App Works Really Well, but waaaayyy too expensive. Honestly if the free version was the same but just let me email my whole document at a time, this would be a five-star rating. I would even pay like a one-time $5 to get that feature. But instead it only lets me share 5 pages a day and it’s incredibly frustrating. I rarely need a scanner on my phone. I certainly don’t need it $40/year bad. It functions beautifully but it’s crazy over-priced and the free version limits it to near uselessness.

App Works Fine, Charged Me a Yearly Subscription after 3 Days. App works decent for what it is: a way to take pictures and automatically convert to PDFs. I downloaded this app and agreed to the free trial period. When I read it, I thought it was a 7 day trial. It’s my fault for misreading, but there was no notification from my phone like other subscriptions that it was about to renew/convert to a $40 charge. Again, I misread, BUT all of my other subscriptions have alerted me and this one did not. It wouldn’t have been a big issue if it had been $5, but $40 is a MUCH different issue. Pretty unhappy overall with this issue.

Like being relentlessly bombarded by ads?. I couldn't make a single move with this app without being dragged to the App Store and having some random app thrown in my face. I've never had to fight through so much crap to execute a simple function before. You hold it above a document and once it's got it in focus, it automatically takes the picture and cues itself for the next page, and this function seemed to work very well, actually. Then, I selected three of the six pages (the limit of the free version of the app) of the document to email to myself. What arrived was the first page, followed by some blankness which it called "pages 2 and 3". So, the violent onslaught of ads, combined with its failure to include the three scanned pages that it claimed it would send in the email attachment earns it zero stars! I will admit that it was good at the scanning part. Maybe everything functions properly when you buy the full version, but the free version doesn't even do what it claims it will do, and that makes me sad.

SCAM - DO NOT DOWNLOAD. It’s so sad that scams like this still exist. They tout everywhere that they are a free app, but sneakily sign you up for a subscription that doesn’t get charged for a while— they hope you’ve forgotten about it. Like many other reviewers, I downloaded and deleted this app in 1 day. They are relying on people who aren’t aware of how to cancel subscriptions (which is most people) to make money, which is very deceitful. I’ve disputed the charge on PayPal, reported suspicious activity on the App Store, and contacted them directly. Oh and of course I’ve canceled my “subscription.” I hope to get a full refund as it is not cheap!

Can’t email?. App keeps telling me that I need to set up an email to send scans but does not give any place (that I could find) to set up an email address??? I need these files emailed to me so what am I supposed to do? Update: you need to go into your phone and actually change your settings for your whole phone which I personally think is not something I want to do. There’s a reason I didn’t have an email address connected to my phone. Also the app should have those instructions somewhere instead of leaving the user hanging. Just saying “you need to set up and email address” does nothing to help me. Especially since most functioning apps allow you to set up an email address within them. I think it’s poorly designed but whatever.

Sneaky. It’s a really great app! Gets the job done exactly how I want, zero issues. I have no interest in paying for this app and the functionality of the free version is great. That being said it is a little misleading because it makes it seem like you’re required to either pay or start a free trial (and eventually pay) to use it which isn’t true. There’s a small x in the corner of these pop ups but if you don’t know what you’re looking for it seems like you can’t use it without paying money or agreeing to pay money in the future.

Awful app. Doesn’t scan properly and free trial tips you off. I signed up for the three day free trial. I tested out a number of documents on different surfaces in different lighting conditions. The app is useless. I had to resort to manually cropping each individual photo. Would rather use built in camera function than this clunky app. Worse yet, when I went to cancel, I had already been charged 40 dollars. The company has refused to refund me. Charging customers a full years’ worth of subscription for a product they dislike after a trial period is bad business and disingenuous to your own product. Thanks for reading, everyone.

BEWARE: Avoid. Figured there would be a free version like with some other scanner apps, but user is auto-enrolled to a subscription. Developer response here will be that it can and should be cancelled on my end. Here’s the thing. The app (already deleted) will show up in your “purchased” but if you go to cancel the subscription, as I have, during the trial period through apple settings, the app is not listed and no cancellation is possible within the trial period from what I can see. Instead, I froze my Apple Pay and payment information before this bait and switch operation takes $40 bucks. Run. I’ll deal with the adds from other scanning apps (which I was also already bombarded with in the 10 minutes of figuring out how to get rid of this app).

Trying to railroad into a subscription. I used this app to scan notes taken in class and forward them to others. Until today, this worked fine. However, now, when I try and share documents, it will not let me. I’m no longer allowed to save them to my iCloud, and when I try and attach them to an email, it sends the email without the document attached. I’ve tried restarting my phone, I’ve tried resetting the internet, none have worked. And now that I have sent multiple empty emails to myself, it says I’ve reached my free limit. Avoid this app

Good image quality, but horrible cropping tool. If you are going to use this app to scan from camera or photos app, it will give you good image quality compared to other apps I’ve used not compared to a 600+ dpi scanner, of course. The downside of this app is it’s cropping tool. It takes me too long to crop an image nicely with their current cropping tool. It’s so imprecise you could only guess you are cropping the edges. I’ve mainly use this app to combine pages I scan with my desk scanner and to split pages into separate files. The app is awesome to combine files from different sources, not optimized to split files though, because you can only do it with one or two extra steps. Once they fix the cropping tool I will give one extra star.

Helpful. I am a contractor and am still stuck in my Post It and hand written notes world. I tried a couple different scanner apps bu found this one to be the most user friendly. It does what I need it to, and saves it to my cloud as well. Very happy with the app. I gave only 4 stars because the scanner is at times a little picky with capturing the document, but not enough to warrant me looking for a different app. Two thumbs up! Thank you.

