Overloading your brain with too much information at once is a common study mistake. Research has shown that smaller, more frequent study sessions are the key to knowledge retention. In other words, taking short quizzes on the go is a much more effective means of exam preparation than reading page after page in a textbook. Apps offer the benefit of interaction, which means you’re far more likely to remember a concept you engage with rather than one you’ve only read about.

Take your EMS studies with you, no matter where life takes you.

Wants me to pay twice. I’ve already purchased the app, if it requires a one time purchase why is it making me re purchase this app again?? I haven’t deleted it or anything just signed me out and making me repay again and I refuse

NREMT-P. I paid for the full version, and it was completely worth it. The only studying I did before the exam was with this app. I did all 600 questions in one day, took my exam the next, and passed.

Well I passed. I took the NREMT P the other day and passed it first time. I used this app as well as fisdap study tool and job learning. This app has much more difficult questions which I felt like better prepared me for my test. If you are like me reading the text book puts me to sleep and I got a lot out of using this app. I also enjoy how it telling you where to fine the info if you question the answers. Either way I have been recommending it to people who are about to take the exam. Good luck. -Mark

Good app.. I used this as my primary study tool. I studied on this for three days straight and passed. I flagged some of the questions on there, but it asked good questions for the most part. I really liked that it would explain the the correct answer to you if you got it right, and why it’s wrong if you got it wrong. Great app.

Perfect and easy. Just as easy an explainable as the EMT version. I passed the National registry with the EMT and I feel confident with the medic version.

Great app. I passed the paramedic exam first try. I used this as a supplement to other study sources and it is great, definitely recommend!

Worth it. I used it for my NREMT-P and it helped me pass my written test. The question closely resemble registry and I love the feedback they give when you answer a question wrong and takes you back to the reading material so you can understand it better 10/10

Helpful. This app helped me study for NREMT-P. I’ll continue to use it to keep my thinking skills strong!

I cannot say enough good things about this app. I failed my first attempt at the NREMT-P exam. I bought this app and studied almost entirely with just this app. Took it today and my exam stopped at 80 questions. I passed! My only complaint is that the app forgot which questions I flagged more than once.

Not happy. I was told I would have a guarantee money back so I purchased this app. Now you guys are saying your canceling this app and I have to pay for the new one?? Really shady.. I will be using something else to prepare for my exam thanks for taking my money.

I passed NRP. I was given a lot of tools to help succeed. Honestly, this app was hands down one of my most valuable assets. This is absolutely necessary for study material.

Decent experience.. Good overall questions. Some of the rational does not constitute rational rather an explanation why they feel this is the right answer. Some questions aren't national standard. Some are not correct in any standard of medicine.

Valuable study tool!. This app is legit and is, in my opinion, priced way lower then what it is worth. This was my primary study tool for the national registry for a month before I took the test. The different terms and definitions you learn in the app will come in extra handy when you take your test. Took my test today and found out 3 hours later that I passed! Take my advice and get this app and start studying if you're serious about this test.

Works 100% of the time. Had this when I was an EMT and purchased it when other study apps failed, retook test and passed. Medic class came and went, bye a year of my life, and used this App as my main study guide. Flagged questions I missed, read the explanations and took tests until the entire bar was green. For the price of a meal out I passed registry the first time and have that monkey off my back. Definitely one of the best and easiest to use NREMT apps out there. Thank you so much.

Medic. Great app!! I’ve been in EMS for nearly 10 years. This app helped pass the registry and I still use it to keep my mind sharp with all the things that medics have to remember. I definitely recommend this app

Valuable asset. I passed the NREMT Paramedic exam in 75 questions and was positive I passed it as I walked out the door. I felt the exam was very easy and I was prepared for every question and confident in all my answers. The bulk of my exam was in non traditional medical questions. HAZMAT , Operations, Radio communications, and triage. I didn’t ever expect my exam to have the bulk of my questions to be non ALS. I do not believe I would have been as prepared if not for the APP. It forced me to study operational questions. I did questions over and over until I nearly got 100 percent on the sections. All I can say is don’t neglect the non medical sections.

Passed on my first test!. I used primarily this app for studying. I went through over 500 of the 600+ questions. I finished my paramedic NREMT test just over 80 questions. Well worth the investment.

