Cute concept, bad gameplay. I really like the design and idea but it’s so difficult to move around and play. The idea where you can’t move for a second or do anything after 3 moves is really annoying, and it makes it really slow. I haven’t made it mast the second level in an hour because of how the skeletons 2v1, and i die to the second skeleton if I don’t already die to the first. There’s potential, but please make at least the first levels easier and make the moving restrictions easier!

Simple yet charming. This game originally had a rough look to me but once I had started playing it’s pixelated art style and strategic gameplay changed my mind

An ios 8-bit game thats good.. I really like how this is kind of a puzzle and its a fair game, the enemies are good and not too strong, the puzzles are very interesting, and the gameplay is very good. Please make updates and continue the story because I just ended it :( . There should be more stages or a second game(I prefer more stages)so it would be a long game.

Great game. I think it’s a pretty good game. I just found it awhile ago bored and just gave it a shot. It’s very different from what I usually seen and that’s pretty good. But I don’t like the the ugly ads popping up but that’s ok. Other then the weird money/time/coin barrier making this feel money grabbing. It’s a well ok app/game. I also keep dying at the dog part, but that’s my fault for being bad at playing.

Great Game, Frequent Crashes. The more I play, the more often the game crashes. I'm stuck on Nightmare 14, not because it's difficult, but because it crashes too often (at least once a game now), making it nearly unplayable. Please look for whatever exception isn't being handled so I can finish this wonderful game.

Love the challenge. This game is challenging, but it’s not unbeatable! It’s more of the so hard it’s fun type of thing. Despite what others say, i don’t think the coin-to-power up ratio is unfair. If you take the time to unlock the chests you’ll have enough coins to steadily upgrade. I do not like the having to wait x-amount of time for the upgrade to apply, but that’s splitting hairs. Great game!

It's amazing. I have been playing this game for over a year off and on and I never beat it until now and I love it! However I wish there were more levels. Also a progress tracker would be helpful so I can 100% each level.

Meh. The game is a super cute idea in and of itself, but there needs to be some introduction to the game of how to use the buttons (I still don’t know what that clock button thing under the map does) and how to beat the skeletons. I was really confused and just got frustrated, because sometimes I would defeat the skeletons, and other times I wouldn’t, even though I did the same thing. I thought the gameplay was really cute and fun despite the skeleton cave theme, but the gameplay needed to be explained in my opinion.

Screen issue. Idk if anyone else is having this problem, but the screen seems shifted to the right about 10-20% and the top is cut off so I can’t see whatever is up there. I’m playing on the XS Max. Seems like a good game though, wish I could see all of it. Edit: I realize this game hasn’t been updated in a year, so obviously it wouldn’t fit my phone. Changed to 4 stars because it seems like a fun game.

Disappointed :(. I was really excited to play this game but when I tried to play it after downloading it just wouldn’t load and I kept on getting kicked out. I closed out all of my tabs multiple times and tried to turn off my iPad and turn it on again. Nothing would work :(

Arcade-Lovers Heaven!. This game is perfect for people who want a challenge, an old 8-bit art style, and fun and strategic gameplay. Great way to pass time and I haven’t had any issues with this game.

Great game. It's a great game and it brings back memories but the upgrades and getting one shot ruins it. However, after getting all the upgrades, it's a lot easier. But the game keeps on force closing in the middle of a level, forcing me to replay over and over again. I've been stuck on level 9 since this afternoon because it keeps on force closing. Please fix it, I really wanna see to the end of this game.

Good game, but.... I do love this game! I do love the style of the game, and I like the objective. The only thing that I wish there was, was a regeneration system. You lose hearts a lot and I think that it would be great if we could have those hearts back after 10 seconds or so. Also maybe if you watched the advertisement then you get more hearts. Also, an easier way to get coins, sorta like a reward after each level. Anyway, pretty snazzy game!

Simple but fun. It has old school level difficulty and will have u planning moves in advance if you want to beat it.

