Our mind-blowing technology has been featured on AOL, Mashable, TechCrunch, Huffington Post, and more…

- Gymatic not only auto log exercises and count reps, it also collect many advanced stats for each set, such as
* Heart rate (average and max) (only when using Apple Watch)
* Rest and work time (work time only starts when you move, rest time starts as soon as movement ends. No need to mess with timer when you need to rest after a set, it is all automatic.)
* Velocity
* Power
* Tempo
* Rep speed
* Form consistency
* Range consistency
* Speed consistency

- Connect with Apple Health app to read heart rate and contribute to activity rings.

- Get more accurate calories burned feedback then with typical fitness trackers because Gymatic knows EXACTLY which exercises you’re performing!

- It takes just 3 seconds to train any new exercise so there’s no limit to how many exercises Gymatic can track.

- Gymatic tracks your Crossfit, bodybuilding, weightlifting, strength training, HIIT workouts, TRX training, kettlebell training, calisthenics, machine exercises, and much much more!

- Stay motivated with remarkable progress tracking including 1 rep max estimates, calories burned and all advanced stats.

- Support both FreeForm mode, where you can perform any exercises, and Guided mode, where Watch/Phone guides you through a pre-programmed workout.

- Many workouts are included + unlimited workouts shared by the community.

- Track your indoor cardio and accurately count calories for running, cycling, rowing, elliptical, and stair stepper.

- Track your swim and count your strokes.

Tips:
- Wear your watch just a little higher on your wrist than usual. (above the bone)
- Tighten the watch on your wrist. (just snug, not a death grip)
- Want to track Leg Press? Strap phone to your leg. Or keep hands on your leg to move along.

The app is just ok. The app has roughly 20 pre installed workout routines. You can create a routine yourself, but it’s a bit of a pain. There was once instructional videos that showed you how to perform each exercise, but the website the app link to is now requiring a membership to see those videos that were once free to watch. The watch app does an ok job and keeping track of your reps and will occasionally switch sets without user input once you have completed your reps. Normally you have to tap the watch to switch sets. The watches count is also off a little. If I’m doing 20 reps I usually hit 21 or 22 before it lets me know that I hit 20, and that’s with exercises that it has “learned” my movements for. So, is this the best weightlifting app... probably not. There is definitely room for improvement.

Option to buy. I’ve found the free version of the Gymatic app very useful. In fact it is my number one app when I use the total gym. And it does justify a monthly subscription for me, and maybe many others. If there was a option to buy without a subscription then I would be the first in line.

Wasted my time!. Free app....NOT. I downloaded the app and it looked good. Lots of workouts included. It allowed me to even create my own and sync with my Apple Watch. I spent 2 hours creating my own sets of workouts, then synced them. I went to the gym excited to try it out, and as soon as I tried to start, it said I had to sign up for a 7-day trial. Very upset that I wasted my time and got to the gym but the app never indicated that I would have to sign up before using it. It would have been nice to know before or during the 2 hours wasted creating my own workouts. Looks like a good app but I feel purposely deceived. Deleting......

Annoying bug. This is a great app that’s marred by a really annoying bug. I use the watch version in guided mode and have set up a few workouts. Every so often (and it’s not infrequently) I’ll start a workout and realize that the first set is taking way too long. Check the timer and see that it hasn’t moved. I try to end the workout but only have the option to pause. I uninstall the app from the watch and reinstall and we’re back to normal. This would be a 5-star app if it were reliable but, as it is, it’s too much of a pain. Last thing I need when I’m doing my morning session is to spend time futzing with my watch.

Stopped working. Love the app. It’s a bit clunky, but it does exactly what I want it to do… except that a few days ago it stopped working and I can’t find anything about it online. No website, no social media, nothing. Tried submitting a trouble ticket through the app… nothing. I can’t create routines or update what workouts are on my watch and I’m afraid to try uninstalling and reinstalling because if I can’t log back in, then I’m out all of my workouts I’ve been creating over the past couple of years. Hoping to get a response though here, because my membership renews in a couple of days and as of right now, I’m going to be looking for a new app.

New Registration Req'd. I've been using this app for years, and I've really been liking it. Today, I open it up and can't use it without registering for an account, which does collect data according to the terms of service and privacy policy. Both documents also state that registration is *optional*, but the registration screen cannot be bypassed, so the app is no longer usable. All of my old workouts are now inaccessible.

Update: Fixed! Paid for Yearly Subscription but not recognized in app. Update: the latest app update fixed the subscription issues! The app is great! I’ve tried support tickets, emails, but I’m still waiting for some help. Problem started a week ago. No matter what I do, I can get it to work. Someone please help. The app is great!

Good for tracking Push-Ups, Sit-Ups, Pull-Ups. I do simple exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, and sit-ups throughout the day. It is nice to have a quick way to record them and track my total workout for the day. I deduct one star because they are requiring me to sign up for a monthly subscription just to compare my workouts day to day over through a month. If it was a single purchase I would consider it, but a monthly plan seems like a money grab.

Latest update fixed a lot! (Updated review). Update: The latest update really fixed a lot of crashes and bugs. The app is looking very promising again! If activity notifications is on and you complete a goal during a workout, it can still crash the app. So that's worth turning off beforehand. But unlike the last build where it crashed all the time, this version is WAY more stable. Great job on the fixes! Original 5 star review below: This app does everything I want it to. It keeps track of my movements, and I can easily log reps and weight. The auto detection learns quickly and is very accurate so far! And the heart rate tracker seems accurate too. I also mostly use the Apple Watch app to log everything. No crashes so far, AND it updates my activity rings when I finish a workout. I also love the automatic "rest time" feature! That way I don't have to start a manual timer in between sets. Great app! Worth going to premium!

