NEW WARNING!!! on late 2018 update. 2019: Fix has arrived!!!!. So. I have an iPad4. Until the recent update, I had no problems with the game's functionality. Now? The poor frame rate during combat reduces the game quality to unplayable. My rating goes from 5 stars to 1 star and stays there until a fix can be introduced. I see no graphical improvements in the game that would now render my iPad4 hardware obsolete! The April 2019 update has fixed the fire barrel animation problem. With other game additions, my rating goes back to five stars. Storyline, puzzles, battles, and the RPG element will keep you entertained for hours. AND the game has a high replay value. Well worth the cost!!

Great Story, Gameplay, and Customization. It’s an incredible game with a story I am now captured by. At the beginning I thought there was a weird disconnect between the somewhat cheesy dialogue (saying ‘fleck’ for example) and the serious nature of the story (mass genocide). However over time, not sure if I just got used to it, but this issue seemed to go away and now I wish I paid more attention to the story early game and had read all of the optional dialogues. One issue I found to be significant was the difficulty, and I wish they added a third, more difficult option above Veteran. For most of the game, in between the very beginning and the very end, the game was just too easy. At many points it just didn’t feel very engaging, and I think there’s an excitement to just barely making it that I was rarely able to feel. All things considered, there is a significant amount of high quality content, the story is great, the gameplay is both novel and enjoyable, and the customization for your characters is complex, well thought-out, and interesting. It is underpriced for all of the content it provides. Would highly recommend

One of my Favorites. I love this game. The mechanics are creative, combining TRPG with a sort of puzzle grid. I was worried looking at screenshots that it would be a match-3 type thing, but it’s not. You can run along a line of same-colored tiles to charge your skill gauges & your basic attack. I adds another layer when you’re deciding how to move & position. I love is the sub goals on each mission. I’m a completionist about doing them all and I add challenge by trying to do them all in one run. I do have to say I’ve hit one glitch, in the final chapter. The menus say that there is still yellow nitrium to collect in one level, but there isn’t. That’s the only technical issue I’ve had, though, and it’s very minor.

Goes from great game to time waster within seconds. I really enjoyed the games start, but after a while the games strategy turns into "Wait till we don't give you a bad board". Some maps just have too many enemies and coupled with the RNG board it's basically just a very low % of chance to win, no matter how you play. You have to travel the board to get attack power, but usually you can't do anything with it because getting hit removes that damage, and you will get hit, just sometimes more then other times, therefore turns have a high chance to just be a complete waste. Needs more game, less RNG

Unique mechanics, great story. This is a really well written sci fi game with very unique rpg/strategy hybrid mechanics. There have been 3 chapters out so far and they just keep getting better. The difficulty is tuned a bit easy but it’s still fun to play. I honestly have no idea why the chapters are all free, I would be happy to pay a couple bucks IAP to unlock a chapter, they each have more than enough content to justify it. I’d honestly prefer to do that if it meant more games in this world. Really odd decision by the developer... and they spend time developing augmented reality for the game which is wasted and useless. It adds nothing to the game

From 0 to 60. Is how hard the difficulty went up after the tutorial. I liked the concept and the initial gameplay, but having the enemies move the same way your character does kills it for me. Any path you could take is essentially used up by a bot, and before you know it you’re cornered or just lost the heart you really needed. It didn’t matter if I ran across to the other side of the map, the enemies still manage to surround you, and steal your drops. I mean it’s 1 against 3 to 5 at a time. The paths always seemed to form for the bots whereas they rarely seemed to form for my character. Beautiful game, but I kinda wish I could get my money back.

One of the best. This is one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played. I am sorry to see it end. There is a good storyline, nice graphics and unique game play. I hope they do more like it. I thought level 4 could have been a bit harder, but I am am going to replay the game at the difficult level.

A pleasant surprise. tl;dr: a great story driven rpg puzzler in the vein of puzzle quest, but with completely original mechanics. Absolutely worth the price tag. I’ve seen this game many times while looking through puzzle and rpg game App Store subpages, but for some reason never went for it until today. I wish I had bought it sooner! It is super fun, the main reason I didn’t jump for it originally was because I thought it was more of an arcade rpg puzzler in the vein of YMBAB but this is a much more full fledged rpg than I was expecting. It’s much more like the puzzle quest series with a nice storyline and lots to do. Optional quest lines, talent trees, and equipment help keep strategy varied, but still fun. The zero day group antagonists are fun and way more evil than like expected, and a silly take on an anonymous hacker org. I don’t think they understand how binary works though. Definitely worth buying, excited to see what else these devs put out.

Wow, this is a very special game. Just beat episode 4 and I want more, this game is such a joy to play. The Battle System is just stellar and unique. Battles become really fun once you have unlocked the purchase of battle powers, the purchase of weapons, allocating tokens in the skill tree and my favorite thing, making gems with nitrium shards. When you make it midway through episode 3, if I remember correctly that’s when you are able to dismantle your gems to make better ones, that’s the best. The Story is good, I felt that the story flowed effortlessly, I didn’t feel jerked around, the characters were introduced at a steady pace and you get to know them before the next one is introduced and this steady flow continues until the end of the game. The Characters are so unique, they have great personalities and I loved the super aspects. I liked this game so much, I hope there is a part 2 or I hope the Developers make a different game in the future.

Interesting Gameplay. Been enjoying this game a great deal. Downside- binge playing through each mission far too quickly but is a testament to how interesting I find this game. First episode introduced the world and combat mechanics. But the second has added further RPG elements through weapon augmentation. Small gripe and possible future gameplay change- nitrium crystals. I made the naive mistake of making too many of the first gem. Unlike Diablo, the gems do not make better gems when you combine them. The crystals are one use only. It'd be great if you could dissemble crafted gems, at an understandable loss, or somehow use there equivalent crystal value towards crafting other gems.

Challenging but fun game. This is really more like a strategy game. You can’t just randomly move your characters around the field or it will be hard to beat. You have to plan ahead, play to the characters strengths and weaknesses and focus on the missions. I’ve completely beat all of Episode 1 and 2 and I can’t wait for Episode 3!

Perfect. This game is fantastic. One note: I think this version has a bug. When Rose powers up to receive an extra action from collecting heart tiles - she’s no longer actually receiving the extra action. Eta in response to developer note: yep, that’s exactly the power I mean. The heart lights up, becomes activated, and then the third action still doesn’t happen. It’s only since the most recent update.

