App interface issues. Couldn’t even get past the address when signing up. I live in a large building, and it only went up to the first couple of flats but didn’t offer mine and there was no way to type in the address manually. Yes, Royal Mail does have my address. Can’t experience Monzo as a bank because the app in unfortunately not an option.

Miss kwestan. It’s absolutely very good

Don’t bother if you’re visiting the UK. The app will take all of your personal information, 48 hours of your time, and then reject you without recourse. Despite what they say, even if you have a UK address, you will be rejected.

Incredible. I love everything about this app / product. So simple yet powerful. Monzo has completely change how I bank. This is also the only app I get really excited about when updates are released. And whoever writes those update notes deserves a medal. Classic stuff.

Worsened experience. I generally really enjoy monzo but the app has actually gotten less fun to play around with in one of their recent releases. I don’t know why they took away the graph that shows your spending over the month and where you could scroll back and see the amount you had at any point in time. That was one of the best qualities. Also the international money transfer experience is annoying as you always have to add the international recipient over and over again, they don’t let you save. Overall I like monzo but the app has definitely gotten worse.

Wonderful app, could use some QOL improvements.. Absolutely adore this app and bank, so much easier than anything you would find with other banks. Only thing I would ask for is a better way of securing the app. I would do this in the form of a touch ID or access pin. It would add an extra layer of security at very little expense to convenience. Other than that, an amazing way to usher in the new generation of banking.

Account Frozen. I have only been Banking with Monzo Bank for a week and so far my experience with Monzo has been nothing but a complete nightmare my account was operating and functioning probably on every level until i placed my money into there Bank immediately when i needed access to pay a bill myMonzo account doesn't work it's frozen i then contact there customer service support by phone with no Representative's to assist me only a recorded message instructing me to leave a message on there app. I then voiced my concerns regarding my account on there app with a vague useless response similar to a bot and now several days later and still has not been resolved. I am currently unable to have my surgery for my impacted wisdom tooth that has now escalated to an infection in my mouth because all my assists are frozen and i can't provide the payment to have my surgery completed this has not only wrecked havoc on my health it is causing a financial hardship.

Horrible app - Avoid. Suddenly started asking for my card PIN when logging in and locked me out for no reason (claiming I entered it wrong three times) even though I entered it entirely correctly. Frustrating! Now I'm locked out of my money until they intrusively receive an ID verification (even though I did this before) and I cannot reach anybody. Please avoid.

Lots of potential. I like the instant funding option - very convenient. Setting certain transactions as repeating payments is a very nice feature for subscriptions and under the “Payments” tab you can see these recurring payments. I like that you can add notes, tags and receipts to every transaction. The budgeting tool is not very helpful to me personally, but the Trends feature is - it helps to see how you’re using your money. The Pots have a “scheduled payments” option, but it should really say “scheduled transfers” because Pots are not for making payments - they are just to set money aside. To use money from Pots you have to transfer it back to main account. If I could make payments directly from a “Bills” Pot with its own account number then “scheduled payments” would make sense and would be a very useful feature. Spend (checking), Savings and Bills - if I had a separate account number for these three along with some cash back or rewards options on purchases, it would be the perfect banking app for me. This app has a lot of potential.

Phenomenal app & services. Absolutely love my Monzo card. Always responsive and over deliver on all expectations like sending you a new card "within 3 days" and it reached me in less than 24hrs.

No support for Plaid. As someone who uses Copilot budgeting app, Plaid support is crucial and how my local credit union can have support for Plaid, but a fintech company like Monzo not, is beyond me. I’ve been using Monzo for the past two months as my primary bank and not being able to use my budgeting app of choice is incredibly frustrating. What worse is that on Monzo’s development roadmap, Plaid support falls low on the list and it doesn’t seem to be a priority at all. Granted, Monzo has built in budgeting tools, but they pale in comparison to something like Copilot. So while I’m not going to close my account, I will switch back to my credit union in the mean time. Aside that, the app has a nice interface and the pots feature is quite nice as well.