The best. Honestly where has this been my whole life? I usually just use the build in Apple Watch for tracking work outs and just use the “indoor walk” for tracking weightlifting because there was no better alternative until now. The fact that this tracks reps and you can teach is new exercises is unparalleled. The community challenges are honestly really fun and cute too. And everything is free! I can’t believe it honestly. Easily my favorite app.

Thought I found THE App. Got excited but first use already started giving frustration. I see others give same complaints. It will NOT remember the workouts you have entered. The next day again it prompts you to “teach” it what workout you are doing. You work out hard and it only registers part of your workout reps. Some it simply doesn’t record at all. No record you did the workout. If you slow down, the app thinks you have taken a break and starts a second set even though you are still in the same one set. I tried for several days, contacted app creators thee times. Today I give up and delete the App.

Works, Great Concept, a bit Quirky Sometimes. Gymnastic works surprising well. Most exercises track automatically and I love the logs it creates. I especially enjoy the watch app. No bulky phone needed. Its a bit like having a trainer on your wrist. I’d rate this 5 stars but the watch version isn’t as intuitive as it could be. It gets confusing when you try to edit existing sets— do you tap? press and hold then tap? swipe? am I editing the current exercise or a future exercise? Also, the haptic feedback is hit-or-miss. If the screen is off, you don’t always feel or hear the rest stopwatch. Despite the quirks, it’s an impressive product and I look forward to future improvements.

Like having a personal trainer!. I've been using this free app for about 6 weeks, and have seen a change in my body. I'm definitely leaner. I've been working out my whole life and have always been in good shape, but I really had no goal; just a routine. I love how this app prepares my workouts, guides me through it, and auto tracks reps and weight. I don't get bored, and this app has re-motivated me to hit the gym. I look forward to workouts with my online trainer!! I even bought the premium. Plus all the workouts are in my Apple Watch so it's even easier to lift. Thanks!!

I tried desperately... but it actually HINDERED MY WORKOUT. I was, until 1 minute ago— our if frustration, just canceled premium. Maybe in some distant future this app will work but the “auto-dect” is crazy. It’s is accurate maybe 15% the other 85% I was deleting erroneous sets that came from nowhere, many times, I was just standing. The settings don’t work properly either... ie; I “turned off auto detect” to “promote to learn” it still auto detected. The interface is very complicated as well, I am not a genius but I have created small office networks so I know technology OK and this was for me, very “unintuitive.”

Fake sets! Please fix!!!!!!!!!!!. I’m having a problem where my Apple Watch will give me an error from the app saying that logs cannot be transferred to the cloud because of server issues. In addition, the app on my phone is creating extra sets that I never did and I had to manually delete them. Please look into this I am a paying customer thank you.

Hard find, great way to get started. I'm one of those guys who've for the most part neglected going to the gym. The nice thing about this app is that it will allow you create your workout, track it, along with a great exercise database, It has been highly helpful as a broke college student, getting into lifting, without wanting to pay $70-90/ session for a trainer!

Terrible app. In theory, this is a great app, but in practice it is terrible. It counts reps while I’m running, instead of just looking at the time. Sometimes it just doesn’t start counting reps. Other times it starts me off on a different machine while I am walking to my next machine. I just upgraded my Apple Watch, and thought it would get better., But it is much much worse. Everything lags so much, that it is unusable. And the only thing worse than the app is the customer service. I sent two emails, with no response. Do not get this app. Maybe it works with other devices, but not with an Apple Watch.

Watch app has been buggy since update. I’ve been the app for about a year now, and have been loving it. The watch app works great in general, but I’ve noticed that it has been buggy lately. Each time I open it or finish a workout, I see an error message at the top (which I’ve never seen before) that there are logged workouts that need to be saved. Even when tapping to save, it seems to get stuck in a loop. When checking the app on the phone, it seems to double or triple log some of the workouts. Other than the new bug, I love it!!

Amazing motion tracking...but that’s it.. This is a good app for tracking your motion and recognition of exercises. It’s so nice to not have to keep logging info during a workout but unfortunately the convenience stops there. Unfortunately it’s not 100% accurate and usually misses a rep in the beginning and at the end. Unfortunately there is room for improvement for editing exercises from the watch, it is cumbersome to keep fixing the auto log and there’s no way to bulk update or go back a set. The way the app works it’s very easy to accidentally log a set and you have to go back and delete them and re-add them. If this could get cleaned up it would be easier to use the auto log feature The worst part of the app is the guided workouts. They have no guide without using the internet to go to a website that explains them but it would be easier to google it at that point. No instructions transfer to the app or the watch and it really makes the app harder to use for an entire workout. They seem to have ignored a lot of the guidance so you already need to know what you’re doing before getting into this app.

So-so. It does some things very well. Amazingly accurate counting of reps…. But a couple of super annoying issues. It switches to the next set sometimes in what feels randomly. I would love to turn this off and rely on a tap from me but can’t seem to find a way to do this. Also, need the option when it does this to scroll back to the set I’m still on. A little more work would make this app awesome. In the meantime, I’m still looking. Hope the developers will add a few features.

Great app! Update again.. Been using the app for about 6 months now and love it. However after the last update, it has been glitching on my apple watch gen 2. It doesnt track right sometimes or loads a different workout that is loaded on my phone. Reatarting the apps on both normally syncs them back up but never had this before the last update. Please look into the new bugs. Thanks because this app is the best workout tracking app.

Dead end. Work like a charm until trial end. Then “subscribe to premium” pop up and whatever you do, you can’t get rid of it. Subscribed for premium for one month, then for a whole year and it make no difference. They took the money, but still want me to subscribe and wont allowed to continue. Customer support do not exist. Call to apple and request refund is only option left. Clever idea, terrible implementation.

