Quicker loading, privacy oriented. Ever since I started using AdGuard I’ve seen a noticeable increase in the does at which pages load. I’ve also noticed many if the pages I would frequently visit now load in with the ads automatically blocked. If there is a page where you would like to block additional elements, you can do so easily using AdGuard’s feature. I really like to see the the lost if requests because it shows you exactly what website is trying to track you and you can easily choose to block that domain directly from the app. By far the best ad blocker I’ve ever used. I highly recommend it.

Demolished My Daily Headache. Before downloading this app, I was almost certain that the day had come for me to toss my phone into an on-fire trash can due to all the virus ads plaguing my existence. I could hardly go five minutes without being redirected to some *not-so-nice* website or a locked screen ensuring me that I had been hacked. When I finally gave up and decided to download this app, I cannot even describe how different my online experience has become. It is so inexpensive for a year or a lifetime, but I would’ve paid nearly triple the price for the features in this app. It is seriously one of the best things I’ve ever downloaded and can’t recommend it enough.

Trash it!. It works great for blocking those annoying ads. But it fails miserably at being able to whitelist more than one site. The first one I whitelisted, I have no problems with. But the second one? Can’t come close to saying the same. Nine times out of ten, when I visit that site, I get the message that its being blocked by an ad blocker. That defeats the entire purpose of having the whitelist function. Get it together. Edit: Well, now it doesn’t even function at all! I had to turn the blocker off to use a site (the same one I alluded to earlier,) but after turning it back on, it blocks NOTHING! Even after making certain it was on, and restarting the phone 7 times already, I STILL get ****ing ads! EPIC FAIL! Edit 2: It’s official. This is easily the worst “ad blocker” I’ve ever had. Despite being active, it does NOT block ads. I had to deactivate for a few minutes to use a site that was *supposedly* whitelisted. Then I reactivated it, and *nothing.* I closed all tabs, and restarted Safari. I wiped my history, and cookies. I even restarted the phone 3 times. Nothing. It is a colossal failure. I do not recommend it at all.

Love AdGuard. I have tried many Adblockers and when I found AdGuard I never looked back. AdGuard works perfectly and gives you immense power to block all ads and tracking on the internet. AdGuard was designed with user in mind. You can block a few ads or you can black them all, it’s your choice. With AdGuard you can dial you experience to your liking. With AdGuard DNS you can block Ads on your device. My phone is super snappy everything I need loads super quick. No red lights here, no waiting! I love it I recommend it to all my friends and my friends recommend to theirs. It’s a beautiful app that is backed by a very experienced programmers and a trusted company!

Best Ad Blocker on iOS. What can I say? I love this app. You know those annoying adds that come up over a page and you just can’t quite find the X button on, or the X is too small, but when you click it instead of opening a new tab it changes your web page that you were waaaaaaaaay in the middle of cus you had hit that “load more pages” button an ungodly number of times??? This app gets rid of those. You’ll NEVER see them again. That‘a all I gotta say. Well worth the Annual Subscription.

Problems with updating filters. It seems this issues keep dragging on forever, basically what i'm talking about is adguard took at least 5 minutes to update filters or new user rules, the problem is it could just be a simple one line rules and the app will still took 5 minutes to apply it, you know everytime i need to add something or just simply updating the filters in general i have to sit there with adguard open looking at nothing while listening to music for 5 minutes to combat the waiting, if i close it and exit out to do something else with my time it might stop updating and nothing will works.

Makes life so much easier! and cleaner!. I am a student and have to do a lot of browsing for school stuff. This weekend, I had to work with an “ad buddy” type of website that has you watching ads after ever 2 clicks… When I switched from my desktop to the ipad with Ad Guard, it was like magic!!! I have been using this app for about 2 years now and haven’t noticed any performance issues. I’ve been able to read everything I need to online without things like nasty earwax commercials constantly distracting and disgusting me. By the time I graduate, Ad Guard will have earned about 25% of my diploma. Thank you guys!!!

(Almost) Completely dummy-proof.. In my last review, I praised this app for its simplicity. I still believe it’s a very easy to use app that cuts out most of the issues you would have on safari and such, if not all of them, in some cases. I’ve only encountered one issue, which I found after my last review. I’m unsure if this is actually the ad blockers fault or not, but the ad blocker is successful in blocking out every type of ad EXCEPT for the types of ads that are in certain safari videos. The ones where you click on the video, and it automatically brings you to another site. It’s especially annoying on sites like 9anime, where I have to traverse 20 pages (albeit they’re all blocked and don’t show anything, but the issue is I don’t want to be redirected from the page in the first place) just to watch my anime. All in all, great app that covers all bases but one.

Best ad blocker, best price. I’ve tried several other ad blockers on my ipad, but most of them still had a few problems - the worst being that I couldn’t block the anti-anti blockers; but also some that missed ads and (worst of all) some that pestered me to rate or pay them. So far, adguard is great. It works, the customization is useful, they have all sorts of options that I only started digging into recently but have made me like them even more. And I like that even their ‘please review us’ screen also has a bug reporter built right in, as though they’re saying “if you don’t like us, what do you still want?” I know it’s a basic sales trick, but it still went a long way to make me not annoyed. Also, their price is cheaper than other apps, despite having equivalent, or in some cases (mostly due to good interface design) better functionality than those apps. It’s really a solid deal. And they didn’t ask me to give them a good rating, which I hate.

My Favorite iOS Ad Blocker. The best ad blocker around. I've been using this for months on my iPad, iPhone and both of my Macs. I use it with Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. It consistently blocks all things I do not want to see, I have no problems seeing what I choose to accept, and it provides a more than acceptable level of customization by way of configuration and selection of standard and proven subscription choices. I've tried seven other options since ad blocking extensions were enabled for iOS and Adguard is definitely the best. I use a paid OpenDNS subscription passed through DNSCrypt for DNS at home and NordVPN when I go into the wild, so I cannot speak to the DNS style Adguard ad blocking. Regardless, my not using the Adguard DNS servers has had zero effect on how well this extension does its job.

Best adblocker on iOS... But does that make it good?. Complaint #1: Every single time I toggle a filter, it pauses to “reload the filters”... I have to toggle a bunch of filters, how about you just sit and wait until I’m done instead of wasting my time reloading the filters after every single toggle. Easily five minutes of my life stolen from me by your dumb app functionality. Complaint #2: Safari limits the number of filters to 50,000 per app, apparently. I have been noticing some oddly specific ads on Reddit, something that I definitely do not have on my desktop, so I decided to investigate, and made this discovery. I swear this wasn’t always the case, or maybe, the app just didn’t alert me to this previously, but either way... How about offering a suggested workaround? Obviously the problem is Apple, and the state of adblocking on iOS right now means that this will be my last Apple product, but rather than just alerting me that you’re not using all of the filters, do something more?

Wears off?. I purchased premium and have been using it for a few months, but every now and then I have to reset the settings for the ad block and then restore my purchase because slowly but surely ads start seeping in despite the blocker being on. Resetting it fixes it for about a month but then the blocker “wears off” and more ads start progressively getting allowed even if it’s the same websites I normally visit. However after the reset is finished and I restore my purchase (I bought the year subscription and still have about half a year left on it)

Very technical but effective. This app is definitely not an install and push button solution. It requires quite a bit of tinkering in order to get it working correctly. Most of these low ball reviews are from those who’s not tech savvy enough to understand how to setup the personal dns server, connect devices to the dns server and then connect the personal dns server to the AG app and the AG VPN app 🤷🏽‍♂️ that is what I did and this rocks!!! I just wish that AG, AG VPN & AG DNS were all in the app. I am not fond of having multiple apps to encrypt my internet traffic. Overall, I am very satisfied with this app

Decent, but mobile versions have issues. I am a big fan of this service and have multiple licenses. Even used one on a family members computer to help stop her from getting viruses that I would have to remove. The free DNS service is awesome. I think the problem here is the actual VPN service from Apple. The DNS protection works fine for me when I use it on the mobile connection. But it seems to drop out, even with the restart option, when you go to Wi-Fi. Sometimes immediately, sometimes not right away. My theory is the VPN route used to tunnel through the filter is not updating correctly. So my workaround has been to disable DNS protection for Wi-Fi and use DoH to adguards DNS servers from my router for my entire network. Outside Wi-Fi networks, I just manually configure my phone with the DNS and use the rest of this application, including the Safari content blockers normally. Gets me most of the performance of this application without my connection constantly dropping and constantly having to restart the application. Still the only application on mobile that works against video ads.