Love this bank!. Monzo (USA customer) is absolutely wonderful, I’m so happy I found it!! I hate how overly complex most banking apps are - too much noise, notifications, etc. I know myself, for me, less is more when it comes to my finances. Monzo is simple. No fees, no hoopla. I love their salary sorter. I can quickly sort my money into Pots - it’s very set it and forget it. Monzo is my absolute favorite bank! They also has great customer support. I don’t think I’ve ever had a positive online chat experience in my life, but their chat team was superb!

Great app. I love Monzo and the app continues to get better.

The future of banking. I’ve been following a few other mobile only banks and this is by far the best one. I closed my Starling account and Barclays account and am now fully Monzo!

Best bank I’ve ever used, BUT .. Monzo for me is the best bank i ever used , for many reasons like the ease of using their app and how it is connected to many amazing features, but i really need an iPad app that can work aside from the app on my iPhone because sometimes it is easier for me to use the iPad at work or at university so i really hope you consider to have a version of your app for iPad snd it is necessary that both apps will work together without signing out of one of the accounts.

Works great!. I love it; I get notifications whenever someone charges something to my phone; integrates well with verification of a purchase (you buy something online and then approve it in the app. ) Highly recommend!

Great app, could use minor tweaks. Overall I’d highly recommend Monzo, especially if your flat mates or spouse has it too, because it makes transferring money so easy. The app is very user-friendly, making it easy to figure out what you spent where. My biggest frustration is that it’s easy to for money requests to get lost in the shuffle. Either you send your request in a text (with no proof but the message that will inevitably be buried in the rest of a conversation), or in some cases the request will appear with the rest of your spending (but again, if you don’t repay the person right away, it might get buried in your other transactions). It would be great to have a separate window showing outstanding requests to/from other Monzo users. I also wish there was a way to easily find your total spending from a certain slice of time, as right now you can only do it by month.

Fantastic App, tried and tested. This app was recommended to me by a family member who has used this app before, the app itself is seamless, logical and user friendly. It has worked perfectly and effectively in 3 different continents I have been to recently and all the fees I may or may not incur are clearly indicted to you from the start. Plus the card looks cool.

Avoid. Awful service. I signed up for an account, and they sent my card to the wrong address. That’s where it all went downhill. Where most banks would have someone you could speak with quickly to update and re-send, they don’t have that option. You need to use the app’s chat function. It took 3 days for someone to respond to my initial message, but apparently the issue was too difficult for that agent, so they needed a “specialist” to get involved. More than two weeks later waiting for someone to get back to me and multiple “we’re so sorry, we guarantee a specialist will get back to you ASAP,” I asked them to close my account. They assured me again it would be resolved quickly, but there was nothing they could do in the meantime. After 3 weeks from my application, I received an email from someone called Eugene telling me that not only did they close my account, but I will never be allowed to open an account with them again? Updating an address for a client is a basic task for any bank. For this company, it may get you banned.

Avoid. Continues to decline transactions. Thank god I was only in the testing phase of using this bank. Cannot reach anyone on support to fix my card decline issue. They’re holding captive $200. Can’t even take the money out. No way to reach anyone.

Amazing customer service. Best customer service of any bank - replies within 10 minutes max all through messaging on your phone. Sent a new bank card out to America for me! Great budgeting and overseas exchange rate

Non international friendly. I currently reside in both the USA and UK but was denied an account with no explanation. I hate ASB excellent credit score, no debt, etc, and for some reason I wasn’t approved.

Best bank and app. Monzo is simply the best banking app I ever used. Fast, intuitive, robust. It’s very easy to get an overview of your spending and send/receive money. You can even split bills with your Monzo friends in seconds. Also you get instant push notifications on every transaction, both in and out.

