Amazing Game but...... First of all this is an amazing game with all of its missions and features, I would also like to mention the awesome port with this game. It's just that a mission with JD has a problem with it. The mission "Calm before the storm" always seems to crash whenever a helicopter lands limiting us to missions for a while. I also notice that this is happening to everyone, not just me. I will give this game a four star rating and once the crash is fixed it will be a definite five star.

THIS HAS TO BE A PS4 GAME!!! NO BS!!!. Ima be honest I’ve played all the grand theft autos on computer psp ps3 Nd ps4 and the only real reason I’m actually impressed with this game is because of the graphics hands down idk how they did this updated but I feel like the graphics are better then ps3 and when I’m playing This game I literally feel like I’m playing a ps4 so I wana thank thank rockstar company for supporting real life rockstars with great games like this and I do pray in the future your guys release another rockstar bundle which would have the rest of the grand theft auto games such as vice city stories if not I’m hoping that there will be some kind of crazy awesome update that will ad grand theft auto vice city stories on to this bundle

Would love to see an M1 Mac support for this. Almost all other Rockstar games are available to play on the M1 Macs (with a controller of course) expect for this one for whatever reason. Even Chinatown Wars is available and that game wasn’t near as popular as this one. Rockstar, please just give it a quick update and unlock support for those computers. I would love to play this on the big screen like the other ones!

Better Than Grand Theft Auto 3. I say it's better Than Grand Theft Auto 3 because tony Cipriani's story is better and he's the better character as well as being about the crime families themselves rather than a drifter trying to become a made man, there's more action, more blood, more gore, more highlights, more grit, and it has plenty of dry humor since it's based off goodfellas. it's a fun game, buy it now :), except for kids though, the series is strictly for the 17 and older gamers.

A Great Substitution for a Real Driver. I am not a, Gamer, by any means. The last and only time I ever owned a Game Center was when Nintendo came out. And once I became bored with its function, I stopped playing and never went back. Until now. But with only this/these game(s). All the GTA’s have fulfilled a hole in me since this global shutdown, I have not been able to drive, which I did as for employment. I have gotten every GTA game out there played on my iPad Pro. There are some issues I have, but not bad enough to complain about. I do not recommend this game to anyone who has traffic rage. All I have to say is I’m am so happy I have a screen protector because of the times I found myself punching the iPad. Twice so far. Cracked the protector twice too. NOT THE BEST GAME TO PLAY IF YOU HAVE TRAFIC RAGE. JUST SAYING. BUT OOOHHHH SO FUN! I really look forward to the next chapter in this series from Rockstar Games. I would really like to have GTA 5 for the iPad. I thank you all who created such entertainment! It has helped so much through this World changing time. Keep them coming and I’ll keep on buying. Ok what the freak when that social club shows up it takes along time to skip and the game it's pretty laggy but I'm really looking forward an other update that can fix this issue because I know it's a small thing but I really would like it fixed soon as y'all possibly can But in leaving 5 stars because this was one of my childhood games on psp and y'all should know how much this game means to me so please fix this issue in begging y'all

4/5 great game play. The only missing star is the fact that this game is the same price as san andreas. There are some major differences between the two games. San Andreas had better mission movies and story line, longer cinemas, the ability to lock on to headshots at close range, the skills stat sheet that showed weapon skill and sex appeal, WEAPON OPTIONS... alot can be seen and felt in the ammunation... this one is gta3 style ... san andreas speaks for its self. The app is great it gets a 5/5 the game gets a 2.5/5. Very very similar to gta 3 so far, i am early i the game still but friggen A i shudda bought vice city. Plan is to burn through this dud and get vice city.

Calm before the Crash. Like others the game won't go past "the calm before the storm" mission. I've tried skipping the cut scenes a dozen times on iPad and the iPhone SE. Otherwise this game would be five stars. If they ever fix it I'll rate it higher. Such a shame because the game is excellent but most of it cannot be played [EDIT: after about 40 tries I was able to skip the cut scenes- the trick is not spamming on the skip arrow too quick. Give the cut scene half a beat to load before hitting skip]

Warn!!Been Broken for Years Now!!. I bought this game a few years ago. It crashed on the mission calm before the storm preventing me from getting anywhere past the first few missions. I deleted it and hoped rockstar would fix the issue. It's been over a year and a half and it is still broken. It is pointless to buy this game unless you only want to play the first 10% of the missions. It baffles me that a big game company like rockstar still hasn't fixed this major issue after having years to do so. I play the game on a iphone6 plus so it's not my phone that is the problem. Be warned if you buy this game don't expect it to work.

Great Port from PSP! Looks Amazing!. I remember having this game on my PSP back when they first came out. It was the first game I ever had for it. It looks even better on my iPhone 7. I really don't remember the game looking this good on my PSP back in the day. It looks reeeeallly good now on here. To me, this one is better than the original GTA 3. The mission are better, the graphics look good, and the characters are more likable. There's more side stuff you can do like be a care salesmen to make some extra money on the side. You can also change your clothes in your apartment. If you're a fan of the GTA series at all in the slightest, get this game. It's worth every penny. Now all we can do is hope they release Vice City stories.

Best mobile game ever.. I love this game it is way better then Three but on some of the mission they don’t load when you go to them it sits on a black screen then does not let you do the missions this mainly happens on the M mission. But if you have or have not played any other GTA and you are look for a upgrade or look to play your first GTA. This is a great Game it has clean driver amazing graphics and more. Vice city or San Andreas was my favorite game before but this game is better then both of them.