Too unbalanced. I wanted to enjoy this game. It has a captivating story and interesting battle mechanics. But the difficulty level is frankly unbalanced. In chapter two you can use a ranged character. Problem is, the level spawns with 4 simultaneous enemies leaving you nowhere to hide and attack from range. And they get to move first, meaning even before I make my first move I’ve already lost 20% of my health. I don’t mind a challenge, but this is ridiculous!

A masterpiece. From the beginning of episode 1, the designers of Ticket to Earth transport you to another world and never let you down. This is simply one of the greatest games I have played in 35 years of gaming. It deserves far more acclaim than it has received. I personally want to thank the designers and developers of this game for creating a masterpiece. Thank you!

Pretty much hits every mark. During the first chapter I wasn’t quite sure of where things were headed, but by the fourth chapter I’m pretty sure I caught myself saying “this game is so good” about 10 times. The gameplay is really good, the story driving and interesting, the characters all extremely enjoyable, and the skips are just a bunch of fun (plus they unlock at a really nice pace). A lot of thought went in to this game and it shows. Cannot recommend this game enough.

Incredible Game. This game is a hidden gem which should be in the top of everyone’s list. With the third chapter just released, this game is at least ten hours and up to fifteen if you want to complete a lot of the optional missions. The story is deep, engaging, with a number of plot twists. Minor items in the first chapter foreshadow major plot twists later. The storyline is mature and edgy and keeps you engaged in the plights of the characters though definitely targeted for adults As for the gameplay, it is a great mix of strategy and rpg elements. The grid idea is very unique and engaging (though the vr element was probably unnecessary) and can make the same mission play differently each time. The gameplay is tough to describe, almost like a mix of final fantasy tactics and maybe a board game or match game. All in all a clear five star game. Can’t wait for the last chapter.

Delivers Everything It Promises. Excellent combination of strategy and puzzle solving. Story slowly but steadily draws you in. Nice background music. Stable, no crashes. No ads or in App purchases. And, no internet connection required. All in all , a refreshing change from the freemium model of most games nowadays. I would gladly pay for additional levels or a sequel.

Stellar game all around. This game’s a lot of fun and very well made. It feels much more like a self-contained console game than most mobile-only games I’ve played, which is such a nice change I’m always on the lookout for. If you’re browsing for something new to play like I do from time to time, grab this one. It’s worth it :)

Good but need some changes. Everything about the game so far is stellar job!! Good mix of puzzle and turn based RPG with pretty decent storyline for a mobile platform.. BUT: Some key things your missing to streamline the play process before and after the chapters are done. 1: need a 3rd button other then"not yet" and "start" on the screen when you go in to replay previous missions for talent coins and shard farming runs. One that takes you to the justice power screen, so you can spec your character depending on how the mobs affinity are going to be towards for that individual match. 2. Cost of gems.. and the farm that followed to get them..way to huge of a farm needed to make any of the tier 3 or 2 gems.. really just to make even one per character it would take like 35-40 reruns to get it done.. And that is on top of the initial beating the level. 3. Chapters are far too short IMO. They are great little chapters , note the bulk of the game currently is geared towards talent point farming and clearing up periods when you missed a couple talented points rewarded here and there.. should be more back in line with the single player story not the guessing and grind to follow for the next chapter in anticipation. But all in all. Good solid outing in your first go as a company. Keep up the good work.

Great hybrid. Excellent mashup of turn-based strategy with path matching. Fun characters and plenty of new abilities to unlock. I am digging it thus far Update: Taking off two stars - one because sometimes the random tile layout can make a scenario stupidly difficult. MORE importantly is that, after two chapters, this game is HUUUUGE. It takes up well over a gig on my ipad. Despite enjoying the story, I might have to uninstalll simply to get back the storage space

Love everything about this game except that it’s over. Fantastic game, one of my entries on a very short list of “must install” apps. I just wish it didn’t have an endpoint after you’ve completed the story. If completing the story unlocked an “endless play” mode of some sort, I’d still be playing the game daily (how far can you go before all your team falls? That sort of thing). As noted in another review, a difficulty level higher than Veteran would add incentive to replay as well. But seriously: give this game an endless play mode!

Fantastic puzzle/rpg with great story and characters. Yes, it's a "match" game. Wait! It's all about movement. It's a grid of 4 different "elements", and then you connect them in a chain to boost your attack, move your character around the map, gain powers, etc. But honestly, it's more than the sum. There's some solid writing, some great characters, honestly very good storytelling, neat abilities, clever ways to solve levels, and that's before I mention each character has their own abilities and skill tree. It's long, the design values and art are crazy good, and it's fun. Definitely worth it!

Refreshing game play in a desert of P2W auto battlers. I've been scouring the app store for a game that didn't require me pay tons of cash to win/reach end game or for me to press a button and watch it play itself. This game combines strategy, tactics, and role playing aspects all rollled into a pretty dark story. Combat is fluid, graphics are on par, and a one time fee for all 4 episodes (3&4 are pending release) is a five star experience in my book. If you're looking for a break from all the p2w grinding garbage that litters the app store, look no further. Well worth the $5 price tag. 10/10 would download again.

Needs a few tweaks. Really cool game, but needs some balancing. Losing HP and attack power when you get attacked is brutal. If you ever get surrounded by enemies in a corner you will lose. There is no counter except for Justice attacks. Picking up hearts coins and justice tokens almost never happens. You tend to start a turn with no attack value (because attacks from opponents will reduce your attack). So you have to move to increase attack value. Then maybe you can attack and defeat an enemy. Then they drop something. Then the other opponents move next to you and pick up the items that were dropped. Containers have too many hit points. It’s stupid that they would have as many hit points as the enemies. Winning a battle has a lot of luck involved. Paths are randomly generated. If you have good paths you have an advantage.

Yeeeeeeeeeessss!!!. This game is fantastic, it has a great style, gameplay is original and challenging and I think the developers deserve every penny for this great game. At first, I was disappointed that the entire game wasn’t available to play right away, but now it’s like having a random birthday every once and a while when the new episode comes out. I can jump right back in and pick up as though I was just playing yesterday. I don’t want this game to end!!

