MSecure - Password Manager Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Pretty good. I really like this app and it has saved me a gazillion times, since I cannot ever remember my passwords. Why not a 5 star rating? I’ve hand mSecure for awhile now and when they upgraded about a yr ago my info transferred over yes, but the information was jumbled. ie... it has the password under name on card, or as the phone number. I can figure it out but it’s frustrating. Feature I really like: on Apple phones when entering passwords into website you can either use mSecure or passbook to login. MSecure will also make passwords for you and remember them so you don’t have to. I really like that mSecure will sync with your other devises so you don’t have to email a backup. I sync with an iPad and my husbands iPhone and iPad. So if he makes changes or additions I get them as well.

Excellent App !! Read why!!. I usually don’t write reviews - but, I thought this one was worth it. This is hands-down one of the best and most frequently used apps I have! It has saved me in so many ways.... I have close to 200 passwords and there is no way I could possibly remember all of them especially with the challenging password criteria that’s required these days. I use this for network & program login credentials as well as for other private information that needs to be documented and retrievable at a moment’s notice. This app is very easy to use. Now, here’s the reason I chose mSecure: in addition to researching app info and reviews,,, mSecure was recommended to me by a former CIO I worked with and an IT Forensics Officer who personally use this app. That is a great endorsement and good enough for me.

Fantastic App. I have been using this App for many years (I think since v2). I love the app and have my wife and kids all using it as well. Sync is flawless between my I iPhone, iPad and laptop. I use this more than almost any other app as I have every website I visit stored in mSecure. It makes it a breeze to stir and retrieve passwords and user names etc. it allows me to keep important data at hand and secure as well as use complicated 8,9,10,12 character passwords that would be impossible to remember for all my banking and financial websites and every other website so it is very hard to get hacked when your digital life is secure and locked down but easily accessed when needed in just a few clicks. Arguably, one of the best appsI own and use and may be the best $20 I ever spent for myself and each of my family members.

No local syncing options. I've used mSecure for years, choosing to sync locally with my desktop computer instead of optional cloud syncing such as Dropbox. I feel more secure doing it this way. With this new version they've done away with other cloud syncing and introduced their own cloud server syncing. Again, with all the companies being hacked nowadays I prefer to keep my syncs local. mSecure 5 does give you the option of not using their cloud server syncing, but it will no longer sync with a local computer. You can do backups to the same device that it's installed on, but if something happens to that device, or if you delete mSecure from that device, you lose the backups too. I didn't know that they were removing the ability to do local sync. Disappointing. EDIT 2/8/18: Local syncing is back, and I’m revising my review to a 5 star rating. I wouldn’t be without this app, and would like to add that their support is top notch IF you use the support forums. Well monitored by support staff and quick answers. Don’t bother sending an email as you’ll only get referred to the forums anyway.

A happy msecure user. I have been a Ver. 4 user for years and have accumulated a large number of entries (I use msecure to store a variety of key data in addition to passwords and card numbers). When I tried to convert to V5 several years ago, I did not like the way my entries were converted and therefore remained a V4 user. The new V6 is clearly a much more matured and very well thought out design, and has proven to offer a smooth transition from V4 to V6. As a business engineer, I am also attracted by the ability to attach documents such as pdf files, a feature which should drastically expand the usefulness of msecure). Therefore, I have decided to, quite willingly, become a subscriber. The subscription fee is very reasonable, in my opinion.

Long-time Happy User!!!. I was HAPPY when they started a subscription, because it tells me that I can trust mSecure to be in business for a long time. Developers need to make money, folks. I’ve had an iPhone since way back when there were only 350 apps in the App Store, and I’ve seen a LOT of great apps fade away… developers go out of business when they rely on the initial app purchase price alone. Games and other apps that have moving parts to their usage can sustain themselves on ad revenue, in-app purchases, and fee-for-services… and huge companies can toss out a free app now and then to lure you into their other (pay-wall) services. But when a development team is committed to sustaining and growing a multi-featured deep-level developed app, the subscription model is win-win. Win for me because when I subscribe to something, I trust that the app is being taken care of, so that my precious data is secure, backed up, and easily available to me. Bonus: mSecure developer is very responsive. Awhile back I emailed them a question, and I got a complete answer in one day. Perfect.

Best Password and important private information app. I have been using this app for years and recently updated my phone and many of my apps and information did not properly download to my new phone. I was in a panic when I could not get this app up as it contained all my important information. I contacted them and they were very responsive and helpful in getting all important information back on track and running smooth. I was very impressed and thankful. Great group of people ready and willing to make sure I had everything I needed to access all my private important information. Lifesaver!

Waste of screen space. Why do you insist on totally destroying screen space?????? Total fail!!!!!! Why the heck did you increase the fonts size so anyone from 50 ft away can easily see it. Not helping with privacy and security to say the least. The app use to show the title line, which was 1 line per item entry. Now it shows the title and ALL the additional field. End result, now I have to scroll through pages, and pages, and pages to get to the item I’m interested in. Why do you make it more difficult and more time consuming to use this app. Is it your sole mission in life to keep coming up with ways to agitate paying users. If you are going to add stupid thing as I listed above, how about giving us options to view only the titles, and change font sizes. If we want to see additional info, we can drill down to get it. The way it is now is like having to look for a needle in a haystack. Absolute total nonsense. Are you so open minded that your brain leaked out?

Web accessibility makes it a must-have app. I love that I can access mSecure on the web via my laptop and retrieve my information. Years ago I once used a password app on Blackberry that was useless when my devise was damaged. Uploading the info to PC was useless because it was coded and I couldn’t read it. A hack was eventually used that retrieved my data as text. It was better than loosing years of information, but I learned my lesson. Access via multiple platforms will save your tail. And the premium version of the app is worth the money for he photo option alone. Entering multiple 16-digit credit and debit card numbers is so tedious. Just photography both sides. 👍🏽

Best One Out There. I’ve tried almost all the other password manager apps out there and none of them beat the functionality or performance of MSecure. It’s intuitive, flexible and stable. I can access from my phone, laptop and desktop and all are seamlessly integrated in real time. I store literally every piece of important information in this app, and I use it daily. The customer support is also top notch. I’ve recommended this app to all of my family and friends. If you are looking for the best app to securely store your passwords and any other important information in a clean, easy to use interface, then MSecure is the best choice in my opinion.

Scam - Version 5 Removed. I paid for version 5 quite a while back. I own it. Or, at least I did, until you decided on a subscription pay-wall calling it version 6 with all the bells and whistles. I don’t want version 6. I’m perfectly happy with version 5. Now, I find version 6 has over-written version 5 as a subscription pay-wall. You can’t try to blame it on Apple. You’re the software developer and I purchased version 5 from you and I want it back. This amounts to fraud. You should be ashamed of your unscrupulous business tactics. I still have version 4 on my iPhone, but version is gone. That’s an absolute outrage. *********************** You don’t get it. I don’t want a SUBSCRIPTION, free or not free. I paid for version 5. I own version 5, not version 6 with a free subscription. What you’ve pulled off is an absolute fraud. And, it’s illegal.

Missing something?. Used version 4 for several years. One thing I miss (or haven’t found) in version 5 is the ability to create my own category for data. Not every thing I enter is a login, or a credit card, etc. I really miss being able to create my own type of category with free form fields. The biggest mistake I made was in version 4, I lost track of my actual password to get into the app. Sure, I was able to use my bio print, but wish there was a good way to change that forgotten all important master password. The email at work where I deal with sensitive patient and student data is easier to change. And finally, what was the use of having all those backups if I can’t import that data...into the new version; or even print it out as a reference? I upgraded my phone and all my apps except mSecure 4 transferred data...from old phone to the new one. So since I was going to have to start all over and reenter ALL that data, I went ahead and upgraded to version 5. Big mistake.

Fantastic PW app. I had another paid developer app who bailed and changed the app and I lost all my passwords with the iOS 14.5 upgrade. So the hind was on for a good password app. I will not pay monthly or annual fees and was willing to pay a one time fee. I tried 7 other apps and they all came up short. This one exceeded my needs and most importantly had the option to auto update to the iCloud (and other popular services). I also like I can search a database for personal icons or upload my own. Lots of options to personalize and organize your passwords as well. As long as they don’t bail on upgrading the app to work with new iOS upgrades I’ll be very happy.

Most valuable App. This is the best application I have as it frees up my mind of passcodes, security codes, combinations, secret words/phrases and more. I love how customizable the tool is and how flexible it is to go from my Mac to my phone to my work computer, everything is synced and ready to go. I’ve come to the rescue for my family’s passwords and clients too. Could the app be improved? I keep asking, it would be incredibly helpful to allow for the field selected to enlarge full screen when rotated horizontally or include a magnifying glass option. The App uses a lovely yet tiny font. The rest of my phone has the ability to scale type. It’s always necessary to bring my reading glasses to put my codes into devices like printers or computers that are not my own. I get it, as a designer we want to keep the interface clean, but please consider accessibility.

Don’t buy this product. So just to set expectations, I’ve used MSecure since version 4. When I was forced to upgrade to v5, I decided to reward the company with some money for a good product and purchased their “pro” membership for $30. I believed they had earned it. Unfortunately this company’s greed knows no bounds. Now they have created a new version (again, which their app forced me into an upgrade of) and dropped the $30 pro membership off the map. They now offer a “premium” subscription (monthly or yearly) if you want to keep same features you had previously. They claim pro membership keeps everything they had (and gets more) but it’s a lie. Here’s just one example. In v5, you had ability to assign a password entry to a “group”, to better organize your passwords. I have a group for my utilities logins, for example. Groups were a “pro” feature, if I recall correctly. In v6, they’ve taken away groups and replaced them with “tags” which can be added to password entries (now called vaults). The only problem??? Tags are one of the paywall-blocked features in their new premium subscription model. So in their greed to make more money, they are taking away features already paid for unless you agree to their subscription. I’ll be moving on to a different product and no longer will support these money grubbers. I advise all of you new to this to do the same.