A little trouble to get my car out of my safe house garage. But besides all that I just wanted to you guys know that I really want Vice city Stories to come out and I also want the Warriors to come out as well I’m so impatient for these two games to come out on mobile as a matter fact The fans want these two games to come out please make them come out for those who are wondering why gta Vice city stories haven’t come out yet it’s because it’s probably going to come out on 2026 due to it’s 20 years anniversary it’s the reason why this game and bully came out in its tenth year

Great port. I save constantly, so the one mission so far where the app crashed the first two times I tried to access it wasn't that annoying. Besides, otherwise it's been a great gaming experience on mobile for a console-level game, lower res than console/PC for processing power and RAM/GPU-offload reasons but still super great. The controls are well thought out and customizable; very satisfied with purchase.

Beautiful Game. This game was really well done 5/5 with a great story, good characters, and intensely beautiful remastered graphics. I love the 60 fps which makes the gameplay amazing, the things that you can do in the game are endless, the outfits are really cool. I think the superhero outfit is suppose to reference the marvel superhero "Daredevil" because the outfit is mostly yellow which daredevil's suit used to be yellow, the outfit has a holster which sticks would fit inside since Daredevil uses sticks, the outfit has a letter on the chest which Daredevil has 2 D's on his chest, the outfit's mask has the mouth uncovered exactly like Daredevil's mask, the outfit's model is exactly like Daredevil's ,but except missing the horns, and Daredevil is in New York while this game is set in Liberty City which is coincidently based off New York. Overall this game is a masterpiece, it is better than GTA 3, and I recommend buying this if you want to experience what a masterpiece feels like in the palm of your hands.

Wonderful. Can't wait for GTA VCS for IOS!. GTA SA for IOS was Okay, but that was an extremely glitchy game. Though it was so big. This games world size isn't big and you can't swim, but what exists in the world is polished to the maximum. Wonderful cloud saves, the graphics are amazing. The iPhone 7 is a big upgrade in terms of power, so GTA VCS is going to be amazing. I'm sure with the power of the new devices, the next game will trample every other game. Plus vice city is my favorite area. Though please add a d-pad for directional controls. I don't like analogs and GTA LCS did good with an aim button but please add a d-pad like MCPE or something.

Mission Bug. I bought this game one week ago and everything went well until I start a mission for Maria or Leone. When I start the mission, the game crash, and one time I spend 10 minutes just to see if the game comes back to normal but not. I paid $5 just to play a game that crashes during the missions. I have to do the missions to unlock the full map and besides that, the game is not playable without any missions because it doesn't have a multiplayer option. I don't know if Rockstar Games is gonna fix the bugs in these games because I think they quit updates them and that's sad. They focus more on Grand Theft Auto 5 multiplayer updates and forgets about the games on iPhone/iPad/other androids. Hopefully, an update will come sooner or later, looking forward for any advice regarding how to fix this bug. Hopefully, they will add Grand Theft Auto Vice Coty Stories because that's the only GTA missing from the pack. Grand Theft Auto 4 & 5 won't be for a long year's, that's for sure. I gave 1 star because I want to get Rockstar Games' attention or anyone else attention.

it’s ok but please fix other gta games. You added A lot of updates on this game from full screen support to other bug fixes but you don’t fix any of the older GTA’s. In vice city you cannot change the camera inside a helicopter and the pizza stack pizza man never spawns to sell you pizzas and you cannot do the pizza missions on the faggio. Oh yeah one last thing how come we never got vice city stories but this game? We got bully last year but not vice city stories and I want for Christmas is a remaster a vice city stories. But back to the point of liberty city stories would I say buy this over GTA 3? yes because liberty city stories has much better driving physics and less pop in from a distance.

Great game! Plays smooth on iPhone SE. I have this, vice city and SAN Andreas all on my iPhone SE. I upgraded from a Galaxy Core Prime and what a difference the hardware makes for these games. It looks fantastic and I would say I'm in the upper 40's lower 50's for fps. I got this version on sale for $2 and it's the exact same game as on ps2 just like the others. Like I told my wife it's amazing that I can play the full ps2 game on my phone and enjoy it. Now we need GTA 4 ported! If we loose a little of the depth that'd be ok for 4 as it's a massive game.

Best of the mobile ports. The controls in this game are probably the best. You can use auto and manual aim without having to go to the menu to swap between them, and you can also run with any gun. My only problem is when you fail a mission and have to take a taxi back to the mission start area, why can’t it be like the other games where you can just tap restart? Which brings me to another point: Why are these ports so inconsistent? This is the only one that allows both manual and auto aim at once, San Andreas makes you have to swap between them in settings, and Vice City and GTA 3 don’t allow manual aim at all except with rifles.

Best mob flick game on the app store but a bit pricey. I love this game and it’s the best mafia related game on the app store but maybe if the price was lowered to four or five dollars it would make it even a 100 times better but the story is amazing and the voice acting is surprisingly good for 2002. I recommend buying it but I hope that rockstar lowers the price because after it’s a 20 year old game.

Awesome, but.... I'm sure everyone's writing here for the same reason. Though the game's great and the mechanics are fairly decent, it becomes unplayable during the mission "Calm Before the Storm." During the third cut scene where the helicopter is landing on top of the building (its second stop), the game crashes instantly and the mission is unwinnable. Even if you try skipping the cutscene, a crash is inevitable. Please fix this glitch and I'm sure everyone will be much happier.

GTA's always welcome. First I want to say that I hesitated a lot before buying this game because what has been said about the game only running well on iPhone 6s or better but eventually I decided to give it a shot and man I got surprised! Never thought it would run decently on my iPhone 5! Surely when moving at high speeds it lags considerably but otherwise It's good enough for me. The game itself is obviously a classic and feels a lot like Vice City and GTA3. I have always wondered how LCS was like and it didn't disappoint, more GTA is always welcome! Rockstar, make VCS next please.