Review. I love the app for the way it works and stores the information neatly and super organized. Price of subscription for full app is quite expensive for what it is and what I need it for You should offer to option one such as a subscription and second option $2.99 at to purchase for someone that is just looking for basically for better words a digital filing cabinet on his phone.

The most useful app I have downloaded. This is literally the most useful app I have ever downloaded. It is not a cheap app, however it is worth its value to me 10x. I needed to scan documents and was having so many issues with my home HP scanner. I searched for a scanner app and this came up. It recognizes the pages perfectly and makes it very easy to organize and save them. It has never crashed even a single time. What used to take me an hour now takes 2-3 minutes. I’m never using a standalone scanner again.

Maybe it’s just me.... I like that I can do unlimited pages for a document. That feature is great. The negative aspects that are just driving me crazy, the auto detect doesn’t work well. I find I have to keep going back into the document and cropping it. Then the cropping tools, you have to scan, go back a page, then click threw a couple times to reach the cropping tool. VERY ANNOYING. I am doing massive scanning for my business and to have to go through this is rather tedious and I may just cancel even though I just purchased the membership today.

A Good Scanner but I wish it would..NEW UPDATE ⭐️. This scanner app is pretty easy with the one single exception, one cannot increase the size of your text when you want to review a document ! Ive tried everything I could think of but to NO AVAIL! I open a document to see what it says and the font is so tiny you can’t make out what the darn thing says! Example I tried to read a date on a insurance policy to see if the insurance was still active and forgot it!! I’ve tried emailing support and I hope they respond soon! Other than that I would have given it 5 ⭐️ stars! A NEW UPDATE! This scanner is now a FIVE STAR ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ app! With in minutes of emailing support I received a reply with the most simple instructions on how to increase the document in order for me to read it!! ( Im almost embarrassed as I didn’t think of everything to solve my dilemma... SO MANY THANKS 🙏🏼 YOUR APP IS AWESOME AND SO IS YOUR SUPPORT!!

System Failure. I downloaded this app last past summer. There wasn’t much I needed to send, and it ended up not working well for me, even when I added the free trail to try for better usage. Once that proved ineffective along with the poor organization of the app, the ambiguous layout of features, and the layers of fine print, I terminated my subscription and deleted the app. It was worthless. This last month, I noticed an odd charge on my bank statement. In spite of going into iTunes, canceling the subscription, and deleting the app months ago, I’d been charged for almost eight months!!! I reached out for help to end my subscription and seek restitution for this misuse of mutual trust and ethical dealing. This is unacceptable, and I see in the reviews that I’m not the only unfortunate drained by your parasitic app and its fine print.

Do not download. This app is a scam. I accidentally downloaded this app and it said it was free. I have to use my finger print when downloading an app. I immediately deleted the app after getting it, because I did not need it. A few days later I get a notification in my bank statement saying I was charged for the subscription. I tried contacting support but said that I could of canceled the subscription before the trial ended. When I downloaded the app my finger print must of been “agreeing” to the subscription and I had no idea. Now I’m out $40 I’m so upset with this company. I only had the app downloaded for minutes before deleting it.

Bad News — HORRIBLE App. Since you updated this app it’s been very difficult to manage. Please put it back the way it was and I will give you five stars again. But, leave it this way and I will drop it down to a -5 if I could. It’s difficult to know where to go to scan. After I hit everything a pull down menu shows up with scan at the very, very bottom. It’s a SCANNER to scan something should be placed at the top of the app not at the bottom of a pull down menu. I don’t like this app anymore. The scan button goes round and round about ten times before it clicks. I finally found the scan button but this whole app needs to be put back the way it was eight months or so ago before the update. It wasn’t broken — now it is — FIX IT, please!!

NO MORE HASSEL. I am well into my 6th decade & I’ve been scanning documents for well over 40 years...what a hassle but with this scanner App “the hassle is well over”. THIS APP IS SO EASY!!! It takes me about a minute to scan 21 pages. And I can scan anywhere in the world. the old scanner way, would’ve been two hours to scan two pages and I would have had to find a scanner somewhere or go home. My husband has been in commercial real estate for 40 years and we can work anywhere in the world that we want to and send our clients their needed documents. This app deserves 100 stars.

Be warned! They auto convert trial to paid and in 48 hours. Saw this app in store from ad and said it was free to try. I downloaded and installed and didn’t get to try it and was auto subscribed for almost 50 bucks. Only after that did I see that there was a no refund policy. Deceptive policy to say the least. They should give at least a week or two or limited trial before opting to buy. I may have like this app but had to give it one star due to taking my money without adequate notice there was no way to back out. Dev response is typical and inadequate. Don’t download this app unless you want to get charged after 72 hours, barely enough time to even look at the app. Total rip off!

The most annoying and inconvenient app ever. I downloaded this app to take a picture and scan just one document. I deleted it right after and had my automatic renewals setting turned off on my iTunes account but still got charged. After being charged I went and double checked that I wasn't subscribed for another week and it seemed like I wasn't. I got charged again. I checked AGAIN and there is no "unsubscribe" or "cancel subscription" button. I contacted the support team and they responded with: A successfully cancelled subscription should have its expiration date specified, have no subscription option selected and no "cancel subscription" button available. --to my knowledge all this was and still is true and yet if I get charged for another week I will be so much more furious than I already am! This app is not worth the hassle of using once unless you don't mind it eating slowly eating your money.

Better apps out there. I downloaded this app to scan 12”x18” documents for work. It helped me get the job done, so for that: 2 stars. However, the UI is not super friendly, there were some glitches when I tried to upload photos to my library, and the app processes photos with a high contrast filter. My documents were white and I took the photos on a black table as recommended. Still, the resolution came out not great. Why anyone would pay $40/year for a subscription is beyond me. I originally signed up for the 3-day free trial (which automatically enrolls into a year subscription if you don’t end it within 48 hours of downloading the app!!) It took me about 30 minutes to figure out how to end the subscription in my iTunes account. This could be a problem with iTunes itself, so I won’t blame Scanner. Anyways, would not recommend!

