Firefox Focus: Privacy browser App Description & Overview

What is firefox focus: privacy browser app? Use Firefox Focus for everything you want to keep separate from your main browser — for all those get in get out and forget about it moments. No tabs, no fuss, no muss. Block ads and online trackers too. One tap, and your browsing history is completely destroyed.

Blocking distracting ads also means faster page loads which means Focus gets you where you want to go a lot faster. Firefox Focus is the perfect get in/get out, search and destroy, I’m on a mission that’s none-of-your-business — web browser.

NEW DISTRACTION-FREE DESIGN
When you open Focus, you just get the awesome bar and the keyboard for super quick searching. That’s it. No recent history, no past sites, no open tabs, no ads, no distractions. Just a simple, minimal design with menus that make sense.

ONE TAP TO DELETE HISTORY
Erase your history, passwords and cookies with just a tap of the trash button.

CREATE SHORTCUTS
Pin up to four shortcuts on your home screen. Get to your favorite site even quicker without typing anything.

FASTER BROWSING WITH AD BLOCKING & TRACKING PROTECTION
Firefox Focus blocks many ads you’d normally see on web pages so you get much faster page load speeds, which means you get to the stuff you want a lot faster. Focus also blocks a wide range of trackers by default, including social trackers and those sticky ones that come from things like Facebook ads.

BACKED BY A NON-PROFIT
Firefox Focus is backed by Mozilla, the non-profit that fights for your rights on the web, so you can trust it not to sell your data.

Leave no trail. Firefox Focus (FF) easily clears history whenever you want. You breakup a trail for google to nose around. Actually just set it for duckduckgo and cut off google snoopiness. I use FF when I want to check on something like football schedule, news event, etc. Why worry about cookies when you blow them away after the visit. Saves editing the cookies in my default browser. The price you pay for FF convenience is inability to bookmark (as far as I can tell) frequently visited sites. But FF actually saves time. And if you find something you need you can save it through Print > Share > Save as PDF (which is clumsy but works) or just Air Drop to another device.

My go-to browser on iOS. I love Focus and the Mozilla org for supporting a free security-first browser. Surfing the web with it (and with the excellent Lockdown app plus an active VPN) works really well. One little feature I didn’t realize I’d miss and wish they’d bring back is the option to clear the browser history and start fresh when you try to return to Focus with the authentication option on. That saved the steps of reauthenticating and then hitting the garbage can icon if you decide you don’t care to revisit the last open link.

And I thought Safari was fast. The app is great and also adds content blocking to the built in safari app if you want to add it. It loads things way faster and with less adds than the google app or safari. Before this app I used google for the news cards as they know me well by now and always have an interesting article for me, but they also have the absolute worst ads. Invasive and broken to where it crashes the page. If that happens or if I needed a bookmark from my PC I would “open in Safari” for a more stable experience, and since my desktop has iCloud syncing my Firefox bookmarks they all live in safari now. I only wish I could get my google cards in Firefox. It will give me a few but not the 20+ that the google app gives me.

Overall it does what I need it to do however.... I use this app for when I need to randomly google something unimportant. I use the main firefox for important stuff with tabs I actually want to keep for later. The only issue I have with this app is that for some reason, when I want to move on from one website to another without closing the app, I click the site address but it doesn't select the whole address. I want this feature so that I can immediately overwrite the address once I start typing. This is a feature on every other browser I've used, so it's a tough habit to break.

An Ad-Blocker I can hang with. I appreciate this app because it looks different (can I say better?) than the standard Mozilla app, and it has an option to lock the browser with Face ID. My favorite feature is the ad-blocking aspect though which you can incorporate with Safari under Settings via the Content Blocker section. I’m getting tired of seeing ads that are splashed everywhere but don’t really even offer the convenience of targeting me well. Beware if you select each ad-blocking feature beyond the defaults as it is aggressive and some webpages won’t load properly (it’s rare, but it can happen). Anyway, the app is pretty good about giving this warning too. It feels good to have some added privacy online. I would like to see multiple tabs though as a feature with a future build.

Looking for a lite browser?. I have tried every browser imaginable. Free ones, paid ones. I wanted a browser that does not use tons of data and mostly ad free. I loved the puffin browser and purchased the pro, however too many ads and auto play videos! Why would you have an lite app with auto play videos? That makes no sense! Opera is great but still too many ads and I hate the news feed you can’t remove. Also does seem buggy at times. I’ve seriously tried them all. Firefox Focus is lacking things I like such as speed dial, however that’s a small price to pay for a browser that for the most part has minimal ads, is lite on data, fast and overall functions very smoothly. Thanks for making a browser that isn’t junk!

App Update deleted all of my browser shorcuts. Update: A recent app update deleted my 4 browser shortcuts and I had to add them back in. Hopefully this won’t recur with future updates. This happened on both my iPhone and iPad. Until the last update you could add 4 shortcuts to your favorite sites so you could easily open them without typing in the whole web address for your most visited sites. Not sure why this feature would be removed. If you didn’t want to use it then you didn’t have to use it. So if users were concerned that others would see their favorite sites they could just enable Face ID or Touch ID to prevent this. Hope this is added back in a future update. It was very convenient to just check your favorite news, sports, or other info sites for any quick news updates when your in a hurry. URL Autocomplete isn’t the same because the sites you visit may be similar to those saved in app’s Top Sites which means you have to type more of the website address to get to the correct website. Instead of just clicking the shortcut. Please fix this so Firefox Focus isn’t just Safari with privacy features and an Adblock. Which is appreciated but not a full featured mobile version of Firefox.

I love this app!!!!. Ok aside from ForeFox, this is the best internet browser in the market!! So if you’re definitely only trying to only open one tab then this should definitely be your go to. I’ve always been one to continuously open tabs and forget to close them and when I go to clear out my tabs I end up with like 50+ open and now I need to sort through for the tabs I want to keep and the tabs which are irrelevant garbage(which is a lot of them). Now with this app! Literally any one tab task I need done I can do it sawfly and securely and after a short while of inactivity the tab closes by itself! No history. Safe and secure and best of all no drama, no clean up. I love y’all Mozilla🙌❤️

Recent Update Bug (minor). This is actually a bug connected to the Apple Shortcuts app. When using a Shortcut to open another app, a silly notification appears at the top with a simple “✔️” indicating the shortcut worked. Now, normally when Firefox Focus is opened, the keyboard pops up and you’re ready to go. But if Focus is opened using a Shortcut, the Keyboard goes away at the same time that silly notification does as well. Doesn’t break anything, but it’s a little annoying to have to bring the keyboard up twice every time it’s opened. Hope that’s clear enough. Otherwise, 5 star app the whole way. Update: It has been fixed with another software update. Thank you!

X s s. Can you have an option that would block switch to apps Notes and allow app universal links to open in external apps option and block fingerprintin option and can you have an option to have Block site trackers option and The most annoying thing can you have an option that would save most time is A tabs option remember all tabs erase tabs Data on quit and erase tabs data on background that would be helpful and save a lot of time and a second tabs page on the browser or mini if people open or if there’s an upcoming virus on the website pop-ups and an a HTTPS option of faster connection would give users the option to close it at any time that would be very helpful I believe those features will be very helpful and make tracking less option on the browsing those options and features would be very helpful

Blocks Scam Redirects - Flawlessly. I never leave app reviews. If you’ve ever been browsing on a website and got redirected to a spam scam or virus link upon clicking something on the page - this browser is for you. I’ve never been able to find one on mobile that actually does it, but this successfully blocks any redirects unless I specifically click something. It’s incredible and would recommend this over any other browser, only downside is no tabs but technically I suppose the “Focus” aspect of the browser is for that very function, to focus on the screen you are currently on and not multiple tabs / without distractions. I’m impressed to say the least, congrats on making an incredible mobile browsing experience, Mozilla

One of the Best Browsers I’ve Ever Used. I’m just an ordinary internet user and not affiliated with any organization paying me to write this review. Before using any product, I heavily research it. In the case of internet browsers, I read the developer’s privacy policies and terms of service. After reading these policies, I can say that Mozilla’s intentions are good, and what they advertise is legitimate. This browser has all of the best privacy features that I could ever need in a mobile browser. I feel much more comfortable browsing the web with Firefox Focus than any other browser on iPhone. While other users may not like the fact that you cannot open multiple tabs, I personally think it’s a useful feature because I can focus on one task and avoid wasting time on the internet mindlessly browsing. The only slightly negative feedback I have is that I wish the browser had a widget that I could add to my home page. However, I’m sure that this feature is currently being developed, so it’s no big deal! Thank you so much for implementing policies that truly care about the user’s privacy!

web browser with privacy. I have used Mozilla's browsers since the beginning back in the 1990s. I continue with Firefox for the robust app support as my goto browser on all my computers (Windows and Linux). Because of my interest in privacy I decided to tested Firefox Focus. Now I use Focus on my iPhone and iPad. Having a second browser on the iPad my wife and I share allows her to keep her safari browser tabs uncluttered with my stuff. I find Focus very user friendly, easy to use and it works well for most all my basic browsing needs. I have the settings set for maximum privacy though I expect most people will be happier with the initial settings. Good job Mozilla. Thanks for the great product!

“Please update your browser”. This is a great browser. It blocks web garbage right from the start and I can even dump my cache with a single click - I use that option a lot. I want to give this 5 stars. More and more websites I’ve been going to have been telling me they don’t support my browser anymore and tell me to update my browser. I can’t even login to them. I understand I can integrate into Safari and basically use FF as an ad blocker but I don’t want to. I want Safari to be my alternate less ad blocking, more open option in case I have I go to a site that has a problem with ad blocking. If I cant go to several of the sites I want to because they don’t support this, I may need to find another option. I feel this should be a simple fix - make the website detect this as a different browser / higher version of Firefox or just update the version.