Do not get Monzo. This is the worst App I’ve ever had I had $80 in my Monzo account and then they close my account they told me they sent my money to my other bank account but then I contacted my other bank because I never got it and they told me they sent it and now when I contacted and got a hold of Manzo they said I had an overdraft fee of like $100 to my other bank account which I knew and I was not paid off when I got paid the $80 with my emergency fund money but little did I know Mondo a claims that they paid off $80 on my debt After they told me they sent it to my other bank account which has nothing to do with it so they pretty much messed me up with my grocery money which was $80 until the 11th when I got paid so now me and my son don’t have money for grocery’s till the 11th because of them and they never sent me an email or called me letting me know that they supposedly were going to pay off my other bank account so they Took my money without contacting me and I can’t get into my other bank account at the moment so I don’t even know if they really did pay the $80

Highly Recommended for US Customer. I do like the idea but there is no credit card. It’s a online bank only. If they issue a credit card (visa preferred) it will be cherry on top of the cake. I like Monzo’s online bank but I would like them to have a credit card with it. Also, have to add more ATM Access as well as more ways to connect on like Zelle for US customers since Zelle has become one of the industry’s leading ways to share money. Also, support fir PayPal, Venmo and Stripe!

Most pleasant banking experience. Using Monzo makes it incredibly clear how much benefit designing finance around an app-first approach offers. No other bank can come close to this, and that’s because other banks were, well, banks before they were apps. Where other banking apps are user-hostile, Monzo is downright neighborly in its approach to being helpful. I can not recommend it enough to anyone looking for a primary or additional account.

Can't get help from a human. I need to speak to someone and no chat function available to help. Called the phone number and that too won't route to a human. What am I paying £15 a month for?

Great to use internationally. I find the US Monzo account limited with its offerings BUT on my first trip after COVID-19 I used it all throughout Europe and it is FANTASTIC! There are NO international MasterCard fees and they give you a reasonable exchange rate. When you pay, choose “USD” not the local currency and Monzo does the exchange. I love the fact it breaks down the purchases into categories. Also, Europe is notorious for ATM card skimming. By keeping a lower balance on my Monzo I limit my risk. I also use it instead of my regular bank card for cash withdrawals. I must say I like it and it’s practically the only card I use. Would love to see them do a Credit Card like Chime as you need a CC for many airlines and hotels App is recommended

Best neobank since Simple was shutdown by the piranhas. Monzo USA is the best neobank since Simple Bank was shutdown by the piranhas. I have opened accounts with One, Envel, Discover, BBVA, PNC and CFCU and none come remotely close to offering the features Simple had, except Monzo USA. That said, the lack of access from a standard PC, except for the bare essential and feature limited (read nonexistent) emergency browser, is a major limiter and prevents me from using Monzo for all my finances as I was able to with Simple Bank. As such, I use Monzo daily while at the same time searching monthly for a replacement nenobank that has all the features Simple Bank offered before being shutdown.

Fantastic!. Absolutely love Monzo. Transferring money is super easy, the interface is really nice, and using it while traveling is so convenient. I love that I’ll NEVER misplace this card because it’s neon colored. I’ve recommended it to all my friends.

Highly recommended. highly recommend Monzo for a nice and pleasant experience with banking, so easy so straight forward and simple to use. If you haven’t already I strongly suggest trying it out !!!

🚩🚩🚩🚩. If you want an app that controls your money but you have no way to talk to the people controlling the app then this is for you. No customer support at all. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Awful service. They would not let me open an account when their app is not capable of uploading two images for identity verification for me to upload my passport photo page and extension on the second page. Due to this they could only see the expired date on my photo page and could not see the passport’s extension printed on the second page as my country only does extensions. I emailed them a scan of both pages and after telling me thanks for the copy of both pages and that it would not be a problem setting up my account spent 3 weeks being with no one helping to open my account with the emailed documentation as everything is done in app. In app customer service reps could not do anything and have sort of power whatsoever in resolving anything and could not open my account as they could probably only see the one image that is able to uploaded within the app. Horrible customer service and either the app needs full functionality or a website needs to be launched to avoid future problems. Found it most annoying that when I called they reassured me that I could definitely open an account with the emailed documents they received but actually did not and I still to this day cannot open an account with my valid identity verification document.

