Disappointed. I was excited about this game. I was going to use it during my down time However, expectations often leave one disappointed. I downloaded the game; purchased a home; began remodeling it; I then left the game, came back, and everything I had done on the game was completely gone. I then wanted to start again... I found one of the homes that were available to “buy” and it wouldn’t allow me to purchase. It would show me details of the house, and allow me to explore the floor plan, as well as look at the problem areas. It wouldn’t allow me to “buy” the home. I was pressing the “buy” button, and nothing would happen. I would enjoy this game bc of my line of work as a designer. There were other issues I had when I was able to interact. They seem trivial now. As most games want you to spend your own money to finish tasks faster and to move along in the game in lieu of waiting. The graphics are great and the options of finishes are fantastic. I debated whether or not to write a review, but hopefully if I’m not the only one having this issue, it can be resolved. *Edited* I couldn’t find the house that I had previously bought and started to flip; however, I deleted the game, and downloaded it again. It works perfectly! Thanks again! I also have given it a 5 star-rating. Great job!

Please read if your considering getting the game. I love this game so much! I like the job of interior design so I feel as if it’s helping me a lot. I’ve tried many other of these games and they have not worked as well as this one. All they did was had the house prepared perfectly renovated. I found that very annoying because I couldn’t design it on my own. This game is not at all like those ones. It’s has where you get offers on the house and you can accept it or reject it. You can also boost up levels so fast if you put your heart and mind into your designs. Also before I got the game I read a couple reviews and I found them interesting. After I got the game and played it all the time, I found those reviews absolutely not true. There was one saying the offers were bad. Some saying the game was bad. But if they got the other games I tried they would pick this one as the best. I just think they should have played it more and longer before writing a review that’s not true. Anyways, I loved this game! But I think to make this game even better if you could add one special thing. At least add a place to get free hearts if you watch like a video or play a game like the elbow grease. Anyways, thank you so much for this game and if you improve it! I love it!

Enjoy this game despite some bugs. I've been playing this game for a few weeks now and I've really enjoyed it. It's one of very few games I will occasionally spend money on. However, it's had some bugs that are starting to hurt the experience. Sometimes the map button in the lower right-hand corner is out of place and you can't fix it without totally restarting the app. I'll get notifications for bids on houses when I gave none for sale. Most importantly - and what might prompt me to stop playing if it goes on too long - my houses will say they're one income type at purchase and throughout renovating, and then show up as a different income type at time of sale. It's really frustrating to put the effort and money into a very high income renovation and then have it sold at medium- or low-income. This sounds like a small thing, but working your way to in this game is the point, and you can't when all your houses are selling for less than they're worth. I've now renovated 4+ "high income" houses that sold as very low, low, or medium income. Please fix this! Thank you.

This is just Ok.. Again, like everyone else, I love the TV show but the game needs a little more to it. I know the goal is for you to earn money and to make us buy stuff but usually the beginning of the game should try to pull you in. This game, you try to anything and you have to wait 5 to 15 minutes before it’s complete and there is nothing else to do but wait. So I leave this game and move on to a different game. After a few days of this, I’m bored with this game. I need something else to keep my interest. The play time is way too slow. I wish you have a mini game or something else to do while you wait besides watch videos. I know I am a cheap person when it comes to games. I try not to buy anything but that is because of my budget. There are many others out there the will buy in-app purchases but even doing that you wait for too much to move inside this game. I wish you good luck. I will check it out in between my other games but since I’m bored with it, I know I’ll just stop coming back. The game idea is cute. Hopefully the future improvements will keep players coming back.

House flipper game. I really enjoy the game BUT you guys need new updates where you can smash walls so you can have a more open concept a Layout for the home . And you guys also need to be able to let the consumer (renovate and decorate any room of the house ) let them do it in their way because they’re the ones flipping the house so basically it’s a game where you can’t flip houses on your own . Also you can flip houses but if you need to smash walls and decorate however you want then you should have more then two options for the renovations not just modern and traditional and you guys need to be able to let the consumer which is the gamer to be able to renovate however they want meaning if they want to renovate the bathroom and the garage or the laundry room or make an outside Garden then you need to let them do that .I have or they want instead of saying well you can only renovate the bathroom in this house and only renovate the garage in another house and on this house just renovate one room . House clippers need more freedom

Fun game take a chance judge it yourself!!!. Listen I’m not a person to write reviews I just read them before doing a game or anything for that matter but this game is fun!!!! I played a lot of other games that take forever to get anywhere and this game Is completely different... it only been about a week and I’m well far in this game ( it could be I just can’t set it down) but that what I like once you get started and you just know how to play you moved very fast... now other reviewers said you can’t earn heart and elbow grease that is WRONG... if you play and pay attention to the goals and achievements in the game you can earn heart I have not have to buy any heart I have 5 worker and I’m in the third city... and each city you get 5 worker and that makes it fun.. elbow grease now I had to buy more Elbow grease ( not with my own money) just heart that you earn a lot of when you play and completely task... but that’s it and that cause I play and completely a lot house at once... also there booster that makes the other project goes a lot faster.. and if you beat the Competition that they have you get nice boost to help you moved along the game a lot faster but you do have to have a little patients and you have to play it.:. It is fun give a try and just learn about the game and just pay attention and if you do then you will like this game if not then it not meant for you... also 10 a month help you moved so much faster and I don’t mind paying it at all..

Could Use Work. I really enjoy this game on the surface - getting to redesign and flip houses in various cities. But there is a monotony to everything. You don’t have a wide variety of interior design options, so you’re stuck using the same handful of colors repeatedly and can’t customize anything (and even if you spend more money to do a nicer set up, it doesn’t impact the asking prices, apparently). You even end up doing the same houses over and over again in some of the areas. I don’t mind the wait time - I can put it down after a few minutes and start a new task - but I’d love to be able to do and customize more and just generally have more options. I also definitely have a problem with not having enough “sweat” to get work done in the game. You can use hearts to buy more sweat, but then you run low on hearts and never get to build up to buy more contractors, which gets you tears faster - it’s a constant cycle. The sweat is mostly a problem in Seattle for me, where it can cost upwards of 60,000 or 80,000 to do most tasks. It’ll take me days to finish one house because it’ll take so long to get enough sweat to finish all the tasks, and that doesn’t even include things I WANT to do, like repainting rooms that don’t “need” it.

Wow. Really.. Okay so I got this game kind of aiming for one of those games like dinner dash or one of those “my story” games. A fun game you can play on end and grow and grow. Usually those games I can only go sooo far because you have to pay in diamonds or jewels or some type of upgraded cash. In this game it’s “hearts.” Usually I stop playing either because I don’t want to spend money out of my pocket for it, or i can’t do anything with what I have and it’s no longer fair nor fun. This is game is SO not like that. I’ve been playing for WEEKS now. Still not dissatisfied. They make it easy for you to get hearts and cash and upgrades. For you to grow. If you’re sitting waiting to finish the whole game in ten minutes you’ll be disappointed. But that’s what makes it so fun you have a to wait a few minutes or an hour to get what you need. So i go go work or School and im like “okay i have to get this or can’t wait to check in on it.” I know it sounds lame but it’s legit true. I actually sit in my car and think this lol. This is a good game and fun ESPECIALLY if you like to decorate stuff. Idk about the old comments or whats been up to date but as of right now this game literally has no faults.

Update is glitchy and I can’t play anymore but plenty of issues before that. I was playing it and did the new update and it was working fine for a day then it started glitching where I would finish renos and start new ones and the app would close and the elbow grease and money from the new Reno would be taken out but the new one won’t have started yet. Then today I tried to open it and it won’t open and it prompts me to update to the latest app and when I try it says I already have the update. So who knows. The game was already getting frustrating by the excessive wait times 9 hours for an appliance or cabinet/counter Reno. Like I could go out and redo my real life home in that time. It’s a game not a real life simulation. Then the times are inconsistent. Small bathroom takes 40 minutes to paint and a large one takes 23 and a door takes an hour. 35 minutes for a bowl of fruit to be set on the counter. The house trees used to give elbow grease and sometimes hearts but now they just give money. Elbow grease takes forever to load. The amount of hearts some things take is obnoxious (100 hearts to put a bowl of fruit on a counter quicker). Like the more you play it’s clearly just a money grab to get us to buy hearts. Then if you want to go the ad way instead of the pay way you “run out of ads” after just a few times each day. Either way they make money so that makes no sense to limit out ads.

Games should be fun. This isn’t a game. Games have challenges, and rewards. This “game” has you tap a room that has been decided for you (bathroom or kitchen as needing remodeling), pick something that it has already decided for you (fix the cabinets or replace the toilet) and select a color that has no bearing on the outcome of the game. If you pick a white toilet or a black one it doesn’t change the value of the house. Then - you wait 2-5 minutes. That’s it. Repeat a few times until your house is sellable and sell it for a minor profit, then do it again. You can unlock videos of the Gaines’ telling you info about cabinets and design... but if you have watched their show you probably know much of what they have to say. There is a mini “game” which is a random bingo game. Again, no skill and no fun. I don’t know what the appeal is here and I would be upset if I were them that this is what made it out of development. It should have the fun of demo - let us smash cabinets, walls, tiles! It should have actual design choices. Let me browse Joanna’s warehouse and choose a couch or some vases. Let me try to paint a wall and get points for picking colors that match my couch. It should have a budget we need to follow to maximize profit in the neighborhood. It has nothing remotely appealing and I am deleting it now.

love it, but there is one thing that disappoints me. First off, I love fixer upper and this game is literally something I’ve been wanting forever in the sense of an app that draws me in and that I genuinely love playing. I’m already so addicted to this that it’s taking all I have to not spend actual money on this, which is where my issue comes in. Being someone who just reached Phoenix, I’m realizing this game is starting to become a “pay to enjoy” kind of thing. An hour to install cabinets? That’s insane. Waiting an hour for each thing to finish so I can progress is crazy and makes it really hard for me to hold interest. Especially since the hours seem to keep rising with each city. What happens after Phoenix? Am I going to have to wait 3-4 hours for something as simple as wall paint? It’s almost like they know this and want you to spend the money on hearts rather than making an enjoyable game. If it were more realistic in the sense of progression, I would happily spend the money, but $20 + dollars to get the amount of hearts I need to fulfill jobs without having to wait hours? No thank you.

Needs some tweaking but fun.. I’ve been playing for a bit now and it’s fun. Interesting places and takes a bit of learning yet not too difficult. I’ll be happy once I’ve earned more colors and different styles as it can get dull using the same things over and over. Though I do enjoy different combinations and trying to get some creative looks. Never tried selling a basic fix up as I can’t have mixed up paint and flooring so I don’t know if it really makes a difference when selling. I do have a couple of annoyances. For instance, I don’t know who was in charge of lighting, especially the sconces, but either they were being lazy or just didn’t care. I don’t know how many times I’ve simply just put the floor lamp in because the sconces were ridiculously placed. Annoying as they are the second option and you can’t option out of them in the later options. I’ve also noticed some pendants now are poorly placed. Wonder what else I’ll find as I progress. I guess if I had one thing I’d like to see it would be more choice in what I want in the plumbing and lighting section Well if you made it through all that, I still highly recommend this game. 🙂

Could be so much better. I love Chip and Jo, and have even driven 5 hours from my house to go to Waco. With that being said, this game is nothing like I expected. It’s the same paint colors, the same staging options, the same thing over and over again. And the suggestions don’t help, at all. I’ve watched every single video and none of it seems to matter. The colors don’t have to match, the materials don’t even matter. Even in medium income neighborhoods, if I use medium income materials, I barely make a profit. I’ve never made 20k in profit and I’m in the 4th city. No one ever gets up to my asking price even when I use cheap materials. And one of the videos said the more needs you meet, the more the buyer offers. That’s completely not true. All of the offers are totally random. The ONE time someone offered me above asking price, which I have no clue why they did because it was a basic remodel like I do on every house, they only met one requirement! So none of the tips seems to matter, nothing you do in this game matters at all. Even the tip saying hotter weather gets you better offers is a lie, it just decreases the wait time. I don’t understand the point of this game, it has literally no goal whatsoever. Sure, you unlock more cities. But even there, you don’t get your asking prices and you only make a slightly greater profit. I’m so disappointed with this game and have too many complaints and suggestions to go into one review.

Updates have spoiled the game.. I used to enjoy playing this game. But it seems every update brings new annoyances to it. The decor has, in MANY cases gotten ugly! It used to be kinda fun to try to make a pretty house. And it could be done. Not anymore. The flooring updates in this latest version are SO ugly and completely unrealistic. And don’t get me started on the marble for countertops and floors! In fact, the only countertops I’ve seen that actually look better would be level 3 granite. After I reached Dublin I took a break from the game. I got tired of voting on other players designs. It seemed very few players tried to make their houses look nice. Ugly is not fun. I opened the game the other day to see what was new and saw they finally added fireplaces, but also three new cities! With that many new cities it’s surprising they would make so many changes to their decor. Maybe the surge in expansion is to blame for such lousy changes. My houses that I’d left completed but unsold were disgusting to look at since the “upgrade” made the design elements I’d chosen incompatible. I’m in the process of selling off all my houses with the idea I will most likely delete the game when this Profit Ladder is over. It just isn’t fun anymore. Also—the new mini-games are not fun either. The animations, as with all other animations in this game are WAY too slow. I’ve given the game two stars instead of one, because after playing it for two years or more, it’s a little hard to delete it.