Excellent. I passed my NREMT On my first attempt, was cut off at question 80. I studied only this app and nothing else all during my ride time until I could test. Which was approximately 3 months. I did the 10 questions tests every day until went through the entire test bank and then started over.

Excellent App. This is an excellent app. Very tough questions and great explanations for every song answer! If you get to where you are passing these tests you will pass National Registry no problem. I used this app for NREMT B, and Paramedic and passed both on first try and taking the least amount of questions. This app is definitely worth the money!!

Worth it. This was the app I primarily used to study for NREMT-P. I passed on the first try. I’m even using this afterwards to stay sharp. Pros - good variety of questions (there’s over 600) and the explanations are very helpful and usually they explain why each answer choice was correct/incorrect thoroughly. I studied the explanations almost as much as I did taking practice questions. There were definitely questions on actual exam that I remembered studying through this app. The question of the day reminders were more helpful than I expected. I would do random quick 10 questions any opportunity I got in preparing for the exam. This covered a lot of the A&P and pathophysiology that is heavily covered on the exam and something often forgotten to be studied during class. Cons - inaccuracies in drug choices for some of the protocols. However, rarely was this asked on the actual NREMT exam and I had other resources to study medication protocols.

Passed the test with the help of this app. I was a EMR, basic, for 10 years when I went back to school for paramedic. I can say after failing the test twice I went to this app for help along with studying hard. I passed the NREMT Paramedic on on third try. Worth the money if you study and take your time.

If you want to learn get this app. If you don’t have it you’re making a mistake! started using this app in the beginning of my program. It is great because you can pick topics to test on, so I would pick cardiology etc. before the class test and repeat the tests as much as I needed to. It gives great explanations for each choice. I just took the registry and passed. The registry felt easy compared to the pocket prep questions. Pocket prep covered a lot of material that my textbooks didn’t, so it really helped expand my knowledge. I told everyone in my class about it and I told other medic students I met along the way about it. I still do the daily questions even though I passed the nat reg and state tests already.

Overall great. Some ACLS protocols aren't current (atropine in asystole or vasopressin for example). That's the only reason why I took a star off.

Passed NREMT-P on my first attempt. I used this EMT version app to study for my EMT-b and the paramedic version for my NREMT-P and I passed both tests on my first attempt. Easily worth the money

Paramedic student. So far I love this app !!! Haven’t taken the national yet but I get more and more confident each day with this app

NREMT Prep. I had this app for about a year. I used it to help me study throughout my Paramedic class. It was definitely worth the money since other online prep sites charge monthly. It had great questions and a lot of them, as well! I loved the daily notification to study as well as the daily question. I did feel that some questions were worded weird and may not have had the most accurate answer. Also, most of the questions were very long and wordy. The NREMT-P questions were pretty short but they definitely got you thinking. Over all, great app! I passed on the first try!

Great job pocket prep!!. I bought the 612 questions for this app and used it primarily to study for the NREMT-P. I finished all the questions with 73% average and then made sure I got the bar fully green. Just found out today that I passed the national on my first try! Thanks pocket prep for everything!!

I PASSED THE NREMT-P EXAM ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT. After learning about and utilizing the EMT Prep App, it was a no brainer in how I should prepare for the paramedic course. At first the questions were extremely difficult as they didn’t match the course syllabus; however, over time they became relevant and easier to understand. It was a sign of growth and held me accountable. The QOTD and 10 question quick exams were I valuable and really prepared me for the registry. I highly recommend it. Here’s a secret, I still take the daily EMT exams and will continue to take the Paramedic exams as well. #neverstoplearning

Great. Awesome app. Wished it had more practice questions on the free version but then they wouldn't make any money then right.

Great supplementary app. This app is awesome. Perfect for on the go when you don’t have your study material with you. Taking short quizzes periodically throughout the day makes it easy to stay in the paramedic mindset while not wearing yourself out with hours of studying. When you get something wrong it gives you an explanation as to why and you can retake the quizzes until you pass with 100%. It’s worth the small price for the bank of more than 600 questions. I used this on the go during work, as well as other study sites when I could sit down on a computer, and passed the paramedic with the minimum number of questions asked.

DO NOT PURCHASE. It is distressing that the makers of this app allow it to remain on the market as is. It is filled with incorrect answers, typos, sentences that don’t make sense. For the amount they ask us to pay, it should be done in a competent way. Answer Example: “If the patient was experiencing eclampsia, he/she would........” really? Developers are so lazy they cannot properly edit? There are mistakes in treatment too. It is a shame to waste money and allow developers to be so sloppy. Shame on you people!

