The fine beginning of a photo curating system. 10 July 2023 I decided to stop using an app for curating images that I used in sales for 7 years and switched to Utiful in Feb 2023. So far I have been able to use work-arounds in order to enter most of the data that I track. I have talked to the developer who os extremely responsive a out the things that might turn this application into a full blown art/photo curation system and those things are under consideration. The biggest plus for this app right now would be: (1) Editing of the photo / artwork filename (2) Ability to pull “Info” from Apple’s Photo App (3) addition of database fields Other than that, I really like the app and will continue to work with it.

It works!. This app is fast! And so easy to use, after you move the photos to the folder your asked if you want to delete them from the camera roll 👏🏻. What a life saver…. I had over 5 thousand photos and videos from my work, So happy!

Wow. I'm still in test mode but so far I'm very impressed with this app. It does everything I wished the native phone photo storage did. I can create folders and even organize into sub folders. I can move or leave the photo in Photos (copy). I can move photos around in their folder or between folders. I can use send to instagram or Facebook, etc. It would be nice if somehow these other apps allowed me to open Utiful for photos (recognize it as photo storage) but I can see where that might be a tough thing to do. I'm pleased.

OMG FINALLY!!. I have tried every photo organizer I could find and NONE of them does what this one does! Finally a photo app with folders!! Finally a photo app that MOVES photos into folders instead of just copies them. This is literally the first time since I’ve had a cellphone that I could organize my pictures!! It’s like Christmas came early! I have so many photos to organize now but I’m finally able to do it right!! And then on to the ipad! 🙌🏼 thank You for making this app!!👍🏻

Fantastic app AND Fantastic customer support!!. This app has all the organization tools you need to keep your pics organized, readily accessible, and backed up in the same folders you put them in on your phone. And customer support is absolutely the best I have ever seen in any industry! I don't normally review apps but this one deserves 10 stars!!

Negatives they don’t tell you. 1. Once you have moved photos into Utiful, you can mot export them anywhere or move them back to the camera roll without losing information (date taken and all the other hidden info, location, camera settings, etc. 2. I have Utiful on both my iPhone and iPad and they will not sync. I can’t access all my Utiful photos from either drvive. 3. Support is terrible. Couldn’t solve my problems and wanted me to erase iphone and restore it, which I saw no reason to do, and lots of reasons not to fo.

Consistent crashes. UPDATE: Developer quickly responded to my issue and provided a solution in a timely manner. Increasing rating because 1.) issue's addressed promptly and 2.) solution was provided promptly. Awesome! ----------------- Just purchased the app and already regretting it. Deleting images, moving images, etc., consistently crashes the app and closes the app. Where/when's the stable version?

One of best apps ever!. I cant say enough good things about this app and i have gotten at least 6 people to use it. I've been using this app for over a year and still don't know everything it can do. It makes retaning and editing your pics easy. Again i can't say enough good things about Utiful!

Awesome App!. I’m not one to write reviews but this App is worth me taking the time to do so. I am constantly taking photos and screen shots of tons of things only to find myself scrolling through thousands of pictures in my camera roll to find what I am looking for. No more! I love that I can set up custom labeled folders and VERY EASILY move and organize my photos into this handy app. Well worth the $10. Thanks to the developers for this one!

Misrepresentation of what it actually does. Ended up being useless. . The app misrepresents what it actually does in 2 ways. It advertises that it allows you to move photos out of the iPhone camera roll and allow you to organize them so that you know which photos have been sorted and which not. What they don’t tell you is that you are moving them not out of the camera roll but out of the native iPhone app ENTIRELY and into a whole new database . The reality is that it just creates and entirely separate database for you to organize these photos which you are then supposed to DELETE what’s in your camera roll. I could have overlooked this misrepresentation except for tue fact that anytime I am using any sort of function where I need to retrieve photos from somewhere,I can no longer do so because there isn’t a way to directly pull from this other database which means you have to go to the app, take out the photos and then put them back into your camera roll. Which completely defeats the entire purposes . The app literature is not transparent about the fact that very few apps are set up to work together with this app to be able to pull photos directly from it without having to do a bunch of extra work. I found a list of apps that work with it and none of them apply to me. This is not what I paid for and am respectfully requesting to berefunded

The Program I’ve always wished for!. The camera roll was good, but I needed a program to organize all the great photos I’ve taken with my fantastic iPhone. Then I came across this program and it was the answer to my wishes. It works great and is intuitive. What more could I wish for! Art