Couldn’t quite figure it out, but help arrived. Great app!!. Easy to scan and scans well. I’m by no means very tech smart so I struggled to send 5 copies to the same place. The tutoring that they offer only shows how to capture the image which ch is great, but to novices like myself, it’d be so much better to give more ‘how to information... HOWEVER, the developers left me a message following my review and it was super easy. Hopefully they’ve corrected the tutoring option for us non-techies... lol If you ever have any trouble, the app’s customer service is very quick to respond and help. Great app! 😃

You Scammed Me. I looked into this app knowing that it was free and because I need this for a school project. The first thing this app asked me was a subscription with a free trial followed by monthly payments. Knowing that I can unsubscribe anytime, I subscribed to the app only to find out that the app didn’t suit my needs. I immediately uninstalled the app from my phone and went to the App Store to remove the subscription. Somehow, this app still had access to my account and took money from me, which I was notified of today because I didn’t have enough money in my account. This is not ethical, and I want to get my money back. As proof, I can send the photo of my downloads. This app was downloaded on May 1, 2018 and deleted May 1, 2018. Please address this concern. Thank you. EDIT: To whom it may concern, I did go to the App Store and remove my subscription. I don’t understand how it my removal did not work. Again, I downloaded the app and found out it doesn’t work well on my phone. I then deleted the app from my phone and went to the App Store. I made sure that I removed my subscription the day I registered for the subscription. Somehow my cancellation did not work. I know how to unsubscribe from apps from previous experiences on my personal device and other devices. I just don’t understand how the I couldn’t unsubscribe this one time. Thanks for your response.

Unnecessary and going downhill. this app used to be really great. it was very useful and convenient, and great for organizing business like documents. However it is greatly gone downhill by adding advertising much of the time when you try to perform an action. and now that the iPhone has allowed the feature of scanning it has made this application unnecessary. if they want to improve this app that need to bring back the one time purchase option. when this up first began you paid for it once and that was that. Now even though I’ve already paid for the app before, I am now being bombarded with advertising again. It’s like being sold a product of them being robbed of that product just because they feel like it. So take away the advertising. Some of us got actual business things to do.

Buggy and Infuriating but Works If You Have No Other Choice. I do not recommend this app to anyone trying to get something done quickly, easily, and/or effectively. It’s full of bugs, crashes often, takes forever to apply edits and randomly reverts images back to their original form, and won’t let you send anything to yourself unless you buy their premium subscription which is ridiculously overpriced and used to be free. Even after you break down and buy the subscription because you have no time to do anything else, it takes two or three app restarts to get it to recognize that you’re a premium member and let you send anything. This app is a recipe for frustration and again I do not recommend it, but if you have no other way to get something scanned, I will admit that it EVENTUALLY produced a legitimate copy of a document I needed and so will probably do the same for you. Or you could just go find a different app that works correctly.

Horrible Service/Stay Away!!. I downloaded this app for the 3 days free trial to scan and email a 1 page document. I don’t know if it got there as the app does not send a confirmation message. Nonetheless, I decided to cancel the free trial, surprise there is no option to cancel subscription or membership on the app’s platform. I sent an email requesting the cancellation to avoid being charged. You guessed right, I received no response. Now, my Apple wallet card has been charged 9.99 + taxes. I am using my precious time to send a 2nd email request to be refunded the charge and have the subscription cancelled. We’ll see if I get a revolution by end of 5 business days. Otherwise, I will dispute the charge with my bank.

Charged for year subscription; did not want!!!. I was charged for the years subscription when I only intended to use the app one time. I assumed the app would do the monthly subscription and I would cancel. I have contacted apple and they will not refund my money. App works fine, but a shady way of doing business. I was glad to pay for my usage, but I do NOT want nor do I NEED this for a year. It’s a shame no one is willing to help. Great app, but lousy support!!! I do not recommend. I take responsibility for assuming the app would only renew at the smallest subscription, but it only renewed 2 days ago and for a year. I don’t understand why this can’t be changed to one month and my additional money refunded.

Fake and just want people’s money. I used this app because it was free for three days and then suddenly I got charged after three days. I was shocked because I didn’t have enough money in my account but this most idiot, poor and faulty app chat charged me. My balance is negative now which affects my credit history. They don’t say we don’t have access to people’s account for refund then how come you have access them to charge. Never ever buy their subscription. I hope there would be a negative rating for this app. I would like authorities to take notices about these fakes apps who just want people’s money.

Charged $43 for free trial that I cancelled BEFORE free trial ended.. I am very disappointed with the developers of this app. I temporarily needed this app to scan some paperwork for school, so upon opening the apps, after it gave subscription options, I chose the 3-day FREE trial. After I scanned the documents that I needed to scan, I promptly went into my App Store profile and went ahead and cancelled my subscription to be sure I didn’t get charged once the free-trial ended. All was well. A couple of hours later, I checked my bank account and noticed that my there was an apple store transaction for $43... mind you that it was a 3-day FREE trial and I was charged for a 1-year subscription to the app within hours. I never authorized this purchase and never provided and password, fingerprint or anything to verify or authorize the purchase. Overall, the app itself is fine, but because of this “scam” I would not suggest this app to anyone, nor will I ever purchase it again. I am not one to write reviews, but I am very upset and disappointed with this situation.

