivity. I really like the concept of this app, especially the data analytics that’s available with premium subscription. Overall the app operates smoothly and is an enjoyable interface. However, I do have a couple suggestions: 1. Connect to fitness apps such as Fitbit, Garmin, etc. my step counts are always inaccurate because I don’t always carry my phone on my person. However, I do always wear my Fitbit! 2. Connect to your address book, so when you are at an address in your address book, it already knows where you are without you having to custom name that location.

Glitches and Errors Everywhere. Loved the app for several months but over the last 2 weeks, it locks on positions and doesn’t adjust for new locations. I found it would not track and I would have to ma tally attempt to adjust for where I actually was. Now, I have been “located” at the exact same spot since Sunday morning. When it works, it’s great but not worth the premium purchase price, can’t even restore from backup and every troubleshooting suggestion doesn’t work. I’ve turned my phone off/on, I’ve deleted the app and restored my purchase from my backup and I’m getting ready to request a refund! PS - it’s it a one-star review because when it worked it was very useful.

Ok hold up what just happened.... I’ve had this app for the past couple of months and it’s been the most amazing app ever! It is for just some reason so satisfying to see what you did today and to enter in new stuff, and it just remembers it!! For some reason, now the hours are WAY off, and I have to end everyday correcting them, and it doesn’t even work . I put in that I was Home from 5:50 am to 6:50, and it said I was home for 25 hours, and I even checked and the only one I had was for that segment. Also, it’s started to only track the time I’m home in the mornings, not afternoons, so I have to enter it in. Please, don’t get me wrong, this app was so amazing before whatever this is was happening!! I thought it was just me, so I deleted the app and restored it, and it was fine until it started up again. PLEASE MAKE IT THE WAY IT WAS AGAIN!🙏👏🏻😰

Set it and forget it. After the initial setup, it is very easy to just live your life and have LifeCycle track everything. The lack of a fifth star is because when its have usual activities in close proximity they get confused. For example, there is a restaurant near my office that I go to for lunch sometimes. Fairly often, LifeCycle thinks I just stayed at work the whole time, instead of having lunch at the restaurant. Other times when I eat a different nearby restaurant, it records it as the first restaurant. I've tried going into location settings, but it just gets messy. Despite that, being able to see how general trends play out in my life has been very helpful.

Good idea, hate the commitment. I’ve had Life Cycle for well over a year. I really enjoyed the idea behind the app. Seeing how much of my day was spent on certain activities was truly interesting. However, as I fly a small plane for a career, the app does not recognize this. Each time I fly, the app thinks I am driving a vehicle, on a train, or riding a bike. It’s extremely time consuming and irritating to have to change the times and locations of the activities I was doing each day. I wish there was a way around this, but unfortunately not. Debating at this point whether or not to keep the app.

Just started using the app and can already tell. Just started using the app and I can already tell that I will have to wait a long time before they figure things out. First, when it comes to activities, the app has no way of knowing what you are doing so it will naturally just guess what is happening. Secondly, when calculating the time at home, allow it to be editable inside the home activity. for example, I work out at home, watch tv, play video games etc etc., yet I can’t edit home to contain all of those activities within it. Third, allow me to start and stop my own activities. I work from home so the app literally has no idea what i’m doing, to the point that it will just start creating long gaps of times (like 30 hrs) where it believes im doing an activity but the start and stop times couldn’t be further from the truth. There’s no way the app. can tell the difference between me cooking or playing the guitar, watching tv or meditating. So it will always give inaccurate information until you allow people to track themselves.

Amazing. This app is something I missed out when I first got sleep cycle alarm which is something I love using. This keeps a detailed history of what you have been up to and the company is based in Sweden, so your data is secure. Looking back after a few days I caught some patterns of my own behavior and also started seeing trends; after a certain while I starting seeing how certain habits influence other habits. It also syncs with other your alarm cycle database with the premium subscription so you can see how your daily routines affect your sleep and can adjust accordingly

Tracks where you spend your time. Unlike Day One’s Activity Feed, Life Cycle has great stats displays and ties into  Health for workouts and sleep times. I’d like to see a clock function that shows the donut as a consecutive period of 24 hours instead of grouping by activity. They could also turn this into an amazing journaling app if the day, week, and month pages were better organized and searchable. They could add photo display into the locations and activity screens and show the photos and notes you have take in those places as a journal of your past visits. But it seems like they aren’t actively developing new features, and that’s very disappointing.