Driving bug for all GTA games except SA. So from what I’m noticing, is that when I drive a vehicle, it drifts to the left or right even if I let go of the controls, the car drifts to one of the two directions. When starting the game the bug isn’t present until a few seconds and these ruin the experience and the chances to complete the game with broken vehicle control graphics, can you PLEASE fix this bug for this game, GTA 3, and GTA Vice city? (Maybe check your other games for something similar like this) otherwise these games are not really worth playing? Other than that every thing is good except one of the key gameplays driving is just horrendous.

Crashes on mission: Calm Before The Storm. If you don't skip the cutscenes on that mission, your game will crash. On the 2nd one, there is no avoiding the crash, which makes the mission impossible to complete, which makes the whole game impossible to complete. I have been trying for a decent hour trying to avoid the crash and nothing works. You can try anything but there is no avoiding the inevitable crash. I will give a 5 star rating when it is fixed because I still love this game. Once again, please fix the crash on this mission, as it is very annoying. Thank you Rockstar if you read this. *Edit: The bug has been fixed for quite a while, but I never edited this review. This bug is no longer an issue.

Runs like a dream😁⚡️🔥. To start this review off, I'd just like to say that this game is crazy fun, has great graphics, and lastly runs like a dream on my iPhone 7. It is constantly running a strong 60 fps, as advertised in the description. Although older devices may experience slight difficulties running this game, I would still recommend purchasing. The devices I would without a doubt recommend for purchase and gameplay are iPhone 5s, iPhone 6,6s, iPhone SE, and any iPod iPhone or iPad above those standards. Great job rockstar! Please Add ‘Zoom Out’ Option When On Foot. Just like back in 2007 I remember how great this game is. Gameplay is easily playable. You can configure many things, however, the only thing it’s missing is the Zoom-In, Zoom-Out option when on foot. You can zoom out and in when driving but I recall the PSP version having that option when on foot. So please add that into the game because it helps view my surroundings better. I am not comfortable playing while zoomed in on his back. Anyway, GREAT PORT! Better than the original port for PSP!

Wonderful Work Of Art. When I first got into the GTA series, I set out to buy and play all the amazing games. When it came to buying the mobile ones, I didn’t have a PSP, and the PS2 ones are too expensive, so I looked into other options. When I saw that GTA Liberty City Stories was on IOS, I was skeptical of it, and thought the controls would be hard to play with, how I was wrong. It was amazing how they made the controls so fluent and easy to use, I just loved it! And that on top of the unbelievably fun gameplay and the top notch story, truly makes this one of the greatest games ever made! Absolutely no complaints! Incredible game!

Beautiful game, but.... PLEASE, update this game to support iPhoneX/Xs!!! I see you guys updated San Andreas to support X/Xs’s screen resolution. Please do the same with Liberty City Stories. This game brings back so many good memories of my younger years... I see you guys don’t reply to any reviews (didn’t check all), it would mean a lot to get a response from you and prove that you guys do read and care about what we have to say about your game. Pretty Lit (but a crash). Being a GTA, it's phenomenal for such an old game. Of course though, not too old as currently it is the latest GTA released on the iOS, so there's more features, and it's probably about ten times better, so if you love GTA like I do and have all their games, then do get this, especially if you like GTA III, and even if you're not a fan, you should try it! It's pretty lit! The only problem is that when I get to the mission "Calm Before the Storm", when the helicopter lands on the building, it crashes.

Awesome. I actually think this game is a perfect re-make of the original. I didn’t have any problems with it crashing except if I was trying to jump out of a vehicle that was on its side and I was up against the wall. And even then it didn’t crash it just had me stuck in the air and I could not do anything. But I went right through it beat it and started doing the little side missions in races. I do wish rockstar would go ahead and put out the remaining games they had in the past so we can play it on iOS. especially red dead pistols.? I think that’s what it was called. It’s the first in the series of red dead redemption. I want to say it was on a PlayStation 2. anyways this is a great game of beating the other ones they have redone now I’m lost without any more GTA on my iOS. Please add more.

Hands down one of the best gta games in my opinion. This game has been nothing but fun for me. So far I managed to do a boat load of missions and they’re really fun to play. Yes I’ve had trouble doing some missions, but this might be the only gta game that I’ve played on mobile that I might just be able to complete the story for. The game is also fun with or without cheats. It’s a shame that GTA Vice City Stories isn’t available on mobile. It would be a helluva lotta fun playing that game. Overall Rockstar Games has not failed to disappoint me of the missions that involve shooting. 10/10

Have a strategy guide ready if you’re going for 100 percent. The game is extremely faithful to the psp version besides the radio stations being cut drastically but if you’re going for 100 percent don’t count on switching between apps because this will cause the game to crash randomly other players Han that the game is solid the graphics are even the same from the psp version

My review for iPhone se 2020. I originally played this game on the psp back in ‘05 and I loved it it was brought back on the mobile platform with upgraded graphics and cloud save which Is a huge plus. Another great feature is the rapid load times it’s almost like it doesn’t even load at all the only issue I have is when it crashes but that happens on most games so I’m giving 5 stars

Love this game. I’ve been trying to play this game cause last time was probably in 2008 with my cousin on his PS2, I even thought about buying a console to be able to play since I never got emulators to work properly and when I discovered it was available for iPhones a few days ago I instantly bought, in love with the game and this time I get to see the whole story as well!

Great port. This was the first gta game I played which I originally played on my psp 1000 almost five years ago. I actually have never liked a gta game as much as I liked this one. While the game models aren't super amazing to look at, the gameplay holds up. Plus, the game runs at a much higher frame rate and resolution then on the psp. The only suggestion I have is that if you want to play through all the way, you get a Bluetooth controller.

