Excellent app. Best ad blocking app I’ve tried and I’ve tried a bunch. This works perfectly. I downloaded this last year and haven’t had any problems. I highly recommend.

IT REALLY WORKS!!!. I'll get straight to the point. I had 2 iPhones mine and my son’s. Both iPhone 5s , both on same wifi, both exact set up. I went to a site I frequent that has those pops that come just as you touch the screen and redirects you. I have PURIFY he did not (yet). I pressed go and the same time. Mine loaded about 1.5 sec faster (which is a lot) and NO POP UPS. the other iPhone same bs. About 95% of video ads everywhere are gone.

Can’t live without it. There have been times where I’ve accidentally turned it off and I didn’t realize how awful most websites are without an ad blocker on. Download this now.

The Best. I’ve been using Purify since iOS allowed content blockers into Safari. It’s always been my favorite. I’ve tried several, and they all have their pluses, but Purify is simple and elegant and most importantly, effective.

The tutorial is out of date. Essentially I just bought the app and I am not able to enable it on my device. Upon further investigation...the tutorial video is out of date. In 16.4.1 you have to go the Safari extension settings to enable. Well see how it goes from here.

Shoulda done this a LONG time ago!. Best $1.99 app in the store. KILLS those painfully annoying ads such as found in news articles. Web pages load so much faster cause you don’t have to wait for the gazillion ads to fill your screen. Also, in my case, certain websites, chocked full of ads, caused the back of my iPhone to get very warm. I assume that had something to do with how power was being used/drawing from my battery (due to ads loading). Whatever the reason, since installing Purify, that happens no more. We spend 5 bucks on coffee that’s gone in 30 minutes. Two bucks on this app will last a lot longer.

Doesn’t work on iPad. The content blocker won’t activate in the Safari settings. Updated: it’s apples fault as ad blocking and restrictions on sites in Safari can’t be used together. Four stars for developers and their great email communication, one star for Apple. Will change to five stars when Apple fixes it.

Malware do not buy!. I been getting pop up advertising when I opening certain articles, that you could barely make it through a paragraph. I thought it was the pages themselves. I went to download an ad blocker, and forgot that I purchased purify awhile back until I noticed it was active in my safari settings. I turned off purify turned the other one on, opened up the page no pop up. Then I decided to turn both off, and still no pop up. I turned purify back on, and boom pop up. I tried this multiple times to make sure it wasn’t a fluke!

Works well but social media sites playing hardball. Works fairly well but be aware some social media sites work hard to make your life a little worse if you use a blocker. For instance, if you disable social media buttons Twitter URLs will always fail (“something went wrong”). This is not specific to this product; just a reminder these blockers can make some of your online life harder as the other side fights dirty.

Works Great. So glad I got this app. Websites load so much faster without all the ads. No more annoying ads everywhere and slow loading sites. White list lets me add sites where I don’t need to block ads.

Not working. So it’s a waste of $.. I was so sick of all the pop ups on my iphone (6plus up to date) every time I go anywhere to read the news or try to read anything on Safari. I am having to shut down pop ups constantly so trying to get one paragraph read is impossible. It has come to the point that any site that immediately interrupts me with stupid pop ups or any videos that are interrupted to present ads are shut down immediately. Can’t believe people think this is acceptable. Getting to the point where I hate trying to use the Internet on a mobile phone. It’s ridiculous. So I was hoping after reading the reviews that this application would curb that and I don’t see where it has. And yes I have hit all the settings as indicated in their instructions. Just not working.

Great App. I use this app all the time and have nothing negative to say about it. Though I do have to mention that no joke, it occasionally works too well in that I must deactivate it partially to access some websites.

Been about 3 years & still <3-ing it.. Has served me well for (going on) 3 years now. A solid service that couldn’t be easier to utilize. Great job. Thanks. Wow! Reading some of the few reviews that say the app isn’t working for them. I wish there was a magical way for reviews to be applicable to an apps rating once the reviewers been proven to understand how to use the app on their device.

Used to work great but not anymore. I used this app in conjunction with the Norton Ad blocker and it used to work great. It would completely hide the ads on websites where Norton would leave a white box. It no longer does that and honestly, the white boxes are just as annoying. At least I can rely on Norton to get rid of the ads, but now half the screen is taken up with stupid blank boxes. I wish this app still worked, it used to be amazing.