Loved at first. My family has this game, we all do love this game. However, after you get to your 4th and 5th city it gets very difficult to keep up with elbow grease. It also takes a lot of time to finish a house, even if you watch the videos. I have only sold one house above suggested price, I get low balled all the time and I have let my offers go to over a dozen offers. This is even when the market is supposed to be hot. The BIG issue I have right now, I have done the same house 4 times. Same improvements etc.. and it does not save them when I leave the game. Takes me back to the exact same place before I did them, right where I was when I bought the house! All that time, and I do mean time cause I’d go broke buying hearts to finish quickly if I did not spend the time and I’m still only on 3 workers as I cannot afford anymore. This is a great game but needs improvement. Someone actually make a great game like this that we can play, not go broke and make some progress and have some fun please. Please fix the glitches that will not save my game, I just gave my house up, sold it and went back to Waco to try. 🙁

Good concept but could be better. I’ll start by saying the game has me addicted 🤭 but there needs to be some improvements, and could use a few others as well. First the needs, there’s a issue when say I’m painting the exterior of a house, the game may show it in the little Notification Center that I’m putting flooring in the bathroom. That issue should get fixed for sure as well as the videos you can watch to take time off of the renovation, I’m super happy they are there but sometimes it won’t give me the option to watch(and no I haven’t used all the times you can watch a video) and others it will say no videos to see at this time or that it cannot find a video. Those are my two biggest issues. Other things that could be improved on would be the design maybe add the option to remove a wall or change the layout, and add more options for “staging” as well as lighting and plumbing. Over all the game is fun and I haven’t ran into the issue where I have to use my actual money to purchase hearts, you just have to play the game. Sorry the river is so long but it’s thorough. Thanks chip and joe the game is fun #demoday #shiplap :) Random add on...I’ve completed several of the task and it still will not let me collect the hearts it offers. Somebody please help me

I love this game!!!. I love playing this game almost as much as I’ve enjoyed watching the show! One complaint, is it’s kind of annoying to have a target price & no one is actually bidding anywhere NEAR that price. I’m selling homes for $30,000 less than I EVER would in real life. I know this is a game but that’s still annoying. My target price is $435,000 & every single offer (I went up to 15 offers because I kept being lowballed) were EXTREMELY low. I just settled for $408,000 because I wanted to move on & continue to play. I don’t know if that’s a glitch or what. I do love this game so much though. The many opportunities to gain elbow grease & hearts are astounding to me. not only that but I love that you guys have made this game so easy to never spend money on, all my other games tend to be money hungry (Supercity) but not this game. I love that I don’t spend any money trying to keep up with this game. One more thing that’s annoying, the video glitches for ads. I spend just as much time waiting for the ads to work as I do actually playing the game. I love this game, there are just a few minor tweaks that need to be done & this game would be perfection.

Fun but eventually too expensive to play.. I noticed that the age limit on this game was 4 years old and up, really? I mean this game will only frustrate a 4 year old when they have 5 workers and can’t afford the elbow grease to do anything. I am a grown adult and have been playing this game for awhile and my impression of it was great at first, then I realized the real purpose of it, not for us to have fun, but for the creators to make lots of money. At first all of the decorating and renovating is really fun, moving up in decor and cities, but with each advancement, came a huge cost. I have five workers in three different towns and I can’t keep up with the elbow grease costs, for instance, in Waco it cost maybe a few hundred to paint a door, in Chicago it costs 65 thousand to paint a door. Appliances and other items cost nearly a million in elbow grease. I have tried to continue enjoying the game but I think its wasting my free time as waiting 2 and a half days for one task to finish while 3 workers can’t be used due to cost, yes, it’s actually wrong to make stuff cost that much. I bought hearts once or twice just to continue playing, a 4 year old can’t or won’t be allowed to do that. It’s a fun relaxing game, too bad it becomes too costly to play. Take the review as you will, just being honest.

Fun start & so much potential. I had been hoping a game would come out that emulates what Chip & Jo do on their show! It’s been a fun start so far, but there’s still so much potential for this game to become a total hit. The app itself is designed wonderfully. It’s easy to use and the details are lovely. However, it’s a bit repetitive and lacks variety/player choice. I kinda wish it was more like the show. Where clients come to you and then you find them a home and design to their likes/wants. It would provide more of a challenge aspect to the game. I would also like to see more player control. The pre-set layouts and designs are a bit of a drag. You should be able to mix and match while selecting the elements you actually want in the room. It gets boring to see the same set design over and over again. For example, having to have cabinet lights and wall scones just to add a ceiling fan. I would prefer being able to select and add the exact elements I choose. Same concept for the design items. I’ve only just begun playing, and I know it’s still a new game, so I’m sure improvements are on the way! Can’t wait to see what’s in store.

Not Great. I really wanted to like this game, (since I love the t.v.) show, but I do not. Graphically the game looks great, and is very polished, but the gameplay is sooo boring! I have played enough of these type of games that require you to spend gems, hearts, diamonds, etc., to know not to use them all up right away. If you do, you will pretty much be done with the demo game, unless you make an ingame purchase. I understand that the whole object of creating these apps is to create revenue for the developers, it is expensive to create these, and it’s fair to drive people into purchases at some point. However..... just to start this game, it took me almost two hours of play time, just to buy, reno, and sell my first house, for a profit of 5,000 (and I followed all of the advice). On my very first house, the completion timers were insane for first level play. Thanks Hung for always having someone respond to feedback under your account! That alone makes me want to check out your other apps. This game however, I will not come back to later, to see if there are improvements, since I already wasted to much time on it, when there has been plenty of feedback saying the same thing about the timers. If you really wanted to fix those, you would have already done so in a small update, that included no other changes.

Addition to previous review response. So, I wrote a review complaining about half of the items being locked and when you get to that level and the response I received was that the devs added two more to each one so while you’d unlock each level it’s the “same as before” That is completely incorrect. It’s scary the CSRs don’t understand how the game works, for the record... I just got to level 5 of landscaping and there are two choices (two are locked) we’ve ALWAYS had 4 choices in categories like flooring, landscaping, paint, etc. worked ridiculously long to finally unlock a new level and only half are available. The ones that previously had two at each level ( cabinets) still only have two. Not sure what was “added” ... only taken away. I have gotten the MAX houses in (3) cities so far — so no more mystery crates for me in those cities and have yet to unlock any of the specs or colors that are locked. I have opened 28 mystery crates and everything remains locked (it’s only boosters after the first one or two crates) explain how you get the locked half of paint, roof, floors, landscaping, etc. when they aren’t in the crates and not auto opened anymore when you finally reach that level.

Really love this game, but.... I really enjoy this game. I like the challenges and the balance of figuring out prospective buyer style and budget. Like some of the previous reviews I have read, I have reached a stage where the tasks are extremely time consuming and despite having 6 contractors, I find myself leaving the game so I don’t have to wait out the 2-9 hour tasks. I do appreciate the feature of being able to watch ads to reduce wait time, but have found some of the ads freeze the game and when I force close and come back I have sometimes lost progress. I have also encountered problems with game freezing when trying to list a house and having the same problem of losing progress. Despite these issues, I still really love the game. In addition to fixing the bugs I have listed, I would suggest also adding more to the achievements feature. I’m kinda stuck right now since the only achievements I have left are to unlock cities or visit landmarks (which I have to unlock cities to do) and that takes a very long time. I would appreciate rewards for visiting more open houses and selling more houses than the 100 it caps at.

I tried but couldn’t even start the game?. Thus looked like an interesting game app I saw highlighted recently in the daily Apples App so I downloaded it. Today I went to play it and was able to but my first house however when I was instructed to buy the exterior paint from the to-do-list while still being guided by the walk through “how to play” finger, I kept trying to select the paint I was prompted to but it wouldn’t select? I was stuck there and couldn’t move forward with the game? I’ll keep the app open for a day and check if the creators have left me a reply how to resolve this so I can actually play since it does look like it may be a good game and if there is a way to actually play it for free. If I don’t see a reply I will just delete it and move on to one of the other new games I have to try. I’ve been s daily Angry Birds 2 playing it everyday now for years. Im burnt out on it honestly so I need a break from it. I state that because if aI find a great game, that doesn’t cost more than s fee dollars a month, I am a very loyal player so you might of lost me before I even could play and see if this was my next favorite. If it’s something simple and user error, something I’m doing wrong, I apologize, either way though, I look forward to your reply with the steps I need to move in your game. Thank you for taking the time to read my reply.

Was having fun.. but now disappointed. The game is great. Super fun. But there are some fixes- first off, 35 minutes to place TWO BOWLS OF FRUIT IN THE KITCHEN?! What the crap? At the same time, I also put a new sink in the kitchen. 23 minutes. How is possible it takes longer to put two BOWLS OF FRUIT on the counter than it does to put in a new sink?! Also, I got to the third city.. bought my first house. Went into it with a little under $240k. Cheapest house was $203k-ish. I had like $30k to renovate this huge house. Got half way through and have $787 left. There’s no way to buy more money or get a loan or, heck, even trade my hearts in. I didn’t do anything extra to the house as I knew I had a TIGHT budget. Now I’m just stuck in the middle of this half finished house. Completely disappointed as I was really getting into it. Easy to earn hearts. Finally was able to get a third contractor and try to make a good profit off a new house. That’s another thing- you should be able to compare offers at least two or three at a time. The most I ever made off a house in the first two cities was $8k. Also, maybe some interactive games or jobs to earn more money on the side or win more elbow grease. There is a lot of waiting around if you don’t use your hearts to finish things faster. Great ideas though.

Sounds more fun than it really is. I have been playing for about a month and while at first it's easy to unlock more levels and new cities, the game gets monotonous fast. I wish there were more options during the staging instead of 2 colors. The most irritating thing about this game is the offers you get from buyers are rarely close to your target and almost always are low budget vs the budget range that you're given when making your repairs. I've flipped nearly 80 houses and I can count all the times I've received offers over ask on one hand. Most are so below target it's closer to 40% of the target profit shown when you list your property if not below what you've spent. The amount you spend on upgrades and staging doesn't matter. It would be more realistic if we could counter a bid, because that's how the real world operates when selling a home; even eBay lets you counter lol. It would also be useful to be able to see your actual stats at a glance. Such as total homes sold, amount spent, total profit, etc. You know, the actual things serious house flippers would keep track of.

I’m a bit disappointed 😔. So yes I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CHIP AND JO...BUT...their App is a bit of a bummer...I love the way that you can be creative and create your own property but a little disappointed with the fact that you’re only able to gain more 💗 or 💧 if you purchase them. I’ve played a few designer games and have had the option to gain more points by watching a 30 second video to achieve that. But with this App you’re only able to gain more 💧 is to use your 💗 to purchase them.. or go to the Magnolia market or see the new homes and hit the magnolia tree for sale OR to purchase them with your own money 💵..so yes you’re able to design a new home but only if you have enough 💧 to proceed and if you don’t have enough 💗 to increase the amount of 💧 to pay your contractors, than you’re basically going to wait FOREVER to move forward..OR pay your way through then next levels..AGAIN..I love the Gains but they claim that their “Magnolia” empire is unknown to their children but they’re taking advantage of their fans. If they didn’t want to be sell outs and take advantage of their followers, they wouldn’t have an in App purchase game. Sorry..BUT YES VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR APP AND MAY NOT WATCH THEIR SHOW ANYMORE..you shouldn’t take advantage of your fans..you should get some in app advertisements to keep your App going, not make your fans addicted to your App and expect them to pay to play your App. 😔😔😔😔

I really love it, for the most part.. In general, I like the pace of the game. It doesn’t bother me how long jobs take because I play the game in 5 minutes bursts throughout the day since I work a lot in real life. I love the new update—more color options and the pendant lights option in the kitchen are really nice. 👌🏻 My only real complaint is how hard it is to progress through San Diego. I’m earning 7,000 Elbow Grease/hour (3 contractors), but a lot of the jobs cost 120,000 each to perform. Sometimes, I go back to Waco or Kansas City to flip houses just to build up stock in Elbow Grease for a little while. Maybe, this is intentional by the game developers. Maybe, they wanted to slow down how fast some of us were progressing through the cities, but it makes me not want to flip any houses in San Diego at all. I also wish maybe there were more Chip & Jo videos later on in the game, or at the very least, have the option to go back and rewatch the videos we’ve unlocked. Apart from that, I really like this game. It’s one of only two games that I keep on my phone. For a free game, it’s honestly really great, and any Fixer Upper/Magnolia fan would definitely appreciate it.

Fun at first, but becomes monotonous. I like that this game is an actual house flipping game, not a match 3 puzzle game with design elements (such as property brothers game or homescapes, etc). Unfortunately the very limited design choices make it boring after a while. You basically end up flipping the same house over and over. The new color choices they added are not great, and because I have to now “earn” the extra color slots I actually have less options for now than I did previously. The staging is an area that could use actual choices, not 4 variations of the same thing in similar colors. The challenges make it at least different, but you never know when they are because it says none scheduled until a few hours before it starts. The last update has also made game play slow down, it now takes effort to get a specific room to open/zoom in (the circle crashes constantly leaving you zoomed out), it doesn’t respond when you try to choose options, the menus take a while to load and it is all very choppy compared to previous versions. I appreciate the effort they focus on trying to continuously improve on the game, it just doesn’t have enough to keep things interesting for a long amount of time.

The New Update. The new update is what we’ve all been requesting, being able to style/stage the rooms with our own mix/match style instead of the preset staging, however one of the problems I’ve noticed was the floor plants, the houses I’ve already styled that had hallway floor plants, were replaced with coat hanging floor items which is not what I had *before* the update, then I noticed all of the floor plants have been removed from the staging in all of the homes… also, the styling stage, I max out all styling stages, but after the update, the game knocked me down to level 6, on every single styling stage, after working hard to max the styling stage I don’t understand why knock us down from max, to level 6 making it difficult to get back to our previous level… again, the new update is cool, but the glitches are noticeable. Also, as for the squad, I got my squad all the way to the Champion division league, however, after the update, the game reset us all the way down to the last division of “minor level 3” the glitches make the game unfavorable to play especially the glitch with the squad division, all that work for nothing? All the money spent on hearts for nothing? Doesn’t seem right

It’s Getting Better!. Update: I gave a 3 star review the first time but have changed my review to a 4 star. With the last update the mini game is a lot better and your chances of winning are greater. The videos no longer crash. It’s definitely on its way to a 5 Star review! I was very excited to play this game and I do like playing the game. However, there are a few things that I feel could be better. 1st - I’m not sure why the videos error out when you try to speed up a project, but if there are not anymore videos to help out speed up a project then we shouldn’t be able to select that as an option, maybe that option should be grayed out- just a suggestion. 2nd it would be a lot more fun if you could purchase and renovate more than one house at a time. 3rd - the matching game has no rhyme or reason behind it and it is very random, it really depends on how lucky you are at guessing. It should be more easier then it currently is, give your players more wins and chances to win so they will play more! If even a few of these suggestions are applied I will change my rating to 4 maybe even a 5 star rating.