Not worth the money.. It glitches a lot and freezes. I’ve seen multiple wrong answers. These questions are long and and the NREMT-P questions were short and to the point. I did learn a few things from it though. This app has lots of questions on pharm classes and such and didn’t have a single one on the exam. It’s ok if you are just trying to learn but if you are preparing to take the NREMT-P then their are probably better options out there.

It’s great!!!. Passed it the first time!!! Has great explanations on why the answer is correct or incorrect.

Paramedic Training. Hello I am currently having problems passing my NREMT Paramedic cognitive exam. Your website came highly recommended from friends whom passed! Thank you guys for allowing me free access.

National Registry test. This app helped me pass the National Registry exam. Keep in mind that it’s important to study the explaination after answering a question. It gives you the reason why the correct answer is correct but also definitions for the wrong answers too.

Paramedic. Do not use this as your only guide to passing NREMT. Use this along with other products like Kaplan Qbank and Munden interactive. But do all of pocket prep until you are 100% and you will be fine. Remember a lot has to do with nerves and not taking your time to read the whole question. Good luck everyone

Total waste of money!. This is the worse NREMT paramedic prep app out. The group that puts out this app has no idea of basic physiology. I actually sent them several errors that came out of their app and they didn’t have enough of a grasp of physiology to even understand the errors I had pointed out. I would steer well clear of this app since there are other options.

better than I imagined ... very well explained in a nutshell, you really memorize what you learn

BEST NC / NREMT study App. If you are a North Carolina paramedic/student and/or studying for the NREMT, this is the BEST app. Sources are factual, questions are realistic to both the NC state exam and NREMT exam. Wording is very similar as well. HIGHLY recommend this to any paramedic student. Passed both my NREMT and NC paramedic exams on the first attempt because of this app.

Worth it!. Between this and JBLearning it got my through 1st time go. Just make sure you do all the questions!

I love it. I love the option that I can see the answers after each question and that it explains every right AND wrong answer. Very informative and glued to this app till I test out!

Solid purchase. Hovered between average 67-72% passing on the practice quizzes. Def helped me distinguish a couple key points that I saw on registry-P. Passed my first time, would def recommend for a huge pool of long diverse questions that force you to think outside the box

Great study tool. This was my primary study tool and passed my exam! Recommend to anyone very user friendly

Needs updating. There are some good questions and information available on this app. There are some questions that are not in line with recent National Registry Information. Also I paid for the premium access to have access to 600 questions. It worked great until I reached around question250 ish and the app rebooted and kicked me out of premium access.

Great app and customer service. Great app!!! It’s a lot like National registry. It’s also a great price for unlimited use . Most apps are monthly Subscriptions. I was having some issues with my account and customer service was super fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend it !!!

Christine C.. I used this app primarily to study for the NREMT-P. I was in and out in 37 minutes , having had the test close at 80 questions. I passed on the first try . I strongly recommend this as well as studying Nancy Caroline .

Passed first attempt. Used this app for a few months before the NREMT and I passed my first attempt. Great app!

Well Prepared. This app is worth the money. My classmates and I shared between this and JBL practice testing. The structure of the questions are longer and more complex than the NREMT CBT. Never felt like I had repeat questions and the variety within the different subjects was great. The explanations give references to where you can find the answer in the Nancy Caroline’s Emergency Care in the Streets. Great product no crashing or force stop, fluid mechanics. Would recommend for anyone preparing for the CBT.

I’m Wary.... I was an EMT for 3 years, a paramedic for 6 years, and taught medic school for 4. I took NR in 2008, but let my license lapse when I went back to school. I am retaking NR after being out of the field for 4 years. I think this app is okay for the most part, however certain questions give me pause and I wonder how in tune the writers are with NR. For example, a question described Cushing’s Triad as “Hypertension with reactive bradycardia and decreased respiratory effort...” “DECREASED respiratory effort” is a completely inaccurate description of a Cushing’s patient. They could have used so many different words (i.e. irregular, ataxic, Biot’s, abnormal, etc.) but the use of “decreased respiratory effort” is patently false. Because much has changed since I left the field, I am left wondering if some of my wrong answers are due to my own lack of knowledge of industry updates or incorrectly written questions. Thus, I wouldn’t advise anyone to rely solely on this app for NR prep. The upside to this app: The UI is great, very easy to use and intuitive. The explanations are helpful (assuming they are correct) and I like how you can keep track of your progress. Suggestion to developers: Maybe considering adding a feature that allows users to easily report a bad question. This might allow learning opportunities for everyone involved.