Poor replacement for tiny scanner. I had tiny scanner (free vs) for several years that worked very well. Drawback was u could only save 2 docs at a time. It stopped working and only pro is available- but at least its only a one time five dollar purchase. This app instead charges five dollars a week if you want the pro version. Absurd. The free version has convinced me he pro is deinotely NOT worth it. Ok so it would eliminate the constant annoying ads that pop up constantly. But the real killer is it iust doesnt do well at scanning. It often cant tell where a legal size doc ends- cuts it short half the time. And he worst part is even when u play eith b/w or greyscale and the filters to try to get it as clean as possible for printing, it fails. Tiny scanner did a much better job. So when u actually need to print out a scanned doc, it looks terrible. A ditto mahine would be 1000xs better. Probsbly more like 1MM TIMES better. Will be deleting this crappyapp

Confused. This app has been a god send for a year, and now it freeze’s right when the method to select send by email,or whatever you want to select, doesn’t matter it’s froze and I’ve closed app I’ve deleted and reinstalled but no luck. If you need an app like this for business purposes sadly after a year of using I would not recommend

Do not try free trial. This is the first time I ever write a review for an app on the app store. That in itself should tell you a lot. I tried the “free trial” because i wanted to upload some documents. The free trial clearly states you won’t be charged until it ends, which is 3 days. The instant I started it i was charged, I tried to cancel the subscription through the app but all they do is send you to their contact support. I canceled the subscription from my apple id and i am hoping it canceled as you can see from other reviews, people still got charged after canceling. I do not recommend this app.

Great for those who don’t scan too often. This program works really well and it is very effective. I’ve use it several times, and it is easy to use, and has good quality scans. I recommend this for anybody who has to scan documents from their phone and email them quickly.

Good but it just needs one thing. I use this app so much as a teacher and also student. The only thing that is REALLY ANNOYING is the “auto select” (for lack of a better term). When I want to capture a page of something, the app automatically selects what it thinks I want to scan (9.5/10 times it’s wrong). It would easily be 5 stars if this feature was optional because it is so frustrating to try to scan the same thing again and again and again.

Scanning has never been easier!. As Graphic designer I scan very often, especially the illustrations that I sketch on paper then I need to refine them and color them so I scan them using ‘Scanner for Me’ app and I love it. Because it gets me. I usually need the outline in black color and it has the feature where you can actually makes it only black and white so the result is so easy to convert it to a vector visual and use it as the base of my artwork. Thanks for this great app!

Scam. I literally just needed to scan one document, but the app made me agree to the *optional* 3-day free trial and the $40 charge before I could even see the rest of the app. I was desperate, so I wrote down how it said to cancel and scanned my document. To be fair, it did scan pretty well, especially for an app. Once I was happy with my scan, I followed the instructions to cancel my subscription, but there was no “cancel subscription” in the app as was stated when I agreed to the trial. There is no way to cancel by computer either. I had to log into iTunes and go to “manage subscriptions” in order to finally cancel and avoid the $40 charge. Next time I’m just going to buy a printer.

Scam. Do not use this app! I downloaded it for free because I needed to scan a few things. I then deleted the app from my phone and thought I was done. This morning I got hit with a $40 charge out of the blue. This app relies on the fact that subscription cancelation is a separate process from deleting the app; it’s deceptive, unfair, and disappointing. The app is looking to swindle anybody who doesn’t spend their entire day reading the thousands of pages of user agreements we’re all subject to just for existing in a technologically sophisticated world. So much for good faith and fair dealing! My refund request through Apple was denied, and $40 is a lot of money for a grad student with no income. Bottom line: don’t bother with this app because it preys upon people who assume that the company is acting in good faith.

Horrible. Not sure who is writing these reviews but I regret this (accidental) pro subscription. This app is horrible at capturing VERY clear and defined pages. Wife has another app that was MUCH CHEAPER that’s able to capture pages on the FIRST try without having to hover over a page for days on end for this piece of **** to recognize it. Even still you have to go back into the image to trim the edges (which is upsetting given the obvious contrast between the black surface and the white 8.5 x 11 piece of paper. SMH. Worst decision of my life [insert face palm]

Incredibly useful and always works. Much more efficient than purchasing a scanner for home. Also serves as a file folder to always have with me. Extremely practical for a small business or just a busy person who hates the clutter of paper. Hasn’t had any meltdowns, is always ready and the ads on the app are discreet so you can still get the job done without flipping through the constant pop ups that some other apps have. Great deal for a free app!

Meh. I downloaded this app for the free trial, intending to only use once as a convenient option to a scanner. Upon using for the first time, I found that it would not focus in on the documents I was scanning and would not allow for manual capture of documents. It would try to crop out bits and could hardly capture the full document. I had to end up finding a scanner to make the scans come out correctly, so this was useless for what I needed. Also, the app will automatically subscribe for you to begin paying a yearly subscription ($39) without mention. So be sure to either change that option or delete your subscription on your account after a few days before it charges you!

Buyer beware! Defaulted into $119 subscription. I downloaded this app in April 2017. I paid a one-time fee of $4.99 for unlimited use. Initially it worked as advertised, and I was generally happy with it from a functional standpoint. However, I just realized that starting in December 2020–over THREE YEARS after what SUPPOSED to be a ONE-TIME purchase—that I began being charged a premium subscription for $9.99 a month! Perhaps I was “informed” through some updated user agreement or other notification in 2020, and if that’s the case then missing it is on me. But I didn’t even know that apps could suddenly change from one-time purchases to subscriptions, and I would certainly have hoped that a dramatic price change would have been communicated in such a way as to be obvious to the consumers what was happening. Instead, I was DEFAULTED into one of their most expense subscription options. So if you are the same way—and you don’t CLOSELY track changes in your subscriptions or user agreements/notices year over year —you should probably avoid this app so you don’t risk ending up in situation like mine, where I have incurred more than $200 in UNANTICIPATED CHARGES from when I first purchased the app.