They used to be great. Now your info is Up there.. I’ve been a LONG time user of MSecure. Probably gotten hundreds of people to sign up, as it felt safer, and much better than the built in iOS password manager. Frankly, the old app still is better. We live in a world where prying us are always there. I felt this company felt the same way. I have NO problem paying, I prefer paying for apps, but now that I’ve upgraded my phone, I went to update all my apps, and now you cannot use the app without a login. That means my passwords are stored somewhere on a server. It should be localized to your phone, your own privacy, where no one can see it. Don’t tell me about encryption. If I don’t want to sync across devices, give me the opportunity to use the app on my own private device. Sadly disappointed. I guess I won’t be recommending this app anymore.

Initially good program. When ewe first got the free app it worked great but when we upgraded to the paid version everything about the app went south. We couldn’t sync the password data base between our phones or iPads any longer. Instructions said to restore from a backup. Once one of us (wife or myself) restored to our iphone or iPad it wiped out the data base on all of our other devices. I emailed support and all I got back was a canned email instructing me to restore from a previous backup. Again wiping out the password database on all other devices except the device where the restore was done. Another problem, if you change your password for mSecure and do a backup you have to remember your old password from the time you backed up. Your current password won’t work. Best advice I can offer is avoid this app unless you only intend using it on one device only. Very frustrating.

Use to be a good product. Loved the older version, but this new release is garbage. It no longer carries the full URL over to Safari when making that selection (trims everything after the “.com”). Now I’m also seeing that many of the features they indicated would still be included after the upgrade, are no longer part of included with the version that I purchased a little over a year ago. They pretty much tricked me into installing the new version, because it started coming up with warning messages that the current version I was using was no longer supported and the new version would still have all the features I was using included in the free (their words) version and only new features would be in the premium. I will be moving off Msecure as fast as I can. I can’t imagine how many people will get locked out of Msecure when they disable touch or Face ID.

Love it!. Great way to store your passwords or just simply remember your logins to all the various websites/apps we encounter. The one time fee for full access beats any subscription service I’ve seen from other password platforms while offering the ability to generate passwords, track how many times you use a single password, for how long you have used a password, and the ability to group logins for quick reference. I also use the secure note to keep track of important document numbers (passport, SSN, etc.) for everyone in the family. I really like the ability to share across devices so when my wife needs a login she can check the app first versus hunting me down whenever she needs it. 5 stars. No obvious flaws.

Used to be a great app. I have used the free version MSecure for many years. I don’t begrudge the company for making a pro version with more features, but they seemed to have pushed out some of the basic features into the pro version to force you to upgrade. If these features had always been on the pro version I would understand, but they started out free to draw in new customers and then were moved up after the app gained more recognition You used to have the ability to create an email backup and automatic sync was a pro feature. This was a bit slow and clunky, but it was nice in the event something happened with my phone. Now all backups are a pro feature and when my wife and I bought new phones this weekend we were left high and dry without any way of backing up our data. Actual quote from this weekend, “Sorry Wife, the app that we have used for years has decided to put the free version of backing up our data behind a paywall and I didn’t notice so our options are to spend $30 right now or just lose the data.” Thanks for that argument. Next feature that is missing is the biometric login. I had touch login on my previous phone, but after upgrading to the iPhone 11 it is now locked behind a $30 paywall. I understand you get more “features” for that $30 than just the biometric login, but why is that a pro feature in the first place? There are tons of apps out there where it is a basic feature so charging money for it seems like a money grab.

Under Rated. I just spent the last week trying the top rated password managers - Keeper, 1 Password, Dashlane, LastPass, etc. Compared to mSecure, I found them all lacking. mSecure offers the greatest flexibility when it comes to item types, adding custom fields, organizing items into groups, and displaying items in a way that best meets your needs. Many of the password managers noted above don't even offer custom fields or attachments. I use mSecure to store photos of my receipts which is not possible in many of the other products. The only missing feature in mSecure is auto fill on the iMac, but that apparently will be available in mSecure 6. It's already available on the iphone.

Forced to upgrade to newer edition, then lost features behind a paywall. I used to love the app. Then I was forced to upgrade to a newer version because the version I had was no longer going to be supported. No big deal, fine by me. But now the basic features I use to have, like biometric login, are now locked behind a paywall. Shady business practices. Do not recommend. Edit: Wow what a despicable developer response. I received a message upon opening mSecure 5 that it was no longer supported and I would need to update to version 6 to continue using it. Asserting that this is not happening is ludicrous when you have multiple individuals telling you it is occurring. Hiding behind OS updates being the source of these forced updates is also dishonest. You chose not to support previous versions. You chose to move previously free content behind a paywall. If you want to develop new features and charge for them, that’s completely understandable. Pulling the rug out from your customers by charging for what was previously free is the source of our ire. Do better.

Long-time User/Lover, Not Weird. I’ve used this app since before the massive update that freaked out (i.e. caused some serious nerd rage) a few years ago. As the dust settled, the MSeven team proved they could put it off and the end result is more sleek, more clean, more intuitive, more customizable, and offers a slew of additional functionality. I am a user that still prefers password manager applications that allow me lots of control of my data, local/only-on-device storage option or optional cloud-enablement (when and if I want), and do not require a subscription service. Once I find something that works great and cost what I deem an incredibly fair price, I tend to stick with it. End of day, I don’t care what others think, I am happy and besides a brief migration hiccup have always been happy/satisfied with this app. From my experience, if you’re looking for a cheaper and just as serviceable pwd manager (compared to some of the bigger players) then you may feel similarly about using this app. Good luck! 😎🤙

You'll be getting more than you bargain for. I bought the $30 version of this app. So far it seems to be OK at its job. BUT! Without prior disclosure, the mSecure app comes with the capability of allowing my ad blockers to be completely bypassed and, for example, allowing a number of big ads to be dropped into and around the newspaper I read daily. Moreover, mSecure has apparently outsourced its customer support work to some third party, with which they are careful to explain they have no connection. This third party--with which mSecure says it has no connection--has no customer support telephone number I can locate. The third party company does have a website but that site has only been capable of sending me around in circles without being of any help at all in solving the problem of the unwanted ads that mSecure has allowed to be inserted. In short, I've found this third party website essentially useless. as a source of assistance. So, I've paid for the newspaper, I've paid for the mSecure password vault, and I've paid for the ad-blocker only to find that mSecure has found a way to bombard me with unwanted ads and no way to turn them off and no way to get a refund.

Best PW app by far!. I’m definitely not fond of the subscription model and will not subscribe to many apps with them. Having said that, MSecure is one of the few that I will subscribe to. The program has been solid for me and I do get lots of value from it. I’m sure I use it several times a day without even thinking about it. It’s so seamless and works as intended. There is nothing more valuable than your passwords and their security, so investing in that is really a no brainer. I purchased the program years ago, and think that the developers offering 50% off the premium for life is a good gesture for those of us with longevity and customer loyalty. Looking forward to the apps development in the future.

Tech Bros are Gunna Tech Bro! Tricked into upgrading to v 5. Anti-consumer.. Update: The developers actually did get back to me: Instead of acknowledging the actual problem and frustration, these tech bro devs pick on the semantics on my review. I would love to read what the TOS was at the time, but their rebuttal is proof that this a futile gesture. Penetration pricing and subscription based apps are a flesh eating bacteria on the future of tech that devs see has a cool new feature! Good News! Your purchase is null and void and as a loyal customer you get to pay for it again, but this time it’s monthly and indefinitely (until we change our minds/tos again)! - I have been using MSecure for 8 years. Worked as needed and bought a full version of the app shortly after, and many versions ago. MSecure slowly booted me from version to upgraded version slowly taking away features I had already paid for before now going to a subscription model. You now need to pay for things that used to be in the free version, so my purchase now gets me less than what their free version even recently included. I am not asking for unlimited technological updates, just for what I paid for in this company’s early stages, but now I have lost for biometric unlocking and now have no way to back up my data even via email which used to even be in the free option. This seems like a lot of companies have disposed of loyalty and utility for that con of recurring rev. Look elsewhere.

Best Password Manager. I have used several different password managers over the years, and I have to say this is by far the best one and easiest one to use. I love that I am able to customize the fields to what I want. The one thing that I don’t like and is a very small issue. When I use the date field for some reason when I want to use the current date I have to physically change the date to the next day and then change it back to the correct date before i save my work. I’m not sure if it’s something I am doing wrong or if that’s the way it works. Other than that one small issue I love this program.

A good program has been messed up.. I paid for the version prior to this new update. I loved the app. It was simple and easy to navigate and you could find what you were looking for in a heart beat. Now, it’s a mess. I can find some passwords but not all. I tried entering those missing into the secure notes, which was available to me prior to the update, but when I put something in there now it doesn’t show up. The only place it shows up is in “recents”. I moved it to combinations and it doesn’t show up there either. I used to could use the folders I created, now the folders are there but nothing is in them. This is horrible.

Version 5, 2 stars; older versions, 4 stars. Developers claim, with pride, that version five is new from the ground up and not simply an upgrade of prior versions. Unfortunately, this seems to be true. While it a added some new features, it neglected to bring over some useful old features. Furthermore, no thought seems to have been given to migrating from old versions to version five. The process of migrating itself is cumbersome and obviously not thought out. And as a result migrated data are filled with errors. They would have been much better off doing version five as a major overhaul of earlier versions cleaning the good illuminating the bed and adding new features. Overall, a pretty poor job. Imagine upgrading to a new version of Excel and finding some nice bills and whistles, but also finding shortcuts that you used to use no longer being available, and worse, that the data in your old spreadsheet are now garbled.