Passed Paramedic NREMT. Studied for National using primarily this app and some notes from class and I passed National in under 100 questions. As long as the developers continue to update this app/ questions with protocol changes and updated medical research, then it will remain the top study guide for National. Again, I used this for about 80% of my studying two weeks out, everyday for 4-5 hours a day, and I passed with a high score. Thank you PovketPrep. Idk how you do it (actually curious about your development process!) but this app has helped me stay a good responder for years and continues to do so. Very, very good company and tech. Thank you for all you do! Blessings, Pete Paramedic, Los Angeles

Over priced and outdated. This app could be great if it was up to date. Unfortunately it's not and working off old AHA guidelines/old ACLS guidelines and old Mosbys informations. It's not worth the money to leave old information

Good Study App. Good study app. Questions throw you off which is good, but some answers I wouldn't do.

Being retired. This app says it is being retired to a new EMS Pocket prep I just bought the in purchase app and now it’s going to a new app that isn’t updated to the new iOS system and only works on 12 or later.

Great app!!. I used this app daily to study for NREMT-P and passed! Convenient for quick study burst.

Great App for NREMT. I’ve used the EMT and the Paramedic versions, and with this app only, passed EMT, AEMT and Paramedic all on first try.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE LIES THIS APP WILL NOT HELP YOU PASS YOUR NREMT PARAMEDIC. I just took my NREMT paramedic assessment exam. I can assure you that you will see nothing on the actual exam that is on this app. Does it help you study? Sure! Does it apply to the actual exam you’re gonna take? Absolutely not! I have been a paramedic for 10 years and I have seen and done a lot in the field. The pocket prep app for the paramedic portion of the exam will not help you pass. There isn’t a even a single question on the actual exam that you can compare to the questions you will see on this app. After paying $30 and having access to 603 questions I can assure it is a waste of money and a waste of your time. Buy the national registry paramedic prep book by Kaplan on amazon. It’s $20 and contains way more info in it then this pathetic excuse of a study tool. It’s perfect for on the go quick practice questions but it won’t help you pass the NREMT paramedic. Save yourself the trouble and stress!

It’s great. Helps so much

Worth it. Best prep test

Excellent to study!. I bought the full premium after going through the free questions because I liked that I can study everyday a few minutes at a time whenever and wherever I am. The app is user friendly, very straight forward, with good material. There was a question I think is wrong but I'm a student not an expert, so I still have to ask my teachers about it. So far no problems at all. It's good to study and quiz your self 10-20 or more questions per quiz or also a timed test feature.

Awesome. Awesome preparedness

Amazing. What a truly incredible app. Excellent for preparation during paramedic school

Great app for paramedic students!. New update erased my purchase. Lifetime subscription??? Not sure about that. Your bug fix causes me to loose all of my progress.....thanks.....not paying another 20 bucks for a "lifetime" subscription. Too bad because this is a great app but very suspicious when it shuts down your account when a new version comes out. Please fix this. No way of recovering my money or progress within the app. Beware of purchasing.

Paramedic. Great app. Used this app exclusively and passed NR Paramedic on the first attempt.

Better than most apps. 1-2 dosage/drug errors but that's it! Passed my fisdap and national first try, this app helped out a lot! Defiantly worth the money.

Not worth the money poorly done. Not worth the 20 bux to get prep questions, a lot of the questions are not based on the paramedic scope. Beware I wasted the money hopefully you don't make the same mistake.

Don’t waste your money. This app is a waste of money at $18. The quality of the questions is seriously lacking. This app has potential but until their question library undergoes a serious peer review I wouldn’t waste a penny on this app.

Wonderful App. This app has help me regain my confidence for the paramedic exam.

Relevant and Practical. Good coverage of common and some obscure information that will help improve every medic out there.

Won't load questions. Purchased the app it won't let me take an exam. Not even the question of the day. It won't load any of the question. I can't open it on any of my other devices either.

Can’t delete. Can’t delete my account because they make it so hard to do so i keep getting charges on my account from them!!!

Great app for preparing for NREMT. Great app to review for the test helped me understand how the test asks questions!

