Cool mechanic, poor design. The rhythm mechanic works pretty well. The issue is when the game starts becoming about memorizing than reacting. Maybe that's what they were going for, but around the fourth stage I was getting VERY frustrated when I would react to an obstacle, and then after I had reacted that same obstacle would be replaced with another and then I'd die. Again, perhaps that's what the devs were going for, but for me it just turned into a long and frustrating session of remembering that that floor was gonna cave in, and that spike on the floor is gonna turn into a wall the second I try to jump over it.

Could be Great. This game could be awesome. Easy levels are to easy but medium and hard are ridiculous. Trying to play through a level and it takes you almost 50 tries. Really don't want to spend that amount of time on one level. The beats are nice but only 3 different beats to choose from or if you want more you have to pay. Half the time I tap the screen for the game it doesn't pick it up causing me to hit something and have to try again. This game is more frustrating than fun. Luckily I got this for the free game of the week. Really don't see myself playing this even when I'm bored. Deleting it today.

Great with one complaint. This is a pretty well designed game. In each level you can choose three difficulty tiers to play at (easy/medium/hard) which is a very nice feature - it makes it so you can enjoy the game at a learning curve that you have control over, so I'm not sure why people are complaining it's too hard when you can just choose the easiest difficulty tier for each level if you're having trouble. The style of this game is similar to Geometry Dash, where you essentially jump in rhythm to avoid obstacles (and also gets very hard). I think this game is unique enough, though, that I don't feel like I'm just playing a Geometry Dash ripoff. After completing ~10 levels with 3 stars, I do have one major complaint: on the "hard" difficulty (and eventually medium, too), you frequently run into a particular obstacle where the pillar in front of you changes height instantaneously right before you reach it which gives you basically no time to react. Essentially, this makes it a huge trial and error process where you have to play over and over to memorize where things randomly change height. I found this extremely frustrating, since this just makes the game artificially difficult instead of being based on skill. I really don't like playing levels that have are heavily saturated with this cheap gimmick (which is like all of them in the later levels).

Wrong Device. This game would be perfect for a controller or keyboard, but it's terrible for a mobile device. I've played games like this before, all you need is reflexes and a good sense of beat. However, I am unable to coordinate my fingers from rest, then back to screen without a short delay—a delay this game punishes. On a controller or keyboard, your finger rests on the trigger, so there is little delay. I can't stand hovering my finger over the screen for the next jump or jumps. Do you play an instrument with your fingers an inch away from the keys/strings? I suppose I could beat my phone with my hands like a drum, but then I'd be blocking the screen. To summarize, this is a terrible MOBILE game. I'd say otherwise as a computer or console game. Although this game is a bit simple when I think of games with a controller, that doesn't make it suitable for mobile devices.

Not so fun. As soon as I get the game it’s so fun and then once I get to level 1 it won’t play the music at all and second of all once your done ad ! Die and reset? Ad! It’s not really good and needs upgrades

Harder. I love the new design and creative ways to mix up the levels. However it is harder than the first game and more frustrating. I feel like the difficulty jump from easy to medium is big. Easy is too basic and medium too frustrating. For some reason the older game was a bit more predictable for me when the columns moved up and down. Now they seem pop out too fast and I can't respond in time

Just a bad game. I like the concept, and rhythm games in general, and this gamer has the rhythm part down great, but I really don't like the level design or difficulty progression at all. The easy difficulty for each level is a snooze fest, and medium is almost good enough to keep my attention, but it's not exciting. The hard level, however, will throw new mechanics and unforeseeable obstacles at you. It becomes a game of memorizing which spots have walls that pop up in your face, rather than a return game.

Annoying ads.. The first time I downloaded this game, there were no ads. I recently redownloaded the app so I could play all levels again, and now the ads are so annoying I’m going to stop playing. I understand the makers need to make money, but at least give the option to buy the game without ads - then I’ll give you 5 out of 5 stars.

Horrible. WAYYY to many ads. There was an ad every time I messed up. Really annoying. Sometimes, when I would tap to jump, it wouldn’t jump. Yes I know it has to hit the plate but I did that. It didn’t work.