Tu turk key key. Is when you take a small turkey and shove it inside of a bigger turkey and then cook them per himym. This app is kinda like that. I had my hopes up. I use FF on my desktop, but an app advertised as private shouldn’t have info sending on by default and where’s the option to open a new tab or window while preserving the site you’re currently visiting? That seems like it should be a no brainer. So, similar to the tu turk key key in the end it was just wrong. Safari I sure have grown to loathe you and Apple, but leave the light on for me, cus I’m headed back. You can continue to use your privacy first propaganda to collect and share my info until I find your replacement.

Update: Deep Linking Turned Off. The app is no longer deep linking out to other apps. I didn’t see a note in the Changelog, so not sure if the app changed or if iOS changed. Either way, great to be back to normal! Previous Review: FF Focus has been my first stop mobile browser for years. The recent update to allow Deep Linking (where a link clicked in the browser open’s the native app), is anti-privacy and deeply runs against the experience I have enjoyed so much in the past. Please remove the Deep Linking capability, or make it an option in the settings so users can opt-out. If this change is due to an Apple API/rendering engine/policy update, please communicate with us so users can also contact the iOS dev team to request flexibility. Looking forward to bumping my rating back up to 5. Thanks! Update note: If you press and hold the link, a drop down will come up. The Open Link option will not Deep Link outside of the app.

Failing to clear all history. Edit-2: New: I am security minded and perhaps OCD about it; ask my gf. The seamless integration of the security functions Focus and FireFox are not perfect. However, the combination of Focus & FireFox & Mozilla VPN are the gold standard for safe/secure browsing of the web. Other secure(?) browsers such as Brave hamper the web experience so much that it is unusable. Original Post: Visited a page on MSN and received an advertisement image related to a search from several days ago. NOT a mere coincident. AND there is no way to see history. Edit: adding details… iphone 14, Focus app running with most secure settings, searched for steel electrically panel days before, open/close Focus several times a day, have Firefox setting secured also and to delete data upon closing AND I manually clear caches every couple of days, a day or so later I clicked on a link from Drudge and it landed on the article at MSN. Advertisement on that page included Steel Panels the same ‘odd’ size that I had looked at previously. Thought it was curious enough that I deleted Focus, cleared every cache that I could think of… reloaded Focus, head back to the same page on MSN via the same link on Drudge… the panels were still showing as an ad but were in a different place on the screen.

Many bugs. I have been using Firefox Focus for years, but this current version of Firefox Focus has been so buggy that I had to make this review (something that I didn’t bother doing in years). Some issues include: - Adblock preference persists across sessions (if I turn off adblocker for a specific session, closing the session usually reset the toggle and has adblocker on again by default for the next session. This no longer works so if I turn off the adblocker, it stays off until I turn it back on even for the next/new session) - URL selection (in the past, clicking the address bar did a select all on the URL by default which made it easy to copy address or delete/replace the entire link. Now it simply places a cursor so typing text will result in appending text instead of replacing the URL) - Requiring Face ID authentication for a new session (not a terrible bug but is annoying as I am anticipating an existing session) There are some other smaller issues such as shortcuts being deleted, performance glitches, etc that have been surfacing in the past couple months that have reduced the quality of the app. Please fix these issues, Firefox Focus is a daily driver app for me and it’s been frustrating to see the app degrade like this.

There’s a lot to love, but. I hate to be so critical with 3 stars because I do love Firefox and Mozilla. The thing is, Focus (while amazing, especially as an ad blocker for Safari) needs more features. I should be able to set a timer to automatically close my tab(s) and clear my data after leaving the app. I appreciate how easy to clear button is to access though. The second feature it should have is more than one tab. I know that’s what the man Firefox is for, but sometimes I need to open something in another tab, and then I have to click the three dots, click the “open in Firefox” button, and then do it. It’s cool that you can add a custom search engine (like Brave Search)! Plus, it’s open-source.

My go-to browser, but…. Compared to my regular Firefox, this browser has issues. It frequently stalls when loading pages. Sites that have transitional popups for login will fail. Form fills sometimes don’t take, including logins. It’s impossible to back out of the occasional redirect to a site that spams you forward multiple pages, there’s no “back” history to choose a previous page away from the guilty site. It loses the previous page sometimes, requiring a browser restart and redo of whatever was being worked on. Lastly, it’s infuriating that the URL window sends the cursor to the end of the URL. Nobody appends or edits URLs in the address windows, and it can take several taps to select/remove the URL to initiate a new search, especially if IOS is being finicky/slow about your taps. Like I said, it’s my go-to browser for casual use, but it has its irritations, and I suggest using regular FF if you need to do something you want to keep track of or do anything remotely critical.

Liked this until it starts to be buggy. I really like the concept of this browser and have been using it as my main browser for a long time, and I have been liking it. However, recently a core function, back button, which is essential for such a browser without tabs, starts to stop working very often. When the back button is hit, it will display a blank page. In this blank page, refresh button won’t make the page render either. The only two ways are (1) go forward to the previous page where we go back, and go back again, chances are it will load properly (no promise); (2) if it doesn’t work, have to copy the url, close the current page and paste the url to reopen it (if this is a one time link, then bye bye…). This is super annoying and I am trying to find the report bug button. Couldn’t find a way… so frustrating

Possibly good for blocking trackers. Seems to block trackers but it’s hard to tell for sure. On the surface, when I use this to browse various sites via a search for checking out products, I generally fail to see similar product ads on Facebook or Twitter so is it Firefox focus or is it iOS limiting the tracking? Using duck duck go for searching may also play a part. I guess for me it’s not worth the time or effort to research it’s performance vs safari or Firefox or chrome. It feels safe using it though like for opening shortened urls or when in doubt about a site. However it clearly allows some tracking since various sites will see I’ve reached my free access limit.

Recent update made it unusable. Update3: Dev have responded with a generic boilerplate “here is the support link”, which requires account creation. “Contact developer” also goes to a generic help page about how to install and configure the app. Feels like my issue was not acknowledged and that robot is responding to these reviews. Update2: after recent UI changes gave it a try and found that issue is there doubly so. Whenever a site tries to do full screen messages (say Paywall notification) Firefox frame becomes inaccessible. Can’t use it. Multiple examples. It’s a JavaScript issue likely. Update: Devs have responded and I have updated to the latest version, and problem persists. It’s less often now, and I don’t have a recent example. Will update the review later. Still not usable. Was a happy user for a while, as now I can’t access the navigation bar after I open the page. Page works and scrolls well, but I can’t see the entry box, or back/forward button no matter how much I scroll up or down. Kill the app, open another site and same issue comes back. Too bad.

Recent update ruined it. I’m moving on from Focus to DuckDuckGo for one important feature - the ability to turn off opening web links in associated apps. The recent Firefox Focus update went from the annoying pop up asking me if I wanted to open Reddit and Yelp and LinkedIn and more URLs in an app to directly opening them in the app, even if I long tapped and chose to open in my default browser. Why does Firefox Focus development team think I cared to use their browser instead of the app in the first place? If I wanted to use the app, I could have opened the app myself. I don’t need you to open the app for me and ruin my half typed efforts in those apps or impact my privacy with those apps. Why do you think I opened your browser? I do not want to open the app! So don’t open the app! Especially when I choose to open in the browser. Once upon a time Firefox was intent on keeping web users in the web and even created Firefox marketplace with html5 apps. Now they seem to have lost it.

Great default browser for the privacy-aware!. I don’t know if we can *actually* keep ourselves private on the web, but at least with this browser (the default browser on my phone & iPad) I don’t usually worry about clicking on corporate data-harvesting links. It’s easy to share a page to other browsers if it don’t need to be quarantined, and otherwise it’s just 1 tap and the whole browser is reset! My only suggestion for improvement (for that 5th star): **Add the option to have more than 4 shortcut links on the start page (even increasing to 8 or 16 links would be a welcome improvement).**

Solving the pressing problems facing people everywhere. I was just in the process of doing a questionnaire that took me to a link. Once I finish the link it would not go back and all was lost. Hi all I hope you're doing well. This is from your manifesto; "solving the pressing problems facing people everywhere. " From your pledge; " We are committed to an internet that includes all the peoples of the earth — where a person’s demographic characteristics do not determine their online access, opportunities, or quality of experience." contrary to your beliefs there are minority, disadvantage, no/low income , and unemployed people that cannot afford new Apple hardware and have to rely on outdated hardware. That being said; can you at least Support hardware running iOS 9? I have a iPad GEN 2 I bought used. Can you make a FAST safe browser for this device? Apple has managed to push all the other good browsers out. I was hoping Mozella would stand behind its good reputation and remedy our problems. Thanks, the disadvantaged

Mozilla devs haven’t fixed the bug. TL;DR – DON’T update to v100 The Mozilla developers still haven’t fixed the most serious bug introduced in the v99 update to Focus. As many, many other reviewers have pointed out, there should be no requirement to authenticate (“touch ID to unlock”) if there is no existing session when returning to Focus. In addition, there should be an option to wipe out any existing session if the user wishes to begin fresh. The requirement to authenticate in every circumstance is MAJOR friction for many people who have posted recent reviews. Please, Mozilla: return the app to its functionality as of v98.1. As things stand, I’m still using that version of the app, but if the terrible Touch ID bug isn’t fixed soon, I will delete Focus and find a replacement. I have no desire to be slowed down by a development team that removes good features and replaces them with friction and bugs.