Needs to be updated. It’s never really blocked ads as much as it blocks scripts. This means that on most sites if there is a menu to open or a search, it doesn’t work until I whitelist it. Usually I’ll white list a site and afterwords I’ll remove it from the whitelist. Now with iOS 15 it doesn’t show the newly white listed sites in the app anymore. On top of that when I go into private mode it treats every site as white listed. At least it seems that way so far. When I white list a site, the only way to remove it from the list is to go to that site and select the “Purify Preferences” again. When Apple announced that Safari extensions were being added in iOS 15 I was excited that Purify would be updated as an extension, if not already. But now I see it hasn’t been updated in a few years.

Almost more frustrating than the ads. App doesn’t keep up with the changes that developers use to combat ad blockers. As a result, sites freeze, time out or won’t open. This causes a user to close all apps and reboot to effectively restart the browser. Could be an excellent app if they kept pace with the tricks and techniques that developers use to make you open as content. But they don’t keep pace with industry corrections that are used to combat their content. Sad.

Effective, efficient, and flexible. I’ve been using this constantly since day one on my phone and tablet and it’s become an essential aspect of my iOS setup. I’m happy to see that the developer continues to update and improve it over time. Keep up the great work!

No Longer Works. I’ve been using Purify for years now. After downloading it several years ago, every single ad in Safari disappeared. Something has changed recently, however, and the app no longer works. I have tried deleting it and re-installing it; I’ve tried disabling and re-enabling it. Nothing works. The app simply no longer works and a Google search shows I’m not the only one having this problem. Considering I PAID for this app, I expect it to work. It needs to be fixed.

Blocking works great!. Almost all pages display well - minus ads! You will still see some 'sponsored content' links but not all of the blinking and pop-up type garbage that you used to have to normally wade through. Occasionally I have to turn it off to get things to work on a particular page but overall great job Purify! Please add autoplay-video blocking if you can and I will give your app six stars! ;-)

It works and it’s simple.. The title says it all, but I should add that unlike other ad blockers I’ve tried (and I have NOT tried them all), it also can significantly speed up browsing by optionally blocking scripts and images. Of course that breaks a lot of web pages, but it’s worth it to turn that on when you find yourself on a slow internet connection.

Distracting Purify notification. My biggest gripe: a large persistent notification on the screen asking for a reload after white listing a website. The Purify notification “Your Purify preferences for this site have changed. Reload to see them take effect!” is covering 1/8 of the screen and highly distracting. Please minimize.

Best ad blocker So good I bought it twice!!!. I’ve had this for the last 3 years and it has not failed me since. I recently got a new iPad and wanted to keep it separate from my iPhone data. My iPhone has the Purify app and my iPad did not. I got a couple of free ad-blockers to see if they could block ads and NONE worked like Purify does. I installed Purify on my new iPad and all the crap ads are gone! Great product, low price and no ads. Thanks!!!

Works as advertised! ;-). I've been using Atomic Browser with Adblock for years. Since Atomic is no longer being updated I will eventually need to switch to another browser. This plug-in makes Safari a viable option. So far it works great. I had to whitelist a few sites but latest updates have allowed me to remove some of them. Keep up the good work! UPDATE Nov. 3, 2020: This app hasn’t been updated in quite awhile. Doesn’t work as well as it used to. Changing my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars.

Fantastic Ad Blocker!. Been using Purify for 6 months after trying several other Safari ad blockers a try. Purify does what it says and does it unobtrusively. It has a whitelist function that is accessed directly thru the browser so it's convenient and quick. I've had to whitelist only a few sites. Such a great ad blocker!

Worked well but abandoned, no privacy details. This app worked great when it first came out! However, the last update was 3 years ago and no privacy details have been provided. It seems to no longer work as well and, given how I don’t know how it’s handling my personal information, I no longer feel comfortable having this installed.

Don’t know why others are having problems but it works for me. This has been one of the best and easiest to use ad blockers that I have encountered. I don’t know why these other people are reporting problems because it works great for me. It has cut down on almost all ads when I visit website through Safari. I love this program! Highly recommend!