Great Puzzle RPG!. Great epic story with lots of cool world-building! I love puzzle rpgs, and this game is unique in its rules and yet easy to learn. I love all the characters and I got plenty of hours playing through this game. I bought it when it first came out, revisiting it as the chapter unlocked. I’ve enjoyed the experience! I hope to see more games out of this developer! :-)

Perfect. This game is perfect. It’s great for 5 minutes and great for 2 hours. The story has kept me enthralled since I started chapter 1 all that time ago. I have not cared as much about the characters in a game probably ever. I was so happy to see the epilogue give these characters the ending that they fought for. I am sad to see this story end. If you make a sequel I will be first in line. Thanks for a great story and a wonderful game

Fantastic game. Great value! Please support games without in app purchases like this one!. Amazing game. Totally sucked me in. Good tactics, great story, engaging engine and play style. When it I see a great game like this it reminds me just how awful and predatory to games completely designed around in app purchases are. It’s like psychological warfare on us trying to get us to buy their crap. This game is a fair price for a great game. Couldn’t recommend higher.

Solid game flawed only by the fact that is is not complete. Devs...please publish a possible schedule for when chapters 2-4 will be released. Also, please update to make areas replayable for a reason, money, tokens etc. fix those two areas and you have a five star game as the concept and mechanics are great. But it's now sitting on the shelf waiting for installment number 2 with no reason or motivation to play it more. UPDATE: More than 1 year after its release and episode 3 has not been released yet. Could be a 5 star game and I hope some developer comes along and takes the tile concept and delivers a complete game. Great idea. Great execution. Terrible follow thru and customer experience.

Perfect turn based handheld strategy game. The game is put together in well balanced way. It has the comics like appearance, some rpg and character development, somewhat challenging tactical battles, a little bit of luck, and a good story. It doesn’t drain the battery, starts quick and stores the game state when sent to the background. Perfect for short escapes from the daily life. Apart from the good quality game and software this game does not show ads, does not use gems, bucks, coins or other annoying currencies to progress. No in- app purchases. You buy the game and play it. No hassles. More than anything I was longing for this honest experience of the past. Thank you.

Still flecking going!. It’s crazy how this games keeps coming up in my “go to” stash for something quick and fun to play. I suspect I’ve been through it 15+ times now, but it’s still a great game at its core. Quirky dialogue and story which is actually a very good part of the game, but the battle/matrix part of it is what keeps me coming back. I’ll sometimes play through and ensure I get ALL the nitrium, or maybe I’ll play with zero weapon upgrades... but the basics of this game keep it fun. Of all the smaller app type games I’ve purchased, this one is a far favorite.

Can’t stop playing!. I was looking for a game that gave a similar mix to X-Com or Shining Force in terms of grid based, turn based combat with a storyline and some RPG character options. Something that doesn’t take a huge investment but has some story depth too. This nailed it,such a fun game to play.

The final mission (defeat SIX) for episode 2 is way too hard!!!. Comments after 2.0.2: It seems the difficulty has been rebalanced, and I was able to finish episode 2. It's a great game and I enjoyed the story line. Looking forward to next episode. --------------------------------------------------------------- Comments after recent update: The mission to defeat SIX is still too hard for me! This game suppose to be mid-difficulty not difficult like a hell!! Like I said before SIX can heal himself and this is ridiculous!! I almost beat him but he keeps healing himself....and there are 4 other mutants that keep consuming my character's health...how am I suppose to win...please fix the difficulty for this level... --------------------------------------------------------------- Like others said the new update for episode 2 makes other missions pretty easy. (Compare to previous episode 1) HOWEVER!! The final mission for episode 2 is too hard!! Not sure whether it's the last mission, because I was stuck!! Six-the boss can heal himself!! And every time I almost beat him to zero health he regenerate the health!! And that SIX can attack you twice with massive damage!!It's totally impossible to win!!! Please scale the difficulty level for that mission. I also think there should be some choices for choosing the difficulty....the difficulty of the level should be more balanced. That mission to defeat SIX is too hard while other missions are much easier than it should be.....

Fun and no in-app purchases. It’s hard to find a game that is challenging enough to hold attention AND doesn’t try to take over my life with required daily play for upgrades AND doesn’t require endless in-app purchase in order to advance. Looking forward to Chapter 3.

This is a 5 all the way. For a mobil game app, where there is no charge for each chapter, with unique battle mechanics, an interesting story line, a linear RPG aspect, A Responsive Developer (!!! from what I’m reading in the other reviews), this is as good as it gets. My only question is...Where are your other games? I am interested in trying something else you guys have done.

Wow. Ok, I totally get the people rating this game low for its difficulty, and I agree. If you are wanting a quick game in which you want to advance quickly in the storyline, this game is not necessarily the right choice. However, in every other aspect, this game is GREAT! Combat mechanics are creative and fun, has an incredible story, and character upgrades (through combat powers and such) are balanced. A really great game, but most the levels will take a few tries. My one request is that the developers lower the speed of the other units, cause even in episode one it’s way to easy to get cornered and killed quickly.

Simply the Best. There is no better game out there for phone or tablet. TTE is far and away the best, most well-written, and quite frankly the longest game I ever played. This dev team should be given the highest awards and accolades for their storytelling and character development. The game keeps going on and on, and can be relied upon to keep the gamer fully engaged, with humor, drama, and love. I don’t know how many hours I spent getting through it, but it has been well with it!

Excellence. This game really scratched my fire emblem itch. The turn based rpg battle system is fantastic. I had a lot of fun playing this game, I could hardly put it down. The worst thing about this game is that there isn’t a sequel yet! I would highly recommend this game to everyone, worth every penny.

Love this game... but no save feature. I have to delete and reinstall games sometimes in order to free up room on my 16gb phone. Most games autosave so that I can play them again from where I left off but this game does not. I would love this feature — it would also help me sync across devices! Thanks.

Excellent story, great characters. I really loved the narrative in this game. The characters and story are fantastic. They built a great world. At the end, I was hoping for a little more backstory on each of them, especially the relationship between Wolf and Malady, but it was still compelling. Reads like a graphic novel. The stakes keep getting higher in a great way (which is impressive when you start out with the murder of an entire city, lol). The gameplay itself is alright, it’s mostly the same thing every time with little tactical differences, but I found it somewhat meditative and fun. The music is good too, although wish there was some more diversity. A note to the devs, there are lots of typos in the one level in chapter 4 when they’re in the engine room.