Back to 5 stars again!. (Updated) Updated to the latest release. Fast start-up and it works normally again with search suggestions enabled. Thanks devs! ----- Following the developer's response, I disabled Search suggestions in the app settings as advised. It worked. No more typing lag. It worked normally again. The 2-sec start up screen remains the same but I'm ok with that. Thanks for working on this, devs! ----- Used to start up immediately. Now there is a 2-sec delay displaying Firefox Focus logo on violet background. Typing in search bar lags and stutters. But aside than that, it's pretty fast at opening and loading websites.

No teeth. Based on reverse tracking tests, this app provides little if any true tracking protection, prevention of meta data gathering, or anonymous surfing. Although the settings imply a significant level of privacy protection, the actual performance on a basic level is wanting. This in turn creates doubt in other claims, specifically data collection for “development” suggesting Tor and VPNs are much more private. There is no current ability to equip the app with add-ons to enhance privacy, making the app very limited considering its claims at the time of installation. This may be a function of Siri integration and Apples data gathering policies, that remains to be seen. Apple has proven to be an intrusive host, I consider iOS a Faustian bargain, comparable to Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc... Nothing is free, the costs are much greater than we perceive. If you are someone who throws caution to the wind, then “run free Little Bob”.

This version of Firefox. I would rate 5 stars for a free search engine or just flat out browser. You can set up your settings as you like. It has so far blocked over 10,000 trackers and has an app easy way to clear your recent history. For those that do not like a browser tracking your every move such as using a basic browser this is a great app. The original Firefox is good I prefer this one better. Why not?? They are both free this app just goes more into depth depending on what you prefer. I have had no problems with with it and have options to choose from what I will allow to track and what I will not.

Ok, but could be better…. The browser seems to work ok for the most part. However there are some issues that need addressed: 1: Multiple tabs!!! - I can’t believe a browser like this one can’t have multiple tabs! I have other privacy focused browsers (such as Brave) and they all support it. The fact that an internet browser in the year 2024 can’t support that is unbelievable, especially considering several browsers have had that implemented for over 20 years!!! 2: “Incompatible browser error”? - Several sites I visit say that “this browser is not supported” or “incompatible browser error”, etc. And I’ve also had certain functions of websites not even work like trying to logout of an account because the log out button will not even do anything. 3: No favorites / bookmarks? - Other privacy browsers (specifically talking about Brave), support syncing and adding favorites and bookmarks. So why can’t this one have it when you’re main iOS version of Firefox has it? I really want to like Firefox Focus, but It’s really hard to when there are so many features missing compared to Brave. I would love to see this app be a direct competitor to Brave (especially because Brave uses Chromium and I don’t want to have to deal with anything tied to Google.) But sadly I might have to make the switch back because of how janky this app is. So for now all I can give this is 2 stars. The app is functional, but lacks basic features and also has some webpages break.

So many settings to increase your Security & with Safari integration. So many settings to increase your Security & with Safari integration (Firefox too) makes for more control and convenience for a great browser experience. Love that the erase data option is right out front, just next to the address bar (instead of hidden so deep within settings, as other browsers do, with sometimes 6-7 steps that one has to scroll through, just to clear history, cookies, cache, & so on). Firefox Focus offers private browsing and tracking protection. (Private browsing deletes cookies when you close the browser window and doesn’t track history. In Firefox, private browsing also blocks tracking cookies by default). When using Firefox Focus, I know it provides a fast, secure, & convenient way to navigate the Internet.

Cool, but why is this necessary?. I’ve been using Firefox for over a decade since a tech savvy friend magiced it in my computer. I thought customizing the browser functions was the key selling point for Mozilla, and minimizing tracking and adds was one of them? Most of the add-ons I’ve used over the years have become irrelevant as Mozilla has incorporated their capabilities into their browser. So while I really like the concept, I’m not sure why it’s necessary? It’s kind of frustrating because of the nature of the app makes it so saved bookmarks and passwords for sites I visit frequently can’t be saved. How is this different from the regular Firefox browser incognito mode or otherwise? Do I now have to have 3 browsers (bc you can’t uninstall Safari on iOS -_-) munching data on my phone if I want a way to save my logins/passwords and a good private browser? Also will there ever be a way to set Firefox as the default browser so we can open links in apps straight to Firefox instead of Safari?

Browser for a new lifestyle. I love this app! I originally downloaded this for the privacy features to limit Google and other tech companies from spying, but turns out this app is really great at one more thing: less is more. This browser is perfect for a minimalist tech life. This app truly declutters my day with its clean design and ability to only manage one tab is all want and need. This may seem backwards in today’s world but this challenged me to use this app as a utility to access the web in a precise way, instead of harvesting countless tabs and garbage I really don’t need. Again, this version of Firefox is not for the power user, but it is great for anyone else.

Class action, anyone?. I am so sick and tired of false claims of privacy by these sell out companies. Despite “strict” setting, and purported wiping of history, deleting caches, etc., it’s a joke. I’m getting ads that are obviously personalized. The cache does not clear, despite promises it does upon exit and even my passwords got accessed thru their use of Google (!!) browser tracking machine. Which brings me to my next point- and i am not a tech person so maybe im misunderstanding — but how can you claim privacy with Google as a browser? (probably the most invasive, tracking machine on Earth)?? And DuckDuckGo - another choice of browser— it’s pretty widely known that its claims of privacy are a joke and consumer fraud (it’s Microsoft - another leviathan collector/reseller of personal data, and also most hackable). Can you please offer a bonefide Tor option ? Or else just drop the conceit of privacy. The consumers not stupid.

Great, but needs tabs. I really like this browser, it's very fast and secure. I've been looking for a new web browser and this one is my new favorite ....except that there doesn't seem to be a feature for multiple tabs. I like to switch between multiple tabs when I'm on a web browser, as I do a lot of research and some schoolwork from my phone. So it's disappointing that such a great browser can only utilize one tab at a time, but maybe that just has something to do with the security features, idk. Just wish we could have several tabs open at the same time. Overall though, it's a very good browser.

Screen-Scroll “jitter-bug”. Overall a solid browser, but the adblocking is essentially as useless as every other browser-based built in blocking. Newest update recently introduced a “jitter bug” in where scrolling up/down on a webpage with pictures/links causes the center of focus to jump slightly up or down after lifting your thumb from the screen. Hadn’t seen this bug before, and tried it on two iPhones different models, but found this to be present in both. It’s possible there is an issue with the newest iOS update, but please get this resolved. Whole purpose of Focus is to Focus.

Can’t copy URLs properly. I love browsing the web and sharing intersting articles with my friends. Every time I copy a URL I get this long convoluted crazy web address that’s 10 times longer than the actual URL. Why? I don’t see any privacy benefit to this. So I wind up having to go to safari or chrome to copy a neat and short address to share with my friends. No one want to receive links that are 300 characters long. It’s looks like a scam website. Ugh. Additionally, I wish I could browse with multiple tabs but that’s not possible with Focus. Not a biggie. Other than that, the browsing speed is great, the interface is clean, and I love that I can erase everything by tapping on the trash bin. Super easy. Thank you Firefox. If you ever fix the URL issue I’d love to give you guys a five star review.

My main web browser. I keep Firefox Focus in the bottom row of my apps, and I always use it first to visit all websites I haven’t registered for. I pick Firefox Focus from other apps’ Share menu, or if the URL is copied to the clipboard, I launch Firefox Focus and paste the URL into the address bar. The sites load faster and without spying on me. If I need to dig deeper, I hand off the site to Safari, Firefox, or Chrome, using the … menu. My only request is that a little more space be added above the top row of the app’s bare-bones keyboard. Now and then I accidentally tap the window above the keyboard, dismissing it and, in some cases, losing all the form data I’ve entered. A little margin for error would be a big help.

Beautiful work, one caveat. Beautiful design, and blocks even the annoying “log in with your google account” on websites when full content blocking is activated. I block fonts too, try for yourself. One usability issue: if used effectively with Firefox Mobile, users need an option to open current page in FF in non-private mode. Currently the link opened via menu in FF Focus will always revert to a private mode page in FF, creating the need for repeated log-ins. This is bad design, please consider. Ideal setup IMHO: FF Focus as default, with one click to open current page in normal FF where cookies are kept not to make users log-in again and again to services like Google, etc.. Another important point: if I said Firefox focus is the default browser the menu link open in the default browser basically reload the page instead of allowing me the option to open the page in safari for example. Kindly allow the option to open the current page in safari. Thank you.

Great solution for Ad/Tracker blocking. I’ve been looking for a free Ad/Tracker blocking solution and have tried 7 different non-Safari apps. Though each had their advantages, I had issues when it came to logging in to sites while browsing. Since Safari is the only browser I have found that integrates with Last Pass on iPhone, I found myself going back to it and putting up with Ads EVERYWHERE, slowing down and cluttering my experience. Though I am not using Firefox Focus as my main browser, FIrefox Focus made it easy to enable Ad Blocking in Safari. Two days in, I couldn’t be happier with the results!

My phone is not overheating anymore. I’m very happy with the app. I downloaded it to see if it would improve web browsing because Safari takes a long time to load certain pages like on yahoo or retail sites. Often it doesn’t get the whole page and Instead gives an error message and it retries to load again. The phone would begin to overheat and the battery would drain. The battery drain also happens with Chrome. I decided to get Firefox and found Focus. The problem literally is solved. I have an iPhone 6 so I know the battery and processor are old. What I didn’t realize is that you need updated ones for all the background data being collected. I would give the app 5 stars but it does have some minor issues on certain sites but I figured it is due to what it makes it so effective. It would be nice if it had a reader mode that could darken the background and the words in white. Overall though it is an excellent app. Thanks y’all.