Please fix it!. Hi! Thanks so much but can you please please take care of the problem where every three minutes you get kicked out of the app! I also think you should have more options of furniture and be able to take out walls. It is a really really great game! Also could we see the people who buy the house looking around and have kind of like a open house added to it? I think that would be kind of cool. I also think you should be able to add paintings to the walls and decide where you want the couches and lighting to be. And can we also see the workers working? That would be very very cool. I also think that you should be able to decide how your house is designed and where to put the walls. I also think you should be able to customize the bedroom so that you can make them for kids or adults and put stuffed animals on the floor and things like that. I also think it would be very very cool if you could go upstairs and downstairs and maybe put in some stairs and maybe also be able to put down carpeting. And also when you design in the house I think it would be very cool if we were able to see other houses around it and maybe put up signs around it for us for an open house in and be able to tell the virtual people all about the house and stuff. Please fix this app because I love this game and I don’t want to have to stop playing it because it keeps kicking me out or because there isn’t enough things to put in the house.

Ideas for the game. Id like to see the game get new colors and designs for each modern, traditional, mid century, and french decor. Id also like to see backsplash added to the game. Also would like to be able to work on more than one home at a time. If I have the money I should be able to do that. I’m more into design so it be nice to pick the pieces I want to use similarly to the way Joanna does it on her show if possible. I was curious if the staging of the house makes a difference to how high or low the offers are I receive? Also I think it would be a good idea to add wall removal and re-organizing the rooms in the house to make more since. That way the master bedrooms are not connected to the only full bathroom and aren’t the smallest rooms in the house. Also changing the floors to match the whole house should increase the value of the home not lowball my offers because they weren’t necessary to fix or “extras”. It’s a pet peeve of mine to see a house and all floors are different in every room! Thanks nice game though looking forward to the updates!

Absolutely Love The New Update. I know a lot of people are complaining and I can understand if they are having technical difficulties, unfortunately sometimes that comes with updates. However regarding the update in general, I think it’s amazing. I don’t miss the mini game, I don’t feel a need to speed up jobs, I set up jobs in one city move to the next, set up jobs there move to the next and continually do this through all 7 cities. By the time I’m done one has turned yellow and I’m back checking on that one, then another one has turned yellow and I’m checking on that one, it keeps me so busy it’s wonderful. I would also like to take the time to thank everyone who put so much hard work into this update I know it wasn’t easy and I know you can’t please everyone but I think you have done a great job trying. Once again more people will take the time to come on and complain then they will to come on in thank you for all of your efforts. Keep up the good work and try not to let the negativity get to you.

Final updated review. Final updated- It now takes around 5 days to complete a house, because of the elbow grease amounts required vs amounts generated. (Example) in 8-9 hours I get about 300K elbow grease, kitchen counters are 386K elbow grease. My Max capacity for elbow grease at my stage of the game is 1Mil (or very close to it), yet my silos CAP my elbow grease at 441K, making it impossible to allow your elbow grease to fully regenerate while you’re asleep or away from your game for 8-10hours. I say this is my final review because I’m going to delete the game, it’s becoming pay to play, all the houses are the same, just getting more expensive for nothing. This game turned out to be a real disappointment. Lesson learned -Original Review So, like any update there are some good, and bad. I’m finding more bad than good unfortunately. The mini game has changed in a way to be less effective, since it no longer speeds up any construction/staging. You can only speed up watching ads, and those won’t work half the time, so you have to wait 9hrs for some countertops and it takes 3 days to flip a high end house. At that point it’s not exactly attention grabbing. The amount of elbow grease required for things is a bit much, especially with the regeneration rate being so slow. Again, adds in to the wait. Flipping multiple houses is a nice feature, and the new interface is nice. But the overall functionality of the game has decreased in my opinion.

Love this game. This game is definitely one of my favorite ways to kill time. There are very few issues I have run into, and the game is amazing. I would say that some of the effects take a while to complete and add kind of annoying after a while. I would like to be able to start renovations as quick as possible, and that isn’t as quick as I would like. The selection is amazing, and there are no levels I have to beat to keep playing. Some of the renovations do take an insanely long time, but I love that I can have multiple going at once so I can continue to make money off smaller houses while still working on larger ones. I also really like that I earn hearts and capital almost all the time, so I don’t get stuck on something and have to buy currency or run out halfway through. One of my favorite new features is that I can see how much my house is worth and plan further renovations based off that. I would totally recommend this game to anyone that asked.

Need a little more clarification. I like the app, but a little more direction would go a long way. For example, when selling a house it says you are aiming for 10%, but the best I have seen is around 7.5% to 8%. Is there something I can do extra that will get to the 10% without costing the difference? Sometimes the first offer is the best, but once you let it expire to see the next offer, you can't go back. I think you should be able to choose the best of at least 2 or 3. It doesn't seem like the offer values change much whether you are in a cold market or a market on fire, it appears to only change the time between waiting for offers. I would think if the market was on fire I would get closer to the asking price, and in some cases even better than. Also, once you get to higher levels you use the elbow grease so quickly, it becomes a long waiting game. I understand the purpose of the game is to make money for the creators, but how much do I have to spend on one house, or how long do I have to wait? On other games, when you are waiting for something to build, there is still other activities to occupy the time. This one, you just exit the app and go do something else.

WAY TOO SLOW. Developers need too shorten the time it takes to flip a house, BIG TIME. It starts out fun but with each new city, it takes longer and longer to complete the renovations and staging. I am currently flipping in San Diego. I had to renovate the kitchen cabinets & countertops and replace the kitchen appliances - EACH at 6 hours and EACH using 168,000 of elbow grease. Plus there was replacing the laundry appliances at 4 hours and 120,000 points of elbow grease. I didn’t have nearly enough elbow grease to do all of this, so I used hearts at the store and filled up my elbow grease to approx 750,000 points. I started doing the kitchen and realized the hours now jumped to 13 hours to complete EACH of the three kitchen items and now 9 hours for the laundry appliances. NOBODY wants to wait that long to play this type of game. This doesn’t even include the other items that needed improvement, of which there were 10 more, plus the 13 more items for staging. The fun is to decide how to improve things and then flip the House. For a game, and to keep the interest level, nobody wants to wait 2 days before they can flip one house. That is absolutely ridiculous. If this continues, I am done playing.

Growing bored. I have been playing this game off and on for about a year or so now and I finally got to Miami. Some of the features I could honestly care less about...like the constant competitions or the portion that lets you rate other designs. I know game improvements are being made with new styles and such but here’s why I’m growing bored. The repetitive floor plans are the biggest let down! I was excited when the big update was done to show new homes...until I realized it’s a new outside but the inside is the same boring floor plan as another. I finally finished up New Orleans and got to Miami and was again excited to finally get some new houses to flip but once again, new outsides, same boring floor plans. It seems the creators of the game have lost creativity and are more focused on adding new features that don’t really mean a whole lot. The other thing is that I flip houses to the point that mystery boxes are given and I’ve stopped receiving new colors, floorings, etc. and only get boosters anymore. I still have a lot of colors to unlock so I don’t know why this happens but it’s yet one more thing that just makes me not want to play anymore. I hope more changes come that make the game fun again. Until then I’ll be setting it on the back burner.

Could be better. I really love the show so when I saw the game I was super excited to download it . I’ve been playing for the past week and I feel like it’s a game I will continue to play . Although there are a few things that could be improved . Such as earning more elbow grease and hearts . It takes way too much elbow grease and too little contractors . It also takes way too long for the some of the projects to get done so I have to use my hearts but then I run out and the only way to get more is by purchasing (which is understandable, you have to make money) but it is pretty expensive or by completing tasks (which I can’t finish) . There are also not very many tasks and it takes a while to complete the ones they already give you so I’m left with nothing to spend or no hearts to complete projects . Another thing would be the reoccurring elbow grease . I think it would be better if it reoccurred ever hour or so and it give you more . Instead of it reoccurring every few seconds and only giving you a little . I personally don’t want to sit there all day collecting elbow grease . It would also be nice to add extra games or tasks to earn more . The graphics are great but could be a bit more realistic when it comes to going into the homes and decorating. I really love the game and hope it continues . I personally would spend money on the game but it is expensive

Amazing just needs to improve. This is an amazing game!! In my Personal opinion I think it is so fun! It is always opened and loads fast and it’s so fun! The reason why I got this game is to build the house and I inspected it to be not as fun as it is! I could play it all the time! That is how fun it is but... It needs 2 improvements. In my opinion I think it needs to be a little bit more fast while building the house because when I am building once I had to wait an hour for the floors to change and I kinda thought that was ridiculous! It is still a amazing game though! The 2nd improvement it needs is so in my opinion I think that it glitches so much and takes me off the game and then I need to go back on and sometimes if there is something loading like For an example if I can get my paint in 3 minutes sometimes it moves to like 20 so it is kinda annoying but overall it is definitely amazingly fun and good! To be honest it is one of my favorite games and my sister even likes it too! Whoever made this game is Awesome! Tony and Mia, Thank you for guiding me through this game because I would probably have no idea what to do if you guys, Tony and Mia did not guide me! I love you guys as game makers whoever made it! Xoxoxoxo!♥️❤️😍👍🏻😘💕

One of a kind. I have both praise and criticism to include in this review. This is the first game that closely mimics real house house flipping considerations (to my knowledge) in the App Store. It’s graphics, 3D animations and attention to detail are impressive. There are even some cool “Easter eggs”/gee wiz facts to learn. My only disappointment with this game is: incredibly long wait times. I’m at the point in the game where all 5 of my available simultaneous repairs are taking over an hour. And it would cost 20+ hearts to speed up. Finding a buyer at the right price point can also take well over an hour. I tell myself that I’m gonna go to another app or watch a Netflix show and then get back to this game, but before I know it, a whole day passes and I forgot to go back to the game. Thus, my forward progression is greatly stalled. Two weeks after downloading this app, I have concerns about whether or not I will keep playing it. Overall, great game. Great way to apply certain principles of house flipping. The long wait times would normally earn this app a 3 star review, but the graphics, planning, and overall development that went into this app raise my rating to 4 stars.

Extremely Angry. The game says the more you fit the buyers’ preferences, the higher their biddings will be. Well that is absolutely not the case at all!! I invest so much time and thoughts into every single renovation for my second house to match the neighborhood style and buyers taste. And when I put my pretty house on the market I was so happy and felt accomplished. The first offer has one preference match and gave me about 1k profit, I rejected it. The second offer gave me more than 10k profit, but only ONE preference matches with my house. So I thought maybe I’ll wait for other offers that matches 2 or even 3 preferences then I’ll get a even higher profit! so I passed the 10k. And guess what, my 3rd offer has two preferences match and gave me -2k (negative 2k!) profit! I rejected and waited. An hour passed by and I checked every single offer, I even used hearts to speed up a few because it’s so absurd that the offers seemed completely random! I passed more than 20 offers so far, the two best offers I received are from buyers that only matched one preferences, while those who matched all three only gave me a maximum of 4-5k profit (comparing to 10k+ from buyers who only matched one). So nothing I did actually mattered?? What on earth is the point of this game?? Why are the tutorials telling players tips/instructions that are in fact lies? I am so frustrated that this game could be so great but it almost “decided” not to be. I wanted to love this game so badly. Such a shame.

Ho Hum.. At first I was pretty excited about this game! Waco is a lot of fun and the pace is really fair. I had the ability to watch videos to bypass the time, used some hearts and made my way through the town fairly quick. I was offput by some app crashes, it crashed about 6-7 times through game play or would glitch out so you couldn’t play the mini game or watch a video at all unless you closed out and opened back up. Minor inconveniences but not deal breakers. Well, once I got to Kansas City the game took on a whole different vibe. Times tripled, grease cost doubled and the videos are ultra limited. Not sure if the videos not working is a glitch or they are trying to limit the amount of time you can shave off but I’ve only been able to watch maybe two videos throughout the whole upgrade of a house. I don’t really mind the wait but it feels impossibly long, especially while selling your house and you keep getting hit with way low ball offers (even if I use hearts to speed it up). I feel like Waco Catfished me. Like I see a really good looking game with strong qualities and a funny personality and then I go to meet them after investing my time and feelings and Kansas City Shows up in their 400 lb glory looking nothing like their picture and I’m horribly disappointed and can’t leave fast enough.

My heart says 5 stars!. I absolutely adore this game! The gameplay and graphics are incredibly thought out down to the details, you can tell a lot of genius, diligence, and care went into this game. The homebuyers and their bios are adorable! I've tried several apps with a similar premise and thus far, this is the only one that gets it right and is fun to get lost in. Previous reviews have complained about wait times for progression, but it's important to note that this game is free (In-app purchases apply, but not spending money doesn't seem to hinder enjoyable gameplay.); however, it is definitely on the level of games that cost money to download. Speeding everything up, to me, would take out a lot of the excitement to the game. That being said, there are quite a few glitches that need to be worked out. Currently, the game will frequently freeze or the tapping of an option will simply not work. A quick restart will generally solve those problems, but it can seem tedious when gameplay advances. I currently cannot even scroll the rewards panel to collect them and I need them to buy more cute decor for my homes! I look forward to continuing to progress through this and coming back to give it the rating it deserves once the issues are worked out.