It’s not fair!. I’ve had Utiful for a long time now. I’ve messaged with Utiful reps back and forth about the product. They have been super kind and friendly every time. I found this app originally after searching for just this. I love the Utiful app. Why one star, then? I purchased the full app. Something I don’t do too often. I think there should actually be a law against a company allowing you to purchase an app and then decide to charge a monthly fee. That’s not right at all. I have invested hours and hours filing my photos. Seriously, you should grandfather in your original customers. I have told so many people about this app who have downloaded it. I can’t imagine paying for anything and having someone come and say Hey, I know you paid for that but in order to keep that you now have to pay me every month. I can’t express how upset I am. As I said, It’s not fair. I have to now find another way to keep my photos as the app won’t allow me to do anything! It’s dishonest.

better ways, better options. If a developer who feels they need to switch to a subscription appreciates or cares at all about the paying customers that invested with them from the beginning, there is a way to do so. This is not it. Especially since this app was only so so, yet with promise, in the beginning. You don’t take away features people paid for. You do add new features, that can then be placed behind the paywall. Like true encryption. Sure some would still complain, but you could stand tall on merit and customers like myself would actually defend you in a honest and fair review. Some people don’t mind subscriptions, I do, but I can’t complain if I still have what I paid for. Fair right? Now, I could care less if you don’t get a single new user and go belly up. Why? Because what would me and the other early adopters lose out on, you already took away the main function we paid for. Saving a pic to the app. Bad business as far as I’m concerned. No need for a response unless you plan to implement my suggestion.

Disappointed. I agree with the many other reviewers voicing disappointment over the change to subscription pricing. We have already paid for this app. Now to “require” your current customers to pay a monthly/annual fee to continue being able to add photos and “use the app as we have been and paid for” is not right. Make subscription the requirement for new users but Grandfather us in for “the access we had” with the option to upgrade/subscribe for access to new features.

Live Photo action gets removed. I’ve been using this app for several months now and I really like the fact that that my photos can now be organized into their own respective folders, HOWEVER, be forewarned that once you import a LIVE photo into a folder in this app the “live” action on LIVE photos is removed. I don’t understand why this flaw hasn’t been fixed yet. So, if you want to keep photos with the “live” action intact DO NOT import any of them into this app.

Good but not great. First off, the app appears to work as advertised. I have been able to remove my photos from the camera roll, creat folders, move photos to said folders, and organize the thousand or so photos I have kept on my phone. ( I only keep photos I tend to share or show people) I can now easily locate a specific photo I want to share and I don’t have to wonder if I didn’t add something to a folder and it’s hiding in my camera roll. Although this app does what I wanted to, it’s simple and not pretty. I think for $10 the dev needs to add more features, ability to change folder images, add passwords to individual folders not just the whole app, make basic or even advanced editing at least be able to turn photos to orient properly. A better folder management system that lets you move files into groups would be nice too. Unless I missed it, I had to creat new groups, new folders, move pictures, delete old folder. Long way around it seemed Overall happy with the app 4 star due to the lack of advanced features I believe a $10 app should have.

Best app ever!. I love that I can keep all of my photos organized in separate folders. When moving photos, the app gives you the option to delete them from iPhone camera roll which is great. Maybe I’m OCD but there is something annoying about iPhone photo storage and having to have the one big messy camera roll in addition to folders you might create. This app totally solves that problem and keeps photos tidy and organized. I recommend this app to everyone and it’s one of the most useful apps I’ve ever purchased. Highly recommend!

Best solution to manage photos and send to PC. I just wanted to be able to MOVE pics to folders rather than just copy them to a folder. Without them actually moving you don’t know which ones were organized already so my pics were very disorganized. This app allows doing that in just a few steps. This way I can delete them in the Camera Roll so I know I already organized those photos. It’s also got a nice export function in which can even create a group with many sub folders and export it through iTunes that allows me to keep the same folder organization on my PC as well as backup my photos easily. Thanks !!!!