Amazing. I have used Firefox quantum ,developer ,normal ,beta in my Pc for a while now and I can honestly say that I’m impressed by the work and attention to detail Firefox puts into there products . Firefox focus it’s other perfect example of how Firefox changes the way things work . This browser performs and delivers what it promises . With a simple button you can delete all your history ,it blocks ads and google analytics, and it’s fast . There are some downsides such as you can only have one tab open at the time and there is very little space for customizing. Firefox realized that well some iPhone users prefers the tools safari has to offer like out-filling password and multiple tabs so there is a way to integrate the ad blocking section into safari that way users can have the safari users experience and bring privacy at the same time .

Love minimal, want info on trackers. I love the design, simple yet elegant. the only two things I’d like, would be to remove the small writing at the bottom that tells you how many trackers have been blocked along with a share button. The information is already shown when you click on the top shield icon. The other thing is that I would like to see what trackers were blocked. DuckDuckGo has this feature and I find it very useful and important to see the companies and webpages that obtain our information when not protected. Otherwise, this browser is pretty solid at this time of writing.

Enhanced Tracking Protection Breaks IOS on Ipad. Ipad ios is 16.6. Firefox focus is up to date and worked great until a day or so ago. But now I try to type in the URL line and nothing show up if enhanced protection is on. There seems to be no way to choose individual things to block (like cookies), it’s enhanced protection or nothing. Only if enhanced protection is off can I use firefox focus at all. I thought it might be my keyboard but that works just fine - I’m using it to type this review. So I suspect apple has made some behind-the-scenes change. Or maybe it was mozilla but no other apps besides apple itself have permission to update themselves and even apple’s is limited to “download only”. (Since apple can sneak stuff in anyway I figure it’s apple that caused the problem, but since I really want enhanced protection I hope that mozilla can fix the problem.). Thanks.

The Illuminati Won’t Find Me Now*. If you’re looking for the perfect concoction to poison your wife or the neighbors dog who’s been soiling your lawn I guess this is the app to use. Theoretically they can’t discover your browsing history using Focus when they bring you in for questioning, but just to be certain I’m always on the public library’s WiFi or at a Starbucks when I do my searching. And, just in case they CAN see where I’ve been going, I have the iPad set to self destruct and erase itself after 10 failed login attempts. (Ahhhhhhh, the perfect crime coming up.) *But they aren’t looking for me to start with

Simple, fast and easy. I love the latest update to Firefox Focus. They got rid of a bunch of buttons in the toolbar so all you have now is the address bar and ‘reload page’ at the top and the rest are at the botom of the page. Makes getting right to business in the website fast and convenient, especially for us Voiceover users who have to listen and scroll through each and every thing on a page till we land on what we’re looking for. I also like the autocomplete feature, it saves time on typing. My only wish and reason for knocking my rating down one from a 5 to a 4 is that Firefox Focus would follow Firefox and add the ability to save logins & passwords. This would make Firefox Focus the ultimate browser!

#1 For A Reason!! Firefox is 🎶 Simply The Best...... Better Than All The Rest,🎶 always has been always will be. Firefox is so much MORE when it comes to browsers. My number One favorite already built in is the security protection. No other browser includes state of the art, top of the security protection. There will be NO HACKERS able to penetrate their security and bonus is Firefox constantly keeps it updated or better by protection you, your files, all of it even before a new virus comes creeping on the www. Firefox has us covered. I gotta say Firefox is the platinum standard others try to offer, yes offer you’re offered such and such protection ONLY IF YOU PAY. That’s how other browsers operate, pay, pay, pay and more than likely you will get junk, outdated already. Do yourself and your devices a big favor by installing Firefox on your devices. You will never go back. Why? Because as I said FIREFOX IS SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!

Still a great choice for ad-blocking, and about your only choice for privacy.. If you want to know how private your browser is in 2021, look up EFF Fingerprinting / Cover Your Tracks, which is a non-profit site that will do a legitimate test of your browser’s privacy. Focus will still test better than your other browsers, I guarantee. Edit: Thanks for page search and other new features! Very happy to see Focus receive meaningful, timely updates yet again. Firefox Focus is an absolutely necessary addition to your browser list. You can block ad, social, analytic, and others which if you know what’s up is worth the sacrifice of losing your tabs. Saying the regular Firefox app has these additions by itself or because Focus is installed is ignorant and if you want that question answered you should probably look that up instead of leaving negative a review. Thank you Mozilla for keeping Firefox Focus updated - it is a very refreshing addition to the sea of privacy-invasive apps on iOS, and it easily became my default browser as well. Could we get a way to change our User Agent soon though, please?

Exceeded My Expectations. This browser is so lightweight and quick that when I switched to this from Safari, it was VERY apparent in terms of the speed at which web pages load. That, and I’m digging the in-app content blockers. People complain about not being able to set Firefox as a system-wife default browser, but don’t understand that this isn’t something Mozilla has ANY control over. What you CAN do, though, is hit the share button from safari and open straight into Firefox instead of having to copy and paste links. I would very much like to see support for being able to have more than one tab open, and maybe a “clear browser on exit” option that will scrub the cache folder and/or cookies and history. I love Quantum on my PC, and this is a welcome addition to my phone!

Would like multiple tab switching. This browser is the fastest I’ve ever seen. Much faster than Chrome and even faster than the normal Firefox. That’s why I’m a Firefox user.:) The only thing is that I would like to ask of Mozilla is to add multiple tab switching because it’s very useful for people like me who does loads of research and have to switch between resources. PERFECT OTHERWISE.👍👍👍👍👍

Shortcut function needs improvement. I greatly prefer making shortcuts over keeping a list of tabs on Safari, but I’m not sure why I have to be restricted to 4 at a time. I would like to keep more shortcuts on my list, and find the shortcut I want without scrolling.

Travis. A world with a internet that every one can use unimpeded would be a better one for so many reasons.

Reader mode. Simple, privacy friendly browser. Would love to see deeper integration with DuckDuckGo (ability to set custom DDG settings in the app) and a reader mode similar to the native iOS safari that strips pages back to just the core text.

Firefox Focus Does a Highly Effective Job. Firefox Focus: This no-frills, no-nonsense web-browser is a highly effective tool that accomplishes its web-browsing tasks admirably. Highly recommended.

There’s better. Firefox is a great browser - on PC. But neither this nor the regular iOS version are particularly well-designed. And with DuckDuckGo having a more fully-featured app of their own, this seems a little redundant, though it is great to see companies protecting user privacy.

Great Browser all around. Fantastic browser all around, room for improvement still possible to make it even better.

Address bar on the bottom. It would be awesome to choose to have the address bar at the bottom, like safari does. Thank you

too many websites act solely as a delivery vehicle for adverts. often the blocking methods cause a lot of websites to not function correctly , ff focus has had few if any issues with the websites i visit and the pages functionality remains intact without the ads . Some may argue that the ads pay for content , that maybe true but that is being severely abused by some websites and the long suffering reader puts up with more ads than article so they take action and install something like ff focus. blocks obnoxious ads while maintaining functionality , now if you can do something about embedded webm formats playing natively i would only need one browser.

Crashing. Have been using this for years, wonderful app for the longest time. Recently this has been crashing my phone back to the Lock Screen on session delete. Even a simple google search can crash it, does not follow any logic for large vs small web website browsing. Needs an update but I’m going to search for an alternative

Great app from Mozilla!. Only additional feature it needs is that paste the clipboard when you 3D Touch on the app’s icon. One less step to search something on FF. Similar to Google Translate 3D Touch menu options.

Focus on iOS 12. Can you please continue with security updates for the people who can’t update past iOS 12, many of whom have been your earliest adopters and can’t afford to buy new iPads. Don’t forget your loyal supporters doing it tough financially.

Great. In this day and age of non privacy, any ability to keep something private is an edge. The app does it well, for my usage does not block web sites which I have found on other platforms. Thanks

Good but unstable. I love this browser but it just keeps crashing back to the home screen. Great when it works though.

is good, Good Focus. This app gets you to Focus ... on one thing (tab) at a time which I think it just a brilliant idea! Honestly, try it. My not happiness-es about this app are 2 things: - No Downloading abilities; sometimes I need to be able to save the information I am looking at. - Auto pop-ups; because app is only 1 tab, auto pop-ups will take over that tab and then you end in a loop to nowhere where the single tab you have just keeps getting "auto pop-up hijacked". Thus 4 stars!

Horrible one tab design; WHY?. Good: clean, minimal design. BAD: WHY is it ONLY 1 single window? Why can’t we have multiple tabs? Even limit it to 5 tabs. It’s mind boggling that it only allows 1 window and you can’t have any more tabs. I would not recommend. If it had more tabs, I would (also would rate 5 stars) but it doesn’t so *buzzer* no go (hence only 2 stars). BOO!!!

Non tracking, relevant, free!. Love Firefox, and this one is the best. Can permanently set to no tracking, and no history. Searches are relevant- for my location, and for my needs. Firefox is independent and free - although apparently donations are welcomed.

Needs Default Browser Functionality!. Firefox Focus is easily the best browser available for iOS / iPadOS... Not only does the browser look fantastic, but it’s easy to use and unobtrusive, giving one a seamless browsing experience that is unparalleled. Of course, there is also the “privacy” aspect and whilst no solution is perfect, Firefox Focus makes great strides towards maximising one’s privacy online, without compromising on functionality or (web site) compatibility. One thing that does disappoint me however, is that Firefox Focus cannot be set as the default browser in iOS / iPadOS 14.x or higher... Interestingly, “regular” Firefox already has the ability to be set as the default browser in iOS / iPadOS 14.x or higher. A bug report has been raised on GitHub, however the dates show that this bug report was raised quite a while ago and the Mozilla Development Team have still not even assigned the issue to anybody! For these reasons, I am deducting two stars from my review - one because Firefox Focus lacks basic functionality that most competing browsers have (that is, the ability to be set as the default browser), and another star because the Mozilla Development Team seem disinterested in address this issue. Hopefully this issue will be addressed at some point, and I can update my review accordingly...