Terrible, opaque onboarding process. No regard for customer onboarding experience or customer service. Plenty of better options such as Starling bank

Amazing iOS app and service. The iOS app is literally one of the best I've used for banking. What I like the most is that everything from signing up until managing my account can be done from an iOS app, instead of a website.

If all banks were like Monzo.... ... there would be less frustration in the world!

Best bank I’ve worked with. I wish I could create a US account alongside my UK account.

This is a poor choice for a prepaid bank. I want to start this review with the first day I join Monzo. Period. A friend of mine had sent me a link an invitation as you will and it had an incentive for sign up I’ll sign up and get five dollars once you receive your card and activated or something like that I can’t remember the requirements exactly but it was nothing big I want to receive my garden met all the requirements after a little while I contacted customer support and Ashely what happened at that time they informed me that the sign-up bonuses and referral program was only for their British customers even though inside the app there is a referral button at the top left-hand corner that has a gift package on it and really kind of makes you think why is that there if I’m not allowed to use it but that’s not the reason for this poor review approximately 26 days ago at this time I was stayed in a hotel that required me to give him a $50 deposit so I’d left him that deposit on my Monzo card my deposit was released by the hotel two days later I didn’t know that though so after about 15 days I contacted Monzo and ask them hey where is my money they said oh the hotel hasn’t released it so then I called the hotel and hotel says yes we released it on the 28th so then I called Monzo and they said no they haven’t released it we promise so then I called the payment processing company, shift four, myself and I got a hold of the technical support team and the payment support team both of which assured me that there is no hold on my card they sent over the proper documentation to prove that and that my money had been released two weeks prior to that… Now the first time I contacted Monzo and asked about my money being released they told me it either has to wait 30 days for it to fall off or for the hotel to release it or if you can get us a letter from the merchant or the payment processing system saying that the money was released we will go ahead and manually release it for you so I did all of that I provided him every single thing they asked for it and once I did that they said never mind we’re gonna hold your money for the full 30 days well Manzo you aren’t emergent you have no right to my money and you are withholding money from me. And I understand why because once you realize there was no hold on it and y’all have been too lazy to check it the only way you can possibly back your own stupid play is to just play it off and let it run the timer out in the 30 days you know sometimes it’s better in life just to own up to your mistakes say we’re sorry here’s your money back

Amazing Customer Service and Fraud Dept.!. After using this Monzo app for one account as a trial run, I’m ready to move all of my accounts over from a big bank that I’ve been with for a long time. The response time and customer focused app is refreshing and much appreciated. They really make you feel like they care!

Cant contact them, Can’t open an account. You can’t do anything. Stick to Barclays/NatWest

Rejected without explanation. I’m a study abroad student studying in the UK. I wanted a UK bank to make things easier while I’m here, and my school recommended Monzo. I went through the application, but unfortunately they rejected it. It gave no explanation as to why my application was rejected, and they also gave no opportunity for me to reapply since I was thinking maybe I incorrectly input some information. Oh well.

Latest version has a serious glitch. They don’t have an answer. I had a friend try to install and open an account. The app attempts to launch then closes. It won’t open and he can initiate an account. I’ve read online about this issue as well. Some say they can’t access their account as a result. I’m concerned this may happen with my account if it updates. I’ve contacted monzo support via their chat which is frustrating as they answer every once in a while then go dark for hours after asking a question. Their latest response is: “Hi Xxx, I'm so sorry for the delay here. Are you all still having issues here? I don't believe this is something we have control over.” Really? It’s your app! It’s not the brand new model iPhone with the latest iOS! Anyway I’d highly recommend being careful at this point. Sadly. Because I was really fond of monzo

No way to contact help. My wife and I moved to the UK. Someone recommended Monzo because getting a bank account here is difficult for immigrants. So we did. Wife got her card but I’m still waiting as it’s late. No way to contact Monzo in the app because it just lets me see an activate card page. Guess I can’t get paid now because Monzo won’t let you have a joint account without a personal one. We are trying to create a Barclays account instead but their earliest appointments are weeks out. Man I miss the US...

