I like it. I really do enjoy that app and I like that it keeps word count and all but I am thinking on writing a book and I decided to check it out and just do a little playing around but when I tried adding a photo to be my background on my cover it says that it’s too small. Does the pixels have to be 500 x 800 because it’s kinda hard trying to find the exact number. Can you help me with that? Maybe you guys should make a photo editing app where we can get one of our own, adjust it, edit it and all that then download it as our cover. Also this is actually way better than Wattpad.

Need fixes. This app is very nice and I personally like it as a reading app, but I generally don’t like it when it have to login in your account. It’s a basic thing and I know that because I’m not dumb, but connect the devices that aren’t a computer with any device. I started my account on a ipad and I wanted to write a book. Though I soon to realize you have to write it on a computer. I was okay with that because I have a computer and some apps prefer that, but I forgot my password (since it was a long time) and I tried multiple times to login. I finally clicked “forgot password?” And they did email me the link, but almost all of it say it couldn’t find my account. Then, I received a working link and I wrote in my new password and when I came back to my computer—typing the same password I wrote on the received email— they told me I did something wrong. I don’t know why it won’t let me in which I want the developing team to fix because when I try to do it, they would either give me a new account (which I didn’t wanted) or I did something wrong with the signing in part.

Great concept, app is buggy and crashes. I came across Inkitt, but not being an online or techy type of a person I don’t like apps that require massive amounts of work to use. I find Inkitt right in the middle, fairly easy to use for this traditional writer. Having said that, I have found an issue. I uploaded my manuscript, did all the tags, genre info etc. and published, no problem. I went to edit tags, genre and when I opened the “more info” section - genre, age rating etc. the whole app crashes, and keeps crashing. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, rebooted and everything else I can think of but cannot find a solution. Any advice??

All stories. I have truly enjoyed being able to read all of the stories on Inkitt. I have read probably close to 600 at this time and the only problem that I have is that people who are writing from another language, trying to translate into English has some continuity problems, spelling problems and grammatical errors. Most of them I can overlook or I can understand what’s being said by reading the context that sometimes I can’t, and I think it would would be a great help to all of the riders to have someone who speaks English to edit is incorrect these problems that way their stories will be. Will be able to be read by anyone who speaks English I know this is maybe a picky point but I’ve had to discard some stories because of the errors that I have found that it is hard to punctuation isn’t a big deal to me, obviously, but spelling and using words that don’t fit the context our problem I want to enjoy all of the stories here and I want everyone story to be told here so if you could encourage someone to edit these stories, I would appreciate it that’s not all stories, but there have been quite a few that have been not that I didn’t go ahead and read them but it just didn’t add anything to the story, so please please encourage English reading editors so that everyone’s story can be read. Thank you.

Love the app. No ads is a big plus for me. There are NEVER any ads. It’s totally FREE. There are no promotions to buy a membership or spend money on better books. Everything on Inkitt is free and available to everyone. Anybody can write on the app so you do have to do some digging to find the good well written books, however since it is completely free and there are no ads I don’t mind digging through books and sorting out the amateurly written ones from the professional quality. My one request would be that they update the app and fix the recent bugs. The scrolling progress bar appearing in the middle of the text rather than on the far right side where it’s out of the way. The app crashing after each chapter or at other random times. These bugs are new but they’re very frustrating and I would greatly appreciate you making an update to the app just to fix those! Thanks!!

Love the app but there’s some problems. I love some features of this app like being able to leave and read reviews or the fact that every story is free. However, there’s some problems. 1.when I press the app it doesn’t immediately open-the screen goes black for about 5 seconds until the app opens.(not my phone’s fault as this only happens with Inkitt) 2. The app freezes a lot and I have to press multiple times for it to do what I want it to do. 3. When I go to the next chapter it often brings me back to the begging of the chapter I’d just read. 4. It isn’t really a problem but it could be good if the red circle in the notifications went away after you opened and reloaded all your notifications, instead of us having to click and open one of the notifications. 5. When somebody replies to my comment and I click the notifications, instead of it bringing me to my comment, it just opens the end of the comments section of whichever chapter and book it is.

Enjoyable With A Few Issues. I learned about Inkitt through an author I follow on WattPad. While I enjoy not having limitations on Inkitt and being able to find and read stories for mature audiences, whereas WattPad inhibits this, there are some issues. First off, I’m not getting notifications. I’ve checked everything within my devices settings; It’s the app. Then when you go into Inkitt and check notifications when someone posts a new chapter of a story, it says it’s unavailable, takes you to the beginning of the previous chapter, and you have to scroll down and click “next chapter” to read that new chapter. While it’s not a huge deal, it’s inconvenient. Also, discussions and comments on stories are hard to decipher. It’d be nice if what the person is commenting on was automatically quoted. All that said, I’d like to see some fixes, but it’s a good tool for readers and writers alike and I believe, due to issues I’ve seen develop on WattPad, that Inkitt is possibly more secure.

Great App but has issues. I love the stories! I usually do all my reading on this app, but it has bugs that I’ve been dealing with that a super irritating. Sometimes it’ll just completely cut off as I’m reading something and I’ll end up at my home screen. Another issue I’ve been having is that when I go to write comments on a chapter my keyboard will get in the way and I can’t submit and or see the things I’ve written to check for misspellings. There’s also the problem of when an author has an update on your news feed and I click it, it doesn’t take me to the new chapter, it takes me to the previous one. The biggest issue I am currently facing is every time I open the app it takes me back to whatever I read last, even after I exit out of the chapter and click on a different tab like discover it news and when I do try to go back the screen won’t load. So now I can’t see any of my updates of read anything new for that matter. I’m seriously thinking about deleting which is a shame because I love a lot of the stories on there.

Fixes to make app useful for visually impaired users. This app is not very accessible for visually impaired users who require using Apple’s VoiceOver function. Please make the necessary changes to allow us access to all the apps functions and tools. I love reading and very much enjoy this app but it needs to be a lot more visually impaired friendly. Please take my request into consideration because I'm positive I cannot be the only user with these issues and concerns. And in an attempt to brive you in to making the necessary adjustments for us, I provide the assurance that you will gain many if not hundreds more users with this issue being fixed and this app being at the visually impaired community's reach. I know I've recommended it to many of my acquaintances and friends and would be more than glad to keep spreading the word to other fellow reading enthusiasts. Thank you for taking the time to read this very long complaint/request. Hope to see changes soon and thank you for caring and creating a great platform for readers and writers alike.

I enjoy it but.... I haven’t been on this app long. I’ll be honest. I do love it and how simple it is to find books that I’ll enjoy and being able to read them any time. However, I don’t really like that I can’t swipe to the side instead of scrolling up. I also find it very annoying that every time I open a book, my phone tells me that in app purchases are not allowed. Considering the books are free to read, I find this very odd and it’s annoying to have that pop up every time I just want to read the book and have some headspace. I’m not saying this is something that changes my view on the app, but it is a little frustrating to deal with.

Great, but now it’s crashing.. I recently downloaded Inkitt and it is an amazingly good app for E-books, however just yesterday I updated the app and now every time I try to open it, it crashes. Now, my device is quite old, and it is very particular about how much memory can be taken up at any given time and still have things run smoothly, but I tried offloading all my other apps before trying again and it still crashed, please fix this, Inkitt is really quite nice, and I don’t want to have to delete it because it’s not working and I need to free up the memory that its using, I really do like the app, so please, PLEASE, FIX THIS! Sincerely, A Hopeful Bibliophile.

Very laggy on mobile. So I downloaded this app about a month or two ago and it worked just fine. I first started using it on my iPad, where it crashed almost instantly and I kept having to reopen it to start it again. I also cannot access any of the groups on mobile because it just turns to a blank white screen that I’m getting so sick of! On my computer, however, it seems totally and completely fine. It works well, and it’s easier to write the stories b/c you don’t need to download a completely different app for it(u have to on mobile). Anyways, it’s VERY laggy on mobile which is a problem that I think you should look into. I can barely post comments when I’m on mobile because my “submit” button will not work, I click it a lot and it still won’t submit my comment. What I’m trying to say is decent app, it’s nice and all, but it’s buggy.

Amazing!. Wow this app is amazing! I love that it’s free for anyone craving a good book or a good place to write. I also love how it’s not as censored as Wattpad like sometimes I want all the juicy details gory or romantic it’s all part of the adventure we follow along with the author! So thank you! As a new writer on Inkitt I can say though that the writing portion could use some adjustments I feel like if you’re a writer Wattpad is easier to use and more put together BUT that doesn’t mean you guys can’t get there eventually it just has a few bugs! Anyways thanks again I absolutely LOVE your app!🤍

Great stories, needs better navigation options. I’ve found a lot of great stories on this app, and I like that I can save them in my library, and look at the history of what I’ve checked out, in case you forgot to save something you want to go back to. But I really wish the search options could be improved. I would like to be able to filter my searches more. For instance, look only at completed stories, or filter out topics I’m not interest in (werewolves, for instance). Also, there should really be an option to look at all results, rather than being limited to “popular”, “new”, or “recently updated”. I don’t know if this is the right place to make these suggestions. I hope they end up being seen. Thanks to all of the authors for the great stories!