Recent iOS freezes. I have a few licenses and two of the mobile apps for iOS I love this product and stood by it for the longest time, until recent updates of AdGuard for iOS the app freezes and only show the shield symbol and wont go any further before s long pause and then “booted out”!! I haven’t checked to see if there was any correlation with the new experimental Quic protocol but I recently been selecting it to give it a try and that seems to be the only time when it started to freeze up now I found myself having to delete the app and reinstall it just to be able to go in and make adjustments again. As far as everything else this is a excellent app

Slow connection. I have a mesh network and when going from room to room because of apartment living I get interference from the conduit and breaker in my home. So thus I have slower speeds in some areas well AdGuard slows me down so much that when I venture into an area the other satellite in my network is covering zero pages will load. AdGuard destroys my connection l. Turn AdGuard off in the same location pages will open fine. AdGuard needs some serious updates it just trash to experience this on top of the fact that if AdGuard is doing a bad job on a page and you turn it off you have to restart your entire device for it to start working again. Please fix this or I will have to find something else and won’t renew my license. No point if for not reason it destroys your connection in a tiny apartment.

Much better now.. I had been waiting about 6 months after emailing support asking about making an easy way to block filters. I was told it would be in the next update and the update is here. The interface is better than the other adblockers with much more info and a greater aesthetic appeal. It reminds me a little bit of the desktop version. You can import and block/unblock domains on the fly. It's done very quickly with no time wasted. The only thing I can critique is that you can't search my domain category (i.e. CDN, Advertising, Misc, etc.) and to be able to make notes on exact domains in the domain log. I would say the price could be a bit lower for the DNS considering the other competitors are like $2 (even AdGuard pro, a different app, is $2) but eh. The app now shines above the other competitors. Edit: after aug 18th update it's even better. I used to have to tap on every suspicious domain name to check what category it was but now they have icons in the list for what they are. Mega time-saver

Best Safari extension!. A lot of people only care about the ad blocking it does, and it does that extremely well if you enable the right filters, however there are also many other great features about this extension! This is one of the best extensions for Safari, especially because of the privacy features it offers. This extension is one of the reasons why I only use Safari now! Overall, it is a great extension despite having many features (mostly not important) locked behind a paywall. Just know what you're doing and enable the right filters when using this extension!

So far so good! A+. Installed this on my iPad first, before any of my family’s iPhones, and I am pleasantly surprised - it actually does exactly what it is supposed to. No more of those hyper-annoying, sensationalist clickbait ads. Just news stories and legitimate links to things you actually might be interested in - not ads disguised as articles, or low-life tricks. I love the filtration and the promise the company makes not to use trackers. So far, I am loving this trial-run on my iPad and will most likely be adding to our phones next. Perhaps even upgrade if there is a paid version with more benefits? But this free version seems to do everything I wanted without bugging me to pay for another version. A+

Default free AdGuard fails the following tests. ETA: Still not blocking any ads with the FREE version. The free version is a joke! The free version is supposed to “ Block ads and trackers in Safari.” It doesn’t block a single ad! 👎 I tested AdGuard on some popular ad block test sites. I used the free version. I had all of the subcategories enabled. Everything was turned on correctly in settings for safari extensions. It failed to block an interstitial ad. It failed to block and “ad blocker warning“ ad. It failed to block a push notification request ad. There were multiple ads on the pages that AdGuard failed to block at all. The free version appears to be worthless. I cannot speak to the paid version. But they are touting this like it is the best thing since sliced bread, and it clearly is not. On the advanced test, the “blocking” was so extreme that the page showed up white and nothing showed up on the page. News flash: you aren’t helping me if I literally cannot see anything on the page. All I will do at that point is disable my Ad Blocker if I cannot see anything at all. Figure it out!

Let’s see. Reddit Rated this a top free stuff on the internet to take advantage of for free, and as an iOS user it sounded like it was worth a try and haven’t been let down yet. So good job reddit(so far), and a thumbs up to AdGuard(unless suddenly my sense of caution I ignored was right and my whole life is stolen by Debembe Numiponokee a Nigerian prince who quit emailing the world population, and started covert oppositional hacking under the guise of a promising app...lol) for being what it was said to be by many, and is so far a 4.5 star rated app. P.S. if the Nigerian prince thing happens to take place.... Face on you buddy boy! Be me if you’d like, but know I wouldn’t want to be. U.S student loans, and medical bills have made me like most. In the red and worth more dead. Lol

Amazing!. Do not mind the negative reviews - most of those users do not configure things correctly and do not bother to look for something that is right in front of you from the jump. I’ve had AdGuard for a few years now and I’ve seen it continue to improve. It’s adblocking/annoyance blocking capabilities are very powerful and have cleaned every page I visit - leaving no wasted space and ads. On top of that, with the new native dns for iOS 14, I have been able to use my NextDNS profile within this app and it’s encrypted more queries than the NextDNS app itself. There is virtually no ads on my phone at all and NextDNS has even double the protection in tandem with my safari blockers.

Best Adblocker. Straightforward UI thats not overly complicated and easily allows the user to custom choose what protection they would like. AdGuard has also included its own set of rules that have been built from easylist/easyprivacy & fanboy list and specifically customized them for the mobile platform and iOS specifically that can used by themselves, with easylist, or not at all. They give full control to the user, no sponsor ads or paid ads are allowed through. There is a filter that allows self promotion ads like the ones see when using googles search engine, but the user can turn it off and on. If none of AdGuards syntax rules block a specific popup, ad, or third-party widget there’s an option to manually block it and add it to the user filter option so its blocked in the future. Whitelist is also available to turn rules off on certain websites. And the rules update multiple times throughout the day regularly so the latest adblock protection is always used.

Sadly not for me. I’m currently looking into adblocking apps atm the will operate on the phone entirely, not on just ine aspect. In this case the basic and important protections and guards center on safari and little else. Though aware if I go pro some of is indirectly dine via dns protections and so on. Just reading through the reviews really had me sold on it capability, which is not in doubt, and more so seeing someone/the developer actually responding back on reviews good and bad. In most cases giving concise answers and explanations to the whys or look to fixing issues. That to me is amazing really and sadly rarely see. Especially today. So as nice as the app operates which I verified using safari only briefly to test the app and it does operate beautifully. It just doesn’t meet my needs. Thank you for making such a wonderful app.

We might still have to manually update our filters. I discovered by accident doing many manual updates to the filters that Easylist and EasyPrivacy are updated regularly every four hours. If you don’t see an update on the timestamps at least once a day then that means that all of the bugs are not yet resolved in iOS or the workarounds in AdGuard still need some work. It might just mean that the bugs in iOS have indeed been fixed. And AdGuard needs to put some things back to the way they used to be before they tried to get around the iOS 17 bugs. It’s like getting a new engine part for your vehicle that has bugs. You have to do modifications to the vehicle to get the buggy part to work. Once a new engine part comes in you have to work on the engine once again to make sure that the new correctly working part doesn’t break the engine. Until you have confirmation that your filters are being automatically updated regularly be sure that you manually update them every few hours.

Does not block DDG ads in iOS 17 but does in macOS. I’ve grown frustrated with this app as it’s supposed to work in both iOS and macOS. While it generally works well, it has started allowing ads in DDG search results but only on iOS and not in macOS. I’ve gone through all the settings in both platforms and as far as I can tell they are identically configured. I just don’t know what to do now. The support site for reporting incorrect blocking is so exhaustively complicated I bailed out of using it. Something somewhere has changed and is now working differently. NOTE: All the filters suggested by the developer have been turned on since I began using the app. That is not the problem. Something else has changed since iOS 17.

Unprofessional service. I purchased ad guard for life time approximately fews months already. And I enjoyed the powerful ad blocking. However, since the AdGuard, there is always a window popped out in my MAC said apple wants to make some changes. I ignored at first. However I could not stand any note after frequently annoying popped out windows hundreds of times after, and I agreed the change Which disabled the adguard. I tried reset all settings and reinstalled it. It just didn’t work any more. Therefore, I tried to contract with the AdGuard service. One point I want to mention that I was pretty impressive AdGuard service works for 24 hours even in quarantine time. However, the guy was not professional at all. I followed his instructions reset and reinstalled at first which did not work, and he once remotely controlled my Mac, but the problem still didn’t solve. Finally, he left a message said this case is not typical but I will asked for our workers solved it and contacted you at most in 48hours. THIS IS A FAKE PROMISE AGAIN! yes! Before, he just kept giving me fake promise. And this time I waited 4 days already. No replying, and even the phone is not available now. I tried to have my best attitude because I understand their jobs are not easy. But at lease, giving back me a professional attitude and available credit. BECAUSE I SAW THERE WOULD BE LIFE TIME GUARANTEE WHEN I TRUSTED AND PURCHASED LICENSE FOR LIFE TIME WHICH IS NOT CHEAP!!!