Fun game but frustrating. This game is extremely fun but still needs some improvements. A better check point system is a must. While on a mission, if you die or fail the objective, you have to restart from the very beginning which is a huge pain if you’re stuck on difficult mission. Another feature I would love to see would be custom controller button mapping. I play the game with a Gamevice MFI controller and it feels extremely awkward the way the controls function as it is. It would also be fantastic if the dev team could figure out some way to make the buttons more responsive but that’s really a controller problem. All in all though, it’s a lot of fun but could be made incredible with these simple touches.

Crashes. After downloading the app for liberty city stories for iOS, it crashes every time I tried to open the app. At first it was a technical issue so I have to restart. After loading I attempt to open the app again and it still crashes. So I delete the app and download it again when I open the app it crashes yet again. Then I deleted it again and wait for a while to see it will work again. So the next day I download the app and open it and same thing as yesterday it crashes. I tried a few more times and it keeps crashes over and over and over again. I paid $6.99 for an app that crashes, I want someone to get this fixed or I want my money back. Also is there’s an app where you can play games on the digital keyboard.

Rockstar please fix your app. Every time I play and I try to do the over dose Maria mission or any other mission my game either kicks me out or crashes it is very annoying and I am on the newest version of iOS I tried looking it up but it doesn’t show up rockstar please fix it it will really be a passion to me and to make me feel better that I paid $6.99 for this app and if you fix it it will really be worth $6.99 the story is great and the whole game is great but it’s just the crashes and the kicking out I I ONLY put one star because to make rockstar games see this and to fix the game with the crashes and the kicking out

Awesome game. I never got to play LCS back when it came out and after recently playing and completing 100% on this game (as well as San Andreas and Vice City), I am thoroughly impressed with this game and I didn’t expect it to offer so much for having been a PSP game initially. But they made a full blown GTA game for this one and it is amazing. ROCKSTAR: WHY didn’t you make a Vice City Stories mobile port for iOS?! I am so bummed and saddened by this. Words can’t describe how much I love that these GTA titles are available to play on my iPhone. I just wish I could play VCS on it. :(

Crashing crashing crashing.. I am running the latest IOS for iPhone 7plus. I had no issues with “Calm Before the Storm” glitching or crashing, however after getting to the second island and doing a ton of missions, it decided to crash after I completed the last mission for Leon McAffrey and received a call from Donald Love to go meet him. The “D” appeared back on the map - then it mysteriously disappeared, and I can’t complete anything else. Only icons that are showing are the Church bell, gun shops and my apartments. I can’t even do the Church Confessional missions, the app just closes. So now I’m stuck with money and guns and nothing to do except drive around and listen to Reni talk about nipple clamps (not I don’t love her commentary, but still.) I saved my game to the Social Club slot. I deleted the app and re-installed it and still no luck. The game was fun and brought back the memories from when I had it on my PSP... now it’s just a big disappointment. I have no issues with bugs or crashes with San Andreas on my iPhone, but this game is so frustrating. I am giving three stars in hopes that this can be fixed with some kind of update and because the game is fun - until it crashes. Edit: Bugs/Crashes are gone, I am updating my review two years later but hey, why not. Five stars for a great nostalgic game!

Crashes. This game is awsome i loved beating it but when i deleted it and than downloaded it back i tried loading my cloud save but when i did it just crashed so i closed the app and tried again but the same thing i also deleted it and downloaded it back but still no luck also when you press the resume button it crashes

Great game but.... First of all I just wanted to say that this game was the first game I played that honestly got me into video games. And everything in LCS (liberty city stories) is how I remembered, however the game crashes often and I mean often. Not that I have a huge problem with the fact the game crashes... but none of the other GTA's I got on mobile crash like LCS! Overall the game is just as I remembered sitting in the backseat as a little girl playing on my PSP and LCS would be the main thing I played. Best version again. Yeah this plays way better than it did on psp and ps2 versions. Glad they rereleased this one and I can't wait for vcs. On a side note you can tilt the bikes with only touch controls. Wish sa had this feature since its a full game while this was a portable game (smaller). But at least it has my favorite car in the whole series, the hellnback gt. Get this one. I used to get lost in liberty city with this game. Back then it was very detailed with an atmosphere of the lat 90's. Stop reading reviews and get the game you won't be disappointed.

Brings me back. I played this game in the old days when games didn’t need perfect graphics. The best thing about it being on my IPhone is that I can play my Tom Macdonald songs while I play it. It’s great I heard if you have the keyboard you can put the cheat codes in. Everyone knows how fun that is after you beat the GTA games. Plus if you like this game you should love the GTA Vice city game on here as well.

Terrible Quality, so many bugs and issues. Very rarely do I write poor reviews, but in this case I have to make an exception. Running an iPad Pro on iOS 10 this game is barely playable. I have weird sound distortion issues all the time, and the game keeps crashing during all kinds of missions and it doesn't save with autosave. I can't pass the mission calm before the storm because it keeps crashing every time I get to the second cut scene. I love this game so please fix this.

Finally. This is one of the first games I’ve been trying to play since I upgraded from the iPhone 5s to the iPhone X that works flawlessly. On the 5s the game would automatically close out whenever I was trying to finish the second mission and never let me play afterwards and could not get my money back. Well on this phone the game works amazing! Amazing graphics and no lagging what so ever!