Convention Of States. I was pleasantly surprised with how well this “filter” works. I’ve tried other apps that either didn’t work or had some flaws. Also, when I went to one of my favorite news site, I was asked to “please turn off my ad blocker”. My message to them and other web providers is this..... You need to learn the difference between having “standard static” ads placed on your site, versus having the ads constantly flash in your face and or literally chase you around the screen while trying to read the news.

It's good, but need improvements. Come on ppl, really? This isn't that much of a WOW! honestly I haven't noticed difference on speed loads or battery, and doesn't even block the social media buttons. Don't get me wrong, it's better than nothing, but for 3.99? There is 1Block for a dollar less and you can customize a lot! I hope it gets better. Update: for me just getting worst. My browsing experience has become a pain, super slow loading times. Uninstalled the app and everything back to normal. This is a ripoff.

Great ad blocker. I used ad guard pro for quite awhile but after they stopped allowing the DNS then it wasn't nearly as effective and I started looking around for a new blocking app and was deciding between crystal and Purify and after I did some research I am very glad that I went with Purify works great and is very affordable.

Works, but blocks real content. I had been using this for a while on my 6s, and it was working great, and I barely had to whitelist any sites, Not much more than 10 or so. Got an iPhone X, and since then virtually all content or functions on sites like menus are blocked, and the majority of the sites aren’t usable without whitelisting anymore.. now I have 111 whitelisted sites :(

Great app.. I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now and I love everything about it. Its very simple to use and understand . Even the customer service is awesome, early on right after I downloaded it I had a few questions about it so I contacted them by email and they were extremely prompt about getting back to me I think it was only a matter of about 3 or 4 minuets before I had a reply. They stayed on the phone with me for a good 20 minuets answering my questions and didn’t end the call until they were confident that I fully understood everything about the app.

Blocks too much. Previously a four star review. Purify worked well blocking ads (sometimes too well, but nothing that couldn’t be tweaked) but now I’ve found it has started to block certain articles on all major news sites. I’m not really sure what the trigger is. So far it’s definitely every article relating to the US Presidents social media executive order, plus some other minor topics that could be flukes since not every site is reporting on them. I’m just going to turn off the app for now until I can be sure I’ll have access to the pages I’m trying to read.

Not working !. When purify enable ,The app purify block not worth it . app block all images on the website and video also not only ads or advertisements . If you enable the app on safari any website you visited you only find text, the image of the website for example newspaper! Website it’s not blocking the advertisement or ads every think video photo images ! Shouldn’t be like this.

Marvelous.. This app blocks all ads and is smooth, clean, and easy. No worries. Update: I've been using this app for six months now, and I love it. Sometimes you get blank videos and images, but that's because they contain links to ads and pop-ups. It is awesome.

Okay, but inferior to desktop ad blockers. I really wish the developers of this app would use the same lists as uBlock Origin, including the custom ones. The difference is obvious when I’m browsing on my iPhone vs on my laptop. For example, on my iPhone I see Reddit’s promoted ad content/posts, but on my laptop uBlock Origin blocks all of that. Frustrating considering this is a paid app, definitely could be much more effective if they desired it to be (just reference uBlock Origin lists already).

🤔🤔🤔. I rated this 5 star, then 1 star because it stopped working. Then I realized that Purify suddenly became disabled in settings, and I had to re-enable it. Interesting. Don’t know why that happened. But it works now that it’s back on. Back to 5 stars

Best Ad Blocker Around. I’ve tried so many content blockers and purify is still the only one that eliminates ads cleanly. So many replace ads with a blank box that say “ad” or have weird spaces around web pages. Purify removes the ads and makes the web pages look natural. It’s hard to describe. Just try it lol. My only gripe is that I wish I could use purify on my Mac. Now that Mojave supports content blockers let’s hope they come out with a Mac app.

Outstanding app. Purify works exactly as claimed and has greatly improved my browsing experience. It is one of my favorite apps in the App Store. I don’t understand the negative reviews and have to think they come from people who didn’t bother to read the installation instructions. There is more to it than just downloading the app. Follow the instructions to get the benefits of Purify. It is well worth the effort.

Love it!. I was looking for adblocking browsers on the app store and most of them had a clunkier experience than safari. With this app I can use safari with no ads or trackers! A total gamechanging app. I get the smooth experience of safari without any ads! Would recommend!