Critical Need. This application is a critical need for anyone wanting to use web services as they where once intended. Open a page free of constant ad and dialogs is more than annoying only to find out later that one thing you casually looked at is now following you across every page to open. AdGuard has all but eliminated these frustrations. You can open a page or go on a site and not get so frustrated just to find something. It’s such a refreshing and knowing that it is bettered secured provides peace of mind.

Love, love, love!!!. This extension does it all, I’m a victim of identity theft and this has been a God Send. For over ten years someone has sit around watching my ever move through my main email with yahoo. I had this email for over 15 yrs now. These people took every financial account I had and then spent money on everyone. They have accounts with each of the credit bureaus, they have subjected me to countless data breaches, in which they claimed my claim in their names.I have had no relief since August 2020 when I first found out that my identity was stolen. Sorry I’m rambling but I just cannot say enough about this AdGuard, it has given me relief it has given me options in my reliefAnd just when I thought it couldn’t get any better I got an invitation to do the testing! I’m at awe at the work you all have put in to help others, I would have given as many stars as there were if there could be more. My only complaint is I have bought the upgrade and it got stolen because these people are roothless and make aliases to every email account I make, then they take it over. This has happened with many apps and extensions not just this one! However, this one is by far my favorite then and now and probably forever. If you need something g that really works and that is user friendly, I’d urge you to try AdGuard and AdGuard VPN as well it’s a package deal really.

Best free adblocker you’ll find. When downloading it blocks all ads from appearing, like the ones that overhang top, bottom of screen, video ads and image ads, it is very helpful. However Pop-up ads are not blocked because they are not considered ads typically. I dont have, but i see you can buy premium to filter what sites you want to appear or something like that which means you need to manually copy and paste the ad URL into a blacklist i think.. i assume that this wont prevent the pop-up itself from appearing, only the site the URL came on so you still will have an annoying extra tab to delete. I dont think there are work arounds unless apple themselves fix that issue. Id like to know who actually blocks sites on their phone when you dont get viruses and can just not click it if given the choice. Anyway, 10/10 app itself and I recommend getting it and switching from Chrome back to Safari just for this app.

I feel betrayed.. The app does its job, and it does it well. However, the latest update claimed that it improved iOS functionality substantially...I really wish that I had read some patch notes prior to updating. They removed the ability to add custom filters in the free version. That was a feature that had been there for quite a while. The app had also been a darkly styled app...but now the app is sun blaringly bright; with the dark mode being locked behind a yearly subscription paywall. I would without a doubt purchase the premium version if it wasn’t subscription based. I wouldn’t even mind paying extra to do so. Honestly speaking, this is still a very good app, I consider it a “must have” for all iOS users. That’s why despite my dissatisfaction with the most recent changes to the app, I can not rate it any lower. That being said, I will always look at this app (as app people should with all apps) with a greater degree of scrutiny than I have in the past.

It works.. I’ve become so skeptical of developer claims and disappointed with “bait and switch” free downloads that I no longer have hope that any app will improve my life. I’m extremely delighted to find that this app, even in the basic free version delivers far beyond my expectations and has removed above 90% of website pop ups, banners and redirections. The included ability to surgically remove additional annoyances and define custom rules is an unexpected control that is decreasing my browsing aggravations while saving me time and improving my research results. The subscription is well worth the investment. If other developers are interested in growing their products they would do well to study this model of performance, value and service.

Absolutely great, but missing a simple feature. This app has been incredible, as has been the desktop version, but both are missing a simple feature. While I have scarcely seen an ad on safari since installing adguard, I have a couple of times seen it flag a false positive, and actual content I want gets blocked. While this is very rare, I would very much appreciate a little button that shows ads that were blocked on the page, with an option to “allow anyways” individually. Or even a button to disable until page refresh or something of the sort.

The Free Version Doesn’t Work. The free, basic version of this app does not block a single ad. I cook a lot, so I always have some type of recipe or food blog open, and those types of websites are notorious for how many ads they display. AdGuard has not blocked a single ad on any of these or any other type of page; I’m still inundated with banners, popups, and every other type of ad. I wasn’t expecting total coverage from a free product, but I at least expected it to do what it says. I’ve tried multiple settings, clearing my cookies and website data; I’ve even tediously blocked every single ad element on several sites, and yet, I’m still getting ads. Perhaps the devs made the base app so terrible so that people will spend money on the premium version, but with this version being so bad, I wouldn’t trust them to make the paid version any better. Save yourself the time and money and go with a different adblocker.

Better than every other Adblock I’ve used. This blocks all of the ads and redirect ads that others could not. By redirect ads I mean when you are viewing something and your browser makes you open a page full of viruses and its nearly impossible to close the page due to all the pop ups. This takes care of that. I am so glad to have found this, I can finally enjoy my favorite websites in peace without having my browser crash due to an abnormal amount of ads and spyware.

Works extremely well on IPhone Safari. Kept having trouble accessing websites because of over use of adds but with this app it was very helpful in getting rid of them. Upon downloading it shows a video on how to use it which is very helpful for many people who learn visually instead of teaching them with word instructions like with most apps. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work with chrome and I haven’t tested on my other iPhone browsers yet but I did try Firefox and it doesn’t seem to work there either. I would also recommend not using the paid version as it doesn’t have support like this one. I was actually introduced to this app from someone in the community I’m apart of on reddit funny enough and they even help teach me more advanced ways to use this app.

Even though it's not perfect, it's absolutely fantastic!. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. The title seemed generic so I assumed that the app would be a little low on the quality side. Boy, was I wrong. This adblocker goes further than blocking ads in your browser. In certain apps, it seems its almost random which ones, but it blocks all of your banner ads and sometimes even those annoying video pop up ones. Or i'm just not seeing them. I don't know, but if it is truly blocking these, that's absolutely fantastic! The only reason it's not five stars is because it lacks as a browser Ad filter, often letting ads in safari show.

So far so good. I installed it on my iPad and iPhone for Safari. I don’t use either as much as I do my main laptop and desktop but for the times I do the ads were getting out of hand. On one website, the same ad appeared eight times on the page at the same time. It has only been a couple of days but the ads are gone. Whether that continues remains to be seen. If not, I will go to plan B. This is an update since my original review a couple of months ago. It is still working as it is supposed to on both my iPhone and my iPad. None of the ads I was getting before have come back nor have there any new ads. if it continues to work as promised, I should have no problem. so far I am very satisfied with it.

Great app, but there is currently a privacy problem with the DNS blocking. Overall, this is a great app. I love the control over blocklists - I can make custom whitelist or blacklist entries, both for the web blocker and also for the DNS-based blocking that affects all apps. I also like the options to use advanced syntax for blocking so I can block specific things while leaving others unblocked. But are two things about the app that I do NOT love, and that are major privacy concerns to me: 1. If you use the DNS-based blocking, there is a section that shows your last 1500 DNS requests. Both ones that were blocked and ones that were not - so it records every site you’ve recently been to. This is great for troubleshooting, but you can’t turn it off so you have to manually clear the logs whenever someone else might look at your phone. I hope future versions of the app will add an option to turn this logging off. 2. The current version has a bug - when you clear the log for the DNS-based blocking, the “most active” section does not get cleared. So the app will happily tell anyone with access to your phone what sites you visit most frequently, and until they fix this bug there’s no way to get rid of or clear that data. Other than that, this is a wonderful app. I really hope these problems will be fixed soon in a future version.

Stopped blocking ads after a few weeks. When I first installed this app, it worked great. I used the profiles built in and didn’t worry about ads. But then some started showing up. I figured just needed to update so searched for updates and verified latest. But a few were still getting through. It wasn’t terrible, so I left it. But then it just stopped blocking ads altogether. I reinstalled it, checked for updates, switched to different profiles... nothing worked. I left it installed and grabbed another, thinking maybe another update would fix it and I could just use a secondary option as a helper, but then I replaced my device and the helper app I’m using is no longer available, so I tried this one alone again. Absolutely horrible. It’s not blocking a single thing. I’ve finally decided to say good riddance.

Holy crap!. So first thing I did after I downloaded this was go straight to YT and even though the yellow ad tab is there, it went right over it with NO AD!!! Then I clicked on another song and boom.. again NO AD.... y’all I am about to cry! All the features still work in YT as well. The auto play still works(with others I’ve tried it didn’t) and there is no difference in playing the videos with quality and so forth! Sooooooo amazing! Now I can worship with NO interruptions... even if I had to pay for this ap I would in a second but just the fact that it’s free and it works.. is a huge bonus and completely unexpected! Love love love you guys soooo much! Edited, well I’m not sure if YT has an ad blocker “blocker” because now all of the ads are getting in and I’m back to square one. I’m considering being done with YT. Uninstalling this app now since it has been rendered useless for me now. So bummed.