Happy I get to play these games on my tablet.... So excited that I finally decided to buy the GTA games bundle for my tablet. Nothing better than having the ability to just take my tablet out and start playing literally anytime\anywhere. Not sure why it took me so long to finally decide to buy the bundle seeing as the price is an amazing deal. So happy that I did because I’m loving every second spent playing. Thank you Rockstar games. Love the games you have blessed us with throughout the years. So awesome playing my favorites on the tablet. No complaints at all! If you haven’t yet just do it already and buy these games already! Your missing out if you don’t! 🤩

Bugs. This isn't really a critique of the game story wise, but rather how it's been functioning. It's a great game, but i often encounter a specific problem. When I drive, whether on a car or motorcycle, the vehicle tends to drive towards one side instead of moving straight when I'm not pressing the directional arrow buttons. At first it didn't bother me, but it's become a nuisance that I'm asking to be fixed. Other than that, this along with the other GTAs on the App Store are all childhood treasures and a blast to play on my iPhone 7! Thank you.(I will rate this game 5 stars after the bug is fixed)

Great game.. This game is very good if you own a new device. If you play on a iPad 2 or something like that it runs like garbage. Once you do the game you can do side missions or get hidden packages. Only one complaint is there is no multiplayer, on the psp there was and it was fun. Could free rom,race,and pvp. So in a update or even vice city story's you could add this in. Even if it is just local, online would be amazing, just playing that hunter mode or playing around. Can't wait for it. I would play that all day. Thanks for reading. That is why the Mobile games where so fun. If you had someone to play with you could do a lot of things, kinda like gta online. Bluetooth or even lan is great. Made them special for having a real multiplayer where we can move where ever unlike gta sa where your stuck on one screen and have to be near each other. Adds hours of game play to a already fun game.

Calm before the storm. Same bug as everyone else, can't go any further in the game, tried airplane mode, skip scenes, not skip scenes, nothing works. Waste of cash until its fixed, get San Andreas instead works great.

PLEASE FIX GLITCH. This game has so much potential, each time I go into a mission it glitches out and I go back to home screen so can you please fix the glitch

Good but needs a few bug fixes. Although it crashed at "Calm until the storm", I played the game in aeroplane mode to get around it. It also is much easier to play with a controller rather than on screen controls

I've recently downloaded this game on my iPad mini, it works well, occasionally it might crash and every time I get past the bridge on driving Mr Leone the game will crash so I can't complete the mission, please fix these issues it would be greatly appreciated thanks

Needs major work. The actual port itself is beautifully done, until you get to the mission 'calm before the storm'. Game will crash no matter what you do. Rockstar knows of this issue yet sells a faulty product willingly. Do not buy if you are expecting to play the whole game.

Mission doesn’t come out. I first played this game 10years ago on my psp, and I picked it up again recently, and I have completed the Japanese gang mission just then, the continuing missions chose not to show up. Is this a bug or do I need to do achieve something to make it shows. Please, I really wanted to finish this game after my long wait

Very fun. Okay so I loved the game up until 'Calm Before the Storm' as I'm sure everyone understands and I almost gave up on it ever working but today it worked! I passed the mission first shot no glitches whatsoever! What did I do different? DO NOT SKIP ANY CUT SCENES! Right from the cut scene of Tony walking into JD's don't skip ANYTHING and it works fine!

Waste of Money. I bought this game and after owning it for a day the audio completely stopped working. I tried contacting Rockstar Support on both twitter and through their ticketing system and was completely ignored. There’s no point playing GTA without the audio, so saved yourself the money and the trouble and give it a miss.

How To Fix Glitch. GTA LCS CRASH FIXED!!!! BEAUTIFUL GAME I restarted my ipad, put it in airplane mode, did a taxi mission first, then skipped ALL cutscenes except the Landing one. And it worked! Ipad Air, IOS 10.1

Faithful update. Thank you for updating this game for the newer devices. I hope GTA: IV will one day be ported to mobile too. Unlike the many other reviews, this game doesn’t crash at the “Calm Before the Storm” mission for me. If you suffer from this issue, don’t skip the cutscene as that is believed to be the cause of the crashing.

Crashes at a certain mission. This is a great game until you reach the mission "Calm Until The Storm". When you reach that mission it always crashes! I just read a few reviews already saying they have the same problem. You need to get this fixed!!

Perfect except for one crash. This is a great game and has really good mobile controls with lots of customization options, and so far the only time it's crashed is if I open Control / Notification Center or Home without pausing the game, which causes it to crash next time I open it.

Should have been better. I hate to say it, but Rockstar drop the ball on this one. I was excited when I saw LCS in the app store. I haven't played it since I sold my PS2 copy years ago. I thought rhe game was under appritiated when released. Since buying and downloading I've numerous problems, namely on start up when the social club sign in comes. You can't skip the thing, granted a lot of people are on the social club, but think off the people that don't want to sign up for it. Have a skip button that actually works. The second issue is when coming back to a game. It's not smooth like it was for VC or SA, it's glitchy, having the damn social club sign come back made all the worse. The last issue i'm bringing up is sound. Sometimes when the app wants to be nice and jump in smoothly the sound in gone, non existent from start. I've tried exiting the app and coming, closing my Ipod and coming back. Neither work. I've read about the issue with the mission "Calm before the store" and the tendencie for the app to crash. A complaint that's been mentioned since mid 2016. Where's the update for it? Is there even a slight update going to happens? Who knows? Like the title says, Rockstar dropped the ball on this port, I thought about getting VCS later on, but i'm definitly re thinking that now. Maybe because the game is under appritiated it didn't quite get the love like the more notable ones in the series.

No iPhone XR Support. This game needs to support the iPhone XR and other newer phones. The game is really fun to play, but the controls are difficult to use on the iPhone XR when playing. They’re a lot smaller and spread out.

A Classic with a shiny new look. The classic feeling of a parallel city in your pocket. I recommend buying the whole rockstar bundle all are amazing games at a great valued price.