Bad. The game wants you to watch adds or pay for coins to make progress at a reasonable pace. Once you upgrade something, health, moves ammo, at the most will take 2 hours before you get it. Gave it a second chance. Initially I believed this was a game that was held back by microtransactions but after coming back to it I can honestly say there is a lot of game here that you don't have to pay for. The upgrade system seems like overkill until you realize how many coins you get from exploring and finding chests, and the game forces you to strategize and really plan out how to do each dungeon. No single strategy works for every encounter- and that's fantastic. Great experience, need a sequel.

Oh dear lord!. This has been the best mobile game I’ve played in some time. Why did it have to be so short!!?!

Fun, Challenging Game. I love this game and it is really fun. It is one of the most fun games I have played in a while. I really like how it almost has a gameboy retro feel and it feels like it is somewhat related to Legend of Zelda the Minish Cap. I definitely recommend this.

Good game hard mechanics. For anybody who's back to playing this game for nostalgia, know that its a pretty good game. but It takes a good ten minutes to get used to and understand how the game works and what to do. Once you get used to the controls, by level four for me. It throws you under the bus and makes you play as the dog. other than that, i feel its a very good game

Pretty good. I think the game is pretty good overall and I enjoy the storyline and retro game boy feel but I never really liked the controls where you had to switch to a gun and then back to walking mode (which made gameplay difficult). Good game though.

Polished Masterpiece. I’ve been playing this game for years and I’ve beaten it more times than I can count. As far as mobile games go, it’s one of the best I’ve ever played. The only criticisms I have are that the dialogue could have been better, and the gimmick levels, particularly the dog one, are more annoying than fun. Also, it would be nice if each level had a % completion marker so you could know that you found everything there. I always wanted to 100% the game, but without knowing which levels to revisit, it’s too much of a chore.

I want more!. Very cool concept and we'll designed. Actually took me a while to grasp the turn based concept. Challenging without being frustrating. Highly recommend.

Good design terrible gameplay. This game has potential. At the moment it is terrible. If you lose your hearts you have to start again with 1. Your sight range is too small to “think ahead”. To refill your hearts you have to pay with coins. You find coins in dungeons but you get killed so fast because you have 1 heart and can’t get more coins to heal. You can also heal with med kits, which are guarded by enemies. You can’t sneak past them because your sight is small. Everything blends together to make it impossible to progress. If the developer is reading this, you spent all your time on design but not the gameplay. If you want people to actually enjoy this game, fix it. I get you want to make it hard, but giving people no chance to progress is artificial difficulty. Just make it to where your hearts reset back to 3 when you go back in. Then the game would be possible, and enjoyable. Good day

Clever and challenging. Into the Dim is a good, genuinely original, extremely fun retro-style strategy game, perfect for someone seeking a challenge. Its unique twist on typical turn-based mechanics has you constantly on your toes. One slip-up, one move forward too many, one momentary failure to plan ahead, and you're dead! It really makes you keep track of your very limited resources and think critically about every move. I also love that the ad videos are totally optional--makes for a great uninterrupted gaming experience.

You have to think. One of the best games I have played in a while when it comes to a turn-based dungeon-crawling rpg. It’s refreshing to find a game like this after the saturation of mindless rpg idle or clicker games on the market. My favorite part so far is the puzzles incorporated into this game and how they change. I enjoy being challenged the way this game presents it. When I make a mistake it motivates me to keep playing instead of being annoying. I realize that I’m able to pass the level I’m stuck on if I think more carefully instead of having to grind for days or months like other idle rpg games. Let’s not forget to mention the art style and awesome sounds plus music! Thank you for making this.

Disappointed. Very disappointed that in order to be able to handle later dungeons you have to either pay real money for upgrades or wait days doing nothing but collecting the free coins or watching ads until you have enough to purchase anything useful. What a waste of time.

I love the game. I like the style and how everything plays, the music adds a special touch to it, the dungeons and everything are perfect, I just wish there were more games like this in the AppStore.

