Uploading podcasts is so easy. I have been using anchor since I started my podcast, not so perfect podcast. & it literally makes it so easy to upload my podcasts into the world!! All I had to do was upload it to Anchor and Anchor let me know when it was available on other podcasting vendors. & from then on out, as soon as I uploaded my podcast episodes to anchor, they were immediately available on all podcasting platforms. I would never actually sponsor something I don’t believe in, but I have felt the need to put a sponsor segment for anchor at the beginning of each episode because I believe in Anchor. Thank you so much for making it so easy!

Love the idea (and the feedback from my experience using this app). I’ve been using this app for almost a week now and I’m delighted for the effort developers put in with updates and improvements. So far, I have tried mostly co-host recordings of the app and there are few concerns; For some reason, When i’m connected via 4G network (using iphone 6). I find a co-host, we connect (in the coundown phase) but then it always ends up failing and connections is gone (sometimes I can’t hear, other times it quits itself) so I weren’t able to speak co-host a single time (probably out of 15 attempts) with cellular network. Whereas it happened only 1-2 times with wi-fi networks. Also, every notification is useless when it says that someone’s ready to speak (and I get ton of it each day). everytime I click on that, I go to endless “looking for” screen which i’m already spending too much time anyways when manually “looking for it” myself. Also sometimes it is quite difficult to find a persons profile to whom I’ve had a co-host session with. that happens if i miss “a person published it” notification, then when i look into my library it gives only my own recording and I couldn’t find anything clickable about that person . I only see his/her name. again thanks to the people who are working hard to make things easier!! keep up the good work 🙏

I don’t like the new update at all.. I encouraged a lot of people to get the Anchor app so that we could make podcasts together. now with the new update I am no longer able to connect with these people or see their profiles on Anchor, which I don’t understand why Ancora made this not an inclusive app anymore, anchor gets most of its users word of mouth from other users, so I don’t understand why anchor would shut that part of their business down !! It makes it pointless to suggest the app to new users!! it just makes no sense to me, and I’m no longer able to browse through the podcast that are on the Anchor app I don’t understand why they change this ? what was the big deal about ? I would say if anchor wants more users they change it back so they’re users will suggest to their friends to use this app !! Otherwise it will only pick up the one person that wants to make podcast instead of potential guests that will eventually make their own podcast in the future?

Beyond Frustrating. I have been using this app for about a year or so, it worked pretty good up until about 4 months ago. The editing tool seemed to develop a major issue. I would make my cuts, and playback to ensure it was accurate. But after I saved my edits all the cuts are off by a few seconds, which really screws up the audio. Once you save changes there is no going back. I hoped the recent update would fix it but now there is an even bigger problem. I record my podcast in segments and listen back to each one before saving and ensuring it’s uploaded. I make sure this is done before moving on to record my next segment. While this takes forever it has ensured everything is accurate and if any one part gets corrupted I only have to redo one short segment vs the entire podcast. But today, I finished recording the last segment (out of 4) and found that my first two segments suddenly show a failed upload and when I press the reload button it still doesn’t come through. I had already checked 30 minutes before and all previous segments showed completely uploaded and ready to playback. How did are they suddenly not uploaded? Why won’t it reload? I used to recommend this app to everyone but after 4 months of increasing issues I give it one star.

Almost great, but fatal errors. The idea and software are great, plus there seems to be a lot of app support. However there are some major needs to make this app professional. There should be a setting that allows you to start and pause the same recording (it boggles my mind that I have to hold up the phone or keep my finger on the screen the entire time I'm talking and can't put the phone down) and second it has no "editing" tool for any of the clips. So everything has to either be perfect or cut into little pieces for it to be post-produced, makes it mandatory to post unwanted audio. It should at least have the settings that the iPhone record app already has. Additionally, the video making tool is great, but it only does segments and not episodes. And you can't combine segments, making any episode multiple videos (clutter). Also it would be awesome if we could upload our recordings from our iPhone voice memos, that would solve a lot of issues and do for more easy content. And what's up with the middle square on the interface? It's useless. There should be some settings for recording. Finally, I wish there was some generic background music choices like on video editing apps.

Editing tools are not reliable. When I try to edit my audio, the sound of my voice is not aligned with the image of the waveform, so I have to guess where to make the cuts. Even after I replay what I have trimmed within the “edit audio” function and it sounds correct, it saves it badly and it comes out wrong after the save so the audio sounds glitchy and choppy and words and sentences are cut off. It’s very annoying. I can spend an hour editing just to have to start all over again. The editing tool is reliable only 30% of the time. I have tired to uninstall and reinstall the app several times, as well as updating iOS and also using the editing tool directly on the website. None of this helps. It is frustrating!

It would be perfect for me if it worked consistently. I have gone through the list of troubleshooting; updated browsers, tried multiple browsers, used the app on my phone and iPad, made sure that was updated, emptied the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled...and I still am having such a struggle to just get my first episode live. First problem I faced was when I recorded for the hour limit it failed to process. Ok, I’ll cut the audio in half and edit each half...minor annoyance. But then I spent 6 hours precisely splicing and trimming one half of the recording and when I went to review it before continuing, it was all chopped up and jumbled up. I assumed I someone hit something wrong so I did it again....I have attempted to edit parts of it even, and it still gets all jumbled and edits out pieces I didn’t splice and remove and even swapped parts of the audio that were in the same segment that couldn’t have gotten swapped. After 9 hours of working on this I finally decided it isn’t user error and it’s just a buggy system. I love everything about the app concept and I just hope they fix their editing software to make it truly user-friendly so I can finally start getting my content out there.

Good but had a problem. My first thought of this app was great but I had a hard time trying to export the podcast and I looked it up but it only did a portion at a time I want to upload the whole thing on my website and when I tried it only did each segment by themselves and then I saw a button to add the segment to my podcast so I thought maybe it wasn’t added so I added them but I came to realize it just added then a second time which is no big deal I would just delete them and when I did it delete both rather then just one so by then end I didn’t have my podcast at all and an entire hour of my work was wasted hopefully it was just user error I will try again and see just disappointed my entire episode got deleted

I love Anchor 💕. I found the love of Podcasts after I learn from other’s I have a voice for radio.. I tried just recording my voice in the mic app for reminders.. I perhaps have been trying to find other ways of relaxing to stay in a comfortable place in my life. Now that I have found the love of podcasts I considered making my own.. Thank you Anchor.. you gave me the privilege to Accomplish this new way finding ways to expressing my life to other’s who may be going through the same struggles in life that can relate to me in ways I never thought possible. So we all can share the love of the podcast world! wish me luck everyone and don’t forget to follow and subscribe to my podcast Cozy & Comfortable on Anchor!!

New feature suggestion.. I am new to pod casting and this app has made it so easy to jump in! But, for the love of Jesus…. Will you PLEASE add a cue to deleting asking are you sure so we can stop the action or make a way to get it back that was done by accident by clicking on the wrong place. I just did that and it is a terrible feeling and I wish there was a safe guard or a way to get it back. Yes, my fault but it sure would be nice to have that feature… so someone else doesn’t have the same frustrating, sick feeling I have right now. Again - love this app but feeling a bit aggravated with myself and the fact there isn’t anything I can do about it. It just would be a nice addition I believe.

It was easy...to list to and was beautify.. So the versions before 3.0 were fine in terms of uploading music from your desktop, listening to the latest episodes of your favorites, commenting via text and looking at how many claps each segments. But now I don’t see the latest of my favorites or claps per segment. I also miss reposting music or segments I heard on different stations (or haven’t discovered how to do that in this version). Plus I liked how the music would go ahead and publish on my station. I normally don’t plan an episode or playlist mix for each day. Don’t get me wrong I love how I can reorder the segments and add them to previous episodes or compose a new one out of those. I also like how my favorites are all lined up in the Discover section. Lastly, I like seeing more stats. So please bring back said features or make it less complicated.

Nice!. They asked me to leave a nice review, so here it is! I like these guys. I try not to get too attached to my apps but this is one I am liking. They make it too easy NOT to share audio! But, I confess, I have to be very careful about talking too much. After all, it’s not just about transmitting, it’s also about listening to others. Whether you transmit or receive, and whether you speak or you listen, AnchorFM makes it easy. Monetizing? Isn’t everyone? It looks like it will now be easier to monetize here, too. Stripe appears to be the weapon of choice for monetizing here. I have some sweet and sour thoughts when it comes to monetizing: I’m glad someone will make money, and I’m also thankful that if they make enough money they will still be able to put up with freeloaders like me! Nicely done! Keep it up. Stay the course!

Impressive. I’ve been using Anchor from Accra, Ghana and this app has been a convenience and so far it’s promising. My issue is I can’t monetise my podcasts. This has been an issue with African countries forever and I hope it only gets much better with time. Dear devs, please include a more enhanced ‘enhanced’ recording alongside skipping silence feature. That’ll really be helpful. And the ability to cross fade and adjust background music volume, preludes, interludes and epilogues in the next update. Also the ability to distribute to Boomplay as well. For now, everything seems great. Thank you. UPDATE: so I used the invite feature for the first time and it wasn’t the best experience. The discussion with my guest was distorted even after several attempts to re-record the episode. We found it problematic. So I hope the hardworking devs do their best to take note of this issue and get it fixed for a seamless conversation. Would be much appreciated. Thanks again.

If you want to know about this app, read this pls. Hello! So, of you are looking for a short review, you have come to the right place! This app is a great app I think! Well, if I could get it too work! The reason I gave it 5 stars is so you could see this! When I tried to sign up, it would ask me for my date of birth. I would type in my birthday, and it would say: “Please check tour internet connection or reopen the app“ I would over and over and it wouldn’t work! When I finally got in, before I could even tap the record button, an app popped up! Thank you fir taking the 1:00 minute out of your day to read this! Thank you bye!!

What a treat!. For this person, Anchor is such a sensational product. Valuing connection, the construction workers that are the co-creators of Anchor with Jesus, The Ultimate Creator, have set sail so to speak to bring you the waves of others that care for communication and counsel and consumer satisfaction and other important aspects involved with this product also including creating episodes for the practice of creativity. As far as i can see, there’s no need to make port for another platform, drop your search and stay where you are by not only dropping your jaw at this product, but this Anchor shall aid your fishing for knowledge and that which you will to cast abroad.. around the world.