It def works but.... I’ve seen people go on the same sites as me and & the comparison is very clear, they are getting way more ads then I do so I can def say this app works well and it’s doing its job when it comes to banner ads and such. My only criticism is that I wish it did better was curbing pop up ads or preventing them all together. Trying to watch a video but having to go through 5 pop up ad pages first can be annoying. Also the app has improved a lot since I last reviewed it & the developers were very quick to reach out to me.

Lightning fast. This is how the mobile web should have always loaded. Fantastic job! The app itself (basically just a config for how it works in safari) is fast and fluid, and things like whitelisting sites is very easy.

Outstanding!. I've been waiting for an app like this since I bought my first iPhone. With Purify, I'm finally free of the endless, obnoxious ads that clutter up virtually every website. An outstanding app that's well worth the price.

Worse than free apps out there. On most sites, it functions as it should, but in others (CBS Sports is an example), there are more ads that pop up (including some horrible banner ads that push the screen down) than with the free apps some friends are using. Looks like I’m switching to these too. Only thing I can think of is that some websites are paying Purify to let ads through. Either that or the devs are just not very good. Either way, kinda terrible for a paid app.

Very disappointed and misled. After finding the app’s official website and reading through the functionality and list of features, not once does it mention that this the app only supports Safari. Hell, it doesn’t even vaguely allude to it. After reading all the nice features and what I gave the app description a quick glance and then pulled the trigger. It’s only if you read all the down at the bottom of the App Store description does it finally mention this highly critical fact that Purify “is a content blocker for Safari” Chris, If you aren’t going to list some kind of “system requirements”-esque list somewhere in your description where you mention you have to use Safari, you really need to re-word things at the very beginning of your descriptions both on the site and on the App Store to make this more clear.

Quick and effective. I was so tired of ads that popped up and took over my safari even with ad blocking on. I did a bunch of research into different products. Purify got great reviews. It worked instantly after installed.

A little glitchy. No app is ever perfect at its job, particularly when it’s an arms race like you have between ad blockers and advertisers. It’s money well spent. However, I can’t give it 5 stars because I can’t get settings to change, and can’t edit the whitelist for a particular site, after initial setup. It just doesn’t work.

Was flawless, but ads evolved. I see ads above all the major news websites I go to. There used to be nothing. And there’s still no ads embedded within the article. But one day I started to see ads at the top of all of these websites. It’s all the time. So frustrating. And there hasn’t been an update to this app in a while! :(

Best blocker around. This is the first and last ad blocker you will need. Well worth the investment to scrub the junk from the web.

Great Safari ad blocker. Purify is a great Safari ad blocker. It is fast and easy to use, very effective in blocking ads, and is well-designed and presented. You should try it. For the two reviewers who gave 1-star reviews, this is deeply unfair. To clarify a few things about the way all Safari content blockers work: Safari content blockers are enabled in Safari's settings, and not in the blocker app. Blockers are also not enabled by default. This is how Apple designed the feature. Purify comes with a great video that shows you how to enable and use it. Safari content blockers are also only used in Safari, or in apps that use the Safari web component instead of the generic iOS web component, or their own. This Safari web component is new in iOS 9, and so apps are not using it yet. If you are seeing ads in your apps, ask your app developer to use the Safari web component. Safari content blockers are also only available on devices with 64bit processors. Apple set this limitation, and not the blocker developer.

It just works.. Does what it is supposed to on multiple apps.

Random issues with Page loads. I've ended up turning and leaving this App Off, although it worked on some site other sites wouldn't load at all, google image search shows coloured boxes after the first six images.

Seamless and brilliant. Fast good and white listing easy. Much more honest than Crystal which is a con and I will be seeking refunds for myself and my partner. I liked the way The Guardian said they noticed I was using an ad blocker and perhaps I would consider subscribing to help pay for their journalists. The right choice.

Still the best adblocker. Installed this app when Safari extensions were first permitted. This app hasn’t been updated in years yet still provides the best Adblock experience of all the available products!

Fastest of them all. Excellent app. Tried a few including crystal, peace, blockr, and this. Must say this app consistently loads pages fastest, will be sticking with this one.