Not worth the trouble. I was about to buy the pro version but this app really not deserve buying it. The app work fine the 1 day and after that the problem started. Not log the workout remain saying los in progress not close the app but in reality I’m never finished doing it. Uninstall and reinstall and now I’m not able to log in in the app. Thanks that I was still in the free trial and can cancel it before the charge. The app never let me sign in agains and not give any error , just stay in the same page as login . So if you want to try an one day app this is it .

The Best Workout Tracker. I try many apps and find this app. I used this app for six months every day and it's the best.A little problem still exist and it is suddenly closed the app when using and must reopen for restarting the workout. But many positive features cause run the app continually. Hope the bug is fixed.

Very glitchy and doesn’t work right!. This app is not reliable at all. Half the time it will not log workout from Apple Watch to app, “can’t upload file that doesn’t exist locally.” Get to the end of the work out and it will glitch and erases the entire workout. When building your own workout, it will decide the name for the specific exercise is an error and won’t except it even if you use the name given by the app. Just had a lot of problems and doesn’t work right. UPDATE, deleted the app from Apple Watch and phone and reinstalled to see if it would work properly, now it won’t install back to Apple Watch.

Love it. I absolutely love this app great way to log my workouts. Its great you can use either a pre programed workout or creat your own. Syncs to my apple watch perfectly. I would have given 5 stars but it does have a glitch. It will just shut down sometimes especially if you go back and forth between the app and other features on the phone. If this gets resolved would definitely give it 5 stars.

No luck so far. The general idea seems amazing. I bought the annual pro and with started my 7 day trial. My first workout in and it wasn’t exactly what I hoped for. I might not be understanding this but while following the core workout with my Apple Watch it seems to either count 0 reps or every other one. I ended up having to double up and in some cases triple my exercises with it still being inaccurate. I’m hoping this will get more accurate with more use but it may not be for me if this doesn’t calibrate and match up with what I’m doing.

An amazing product!. This app does a great job providing effective workouts for any level of fitness. The paid subscription is completely worth the money to auto track your workouts and help you to reach your goals faster. I highly recommend both.

The best workout tracker hands down. I’ve been using this app since day one and still do so every day even years later. I’ve even tried others over the years and nothing else is even close. My only complaint is that it hasn’t improved much over the years. Although that’s just a testament as to how good this app really is. With that in mind, I’d like to make some suggestions for improvement: - Combine pre-existing workouts so I can, for example, alternate between parts of an ab workout with a chest workout and not have to sort through all of my exercises as I would in a “free form” workout. - The ability to superset multiple exercises from a workout on the fly. - Either / or options for workouts. That way I can have several choices within a workout especially in a busy gym where preferred equipment may be unavailable. - Multiple levels of categorizing for exercises. - Metadata support for custom exercises - Support for external / multiple BLE accelerometers to better identify and track exercises. These devices are cheap and easy to obtain, plus they could even sell them. - the ability for watch and phone to work together while a workout is in progress. In spite of these suggestions don’t get me wrong this is hands down the best workout tracking app on any platform.

Changing lives. It seems a bit dramatic to say a workout tracking app is changing lives but I started using it and told my wife about it. For a woman who never lifts and has always been intimidated by the gym, it has made a world of difference for her. For me, it auto tracks workout to keep me from getting bored and focus on my form. Love it!

This is one of the coolest workout apps for weight training i have ever used!. I tried this at the gym for the first time yesterday and after training it for a motion it was was pretty good at remembering and identifying the workout each following set. I have also been looking for a good app to record calories burnt during weight training and this works better than the open workout i was using with the watch’s built in workout app. I have only used this one time, I’m not sure how it will work with legs but either way manually logging was also simple. So in my opinion a pretty solid app.

Awesome app!. Takes the guesswork out of your workout. I love this app as it auto tracks my workout based on my goals and experience level. It even knows what amount of reps and log the weight I used for a previous work out, and adjusts the intensity accordingly without my influence the next time the same workout comes up.

Best workout tracking app I've seen so far.. Using the free version, but seriously considering upgrading to premium. The UI is excellent and the Watch app is one of the most useful companion apps I've seen for the watch (let's you log the set just like on the phone, and times the workout so you can put the phone away, count the reps, tracks cardio workout.).The workout selection is excellent, and I've used the videos on multiple occasions to see if I'm doing an exercise correctly.A solid 5 stars.

Impressive. I’m a numbers guy and I really love the accuracy of the watch counting reps for you. I enjoy making a workout using this app and the ease of implementation. The process of creating a workout could be a little better. For example a drag and drop sort instead of the up arrow thing.

Good days and bad days. This app has the potential to be the greatest thing to happen the gym!!!! Most of my exercises are tracked nearly perfectly when I use the app on my watch. However, once in a blue moon, the app will have a bad day. It will jump to the next exercise 3 reps into a set. This is frustrating during some exercises like squats. The app will let “undo” if it moves ahead on its own. But you only have 3 seconds to tap that little button. That is not happening weighted out under the bar. If you do not catch it in time. There is no going back or fixing it live in then app. If you go to hit undo, and you are just a hair late, you have now just hit the finished exercise area on the watch. So you just skipped two sets. The second mistake can be “undone”. But the first is now uneditable. You can select to move ahead with a different exercise, but you can not select which set #. So if it skips set two of a particular lift, or thinks it detects a different exercise, and you try to go back to the original lift, but you cannot tell it which set you want to do. It will automatically start you at set 3. Until the AI of the program is better I think the user should have an option to let the use manually Mark when each exercise is finished. And can we get a permanent undo button located away from the finished set area?