UPDATED REVIEW The new update is ridiculously laggy, across all my devices.. As of 20 November 2022. UPDATE As of 25 November, When I turned off search suggestions in settings, all the lagging stopped. Thanks for the solution guys. 🤝 Another update; On the 2nd of December, problem’s solved. Thanks guys!

Needs to reflect base Firefox ver number. Browser works fine although not sure why we can't have the option for tabs. Biggest problem is websites think it's a very old version of Firefox and complain about it. If based on a later version of Firefox it should reflect that to websites or report itself as clearly a different browser.

Excellent. I’ve become a big fan of Firefox after trying to remove myself from Google’s products as much as possible and this browser is a great replacement for chrome, much better in fact.

Fast, safe, private. A fast, easy to use browser that feels secure and looks great. Pre-set for privacy, the user doesn’t have to spend ages tinkering with settings to get the right fit. If you love fiddling with settings you’ll hate FF. If you just want to get on with your secure browsing, you’ll love it.

What a wonderful search engine.. Firefox focus is everything a search engine should be. And it’s great to how that those trackers are blocked. Privacy should be about privacy and this app provides just that. And a great browsing experience. Recommended.

Needs tabs. Popups that firefox cant block always open as a new page on the same tab, and because popup ads almost always have a site in between that quickly redirects to the new page, its near-impossible to go back to where you were, leaving you no option but to erase and navigate all the way back, not to mention if you lose all the loaded data on the page you were originally on.

5⭐️ v122.1 Thank you Devs for fixing the Startup bug. Thank you Devs for fixing the Startup bug that was introduced by v122. Its great to have your wonderful App operating as normal again 👍🏻 Much appreciated! 🥰

Nice browser. I use Firefox Focus because it is not possible to install add ons to Firefox on iOS which makes it troublesome to use if you care about basic privacy hygiene in modern internet. Focus is not ideal, I still prefer flexibility of e.g. uMatrix on desktop, but it does what it is supposed to do. I like single tab approach, general filtering features, stable builds.

Perfect default browser. Been using this for years. The best part (beyond the ad blocking in-app, as well as safari) is that it only has a single tab so, when used as the default, stops you from building a massive list of open tabs. This forces you to consciously save a tab you want to keep (I open it in another browser, save to my bookmark manager, or add a task in my todo manager).

Experience REAL privacy. First of all, I really like how The Firefox web browser is displayed on my screen. It look really neat and it’s very fast. It clears your browsing history every time you clear your recent apps; for privacy purposes(although some may not like the feature). And I’m very satisfied. My favourite web browser so far! :)

A Helpful Device. I have just started to use this product and I am very happy with the results that I have gotten My business works with people who pass on very private information which is protected by our security system by having this product working with our system it has lessened the working duties

Much better then Safari. Quick, simple and easy to use. Gets rid of a lot of the adds and doesn’t have loading issues like Safari

Awesome. Good to rid myself of Safari. Good easily chosen functions. Good blocks ads. Good to use a search engine I like. Still more to learn. Tho I use Firefox on my iPad and MacBook. Always liked it so I’m biased!

Unable to use multiple tabs. I’m using an iPhone 11 with iOS 14.2. This app feels great, fast and easy to use. But there is NO option at top or bottom of page to open a new tab. Holding a link gives option to copy etc, but not open on a new tab. All online instructions say to open a tab hit the plus icon. Simple but here is no icons. If this can be rectified it’s be a great application.

Love it!. Amazing, after so much exposure to google, Firefox is like breath of fresh air, very easy to navigate around the browse and also the add on products that I have also for. It feel safe and haven’t had any issues yet with the app.

Open links in Focus from other apps should not require Touch ID. There is no reason to require Touch ID if not revealing previous loaded content. Currently when opening link in Focus via share sheet, if I press "new session" instead of completing Touch ID, I'm presented with landing page rather than the link I wanted to load. Erase and load the link would be a better solution.

Quick stop to ad tracking. It’s a must have for people looking to be a little more in control of the information they share with big-tech.

Awesome for private people. I love this App. I am very protective of my privacy and my digital footprint and I love feeling like I can research things of interest, read whatever I like and it isn’t going to be used as data for corporations to label or pigeon-hole me and target advertising at me. I wholeheartedly recommend Firefox Focus!

My most frequently used browser. Non distracting fast n efficient while protecting privacy

Amazed by NOT having tabs. Using Firefox Focus for a week and I didn’t realise how many new tabs would be opened from general browsing. Having just one window really keeps me focused!

Good privacy but no tabs. I downloaded Firefox Focus before I ever downloaded the standard Firefox browser on my phone or computer. I liked the theme of the browser and how it was minimalist and sleek. I like the bookmark system, known as “shortcuts” in Focus, and how it is very easy to use. I realised early on however the fact that you can’t have multiple tabs open and you can only have one website open at once. I presume this is part of the privacy features and makes it easier for the systems of the browser to help keep your data safe but other ad-blocking browsers like Opera can have multiple tabs (yet to be fair the extent of Operas privacy controls is less than Focus). In conclusion I like the browser but it could use some more features and tabs but I love the privacy and safety features. 4 stars, would’ve given it 5 if no for the lack of tabs.

Good but.... I love how fast it is and it has a very smooth design but I agree with some of the other reviewers who say it needs a multiple tab option. Personally, I tend to jump back and forth between tabs so it would be great if you added that, but overall you’ve done a great job 👌👌

Everything you want. Does what it says it should. Wouldn’t recommend anything else to use with duckduckgo and built in privacy of focus on even safari etc. 5/5

Page zoom. Latest update- you have messed with page zoom - Take a page that you can’t zoom on in Firefox Focus - open it up in Safari- zoom works so much for the visually impaired huh ! Please fix this

Finally!. This browser is exactly what you need to keep your web experience minimised.

Why can you not have more than 1 tab open?. Highly inconvenient to not be able to have multiple tabs open, sometimes I have to close my tab because of this, if I can’t press back into the previous page. But the rest of the app is great. Would be 5 stars if not for the tab issue.

Saved my money. I use Firefox as my internet browser. I have been getting scam calls and internet attempts. Not one scam has been taken because of Firefox protection

Great!. Such an efficient browser! I got sick of having to clear my history, and tabs on others and the speed was often slow. This is super fast, easy and my go to!

Lag bug. Experiencing lag issue when typing in the search bar. App start up time is slower, too. Edit: Yes thank you for the update! No more lag

Exactly what I needed. Easy to use and simple to manage tabs. Would like to have the ability to save shortcuts/bookmarks on a one touch home menu. My only suggestion so far 5/5

Brilliant Privacy Browser. This app has a singular purpose - as a throwaway internet browser. Honestly, even if it didn't natively block trackers, etc. the ease-of-use trash can button is great. My use-case is that it's connected to my Reddit and various newsfeed apps; open an article, read it and then clear it, thereby allowing me to circumvent the mess of trackers endemic in modern news sites. My only issue is that when the app is opened by another app in order to load a website the trashcan button is fused into the omnibar, I have to tap the bar and tap away again for it to fix itself. Otherwise this app is perfect.

Firefox superb. I am so happy to use Firefox browser everyday. It brings info quickly without any issues and it doesn’t bring out ads. Fantastic app for browsing and communication.

Doesn’t work. As the title suggests. All the video and content hosting sites I visit are still ladened with annoying or inappropriate and invasive ads. Ads that rip control away from the users are the most prevalent and this app can’t even prevent that. All the apps in the app store needs to add a function to allow users to select ads manually to block through a context menu at the website or use pre-made curated blacklists to stop the most common ads.

Amazing app, recommended. My favourite web browser.

Nice app. Great for privacy

Loss of functionality. I don’t like this new version. Where are the shortcuts to erase history etc. ? Give me back the old one which gave me significantly more control.

Yes. My house burned down after downloading this app 🇫🇯🇳🇪

No whitelist feature makes it useless. There are frequent sites I visit that are broken because of focus. The only way to fix them is to reload without content blockers. This is annoying as I would rather just white list the site themselves.

sell outs. you'll soon see. lies ontop of lies. sad to see mozilla bullied by the big 3!

Firefox Focus. The app freezes at times. Most often during YouTube videos when commenting or when browsing the comment section. Also when “like”ing a comment then the comment section freezes and only page reloads unlocks the section.

Multiple Tabs. Need to be able to open multiple tabs. Would be 5 star is this was a feature.

Doesn’t block ads. It doesn’t block ads at all.

Quick and Easy. This app is great for quickly searching for information and then clearing erasing website data, cache and history.

Changing my review to 1 star. - No tabs (deal breaker - uninstalled) - No night mode Otherwise it would be the best browser based on privacy and speed alone. Sad!

I’m not a robot. Having to prove 5 times in a row that I’m not a robot with tiny blurry pictures is insane. Third is not real security and means that I’m switching browsers.

Browser for privacy conscious! A+. Add Focus to your arsenal! If you're reading this review then Privacy is likely something you value... so go ahead and download Focus - a very minimal and extremely concise web browser, if used properly - letting you get things done quickly, while respecting as much of YOUR Privacy as have set up on the platform you are using (iOS duh). Keep up the amazing work Mozilla! Now, on to the next question? How much do you trust Apple with your daily life? More then Google? =) Sincerely, Your Virtual Pal

Does not block ads on youtube, unlike other adblockers. As title says

Firefox focus. Always Terrific.

Work great but big issue,. It’s very nice and I use this as my main browser if there’s one HUGE issue. You can’t have tabs. This has left me having to use safari is I want to actually keep tabs which is extremely annoying and frustrating.