Very happy with upgrade. I initially was frustrated by the need to rebuy MSecure which I have used for years to get the newest version. But now months later I am very happy with the new service and think that the upgrade is well worth it. The cloud syncing, new formats, interface, and ongoing maintenance make this a valuable upgrade for me. I have told many friends about MSecure and have about 8-10 others who have made the purchase recently and love it. UPDATE: Now more than a year after the release of the newest mSecure, I am glad at just how seemless it is to install on my devices as well as my wife’s and syncing is absolutely seamless and doesn’t require any extra thought. It just works. I’ve continued to recommend mSecure to family and friends who have likewise been very happy with the purchase

Must have - reliable & quick to sync without any delay.. It’s 5 stars if you only need iPad/iPhone version. MSecure is the longest app I continue use (almost a decade ago) & upgrade to current version. Never encounter problems for sync, extremely stable, and no delay to install in a new device. Most important design is the developer team know how to let their users/clients to control their own item info. I will give 4.5 stars if you want Mac version too because there’s no side index to jump to (ie as contact app has a,b,c etc). Also developer website is like maze to get to certain info (perhaps is a good design to protect their clients info in cloud). Overall, it’s a paid app I rely on in daily basis & it’s worth for the purchase to protect your family password & personal info. For me, it’s a must have app.

I just got spooked. I found this section on reviews looking for how to backup and restore my mSecure. It’s working fine by the way, as good as it has since day 1 (I was on the first release). But I thought what happens if it doesn’t or I forget my mSecure password? I am toast or at least in big trouble. It spooked me so I got here. Great product, love it and use it many times a day some days. I guess I am slow on those days. Oh, while I am here - can you give us an easy was to backup in a txt file? Or am I missing something? Please don’t give us the it’s not secure answer. Post it notes aren’t secure either. Let us take our chances so I can print off my passwords and put it in my safe. Please and if you can already do it I can’t find out how. Thank you.

Great Password Manager+. This is a great password manager plus is keeps so much more in it. It can be a personal manager for you also. Passport info, car info, credit card information and more all Secured for you. Plus tags in each item for quick filtering. You can create vaults for sharing with others and place items that only they need to see in them. Customize the template for the type of item (i.e. login or vehicle info) your working on to have the information you want. I’m telling you this is one of the best managers for passwords I have ever had and you can do so much more with it. I highly recommend.

Great app with One big problem!. Here is the security issue with this new version. You MUST create an account to unlock your secure info and that account is cloud based. So Right out of the gate you send your master password to Msecure/cloud. I created a test account and then disabled my phone connection to cell service and WiFi and tried to change the master password and guess what happened - a message that says I must connect to the cloud to change my password. For this reason and only this reason I'm giving one star. Not good Mseven Software, not good. Oh, and before the developer response telling us how secure their cloud service and website are, just remember everyone is hackable. A company responsible for passwords, what a nice target that would be for a bad guy. And what if they had a court order to give up our passwords how do you think that would play out. The bottom line is, once it’s out there it’s not under your control. Having said that, I love their old offline version!

Very pleased!. I used mSecure 4 for many years and found it very valuable. When 5.0 initially came out I procrastinated doing the upgrade because transferring my data seemed like it would be a daunting task. Well a couple of days ago I jumped in to the upgrade. First I would like to report when I submitted a question to the support team I got a response faster than expected, +1! Next I did the upgrade with mSecure cloud syncing and very quickly my passwords from my 4 version populated! Syncing my iPad worked without a flaw and only took about a minute. This morning I got an email checking that my initial question had been resolved because they had not heard back from me and wanted to be sure all was working. I’m very pleased!! I will certainly recommend mSecure to others.

This is the real deal!. This current version does everything anyone would want in a password manager. It generates, securely stores and gives easy access to your passwords. This app can be synched with several different storage media and can export your data to a spreadsheet. I actually generate and change my passwords frequently since I got this app, just as one should. I started using mSecure in version 4 and loved it. I was one of the unhappy users that complained about the lack of WiFi synching capability when version 5 came out. Version 5.5 fixed all of that and then some! Synching is fast and seamless so I can keep my iOS devices totally up-to-date, along with my Windows version on my laptop. I don’t like using the cloud, so I am very comfortable with using the backup and WiFi synching functions in this app. But, if you like using the cloud, mSecure gives you several options. Plus, I had a minor problem when I was trying to set up synching, but, no worries, mSeven support came quickly to my rescue. Sorry for all the words - I’m not used to writing reviews and I want to make sure that potential users understand how great this app is.

Great Producty - Outstanding Customer Service. I've been using the app for a few days now and ran into a couple issues from the start. I sent in requests for help, not really expecting much due to my past experiences with most developers. I had a response the next business day and within another day we had both issues resolved and everything is working well. Outside of the unique issues I had, the app is easy to use and you really don't need much instruction for basic use. And when you consider that it's only $30 one time while the rest charge a yearly subscription of that much or more, this app is an easy decision. We'll be moving our passwords to mSecure. *Update* it’s been a couple weeks now and I’ve had a few questions for customer service. Their response and follow up procedures are great. I’ve actually had two emails confirming that my issues were resolved. Every request for help has been answered and they stayed with it until I figured it out.

Super Handy and Reliable. I’ve been using this app for over 5 years and haven’t experienced one mishap yet. The only problems I’ve incurred have been my own doing. I really like that i can add stored pictures and documents to this app. It’s very intuitive and simple enough for anyone to utilize. Let’s face it, in this technology world, who has the time or capacity to memorize all the passwords we use in our daily work and personal life. This app is gold and safe and i would recommend it to anyone who needs help managing their many passwords and logons. Also, important, if you’re not comfortable with using a site to store sensitive items, you can always within the app, use your own created “hint words” to remember your password. This adds another level of security.

Great App👍👍. First off if you’re complaining after years of using version 4 with a bunch of free updates and now you have to pay $30 for this company to continue to give you updates you are just crazy, cheap and do not understand people have to make money to continue to provide you SERVICES. That aside I understand why a lot of people hated version 5 at first because it was made wrong on the consumers part by not offering different ways to sync but now they offer you many ways to sync and it supports iPhone X (yes this update took forever) and that’s my only complaint about this company is that they are very slow on supporting new features in their updates. I personally would be glade to pay $5-$10 a year if they can update faster with new features that Apple offers. 1Password charges its customers like $60 a year, that nuts. Thanks again for making a great app. 👍👍

usernames & passwords app and much more. I came to mSecure because my former app, Passwords Plus, by Dataviz, was discontinuing their product. I had used Passwords Plus for over 20 years, first on my PDA (remember them?), then on my PC, phones and tablets. I was truly depressed to find out my most frequently used app was going away. However, mSecure was receiving as an equivalent replacement and, although I was skeptical, the transfer of my data from Passwords Plus to the new platform was seamless and the data was intact. It has took me a little bit of time to get used to mSecure, but the learning curve was low and I am very pleased with its ease of use.

Subscriptions really aren’t necessary. Been a long time user of MSecure. I use it daily, and will continue to use it until they require a subscription, then I will no longer use it. As of now M seven says I can continue without a subscription. But I can no longer recommend it. Subscription services are becoming more and more common, but are not to the benefit of the customers. Please don’t follow the new normal. Edit MSecure was kind enough to reply to my review. To be clear, I have been very happy with this software for years. I’m glad they’re allowing myself and others to continue using the product. I’m finding it still does exactly what I want. My complaint is with the industry wide push toward subscription fees. Myself and many, many others will not continue using products that require a monthly or annual fee. I dropped Adobe years ago, I dropped Office, I dropped Arcade. Subscriptions force limiting my software to a monthly budget, and I WILL drop the software requiring subscriptions first, over purchased software. Ill drop Apple if it forces me to. Thanks

Best, most intuitive password app. I have used mSecure for years. Before upgrading to the new version I decided to try out other password apps on the App Store. Some were clunky, or required monthly subscription fees, and none were as intuitive and as easy to manage as mSecure. This app is simple to use, and makes life so much easier. It syncs between my iPad and iPhone with ease. I still have a Windows 7 Desktop PC, so I can no longer sync to that, but I won’t debit the creators on this issue, since Windows will soon be withdrawing support for 7, like they did for XP and I will be forced to upgrade to 10 in the near future. For the pice and minimal hassle of use, I still prefer this app.

Good password manager but force to deal with Ads. I’ve used MSecure since version 4 and paid full price back then so that I didn’t have to deal with subscriptions and pop up Advertisements. As a legacy user of the MSecure we were forced to upgrade to version 5 and or pay for an upgrade. Legacy users were then force again to upgrade to version 6 with an essentials account. With the option of going to a paid subscription for features that I don’t have a need for. Now they decided to have force pop up ads for essential account users. While I understand a company or developers need to make money and survive this also makes for a poor user experience for those who paid full price for the app or upgrade to not have to deal with Ads. So if your not a subscriber even though you paid full price as a legacy used you have to deal with the pop up Ads to upgrade to a subscriber. This action has soured my user experience with Msecure. Aside this MSecure has been a good password manager app if your willing to pay for features and subscription. Because my needs are for only a simple password manager with backup capabilities I may have to now look for alternatives password manager such as Data Vault where I don’t have to put up with Ads and subscriptions in the future. I am sticking with MSecure for now as the pop up ad only appears each time you close the app completely.

Easy to use and secure. I am very satisfied with the product. It is exactly what I was looking for. It is easy to use, and easy to access your information. I didn’t see a tutorial for using the product not to say it isn’t one. Once I figured out how to setup one password you realize that all selections on the menu setup the same way which I like. It has Face ID to enter the program which makes it easy to use. I only needed it to store a few passwords and my vehicles license plates; Password Manager-mSecure is up to the job. It stores credit cards which I am not using. It has a long list of selections you can choose from. Password Manager-mSecure is not a sleek looking program just simple screens it is worth taking a look at.

Hate the pop up ad. This developer is out of touch and making terrible decisions. Look at all of these reviews asking for that annoying advertisement to be removed and he refuses. He claims the ad only comes back if you force close the application but that is definitely not the case for me. I see it constantly and it makes me mad every time. What a lousy thing to place a banner in the app and refuse to remove it because you are too proud to admit you made a mistake. I paid for this app - you are ticking off paid customers, that’s bad business. What a terrible way to do a business! He knows the advertisements annoy people and insists on keeping them anyway. Do you really think we need to be constantly reminded that an upgrade it is possible? It is clear the banner is annoying a large number of users and you simply don’t care. I will never upgrade out of principle only at this point.