Perfect For Me!. I have been using this app for well over a year, maybe longer. It has stored thousands of photos for me and created hundreds of folders. It keeps them organized exactly the way that I want them to be organized. I didn’t want this app to do anything but organize my photos. And it has done exactly that! It has capabilities of moving photos or copying them to other apps and/or back to your iPhone photo app. Yes there has been a few bugs over the time that I have used this app, but none that will keep me from using it. The app maker has corrected the bugs as needed. The other feature that I like about this app is that it clears out your iPhone photo app if that’s what you want. It gives you the option to delete the photos from the iPhone photo app or keep them there. It has helped me organize photos that I thought I would never be able to organize. And as with any app none of them are perfect but this one’s just about as close to being perfect for me as possible!

Big disappointment that it won’t let you rename photos. The big disappointment that it won’t let you rename photos or even see the name that iOS designated to them , you won’t even see the size of the photos or their dates or location or anything except photos them selves ... basically they provide what you can do yourself using Files app provided for free on your iPhone or iPad... it’s so basic with very limited functionality,

Used to work - now “Import failed...”. “The import was aborted due to an error while downloading the items from iCloud. No items were imported to the target folder. Please check your internet connection and try selecting fewer items to be moved in one batch.” • Wifi is running 355 mbps down and 22 up. • Cannot make selection smaller than one pic that still doesn’t work. • No support ?? I would have asked this as a question to the developer, only that wasn’t an option. Looks like someone getting $20/yr from me could have a way to let me ask a question. App support link took me to 2 video tutorials and an FAQ - in which I did not see my answer. Have used the app for over a year, so I know how to use it. This is the second time this has happened in a short period of time. Worth the $20 to me when it works.

This app has been terrific, but the latest update.... The file names are way too long, can we cut short the file name especially removing “UTIFUL_” from the beginning? I think we had something like 12 characters long before (which was already a bit long), to currently’s approximately wopping 24 charaters long! Is that necessary? It is actually a problem coz if we do backup computer files, some cannot backup such long files names. We will have to spend a lot of time to rename the files which defeat the purpose of this app. This app has been terrific! but if this is not resolve, i will have to give up on this app, and i m sure lots of users would encounter the same problem sooner or later.

Library lost and money wasted. App was great until something went wrong with the app’s sync function and it “lost” over 3,000 photos (2/3 of what I had painstakingly sorted and labeled in folders and sub folders for a couple weeks). All photos were corrupted and unretrievable. I Immediately deleted the app from my iPhone and iPad and won’t trust this expensive app again. 2 stars because the organization features were really good until things went south.

By far best photo organizer app. This app is what I’ve been waiting for. Actually moving photos to albums instead of copying them is such a help. I could put them in albums in the camera roll, but deleted the wrong ones and lost them. Plus scrolling through thousands of photos to find one is a pain! Utiful not only solves all that, I truly have never experienced better customer support. Pavel ALWAYS replies, often immediately, and he actually listens to his app users. I can’t recommend this app and staff highly enough.

Won’t move photos. I’m a guy, I don’t have a ton of photos. I wanted to be able to actually sort my photos and this happens to be the “best” way to do it. I was wary of spending the money on the app, but all the reviews seemed good. WELL, my photos won’t move, and it just sits there spinning like it’s doing something, but I don’t think it should take 15 mins to move one photo, let alone the time it would take to move 450 photos! Hopefully there is some sort of resolution to this.

Where have you been all my iPhone owning life..... This app is changing my life.... I use my phone a lot --- I mean ALOT for work, and I WAS ALWAYS OVERWHELMED by organizing and referencing my photos (let alone personal photos). The problem w creating "an album" on the iPhone camera roll is it STILL has to stay in main camera roll - clogging it and making it difficult to find photos when you need them.... thank you, thank you, thank you.... I'd give it 10 stars if I could...😉

More organized... but.... It could be even better. Things that IMHO would make this the -best- photo organization app: 1. Ability to organize folders/ subfolders alphabetically 2. A search function (I now have a -lot- of folders & sub folders, scrolling through to find the one I want isn’t efficient) 3. Ability to attach notes to individual folders or photos

Almost Perfect. I love this app, and have been using it for several months. A few things I would like is to be able to choose a photo of my own for the cover image on folders and sub folders. I would like the ability to choose to set a password for any folder or sub folder on an as needed basis, even if there was a folder that contained another folder and then in that folder was a passworded folder and a non passworded folder. Obviously all this syncing between devices. The only other thing that would be nice is background cloud syncing so The app doesn’t need to be open on both devices for photos to sync. Great job!