Excellent for new podcasts. I do not utilize the app’s podcast recording capabilities at all. I record my podcast using Adobe Audition and I record my guests remotely using a website. I have had the Anchor website crash a couple times while trying to cut my episode in half with the tools on the site. Ever since then I split it up before I upload my episode to the website. Overall as a beginner, I really liked the distribution factor as well as the fact that I could record an ad right away for my episodes. I also use the app daily for tracking my listens and checking in on my progress. The benefits out weigh the cons for me, but I’m also not relying on the app to do my recording. Use your best judgment based on your needs.

Great for recording and publishing but no good for editing. Great for recording and publishing but so far I have had terrible experiences with editing using this app. I want to love the editing tools but if I accidentally click out of the editing window (I use my iPad for editing) it exits back to my library and I lose all of my work. This issue is easily recreated and has happened multiple times where I have edited about half of my episode and my child touched my screen and I lost everything or my hand accidentally touched the screen and again, it didn’t save and all my changes were gone. If this bug could be fixed then I would use Anchor for all steps, start to finish.

Great app but... This is a great app to get started on creating podcast. My friend and I just got approved for Apple podcasts and pocket cast in a matter of days! The only thing keeping me from giving it a full five star review are the two following problems. The first one, the app needs to include a way to trim unnecessary audio recordings. There has been plenty of times where we are 15-20 mins recording and we get distracted by something and end up recording 2-3 mins off topic and guess what? We have to record again since we can’t trim the audio recording! That is very frustrating. The second problem, whatever the app does it kills my phone’s battery! No joke! Just today we recorded a 11 min episode and my phone went from 86% to 58% that was unbelievable. And before you say it must’ve been something else..no I have background data restricted on all apps with exception of Anchor, Mail, Clash Royale, and Play music. When I launch this app I close out of everything and only laugh this app and I connect to WiFi. Once those two problems are taken care of I will gladly change my ratings!

Don’t waste your time!!!. I have another podcast that I years that I’ve left the one I’ve had for years. I wanted to try something that had more ways for me to communicate with other people so this seemed to like the perfect app! Used it for the first two days it absolutely loved it until I recorded a 30 minute segment someone called me and it’s basically stopped my segment I try to go in and edit basically re start the recording and somehow it got deleted whenever I went back to check it. I’m not a fan because it does not pause your segments if someone calls you or anything like that so if you’re in the middle of the segment and someone calls you or you get some type of notification or anything it will stop and asked to be published Therefore you’re not able to restart it so it’s a waste of time. You’re just gonna have to basically restart your whole show. That just made me delete the app. I have so many calls coming in a day so I really look for a app that will pause so I can just restart my segment you cannot do this on here I’m so heated I wasted my time....

Not a fan of the new set-up. I recently updated the app and was excited to get something new to explore. However, I am not a fan of the app’s use of background music. While I like the more options... there are too many and you can not here the background choices in a simple fashion of sliding through like before. Once you select a background tone you must select from list and go back to listen. If it is not to your liking you have to start over. I was just as hard to explain as it is to use it. I hope they go back to the old way of selecting background tones. Especially with my 100th episode approaching! #Station11:11

Way More Function and Production Quality Than Expected. I’ve transitioned my podcast production to purely using Anchor. Every tool I need is accessible on my smartphone. The only thing I’ve added was a condenser mic made for my iPhone. Right out the gate, people were commenting on how professional my podcast episodes sound. Now I just need to focus on creating meaningful content, and anchor pretty much does the rest. It’s like life- what you out into your Anchor produced podcast, is what you get from it. So don’t be lazy, and used the awesome tools using the anchor app. There now now excuse for a poorly produced podcast, because these folks give you the tools to create magic. Use this app and platform. You’ll be amazed how your creativity in format is fully supported by the podcast production tools they provide for us. And still, this app and desktop platform is absolutely free. I can’t say enough good about Anchor and their entire team of developers and customer service staff. These people really care about providing quality, so if your podcast sounds like crap, than it’s most likely your lack of structure and planning; because Anchor has made it easy for everyone. There’s just no excuse to have a bad sounding and poorly organized episode. Except for the actual person making the podcast. This platform and app rocks!!!

WoW........JusT..........WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-). What an amazing, wonderful creative idea. You are all are so awesome for this. For doing this and having a medium like this. I can’t believe that you have created a way for my voice tolive on. No matter what I do I will be able to yell at my kids or tell my husband how much I love or loved him. No matter what. I will live on forever. And for you to offer it free😳. What a wonderful gem you are😍. If you have the honor of reading this, pat your self on the back. Then pat two more people that work beside you. Tell them Great Job. encourage them to pass it on to three other people. And when the compliment or words of affirmation come back to you, you will know how I feel right now. Spread the Love, Spread the Word, Spread the Voices.

Cool idea getting in it's own way. Such a great idea, small intractable content that's fast to produce and easy to consume. Love the idea. The interface though is just functionally awful. I can never for the life of me find the programs I'm actually subscribed to because the predominant listings are always the apps own productions (or at least the productions they overtly back, like these weird general round-up style programs I have zero interest in). I would love it if the app prioritized the content of the people I actually try to follow, I'm sure as content producers these programs are taking a listenership hit just from this interface alone and that's super frustrating and annoying. Finishing my shows automatically starts a show promoted by the app that I have no interest in whatsoever. This is a disincentive from frequenting the app and also from ever generating my own content. Such an easy fix though. Hope something changes.

So easy to use!. I have a lot on my mind so I thought, well why don’t I start a podcast so I can share my thought process and voice my opinions. I was introduced to this app and it is amazing! Here’s why: The layout is simple to understand. You want to start recording a podcast from your phone, you have the option right in front of you. The app walks you through registration of your podcast to all major podcast stations, helps you add music and trim your audio, and really just does everything from you. I am BRAND NEW to podcasting so I didn’t want to spend time thinking about what I need to learn to get a podcast going and this app simply does almost everything for you. So far, I love it!

Lack of notifications. Let me just say I do love anchor and what has done to my podcast and helped me do what I’m doing, been with them since I was only able to do 5 min episodes. But for several weeks now there has been constant updates I would say or crashes on the site and app, in which has been messing with my releases of my episodes. I got an email back saying there was an update going on in which I was unaware, but then it happened again and then the following week again and as I’m writing this review it just happened again. I don’t mind the update but it would be nice to let us know when it will happened so I can plan in advance to release the episode or schedule it in time instead of just not being to be able to do either. This has interrupted my consistency of my release dates in which I was force to choose other days but it happened to me again today. I’m only writing this review because with this pandemic I don’t get an answer until like two days later, I would appreciate at least a little knowledge on this part. Besides that anchor has most definitely exceeded my expectations on my podcast so I hope this will keep on going. Thank you

Awesome but needs tweaking!. My nephew and I made a podcast with your app called Word_Exchange!, we love the app but we found a few inconveniences along the way. First off, THE VOLUME - we use the music you give us but we have no way to turn it down which ends up being kinda loud when people are trying to hear us. Secondly, THE MONEY - we did an ad for you on our podcast and still haven’t been compensated as promised, you should contact us and tell us if we did something wrong or we’ll contact you, either way getting paid is essential for us to make our podcast even better so more on that later. Lastly, THE TOOLS - the tools you give us are not as good as we thought they were gonna be, this includes volume, add ways to cut audio in a more advanced way, add more tools and effects to help podcasters achieve full potential. please I’m begging you, your app is revolutionary but needs some work, listen to the people and you’ll find that your success will reach greater heights, love ya and keep up the good work! Sincerely, Will from Word_Exchange!

Great app. Needs an Update.. This app is great. The downfalls are that it kicks us out & it deletes a draft. There should be a deleted section. That way you can put back audio already deleted. We should be able to add music to recordings because the system doesn’t to allow you to add music after you’ve recorded it. It doesn’t sound clear at times. This app needs to be UPDATED. Also, users can be able to add access to reference in new episodes. Just to be able to find the material. The app does not allow you to have a easy way of accessing a bigger public audio for you to find where your podcast is going and if it’s building. We should be able to have more control on our work & publish it where we want. Also, TRACK IT. Where are these podcasts going???????? PLEASE FIX THESE ISSUES.

I love Anchor! (Some things that could make it better). I recently started a podcast called The ANJU Podcast. Sometimes me and my friend can’t always meet up to record an episode, so I love the record with friends feature. The problem I have with the record feature is that there is no pause button. I get you can stop recording and just pick up recording again and just add the two recordings into one episode in the editor, but it would be a great feature to have to be able to pause the recordings and play them again. It would make podcasting a whole lot easier. Overall, this is a great app for podcasting! The pause button while recording by yourself and recording with friends would make an instant five star from me. I look forward to more updates! -Justin

Anchors Away. So I wanted to say a little something about the application for the Anchor broadcast and so far I’m finding this to be very helpful and easy to use. I was always worried about doing a podcast because I thought I was going to have to go buy expensive microphones and headphones and apps for my computer and set all that stuff up with the speakers and wires and all that stuff but… I’m finding with Anchor I don’t have to do all that I can just do it right through my smart phone. And that makes it very attractive since just about everybody has a smart phone that they can download the app to and use this application so easily. So if you been looking for a while or thinking about doing a podcast I highly recommend using Anchor. You can be up and running literally in five minutes. So don’t wait do it today.

Great idea - Selfish execution. The fundamental of the app is such a phenomenal idea. One place to record your podcast that covers distribution. I’ll admit I’ve been on the edge of starting a podcast for some time now, and hearing Gary Vee talk about this app is what inspired the download and the start of my podcast. However, and this is a massive however. I can not stand the fact that Anchor feels that they can just brand themselves all over my content. Anchor has no right to play their advertisements over my content on iTunes, or brand themselves on my Facebook posts. The content and education that I’ve spent my life building doesn’t belong to anchor, and if your creating an app as a solution for some gaps in the market space that’s fine, but don’t try to claim that your app the reason why people are able to have a podcast. I’ve just uploaded my last episode through anchor and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone because of this branding issue.