Couldn’t survive without this app!. Over many years I have accumulated a significant amount of email addresses (both work and personal), web and app accounts, personal information, even clothing sizes or other gifting information and of course passwords. A day does not go by in which I don’t need to look up some of this often critical data. On many occasions this app has saved me significant amounts of heartache and frustration! While it is not the most beautiful app I own, IT IS one of the most important. A beautiful app with no usefulness has little value, unless its purpose is to be beautiful. And even these apps frequently require account info. The ability to add fields of my particular type and design is especially important as it allows me to quickly and easily include information about the account, service, subscription, etc., that is not included in the provided template. For example, it isn’t unusual to need an account number field which is not typically included in the majority of entry types. Lastly, the value and ability to utilize the app, and sync its information, across every single device, including my laptop, as well as backup the information from any device cannot be overstated. And, it has the same look and feel everywhere.

Switched from paid app to subscription service. I like MSecure but seeing them switch to a subscription model is difficult. I am a medical student with no income and for people in situations like mine, the overall trend toward using subscription revenue to drive up income is disheartening and is affecting more and more of my favorite apps. I simply cannot afford to make these monthly or yearly fees for all the apps I use regularly. I see password apps as services I hope to be using for the next several decades without having to switch and in that period of time the new pricing model will greatly outpace the one-time purchase price that used to be offered. I no longer think MSecure is a good value for this reason. Apple Passwords is free to use, has better financial longevity, and is a better alternative for all unless these extra features are worth paying for.

UPDATE- knocking off stars due … it was great password manager out there. UPDATE - I am still a fan, however recently I am getting a notification every time I open the application to upgrade. As a longtime user who has decided not to upgrade this is very annoying. if you want to let me know once in a while like twice a year, perhaps fine but not every time I open the app. I am a long time fan of msecure having used it for years. Yes the upgrade to msecure 5 was not the best and many of us had major issues. Yes there was initial poor communication regarding the release but then there was an acknowledgment and apology. I had issues and reached out to support and the support was fabulous. They were patient and responsive. I love being able to export my entire volume of spreadsheets to one excel document as that gives me security that no matter what my information is always accessible. Give the developers a break and you won’t be disappointed with this clean, crisp, easy to use app.

Nickel and diming us now. I have had this app for a few years now and was very happy with it initially. Then I was disappointed when they wouldn’t support the old version and had to pay for the new version to continue using it. Now I tried to log into the app with my thumbprint and discovered that with the recent update they are going to charge me for that feature, however there isn’t even a way to sign up for that feature so I still can’t use my thumbprint even if I wanted to pay for it. I understand developers need to make money, I just believe that you should choose a method of making money and stick to it rather than adding more nickel and diming ways to collect from your customers. I will be trying other apps to hopefully find a better replacement.

MSecure version 6. WARNING!! This is not just a regular upgrade to version 4 or 5. It is a subscription and if you have auto app upgrades turned on (as I did) your current version will be overwritten. You will not be given an option to reject upgrade or authorize subscription fees. Much worse the password storage and backup files are NOT compatible with version 4 or 5 and version 6 will NOT sync with your other devices unless you upgrade all of them Msecure does not provide any method to roll back to previous version and you cannot delete version and reinstall version 5. There is no way to try version 6 and keep version 5 should you not want a subscription or don’t like the changes in the new version. Further, if you use earlier versions on other devices you will get dunning messages to upgrade or warnings that the old app may not work in the future and your data will be lost. The Apple App Store should never allow marketing of this type.

Not there yet. I’m kinda sick of having to manually type the same email addy for all my website logins. Why not allow a person to create basic profile info with auto fill or drop downs for repetitive fields like a users email address?

Secure transfer from old to new. I’ve been using this product for years. Don’t know what I would do without it. Upgrading from 4 to 5 was seamless. Very happy :)

Lost functionality. After app updates some functionality that originally came with app is now subscription only. I paid for the app and now don’t have all the functions I paid for. Can no longer download and email my passwords. I am in the process of manually writing down all the passwords so I can transfer to another app. Do not buy.

Used to love this, Devs got greedy. You’re kidding yourselves if you think I’m going to pay $45 a year for this. Would be fine paying that for a full version ONCE but as an annual subscription it is a joke. Removing Touch ID as a free feature is probably the greediest thing you could do.

Breaks my heart. I’ve been a huge fan of mSecure for many years. It really is a great product, so it breaks my heart to say this, but they seem to have dropped the ball. The app no longer works for me (latest iOS and iPhone 7+). I’ve reported it to their support portal, but heard nothing back from them. MSeven, if you’re listening, just let me know what’s going on and I’ll happily update my review. But not having access to my passwords from my phone is just not acceptable.

Apple Watch app terrible. Although I enjoy using the iPhone/iPad version of this app the Apple Watch version is terrible. When it finally loads after crashing several times it only displays 2 of my 80+ entries then crashes again 😤😤😤 Delete app!!!

Cannot adjust category after add entry. On the old MSecure you could move an item to a different category.

Excellent App. I’ve been using mSecure for years (and got my husband hooked too.) It has never failed either of us. I’d be buggered without it! So much important info safely stored and easily accessible...by the right person. Thank you for a wonderful product. Well worth the small investment 👍🏼.

Latest update is a money grab. So I guess my phone auto updated the app and now you need a subscription to use Face ID to unlock mSecure - such a dirty money grab! I’ve been using this app since it came onto the App Store and have recommended to many, but will be deleting now. Way to lose customers!!!

Best password software. Have used this software for years after migrating from the Keeper Password Manager, very satisfied and would recommend.

wifi sync is back. Yay!. Thanks for listening and bringing back wifi sync. Also, there’s something wrong with the function to edit old reviews on iPhone X. When you go into edit mode, as soon as you try to enter text, the existing text disappears from view. I had to go back to my iPhone 6 in order to update my review

Use everyday. I love this app. I have used it for years since my first iPhone and love the way my data is saved and I don’t need to worry about it once the data is entered. I also love the way all my devices are updated when I change or add something.

Gone backwards from v4. Downloaded this for a trial. The pretty new interface is harder to read thanks to spidery thin font and pastel colours. It has lots of new features but I don’t use half the old ones anyway. Plus they want $46 to get it to sync to other devices. App deleted, I will stick with the old version.

Password. When I installed the app I enjoyed the fingerprint application to open now it won’t allow me to use the fingerprint to open I am now requiring to type in password which is very annoying

App. Used to love this app but now when I try to use it to automatically put in login details on a website it doesn’t actually let you, this seemed to happen after an update. Please review and fix the issue!

Not happy with upgrade. I have been using version 4 for a long time, when version 5 became available, i downloaded it thinking it would sync... it wont sync all my passwords, i am missing 60 and no matter how many times i follow instructions, it doesn't help Why didn't you just merge the 2 versions, so frustrating as i am unable to open on my mac which only allows version 5

Killer feature removed. I specially bought the older mSecure some time ago because it offered syncing over home WiFi, without going through the cloud. Although this feature was belatedly reintroduced to this new version, the new app still requires creating an account with mSecure and logging in with that. Why? I want my passwords completely separate from any third parties’ cloud, as the old mSecure provided. I'll keep using the old version and regret paying in advance for this "upgrade".

Excellent, easy to use, top quality. Did the free trial, bought the full version. Recommended to friends, recommended to my own techno-challenged mum who is very pleased and is finding it easy enough for her to use. Highly recommend this app, invest in the full version. It’s worth it.

Excellent App-Highly recommend. Wanted an app that allowed Wi-Fi sync alternative to cloud between Desktop and iPhone. Works perfectly. Interface is clean and easy plus there are plenty of customisations you can make. Support is very good as is the price.

Revealing password is now more time consuming. The update of msecure may have provided better syncing and face recognition but for everyday use one would expect a tap on the password would reveal it. But that is not the case. Please bring back swift and easy.

Hangs. Every time I click the hamburger menu icon I have to wait a almost 30(!) seconds before anything happens. The app just hangs. The same thing happens in other places. I’ll stick to my older version of mSecure until the app is made responsive. I’m on a brand new 8 Plus. Not happy.

Missing data restoring from MSecure 4. I tried restoring backups from the older version of MSecure4 to this new version, but lost quite a few data as they are not ported in from the old version. Please fix. Updated: I did a reinstall and it successfully recovered all the data.

One place, so safe. I love having all my passwords secure and in one location. The finger print login also makes it quick and easy to use.

Images don’t sync over wifi. Good App. Only outstanding issue is that images do not sync over wifi which could cause loss of data if sync is used as a form of backup.

Would be lost without it. Used this app for ten years and I would be lost without it. One off cost in place of a subscription.

Lifesaver. The best app I use. I can manage all my passcodes easily - no need to memorise. I have unique passcodes for everything and I can use strong passcodes - brilliant!

mSecure. Looked at purchasing the pro version, OUCH!!! 😡$47!!! Way too much. It’s good, but not THAT good! As a pensioner, it’s a fortune to me. Sad!😞 Feb 2021 Just checked the upgrade price again, still the same. Obviously not concerned with people who may be a little financially challenged. Out of principle I refuse! I think that the creator/s of mSecure are a little like the people who make apps like this necessary, just taking from a different area! Has it occurred to you that if you halved your grab for money that you may even INCREASE your profits as many more will be able to purchase. Bless people, don’t be a leech! Actually apologies for unloading on you, guess my frustration boiled over. Sometimes it seems like everyone is on the take in this world. I know that there is a lot of time and work in creating an app. Just remember, it’s more blessed to give than receive! It’s a fact that givers are happier than takers. Have a good one!

Can’t Login. I can’t login on any of my PC app versions of MSecure which is a total disaster. This app has been hijacked with the new subscription version and caused all sorts of problems with work, emails, server and banking logins. Stay well clear of this app if you don’t want your life ruined.

Been using this for years. I been using this app for years and never had any trouble. It has been a life saver on many occasions.

Love it. So easy to use. I have the same one on all my Apple devices and it is so easy to sync with them all. This version is way better than the last one I had. I would recommend everyone use this so all your passwords are with you all the time

Excellent app allows storing data on personal storage. There is a push by software providers to only allow online storage of personal data. MSecure responded to customer demand to allow the customer to choose where they store their data. Congratulations for putting customer needs over software ideology. The app does everything required of a password manager superbly!