Great Strength Training App!. Overall my experience on this app has been pretty great. I got it because I wanted a way to track my gym progress without carrying around a notepad in the gym. I also downloaded it because I only use my Apple Watch in the gym (no phone). Being able to sync workouts that you’ve created to your watch is clutch! My only qualm with the on phone app is the social features. If they expanded that more to allow better connection to people nearby, that would be fun. Also a feature to workout WITH someone (who also has the app) would be cool as well but that would take software changes lol. All in all, I’d give this app a 9 out of 10

The best app for workout log!. I tried a lot of workout tracking apps and this one has the most clean, awesome design and easy to use interface from all of them. Easy to type your sets and reps and it shows your last workout numbers as you do workout so you can keep track of your progress. The only thing I would do to make it perfect is a calendar where you can log your workouts by color (ex: leg day = red and that shows a monthly view of your routine.

Seems promising. Haven’t used it in the gym yet, today will be my first. One thing I can’t figure out is how to get voice feedback to play through bt headphones while music is playing. As soon as I start music the voice plays through my watch. This would be a great feature to have. Will update my review after first workout

This is a great app to optimize and track workouts. I'm by no means an expert, I took the gamble and spent $40 downloading several workout apps. Gymatic has definitely come to the table for being the best that I have tried, even so to a point where I signed up for the premium package after a few days on the exercises. My workouts are consistently dynamic and the app allows me not to think about the weights. It tracks them for me as I gain strength. I'm very impressed with the workout sets, adding, deleting or changing certain exercises, and the workout timer that is included between each set as you log it. I personally love this app!

It does a great job but some work has to be done.. First of all its a great app period and deserves five star. Update: just did jump rope. Its put me in rest even if i stop for a second or two. Its really frustrating. Update 2: Sorry i have to cancel subscription its not working. I was thrilled at first. But it needs some work. Suggestion infuse some manual readings with machine learning instead of whole machine learning. But it needs some work. Guided voice commands dont work with music playback thats a must. Cardio data is little different then any other strenght exercises. Eg. When i run i need to know how many miles i ran. With which speed i ran. What was my intensity chart during this run. Rep count can be made more accurate but i am still happy what its doing right now.. The problem happens if i stopped in between. Cure is just count rest period in background. Dont show it on apple watch and keep the rep count where i stopped or i will go mannually to next set and if i started rep should be counted as i exercise for that particular set. Syncing data with activity app when i am running or doing elliptical. Data should be synced as a running or elliptical not stregnth training. I am not using cardio option on watch i add cardio in workout routine. Like warm up and cool down and normal cardio day. Ui:- it can be make better and data can be shown in beautiful and understandable way it collects.

App status. Do you have any plans to fix or update the app to make it compatible with iOS 16.5. My issue is the same as the most recent posts (I attached a screenshot to the work order). I've contacted you via email (with a work order) and the phone number listed on your website that goes to Juan's voicemail (I've left messages). No response to any message. Please advise.

Best Workout App- End of Discussion. Update 2: one bug was fixed and replaced with another. Now when I start a freeform workout from my Apple Watch, I can’t stop it once I’m done. The only option to pause. I can’t to power my watch down to stop the program from running. And of course the entire workout was recorded, so frustrating! Update: I originally ranked this 5 stars but for the past few weeks I keep getting the same error that my logs weren't saved. Even after resetting the app, the same result occurs. I do not see an effective way to seek tech support and therefore must lower this app to 3 starts until this problem is fixed. This is the Best Workout App for me; End of Discussion. I've been using this app since I got my Apple Watch about a month ago. I've used it twice a day everyday. It has learned my routine and has become more accurate with the rep count. I just open the app on my Apple Watch, start a season and it recognizes the exercise I'm doing and records the reps. It's that easy. You can't go wrong with this app. I tried the other apps but this app beat them by a mile and offered everything I needed for my workouts.

Best app out there when it works. Unfortunately it goes days without working.. I have been using this app as my main workout app for 5 years. I love the customization, the watch app telling you next thing to do and heart rate. And the tracking and easy of changing a workout, set or rep. Unfortunately, there are periods when it just does not work. This year I have had 2-3 times where the app opens but nothing works. Log out and back in and says server issues. If you like to workout daily and your app you use to track these workouts decides to stop working for 2-5 days straight, it becomes frustrating. When this happens more then a few times, it’s unacceptable. So this week I will look for anther app and build my workouts in that app. Thank you for a great 5 years but time to move on. . .

Do NOT download this app. They don’t honor anything. “You have unexpired premium membership” that’s what my account is because when I bought it it wasn’t subscription based. Now, they want to charge to see the instructional videos. It is complete B.S. that they made me pay for something and now it is like oh wait, now you have to pay again monthly for the same stuff you already paid for for life membership. It is dishonest and I am filing a complain with Apple and the FTC regardless if it might be a waste of time and they don’t do anything about it. I just think I feel morally obligated to report these actions.

Excellent workout logs. Before the app I used to log my workouts on a notebook ie. name of workout, sets & reps. Gymatic uses the accelerometer on the watch to recognize the workout you’re doing and the # of reps you did. You can either do a Guided workout which you prep before hand and then follow or FreeForm. Say you just wanna do some random pushups & sit-ups then you’d choose FreeForm.

Best workout app out there.. I have been using this app for nearly 1 1/2 years, it’s a great app to have for any fitness activity, very pleased with it. At first I used the built in app features for my workouts, now I custom build my workouts. There are a few little bugs, on occasion that creep in, but nothing you can’t deal with or isn’t easily fixed with a reboot of the watch.

Perfect Gym companion. Been using it over past two days for upper body workouts, around 12 different exercises over the two days. Quite pleased. The first time you do an exercise (from the extensive database list), it will learn and store your motions, so it’s gets more accurate in its rep counts based on your moves. I have now configured it exactly how I want to and I find the rep count highly accurate.

