Not working. First off, I enjoy the game, it is relaxing and fun to play. The new ability to create your dream home is awesome! I look forward to more choices of paints and flooring. However, ever since the new stuff happened, my game doesn’t work most of the time. It will all seem fine until I choose a challenge. Then It says network connection issues. I don't have a problem with anything else on my phone but on this game. It’s frustrating. And I have obviously not been playing as much lately because I can’t. Also I get that the game has to make money but some more inexpensive plants, pictures, and table decorations would be great. What would make the game so much more fun and more unique to people’s styles would be if there were throw pillow options in every color, and drapes would be cool as well. Honestly a throw pillow can change the whole look of the room and seems like a decorating staple that is missing. I do like the new round and square rug options! Very cool. Would like to see more options that don’t all seem to cost diamonds. Over all this is a great game. And fun to play, although if the bugs or whatever is going on with the app don’t get fixed, I won’t be able to play much anymore. That would be uncool. If the bugs get fixed I would happily give a 4 star.

Designing. This is a very fun way to keep current in home design. The inventory’s on trend and bonus points for the catalogue of info on each piece in the event you might like to purchase an item for your own real house. I happened onto this game and took off with it kind of learning the rules, strategy of play, etc as I go. I have been playing almost a year now and spent $200 on my debit card to buy inventory. I have only received 3 scores of 5 in all my designs entered which seems extremely unfair as when I view the 5 star design winners they are no where as near as nice as my own entry. It seems to me like the voting system is off kilter, why not let real true experienced designers make the decision on final score. That seems more like it, and would probably be helpful in keeping the character of the design patterns fresh, rather than stagnating into only a certain look getting showcased into the 5 category. One last comment, the winning designs do not seem to take into account the preview info given about the home owners goals. Often times the 5 star designs do not pay any attention to the criteria of gender of the intended occupant or style desired by owners. Therefore, a pink frilly room is able to achieve a score of 5 even though the monologue calla for designing a room for a boy occupant. How does that work when the rest of us are taking in the desired effect of each room asked for in the description? Otherwise, love, love, love this addicting app.

Art work. Often the art work makes the room or design come together. It’s frustrating to have such limited choices at first and to see great designs only have beginner choices which doesn’t help those designer compete on a fair basis. Maybe instead of picking furniture items that are the same you base competitions on the level of art someone works with. The game costs too much to play buying the same items over and over. Once something is purchased it should stay in purchased section. Otherwise great game. But I may have to go back to cheaper games even if sudoku gets boring. Puzzles are cheap and if you love color, just about as satisfying. Tired of white, black and grey. What’s with grey anyway? It’s everywhere in real life and so ugly imho. It’s lighter than black and doesn’t show dirt like white and pillows can be changed to revive what has become boring but it’s grey that is boring to start with. Don’t you envy all the Cubans with their colorful uniquely designed 50’s cars. The we went to silver or grey cars you can’t tell from pavement. Come on America. Show some life. Put some big color back out there. My first live in life was color from the Golden Book The Color Kittens. We need more art for our designs and try a picture with some purple or lavender so we can use the couch with lavender pillows more.

Pros and Cons. First for the Pros. The game is fun, relaxing and allows you to express your creativity through home design. If you have friends that also play you can connect via Facebook and share inventory. Definite Pro. It’s also nice to see how your friends interpret the same room. Now for the Cons. At the top of the list is any interaction with Tapjoy. In order to obtain any wall decor, table art, or floor decor you have to earn or buy (with real money) diamonds. Some furniture also costs diamonds. They are hard to earn. Each day you earn 500 diamonds but most items are 700 diamonds plus. Most rooms need 6-7 items that are purchased with diamonds. In other words to play and completely outfit a room 500 diamonds a day doesn’t cut it. So you have to watch videos or take advantage of offers posted by Tapjoy. Most of these are scams. BEWARE! They just want you to spend real money. It is difficult to play without spending money. Diamonds should be more easily earned. You have to earn 5 stars on a design to earn 250 diamonds. This is a rare occasion. In order to earn 5 stars other players vote randomly on your designs. Sometimes they get it right and sometimes they don’t. Conclusion, the game can be frustrating since you are constantly trying to get diamonds to play and they don’t provide enough ways to get them without paying real money. Play at your own risk, I do cause I like to decorate. I wish there was another app like this. I would switch in a minute.