The app over all is great, recent bug however is not.. To be honest I prefer writing and reading on Inkitt as it seems to hold a far more mature audience and author base. However!! With this latest update I now seem to have a glitch that has ever book saying it only has one chapter and every story this past week or so that’s been updated and is in my notifications won’t load the new chapter, the page is blank if you click on it and if you click the drop bar to see the chapters, the new ones don’t even show up. I read and am following a lot of books... this week alone I’ve gotten over 15 updated chapters I’m craving to read but am unfortunately unable too and am stuck.. anyone know if this is getting worked or not?

Bad. I'm sorry to say that my experience with the Inkitt app has been extremely disappointing. I downloaded the app with high hopes of discovering some great new reads, but unfortunately, I have been unable to even access the app. Every time I try to open it, all I get is a black screen. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, as well as restarting my device, but nothing seems to work. I find it incredibly frustrating that I can't even get into the app to explore the content. As someone who loves to read, I was really looking forward to using Inkitt to discover new authors and stories, but this technical issue has completely ruined my experience. I'm extremely disappointed with the app and would not recommend it to anyone.

I love this reading app, but…. I really enjoy reading on this app a lot more than other reading apps, but the only thing that I don’t enjoy is the fact that I have to click on the story just to read the description of the story, and if the description is it giving me a lot of insight I have to read the story, but if I go further into the story is saves in to my reading history, even if I didn’t like it, and I have to take my time, go back and delete it out of my history just read another story. But I do love that it’s free. I don’t have to pay any money to remove ads or to continue reading and that is what I enjoy the most. I would just love it if you guys were able to make a description section so that way we can read the description and see if we like it or not. It would just save. But for all the authors riders on the app, a lot of the stories the majority of the stories are absolutely amazing. I haven’t found one yet that I do not like. Keep up the good work and thank you for your time.

I love this app there’s just a few glitches. So I love Inkett and have been on it a while but lately there’s been some lagging. Like I’ll be reading and get to read a couple chapters but then the next time I hit next chapter, the chapter won’t load and only will display the title. I’ve closed the app, restarted my phone, gone to different WiFi’s and tried data, and even deleted the app and got it again but every few chapters it won’t load until I delete the app and reinstall it. This is really frustrating because I love Inkett but it’s really annoying to have to go through that process just to read a couple chapters.

Portrait is why I don’t used this. I don’t know why I got this … to read or write but either one is impossible with only portrait mode. I bought a wonderful keyboard a few months ago that I love- it’s even better than Grammerly (and works with Grammerly for checking my text) but my iPad works in landscape. Sure, I could fiddle with it and not have my iPad attached to the keyboard but I shouldn’t have to do that, should I? I read constantly and have a Kindle full of books but I’m always looking for more. It’s a pity Inkitt is so limiting. If I can have Alexa read the stories it’s only half limited because it still doesn’t solve the writing problem.

Love this app, though it could be better. At the rate I go through books, it’s great to have a whole extensive library. It has everything, and I mean everything for anyone. I do wish that it would recommend books based on what you’ve already read. Also would be nice if they would caution readers about books that have been “offline” for an extended period of time. Nothing is more frustrating than really getting into a book just to have it end unfinished and the author hasn’t touched it in over a year. It does have it on the bottom, but maybe move it up top so it’s right in a reader’s face. Or move them to a different category?

HAS AMAZING POTENTIAL BUT.... There are a few things I would like to voice. When I @ my readers who are commenting on my book, It would be easier if the suggestions for @ names would pop up, like wattpad so to speak. Also commenting on sections (paragraphs) individually would be helpful as well, feedback and general interaction means a lot to me. It helps me improve my writing skills and connect with the community. Lastly EDITING. I can’t edit my book when using the mobile version which is CRUCIAL. The access from the app is easier compared to going online and re-logging in when I already have the app version on my phone. Thank you. I love inkitt because you don’t limit us, but I also need reassurance that these errors can be fixed.

I love this app. Inkitt is really great for authors and writers. They respond well to any concerns readers and writers have and they actually do what needs to be done instead of waiting around like Wattpad. Inkitt is safer for writers as well since they combat any sort of plagiarism unlike Wattpad. The writing lay out isn’t complicated. Inkitt has clear guidelines for everyone to follow and they email you letting you know if you aren’t following some. The only thing I complain about (and why it hasn’t got the 5 stars) is because the IOS app still has a long way to go with giving notifications for anything you write or read. It’s also hard to see the full reviews of your work. So if you want all that you’ll need to go to the web page because you can see and do everything easily there. Other than that it’s a great app and you should definitely try out

Good app but one issue. I’m really liking the app and I’ve been using the wattpad app since 2013 but got annoyed with the ads. I’m currently flip flopping between the two but there’s one issue with the Inkitt app. I can’t add books into reading lists. I’m going to mess around with it a bit more but I like to keep my books organized or else I get the issue that I’m having with my wattpad account which is hundreds of books half finished and most can go into my “didn’t like not finishing” reading list. The look of the app is really nice though I do wish you could comment on each paragraph and then take out the lists of comments at the end of the chapter (I have it in page flipping format).

Inkitt. Please help me, I have this app on a different device and I really wanted to download it on this device and whenever I try to open Inkitt it opens BUT it brings me to a black screen and I can’t use Inkitt! In my opinion Inkitt is a great app and I recommend it to people who like to read romance and things like that because I also use it but I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem with Inkitt so please help! I also have this problem now that whenever I confirm my e-mails, and reload Inkitt, it always says, ‘Confirm your e-mail!’ I already confirmed it 100,000,000 times but it’s never working!!! And I NEED to confirm my e-mail because I’m tryna write a new romance story and it doesn’t work because it doesn’t allow me to save the summary!. PLUS I really wanna follow this amazing author!

Great app! some issues!. First, Inkitt has been a god sent! I love the catalogue and the fact that it is quality stories for no cost. I have been a Wattpad reader ever since before the design and price changes and I have to search in the nooks and crannies to find a quality book that is free! But Inkitt has it all I look for in a reading app in one place! But the only shortcoming is the layout. Now the layout is horrible there’s waaaay too many things trying to be crammed on one home screen and none of the pictures see conclusive, they just seem to fade. I would suggest a way to organize it to make it more user friendly and another is the FONT. PLEASE CHANGE THE FONT or give us an option to change it when we read because the current one is very hard to see and especially against the stark white background! But other than those simple design issues 10/10 app! I would definitely recommend!

Good app 👍. I gave feedback in-app but I think I’d like to retract what I said there. The search feature is good actually. I would like to be able to exclude tags from search results though, because it seems no matter what I search, I will always get mafia romance in the results lol 😭 I would also still appreciate if it would give me slightly more specific results (IE if I search for #dystopian #romance I’m gonna get a lot of non-romance books, so it seems like romance is a light suggestion lol) But the search feature isn’t useless at all, and does still take romance into account for example lol. Would like the possibility of making tags required or optional if that makes sense, but it’s still quite usable without such a feature. I apologize for my confusion in my in-app feedback, I’d just woken up in the middle of the night and wasn’t 100% I do also want to say that I love the content warning feature. That kind of thing is what other apps like Wattpad are incredibly lacking in. SO MANY people have stories about being traumatized as kids from surprise bad stuff like r*pe in stories, and I’ve personally dropped several good books because of surprise triggers, so the ability to hide stories with your specific content warnings is very very appreciated. It’s always very sad for me when I can’t manage to continue a book that I’ve already come to like :( I’ll likely be using Inkitt more often going forward. Much love.

Love the app but not the update. I love Inkitt and the app, but unfortunately my iPad hates the update from Aug.3. If I use the search feature to search for a specific book and open it, the book may stay open for all of 20 seconds until the app closes itself. I reopen the app and the book should be there where I left off but alas it isn't, I'm stuck in the never ending loop of searching finding and then shutting down. This also happens when I read updated books from my library. It's extremely annoying. Before anyone asks, yes I've deleted and reinstalled the app, all with no luck. If not for this problem I'd rate 5 stars.

App is weird. I learned of Inkitt through authors on Wattpad, and I was excited to use it as a new source of stories. At first the app ran smoothly and I had no problems reading my stories and changing chapters through the menus. However, after a few weeks the app became sort of unresponsive and when I tried to access the menu the app refused to open it. There are also times where the app randomly decides to open the menu and display all the information and I’m not able to close it. The app would be great if those issues could be fixed, since the selection of stories available are pretty solid. However, the problems with the app’s issues have really ruined the experience for me.