Could be better. House flipping has always interested me so when this app advertised on Facebook there wasn’t any hesitation in downloading. The game itself took forever to load once the app was opened. After the demo was complete there was actually hearts and elbow grease left over and I didn’t feel like the game forced me to buy more to play like with some games I’ve played before with the same ideas. Ideas that I’ve had that would make the game better would be to purchase and work on more than one house at a time. If the market is cold and you don’t want to sell you just have to sit and wait. Another idea would be to have side games to get more hearts and elbow grease or games to make the offers appear faster. I’ve also had the problem with the game freezing a bunch or the game wouldn’t work how it’s supposed to. The game wouldn’t allow me to purchase paint at one point even though there were plenty of contractors and money so I’d exit the game and reopen and then the game would be fine. Also wish you could have a store where you could buy the things to stage the house with. Just a few ideas that could make the game sooo much better

A few things. I mean this politely, what’s the object of this game exactly? Where is the fun part, rather? I thought it was a game where earning profit and becoming a house flipping tycoon was an option, but I’ve reached a point in the game where I don’t have enough money to afford the houses on the level I’ve reached? Which isn’t the main issue I guess, it’s more so how this was created to even happen? I don’t understand the options of buying more expensive house fixtures if it doesn’t give me a better chance at offers closer to my selling price. There’s no option on whether to spend money on small things like a fruit or laundry basket, and buyers lowball you as if your listed price was merely decorative. At some point you fall into this tunnel where there’s not much clarity or direction on how to win, winning is actually an inferred concept like the light at the end, and you’re not actually feeling like you got much of a hold on things when you look up and see you’ve reached a new level but can’t indulge because the prior level forced you into a hole of unnecessarily staging a house and practically giving it away. If this was intended to be a game where players are supposed to simply enjoy the feel of everything, the graphics for the houses and furniture could enhance that. Visually, currently, it’s hard to appreciate the rehab theme due to the graphics. Where is the fun part of a game, if the images don’t at least capture you?

i need some help!. alright, i loooove this game. this game is so fun, but the only thing is that i am out of money (capitals). i have just tried to buy flooring for this house i am renovating in Arizona and when i go to buy the flooring i want it says i’m out of money but it’s like $150 or something, and i don’t think that it’s the right price. So, i have $586 or however much i have and i go to buy this $150 flooring but, when i got to do the same for another room it jumps to $600 something. Seems very reasonable at this price, but since i bought that $150 flooring for one room, it left me $64, then i went to buy that $600 flooring for another room, and it adds my total back to $586 or however much i have. ALSO, on the elbow grease thing, i went to refill my elbow grease and it only costed me 1 heart? and then when i use my hearts it only takes away 1 when it says it needs 4 hearts to be finished? please fix this or let me buy some capitals, i totally would. these glitches occurred when i bought more hearts and yes, i have deleted the game and reinstalled it, but it kept me where i was (not complaining about that!) please fix these glitches?

Addictive quirky game. Update: It’s pushing this new voting “tastemaker” nonsense in the game so hard. Taking play hostage. No thanks. “While your contractor works, come vote.” I have 4 other contractors to put to work. But now can’t get it to let me navigate back to what I was doing. Super annoying. Not a fun addition. Really detracts from the game. I am definitely hooked. Love creating new homes and moving up in access to new styles and finishes. But there are some quirks that can be frustrating. By the time you unlock Chicago, for example, some projects can take 12 hours. So you start it and go to bed and maybe look the next day. And there will be 4 paint choices per level, but two will be locked, seemingly forever. And the new voting element is a HUGE NO THANKS for me. I liked playing this in my own bubble of design fun. The leaderboard for sales was unnecessary but fine, but I absolutely do NOT like that they’ve come crashing in with people voting on our designs and we’re urged to vote on others. I specifically didn’t download other games set up that way and started playing this because it didn’t have any of that. Annoying.

Fun, Too slow-paced to hold attention for long. I’m on my 5th or 6th house and constantly find myself going back and forth between other games I play because the in-app time it takes to stage or renovate each task is time-consuming with no option to multi-task. I also play games like Hay Day, Ramsey Dash, Sim City, etc. and all of these have various tasks or places you can go within the app so when you get to a stopping point/standstill in one area, you can bounce to another to remain within the app allowing for more gameplay. I would play this game more if I didn’t feel the need to constantly pop out to play another game while I wait 4 minutes for something to update. Suggestion is not to limit the the amount of tasks you can do based on contractors. It’s way too much to buy the 3rd contractor. In Hay Day, you can produce hundreds of crops and goods at the same time. Some take seconds, some take days but at least you have the option to continue to produce and grow your farm without being tightly restricted. I prefer games that don’t restrict you to buying lives, hearts, etc. to continue gameplay. I am more loyal to games which allow you to play at your own pace. With some improvements to the structure of the game and heart and grease amounts versus costs to buy with real money and the price of contractors, etc., I’d play this WAY more often. Needs some rebalancing in this area.

Could be better. I downloaded this game because I’m addicted to the show. I love the process of how the entire house changes, so it’s super fun to do it myself in an interactive game. The graphics are nice, the material options are awesome, and the furniture is so cute. The only problem I have is with the elbow grease. I get the point of it. It just takes forever to build up, and the further you get into the game, the more elbow grease things take. I understand the prices going up, but the elbow grease too? Why did I buy extra construction workers if I can’t even use them because there’s never enough elbow grease. It’s at the point where I can only do ONE THING a day, and it takes over a week just to do one house. Like I said, it’s a cool game, but because of the elbow grease it quickly becomes a waste of time. I’m kinda sad about it, because I was in love with it for a while. Oh well. I guess that’s how the developers make their money. So really, it’s technically just a demo if you want to actually enjoy playing it without spending money. Open several new cities, and it becomes expensive. Not worth it at this point.

Good little timewaster😂. Enjoying it so far, I’m glad you have to wait for the elbow grease to refill otherwise I’d just be sitting on the couch doing this all day. Just could add a little function - would be nice to have a little side tally of original payment then all the costs tallying so you could keep track of what your doing.

Colours still disgusting- no use playing anymore. (edited) NOW DELETED THE GAME! Devs reply to reviews stating they are taking our disgust and revulsion to the amateurish new colour palettes and changing them up. Yet the new update does not rectify this and the colours are now childish, bright and unrealistic. If you want adult colours you need to unlock them (even though we unblocked those levels previously). Gave the devs a chance to fix it, they didn’t listen so no longer going to play it. I bet they are losing players in droves! All a money grab- but hard to grab money off people when they don’t give the game fun anymore.

High hopes and frustrations. Look, don’t get me wrong, when I first started playing, I LOVED this game. I forgave little glitches, and I didn’t have any major issues. But then, as I got closer to Seattle, and updates kept coming without extension beyond that city, I watched patiently and continued playing to build up the bank balance, ready for when the expansion would happen. Then came the update that changed the Reno and buying menus, and I simply cannot understand why that had to happen before expanding the game. These new graphics and processes have slowed the game down, and it feels more rigid in feeling like “do not stray beyond recommended jobs and staging” - and yet the buying process is now more drawn out, and I make less money. Heck, if I stick entirely to the recommended jobs in the right price range, I still don’t get offers close to or above my asking price! And, to top it off, there has been more updates and still Seattle is the ceiling. I know I joined when the game was still in infancy - this is not the only game where I wait for the creation of new levels, and yes I understand it takes time - but the patience is starting to wear thin :(

Love this game!. This game is great! Easy to use and quick at the same time... Don’t have to sit on it all day long to progress... Developers are great to talk to and sort out any issues :) If you’re looking for a house reno game then this is the one!

Great game. I personally like the game and the different levels to achieve in it but i think that when your renovating a room and you put it into walk mode where your inside the room that you walk around the whole house instead of just the one room

Great start. A lovely idea; as a fan, I was very excited when I saw this crop up in the App Store. It is a little buggy at the moment, and I think the game should implement a few features that will help with customer satisfaction. The main thing would be implementing a free speed-up timer. A lot of games have a free speed up from anywhere between 1 minute and 5 minutes. These actually encourage people to use in-game, purchasable credits more frequently. Also would love to be able to start our next project, while waiting to sell the last. I apologise if this is available later on in the game - only up to my third flip. Keep up the good work.

Incredible game. Hello good people of the App Store, I highly recommend this game to any aspiring tradesmen, interior designers, architects, plumbers, or anyone who wants to renovate a house! It has an incredible sense of realism and graphics that make you feel good. You must try this!

Super Buggy and Slow. Had high hopes for this one. Loaded up and finished the tutorial but on my first house build, when I would select any of the options to refurbish, the tile would flip and fail to load specific options and the bottom text would be all jumbled up. Tried to redownload and had the same issue - half the buttons on screen wouldn’t do anything and I have an iPhone 11 so I doubt it could be because of my hardware. Please fix and I hope that one day it’ll run smoothly and actually work.

Problems. I love playing and been playing for a long time but since this latest version there has been a lot of glitches and how I can’t even get into the game. Thanks Sharon

Fun game. I really enjoy playing this game and the most recent update has some big improvements, which have made it even more fun - my favourite is the ability to renovate multiple houses at the same time. But... since the most recent IOS upgrade on my iPad the game constantly crashes. I get a couple of minutes, at the most, before it crashes. It’s constant and annoying and I am getting more and more frustrated, to the point I’ll likely delete the game. Please fix it!

Recommend this game!. Updated review 2 days ago- Software issue- Game was great was really enjoying it up to Kansas City and then the game froze mid purchasing one of the houses left me with $14k now can’t do anything in the game! Very annoying bug as it has ruined my experience completely. Now- My issue got a addressed and over night the problem has been resolved, have had no other issues. I’d like to thank the great staff at fun-gi for changing my negative experience into a positive and continuing to make the game better

how can i restart my game??. I really love this game, it is honestly so fun and enjoyable. But, the other day I decided I wanted to start over again from the start but I wasn’t able to. There’s no button to start again or anything. Please add a button in developers!! <3

Regarding subscription. Please do now subscribe any time they want money and any how they will cut your balance. They cut my 30 doller in two day and I talk to management staff but still they dont respond me I never like this game so unsubscribes their app than also they trap my account and cut my balance from three month. I request to the staff but they are roude and dont give me proper response. Now want to complain to the customer servise and want refund any how.

Good game bad glitch. The game itself is really very good, there are some pretty lofty goals to unlock stuff which is annoying and some of the wait times on renovations is pretty long but they don't really impact over all gameplay, but the glitches... Nearly every dam time the cloud loading screen happens the game crashes

Soooo amazing!. This is the best game ever. It’s so fun and addictive. But I would like it if you made it a bit more easy to use as its a bit confusing sometimes but overall this game is really good.

Fun until.... This was fun up until when my game decided it wouldn’t recognise my wifi connection. This is very disappointing as I know my wifi was connected probably, I did try my wifi on other apps and therefore was working fine. I thought it may have been my wifi that was the issue but when I changed to my data it was exactly the same. :( I hope by the next update you can fix this issue as it is preventing me from being able to play and therefore preventing me from giving this a good star rating.

Too long. This game takes hours when you unlock Kansas City and I really wish this could be a lot faster in time like at least 20 to 30 minutes for the really expensive ones. My other problem is and also my hearts just ran out and now I can’t really play it as it takes forever to complete things and you can only do two things at a time

Great game I 💗 it so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so much. This game is amazing i am addicted to it love it one of my favourite I especially love the behind the seance footage on flip or flop. Love renovating houses and selling them can’t Waite to do another one it’s really easy to do and the mini game is also amazing and really fun and it’s fun looking for a house to renovate and seeing all the amazing houses and it’s also really fun to get boosters and get rewarded lots THIS IS THE BEST GAMES EVER!!!!!!!!!!😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀you should definitely get it

Seasoned player. I’ve been playing for quite a while now and I’m waiting patiently for some new levels and challenges. Tips - save your hearts to buy new workers, the more workers you have the faster your sweat builds up - do more than what is asked in each house and you will almost always make a good profit Issues - I haven’t seen any “fortunes” or “pitfalls” for months is this a glitch?

Disappointing. What is the point of having a target price on a house when it is never offered? No matter how much money I spend on a house, keeping the budget really tight or splurging a bit more, the offers never get close to or even higher, which would be nice occasionally, than the asking price. This makes the game incredibly dull, especially when you’re basically only popping in every now and then to reallocate a task and then waiting for increasingly extended times. I see the same complaints over and over in the review section and the developer addressing the complaints saying they are going to fix them... yet months down the track it’s still a problem. This game gets old quickly and will probably end up deleted off my phone shortly, which is a shame as I love the show.

Needs improvement. Can never get the asking price to make a sale and waiting to long for new offers to come along it’s taken all day to try and sell the house and still no good offers 24 hours and more still waiting. Everything takes to long to build. Only on the second city and already have had enough of this game. Don’t waste your time downloading this game it’s not worth it. I’ve spent 50 hearts trying to get offers on a house and still 24 hours still trying. Not worth the time.

My Game Is Not Working. I believe this is a good game! It’s really fun to play and all. Although recently my game has stopped working. It will load to the 100% and transition to the clouds but from there it does nothing else, it’s just frozen on the clouds. I have deleted it and re-downloaded the game, hoping that would work but sadly it hasn’t. I was hoping that there would be some way to fix this bug. Please help me!

Keeps crashing. If I could rate it 0 stars, I would. I was so excited to play this - looks amazing. I started playing and began to flip my first house and then it crashed. None of my changes were saved. I quit the app and tried to reopen it and now it won’t even do that. It should work on an iPad Air. Highly do not recommend this game. Play at own risk.

Too many glitches. Really love this game but there are way too many glitches. You can watch all the videos! When you try and play house rush it doesn’t always work and you lose your free go! And when you’ve completed some of the tasks and leave the app when you return you have to start all over again!!... Please fix this so we can enjoy the game 😄

House Flip. Hi I’ve been playing house flip for a couple of weeks now, I love the game, but I believe would be great to be able to send gifts to friends, you could have where you could send a paint pack for example, so your friends could use it to paint a room or send hearts as they are hard to build up, you should have a pack of 5 or something like that, just suggestions to make the game better in my opinion, please respond. Thank you Karen Shelton

Problem. Love this game.....but am having the same problem that others have reported....in Phoenix have completed house, went to sell it but says still have a contractor working..which I haven’t. So can’t sell ! So this city is now stuck.

Was good at the start. Would love to give this more stars but I’m starting to get a bit annoyed by how long it takes for renos to be done when you reach higher levels. This, coupled with the fact that renos also require a significant amount of elbow grease (but the fountain gives out such a small amount per hour) means that I’m finding myself using the app less and less. I’ve spent so many hearts on elbow grease, I’m running out and it’s not really fair that the price of hearts for elbow grease increases every level either. This game is increasingly becoming less fun. It’s a shame cause I really liked it at the start.

Freezing & shutting down. Love this game have been playing for several years. Only problem is after last update it keeps freezing & then shutting down! After the 6th or 7th time in less than 10 minutes, it gets annoying! Not sure why it’s happening but thought I should tell you :(

Almost 5 stars. Update 2: the new version won’t download. It’s been stuck on 23% for an hour. What a waste of time. I will lose all my gains so far as I choose not to connect any games to Facebook. What a waste of time! What a major disappointment. Update: What is happening? Have the Gaines and Magnolia cut ties with the game? A new update features generic characters, so I may not be interested any more. —— The only issue I have with this game is the ridiculous floor plans in the larger houses, the are just jumbled together with unused and wasted spaces that are inaccessible to the player. Even standard floor plans for a range of houses would be better than this. It makes no sense design wise. Otherwise this game seems very well thought out and reflective of Chip and Joanna’s ethos and style. And it’s fun.😊

Recent update is a hit and miss. I’ve been loving playing this game, but todays update has resulted in my game becoming stuck (the tasks are done but still show as a green tick and don’t vanish, so I can’t even sell the house because it thinks contractors are working). The new UI is too slow - you go to click on a completed task, then you’re forced to open the renovations panel again and wait while an animation plays of the task turns into $$. It’s unnecessary and is seriously annoying when you have 6 tasks to tick off - just waiting for each one to vanish. Fix the bugs and ditch that animation and you’ll be set!