I should be an affiliate!. This is something that I have been looking for forever and I have told everybody about it! It is awesome. My only question is I have to get a new phone and is there a way to be able to save everything on the app so that I don’t lose it with my new phone?

great app. i love this app so much but it takes up a LOT of my storage. i have around 6,000 pictures on the app and it is taking around 21 GB on my phone...i figured out that the images were in my recently deleted so i deleted everything out of my recently deleted album on my photos app yet i’m still running out of storage...is there any way to cut down on the amount of storage utiful takes? 21 GB is a LOT!!!

From Happy to Sad to Happy. Update: I’ve received wonderful feedback and support from management of the app and am quite happy with the app. Who knows what I did or why it happened but I am impressed with the fast response and follow up to ensure everything works! 🥰 I am devastated. I spent three + hours yesterday uploading purchased graphics from my iMac to my iPad Pro to Utiful. I organized all my folders and synched all my idevices. I verified that everything was where it was supposed to be. Today I looked for some of the new graphics and all the work I did yesterday has disappeared. All I have are empty folders. I am new to this app and have found it easy to use and was so hopeful that this would be a dream come true to organizing my thousands of graphics I use for fun creations. 😰🥺

BAIT AND SWITCH. This app was, until recently, a paid app (and not a cheap 99c one). However the developer decided to change it overnight to a subscription based app with NO warning or alerts to people who had purchased the app. On top of that, all OLD features have been restricted for users who previously paid - it was not done in the way most companies would do such a switch where NEW features are restricted and we can choose to subscribe to access these features. This is immoral and shows a huge lack of respect for customers who paid and supported the app. Would you trust a developer who pulls **** like this? I’d you subscribe, he could change the policies on you suddenly the next day. If you value your money, DO NOT PAY FOR THIS APP. It is not actually free, it will ask you for money once you download it. In addition. The app has not had any meaningful updates in the last 2 years - it is a primitive and unstable app and with the development of the native Files app, Dropbox, Google drive, Mega, etc. you are able to get the EXACT same features for FREE. I urge you not to support a crooked developer such as this, it will only set a precedent if he gets away with this. Shame on you.

FINALLY FREE FROM IPHONE CAMERA ROLL FRUSTRATIONS!. For years I tried to use get used to iphone’s apple’s forced method of media management. Their Camera roll = a pile of media that you have to sift through any time you want to find something. I thought, creating albums would be a great way to organize my media and find it QUICKLY, but the Iphone and Apple hasn’t figured out how to make this efficient. For example. You create an album, assign a photo from your camera roll, but it STAYS in the camera. Although this sounds simple, it is NOT user friendly for a very simple reason. There is no indication the the photo in the camera roll has been added to an album. As a result, you are forced to go back and forth to double check that you “assigned” media to albums. It’s like being in media hell to be frank. THIS app removes media from your camera roll - done and done. No second guessing, no scrolling to find that one pic you want to share with the group, only honest simple albums with the media you assign to them. Thanks Utiful for finally making media management easy and effortless. Apple, take note of the way they do it.

You can read it in the stars.... 1 star to Utiful for their decision not to grandfather in the initial one-time purchasers of their fledgling app. 5 stars to Utiful for developing a versatile photo app that is lightyears ahead of anything Apple has ever produced. 1000 stars to Utiful for their business model change and fee hike which forced me to ask myself, "Why do I need thousands of photos -- organized or otherwise -- on my phone in the first place?" Hoarding comes in many guises. That includes phone photos. So I finally did what I should have done a very long time ago: transferred the photos I truly wanted to keep to my computer, and only kept a handful on my phone. The rest, about 95%, got deleted. It was liberating. Since there are never more than 25 photos on my phone at any given time now (I sort/delete/transfer regularly), there is nothing to organize. Free yourself from the phone camera tyranny. I did. And I owe it all to Utiful, which helped me realize why I no longer need their app.

I love it. It’s really useful and easy to use. The iPhone camera roll is annoying cause you don’t know if you put a picture in a folder unless you check then you have to find it again and it’s just a hassle, this solves all those problems and it’s only $20 a year

Love everything about this app. Lots of storage and organizes everything just the way I like! My only concern is that this is such a great app I’m worried about losing it in the future. I saved all of my important photos on an app once and the whole thing crashed or they had to delete it after about a year and everyone lost all of their files forever. Do you think this could happen with this app?