Super Secure. I have been using Msecure for years now - easy to use, no glitches and reliable. I thoroughly recommend it ! Anthony.

Administration. While the actual app is great, I have found over the last 2 years that the administration staff leave a lot to be desired. Contact with them and settling resolutions are far from acceptable. I’ll keep using the original app as I have paid for it and it works well. However, after paying for the two most recent updates(4/5) I have yet to use them as I cannot get the QR authorization and in submitting requests for contact keep receiving “no-reply” emails which tell me nothing and take me nowhere.

A great vault for your personal info. I’ve been using this app for years and it’s been flawless. Easy to use and secure.

Most useful App. It is so good having the passwords in a secure place, ready to use when I need them

Great App. Very easy to set up and use. I have been using this App for years, love it. This is just an update to say that I still find the App (version 6) very easy to use and a great Password Manager.

Great Program. Well done. Great program, easy to use and gets update improvements on a regular basis. The ability to synchronise is important. Continue the great work.

Syncing. This is a fantastic app. as we can sync my wife’s phone and computer with my phone and computer. With being using it for years it perfect

My best App. I have had mSecure almost from its beginnings & it has been a Godsend. Whilst there have been problems mainly if my own, the support staff have been prompt & efficient. For me it has earned every star in its rating

Fantastic App. Long time user, tested many other password apps in my time , nobody beats this one. Nice to see they aren’t greedy like other app developers that moved to subscription model. Clean, easy to read layout. Keep up the good work..

Great app. I have been using this for a few years now and the latest update makes it fast and responsive. Thanks designers.

Long time user. Stable. Great. Does what they say across devices. A friend was impressed when I retrieved a password without viewing and it disappeared from the generic clipboard not long after closing the App.

Even better!. I’ve been using MSecure for years and moved onto the new v5 recently. I love that it uses biometrics to log in. Everything else is much the same as the original version. It’s so easy to keep your passwords in sync between devices. All round a great product

Not keeping you with new technology. Bought the iPhone 11. Face recognition not available on MSecure. When I could use finger prints it was easy. Now not so much

Always issues when changing phones. I have paid for and been using this app for over 6 years. Every time I change to a new phone I have issues. This time it asked me to reset the password on the new phone, but when I logged in it said there were 116 entries but none were visible. Went back to my old phone and the version I had on my PC, but it wiped those as soon as I logged in. Support advise me this is a function of the reset process, but I did not see any warnings about that when going through the process. Now I have lost 116 password records from years of use. Lesson learned, no trust in electronic password systems any more.

Great App. Thank you MSecure! I have used this app for a number of years and always use it as my go to security app. Love it!

Saved my Bacon many times. I basically live on this app with all my logins and passwords securely locked away. Excellent product.

switching to lastpass totally. after using msecure for years and being pleased with its functionality i found it is now outdated. when i downloaded version 5 as suggested by the old app i now find that stuff is now only available on the “pro” version and is at an outrageous $aud46. i get all the features of last pass far cheaper. luckily while i had the “trial period” in the new app i exported everything ready to make the switch. i understand that the developer needs to turn a profit to keep going and provide some of the syncing and backup features but this price is too much.

Could not live without. Both my husband and I use this app. Works and syncs across all our devices. Phone and device changes/upgrades never a problem. Couldn’t live without it.

Change in access method. Installed free version of this app some time ago. Access was via thumb print. Recently this has changed and it appears only the payed version now has thumb print access. No issue with the the app developer making this a payed feature, but don’t change the rules for people already using app. I wouldn’t have selected your app if this was a payed feature in the first place

Crash. For the past few years haves used this app successfully. Now it crashes every time I open it and no longer have access to my passwords

My passwords are gone. I’ve been using this product for years. A new version has blocked me from the old and I’m unable to import old passwords into the new. So thanks a Msecure. PS Apple has done nothing to assist.

Incredible Product. I have supported MSecure since version 1. They continue to produce an incredible product, each major update. I will continue to support their product. I have referred multiple family members and friends because their product is that good. They truly do care about their customers. Support these developers!!

Outstanding. Over the years it keeps getting better. Specifically, simpler to set up and use across devices without having to juggle way too many confusing passwords and be terrified I’d lose everything. Beautiful now.

Perfect security. What a absolutely great app. Feel 100% secure

WiFi Sync WARNING Ver5 to 6. Great app, have used it for years and does what I need, keeping everything synched between phone/laptop/desktop. ⚠️ warning: Backup before WiFi syncing. Most of my records are updated on the phone, don’t use PC version very often. When you first run the PC version 6, it changed a bunch of modified dates to ‘todays’ date on old records, which then synced to the phone and overwrote the newer data. Had to restore phone and PC with the backup, then everything worked fine after that.

Remember just one password!. I have been using this app for several version updates. Never had a crash, never had a problem, other than my memory, getting to my very securely kept passwords. Not fussy about the subscription model but that is the way software seems to be headed. Just keep it affordable (cheap, I mean)!

Spousal sharing. I love the features of Pro, but it does not allow me to share my vault with my wife. I am not prepared to buy a second licence for spousal sharing. Please come up with a solution … maybe the second licence within the family at a nominal amount ?

Been using this for years. This password manager is worth every penny, works like a hot damn, and I am glad I own it.

Warning!. You have to pay to restore your passwords from a backup. My iPhone crashed and I had to start from scratch and this app would not let me restore unless I paid them. Now you’re warned find a new app that doesn’t hijack your info.

Use it regularly. Hi all, Well I used version 4, 5 and now 6. Everything thankfully has worked. I stand corrected. The symbol password setting is a bit different than I expected. Yet works as expected. Perfectly.

Facial recognition was included before. Now you have to pay for this basic function that they decided is now premium, will be deleting soon.

Not offering what it say anymore. Why did you get rid of facial recognition and Touch ID?! Why give an app a facelift and force people to pay them not offer the features you say you offer. Used this app for years now I’m looking for another that keeps up with the times. Password only access is prehistoric. Thought we were trying to improve things. Gave the old app five stars. This one would’ve gotten 5 as well but we seem to be moving backwards now

Good app, but…. Strongly disagree with the new subscription based revenue stream … and the side-stepping response from the devs that the Essentials level could eventually be a subscription too.

App doesn’t work anymore and support your is not responding. Warning!!! Do not buy this app or any of their subscriptions in version 6. The app is no longer working and support is not responding to any support requests. They’ll be taking your money and leave you in the dark.

Great app. Tried many password manager programs and this one is a perfect fit for me. Great app and excellent product support

Constant Nags to Upgrade. If you like pop ups each time you open the app, the this is the app for you.

Great App. Does what it’s designed to do and does it flawlessly.

Awesome. I’ve been using this program now for years, I just use a free version. I really should update to the pay version because it has a few more features I would like. I find it very handy, and very easy to change my passwords in my notes in the file, and everything is always at hand. All my passwords are different, so this becomes very useful in this program.

Great password app. Been using this app so long that I had to upgrade to the latest version 5 as 4 will no longer be supported with new iOS update. That long! So ya… won’t be switching anytime soon! 😎👍

Migration issues. I downloaded the new v5 but when I migrated my data from v4, it did not migrate all the photos over. So that makes v5 useless for me since many of those photos are essential info and it would be a lot of work to retake the photos. Will not be using v5 unless they fix this.

Nagging Prompts To Upgrade To Premium. I’m currently on the “Essentials” “tier” and since some time I’m getting a very annoying prompt to upgrade to “Premium” every single time I open the app! Every. Single. Time. And every single time I dismiss the prompt for it to appear again! Every! Single! Time! There is a very good reason why I’m on the “Essentials” “tier” - I don’t need any of the “features” that are on the “Premium” “tier”, and I believe that the “Essentials” “tier” exists for that exact reason - not everyone has use of the “advanced” “features”. One other “feature” I, and everyone else on the “Essentials” “tier” clearly doesn’t need is the nagging prompt to upgrade to whatever-it-is-being-offered. One time “advertisement” of the “better” “tier” is, kind of, OK, but displaying it every single time the app is opened is annoying to say the least! The only upgrade will be to another password management app! Please turn off this “feature” or I’ll be forced to take my business elsewhere! Anyone else I recommended mSecure to, also!

Horrible, do not upgrade. I upgrade from version 4 to this one and the pictures in my notes are all gone. Not showing at all and even been deleted from my original version 4. I had screenshots from some handwritten passwords and they all gone. Developer rushed into subscription version update without making the migration properly. It’s money grab with a major bug in their software. I moved to Norton and it not only better but also it’s free.

Good app but asks for reviews incessantly. Please stop ask8ng me to rate and review the app. I have better things to do than endlessly click “not now” on the annoying pop ups,

Highly recommend this. Not sure what I would do without this app; works great (I have the free version), I can only imagine the full version would be even better; they have some very good sale prices; I’m not sure if I’m going to stay with the iPhone tho

Password protection. Good app except purchases the app to get a few more features and most importantly the Touch ID to get in rather than have to type in password and now I have to do both. Frustrating.

Amazing app!. One of the best app I ever downloaded. So useful in a world where you have 200 passwords to remember. I installed it many years ago and I use this app ever single day many times a day! You can also synch it with your computers. Highly recommend!

Sad News. People who paid a lot for this app in the past will now have to subscribe in order to get new features exclusively available as a monthly or yearly subscription. I am totally disgusted at the lack of ethic and ingratitude of these developers.

Can’t live without!. Super helpful. Keep me organized and all passwords in one place. Easy and accessible to store all my passwords. Thank you!

Support for the app is horrible. They billed me for going premium and then nothing updated. I tried submitting a ticket and got a computer response which had a link that was not active. This has left me no other means of contacting a live person.