Hate it the higher I go.. Loved it but now hate it.... The higher levels take too much time to do... It takes days just to collect enough of the sweat to do ONE thing and then it takes 12 hours to do it! And now you can only watch a video 3 times to cut the time shorter. I end up forgetting about it and losing interest. ETA - my cabinets are taking 20hrs to complete! Whats the point when I can literally do one thing every 24hrs! Not playing this again!! ETA again - Its so boring now because it takes days to do just one small thing. Am finding myself playing less and less and am thinking of deleting the app.

Alright. I downloaded this app yesterday, and it’s fun. But I never expected to have the same problems (as others who’ve played for weeks or months), so soon. I’m waiting for a place to finish, so I can complete it. By the look of it, we have to buy hearts to continue playing. But since I haven’t played that long, I won’t be spending money - if a game can’t last so many days before requiring payment to continue, I can’t see a reason to play or have any fun playing it. It just takes way too long - if you want to keep new players or get more, then you’re off to a bad start. The extra star rating is for the graphics and the quality of it.

Honest review 18 December 2017. CONS: This app starts off really enjoyable but as you reach the higher levels it’s terribly boring. My issues are.... 1. You can only renovate one house at a time. 2. You have to wait hours and hours for a worker to do a job. Example I'm on higher levels - went into app this morning for a couple of minutes (had full sweat).... got 1 job done (which I have to wait 6 hours 29mins for) and ran out of sweat. Game playing time -- roughly 2 minutes. 3. As for sweat!!!!!.... absolutely ridiculous! I have 3 workers and haven’t been able to play the game for a few days because I am still trying to gather sweat ... any hearts I win go on gaining more sweat, can’t sell, can’t do anything but collect sweat...and there is no way known I’ll be putting my cash into it. 4. App developers keep making promises of improvements and of adding more interest. I’m still waiting to see any of this talk come to fruition...... (in the meantime I will just be going into the app to collect sweat, so fun....not!!!) PROS: Overall it is fun to renovate the houses, the graphics and detail are great (until higher levels)! The basic concept is awesome! The developers are responsive. Because of these ‘pros’ I will hang onto the app waiting for the ever elusive update that promises more fun.

Amazing. This app is so fun. It makes me feel like a real renovator. If your scrolling through the reviews right now to work out whether you want this app or not, then this review is the last one you read because now you absolutely neeeeeeed to purchase this incredible FREE app!!

You have do read this. The game is grate and I really recommend this game for you. But there are a lot of pop ups when you first start. but I think I was to exited to just play the game.

Great game but shuts down and freezes. I REALLY love this game. But it freezes and shuts down when I complete a reno, when I use hearts to complete a reno, or when I build another house in another city at the same time. It’s like it can’t handle me building 2 things at one. I also can’t vote at all, it loads and crashes. Which means I can’t get any keys to showcase. Hope these issues can be fixed because otherwise it’s just so tiresome re-starting it up all the time. Sometimes even 5 times a minute. That’s just not acceptable these days. No wow I’m paying any money if the game can’t even run glitch free.

All the shiplap. I’ve been enjoying this game a lot, there’s been many improvements since it’s launch and it seems to be getting better. Developers are very responsive and open to feed back which is really helping to improve gameplay and smooth the glitches. Game play can be a little slow as it’s hard to wait for your renovations to happen, but I’m slowly getting more workers to help speed things up. Really looking forward to see the next updates, mini games and other features in the works. Update: I had high hopes for this game but have been too frustrated with it to continue playing. The game starts off fun as gameplay and renovations are quicker and use less sweat. But now I’m up to Chicago and kitchen benches require over a million sweat to start and more than a day to complete. So basically you just log in to collect sweat but can’t do anything else as you can’t afford to. I’ve tried everything, even going back to lower levels and completing cheaper Reno’s to recharge my sweat supply but it goes so quickly. The only way would be to spend actual $$$. I would rather pay for the game upfront tbh. It’s no fun anymore. The mini game sounded promising when teased but now it’s out is a waste of time, all it does is cut down your production time. We need something where we can win sweat and hearts. This game just feels like a waste of time now. Sorry to say.

Crashing, crashing constantly crashing!. Omg! I love this game but the constant crashes are driving me crazy! The latest update from yesterday April 14 made it worse grr... Now instead of only crashing every 5 minutes I have to contend with it dropping off the server as well. I’m luck to get 5 minutes of play in.

Great game. If you love the idea of renovating a house for profit then you’ll love this game. Complete missions, Renovate and stage it ready for sale then wait for your offers. Developers are continually working to improve and very quick to respond and fix any problem or question you may have

K. I would play this game every day, I connected it with my Facebook and started playing, although first 10 minutes in I couldn’t take the painful waiting for each and every task. To buy another worker and speed things up is 500 hearts!!! Which is only achievable by buying or subscribing to monthly hearts. Unfortunately if it wasn’t about spending money to be able to gain any sort of achievement I would love it. This game is made for people who are willing to spend money so just depends on who would be willing to do so.

Ok, a bit repetitive. Wish there were more options for design etc. After a dozen or so flips it gets somewhat repetitive and takes a long time to unlock new towns. Also there’s a glitch where I keep getting the exact same offer on a house in Kansas, $9000 below asking. Pretty frustrating!!

Can be great with some improvements. This is a strong start. The game tasks and transitions sometimes on the clunky side and some aspects could be more dynamic eg. house sale prices, staging could be an option rather than must-do, cannot purchase multiple houses in the one city (caveat is that I’ve only just started the game), severely handicapped by limited access to tradespeople without spending real money.

Latest up date is horrendous. I only ever got this game because of Chip and Joanna Gaines. Then they sold out but I kept playing as it is addictive. But now with the latest upgrade you have destroyed the colour palettes!! All of my house now look like a colour blind moron has been decorating. Is you developer colour blind? Really poor upgrade, game is not worth it if they do this sort of thing

Best game. I really love playing this game.. I love the show and this game lets you be apart of their life in fixer uppers ... great game great people keep it up.... my problem is when an update has been done it takes a very long time to load...

Don’t waste your time here. Crashes constantly. Despite several updates, this game is still nearly unplayable. Game crashes on cloud cut scene frequently and after the most recent bug update it now drops of the internet every few minutes. Many rooms are difficult to select and renovate as clicking on them takes you to a neighbouring room. The game is frustratingly slow when selecting items and cut scenes take too long to disappear. Recent update has also prevented watching multiple advertisements to speed up a renovation and stupidly forces a wait period before selecting a new update. Even worse, the self promoting icons for using special features cover the offer prices of houses and you can only view the offer by carefully selecting outside the promotional image. Much better ways exist to spend your time.

Great app!. Love the app. So addictive. Suggestion - you can’t always tell if the renovation is classic or contemporary. It doesn’t always appear when you select items. In the section where you can check the accumulated profit and there is an information button showing you the House Summary, could you please add whether it’s classic or contemporary? When you are renovating a few houses, you can forget 😁

MY APP WONT WORK!!. I just don’t understand why it won’t work! My friend recommended this game to me and I was super excited to play. But I was super disappointed to find out that this game doesn’t work. When I go into it it just loads and then doesn’t work. Every now and then if I power off my iPad it goes to the first level (tutorial) then it doesn’t load to the next level. I even tried in installing then re-installing the game but it still won’t work. I just want to know if you have a resolution to this problem. Look forward to hearing from you! I am excited to try this game.😐😶☹️😩😠

Won’t load. I have never left a review on an app before, but I have noticed that some other people have been having the same issue as I have. When I open the app it shows the fun-gi and the section screens, then it just goes white. I figured it was just loading and I left it for half and hour and nothing happens. I would love to get this resolved as I think the game looks very interesting and right up my alley. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it and I had the same issue, I have also restarted my device and I am still having issues.

Where are Chip and Jo?. I love this game and have been playing it for about a year now. It has regular updates and the game just keeps getting better. One of the reasons why I downloaded this game was because it featured Chip and Joanna Gaines. Now they no longer feature in the game and some very standard game characters have replaced them. It felt nice to have Chip and Jo in the game, cheering their fans on. Did they sell the game?

Interested in seeing how the game develops. Had high hopes for this game as I love the show, and have been a bit disappointed so far. Very buggy and slow(I don’t have these problems with any of my other games, so it’s not my device or internet) which can be frustrating. The offers never seem to come close to the asking price, so it can be hard to make money. It would also be good to see what bracket the potential buyers are in, before you purchase the house. Then I could have more fun with the different priced products available, as there is not a lot of variety with the houses themselves. And considering how long some of the renovations actually take, a lot of the heart challenges are simply not feasible to compete in the time frames given. However, they are doing constant upgrades, and seem to be paying attention to the reviews, so I will persevere for now. It is a fairly new app, and there will always be initial issues to be ironed out.

Keeps crashing. Fun game, but after the many at recent update, it crashes nonstop.

Fun game, lots of in app purchases. Title. The game is very fun to play, with quality graphics and easy enough controls to grasp. I just wish that there wasn’t as many in app purchases required especially for new decor styles later in the game.

House flip 3/5. Best game ever but its to long to load

Good but a lot of waiting. I quite like the game but like most you are constantly waiting for things to finish. In some cases this is a good thing but other times it’s bad also it’s very difficult to set up your palette for a house, I often end up having to redo paints and floors to get what I want and this wouldn’t happen if there were some kind of way to scheme it all ahead of time. Also it’s near impossible to go back once it’s been staged which is also very frustrating because at times you want to make a small change to improve your score in showcase for example. I’ve figured out how to pick showcase winners but making them is another story, I think I need a higher level, it should be available to everyone.

Idk. This game is kinda frustrating cause there is so much stuff to do and i have no idea how to play this?

Loading screen. It would’ve been a five but it normally takes 5 to 10 minutes just for it to load, I want to play the game not sit and watch the loading screen.

It was going great, until the latest update :(. I had been starting to enjoy this game over the past couple of weeks but this latest update has squashed a lot of the enjoyment for me. tldr: changes to the staging function to allow individual items customization, imo, have made the game less fun by limiting the number of items in a room to 6 and requiring far too much time to make small, simple changes making game progression almost non-existent. I had been progressing in staging accessories and liked that they were pre-set arrangements with more and more decorations. The new change limits you to 6 items total (and each table lamp counts as one, so in order to have side tables and lamps in a room with a bed you will only get one additional decoration in the room, much less than my previous set arrangement which included all of that plus a dresser, rug, paintings, books, and a plant). For me this has killed a lot of the small joy that came from leveling up and getting to see the scenery continue to grow. 6 items, especially with the counting system, makes all the large rooms feel perpetually bare. Another shift was to change the decorating/staging from pre-set groups in the same colour swatch changeable by selecting the style then the colour swatch to a multi-page process of selecting a style, then populating your room with the first 6 items in the first swatch colour and requiring several click through a for each item to change them. While the idea of being able to custom select each piece is nice it’s has significantly lengthened the time required for decor renovations. All themes default to the first colour swatch and in order to change the colour of each item, even if you don’t want to swap it, you need to select the item, the select the style, then the colour. There is no option to change all items into the same swatch, nor any option to change the colour without needing to press through multiple screens to get to that option. It now takes 4 to 8 times longer to select the same items that previously took a few seconds second to select. Again, I can appreciate the desire to give more options and more decorating freedom to players, however, this change has made it less enjoyable for someone like myself who may only get short bursts of 5-10 mins to play through out the day. It is the difference of getting all five jobs going in each city (was at 6 total) if ready from last play to now getting 3-5 jobs started across all cities. This in turn makes overall game progress move to a glacial pace. My progress was slow enough already but now any future progress is too far off and not worth the effort anymore. I hope that future updates may remedy some of these problems. I’ll probably check back periodically to see if they do. But if it stays like this I won’t be actively playing and wouldn’t recommend anyone else bother unless they have a lot of time they want to invest for meaningful game progression.

Not Loading. It seemed alright during the tutorial, but the first time the game had to load, it stayed on 100% at the loading screen. I’ve been waiting to actually load in to the game for over an hour. This seemed like such a fun game judging by the tutorial, and I’d hate to delete it because I can’t get passed the loading screen. However, I will delete if I need to, if it continues to stay frozen.

Wont commect. I downloaded it and it didn't even connect once Never even let me play this game.

What is this?. This game tells you exactly what to do and when to do it. It doesnt utilize any sort of originality which should be expected from an “interior design” game. None of your choices in colour or design have anything to do with the profitability of the house. And please designers tell my why it takes 8 minutes real time to install and laundry basket. Absolute joke of a game thats riddled with micro transactions. Im actually failing to see the point of this game being in existence.

The best!!. It’s so good

Won’t finish loading. I have been playing and enjoying this game for a couple of months, however, today it will not finish loading, it stays on the load screen, says it’s 100%, but the game never opens…is there a fix for this issue? Lisa

Fanboy. My update won’t work

Won’t open. Can’t open the app

name. it keeps asking me for a name and i’ve tried everything and it won’t let me play the game without choosing a name but every name i put it doesn’t work.

Please fix. I love this fame but unable to complete jobs after the update. Please fix!!!

Won’t load game. Completed the tutorial and when it goes to load the rest of the game it just sits at 21.2% and doesn’t go any higher

Could use some changes. Really enjoy this app, however, I feel like we should at least be able to use some of our profit money to buy stuff like hearts.

Game keeps crashing. I love this game but it keeps crashing. Can this please be fixed? Update: Thank you developers for getting back to me. The updates did not work and my game keeps crashing on the iPad mini 3. I will keep trying and hope an update comes that will fix this. I really love this game.