Great App! Just way more $$$ for best functions. Even with just its basic functions, this is a good scan app, but comparable to others. The best functions requires subscription to unlock, and that’s about $85 a year, or $6.99 a month. It’s way out of step with pricing for similar apps and functions. I tried about five Scan apps that had OCR or text recognition capabilities, or could be used together for same end result. Again great app. I’d give it 5 stars with its Premium features, but took two off for radical pricing.

Happy user. The app worked perfectly for an important document I was taking care of for my husband. Easy interface and capable of many mailing options including printing. I had 9 pages to scan, our printer wasn’t scanning so this was a great substitute. It only took a few minutes to do scan and send. As for subscriptions: READ people! Take responsibility for your decision- you really think this type of app is free to develop and keep up to date. I’m not a geek but I’m aware that I need to read about what they offer and their terms and all the information was there about the free use for 3 days and I had 3 days to cancel, and they were great about telling me where I needed to go to cancel. It was right up front.

Don’t Trust Free Trial. This is a good app, but I too got charged because I did not understand how to cancel my subscription. This is more on the fault of iTunes than the app. iTunes needs to make the deletion of app subscriptions a more clear and well known process. However, it would help if apps like this had a “how to cancel subscription” notice so that users know to delete in their phone settings. Otherwise one feels like the app is hiding this info in order to scam.

Amazing. I had to have a pdf scanner for a class and I did a few free trials on different apps and ended up getting a subscription for this one because it is so good! I had to take pictures of my homework pages in the car and even though all the pictures were super blurry and shaky when I took them, the results were amazing- all of my pages turned out so clear! Highly recommend

Scanner App.!. I think so far it’s a great app.! It was alittle of a bummer when I found out I could only do 5 pages a day, (scanned and sent pages) but it is easy to use and simple to send a pdf to someone. And I was very happy to find it and not have to go to office supply center! My printer burned up in a fire and I really miss my scanner printer. All in all it’s very convenient, but I do not like being asked all the time to upgrade!! And I have to be careful not to hit the ok and accidentally sign up! One day maybe?

Easy use, clear documents scan!. I have 8 scan apps most have to many options making it harder than it should be for scanning a document or photo. This app scans, text is sharp, clear and saving were I want to save is easy. I have to give it a 5 out of 5. I haven’t purchased the paid premium yet. Have 2 more to test out, but doubt they have the simplicity to capture a document text as easy as this app.

Does not recognize textbook pages consistently. I downloaded this app so I could scan my textbook so I do not have to carry it with me everywhere. Whenever I use the manual or automatic setting for recognizing pages, it ALWAYS zooms in on a small section of the page and not the entire page. There have been a few times it will focus on the entire page, but a majority of the time it’s a hassle to deal with. If you value your time, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. I should not have to spend several minutes taking a picture and then correcting the size for a single page when I need to scan 80 other pages. I also paid for the pro package to use the OCR, but the OCR failed to recognize more than a few words on my documents. Wish I could get a refund because if I had known this was how the app would function, I would not have bought it. The quality of scans is ok, which is why I give it two stars instead of one.

You can take pictures with your phone just as easily. I got the app in order to take pictures of documents (of course) for enrollment for my benefits at work. I’ve used a docuscan through the Dropbox app and fell in love with the scanner. Unfortunately I can’t use the Dropbox to email docs from my phone so I searched for an app that I can just save documents to my phone. I was disappointed when realizing these apps require paid subscriptions but I downloaded this one anyway. I couldn’t believe the lack of quality for this app despite the requirement to pay a subscription for it. The document sensor is off and clips non document backgrounds and the quality of the image is lack luster. I was just as well off taking pictures of my documents with my camera phone with no app and sending them. Very unprofessional looking, I hope my HR department even accepts them.

Be careful with the 3 day free trial. I subscribed to the “3 days free trial” but this app set the default upgrade, ie after the trialing period to $56 (!?). This is ridiculous. I wished I checked the reviews before I use this as many people have reported the same issue. The developer just copy and paste their responses (ie cancel subscription under your Apple ID. I did it!) Good luck for those subscribed to the free version.

Not totally useless. But close. Sure take a picture and see a scan created. Forward it by email? In your dreams. File on the phone ? Not any visible method Save in your iBooks? No way I can see. Therefore, not quite but almost totally useless. But who am I to judge? I have only used iPhones 12 years and PCs for coming up 40 Im sure these things can be done: but life is too short to untangle just HOW!!!!!!

Read the fine print - cancel the trial. The developers will charge for a full years subscription if you don’t actively cancel the 3 day free trial period. As they will point out in their response to this review they haven’t done anything wrong and the onus is on the consumer to read the fine print however there isn’t a lot of effort put into warning of a full 12 month subscription about to start. A notification would be nice but then you’d make way less money so I get it. Not a good app.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE 3 DAYS FREE TRAIL! When you download the 3 days free trail, they will automatically charge you monthly subscription free after 3 days without your consent. I contacted the customer support two times and requested do not charge me the monthly subscription fee. But the customer support just ignored my request. Finally, I have to solve the payment problem with Apple directly. It is absolutely a Scam!! Very bad experience!!!

Rubbish app. This app charged me for a monthly subscription that cost more per month than for a year subscription It is v very very dodgy and hard to cancel. I do not recommend anyone download it. It gets a 0/10 review from me.. I want a refund for all the fraudulent charges to my credit card that did not appear for a few months until I logged into my Mac account and found them in there.

Do not do a trial!. I read the terms which are clear unless u wish to cancel a trial in ITunes. Issues with 3 day trial were 1. Can’t cancel as indicated by app description. Terms are it must be cancelled 24 hrs before trial period expires …. But since it us not a subscription yet … no way to cancel!! 2. Can’t select the subscription u want … terms are it will go onto a 1 ur subscription. Wanted a month so I could use & try it more . This has made me wary of doing a trial period with any app from now on.