Still needs work on watch interface.. I have used this off and on the last 3-4 years. There has been some considerable improvements. But I still feel there is a lack of available workout exercises in it’s library and at times it doesn’t synch well. I would like to have more control in how I can share my info on social media. And I wish it can partner with food tracking apps like My fitness so I can really focus on my overall health.

Almost works, but watch app is far too automated. The guiding is very nice, but there needs to be a bit more manual control. The motion tracking simply doesn't work well enough and it's too easy to get the workout off track (it adds an extra set or thinks I'm done before I actually am done) and I can't figure out how to go back. It also would be nice to have the ability to take notes

Great App for Weight Training. Finally, an app tailored for weight training that is easy to use and syncs seamlessly between IPhone and Apple Watch. I’ve tried half a dozen other apps which left a lot to be desired. Customizing workouts with Gymatic is easy and fast. My hat is off to the builders who obviously know what they’re doing.

Great when it works. Generally great, aside from the few weeks when I couldn’t even log in

Detection reliability doesn’t work any more. Watch constantly detects motion that’s not happening. Fills my routine with 2/3 garbage. Disappointing as it was great a couple years back

Amazed. I don't know the Apple Watch app recognises the exercises that I'm doing. I'm just amazed. Would pay for premium without thinking twice

Great app. Awesome app!

Works well. Good app works great! Except I can not change my weight. The default weight is 38kg and I can’t change it to my weight.

Without a doubt #1. Truly the best gym tracking app on the market to date

love it. v good workout app, and ive used plenty

Constantly doesn’t save my results. My numbers constantly wouldn’t update after a workout and I’d lose valuable information on my progress. I had a premium subscription and emailed the developers with my problem and never got a response.

Tailored workouts. The perfect workout partner

Hands down best gym companion. I've tried a bunch of these over the last month and Gymatic is a clear winner in every sense. Earlier versions were not without there failings, however the fixes have really made this a workout necessity now.

Love this App. I love that it helps motivate you to achieve your goals and at a pace that works for you. I also love that you can accomplish this with other like minded people

It's ok. When it works it's ok but some small features are lacking such as you need to define weight prior to starting the exercise and changing weight during the exercise via the watch requires a lot of fiddling for every set. It's also started closing randomly on the watch as I'm working out meaning I lose all the work out data. I've stopped using it now since I don't know whether it'll die before I complete my work out or not. It's ok to use on the phone only but the kind of defeats the purpose.

Does not work. I bought the full premium and it does not work series 2 watch - don't bother and save you money.

Error in registration. I cannot use the app because if I select Facebook the app crash and close... and I went online and change my password to enter entering email and password... I receive an error message in the app... simply annoying

3.7 stars but could easily be 5 star. This is the best smartwatch compatible workout app available, I've been waiting for a while for one of these apps to come around.. That being said I would love to see some extra features, I would switch if another came along with the following features: 1) the ability to reduce rest times on the watch during a workout 2) to be able to adjust the weight of the current weight of any given set on the watch and for weights changes of sets to carry forward. This would be great for cluster sets, ie: I'll do 5 sets of 4 reps with 15sec rests of barbell rows while wearing straps and I can't adjust my weight quick enough retrospectively 3) Also on the watch, to go back to a set/exercise if you accidentally skipped it and missed the undo promt 4) When editing custom guided workouts on the phone I'd like to be able to add a set to an exercise and then change the order so I could make said set my first set or third etc. For me these changes would complete this app and probably keep me subscribed until I stop exercising, Which won't be for another 40 years give or take..

Absolutely Painful to Set Up. Setup is mindboggling. Don't think that you're going to take it to the gym and use it on its first day. It shows promise but still takes far more effort than simply writing down your reps and sets. And why should I be required to "set up an account" or use Facebook to login?? I have a rather powerful computer in my pocket and on my wrist; I shoudn't need to send my data to an (unauthorized!) server. If you want t try it it, use the free version, jump through all the damn hoops first then see if it's worth buying. I'll let you know if I get there.

Excellent Gym App. I have been using this App on my Nike Apple Watch & AirPods for 3 months. I started with the trial then bought a 1 year premium. With the Nike watch face I have the Nike Run App, Gymatics and Music icons on the main screen. I have a custom warm up routine starting with 6 sets of stretching then 5 reps of 12 for each machine. I then using the Nike run app for the Treadmill then return to Gymatics for my cool down routine. The Gymatics App counts the reps perfectly and signals me via voice at 10 reps (which is adjustable). Very happy & would recommend.

Can’t paste my password on login. It’s almost 2018, this missed feature is going to risk your integrity and customers passwords strength. Get real

Useful. Well organized app. I only wish it allowed you to use the Apple Watch’s keyboard to enter weights. If I’m doing a super set, I’m switching often between weights and using the sequential scrolling is frustrating. Just give me a keypad please.

Ground breaking app. This is a ground breaking app, as the title suggests; this meaning that it is not only innovative and very very needed but also brand new. The app has more than a few bugs and the interface could use some work but that doesn't take away from the fact that it changes the way you workout. The app charges 10$ American (14 Canadian for me) to get the full benefits. So don't be fooled by the "get" symbol. Is it worth it? Yes!! By a long shot. I trust that the app creators will continually improve the app until it is not only a viable option but the standard. This is the first app of it's kind so I wouldn't be surprised to see other apps pop up that might have the same capabilities. Of course since this one has a head start it would be reasonable to expect this one to be more accurate. From somebody who has used every single damn workout app in the App Store, I can say one thing for certain: simplicity is king. And this app is about as usable at the others that I've tried and the rep counting capabilities are obviously unparalleled in the app market as of January 2017. The app is buggy so I've made a habit of writing them down and emailing them to the company. I just want the best workout app possible because I've been through too many garbage ones and I've got a feeling that this one will eventually mature into just that. Get this app, try it out, if you don't like the interface or think it isn't accurate enough yet come back later, the updates are rolling out with a good frequency. After using the app for about 2 weeks as my only workout app I can safely say that this app was worth it, and the new update is a big improvement. This app was the reason I bought an Apple Watch because of a YouTube video I saw about the rep counting. Get this app👍🏼

Won't work with apple watch. I've tried everything but the app won't appear on the watch. iPhone only is not desirable!