Rockstar, listen to your angry/stuck fans!!!. You have been holding off for about a year now on the fix on the "Calm Before The Storm" mission. I don't care what excuse you may have but this is unacceptable. It's like an airplane manufacturing company decides not to fix an issue which causes their planes to LITTERALLY crash. It's absurd. And all it will take is one simple update, so can you please fix it. This is really annoying. None of the workarounds work so the only way you can fix it, is by putting out an update. -2 stars because of the lack of attention towards the game's flaws, +3 stars because I love the franchise, keep up the good work! 😋

Unique stunt jump problem. I can't complete a USJ in Shoreside Vale, I tried different methods but the result is the same, It's almost impossible to complete the jump near the liberty pharmaceuticals, I'm not sure if i'm going further enough to complete the jump, I just hope this isn't a bug

Great game.. Definitely not as good as San Andreas or Bully on the iPhone, but still, very fun and a great way to pass the time. Controls are a little bit odd to get used to, but after you adjust—becomes extremely addicting and very enjoyable. 100% not at all like the garbage that is GTA 3 on the iPhone, and that makes it even more enjoyable. Kudos to the app developers on merging a classic masterpiece into an iPhone-playable game!

Touch Configuration Fix. The touched configuration needs to be fixed for this game. Too often when I try to accelerate, the app reads it as my reversing. Underrated game!. This is the first gta I played and one of my fav mainly because of nostalgia but many other gta games are better than this but it’s a nice simple trip back to liberty city with bikes that were not in gta 3 a character with a voice unlike gta 3 plus it’s the first gta mobile game with 60fps where as the other games are capped at 30fps

Good but not That good. The reason i rate this game 3 stars is beacouse: 1. IT KEEPS CRASHING ON THE MISSION "Calm Before The Storm" 2. They had alot of time to make this and they end up making it horrible for the mobile version.. I really enjoyed the PSP version but this is just Bad.. Plus its 7.00 dollars.. Cheap but not worth it for this game.. this should atleast be 4.00 or 5.00 dollars. 3. It may be a little bad but it has alot of detail.. Fun game, poor performance. Crashes a lot, often losing my progress, also frame dropping is common (on the 2020 iPhone SE) which shouldn’t ever happen when you are on a new phone, another issue I have is loading between islands, are you serious?!?!?! I know the original game was like this, but my phone can handle the world loaded in, I have a brand new iPhone, same goes for vice city, San andreas isn’t an issue though. Overall poor execution, even worse than San andreas glitches and bugs.

Fix the issue. Really simple, mission: quiet before the storm Problem: heli+landing=crash This really is annoying, and amazing as this game has been on the app store for 10 months now(granted the issue seems to have come up in the last month). This is a game ending bug where progress is halt(by the way, not to far into it to my knowledge). I have now updated this for 1 star, as the game is 1 year old and still not fixed, including the counteract ion of the sudden upsurge of 5 star reviews.

Please add Vice City Stories.. This game is a lot of fun like the others and now that I’ve beat the story and done the side missions I want to move to the next game and I’ve put a lot of hours into the other games like Vice City and San Andreas. I’d gladly buy Vice City Stories when it comes out on iOS.

FIX THE GLITCHES AND CRASHES. I've been GTA since I was in my early teens (my parents wouldn't let me play it when I was any younger than that lol... anyway) I'm obsessed with GTA everything and I love this classic but the glitches and lag when you're accelerating and the constant crashing at one mission drives me insane! It's like I wasted my money and I can't enjoy the game. Please, please update this and get these bugs out so I can get back to loving my GTA!!!

Crash Issues. I have to say, this isn't the game to buy. I have an iPad original with iOS 9.3.5, and it STILL has problems, such as lagging, and eventually crashing. You can't even pass the first mission, so you can only drive around for a few minutes around Portland and that's it. You can't complete the game, and the updates have not fixed this issue. It's best not to buy this game because of this, and definitely a waste of money if you're looking to actually COMPLETE the game.

What are you think about GTA liberty city stories. Amazing Story(so far) but one issue.. So I’ve been playing for a day, the story following the Sindacco’s and Salvatore Leone, is just outstanding, but I’ve had some issues with the difficulty(Major Spoilers Below) When I Was On The Fight Between The Chainsaw Guys And Had To Kill Vincenzo, I Couldnt Do It For Like An Hour, Then I Couldn’t Kill Mayor R.C Hole, I Wish There Was A Way To Make It Easier

Brings back childhood. I loved this game because it reminds me of my childhood. Plus it allows you to do what ever you want to do in the game. One thing is that you can work may job like a police , a paramedic , a taxi driver and last a firefighter. The price is a good price or maybe is could be 6 dollars.

Well this will make people mad. I don’t really like this game when i got it for my iPad because sometimes it’s terrible to control bikes in game, you can die easily and it’s just doesn’t give the charm that GTA 3, vice city, or San Andreas had. But the map is just New York again which I like and hate. But besides that this game is fun and I do recommend it.

Don’t waste your money on this game. This game is horrible, it’s newer than gta San Andreas and the graphics are worse, you can’t swim, and there isn’t anything to do once you finish the missions also when I went to get a refund the website kept saying the request timed out, very disappointed in this game and I want my money back. The Best IOS GTA Game. Wow. This game was AMAZING! And especially on IOS! I never played the GTA games when I was young, but my god was I missing out! This game is a beautiful remaster of the original 2005 Liberty City Stories. By far, one of my top 5 best GTA games of all time. Rockstar, I dunno what you do to make this game a masterpiece, but great job! Keep up the good work! 👍🏻

CHEATS DISCOVERED!. Besides this game being really fun and best optimized for iPad compared to other GTA games, I discovered that if you connect an external controller and play this game with it, you can actually input PSP Cheat Codes on the game! Just replace the button layout of your controller to actual PSP button lay out to command a cheat and it should work! I tried doing this for other GTA games but no luck, but this is an awesome discovery!