Just lined it up with Chrome. Wow. I just opened some sites in Safari (blocked) and then side by ads with Chrome (unblocked). What a clean fast difference. Impressed. One slight criticism. The instal video goes way to fast and is not at all clear because you can't see what was selected. Need to fix that. Worth the extra couple bucks.

Great. It's a great content blocker and works really well, just one feature I think is really needed is the ability to manually add sites to the whitelist. Some websites I can't press the whitelist button from safari so I have to reload that site without content blockers every time, really annoying

Frustration. This is a good app but the thing that is driving me nuts is with apps like Flipboard with a swipe from the rhs ....... Purify help page just keeps on appearing on the RH side. No apparent way to stop this very annoying action. Please fix ASAP ....thanks

Simple and unobtrusive.. Such a great app! Just set and forget. It has made Safari perform so much better and faster.

Decent But..... The ad block lists and reported web site no longer seem to be updated!

Performance problems. Purify has been a great ad-blocker for me for years but recently it has made the performance of Safari worse. Disabling it eliminates the performance problems. I'm unsure exactly what it's doing, whether some recent update to its dynamic "Site Insight" has caused the problem or an update to the app itself. It makes my iPad run quite hot and it's conceivable that thermal throttling also plays a part. For now it's disabled and I'll keep an eye on the app updates for a fix.

If you actually take the time to set it up,. It will work properly. Settings->Safari->Content Blockers Switch Purify on Should work now. As for the program itself, I have no complaints. It does exactly as it should with no noticeable effect on my phones everyday operating. Can't complain about that and it will block scripts and other stuff too

Anti-AdBlocker message feature. Would be nice if you could add a feature to block websites from using those anti ad blocker messages that don't let you use the site until you whitelist them.

Frustrating. I've purchased 3 ad blockers and purity is disabled on my devices. It seems too severe in its filtering. Many of my favourite sites don't load at all, or won't load a sub article. Ads still showing... Every time I think I'll try again I end up switching it off. Not a product for me sadly...

Needs more control. Not a bad first attempt but this app blocks too much. Whitelisting sites doesn't always work, especially API-driven sites that need whitelisting of multiple domains or a parent domain. Without the ability to manually enter/edit whitelist or blacklist entries, Purify actually hinders my browsing more than it helps.

I love this app!. Yes, I'm gushing, but so will you be when you try this out. Works exactly as promised, and quickly. Setup is a breeze thanks to its intro demonstration, and they've made it easy to whitelist those sites whose ads you do want to see. Really worth it.

Makes safari lag. App does what it's meant to do but makes typing on safari laggy. Have disabled and re-enabled app a few times to test if it is indeed the app causing the problem.

Why does it need access to the compass?. I opened the app to check it was up to date and my phone asked me to calibrate the compass, why is that?

Even setting exception still block web content. In general it block web ads as it’s suppose to do but some website that need active content and have been set as exception still getting blocked.

Only Adblocker I recommend. Fast, light and simple. Cannot fault it.

Very Worth It!!. My safari has sped up tremendously... One of the great things about iOS9 allowing ad blockers

Fast, but not all pages load. Loads pages noticeably faster compared to Adblock Plus. Pages also load "neater". This blocker tries to remove ads to give you an "ad space" free page: Adblock plus leaves gaping blank holes on your page where there used to be an ad. But runs into problems with some sites not loading; I don't ever really have that problem compared to Adblock Plus

Five stars for now. Top app. But the moment I find out (if it happens) that they start using us like a toll both and selling out to an ad company. I'll refund. And so should anyone who has bought it. We won't be used.

Great app.. The app works very well and does what it says in the description. Works very well on pesky and annoying adverts. A hint: I did find I could not access a web link via an email, turned app off and no problem.

Some sites do not load. Good all round ad blocker but a couple of sites simply do not load. Safari shows a blank screen after loading the page. White listing he sites doesn't help either. Need to fix before I can reliably use it.

Great. This is dope and its clean af BRUH

When it works.... ...it works really well. Often, I must flick the switch in settings/safari to, I dunno, remind Purify to do its job. Also, if shopping sites aren't loading for you, it's because they're being blocked and you must add them to the exempt list. The app blocks these consistently even while allowing ads on blogs and news sites.