Love the app, but has a minor glitch with credit card template. I’ve been using the app for many years now (since when it was free). Trustworthy and great UI. I did notice a bug in v5 and v6, where the credit card template has a glitch where the “Type” field is asking for CC number, “Card No” field asking for expiration date, “Expiration Date” is a text field and so on. Please fix

A great place that is easy to use for all password and secure logins. I’ve used mSecure from its inception and have had absolutely zero issues with the program. It works exceptionally well and has been incredibly easy to use.

You have my full support. Let’s just say that I will not use a platform that doesn’t offer this app. Very happy with the support I got from the developer and how good this app is.

Excellent app. This updated app is easier to find your cards. Very nice

Plz fix face id bug it does not work anymore. Before everything was working fine by that i mean i was able to login with face id but if the app is running in the background or if you minimize and open again face id didn’t work you had to put password or you could close the app and open it again that way face id workedi but since last 2 updates i cannot use face id to open the app when i click on the app face id automatically reads my face but when its completed nothing happens even if i click on the face id icon it again reads but still i have to put password to actually get into the app please fix this app is great very handy.

Real Mess: Unable to open msecure file. I have been using msecure for many years with positive experience. I have just upgraded OS to IOS 14.6. All of sudden, I am not able to open my msecure file. It has creat real mess for me. Msecure app (original one) has not been upgraded for new version of iOS (14.6). All of sudden I am staring against a wall, unable to do anything. What do I need to do now? Will original msecure app be available on IOS 14.6? Or do I need to upgrade to new version of msecure- which is msecure 5? I am wondering will it be able to open the file. I need urgent help So far, support from msecure team has been very very frustrating and poor. I want to just make sure to recover my data file with new msecure installed trial version. Only then I will go ahead to upgrade. Otherwise I will discard this app for ever

Be careful trusting this application. They hold your passwords ransom during upgrade cycles. If you don’t pay, you lose all your passwords. Extortion. Be careful trusting this application. These other reviews are too fluffy, and… obviously fake. Try a different password saver.

The best password manager. Great app, I’ve been using it since version 2 it syncs across devices, it has a very fair price, no hidden charges, no subscriptions, works seamlesly, generate passwords, you can sync your vault using icloud, dropbox, their own cloud storage (for free), etc. It has all the features of 1Password but without the subscription fees. I love it!

HANDS DOWN the ONLY PASSWORD app you will ever need. Only have to remember 1 password and keeps all the others safe. Have used this for years. Keep up the great work, team 👍🏼

Be carefull. If you are still using old app, do not switch to iOS 17. As soon as you switch, the old app stops working and you have to pay for whatever used to be free.

Great program. Been using it for over 5 years, always works, never any problems. Very happy, with the ease and sharing between devices

Watch out. Watchout if you Upgrade from V5 Pro to the new V6 it may disable V4 ( i had the 2 working perfectly on IOS 15.6.1 on iPhone 12.Just lost 1 more star since i wrote this review due to that they disable V4 ) Clicking to go to the App.Store didn’t work so i did delete V5 re-Started my phone and V4 was not working re-installed V5 and magically V4 work again ( what a coincidence ). They do their best and it work for 98% of the user .I have been using both V4 and V5 MSecure for many years and did recommended it to a lots of user as this is a must App. for modern smartphone user. Now they have change their business to a subscription service except if you have bought the Version 5 Pro at one time ,they force you to Upgrade to V6 essential and say this is the simplest way for everyone like all the others App. seller In the App.Store . They force you to Upgrade because there an annoying message in V5 that comes on too often that say you are using an older version go to the App. Store to Upgrade( why can’t you make it less intrusive like the warning that I got in the V4 version I got the message ). I may Upgrade if I am not to annoyed or lost confidence and that the bugs are iron-out of the New Version 6 witch some user are experiencing . I Still used V4 because it records the date of the latest modifications you make to the record ( this is important because you know when the password was last valid or change other password Manager has this feature V 5-6 not anymore )V4 is a backup for the present V6 because I accidentally upgraded to V6 while changing setting in my phone , i also used V6 but find it not ( has nice practical )Keep up the good work get 1 star back because V6 work and they did answer Thank’s Answer from the support group is respectable because they try to help user/me if I described the issue that I am experiencing. Msecure and user have to cope with the App. Store way of thing and as such it is difficult sometimes for both parties. We cannot revert back if it doesn’t work. They say they did not ( include a mechanism ) to disable Msecure V4 since they did not update the App. for many years . Maybe but than how come i did received while using V4 that there was a ( new version ) and that message do not pop-up all the Time . Now I used V4 as a backup ( for important password and note ) that i have to keep secure , but i understand that this is at my own risk , but I do not find it more risky then relying on a new version. Now i waited before upgrading to V6 when I was using V5 but I was very disappointed that I had to cope to the very annoying ( your app. is obsolete go upgrade to the App.Store ) all the Time . I am a very happy IT support person and love this Password Manager and still recommend it but i/ IT support do not like when a company / software is made to annoyed their user in the pretense of their good to push them to get the Latest version , we prefer stability. Thank you

Great…another subscription. Been using Msecure for years, and love it. My data has been carefully organized into groups for easy access. Now with the upgrade, groups are discontinued and all my files are a big mess again. No problem, I will invest time and create tags. But wait…you need to pay to have the privilege of using tags as it’s under the Premium tier. Really? I would have been happy using the charity Essentials tier, but this is a dealbreaker. Time to evaluate other solutions.

Best Chirporactor !. I have been going to Dr Norm and appreciate his knowledge and care ! His experience shows every time I go for an adjustment and If I have questions about different issues. He's great!

Excellent. Excellent. Highly recommand.

Crashes constantly. Ever since the latest version, I can no longer even use the app. As soon as I enter the app, it crashes. I’ve used mSecure since version 4 and always found it to be reliable and my most useful app. Upgrading to version 5 started syncing and backup problems for me and now version 6 is unusable.

Disappointed to have to pay again. I purchased the app many years ago and while I understand the need to generate new revenues continuously, I am having to pay again to use previous features that were included in my app. Other than that, app is solid but will probably need to find an alternative to avoid paying high monthly / annual fees.

Never fails, easy to use, trusted. I’m not sure how long I have been using mSecure, but it is a years. It has never failed me. I use it and trust it with all the stuff I want to keep secure, all the stuff I need to remember, and all the stuff I need to have with me all the time. It syncs seamlessly between my Mac, iPad, and iPhone. I really like the new “tags” feature. Even though it costs a bit, I applaud moving to a subscription system because it will give this company the funds it needs to stay around and keep supporting their product.

Great tool; all my important info in one secure place!. I really like this app. It allows me to store all my passwords and important information all in one secure place. The feature that allows me to add photos is very useful as well. I have added images of my credit cards, drivers license, passport, etc into the app in case my wallet is stolen. The fact that all of our devices update regardless of who inputs the changes helps us keep our info up-to-date. I can’t think of something I need it to do that it doesn’t do.

Disastrously unreliable. I’ve used mSecure for years with no problems. Until now. Suddenly and without warning I find a can’t access my data. They are so very secure that it’s IMPOSSIBLE to access your data if your password is lost. Facial recognition was very convenient … and the kiss of death. No warning from mSecure that I won’t be able to access my data on my devise after some date. Just the notice that it is now no longer available because they chose not to upgrade my version of their app to work with the next version of iOS. Years of usernames and passwords are locked away in a vault more secure than Ft. Knox. It appears my wife who keeps her data on paper was the wise one.

MSecure- Best password manager on the market. Moved to mSecure from SplashID about ten years ago. Essential app for anyone online. Don’t understand why companies think they can sell a subscription for a password manager. Just corrupt. MSecure is no nonsense one time cost and well worth it. Finally upgraded to version 5. They did a good job of updating the product. Use it in iOS and macOS no problems. Use it every week. If you do have an issue, they’re super responsive. They must not sleep. ;-)

Help desk stinks. My phone died. I had to get a new one and I simply can’t get back into the application. I use the email and password it should be. Will not work. I try to walk through the steps and it is a constant click here to go to this article or click here to open a ticket. I opened a ticket 5 hours ago. Nothing. I need the information in the application. What good is this service if there is no way to get back in when life happens? I get security. I do. Ask me all the questions you want to verify me. Call me. Do something. Annoying. I work with doctors all the time and suggest this app. I won’t be doing that again.

Horrible new interface. The new interface is awful. I liked being able to browse through my Groups from one screen. Now I have to go to a side screen, pick a Tab, and put up with the records being grouped by the sorting criteria. When I want to look at another Group I have to go back to the side screen, clear the previous Tag, pick the new Tag, and go to the other screen to put up with the records again grouped by the sorting criteria. I absolutely hate it. Wish I hadn’t downloaded the new version. You have RUINED a perfectly good app. I’m definitely not subscribing to this new trashed interface. I WANT THE OLD INTERFACE BACK!!! YOU NEED TO PROVIDE A WAY TO GO BACK TO THE 5XX INTERFACE FOR THOSE OF US THAT WANT TO GO BACK TO USING GROUPS INSTEAD OF THE NEW PATHETIC TAGS.

Still a good app, but upgrading from mSecure 4 can be a Challenge…. Been using version 4 for many years and was always very satisfied. Now that I paid the $30 to upgrade, I had a difficult time in getting this app to synch with other devices. For about a day, it would not synch, no matter what I did. Finally, while waiting a couple of days for their tech support to respond to me, the app suddenly fixed itself and synched all my devices. Oh well. 4 out of 5 stars for that. Otherwise, this version’s features are a nice improvement over the previous version.

Easy, User Friendly, Intuitive. Love this. Upgraded to pro a few years ago and it’s a life saver. Two suggestions: 1) With longer pw reqs for things these days, having an option for MSecure to make a password of some number of real words strung together. Much easier to type and remember. eWallet does this. 2) When in a record, adding a new field, example “User Name”: you have to type in the title User Name, even though you’ve already chosen User Name as the title you want. And it looks like it’s typed in for you. Confusing! Thanks!

The Best. I have been using mSecure for about 10 years. I remember I thought I would test this app out, thinking that I can always switch. I have not found a reason to switch. The App does everything I need and a lot more that I don’t use. The support has been pretty good too. I have had to ask for support via email on less than a handful of occasions. Got help each time, although the last response was very slow. Happy to see they are still here and planning for the future.

