A 2nd number for your smartphone—that’s your Sideline®.
Sideline is the fastest-growing phone solution for businesses, teams, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and anyone who needs a 2nd number. Your second number comes with all the features of a regular phone number such as calling, texting, voicemail, and more. On top of that, everything works with your existing carrier network (instead of Wi-Fi), making Sideline the most reliable and highly-rated phone app out there.
The Sideline Subscription gets you unlimited access to all of the great calling, texting, and voicemail features with premium support. ($9.99/month or $99.99/year In-App Purchase Required)
WHY SIDELINE? – With Sideline, there’s no need to carry two cell phones, stay tied to a landline, or use your personal number for work.
HOW IT WORKS – Your two numbers simply live in different apps. Separate caller ID, notifications, and ringtones make it clear who’s contacting you—and on which number.
CUSTOM NUMBER SELECTOR – Choose your area code and search memorable numbers like, “(555) DOG-WALK,” or combinations that are “JUST4U.”
NUMBER PORTING – Already have a 2nd number? Bring it with. Porting lets you transfer existing numbers to Sideline from another device or landline.
CARRIER RELIABILITY – Unlike other calling apps that only work over Wi-Fi, Sideline uses your phone’s existing cellular network*. This gives you the same great call quality you get from your regular number.
TEXTING & CALLING – Texting is unlimited. Calling works with your carrier plan so minutes (which are probably unlimited) get shared between your two numbers.
SEPARATE VOICEMAIL – Greet callers with a professional voicemail greeting for your Sideline number. You can even set up multiple voicemails for any circumstance.
VOICEMAIL-TO-TEXT – Get your voicemails transcribed and conveniently read them as a text message.
AUTO-TEXT REPLIES – Every missed call is a customer you may never get back. So Auto-Reply lets you engage customers with a text message whenever you miss their call.
TEAM NUMBER – Let your phone number ring simultaneously on multiple devices so your whole team can call, text, and respond from one line. Sharing a number improves company collaboration, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction.
VoIP CALLING – Make phone calls over WiFi if your carrier network doesn’t have a stronger cellular connection.
SALESFORCE INTEGRATION – Access your Salesforce contacts and leads with Sideline. Then log calls and business communication so you can always be closin’.
OPTIONAL UPGRADES –––––––
MANAGE MULTIPLE NUMBERS – Remotely manage multiple numbers and turn employee phones into an entire company phone system. (Enterprise account required. See Sideline.com for details)
The required Sideline Subscription and all other in-app purchases are automatically billed monthly or annually to your iTunes Account and auto-renew, unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Payments will be charged to your iTunes account upon confirmation of purchase. You can turn off auto-renew or manage subscriptions in your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the active subscription period.
*Data and Internet connectivity are still required for general functionality. “Using your carrier network,” makes call quality more reliable than calls over VoIP or Wi-Fi.
Hawaii, Alaska and the US territories aren't currently supported.

In addition to regular performance improvements, here are the noteworthy things we fixed:
* Improved Outbound Call Experience: The screen that re-prompts you to initiate a call now more clearly articulates what's happening. Since you shouldn't need to be re-prompted in the first place, we're working on a more long-term solution that gets rid of this screen altogether. Stay tuned.
* Fixed Calling Alert: We removed an alert that sometimes appeared right after users placed an outbound call. The alert said you were placing a call. But you already knew that, so we got rid of it.
If you're enjoying Sideline, consider leaving us a review. And as always, check back here for regular improvements every couple weeks.
I deleted this app after one day and now months later I’m being charged ten dollars. Refund my money, I didn’t even have the app on my phone anymore. I’m definitely not using it, don’t scam people.
Never buy this app. Do not spend one cent on it!! Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!
There are plenty of free options now that Sideline has decided to bait and switch users who relied on the app as a second number. There's google voice, freetone, freedompop, talkatone, and many others. Sideline reps respond to the bad reviews here saying their subscription model is for the good of the customer but I don't see how $10 per month for a mediocre voip app is anyway good for the customer. Good luck with the failing model Sideline, you'll probably learn you were better off serving ads.
Most helpful app I own.