Relieved. Wow! Finally can read a page without the text jumping all over the page as ads pop up. Also can see more than three lines of text at once. I am so relieved to not have to worry about what offensive ad is going to just show up with no warning. Ads were so out of control I’d give up and just click off the page I was trying to read and move on with my life. The app was easy to set up. THANK YOU. Seriously thank you. Oh and by the way...I refused to read the ads or respond to them due to the fact I was so angry about their overwhelming interference in what I was trying to do on the web.

Highly recommended. I love this app. I’ve downloaded quite a few network apps over the years but AdGuard has the best user interface and their support is amazing. I’m obsessed with network security at a very amateur level and after helping me work through a user error, the support contact asked if there was anything else he could help me with and I sent him a rather long list of questions about security in general. The support contact answered back promptly and thoughtfully. Not all vendors will do this in my experience.

Old Devices Not Adguard's Fault.. Many of the complaints and one-star reviews are not valid and should not be attributed to Adguard. Most of these users are still using old phones and expect apps to function the same way as they did five years ago. Adguard has progressed and evolved with newer devices, so any issues that arise are likely due to outdated hardware rather than the developer's fault. While I understand that not everyone wants to upgrade their iPhone to the latest device, it's unfair to blame the developer for this. It is important to recognize that app developers can only do so much, and it's ultimately up to users to ensure that their devices are compatible with the latest software updates.

Eat your battery without using your device. The problem with AdGuard…. I’ve been using more than 1 year and I love the DNS only, the reason is because the problem with AdGuard their apps always have a problem. But the big problem is they don’t fix nothing, just add new things but I don’t see the difference or feel that. This days I was having trouble with my IPhone 13 about my battery and I was “why my IPhone after 2 hours lost a lot of battery without using my device?”. Example I had my IPhone in 80% after 3 hours without using my device, my battery was in 30% and I was like “what the freak?” I verify my battery usage and the intruder is AdGuard taking a lot of battery but a lot. I uninstalled the app and my battery is running well now. I always waited for long time they fix a lot of things but they have a issue a lot of times. I give up, but if you still want use AdGuard I recommend you to use their DNS only because is the only thing is working well for the moment. Oh and if you want to report a bug and issues don’t report it. Why I say this? Because I did that a lot of times and when I sent to them the logs, they responded “we don’t find any issues” is a waste of time. Don’t install their apps of AdGuard on any devices. And this is a message for people who are working there: please take more seriously to fix the issues and bugs. I prefer have their DNS only but if in the future their start to have issues I will not use AdGuard DNS too.

Good. I enjoy reading comics on safari, but often ads will be gross or NSFW and that bugged me. This works perfectly for my use, no ads show up that are potentialy 18+. This also helps because I know some younger children because I babysit and sometimes I'm on my phone, once I got a call from a kids mom asking about an ad on my phone that her daughter saw. It freaked me out and I've had close calls similar to that one. This app however makes sure none of those bad apps show up on my phone and nothing bad has ever happened. I recommend this app strongly.

READ THIS - It works!. Don’t mind the negative reviews, this adblocker does work. If the free version isn’t enough and you complain about the premium payment, then you should have no reason to comment as you need to understand the developers need a way to keep things up and running for us to get the best experience. I have a license for both Mobile and Mac and they both work like a charm. I have been protected against malicious websites, saved data while browsing and have blocked hundreds of thousands of ads while seeing little to no breakage and ads that slip through.

not like use to be. this use to work great in beginning but, it seems since the pay for extra features showed up, regular app works less and less as it use to do perfectly! currently, before and after current update, there are ADS, mostly adchoice ads, showing up again.. some pop ups on sites also came back a bit back. my settings weren’t changed so that is not the issue.. and reporting AD issues is a joke, you need to be a total pro at using this software/this app to answer all the technical questions they ask you on like 8 pages/sections just to report the issue, i gave up after section 4!! thinking they forgot most of us are just regular adblock users and not puter/software nerds!! btw hard to block these now showing up ads like on wedmd when you click on adguard in your browser and get a popup that says “error: this website’s security policy does not allow launching adguard assistant”” ..

Comment. I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for your product. It is much appreciated. Unfortunately I live on a budget so I don’t have your pro version but I have the free one and I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am that you make your product available to those of us who can’t afford to pay. So far I haven’t got the first complaint. I only have good things to say about your product. I do pass along to family and friends. when I am happy with the product like yours I do talk about it to family and friends. I hope you always have your free version. Thank you very very much!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Still in the first 24 hours of using, but good so far.... So far it’s doing well! I’ve only had it up and running now for about a full 24 hours. So far it’s doing what it’s supposed to be doing for me. We’ll see if I need to update this later down the road, but I sure hope not! I don’t mean to be skeptical, but everything else I’ve tried seems to not work, or crash, Or slow down my phone and stops blocking anything it’s supposed to after so much time of using them. I’m hoping I don’t have to update from here and it ends up being great like I have heard it was, because it was highly recommended to me!

Could be better. works well on ads on side of websites, but only issue is that it does not stop redirected ads, it does get rid of the picture but it doesnt stop the redirect.

Used to be fine.. Even just the free version used to work perfectly and did everything it said and everything you’d want. Since the update though it’s just not working properly anymore and I’m dealing with all the same cancerous garbage from sites that I originally downloaded this app to get away from.

It just works :). Hi Took me about 2 minutes of using my ipad after downloading adguard to realise how great it is. Browsing is much smoother & faster. i hadn’t realised how much the adverts etc were choking up my browsing. Ripper :)

Worked well to start. The first few months it worked great, didn’t stop all the ads but there where way less, after a few months it seemed to stop working, can’t tell the difference when it’s off. I bought the yearly subscription.

Just perfect. System wide blocking with all the options to tweak things to your either general or specific needs. Highly recommend.

Works Really Well!!!!. At first I was pretty skeptical but it works really well and is really easy to use and set up (takes around 2 minutes to set up) Amazing app I would give this a 10/5 if I could

Doesn’t work well with iOS. When connected to wifi, it works as expected. However, as soon as you disconnect from wifi and switch to mobile data, websites don’t work, and some apps don’t detect the internet. So, when adguard is disabled, everything works normally. A ticket has been logged, no response. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Works perfectly on latest iPadOS and MacOS. The advertisers will always keep finding ways around stuff and these guys find ways to block them again. Does an amazing job of blocking unwanted ads during shows and on sites.

Brilliant!. I totally forgot ads were even a thing! Easily the best ad blocker on ios. A feature I would like though is to be able to password protect my custom block list.

Revised: this is the best!. I was originally quick to judge a credit card fraud to this app but it turns out I was mistaken. It was another app! I’ve been using AdGaurd for a few months now and now I cannot imagine browsing the internet without this! It blocks 99% of ads and nuisance on the internet. Now when I use anyone else’s phone it is like walking into 1990.

Could be improved. I feel as if the Adblocker isn’t that useful for other app uses, it is also very complicated to use on browsers including Safari. I do however enjoy the experience on my laptop and I find it to be easy and quick on it.

It does the job. I installed it, followed the first half of the guide, restarted safari afterwards, and no ads were left, it seems like the second half of the guide isn’t necessary for me, but it is good that the app is so direct.

It works!!!!!. It stopped the annoying ads that was sending safari’s scrolling crazy.

Very good. I used ad guard in my laptop for a long time and it was amazing!!! Once I found there was a mobile version, I was so happy that I can enjoy ad free content again. This app is amazing and is a must! But for some apps, there will still be an add that pops up before the video but when I use it on my laptop, there are no apps so can you please try to block more ads in other apps?

The web is unusable without it. Tried the mobile web without AdGuard once, never again

Doesn’t work on device I’m using, but still great on laptop!. When I use my Laptop it works fantastic! But when I use the Device I’m using right now, which is a iPad, it doesn’t work even though it says “enabled”. I don’t know if it’s just me.. But I’m happy that it works on laptop cause that’s what I usually use. Thank you for listening and please try to fix the issue I am having.

Excellent product. Heard about this by chance, gave it a go, and couldn’t be happier. I’m using the free service and seriously considering paying for the additional services offered which seem to be well priced.

Works really well. First try and it worked i thought it not going to work like the other ad blockers but it did really well Great app.

Does not work. Blocks nothing and I paid for a subscription. This app blocks nothing. This app doesn’t block adds at all. Safari, firefox and Facebook browser ads still show. There DNS protection does nothing either. I switched back to the free app Block Bear which is 100x better than this garbage app that I PAID for.

Works like a dream. I was getting so annoyed with pop ads on safari so I looked up ad blockers on google and this had the most downloads and was free too, once it was download and set up, I’ve never been happier! All the ads and pop-ads have gone! Highly recommend this app!

Instagram app still has tones of ads. I followed all the steps from the website but for some reason there still are many ads on Instagram app. But on Safari is perfect blocking, good job!