No longer works. I’ve been using this app for several years. Has been helpful for me because I tend to work different hours each week and it helps to have something to reference if I forget to note my start and end times each day. Within the last week, it has stopped recording my locations. It seemed to fix the issue after a day or so but just now, in the evening, I opened it and could see the correct info but then after about 1 second it was all gone: work, evening commute & grocery store details. Shows sleep, morning commute and then just indicates incorrectly that I’ve been home for 13 hours. What has happened to this app?! Very frustrating.

Great app! Feature suggestion. I really love this app, no questions asked. It’s great. I like that you can retroactively add events that weren’t recorded automatically. But I think it would be really cool if there was an option to “start” a certain event and then “finish” when you’re done and it would put that event in between the start and end times. I think that would be useful because sometimes I want to add something that I did and I don’t always remember exactly when I did it.

It tracks WHERE you are. If what you do is based entirely around being in geologically significant physical locations then this app will help you track how much time you spend in different places. But if you do several different things in one GPS location it can’t discern between them. This is to be expected so why am I giving it two stars? Because of how cocky the app is. “It’ll change your life we promise.” “It might not seem like it but we can tell you something about you that you didn’t know! :)” perfect example of overpromising and underdelivering. Instead of being more forthright about how the app works and who it works for you make blanket statements that ultimately leave room for disappointment, even for someone who understands the limitations of the tech.

Was a great App but doesn’t work on ios13. Update: So it does work with IOS13 location tracking if you turn on Significant Locations under privacy but I really don’t want that setting enabled and didn’t have to have it enabled prior to the OS upgrade. They also haven’t fixed their other sleep tracking app to work with IOS13 so probably not looking good overall. I’ve dabbled with it since it came out and resubscribed to premium recently to get a better idea of how my time is spent. I know they don’t take feature requests but it would be nice to group several activities into a single one for further analysis. For example I could group drive time, office work, work from home time, and client visits into “work” for an easier way to see how much time spent at work.

Unlike Sleep cycle, this app is a total garbage. I started using this app with the impression I got from the Sleep Cycle app which is designed fantastic and I am a paid member on both but not on this one from today. Thank goodness that the developer offered a pre trial membership with fun functioning for one month and for me it didn’t take more than a week that I realized this app is what I say, must delete and totally unpractical but Sleep Cycle is one of my most favorite apps on my phone. Now why this app is not functioning the way it should and recognize the right places you spent your time and even the right time frame, is something that we should ask the developer to answer. I’m done with this app and I don’t even recommend the free version of it to anyone.

Was a 5 star app 48 hours ago. It won’t log any location data now and I’ve tried all the tricks posted by people on the forums & from the developers. Gonna be cancelling my subscription if it doesn’t start back soon. It’s a brick on my home screen Week later...still can’t get it to work, zero stars 😑 I don’t know why they won’t update there were very definite issues with iOS handling of location data on the incremental release that was prior to iOS 13.3.1 this is nonsense at this point. Had been using it for work for on call hours billing. Will have to go back to just guessing based of my mileage tracker. Worst part is I still get notifications that the app is accessing my data 100+ times every 3 days or so with a map of where but nothing populates.

Has been SO bad. I used to love this app. So accurate and helping me keep track of my life. However since I’ve gotten a new phone a couple do months ago (which shouldn’t influence at all, I believe) it hasn’t been doing its job properly at all. It doesn’t pick up when I go to places or leave them, then I have to keep Re updating which is annoying because I paid it so it could do it itself. After I’ve had it for so long, most places are already saved. Super disappointed and there’s no customer service, no one I can call and try to solve the issue so I decided to leave a review. I would have recommended it but it’s been extremely inconvenient instead of helping me.