Calm before storm crash. Yesterday I notice that this game crash and that's only mission it's happen if there's an update plz send me one so I can updated and I can finish the game I'll give this 5 star until the game is fix and any bugs in this causing the game to crash plz get rid of them and hopefully the game is fix thank you guys this game is like psp only with out the crashes

Gameloft’s Gangstar New Orleans & Las Vegas mobile games have the best mobile controls for auto aiming/auto targeting, shooting, and driving. Rockstar’s ported iOS versions of the GTA series should learn (and adopt) some of the ways of Gameloft’s Gangstar series because Gangstar has been especially optimized for mobile platforms.

Great game lots of lags. The game is great and the graphics are amazing but the game is full of crashes the most notable is calm before the storm where the game crashes on the first cutscene with you have to skip and on the second you can't stop the crash. ( Rockstar please fix this)

Crashes. In the mission calm before the storm, expect your game to crash when the heli lands in the cutscene. This crash has affected many players for nearly a year, since 1.13 update, and there's been no fix. Making players unable to progress. Some have bypassed this by entering airplane mode, doing a side missions first, changing settings, and saving to cloud then deleting and redownloading. I have done all of which to no success with 20+ crashes now. Disappointed they're charging 7 dollars for a game with a game breaking glitch and not resolving the issue that so many have reported.

Fun but bug. There is a bug with cars where they just start turning right randomly and I know it ain’t my iPad because it’s brand new. But very fun and keep up the good work because I can’t wait till gta 6. I love your games rockstar. A cool idea is to make a mobile red dead redemption. Thx for these violent but cool games!!!

Crashing again and again the game just keeps on crashing when i do this mission called “The Morgus Party Candidate” this has been going on for years now with bugs and glitches plus crashing i am giving you guys 3 stars because of the constant crashing that happens on this game please fix the issue and i will give you guys 5 stars👍🏼.

good but some bugs. At the start or the end of some missions it will flashback to main screen or dark screen and I can only restart the game and it back to last time I save the game. Amazing game. So far the game is good. But I'm still getting used to the touch screen controls. The game runs fine on a iPhone se but I tested it and I first ran the game on a iPad mini and performance isn't good. A warning don't run this game on anything below a iPhone 5s or the performance will be bad for you. Overall the game is recommended for people who want to play GTA on the go.

My GTA liberty city stories review. The GTA franchise a.k.a. rockstar is an amazing franchise. This game is a very fun game liberty city stories. What is the first Grand theft auto I played this game. It’s not Perfect but it is definitely an amazing game. My opinion it has the best graphics out of all of the Grandtheft auto. Mobile games you can play GTA liberty city stories is probably my second favorite GTA game only counting GTA three GTA vice city, GTA, San Andreas, GTA, Chinatown wars Not including GTA 1,2 GTA four, or GTA five. Which are the only games I have not played. I wish GTA. Liberty city stories. Was on steam. I do not think that they are planning on putting LCS but it would be very nice if they did I would definitely recommend GTA LCS 92%

Frustrating controls and gameplay. After playing GTA3, VC, and SA on the iPad, this is a frustrating experience. The physics, controls, camera, and general gameplay are much rougher and/or finicky than those other games. Missions are frequently impossible to get right or zero challenge. Overall a not enjoyable game experience, definitely not after playing the other big titles.

Game crashes on mission: calm before the storm. I have tried this mission a few times and on every try the app crashes on the 2nd cutscene. Please fix this bug. It is impossible to get anymore mission when I'm unable to complete this one. (I've notice a few other people are having the same problem)

Great Game. So far I have really enjoyed the opportunity to play this game on iOS. I never owned a PSP so this is my first time playing this game on any device. I haven’t encountered any bugs this far in my play though and overall my experience has been an enjoyable one.

Great game but needs to be fixed. I love this game and played it when it was on the psp. I had it on my phone but then deleted it after I made it to the second island. Now I have redownloaded it and redid all of the missions up to the one where you follow the helicopter. It continues to crash in the cut scenes even if you skip them or don't. With this I cannot make it to the second island again. Please fix this and then it can be a 5 star rating

Smooth Gameplay|Great open world game. Best GTA for apple devices (I have all of them). Smoothest gameplay and easy to use controls. The game hasn’t crashed for me and I’ve been playing it for about 2 months now. Keep in mind every game would crash if you lock the screen during game sessions.

Crashs like crazy, just when you're in the middle of a mission it kicks you out of the game. The title says it all you're playing the game you're liking it good graphics, good controls and then you go to a mission and when It goes into storyline it kicks you out of the app completely. I've tried everything to try to skip it, but there is nothing you can do. So I don't like giving games one star but if I pay for a game and I can't even play it??? And I'm on an iPad Pro with latest software. That's a zero rating

Great game but some glitches need to be fixed😬😬v3. So when I play, right after I finish following the helicopter I'm the mission, Calm before the storm, right before it lands by the group of people, it crashes and exits it of the app. I have to get back in the app, get back to the start of the mission, and then it does the same thing. I can't complete the mission!

iOS Port is better than original. Frame rate on iPhone 8 Plus smokes the original PSP. Makes this much more playable. Took less time than I thought to adapt to the on-screen controls. Seems to be an intermittent glitch with turning left while coasting. Or maybe I’m just missing the button. Otherwise good classic GTA experience and plays great on iPhone.