Solid. I’m an inkitt writer who started on wattpad but wanted to branch out. Being so familiar with one app I was scared and hesitant. I like things to be familiar. The inkitt writing app is helpful if you are constantly writing, but it is not necessary. You can edit your works inside the app as well which I appreciate because I enjoy both reading and writing and I would hate to HAVE to switch between apps but here I have the choice. I still use it for when I have a lot of work to do because it is more writing focused. There are a lot of community options and people to interact with. I’m still not totally familiar with it, but over all very pleased so far with how well it works and the fact that my books are being recommended to people, despite them being brand new and having few readers. I will continue to write on the app and read others works

Interesting app and company. The concept is a community of writers and readers - with a publishing company in the background. Writers offer their books for free due to the publishing company offering potential incentives such as cash for competitions and a potential publishing deal to books that get read to completion the most with good reviews. Readers get free books (awesome), writers get an engaging audience (fantastic), and the publishing company receives a pool of manuscripts with data attached- like how interested the community is in the book (fantastic)! Win, win, win! At least that is my understanding of the app and company thus far. Please feel free to check out my YA fantasy novel on the app - Cloud Shifters!

Unfinished story’s or story’s that are not getting updated. There are thousands of story’s on Inkitt but there’s ones who don’t update they’re storys for months if not years and they just sit there I’m just saying maybe Inkitt needs to give people who have not complete there book and not updating for very long periods of time a warning that they should update or maybe take the book off of Inkitt bc I kno from personal experience that start to read a good juicy book and then finding out the author doesn’t update it really kills the mood and makes me not even want to read on Inkitt anymore

Not much to not like. I enjoy reading on this app and I enjoy most of the books I’ve found but I do have a few adjustments for the app that could be made. These could be pet peeves of mine but I’d really like to be able to flip the pages in the books instead of having to scroll and I don’t like the layout of the books when they’re in your library, I find it easier if they’re in columns or rows and for some way/notification on the book itself to see when its updated. I’d also like a way to be able to easily find completed/good books. I’ve found some gems but only when I search deep and for awhile. Other than these things that I’d change I enjoy reading with Inkitt, I think it’s a great app that gives writers good opportunities.

Fix your algorithms!!!. I love this app. I really do. I love it so much that I’ve read just about every single story on the popular and new pages. However, when I search for new books by genre, the same list of books pop up. Now I read a lot. I can finish a 500 page book in a day. That being said, I am searching for something new to read everyday, if not multiple times a day. I’m losing hope that there is even anything new on the site for me to even read. Please refresh your algorithms so that I can see new stories and new things. Not being able to see the page count of each story on the app before I click into it, is frustrating. Something with 30 chapters that’s complete can be misleading. Most of the time, those books average about two hundred to three hundred pages, or even one hundred. I’d like to be able to see how many pages are in the book before so that I don’t accidentally cause the app to crash like it has so many times before.

love this app... but have suggestions. I truly love this app and use it all the time. However, I would really like there to be a way to remove stories from my "news" section. Perhaps I am missing it but stories that I have either read or sometimes just opened are giving me notifications on my "news" feed every time there is an update. There are two particular authors who "update" the same poorly written stories over and over so I am getting 30ish notifications every day. Please allow for me the choice to remove unwanted authors and stories from my "news" feed. Horizontal reading on an ipad would be beneficial to some as well. Thanks and sorry to criticize!

Crashing. The app was working fine but i had to delete it for a few hours and when i reinstalled it the app wouldnt get past the logo without crashing. I restarted my phone after reinstalling it about 5 times and it still not working, after i restarted my device it worked for a short at most 3 mins before crashing while i was reading mid sentence and is now back to crashing after the logo appears. I wouldnt be so upset about this if the author of the book would just upload the rest of the book on the app (i will not name it) that she started the book on in the first place. Still very dissapointing no matter the situation that the app is made for people to enjoy their favorite novels and the app cant even do simply what it is made to do. Please fix this problem!

In need of more advanced tools. I love the app it not only allows me to read more stories but more Mature ones that wattpad started to take down or made it difficult for some authors. The only issues I have are that there are no previous chapter button, I hate when I accidentally press next chapter or I forget what happens and instead of swiping or pressing something I have to go to the chapters and slide down to the I want, I’m not sure if it’s available on desktop but I personally don’t like reading on a computer so even if it was it wouldn’t benefit me The next problem I have is when searching for new stories to read there are no filters that can have you choose “Completed” or not, sometimes I don’t want to read unfinished books my patience can’t handle sometimes.

Inkitt. IM IN LOVE! Everyday I look forward to opening up Inkitt to see what’s new and what I’ll enjoy. This is one of my top 5 go to apps every single day. I love to read and I have other reading apps but this is probably my top favorite one to open up. If your a reader from Wattpad, Inkitt is very similar except it’s mainly just different writers. Another is there is no Beta Program blocking’s you from reading anything that you would have to pay for. I found Inkitt after reading some comments on Wattpad and fell in love with this App. Both I recommend and a lot of my friends would agree I just think I love Inkitt even more.

Maybe user error?. Fantastic app but I was wondering if there is anyway of horizontal reading. I swear I looked it up to see if I was just dumb and couldn’t find it but if there isn’t a way to read horizontally this would be a good option to add if possible. I use my iPad horizontally constantly and it’s kind of annoying to have to turn it vertical when I’m jumping between a video and reading. This has also held me back from really using this app. Also would be nice is if books had the ability to show they are finished or completed like in Wattpad (if these are all features already and I’m just dumb I apologize I obviously haven’t used the app much to figure everything out but, I also figured my five star review would just help instead of hinder). Thanks!

Too many glitches and horrible contact support. I have tried to write newer books but the glitches made it impossible. I would try to copy and paste it over from other apps I publish on and it would put text over text while also not showing the full text I copied. It would delete when I closed out the chapter. I can’t even delete the book entirely after I made a new one. I have emailed the app months ago and I heard back from someone, I forget who, but they asked me to send information like my phone type and version of the app. After I told them, they said they will contact me back after they fixed the issue and I haven’t heard from them since. I deleted the app after that seeing how I couldn’t write on it. I just got it back and it’s STILL doing the same exact glitch. It’s irritating and a waste of time. There are plenty of other writing apps that are better.

Really good app but…. Really good app i’m a big book worm and love having a change from wattpad but there’s a lot that needs to be worked on with Inkitt. 1 my notification history keeps updating me on books i’m not longer reading and can’t delete the notification. 2 i need to know how lidar i am in the chapter or sometimes the app could crash and i now have to scroll quickly in the chapter to get back to my spot. 3 i love added multiple books in my library at once then picking which one to start first i would love it more if i didn’t have to go inside the story just to add it then go back to add another. All in all i love the app but with me having this app 2+ years and nothing has changed it’s still the exact same app from when i first downloaded it i doubt it will start taking suggestions now.

Irritated. NEVER write directly on the site. I feel dumb for saying it, but if your device glitches and you loose that 900+ word chapter you’ve worked weeks on, there is no way to recover it. Write your work in Google docks or Office and upload it. Save yourself some grief. Also, I don’t know if I’ve just become a pickier reader, but a lot of new material on here seems to be made by people who only have a tenuous grasp on the rules of writing. It used to be that new authors had to pass a quality control period before being allowed to post. I’m not sure if Inkitt has stopped doing that, or if the standards have been lowered, but it’s irritating to try and decipher what people are actually trying to say instead of being able to just enjoy a story.

New Update. The overall app is really good. I like the adverse book genres. I also like how you can start up your own righting fantasy’s for free. Another thing I like about this app is that it’s all free. However, something in the past I really enjoyed was that you could read offline, that is currently unable with the new update. Which I find to be a big let down. I enjoyed reading my favorite books on the go, wether it was with or without internet and with the current update it does not allow such. The app is overall really good and it really allows you too find the perfect book. It allows you too also find a book that you might have never even thought to look at. The only complaint is that I wish they kept the off internet availability.

Great app and totally free!!!. I have read some reviews and seen people mention having problems with stories or the app. I would like to say I am using the app on my iPhone 6 and it works great! I have had no issues whatsoever, it’s not slow, doesn’t crash, and I love that you can read these stories for free!!! I have used good novel and a few other apps that have great books but you end up spending more money to read those books then you would in real life, I would know cause I have been suckered into it a few times. Luckily I came across a book series on her that I have fallen in love with, and have enjoyed waiting for the author to write and post her chapters, cause she is very good at doing it regularly! If you love to read I really suggest trying this app!!