Great game ❤️. Overall this game is decent but sometimes it’s a bit laggy which is totally fine, it’s a very entertaining and enjoyable experience. Thank you to the developers who made this game I love it so much💕

Doesn’t work.. Goes to home page and then does nothing

Elbow Grease is not Filling up. The game is fun and if you are patient and smart with you Hearts you can progress at a good rate. The one thing that is frustrating is that it says the Elbow grease will fill in 8 hours but even overnight it’s only about halfway full. This seems pretty dishonest and should be fixed.

won’t open. game loads to 25% and then stops if i waited for hours for it to move one percentage a minute it would probably work

Great game. Is a little bit slow to load but is super fun

Great game. It’s fun game to play except I just did the update (December 8 one) and now it won’t connect at all so please hurry up and fix it again so I can play more

Great game but glitchy. I really like this game but I keep getting kicked off the server whenever I try to vote or collect rewards. I’ve lost multiple rewards because of lost connection which is becoming very frustrating. Once this is fixed, I will gladly play again.

Probleme.

Please get rid of the check mark after renovating a mission!. The new update is so annoying! The check mark takes so long and you need to scroll down twice, please just remove it

Super jeux. Un très bon jeux ainsi qu’un très bon service je le recommande ☺️

Ridiculously annoying. You have to tap through 10 mins of tutorial before you can even log in or TURN THE SOUND AND MUSIC OFF. But also, the settings tab is in another tab so you also have to go looking for it

So fun 😃. This is my favourite game , if you like flipping houses and that type of stuff , I definitely recommend this game !

The game won’t work. I downloaded the game a while ago but I started to play it again with the new update and it won’t let me buy house please fix this so I can play!

Bad. Been playing for a while but now it won’t open. Every time I try to open the game it just shows a white screen. Very upset

Used to be my favourite. This used to be my favourite game. There needs to be new paint colours, doors, staging, etc. Also the newest update is the worst. I’m thankful for a new city since I’ve been waiting for one since the last one. But the waiting for the check mark and waiting for it to show you the potential profit is extremely annoying. It takes way too long and is unnecessary.

Money grab!!. This game won’t let you play until you pay money, and once you pay, you have to pay more!!! Don’t download

Everything takes too long. First flip and you only have two workers and everything takes a few minutes. Good concept but getting bored waiting.

Because well. The Privacy Policy is laid out beautifully and is almost a joy to read in its articulation. However, if one cares to be thorough (which I do) and tries to then link up to the ToS, it takes you to an error page. This was a huge disappointment because the Privacy Policy was probably the best written and ethically conscientious that I’ve ever read. I take such things seriously and as such I did not move forward past the ToS and deleted the app for now. I will say though, that as I’ve read the other reviews, I note that the developer almost always responds to negative reviews and appears to be working genuinely to correct each issue presented. For this reason instead of 1 star, I leave 2 and will revisit the app if I see progress.

It’s like meh. It’s Soooo fun!!

Game keeps crashing. Since the last update the game crashes constantly. Super annoying. And the whole sign into my Amazon account to get special rewards, um I don’t think so. I’m not giving you access to an account that my credit card is linked to. Don’t need the decorations that badly.

Good. I like picking out my designs but it takes a long time for it to be ready.

Great if your an American. I just spent my money for hearts and then see I might get more if I sign in to Amazon. ONLY ITS AMAZON.com What a friggen lark.

Crashing!. Have played this off and on for almost a year and really enjoy it, but the most recent update has it crashing every ten minutes. Can’t play like that!

Kick me out of the game. The game loses internet connection all the time very frustrating

The whole game is just one long tutorial.. Been playing for 15 minutes and it’s still all instructions and not much gameplay. I know the main demographic for these games is younger kids but at least make the game playable and not just tutorial after tutorial tutorial. Waste of time.

Remove check mark when completing tasks. The new update of checking and adding dollars to profit is taking so long, instead of just going ahead and moving to next task. There’s no sense to that feature.

Best game ever. It gives us options in which we can take but you also have to play a game to get the furniture

Error code. When I try to load up the game it gives me an error about lost connection. Cannot connect to servers. My internet is working fine. Please fix the server issue. Thanks

Great Game but needs improvement. Great game, but needs more options for how you can earn Hearts and Elbow Grease. I think the simplest way to do this would be an option to watch ads to earn Hearts or Elbow Grease. I think watching an ad and earning at least 2,000 elbow grease would be fair. And I think watching an ad to earn 30-40 hearts would be fair as well. This benefits the developer (revenue) while also benefiting the player (rewards). The only issue is the wait time, I know the purpose of this is to keep players coming back, but if I had a steady stream of gameplay I would keep playing. But since I can’t, I’ll probably be done with this game within a week, just like all the other games that give me limits on my ability to play. TerraGenesis (another game) has a brilliant use of ads to earn rewards and resources. If Flip House used one similar to this, I’d probably play until I completed it.

How to add vip pass. Hi! I am trying to add the vip pass from amazon and i have no clue where to go? Help? Thanks

Fantastic Idea for a Mobile Game!!. It’s about time someone made a house flipping game on mobile and I was just as excited about this one as the one I found on steam too. It’s really beautifully designed with good gameplay and things to do to keep you pretty busy as well as very interested in the game. It does have its fair share of issues and other things I’d like to see improved though like the construction worker count is broken and doesn’t always tell me who’s working in a house it always shows 0 or 2 only, the timers are annoying has heck especially with waiting for responses to buy a house, also I can’t buy more than one house which makes no sense, and I really wish there was more life and walking around town and construction workers coming into the house doing work. If someone were to make a Minecraft version it’d sell like hot cakes I bet.

Perfect Game for Moments in Between. I was skeptical at first, most games are filled with ads and are extremely challenging to advance in without having to spend real money. Finally a game where I can advance and trade one item for another, without the need to pay real money. Which is a game changer. I also have yet to encounter an ad and that alone makes me willing to spend money on this game. I notice a lot of complaints about wait times, but they arent that bad and if you use your hearts sparingly and/or complete goals, you can easily speed through them. The thing I like about waiting a little bit for renovations is the fact that I can close out of the game and come back later. I am not glued to my iPad all day. I have zero regrets downloading this game and I recommend it to everyone! Another amazing creation by Chip and Joanna Gaines!

Great but.... Game is great! I’m a big fan of the show and was excited to play. And downloaded it as soon as I got the chance. It is a great game but there a few things. Elbow grease is a great way to supplement “energy” to build things but my bar is never fully full no matter how much I collect or stop playing for a few hours. Maybe with even the special magnolia clicks we could have a recharge time that slowly fill our entire elbow grease bar in a matter of a couple hours. Secondly, some of the Reno’s take too long... I’m only on Kansas City and building cabinet are going to take an hour... that’s a big jump from 9 minutes. Thirdly, contractors are just not enough for the amount of construction we need to do within a house. I just got my third one and it still take forever. However it doesn’t help that it takes forever to get enough heart to buy one another one. Lastly, we need more color options, more option to choose from when staging & also during our Reno choices.

Few Suggestions. For the most part I really enjoy the game. Length of time and elbow grease to complete some of the work is rather ridiculous. By the time you progress to 3rd city or more, it literally takes longer o the game than it does in real life: Example: San Diego: laundry appliances take 9 hours 35 minutes. You can literally install a real washer and dryer in much less time that that. Laundry basket (simple laundry basket): $140 (really), 3 hr 11 minutes, 40,250 elbow grease. Quite excessive and makes the game much less fun. It shouldn’t take longer, and be more “expensive” in a game than in real life. Also, would be great if you could design the project then choose from there. Currently, you choose kitchen cabinets then have to wait several hours to choose countertops (to make sure it matches), etc. Design then select portions of the design for the contractors to work on as available. Also, please include elbow grease as part of rewards for achievements and missions. And make sure missions are accomplishable. (Ex: today mission include Tudor house which is not available in any of the cities I have unlocked.) I look forward to the next update and more design choices! To be Chip & Jo needs to include ship lap and magnolia wreaths, etc! Keep up the good work! Even though I’m making several suggestions, it is obvious you have/do put thought, time and effort into the game and it is appreciated!

Could you....?. I LOVE Chip and Jo, and I love doing renovations and remodels. I was excited to see a game made by them. I really liked it at first but now it’s so repetitive it’s starting to wear off. They give the same two bedroom suits for style and I’m already in phoenix. I know rugs and such were added but in a house with five bedrooms I don’t want two or three rooms having the same furniture and decor. I also wish you could flip more than one house at a time. I wish we could earn more hearts easier. And I wish contractors weren’t so many hearts. Also some of the time limits are a bit much in my opinion. It takes longer to do some things than it should. Like 2 hours to change out a washed and dryer. I don’t think so. Update 3/2: So I am in Salt Lake City and am flipping a house. It cost me 25,602 elbow grease to stage a kitchen with a fruit bowl. Seriously? I’m about ready to delete this game. The amount of hearts and elbow grease it takes to do anything is ridiculous, especially as you progress through the game. Dropping from a 3⭐️ to a 2⭐️.

First let me start by saying I NEVER write reviews!. This is seriously my first time and I thought I’d do so bc I love Chip & Jo and I hope the game developers will read this and take it into consideration. I was reading through several other reviews were people shared how there isnt much of a profit anymore and I must agree. Which each flip I make sure to have all 3 stars achieved &sometimes extra projects as well, however it doesn’t make any difference. Also when looking at the map with all of the cities, I noticed there are 2 red triangles that have an “!” in the middle of them. I’ve tried to tap the symbol several times but nothing ever happens. Can someone explain what they mean/do? Also the amount of 💧 do a flip is starting to be more than what I have stored. If my max is 750K and it takes 50k for this and 35k for another. The only way to ensure you have enough is to buy more with ❤️. I’m trying to save those to hire more contractors. I enjoy designing in the game but I think it’s gonna end up in my deleted files soon.

Needs some work. I do love this game, but from an architectural standpoint I feel as if the homes could be better designed. There are numerous oversights such as windows facing into a hallway rather than outside, bedrooms with no access to a full bathroom but rather a half bathroom, and inadequately sized rooms such as bedrooms that can only accommodate a single piece of furniture; they look like a 4 by 8 prison cell. I also feel that not all of the houses should require so much work. Homes I renovated literally a day ago are back on the market needing serval areas of improvement. Would it really be that hard to at least keep some of my renovations? I would like to be able to price my homes and make counter offers as well. It’s a tad annoying how the game will appraise your renovated home, then when you go to sell it, families that the home was not even designed for are bidding tens of thousands of dollars lower than the home’s actual “value”. Some more materials and furnishing would also be greatly appreciated. Not a bad way to burn some free time, but this game could use some improvements.

Not enough design options, gets repetitive. I had a healthy addiction going with this game, but once you have gotten to the last level for a design option or city, it gets reeeeeeeeey repetitive. I can’t find the map anymore to see what new design ideas they will be rolling out, but I’ve gotten so bored with existing options that I’ve quit playing. Window shades, wall paper, more house formats or houses that change in different cities so it isn’t the same few houses over and over ..... the option to design outdoor spaces, things like these would be great improvements. Another major beef is with paint colors. There are TOO many greens, and many of the colors are literally the exact same! It’s less exciting and just feels poorly executed when it looks like you have 36 paint colors available to you but you really have like 12. Overall there’s a lot of potential for this game but I feel like updates are too slow to satisfy the people who have sunk in enough hours to make it far along.

Mystery Crates are 100% Boosters, Not 50/50. I’ve been playing this game for several months. I loved it at first because it seemed like a game where you could genuinely advance without having to spend lots of money. I subscribe to the Magic Tool Belt and each month I pay the additional $10 to get the Premium Pass to unlock more rewards at different levels. In the past, opening a Mystery Crate has been truly a 50/50 shot at a Booster or a Swatch, but this past month, after completing almost ALL goals for the US cities and Euro cities up to Marseilles, EVERY LAST MYSTERY CRATE I OPENED WAS A BOOSTER. That’s over dozens of Mystery Crates in a row that have been 100% Booster, no Swatch. I don’t like to think that the algorithm has changed to force users to purchase hearts for Swatch Crates (that usually end up being another interior wall color & not coveted swatches like floor swatches), but at least admit that the Mystery Crates are Boosters and allow users to decide what type of Swatch they can purchase if using hearts to purchase a Swatch Crate.

Choices, Choices, Choices. I love the game, but feel like it needs to be a little more like fixer upper. The back story to the homeowners and such. I think it’d be awesome if we could choose whether we wanted certain fixtures or certain furniture. Like for instance the lights, if you want to put in recessed lighting, you have to have the floor lamp and the scones and the fan. You can’t just choose recessed lighting and a fan, it has to be all of them and I think it’d make the game more fun if you could chose which fixtures or furniture or decorations you wanted instead of having to have them all if you’re just wanting one certain thing. Another thing is that I wish all the different types of house didn’t have the same layouts, I know it’s probably a lot of work making each house different. But what if you made it possible to remove or add a wall or to add on a room! That’d be awesome! Keep up the good work everyone, you’re doing fantastic!

Actually it’s great.. When I first started playing, I thought there was no other way to get “elbow grease,” what you need to purchase decorating items. Then I found out that you can buy more with the hearts. So there’s no getting stuck. It’s an addicting game and it sounds like, reading the reviews of other home design games, that this is the best. I like how they set you up for success so you can keep playing. They don’t have you stuck on levels unless you pay or overcome impossible ways to get points like the complaints of other games. When you advance, the building takes longer and I found out that’s because they want you flipping multiple houses at once instead of waiting for one to finish. I do wish they’d change the furniture up when you move to other cities, but otherwise is great.

Awesome game but... I am a huge Chip and Jo fan. So when I saw this app, I knew I had to get it. I’ve been playing the game for about a week at this point, and feel like I can give an honest review beyond CHIP AND JO HAVE AN APP WHERE YOU CAN PLAY LIKE THEM!!! So here it is: the app is really fun! A few things I wish would change are the paint colors being more true and different from each other (I feel the cheapest gray and the premium gray have very little difference), you were able to move the furniture around (because not lining up the dresser straight under the window really bugs me), and there was better lighting in the home (i.e the sun coming in and giving shade spots and the lamps i place don’t work). Money is easy to earn, elbow grease lasts, and I rarely run low on hearts. All in all, this game has my attention probably more than I’d like to admit. I will continue to play and can’t wait to see how this game grows!