Just like geometry dash, only more interesting. This game is exactly like Geometry Dash. It requires patience, rhythm, and a lot of skill. It's pretty fun and easy once you get the hang of it, but once you try the medium and hard levels it gets pretty tricky and frustrating. I actually prefer this over GD and would totally recommend it. :D

Good but you can’t skip ads. I like the game when I have nothing to do but I kinda like the 1st one better just because there’s no ads in this in there is and when there’s an option to skip it it doesn't let me skip it so just get the first one.

Good updates. THANK YOU for adding a symbol on top of the spaces that move up and down — makes it much more fun because you actually have time to react to them!

Glitches. Glitches randomly

Worsened version of Geometry Dash.. This game is based off of memory and the ability to 'use rhythyms'. I like the idea of having to use rhythym, but what I don't like is a course designed thing. With the courses and no free mode, it's more frustrating then I expected it to be, as I'm someone who likes to use her instincts more then her memory, which is why I always failed my language tests. But also, I have to say, I'm not sure if it was my device (which I doubt due to it being a 6) or if it is just a little wonky, but when you have a series of chains of repeatedly hitting to the beat, and when you do, for some reason it pretends you aren't. Keeping at pace to something simple, and it's been done, but then it doesn't count it? My main issues were just the music and the forced to a designed course. I'm just not someone who can do that. Sorry, but in my opinion, not worth the time. Update: There has been nothing to fix the issue with the tapping and hitting with the beats. Nothing. It's frustrating to play if the controls won't work.

A good music game. This game is very good in fact I LOVE music games to but this one is deferent from the others :)

Give it up. Give it up is a great game with challenges such as spikes steps in moving obstacles with lots of practice I love it and you will too!

Great game. Even better than the original, you can now jump to different difficulties (easy, medium, and hard) very challenging and I love the layout of this game. Keeps you playing.

Why can't I pause???. I love the game and the concept. I enjoy that you can float between the different difficulty levels WITHIN the game. BUT, the fact that I can't pause this game has got to be its most annoying feature. If you're close to beating that really high level or going after that 3rd star...you really better hope nothing else comes up. Because you can't pause the game.

No new levels. Developer has never created any new levels.

Needs New Levels. I love this game! It's fun and challenging at the same time. I just wish they would add some levels to the game. Although there is a daily challenge you can compete, I would like to see some regular levels added.

Used to adore this, now the ads make it unbearable. I understand that apps need to put ads in things. And I get putting ads at the end of every successful level completion. But they’re at the end of EVERYTHING. You pass the level, ad. You fail and restart, ad. You’re just trying to go back to the level home screen, ad. Give us a break! Outside of that, this game is super fun. I love the challenges and the level options. The bouncer is adorable and makes you more committed to not hurting the little dude.

Sound Stopped Working, Doesn't Recognize Taps. I liked this game at first. All of a sudden though, the sound stopped working. And as others have said, the medium and hard levels are so difficult, it takes me more than 30 tries to pass it. I know that I'll be tapping on the beat -- when it plays the sound -- but it doesn't recognize it. The game is more frustrating than fun.

Can't decide if I like it or not.. It's impossibly hard. I've always felt I have above average reflexes, and I'm usually great at games like this, but this is ridiculous. The title definitely matches the game. I guess it's maybe fun. I just can't decide. Maybe if you could move the camera a little before you start jumping, so that you can get a slight head start at memorizing the level. Idk if that would take away from the game though and defeat the purpose. I got this as the free app of the week. I can't recommend paying for it.

Terrible comments. Love the game it’s just when you fail a level it says things like, maybe you should try a lower level, and, that’s why the top level is the hardest. Which in my understandings is discouraging. Maybe you should make better comments

Scammy tactics, taking advantage of free app of the week. This app was featured as free app of the week, a system meant to feature QUALITY, PAID apps, but then immediately switched to free-to-play, with ads immediately after the featuring ended. A terrible abuse of the system of free app of the week, betraying paid users. And despite the claim that paid users will not be given ads, there are still unskipable video ads for paid users.

Another Hungarian masterpiece. Awesome game! Atmospheric and addictive. Challenge your reflexes! Only 3 stars because there are too many ads. Takes away from the experience big time. Still like the original better with no ads.