Nice UI but slows browser. I tried 1 blocker before this and it takes too long to load thousands of rules; then tried purify - love the interface but since installed it sometimes safari slows down before loading which I don't observe with Mozilla Focus. And I'm not using the extra options, just ad blocking. So for now I'll continue to use Focus as it doesn't slow safari down.

My Go To Add Blocker. With a clean interface and well thought out design, Purify is a must on my iOS devices and makes surfing the web much faster.

No longer works. Developer has abandoned this app, block-list hasn’t been updated in 11 months and no longer blocks most ads. Too bad because it used to function rather well.

Dishonest. These guys told us if we bought the iOS app they would give us a discount on the macOS version in April. They still haven't released a macOS version- it was just a lie. Now they've gone silent.

Great App. Well worth it, browsing is faster and uses less data. The app is easy to use and blends well into the background. Would recommend.

You sold me at privacy and simplicity. Enough said the fact that this app itself isn't a tracker makes this a well worth by. Tried out on heavy ad sites such as metro and it works seamlessly. Great app worth every cent.

Well done!. Excellent App. Great developer. Been using his uBlock for some time now and it rocks as well. One little request please ... iCloud support so multiple iDevices stay in sync! :-) 100% accurate comparison of Purify vs Crystal. The main reason is the fact that Crystal developers receive $$ from Ad agencies to let many Ads / Trackers get to users which is a shame!

Works Great, Annoying Bugs. I'd give this content blocker 5 stars if I could browse reddit, follow a link, go back to the main page (or discussion thread) and have the font stay the same size. Other sites exhibit this problem as well.

Best of the bunch!. I have 6 ad blockers on my iPhone and iPad, and patiently tested them all recently. Purify strikes the best balance of speed and blocking accuracy. It is one of the fastest anyway, if not the fastest, and the page rendering is quick and pretty (collapses most ad boxes). For the iPhone, Purify is a must for me.

Give it more time.. Still seeing ads on some sites. Will give the app more time as it does get rid of some ads.

Doesn't do anything. I'm visiting various blogs that have such poorly placed ads that make content unreadable. Yet purify doesn't block a single ad. What good is an ad blocker if all ad platforms pay it off and the customer still gets riddled with ads.

Worth it.. Best content blocker on the App Store. I've even seen an improvement in my battery life when browsing! 100% worth it.

Almost what I wanted in an AdBlocker. Made by the same creator as uBlock. Ad blocking wise it's a perfect 5/5 as far as I can tell Script blocking wise it's a 1/5. There aren't any script blockers that I know of for iOS so the feature may not be possible but idk. I don't want it to stop video scripts for example. But I do want it to stop scripts which would result in a redirect or a pop up window for example. But it doesn't. Video streaming sites and result in dozens of pop ups. I would have expected at least this from a premium pop up blocker. Rights now it's all or nothing. Script blocking requires sub categories to allow some scripts while blocking others.

Works too well. I love the fact that your app disables all advertising. However it also disables any and all video and pictures on sites which is annoying. Until this gets fixed I can’t recommend this app for other people to use.

Thank you!. Thank you for bringing sanity back to the ios browsing experience. For website owners complaining about blockers, you have only yourselves to blame. If the ads weren't so disruptive, it wouldn't be necessary to block them, for me anyway.

Not Working anymore /abandonware. Slows down surfing to a crawl now … was great in the past

Breaks way too many websites. Reported broken sites to developer multiple times, all ignored. Avoid this and get something else. I recommend Magic or Wipr

Lets them through in droves. Really bad over past few months. Almost no difference with or without on most sites. Don't waste time or money.

Easy To Use. I run Purify on my iPhone to keep annoying adverts out of view. I fully recommend this easy to use switch promoting privacy.

Superb. There are some problems, such as blocking videos from being able to be played on certain news websites, however, overall, it is a very good content blocker. Crystal is great too but it seems it is slowly lagging behind in updates both to the blocking list and the app itself. Purify is becoming much better than others. I am starting to use purify more than crystal. Keep up the good work. Only suggestion is to ensure mobile website versions are allowed to go through and that videos aren't blocked and the only blocking that should happen is maybe videos that are advertisements or advertisements within videos. Please continue to update and improve!! 🙂

Allows YouTube ads on safari. This app was really good but recently it has been allowing YouTube ads on safari. I’ll change this review and score once it is fixed. Before this issue the app worked great

It used to be good. I think the developer gave up on the app. It barely works anymore. That’s a shame because this content blocker used to be the best.