Great little app. A girlfriend introduced me to this amazing time saving app. Now I can scan legal documents anywhere and any time.

Good but could be even better. The app scans the documents as soon as it is in view in the screen. Perhaps with some development changes to allow the user to centrally place the document on screen and allow them to press a button to capture the image would be far better. I’ve scanned documents which have had the bottoms cut off or looking tilted before and had to re do them.

Trial for free. I was just wanting to try the app, the trial version charged me $56, why? So disappointing that I didn’t even get any notification that it will cost this much. I can barely afford to pay my phone bill. When I saw the charges in my statement of account I nearly cried and literally slap my self for falling into this app, called my friend who suggested this app and she was shocked as I was. Please give notification and be clear with the price, it wasn’t fair!

Ok for purpose. A friend recommended this to me. I’ve only had it a week and it has scanned the documents I needed. I’m not sure I like it as there seems to be a lot of “marketing” designed to get me to upgrade, even on the few documents I have scanned so far. Makes me think a photo is easier and less intrusive. As a newbie to this ap I may not be using it properly but I find it hard to attach the scans to already existing emails having to make a fresh email to send the scans, breaking the conversational thread. Haven’t quite figured out how to save my docs to other places. Seems like a one use only scan is available. But maybe that is me?

Would be a really great app but.... Would be a really great app but you can only do the bare minimum on the free version and the upgrades are ridiculously expensive especially for something that I need but do not use everyday was extremely disappointed.

Unknowingly accepted a full membership?. I personally found the marketing strategy very sly. Somebody not very good with technology can very easily sign up for a year without knowing it. Looking at other reviews, I wasn’t the only one who accidentally signed up for a year. I immediately canceled the subscription. Quite disappointing :-)

Generally good. When the scanner works it is very straightforward and easy to scan and share documents. However, there are times when for unknown reasons it just can’t find the document. Light can also reflect off the document and ruin the image too. Overall though it is a helpful scanner.

Simple to use.. I use this app for my work as I’m often required to take copies of documents where there isn’t a copier or scanner available. It is truly invaluable. It is simple to use and I email the finished doc to myself as a complete PDF.

Horrible. I downloaded this app and it’s horrible. I did the free trial and I did not want to pay so I removed my card information. Now they are saying that I have to pay and it is not letting me update anything on my cell phone. This is a violation of my privacy. You people have no right not to let me download or update anything on my phone. You don’t pay for my devices I do. Please fix this issue or there will be consequences. Cancel my membership because I don’t know what you people did.

Scanning for the novice or pro. This is the most easy scanner I have used. Top features is hold device over document and once in focus the app captures. Next, there are several options of sending. I do however, wish the monthly price following the trial were cheaper.

New version worse?. Very satisfied user for several years. BUT, after installing the new version, scanner captures everything the camera sees. Checked settings and ‘smart capture’ is turned on but not working. Makes the app useless. Help! Contacted customer service twice and they could not resolve the issue. Didn’t convince me they understood the problem. So I just deleted the app and continue to search for a decent scanner app that does NOT have a subscription fee structure.

Game Changer!. I never take the time to write reviews but this app has legitimately changed my life. For some reason or another my home and office scanners always give me trouble. I had to use this app so much as a back up that it has become my main mode of faxing rather than a back up.

I am happy to pay for a service that is forthright and functional. This is not. There is a special place in Hell for developers and their marketing teams that make garbage like this. Looks like an app acts like a scam. It’s “free”, except that after 3 days it automatically renews it’s self to a paid ANNUAL subscription. I was able to cancel my subscription within the very first day as a soon as I noticed this, but the fact that they do this just automatically is a total scam to try and get your money. Don’t waste your time with this app. There are plenty of other scanner apps that are free and you don’t ha w to worry about “accidentally” rolling over into a subscription with them. Don’t support app Las that have these unscrupulous practices.

Easy and efficient. Makes it easy to keep receipts other documents I need for so many parts I’ve been busy not life organized. From documents of continuing education to medical documents, etc. I can always keep things on the go organized and at my fingertips.

Impressive. Let me start off by saying, I always look for great apps to make things more convenient for my life. This app is trying amazing! I had a situation with my bank and I needed to fax some documents over and I didn’t have a fax machine. This scanner app gave me the ability to fill out their document scan it and email back within minutes! I love it!

Terrible. This is the worse scanner app I ever used. First of all, it did arranged your documents when you have multiple pages. It lets you resort them, but only when there’s multiple pages on the screen that are too small to see. Secondly, the size stays the same as the photo, so the document ends up being too big to send. The worse part is that the automatic scanner does let you manually shoot the photo of the document, so it takes a picture when it’s out of focus and twisted. Terrible, terrible app!!

Does the job.. Like most scanner apps, it does the job. Has some feature off by default that I think should be on by default and able to turn off. Would give it a higher rating, but the ads are the most frequent interruptions of any free app I have ever used and also very/overly pushy about the premium service. I am always looking for apps recommend to my students and this is just has ads too often and too pushy for me to put on my recommendation list. Genius Scan is by far most used by my students without issues. Other less popular tend to have issues. Rocketbook very good for note taking as well, but have to use their notebooks or their free paper.

Made me pay for the “free trial” and terrible scans. I selected this app for the free three day trial. Within the first two minutes of me trying to scan a document, a thing popped up that asked if I wanted to continue to use the app and I clicked yes and suddenly it charged me $3.99. Before I realized it charged me, I took three scans and all three were warped and unreadable. I’m not sure where the free trial went but being a broke grad student, not impressed with the sneaky money grab. I would recommend “Scanner for Me” app instead. Transparent free trial and the scans were much clearer.