This game is literally the definition of awesome!. Every time I pick up this game I get into grove every time and can never put this game down! It’s not a perfect game, there are some things that are flawed, but Nothing can ruin the game (even itself!) the game only has 16 dungeons at first and get more as you go, but it felt like nothing was put into most levels, just a few monsters and or puzzles. I think the game would be awesome if you could get way bigger dungeons or different weapons with more power or storage for bullets. Or even a infinite dungeon that continues pumping monsters and levels! I am only like 39% through the game, but I love everything this game offers, even the colorless design and amazing art that’s in this game! I really hope you continue with this game, or some more games in the future! (And just between us, I would pay at least 1.99 extra for it personally)

Good, but.... Random crashes, and not fitting to the screen size of the XS Max make trying to find out how many hearts you have left a guessing game. Also, the dots are never explained. (...and I only knew I was not seeing health/hearts by seeing a screenshot on the store page.)

lots of fun!. It’s a great strategy game and has a wonderful retro vibe. It doesn’t demand constant attention or bombard you with notifications. I mostly like that it’s really simple yet still requires some creative thinking. Overall, I really enjoyed it.

missed opportunity. game is hardly enjoyable without in app purchases i would rather pay 10$ once for a full version then 1$ to get more hearts or whatever the art is very nice most deaths are caused by enemies that were offscreen the music is great the dungeons are boring the puzzles are too easy the game feels like one of those EA parody videos. it feels like a console game at first, but then you realize to have any real fun you have to pay, and even then its just kind of mediocre.

Great short game. Simple but fun sliding-block and pressure plate dungeon puzzles. Fun figuring out tactical combat when you need to learn how to sense and anticipate enemies beyond your limited light range. Very challenging and cool lock-picking mini-games. Tips: Action point upgrades are costly but very powerful. Figure out how to restore health and ammo without spending coins so you can save up. Learning how to sense targets you can't see will save you a lot of health, and is essential for beating the end boss.

Absolutely amazing. I am a person who never reviews games, but I feel it necessary to leave one here. I’ve been looking for a good rpg that’s not just a bad rerepresentation of a Zelda game or whatnot. The challenge here is clear from the beginning and the layout is clean and very enjoyable! I have played this game nonstop for the past week. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves games but doesn’t want all their storage taken by a data-sucking monster of an app.

Great!. Fun game. A little frustrating with wait times and such, but with freemium games becoming the new standard, I guess I've come to expect it

Think ahead?. The game demands that you think ahead, plan your moves, and yet your viewing arch is WAY too small to do this. How are you supposed to think ahead to avoid monsters when you can't even see them?! Round starts with one heart, and one turn in something runs up and one taps you like a John Wick skin with a blue pump! There may be upgrades to fix this, but they would cost way too much. So much as refilling your health costs 80 coins. And when you're lucky to even get two coins from a round, before a skeleton pops in like FNAF and kills you, how could you even begin to purchase this without in-app purchases. I'm okay with in-app purchases such as these, they're why we even have these games for free, but not to so much as pass level 7!

Great Nostalgic Game. With its vintage graphics and cute storyline, what's not to love about this game? Dungeon crawler-type games used to be some of my favorite on my gameboy when I was younger, and this game does great justice to the genre. The first time I downloaded it, it would keep glitching and automatically take me to the boss level after the first two or three levels, but I redownloaded it and that glitch stopped. Besides that little issue, the game was perfect! Although I couldn't figure out how to solve all of the puzzles, I did have fun trying. I'd probably even be willing to pay a dollar or two for more levels. If the lost dog storyline could be more developed and incorporated more into the game, I think that's make it even cooler! I'm excited to start the game in nightmare mode now. 😊

Amazing. I love the retro design and music that this app offers. It has unique gameplay that requires you to think out every move carefully. The dungeon designs are great and I love how you only show ads if the player wishes to get a second chance. That's how ads should work (I hate banner ads)! This app is definitely worth trying if you like pixel style games. Definitely make a sequel for iOS 8!

Decent. Fun game, a little hard and is slightly pay to win. I’m glad you don’t have to pay for lives. What I mean is if you die, you can keep trying over and over again without “running out of lives” like some games. Love the art style.

Great little game. Really a fantastic game. Lots of love and respect to the devs <3. The art, animation, music, and gameplay all come together to make a really satisfying experience. I love the boy and his dog duo as well. This is a strategy and puzzle game with the spirit of an adventure rpg. The difficulty is spot on. I loved the enemy variety and the animations (esp the enemies disintegrating and the barrels exploding). The level progression and player character leveling system are also really well implemented. And the way each dungeon is segmented makes it easy to play in short bursts. I really think this is a great dev team and look forward to any future games these folks create.