Just works. Does exactly what it says it does. You'll run into the odd site where you'll have to disable it but those are extremely rare in my experience. Updated 2022-11-20 - No blocklist updates since 2018. Find another blocklist app or setup a PiHole.

Does not block Youtube Ads at the moment. It used to do it, not sure why it stopped

Doesn’t block ads. It does not block ads on YouTube and chrome. I used free Adblocker and it block much more.

Working so far. Not sure if placebo effect but browsing definitely feeeeels faster. No ads is also very nice. However I'm very disappoint that this app doesn't have iPad 4 support.

Works well. I have been using this since its debut and it's been working flawlessly. I almost forget I am using it. I really think it cuts off unnecessary data traffic which is great for the tight data plan. Way to go developer!

Fine for surfing. Does a good job through Safari but does not remove in-app ads, which is a shame. They can be far worse than Internet ads.

Review. An excellent product!

Its OK. Just play around with the settings till you are satisfied. Keep in mind that some buttons on sites are considered images by this app so after blocking images, you wont be able to see the buttons but they will still be useable if you click on the blank space. Lastly, dont expect the webpage to look clean. Expect your normal webpage with blank spaces where the images used to be.

It qietly foes its jib. You use purify and then you totally forget it’s there, but when you use another device you see how much purify helps your web experience.

Works ok doesn't catch all the ads. Has almost no settings so when there is an ad it misses, there's no much you can do.

Have and this application since it's release each version just improves and with each update comes greater improvement c i'm glad I made the choice I made so many content blockers that were first released failed to live up to what they do this one does worth every penny

Used to work great, not worth it anymore. It still blocks ads occasionally, but plenty of auto-play video ads still make it through on multiple sites. Wouldn’t recommend anymore, going to look for an alternative

It works so well that I forget I have it. It works so well that I forget I have it. Then wonder why people are struggling with pop ups on their phones. This is an app well done.

Developer Doesnt Listen/Care. I purchased this app mistakenly believing it had more features than it did. That is my fault, I take responsibility for that... but I immediately emailed the developer to request a refund and received no reply. Don’t waste your money— if you have troubles with the app, Apple won’t refund (dev put the settings that was on purpose) and they won’t respond to your requests.

Needs Updating. I’ve been using Purify since ad blocking was added to Safari. This app used to work great. Unfortunately, it’s clear that it hasn’t been updated in years. It needs it. It’s not as good at blocking ads as it used to be. It seems to do a particularly poor job of blocking intrusive pop-ups as well. Most annoyingly, it breaks a lot more web sites than it used to. I give it 3 stars because it still blocks a lot of ads. But it desperately needs optimizing after years of no updates.

Tons of Yahoo mail ads. I wish this could block the ads when I browse to Yahoo mail. Oh well, hopefully Yahoo goes bankrupt soon and I’ll be motivated to find an alternative web mail service.

Needs Update for iOS13. I’ve always loved this content blocker because of how easy it was to set and forget. Unfortunately it doesn’t work as well as it used to since the update to iOS 13.x. Please update Purify to support the latest iOS.

Effective, but I wish it had these features. I wish I could block JavaScript on only certain websites. I want to be able to quickly disable gifs with one tap on a per page basis I wish I could disable images on a per page basis I’d like to be able to see aggregate statistics of blocked resources by ad network, domain, resource type, etc.

No long working. What the heck happened? I’ve had Purify on my phone for two years and it worked. But now it’s not working. Ads pop up on random sites and work on other sites. Someone update this thing!

The best I’ve tried. Purify has been running on my iPhone since it came out and although I’ve tried other blockers, they’re never as good as Purify. I highly recommend it.

Worthless app with good reviews. Not sure why there are so many positive reviews but I found this app totally useless. It stopped nothing, no ads, no pop ups at all. It caused nothing but wasted time as I had to disable it on every page just to see the contents. Then it doesn’t block anything. How this crap ever worked is a mystery to me. Don’t waste you money or time on it. Used Adblock and its amazing. That app actually works.

Detected on too many websites. Works well, but is too easily detected on many websites, particularly the news sites. Websites that detect ad blocking don’t allow you to browse them. Need a better ad blocker.