Its not working. Its not blocking ads same like ordinary browser.

Great. 5/5 stopped using it after I got exactly 69000 trackers blocked

Leaks ads and pop ups like a termite eaten canoe.. One of the websites I use for blogging has started doing ads and pop ups like crazy. While this app says it blocks those, it took me all of 30 seconds of testing to find that is inaccurate sadly. Not only did it not stop the ads and pop ups, it didn’t even load the page properly. The only thing that loaded right was the things I was trying to stop. Ah well. Is what it is. Update: got a response from the devs with a link to support. There is absolutely nothing there related to my issue of ads and pop ups not being blocked outside of a few others saying something similar. Wish there was a browser out there that actually worked for that as trackers, pop ups, and redirects on most sites have become malware and spyware in their own right, where we the users and our information are the product being bought and sold by these companies.

No tabs! Doesn’t block ads.. It’s hard to do much focused browsing these days without tabs. And, although the description says it blocks ads, it isn't blocking Google and YouTube ads. Other than that, it has a very nice interface, but those are deal breakers for me. :/

Good but needs a few options. For security reasons, need to be able to see whole url by default , toggle on off. Option to change from default pink color? I’m not a girl after all. Any color should be option but dark Grey would be best.

Needed tabbed browsing. Is it possible to get tabbed browsing integrated?

delete your whole app. 🤬 youtube will sign me out if i dont have the page open 24/7

Super cool. This app is great I just put in my ID and I’m there

Love it!. Firefox Focus is wonderful. I love knowing that my data is staying private and that corporations are not tracking and selling my info. Everyone needs to use products like this and take back their privacy.

It’s like regular Firefox, but better!. Cause it’s more private n’ blocks ads n’ stuff.

Works only on web pages, not YouTube. Good: It can block most web page ads. Bad: 1) cannot change font size of a web page, which is important for iPad 12.9 inch reading, fonts are too small. 2) cannot block YouTube ads. 3) in YouTube, you cannot go to full screen mode. 4) web loading is a little bit slow, but not confirmed with tools. Useless. Hope developers keep on improving it.

I miss the older version l am not sure how to work this one. I like it but how do u open a new one l really miss my older version

Usually great but this version buggy. This recent update frequently crashes and with no history need to search and find were left off. Also could not find button in app to report issues.

False advertising. 1 - defaults aren’t set to block everything 2 - defaults send analytic data 3 - doesn’t stop ISP tracking 4 - no tabbed browsing 5 - cannot disable JavaScript 6 - changing some defaults to more secure settings gives popup warning about how it will “adversely affect your experience” TLDR: 10% added security (ad-blocker) 90% false sense of security 1,000% false promises about protecting your privacy

Ads appear all over the place. Since last week, ads have started to show on some of the pages I am visiting. Most notably news and sports websites (Marca, dailymail, BBC sports, POPSUGAR). This was never the case with this app. I uninstalled and installed it again but still the same issue. Pop ups have also come back with a vengeance. This one in particular is enraging because this app only supports 1 tab at a time so it will directly send you to the pop up and in full screen mode! You can’t use back btn because it doesn’t work so your only option is to close the app and re-do everything again. The FAQ doesn’t help one bit, it doesn’t even discuss the issues I mentioned. Extremely disappointed and that’s putting it mildly.

Amazing. Best browser to use if you want to avoid spending too much time on social media.

Adblock does not work. YouTube is showing ads as usual.

Invaded by Google. Today I was invaded by Google, no choice of anything. H

Great Browser. It is awesome browser it lets me know when it’s a fake web site by not being able to find the server cause I use the best free dns server with my browser which is cloudfare along with this browser gives you ultimate protection for your internet connection and access to the greatest browser around

Should come with every phone.. All phones should come with Firefox Focus. By default, it’s configured to block all standard methods of tracking user’s movements across the web, as should all browsers. If you want to use a feature that only works if you allow a product to track your online movements (Facebook for example) then you can do so in an instant. However, I rarely need to anymore. Well done Mozilla!

Why would you move the refresh button?. This was one of my favourite parts of the interface, why was it moved to such an awkward place? And why is the trash icon now at the bottom of the screen where the refresh button was? If I’m going to wipe the browser and type in a new URL then Im going to be up at the top anyway. Why not just leave it up there and keep the refresh button at the bottom where I’m more likely to keep my hand while navigating a site?

Work related reviews. Can’t open them due to this protection

UI problem and no tabs - not for serious users. Every time I try to seriously use Focus to get information, I ended up switching browser. The problems? 1) The back button disappears. The UI has problem. 2) only 1 tab. That aside, it is missing JavaScript blocker like NoScript.

As others have said.... Desperately needs an ad blocker. Youtube is totally unusable.

Great for those one of searches you do all the time, alas now crashes. Have used this for 2? Years now, love it for the quick little things without having to worry about closing tabs and cache and stuff. Yet recent updates on even a new iPhone and it crashes often. Now annoying as much as helpful.

App review. Well done ! Use this app in many ways

Pretty good. Unless it’s based on safari, in which case it may provide some privacy but the underlying safari does not.

Focus. Not what it claims to be.. I do appreciate the always on ad blocking... and the ability to clear the browsing history easily. However that alone is a poor measure of privacy. It does have one more plus point - it does support TLS 1.3. On the CON side - This so called privacy browser does not use DNS over https, does not validate DNSSEC, and does not employ encrypted SNI. So how can it be a privacy browser if your isp is allowed to continue monitoring everything one does?

Needs a PIN. Needs a Pin/Fingerprint protection feature. Other then that, Beautiful interface, easy to use. I’d also like to see bookmarks.

Login. Not keeping login so useless for me.

When is the update that brings adblocking back?. Doesn’t block at all, and it’s only getting worse. I’m not sure if this has been abandoned or what, but this doesn’t block pop ups, take overs, ads on the page, intrusive auto play video, not even banner ads. It’s useless.

Still allows ads in YouTube.. Useless browser.

Love Mozilla. Firefox (and Mozilla) are so essential to the internet now more than evert because it is the last line of defense keeping Google from having a completely monopoly in the browser space (almost all other browsers are based on Blink and Chromium, Google’s open source basis for Chrome) & while I love some of these browsers society needs an alternative browser (& web engine) for so many reasons. Please support Mozilla by using Firefox on any platform you can, it really is faster than Chrome and so much better for user privacy.

Very disappointed.. In checking privacy history, I give it 4 stars. Maybe it deserves 5? I was definitely able to eliminate invasive tracking by entities not invited by me, but tail tagging with popular sites, constituting uninvited compromise of privacy. A+ for this aspect. HOWEVER, I’ve not been able to figure out how to add more than 4 favorite URLs to my home page. The first 4 were easy, so I couldn’t possibly be missing a procedural step. Very aggravating. I also cannot choose my level of history retention, which is EXTREMELY aggravating. I’m guessing retention of history culminates into eventual privacy breach?? Still, it’s very frustrating to lose sites I want to retain.

ADHD adults need this A+ 10/10 browser. I’ve tried every main stream iOS and iPadOS browser, and still use and have each of them installed on my two phones and iPad, and I am so glad I finally changed Firefox Focus to my default browser. I don’t have to worry about closing a bunch of extra tabs or getting distracted going through history or reading list or updating bookmark collections etc. etc. this is the browser for people who want to do the thing instead of talk about doing the thing.

Thank you!. Okay so this is so cool! I honestly just got this app at first because I’m really paranoid and feel like someone might steal my identity or something anyway I got it along with a bunch of other apps and the rest all costed 6.99 a month this one on the other hand didn’t cost anything didn’t ask me to sign up to something. It just worked and I love it! I don’t even use safari anymore this is just like it but better anyways just wanted to say thank you so much to the developers, you guys just made my day!

Less safe after update, ironically. Needs an option to ALWAYS require unlocking if there are bookmarks, even when no window is open. We now have the great option of saving favorite/bookmarks for easy access, but the app doesn’t force unlocking if bookmarks are not open. Anyone with access to the phone can open Firefox Focus and just jump into my bookmarks without any issue of there was no open browser window, which could be very problematic. Please add this option, Mozilla.

A True Grail. +lightweight +low battery use, even using it as a video player +-privacy focused; Firefox Focus (FFF) makes it easy to follow threads of thought, but you will have to remember what you find if it’s important +no to few ads, depending on the website +the only prompt I recall seeing is to review, which I have to say is infrequent, and is entirely unrelated to this review +does not require you to update the app depending on iOS version nor app version +-sometimes websites won’t be configured correctly, but that seems to be on the website designer’s end/ a Firefox based problem I can browse for 5 hours in a day, and watch YT videos for 3 of those, and the app drain (based on Apple’s battery breakdown) is consistently below 10%. For being an all-in-one web browser, video player, novel reader, etc. FFF is a great solution to the contemporary problem of poor app design.

I feel like MoMo my little Fox is all grown up, so proud☺️. Mozilla has been the best browser on the market for user privacy, page interface, speed, and security since, well since it was released originally like 10 years ago!!! We got a few odd versions back in the day, mainly just overprotective adobe and pop-up protocols or weird interface. But hey, they were just looking out for their users. Keep doing what you do Mozilla. You’re truly the browser by the people for the people!

Screen space firefox. I wasn’t going to write a review however, The dialog box for app review won’t close on my iPhone 11. There’s got to be some setting to get around the situation. But otherwise I find this interface too different from basic Firefox and not intuitive. I want to close a tab but there are no tabs I have to delete the whole page. So I’m a little confused. Do you want me to write a review. At least the dialog box is closed :-)

Fantastic. Fantastic, does exactly what i need it to do. One thing: since the last update, if i navigate to another app away from an open page in the browser, often when i come back back Firefox crashes. I end up needing to reopen the app and start over. This happens on both my phone and iPad. Its not a big deal since this browser deletes session info on closing anyway, but thought I would report it just in case.