I love it but a couple things.... So far I am enjoying Inkitt and the books that are on the platform. However, there are couple things I’ve noticed that could use some fixing. For some reason, the paging is a little off when I’m moving on to a new chapter, sometimes it will bring me back a chapter or even more than just one. Another thing I would suggest, please show me my progress in my books in the library. It confuses me when I’m trying to figure out which books I’ve already read. Just a side note as well, it would be helpful if there was a way to know if an author updated a book so I could continue it. Other than that, it’s pretty great so far. :)

Easy to use, great stories to be found!. So far, I love Inkitt. I followed a favorite emerging author, Stephanie Light, to the platform. I love the ease of the subscription service and that this platform seems to be doing right by the authors. I don’t have many technical issues and it’s easy to control my settings on the app regarding notifications and set up. Subscription was easy and comes out each month with no hiccups. I haven’t had to deal with customer service thus far which in and of itself is great. Thanks for a great platform!!

Convenience. This app has made my life a little easier when it comes to finding new books online. I usually have to use my internet to find new books to read, but having to keep so many tabs open just to remember which ones I wanted to read and going to multiple sites is annoying after a while. I love using this app because I can just open and close it and keep reading when I want. I also like that it gives you the option to download the stories you’re reading and it keeps track of your history.

Love, Love, Love Inkitt. I am brand new to Inkitt I have only been here for 2-3 days now. I do believe that I have been blessed for I have not run into any of the issues some of the other readers have. I can not begin to tell you how happy I am that I get to read these books straight through instead of being stopped after each chapter and made to wait for hours to finish the stories. I am an avid reader since being here I have finished 4 books and am currently reading 4 others, I would probably be done with them as well if their stories were finished. I am so thankful for this platform, thank you.

I love it, but some issues.. I came from Wattpad because most of the authors have moved onto this site, at first I like it, a lot. But now i’m having issues. First of all, when I hit “next chapter” it’ll be bring me back to the current chapter I am and have to scroll all the way down and hit the next button all over again to move onto the next chapter. I also would like a different lay out of my library. It’s hard to navigate, columns or rows would be nicer then sliding side to side. I’m also having trouble removing books I’ve already finished or started and aren’t gonna read anymore out of my library. Please fix some of these things! I really love the books and authors on here and would hate to find another app!

Current reads sect. & switching from on phone and computer. I have a problem with how the current reads section is set up. I have a hard time figuring out which one has been updated. (I know it says which one in the tab that is notifications but it’d be helpful here as well.) It shows which book that you’re currently reading vertically and shows (too many) recommendations underneath, but it doesn’t show that there has been a portion updated on any of them. If you were to show just the current reads and the update status on each of the books horizontally with more detail it would be easier to go back to another book that you were reading in the past and read the updated parts. Kinda like how Wattpad has theirs set up but in your own way per se? On another note! I also have noticed that when I am reading on my phone and want to continue reading a book on my computer it looses where I was at. Either completely starting from the beginning of the book or from the beginning of the page that I am on.

Love the site, hate the app. Alright, I love love love the stories on the Inkitt site, and I love that (as of June 2020) the stories are free (one of the reasons I stopped using Wattpad is that it was a free space for authors to share their work when I started and then slowly started adding monetization, even without the knowledge or consent of the authors and without paying the authors for the ads they were placing on our stories without us allowing them to) HOWEVER this app is a MESS. It glitches all the time, randomly freezes, goes black, shuts down. It takes forever to load anything and it’s incredibly hard to find stories aside from the same 5 that the app seems to always have in the recommended for you section. I’d love to read more, but can’t find any stories I haven’t read. Now I don’t know if it’s because there aren’t any more stories on the site in the genres and tags that I’m searching or if it’s bc of some algorithm that makes it hard to find them. I’m going to give reading online a try, simply because I am so frustrated with this app lately that I just don’t even want to use it anymore.

Mostly good…. I love the app and the layout of the site. I just wish there was some way of knowing what’s happening with stories after they’ve been submitted. I sent my first submissions in nearly two weeks ago, and so far the only views are from a staff member. Does that mean my stories have been approved and no one’s read them, or they haven’t been approved yet? *shrug* I’m completely in the dark, and unsure whether it’s worth submitting further work. I’ve tried contacting the team, but get no answer.

Can’t link Facebook and inkitt. Okay so I have been on this app for a long time and recently got a new phone. For my profile I linked it through Facebook, when it came time to login after downloading on my new phone I can not link them together and I had so many good stories on there

Alright now that I have been able to load the app. Update - after updating my iPad and with a bit of patience I was able to get the app to load, but when i want to read at night I am unable to select the nightowl option as it is off screen. Downloaded the app and when I open it I can read the intro pages and thats all I can do with it.

Books freezing. This week all the books that I try to read freeze, I get through a few chapters and then can’t finish the books, it’s becoming very frustrating

Amazing app. I love this app I really can’t explain it’s really like a shining star in black sky means it’s free between very expensive apps I cannot afford those apps but it’s not only free but entertaining too I have no other words 😊

Love reading. I love reading new stories from up and coming authors and this app does it pretty well. The only down side which is getting very annoying to the point where I don’t want to use this app anymore is the constant crashing all the time. It sometimes won’t even allow me to open the app no matter how many times I delete the app and reinstall it.

Love this App. I absolutely love this app. I have 4 or 5 reading apps which I hardly ever use. Inkitt is my go to app for reading and in my opinion is the best and definitely my favourite, extremely easy to use follow and organise especially love the reading list great idea. I’m so glad I found you guys ❤️. There are some amazing story writers out there so thank you Inkitt for sharing them with us.

I love the app but here’s a problem... For a few days I’ve been working on a story but the thing is is that all my chapters I’ve worked hard on hasn’t been saving even though I’ve been saving them. every. single. time. and it’s causing me to stress out cause it feels like I’ve wasted my time on nothing. Please help :(

Drops out 😤😤😤😤. Use to Drops out when changing chapters but would be fine once reopened (while highly annoying still doable) but lately it’s continually dropping out (every single time) so it now unusable/unreadable! Fix this bug please because before this I was loving this app

Doesn’t load after login. I wanted to give this app a try, but I couldn’t because nothing past the login page would load. Yes, I was connected to the internet and it was functioning just fine, and the problem was not resolved. Tried again with mobile data, no changes. And no, I don’t have an account—I find it foolish to sign up for something that doesn’t guarantee to work properly or be enjoyable. You don’t get that problem with print material so I expect it to be no different with digital content. Either way, please fix your app. I will consider changing my rating if you do.

Great place for stories. Don’t get me wrong, Inkitt is awesome. I love that I’m able to read stories by upcoming authors, download them for offline reading and potentially see the stories be published by the Inkitt Team themselves. Now, a question. Do I have to re-download my stories every time there’s an update? I’m asking because I downloaded a story before the update, but when I did it and opened the same story, grey lines appeared instead of the text. When I reopened the app online, it took me back to the start of it. Some suggestions - I know the app automatically saves my position, but can you please add bookmarks? I like to skim ahead and would love to be able to get back to where I was. Also, blurbs. Half the time, I do not know what type of story I’m getting based on the short descriptions (which are usually the first few lines of the story) supplied. Maybe make it so the authors have to write a blurb before they publish? That would make it easier to find other stories in a series too.

Inkitt. Inkitt is a great app for aspiring authors. It provides great potential to all writers. Inkitt is also great for readers as it has thousands of books, sure to have all your favourite genres!

Love it. I really like this app as it allows me to read stories that others have written and are passionate about. It gives me inspiration in my own amateur writing and hope that i may one day put my writing on something similar.

Great app but...... I really love the app but this drains sooo much battery power and the other thing that could do with some fixing up is the search function when looking for keywords

Love it, though it does drain the battery. It would be amazing if there was a battery saving option or something as I like to take my iPad on trips to read. I came from wattpad but didn’t like how it only allowed users to save two books without premium, but it also didn’t use up the battery it making it last a couple of days without charging. I have found with Inkitt after a few hours my battery percentage is very low. Don’t know if it is possible but I would love if it can be developed into the software. Still love the app though!

great but... inkitt is absolutely amazing, i’ve been able to publish my first book ever, the thing is, i wish there was a “dark mode” option for the main menu and stuff not just when reading the story because i usually have my brightness down but the screen is still very bright..other than that, i definitely recommend inkitt for aspiring writers or people who are looking for more books to read! -chloe <3

Good reads. Good app for reading some new and original content. Definitely an app for the bookworms or those just wanting something quiet and immersive to escape to.

Love it. This is a great way to read up and coming authors and their is so many different types of books to read the only thing i wish is that u could read more

It’s amazing!. I love it so much it is so cool I can write my stories and it is pretty much like Wattpad which is my favourite app ever!