I raise my glass to you. I have followed this journey since the release of the first chapter, and now the finale is here! It has been a treat to see the conclusion to this story; the setting was great, the characters fantastic. Gameplay starts off simply and slowly builds. You need to be mindful of the order you take actions or move. Each character has a unique skill set that expands as the game progresses, and there are unique arenas and challenges to be had from chapter to chapter. However, writing just another “review” is not what I wanted to do here. With the games final act finally here and having just finished this story, I felt compelled to say to the developers: Thank you

Awesome strategy game!. It took me a little bit to get the hang of the combat system but now I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter. One tip for new players, don't stress about getting all the tokens at first. Going back and replaying old missions after you've upgrade powers and weapons will allow you to complete tasks that seemed impossible.

Can't wait for more. Read about this game on kotaku. Really like it. My only gripes are that chapter 3 isn't out yet. That, and the fact that credits collected in battle are only worth 1 credit each. I say this is a gripe because now that I've finished with chapter one. If I want to buy un-bought skills (some of which cost 1650) I either have to play missions hundreds of times (2-10 coins drop in missions) or wait for chapter two. If coin value were raised I would feel like this would be a more attainable. ... That or maybe a survival mode with which to earn more credits which would be unlocked after chapter one completion.

Fun...but frustrating. The campy storyline is fun, the game play is great, very entertaining overall. However, there is no good way to earn enough coins. I get that we will not fill out the stat trees until Episode 4 is complete. However, being stuck with wasted coins on mid-level weapons is aggravating when you have all sorts of missing skills having to spread meager coins across 3 PKs. Boost the coin payout on replay levels and cap the total coins you can save up to avoid massive bankrolling before Episode 3. That will give a boost to playability while waiting for the next episode.

MOST FUN. I love the game the difficulty irks me at times but I got through it. however is there any date on when the next chapter comes out?? No seriously, it’s been a while, an update would be appreciated by us fans on how the final (I think) chapter is coming along.

Amazing game!!. This game has been my favorite iPhone game. Wish they had more like it. Very original gameplay. Replay is fun too. I love trying to charge up my power to the max for a strike. Update: episode 4 was terrible, they put very little effort into the story for the last installment, I deleted the game after episode 4, that’s how disappointed I was.

Winning concept!. I love it when game designers step outside of the mold! This game is satisfaction on many levels: creative gameplay, good story telling, and somewhat in-depth character development, simple but well executed graphics... Sure there’s more that could’ve been done to improve the cut scenes (animation, voice overs...) but would’ve taken more time and more space... all in all a terrific game, well thought out and can be enjoyed by fans of multiple gaming genres. Nice Job!

Great Game but limited content. I loved playing this game as it had both challenging gameplay and a very engaging and substantial story. I know making a good game takes time but episode 3 has been “coming soon!” for a year. There are a few things to do once you play through the main story, but not much. It would nice to at least have an idea of when the next episode will be live. A little frustrating.

Unique gameplay...I love it!. This is a very impressive game, combining RPG and puzzle together. I was very addicted to it! That being said, there is one major problem I want to point out. The justice power system is totally broken. It is too powerful yet acquiring it is more of a grinding exercise - it requires players to go back to easy stages to collect sweet justice tokens rather than coming up with a proper strategy. I would suggest make the justice power easier to acquire but it has to be in that stage only - so the players will have to strategize using combat abilities and movements.

Magnificent. Truly an engrossing game. Deep strategy, but the story is incredibly well-crafted and really adds a sense of investment in the characters. For instance, in some games even though I could beat the level if a played had reached zero health, I’d quit before beating it just because I didn’t want that character to die. And the gameplay is fantastic enough to warrant playing after I beat it. Very well done, and I truly hope you keep making games and possibly a sequel!

Great Aussie tactics game. This is a first-rate turn-based tactics game with excellent craftsmanship and quality throughout. The mechanics are somewhat abstract and board-gamey, but those elements are incorporated into the setting with clever world-building. The RPG-style progression keeps things fresh and gives you a sense of continuity and advancement through the various scenarios. The game is clearly incomplete, with more content "coming soon", but the content available now still represents great value for money. No in-app purchases! A superb game.

What a ripper of a game!. Hanging out for the rest of it... constantly refreshing the App Store.. c’mon!

Awesome!. Great game with different take on combat which is continually engaging. The story is also detailed and interesting.

This is a brilliant game. Get it now!. I have finally played all the way through this game & found the gameplay challenging, the options flexible & the storyline compelling. Cannot wait for a sequel.

Addictive in all the right ways. Love it, great mix of RPG and Tactical game play. A random level generator would be appreciated so I've got more to do while waiting for epiosde 2. And love the AI side story.

Great gameplay and story, but short. I really enjoyed this mashup. Story is intriguing, it is very stable and the gameplay is slick. That said, I felt it was very short for the money. I also find the vague "coming soon" on the remaining four chapters frustrating. Things move too fast these days to stagger releases. I suspect I will have lost interest by the time the rest are available.

So fun!. This game is great! The writing is actually complex and gets a deep story across in it's little cartoon snippets. Lots of replay-ability to get those perfect scores on the missions too.

Great Game. I’m really enjoying this game. The grid idea is challenging, the character progression far and the graphics fun.

Highly recommended. Surprisingly deep tactics for an ostensibly simple premise and an interesting world that is a great example of 'show don't tell' writing. Also damed addictive! Definitely pick this one up.

Amazing developers. Free large content added, constant support from the devs! This is awesome, thank you.

Happy to pay more. Simple, beautiful and fun. Would be very happy to pay a extra if it means we could get future episodes quicker.

Great fun game. Refreshing to have a great and fun game that does not need countless in-app purchases to advance or play the game. I got to the end and wanted more ...

Fantastic. Much love to these guys for making such a fun game, cheers.

Fantastic Aussie Game. Excellent game. No IAP. All four chapters had something different. Highly recommended

Outstanding!. This is the best iPhone game I’ve played in a long time. They’ve taken a simple mechanic, connecting coloured tiles, and made a very strategic game around it. On top of that, the story and RPG elements keep you invested in the world. It’s games like this that make you realise that free-to-play stuff is rubbish by comparison.

