Food is hard to pick up. When the food is spawned and falls to the floor, some cannot get picked up. The action gets confused with the upswipe on the Xs plus, and exits out of the game. It frustrates my son, as the character clearly wants to eat the food at its feet, but you cannot get it to them.

Short lived. I like the game and think it is a great primer. After five mins of playing with it my 5 year old was bored and went on to another game.

4stars. It’s really strange like all the possibilities that they can look like but I love how once your finished,they bring in a disco ball or a chicken or something fun like that

Like it but…. When i asked my mom to get it i was happy but when I played the game but in about 5 minutes I was really bored so don't waste your money

Fun but not worth the money. Is a good and fun game but is not worth $3.00.

Overrated and Overpriced. Adorable game, but I don’t see why it’s $2.99 to play. It’s really boring and not worth the money. Now if there was more you could do, for example, like play mini games with your characters and/or make pets and families for the characters with DNA similar to the base character, or maybe even make a chat room where you could show of your characters, the game MIGHT be worth the money. I definitely do not recommend this game.

Good but could be better!. I’m 10 and this game was probably made for 5 year olds needs more monsters and body parts maybe snot or slime I get that it for little kids but if you want everyone to like it add like a setting to turn on/off (blood snot slime fangs etc.)make it more like goosebumps (my favorite scary show it’s on Netflix this month it rocks for kids over 9 ,younger kids might get scared ,get nightmares etc. I started watching this year the book series is great!) Please consider my request and watch/read goosebumps

DS's New Favorite. My son just adores this app. He caught on very quickly to how to make creatures and now he has a whole collection. He names them and talks about what they can do. The monsters look real like they came from the set of Disney's Monster's Inc. They never look like a lion head just stuck on a fish body. My boy especially likes when they dance and he sometimes joins in doing the mummy dance as he calls it. Totally worth the $ and will be perfect for holiday travel entertainment.

In the app, children can create different creatures by creating and rearranging their “DNA.” It is a great way to introduce children to the idea behind genetic differences—why everyone has different hair color, body type, etc. Additionally, if parents want to play with their children, the app can be used to introduce and practice counting and colors. The app also includes plenty of fun. Children can create over 200 billion different creatures. Once creatures are created, children can feed them, dance with them, put them to sleep, and save their creatures for sharing. Creatures are colorful and entertaining and offer hours of fun.

DNA MONSTERS...WHAT FUN. DNA PLAY by Avikiddo is an engaging app to help,kids better understand what makes each person different. Best suited for younger kids, the kids are encouraged to create monsters by completing DNA chains. They can do this in 3 ways: finishing a DNA chain puzzle piece, rearranging the chain and touching one of the many changeable body parts ( body, head, arm, legs,). Once the monster has been created the kids can interact with their creation (eat, skateboard, play games). The graphics are bright and make use of many different colours. The completed monsters can be saved to a monster library for future use and photos taken and saved to your photo library. The app encourages dialogue and imaginary play. Longer play life for 3-5 year olds.

Random Review. I like the creativity of it al, and it’s kind of fun to mess with the monsters’ DNAs to see the silly results, but other than that, nothing special. Should’ve expected it. I enjoy it when I have nothing else to do, but comparing to other things, not too awesome. Ok.

More activity. I think it could use some more activity; specifically more of the food.

Meh. This is a creative app but boring and repetitive after awhile. The monsters are just created, nothing more. No interaction or games. They could've done more.

Great app! Needs improvements... Bought the app for my girlfriend’s daughter, 3 yr old who is on the spectrum and has anxiety so got this for us to do together when she wants to chill out and just play it for fun. The app caught my attention across all the “Mix & Match” games from the creativity and the mechanics. It’s very entertaining for myself and the kid. First, the price it’s not exactly what I expected, I thought I would get more. Especially deciding on which activity I get to do after I’ve built my little guy, I wanted more choice and so does the kid! It’s frustrating for both parties to have to wait to make them dance or feed them! Secondly, on iPhone X it’s difficult at the start of creating a new alien. Actually getting ahold of the matching DNA is hard, you just end up swiping the app up and takes the fun out of the beginning of the game. If there was any way to improve the app specifically for the newer iPhone generations that would be greatly appreciated and encourage me to buy more of these games! This is the first I’ve bought from this developer but definitely not the last! The only thing I fear is the poor choice of mechanics for my phone which makes me weary. Otherwise, great app, beautiful creativity and loads of fun for toddlers and adults!

Child approved. My almost-7 year old bought this game with her own money and is quite happy with it, and asked me to review it. Players arrange blocks representing DNA to change the shape of their creature. Activities also pop up as ways of playing with the creature. The creatures are “fun” monsters, fantastical, not earth like or scary. The game is inventive and teaches that a lot of diversity can come from small changes in DNA. It’s difficult to steer the creature in a specific direction.

Where is it?. Paid for the app, downloaded, nowhere to be found. Very disappointed 4 year old daughter.