Mixed feelings. This app has a very good concept and music. It would be more enjoyable without a few problems. The tutorial is too rushed, the first one shows you how to jump. Ok. Then the second shows you how to avoid spikes, and speeds the game up. Ehh. Lastly, speeds the game up and gives you another obstacle as well as using the one from the second part of the tutorial. Just no. I think the tutorial could've been a bit more thought out when showing the basics and appealing to new players. Second, the music is off. Which is what I'll assume for now. I tapped my finger on my screen with the beat, and with my landings. I had no luck getting successful jumps. Only when I ignored the music by turning it off did I do better. I feel like there's some sort of delay because I am usually good at reaction timed games. The game is overall good, but could use some tweaks to make it work better and appeal at the beginning.

Addicting. Lots of fun and will keep you playing for hours,trying to beat each crazy level.

I don't like it that much. It's a nice idea, but it's really counterintuitive for the rythm part of the game. Plus it feels like touchscreen isn't calibrated with the game. The game is reminiscent of Geometry Dash and I don't like it as it requires you to memorise, rather than use your reflexes (e.g. Super Hexagon). The microtransaction is stupidly placed im this game and overall I don't like it at all. But give it a try, you might like the game if you overlook everything I said in this review.

Tricky learning curve. Cute game, sound and music and all. The only problem is the gameplay: I got the hang of tappin' to the beat, but when I realized you could just button-mash the screen, it's not much of a challenge at all.

Can’t put down. This game is addicting

I don't get it. The music (more like just super simple noise) doesn't really do anything but annoy you with how simple the beats are. You jump to the beat for I guess extra points but that's it, barely helps you clear spikes or jumps it's just there. Get it while it's free but don't pay full price. Reading other reviews about controller use makes me want to agree. Touchscreen wasn't good choice for this game.

Awesome and challenging!. I waited and waited for this second version to arrive and it was worth the wait! So addicting! I love the multiple difficulty levels so I might have a chance of getting through some of the tougher ones. Great new soundtrack too. A+

Meh. Game isn't great. The music should be designed to keep the beat, but it only messes me up. It should've been a game for anything but a touch screen because it doesn't suit the game well. Lastly, it's hard to play the game when the game taunts you after trying to do something. I played a level on its hardest difficulty to see how challenging it was, but after failing twice, it began to tell me to play something else because the game thought I was doing poorly, when in reality I was nearly done with the levels. People would rather play a game because it encourages the player, not because the player plays out of spite. Gave it two stars because it looks appealing enough. Overall disappointing.

To all the sensitive souls out there. Everyone is complaining about how hard this game is. It's really not lol. In each level you have the option of how hard you want it to be. Jump on the purple thing to go up a difficulty or stay on the first level and finish the game with ease. By the way, to whoever created this game, has anyone ever told you that the jumping thing looks like a certain meatball from a certain show on cartoon network? Fun game

Give it up!. Give it up dude, buy this app! It’s an amazing rhythm game. I highly recommend if you are looking for a game which requires skill.

Fun/addictive. It’s really addictive and fun to play and I like the way you get to chose your own beats but there’s not enough beats to chose from any ways but anywho this is a pretty fun game to play.

Complainers. Talking about the game being difficult should keep to angry birds. This game is for grinders only. The hard levels are hard, who would've thought?

The Game Itself Is Cocky. It knows it's suppose to be a challenging game, but so does the player. Even if it was harder, the annoyance of a game that acts like Leto's Joker isn't worth my time or effort to play. There are plenty of challenging games out there that don't act like some smug goon that acts like they got the best of you. I didn't even keep it after 5 minutes, it just wasn't worth the space.

Nice update, morons.. As if the medium and hard levels weren't difficult enough, now there's an unimaginable amount of lag to help me out. This game wasn't too impressive the first time I played either. I got it for the Free App of the Week and it was super easy the first few levels and suddenly increased the difficulty 5-fold out of nowhere! And now there's lag. Nice job.

Great fun but VERY tough. The game is a lot of fun and reminds me of the old sides rolling platformers of days gone by. And just like many of those games, this is VERY hard. I'm still on the first stage and it's tough to even get two stars on each level, the bare minimum to even advance to the next stage. Good time killer though.