This is awful. I downloaded 2 scanning apps and quickly scanned the same document in each to determine which is the better app to upgrade to. This app made me click through about 20 declines of upgrading (which was also outrageously expensive compared to the other app), and ultimately the scan was illegible (document had some hand writing and signatures). I would recommend the app Tiny Scanner instead for basic document scanning needs. I can’t fathom why I would pay money for something when the free trial doesn’t work.

Great App. So the app os fantastic! Does everything you could want with the ease of access you need! The only thing I don’t like is all the pop up stuff about upgrading. I get it, you wanna make money, but give me a break. Tell me the options available one time and then let it go. Now, I’m saying that.....If I scanned enough daily for a paid subscription it would be well worth it, but I don’t at least not currently.

You Guys are false advertising with your free trial. You are scamming people.. You are charging my account even though you said I had a free 3 day trial. I deleted the app the same day I downloaded it. So I shouldn’t have been charged at all. This is definitely false advertisement and I don’t appreciate it at all. I see other reviews having the same issue with your app so that shows it’s not us it’s you. Your doing the wrong thing by taking our account info then charging us for a trial that you said was free. Just canceled!. Yesterday you updated this app. When I went to use it today I found that all my files for the last year and a half were gone and I was left with a blank screen that did absolutely nothing. No thanks! I just canceled my subscription!

Wow!. I am a high school senior and I needed a scanner to scan my official transcript to send to a scholarship last minute. I don’t have a scanner, so I downloaded this app am glad I did! It got the job done! I had to get a free subscription to send more than 3 files, which is understandable. Thank you to whoever made this, works great!

This app auto charge with out concern. I was charged $42 for 1 year payment that this app asked me was a subscription with a free trial followed by monthly payments. I looked into this app knowing that it was free and and first thing this app asked me was a subscription with a free trial followed by monthly payments, but I was charged for a 1-year subscription. I do not want to use this app for one year but no change for me to get money back. I hope the other should be alerted to auto subscribe from this app. I am very disappointed with the developers of this app.

Teacher Essential. This app allows me to turn all images of students work in as PDFs. I can upload previous word docs, google docs, handwritten notes all as PDFs. Uploading for Students is wonderful. I encourage them to get this app. Multiple pages in one document make essays easier to read. Thank you!!!

SCAM like everyone else said.... we tried FOUR trials - ALL cancelled (except the one we liked and kept) - So technically we attempted to cancel THREE and this was the ONLY one that screwed us. With all the other commenters saying the SAME thing- It’s not a coincidence. We contacted the business Visa card and they removed it and are discussing with Apple. Letting Apple handle a disgraceful company’s unethical practices. The App Developer did finally respond. They informed that cancelling is the subscriber’s responsibility. And they gave a brief description of where to go in my settings to get to the screen to cancel. And they suggested that if that didn’t work, then contact Apple directly. What they fail to grasp is that all those steps were attempted prior to complaining None of those steps were successful in canceling the subscription.

GreAt app sucky prices. I personally like it saves me time from having to go to the store or library to scan papers and send them the only negative is how much the subscription is it’s not an app you will be using everyday so don’t like having to pay so much but overall it does the job

Unhappy customer. In attempt to cancel my free trial the app somehow enrolled me in the full year subscription. I emailed to rectify this a still haven’t heard anything. I admit that I may have missed something and made a mistake. But honestly I’m pretty sure I unsubscribed. I emailed right after it enrolled so I would expect some understanding in human error would happen. I feel then that they have taken my money for a service I don’t want or need. As of now if I could give them zero stars I would. Customer services and support is nonexistent.

Handy little app. I have been using Scanner for Me for at least two years and absolutely love it. Sure, I could just take a picture, but this handy little app gives me a clear, sharp pdf image every time. It is my “go to” scanner for almost everything.

Unnecessarily complicated. The app first offered multiple options for subscriptions to use the full features, then removed them when I came to purchase the original one I wanted. Did not fully explain the limitations that come without a full subscription. Outside of withholding information that would have been EXTREMELY useful prior to my using the app it works well. Personally I wouldn’t have minded paying but the hoops they made me jump through ruined the entire experience for me. Be ready to pay.

Pay attention to the fine print. I downloaded the application, but didn’t pay close enough attention. It turns out, you have to commit to a month to month subscription to get to the free trial. Even if you never use the app and delete it within a few minutes, like I did, you will still be charged $7 a month until you go through the App Store and cancel the subscription. I have looked into getting my money back for the first month, but haven’t been able to find an easy solution.

The Best Scanner of all. Scan Hero is very easy to use. It does a better job than my large printer/ scanner. And it has an OCR works very well. But the scans are very clear. The Scan Hero locks in on the page or paper and takes a very nice and clear copy. Whoever made this app has done a wonderful job of it.

I’ve liked it, but…. Though I have really liked the convenience and ease of using this app, I just tried to open it and I just get a blank screen!! I’m praying that I haven’t lost all the documents and photos I’ve stored there!! I don’t know who to go to to troubleshoot this!! Is there a time or overall size limit to the free version’s use??

Read the app description. Got this app to submit assignments, you get the first three picture to pdf conversions and then it harasses you to subscribe for $9.99 monthly. There are better apps out there that are actually free, because you cannot unsubscribe from the app. The app is easy to use but If you have more than one item to convert you’re probably better off searching elsewhere because it’s only “free” after a trial period that consists of three pdf conversions.

Perfect For Scanning and Convert to PDF. This app I have used for 7 years and it has always come in clutch when I needed it. I highly recommend this app. You can even convert a picture in your camera roll into a PDF. Helpful for my small business and personal items I take care of.

Overall not bad. You have to make sure that you do not have any documents under the one you wish to scan,otherwise it will scan that partially as well . Hold camera still . Overall not bad !