Good but crashes often.... Awesome app, once you get used to the layout it’s amazing! I’m hoping to get my book published, it would be a dream come true but I know it’s a long shot and to compensate I’m putting my blood, sweat and tears into it. One issue! It crashes after about a minute or two whenever I open it. I can do stuff until it crashes and it saves but it’s super annoying so please try to fix this ASAP! - eirinnobrien (my Wattpad account)

A readers delight. l've been using this app for over 18 months and love it! It has a wide range of genres and l am more than happy to write a review for what l read. There are some fantastic writers publishing here and l only hope they keep on going😁

Needs a lot of work. It’s hard to find stories & even harder to see if the story is finished before you start reading as most of the story don’t get updated for months or never. So you either waste your time looking for a story or getting into a story that never gets update. Inkitt need to put a lot of work into the app to make it easier for people to use..

Turns off. I love Inkitt, it’s a great story. However, it keeps getting out of the app every few seconds. This is really annoying as I cannot actually read anything.

Freezing. Love the app but updated today and now the whole app has frozen and I cannot get onto anything it’s just blank screens…

Review. Really good app if your looking for some stuff to read and some place to write but the only thing I don’t like is it says offline reading but it doesn’t load offline. Other than that it’s a great app!

🥰. I love Inkitt the only problem I have is I keep getting kicked off and it’s so frustrating! Some days are worse then others, could you please fix this problem!

So many issues. Doesn’t save any of my data. According to the app I haven’t read anything. When I follow an author and leave the app, when I go back in I have to follow them again. When I finish a book it doesnt add it to my read list it just says continue reading. Overall not a great experience with the app.

UX needs to be improved. I can’t deny this app has a lot of potential. The quality of stories is significantly better than other apps like Wattpad and Radish and the interface is nice. however the ux is horribly bad and has gotten worse over the years. There’s so many glitches when opening up stories on the app or in the inbox widget where you face a 10s delay or you don’t get automatic refresh when you go in and out of the app. The worse is the constant app crashes that cause you to have to restart a chapter or lose your story. It’s a painful user experience tbh.

Amazing app but can be better. I actually quite like this app, I find it extremely simple to use and I love the fact that it has things such as groups or contests that assist a person’s work in becoming recognised. One thing I really wish that this app could have though, is the ability to edit/write your novel on rather than just on desktop. Also, a paging option for reading would be lovely but other than those two things, this app is my favourite and I recommend it to anyone who adores reading and writing.

No Reply From Inkitt. In October 2022, I submitted two requests to Inkitt asking them to explain why they refused to publish a book by my favourite author, I will not mention the book title or author’s name, as I didn’t get their permission at the time when writing this review. I advise this author to join Inkitt, thinking that their gay themed books would be gladly accepted, but they were denied without an explanation. The reason I am doing this review, it’s to tell Inkitt how disappointment i am, neither of my requests received a reply from Inkitt, it feels as if they don’t care, or just couldn’t be bothered replying, my requests obviously wasn’t important enough for them to waist their time in replying. I am just disappointed because I have been on other platforms, and when putting in a request, I always received a reply within a 24 hours. Hopefully others are lucky enough to get a reply when putting in a request with Inkitt.

Writing bug. On my laptop when I go to write, the writing bar will keep reverting back to the top, so as I write, it will start writing back at the top and leave me frustrated because I continuously have to click back to where I was. Although the app is great, this is a problem for me and it makes me start to dislike the app. :(

My favourite App. I am so happy to have discovered this App. I LOVE to read but with three small kids I never get the time to pick up a book. With this App I can read books anywhere and anytime! 3am feeding the baby? No worries! I can read to keep me awake. Inkitt has also fuelled my desire to get back into writing. I have finally started writing a novel and people are actually reading it AND enjoying it! Thank you so much!!!!

Can’t access the discovery popular page. Love the app but i have been having problems viewing the popular page in the discovery sector... I don’t know if it just me or general problem, I have uninstalled and reinstalled still the same problem.... am giving 3 stars

I’m probably being dramatic but... I put out a story on the app and it has to be approved by an editor on the app if it can be featured on the home feed page so people can see it and decide if they would like to read. the one book i put up had the sideways heart to ‘page break’ the chapter scenes, and they changed it 😭 like ;-; that was for the story! it was apart of the theme and i’m not allowed to use it?! my other book has a cute pretty asterisk, one of the fancy ones and apparently that’s okay. and with the other book for some reason the editor decided to publish a chapter, which i was not ready to publish at all yet. i just think it’s rude to do those things without my knowledge and then tell me the reasons through email later. they could’ve told me and i would’ve done it myself and been fine with it.

Review. I love how can I read so many stories and archived them to read it again if I want to.

Great content, horrible app. While I adore the stories that can be found on the app, with its great selection and even better formatting; I absolutely DESPISE the app at the moment. Not only does it constantly glitch, where it will go out of the app, skip chapters and go back, not let you scroll (THE LIST GOES ON), honestly it seriously needs some development, it creates an unreadable platform. However, quite seriously, as soon as this pretty big issue is resolved the app would be pretty much perfect.

Fantastic. The lay out is amazing, I spend basically all day, every day, browsing, reading, even writing. It is a really positive platform, supported me and gave me the confidence to pursue writing. Thank you very much for that.

It great but there are some glitches. I love inkitt, but now I go on it and after a while it’s kick me out and it only happens when I’m on inkitt. There are some glitches that you will have to fix. But overall I love this app.

Need another update. Great app. My app is fully up to date but when in reading a chapter and get out of the app and back in it puts me straight back to chapter one no matter what book I’m reading. PLEASE FIX

Disappointing. I downloaded this app to read a specific book I had seen advertised on social media. Not sure what’s going on but there is only one chapter so far. What’s the point of a book I can’t read. Very frustrating. Is this the same for all the books here Don’t think there is a point to this app

Second Chance. This is the first story I read and I fully enjoyed and cannot wait to read more. Hope the author will update it soon. It is great you can read stories without any micro transaction and show all the talented authors.

Feedback. I love the app, but I found out that it hard for me to go to the previous chapter, and can you please add the auto scrolling so that I can read when my hand not free?

Good choice for authors and readers. I haven’t been using this app that long but I’m already in love with it. Most of the stories that are published here are the highest quality ones. It also helps me, as an author to develop my writing skill better, by having a proper discussion with the community. So I would absolutely recommend this app!

Great App, with a few issues.. I like the idea behind this app, I’m a massive fan of Wattpad, which is similar, but I appreciate Inkitt supporting its writers. Unfortunately, for me, this app has become almost unusable. It crashes constantly. I’m using an iPhone X, with the most updated iOS (11.2.5), and yet the crashing is just getting worse. Originally it was only crashing after 15mins or so, now, it probably crashes 3 times a minute! I also wouldn’t mind a page turning feature (instead of just scrolling) similar to the way page turning works on an eReader (kindle etc.) however this wouldn’t affect my overall enjoyment for the app, it’s just a preference! Sorry if this already exists somewhere I can’t find, the crashing has become to frequent to look for it!

Good Browsing. Character build ups are interesting and storylines flow pretty well. Love reading these to get my mind off reality.

I LOVE THIS. I love writing and reading new stories, and Inkitt makes that possible. I’m able to write new stories and read stories from other people. I love how easy it is to create your own stories and how easy it is to give feedback to the authors about their stories. I would totally recommend this to anyone!

Amazing app for reading. There aren’t any comics but the books are very good , I love this app it is great for children the age of 10 and above!

Best reading app. For a free reading app am surprised by the variety of genres and stories that are available to read. Also love that first time authors are given the opportunity to write. Thank you.

Amazing app. I love this app so much i have it on my phone and ipad. Whenever i have freetime i am on this app. Its an amazing app with a great variety of stories (although i tend to stick to romance, drama, and werewolf stories). Every genre has more than one option, such as romance, you can read soulmates, abuse, teen love, and so much more. I have told almost every single one of my friends about this app. Well done to the creators and authors! 😁👍🏻 if i could i would guve this way more than 5 stars.

Great but. This app is really great and all but, I always have trouble with getting my account. My account is ShadowWolfie and I do the same things, put in my email and the password for my user but i just can’t log in

Ux/ui. Works great, love the social aspect of the app. It just there’s a few design issues, could you adjust the leading (space between the lines) and make it more spacious? The current text is really tight and clustered, really hard to read for a long time. Font weight is not consistent ( I read in vietnamese and some special letters have different weights). Also how do I add a story into my reading list? Can’t figure out how to do it… and what’s the difference between currents read and history…

Login Issues. It won't let me log in, which is weird because I have an account on the Inkitt writing app, but it can't log in to that account.