Great story and genre bending style. I really love the fusion of turn-based strategy and puzzle elements, and the way that's part of the narrative. The characters are well-drawn and the story has weight and drive, the dialogue is punchy and the art and sound are wonderful. I'm loving everything about Ticket to Earth!

Not fun.. I did not enjoy this game. Since it's expensive it gets one star.

Best game I’ve played on iOS. I’ve never been so glued to a mobile game in my life. Great story, visuals are sweet. The combat is beyond anything I thought I’d ever get from a mobile strategy RPG. High replayability and bargain price. I’m stoked.

Simply brilliant. Innovative gameplay, brilliant art and a cracking Sci-Fi plot make this the game I've been waiting for. Easy to learn and hard to master tactics/puzzle combat provides the perfect counterpoint to a cool and witty sci-fi story that creates a really tangible and deep setting. I haven't finished it yet but I'll be sad when it's over because this is the most fun/unique tactics RPG I've played in a very long time.

Beautiful & addicting. Absolutely stunning graphics. Gameplay is super easy to learn but tricky to master & use to your best advantage - the perfect combination of ease/difficulty. Intriguing storyline & great replayability. Current version seems to have issue with saving progress made on replayed missions. Other than that it's great.

Very good. This game is very fun and amazing, all though it’s not been updated for a LONG time. I suppose this is the end for the game, but PLEASE DO A SECOND GAME.

Lots of fun. Great game. Picked it up after trying at PAXAUS. It could only be made better if the drops from the final kill were auto collected (doesn’t seem to do that at the moment) 👍🏼

Excellent-- please sir, can we have some more?. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this puzzle tactics/ turn-based combat, RPG mashup. The graphics are comic-style sweet, the boards always interesting to get that special combo and a skill tree that can be progressed for each character in a different way. Although it's possible (encouraged) to replay boards, its not currently achievable to unlock all the weapons or progress very far with the nitrium gem combinations as the game is unfinished-- only two chapters are currently available. The story is interesting even if a little predictable in how it's going to progress. Overall it's a refreshing and delightful little game that has also been ported over to Steam for PC play. Dev's have been promising more chapters for a while now, but no firm dates have been floated. So happy to find a great gem of a game with absolutely no micro-transactions, pay-to-win, or annoying ads. Thank you, Robot Circus.

Nice twist on puzzle genre. Really enjoyable game, although the first bit of content is a bit on the short side, particularly if you want to get the money to unlock all the skills. The matching puzzle genre is a bit long in the tooth, but this is different enough to make it enjoyable again. Now that the story is finished, this has been a really satisfying game from beginning to end. Do yourself a favour and play it.

Addictive gameplay, funky soundtrack and stylish graphics!. The puzzle based combat is awesome fun and addictive and the variety of enemies, unlockable abilities and bonus objectives makes for really satisfying and strategic gameplay. Each level is a good length for casual pick up and play and the sci-fi story (told via comic book style panels) is engaging, funny and well written.

Made in Melbourne. This game is just brilliant - from content to tone. The characters are incredibly well written & have personality in spades. Ticket To Earth looks & plays wonderfully. It is easily one of my fave games.

Excellent game, but.... There is always a “but” for an excellent game, but this one is not too bad. Just hope they could have the new episodes released sooner. It’s been almost two years, yet the main story is still incomplete, (though I enjoyed it so much so far). I’d love to pay some extra, if they do find funding a bit difficult.

Obsession = Love. I love this game. It has taken over my life. I think about it day and night. I even see the grid when I close my eyes. It's almost like I can see the threads that hold this world together... I know this game just came out yesterday, but I feel like it's been a part of me for a long time. I wholeheartedly recommend you buy this game and experience this obsession for yourself.

When's the next episodes coming?. That was great! I really enjoyed it!! I want more, when's the rest coming? So many more talents in the trees awaiting unlocking...

Engaging story, fantastic gameplay!. Thanks for releasing episode 2 so soon. Extremely likeable characters, great setting, innovative and challenging gameplay. Well worth the asking price. Looking forward to completing the game. Keep up the good work!

Good but short. Finished it way to quick, re-did heaps of episodes to max out my chars, and then.... Waited. No episode 2 means the high of this game has worn off. Suggest waiting for more episodes to be released before you start.

Highly recommended. Such a great quality game. Beautiful graphics and addictive gameplay. And the best part is that there are no in app purchases. Worth the money

Nice genre mash-up. A well executed game combining the best elements of turn based strategy tile games, with a Borderlands feel to the dialogue. I was doubtful about the lack of an XP system but the money-only approach here still works well as it is balanced, plus the absence of IAP is always a winner!!

Great tactical game. If you enjoy turn based tactical games you will love this game despite the cartoony characters and the 'angry' expressions so common these days. Nevertheless, still a very challenging game 10/10.

Brilliant. So happy to have stumbled upon this great find. Intriguing story arc, compelling character development, gorgeous visual design and faultless app performance over many weeks of sustained daily game play. Deeply absorbing and thoroughly enjoyable!

When can we get the next episode??. And will you please take my money for it and not release it for free? This game is so good in so many ways. I'm surprised I never heard of it til it launched. Bring on part 2!!

High-quality, worth the spend.. Top-notch music, graphics, mechanics, and story. A strategy/puzzler that I can't fault. Well worth paying a premium to avoid all the garbage microtransaction mechanics that plague other mobile titles. Frankly, I'd buy this on Steam, too.

Great story, fun combat, beautiful art!. Ticket To Earth is a fantastic sci-fi comic book with awesome tactical combat missions that are the perfect length for pick-up play. The characters are strong, funny and always well-written, and the graphics are excellent. Just a great game - can't wait for episode 2!

LOVING IT!!. Absolutely amazing rpg/puzzle game! Graphics are wonderfully quirky, gameplay is smooth and easy to learn. Plenty of character upgrade options without being overwhelming.

Thoughtfully constructed. Challenging at first yes, but by the end of the first chapter you've adapted. Great visuals, engrossing plot (with the right thematic undertones), and a really cool core mechanic. Also, the idea is that you have to go back and replay rounds, so dont worry.

I'm immediately hooked. I don't enjoy many games, but this is great! I love sci fi, I like puzzles, I like stories, and it's all here! And I love the graphics. (Please fix app crash after phone locks then unlocks)

Well designed and fun. Just a well designed game.