An awesome bank with an awesome app. Monzo have, in my experience, the best banking app in the U.K. Their customer support (in-app, too!) is simply unparalleled. I can't wait for their current account to move over to them, and this app, full time.

Don’t use Monzo. It’s fine if you have no issues, but if you do they have essentially no support. If you have suspected fraud they’ll fail to act.

Post code not found. As part of the App a person needs to supply your post code. I have supplied my valid legit post code but the App keeps on saying that the post code does not exist and that I need to contact Royal Mail and tell them my post code does not exist. Royal Mail just laughed as they also know that the post code entered is correct. Monzo replied the problem will be fixed within 10 days. Still no luck.

Refused my account with zero accountability. Absolute joke I have been refused an account with no transparency about why and am a professional adult with savings and a salary. No ability to change or adjust answers where clearly a misread answer has had me become flat out shut down. Rubbish experience be careful with your responses because these amateurs are clueless with how FS and banks actually operate!!

Doesn’t recognise my address. I couldn’t sign up at all - the app doesn’t have my address on its list of allowed residential addresses. When I emailed support with evidence it’s residential, a week later I got an automated email saying I can’t be offered an account. For a bank whose entire pitch is “Open a full UK bank account from your phone”, failing to handle the simplest complications (like slightly unusual addresses) is dismal.

Best Bank. Great bank, easy to use set up with TransferWise built into the app.

Best banking app by far. My partner and I both got Monzo accounts ahead of travelling. The app is brilliant - notifications each time money is spent, ability to freeze the card and send payments really easily.

If I could I would give 0 starts!. I finally got enough points to order a card etc put £100 on the card and now the app crashes I want my money back!!!

This version crashes. Consistently crashes when signing up... I'm abroad and wanted to use it before I went home... very bad testing

Worth investigation. Sweet app, Used it to get away from English bank transfer ambiguity, instant data on all your transactions. And the pot system is great for saving and prioritising your money. It’s so good I still use it living in Auz.

Brilliant. Monzo is amazing. I just started using it a week ago, along with a couple of friends. Sending money is instant - literally as quick as you can send a message, it arrives. The app is slick and well designed, and transaction information is available in an instant. As in, the exact shop and location and time. Monzo is a collection of simple things done well. 5 Star, well done Monzo.

Best banking app I’ve used. Great app. Monzo makes is really easy to keep track of my budget. And the TransferWise integration makes transferring money overseas a breeze. Also, on the few occasions I’ve used the in app support I found the Monzo staff I chatted to very helpful.

Game changer. I’ve had Monzo for a few years now, and closed my other bank accounts in favour of Monzo. The service is sublime, any questions / problems are rectified through app in minimal time, and they offer the best exchange rates with no foreign transaction costs, which has saved me £100’s when backpacking. All in all , would highly recommend Monzo and can only see them going from strength to strength.

Awesome for travellers. We moved from Aus to Britain and it was so easy to set up! We didn’t have a lease yet so the ID required was totally achievable. Great customer service, app has easy to use and handy features. Best service I’ve ever had from a bank.

Revolutionary. I couldn’t be happier with Monzo. One of the new kids on the block in terms of Banking. I wasn’t sure to start with, so had a token amount of money in the account and only rarely used it, until I travelled. It changed what I expected from my old bank - while overseas and day to day. As a result I used a function in the app and switched everything across to Monzo. Haven’t looked back! If in doubt, give it a try with a small amount of money like I did. Before long I’m sure you’ll be a convert to the new era of banking!

Best business, let alone best bank. Monzo has changed the game for not only businesses worldwide but for banks worldwide. Clear, transparent and fast to act and update. Awesome. 5 stars.

Monzo is wonderful!. Simple banking, instant transfers and perfect for travelling.