Works really well. Best weight training tracker I've tried. Works great with Apple Watch and health app.

Warning. I found it very difficult to unsubscribe from the premium feature. Be cautious and watch to make sure it actually cancels!

Great but..... - You can’t set the MaxHR, it pretends to let you, but then it doesn’t stick - the Apple Watch advances to the next set/workout automatically even if you turn off that option - the voice for HR on the watch doesn’t work half the time

Really great. This app is great. I have been wanting something like this for a long time. Please keep updating. This app, coupled with the Apple Watch is priceless. I am really surprised that this app has not gotten more attention. I'm a total gym noobie. I love the little videos that show me how to do everything.

Love this App it's the gym app to have !!!. This is a must have app for weight training, very smart technology keep up the good work!!!

Abandoned App. Broken and abandoned. No way to use the app without subscribing and subscribing no longer works or is offered.

UI Sucks.. You literally have another app with a great UI, the “Personal Trainer” one. It’s been years; can we get an update on that front? Seriously, you guys have such great tech on your hands. Don’t you guys ever wonder how why you’ve never been the “Editor’s Pick,” while these other, near featureless apps get all the front page glory? Sure, you’re always in the top lists, but you’re never number one, and really, I’ve literally tried every pro app there is, it’s not like there’s a ton of competition. IT’S YOUR UI. It’s underwhelming, and looks like a first-draft, or proof-of-concept. Apple Watch UI is fine, but seriously, if you guys want to be taken seriously as a force to be reckoned, then please, for the love of God, give this thing a well-deserved facelift.

Good could be better. Good app, needs improvement like being able to export your workout numbers and send to someone or compare yourself. Picks up all motion on the Apple Watch which is annoying. Can be super sensitive takes a bit to figure out.

So much potential yet so horrible. It's broken. That's it. Wearing this "tracker" on several basic exercises proved to be unable to detect anything Even set the Apple Watch on wake to previous activity and 70 seconds screen time. Doesn't work. If the app is updated to work this could get a 4 or 5 stars. Very disappointed.

Apple Watch won’t shut up. Every time i finish a set my Apple Watch says “10 reps” so the whole gym turns around and looks at me like I’m an idiot. Meanwhile I have my Appel headphones on. Can’t figure out how to turn this stupid feature off so cancelling my subscription.

Good app. I’ve been using a few different ones to try and get the right mix Things I like Accurate tracker Fast syncing with phone for exercise update Let’s you know the training zones you are in for heart rate. Some of the suggested workouts Things I don’t like (have contacted support ) Settings for weight (Kg or lbs) doesn’t stick. Birthdate doesn’t stick. Wish list Way to import csv of workouts

Terrible don’t download lots of bugs and costs the same as way better apps. Don’t download

Good use of tech but not good overal. I really wanted to like this app. It has the beginnings of features that really aught to be standard in all Apple Watch gym apps. But the execution isn’t there yet. I’d like to offer 4 stars for effort, but in the end the functionality is worse than a good phone based app. Heart rate zones are not adjustable for you as an individual. This is important because if you know your actual values through testing, there could be a as much as a 20 bpm difference between your actual values and what the app says. Your zones change as you increase or decrease fitness. Pretty important to be able to adjust these values; if you want your app to reflect you rather than a population average. The automatic detection of exercise is pretty impressive. But has lots of draw backs. You’re going to end up manually entering a fair chunk of your exercises anyway, because if your watch doesn’t move, like in cable kickbacks.. you’re left with entering manually. You could invent unique wrist flicks for these exercises.. essentially training special moves to inform the motion sensors. Myself.. not interested. Not only does that defeat the purpose, but I would be going out of my way to accommodate that gap. I want an app to be as unobtrusive as possible. Not requiring workarounds. I was also disappointed in not easily being able to see how many sets I had done when using free mode. You have to scroll down through your workout and count all the sets manually if you’re doing a circuit. You also can’t easily see your previous workouts values (sets, reps, weight) within the workout you’re doing. Essential info to prep yourself and to assess how you’re doing compared to last time. The ability for the app to display the velocity of your reps is awesome. I was very excited about this. But you can’t easily compare your previous values to what you just did, with out a lot of clicking and scrolling and trying to memorize what you just saw.. the comparable values are not displayed side by side, making their executable value about ... zero. Nice metric. But displayed in a non-contextual manner. What this app can do on the watch shows great promise. But fancy looking metrics are just shiny objects if they’re not available for pragmatic decision making. My last workout ended up having me hit the pause button so I could complete the other side of a single side exercise and not have the set counted twice. — counting left and right hip flexor exercises as two sets instead of one complete set of left and right once each. It also had me manually entering all the moves the watch can’t detect. This has no advantage over manually entering data into the phone. It’s true I have a push - pull Day where the Watch gets almost everting, which is nice. But I’m still manually entering changes in weight. All in all, the detailed comparison between successive workouts isn’t there, and there are still too many shortcomings in the execution of the tech. I was enamored by app, but now that I’ve used it for several workouts under different circumstances, I can see it doesn’t keep up with my needs. I’ve been a gym rat for over 30 years, and have trained many athletes in many sports (coaching since late ‘80’s) and have experience in the exercise lab. I am definitely wanting an app like this to fulfill its potential, but for now it’s not there yet and so I’m canceling subscription and going back to a phone app.