Interesting concept, poor execution. I was very intrigued when I first found out about this app and really wanted it to work for me. However say three, I cancelled my free trail and will not continue to use it if this app remains as is. It’s was very inaccurate in tracking my daily activities, I found myself having to fill in the gaps and make various edits to it—which I think is too manual of a process for the app to claim to track things in the background. I’m a huge fan of sleep cycle and I know that this company is capable of executing an amazing application, so I stay hopeful that they’ll develop and grow this app to be better and more powerful. In the meantime, I will not be using this until they improve the accuracy of the tracking.

Inaccurate. At first I loved this app, but lately I’ve been noticing its missing whole chunks of my day. For example, today I rode my bike to a location, stayed there about an hour, and rode back home. It was missing the chunks of time where I was riding my bike. It didn’t say I was somewhere else, those times just didn’t appear in my donut. It would be nice it would show all the times of activities in a list so you could just fill in missing slots easily. The other thing that really irritates me is when you create a new icon it doesn’t show you what colors have already been used. It’s a small issue, but annoying none the less. I won’t be renewing my paid subscription.

Nice to know where i'm spending time. This is a great app for those who like to keep track of where they go and for how long and also what theyre doing at each location. A bit off sometimes even with data and location services on but its about 75% accurate. With the newest ios update...i think there may be a bug..there's a pop up stating "no visits today" on the screen as soon as i enter the app...but then once i clear away that message everything looks fine to me...and the problem persists...it doesnt track anywhere i go anymore....weird. Keeps on telling me its a bug

Long-term app user. I’ve been using this app in the background for about 3 years now. It’s super helpful for understanding how and where I spend my time, especially when I was working at multiple locations and needed to log my hours accurately. Honestly, it’s given me a better perception of how long it actually takes to commute, how much time I spend walking my dog in the morning, or how long it’s been since the last time I saw my Grandma. It’s also motivational since it will note an increase or a decrease of certain activities, such as time spent at the gym, throughout your week.

Not accurate. This app is hit or miss anymore. When I look back at the week it’s not correct like it used to be. One of the biggest problems is the app had assigned my home as a grocery store. So for I had to keep editing it after the fact. I tried getting support and was ignored. It also tells me that 2 grocery stores, my parents home, and my gym are 36’ away from my home and I live on 20 acres and have no neighbors so obviously there are issues with this app. My settings have the app set to always allow too. Also another issue, I will be in a town at a park for a run and it tells me I am at the other end of town at a grocery store etc. and vice versa. Its not honing in on GPS locations like it used to. It just picks random things it seems?! I don’t know what this apps obsession is with grocery stores Lol! I have been using this app for years and I would like to support them but I feel it would be throwing money away as I have to edit more then I should to make this accurate. And I’m not expecting it to be perfect, but I just think it could function better given the technology out there these days. And not recognizing my home is the most annoying!

Wish I were “grandfathered in”. I enjoy Life Cycle. It is helpful for me to remember where I have been and what I have done. My job requires me to track my time spent at different locations and this helps a lot. I’ve recently found it useful to see how many places I have visited loved hangout spots. Recently they introduced a “premium” membership including features I previously had at no charge. I have used the app for years and they have years worth of my contribution to their “big data”. I wish they grandfathered me in to access premium features at no additional cost.

Intriguing, but.... I’ve had this downloading for 3 days. I’ve been using sleep cycle for almost a year and think it’s an insanely useful tool. Ultimately, I’ve been frustrated with how much time it takes to sync up data. 2 days ago it said 36 hours to sync, but only 3 days of data showed up. Then it said 24 hours to sync. 26 hours went by and the the wait time went up. Feels like I’m wasting battery life (even though they say it only uses 1% per day—which is certainly not accurate) and, more importantly, constantly checking in on the app to see if my data has been updated like it said it should have been. I’ll give it until tomorrow, but 99% sure this app will be deleted by then which is unfortunate. Fix your interface, Life Cycle!