Wildly Addictive - but Wildly Expensive!. I’ve loved this app since I found it, just a few weeks ago. I’m not a professional designer or anything, but an avid HGTV viewer and I love to learn about interior design. So every challenge has been so much fun! Great concept, but, sadly, I have to say goodbye. Just too expensive to play well, and no fun to play badly! I agree with other comments I’ve seen, that the following improvements would encourage more players, and ultimately, a more successful app: 1. For the love of heaven, when we buy items, why can’t we keep them? Making your users buy the same items over and over again just seems greedy and mean. 2. Isn’t there some way to help or at least encourage voters to stick with the design criteria, rather than just voting for what they like? Maybe a daily reward for designers and voters who stick most closely to the stated criteria. 3. Diamonds need to replenish more quickly if you want people to continue playing every day. Obviously, the reason they don’t replenish is because you want people to buy diamonds. However, unless your demographic is limited to only the wealthy, your player base is going to disintegrate at some point, hopefully before they’re in bankruptcy and/or divorce court. Which brings me back to my decision to delete the app. I will miss it, but the credit card statement I received in the mail today is a powerful motivation. And I’d like to stay married.

Overspending. I agree that this game is great. It is so much fun for all the reasons the other ratings describe. HOWEVER, I have been playing for well over a year and I am ashamed to say that I spend at least $60 per month purchasing inventory. Often, I have no choice; the criteria for decorating the room includes items I simply do not own, so I have to purchase them. This might not be so bad if you truly kept everything you purchased until you used it. But that is not the case; as others have said, inventory often just disappears. I thought at first I was just forgetting things, but then I began keeping copious notes of what I bought, how many I had, and what I used, which proved my suspicions to be true. Now if it were free inventory that was being deleted, It might not be so bad. But when I am paying my own money for these items of inventory and they still disappear, it seems like that could have legal ramifications. If I were not so addicted to this game I would have thrown it away a long time ago. But it is so entertaining that for some reason, I just keep tolerating the abuse. I keep hoping that eventually the “game’s conscience” will stop all of these deceitful practices, but I am still waiting. Like someone else sad, a smart person would just play the game with only the inventory that they win. It is a bad habit of which I need to wean myself.

Design Home: Scam or Authentic?. I have always been interested in design, so when I saw the ad for Design Home, I jumped to get it. I have had it for three-ish years now, and I was pleased to see that is is similar to designing a room in real life. You must have enough money in the game to purchase furniture you do not already own, and when you enter a challenge, it tells you a little bit about the people you are designing the room for (i.e. they are a traveling writer), why you are designing the room (i.e. they want a bedroom getaway), and how you should design the room (traditional, coastal, etc.). Today I got on Design Home, completed the daily challenge, and started another challenge. The second challenge I was working on was a lounge area for a couple’s vacation home in Italy. I was happy with my design, and I was watching an ad so I could purchase a console table that went with the area. After watching three ads, I tried to purchase the console table when it said the purchase was unsuccessful. I then tried to purchase another one, but found I didn’t have enough money because it charged me for the console table that was unsuccessful! I was really angry and decided to write this review to warn people that were interested in the game. It’s a bit of a gamble to buy this game, considering the fact that you can get cheated easily. But I would say that the pros outweigh the cons. Just be careful!

Great game with some flaws.. I admit. I’m obsessed with this game. However, there are a couple of things I take issue with. First of all, SO many people don’t follow the design rules and they get ridiculously high scores. This seems to be a frequent complaint and I’m surprised the designers haven’t done anything about it yet. Honestly, I don’t care how beautiful your room is, I won’t vote for it if you have beach furniture in a challenge that calls for traditional. I’d rather vote for a less aesthetically pleasing room if I see the person really tried to follow the rules. There should have a description for each aesthetic (and possibly a visual representation) because people obviously have no clue how to design appropriately. And it’s pretty obvious that people who vote for these rooms don’t either. Also, we don’t ‘buy’ the items, we ‘rent’ them. A little pet peeve of mine. This should be changed in the app. And give us more than 5 uses! There also needs to be a category for “mid-century furniture.” One more thing... the prizes are often redundant. I’ve gotten 6 different grey chairs in the past couple of weeks. There really needs to be more variety in the prizes. What’s the point of designing a room if I’m getting another grey chair? In fact, I just passed on a challenge because once again the prize is... you guessed it: a another grey chair. There needs to be a better mix of furniture too. I have a bazillion cabinets. Give me a dang rug! P.S. I really do love your game.