Crashes. While doing update on the go during exercise the app crashes frequently. This is one of the reason ai have not bought the paid version of this app.

Watch tracking not available in free version. Pretty disappointing. The automated rep counter was fairly accurate but the overall UX is pretty bad. The worst part is that unless you have Premium, you cannot track workouts on Apple Watch. I started the free trial, did my workout, and immediately cancelled. This is definitely not an app worth paying for.

No more crazy notes. Using Gymatic let’s me focus on working out and not keeping copious amounts of notes. I’ve been tracking my workouts in Apple Notes since 2014!

The beat and most complete. I use this for my various workouts all week, every week. This is the one to get. Well thought out features and regular updates.

Work as advertised. The free version has plenty of features

Use it daily. Incredibly useful. I load custom workouts on the app and it’s a really nice way to keep track of how well I’m making gains over time as well as tracking rep counts.

This is SO effective for me!. Being able to use my Apple Watch and have it automatically recognize the exercises and count the reps is outstanding.

Great tracking. Bad syncing issues. I love this app for tracking my sets and rest periods. This app would be perfect if it wasn’t plagued with sync issues between my phone and my Apple watch. After multiple restarts and removing and adding workouts, a lot of my updated exercises are not in sync with my phone from my watch. I’ve been using this app for almost a year and haven’t noticed any improvements.

Perfect app!. Easiest workout tracking app. Lots of space for details too. Easily customizable but also great for quick low setup routines.

Great beginners experience. I love this app even in free mode it helps with getting you into the gym without any experience or knowledge, the guided mode has so many workouts, you would not be bored.

I really enjoy this app when it works. I love this app. The fact that it can automatically track your workouts is awesome! I have found that every few months i have to uninstall because the app keeps crashing. I loose all my saved workouts when I have to go through that process.

Convenient, but has bugs. I enjoy using this app for exercise. However, dictating some exercises in free form mode has bugs

Great app, but.... I love this app, it's been a huge help in tracking my workouts automatically. Please add ability to give me new workouts, that is the only ask.

Straightforward and does what it promises!. I don't need much from a workout tracking app except an efficient interface and some level of customization. This app is perfect for my needs, and the Apple Watch app exceeds my expectation.

Must Have App. I've been using this app for over a year and I absolutely love it and could not workout without it. I've had a few issues with it but my issues were always resolved quickly.

Very good but not all features enable. This app does a very good job at detecting exercise. It allows you to have eight exercises but you only have three. I lowered my rating because I do not like renting software. The app is not very useful without renting the software. I am currently looking for another app that does not require renting. I am willing to pay but not forever. I have to use pushups and jumping jacks to track my abdominal exercise. They will not allow you to rename and you can only have three new exercises. I only track 6 to 7 exercises this is not worth a monthly fee.

Usually Great, but Functionality Needs Work. The use of the app for actually working out is awesome. However the app on my phone won’t load any exercises, save any exercises, etc. I have to manually input everything from the watch. It’s cumbersome but better than writing it in a book in my opinion. Fix that and this’ll be perfect, at least, for me.

Magic is gone. Whatever was done to make the motion detection more efficient has also made it way less accurate and reliable. Frustrating to use at this point.

Used to love this app!. I’m used to really love this app, But after latest version, motion detect and learning really stupid! It ruin all motion workouts. 😢😞 I’ve tried deleting and adding back, but it more and more stupid! It can not separate difference each workouts!! Very disappointed! 😞😭😞

Can’t stop auto counting of reps. Great app but it automatically logs your Reps and you can’t stop it (been playing with settings for a while). Pleas make a clear button to turn that feature off as it is highly inaccurate and you have to manually go and fix all your reps which can be a very annoying tho g specially for those that want accuracy.

Cool idea but a bit glitchy. The app idea is cool and it mostly works to recognize the movements and reps you are doing. That said there's times when it doesn't recognize the movement and that can be frustrating. Also currently I'm getting an error where it doesn't sync between watch and iPhone. If it lasts for more time I'll likely use a different app.

Update crashes. I have used this app for over a year. The recent update crashes often. Pre-update there was no crashing issues and the app worked great

Best workout tracker. Absolutely phenomenal app. Is more efficient and effective than any other fitness app I've seen, no other app has the auto tracking capability. Only thing I'd add is a native timer for rounds when you do AMRAP. Other than that, perfect.

Awesome. I've only tracked 4 workouts so far, but this is the best workout/weight lifting tracker I've tried. Exactly what I've been looking for! I think the watch app is the only one of its kind.

Lots of improvement needed. Great concept with the Apple Watch but accuracy and navigation while exercising is poor. Spent half the workout trying to get the workouts and sets back on track. In the end had to manually enter half the workout. Also the exercises are out of order when you review the workout summary on the phone app once complete. Great intentions but the developers have a long way to go.

Looks nice to start. Thought I would download this to give it a try, but in order to use the guided workout option on the Apple Watch, you have to upgrade to a subscription based Premium version. I’m not against paying money for apps, but I only do one time purchases. There should be an option for a one time payment. I don’t see the point in subscribing if all I want to do is use my Apple Watch. I’ll give the free part a shot though.

Almost great. Gave it two stars because there’s two big flaws in this app. Biggest is no synchronization with activity/workouts iOS. Reason why I’m switching to Fitbod. :( Second is not being able to undo a set when auto count is set on for the watch applet. Other than that it’s pretty sweet.