I have read many of the reviews and the Developers response to them. The subscription change? I get it. Their business needs the income to justify the resources it needs to keep the app up and further develop it. However, what I don’t hear is a plan on how they plan to fix bugs many users are stating. I see them talking about new features, and I will be excited for them when they come. I would be excited now if the feature they are supposed to have now worked properly. Example: Their “Caller ID” I have calls and texts from those who are in my contacts, but it doesn’t show their name, only their number. You would think that type of integration would be obvious. I have been using Sideline for a year, have voiced my feedback to them, and .... nothing. Example: I answer a Sideline call and know that I need to wait several second before saying “hello” because, for some reason, the call isn’t connected right away. I’m fine with your new subscription model, but please listen to your loyal customers.
I would pay for your subscription if it worked properly on my device
I can’t believe this app actually thought they could charge for it. Good luck guys. See ya in bankruptcy. Such a dumb move.
I don’t understand why people give this app less than 5 stars? This app is super important and worth the 9.99. It’s reliable and all the updates improve it. It’s only 2 Frappuccinos a month, if you think about it.
With the integration of VoiP calling we should be able to use DATA ONLY instead of CELLULAR MINUTES. or vice versa. I do not want all of my calls ran through my carrier minutes. It defeats the purpose of having a “sideline” which was the original principle me downloading this app in the first place. I’d pay 80.00 a year if you would add this option. PLEASE

Service was JUST OK but definitely not worth paying for. So disappointed they got greedy
Why you have to paid when it was free for that I go google voice it free. To paid $10 I stay with my phone Carrier and add a second line on my same phone bye sideline
Great services UNTIL you started charging money. It’s been great but now I gotta go ! It’s a shame that the services and constant advertising interrupt your free service . And to think I recommended this app to well over 50 people. Bye !
I get this about a year ago and it was free now it cost $$$ why
This was a great app when the subscription was optional. Now they make you pay to even use the service. I was using this app for about a year and it was great. Plus I didn’t mind the ads. People like me help make this app popular and now they want to force you to pay for it.
Edit to add on 11/3/17: After some back and forth through email and text everything was fixed. I appreciate their support staff working with me to come to a resolution. They were friendly and helpful. I have changed my previous rating from 1-star to 5-stars. Thank you! --------- I'd been a monthly subscriber for over a year, paying their asking price of $3/month. Even got a message from them awhile back saying not to worry about what I heard about the price going up, it's not going to happen. (First I'd heard of it). Opened the app today and it said i have to pay $10/month for a required subscription. This is the number on my business cards, website and all my advertising so you can imagine my frustration. After the way they have done loyal customers I sincerely hope the company goes belly up. This is not the way to operate and expect to keep customers. You want to raise the prices fine. But don't tell me you aren't and not to worry about it then let me try to use the app one day only to see my second (business line) has been high jacked for ransom. Despicable and infuriating. All the worst to you, sideline.
I don’t like the fact that it only works fine when connected to WiFi network. When using date can’t sent nor receive text messages. One more thing. If not connected to WiFi and you receive phone call it connects to your primary number and if not answered the call goes to your primary voicemail. Would like to get money back
So, I've been using Sideline for work purposes for a couple of years now. There are often times that I need a specific area code number so I switch regularly. Today I went to get a new number and behold it's telling me I have to pay a monthly service charge now which is a real bummer. This really is a great service especially in my line of work but I can't justify paying a monthly service charge for it. So I’m updating my review today and reading through the “latest” reviews. Most of which are fake reviews with consumers raving about paying $9.99 a month for the service. It’s sad that Sideline now has employees pumping out fake reviews to inflate their product.
The call quality is great since it runs on the phone line and not data. I used to carry around two phones, one personal, one business. Now everything is on one phone! The bad reviews all seem to be from people who are upset that sideline is $10/month. I don’t know how anyone expects a company to operate a service like this for free. Also good luck finding a second phone line for $10/month. This is a great app at a great price!
UPDATE 2: I tried to give them another shot. The quality has not improved at all. I called a few different numbers (different services/carriers) and left voicemails so I can hear myself. I sound horrible. Muffled. Like I have a mouth full of marshmallows. I did not had this issue at all before this subscription model. Save yourself cash and find a different service. Original: I have had Sideline for years and it worked very well. However, since they switched to a Subscription model, the sound quality has gone down the drain. Every call I've placed and received has been met with complaints of how bad I sound to them. They also are muffled and not very clear to me. I had signed up for a year subscription because the service was great before. I regret it now with how terrible the sound quality is. Improve it and I will update my review. UPDATE: After a few days back and forth with their support, nothing has been done. They look for anything else to be the cause of the problem- Wi-Fi, cell service, iOS update. They are not acknowledging that it's their system. I lose out on $70 and the cost of porting my number out. But I'd rather have two phones at this point.