Not super satisfied. I really enjoy the idea of being able to take my pictures and separate them in a different categories and even sub categories I’m an artist and I work on a lot of different projects and a lot of times I have photos of different ideas or different works in the making and I would love to be able to have categories and subcategories and I thought the emoji was super cute and stuff but I quickly learned after getting the app that you can actually only have one folder unless you want to pay for premium which I am not willing to pay for also I couldn’t figure out how to do subfolders I don’t even know if it can I tried for a long time but yeah definitely the right idea but expecting way too much by giving you one folder and then wanted you to pay money

Milking more money. As others have stated I paid for this app when it wasn’t subscription. I get that the apps are licensed not bought. But still hard not to feel screwed when they change the terms. It’s like playing monopoly with a kid. Change the rules as they go for what suits them. The customers that gave the app recognition and paid for it when the agreement was $20 and we won’t ask for more money should have been grandfathered. Glad you didn’t lock and erase my photos. But saying I can still see them just can’t use the features I had paid for isn’t much of a consolation prize.

Indispensable! Photo Manager Magnificence.. I had been DESPERATE for a solution to my insane (5000+) pictures on my devices. I’m a professional handyman & take tons of client-related work images. But I’m a photographer & person, too! lol I simply couldn’t manage the god-forsaken Camera Roll, which — for whatever reason — can categorize, but won’t remove images from the internal timeline. Enter Utiful. I use this app nearly Every. Single. Day!! And it keeps improving with every update. It’s NOT “perfect” (yet), and yes, it’s a bit pricey. BUTBUTBUT!!! It’s stable & reliable and the ONLY intelligent photo manager I’ve tried (omg...and I’ve tried a TON of them) that works intuitively and like iPhoto SHOULD. I still have ALL. of my photos, but now, instead of shots of my ceiling fan install intermixed with shots of my dog, I can not only CATEGORIZE/& SUB-CATEGORIZE photos, but also REMOVE them entirely from the Camera Roll. Kudos & thanks, Pavel! You hit this outta the park. I’m forever grateful! This is a brilliant app. Highly recommended!

FOLDERS. Created folders with this app on my IPAD PRO but the app did not add all folders on my IPHONE 8. The 3 folders it did create it did not add the photos. My photos were deleted on my iPhone out of cloud since I deleted from my IPAD. This is not what I anticipated. Other picture apps work in tandem on these IOS devices. Therefore I am truly disappointed in this app and cannot retrieve my pics that were deleted off my Iphone. The app is fine if one only works with one device. If I take a pic with IPHONE the pic automatically adds to IPad & vice versa. This app should perform the same.

Would be great!.... if. Seems like it would be a great app. I would have loved to use it a little more to see how well it works, but they don’t tell you that it’s not free AT ALL, or that it only allows you to move photos ONE single time and then the app stops working unless you pay. So I’m uninstalling. I might have purchased it had I been allowed to use it as a limited “free version”. But with only one single use, I have no idea how the app works beyond that. Hopefully you guys consider allowing people to use the app a little more to gain user experience, so they can decide whether or not to purchase. Thanks.

Love the idea. Love the idea behind this app and it’s great when it works. However, I’ve been on an organizing kick for a couple of days and today, all I get are error messages. It’s frustrating, since I checked my internet connection and it’s working fine. I can sometimes move one photo, but for the most part, I can’t do anything on this app.

Catastrophic fail potential. Hi I have been using this app for a several months without issue, but, now when I transfer photos from iPhoto to Utiful using my IPad Pro, the photos I have transferred and saved into Utiful have become extremely degraded(blurry!) I typically use the delete from iPhoto option once I have transferred in order to save memory and use Utiful for it intended purpose(organized safe storage) . Now I have batches of photos that I have erased from iPhoto and stored in Utiful, only to have Utiful destroy my only copy of these photos! I rely on my IPad extensively for work. The photos of my work are a huge part of how I procure new and returning business. If my photos get destroyed I can not usually replace them, this messes with my money! Utiful, I have paid for your product(for three of my devises!), I have integrated it into my daily work life and trusted your service to simply save my photos in an organized manner. But now your app is Destroying my work, which cost me time and money! What have you to say for your product! It is at the very least disappointing that your app has been unknowingly destroying my work! On the other hand it is disturbing that I can’t trust Utiful to do what it is supposed to do. This is a five star app when functioning, but when it doesn’t work it will destroy all your photos! Guess I need photo insurance.

Easy Peezy. I love this app all you need is time to sort your photos your folders. I’ve been looking for this app like this for a long time and for some reason it was not soon enough. Again thank you guys appreciate it so much.