Amazing Resource. Between this App and JB learnings text prep I used them in unison and I passed my first attempt with no problem. Thanks for the amazing, easy to use, convenient, and resourceful App

No refund with a lot of incorrect questions/answers. I've spent some time on this app getting to about 250 questions finding about 25 incorrect questions (Verified by further research and I am a licensed paramedic in Texas. I had high hopes for it, but the consistent inaccuracy of the questions and answer is misleading. The last question that prompted me to write this review was one about a DNR. The question ask: If you make a scene where a valid DNR is present and the spouse begs you to save the patient do you... and the answer was Ignore the DNR, start all efforts to revive the patient and contact medical control. NOT only is this wrong, you are giving legal advice that will get a paramedic in trouble. There are other features that make this app a little hard to deal with. - There is no refund. 18.00 dollars wasted. - It doesnt always remember where you are between devices. When I start on my iphone and transfers to my Ipad later. - The answer selection area for each answer is easy to hit. For example if your screen is set to go off after 30sec and it starts to dim, when you touch the screen theres a good chance you will select an answer. Also does this when trying to scroll up or down. - The final thing is the questions. While most are well written, you cant have a 10% error rate and thats about what I found.

Good app.... I’ll continue to use it as a studying adjunct to prepare for my NRP. I’ll be back to change my rating when I pass it though.

Medic. Passed first attempt, great app

NREMT-P Pocket Prep. This is the perfect app for all soon-to-be Paramedics like myself! Don’t be stingy with your money on this one. It’s a $30.00 1-time purchase for unlimited access! Think of it as an investment to your future. I use this app everyday. From what I understand, a lot of these questions will be on National Registry, and if you pass all of the questions on this app and fail National Registry, they give you your money back on the purchase. Good luck to all of you aspiring paramedics!

Not worth it.. Definitely not worth the $20. Repetitive questions and the app doesn't let you continue a test if you leave it too long.

Paramedic. This app was incredible! Answering all the questions really helped me pass my NREMT exam!

Helps put things together. Hhhhhhh it helped my

Great app.. Great app for refresher or 1st time medic course and practice.

Awesome. Awesome

Is this app updated?. Just failed registry after maintaining a 95% throughout this app in each category. Is this app updated? If not, it needs to be in order to ensure the success of others. Back to the drawing board.

Decent range. Don't have the full version, wouldn't mind trying due to a decent range of questions. For now you can "unlock" some but unsure on a $20 price tag. And I have no idea why Mosby isn't a known book per the other review I've read a lot by them though for paramedic I used Brady

Loving it. This app has helped me so much. Getting increasingly better as I go

Awesome Tool. These apps are great, if this app is of equal quality as the basic app, then I expect to pass my national registry test on my first try :))

Not perfect. The book they're referencing is not well know or trusted. I wouldn't recommend this app.

Misleading... I would not recommend this app to anyone. It has confused me in several topics throughout studying only to find out I was right initially. Wording on various questions is poor, and at times inaccurate. If you have access to JB learning I would recommend using that instead. Extremely unhappy with my choice to purchase this app.. USE JB LEARNING!!

Cocaine use. I keep getting cocaine use with pin point pupils. Cocaine causes dilated. Opiates cause pinpoint. Except for that, looks good.

Pocket prep. App is amazing and the explanations are spot on! Thank you!

Pass Nremt. High quality questions. If you want to be a good medic get this app.

Information and software. Software itself isn’t bad but the information is not always accurate

Doesn't work properly.. The apps material is nice and each question is well explained. However, I am unable to use functions advertised in the app (such as flagging questions to review). There isn't an option to take a test based on missed questions either. I contacted the developer and they advised an update would be out within the week to correct this issue and it never came. Spend your money wisely and adjust your expectations.

5 stars. Used the basic version and passed NREMT the first time. Now I'm trying the medic version and I'm liking it so far.

FireMedic. Very good refresher tool.

Passed first time with this App. This is a solid review/study app. It comes with a great support staff and a solid bank of questions that mimic the NREMT. I passed first time and used this app to study. Fair warning, I also used JB Learning to study and would suggest using this app and another study source too.

Waste of money. This app has many contradictions with my other study materials, and contradicts some of the things that I was taught while I was in my paramedic class, the original EMT-B pocket prep was a whole lot more helpful than the paramedic app...