It’s nearly perfect!. This is nearly the perfect browser for me. It’s just…simple. It does not feel like a copy cat of every other browser (since they all have to use Safari backend), and it’s really fast. I kept looking for Safari privacy-orientated browsers on IOS like Brave, DuckDuckGo, etc but I always seem to come back to this browser. If you have any doubt, just go for it! The only complaint I have does not justified less then 5 stars, but pleeease add Reader Mode support!

Fast, private, minimalist. Perfect.. Read the full description on the App Store that Mozilla wrote about this browser. This is all true. There’s not a ton of bells and whistles, but do you really need those bells and whistles? This is a privacy-based, secure browser with speed surpassing Chrome. It’s my default, and it should be yours too. I find Brave to be laggy and bogged down with features I never use. In my opinion, Focus is the best mobile browser you can have on your device. Bonus: As expected, it’s open source. Thank you Mozilla. 10/10.

Keyboard delay (updated). Love the browser and the sense of security it brings but, since the latest app update there’s been a delay in keystrokes. After a few days It’s become a nuisance and have since decided to revert back to Safari. Response to Developer Question: Yes! The keyboard lag goes away if I disable search suggestions. Thank you so much for the response and communication, it’s much appreciated! Updated to 5 stars No more delay with latest update. A world class team. Thank you

It allowed web site to disable controls. 1. They opt-in their own tracking by default. They give you the choice…to remove the tracking that they’ve preloaded opt’d in. Be aware. Read the fine print. Browser is okay. 2. Hitting the Denver Post web site from duck duck go, the site spit out a page requiring payment for using a private browser … this browser allowed the site to take over the browser-control and only 2 ways out of the page we’re to close the browser or pay the fee. Ridiculous for a browser to permit this. Should have allowed to rather back out or to close the offending site, keeping the original search queued. Uninstalling.

Does not stop webpage from redirecting ads.. This app use to stop webpages from redirecting to an advertisement. Now, since the new update, it doesn’t prevent this, even though I made sure the settings were turned on to block tracking and ads. For instance webpages with multiple video content will sometimes redirect me to a different page with ads. Cake app for instance prevents this from happening with their settings for viewing the same webpage and it’s content, but i’d prefer this app because of the easy and quick accessible Trash can for deleting browsing history. Will change rating once this is fixed.

Default Browser. Firefox Focus is my default browser on my iphone. The simplistic, minimalist design is for me, there are not a bunch of tools that I have no need of. I also like that each time I open the browser I start fresh, if I want something stored I save it as a favorite myself, and only having four favorite slots keeps things clean. Could you please create a Firefox Focus browser for desktop osx? I would make it my default there too.

Fantastic when it works as intended, but it straight up crashes my phone.. Hi, review reader. If you’re just some guy considering installing FF Focus, go for it. I’m sure this has probably been fixed by now. If you’re at all involved in the development of this sucker though… girl help. I’m bringing this up in a review because I couldn’t find a better way to submit a bug report. I’m on an iPhone 13 mini running iOS 15.1.1, which I reckon to be pretty reasonable specs. If they’re unsupported, that’s no me, have a great day. When I go to erase my history and current page, there’s a non-insignificant chance that my phone will crash to the Lock Screen, though it doesn’t seem like it needs a full reboot. Seems to happen more when I’ve been on a longer browsing session, though it’s happened just on Google searches before. I hope you have a good one, gamer.

Leave me the ads. This is my go to browser for searches of all kinds. It’s clean. It’s fast. It stops much of the tracking problem. It doesn’t get cluttered up with forgotten open tabs. The one problem I have is that it blocks all ads, too. I don’t care for ads, but I do want to support the sites I use, and ad revenue is important to them. Keeping the non-tracking ads can help train content providers to make their dime without stepping on our privacy—otherwise, we’ll just see paywall after paywall after paywall.

Great app, want settings for multiple tab. In terms of security, this is probably the go-to smartphone application, and it very nicely balances privacy and speed. Even so, the app would benefit from a great deal more settings, such as turning on multiple tabs and whether they will be maintained even when the app is closed. In addition, the privacy would benefit from settings that more specifically target cookies and supercookies, and give the user the option of faking some of their system information to trackers.

Can't Stop Admiral. You wanna be an ad-free browser, you gotta get ahead of Admiral. For now, at least, they're ahead of you. I'm trying to find a mobile browser that can actually block ads because I want to play some games on the Publishers Clearing House website. They are partly ad-supported and I understand that, but they show a lot of ads with very fast animation and that is a seizure risk for some people who are subject to seizures, like me. Since they started using the Admiral anti-adblocker, I can't find any mobile browser that can still block these physically unsafe ads. Thought this one might be the exception, since it's built in. No such luck.

It works. Being new to iPhone, I had a feeling I was stuck with ads popping up, under, over and in front of just about anything I tried to view regardless of everything I tried. This just works. Skip all the other stuff that says it blocks ads and go to settings and allow this extension and do this blah blah blah. None of it worked. Save yourself some time, energy and a whole lot of frustration and just use this.

Please allow multi tab. Really great app - I really want to give 5 stars because it is so fast and lightweight with no clutter, but I’m not seeing any way to open a second tab, which might be a deal breaker for me. Without multi tab functionality, it cannot become a go-to browser. Halfway through one page, if I need to look something up, I need to navigate away and then keep clicking back to get back to where I previously was. I think most people are downloading this for the privacy and ad blocking focus rather than focusing on only one webpage.

Scrolling blocked = app unusable. Reddit and many other sites are shadily putting up pop-ups to promote their mobile apps and create accounts (very disrespectful to privacy) These popups block scrolling and in Firefox Focus, that means you completely cannot interact with the browser any more! the whole UI is hidden away automatically by scrolling, and once the popup pops up you cannot unscroll, and have to quit and restart. Either the UI should be visible all times or it should not be possible for a website to block scrolling.

My Go To. Firefox has been my browser of choice on my desktop for years before I found this app and decided to give it a shot because it is made by the same company that makes my favorite desktop browser. At first I was skeptical about the lack of tabs and at times that is a pain if you are trying to keep a page open and want to search something else. But other than those moments I have absolutely no complaints about this app. Here are the main things I love about this app. 1: Super fast to open and load pages and just fast all around. 2: Built in ad blocking and privacy protection makes scrolling through the web a much better experience. 3: Simplicity, It’s not trying to shove Ai crap down my throat or any other useless features every time I open the app. Minimalist and simple. 10/10

Thanks. I wrote this to you beforehand we maid” Her” This Browses Like Me. Ryan D White. I said to you all I wanted this because it don’t track any one. All tho people put VR Too it and it started messing up the tracking part. Any way this is what I message you all at first. You asked “i”why I wanted to be a developer for Firefox I know I have been hidden for some time now. My name is Ryan. The D is For Dylan’s An white is for Well Me. I think we said plz and thanks at the end of are convocation. Meeting up for the first time would be great.

FavIcons why these are used as trackers. Was five stars now two due to favicons Adding favicons allows websites to potentially track the user Firefox either needs to put in a toggle to allow the user to turn them off or better yet remove them from the app From Gizmodo For instance, researchers now claim that a website’s favicon can be used to stealthily track users in a way that’s difficult to shake off. Update: Firefox reaches out wanting more info- what’s so hard to understand- favicons can be used as supper tracking cookies Firefox focus should remove support for then period. Now one star because when the developer asked for feed back via email all of the links are ether broken or lead to useless user support site 😡

Great so far. I’ve only been using Firefox Focus for about two weeks now. I use it for my financial transactions such as banking and bill pay. I have not seen an increase in the amount of spam or junk mail coming into my email inbox. In fact I’ve seen the amount of junk mail and spam decreasing, which is always a good thing. Will continue to report back as I continue to use Firefox Focus. Will also update the number of stars to reflect any decline in my assessment of this app.

Resets your preferences after every update. Cannot reliably change the default search engine. They reset user preferences and change your chosen default search engine to some other one with worse results that’s packed full of ads. You have to re-enter settings after updates to remove it just so they can add it back and set it to your default again. STOP SHOWING ME ADS ON SEARCH FIREFOX FOCUS. I do not want your scummy search engine preferences.

Wish there was a tab option. I love the concept of this browser and understand it is meant to be clean and simple. However I still think the ability to open in a new tab is very necessary. To remove that feature makes it feel old and outdated - how long has it been since you could only have one browser window open at a time? Also this does not appear to stop websites that address redirect or open a ton of pop ups, so instead of a new tab it takes over your current (only) window and you have to go back into the history to try and get back to where you were… ultimately, only for it to happen again. Please add a simplified tab feature.

Wonky Address Bar. When visiting sites that allow for an all-screen popup inside the tab/window with some html banner for any reason, I am unable to access the address bar. I have to swipe back as I cannot even go to settings or anything. I also understand focus' goal of eliminating tabs but I don't think it's going to work well for me. I still have sites I need to open a new tab with and the lack of any ability to do so is simply not something I can keep doing. Not a bad browser app, but definitely room for improvement. The first is why the stars are few, the second will probably keep me from using it again, sadly. Wish I could make do but alas it would seem I cannot.

Great app! You keep up all the great support haven't seen anywhere else.. I’ve used this app for a week now and at first I didn’t know how to use it but after great support I am very excited. I've now had to update after about a month and I'm not disappointed. I liked the simplicity of the application and the contents available to help navigate and tools for learning are in the interest of everyone. This makes a huge difference. Never used any browser with the support that's always there. Great addition to the Firefox browser family.