Was fun when I had it 🙁. Ok so it was fun. I thought it was very enjoyable, on how you would tap the screen, and it would jump. The levels are challenging and give you enough want to continue. Also the characters are cute. I’m kind of sad there is only one character you can use, because In the first one you had a lot. Also I love how you can change the music. Give It Up - Very Clever No. 2. I really enjoyed playing the first version and appreciated the developer's efforts to improve the game. They continue on the right track with this second edition. I've only played the first couple of levels, but it seems there are enough changes to keep it interesting. Well worth the $ .99 price tag. I also appreciate that you can earn the other characters by accumulating coins. This way you can earn them through game play, or buy them if you want to support the developer.

Best rhythm game I've ever played. The music is great although I wish all the music was free. I don't get what people are saying about rhythm of the music it is actually really helpful when avoiding obstacles. The mechanics are really simple and it needs no further explanations. It's a one tap game not an call of duty or some other game that has multiple controls. You just need quick reflexes and rhythm and that's on you not the game itself. Awesome game highly recommend it if you love geo dash or any other rhythm game similar to that.

Fun but frustrating glitch. A good little game that’ll be enjoyable for a few sessions. Problem arises when music glitches and is half a beat off what it should be, which throws the rhythm off and makes that run impossible. Probably every 4th or 5th run will do this.

Not that bad. Multiple reviews say that it sets you up to die unless you hit a miss jump. I do not however, agree with this. The game does give the impression that you should land and tap on every space (which should be fixed) but once you realize that you're only supposed to tap when you want to move a space up or ahead, the game becomes much more fun.

Thnksfrthmmrs. Lots of ads. Annoying, unskippable ones. Obnoxious life buying suggestions every time you start a level. Unlocking specific characters takes real money. Or wasting a lot of time It’s still fun, but god... there’s some caveats that were only made to incentivize revenue.

Wasted my time. Okay, so I won't lie and say this game isn't addictive. It really is. I just spent three hours of my life that I'll never get back on GIU2. But it's addictiveness is like picking at scabs, you know that it's bad and you'll only regret it, but you keep doing it anyways. But you know what, I'm going to smarten up and stop now. Like an older review says, it's death traps and cheap tricks all the way after the first few levels. It becomes pretty much impossible to score three stars, unless you buy coins (iAP) to use the save points. And there's really no skill to it. Honestly, it becomes 5% reaction/gaming, 10% keeping with the beat, 15% memorizing every thing that moves, jumps out, or falls, and 70% dumb luck. This was like a dumber, traps-everywhere, rhythm-game version of arcade games. And it wasn't like playing the game was enjoyable since I grew increasingly frustrated with the cheap deaths intended to goad us into buying more coins. So I deleted the app. This was a free game, so it's practically illegal to rate it too poorly, but ugh, that's three hours of my life I'll regret wasting when I'm seventy. 2.5/5 stars.

This game does "hard" horribly wrong. Apparently designers missed the memo but, although calling a coin flip 10 times in a row is unlikely, I wouldn't call it hard, just stupid. The hard areas just contain repeated death traps which the player is given a split second to react to and no real ability to play around. There is no depth and no counter play, just "memorize exactly where the surprise is or you die, rinse and repeat". Not that you should expect depth from a dollar game but don't bother with this one.

Fun!. This app's so fun! I don't know why people are saying it's too hard. It's pretty but if you want to collect all 50 coins each level, you'll need to complete the "medium" and "hard" stages. =)

Death traps. It's bad when you can die on the second level (still tutorial) by following instructions. The game tells you one jump "perfect", but sets you up to be killed unless you do a "miss" jump.

Fun for 5 mins. Don't even bother, games like impossible game are way better and are not a money sink, nothing rewarding about playing this game.

These developers are money hungry. Free app of the week is supposed to feature 1 great app for a week, so it gets noticed. After they weren't featured, they made this game laggy, and free to play. What's the point of that? Random ads pop up out of no where, and video ads can't be skipped. Nice way to make me delete this app.