Does what it says it will, better than iPhone camera roll. I like the app, because it allowed me to move my photos the easy way without having to hookup to a computer. I have 2 major dislikes about it, one being that it only gives you two options to organize, which is restore in default order and organized by date taken, the default order didn't install my photos the way I had them set up, I would like an option where I could organize photos by name. Second issue being that I can't lock individual folders, I have to lock the entire app.

What a great idea!!!. Ever use your phones camera to capture images of things that weren’t really “PHOTOS”? Classroom or meeting whiteboards? Info from posters or other ads? A quick shot of a business card? Or maybe it’s the name and number of a potential new “date” jotted down on a cocktail napkin? (Yeah...I’ve been there too - don’t judge!) You name it. Our phone cameras are great tools for capturing information quickly and accurately. But who wants all that STUFF in your camera roll with all of your pictures? Maybe it’s the photographer in me, but that really drove me crazy. Not anymore though. Utiful is a really cool app that lets me store and organize these images in a folder structure that I create so they are easily located when I need to refer to them....but they are OUT OF MY CAMERA ROLL when I want to view my photo library!!! Two problems are immediately solved - the images are organized and easy to locate AND, my camera roll is once again a place for my photographs - not all the other STUFF I may shoot. It works great on iPad and iPhone. Seamlessly backs up and syncs in the cloud! I’m not one to write a lot of reviews, but I stumbled over this almost by accident one day while searching for something else in the App Store. I’d never heard of it - and likely you haven’t either. But it works extremely well and I could not be happier that I found it! I simply can not recommend this fantastic little app strongly enough! A true “diamond in the rough”!

An organizational dream!. This app is so easy to use and should be on the iPad of everyone whose workflow involves images, whether posting to web sites and blogs, managing a collection of photographs, or organizing scrapbooks. One of the features I like best is that you can easily share an image to a page on a browser, such as adding media to a Wordpress site or to a comment hosted by Disqus. I use Ulysses a lot and it likewise allows me to easily add an image to a page. The support is helpful and responsive: I had a few questions and they provided detailed solutions. I've been looking for an easy and comprehensive tool for organizing my image collection on both my Mac and iPad. There are a number of excellent choices for the Mac (which I'm trying to winnow down to a single app) but there are just a few for the iPad, and, except for Utiful, the apps are pretty lousy. Thank you for developing this very useful app for the iPad.

HELP BEWARE!. I loved this app at first, i pay for subscription but sadly when I tried to order photos to be printed or photo books to be printed from ANY of the well known photo printing apps UNTIFUL never shows up in the list of options of where to pull the photos from, I've tried everything i can to add it to the list of folders to view photos from but it will not recognize this app which makes this app useless and also my photos inaccessible and ALSO they were deleted from my camera roll upon loading them to this app so now my daughter's birthday pictures have to just sit in this app and I can't order any of these pictures to be printed, anyone know a fix to yhis PLEASE HELP!

Fantastic Customer Service. The support staff at Utiful went above and beyond to help me solve a problem! Immediate response to my situation. The problem was solved and I highly recommend using Utiful. Beautifully designed and my pictures are easily available. Also, by using the app, I have more available memory on my iPhone. GREAT, But. This is a great app for organizing your photos. It has made it so much easier to find photos and WAY less cluttered. It does scare you a little at first when it says “allow app to delete these items” However I later realized that the app was totally safe. The only thing I would change is too add a editing app too the organizing app. That way you could edit the app and it would be very convenient. Overall it is an amazing app.

stupid.. okay let’s start off with one, the clickbait. No, this app will not store all your photos into albums and make it easy, it’ll let you make one album. Then you have to pay 20 bucks for everything else, horrible and so inconvenient. I recommend My Pics as a better use, I’m not paying 20 bucks to enjoy pictures of my friends and family.

Folders finally. This app has given me the freedom to organize in the way that makes sense to me by providing named folders. Thank you for a welled designed app. As an artist it is exciting to be able to easily move, select and keep track of images.

LIARS!!😡😡😡😡. When I purchased this app it was advertised as a one time purchase but not long after I purchased it I’m told I need to purchase a subscription to have access to all features after the fact. Apple should hold these people accountable for their statements & not allow this deception in its App Store or at the very least grandfather prior purchasers in.😡 This is taking advantage of people!😡

Perfect!. Just what I was looking for and more. If you in any way or for whatever reason want to streamline and safeguard your photos etc...this app is what you need! Simple navigation and easy to use as well.