Great Game. Wonderful. I love it. I’m a realtor and have been looking for a game that is real estate related and fun. I love the flipping, it continues working even when I have to answer emails or meet clients. My only complaints are: 1. elbow grease does not recover fast enough to really keep up with the progression of the game. When I come back 12 hours later and click the elbow grease station, it barely fills up have of what I need. Then I vote, but voting is strange. Sometimes I don’t get the vote even though it’s tied 50/50. That brings me to 2. The mini game is absolutely horrible. It’s a guessing game. There is no strategy to it whatsoever. Click random tiles and hope you get a match. Shame. The only reason I even play it is to remove the alert from my screen. The game has a ton of potential. I will keep playing. I regret to say if the issues get worse, I’ll have to put it away.

Annoying. I think this app would be really fun if you did not have to wait 5 minutes for renovating the counter or something like that. On top of that you can’t do anything else when you are renovating something and that is really annoying. What I did was I used all my hearts because I was so annoyed that I had to wait that long, now I don’t really have any hearts and it is not easy to get them. Because of these things I do not really play the game a lot because I have to wait so long. I do like that when you go out of the game and your where in the middle of renovating something that the time does not stop it will keep going so you do not have to wait when you are in the app. I also have a suggestion, I think when you are looking at a house from the outside you should have to hold and then it will show you the inside, I think you should be able to zoom in to see the outside, I think that would make things a little easier. From, anonymous

Fun Game, but could struggle as you advance. This is a fun game. I downloaded it for something to do instead of social media when I have screen time. I like the game but as I have advanced throughout the game, some of the wait times are absurd and I envision myself losing interest due to this. Like another said I don’t mind some wait times, but once you get to 14+ hours of wait time with a 24 hour objective, it seems pointless to even try. However, I also will not spend money on a game, so I don’t use that option to advance houses. Also, I understand unlocking new styles as you advance but I haven’t unlocked new styles since I unlocked the French Style and I’m currently working on Seattle. So needless to say, I’m pretty bored with the current pace and options of this game. I think I’ve reached a point where this game is a dud for me. But fun until you get to San Diego where wait times skyrocket and the French Style where you seemingly stop receiving style genre updates.

Fun!!!. This game is so fun! You can travel to different cities and everything! Very realistic! I have a few problems. I went to the city of Phoenix and it said that the appliances were bad and I had to fix them. And I couldn’t it was locked! That’s was really annoying. It happened with my friend too. Also. Another thing annoying is that it takes time to place stuff. Know I get that. But 1 hour to set a table and 4 chairs down with now plates or food on the table. There is a way to fix that by using hearts. I am low on hearts and there is no way to get more except spending money. EXPENSIVE! 50 bucks to get 6,000 hearts! 🙄🙄🙄 But besides all that is is SOO FUN! All those reviews with Chip and Joanna Ganes and saying that they love Chip and Joanna Ganes and all but the game is a disappointment. There just trying to think of a bad review. Don’t listen to those. This game has NOTHING to do with Chip and Jo. Have fun playing House Flip!

So far so good but still needs some work. I agree with what a lot of the other reviewers have been saying. The game is fun so far and I can see that it has a lot of potential. The timers are a bit too long and don’t seem to make sense sometimes i.e. staging the kitchen (adding a fruit bowl) takes up to 3 minutes to complete, whereas laying floor in a room takes 52seconds. I think the timers should more accurately reflect what would take longer in real life to complete. With it being brand new, I understand there will be some bugs to work out. Currently I cannot connect to Facebook and a few times the game has frozen on me and I’ve had to restart several times. One time I had to restart jobs that I already started (and completed) because there was a glitch in the game. All issues that I’m sure are being worked out by the devs. So far it’s a fun game and I look forward to sticking around and seeing it’s potential!

MORE CITIES YOU GO THROUGH WORSE IT GETS!. Now in Seattle. Absolutely awful. Longer to renovate and not much selection among properties. I miss my small craftsman, small cottages, & 1 level houses. Even San Diego had these. Only like 3 houses 2 choose. Most are mansions & lots of rooms. With the renovation times it takes to complete tasks, awful. Still only have 6 items allowed to stage. As you go further on you need more items to stage. Elbow grease is used way more now. I have to go back and fill up elbow grease after every task. I now am just going back to the other cities to earn capital. The whole point of this game was to be fun. I was looking forward to more cities, but now I’m doubtful. Also if I have 1 house in Seattle it’s harder to go back to other cities and renovate houses bc of the amount of elbow grease used in Seattle for 1 house. As far as contractors go, crazy that I’d have to spend $ to get more. Missions also require more now from the more expensive cities. Whatever you do don’t go past San Diego!

Expensive game. The first two cities it’s kind of and exciting, there are videos of chip and Jo explaining on renovations topics such as flooring and staging. But I was never able to hear the sound, even after some back and forth with support. Renovations take a very long time, initial Home about 6/10 hours with one contractor and who knows how long with one contractor further into the game. First contractor is 250, second is 500, third 750 and so on ... I wonder why they double price every time?!? There is no special feature for an extra contractor except that you can make more simultaneously . With four contractors a renovation in the 3rd 4th city was taking me an entire day or two. So I had to use the heArts to speed up. There is no way to gain hearts but to spend real dollars. Rewards are 2 to 15 hearts and each renovation speed up cost abou 70 hearts lol it is a joke! I am disappointed because I was starting to enjoy and even spend some money , but this is pointless. Hope it gets better as it has potential.

Ann. This game is kinda cool. I love their tv show and was hoping the game would be more like it. I would have given it 5 stars but it’s missing a lot of key ingredients like being able to choose bold colors and unique furniture. There should also be a feature that allows you to demo some of the rooms or add on a room or something like that. I just think that it should be based on the actual show. Instead of earning other colors furniture etc it should all be available because the houses that we finish comes out to be all the same. And there’s no fun in that. Honestly after doing 2 or 3 house that have the same colors and features becomes boring. But for what is worth it ok. Add some demoing features, more color choices, unique features like being able to have furniture built or signs made by the guys that Jo uses, as for staging the house open up the list so there are more choices. No once wants to continue a design game which has all the same design, colors, in every house. Needs more variety.

BEST UPDATE EVER!!. I’m currently 7 houses into Seattle and I updated the app today . . . Everything I was wanting, I’ve seen so far! First off, I was literally about to send a message to the Facebook page about the shower/tub combo and then I remembered the update and it’s finally fixed!! I can finally see the tub that the game claims is there lol I greatly appreciate the info we are able to see about the houses before we buy (I hated not knowing what my “budget” would look like). 🗣🗣🗣We have more color options for staging, people!! And there is new territory! Lol Hello Chicago! And for the people complaining about it not loading, it just takes a while 🤷🏽‍♀️ be patient. You’ll see why it took so long when it finishes loading 😊😊 Thanks Chip and Jo! Only thing is I have to play while watching reruns now ☹️ Miss you guys already ❤️❤️❤️

Fun...ish. I do really like this game, but I thought it would be more about actually designing a home. I love interior design, but the buyers don’t care how the inside looks. Every time I do a house, it just feels the same. Because of this, the game gets boring pretty quickly. Despite that, it is fun. However, I do wish that the furniture could be moved around, and that the staging could be a little different in some of the rooms. For example, it is annoying to spend so much time and money on a stupid fruit bowl that you can barely see. Also, I’ve tried everything, but I still seem to always run out of elbow grease. I’ve always done 3 star houses, I hire contractors whenever I can, and I have even spent hearts to get it, but I still never seem to have enough. I can’t hire my fourth contractor to get the elbow grease I need because I don’t have enough to accomplish anything, so I am not earning hearts. Like I said, this game is super fun, but please listen to this review and make some changes.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!. I was so excited yesterday to stumble upon this app because I have been waiting forever for this style of house flipping app (vs the Build-a-lot series). This app is great! I don’t have the same gripes as others about paying because I don’t have a problem with in-app purchases if I enjoy the app enough. But I would like to suggest a couple of modifications that resemble the real world. I watch Fixer Upper on TV and I get that they only work on 1 home at a time for the show; however, it would be awesome to have the ability to purchase and reno multiple homes simultaneously. I’ve just opened KC, so it’s possible this is a thing and I just have not reach that experience level yet but I’d love to see it. Also, it would be awesome to track our stats: i.e., an area where we can find a list of our flips in each city and the info pertaining to that flip — our initial purchase cost, reno costs, what the home sold for, loss/profit, and how long it took to flip (real time from purch to sell). Lastly, a better method to keep track of our contractors. If there is a world where we can have multiple projects in this game, it would be great to tap the contractor icon and instantly view a list of where contractors are currently working. Again, these are minor suggested enhancements for me, for a app that I have great appreciation for and have been waiting a long time to see. Thx for your efforts and work on this gem! Brad

Great game but.... I love the game and it was so fun when I had hearts but once all the hearts went away. I don’t mind waiting but they only give you two builders first off which isn’t great. The 2nd issue is the grease I want to stay in the game but I also run out of grease. Speaking of grease everyday I log in I’m not getting a lot. 3rd issue I don’t think there is enough hearts given I’m getting like 4-8. which is not a lot when you think of the projects and time it’s not enough. Also the game in the game to take time off is horrible because the possibility of you winning is unlikely. Also the daily awards are hard to achieve when you start working on a home in a place then 24 hours letter once sold you don’t get the award. I think there should be awards more than 24 hours when all the time put in on the house takes 3+ hours to complete. Especially when you run out of grease so more time. I love the game but some improvements should be made.

Crashing. I am on my 6th house and I decided I would rather play on my iPad instead of my iPhone. Unfortunately, it won't load. After the game reaches 100% on the loading page, it simply shuts down. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app, clearing the cache and restarting my iPad but nothing seems to work. The game itself is fine if not a little repetitive but now I can't even progress if I want to play on my iPad. My iOs is up to date. As far as the game itself, it is already getting a little repetitive. I would love to be able to watch videos for more hearts or do something outside of waiting. I know it's common in games like this but I wish I could have more than two or three things going at once. Disneys Magic Kingdoms game allows you to have lots of timers going which lets things stagger so something is always going on. I love the animation and faces of Chip and Jo but I wish the gameplay was more fluid.

Great idea, bad execution. I actually watch house flip and many others so I thought it would be fun. Seriously disappointed. I had the game for five days and forgot about it after the 4th because the wait times and inability to have contractors(unlike most people I don’t typically waist money on apps/games). You can only do so much at a time . one or two items every 20 mins is dumb. I don’t stare at games all day waiting for them, so I was hoping to be able to play on my down time. Literally took me the entire 4 days to upgrade and sell one place. 🤦‍♀️. So needless to say I deleted it. The layout isn’t that great and the limited options make it annoying. It says “upgrade countertops” but the “upgrade” looks worse than the original lol no thanks. It needs some work and less time consuming and I’d probably enjoy it. Maybe be able to have alternate tasks or ways to earn contractors while you wait? A finished living room to me isn’t just a couch and lamp either lol, so maybe some more details to the rooms too... like art, or a tv stand or plants. The game play it self is fine and the graphics are alright. The idea is fun, just poor execution .

Trouble After the Update. Now that the update is finally here, there are more positives in the game. I agree with others who say the mini game is nothing but chance, which is fine, but I thought it would be something to actually do in the game while waiting the 20 hours it takes to remodel cabinets. The mini game takes less than 30 seconds to play, and if you want to play again it is REALLY costly to your hearts. The wait times are the same, and that is the number one thing people complain about. Nobody has mentioned this in other reviews, but the update changed the required elbow grease to move to the next skill level on a few tasks, and now it says I have more than enough but is still locked, and doesn’t even show the little progress line. I don’t know if I’ll just be stuck on that skill level forever or what. It is nice to have more color options for staging. It feels like things that were working fine got changed, but the big issues are still the same. None of the new remodeling options were added. It still feels like an unfinished game. Oh well.

Fun but needs improvements. I love the show and I really wanted to like this game. And its fun for the most part - touring the properties and adding your own personal touch is great (although there definitely needs to be more options, and they’re too traditional for my taste). Where I get annoyed is the timing on installation. For example, it takes five minutes to install vinyl flooring in a whole room, but 35 min to install a fruit bowl in the kitchen - really?! The other thing that I find frustrating is that even not playing for 3-4 days when I checked back in the amount of skill points i could collect were little to none & I still only had enough skill points to complete 3 of the 18 tasks! And yes, there’s 18! I get they want you to buy hearts (it is a free game with no adds) but it takes way to long to accumulate enough to play regularly if you can’t afford to buy in. I’m going to complete this house & move onto something different that I can play for more than an hour every few days.

It doesn’t have enough Heart. Affter leaving this game in the back of my mind for 2 years I started up again have become addicted to this game. But i have two problems with it. One is that all the houses seem the same. Same floors, same walls, same designs, same profit. I wish their was more verity with this game. I know their are many styles and that i just have to level them up, but the skill tree is to hard to understand. If the skill tree was simplified and their was more verity and customization I would be so happy. My main complaint is hearts. I know you can get a lot of hearts from missions but theirs not enough emphasis on completing the missions. I don't even look at them unless I'm bored. If hearts were given out more, like for completing a Reno, or their was more emphasis on the missions i would raise my rating and enjoy playing this game even more.

Great but could use work. I love this game, I’ve had it for a couple of days and it is very entertaining. But there are a lot of things that can be fixed. For starters, it takes WAY too long to complete projects. Long projects makes you return to the game more often but after a while it simply is too tedious to return every hour to fix one thing and then it take the whole day to flip one house. At that, you can only flip one house at a time meaning you can’t even work on multiple projects to entertain yourself. Second, elbow grease and hearts take too long to regenerate. Once the hour I’ve waited has passed, and I can finally move forward I realize that I don’t have enough elbow grease to continue playing. I feel like if changes aren’t made I’ll eventually just delete the game since it simply takes too long to be enjoyable after the first couple of days. Regardless it’s a fun game, I just think there are too many limiting factors to be enjoyable for a long period of time.

Great design game. I’ve gotten other home design games before and was very disappointed when I found out to level up or get things in the game you had to purchase them with real cash money. This game is not one of those games you can level up easily and there are many little things you can accomplish that make you feel good about yourself and your progress. Like any other game of course there are glitches and bugs but unlike other games they aren’t ones that effect the experience of the game and are easy to fix. Like many people out there I am very skeptical about games like this but after watching many ads I decided to download it and I’m glad I did because it’s one of my all time favorite games. It’s fun and when you play it time literally flies by so quickly.