Truly love this app and opportunity it provides. This app has given myself and several friends a great opportunity to create and distribute a music podcast that is now being simulcast on radio stations because of the popularity in the community we create this for. Music community has embraced it and we are proud. Would love to be a featured show and get more sponsors, which we mix between ones matched by anchor to us along with ones we sell directly to bands. If this cost money to do or get a bunch of equipment we would not have been able to get this going, possibilities are now showing up we would not have had to better our futures without it.

Great app. Update: I’ve now been using this app for over a year and I have some things to add. First, if you’re looking for a quality editing program, this isn’t the app for that. I use another app for editing and then export it back into Anchor, which works out wonderfully. This app is more to get you started, and it is especially good if you are new to podcasting. But I have one small thing that could be better. I love that you added a community feature to the app, so we can ask our listeners questions, but I have to tap on every. Single. Episode. To know which ones have Q&A responses! Yes, it also sends you an email, but it would be so much easier if there was a banner that popped up when you opened the app that told you which episodes have responses. Or at least, when you are scrolling through the episodes, have a little red dot or something next to the episodes that have feed back. Ok now on to my cringey review from over a year ago. *** This app rocks! I am a kid and I use out for my warrior cats podcast, The Moonpool. It has everything you need: background music, interludes, the option to record with friends, an easy-to-use setup, editing tools, monetization, and it’s free. It’s a huge plus that you don’t have to pay for it either. It doesn’t even have a premium version.

Editing on app isn't what you think... I love this a lot from recording and laying out the segments. The UI is friendly and makes everything easy to record plus the part where people can leave me voicemails, I want to love it more, but at the point I start editing 20 to 30 min segments on the app itself because I want to work on my podcast all in one app. My issue here is that when I edit where I cut and trim out parts, I feel that it over cuts some parts of the recording. I was mostly removing a lot of "uhhs and umms", also some pauses where we were just taking a breather and the audio was silent. Once I've hit saved, it does take some time to process, once it's done...I would listen and not only just my cuts were made... additional cut offs happen into my conversations. So, when I've listened to hear out my cuts were made, either some of my sentences were cut and placed to somewhere else. Idk what's going on

Record with friend sync issue - needs fixing!. Overall a great app and very easy to use. However I have one big problem with it: the Record with Friends feature does not work properly. My most recent recording had a significant lag between the different speakers, making them talk over one another. Because the voices are not saved as separate tracks, there is no way to fix it. I reached out to customer support but have not heard anything about it. Based on an internet search, people were reporting this issue a year ago, so it really surprised me that there hasn’t been a fix yet. This makes remote interviews completely unworkable with Anchor, so I am having to turn to third party apps and services to do this. If this were fixed I would absolutely give Anchor 5 stars.

Interview issues.... I want to give this app five stars but I’m torn... it had me very excited about the potential of recording interviews over the phone. (And I’m sure it’s great for anchor that anyone I would interview would have to download the app as well) first time using it I was underwhelmed. My own voice comes in very low versus that of the person I’m interviewing, but that can be fixed in an edit. My biggest issue though is I did not know there was a time limit!? I felt horribly unprofessional as I had to “call back” the person I was interviewing three times because of being kicked off after about 6 or 7 minutes?? So it can be a cool app for recording, but I don’t know if I’ll be switching to anchor for my show over what I’ve been doing the last few years.

Great in general, HORRIBLY EXECUTED MISSING feature.. This app in general has a great interface and is intuitive to use. However the developers are missing a CRUCIAL OVERSIGHT, which is record with friends. Why do I need to initiate ONLY on the app and invite my friends? Why can’t we do this exclusively through the web browser or app on PC and Mac?! We both have studio grade microphones and now only one of us can use it, because the other is forced to use abysmal phone mic audio. Not to mention the process of inviting a friend seems to only connect with luck and hope. We tried multiple times to connect, at least 10 times and only 2 of them were actually successful, but then one disconnected itself, despite strong internet on both sides of connection. REALLY dissatisfied with how the app handles podcasting with a friend. It’s utterly absurd how difficult and compromising it is to do something as simple as record a podcast with a friend online.

Anchor is fantastic, but fix playback. I’ve been using Anchor since it’s early release and I have to say I really love it. Recording from my phone while I travel in a zoom iq7 and doing edits once I’m in the hotel room is fantastic. The library edition and the ability to trim audio clips was a needed edition and works for those quick edits. Let’s not forget the ability to call into shows. This feature helps drive content and interaction on many podcasts using Anchor. Fantastic part of the platform. Most of all set up is a breeze and getting the ok through so many different platforms was a breeze. Plus Anchor has ads you get paid for and you record your own! MISSING STAR Some may wonder, “Why the missing Star.” Well there have been some changes that are very troublesome. One is the wya I record and the other is playback. I will say I miss the ability to pause recording when in mid thought or if I need to look something up and don’t want audio noise in the background. Also playback just hangs every time I use it on Anchor. While I know I can download and listen I like being able to call in during an EP if I have something I want to contribute and with playback gaming every single time I use the app, it’s really not something I can do.

Very happy. I think this is a very ambitious app that’s making podcasting more accessible to pretty much anybody and i love when things are made available to anyone. One thing i wish was in the app is a fast forward feature or at least the ability leave the app and come back to it later with the podcast you were listening to in the same spot. I’ve been listening to a podcast whenever i drive around but after i get out of my car and live my daily life i come back to the app and it’s pretty much reset, i usually just put it in the fastest playback speed and just tap the forward button like 200 times but if i was just able to slide to the spot i was at would be amazing

Never been easier to create podcast. I have had a podcast now since this feature came out and it was so easy that I tell everyone about it. I have had nearly 10,000 podcast listeners / downloads since launching. Having a podcast opens doors and anchor made that so easy to have a podcast that it almost feels like I cheated compared to all my friends who had to go through so much pain to get their podcast launched. CONS: 1. For a while you had no options to remove the anchor promo at the end of every podcast. I think they have enough users now to give you the option of removing it. 2. For a while they stamped their logo on top of your logo. I think you can opt out of this now as well. 3. It still says “Andy Proctor / Anchor” as the author of the podcast. 4. It no longer pauses when you lift the phone from your ear which is inconvenient when you have to burp or sneeze or pause. You just have to name your segment. Not good for people who are on the fly. It will be nice to get to the point where we can just pay to have all the anchor branding removed because the software is awesome and it makes it super easy and makes it fun to interact with people on anchor as well. This is what I love about it most currently.

Find another app to use. I started on this app spring 2018. Admires the app from day one. But then anchor started “updating”. Wow this app is super unstable. Anchor has an extremely slow support system in place. You can ask for help and literally it will take about 7-9 days to get a response that doesn’t help you. I’ve been in the Facebook group and have asked questions and brought attention to the ridiculously slow support department. Yes anchor kicked me out of the group. Hey you asked for honesty. I recommend NOT using the app. Or just go to Speaker app. Inside the anchor app after you record your show. The app would/will upload it 15-25 times unless you reset the app. If you are going to use this app. I strongly advice you record you entire show. Then upload the show in anchor via desktop. NOT cell phone. If you need help or technical support. Ask people that use the app NOT ANCHOR. Anchor will blow you off literally.

Great app!. I honestly love anchor! It’s so easy to use, and I love how you can create podcasts with friends. But, there’s just one issue. I think that the record with friends feature could use a bit of work. Here’s why I say that. I tried to have a friend on my podcast earlier today, and every time I tried to send her a new link, she was unable to join the podcast. We tested it out on her podcast, and I was able to join, but unfortunately, she was unable to join my podcast. So, that’s where I think the record with friends feature needs a bit of work. Otherwise, anchor is an amazing app, just not very accessible when it comes to the record with friends. As much as I hate to say this, I think part of the problem is thatBoth my friend and I are blind, so we have to use VoiceOver, and the record with friends feature just does not seem to be very accessible for some of us who have to use voice over on a daily basis. Love the app so.

Can’t Hear with Record With Friends Option. If you want to record your podcast solo, it’s 5 stars, but if you have a show that requires a guest or multiple hosts, forget it. Record with Friends has always posed some type of an issue (albeit it was minimal and quickly resolved at first) but within the last month, the host can’t hear the invited guests at all. Although you hear the great “elevator” music and the alert sound that there’s a connection, but once connected you can not hear the actual person. Nothing helps; not using a speaker, not headphones, not rebooting the app, nor contacting support as they have no clue what the issue is and have no timeline for resolution. The platform would be amazing if it actually worked as advertised.

Wow! Is this really free!. All I can say is wow! I have been trying a number of the paid Podcast recording services and apps and none of them work as efficiently and flawlessly as this one. I tried Podcastle and it completely screwed up 15 minutes of my audio so now I have to find a way to re-create it or re-do that part. I also tried squadcastle and that user interface is so confusing that I feel like I need a tech degree just to get around the page. This app is so minimalist and easy to use that it almost seems too good to be true. But when I couldn’t get one of those other recording services to work, I resorted to this as a last ditch effort. Man was I pleasantly surprised! The audio came out very well balanced with very minimal background noise, even before I made any adjustments. this will be my app of choice from now on

Love The Concept But Needs…. The concept of anchor and its distribution capabilities is amazing but give us a way to go live! All the new apples are doing it, and these apps allow comments from listers in real time. Having live shows means lister s will be more apt to tune in, join the show, and then come back for more. We could all benefit from this. Anchor could have in-app ads with also a pro version. Apps with live human interaction are changing the wave and those not able to keep up will be left behind. Overall, anchor is my go-to. I saw an old rating from 3 years back that stated anchor places their ads on the user’s iTunes and social media posts. Is that still the case anchor? Since I usually listen through the anchor app, I simply don’t know if anything has changed. Thanks!

WIL BEIYUR HOSTMASTER... “ OFF SCRIPT” Is my for fun persona. Off SCRIPT, transparent, and open? This is my first post. No reason to TOUT Anchor.... JUST THAT, while I was buzzing in my head about how to INSPIRE AMERICA..... Aren’t you tired of speaking from the heart in text? Revealing facts about yourself that you wouldn’t want people to know? “Like the fact that you don’t know punctuation.? “ .. Or maybe you can’t speak your clear thoughts because; The words are beyond your own comprehension. We all see those images in our head. I believe that if this works, (ANCHOR), at least I’m inspired to create something that can be seen by others. PARLOR gave me a voice outside of Facebook and the fear of being bannned. It, PARLER, just like ANCHOR, are creating what’s needed to grow. Made me personally responsible for myself. I believe that ANCHOR is another tool in our war chest against losing our country. Whether its Politics, The Republicans or the Democrats. We are the American citizens. Big tech and big media cannot influence our minds. We must use it wisely or get off of it. THANK YOU ANCHOR, we will see where it goes.