Too complicated. App is unintuitive to start and sync with Apple Watch. I’m finally ready to start and then it says I need to buy premium or start a free trial. I figured I’d already be on the free trial. I am not hunting around to find the button to start to the free trial so I just removed the app. I don’t want to pay since I don’t even know yet how it will work with Apple Watches exercise “rings”

Great but a lot of glitches. I want, so badly, to give this app five stars. I love that I can build out my own workouts it choose from a ton of different preset workouts. I love that there are visual examples and explanations of most workout types. I hate how glitchy it is when it comes to syncing with my apple watch. I'm continually having problems getting my workouts to sync to all the portions of the app. Super frustrating.

Great for lifting!. I've been lifting for over two years and I have yet to see an app that's as great as this. All of the features have helped so much and it's very easy to use. I bought an Apple Watch just to use this app to auto track.

App doesn’t upgrade on Apple Watch. I thought this app was gonna be awesome at first.. After I began to use for a few exercises it said I needed to upgrade to premium.. I did and the app never synced the upgrade and gave an error msg in settings when trying to sync to iPhone.. Paid $4.99 for nothing and never got any help from the developer or Apple!!! You guys need to fix or get rid of this app..

Love it but. I absolutely love this app but after the last update it has been crashing occasionally, other than that, best workout tracker.

Another high fee subscription. This app used to be 10$ for premium one time purchase. Now it is 5$ per month... horribly expensive just to track a training once a week. I was ready to pay 10$ for the app but not 5$ per month. I have at least 50 apps I use on my phone. Can you imagine if they charged me 5$ per month all of them? Developers have to stop this mania. An app you use once a week cannot cost 5$ a month.

Love it!. I'm a huge fan of Gymatic. I downloaded it 50 days ago (when lifttime fitness came to town). I've used it for every workout in that 2 months. Thank you Gymatic people for creating an app I can depend on!

The Apple Watch app is pure magic!. This is, hands down, my most used and favorite Apple Watch app. I love being able to teach it the lifts I am doing and then having it help me track my workouts. This app does so much more! But this alone has bought my loyalty and respect!

Buggy, no iCloud support. The app is still buggy (frequently crashes), and as I found out when I upgraded my iPhone, there’s no iCloud support, which means that much of my data was lost in the transfer despite backing up my phone consistently. Really disappointing since I use this app almost every day to track my workouts.

Smartest workout app. I really wanted an app that would help me keep track of the weight I was doing each week. It’s great for that and it counts most of my reps. It does have some glitches and I wish it would give me the ability to add another set along with counting my reps better. I also would love to be able to share the workouts I created with my friends. It is a great app and no other app does what Gymatic does.

NO WHERE IT SAYS YOU HAVE TO...... NO WHERE IT SAYS YOU HAVE TO pay for free workouts on the new Apple Watch series 3. Defeats the purpose of having the new Apple Watch series 3. The free works that you can do using the iPhone app, you CANNOT do using the Apple Watch series 3. It asks you to sign up for a membership while using a free workout. I was told by the developers that it is working as designed. I found that out after getting to the gym and leaving my phone home. Grrrr The devs are not quite on the nice side...extremely rude.

Great when it works. App has a tendency to crash in the middle of workouts. Not all of the time, just enough to be irritating. When it works, it’s an awesome app. Tons of exercises, and keeps good track of everything you do.

Bugs with the new update.. I LOVE app and use it every day. However since the newest update, the past 3 days have said that I have burned over 300,000 calories in my 40 minute workouts. Please fix this!!!!

This app is crap.. Installed to my Apple Watch. Started my workout. It won’t count any calf raises or count all of my leg presses. Touching the face to try and correct the miscounting just makes it jump to the next set. Really? That’s super dumb. You can’t go back. You can’t fix a counting error. So I’m now on my third set of leg extensions when I haven’t even started the first set. Total aggravating garbage. Not ready for prime time. Deleted 10 minutes into my workout. Good riddance.

Amazing App. I love this app.. it tracks everything and love the free mode where ü can tell the app want ü’re doing...I love the filters where it ü’re walking around it doesn’t count towards ür workout....definitely a must buy if ü’re trying to get back in shape or just want to keep track of progress for PR’s...

Data cannot be read because it isn’t in the correct format. Almost nothing is actually working in the app, I just get the message in the subject line. So I tried to log out, redownload, but now I still get that message and can’t even log in. Super frustrating. They need to have better support; trying to contact them is extremely difficult.

Waiting to Upgrade. Love it. Simple workout tracker, straight forward, learns you move easily, with a couple surprising features I didn't know I wanted.

Amazing app. I have been looking for wanting to create an all like this for a long long long time. Just amazing and so many possibilities where they can take this. I wish Apple acquires them and make this at the core of Apple Health

Great app. I like to create my own programs and this app lets you do that and track the results with my Apple Watch, then show me results through numerous graphs and metrics. Must have for anyone who trains regularly.

Won’t install properly on my watch. I’ve read the help file. My account says premium but I’ve tried to install and reinstall three times. The watch app never installs. They help file is useless. It just tells you to make sure your account is premium and then how to sync from the watch app that has never installed. Bummed, it sounds like a great idea.

An amazing product!. This app does a great job providing effective workouts for any level of fitness. The paid subscription is completely worth the money to auto track your workouts and help you to reach your goals faster. I highly recommend both.

Great but not perfect. Great app i use it everyday. I wish there would be a better visualization of strength gain over time, maybe a muscle map, or a web tool to quickly log past exercises, from any computer with browser.

Best of the lifting apps. By far the best, especially when integrated with the Apple watch. I couldn't be happier with the customer service and level of respect for Premium buyers who bought this app a year or more ago before it became subscription based. If I forget my Apple watch I'll skip that day at the gym lol, that's how much better of a workout this app allows me to have. 100% would suggest to add this into your gym membership and pay for the annual subscription.

App needs work. This black background is really messing with things like can’t read what the each color means nor see the tabs to upload workout results nor when addin pictures can’t see to type anything If it was like before I would have given a 5 star