SOMEONE AT ROCKSTAR FIX THIS GAME. would someone at rockstar please fix the calm before the storm (aka the calm before the app crashes) glitch that causes this game to crash for everyone that plays it. I'm clearly not the only one. I love rockstar games but I will not continue to download or pay for anymore content that will simply crash and be unable to enjoy. Please look into this Rockstar.

Other Grand theft auto stories. I love the game I love enjoying playing liberty city stories on the phone and my PSP but when I played it first it was on my PSP but I just want to ask are you guys going to add Grand theft auto vice city stories because I would be delighted if you guys do put it on mobile and if you guys are working on it or trying to thank you so much.

Be careful when buying this. This is a great game love the original and love it even more on mobile devices; well that is before you get to the mission calm before the storm. After you get so far into the game you reach a mission called calm before the storm and once you get to a certain point the game will crash and there is no avoiding it. This would easily be a 5 star rating but until they fix this three will have to do.

Great game, but calm before the storm keeps crashing. I've played all GTA games and they're amazing! So I'm excited whenever a new version becomes available in iOS. Never had a PlayStation so was excited about Liberty City Stories coming out! However I'm stuck. The mission Calm Before the Storm keeps crashing at the second cutscene, no matter how much I try to pass it by tapping the arrow. Giving a one star review because the problem seems to have been out there for a while but Rockstar hasn't fixed it yet!!!

NEXT: GTA Vice City Stories. Impatient now with the follow up of a GTA Vice City Stories port to the iOS & other compatible mobile gaming platforms. Use the same engine/etc. Brilliant port, stellar in every aspect and category for criticism. Dear Rockstar Games, you really have an late, overdue project here: GTA VICE CITY STORIES!!! Are we waiting for the next main installment: GTA VI to be set in Vice City in order to pre-release the GTA VCS port to iOS as an appetizer + promotion(?)

Crashing at certain mission.. The game worked completely fine and it's pretty entertaining if you have some free time. The game crashed once but then it crashed over and over again during the mission calm before the storm. This is what's stopping me from going any further. Is there going to be a fix any time soon? Last time oh guys updated it was in the summer of 2016 and I'm writing this in almost spring of 2017.

I love this game but it keeps crashing when I start the mission Calm before the storm. 😫Hey can you guys please send me an update because when I start the mission calm before the storm it works fine until it goes to the cutscene when Massimo is landing his helicopter in Hepburn heights & it also crashes when he is landing on the roof of the building in Chinatown. Great port of a great game. Running on my iPad Pro 2020 smooth with no issues and looks crisp on the 120hz display. However there are missions that are gonna cause the player to come to a dead stop. There’s a cutscene crash on a couple missions in particular where regardless of whatever iOS device you are using will crash the app during the cutscene. Tested on iPhone X iPad mini 2,3, iPad Air and Pro

Thanks for the crash update but still some fixing needed.. Long time ago I uninstalled it because of the “Calm Before the Storm” crash. I see that it’s been updated so I was very happy playing it. Except the in game sound started to echo and a bit distorted, some glitch maybe? I’ve tried to ignore it but it’s really annoying it’s impossible. Great game. Uninstalling it. Fan since 1998. Good Company.

Good, but..... I like it but here's the thing that gets me sooooo cranky and frustrated, every time I am trying to enjoy the game there are moments where game just crashes randomly!! Like this isn't even the first time I have seen happen. Even like a year ago or so when I saw this game appear on IOS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAS CHANGED WITH THE BUGS! Like seriously, the crashes should not keep on happening for no reason, and whatever the reason is get it fixed! And how can I NOT be mad after seeing this happening a lot?!

Definitely worth it!. I always loved this game and it’s one of my favorites along with Vice City Stories. I wish they’d port them to PC though. And I wish Vice City stories was available on IOS. But I won’t complain. I’m glad to have this on IOS. It’s super awesome!!!

My games is freezing up at Maria park and keep blanking out could brought GTA China town no problem y’all the best went with my gut y’all need to fix this only had game for 3 days and problems help and update dat software to new version which take your old game and new more realistic build cars dogs in street more experience online pay u call it give new theme expression year around play for pay online will be at location inside game at store wateva most massive upgrade

Better Than the Original. Rockstar Games has done an amazing job remastering their classic decade-old title, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. Especially in 60 frames per second, the game looks like it could have been made way ahead of its time. Can't wait to see how Vice City Stories looks remastered later this year...

I never haven’t really played this game before, I always wanted to try it, but I didn’t have any Sony console at the time, only pc platform and today years after I have the ps4 platform, I’m really satisfied with the option that rockstar really giving, for those that was having a tough time like me back in days, so thanks.

Don't waste your money. I would give it zero stars if I could. The game crashes on the mission "Calm Before the Storm" and it's impossible to pass it. Again, do not waste your money on this garbage. It's fun for like 10 minutes until you realize you can't make it further into the game and get onto the other 2 parts of the city. **UPDATE** Thankfully Apple was able to refund me my 7 dollars for this garbage. Everyone should ask for a refund maybe Apple will take the game down since it's not working properly.

Good but crashes. Great game but wish it wouldn’t crash, I would play for about 15-30min and it would crash and if u didn’t save the game after a mission, you just outta luck🤷🏾‍♂️but must say overall played great even better with a controller, and graphics better than the OG version

Good game, needs bugfixes. How to pass Calm Before the Storm: Skip the first two cutscenes with heli (the game crashes if you watch the one where the heli lands on the construction site). Then follow it closely, all the way to the last building. Wait for it to get to the landing point, don't drive inside the dead end -- park on a curb outside the building. Don't try to skip the last cutscene or the game will crash! You should be good to go after that last cutscene ends.