Simple & Effective. Works remarkably well, simple to set up and is always being updated! Worth the purchase!

A lot of good filtering options. It looks like this app will have me covered for many different pop ups and not allowing different adverts getting in the way of my browsing experiences. Still new to the app but fingers crossed.

Never browse without it.... Started using Adguard on my iphone about 6 months ago and its now installed on all devices and have forced family and friends to do the same. The dev team deserve a medal.

What happened to the 'light' theme?. First off, this is undoubtedly the best ad/content blocker available for iOS. Free, reliable, extensible, quick, and easy; nothing comes close, even paid offerings. My only complaint is that an update some time ago removed the 'light' theme that fits well with iOS and replaced it with an inverted 'dark' theme which is quite jarring and unpleasant to my eyes. I hope the developers return the ability to select between the two.

Does what it says on the tin. Just works. Now surfing on a mobile device is possible without constant ads

It does what it says!. I have only the free version but I’m happy with it and will buy the full one now that I know it works

Fast and convenient. Annoying ads are rarely seen since applying this app. Thank you it was a fast and easy process.

Unbelievably effective. Wow, I can’t believe this app really works, just ticked all the boxes in my settings as instructed to do and voila, no more adds. A very big thank you

Nothing else compared. Once you download the app and pick your filters, you don’t have to touch it again. I’ve used the macOS version for years and the iOS version is even more seamless. I think everyone should have this

Works perfectly. If you want a free app that gets rid of those annoying ads and such I’d definitely recommend this. Works as intended

Love it but.... I love this a lot and it is very nice to have a ad blocker on a phone, however could you please send extend it’s coverage into chrome and other browsing sites. It would also be nice to have a blocker for things like games etc. however I am not aware as to wether this is dress or or not. Please respond, and besides this it’s very nice :).

Best adblocker but drains the battery. Undoubtedly the best adblocker! No questions. But it drains the battery like anything. Almost like 5-6% in one hour on standby. This is mostly seen after the iOS 14 update. Would love if the team can fix it.

Great ad blocker for Safari. Works as intended. Thank you team for the work and service you provide.

great but doesn’t always work. I use on my computer but once I found out it had a app as well, I downloaded it as soon as I could. It works great but sometimes it doesn’t work even after I update the app. How can I fix without having to buy anything?

It works really well. When I started using it I was surprised that a free solution to Adblock was on mobile, I love this, The only thing I want more from this adblock is app support, other than that it’s amazing.

AdGuard. Does what it says. I every happy with it. Best part is it gives you the protection you need without you noticing it. 5 Stars

Love it. I so love it…….best app I have ever downloaded. I’m now doing everything through Safari, deleted the actual apps and saved the website to Home Screen to access the exact same website as the app provided………haven’t seen an add since…….Love it!

Superb app. It really saved my time and privacy. Everytime i used to open the website where i watch my shows, i had to go through 7-8 spam websites to watch the content. Thanks a lot developer. Keep on good work, Cheers

Works. Stopped annoying ads immediately

Why isn’t making me manually block the ads. Each time I go on the website, it’s making me manually block the ads I thought that it automatically did

The advertisers have outsmarted. I got sick of 50% ads - 50% content on the news sites I use- CNN in particular. I downloaded this software and it worked for a while. Now the ads are back as bad as ever - so in the arms race the advertisers are back on top. That’s if you use Safari/Creepy Google- there is an alternative - and you don’t need any ad blocker - but I’m not going to say what it is - don’t want it compromised by the scum bag monitoring and surveillance companies.

Works for limited amounts of time. I used this and at some degree it helped block ads for a couple of months then it started to get one pop up ads every time I use a website in safari then multiple ads after opening scam windows like it doesn’t have this app at all from the beginning.

Doesn’t work anymore?. The first month of using this adblocker was great, so convenient and helpful, but now all of a sudden the ads are back and the blocker isn’t doing anything in the slightest to show that it’s even working a little bit.

New features in v4.0 are amazing. I’ve been using this app for a long while and it just gets better and better. A big thank you to the AdGuard team :)

The best and perfect adblocker for iOS. AdGuard works perfectly with iOS if you enable all the available filters in the app settings. There is no other apps in the world right now can block all the ads except sponsored ones in iOS and other phone apps work well in iphone 11 of mine.

Excellent. Amazing how many people try to track you. Plus the adverts on my FB have disappeared

Pro Version?. What’s happening with the pro version? I bought it before the free one was updated. Now the free one seems to have more features than the paid pro version. Please update. Love the app though. Great work!!

Works great!. This is the most unbelievable thing. It works amazing and stops all ads and even redirect ads and malware. Thank you for creating this!

Unsatisfactory. I have had this app for a few days now and it says no pop ups ect ect WRONG I am still constantly getting these pop ups ect nothing this app says it does works at least not for me so I am going to cancel my subscription with this app and find one that actually does what it says

Don’t download these are fake rateings. Wish I could rate it a 0 I went on every app it douse not work it also said you need to pay and the developer don’t Evan say anything about it being free Cause it’s not

Hit and miss. Blocks some ads and allows other ads.

Excellent. I love this app, it saves me so much time when watching youtube. I ditched the youtube app and started watching videos in safari with this blocker enabled because the amount of ads were starting to get ridiculous.

Great for Safari, not much else. Its great if you primarily use safari, but if you use google, chrome or the youtube app, you’re still getting ads. To the developers, a leg up over other apps like this would be make it work on things other than safari.

I’d rate lower if i could. Turns out, this “free” app is anything but. Seems the developers don’t understand how to properly advertise their product so don’t rely on them for services as you never know what other garbage they’re pulling underneath that.

almost; but pretty much useless. obviously good for safari, but i don't even use safari. i use chrome🤷‍♀️why not block youtube as well? oh and maybe every internet app across my phone that has annoying ads - which is why i am looking for a so called "ad blocking" app in the first place. fulfill your sole purpose. 🌎 pls ty

Can’t stress enough how useful this app is!. I can finally watch things on safari without being bombarded with ads, thanks!

AdGuard. Does not work! Paid for lifetime subscription and still get all the ads I got before. No contact to complain that I can find. Rip off app!!

Used to be great. Now that Youtube prevent the ad blockers. It does not work. Any plans to update your code to continu blocking YT ads?

Would give a negative rating. I don’t understand why people think this is such a great app. Within the first five minutes of downloading I noticed three things. 1. It has access to your passwords, credit card information, and other personal things like that. I am not okay with that. (I know you can deny it access, but the extension won’t work unless you allow it). 2. It crashed my phone. I don’t know if the app is just poorly coded or something, but after running the app it crashed my phone twice. One time a few minutes after I downloaded it, and the second time a few seconds after I restarted my phone. 3. I already mentioned this earlier, but it doesn’t work. Not much to it other than the only purpose (which is to block ads) doesn’t even work. Overall very disappointed with the app. I though it would be great after seeing the reviews but I couldn’t be more disappointed. This app is worse than those fake “win money for free” games.

Needs continued ios 14.8.1 support. Not blocking ads after updating to ios 14.8.1 which has been out for a couple of days now plz fix.

Doesn’t work. Don’t purchase. 1 star. Hm I decided to purchase the premium and unfortunately it doesn’t work the way it is intended. Ads are not removed when using YouTube on Safari. I see it on every second video. In addition, when using it my wifi connection drops. As soon as it turned off, it reconnects. Don’t recommend. Would like a refund.

Updating…. It never stops “Updating…” in the app. Just cycling forever

Great App!. Blocks every app even youtube when used in safari!! great work keep it up! 😎☝🏽💪🏽

Adblock. Can’t even tell if it is working. Nothing seems to be blocked. Not very user friendly and difficult to figure out

No longer blocks YouTube ads in Safari. Used to work just fine but not any more… Same ad experience as the native YouTube app.

Not bad at all. I’m not even gonna lie it worked amazingly. No trial necessary or anything like that. Yes it only works for safari but that’s all I needed it for. 🎩🎩🤞🏽

The best. I use it on my Pc and on my phone and cant believe it work. When you watch movie or show from streaming site and it alway send you to other page, this app block them all the time. You cant get better. Really appreciated thankyou

App doesn’t block safari YouTube ads anymore!. Not sure what happened but my safari doesn’t block YouTube ads like it did before! A shame, but I still think the app works as I don’t see ads anywhere else on various webpages. Try to fix the YouTube ads error, please!

Don’t download this.. They bait you into getting the app by making it free to bump up the number of downloads and make it to the top of the page; then forcing you to buy a subscription to even use the app. I can see a premium mode that needs a subscription but the whole app? That’s a bit overkill. Also hundreds of fake-looking 5 star reviews. They overuse emojis more than you’re Siberian grandmother who doesn’t know how cellphone work. In other words, they are a bunch of jerks.