Needs an update. Like most people I found this app during quarantine and it has been phenomanal. However it crashes so often I can’t even read a chapter of a story. When there’s an update that fixes this issue my rating will definitely be much higher

Variety is great. Most novels are well done. A few have felt a little rushed. Great app

Love it. Love being able to read all the different books love the work put in to work it but needs a update or something as it keeps crashing

Doesn’t work. I have deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times, updates my phone but it’s still not working. Just goes black, have never been able to access the app

Great App. By far one of the best reading applications I’ve ever used… highly recommend

Doesn’t work. I was looking forward to using this app but it crashes every time I try a book

Support for this app. Please support this app to be perfectly compatible with VoiceOver for blind people to read. thank you very much.

Needs work.. Inkitt, not just as an app but as a platform, leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to creators. Firstly: there are two separate apps you need if you are an author. Last I recall, you cannot write from this app; you need the Inkitt Writing app to publish from mobile. This is arguably a functionality that, for ease of use, should be in the main app. The second thing to bring up is community, or lack thereof. In a single month I had 3 readers. I struggled to find accounts to follow, and posting in any of the fanfiction groups was nothing short of a joke. There is little to no community on the app. It took 6 months for me to have one reader even leave any information on my story, and they were forced to reach out over Facebook as I had abandoned updating on Inkitt. Truth be told, until these features are done better, and in particular don’t require two separate apps to use the platform on mobile, it appears to be worthless as a platform to post my content on. I really don’t recommend it for writers, although it may still be okay from a reader perspective.

Great overall. Wonderful app but definitely need to fix the notifications system: I never get alerted when a story I saved get updated unless the author post about it on their wall.

Galatea. I love the Inkitt app but my Galatea app keeps shutting down. Very upsetting.

Keep crashing with iOS 14.5. I have been using this app for a while now but with iOS 14.5, App keep crashing. Uninstalling and re-installation didn’t work

Not able to do anything. Just downloaded this app. Tried to do a log in and screen went black. Deleted app and reloaded it. Still a black screen.

Love It 👍. This Is a really cool app. I love it, but I have one question for the developer. Where do I see how many people read my story❓

Awesome Sauce. Love this app! It has so many different kinds of stories and fandoms and honestly there’s something for everyone. There’s not even a wait period for chapters, which I absolutely love! Would definitely recommend this app to anyone who is looking for new, interesting and exciting stories!

Awesome!. This app is great, I absolutely loved many of the stories on there!

I loved this app up until it stopped working. Unfortunately my app froze mid story. I tried deleting and re-downloading multiple times and it just won’t work.

For the ppl who get their screen frozen.. Uninstall the app or update your I phone :) Good reading app I love it!

Love the app. I’ve been using Inkitt for couple years now and I see improvement, I like that stories is updated always, but they need to work more on Classification to show not only type but author too. I would like to see a title on top of page for that.

Wattpad. pls😭 I’m slowly moving from wattpad to here because they wanna remove all the nsfw stories 😭 bout to lose 90% of their audience 🙄

Inkitt. Love this site. It has been such a great help with this covid 19. Great job and thank you. 👌

App won't open. Doesn't even work

Frozen— Can’t use anymore. While reading, the app randomly froze on the page and now I can’t use it at all anymore :(

Good but needs improvements. For a writing app that I can’t use on a phone or tablet flipped sideways is annoying. And I can’t find anywhere on the app how to add stories to my reading list the way I do the website. But I love the data base of authors and suggestions.

Last Looked At. A last looked at section would help a lot because when I’m looking at a book and forget to download it, I can never find it again because I tend to forget the title. Please consider.

Great stories but keeps crashing. While I love the stories which have been wonderful to read during COVID, I’ve been more and more frustrated at how often it crashes. So I’m giving it only 3 stars for now- would give 5 if it stopped crashing!

Great. But I don’t like the chapter updates. It’s a great app. And it generally really easy to find stories suited for you. However, it’s really annoying to click on a chapter update and see the END of the chapter first 🙃 So many spoilers I’ve seen!

Great. It is a great app but it needs to be fixed, it keeps exiting every five minutes...

Good selection of books but you can’t read many at once. I really like the selection of books but the amount of points that you can earn isn’t enough. I think I will enjoy it for a while but I don’t see myself using it long term as I enjoy binge reading. One suggestion is that readers earn points for every chapter they read and the points increase if they read X amount of chapters in a specific time span.

Keeps crashing during reading. I just bought a brand new iPhone and downloaded inkitt. Reading is fine but it keeps getting stuck on chapters and I can’t move on. I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app multiple times through one book. Tried a diff book and the same thing happens. I have to redo my settings each time I have to uninstall. This did not happen on my Samsung. Can you send please fix!

A gem of an reading app. Being on the road and needing my luggage to be as light as possible is primordial. Enters Inkitt... no worries about having a few bulky books in my bag. No lagging of the stories I want to read offline. So far the storyline have been riveting and I do not regret my choice of app. I can download a few books and read them on the go without needing any wifi hotspots which is wonderful. I call it my Brain Candy

My app crashes. I love this app but I am giving it two stars as my app keeps crashing as I am trying to read. It never used to do this and it ruins the experience.

Crashes so much. The longer the story, the more the app will freeze and crash.

Very good app. At the moment am in love with this app easy to use and great 😊😊

Inkitt. I love the app itself but I find myself not being able to access the app and only the online version. Either way an amazing app and I would recommend

Black screen. App doesn’t work.

Downloads. I love that you can download as many books as you want, that you only need to like once instead of every chapter

Spectacular. Very nice app. Doesn’t glitch and no adds at all. Free books and I can also download as many books as I want and read them online. 😃👌👌

Black screen. Instal uninstall, black screen. That’s what append to me. Do something please

Great 👍🏻. Great App many hidden treasures of wonderful stories. Just need some improvement with night mode let’s say and minor detail 👌🏻

Can’t access. I’ve downloaded the app and it won’t open or it freezes...... what do I do next?

Ok. I love this app but I’m always haveing to remove it and download it again . Yes my phone is up to date and as far as I know the app is as well. Pl fix this prob ty.

Inkitt is good, but faulty. I don’t know if it’s been brought up, but the save function on this app when writing is frustrating. Spend 30+ minutes just rifling through and editing bits, to hit save multiple times and not have it do a single thing. Back to square one. Please fix this glitch, it is entirely inconvenient and a huge deterrence to anyone looking to just quickly fix an error or use the writing function.

Found some new authors I love but…. I’ve been using Inkitt for a few years now and I have become a frequent user because one of my favorite authors (who I discovered on the app) posts regularly. However, recently I have run into lots of bots who follow me and I have to block them. This has only started happening within these past couple of months for me so it doesn’t affect my overall opinion of the app, but I think it’s something the team needs to work on, since some users are under 18 and could be targeted by these bots. On another note, I also wish it was easier to find better quality free books, because sometimes I struggle to find a book that doesn’t have a cringy summary, especially because the genre I like is very popular among teenagers (werewolves lol)

Only one complaint. I really enjoy that the app is free, and there is a large variety of stories available. My only complaint is that the last three books I started were only partially on Inkitt, and you had to go use a different paid app to finish them. Inkitt should not have incomplete books available! I read enough to get hooked to the story, and then the author posts that they removed the remainder. I totally support authors, and they are definitely worthy of being paid for their work. I just don’t think it is fair to readers that Inkitt does not remove these books. It is misleading, and honestly very frustrating.

New update. The app was working fine until yesterday when I updated my ios and now it wouldn’t even open it crashes as soon as I click on it. I reinstalled it but it doesn’t work still. Do look into it maybe its not compatible with the new iOS update

options. The app is amazing but can you make it to have a dark version for reading at night or something please.

Notifications. App is great but it would be nice to have a notification setting so we know when the authors updates the book

The beginning of an era. Transferring bc of wattpad lol. So far soooo good🤌👌

Immediate crashes on startup. I love the stories but for some reason I can’t even open the app anymore it starts up and immediately crashes. I’ve even deleted the app and re-downloaded it. I even thought I might be my phone so I restarted my phone. App still opens and immediately crashes. Please fix this problem. I enjoy this app too much. And I would have given the app 5 stars if it weren’t for my current problem.

As a Reader, it’s great! As an Author…. As a long-time Inkitt reader, I can definitely say that this app has it’s benefits. A large selection of book choices, it’s very well organized, and the books I personally read have me anxiously awaiting the next chapter. However… As an AUTHOR on the app, it can be quite infuriating at times. Whenever I try to write on mobile, when I’m on the go, I have trouble with my work being saved. For example, when I type out a paragraph, hit “Save,” exit out of the app, then come back to it later, my paragraph isn’t there. It’s so frustrating and I’ve had to delete a few already published books due to the fact that none of my new chapters saved. Great app for readers, but needs some mobile work for the authors.