Podcast For Beginners. This has been very interesting and educational on various aspects and for beginners it answers many questions and gives a lot of knowledge on how to pursue in starting building and creating in how to implement creative aspects in producing a successful podcast. I thank those involved for taking time to make it simple and for all the creative aspects that can be utilized and many thought provoking concepts to make your podcast real and applicable to what your goal and purpose for your listening audience. Thanks again for thinking it through from the initial beginning to a full fledged experience of excellence for the podcast person or persons as you make your vision a reality.

Amazing for it being Free!. I have been using this app for about a month now and it has been excellent. If you are starting out as a Podcaster this is the app for you! It’s simple and very straight forward. If you have been podcasting for a while and know what you are doing, then don’t even try it. This apps focus is getting your episodes out there and managing them. The editor is a side thing that is obviously not invested in or looking into developing much by their team. Which I would say is good because it allows the editing to be done by the user and not the app. As a creator, I always say “if you create something then flipping create it! Don’t half-app it and make someone else do it.” All in all, great for a solid podcast distributer.

Is it really this bad?. I’m a bit dumbfounded. You have to hold down on the record button to record, and as soon as you let go with your thumb, it stops recording and go straight to a published now page. It does not allow you to add on to that recording. Another way you can record is by putting the phone up to your ear. Once again when you pull the phone down it starts recording starts trying to publish that podcast. Let’s hope you don’t have to scratch your nose or something. This app sounds so compelling with its meet up with other people with similar interest in the group or joint podcast, but these fundamental basic user issues are beyond my ability to comprehend. I’m sure it’s there somewhere, but I couldn’t even find a delete button to delete my first random scratch audio take. Is there any other app in the world where you have to physically be touching the record button on the screen for it to record? Am I missing something? With the rating of over four stars I’m just really confused.

Torn but this app is glitchy and looses recordings constantly. On one hand, I’m highly appreciative of this app. We have recorded approximately 15 one hour long episodes. I wouldn’t have even had the idea had I not heard of this app. Unfortunately, the app has crashed on at least 10 different occasions requiring us to re-record an entire episode. Sometimes this has happen almost an hour into an episode (near the end). We have also had issues with shorter segments not saving or becoming corrupted when they save. Trying to use another app to record audio doesn’t help, the app fails to upload imported audio. The desktop version of the app is even more glitchy and even when using a nice microphone seems to record horrible audio. We found just using the iPhone to record resulted in better audio quality. Things like receiving a phone call during recording can destroy a recording. Turning on do not disturb and turning off the screen shutting off automatically are workarounds we have pursued, but even they don’t guarantee an outcome. It’s been really frustrating to loose so much of our recordings and time when each episode we record is special and requires a significant emotional investment and a ton of vulnerability.

Great way to make a podcast. I love using Anchor and I love what they do for you as far as distributing and monetizing your podcast. I’d like to have more sponsors for voiceovers and allowed to make more money from making the podcast itself. It is very little money at all that’s being made if barely any with all the views, it doesn’t add up and I think there is more to make if it’s being allowed to happen. There are plenty of sponsors out there and I am grateful for those that I’ve had. I’m also grateful for the opportunity I took to make my podcast and all the extra work that Anchor has placed into my link and publishing/distributing my podcasts, so thank you and I appreciate you! Don’t forget you’re awesome! 👍🎧🎤🎬

Love Anchor!. Anchor is amazing, I love it! It’s got heaps of songs and ways to record your podcast, I got it like a week ago and it’s already showing me these different parts and how to make an intro and all this crazy awesome stuff! I recommend you get Anchor!! Love it!!

Purpose Poetry Podcast. Anchor has been nothing short of amazing for my fledging new poetry podcast, a simple user friendly yet super effective platform Thank you so much, you’ve given me the freedom to express and share my creative writing

User friendly. I shared a message some loved it and they said why don’t you podcast. I looked around and I found an easy user friendly app endorsed by apple.

Plenty of gratitude. Tonight is my first experience with recording a podcast and I’m surprised at how unintimidating your app has made it. I’d likely have given up by now if I had to navigate this stuff on my own.

Hmm. Great app and can’t wait to start recording myself! Have you consider being able to let us skip through the recording when listening back. Also a time stamp to know how long it is? Can’t do either of these basic things which seems like it should be able too

Thank you!. Thanks for setting this up Dualta, I really enjoy listening to it; You’re adding value to this industry and love your interview style.

Very Good. Have been using Anchor for a few months to host my church messages and have found Anchor very good in providing all that I need and more. 5 stars.

Amazing!!!. What an amazing app! Works perfectly and you don’t have to pay anything, which is the best part. Take your time to record your own podcast and relax never a hustle! Great app works amazing! !

We’d be lost without it. Love how it posts to all platforms fast and with podcast cover art. It’s slow for the first week or two but then it’s almost instant. We love it. Thelaurahornartpodcast

So far so good, apart from payments. Been using it for the past few weeks, it’s good I just wish they allowed Monetization payments to other places outside the US, (I’m in Australia) because it’s really hard to open a US Bank Account to get payed.

Fantastic! But lacking.. I have just started using the app recently to listen to podcasts by other creators, the UI is quite interesting and vibrant, however it is lacking in a few common essentials. When listening to podcasts there is no time stamp to tell the listener what part of the podcast they are up to, however it does clearly display the total time of the podcast before opening it. So I see no reason as to why there can’t be a time stamp? Another issue, after leaving the app and going back into it after a brief period of time, it will reset and does not remember the last place the listener was at in the podcast. This can be quite infuriating as the listen does not know where they were and has to listen to sections of the clip in order to figure out the correct place. Furthermore, the inability to skip large amounts of time makes this process even more difficult; listener can only skip in intervals of 15 seconds. If the listener tries to skip rapidly, the app will stop responding and relaunch. To summarize, Anchor is a great app with lots of potential in the podcasting industry, but the UI is its biggest downfall. Until some changes have been made, I and likely most other listeners, will use alternative programs.

I love this. I had to make a podcast for a school project, and with this app I got an A, it is so amazing, and I suggest you get it! Your able to make your own pod cast for completely FREE!! Amazing! :)

Messaging feature is great. I love being able to pause and leave messages throughout the podcast I’m listening to. It’s an awesome feature.

Potential. The potential here is not difficult to see and for a long time I was searching for an app like Anchor. However, it seems far too focused on the creation of the user’s podcast rather than holding a balance between users and listeners. Granted I am no technical expert, but as a consumer I would love to see if the search bar had filters for recent releases within the given topic searched as well as the categories like society and culture to narrow down the scope. It is all good and well creating a platform for people to express creativity and share however it falls short when the audience can’t find anything in the search bar but abandoned podcasts. Another wonderful idea would to perhaps attempt a more community based platform within the discover page to showcase the newer podcasts that have been created. A larger community presence supported by the creators or supervisors of the content would I believe boost the ratings and the exposure of this app greatly. As I have said before, this app has grand potential and shouldn’t settle for less. I cannot wait to see where it goes and what improvements will be made. Thank you.

It is so handy. I have been looking for a podcast maker and I found it. Very awesome! All ya gotta do is record ya voice, add some music if you want and add the name and desc and pic and done! It is everywhere!

Amazing app. Fellow podcast host here. Love the app. Simple, intuitive and responsive. I run a podcast with a friend over discord and we record it from the podcasters app. The simplicity of being able to connect from our laptops from the phone is simply a life saver. If anyone reading this review wants to find the podcast search up World Wide Wit Podcast.

Amazing concept, but the app needs work. I absolutely love the concept of Anchor. There’s no doubt in my mind that this will be a successful product. But the app is extremely unstable. I recorded an episode twice this morning and lost both while adding music effects to crashing.

Please fix. I have anchor on my iPad and I have a podcast with the app on my iPad and I need to make a episode and It is not letting me in to the app but I like the app but it’s not letting me in please fix it

Great. I've been podcasting for over 2 years with anchor, amazing. The editing tools are simple so is importing and exporting audio. It has helped build my audience. (Check out Warrior cats, art & the world) thanks

It’s awesome. It is so great although for some reason on my iPhone, when I go on the app and click the three dots at the top right corner, it doesn’t do anything, it acts like I didn’t click it, which means I can’t do anything to the settings on the app, or log out, or anything. Maybe that’s a bug so I am waiting for the next update on the app

Great App. I haven't tried to make a podcast but I really like the UI of the app so I will be trying it straight away as soon as I can

Feedback. I would love to see better analytics on anchor and receive more feed back. Good or bad . You pour your soul into an episode and then it floats into the void and all you get are the number of listens . I love the countries listening aspect though as a plus . Rich Australia 🇦🇺 😎

Lacking in Key Areas.... Anchor is definitely a five-star experience in most of the app/website, but some areas are lacking. The UX can be a bit confusing — especially on web — when trying to edit one’s already published episodes. Plus, when writing episode descriptions, it’s impossible to add a line break in the app, so you have to copy/paste in a pre-written description and hope it’s under the limit or go to the desktop site. Definitely needs improvement! The other area for improvement is monetisation features. They’re already available in the US; why not other countries? These can be easily fixed, though, and I know they will!

Anchor set up. I have been searching and search for away to start my podcast 12 month later I came across anchor. Easy to follow, set up and shoot my first podcast. The Anchor crew was right on time. Thank you

Can’t use app without signing in :-(. How am I supposed to establish the value of this app if I can’t view anything (other than a sign in page) without first creating an account. I am just sick of apps that do this. So many apps where I have been through this process turn out to be unsuitable. And yep, they have my email address, and I get unwanted emails. How about being able to use this app without having to create an account? And why is a login required in the first place? There is no explanation on the login page. This might well be a great app, but seriously - if you need my login before I can actually see of I like it ... well, that’s just bad practice.

Dumb. This was a GREAT gift, but it does not let you pick your own profile picture, even when you have edited your own picture, it lacks the sense to show it. Rip off.