Purchases not always correct. I love playing this game but I’ve noticed that it’s possible to purchase the same item without knowing it, leaving the player with two of the same item. It also seems that not all items purchased are available for all of the stated number of uses. Further, it’s an unfair advantage to higher score players to have their designs judged against those of lower level players. The availability of higher end wall decor and decorator items increases as the levels are completed creating an advantage for the higher leveled designs. Also, when borrowing from another player, the item should be available as a duplicate if used in the same design. It’s not helpful to be permitted an opportunity to borrow a sofa, for example, in a design that requires two and be unable to use the borrowed item more than once. I’ve also noticed that special design items purchased seem to disappear, regardless of the number of uses remaining available, when the limited use timeframe expires. That’s not fair to the player. If items are purchased they should remain available for use until the designer has exhausted their use. Finally, not all purchased items show as owned in spite of the money being taken from the designer. I agree with the other review... purchased items should remain the property of the designer, rather than limited to a certain number of uses. Seems very one sided...

Complications. Exterior designs are very subjective. It’s hard to win.. as for tablescapinbg that again requires an eye for color, a knowledge of chargers, that go under the plates. It requires a need to know on runners.. does the occasion call For it? Are you at a wedding or a family dinner? I don’t think it’s worth the effort. As for your new little gold ribbon. That is by your challenges., I never find them in my inventory. Ever.. so I win them but I don’t get them.. and as to 500 diamonds a day, that’s what they give you in the inbox. If you go up to the top of the page, you will see how many diamonds you have now if you the number of diamonds you have on the diamond, it will call up a place where you can go to the premium store. If you go off to the far right side, you can touch a offer. That will allow you to watch commercials that each a new 15, diamonds a day to 300 diamonds a day.. now sometimes it seems you could actually go and do that once in the morning, and once in the evening, so you can get an extra 600 diamonds, but you gotta collect them because they are changing the prices from dollars to diamonds and diamonds, being more rare, are more expensive for buying carpet and furniture. Good luck. I hope you all are able to get your rewards because I can’t. From the little gold ribbon on the challenges..

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS GAME. This is the ONLY game I never go a day without playing and every day the game is rewarding…it’s nothing like other games, where you have to do puzzles or match objects that end up being impossible just to unlock an item or furniture. You design a room to a house in all places of the world, which is really unique and cool. You vote to collect keys so you can design an entire home. And as long as you vote on other peoples' designs, you can submit your designs without needing to vote again, until you run out of keys. The only thing I’m bummed about is once you have designed all of the full interior homes, they don’t have more. I want to do more of those so bad. I will admit that because I love this game so much, I pay for diamonds for $20 each week so I can get more variety of furniture and wall decor and plants. I do wish the decor was in $ and not all diamonds so it could also be bought in cash you’ve won from your designs. I also wish they didn’t do limited series and wish they would make all of those things remain available to buy and just add more sections or seasons for those things. But it is still worth it to me, to pay each week for diamonds because I thoroughly enjoy it and even without doing that, I would still love it.

This game has issues that must be resolved!. I've been playing this game for 3 months now and enjoy it a lot. It's fun to take a break and mess around designing a room, and I enjoy seeing what others have done to design the same room. However, I've suspected on numerous occasions that some of my items are gone before I've used them up, but then decided I just had a bad memory... now I am SURE of it! When I went to use chairs that I won recently there was only one in my inventory! I went through my past completed designs and sure enough, I had never used those chairs! Same with a table I had purchased and who knows how many other items...Buying items is expensive and winning them is challenging! (The game should be WAY less stingy with diamonds! 500 hundred a day should be 1000 and winning a mere 125 for a five star design is ridiculous! That should be 1000 as well, especially considering one halfway decent plant or picture sets you back 1000 diamonds! There should also be some diamonds awarded for four star entries, with five stars winning more.) With inventory being so precious I'd like to be able to use the full five I have bought or won and not have the game lose them, or whatever is happening to my inventory. DO NOT SPEND ACTUAL MONEY ON THIS GAME! Also, don't waste your time trying to "complete offers" to earn extra diamonds. You will almost never actually get any diamonds. It is a waste of time. Play the game but use your daily rewards only.