Confirmed – does not work with YouTube.. YouTube was the app I specifically wanted an adblocker for. I’ll be deleting AdGuard and trying something else.

Thank You For Existing. I was getting really tired of closing pop-up ads. I was also worried what I might’ve been letting onto my device going to websites with tons of pop-up ads. Quick and easy fix.

Good. Good and efficient

Très bien. A permis d’ identifié plusieurs malware etc sur mon IPhone. Merci

Doesn’t work. It makes me manually block every ad and when the site refreshes I have to restart

No longer blocks ads on most sites. I’ve used this app for a couple of years, and in the past couple of months, it has failed to block ads on an increasing number of sites. Cancelling my subscription and looking for an app that works.

Déçu. Ça marche même pas. J’ai toujours de publicité

Awesome.. Blocks a lot of stupid ads I formerly saw on Safari web app.

Stopped working. The app was working just fine since I got it last year i think. Then stopped working sometime around last few days. Please patch it. I hate the ads

Not Sure Why This App has gotten So Bad. I had this app for years. Had to factory rest system, reinstalled this application and now it blocks absolutely nothing! It tries in the beginning then just hopeless fails. I did a hard restart, deleted and reinstalled all yielded the same poor results! Disappointed

No longer blocking safari Youtube ads. Was okay the entire time i was using but recently the ads still show up when I use YT on Safari. What is going on?

Scam!. I’ve paid lifetime subscription and it still shows ad. Avoid AdGuard

Doesn’t work with YouTube.. I find those intrusive ad’s so annoying and was hoping this Adblock would get rid of them on YouTube.

This is a shame. What is this app doing here!!! This is a shame for AppStore

Slow for updates. AdGuard premium has been broken since iOS 17, I have reached out to AdGuard, who says they need to release a new app update to fix the bug here we are over a month after iOS 17 has been released, and no new version has been released!

It use to work. I use to watch youtube videos without those annoying repetitive ads in Safari. Something changed because it doesn’t block them anymore.

☠️. bro it’s so bad like the way these reviews be so fake is funny they bait you into getting it but it don’t even work 😭😭😭

Protection on all devices. I love this app. Paid once, and protected on iPhone, iPad, and MacOS. A+

Best app ever 🤩. I use this app because I don’t have Netflix so I use websites to watch free movies and tv shows. The ads slows down the website. This app blocks every single ads I used to see before I downloaded it.So far I’m very satisfied with this app. Thanks so much to the developer ‼️

Underrated as h***. Not only does this ad blocker work extremely well, but there’s also a VPN included!! On the internet, the only good VPNs I can find are the 70$ yearly memberships. This is literally 1$ per month. One flipping buck! And you get a fully workable ad blocker! This is truly a dream come true. Simple to set up, in app design looks great. Works smoothly. No extra lag being on the VPN. Highly recommend this app. By far the most underrated ad blocker/vpn out there.

It’s amazing. No ads no redirects to those sexy naruto ads or stuff like that it’s nice use only 6 dollars a year it’s more than worth it

Stopped working. Worked fine until this morning when it just stopped connecting. Nothing fixed it. Cleared cache, reinstalled, restarted the iPad...if it was the end of a trial period, I’d expect a notification out of courtesy, not this endlessly frustrating technological loop. In the end I had to get rid of it, because while it refused to connect the WiFi symbol wouldn’t display, causing all kinds of confusion. Badly done, Adguard. I was with you for years.

Stopped working. Paid for the lifetime pass. It stopped working after a few weeks. Tried updating, deactivating/reactivating, reinstalling, etc. nothing seems to be working. Not sure why I paid for a lifetime pass when it stops working in a month…

Good up til now. Worked like a dream but is now not quite working with YouTube on safari, videos just dont load

DONT UPDATE!!. Devs just removed everything and want to charge - MONTHLY (looooool)

Pc phone. So I downloaded this app on my Pc and laptops 10/10. Didn’t know they made one for mobile phones I’ll rate it in about a week

Works nicely. My only issue is that I have to manually block ads, although once it’s been blocked it doesn’t return on that site again. Also, when you block they’ll take you to the app for some sort of confirmation stuff. Overall I don’t think it’s a hassle considering it’s free...

Does not block google search ads. Used to be a great ad blocker, until it stopped blocking those annoying ‘sponsored’ results in google searches.

Does not block ads wit( YouTube app. I was hoping this would work on the YouTube app. Sadly it does not. Am removing the app from my devices.

Perfect 🤩. I love this application it help so much

Turns your iOS into a vintage 3G device. Transport yourself back to 2002 AOL internet speeds with this app. Not only will it not block ads, it will also make your device ridiculously slow! But wait! There’s more! Once you take your $5 and score a 3 pointer (all net) into the trash can, you find out it only works on Safari! Even though there’s a completely separate Adgaurd Safari app. Isn’t that awesome?! But wait! There’s even MORE 🤓. If you use safari incognito mode, it doesn’t work there either! This app is perfect for those looking to downgrade to a flip phone. No need! Give these guys $5 instead 😊

Great! (so far..). I got this app to block the annoying ads on safari when watching anime! But this also works for shopping websites and more. It was very easy to set up and only took about 30 seconds! So overall it’s amazing so far! I say so far because obviously apps may mess up in the future, if a problem occurs I’ll update my review. Anyways don’t think twice this app is free and it’s great. DOWNLOAD IT!! 😁🥳 Edit: Now that I got this app not even a day later but websites are starting to lag! I deleted the app and it’s lagging no more! So it has to be the app! Fix this please!

Great App!. This is a great app! It has eliminated the pop-ups & ads that were deterring me from using my cell phone’s internet browser. Since I’ve downloaded AdGuard, I’m finally able to use my phone’s web browser. I’m really pleased with the app. Also, I had to call the company & their customer service was great. I’d highly recommend this app! (The company is also helping during the COVID-19 outbreak & giving 90 days free! It’s a very generous & community-centered gesture that is sincerely appreciated.)

Close to being very good. After trying the free version on mac, I purchased lifetime premium. Had a couple of issues with upgrading to the premium on mac. Disappointed somewhat with support team. Basically said that the problem I had didn't exist on their end and made no effort to assist further. This works great on the iPhone. On the Mac Sonoma it breaks the Google user verification routine and my vpn wont allow email links that they sent me to upgrade. Worked around everything except the Google issue. Overall I like it.

excellent. i hate to add to my apps these days, but the internet is so swamped with ads i can’t even read half the blogs. literally ads covering the page, poppups coming back up again and again and again when i close them, and so on. it was either give up safari, or try an ad blocker. i’ve put this on my iphone 6 and am putting it on my ipad. i bought pro for the ipad. it’s working great on both. my phone was running very hot if i watched even a one minute video, and warm just on regular sites. that stopped the moment i enabled adguard. i will get pro for the phone next month even tho i mostly read ibooks on it (i spend much more time surfing on the pad.) this app is excellent and i’ve had nothing but improvement from it. ❤️

Very confusing. So there are 2 versions of this app... the “free” one and the Pro one for $2. This version lets you subscribe to seemingly the same features as the pro version for a lifetime one time fee of $12. After doing some research I was under the impression that the advantage to the “Premium” version of this app is that you can use it across multiple devices. It even appears to have a sign in link in the app. So I pulled the trigger and purchased the $12 version... guess what, the log in option disappears after you pay. But I swear prior to purchasing it said I could use it on all my devices. Needless to say I requested a refund from Apple. You guys should really do a better job of explaining the differences between the apps or just remove one to avoid confusion.

Blocks Pop-ups. Other ad blockers work well, but most don’t block pop ups that bring you to another site in a new tab. AdGuard does block those pop ups though, as well as many other kinds of ads. It’s also a really good extension for Google Chrome on my MacBook. Only one complaint. It sometimes blocks things that aren’t ads, but I’ve only noticed this on one particular site. Other than this, fantastic app!

Extremely Satisfied. For my first review I’d like to say that I was surprised at the fact that this app even worked. A few months back the adblock services I was using had an update and stopped working, and I was unable to find another one that actually worked. I dont see a single ad on safari using this app, and the countless amount of additional settings available are amazing. I also prefer using this over adblock on my computer, so thank you AdGuard! 😁

Works with Ventura. This is one of the best pieces of software I have. Initially after installing Ventura I had some very real issues. But after a total reinstall of Ventura OS it worked. I can not say what happened. But when I installed Ventura on a different MacBook Pro I turned OFF all Safari extensions. And after installation of Ventura Ad-Guard worked as smoothly as before. Ad-Guard is even more important now as Ventura allowed my MacBook Pro to be overrun with ads. Don't believe me? Turn this software off and see what you get.