Good game, broken in some ways. Overall this is a good game. Though it was just updated so that not all levels were unlocked, I am here to talk about the difficulty. Some parts of the game are easy, but it's the little things that make the big problems. For example, the health whenever you die. I think it is unfair that you have one heart left when you die. Sometimes there will be heart containers nearby when you start a level, but since everything one shots you in those circumstances, it takes luck for no skeletons, bats, etc. to spawn around you. Another problem would be the cost of upgrades. I understand that the point of high costs would make the player play the game longer, but since it takes a while just to get 20 coins, getting 80 to refill your health, only to die again would be a waste of a lot of coins. My thoughts would be to make everything that is buyable with coins cost half the price (or more) cost , making it easier to advance throughout the game.

Scale issues on 12 Mini. Parts of game pushed off screen on 12 Mini making it impossible to get out of certain sections, leaving you stuck. Statistics and Info screens have no button to exit. During gameplay screen ends immediately below controls. Botton 1/4 inch of screen pushed off display.

Hurry up and wait!!. So I grind to get 50 coins and am all excited to increase my movement. I pay the coins but it says I have to wait another 10 minutes before I use it. So I have to quit the game and come back 10 minutes later? That's pretty stupid. This doesn't seem to fit with this otherwise charming game. It ruins the accomplished feeling. Maybe in ten minutes I'll have moved on to another game and forgotten about this one altogether.

5/5. Great game. I have been having lots of fun playing it. My only problem with it is how short it is, I hope that they update it at some point and add more levels.

Better than most turn based dungeon crawlers. Mechanics are fair, in game purchases aren't needed but help, the game doesn't push ads or pay to win and the puzzles are challenging enough to get stuck for a few minutes but never impossible. I love the music and sound effects that are paired with it but the text repetition gets old and seeing text after every mob killed gets annoying. Still a great mobile game especially to kill time.5/5

Only Rated 3 Stars to Maybe be Noticed. So I want to start off by saying this was a pretty fun game. It requires skill and planning ahead, which I thoroughly enjoyed! The coin system seemed unfair to me at first, until I discovered a puzzle room. The chests they give you in them are very generous and enough to cover you for most of what you need. THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THIS GAME 3 STARS AND NOT 5 is because of **(spoiler incoming)** the final boss. He takes all the skill out of the game and turns it into a complete guessing game with his invisibility factor. He also cannot be outran (I have max movement) and is extremely tanky. I was lucky enough to hit him 6 times once and still didn’t win so I have no clue what his insane health pool is in addition to his already scummy mechanics! The only other complaint about the game which is really maybe hitting the devs more is that watching continue ads aren’t worth it 99% of the time because it restores a whole 1 heart.

Awesome game. Great graphics, gameplay and sound. Unfortunately I have to agree with another reviewer in that it only provides a few hours of entertainment before you finish it. Hoping to see a sequel (maybe with randomly generated levels).

Great game!. Into the Dim is a dungeon crawler with strategic elements and perma-death, making for an enjoyable mobile experience. I love the classic pixel style and the pick up and play style of gameplay.

Oldschool Zelda fans rejoice. Puzzles are challenging, enough so you feel super satisfied every time you knock one over. Difficulty curve is beautiful. Combat and exploration is super fun as soon as you get your head around the mechanics. No mechanical issues. Well done devs, this is a really enjoyable game!

Hard but Fun!!!. this game is hard, but I've enjoyed it sooo much. after much practice and determination I was able to complete the first level. and I can't wait to see beyond the second level (I've only had this game for at least four hours now).

Don't let this break your heart.. This game is stupendous. Fair, brutal, puzzling and innovative, it would have always held a special place on my iPad for its sheer brilliance. Except it cheats. The last level contains an unbeatable, invisible and random final boss, intended only to extend game play by being as unintuitively difficult as possible (think kaizo Mario hard). Buy it, love it, but be ready to realise that the developers cheated on the final level.

Challenging and fun!. If you're inpatient this game might be hard for you to get into at first. But once you understand how to avoid certain enemies and use your moves carefully, the game becomes a lot better.