Please fix the bug issue. Inkitt still buggy i trying to read and i can get 10 or 15 chapters in and the rest of the book stops loading i have deleted and redownload the app the fix the issue but i have use this reading app for 6 years its the best great author some have even up on kindle!

Email Confirmation. With my first email address, it wouldn’t send a confirmation email after multiple tries. I decided to change the email, but could only do so on the Inkitt Writing app rather than on here as it wouldn’t save. After changing the email address, it would send me the confirmation email, but when I clicked the link it would take me to the official website but not confirm my email at all. Instead, it was asking me to sign in but that did nothing and I could not find where I was supposed to go to confirm it. I tried contact support but the results weren’t helpful.

Fix. I love reading on this app. My main issue is deleting drafts. When i click on the draft and delete chapters, they won’t delete, they just stay there. Same with deleting the whole story. It disappears for a second than it comes right back. I’d appreciate if it was fixed. It is really irritating because I’m trying to start clear so that i can make more stories.

Overall Great. I think this app is pretty great. I like reading, so this is a great way for me to read. The one thing I would suggest is maybe making a dark mode for the whole app instead of just changing the page color of the books. A lot of people, myself included, have sensitive eyes and it can be very jarring going from a black background to a white one. Also maybe add different fonts to choose from when reading. Other than that I like how the app is.

Loving this so far. I’ve been a loyal wattpad user for well over 8 years and lately it has been rather frustrating with all the ads and paid stories. It’s really refreshing to find another reading app similar to wattpad that isn’t run down with ads and paid stories. I’ve only been using this app for less than a week but so far I’m loving it! It even has some of my favorite authors on here who used to write on wattpad!

Does Not Save. This app is ✨wonderful✨ but whenever I try to save the More Info stuff category, and press submit it says I didn’t fill in anything at all! And whenever I re-fill it out, it still says that I didn’t fill it out, therefore I don’t have any stories posted. I can’t download Wattpad due to a parental lock, and I was looking for a similar app sense I’m familiar with Wattpad on my computer, but this app has trouble with saving. I know the creators are trying their best to make this app better, so I patiently wait for an upcoming update that will fix this. Thank you!

LOVE IT!!. I truly love the way this app works, you can find any type of book you want, there are a lot of tags that help you find those stories, the design is beautiful in a simple way (doesn’t have anything to do with how the app works but I felt like it had to be mention) The only thing it’s that I have seen the same popular/recommended books for a little over a week, which didn’t use to happen. Besides that, I couldn’t love the app anymore

I have a few issues but other than that I love it. When I am looking for a new book it doesn’t show the full description. I would love if you could click on the book/novel and read the summary and maybe the ratings fellow reviewers have rated the book. I also don’t like how you only get 20 results for one genre of books. Other than these issues I love the app!!! Thank you!

Love the app but.... I absolutely love what I can find in the app. I wish that there was a way of telling if a story is getting uploads, how long ago the last upload was, and if stories are completed. It's a huge inconvenience to be really into a story that never gets completed and I can't tell that they quit uploading it months ago. I also have a hard time finding a lot of stories from the small selection it gives me in the discover area. Please consider these in your next update. Thank you.

Amazing!. You can choose what genres you like and they give you so many different stories to chose from. And if you have watched some shows there are people that make spinoffs of those shows. It is so thrilling and it gives you something to read. You can feel like one of the characters in the book and it makes you want more. I think that if you like reading then this is a great app for you.

Download to reply to comments. The app has been great up until this point. It’s easy and accessible to me but I just came to the point of replying to somebody who commented on my book and it’ll only let you if you download it. Apparently you can’t use it as a website it has to be downloaded as an app. A shame because my laptop won’t let me download it. To use all of its features I’d literally have to go between my laptop and my phone. Not worth it to me

It’s ok. It’s a great app it’s just that it has bugs in it, such as I could be reading a book and it’ll kick me out of the app, the font size sometimes gets really small to were I have to delete the app to get it back to normal, it’s super slow sometimes, the organization of the library is weird it would be nice it we could see it in columns and I search up one thing and if gave me a notification about there’s a problem their trying to fix and that I could still be on my account and browse but when I try to go read a book the same message pops up.

Free books galore. They’ve got tons of books I can read for free. I get to leave a review for the author to help them improve. And when I’m done with a book I can easily find another to start. Not like a lot of other so called free sites where it’s free till a certain part or only a chapter every 24 hrs or buy with coins or do xyz to earn points to buy stuff NO this is all FREE I’ve never had to pay anything!

Great App!. I found this App and it has awoken the love of reading that I had 45 years ago. I love all the different genres and the fact that the books are free is a big plus. The only thing that I haven’t figured out yet is how to archive the books that I have read. But over all, I would recommend this app to everyone that likes to read, because there is something here for everyone!

I really like this app but I think there’s a little bug with mine. I’ve had this app for a while but I think there’s a bug. I’ve found these authors that are interesting but for some reason if I hit follow and go out then go back in I’m unfollowed to them, if I leave a comment to them though it’s fine. So could someone please tell me what’s that about? Or can the creators of inkitt please try to fix that? Thank you! That was my only problem so far! The app is really great and I highly recommend it.

Solid app. This app is pretty solid, few bugs when posting my stories but nothing major. Only real issue is that they don’t appear to have a view counter on self published stories. View counters really help us authors find inspiration. When we see it going up we want to keep writing and when it slows or stops we want to write something grand and get it going again.

Issues with pages. Recently the app is having issues loading pages. Trying to read a new story and I now am getting an error message saying the chapter cannot be viewed and if I am the author which I am not, to contact support. Other stories that I check updates on just won’t load those particular pages. I didn’t have any problems until I updated the app.

Good stories but has a lot of bugs/lags. I’ve been using this app for a while now and it has some really good books and interesting stories. Inkitt has a good variety but that’s not my problem with it. My issue is that the app itself is so laggy and it takes some time for books to load in your library or when changing from different chapters. Another BIG ISSUE I have with it is when I leave a book, then close the app out and open it back up again, it opens back in the book I was reading AFTER I’ve already closed it. It’s literally one of the most annoying things I’ve dealt w/ from this app. I hope this problem gets fixed soon so I could give it the 5 stars.

Please Read. Hello! So this app works okay on my iPhone but when I try to read on my iPad it forces an exit to my Home Screen when I read one chapter of a book or in the middle of it! On my iPhone it’s sort of slow to load new chapters even though I am connected to high speed internet. But I Love reading on my iPad but it keeps force closing for no reason. This is a bug that Needs to be fixed because I prefer reading on my iPad. I love Inkitt but I would love it more if the iPad version acted the same with an iPhone version. With love and frustration, me🤗

Cool, a few problems though.... I started writing a little, and I read a little. But then I started experiencing some issues. I had some drafts that I didn’t need anymore so I went to delete them, but whenever I clicked delete, they wouldn’t go away. And if I tried to submit something, It would say the Information wasnt complete, so I’d complete the info and then it would say it still wasnt complete and go back to what it was before I completed it. And it wouldn’t save anything that I did. So idk if I can fix this or not, but it’s rlly annoying. But it might just be me, but still cuz it’s pretty annoying.

Could be gayer. The only reason that I did not give this app five stars was one reason. Though there was such a great selection of fiction stories that were all great I noticed there wasn’t very much LGBTQ content. I was really hoping to read some stories that normalize the community because they are so rare as printed books but there was not a big selection in this category. Other than that I enjoy my time using the app and supporting some of my favorite authors and reading some of there fantastic work LGBTQ or not.

Inkitt. I reallyyyyyy love the app. I get to read all the books I want , in different categories and I love how some of the books have warnings on them to let you know it’s going to be some stuff you make not like in there. The authors write some good books and I enjoy reading on here for my free time. It calms my mind when I want to come on here and read , this is going to be my favorite book app.!!

Broken. I downloaded the app with the intention of reading a book I found on wattpad. However I opened the app signing in with my apple so I wouldn’t forget my password. Everything is fine until I get to the next step which is where you pick the genres you are interested in reading. I pick maybe four or five but when I press the select button it doesn’t work. So I’m like okay cool so I quit the app and open it back up only for it to give me a grey almost black screen. So I delete and redownload the app and it’s still stuck on that screen. This is very frustrating and I don’t even feel motivated to read the book anymore.

Amazing. 10/10. I had been reading Wattpad for years, and then my friend was like, “Since you write and read a lot on there, try Inkitt!” And I, never turning down the opportunity to get a free book app, downloaded it straight away. No ads like Wattpad, in fact it has an even wider variety that Wattpad. It’s amazing and I love this app so much. I don’t know a single thing wrong with it. It’s truly amazing and I applaud the creator.