Thanks so much!. I just downloaded this for iPad, and the interface is super nice, I love it! I'd like to suggest a couple of extra features, like audio overlay if you want to play music in the background of podcasts. It'd also be cool if you could have multiple podcasts under one account, so you could test out things.

Fantastic!. Really simple yet professional at the same time. Only limited by the users abilities. One gripe i have is that the generic intermissions are louder than the recording. Need a feature to allow us to change the volume of the intermissions or a way to normalize the audio in each episode as a whole. Very small gripe, still a fantastic app!

YESSSSSSS BEST APP EVER. To anyone who has ever wanted to start a podcast: get anchor!! It makes having and recording a podcast fun, easy and good quality! Some things I NEED fixed: -you can upload video podcasts from the app, not the website! -notifications for new comments are visible from outside the episode -the app keeps crashing, and I can’t access it. Can you help? Anyway, except for these, Anchor is awesome and I definitely recommend it!

Need’s Autosave. The app’s great, I really like how easy it is to edit your episodes. There’s only one thing that annoys me. NO AUTOSAVE. I refresh the page and my last 2 hours of work is gone, and its so annoying, please just save as I go, it would be so much better.

AMAZING. I love the app, when I first got it I couldn’t wait to start recording with my bestie, we’re about to launch our first episode and we couldn’t be happier

Enjoying it. Incredibly useful app but with a few glitches.. This is a very useful app for content creators and network professionals. I just started playing with it and enjoying it so far. There is a need of few more important features such as improvement in branding, stability issues, and more choices as far as channels are concerned. The UI is not suitable for hardcore professionals with claps and sounds. It’s more for teenagers at this point of time. If it has to compete with Apple podcast in any way, you have to think about your target audience and users/creators before taking any decision, aesthetically and strategically.

Needs a fix. Been recording podcast on here for nearly a year now but recently their have been some issues, when sent a request to join a recording it can’t be done through the app it was no problem before but now has to be done through copying a link and doing it through a web browser, the recording from two different now overlaps making it a complete mess was not a problem before recording was fine a couple months ago seems to have occurred only in the last month or so

Awesome useful for making podcasts. 5 stars immediately I love this perfect in every way! The first app I used that was anko I could not understand it. And I discovered anchor and installed it and bam! Podcast yes ma’am! I highly recommend anchor dude!

Great fee app for a podcast. Love is the simplest app ever watched a video is plug and play almost live recordings does everything for you nothing complex and everything you use is free.

It is a good app. It is an amazing app but could you add a voice changer feature in it for some people who want to go anonymously because they are worried about their friends or family even or anyone, and how it might embarrass them later in the future. Thanks, An amazing app though still. Not bad, no ads, would recommend.

The Impact. Really great way to share the positive vibes and help others on such an easy app to run your own podcast station.

Easy to use. Easy to use. All the tools a beginner would need. I like the automatic posting tool the podcast platforms with the salt. Highly recommended

Anchor. I think this is great the only thing I don’t like is if you add music their is a pause but besides that I think it’s good

Great! Just 2 things. When will we be able to create more than one podcast? I would like to run spin off podcasts and different at the same time… Also, when will we be able to record locally on to the phone of a guest? if this app had the ability to record locally onto the guest phone and then edit both of the tracks in a dual track editor, it would be incredible.

Lacks some vital features. Having just started using this app, I would highly recommend people create their podcast in GarageBand then transfer across. If you don’t use the music from anchor it is impossible to change the volume of music you have created yourself and I found my music drowned out my voice. There just aren’t enough options to trailer music to my needs. The uploading and sharing function seems excellent though.

Too easy!. Within 2 hours I have downloaded the anchor app, recorded my first podcast, created the details and uploaded to play!! Very impressed guys!!

Fade in and out. All songs, video ice and transitions should be fade in and fade out optional. Each split audio just jitters and in reality if we were to listen to a professional podcast or radio, voice and music always fade in and out of each other. Ie voice can fade out as the music starts and vice verse to have a clean intro and outro

Read. So I just went to make an episode of my podcast I go into the app and it says it’s updating a couple of things when I updated the app five days ago but 1 pm whatever time it said is 1 am where I am and I’m not gonna be home tomorrow to make an episode on both devices that I have it on both say the same thing But I do you like this up

Fantastic app!. Super easy to use, great features, good customer service, a lot more than I’d expect from a free app. I’ve been using it for over 2 years and couldn’t be happier.

Anchor review. Anchor is easy, and effective to use. Great platform I used to start making podcasts and found the dashboard and widgets incredibly straightforward. Great that your material and recordings are shared across multiple platforms too! Stoked with Anchor

Love it!. This app allowed me to start my own podcast without fuss. It’s easy to use and the distribution range is great! Love the app, just wish it had better editing features. Overall, this service is amazing!

Just starting but.... Loving the app, been talking to my best mate about doing a podcast for ages and we've been looking for a platform to do it on and Anchor has opened up a new world of creativity for us especially because we live hours away. A feature that I really want to see is joint collaboration in terms of editing. I currently host the show on my account, I'd love to be able to give him access to it as well so we both can edit and have full access to the podcast.

Phenomenal!. Anchor is amazing, it is great for my 2 podcasts and my friends as well, but the mic quality isn’t the best, I don’t know if that’s just my device or it’s the app, anyway, here’s my podcasts! • Sharp’s Game Time (Interviewing Gamers) • Hello Terrarians (Terraria history and items) My friends have • Skellos Talk Session (Everything Gaming And Computer’s!) Please Follow All those podcasts and show your friends!

Functional. Great app. I like the interactive applause!👏 A minor issue: when I exit temporarily while listening - for example a timer sounds - the app freezes.

Great Podcasting platform. Especially that Spotify owns it now ! I already uploaded 10 of my episodes No bugs ! No issues ! Amazing tool

It’s awesome. I have a podcast with tons of episodes

I want to like it. Can’t edit descriptions of episodes

AMAZINGLY AMAZING!!. This app is 😎 SO GOOD!! You can even make your own Podcast!!

Best app ever hands down. Since I came across this app I have deleted all other apps comparison to this one. It’s the best if you are into podcasting etc. love love love it! I don’t normally write reviews just can’t be bothered but this app is worth my energy

Gracias. Hermosa herramienta gracias por darnos la oportunidad de usarla.

Awesome. So far so good this app

I was never able to verify my email. I installed the app and send the verification email. Then, I clicked on the link and the website is not able to confirm my email. Tried several times, same result. So I tried to contact Anchor’s company but there is no email on their website. I then decided to delete their app.

Great if it wasn’t for that License Grant. App would be great if you didn’t have to hand over the keys to your intellectual property when using the app. It would be nice to see apps like this that are purportedly for creators come out with ethical treatment for those same creators. There’s always the same excuse: “We have to have that in the contract, but we’ll never use it”. If you’ll never use it, you don’t need it in the contract.

Love. I love it

Gracias. 💕11

Anchor to the rescue. Anchor has made it very easy to get guests and record!

5 stars. So easy to use!

Cuts off recordings right in the middle. Cuts off recordings right in the middle and then posts them as podcasts and God only knows how to delete the shoddy half-recorded podcast. Also doesn’t tell you where else besides this app that the podcast is being posted so you have no control over it. Deleting a podcast and deleting my station were both impossible to discover how to do.

First time Podcaster I wouldn’t use any other platform. I was recommended to nchor by a friend of mine, who launched his first podcast three months ago, and so far I am at 15 episodes. It has been for me the easiest process, and I am continually getting very favourable feedback on all of my content.

Love it for the most part. Anchor is a great app that I love, because it makes podcasting easy, fun and simple. My only thing is I wish there was a way to recover deleted episodes (I accidentally deleted one of mine and had to completely reconstruct it) also if you could add a setting to lower or raise the volume of the music and interludes I think it would improve they app

Group. I like using anchor but it would be better if when a friend leaves it doesn’t end the recording

Great, but missing monetization in Canada. This is a great app, super easy to create and distribute my podcasts especially to my preferred platform of choice which is Spotify, and I have been using now for just shy of a year. The thing that really is disappointing is that you can’t monetize in Canada; you have the option to add in an Ad, but this ad is only promoting Anchor and you can’t even cash out on the money you generate from that… makes really difficult to give the app a higher rating from an honest standpoint. It’s very unfortunate, because I have to out-source sponsorships and ads from affiliate programs and cannot track this from within the app itself or view my platforms. Why isn’t it monetized in Canada? Clearly this is a highly discussed issue that myself and many others are experiencing and the market is more than big enough to support monetization… I know very many Canadian podcasts that perform well and better than some American founded podcasts. Why is Canada always second class to these kinds of things? Makes it incredibly frustrating. Monetization in Canada will more than produce results and surely help Anchor. Please consider monetization in Canada. This is a big issue, and is being felt by many people.

# 31 Leadership Secrets of Jesus.. Jesus knew when you want something you have never had, you have to do something you have never done.

Rylie. This app is great works good audios good my only problem is the songs. You say you can play the entire track but in reality you can play about 30 seconds which ruins the entire purpose of having it in the first place. If you could fix this that would be amazing and this app would truly be a 5 star

Trying something new. I’m totally into anchor and how easy it has made it for me to connect to so many people and get a message across through audio. Anchor is the reason why I’m pursuing my podcast!

This is the sign you’ve been waiting for…. Listen, if you’ve been psyching yourself up to create a podcast but you haven’t because you feel self conscious or maybe that you don’t have the right equipment, or maybe the dog ate your homework blah blah blah… This is the sign you’ve been waiting for from the universe. Go for it. Make your pod. Anchor makes it SO easy and fun to create a good SOUNDING podcast that’s easy to record, edit and distribute- ALL FROM YOUR PHONE!! What more do you want? I finally took the plunge and got my podcast off the ground and it’s literally been the highlight of my 2022. As a matter of fact- go listen to my podcast now. It’s called The League of Evil Moms. And while you’re there- you may as well subscribe, rate and review it (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) Then IMMEDIATELY go make the pod you’ve been dreaming off. You bring the idea and Anchor takes care of the rest. What more you want?! Good luck! And thanks, Anchor!