I don't really know. It seems like an okay game but i was expecting something a little different and feel let down (I was expecting something like undertale :P) Also i didn't really feel the need to continue because i didn't find a good enough reason

No too bad. Old school type game, simple and not too challenging. At this stage I would like the controls to be a little more responsive.

Only hard if you don't understand it!. This game is well balanced. I closed it down the first time because I was frustrated, but the second time around I worked out the move system. If you look at your number of moves and your enemies you will work out how to play this game strategically. The people complaining simply didn't understand it. You don't die that much. Also, rewarded video are optional, you can buy premium (which is very cheap!). I played the whole game, upgraded all my stuff with coins leftover, just by watching videos and solving puzzles. Very enjoyable. You will get your time/money's worth for this cute game, and the art is really nice. If you're too cheap to watch a video pay the developers for premium. Just don't whine about it to your mum. Also for those saying the boss at the end is impossible, you are just a bad player. I beat it on my third try. Just read the gameplay hints as you progress and upgrade all your stuff. Have bullets and use your gun to locate it. PLEASE PPL. I recommend the devs to improve the tutorial, you are losing players! And the hint to plan ahead became annoying when you accidentally die, it's like a slap in the face :P

Excellent game. This is a hard game if you don't play chess, the only difference being that you can't see past 3 spaces in a circle. That brings the game down but not by much. Definitely recommended if you want a challenge. A+ artwork.

10% skill, 90% luck. It's not that the game is hard, I like hard games. It's not that the controls are difficult or because you die all the time. This gets two stars from me because you die so often due to forces entirely out of your control, but I like the pixelated look. Starting at the second level you start encountering enemies with movement that exceeds your own visible range, which means you think you're safe then out of nowhere a monster comes along and wipes the floor with you. It's entirely luck as to where each monster in a dungeon spawns so you can't even strategise by comparison to your last life. You only start with three hearts to begin with, and three actions; of which each action can be used to either move or attack. The first enemy (skeleton) requires three hits to kill but also have three actions. The second one has five actions. Your visible range is a three block radius around you. Yes, the game is playable. I really like the visual aesthetic and the gameplay concept. But given the random enemy spawns and random enemy movement, it's a painfully laborious process to get through each level. If you like games where your characters die just because of bad luck and not in any way through means you control then go ahead. Otherwise I recommend skipping it for a less infuriating game.

Crashing, won’t open. Was looking forward to playing this but the game crashes about a second after opening the app. Needs fixing!

Had high hopes, was disappointed. This game is more strategy based than RPG. I saw this game and thought it may be zelda style with great little dungeons and upgrades, instead I found it was a dingy little game with no instructions and turn based movement. You can't expect someone to watch an ad for 30 seconds for a portion of a life. I would not recommend this game, and the two stars are merely for graphics and not gameplay.

Good tight little game. Good tight little minimalist strategy dungeon crawler game for playing in short bursts, while being able to be completed in a reasonable amount on time. Nice gameboy-esque graphics. It does have micro transactions and ads as it is a free game, but these are optional and non-intrusive and can be avoided if you want. I watched some ads to speed up my progress a little bit and to support the developers.

Hard but satsifying. An old school arcade it is. Ie, it is hard and you will die often. I think the continue mechanics are driven to make you watch ads, as are the high coin costs to refill health and ammo. But otherwise this is a unique and fun game that I can't seem to out down.

Game, ad, ad, ad, ad, game, ad, ad, ad.... Way more ads than there is gameplay. They last 30 seconds and appear after about 20 seconds of gameplay (when you die). Health system seems terrible (you die very easily unless you pay for upgrades). Even if it gets better later on, it's still a horrible start to the gaming experience.

Not enough!. 15 levels are not enough! Such a brilliant game!

Clever. A bit hard for me to get into at first, as there is no tutorial I didn’t get the whole numbered steps and turn taking idea, but after another go at it I got it worked out.