This game rocks!. Worth every cent. Engaging. Fun. Satisfying. Great plot. Exceeded my expectations. Please make more!

Fantastic game: Great writing, great characters, great gameplay. Ticket to Earth is a very nice game. Character designs are engrossing, along with a well written script that is smoothly paced with great dialogues. Once the action starts it basically doesn’t stop. It will get you hooked till you finish, leaving you hungry for more. Game is also well supported by developers, with bigger and better promised episodes being released as time goes. If there are any complaints is that it is a little on the easy side when it comes to strategy games, but overall am super happy with the purchase. Patiently now waiting for Episode 4 :)

Fun and interesting little game. This app certainly has a lot of the great qualities of a good RPG tactics game: strategy and puzzle solving, engrossing characters that you can develop and upgrade, good storyline and beautiful illustration. The app loses a star for the grinding that’s necessary to get the better items/upgrades. Such a waste of time playing the same maps again and again to earn credits/shards. I understand maps have replay value if you want to beat your high score, but this is basically just mining gold.

Absorbing gameplay meets engaging stoytelling. A rare game for a casual gamer like me where I got lost in the cleverly crafted fighting system and was engaged enough in the story to be genuinely curious about what would happen next. Addictive but also perfect for short bursts of play.

Great but Short. Fantastic game. Great storyline. Unique combat system, that works very well. Graphics are top notch, as is sound and music. Only criticism is it is very short, requiring new episodes to be released to continue the story.

Funny, Smart and Exciting. Quality game with a surprising level of depth. Everything in the game is done really well- graphics, gameplay, dialogue are all top-notch. Looking forward to more

Such a fantastic game. After playing the first few levels I'm now hooked. The story is so interesting and I wait to see what will unfold. The artwork is beautiful and the gameplay is brilliant.

Awesome game. Perfect difficulty; easy to learn, but quickly becomes challenging enough without putting you off. Hanging out for the next chapter.

Great game. A very strong strategy game. It's sleek and has a fun Saturday morning cartoon feel, yet the storyline is pretty dark. I liked the character development. I rated 5 because I want this game to do well but some annoyances: by only releasing one chapter so far it's disappointing I can't explore the skill tree in a meaningful way. Farming the skill tree is also very difficult. I hope chapters release quickly otherwise the whole experience feels disjointed. Good luck robot circus

Pay once quality game !. It’s cheap for such a quality game, it’s hard enough without getting frustrating, I really enjoy it. It’s such a pleasure to find such a gem in the middle of the App Store full of gem base game and such. I hope the devs keep on making more amazing game like this, seriously, thank you !

Fantastic!. I am always apprehensive when I am to purchase a game, but in this case I am glad I did. Graphics are smooth and crisp. Very deep story line, amazing characters and effortless gameplay. Highly recommend.

Great game, chapter 3?. Great game but when is more content coming? Has this project been abandoned?

Eh. I didn’t know I was buying an incomplete game. Kept me occupied when I didn’t have wifi but there could seriously be some big balance changes in a few things.

Great but difficult. I really enjoyed this game up to the mid part (Wolf). Now I can't seem to beat his level.

Very fun. Great game very addictive

Great story and gameplay. Best mobile game I’ve ever played. Review is for the full game (all episodes). Amazing storyline and characters—engaging action plotline combined with memorable, fleshed-out characters with mysterious pasts, with subtle hints throughout the game that lead to surprising reveals that feel actually significant and never cheap. The characters all have relationships with each other that feel authentic, and real understandable motives, including the villains. Political storytelling in the best way (as in, interesting critiques of corporate greed, political and institutional corruption, and even some hints of law enforcement critiques in there.) Good LGBTQ and POC representation (confirmed gay characters, not just “gal pals” lol) Gameplay is also super fun. Not difficult, just challenging enough (and there is an easy mode too). You can choose not to use weapon enhancements if you want it to be more challenging. Another reviewer said enemies don’t follow rules, but that’s not true, every enemy type has its own rules, you just have to observe and learn them. A good variety of enemies, weapons and weapon enhancements, active and passive skills. But not so much that it felt overwhelming for a mobile game. One downside is that it gets a bit grindy in the middle, especially if you replay levels to get more gems (ie, weapon enhancements). I think nothing would’ve been lost if they cut 10-15 levels (out of a total of maybe ~100 levels?) Overall about ~20-30 hours of gameplay.

Great tactical gameplay!. Really enjoying this game, turn based tactical with the RPG elements. Looks fantastic and great to pickup and play in long or short bursts. My only wish is the cloud syncing to be smoother. What would be great is able to pause the game on one device and resume on another. Having to manually update iCloud save is a bit of a hassle to remember. I'm sure this is already on the to-do list! Looking forward to the future updates and I'm not even fully through the first episode. This will be my go to game for quite a while!

Amazing TBS game. Very well done game, works amazingly well on iPad. Well worth 10-20$ Combat 9/10 Story 7/10 Replay ability 8/10 Graphics 9/10 Sound 8/10

High quality game. 5 star game. Good storyline, unique characters and game system.

Well built game. A great example of a simple concept executed brilliantly, fun combat system, really enjoying the game

Amazing!. Very solid game with an engaging storyline and challenging gameplay. Can't wait for the next episode to come out!!!

Unique mechanics. A lovely turn based strategy game with great gameplay. Desperately waiting for Chapter 2

Outstanding Story and Gameplay. I was looking for a non-free to play RPG that I could really think my teeth into. This game delivered in spades. Truly a fabulous game. The story is presented simply, talking heads and minimalist art panels, but the writing is fantastic. Excellent characters with strong motivation and character arcs. As good as the story is though, the gameplay is the real hook. It has the addictive simplicity of a match-tile game, coupled with strong RPG character development mechanics. You will be compelled to replay missions not for three stars or some arbitrary score, but to get tokens that directly improve your character stats and combat capabilities. It was a very satisfying loop. I think I rolled credits after about 25 hours of gameplay or somewhere in that neighborhood. I would gladly play more games like this from this developer, though I think they mostly specialize in edutainment. Thank you Robot Circus for an excellent gaming experience.

Absolutely Wonderful. This game was worth the price. It has a compelling story and a great game style. I tore through levels just to see more of the story. Thank you for this beautiful game.

Nice. Nice game, but it takes quite a bit of time to wait for the next chapter:(

Fantastic from beginning to end.. Please release more, Robot Circus!