Anchor 3.0. 3.0 has some great new features, including: Drafts, Rearranging/Adding to Episodes, Favourite Counter ect. (all features I’ve been wanting to see added to the app for a long time.) But it’s mainly the features that have been changed or removed that really put a huge damper on this update. For example: Echoes, Discussions, Shoutouts, Call-In Trim Feature & The User Leaderboard are all gone! You can no longer post segments that will expire within 24 hrs, you’re forced to instantly put all of your segments into an episode. My applause count has been decreased by about 3K claps for some reason. You can no longer see who applauded on each of your segments, only if they applauded the entire episode. On and on I could go. There needs to be another update very soon that will change these things back to how they were. I’m not the only one. Many people are against some of these changes as well. Anchor 2.0 was great for both hardcore podcasters & people like me, who just really enjoy Anchoring as a hobby. But 3.0 seems to cater to the big, professional podcasters. Please consider my feedback, thank-you!

Trauma. This podcast has potential considering it was her first time.

Anchor. I enjoy using this app but you should make it where Canadians can also cash out their funds.

So user friendly. I started my first podcast 3 days ago. Anchor makes it so easy! Absolutely love it and how it shares across other platforms

I like anchor except one change they made…. I decided to create a podcast again using Anchor because it is honestly the best podcast creating platform out there. The only downside is that they changed something which is a bit inconvenient and a bit of a nuisance: when publishing your podcast Anchor would do the work of submitting your podcast episode for approval to other podcast networks or platforms like Apple podcasts or Google podcasts for example. Now you have to go through the hassle of visiting each platform, then creating an account, then submitting. Anchor only does it for Spotify and that’s it. I really don’t like this 😕😐

Very good!. It got my podcast going ty for making this app

I had 4 completed pod cast, today it wouldn’t open and asked me to sign in, all my podcast are gone. I enjoyed but all my hard work deleted from m library.

Please please please. I’m begging y’all to please monetize in Canada PLEASEESEE

BUG ISSUE. When renaming segments, after doing so then navigating elsewhere it reverts back to original name. (Doesn’t save the rename) please fix. Thanks

Needs some tweaking. I love the app, I think it’s super convenient however, I have had countless issues with my RSS link. Customer service have been helpful though so that’s awesome. I would love it if I could add a simple intro tune rather than have the entire loop for the whole episode.

Best App to start a podcast.. Are you looking to create a podcast but always asking yourself “I don’t know where to start”? Anchor is the best app to start a podcast. You record on the app and anchor distributes the content to all the platforms for you. It truly is the best app to start a podcast!

Instant podcasts. It is so easy to create a podcast! Upload your audio file and set it to push to all the major platforms. Wish I had started sooner! The app is great to track how many listens each episode has.

Fantastic I love it!! Can’t wait for the next episode!. Food stories that shape our lives! Wonderful!

Pls fix. Ok not meaning to be rude I downloaded this but I can’t use it pls fix!

Love it. Love ❤️

Inviting friends glitch. i love this app the platform is so easy to use BUT everytime i invite a friend to record it always glitches and hangs up multiple times after a few minutes. please fix!!

Buttons not labelled properly. This looks like a fantastic app. As you go through it using voice over you soon discover that none of the buttons are labelled properly. It would be great if the developer could review this with Accessibility in mind. Please label all the buttons as per the standards of Apple. This could be an absolutely fantastic app however By not making it accessible leaves you to wonder of the quality.

A must have app for you!!!. Hello to all the podcasters, Dreamers, and educators. People with a passion to share their vision of any topic. Well It’s simply nice when you dream of doing something that you feel you will be good at and there is a free app loaded with tools and education on podcasts. Gently guide me to achieving my goals. Even sharing how to make money in many ways doing this. Take a moment and check out the app. Explore what it has to offer. Even though this review will create more competition for me I can’t help but direct those searching for a single app to create an abundance of knowledge, entertainment, prayer, and comedy of the trade by sharing reviews on almost any commodity in our life. True entertainment created by YOU!!!!

So interesting and funny.. I look forward to every episode

Awesome Episode!. Great listen! Learned a ton from this episode, can’t wait to start training my abs the right way!

Great app, needs more iPhone import options. I have a bunch of voice recordings that would be great to import f into Anchor.fm directly.

The name is a missed opportunity. Anchor was a good name. Spotify for podcasters is not such a good name. BUT, I think you missed an opportunity here. Why not “sPODify”?

Easy peasy lemon squeezie. Easy to use and publish. Just get going eh?!

Great podcast!!!. This is a great podcast!!

Monetization Missing for Canada. I love using Anchor for my podcasts, however, I’m very tempted to start using another platform as you don’t have monetization support for Canadian creators. Any plans to bring that soon?

Spotlight. Appreciate your talent and ability.

Love the app but Interviews are huge and you guys make is difficult. It would be the perfect app. Word of mouth would be a way better download tactic then forcing people to download the app for an interview. I think bringing interviews back and letting word of mouth be the selling point. I would have zero bad things to say if the interviews was back i mean having guest in a podcast is like the most important thing next to quality and even that can take a back seat if having a captivating guest. Podcast and interviews is the best relationship and you guys should make that one of the easiest process. Having that will is KEY!

Out of sync. The basis of this app is genius but to complete a genius idea, you need to have a plan. The concept of anchor is amazing that any joe schmo can start a podcast for free. Personally I love the app and will continue to use it but one thing has been irking me lately and that’s how out of sync this app is. I had a very special guest from Tennessee on my podcast yesterday and the playback was atrocious. Live time: normal conversation and questioning. When you listen to it on this app: awkward silence in between questions and overlapping our voices. Also anchor, can you please fix the amount of views/listeners that shows up? I know about 40-50 people have tuned in personally to the podcast and I still show the same number from the actual podcast date.

DjMylesradio. Anchor is the best app kindly bring back thee pause button under the record button, as, u guys make thee, app accessible with voice over on iOS in more it wood be awesome if we can have a home button with all of my favorite podcast favorites, a search tab in more, I think that will make it the best⚓️ app, but I no that takes time in all, but hay, all& all, I love this app the best social media audio app ever if you love to podcast or share voice messages in more,⚓️📻📻🎉🎉🎉🎶😂😎 I love, listening to my⚓️ cast on Twitter, Facebook, in other platforms if u guys could fix listening to⚓️ on Twitter, wair we can listen to audio on Twitter, that wood be awesome awesome awesome😂

A fun, easy way to podcast. Absolutely fantastic. I’d wanted to start a podcast for awhile, but really had no idea how to go about it. The Anchor app DOES IT ALL FOR YOU! Just pick a topic you want to podcast about and record. Editing is simple and easy. I do it all on my phone! Then the app distributes your podcast for you. I’ve done over 40 episodes and am really enjoying it. It’s a fun new hobby for me Best of all, their tech support is quick to respond. Recently had an issue, and it was fixed pretty quick. If you want to podcast, Anchor is the way to go.

Good but needs work. I’ve been using the app for a month now and started up a podcast. It’s been going pretty well but whenever I’m editing the audio, half a sentence will go missing after I’ve finished. Sometimes pieces of the audio will be in different places which leads to the new episode that’s supposed to air in a few hours butchered. I really do appreciate the app and what it’s for but the problems with editing can be a real setback. Otherwise, it seems to do the job. Recording is usually not a problem. I would suggest the app if you have a better way of editing but editing softwares can be expensive.

Annoying Glitch. As a distribution platform, I really like Anchor. As an audio workstation, it is functionally useless. You have one option: split the track. So you can delete coughs or whatever. This is fine, but even that functionality is ruined by an annoying glitch where if you pull down on the track at all (as if you were going to dismiss it) the save button disappears. I seriously just edited the same cast twice in a row and my finger didn’t go perfectly horizontal when scanning the track near the end, leading to the disappearance of the save button and requiring a complete redo. There’s a cancel button built right in, why would it need pull down functionality?

I love this app!. Anchor is so awesome, it’s so easy to use, it’s a brilliant app and it allows any individual to start their own podcast and share with their friends or multiple different platforms. Anchor is integrated it with almost every social media site and it even allows you to record your own ads to make money. I’m so thankful to find this app I really hope that they continue to link with social sites and and form of media help this app grow and promote awareness of anchor anywhere they can. Most of all it’s free like completely free, no gimmicks, no bait clicks, you don't pay for anything. It's free, completely free. Did I mention that it was FREE!!!

Thank you Anchor!. My dream for the past few years was to have my own podcast and the good people at Anchor made my dream come true and not at a crazy cost to do so. I do this for the love and passion I have for doing podcast. Only thing I would like to add to this app is longer segments. It’s great to have long segments when I’m talking to another person through the Anchor app, but when it is just me recording by myself I wish the segments were longer than five minutes. Outside of that, I have nothing else to say, the app has been great to me and I thank you all at Anchor for that.

Listen to The Kre8ive Podcast! This app is amazing!!. I heard about anchor just in time as I was ready to launch my podcast! I did plenty of research and as a new podcaster I hated that I had to pay out of pocket to start something that I didn’t know where it would go and on top of that it was limiting me to time every month! Once I heard about anchor and looked it up I knew it was my podcast home! Quickly set up an account and a week later launched my first episode! So easy to get started! And everyone I referred to start their podcast said the same thing! I wouldn’t recommend any other app for your podcast

They tack ads onto your podcast and don’t pay you. I thought anchor would be a nice service to use for podcasting. They ended their introductory support of my podcast (I earned a whole $1.50.) that required me to read a cheesy script. I made another episode recently and just got around to listening to it via my regular podcasting app. Anchor tacked on a commercial at the end using some louder voice that I did not know of or approve. This obnoxious addition to my podcast is only for their benefit without them even throwing a few measly cents their way. I might have agreed to this if I had been informed of it prior to hearing it when listening to the podcast I created a week later, but as it stands, I consider this practice disingenuous and I am disappointed. I thought it was a nice company but apparently it is dishonest.

A 5-star app. So one day I was looking for a recording app for my iPad and I came across this app called anchor. I thought it was amazing and I was right. It made it so easy to do everything. And I got my podcasts on Apple, which I thought would never happen. The also have a thing where you can make money, off a totally free app. It doesn’t even have one of those vip things. No in app purchases and I totally recommend it. I still can’t believe this app is completely free! So awesome. P.S. My podcast on Apple podcasts is Laura Elizabeth Ingalls Wilder so if you want you can look it up on there and listen. Thanks for reading!