Works better than apple Photos. They provide basics that apple photos should have already came with.

It’s a great concept BUT...... If you’re trying to sync between your iPhone and IPad, you would need to purchase this app on BOTH devices $9.99 x 2 = $20! Not to mention, the back up (sync) does not work. I have emailed support about this and sent screenshots trying to sync this to my IPhone X. When using other applications to open your photos, you won’t have access to your Utiful saves and would need to export them back to your camera roll. Hope this review helps your decision to purchase or not.

I can name pics and alphabetize. I love this app. Have folders and can those and pics in alphabetical order. Let’s me know if i have duplicates.

Bait & Switch. Paid $20 for this app when it was newly released, now they want $20 per year and disabled it. Other developers with a few other apps I own who are in the same dilemma found ways to make what was originally purchased work for all their supporters, old and new… Not these guys, they just sell you an app then break it and switch to subscription pricing mid stream and blame Apple.

Finally!. Finally an answer to the way many people want to sort their photos instead of just being told that is not how Apple does it. Now I can actually see what is sorted.

Great photo manager. I had over 5000 photos to organize and was looking for an easy to use app. This app is exactly what I was looking for and I’m so happy I found it. An added plus is I had a question and the developer responded very quickly with an answer.

Total Garbage. I almost lost all my photos fo Rom the last 10 years. While it was nice to be able to organize them be VERY careful when you upgrade phones. Mine did not come over; just the folders. No photos!!! I was lucky as I had not wiped my old phone and started exporting. That was a disaster s it crashed writing to multiple locations. And now they want to charge yearly for this junk ? After spending a considerable amount to but the program. Stay away !!!

My photos disappear. This is the only app I’ve found that lets you save photos in multiple levels of nested folders. You still can’t name or tag photos, and you can’t use a photo as a folder icon. Occasionally a photo will be corrupted: it is replaced by a generic thumbnail icon. Those photos seem to be gone forever.

Paid FULL PRICE $10 and now they took away features. They changed to subscription but they took away the app I paid full price for! You are supposed to stop selling the pro version and release a new freemium subscription garbage app, not steal the software back that was working fine! FIX THIS OR YOU GET 1 STAR and you make your customer your enemy.

GPS location. I noticed when I moved my pics to the app that the date/ time showed but not the location of where it was taken, it was showing on my camera roll ????

People who purchased the app are screwed. I purchased this app and have used it for a few years. Now, they are switching to a subscription based model and all they can offer is one free month before $20/year subscription kicks in? Yeah, no thanks. Now I also have to figure out how to save all my organized folders elsewhere. What a mess. Not a happy customer.

Add a function. I tried to use a minecraft skin photo to change my skin using this app but its only using the regular photos app on my phone is there a way to fix that?

Used to be great. I used to love this app. It let me organize all my photos and keep my camera roll clean and organized. I even did the paid version so it worked best for what I needed it for. Now they want to have a yearly subscription and those of us who had it before are being forced to upgrade to this if we want to keep using the app. Absolutely ridiculous.

Not right. When I purchased this app last year I was not told or would quadruple in price after a year THIS IS NOT RIGHT If you had to raise the price you should be fair and grandfather your original price to those of us that already subscribed

Trap. The app more or less traps your pictures unless you want to subscribe for a trial or pay $20/year. Once you transfer your pictures from Photos app and delete them from there, there is no simple way to send them back there. There is an option in the app but it doesn’t work. Good luck.

Feature Request. Please add a ‘favorites’ option in the shape of a heart icon that users can select so that those photos show up at the beginning of each album.

Update fixed it, back to 5 stars. There was an issue with messaged app and not requiring a passcode that was resolved within one week of my negative review . Great app with customer focus!

Wow. Just wow!. This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for! I’ve only had it one day but I am loving it so far! It does everything I wanted it to do and so much more. I will FINALLY be able to sort my thousands of pictures the way I want to!

Program shutting off. Trying to load pictures into app and all Of I sudden the app just shuts off .. if not for that it would be a wonderful app I am disappointed because of the cost of the app and the issues I am having

Love it for keeping photos separate. It’s great for keeping your business photos separate from your personal photos. I love the way you can create folders and keep each photo in a folder-per job name.