So fun, very satisfying!. This game looks great, plays great, & is just a lot of fun. The original take on mixing turn-based strategy RPG with a movement based puzzle type of gameplay feels really cool, kept me engaged and just left me smiling & satisfied with the experience. Additional episodes are available, for no extra charge, when they are released, so that's great. I want more RIGHT NOW though! So, I guess the only problem is... now I have to wait for the next episode! I'm ready for more. A well produced, quality title, especially on a mobile platform. Get this game and support this great developer who wants to provide you with a quality game experience, instead of just trying to drill a hole in your wallet. :)

Very gay (in a good way of course). This game is very gay. I highly doubt that there’s any confirmed/canon lgbtq characters but the subtle vibe is present. The main character, Rose is a hunky hunky poc dystopian woman who dreams of touring outer space with her gal pal “just friend”. The Martian Princess is mentioned a lot and I can’t wait to see her make a first appearance (I just started the game- still in the beginning.) This game is addicting!!! It can play without wifi so I’m planning on playing it while on the 10+ hour long drive for my summer vacation. The story is wonderfully written and intriguing and the animation is to die for. 10/10 recommend.

Addictive game with great story. What a marvelous trip with Rose and hers friends... Rarely does a tactical game feel so much involving, thank to its amazing story and characters. Bravo!

Worth every penny. This game worth every penny, the story is enjoyable and intense, the gameplay is great and replayable. No bug or crash encounter.

Must play tactics game. Great game! Thanks so much for putting a lot of thought, creativity and heart into it!

Best iOS game ever!. No bugs just pure fun! Years ahead of any other turn-based puzzle strategy game.

Too Difficult. Enemy mobs cheat. You can only go on matching tiles. The enemy can go on whatever color tile they want to kill you. The colors or pattern didn't seem to have any effect on the game. Walking over a line of hearts didn't give any health or anything. I am giving two stars for a cool story and graphics. I was just too frustrated early on the game. I shouldn't be repeatedly dying in the first couple of levels. Wait for a sale.

Fun but short. The game is challenging and beautiful. Unfortunately ut is not complete and you have to wait after the next chapter !

Too short. Really good game, but too short for the price, took me 4 hour to finish and now have to wait for chapter 2.

Well done. Part way through the second episode and I’m glad I waited for it all to come out first. I am pretty sure I’m just going to power through it, it’s that good

Simply the best. This is an amazing game. Great update, if a little short to play. I would certainly be ready to pay for new episodes of this game if it could speed up the process... can't wait for chapter 3 !

Awesome game. I love the clever blend of colour matching and combat strategy. This game has a slick design, great art, and good writing. Highly recommend!

Cool concept, poor execution. Fun game but chapters are too short. I finished both in a few hours. Too long a wait between chapter releases. 5 months between 1 and 2. Ruins the feel of the game. Best to wait until all chapters are released to truly enjoy this game.

Excellent. Well made, smart, and fun. Highly recommended

Wonderful. It is hard to overstate how good this is. The fact that robot circus doesn’t charge for the additional chapters is extremely generous. Very enjoyable and strategic and engaging!

Engaging and creative. It mixes so many genres and is really replayable. It is challenging and I have enjoyed it a lot. Can’t wait for the next chapter.

Excellent game. This game is a lot of fun. Planning out pathways and abilities with your team is quite enjoyable. Decent amount of customization available. Played through chapters 1-2, greatly looking forward to 3-4.

Great tactical game, beyond matching. This is not a match-three puzzle game.. This is a tactics-based rpg with upgradable weapons and skills, and an entertaining, fresh, well-told story. It just happens to be built on a color matching grid. And it’s absolutely great. These developers have put out a very well-polished game since day one, and have followed through on delivering the content. It’s one of my favorite originals on iOS.

Awesome game. Great game - great support from devs, with several updates adding more game to an already super game. Totally worth the price

The game I keep coming back to. Long-time avid gamer with a high bar for quality. Ticket is fresh, engaging, satisfying, with a great challenge curve and just enough depth of strategy and building your character is over time. I'm not sure if I know any game quite like this one, as it really blends genres of strategy and role-playing in a unique and refreshing way. If you're at all into games that reward tactical gameplay, just scroll up and get this. You'll thank me later ^_^

A true 5-Star game. I’ve written one other review for an iOS game, although I’ve played hundreds. Ticket to Earth is worth your money. Hours of gameplay. RPG meets puzzler meets action. Really smart story. Very good graphics. I highly recommend.

Best Game on IPhone Hands Down. This game takes the classic RPG and gives it an iPhone twist. Such a good game it could be on a console, but it would not work there as well! But it would stand up to that $50 price tag. Pick this one up, you will not be disappointed.

Triple a experience, no micro transactions. This game is on another level. Fun and novel mechanics, compelling story, and plenty of powers/character development choices that let you play your way.

Can’t wait for episode 4!. Absolutely love this game. I’ve been playing it in every bit of spare time I have and now I can’t wait for the final chapter to arrive! Would highly recommend. Favorite game I’ve downloaded since The Room series.

Fresh and fun!. This is a really excellent game with fresh style and fun mechanics. I don’t usually write reviews but I really want this game to do well so they can finish the remaining episodes.

Figured it out. It took research on the internet to figure out what this game requires to move forward. Fun thereafter, and would give a better score but the game is half finished (read the fine print) and really was frustrating before I had to research a solution.

Great game. Wish they were timelier with the updates. Had this game for a while and only two acts completed....

Many hours of fun!. Great gameplay, good story, you won't regret of buying and playing this game(if you are into turn based gameplay).

Support great non~freemium games like this one!. Fun strategy components, easy to learn, difficult to master. Engaging story, but artwork has an inconsistent style which cheapens the experience a little. Minor gripe but could use refinement.

Great Game No In App Purchase Required. This had great game play and provided quite a few days of fun. It’s nice to play a game you can eventually win. Looking forward to episode 3!

Great game!!. I loved this game! A great refresh from the normal rpg. I just wish it had all the chapters. Do you plan on adding them as an update? I hope so.

Just awesome!. This is one of the best games I’ve played in a while! Can’t wait for the next chapters to come out! Thanks in advance.