I think it’s a really good app. I see a lot of bad reviews and some medium ones. And I’m not sure if it’s because these are extremely professional podcasters that are used to whole studio set ups or whatever, but I’m just starting out and for me it’s easy to use and easy to record and publish something on my mind or something I’d like to talk about. I gave it 5 stars because it’s easy for me, and so far my baby podcasting steps are going. Hitting multiple platforms is awesome. The only thing I’d like that app to improve is the analytics of each episode. Similar to YouTube’s analytics.

Very Clear, Concise, and Straightforward. Anchor is here for the common person!!! It has helped me tremendously especially cost wise to secure a platform to be heard. I was a nobody before this and now I feel like a somebody because they make me feel special. They give helpful tips to push me further and I hope I can have them sponsor my podcast one day. !! If you don’t know where to start or if you find other platforms too expensive then anchor is for you!! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Very promising but usability issues. First thing first. Great recording capability, easy to add a co-host as well. Biggest issue is once recording is complete it’s very hard to figure out how to edit, add background music, then publish. First, editing can’t be done on phones or tablets, which is hard to understand considering this is a mobile app. Second, the terminology is confusing. Stations are really episodes, and disappear after 24 hours unless archived. Why? Who knows. And don’t ask what episodes are. Also, it’s not easy to share access with your cohosts. Not sure why. Seems like there are lots of opportunities to streamline the workflow once a recording is made and to edit and share. Hopefully a product manager can rethink this.

72Countries!! All 50 states! I’m international!!. Caving underground, new cave discovery living life’s adventures with Faith , Hope, Love, Forgiveness & Absolutely Adventure! Ty for helping me take my podcast from 1 city to all 50 states & 72 countries and growing daily!!!!!” God bless the broken road that led me straight to you...” Rascall Flats Ps fix the country selection so I can drill down to each city from the app, this helps me promote better & for the love of god bring back hashtags!!! That’s my marketing tool that works! Great for marketing my new books and all my life’s adventures through Faith!

Serious Freakin' Fun Potential. In all fairness I am just now using this app. I probably have spent 10 minutes on it in total but I am loving it and the possibility of the things I could do with it to share my message. Sometimes when I am in front of the video camera it can be a little intimidating so in some cases doing an audio broadcast is much more comfortable because I don't have to focus on what I look like or if I'm blinking too much or picking my nose or whatever and I can just relax and be my true self. I'm loving this and cannot wait to explore it more. Thanks to the amazing team that put this together.

I choose Anchor. This has been great figuring out what my brand image is developing ideas arranging content doing interviews having a chance to make an impact with positivity and thought provoking conversation. I look forward to the second half of this year any many more. I’d like to thank the Anchor family for this platform because it makes it easy for me to create content without a bunch of expenses just the Anchor app. I give Anchor a 10 of 10 for the platform’s functionality innovation and opportunity to be hard on my terms.

Connectivity to designated friend/co-host horribly unfriendly. I was introduced to this app from a friend who knew I was about to launch a podcast. The intent for the podcast was to have a designated co-host to an episode along with interviews through the course of our shows. Me and my friend, with an hour of patience, with multiple attempts tried connecting together on with no success but once. A call came into her phone and brought the caller on her phone into our podcast with no invitation. Very weird. Nonetheless, when I watched about it I was instantly attracted to the ease I advertised but I could find that same friendliness as a user. We have tried again with no success. Why can’t I call straight out and obtain someone via the app rather than it having to send a text message to connect?

I love the App. I love this podcasting app it’s easy to use and the Anchor support team are really great at getting back to you when you have questions or issues with the app. The only thing that I can say is that I don’t really care for is the fact that I was promised a year ago that they would help me find another sponsor for my podcast and they still haven’t gotten me a sponsor yet. But I’m enjoying making podcasts and the creative freedom that Anchor allows me to have when I’m doing my Podcasts and I do recommend this app for anyone getting into podcasting.

Love this app!. Can I give 10 stars? Cause this app and the team behind it are top notch. I’ve had a podcast show for a few years and recently migrated the show to Anchor. The transition was flawless and their customer service walked me through all the necessary steps. I was able to keep all of my current subscribers and was able to gain a few more. I also started a second podcast fresh with the Anchor app and it’s been a lot of fun. The ability to co-host a podcast has been so much fun. I co-host with my old best friend on the other side of the country and it’s like we are in the same room recording. So thank you! Thank you! And thank you! For creating this app and for all the help with assisting me with my shows. And trust me they’ve helped with a lot! So if you had even the slightest inkling of starting your own podcast then you can’t go wrong with the Anchor app! Listen to my shows! Nerd In Me Poscast. And the Hidden Gems Podcast!

Podcast distributed everywhere by Anchor. We started a podcast (Soul Training) and it was quickly distributed all all of the “big” platforms quickly by Anchor. Their website and app are very easy to use with awesome analytics. I ran into a minor issue and reached out to anchor for help. Within a couple of hours, I had a response that solved my issue (it was my fault). Afterwards, they checked in with me to make sure the problem was corrected. I can’t say enough positive things about Anchor. You should give them a try!

Great App on iPad and iPhone. Indeed this App has democratized audio. For too long was it an exclusive platform for the few. Now everyone can have a voice. It’s UI is clean, easy to use and overall perfect. My only possible complaint is that some features are not available on iPad such as the “listen” feature so one thus not (on iPad) enjoy fellow independent Podcasters as well as the record with friends feature being slightly confusing on iPad. Otherwise this is an App that everyone needs to have and will definitely enjoy having :)

Glitchy. This app is great for new podcasters, but don’t ever use it to record something that you can’t record again (speech, interview, wedding vows, etc.). App will glitch mid recording and will delete the whole thing, and anchor support says there is no way to recover a deleted or glitched away recording. I trusted the app for something very important, and it glitched at the end, wouldn’t let me end the recording, and eventually crashed and deleted everything. It was something that I only had one chance to record, so this app made me miss out on having that recording for a memory. Also, if you accidentally delete something, tough luck. Use something more reliable unless you can re-record it. Very disappointed.

Getting better, still needs iPad optimization. This app works well for me for the most part. I have occasional glitches uploading audio files from my iPhone but these incidences are so rare I hardly notice them. My big request is for the app to support iPad optimization. I know that I can download the app to my iPad but it just looks like an iPhone app blown up and it doesn’t run as smoothly as on my iPhone. Crashes a little more on iPad. Overall though great work. I’ve been an anchor user since V1 and I’m proud of how much the app and company have grown and improved over time!

Just one thing. I recently went public with my podcast through Anchor and absolutely love it! Now, the problem I am having might just be because I don’t know how to really use everything yet but if it can blend multiple segments together a little better, that would be awesome! Like if we had an intro or outro, I wouldn’t want to hear the pause in between those. If I’m doing something wrong, please teach me the ways! Lol. Love what you guys are doing and can’t wait to see you guys make this app even better, if that’s possible. Thanks! X-Rey Vision

got a call and lost a 40 minute recording!. Overall, i love this app! recordings sound great, everything’s layed out nicely and cohesively, however on my first recording, 40 minutes in i got a call and i lost all my progress! i couldnt find out how to salvage what i had done and ultimately suffered a huge loss. Admittedly i ahould have put my phone on airplane mode or something but i still wish the app had simply paused recording instead of deleting the whole thing. if there’s a way to find this audio that i’m missing i’d be ecstatic and give this app 5 stars but until this issue is fixed i can only do 3.

Good app. This is a really good app for making a podcast and is easy to use and it is free My podcast is called “Whats that” and anchor has made it really easy to make an entire podcast.I would also like a feature to be able to record your podcast live, that would be really helpful and awesome. You can also add music to your podcast so that you can hear a little music while you are talking. This app can also let you listen to podcasts. Once your podcast is on they will automatically publish it to other podcast listening apps It is great

Unique and innovative!. Anchor has grown so much since its humble beginnings, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The latest updates have especially sealed the deal as a top “radio” contender. The only other thing I imagine will truly complete this radio experience is the ability to REALLY go live! It would be great if hosts could go live in real-time, invite call-ins, and commenters, then publish that recording in the end. A real-time radio experience, archived as a podcast or show for others to listen to later, yet still comment or call-in on. Thank you for a great alternative social media experience!

Overall Great but Recent Issues on iPad are Annoying!. I use the app on by iPhone 8 Plus, iPad Pro, and my HP laptop. I only have issues on my iPad Pro. When creating and adding things from my library, the app automatically signs me out each time but only on the iPad. It is frustrating and very inconvenient when I only have my iPad since I don’t like using my phone for creating the episodes (I use my phone to record only). I am consistently logging back in and losing my changes as I build new episodes. I hope it gets fixed soon, I’d hate to have to find another podcast building app. I need full functionality of the app on all devices, otherwise what’s the point!?!?

BEST podcast app I’ve ever downloaded, a LIFESAVER. This app is a LIFESAVER for my podcast. I tried everything: Podbean, Bean sprout, Libsyn, Blubrry, etc. I used to have Podcast Machine for my podcast and it’s great until 1 GB 😂. So I searched for podcasts uploaders (Podbean, Blubrry, etc.) because the memory was getting full, but the problem was that I was in a budget (BROKE)!!! I was VERY close to delete my podcast. Then I saw an ad of yours (I don’t remember where) I was a little bit insecure but I downloaded it as my last resort. And it was THE BEST CHOICE. It RESCUED my podcast and the best of all, it’s FREE!!! THANK YOU ANCHOR FOR SAVING MY PODCAST!!! 🙏 A MUST DOWNLOAD app for broke podcasters like me 😂

4 stars. I really enjoy using this app. My friend and I started a podcast a couple months back and this app made it so easy to consistently post and record; especially when my friend and I live in two different states. I rate it with 4 stars instead of 5 because we did have some issues when we edited our podcast the first time with the app, it ended up not processing our episode and we had to redo all the edits in another app. There are a couple more times when our podcast wouldn’t process and we’d have to start over again. Besides the fact, I would definitely recommend this app to anyone interested in starting a podcast!