Good but Not Great. This app is great for tracking your day by location and editable that you can add things in at the end of the day or label new locations. My complaint is that it comes loaded with a bunch of hyper specific activities that cannot be edited or deleted like ‘flight’ and ‘cycle’. If they were ‘travel’ and ‘exercise’ I’d use them but I’ve never cycled in my life and get on a plane maybe once a decade. I haven't needed a bunch of these activity types in the several years I’ve been using the app so far and will continue to never use them but there’s no way to get rid of them so they continue to clutter up my app using icons and colors I’d rather assign to other activities.

Location tracking can be wonky. Sometimes the location tracking can be great! Other times I can be in one place, not moving for hours (my phone can not be moving at all, like when I’m sleeping), and the app will say I’ve been at home a dozen times or that during that time I’ve been at a nearby store for 17 minutes (for, example, at 3am while I’ve been asleep). I’m always able to go in and edit it, but that’s annoying. Equally annoying is that this isn’t happening all the time. It will be a thing for a week or two, then disappear for a month, leading me to believe it was a glitch that’s been fixed, but then it’s happening again.

Long Time User, Recently Seeking Alternatives. Not sure what has happened but few like things have become stagnant with the app. It used to be amazing which is why I give two stars but as of recent, feels like development has stopped. Not only that, but almost a year, I’ve had a null event show up taking over a lot of my data and there is no way to delete. Been going through support but was ultimately told, we’re are looking into it with no response left. It was a nice tool to help me remember things and better myself but hopefully, another app like this can happen from someone else one day. Or, development continues again in the future. Was an amazing app!

Stopped working. UPDATE2: Post by liamalier was most helpful to fix the bug issue! Now it’s working again, so I’ve returned to 5 stars. UPDATE: Weeks later and I’m still waiting for a fix! I’m going to cancel my subscription if this doesn’t get fixed quickly! I have LOVED this app. However it has recently stopped working. Even after notifications that I need to restart my iPhone, nothing has improved. There is no support info I can find, so I hope by writing this, someone will notice. I’ll return to a 5 rating when that happens.

Great App, Killed by iOS 13. I've used this app for ages now, and it's very good at what it's made for, obviously. As someone with ADHD, this app is super useful because I can never remember where I've gone and what I've done. Unfortunately, when I updated my iPhone SE to iOS 13, the app instantly stopped working. I've been manually plugging in all my traveling for the past few days now, thanks to the app not tracking me. I've updated it, uninstalled and reinstalled it, and still nothing changes. I'm hoping to contact them later today about the issue and see if there's a fix at all. Unfortunately, if a solution doesn't come up, I'm probably going to stop manually plugging in my cycles.

Love it!. I love using the app, I don’t spend more than ~5min a day tracking everything, I’ve been using for about 4 years. SO BADLY, I want the monthly and weekly donuts to track continuously rather than having to wait for the end of the week to see the report. I have yearly goals that I break down into monthly and then weekly goals. I’d like to see that progress as I go! Instead I have to go day to day and track weekly progress manually. I like the weekly report and the cute little insights, but would much rather see the whole picture as I go if I had to choose between the two. Also, I think a quality-of-day rating system should be incorporated into each day so you can see how your activities affect the quality of your days. That would be a sweet chart. Overall it is worth the money for me, I use sleep cycle as well, prem’d up. I love it. Cheers to a high-quality balanced life! PS- Rob Dyrdek is coming for you guys, so keep on improving!

Great App. Downloaded this at the start of the week. I like it so far. Like anything it has to learn you. The only issue I’ve run into so far is things end up in commute that shouldn’t. Like lunch, half hour lunch. It ended up saying lunch but got lumped with my commute to home. Maybe this happened because home is less than five minutes away. Also I’m a dog walker. So not all walks are walks. Some are work. When I move them to work it won’t let me add their location. It’s just a few little things. But over all great. Can’t wait to see the bigger picture down the road!

Great app for tracking trips and activity. I love having an automated diary of where I’ve been and what I’ve done. The cumulative insights are great. For the developer: 1) Sometimes, if I leave my phone behind, I must manually enter the location’s name of where I went, but if it’s a new place, there is no way give it a location on the map or an address. Please fix this so the geography of my visits is maintained! Thank you for a terrific app! 2)Tracking iOS’s Focus modes would be great for activities that happen at the same location, especially for people who work from home.