No free coins. The game is fun and all but it would be cool if the free coin surveys WORKED... All of the small free coin options work but if u want a huge chunk 100+ then you're out of luck. Good luck spending you're entire day trying to earn some free coins 😒

Kinda dull. I first played this game when it first came out and back then it was free so I thought I might as well try it out, and while the game isn't bad, there just isn't much there. Personally, I would recommend this to you only if it is free, it's not worth paying for.

Much improved. I loved Give It Up. And part 2 is even more fun with the different levels. I just finished the game and am waiting for Give It Up 3!

Fun until the last update. As usual, almost any game that moves to the free to play model when originally having a price tag ruins the fun. I originally enjoyed the feel of this game, but now each attempt on harder levels feels like I'm just being punished by ads. Avoid this game...

polished enough, annoying game play. developer designed this game to let gamers face unexpected deaths on unexpected timing. consequently you should memorize every trap in the map and try again and again. you seriously think this would be exciting?

So many bugs. My game freezes all the time and sometimes when I tap to jump it completely ignores me, making it impossible to complete the harder levels. I enjoyed the game at first but now it's just getting annoying.

Was awesome - not so much anymore. I really enjoyed this little game before the updates, I didn't even mind the level difficulty that much. But since the updates it is pretty much unplayable on iPad mini, there is so much lag it freezes, and then crashes. I'm sad! Please fix it!!

Now they add Ads. Before Apple name it App of the Week and provided the app free of charge, the game didn't have any Ads. Now after the update, the app is free, but with a lot of apps. Was a tactic to promote downloads and the provide ads for a comission? Deleting App.

Meg, I get it. Had enough after the tutorials. I felt like I got what the game was getting at, but it didn't entertain me enough to keep playing.

Too hard. Yes it's just frustrating. The easy path is so easy it's not entertaining. Medium is doable but you won't get three stars. Taking the hard path to shoot for the three stars is insane so I'm giving up on it.

Could be better not really fun. It could be be better because the easy levels are easy but then the hard levels are stupid , plus too many ads and bugs and at last it gets really frustrating so I will be deleting it today

Impossible to get past the tutorial. The 2nd stage of the tutorial has you timing jumps to go over spikes, but the second spike you're supposed to jump over is timed to the music so that you land on top of it. I tried for an hour to get past this but it's not actually possible. Ridiculously shoddy.

Fun and Addicting, but.... The lag from the ads can cause some problems, and it can be hard to play, but I still find it really fun.

Okay. It's fun but to many glitches and you need to unlock levels with coins. Could be better.

Out of sync. The beats are slightly out of sync making this game even harder. Most of the time the blob is in the air when the beat hits and causes me to hit spikes and walls that could have been easily avoided if the beat was better synced with the game.

Great. I played the first one and it was hard, but really fun. This one definitely stepped up its game and is a lot harder. Great game

App downloaded without my knowledge.. I found this app on my phone without ever having tapped to download it, nor even having ever seen anything having anything to do with this app. Not cool. Didn't open it, deleted it immediately, good riddance. I'll be making a personal note to keep away from all other apps from this developer.

Difficult spikes! Ridiculous levels!. The level design is poor and the game on medium and hard is very difficult from the start! You make one mistake and the game punishes you severely for it! To retry you have to retry the whole level again unless you want to use those orange disk currency which rarely appear in a level!

No Music. I start the game and it tells me that the music will help you play, but when i start there is no music at all! I checked my settings and music is on but all i hear is the stupid annoying beep sound the ugly blob makes

Cool. At first I was skeptical, it seemed kinda stupid, but the more I played the more this game grew on me and now I'm hooked! I love this game and it gets very challenging, all I could ask for is more variations of music....

This is the BEST game EVER!!!. This game is so fun! It is really hard but that's what makes it fun.I wold recommend it if it is free or not you HAVE to get this game!!,

Awful. The game hardly allowed me to click. The rhythm was off and the rhythms were terrible. The easy levels weren't that bad but the normal and hard levels were too hard and the best of the song was off so sometimes I would click too early or late thinking the song would help. The game deserves a one star rating from anyone.

Could be worse!. I see many people hate this. I know, I kinda dislike it too. I bet if they made a music app for all of the music or something that would be cool.

Well made. I see some hating on the idea that it is on a iOS device , you just need to have great durability and taping skills , it's hard for me but still it's a great game!