Long, awesome game!. Really amazed with this one. Exciting and balanced strategy combat with smooth animations and satisfying action. Four long, compelling chapters telling a story that seems very relevant to our time. Absolutely a can’t miss game for anyone into strategy RPGs!

10 out of 10. Hands-down, one of the best iPad games I’ve ever played. Brilliant combination of strategy and combat. The pace is what you make it. This deserves a sequel. TAKE MY MONEY.

Best iPhone Game of 2019?. Ticket to Earth is easily my favorite iPhone game of the past two years. Highly recommended. It’s a gorgeous, engaging too-down strategy game with beautiful design, great gameplay, a nice challenge curve, and fun world building. Pick it up!

Wish more games were like this. Unique combination of genres. Fast gameplay. Deep decisions. Suspenseful story. Likable characters. Unbelievable amount of content now that all episodes are released. This is a commendable work of art.

Love the game but disappointed. That there hasn’t been a new episode in almost a year and counting.

effects issue. fire effects make game unplayable on my ipad 3rd gen. stutters and slows to a crawl. no toggle to circumvent the issue. was enjoying the game up to that point. upd: able to progress using temp workaround of closing then reopening game window until loop is broken. wolf's heat seeker ability is helpful in eliminating fire barrels later. if not for this issue, would rate four or five stars. nice blend of turn-based rpg with puzzle element, story, hours of gameplay. - have added star as result of last upd fixed the issue. can toggle off advanced vfx.

Exactly perfect. This is everything mobile games should be. It’s a truly impressive accomplishment for its developers and an unforgettable journey for anyone who plays it. If you like games, you’ll love this one.

Interesting Idea. I like the mix of RPG and Puzzle game. On top of that, the story is interesting and the art is well done. I gave it three stars because the entire experience (story and gameplay) starts to drag after the first episode. Game-player ingenuity takes a backseat to luck and strategic skill development.

My best purchase so far. Really enjoyed the characters, story, and intellectual turn-based gameplay. Nothing else has cone close for this balance of quality gameplay and mobile-friendly time demands

Brilliant game. A high quality premium game like they rarely make anymore, easily worth even twice the price. Thanks for the constant support developers !!

Need next two chapters. I love this game but as the title states it really is time to complete the story. Which is the strongest element of this game, while the gameplay is fun, it’s a great story. I for one would like to know how it ends.

Fun when you actually get to play. You would not believe how many dialog scenes you need to get through before you can play.

Woohoo, chapter 2 is here!. Love this game, and was excited to see next chapter on updates tonight! Edit: Thanks to the developers who fixed an in-game crash, it's running perfectly on my iPad Pro now!

I Need Episode 4!. I strongly dislike you guys for making me love this game so much and making me wait for episode 4! Obviously I’m kidding but seriously this game is worth way more than it costs . I’m blown away.

A fun and unique game. This game has pretty much everything I want out of a game: creative combat, fun strategy, unique character designs, and an engaging story. I have a fun time every time I open this app. It’s definitely worth the download!

Seriously High-Quality Game. Ticket to Earth has it all: great theme, excellent writing, engaging visual design, and fun gameplay. I am especially in love with the unique hybrid of puzzle and tactical strategy design. It scratches an itch I never knew I had. Devs, my hat is off to you. Your game flecking rocks.

My favorite iOS game!. This game just hits it out of the park for me...turn based combat, matching, and a great story have me always itching for more episodes!

It is not a complete game. The game play is good. It has a nice story line and difficulty is balance. But it is not a complete game. It is a like a football game ended after half time show. There is no guarantee when the second half will arrive. If you plan to play this game, better wait until it release the full version.

Fantastic. A truly impressive blending of several genres and me Hanisch that too often seem to fall flat, in Ticket to Earth are done very well. A really fun game that I look forward to spending many hours with.

Do the nitrium shards replenish?. I’ve played through episode 2, got all the talent tokens and nitrium shards. Do the nitrium shards replenish after a few days, or is there nothing more to collect?

Switch please!. Just don’t play games on my phone anymore because have a casual console. Would buy again for that to finish it!

My favorite iOS game to date. The character progression is rich and encourages you to switch up gameplay strategy, keeping the game fresh to the end. Excellent sound design and art. So much content for the cost. Well done.

Original, fun, amazing story. This game is so good. Update this game is unbelievably good. The combat is so fun, but the story is worthy of a Peter Jackson directed movie. I can’t remember the last gameplay and story were this good, maybe “ the Last of Us”

Best game ever. This is the best game ever I love the story line and the game play graphics are great and I haven’t had any bugs but it need episodes 4 that’s all it needs

Well worth it. In the land of F2P games with daily (or more) logins and diminishing returns, this game gives you so much for so little and offers an amazing story, excellent game play, and a memorable journey. Just try it, you’ll be glad you did.

Sweet. Just what the doc ordered for my stay at homeness. Very addicting, not too hard, and interesting if not a bit cheesy of a storyline. Mechanics are a blast. This is the game I’d write if ups were to write a game. Nice job!

Meh!. You cannot trust review completely. I don’t mean they are wrong, this is a one of the elegant games. It is well polished. But it is just not for me. The win and lose are over relied on what tiles you got on the map, and they are random. I hate this uncontrollability. It ruins the experience of battle. If it is a pure match-tile game, it would be ok. But sadly it is a hybrid. In a RPG, I wish to kill the enemies by my heroes own power, not what you got from map.

Enemies play dirty. Agree with several comments that the game is not just hard, it’s cheap and frustrating. Interesting idea but I will stop playing soon if I gave to restart a mission 5 times because the enemies surround me and block me from getting any decent path. When the game sets up a death spiral like that it stops being fun.

Perfect Tactical Mobile Game. By far the best tactical mobile game I’ve ever played. Excellent, thoughtful gameplay; great story that’s well thought out and executed; wonderful, unique art style; substantially long but never boring.

Pleasant twist on turn based strategy. This is an extremely pleasant twist on turn based strategy. I’m extremely disappointed that the last chapter isn’t released yet.

One of the best I have played in a while. Great game with an intriguing story line, can’t wait for the last episode. Loved the grid style fighting , skill tree, gem builder and cast of characters. Well done.

By far the best iOS game I’ve played. XCOM on iOS is nice but it’s awkward for the screen size. This strikes a perfect balance between deep strategy and casual play. Challenging but very fair. Great art and mechanics.