AMAZING. I find myself a pro at this game, and enjoy that because many people end up quitting at the boss level. I completed the Boss level on my third try! It's possible to beat him, but many people are too impatient and have no strategic mobility towards the game. TIP: When the boss hits you, you either go up, down, right or left and you'll see the attack button. That's 5 hits. But then he disappears and you lose hope. But wait! If you look closely at the PIE thing, it spins around 6 times, meaning he goes around the map 6 times and you have to create a predictable analysis to determine which way he was likely to go. And also, please make a longer sequel, this game was extraordinary and I absolutely loved the mysteries hidden in each level. Amazing gameplay! (PS) the boss can only take 10 hits and then you've completed the game!

Good game. This game was fun originally coming into this game I thought it would be like inside or journey with an in-depth story that you interpret for your self but it wasn’t. The game kept me entertained for the bulk of the time but my two main problems where the controls they don’t work and there stuff and hard to use and second the music doesn’t sound right it doesn’t fit and it doesn’t feel right for the situation but I do understand it would be hard to get some fitting music. The strategy was pretty simple but over all fun I never had a point where I actually had to sit down and think about what I was doing but if your looking for a little qiet relaxing game you’ll enjoy this. Please actually read my review the bulk is in the writing not the number and while this game sometimes fails it has a lot of fun parts and potential I just thought you might need some harder levels thanks.

Great Game!. Yes, in the beginning the controls and whole turns between you and the enemy's are difficult to understand but honestly, it isn't that hard to understand. Once you've become smart enough (or at smart enough) to understand the controls, the game is great and allows you to think strategically! Dying within the game is great because it allows you to understand where you've gone wrong or how you can improve. I've already finish the current levels but cannot wait for a sequel or another app/game just like it. Also the pixelated interface looks amazing! Great Job! I definitely recommend this! :)

Helpful?. It's not hard at all, everything you do and the enemy's do takes turns. Skeleton have 3 health and three moves like the stock character you begin with. To kill a skeleton without damage to your character, make sure you are three move away from a skeleton. Normally the skeleton will come right next to you and have no more turns to attack, allowing you to kill it with your three moves. There's a pie like button to the bottom right if the screen. That will allow you to skip the rest of your move, that is useful when you have reached your three steps away from your skeleton but still have moves. This might not be a review but I hope it's helpful.

Why all the bad reviews ? D:. I got this game and was a bit lost at first but once I figured it out it was easier, still a challenge,but who doesn't love a challenge. Before I got it I read the reviews saying it was full of ads and was impossible to not die, I started playing and didn't suffer from either of those things. Yes there are ads but you only watch them if you want coins or to continue once you die. And impossible ? Only for people that can't think before they do. It's far from being impossible so I definitely recommend this game. :)

Fantastic. Simple but addictive gameplay. Resetting levels can be annoying but you'll soon learn.

Boring and Doesnt make sense. I get you need to progress through this game, but maybe a little more instruction and some sort of clue to what you have to do at the start of the game would be great, instead of heres a wall heres a dog and heres a skeleton, figure it out 😅😅😅

Nice art nice gameplay. Contrary to other reviews, it's not too hard (at least, as far as I am, which is level 5), and you don't have to watch an ad each time you die.

Too hard, and too many ads. Every time you die, you have to watch an ad to continue. The game is set up so you die CONSTANTLY. In the first 10 minutes I died 10 times, and had to watch 15 ads. This isn't a game, it's an ad delivery system.

Great game. Into The Dim is a hard strategy game where you have to follow the dog and find your way out of the dungeon. I'm on level 3

Not bad. Not Good. IAPs. Combat is based around gotcha's that frequently aren't obvious or avoidable. Because of this it can get very frustrating. I'm a huge rogue-like/lite fan, but this doesn't press those buttons very effectively.

A well rounded game for its price. A nice simple game that delivers exactly what it offers. A very well rounded turn based dungeon crawler. Only played it for an hr or so, but will definitely be completing it.

Fun, Simple & Challenging. Really love the old style to the game. It's a bit hard but once you understand it, it is much easier and becomes more of a challenge then a struggle. Love the sounds too and it's a great design!