... will NOT “MOVE” photos!!. Always a gotcha and guess what? Can’t get your money back. If you have photos on your phone and have synced at least ONCE with iTunes then it WILL NOT MOVE AND DELETE PHOTOS. This is very likely you. Who has not once synced their photos with your PC while setting up or updating your phone? Chance are you have. The claims made here are bogus, false and this app should be removed for FALSE ADVERTISING!!

I’m out. I can’t stand the way the con based subscription service has taken over apps on this store. Time to look elsewhere for a photo storage app or just start exporting them to a thumb drive. I’m pretty sure I can just buy more thumb drives and they won’t think I have to pay for a subscription to store my photos. But fear not; there’s a sucker born every minute and you’ll no doubt find some fools to sign on. Just not this fool.

Amazing. This is my second (5) star rating of this app. I’m not sure why anyone would give it less than five stars, they do everything they claim, then some.

Not happy. I have sent a message to the company regarding transferring photos from other photo apps and have gotten no reply whatsoever I want to find out how to transfer in and out from this app and I’m getting no response glad I never completely deleted my original pictures.

Doesn’t do as it says?. I got this app solely so that I could make photo albums on my photos app and not have them in my camera roll. However, when I export my folder to photos, those pictures then show up in my camera roll and if I delete them, they also delete off my album. In other words, it is not helpful at all. I even got the free trial to see if that made a difference but it did not. Am I missing something? Thanks

Teacher critique. This is a very intuitive app. I was able to mold it to my specifications and began using it immediately. This app can take the place of many other apps for the inventive mind. GREAT CHOICE!!

Filter mostly. This app so far appears to mostly filter. I wish there were more personalization options. And I wish I could have a pic in two places at once if I wanted. But so far happy!

Why the annual subscription and payment?. The program seems good to me, but its drawback is that it has an annual subscription. Why annual subscription?? . The program should be purchased once. For example, for life. The annual subscription is very expensive.

I can finally delete pics from my camera roll after adding them to an album!!. Great app! Worth every penny! Love being able to finally organize and delete things from my photos on my IPhone XR!!

Utiful - One star review, not a happy camper!. I’m very frustrated in that when I choose a group of photos to move to a folder I get an error message saying there’s a problem with the iCloud download and to check my internet, my internet is perfectly fine! I have nearly 6,000 photos to move to folders and if I have to move them 1 photo at a time, I’ll cancel this subscription. Please fix this.

Wanted for it to succeed. Sorry it do not!. After reviewing numerous apps that offer this functionality, I chose this one. Purchased and installed. After multiple attempts with the same action (Failed on imports) I am frustrated. I have checked the user manual, watched the videos and finally emailed tech support with a screenshot and have yet to hear back. Will gladly update my rating if/when I hear back. My search continues.

Lost 2,000 photos. Transferring pics from iOS to the app. Took hours and they are gone from my photos and not in Utiful. All were product and design photos from my business. Three years of work. GONE. I feel sick.

Can’t share to instagram stories ???!!!. I just paid $20 for the app as I own my own business and need to organize photos for adverting in specific albums for my bar , eg : food , karaoke night etc . It seems I can’t share to instagram stories ? This is essential these days ! Am I missing something ?

Question. Once my photos are loaded into this app Utiful and they’re deleted from my iPhone camera roll, are they being backed up somewhere in case my camera is damaged or expires?

BEST PHOTO ORGANIZER EVER!!!. I was looking for an app that would neatly organize my photos and allow me to have multiple folders WITHOUT having duplicates and here it is. This app runs smoothly and it's easy to use. Recommend to anyone who is a fellow neat freak :)

Best thing since sliced bread. Everything I’ve ever wanted! Brilliant! Makes it very easy to create photo albums on other apps etc. I’m a neat freak and this app calms the anxiety I had every time I opened my camera roll lol.

It’s function is a bleeding for those who like me may or may not have 15k+ photos in their camera roll! But omg my eyes! I already paid $20 for this app & now they want to start charging $20 a year now!! Oh, they said since I've been with them for over a year I get "1 month free!" Really???? That's how you treat your customers who paid $20 for this? 1 month free!??? $20 is a lot to pay for a app, but now you want to charge it yearly?? No thanks!! Why is there No pricing listed?. I can’t find the cost of this app listed, it only says free trial and then after the trial your Apple Pay will be charged. Did I miss it somewhere? I’ve read lots of reviews that what the “original” cost was changed over night to something else…