Nice App w/ some needed changes. Really love playing this game. Just a bit of constructive criticism of the “top” designs..., first of all, these designs use repetitive wall art (expensive) and actually not realistic to apply, imho. Secondly the wall, table art and rugs are so important that it makes you want to buy diamonds just to compete which is fair motivation for in app purchases. But I do find it interesting that these over-designed and frankly cluttered spaces are top designs. I rarely vote for them or can’t say I’ve been asked to. As well, the “requirements” and their expense to obtain a design at all, rarely looks better than what I can do with my own inventory! I realize that is the challenge aspect and additionally some of the bigger spenders do merit respect. Looking at the cost to compete where 99$ of diamonds is appealing- it is too much for me to seriously consider- maybe when I’m retired I’ll work it into my plans. In real time, I will say that I have played the app daily and enjoyed playing and shopping and honing my design eyes. I have realized how much I can do with my own furniture. I even think I have been inspired to make beautiful changes to my own home too! Thanks for the entertainment and education. I have always used magazines as my go to or hgtv- this app adds a new dimension in a fun and interactive way. I will likely play it as long as I can. Thank you!

Glitches Yesterday. I’ve completed 2 rooms that were the same today, but only see one under my designs. Wondering if the furniture I used will be given back to me, but I don’t remember everything I used. Plus, I was also about to complete another challenge I had completed, but stopped because I wasn’t sure if it would happen again. Adding to this complaint. One other person complained of items disappearing, I believe that’s happened to me also. I’ve completed offers or gotten through the first couple of questions and honestly could not answer truthfully on the surveys because “My answer” wasn’t a choice. No diamonds rewarded. Actually ordered from Black Cobra, one of your sponsors for diamonds and haven’t received the item (from them) or an update. I also had to send several support msgs for diamonds not received. Most offers require a purchase which is not really an FREE offer. I’ve purchased diamonds to make a room look nice only to receive below 4 stars. On top of that the prizes are, for the most part, unusable for the challenges. Too many requirements and items that look way too similar that can’t be substituted. Will not spend anymore money on this game. It was fun initially, but aggravating now. Items cost too much whether game cash or diamonds and some people spend real cash. I understand trying to make a buck, but this is ridiculous. A game is supposed to be relaxing and fun!

Hide your money, here comes Design Home!. I absolutely love this game, but this game loves my wallet more. I came to write a review about Design Home after playing it for close to a year now. The layout and execution of the app is very impressive, and I understand it takes quite a bit of time to catalog real brands into a game platform, but it is absolutely absurd the amount of money you have to spend to be able to truly express your creativity. The pricing model for furniture is in line with reality, but the pricing model for artwork and accessories is outrageous, i expect to pay 600 dollars for a Kathy Kuo Home accent table in reality, but then I have to pay 1,100 for a potted palm tree. I have to pay 700 dollars for a pillow set, and that is unrealistic. Design Home branded items are outrageously expensive; for example, if you receive both your daily bonus and diamonds for several 5 star designs in one day, you still cannot afford one single limited rug. I love love love this game. I play it every day. Something is going to have to give though with the money layout of the game. I have spent HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS on this game in less than a year, and I’m realizing it’s a problem. EDIT: after looking through other reviews from years ago stating the same issues, I’m deciding to delete this game. I hate corporate greed, especially when it gets in the way of customer satisfaction.

Been playing this game for almost 6 years. Hello! I’ve been playing this game for almost 6 years, only because I LOVE designing. Always have since I was a little girl. It’s been crazy to see how much the game has developed and evolved. Even crazier that my job sells Benjamin Moore paint and some of those colors are in the game now. There’s a couple of things I wish they would change though…how many diamonds you get each day, the rewards you get for completing an event or getting a certain star rating on votes, and that they would bring back the dump challenges where you can dump items you don’t want a more for a certain amount of money. If they would up the amount of diamonds you earn each day to a larger, more significant amount…. I feel like it would keep people more interested. It’s a shame you have to spend a stupid amount of money to use such beautiful items to get a 5 star rating on your design. I also wish sometimes the rewards you get for completing a series or getting a certain star review were different sometimes. Don’t get me wrong I do enjoy getting the occasional couch but it would be more rewarding to get a great amount of cash or diamonds instead, to continue designing. I feel like the dump challenges kind speaks for itself…. I LOVED that and since they took it away, I usually end up wasting a design on dump items I don’t want anymore.