O-M-G!!!. Firefox focus is by far the best browser on earth. The user interface is easy to use, tap the trash can and your search history goes bye bye, and the privacy that this app offers is second to none. Let’s not forget the color theme. Very upscale and pleasant to the eyeballs. I enjoy my privacy from idiots on the internet who want to be nosy. All of my banking, shopping, and bill paying are done with FireFox Focus. Why? Because unlike Google, Mozilla, the company that owns FireFox, actually has our best interests at heart. Great job devs. Great job indeed!

Fail proof during network hack. Our home network was majorly hacked, to the point that you couldn’t even click through the internet because of all the redirects to malware pages. The regular Firefox app was even compromised because it would save little bits of data to the Firefox folder on iPhone. This browser still worked through everything, it literally saved me at one point when I could tell they were trying to get into my google account but I couldn’t get to the site on regular Firefox app. LIFESAVER

Privacy is assured. I got Firefox focus hoping to keep my browsing data away from as many people as possible and I will say that focus gives you that because every time you close the browser it instantly erases the data even when inconvenient. I was browsing like normal and closed the browser but didn’t mean to and lost what I was searching. Firefox focus runs very well and efficient just as good as google if not better because it respects you privacy. I use Firefox and Firefox focus and recommend them both.

The only good mobile browser. My phone's browser is used for quick searches when I'm out and about. I don't want desktop feature parity on my phone, I want features that fit into the context a mobile device is for and nothing more. Firefox Focus is a browser that aligns with that principle, and as such is the only browser that makes any sense on a smartphone. The privacy features are a nice bonus.

Powerful and private. The nicest thing about this browser is that it has no frills and cuts down on clutter. Well it has all the features that you would want. It blocks all the trackers and other things that websites use to invade your privacy. I use it on my iPhone and my iPad and it just works. No crashes. Nothing to get in the way of simply browsing the Internet. By the way, the touch ID feature keeps others from snooping to see what you’ve been doing on the Internet, but they can still use the browser themselves and have their own session.

Needs some work on UI Options. Appears to be Better than Safari, as far as security goes; am still learning to use it. User Interface seems a bit quirky; then again, my all-time favorite browser is iCab/iCab mobile—I’m therefore spoiled and easily prone, to default back to iCab. OTOH, when it’s impossible to access specific (passive-aggressive anti-icab) websites, (including Apple), My primary choice(s) are rarely Safari. Thusly, when forced out of icb, Ffx Focus, is my 2nd choice. The problem is, I’ve yet to learn all its Capabilities. Bottom line: until proven otherwise, in spite of its quircky interface, Ffx Focus remains my secondary go-to Browser.

Best Search ever made!!. I’ve used a lot of search engines (Gopher, Google, bing, Firefox, Safari, IE, and Qwant) This search engine gets it done, is snappy on the searches has amazing features that can’t be competed with. Check out the extra features for yourself folks! I’d also recommend this to my grandma or older generation because it’s just that user interface friendly. Good job Devs!! Please keep this app and it’s features updated and supported because I don’t want to use any other browser now.

Wish it would let me view link urls. One of my browsing habits is to look at the url of links in order to decide if I want to open them. Often times I don’t, because I can tell from the url that the site won’t be helpful. Every other browser accepts a long tap to do this but Firefox Focus changes this behavior. It offers no url or contextual menu (Read Later would be a nice touch, since prioritization aids focus) and instead just opens the link whether I want to or not. It’s incredibly frustrating and makes me want to not use it. Also, the magenta gradient bothers me. iOS dark mode is nicer.

Please auto-highlight-all when tapping URL. I’ve been using Focus for a while now, and I have mostly great things to say about it. The only negative feedback I have about it now is thta when I tap the URL it doesn’t highlight the entire URL. This makes it extremely annoying if I just want to go to a new page, because now I have to activate the URL bar, either click “x” or double tap to get the whole URL to highlight before I can type the new URL. This also isn’t easy to do with one hand anymore.

Needs a little developer attention to be good. This app is a good foundation - I use it as my default phone browser and as a content filter for Safari. Unfortunately, it seems that the developer doesn't pay much attention to this app, as there are some pretty obvious deficiencies being ignored that you quickly notice when using it regularly. Here are a few: No way to copy links by long-holding them. No way to save images by long-holding them. "Open in Safari" does not work unless Safari is your default browser. Copying the URL often does not work. Usually, it copies some URL from your history, but not the current one. Tracking Protection settings apply only to browsing within this app - they don't affect when this is used as a Safari content filter. There's lots of little things like this - these are just a few I remember right now. Meanwhile this app is infrequently updated with small changes. It really needs a lot more attention, as it has a lot of promise.

should have the old tap hold and open feature. haven't been using this for very long jus two to three weeks but it sure is fast and safe. but there is one thing that u guys need to add. In the original firefox on mobile i can hold down a video i want to see and then a bunch of options about what i want to do pops up. I'm a fan of u guys since u guys strongly believe in privacy. and i really like that u guys protect my data. i jus wish that u guys bring back that old feature. i can't open all the porn tabs from a single site without having to overcomplicate things and figure out which one i already have open. hope u take this into consideration. P.S Don't sell me out

Fantastic privacy focused browser. Firefox focus has become my daily browser. It’s fast, lightweight, and automatically blocks so many ads and trackers. Note to the devs: the most recent update has a bug (new feature?) where the URL is not selected when you click the URL bar so when you type, it appends to the existing URL instead of overwriting it. If this is intended, I really prefer the old behavior as I can’t really imagine an instance where I’d want to append to my current URL. Keep up the great work!

Blocks others ads, but not Google’s.. It blocks ads on other search engines like DuckDuckGo, All the Internet, Ecosia, Startpage, Ask, AOL Search, MetaGer, OneSesrch, etc… but on its default search with Google it has ads, piles of ads. That just seems sketchy. You block other websites ads but let ads that make you money through? How are those companies suppose to pay for the website hosting, employees and content? This is how big businesses put small businesses out of business. Content is not free, there is a cost associated with it and you obviously know that because you collect the revenue from Google. I got news for you, once Google uses you up, to do their bidding, they will turn on you faster than you can blink, only then will Mozilla get the Karma it so deserves.

Constantly having to disable just to browse the web. I’m a privacy geek. I have Dashlane VPN and I used this app as a content blocker in safari for as long as it’s been around. Unfortunately, every other website I try to browse has important content, not ads, blocked by this content blocker, rendering the site unusable. I have to constantly “disable content blockers for this site” just to browse. It’s become a habit of mine in safari. Today was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I was browsing a shop online and literally the entire website was blocked by this content blocker. Save your time and frustration. This app is not worth the effort it takes to hit the “Get” button. I’m deleting as soon as this review is published.

Password unknown. I just started registering to volunteer so created account. Going along I see a 20+ character long password is registered to my account. That is nowhere near the 11 character password I registered. Now I’m trying to change it and got an error message that I’ve Tried too many times, try again in 15 minutes. I tried once. I’m not so sure I want to volunteer with Focus now. Or maybe this is a reflection of how badly needed are volunteers.

Give yourself a break from it all: focus, focus on FOCUS. Full transparency: I am a little obsessed with ad/tracker blockers. I have examined several browsers that add a ad/traffic blocker settings. I could recommend some. But Focus gives me everything it can for relief built in and built for a guy like myself. Let me explain. I am 76 years old. I am a retired/recovering cobol programmer. I spend about 8 hours a day on my iPad-reading,listening, watching. My 76 old eyes could not handle the ad jumps into my reading. The thing that made my day worthwhile was injuring my eyes. Not to mention the trackers are-well-creepy. That yucky feeling about being tracked did not help my declining years either. I love the way Focus cleans up your session. I hit the trash icon and feel the cookies crumbling. It’s like Firefox assembled everyone and said “let’s make browser for that old obsessive on Cape Cod” I would have paid a lot for this.

Pressing The Refresh Icon In Top Right Corner. Love this App, but, & this might be strange but this is the only App that I have trouble clicking the Refresh Icon in the top right corner. I don’t have a large thumb. Every other App that has this in the top right (iOS Safari, iOS Firefox 110.2, etc) I don’t encounter this issue. Only in Focus. Perhaps there is a padding issue, or the space around the actual icon isn’t clickable currently. Maybe only the actual visual part of the icon is working as the Refresh instead of a larger area making it easier to click. All I know is that Firefox Focus is the only App where I experience this.

Great!. I was trying to choose from a sea of web browsers. Then I came across Firefox Focus, and I love it! I know that Firefox is one of the best web browsers out there statistically, and when I discovered Firefox Focus I had to give it a try. The pages load fast and there isn’t any ads, which is great for me, a person who is always surfing the web. The color scheme for the UI is a nice change from Safari’s bland white and black UI. I have to admit that this is my favorite web browser. I’ll be using this often. - A Consumer

Limitations. It’s impossible to turn off Google “signed out search activity” until a search is already entered, and it resets to “on” each time the browser is cleared. I want to be able to turn this off permanently, or at least in advance, because Google is showing me traditional female biased search results that are at times bizarrely irrelevant to my requests and quite different from what I see when entering the exact same search terms on my husband’s devices. I would like a setting to block intrusive videos from playing automatically, intruding on the screen I’m reading and opening deceptively when I click close or stop.

Fast and intuitive to use with privacy a top priority. I have been using Safari like most folks for a long time. What I like best (compared to the desktop version where Firefox is my default) privacy is number one focus in the mobile Focus. Tje ability to stop trackers or s awesome. The nifty trash button to get rid of history is a winner in my book. Since DuckDuckGo is the primary search engine there is privacy built from the get go.