Bad?. App doesn’t seem to do anything other than slow down my connection. Safari’s built in privacy protection is much better, and something like pihole would get the job done easier, without relying on an app that doesn’t tell you anything more than “sub, sub, sub!” . The real issue I have is that they seem to intentionally obfuscate the account deletion to process after signing up thru apple. Acted like I had to set a password, or finish setting up the account. None of this is necessary. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they just haven’t optimized the apple account on their end. Either way, if you too want to delete your adguard account and you’ve signed up through apple, just go to settings > sign in & security > sign in with apple > find adguard and click delete. Ez pz. It should go without saying, you will lose all access to adguard and will need to make another account, but who wants to do that?

Great app, just wish it worked more consistently.. This app works great, when it does. I'll turn on the firewall, and all is well until I close the app, which turns off the firewall. This app is useless if I can't get the firewall to work in the background! When it does work, it's phenomenal. I forgot how many ads cluttered every site and app until it stopped working a few weeks ago, and now I can't stand it. Every time I re open the app the firewall is down, so I turn it back on, just for it to immediately go back down when I close the app. Please fix!

Very nice. It was really nice on my laptop as an extension. Very easy to set up. Easier as an extension though. It also didn’t always work on my phone. I used it on a website on safari and I would still get adds. When I tried reporting them, I had to click on it but it would disappear so I couldn’t report it. Don’t know if it was from the website or not. Overall, very good and I highly recommend it.

Garbage. No where does it tell you what you can’t do with the software, and it doesn’t tell you until AFTER downloading and agreeing to the Eula (btw it’s free because they collect and sell personal info it’s in the Eula). Apparently the “free” version only works on safari. Big L from these guys. Do better. Gonna find a better free service to use. EDIT: finding out that the free version is junk and doesn’t even work in the one app it claims to work on makes me highly skeptical of this software. It has to be malware at that point. I’d give negative stars if possible. Please dissolve your business and never create another program again.

My favorite adblocker for all my mobile devices!. AdGuard is great because it does something that other similar programs in the App Store do not: It actually blocks all ads! Better yet, it does so without replacing them it's own ads or secretly collecting/selling your information! That fact that this a rarity among ad blocking software is disturbing and really says quite a lot about humanity as a whole, but it is what it is. Thank you, AdGuard, for being awesome!

Good for safari, but who uses safari.. It’s not the apps fault it doesn’t work on anything other than safari for iOS. The ability to work on other browsers is simply out of their control but most people and almost all younger/somewhat technologically knowledgeable people use the google chrome app or DuckDuckGo, the latter of which is supposed to be more secure. I normally use chrome but if I’m doing a lot of research I’ll use safari just for the ad blocker. It’s still significantly easier to use a laptop/PC for browsers because ad blockers are easy to use. For what it has to work with it’s pretty good.

Was disappointed at first, but it's good now. I was a little mad at first because it didn't work as described or so I thought. There are a little more steps involved that I stumbled on by mistake. Once you open Safari find the option to manage extensions and turn on AdGuard and viola it's the best thing ever. If you miss this step it will not work. But after this, you will love this app. Best adblocker ever!!. Remember to go into Safari app click manage extensions, it's in the address search bar, you're welcome.

Won’t let me use lifetime license. I purchased a lifetime family license a couple years ago that included a license for up to 9 devices. I have only used two of those devices, my old phone and a laptop. I recently got a new phone and it will not restore my license and let me use my already purchased license on this device. If I login to their website it shows my lifetime license with 2/9 devices used, but when I login to the same account on their app, it does not load anything when I attempt to restore purchase. I reached out to adguard through their website, and I never received a response. It’s a shame that after years of using their product, I will be switching to another service.

Only says it blocks Ads and Spyware on Safari. Hi, this is one of my favorite AdBlockers to use on my computer, but I am rating it 1-Star because it doesn’t block ads on any other app (e.g. other web browsers and mobile games). In the near future, can you make there be a beta (then final) option for both your free/Lite & Paid (for $9.99) App versions so I can also get less annoyed on my phone (just in case if my Naka AdBlocker App doesn’t work). (P.S. There also used to be an AdBlock App that I used which is free for Safari, but costs $1.99 to block ads on other apps, until I exchanged my phone for the last time.)

Fully Blocks Legit Websites Yet Ads Leak. My family pays for this service. I consistently find that it blocks safe and legitimate web links. Click in a link from my county government email. Nope, nothing loads. It is maddening how much it blocks valid content. The reporting process to fix problems is cumbersome and is a multi-step process. Was this designed for people who have nothing to do? I have never seen such a poor reporting process. Yet ads still leak through and reporting that is equally painful. The regular safari ad block is better. Edit: before writing this review, I contacted the developer and received no response.

So so. App is decent, could be much better when they decide to use more varied people on the overall testing of the app. I recently emailed in a problem about the app making other apps crash. The app could use some UI polish as well, things are just clunky. If you need more testers put out an offer to people. I would love to especially being a blind person who relies on voiceover to use apps. Make the changes and make me give you all 5 stars by improving the overall effectiveness and ease of use of the app.

Needs an update. Completely blocked after I first installed it last year when watching YT in the Safari browser. (haven’t touched the YT app since, lol) Recently (a few months) there’s be black voids in videos, or a white space with the “skip ad” icon for a few moments, before the video would run as normal. Now the ads are back completely.😑. Great product, but please update it so I don’t have to deal with the ungodly annoyance of YT’s aggressive advertising again.

Please Help Steve!. Currently being held against his will and not in accordance with the Geneva Conventions. They’re literally making him write release notes for food! His only means of communication are cryptic messages in the Version History of this app. To read Steve’s latest message go to the release note for version 3.1.4. Steve, if you are reading this: we are here for you buddy, we love you, hang in there. We’re sending help, we‘re gonna get you outta there big guy, just hold tight! -The WNBA Let Us Down

Newest update disabled the app. This may be a mistake, as this app has been a godsend for a long time for me now, but since the update, whenever I try to block an element on a page, it just opens a new window tab in my safari and does nothing about the element I tried to block. No new rules are added to my rules list. It is a huge bummer because I am now experiencing more ads, even though the app looks to have more polish. I hope it is changed in the next update, because this is otherwise an amazing app I hope to continue using.

Help get rid of those “congratulations” pop ups. I was at my wits ends with those pop ups that take up your entire iPhone screen and doing anything but closing the webpage brings you to the ad site. Clear my cache, website histories etc all were only temporary fixes but within a few days I’d start getting them again. Someone suggest I try AdGuard and it’s been like night and day since I downloaded it. Haven’t received one pop up since installing. THANK YOU!!!!

Awesome. I usually don’t write reviews because I have better things to do, however, this is the first adblocker that blocks those extremely annoying pop up windows that will open a new tab and sometimes even open another app! Also I’m doing the free version so definitely try this out if you were like me looking for an ad block that actually blocks ads lol

Need support for other browsers and applications...... I’ve been using this AdBlocker on all of my computers for a very long time. Honestly, it is my favourite application for Ad Blocking. So when I thought about getting an AdBlocker for my phone I decided to choose this application instantly..... But it is depressing that this application only supports Ad Blocking for Safari Browser, where generally I use Google Chrome. So, that makes this application is useless for me. So it is my request to the developers that please make this application supports other browsers and applications too.....

Works as advertised. I like that there’s a lot of options. They could have made it in such a way that a user just needed to click one or two things and be done. However, by creating a highly-detailed, options-rich app, you get the impression that AdGuard is quite personalized and works super hard to protect you from having to see any annoying ads!😁

Absolutely worthless. What is the purpose of having an ad blocker, it’s the block ads. It’s to make your Internet surfing smoother and more productive. Yes we’ve read all the claims, and are looking for software that actually does it. This one fails miserably. The biggest test of an ad blocker is if it triggers do you are running an ad blocker ad blocker that locks down the entire site. There is no purpose in pain good money for a service that can’t even meet the most basic of needs. There’s no purpose and even having software on your iPhone, if you have to wait list the entire Internet. This software is absolutely worthless, because there’s no sense in blocking ads if you can’t get into the website.

Problems with past several iterations.. For the past half a year I've had nothing but connection problems. Constant disconnects when leaving a Wi-Fi area. The "reset network" function seems to not help at all. I constantly need to disable Wi-Fi and Cellular Data to get back online. When it works, it works, but it's been too frustrating recently. I have to add to this review even more. It appears that the DNS module causes the most problems. I can't pinpoint if their own ad blocking DNS servers are just that bad, or if leaving a Wi-Fi network severs (pay attention: I wrote severs, not servers) the DNS connections altogether.

Good, but…. I find myself having to frequently re-enable Adguard DNS in certain situations, like after disconnecting from my (not Adguard) VPN when I’m on a safe network. It really makes me wish there was an Adguard widget to simplify this process. Also, how is it that Adguard doesn’t sync its settings between iOS and the macOS desktop app via iCloud? Isn’t this supposed to be a claimed feature? I also find that going to the same sites after manually matching the settings between the the two versions doesn’t always get the same results. I’ll get ads on one where the other seems to block them.