Outstanding. As a long-time user of this app, I was glad to see the updated versions for both the iPhone and desktop. Important new features include facial recognition, automatic website log-ins, and iCloud syncing, all of which work very smoothly. Previous versions and associated data were recognized and imported with no difficulties. Tech-support has also been strong. I also appreciate that long-term use of the app requires only a single purchase, with no subscription fees. Anyone looking for an easy to use and affordable password manager should consider mSecure.

Lovely and solid. Couple things... The app is very good and I’ve used it for years keeping up with a lot of logins and so forth. I like the window that pops up to login when you touch the URL value and then it transfers login and password information. Very handy. The window needs to be able to be resized. And if you task switch away from that window it just goes away and you have to start over. Aside from this it’s a wonderful app iPad iPhone and Mac..

Terrible Update. I’ve been using mSecure since version 3. Versions 3 and 4 were simple— 5 and 6 are nightmares. First, every update is an utter debacle in execution. You will lose records, message back and forth with uncaring support reps (looking at you, Mike), and spend more time fixing records than adding new ones. As for version 6, they killed groups in favor of tags (which seems to be a subscription model feature now), even though they serve the same purpose. I’m sure they’ll argue that tags can be changed at any time, whereas groups could not (despite it being an OBVIOUS failure of implementation)— and now they want you to pay for it. So if all your clients are sorted into groups, say g’bye! Because they’re lost now— have fun sorting though all those logins to find the right one. Also, have fun staring at that call to action on desktop versions (bet you feel silly for paying for the app now, I certainly do). Then there’s vaults, which as far as I can tell don’t do anything, because they’re all marked as private. So what’s the deal mSecure— are we paying for groups now in the form of tags? Have you completely jumped the shark?

Excellent software. I have used mSecure for 4 or 5 years, starting with version 4 and now version 5. It is easy to use, I have it synced across multiple devices and in iOS and Windows. I would recommend this software to anyone with more than 3 or 4 different passwords. I also have pictures of my valuables, serial numbers, passport pics and details. Easy to use and understand. My wife does not want to have difficulties with software and she brags on this as well as uses it regularly. I hope version 6 is just as good or better.

No way to retrieve your data if you forget your password. There is absolutely no way to retrieve your data if you forget your password. Even if you have saved the special encryption page or if you have supposed done a back up. Your back ups will not have your information. This ya a very bad, very frustrating and big fault in this application. I am not happy about this at all. I lost all my data when I changed my password. It was horrible to try to retrieve anything. You will never get your data bs k unless you remember your password.

Since yesterday it just crashes; won’t open!. Since yesterday, it won’t open at all and only crashes when I try to access the app. I tried logging in manually and it crashed. I tried logging in with my thumbprint and it crashed. Thank God I had a back up on my iPad. If this was like only device that I had the App on, I would be completely screwed. I depend on this app on an almost daily basis.I’m on the latest version of the app as well, I don’t understand what’s going on.

Fantastic version, flawless data migration. I am a very long time user of mSecure and have used version 4 for many years. I held off jumping to version 5 for a long time. With the news that version 4 would understandably no longer be supported I decided to make the jump. The new UI is great and a huge improvement over the previous edition. Migration worked flawlessly thanks to the warning NOT to do it on the Mac, but on the iPhone first. Then the Mac syncs up and all is good. It’s great to have it on all my devices: MacBook, pc and iphone. I give mSecure a huge thumbs up!

No longer syncs. They’re riding on their history. I have been a happy mSecure user for many years. Something has changed here. For years it just hummed along, working very well. Then release 5 came out, for which there was a mandatory big price tag even for long-time users. But that was basically ok with me, even though there was no new functionality for me, because I want App writers to live. So fine. Now, my iOS version of mSecure has stopped syncing. It hasn’t synced automatically in weeks and I can’t sync it manually either. So I googled the problem and I discovered some links to mSecure official support that are useless. I also discovered a bunch of links to the problem on the mSecure forum. But, and this is the HUGE red flag, all those links are now dead. So, in short, this app, which used to be so wonderful, has in short order, * forced users to pay for it, again * stopped maintaining THE essential functionality (sync) * erased discussions on the topic on their forums. I am now looking for a new sync App. This one is owned by what has become a VERY dodgy outfit.

Contact information. I’m having issues with MSecure5 as I just upgraded to the new IOS. I submitted a ticket days ago and no one has responded yet. I have no way to use MSecure right now. I wish there was a PHONE NUMBER for support. 2 stars for customer support. UPDATE; I reset MSecure5 password as I still had the old MSecure version on my iPhone. This made a new account and allowed me to transfer all MSecure data. I just was afraid at first to do this. However, it made sense as I had never transferred my old MSecure data. I simply made a password for MSecure 5 a year ago, never used it and then forgot the password. All is well.

Was secure, flexible, and reliable.. The app has changed when going from a lifetime license to an annual subscription in V6(?) The app (was) a real time saver and sync(ed) well across all my devices. I could add many additional fields of info for each login and password. I recommended a lifetime license(no longer available) - to keep track of accounts on the cloud. Note: I have tried many password apps and this one, mSecure was outstanding, but not anymore. As of April 2022, when essentials were added to the app, it has become more complicated, unreliable, with syncing issues and Now I am looking for a better app.

Most important App I have. In this day and age when passwords are a nightmare I have never ever had a better system for protecting my passwords then using msecure. My son Is a UC Berkeley graduate in computer science , business and film and made me download it years ago as my memory was slipping. I wish more people knew about it. It has saved me so many times. It is so efficient and easy to access and the backup system works seamlessly. Thank you so much

Awesome. I have used this system now for more than 5 years and it is installed on all my devices (5). It has never failed, it has always updated amongst them immediately, it’s perfect. With the latest addition I can even log in my sites and it will show a pop up (on my pads and iPhone) with a secure entry, either finger print our typed log in and enter the password etc info automatically. I have and manage over 200 passwords and critical information perfectly safe. Can highly recommend it, it’s worth every penny!

My Backup Brain. I’ve been using mSecure for about 6 years. It’s saved me many times from getting locked out of banking & other sites by entering the wrong password too many times. With the new “strong” suggested passwords, I’ve got to have somewhere to keep passwords that are impossible to remember. There are some fine tuning things I’d like to see added, but so far, just about the time I start a message to suggest a change, they come out with an update that addresses my issue. Do yourself a favor & give this app a try.

DON'T get this!! PREDATORY!!. This app started out as a $20 one time purchase. Used it for years. One day I couldn't access most of the features. Turns out they changed to a subscription model and simply removed most features (which I had already bought) from the app. Did I get a notification? Heads up? NOPE. Just removal of access to certain components of this app. The other day I tried to use FaceID to log in and even that has been removed because I had bought the app but AM NOT GIVING THEM MORE MONEY. Create reliance on a product, then remove components and sell them back to the customer for an increased price... How pathetic and greedy. DO NOT BUY THIS APP. The developers DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR SECURITY. They care about YOUR MONEY. Do not get this app and certainly DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS SERVICE!!! It is a SCAM!

Data Held For Ransom. I bought and paid for an mSecure years ago. It used to do everything. Now any button I press asks me to upgrade to a monthly subscription. I never used the desktop version, just the iPhone version. The iPhone app backs up to iCloud, and I downloaded the backups to my desktop. They are encrypted and can only be opened by the desktop app. So I installed the desktop app, but you cannot restore the backup without paying! So there is no way to get my data off the phone without paying! BACKUP, RESTORE, IMPORT, and EXPORT are all locked behind a subscription. I understand that my purchase many years ago is not longer sustaining this company, but to remove all features and lockdown my data is immoral.

New UI great improvement but!. iPhone iPad iOS app huge improvement but OS still needs work. For instance to search on a record with key words returns nothing!! I have to Tag group etc to find a record that’s a pain especially when you are standing in line trying to find pin for debit card. I do not like subscription models. But mSecure subscription payments are affordable. Also I like them to keep improving ie interface with Apple key chain etc. Lots useless features

Long Time User - App Update Glitch. I have used mSecure for several years and it has been a great App. However, my iPhone X was forced into upgrading to mSecure 5 without my approval and without warning. Imagine my surprise when I opened the App and ALL MY PASSWORDS AND SECURE INFORMATION WAS WIPED OUT!!! mSecure says this isn’t possible, but indeed, it did happen (only on my iPhone, not on my iPad) - I think it was a glitch in the App Store automatic update system, but is something the developer needs to recognize as possible. Three stars for the new UI which I think is a step backwards from the previous one. One extra star for the ability to re-download version 4 and recover all my data.

Changed My Life. Seriously, I was the biggest skeptic of doing this but after episodes of frustration looking for passwords my wife finally convinced me to do it. It takes some time to set up all your passwords, not because the app is hard, but because you’ll have to find them LOL - but once you do, this will change your life and remove the fear of someone asking you “Do you know your Apple password?” This one is a must!!

Love the app. Hate the upgrade and customer service. I’ve used this app for 4 years. I just paid to upgrade to latest version and it didn’t bring everything over. I had a backup and tried to restore. It said it worked but it didn’t. I’ve reached out to customer service and I’m still waiting. Over a week for a response. Very unhappy It was not stuck in my spam filter. It just took a week to follow up. However once you did the problem was solved.

The best secure password app. I have have this app for the last 5 years. Help cancel all my credit card when my wallet got stolen. I have over 200 different passwords from stocks acct banks account web insurance info and all 6 of my work sign in. Been a life saver since I have photos of passport and driver license. Got free TV under warranty since I log the receipt and tv information on app. If you don’t have this keep on pushing I forget password unless you don’t have email at the time. Thanks.

Will not be using!. I have been using mSecure v4 since it launched and PAID for the full version of it. I’ve been using is flawlessly since then. Now I receive a message the v4 is no longer supported and cannot not be guaranteed for future iOS releases. I downloaded the new app and UI is clean. However, I immediately noticed that it’ll only work with the same features that I used in v4 for years for 30 days and then I have to pay $30 to get the full version. If this was an “UPGRADE” as the notification says, it should truly be just that, an upgrade. So the issue that I have isn’t with the app itself but with its developers. If you want to charge money that’s fine, but don’t forget your customers that already paid for your app once and helped get you to where you are today.