Rejected for weird cryptic reasons. I recently relocated to the UK, and I turned over a lot of information. Only to be rejected (and they wouldn’t confirm why). It seemed really scammy. I have very good credit and was baffled.

Blake. Recently moved from Australia very easy to open, perfect account not a big name but gives better service then all highly recommended, great service and very nice online banking app.

Awesome banking. Monzo has created a banking app (and bank!) that works in real time. Make a payment, get a notification instantly, easily search transactions, understand your balance at any time in history, etc. It’s very easy to use and looks fantastic as well. I love seeing the logos of the stores I’ve purchased from on the feed.

Exchange Amounts. Why can’t I enter the amount I want to pay (ie the Euro) amount for international transfers. Very frustrating! Also - you now need to go to the last page to get the amount that you guess - very frustrating for international transfers!!!!

Terrible. They say they cannot offer an account but won’t say why?

Updated interface is horrible and confusing. Monzo used to be so easy to use but with the new layout they screwed everything up. Simple things like withdrawing money from the savings pot used to be just a click away and now it’s buried deep in so many clicks and menus that you have no choice but to ask for help. Please switch back. This was once a great app but now it’s horrible.

Faithful. Been using Monzo for 2 years now. No complaints whatsoever. Efficient service, good customer support and you get paid salary/transfers a day earlier. Highly recommend it

Issue to create account. I’m having a issue to create account. At the textbox where I need to fill my birthday date (YYYY/MM/DD) is not working. Is not activating the NEXT bottom after a fill the data.

Account Issues. Really Disappointed. Tried to apply for a account, but was denied without a reason. I recently moved to UK, and wanted a monzo account to have a joint acc with my partner who is a monzo user. I have a great full time job with a tech firm. Just sad because I now have to make my partner switch accounts too so we can have our joint acc.

Switched from Starling. I moved from Starling to Monzo and couldn’t be happier.

Absolute garbage. Trying to send money, money gets lost... try to talk to an agent, agent doesn’t reply... can’t phone because they don’t have an international number so now I’m in Canada missing a thousand dollars and can’t do anything... stupidest bank ever. Thank for nothing Monzo.

👎🏼. I apparently put my birthdate in wrong when I was applying for an account. After explaining to them that it was simply and input error, it took over a week of very slow correspondence for them to decline me with no explanation AFTER I had already cancelled my application (because they were taking too long). A fantastic online banking service. I’ve been a Monzo card holder for 3 years now and I have never had a problem. Customer service is awesome The app is so easy to use

Great For Paydays. Helps in time of no cash and you need an advance on payment

denied with no reason. Had several troubles with their app and it getting stuck on certain steps: the support team were often quick and very friendly, but no reasons were ever given and they doubted my address was valid (claiming it must not be in Royal Mail’s system, and it has been for decades..). Finally after 3 tried to confirm my identity, I accepted all terms and they suddenly said I wasn’t eligible. No reason given, no credit was applied for, no further support. Offered to contact a review team but wouldn’t tell me what they could do or what sort of process there is. Also told I’m barred from applying again? So confusing to just be stonewalled, for a basic current account of all things..

Used to be great; app going down hill. App used to be rock solid, but it now periodically crashes and logs me out. AND, each time I must reenter my email address. Crashing + forced relogin is really unexcusable. App has also been getting slower with each update.

Best bank I’ve ever used, BUT .. Monzo for me is the best bank i ever used , for many reasons like the ease of using their app and how it is connected to many amazing features, but i really need an iPad app that can work aside from the app on my iPhone because sometimes it is easier for me to use the iPad at work or at university so i really hope you consider to have a version of your app for iPad snd it is necessary that both apps will work together without signing out of one of the accounts.

Worsened experience. I generally really enjoy monzo but the app has actually gotten less fun to play around with in one of their recent releases. I don’t know why they took away the graph that shows your spending over the month and where you could scroll back and see the amount you had at any point in time. That was one of the best qualities. Also the international money transfer experience is annoying as you always have to add the international recipient over and over again, they don’t let you save. Overall I like monzo but the app has definitely gotten worse.