Fun starting out, but gets more disappointing. When I first started playing, it seemed like a reasonable game with the time to complete tasks. But then as you move into the different cities, the contractor times goes up considerably. One hour to place a fruit bowl? An hour and a half to place a laundry basket? Plus the cost of the contractor using hearts, but earning hearts is very slow, and unless you’re willing to spend money on hearts you’re getting nowhere. Another thing that annoys me is when staging the house, you have all the options of what you want to add, but it doesn’t affect the selling. I basically do the bare minimum now because it doesn’t make sense to add all these extras and not make a profit. When putting the home on the market, there are three different market types: freezing, warm, and hot. The only thing this affects is how long it takes an offer to come in. I’ve done around 30 homes and I’ve only ever gotten asking price on one. Majority of the offers don’t come close to the target price, and it’s annoying to have to wait for 15 minutes in a freezing market to have an offer that $20,000 less than your target. This game could be better. If there was a way to get offers closer to the target instead of having to reject offers for hours to get a good one. If the times to complete renovations were somewhat quicker. I want to play, but it’s starting to get disheartening taking the time to play and the outcome is crappy.

Meh. I really love the concept of this game, however I’m too frustrated with it to continue playing. It takes too much to advance to new materials, and even the new materials I haven’t unlocked yet aren’t enticing enough for me to continue playing. Repeated home layouts make me bored (and weird home layouts, too, you don’t even have the option to tear down walls), the visual quality is just okay but I crave for it to be more realistic, you’re stuck with the same sink/shower combo, the paint colors are all the same and pretty awful options, too. These are also materials that Chip and Joanna cringe at on the show. The options should begin at the highest level of materials. I haven’t seen any houseplants (not to say there isn’t an option for it I haven’t unlocked), hardly any artwork... I have to flip 10 more houses to unlock carpet....big whoop. I’ve decided to stop spending my money on this game and find something else. Great concept though.

Love this game! Some suggestions.... I love watching Chip and Joanna and the concept of this game with the goal of flipping homes to sell, with different markets and home styles make this game so fun and unique. It is beautifully designed with a nice interface and the bonus missions adds to gameplay. Some suggestions: 1) give tips on what improvements to make to increase your profit and get list price or above, 2) make the Extra jobs section a way to increase profits, 3) Add Bidding Wars with multiple bids on your houses at the same time; can occur when increasing the value by a certain amount or when the index is on fire, 4) Make the market index impact what the house sells for and not just time between offers, 5) add more color swatches and selections to existing categories as well as new design categories, and 6) add more options to lighting to be reflective of the diverse styles or make the lights more universal (the lights are too traditional). Hope this helps. Keep up the amazing job you guys are doing with this game. 😁

Waiting for promised updates. It’s sad that bad reviews made in December by other users are still accurate in April. I am half way through Seattle. It takes over 14 hours to install appliances; over 3 hours to stage the kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms. Every home has mismatched flooring and no lighting, and for some reason installing floor lamps is an option for renovating lighting instead of being a part of staging. Like most have mentioned, the offers are absolutely ridiculous, and after receiving 5 offers in a row nearly $100,000 under the asking price, I think I’m finally ready to quit this game. Just seems like a pretty obvious ploy to get you to watch more ads and spend more hearts. I have read responses from the developers promising mini games and other updates and I really hope those are coming soon! I would also really love to see some sort of free play option once you finish a city or even the ability to renovate more than one house at once to lessen the wait time between renovations.

Starting to get boring!!!!. When I first started playing this game it was really fun and I enjoyed renovating the houses and discovering new things. Now it seems like you’re just doin* the same thing over and over. There’s no variety in the style in which you can renovate the house, the staging is all the same, the styles are all the same and no matter how much you try to stick to the preferences of the buyers and neighborhood, it doesn’t seem to effect your offers. I think the offers we receive for our houses are absurd. You barely make a profit with any of these no matter how much effort you put in. Also, I’ve been noticing that since the new update I am having an issue with the game where every time I go to a different screen of the game it just force closes. The app closes on its own when I switch from one area of the game to another. I’m just really frustrated right now, I may just delete the app.

This is enjoyable but...... Honestly I do enjoy the game. There a few things I would hope would update and get better but the thought of just being a bit creative and customizing rooms is great. I wish there was more options for decorations walls floors etc. also when listing a house the offers you get is normally not nearly as much even when you spend half a day going through listings. Sometimes it’s not terrible when you gotta go through a full screen of offers to get that one great one and worth the extra time but it never comes in most cases. If there can be more of side missions or free in game ways to obtain water that would be great and more time spent actually playing than just doing commands on what to fix. Overall I do enjoy the game and I hope the developers really listen to feedback from the players. This game has great potential and I have been playing everyday.

My favorite house game so far. This is my favorite house game so far, as I hate playing the match 3 games to decorate houses, and relying on others rating of your design. However, there seems to be a bug that when you complete a mission, the one that upgrades your skills, it won’t let me accept my reward, and it completely goes away when I click on it. I close and reopen the game, and my reward doesn’t come back and it says I haven’t completed it yet, even though I just did. This has been the most annoying part for me so far. And there not being more houses in the beginning to be able to use your more expensive options in. So far I’ve only decorated low income and very low income houses, but I have level 3-4 things that I want to use. Seems like once you beat a city, the houses there should start upgrading in their value for you to decorate, that way it’s more fun to keep decorating houses to win mystery crates.

Overall great game. I have been playing this game for a month now and I love it. My only complaint is that it takes way to long for renovations 20 hours to renovate a kitchen. The hearts are won but not fast enough, the elbow grease takes forever to fill, it seems the only way to speed up renovation or add hearts or elbow grease is t buy them. I also play home design, that game I renovate a room and win money just for entering the challenge. You also vote and get voted on for your designs, the prizes are furniture or diamonds which you use to purchase furniture for your designs. This game unless you purchase hearts with money you are given no choice but to wait sometimes up to 3 days to finish especially if you get up in the game. I am in Seattle so 20 hours to finish the kitchen over 300,000 in elbow grease so I’m on my second day I see at least 2 more. This is why I play Design Home in between the waiting, I love designing but I can do more in Design Home than this game without purchasing anything.

amazing support team + awesome game. this is my second review following a reported bug where I lost hearts in the game and within 30 minutes of contacting the support team through the help tab in the settings, my hearts were back! the bug was patched super fast as well, something that I don't see to often in apps. as for the game itself, amazing. I'm a sucker for games where I get to design rooms, place furniture, etc. and this is one of the absolute best out there. and very original. gorgeous graphics, smooth gameplay, and very reasonable wait times on renovations. there are obviously a few things I'd love to see added, such as more colors, cities, and furniture styles, but as of today's update notes, I can see that those are already being worked on for future updates! I'll definitely be sticking with the game and playing it everyday. :)

Needs more thought. This is a cute game, and although I enjoy it, I think it could be much better. My first thought was “Where are the clients?” I think the exciting thing about Magnolia is that they flip houses for certain people and tailor it to their style. Aside from that, I have some issues with the whole renovation process. Although there are different styles to choose from in the game, I don’t feel like you can mix and match to make a cohesive space unless everything is the same. I want something that lets me be creative. My houses probably look the same as everyone else that plays this game. I would rather have something to make my own. I also question whether things like matching floors throughout, etc. that buyers would want in a house actually matter in the game. Speaking of buyers, I think that offers are generally very low. I also wish that you could counter with a higher price and the buyer could accept or decline. It’s also annoying that offers expire.

Great game, but..... I love Fixer Upper and Chip & Jo and finding this app was the highlight of my week! However there are some annoying bugs in the app that I hope get fixed soon. First buggy thing, every now and then I have to close out the app completely because certain functions stop working. Like clicking on a job when it’s completed or being able to access a room, I’ll hold down until the bar thing is filled but then it doesn’t take me to the room (nothing happens). Second buggy thing, I can play the game when I’m connected to my home wifi (where I originally downloaded the game) but if I leave my house and I close the app completely it won’t open again until I’m home. This is when I’m trying to access from a guest wifi or from my cellular data. The loading screen pops up and filters through the “pro tip” messages but doesn’t actually load the game.

A few issues. I really like this game as I love decorating and designing. I do not like how long it takes to renovate homes as you get further and further into renovating (the time to do something such as paint a room or replace the cabinets increases each time you renovate a house). I’m also disappointed how hard it is to make a profit on a completed home. You get the suggested selling price of the home which includes a 10% profit but rarely are you able to get that amount. I’ve held out for a whole day to sell and still don’t get any offers for the full price, that’s frustrating. The time to renovate is a little extreme considering people work and do not have all day to play the game. So if you start replacing a few items and some take 3 hours to complete, it could take you a whole day to renovate the house and then another day to get a fair selling price. I also would suggest that the creator allows individuals to buy and renovate more than one house at a time, this would make it more interesting.

Disappointed. I loveeeeeee the show ! And even more when seeing how it’s a game I’ve always wanted to be more graphic in the way you can see the room as if your standing in it. But as I played it took way too long to get things ready to get my house on sell, I feel like there’s way too little contractors, and pretty insane that I would need to use one to place a bowl of fruit on the table. Also yesterday I started with a house and when I opened it today nothing was saved, but I still was missing the money and hearts that were used. Also later on that day I brought another house and when I went back on the app it had no purchase but once again the money was missing. I feel like maybe some products you can have the players do for explain the painting, have use paint it with a brush or roll and then the waiting time can be for us waiting for it to dry. Or like making the bed, hanging something up. Give us more to do while waiting for other things to be ready. And makes it all much more interesting. But the concept so far is great ! I hope to see things get better. !

What’s the point to this game?. I’ve been playing this game for months but now I’ve finished all the cities and unlocked all options that are available. I’ve used all the furnishings, all the paint colors, everything. Honestly, I hoped this game would be awesome. Who doesn’t like a good house re-no game? But this one is only marginally tolerable. There are simply too few options to choose from. The paint colors, for example...they’re all pretty terrible. And instead of having creams, several shades of whites, nice browns, etc...there are about 5 greens, yellows and purple and they’re all really ugly. And two blacks! But the most frustrating parts are 1) when you unlock the highest levels of furnishings and decor, some options take almost 2 days to complete...unless you spend lots of money buying hearts. 2) when you reach the point I’m currently at, there’s no further fun to be had because there’s no point. I’ve accumulated millions and millions of dollars and there’s nothing to do with it. Sadly, I’m deleting this game today.

Good, but needs a bit.... I really enjoy this game, but I feel like it could use a bit of improving. Yes, it uses a lot of elbow grease to do a single task, however, I don’t feel like that is a major issue. I think that there should be a few more flips in each city before the next one opens up. You just don’t have enough money built up otherwise. Also, I don’t think the game accurately gauges the different income levels. It will tell you to use higher priced items for certain houses but I have yet to get even close to a full offer on any of those houses. I’ve always made a profit, but not near the 10% you’re supposed to aim for. As far as wishes for the game, I wish it would tell you what the income level is for the homes at the open houses. I wish there was more choices/colors for staging furniture. Finally, I wish the elbow grease payment made more sense. For example, 23,000 to replace appliances, but only 9,000 for a new roof? It makes no sense!

Great At First.... When I first downloaded this game, I was having a blast. I was flipping houses left and right, quickly gaining hearts, and have a great time. But then, I noticed the more updates I unlocked and used, the more hearts I had to use to speed up my renovations. When I’m on the app, I want to constantly be renovating yet I cannot speed up the renovations when I have no hearts. I recently purchased 500 hearts, and I very quickly used them up for the renovation of HALF a house because I do not have the patience to wait 3 hours to install a fridge or 1 hour to put in grass! On top of this, when you run out of elbow grease and hearts, there is no way for you to “fixer upper” anything without using actual money to purchase more hearts. The hearts should be unlimited to keep a constant flow of playing the game, to keep users interested and on the app much more. I’m not saying there is a problem with having renovation time for users who want to take it a slow pace. BUT, for users like me who thoroughly enjoy the renovations and decorating, the app creators should get rid of hearts once and for all, OR have the user purchase hearts with the online money.

A few improvements would take it to the next level. Ultimately I really like the game but there are a few changes that would bring it from good to great. The first is to allow you to work on more than one project at a time, that way you are never at a complete standstill. As long as you have the money you should be able to invest in more than one property. It's also more realistic because you want to wait till the market is hot to sell your property to get the best offer but if you do that then you can't play. Also adding the feature to remove the house from sale without having to wait out the four hour window would also be helpful. Friends that also play the game should be able to help with minimizing the time on a particular project, sometimes you have to wait 6 hours for one project and that's exasperating unless you want to spend all your hearts.

It’s fun but..... Like every game, it’s fun for awhile. Granted, I feel like the fun lasted longer than with others before I was swept into the whole “Spend real money or the fun stops.” routine but nonetheless, I’ve reached that point where there’s a lot of waiting and not a significant amount of actual playing. The “elbow grease” is a slow-filling machine and if you want it any faster, then you need hearts. The hearts are also hard to come by eventually. I think if you’re making a profit flipping houses, you should be able to use that money to buy hearts instead of real money. I just want to play and enjoy the game without spending my real grocery money on a fantasy hobby I don’t actually have. 🤷‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Also - the options become very limited, the choices are often terrible (Pink tile? Orange cabinets? Pinkish-orange countertops??, black toilet? Yellow couch? Reddish-brown floors? Dark green wall paint when we all know how often Jo talks about “lightening things up”?) and so on.....

Pretty Good :). Scale needs to be fixed. The couches are the size of the pillows on the bed! I don’t know why this bothers me so much lol. Also I’d appreciate some explanation for why some houses take 2 hours to fix an item and others take 2 minutes. Am I not supposed to buy those houses until I’ve surpassed a point in another town? It seems to be with the larger, more expensive homes but there isn’t any description as to the reason. I wish I could choose what I unlock next. Sometimes it’s a new level of paint when other colors in the cheapest level paint haven’t even been unlocked yet. Same with other materials. I also think lighting should be split up per item and cheaper. That way I can choose if I want lamps and a fan or just sconces etc. It doesn’t make sense to put recessed lighting, sconces, a fan and lamps in a room that already has lamps on the side tables. It’s too much but you’re forced into if you want to get to the next level.