Excellent app. Using this app has been a pleasant surprise. I only intended to keep it for a short time but I’ve used it so often that I’ve decided it’s a keeper. Very easy to use and I’ve never had any problems with it. Would highly recommend!

Horrible. Is the same as you phone camera.. Unbelievable. This app advertises and being capable of scanning a documento using your camera from your phone and turning it into a PDF file but it doesn’t do that at all. I scanned a PDF document that I need to send over email and the result of the “scanner” is the very same of taking a picture of the document. To make the experience even worse, I chose the option free trial ( 3 days ) and was affirmed I can cancel at any time but can’t find the option anywhere to cancel it before they charge me $43 or so for the whole year. That’s absurd.

Scanner app. Easiest scanner! Just had to remember to pull back enough for the edges to be seen 2nd review: I did not realize until the person I was sending to couldn’t find my email- the page I scanned was white, but what he got was yellow! I printed it out, couldn’t change settings in time to do grayscale, so I have a beautiful YELLOW sheet of music! Uhhhhh

Email. I have tried to contact someone to help me for months. When I go to send a document it won’t let me because it says I have to set up an email first. I’ve used this for years and there is no place I can find that allows me to add my email. Very frustrating.

Efficient. This app is easy to use and worked efficiently. I have used a different scanning app prior and it is not as easy. I would recommend this app to others who need to scan documents for work and/or school from their phone. Like for instance I was able to send a document on vacation! Awesome!

Confident Docs. So far utilizing this app has helped tremendously showing pictures of our vaccines and passports when we miss placed them once! I love having all my government paperwork and personal documents and data all in one place for quick access!

Very Happy User. I downloaded the app after reviewing several options because of the good reviews. I am in sales and need the ability to make pdf’s out of my pictures pretty often. I wasn’t able to use the free version so I chose the upsale option. After a couple of months of heavy use, I am very happy to have and use the app! -Greg S

Desperate for money. This app will cost you FIFTY DOLLARS for absolutely nothing. It scans documents poorly. It has ads everywhere. It notifies you when you close the app, BEGGING you not to delete it, because the developers are FULLY AWARE that it is a scam that people recognize and are desperate for your business by scamming you. You might as well just send your money down the toilet. I hope the developers mothers are proud of how they turned out, scamming unaware people out of money over an app that essentially just takes pictures but charges you for it. Download another app.

Scanner in my pocket. I have had this app now going on …. Years. Hasn’t failed me in a scanning pinch. I use it mainly for documents but have done photos etc. updates seem regular and I have recommended it to friends and even people at the airport when I overhear a struggle getting a document to someone.

Don’t Bother. I’m a college student and I have been using this app for almost a year. It was super great and easy to navigate until recently. I’m only able to share three scans per day (which is ridiculous considering my homework is 10+ pages long) and then the app prompts me to pay $6.99 plus tax to “upgrade.” BS. I’m switching to a different scanner, or simply using my printer/ scanner to scan things in. I used an app because the ease of access is much greater, but now it’s impossible to do anything on it. I do not recommend Scanner for Me.

Buggy and not free.. I was trying to scan some thing with this app and it is really difficult to make the app capture just what you want. It’s not a good scanner app at all. And you can’t even start it up without signing up for a subscription which is $10 a month just to use the app or have it on your phone. Unbelievable high price for an app that there are free ones that work better. And there is no cancel button you have to email the company to tell them you want to cancel and make it really difficult.

Want your money!!!. I can’t cancel my subscription through the app I’m going to have to go through the customer service and do extra stuff to cancel my membership. Why make it confusing to cancel your membership? There’s a settings channel with a manage subscription button, and when you press the button it tells you when your next billing date is, that’s it!!!!! Where’s the managing part of you can’t even do anything??? What a scam!!

Exceptional Scanning/PDF App!. Really comes through during tax season!! I do electronic taxes and really trust this app to scan and PDF my documents in high resolution! I am also a post-graduate student and really rely on the app for my documents! Have 4/5 stars bc of the monthly fee of $10. Of course, anything cheaper would be great!!! But still recommend!

Great Program Really Helps. This program has proven to be invaluable for my business in scanning documents on the fly. It’s taken my business from shooting photos of files page by page to truly scanning and submitting as a full file while working away from my office.

Subscription. I accidentally signed up for the 3 day trial then subscription. I immediately emailed support and tried to cancel. The instructions they sent me to cancel were difficult for me. I emailed them again on the third day for assistance on cancelling. I did not receive a second response from support. I finally was able to access the subscription and cancel it today. They have already charged my account. I have never used the subscription features. I do not want it. I’m very upset that I’ve been charged $40ish because I did not get precise instructions on cancelling.

Excellent app to upload and send a pdf. Have used this app for about 6 years now. Love it for work documents and personal that I need to send. I just take a picture and hit upload. Even keeps pages in order. Life saving!

Great App!. Great so far, my only gripe is trying to crop the scanned document image, the software keeps moving the crop corners back to their original location. I also wish it would replace image text with actual text in the same size and format to reduce the size of the PDF. Also wish it would align text that’s wavy due to paper that isn’t flat (flatten). I think it tries to, but it could do better.

Never Fails, it’s a Scanner in your Pocket!. You have a scanner in your pocket with this app! I’ve had the app almost 2 years now and it has saved me numerous times in time sensitive situations when I needed to send a properly formatted scanned document via email, plus it’s very easy to use.

Decent for most things I assume but for books... The ai auto select thing they have is very annoying when trying to scan books. It will select a paragraph instead of the page it’s supposed to and then you have to go back and do it again hoping the ai bot will do it right. A Manual locked rectangle would be perfect for this problem. It makes it very annoying to use after a while