Better than the others imo. I’ve been hoping from ad-blocker to ad-blocker, even got two that were supposedly “the best” only for those to just not work. This is really the only Ad-Blocker available on iPhones and other apple products that has worked for me. Though there’s a few websites (mostly streaming ones) where it doesn’t work, but other users are saying you can fix that, so I’m probably just dumb, haha. good app.

Above and Beyond a no nonsense app. Been using this app for a few years and have never had a reason to uninstall it like so many resource hungry, obtrusive, blocks too little/too much. This app has perfected the balance if you do have a desktop with 8 gigabytes of RAM or more and use your computer for office, or light duty work you should turn on the feature to send data to AdGuard to improve filtering for everyone, your pc won’t know the difference. This feature reduces redundancy in the filtering capabilities.

I love this ad blocker but…. Over the course of a few months I’ve realized that this app has worked less and less for me. It used to work on every game I had and was really helpful, but now no matter what I do it seems like it’s not blocking any of the ads. I always hate mobile game ads so when it finally got rid of them it was a relief but now they’re back to being just as bad as ever. Tell me if there’s anything I can do because I miss not having ads and I paid for this to work

Works Great!. I’ve looked all over for even a decent ad blocker that flies under the anti blocker radar that most sites have. Couldn’t find one that didn’t set them off that also blocked ads properly. Then I found this app, which is easy to use, blocks ALL ads (even those stupid pop-up ones that normally get through), and gives a convenient tutorial on how to get it set up in the application. By far the best ad blocker I’ve ever seen, and I’ll continue to use it for as long as I’ve got a smartphone.

AdGuard is the best ad blocker. Years ago I switched from AdGuard to 1Blocker believing the hype. Ads were constantly missed and when trying to block them manually it literally loads the non-ad version of the website making it useless. I switched back to AdGuard and instantly wondered why I ever left. Integration with iOS is perfectly done, it blocks most ads without leaving giant white space on websites, and if it misses something it’s super easy to manually get rid of the ad. Keep up the great work devs!

Ok add blocker. Not complete.. I got this add blocker to stop getting Facebook redirects. You know, the ones where “you won a new iPhone!” That you get when you open almost any site from Facebook. I don’t mind the little ones ON the site, but the complete redirects makes it impossible to do anything. :( I added this and though it works IN safari, it does NOTHING for the Facebook redirects. That lost it two stars for me due to being the main reason why I tried it. I CAN get them to work, but I have to open the link in safari BEFORE the redirect kicks in. Uninstalled and looking for a new option now. :(

Simply the best. I was a long-term user of all of the well known ad blockers: Ad Block Plus, uBlock Origin, etc. I’ll admit I tried AdGuard because they were the first ones to work with the new Safari. Since then I’ve moved all of my devices over to it and even paid for lifetime subscriptions. Hell, I even point my Pi-Hole to their free AdGuard DNS, which is an awesome service that they provide to the community. Why do I move? It basically does what it says on the tin. It blocks the ads, it doesn’t slow down my browser, and it just works! Really awesome people working there too!

Battery Hog. First the good…. This product will block ads like having a PiHole (open source tool for blocking ads written for raspberry Pi) but full time in your phone. And it blocks app-level ads too (like in FB and AppStore games) Now the bad. It’s a pig. My battery usage is 4x normal when I use AdGuard with DNS protection turned on. Likely due to the VPN profile that it installs combined with the guard software itself. I cannot get thru a day without having to plug in my phone using DNS protection. So unfortunately I’ll likely have to stop using it.

Not so Great as it once was. I have had this installed on my last 3 iPhones and currently on an iPhone 11Pro. Lately I’ve noticed an increase in ads and on sites I never had ads before. Small advertising trailers running across the bottom of the screen while I’m on the NYT’s and WP sites which just started. Since I thought it got turned off I went into the app and see they are selling a $5 a month version. So that must be why a increase in ads on sites that never had them before. I will be looking at different blockers since this one is not cutting it anymore. I wouldn’t waste my time on this app if you are just looking around because this one longer works like it did.

Working like a charm. I was an avid user of well know Adblock program but after the recent iOS upgrade that app stopped working. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews on it. I decided to try this app out and it’s working flawlessly. I read a lot of light novels online and they have tons of ads that can cause the page to crash. This app has stopped all the ads and stabilized the page. You guys have a new fan here!

Works great for privacy-centric folx. I’ve been enjoying this more integrated ad blocking service (compared to my pi-hole). It works very well, is easy to work with, and support has been good. My suggestion to the devs (and if this were to be fixed, I’d revise my rating to 5-star), is if the vpn is active and I take my device away from the current wifi I’m on, and then come back later, I have to open the AdGuard app to disable and re-enable for a new connection. Otherwise, I get errors in apps and web about being unable to connect to the internet. Thanks!

It works. On my iPad trying to read the content on a site that had so many ads, including video ads, that it was really hard to see the content. Took a break to research ad blockers, found AdGuard, installed it, click on a couple of Safari settings to enable it, as described in the video that shows when you open AdGuard. Then went back to the same site that had the horrendous ads, and presto! No ads! Nothing but content! Bravo!

Nonexistent support. Been using this for years with no issue. Then I started seeing ads on every webpage when I contacted support they told me I’m so many words I need to upgrade to premium. Or, at least it felt that way. AdGuard blocks ads in Safari – it loads sets of rules to the browser, and Safari interprets them and hides the content. But if you want it to remove ade from Chrome and other apps, you need to unlock the Premium features and set the DNS in AdGuard > gear > DNS Privacy > Server for AdGuard DNS. Some ads won't be blocked due to the limitations of the DNS-based filtering. This was a canned response to what I sent them. I never mentioned chrome or other apps. Frustrating to say the least.

What happened to the UI?. Great app and it does the job it's supposed to. That's not my criticism. In a recent update, the UI for "Rules are being converted/content blockers are being updated/etc." was changed. It used to pop up nicely in green above the button in the center of the screen. Now it's in a gross white pop up bar across the entire bottom of the screen. Not only is that a bad user experience, it's also visually blocked by the always on bar at the bottom of newer Apple devices. Let's change that back in please for 5 stars

Exactly as advertised. I’ve been dealing with annoying pop ups on a few sites I frequent. Tried a couple of other free ad blockers with no luck. Was giving up hope until I tried adguard. Instant success, no more ads, no more pop ups opening tabs and trying to tell me I have a virus, nothing. I’ve only been using it for a short while so far but I’m incredibly pleased by just the immediate changes and am optimistic about long term usage.

Not sure if it even works. All I know is I have to enable like 10 separate extensions for it to block anything and it’s just annoying. Pages still load slow and I’ve actually found Ghostery to work much better. One extension to activate and it works. No Ad’s. I’m not sure who lied and swore by this app, but I even tried the paid version and there is absolutely no difference. Doesn’t block anything more, I was still getting ads and slow page loads. I’m also not comfortable with having to turn on 5-10 extensions that all say AdGuard -“insert an annoying pop-up here” for it to work. Sorry.

App is great…. However with YT trying it’s hardest to stop adblockers now there’s starting to be some issues. Sometimes you have to refresh the page multiple times to get the video to play or it will just load a blank black box. I do appreciate the app. I like to listen to music at night from YT and sometimes the volume discrepancy between the actual ads and videos is very jarring. Also it works wonders for my mental health during election season. Would recommend. Just know the app isn’t perfect.

My AdGuard review. Loving it. Even on my chrome book, it blocks more ads than Adblock or Adblock plus. I first got AdGuard when a friend recommended it when I asked for tips on a good adblocker. After I installed the extensions and went to websites, on ads blocked, Adblock is 100 ads, Adblock plus says 97 ads, and AdGuard shows infinite ads blocked (yes, the actual infinity symbol), no joke! Most importantly, AdGuard is free, while the others cost money. I highly recommend AdGuard for those in search of an adblocker.

Blocks everything including pop up sites. I use a free anime website that would often give pop up sites. I looked around for a while trying to find something that would block them but that didn’t work until I found this. Now I don’t have to deal with those pop ups! I didn’t even have to pay for the premium version.

AdGuard — adblock&privacy App Customer Service, Editor Notes:

In this version, we’ve added HTTP basic authentication for DNS-over-HTTPS. This is useful if you have your own DNS server and don’t want someone else to use it. There is a nuance, though: there are not many DNS servers that support this feature right now. But soon they’ll become available in AdGuard Home and AdGuard DNS, so stay tuned! Besides, we’ve fixed minor bugs and updated DnsLibs and Scriptlets.