So amazed. I have been trying to set up my podcast for several months. I have had may setbacks, equipment ad then software issues. Trying various ones.. I kept researching and watching tutorials and stumbled upon anchor a few weeks ago. I downloaded it for my iPhone and that’s all that was listed but I wanted to use my desktop and mic. Searching again today and found out I could do it from my desktop. In a few hours I am all set up and ready to go. I just need to figure how I can use my own music but other than that... perfect. I would recommend this to anyone.

Out of Sync. I really like this app, but the one huge flaw it has is that when you record with friends it records on one file instead of 2 separate files. Upon playback we often have huge latency issues and it will sound as if we’re talking over one another. If we recorded on separate tracks it would be fixable, but as it is you just have to re-record. We’ve had to re-record or had issues 3 or 4 times now so we’ve switched to recording on zencastr, which is fine, but then I have to put it in audacity to compile it and upload. I really just want to use anchor. The sound is much clearer on anchor as well. Please fix this!!!!

Great design! Functionality needs work. I’ve been using the app for a little while now and I really do love the personal touch I get from the different rundowns. Design is attractive and the dial feature is streamlined... maybe a little too streamlined. I expected the dial to be a quick access for either all of my stations or the ones I listen to the most, but there’s not way for me to add, remove, or order what shows up on that page for me. I have to dig into my profile tab to find my other stations (that took me a while to find when I first used the app since the tab is labeled “people” instead of something a little more obvious like “stations”). I thought it might have something to do with how recent the latest posts were, but there have been times when a show in my library is currently on air but a show on my dial could be two days old. There’s not rhyme or reason that I can figure out why it does this. I’d love to be able to customize my own dial. Hopefully I’m not alone on this and they give us he option in a future update.

It’s great, except. I love this app, it truly makes distributing my podcast easy for free, without (from what I can tell) annoying branding that I didn’t put in the podcast myself. However, with that said, there are some minor things that need to be fixed. Sometimes, when trying to change windows (episodes to account settings for example), it simply just doesn’t. This causes me to have to restart the app, which is pretty annoying. Another thing is that the app lacks the option to hit the return or enter key to do a new line. The website has this, but for some reason the app doesn’t. If they could fix these two things my review would be five stars for sure.

Can’t connect with co host. Concept is great. But my co host and I keep trying to join and it doesn’t work. It’s not a Wi-Fi issue. I think it’s because we are both logged into the same account with the apps on our phone; but I don’t see why that should be an issue if this is marketed as being able to co host from a distance. Also, the email verification keeps getting sent to our email every 30 minutes even though we haven’t asked for one and keep repeatedly verifying the email. Also we can’t click on the menu button to log out, even though we have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Exactly unfortunate that the APL has so many glitches.

Not Good for Listeners. I am not a podcast creator, and I’m sure this is great for podcast creators, but I am someone who is just here to listen to a podcast that is currently only on anchor and the app makes it really difficult to do so. It lets me star a podcast, but there is no way to find my starred podcasts, I have to search for it each time. Also I have issues sometimes where the podcast stops and I try to hit pause and play but the pause button does nothing and the podcast never loads. Then I have to reload the app to get it to work and when I do that, it doesn’t save my place so I have to find where I was at again (which then sometimes doesn’t load when I try starting in the middle of the podcast).

Awesome!. I found Anchor online while searching for an easy way to take an idea from some friends and turn it in to more. And Anchor has helped us make a fun podcast together easily! It’s easy to use for a beginner and gives you easy access to a larger audience. I strongly recommend it! And I can’t wait to see what else they add to make this even better! One thing I would ask for is a way to edit the audio on my phone or tablet tho! But that’s a minor price to pay for such an awesome service! I also wish that the segments could be longer than 5 mins, it makes it tough to edit smoothly at times.

Great app but wish for better interview portion. Anchor is awesome & has helped a lot with my Podcast, but they only thing i wish were different is the conversations with others portion. I occasionally do interviews on my podcast & not everyone can meet in person. But in order to have the call via Anchor, my guest has to download the anchor app. I know it’s a small task but I hate to have to make someone download something when all i really aim to do is hear their story. It would be awesome if there was a way to send them a link through anchor & all they have to do is tap it & our call starts without them having to download the tech.

Editing Issue. I’ve been a proud Anchor user since 2018, and I just recently got back into the podcasting game. I use my iPad for mostly everything for the podcast, and I was glad to see a new editing feature. The first couple weeks it worked great. But then when editing my third episode, something odd happened. When I went to play back my edited segment, the audio was in a different order. I don’t know how that happened. I’ve actually had to make my episodes shorter by cutting out pieces that were out of order. My last episode I had to edit 3 times and I cut almost 1/4 of the program. I’m not sure if this is a bug or something like that. I’m not gonna stop using Anchor even if you paid me, but hopefully this can be fixed.

A stodgy app, difficult to edit on. Anchor, in general, is a great package. It’s excellent for very simple podcasts. However, the app has issues. It doesn’t update plays and payments as quickly as the website, and you can fret about a lack of traffic only to find out that you’re actually doing fine. Also, you can only edit tracks in the app, not on the desk top site, and it can drive you crazy trying to eliminate a simple glitch. There’s also no fade up and fade down future for background music, so you either have to have it play under the entire track or go without it. These little glitches are going to drive users away as soon as they get some development expertise.

From podcaster to podcaster: This app is AMAZING!. All of us contributing to this anchor feed are seasoned podcasters at this point, so we’ve pretty much seen it all when it comes to podcasting inconvenience. From Benjamin (“Above & Batman Beyond”) and Blake, Brandon, and Mag (“Steady Geekin’”), we thank you, Anchor, for making this new update podcast of ours nothing but a joy of PURE convenience!! We’ve been using it a ton and telling everyone about it. No excuses now! All ya gotta do is put your phone up to your ear and the recording begins! Sound mixing, equipment, hosting, RSS feeds, bla bla bla, all things of the past thanks to Anchor!! Thanks again, Anchor, from all of us at “Update: Nerd Style”!

Podcast begginer. Being a beginner to podcasting this app makes it super easy to use and release new episodes when ever and where ever you want. I do agree that there could be some new things added just to make it easier and more accessible but I can’t wait to download the new version!!! I really enjoy not having to pay it just makes life so much easier so a huge shout out to the smart creators for thinking of other people🗣. So thanks so much totally recommended getting this app especially if your new at this whole podcasting thing😍

Love the app so much!. I love the app, it’s really easy to use and it does a great job at what it does! I do, however, have a suggestion to improve the app. I’ve been unsuccessful in finding a separate app that I could use to record and edit my podcast before uploading it via Anchor. I think that it would be perfect if more editing options were included in this app considering that it seems to be a pretty untapped market with iPhones. It would also just improve the app as whole. Thank you!

Great App! Love it!. I don't typically write reviews for apps, but I will for this one! I started my podcast with my best friend a couple weeks ago (How The F***?) but Anchor really started it all! I love the user friendly-ness of it all, and it's ability to connect me with my co-host is incredible! The only thing that seems to lag for me is renaming segments? It gets very hard to keep track when i make splits in my audio, so if the developers see this, Hi! i'd love to see an update or a fix on the renaming segments bit! or maybe just not put so many numbers when you save your audio splits! Any who, download the app it's very nice and super fun to record with!

USER FRIENDLY & AMAZINGLY EASY. I love the “Anchor”. It’s so easy to use and really puts “Podcasting” in the hands of novices and amateurs. I discovered “Anchor” yesterday through my webmaster and right away I set up my account and recorded my first podcast. It took about 10 minutes. Wow! I’m excited and looking forward to the coming opportunities “Anchor” will offer. However, I do have a request. When I did my first podcast, I had the option to add a background track. But now I just cannot find this option. It’s gone. My first recording is enhanced because of the background music. How can I find it if it’s still there or what’s going on? I liked it. Bring it back, please. Thank you.

“Food Fun And Friendship” New Podcast!. I Am certainly not the advanced Computer Enthusiast, But What I did Manage to Create for My entire Social Media Following Is A Very Special, Easy To Create Podcast Page For all those friends across the world to come to Each Day For “Food, Fun, And Friendship” through my New Easy To Create Podcast On Anchor! ...Keep Listening and Creating Great Things With Anchor who Helps You Create Distribute, And manage Your Podcast Episodes In a Very Fun, Easy Way From Your Cell Phone Or Home Computer! I rank this Five out of Five stars By Far The Best, Easiest “tech” thing I’ve ever Done And strongly encourage you to give Anchor a Try! -Chef Daniel Person, From “Dutch Country” Pennsylvania, Lancaster County!

Save Your Bacon. So most reviews I read either compliment or criticize Anchor’s built in tools and tricks. I just wanna compliment some stuff that flies under the review radar. So I record my podcast on my Mac, I edit in Logic Pro, I handle all mixing and mastering and music Outside if Anchor. What I LOVE about Anchor is that it’s free. Our podcast isn’t super popular yet nor is it a source of income yet. That being said, the fact that Anchor allows us to upload every episode for free and distributed to all podcast platforms for free is MASSIVE. Sure, other platforms like simplecast might make you a podcast website. Sure, other platforms might have better analytics pages. BUT, being able to upload a weekly podcast that makes no money FOR FREE is miles ahead of paying $15-$30 a month to host a show that would only be draining your wallet at that point. So thank you Anchor. Thank you for allowing me to stay creative without losing my ability to buy groceries:)

I love it!. I love this app, because with it I’ve checked off an intention I had started earlier this year. Still learning the ropes, but it’s so much fun while doing it. Question(s): Will there ever be a time when there are no time limit? It beeps and stops every 5 mins. Will there be a time when I could edit into a category more discoverable on platforms such as iTunes and Google Play? Right now I’m under Health, but it’s too “broad” for what I offer. Will there ever be a time where the description box would give me more than just a set amount of characters? It would also be very nice if I was able to press “enter”, so it doesn’t look like a whole bunch of words.

9 episodes in and Anchor Has Done A Lot For Me. I never thought I’d be recording a podcast at a somewhat professional stature, but nine episodes later, it feels really fun to do and makes me express myself more often than I had ever been on the internet. Anchor has helped in doing this task as well as being a great platform to host the podcast that I do. Not only that, it also helps in delivering the podcast to other platforms such as iTunes, Overcast, and Stitcher. Overall, I’ve been really glad I’ve been using Anchor and I hope to make my podcast more enjoyable and more professional as time goes on.