Clever idea and nice execution. Honestly, a clever little game. Using the very number of moves you have as the mechanic of the whole game is quite clever (I’m not too sure of any other games that do that mechanic). Each monster has a number of moves, and (unfortunately) you need to learn their movement rates before you can run around and attack them. Hint: it takes a movement to strike (for them and for you)

Wasn't sure now I like. Wasn't sure how it all came together at the start but persisted a little bit there is a really good review on here that explains it really well free to play and watching adds every now and again helps but not necessary. Work out the moves system and use it to your advantage. Play smart :)

Awesome game!. Into the Dim is such a great game! Having just completed it, I cannot wait for a sequel/new game just like it! While the controls may take some getting used to, once you have the hang of it the game becomes a strategical delight. With the cute graphics and an appeal to your inner child's love of mazes, Into the Dim becomes a little addictive. Would highly recommend it to people of all ages!

Clean, simple, strategic. This game is perfectly made for those 20 minute train trips. The strategy isn't too overwhelming but enough to keep me interested. Really enjoy the simplicity

Good game, can be better. The game is interesting, but not very easy as it requests some thinking and counting. ADs are a bit of annoying, as they are loud, long, boring and you cannot turn them off. Level 14 - upstairs and downstairs rooms might have bug, as the movable stone disappear after shooting, even the trap has been turned off. Level 15 - died in 5 moves, no idea how to beat the boss, instruction needed. Overall good game, and looking forward some update and bug fix.

Turn-based play highlights strategy. I don’t like feeling rushed as I’m swarmed by a bunch of OP goons. The turn-based mechanic is reminiscent of tabletop RPGs. You know how far you can move and how much damage you can give/take. You also know how much damage/attack/movement your enemies have. This is not the kind of game where you just build up ridiculous guns and brute force. As demonstrated in an amazing level where you have no weaponry at all, it’s all about strategic movement. Also, the aesthetics are gorgeous. Bravo. Can’t wait for the next instalment.

A few hours' entertainment. The gameplay is turn-based; you and enemies have a certain number of moves/attacks per turn. In itself, this is not a bad idea for gameplay. Part of the problem, however, is that the view is not large enough to see all enemies (especially birds) that will be able to move and attack you when your turn ends. So this takes a lot of the strategic element away, and there is a great deal of luck involved. Health does not fully recharge when you die, so you then need to play the same level over and over trying to find a health pack, since paying to recharge your health is very highly priced. And, as others have said, there is a LOT of ads. The final boss is a bit ridiculous (wait for it - he's invisible) and can only be beaten by guessing blindly in a very large room. I gave up at this point. The game does try to make an attempt to introduce variety into some of the levels, but there is a tedious aspect to the game that needed to be enhanced (e.g., with spells or weapons or some sort of upgrade system). Engaging for a few hours, but that's about it.

Some kids review. This is a really creative and fun game. I find it very unique and reminds me of my childhood roaming though dungeons in Pokemon.

Challenging and fun, but monetization is tedious. I think this is a fun, challenging game, but I don't enjoy how upgrades require even more money to immediately unlock (especially with how gold is hard to come by in the beginning). Into The Win!. This game is a winner! Simple, easy on the eyes, a little slow - but great for casual gameplay. A basic rogue like with an endearing, but dark and compelling little storyline. Options to remove ads are presented - nothing too in your face. Well-rounded gold sink system to upgrade your character. Challenging, but in all the right ways. Well done!

Great game. I like turn based games, and this is one of my favourites. The art style is fun as well, looks like a gameboy. I think there should probably be instructions because it is hard to understand at first, you start with three lives which is how many hits you take, you have three moves (walking, punches, shots) and after you move three times(or more if you upgrade them) then the enemies will move (skeleton 3 times, bat 5, spider 3, huge yeti thing 4 times) so keep your distance. Level 16 (the last one) seems impossible to me though, it is different from the rest of the game and I can't seem to do anything, I don't even know how many times I have to hit him.

Ok. I really like the idea of three turn based gameplay but why do you need to pay to refill your hearts when you die. That is a really dumb idea and I think if you change it many more people will like this game.

Great tactical and clever game. Requires just the right amount of forethought to solve the levels and puzzles without dying too quickly. Levels could certainly be harder and you don’t lose coins for dying but still a fun game! Worth it, and lovely graphics.

An actual pay to win game. once you die you respond with one heart then you actually have to buy more hearts or you have to watch video to response I the level to continue