Works great!. I love it; I get notifications whenever someone charges something to my phone; integrates well with verification of a purchase (you buy something online and then approve it in the app. ) Highly recommend!

Nothing special. This is just a pre paid credit card than needs to be uploaded through a debit card. Nothing like a bank or new bank apps tried in Europe. Overhyped.

🚩🚩🚩🚩. If you want an app that controls your money but you have no way to talk to the people controlling the app then this is for you. No customer support at all. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Not very happy with the services. Account was hacked my money was gone told them and provide proof it wasn’t me taking the money from different cash machines they said they have people looking into it it’s been 2 months now and still nothing they still say they are looking into it shocking

Proton mail. Sing up doesn’t open Protonmail app, what a garbage. Had have to go and copy paste magic link form email to messenger and open it manually. No support for US customers but available to download in US AppStore. Find out that your CEO 30 under 30 by Forbes, but a lot to work on.

Great app, could use minor tweaks. Overall I’d highly recommend Monzo, especially if your flat mates or spouse has it too, because it makes transferring money so easy. The app is very user-friendly, making it easy to figure out what you spent where. My biggest frustration is that it’s easy to for money requests to get lost in the shuffle. Either you send your request in a text (with no proof but the message that will inevitably be buried in the rest of a conversation), or in some cases the request will appear with the rest of your spending (but again, if you don’t repay the person right away, it might get buried in your other transactions). It would be great to have a separate window showing outstanding requests to/from other Monzo users. I also wish there was a way to easily find your total spending from a certain slice of time, as right now you can only do it by month.

Fantastic App, tried and tested. This app was recommended to me by a family member who has used this app before, the app itself is seamless, logical and user friendly. It has worked perfectly and effectively in 3 different continents I have been to recently and all the fees I may or may not incur are clearly indicted to you from the start. Plus the card looks cool.

My request hasn't gone through. I have been told I will revive my registration on the end of January but till today there's nothing and my request has crashed so the app dose not recognize my registration, I'm very despondent by this.

Onbored ing. Just buggy. It got stuck on taking selfie and has no other options. Good sign not to continue account creation.

Awful service. They would not let me open an account when their app is not capable of uploading two images for identity verification for me to upload my passport photo page and extension on the second page. Due to this they could only see the expired date on my photo page and could not see the passport’s extension printed on the second page as my country only does extensions. I emailed them a scan of both pages and after telling me thanks for the copy of both pages and that it would not be a problem setting up my account spent 3 weeks being with no one helping to open my account with the emailed documentation as everything is done in app. In app customer service reps could not do anything and have sort of power whatsoever in resolving anything and could not open my account as they could probably only see the one image that is able to uploaded within the app. Horrible customer service and either the app needs full functionality or a website needs to be launched to avoid future problems. Found it most annoying that when I called they reassured me that I could definitely open an account with the emailed documents they received but actually did not and I still to this day cannot open an account with my valid identity verification document.

Denied - no explanation. Applied for a card submitted everything they ask for - have excellent credit but denied and they say they can’t tell me why. Smh.

Not ready for primetime, but good so far. I haven’t switched over yet because of the lack of pots that are customizable or rename-able, check deposit, and free ATMs, but really hoping they can get these added soon!

Best bank and app. Monzo is simply the best banking app I ever used. Fast, intuitive, robust. It’s very easy to get an overview of your spending and send/receive money. You can even split bills with your Monzo friends in seconds. Also you get instant push notifications on every transaction, both in and out.

Cant contact them, Can’t open an account. You can’t do anything. Stick to Barclays/NatWest

More categories, please. So far, so good. Would like to see more target categories, though. I end up putting most things under "general" (anything from gym memberships to haircuts to birthday presents), which isn't that helpful for budgeting.