Lost all my data. I have been using the free version of this app for the better part of 10 years now, and since I got my iPhone 11 the old app crashes whenever I try to open it. I have no way of retrieving my passwords. The app won’t even open on my old iPhone 7 Plus. I used to use WiFi backups to my computer on the mBackup software, and I have no way of getting that data back on my phone because the app will not open. They have not provided a way to get data from the old app backups to the new app. And I am not going to pay for the pro version to find out if I can get my data from my old backups, just to find out that I cannot. I just want my data back. Color me an unsatisfied customer.

Ignore the bad reviews. I have been using mSecure for about 4 years and have always been extremely happy with it. The key differentiator for me is that it has a windows desktop app available which is helpful because I tend to online shop on my PC. When this new version came out I jumped on the preorder, but hesitated to upgrade it due to all the bad reviews. I made the jump and am very happy. They did a nice job with this new version. It has a more appealing user interface, and the data integration between the phone and desktop app is now seamless. Well done!

Beautiful app. I’ve been using mSecure almost from its beginning, and have always loved it, primarily because of its functionality. But mSecure 5 is beyond functional. It’s also beautiful. Something about the design... the experience... I can’t really describe it. It’s intuitive and simple, but extremely rich. All I can say is that I’m happy and will never need any other password manager. Ever. Thanks, mSeven. You nailed it. UPDATE: I forgot to mention that I have the iOS app on two mobile devices and the desktop version on two MacBooks, and syncing is instant and seamless. I’m never without my passwords, IDs, banking info, and credit cards.

Great design for saving passwords. MSecure works very well at saving all my password info and I’ve used it for several years now, I think since version 3. Version 5 is a great improvement in functionality and visual design in my opinion. It has customizable icons. The data fields within each preset category are fully customizable to suit my specific preferences and needs. Also I use their mSecure apps across my Macs and iPhone and am able to sync them quite simply across my in home wi-fi network. I looked into all options for password apps and mSecure hits the sweet spot for me.

Wonderful & Safe PW Mgmt Service. I’ve used a LastPass, KeyPass, and others, but have found this MSecure system to work best for me because I prefer to keep my passwords local. I do understand the encryption at rest and in transit concepts, but I still prefer that my passwords remain only on my physical devices. MSecure allows me to easily keep my phone, tablet, and computer sync’d so I have all my passwords anywhere I am without having them stored in a cloud. I’ve used MSecure for about 6+ years with no issues... highly recommended.

Love the app hate to pay over and over. I have been using mSecure since 2010 and love it. It is the best thing about my iPhone and use it daily. I upgraded to 5 right away and was happy to pay the price, because I thought it was worth it. A few months later they tell me my trial is over and I have to pay another 29$ to get all the original functionality back. Not that happy anymore. 20$ for an update then a few months later 30$ more because my trial is over. YOU NEED TO FIX THIS!

Not as useful as it was. When asked by a third party app for a password you use to be able to open mSecure and your password would show up, if it didn’t you could search by type or alphabetically. Now they tell me I have to have an url or something. So I use apple’s password system. Other than that I have to open the app search for the password then copy, then go back to the site requesting the password and paste it. Way too much work!

Terrible support and lost all my data. I used this app until version 4. I made an attempt to update to version 5 and three things happened 1) the update or email sync from version 4 was blank for last 3 updates - no passwords included 2) when I updated my phone the old app came over - EMPTY! 3) the new app (version 5) required a new type of authentication but no linkage to the v4 data set. In short I lost 3 months of updates to passwords. I had to start over and if a system is supposed to be a vault for secure storage then it should do that - be secure and stable - this app has been less stable over time (as the backups have proven unreliable). It’s also important to note that before writing this review I submitted 2 tickets over the past 24 hours and neither have been responded to.

Great app, but pushes pro for basic features. I have been using this app for a couple of years now and it has been a stress-free way to manage all of my passwords. I couldn’t recommend it more. My only annoyance with this app is that I had been using it on my iPhone 6 where I could log in very easily with the finger print ID. Now that I have a 10, I have to purchase the pro account in order to use Face ID recognition to open the app if i don’t want to type my very secure, very long password. It’s a great app, I am just slightly annoyed that I am forced to purchase the pro account to keep it as easy to use as before.

Broke on iOS update. Insecure broke on an iOS update. This was version four. There is no way to get to the data on my device now which is crucial as one might imagine. I purchased insecure five installed it on my laptop and logged in restore the data everything looked good but login fails using insecure five on my iOS device still. There are support articles ramble on about the complexities involved but nothing helps in my situation it should be as simple as login on your laptop if that works then those same credentials should work or I expect them to work on the newly download it and msecure five. I have a pro account and purchased the full product. This is an excusable you cannot rely on this tool.

Better than the rest. I tried a few competitors, including the subscription based ones. Non worked as well as mSecure. While this does not work with every site or app I try to log in to directly, it does work with the huge majority, and it keeps up with my passwords more securely than the notes program I was using. When it does not log in directly, it allows me to cut and paste from the list. At the price, the support I’ve seen, and the active updates from the developers, I am happy to give it five stars.

Lacking in customer service, had enough!. I have used this app for over four years and recently noticed I was no longer able to login using the facial recognition on my iPhone. I contacted customer support and was painstakingly asked one question every day as an assessment of my problem after I clearly indicated all the needed information in my original email. After eleven days of emails I decided to just delete the app and reinstall to see if it would fix the problem. It has not. The software for this app has not been updated for a year even though phone software probably had ten updates. I am now wondering how secure my information really is and will begin the process of finding a more reliable app.

Missing customized Template fields with V6. I have used mSecure since 2010, V2?. I now have V6 Essentials - per mSecure, it should include everything in V5 (Pro). I have over 1000 records. I customize my templates. In V5 (and previous versions), when I customized a template, then opened a record to edit, every record included the template field changes. With V6, the number of available fields varies with records. For example: I customized the “Equipment” template - there are 24 fields in my “Equipment” template. If I create a new record, all 24 fields are available. But, If I select an existing record, only the current populated fields (in the selected record) are available. My full custom template is unavailable. In V5 all fields were available. This is a major problem with V6.

Scam alert. There seems no way to get help from these people. They sent an email about a discount, which is not available in the app. I can’t login to the website and there is no way to change my password without logging in. When I attempted to submit a ticket, the “captcha” box gave me a green check yet refused the submission due to captcha failure. There seems to be no other way to contact them. At best mSecure is inept and doesn’t thoroughly check their software. At worst the just want your money and are just scamming you. Avoid this package. Great ideas but poor execution. Guys you have to quit adding features until you can validate that it works with thorough testing. Hire some SDETs.

Used to be a great password manager. I used to recommend this app to anyone and everyone that needed a password manager. It’s unfortunate that I’m unable to recommend this app any longer. The developers JUST upgraded to v5 and I paid for a pro license. Today I updated and they changed their model to be subscription based and forced me into a paid subscription trial. They way they went about doing so was poorly communicated and provided zero options for the long time users who paid for an upgrade less than a year ago. On top of the poor roll out, the UI has changed significantly and deviated from the clean, sleek and simple interface that I became accustomed to. The UI is cluttered, has functions visible that cannot be hidden from the main view. They rolled out ‘vaults’ which is a laughable attempt to mimic 1Password in an attempt to ride on their success. I’ll soon be migrating my data away from mSecure and sadly will delete the app from my devices. It’s been a good ride, but all good things must come to an end.

What I’ve been looking for. I had a prior password app that I really liked but the icons never appeared half the time and it bugged me so much that it didn’t look uniform. This app is everything I needed PLUS it allows you to upload your own icons for each entry if it isn’t found automatically by the app, which is exactly what I wanted so it all looks uniform. Plus it sorts it in alphabetical order which is also a plus. I highly recommend this app and the one time price may seem a little pricy but it’s such a good deal in the long run as others require a monthly subscription.

No Subscription. I fully understand app makers want to be paid for their work and I 100% support that (Lord knows my checkbook knows it). So mSecure at this time does not do a subscription. Absolutely the reason I use it. It’s sleek, fast and gets the job done. Syncs across all my devices and is simple to use. From passwords for webpages to credit cards and a host of other sensitive information, all can be kept right in one app that easy to use. AND DID I MENTION THAT IS DOESN’T HAVE A SUBSCRIPTION! Thanks for a great app. Got it on all my devices, iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Good app gone bad. I have used this app for years. I paid a something like $15 back in the day. Since that time I’ve been doing email backups and Touch ID to access the app for years. All of a sudden they try to force me to upgrade and take away features I had already paid for. I contacted customer service and was told that there is no way I had been using those features for free and that I would t lose anything I had. Well, I had been using them and I did lose them. Very disappointing. I will never purchase or subscribe to this rip off company. They sell you something and then come back later and make you pay monthly for the thing you already bough. It’s good ‘ol fashioned theft.

Great App ideas. I am a former user of MSecure before the major upgrade . I give the developers a 5 stars to the old version app , for the new version I must say it has great features but we have to give the developers time to hear from the en users and I'm confident they will add and enhance the newer version to meet the users expectations ... this is what developing is all about ..I'm not. Developer but do understand what goes behind the curtain . Therefore for the new app I give 5 stars because it is taking a very good shape with fixes .. keep up the good work ..!

Another “bait and switch” app.. Another app that plays the “bait and switch” game. In other words, they come up with a “new and improved” app, instead of keeping and developing the older version. Sooner or later the old app will be discontinued to forced people to switch to the new app. A way for making more money. And more money is want they want. Now they want you sign up with them. For what? Even if I did I’m still going to keep using the iCloud to keel the data. Here is what I suspect, even if the developers denies it, the sell of e-mail lists by websites generate a lot of money. I know this because I know people own websites. There is no need to have people sign up with them. Regardless of what they say. I can guarantee you that it’s all about money. There was nothing wrong with the old app.