Overall Excellent. I use Purify. In general it works well. Needs a few tweaks: 1) the whitelisted section under Setting needs more editing features such as add new site, edit url for existing whitelisted site, and wildcard capability, 2) text boxes that are responsive to larger text settings under accessibility, 3) text wrap in text boxes, 4) Often cannot recognize and delete social media icons/popups.

The best ad blocker on iOS. I’ve tried almost all of them, and this one takes the crown.

Not even 15 minutes later, failed to block a pop up. I PAIDED for this app, installed, turned it on, checked, rechecked, turned my iPad off and back on, checked to ensure it was still enabled, and only a few minutes after that....BAM! An ad popped up. It’s one of those annoying “your iPad has been chosen to get a gift card” pop ups. Not Impressed with app and more than a little annoyed

The Best Script Blocker for Safari. This app works perfectly with Safari. Purify, is a tailored fit script blocker for iOS and could not be easier to understand or learn how to use.

Great App. Blocks pretty much every annoying ad when browsing. If you hit an add wall just switch to reading mode. No more ads for me!

Don’t see Purify menu in Safari - iOS 14.2. I don’t see the Purify menu in Safari in iOS 14.2. Purify is enabled and lets me edit the URL whiteish when I open the app, but the Purify Safari action disappeared.

When you do things right. Nobody knows you're doing anything at all. Best app I've bought. Havn't had a popunder or browser hijack in so long it's hard to remember what they are like.

Doesn’t work, get 1Blocker or Adguard instead. This app used to work fine with blocking ads, but now it doesn’t at all. Still get pop-ups, ads for products I never want to buy, and a whole mess of other offenses. It does block some ads, but it used to block a whole lot more a year ago. Do not waste you money on this application!

Would love ability to set custom perms. per site. The app works great but, rather than completely whitlisting a domain, I'd love the ability to set granular permissions, i.e., allow ads and scripting on one site, but only scripting on another..

Perfect. Works amazingly. Set it up a few years ago, haven’t touched it since, flawless performance.

Best there is?. A while back I pitted a bunch of adblockers against each other and Purify came out on top. Only thing better was going the vpn/dns route.

Doesn’t block “congratulations you have won” pop ups. Reviews for this App claimed it successfully blocked the multitudes of “congratulations, you have won....” pop ups. They are slightly better, but the app doesn’t block enough of them to make it worth the small fee to purchase

Works Perfectly. Installed easily, setup was easy. Purify does what it claims—blocks ads and makes browsing so much better—and stays invisible. Excellent app!

Purify ad blocker. Had high hopes this would work. Still getting ads, even after being sure my Safari was connected to app. I have another blocker too, but I guess there are SO many ads they just can’t get them al😰. How do I stop getting your app and being charged for it?

Awesome app. It’s an awesome simple app. It just works, and blocks all the ads. Keeps your browsing safe. I’m not sure how much tracking it blocks.

Makes the mobile web tolerable!. Purify is outstanding at keeping today’s abusive and hyper-aggressive ad tech at bay. I’m shocked and appalled whenever I browse on a device without a content blocker installed.

Whitelist button usually doesn’t work. This app renders most websites useless unless you place it on whitelist. Unfortunately, the text doesn’t fit the format and actually prevents the whitelist toggle from being switched. Sadly I cannot post a photo of this here. I’m downloading another app blocker. Also doesn’t block most predatory popups.

Used to be beautiful. I’ve used Purify for ages. When first activated, I was so pleased with the blocking of huge amounts of clutter. Count me very pleased. Lately my tablets (all of them) have been getting buggy: apps load slowly and crash unexpectedly; videos won’t play in app, webpages occasionally can’t be loaded by Safari and so on. I tested for problems with the ISP, the VPN, the software updates and tried reboots. The situation deteriorated until I came to check Purify on the App Store. “Optimized for iOS 12.” What? Seems the developer has abandoned maintenance. Sooooo, I suggest you look elsewhere. Maybe use DuckGoGo as your browser, as its totally privacy oriented. This is a great app that went by the wayside.

Not updated in over a year. This cannot still be optimized without a update for this long. Appreciate the original product, but would like to know why it’s not been supported.