Fabulous. I love this app! The community here is so awesome and supportive, I feel like this is my little escape. My only problem is, sometimes my comments and things don’t show up, or when I’m typing out a story, the words will freeze and then I have to start the paragraph over again. All the amazing feedback here though is fabulous, and I can push through the errors, but I did want to let you guys know. It really is a fabulous app, 10/10 :)

Great App. I love most of the stories are free. You know before you start if you need to pay for a book. It’s so fun to see what various authors have to offer. Some are so good it’s impossible to put down, while other authors are just beginning their writing journey. It’s so fun to sift through the different options. It would be helpful to add suggested books after finishing a book. It would be so much easier to find new reads. However, the current set up is still very useable. I like this app much more than bumming around a library or book store.

Very Fustrating. I’ve had the app for a week now and it was good all up until recently. The screen is always freezing and I can never change the page from the popular page to the new page or to my library because the screen gets stuck on the current page. Also, when I reach the end of the chapter, I can’t get to the next chapter or even leave the book because the screen becomes frozen. Clearing the app doesn’t work and I don’t want to keep deleting the app and downloading it again to fix the app.

Love reading on Inkitt!. I think the app is great. I’ve been using it for several months and it’s been an overall good experience. I’m looking forward to watching it grow more. There are a couple of improvements I’d like to see. One is that every time I click next chapter it takes me to the previous chapter..not sure if others have experienced this. Also, I’d like to be able to see the books in my library through a scroll down list.

Editing. I don’t have any major problems with th is app at all. I read and write with no cost, it’s quite enjoyable actually. The only problem I have with the writing function is the little green down turned arrow at the top right of the page when writing. I press on it to edit the text and it glitches out. Am I doing anything wrong to get it to be accessible or is this in need of fixing? It makes it really hard to split between certain points in chapters and highlight those out of ordinary key points. Please fix this, or enlighten me on the problem. Thank you.

The app keeps crashing. I love this app. I love reading and this app is so accessible and easy to navigate. The only thing Is that the app is constantly crashing. It was fine for the first few months reading both in my iPad and my iPhone, but now it crashes so frequently it almost impossible to get through a chapter. Sometimes it takes the full chapter to crash, other times it will take only a paragraph or two, and others it will crash before you can even read anything. If these crashes weren’t happening, my rating for this app would be a lot better, but it’s impossible to enjoy a story with the crashes.

Great!. I love reading on Inkitt! It’s fairly interesting! The only issue is that I can’t really find any finished books on there to read that interest me. I think maybe the algorithm could use a bit of work in that department to help narrow down to more possible interest books for the reader! But other than that, it’s a fairly great app! Not too hard to navigate or work with either. But one thing I will say is that the color scheme is a little harsh on the eyes. Maybe adding different colors for the screen to the app when searching will help too!

Love this App. The last few days I have had trouble, can only read a chapter, then it freezes, I have to log out, then back in to read the next chapter. Frustrating. But it only started a few days ago, that aside from this, it’s the best App Ever!! And have had zero problems up until this one. I have a good book with me where ever I go, such talented writers, I’ve pulled all nighters not being able to put it down. Literally never turn on the television anymore. Great job! You deserve 5 stars

Overall Really Good. I really like this app, as it really focuses on writers, and protects their work. The app is ideal for both writers and readers in regards to content and overall experience. My only complaint is the actual story layout. Paging mode is difficult to use at times, you have to open the first chapter of any story to read the book description, and you can only comment on the end of each chapter. Besides these minor occurrences, I really like the platform, and if you are a writer, it is definitely the app to choose!

please make these changes if you want more people on the app. There’s nothing completely wrong with the app it just needs fixes. — There needs to be more POC books out on the front lines.. Possibly a dark mode. Let readers comment on individual paragraphs. It can boost up the writers confidence with seeing others comment and expressing, because leaving all the comments in once box at the bottom are annoying. With the separate writing app it could possibly be a change with dark mode also.. And lastly letting us writers be able to add gifs and photos.

Amazing. Inkitt is a wonderful app that I love so much. I'm learning new words and reading new books that I didn't even know that existed! I have never had one problem with Inkitt! It's even helping me in school with my vocabulary, now that I'm reading again. I used to not like reading as much because the books at my library never kept me interested, only very few books did but those books were in a series, then I found this AMAZING app, Inkitt, I love all of these books on the app because they all keep me interested in reading, and I am so glad!!

Nice app but.... I am a writer here on inkitt with several stories published on this site, and while I’m glad to have the opportunity to possibly have one of my stories published someday, I do wish that they would add a way to connect with my followers aside from just liking them back and replying to a comment- I wish I could send out a mass notification or something to connect with them! Like a: “ hey, thanks for following me and my next update will be...” that kind of thing. My follower numbers are increasing by the day and I just want to be able to tell them I appreciate them :-)

Great App for Indie Authors and Voracious Readers. I originally started reading on their other app, Galatea but got frustrated waiting to read content for free. I went to Inkitt and felt like I was Belle when she discovered the library at the Beast's castle. Since many authors are continuing to write, it's kind of like waiting for the next episode of your favorite show to drop. I've also been encouraged to start writing again and look forward to releasing my own stories soon 😊📚📝

Why did you take out the erotica subject?. This is my go to app for amazing minds of erotic stories. What happen to it being it’s own spot when looking for books. Please bring it back. I don’t just like romance because they usually cut out all of the 18+ scenes and I feel like if you keep it this way that you will lose a lot of readers because some of us just use your app to read the amazing crazy minds that bring us 18 and up kind of Contant.

Could Use Improvements. So far, the apps been doing it's job, which is providing the reader with quality books. However there are some things which could make the app a lot better. Like when you click out of a book, it sets you back in that chapter so when you go back to that same book, you won't be where you left off. The layout of the library is also inconvenient for looking at all your books in one go. But these aren't life altering problems so all in all, it's a pretty good app.

A fantastic app, but prone to bugs and crashes. I really enjoy Inkitt and it’s home to amazing stories and authors. However, lately every time I open the app I can’t access my discover page or the search feature. It’s all blank like it’s loading but never does. I’ve tried restarting my networks and logging back in but it still comes up blank. I even updated the app and nothing works for me. I came to the reviews to see if anyone was having similar issues and multiple people are. A completely blank screen or a continuous loading screen.

Inktt. I love this app so much. Great books to read for free. The author are amazing as well. The only thing is sometimes I get kicked out in the middle of reading a book. Or sometimes I can't get into the folders where I saved my books at to read again later. Overall this app is awesome. Little miner thing but an awesome app. I have recommended this app to family and friends already.

Pretty great but needs a little fixing.. The stories are amazing, and with all the genres and sub-genres, you can find exactly what you wanted to read plus some! But, your personal library is extremely difficult to navigate. If I want to read a book I read months ago, I have to swipe through every single book in my library before I find it. Lastly, if you start following a reading list, then it doesn’t show up on the read listing tab of your library.

Why Does It Act As An Internet App?. Okay, so I use Google Chrome as my internet app and yet when I have an email or something that requires me to click on a link to fix a problem, it takes me to Inkitt instead. Please fix this problem. Also, I would like to have the ability to read the full summary of a book I want to read, please make this feature available. Other than that, it’s a great app and the there are many genres that can be found within this app.

Good, but hard to navigate. I enjoy the books on the app! However, I wish it showed the full description of the book or gave a ‘more’ option. It would also be great to see the last time a book was updated, within the library and on discover pages. Also, why is there a limited number of results for each category? I can’t get past 20 or so books. It would be great for authors to use tags, or someway to identify what the book is about, past the genres.

Great but... Not going to lie, I just downloaded this app, I have been with Wattpad for 4 years until there recent update that doesn’t allow us to read offline. I go on the app and I love the way it looks and the various book options there is, but is it possible to add another option for the reading format? Instead of only allowing “scrolling” can there be an option of “paging” as well? It’d be great if this could happen! Thank you for reading if you do.

Terrible updates. The app was working great and I love it. But after the last couple of updates it doesn’t even work. This most recent update that I did this morning has caused the app to be completely blank when I get into it. It is just a blank white screen. The update before that caused the app to always go back to the beginning of a book instead of staying where I left off. It is frustrating to constantly have to find your place again. Please fix these issues so I can read again.

Has potential. This has potential to be something good. There are a few problems I have with the app. The first is, it doesn’t show how many views are on each story/chapter. The second is, you can’t comment on each paragraph in a chapter which is annoying. The third, the tags for the search bar don’t work well. The last thing is, when someone reviews the story it gives it a score out of five and changes the stories overall rating. I think reviews are fine but shouldn’t be shown as a preview.

Pretty good. It is a really good app I only have 2 problems with it. 1, there is no dark mode so when I read at midnight I am blinded till I open the books. 2, there is a glitch happening that makes it so you can’t see when a book updates so you have to manually check, I still get message notifications and the books update I just don’t get a notification.