This is a poor choice for a prepaid bank. I want to start this review with the first day I join Monzo. Period. A friend of mine had sent me a link an invitation as you will and it had an incentive for sign up I’ll sign up and get five dollars once you receive your card and activated or something like that I can’t remember the requirements exactly but it was nothing big I want to receive my garden met all the requirements after a little while I contacted customer support and Ashely what happened at that time they informed me that the sign-up bonuses and referral program was only for their British customers even though inside the app there is a referral button at the top left-hand corner that has a gift package on it and really kind of makes you think why is that there if I’m not allowed to use it but that’s not the reason for this poor review approximately 26 days ago at this time I was stayed in a hotel that required me to give him a $50 deposit so I’d left him that deposit on my Monzo card my deposit was released by the hotel two days later I didn’t know that though so after about 15 days I contacted Monzo and ask them hey where is my money they said oh the hotel hasn’t released it so then I called the hotel and hotel says yes we released it on the 28th so then I called Monzo and they said no they haven’t released it we promise so then I called the payment processing company, shift four, myself and I got a hold of the technical support team and the payment support team both of which assured me that there is no hold on my card they sent over the proper documentation to prove that and that my money had been released two weeks prior to that… Now the first time I contacted Monzo and asked about my money being released they told me it either has to wait 30 days for it to fall off or for the hotel to release it or if you can get us a letter from the merchant or the payment processing system saying that the money was released we will go ahead and manually release it for you so I did all of that I provided him every single thing they asked for it and once I did that they said never mind we’re gonna hold your money for the full 30 days well Manzo you aren’t emergent you have no right to my money and you are withholding money from me. And I understand why because once you realize there was no hold on it and y’all have been too lazy to check it the only way you can possibly back your own stupid play is to just play it off and let it run the timer out in the 30 days you know sometimes it’s better in life just to own up to your mistakes say we’re sorry here’s your money back

Fantastic!. Absolutely love Monzo. Transferring money is super easy, the interface is really nice, and using it while traveling is so convenient. I love that I’ll NEVER misplace this card because it’s neon colored. I’ve recommended it to all my friends.

Most pleasant banking experience. Using Monzo makes it incredibly clear how much benefit designing finance around an app-first approach offers. No other bank can come close to this, and that’s because other banks were, well, banks before they were apps. Where other banking apps are user-hostile, Monzo is downright neighborly in its approach to being helpful. I can not recommend it enough to anyone looking for a primary or additional account.

Wonderful app, could use some QOL improvements.. Absolutely adore this app and bank, so much easier than anything you would find with other banks. Only thing I would ask for is a better way of securing the app. I would do this in the form of a touch ID or access pin. It would add an extra layer of security at very little expense to convenience. Other than that, an amazing way to usher in the new generation of banking.

Amazing iOS app and service. The iOS app is literally one of the best I've used for banking. What I like the most is that everything from signing up until managing my account can be done from an iOS app, instead of a website.

Non international friendly. I currently reside in both the USA and UK but was denied an account with no explanation. I hate ASB excellent credit score, no debt, etc, and for some reason I wasn’t approved.

Incredible. I love everything about this app / product. So simple yet powerful. Monzo has completely change how I bank. This is also the only app I get really excited about when updates are released. And whoever writes those update notes deserves a medal. Classic stuff.

Online app seems to be inactive. What’s happened ? I can’t connect

Latest version has a serious glitch. They don’t have an answer. I had a friend try to install and open an account. The app attempts to launch then closes. It won’t open and he can initiate an account. I’ve read online about this issue as well. Some say they can’t access their account as a result. I’m concerned this may happen with my account if it updates. I’ve contacted monzo support via their chat which is frustrating as they answer every once in a while then go dark for hours after asking a question. Their latest response is: “Hi Xxx, I'm so sorry for the delay here. Are you all still having issues here? I don't believe this is something we have control over.” Really? It’s your app! It’s not the brand new model iPhone with the latest iOS! Anyway I’d highly recommend being careful at this point. Sadly. Because I was really fond of monzo