Great until I needed them to resolve an issue. I love this game. I appreciate that unlike other design games you don’t have to play stupid games to get the in-game currency. I appreciate that they give you a daily allotment and the prizes are based on merit. On that note, however, I feel the scores given for designs are VERY inconsistent and I don’t understand how that works. I’ve had rooms decorated very similarly to 5 star rated rooms, but have received below 4 stars, not allowing me a prize. And on the flip side, I’ve had rooms thrown together with whatever inventory I’ve had that have received 5 stars. I can’t explain that. All of that I can deal with, because I love the creative outlet. However, after more than 2 years of playing the game, I had my first issue. I went to purchase a temporary decor “bundle” and though I was charged, I never received it. I tried again, and it said my previous purchase would be restored. It was not and I was charged again. I contacted the app developer SEVERAL times over a period of a week and received NO response other than an acknowledgment in a delay. After contacting them several more times, I still received NOTHING. Thank goodness Apple gave me refunds. I am VERY disappointed with their customer service and have half the mind the delete the game because of this. There is NO EXCUSE for not responding to your customer’s issues - especially when that particular customer invests REAL currency in your game.

Fun game, but. I have been playing this game for awhile now. I have even removed the app at one point but came back to it. It is fun, I really enjoy that it’s all about design not silly side games you have to conquer to enter a room to be able to design. There are no “pay to win” schemes, which is a huge plus! The reasoning for 3 star rating is the developers need to upgrade in some areas. Major complaint of mine is that the Table Decor is lacking in real life objects. They need to include all forms of technology: Laptops, Computers, cellphones. Kitchens need more small appliance choices, glass and tableware options. Bars need mixers and cocktail glasses. Outdoor Rooms need grills. Some room designs are for adolescence but only provide nursery style floor and table decor. When it is a nursery design, Floor decor is somewhat available, but again lacks choices. Nursery Table Decor is non existent. Developers need to add diapers, baby wellness items, etc. These items need to be more than a “special buy” status. Some of the rooms are poorly designed and the “required” items just make them worse. There is a design brief, however many participants do not pay attention to it and yet still receive high points, that makes it feel like a popularity contest at times. All in all it is fun, worth the time, especially if you like to design but have no desire to play silly games. I will continue to play for now.

Too Much Time. I’ve been playing this game for over five years and I agree with the most recent reviewers. Voting seems arbitrary, diamonds are being used as the currency for most of the quality items, and the only way I can feel good about my designs is to spend actual cash. The other issue I have is my backlog of useless furniture and room accessories. I can’t do much with one accent chair. I have enough desks to fill a corporate office, and most dining rooms need a rectangular table to work with 6 chairs - not round. Gifted items don’t match most decor and cause more backlog. Which brings me to what is really bugging me. Scrolling through this backlog takes up to 15 minutes or more longer. The greater the backlog, the more time spent. I’ve taken to only using items at the beginning of the list in order to have time to play at all. My guess is others have too. Suggestions include reducing the price of items by offering four instead of five, have less diamond items, and offer more chances to return more unusable items. Also, give us more opportunities to use desks, beds, cribs, and other items by offering a variety of room types instead of a majority of living room challenges. I do like that some living rooms only need one accent chair and more benches are being used at dining tables. This saves me from buying two sets of chairs. Any adjustments in these directions would be appreciated.

TOTALLY ADDICTING. Listen, I don’t know what else to say except if you enjoy home decorating each season and for the holidays or if you’re a home stager, interior decorator or real estate agent you are going to LOVE this game. I’ve already gotten so many fresh ideas for my own homes. I do have some suggestions for the app. It would be more conducive, if there were separate options at the beginning of the game for players to decide if they want to be either a judge or a decorator. If they decide to be a judge then they can still have decorating fun in the personal home section and be rewarded with items based upon how often and fairly they judge others. I don’t mind designing and judging but I wonder how many times the player to player judging is actually fair. Ppl have different tastes and what I find appealing others may not. I have invested a lot of money into this game and it bothers me when another player misjudges someones work. I follow the challenge instructions as closely as possible. But I’ve noticed that other players have a type of color scheme and pattern that they tend to like more and no matter how fancy or accurate your room to the challenge—if it doesn’t fit into their color expectations you miss the 5 star mark. Other than the player to player judging—the game is absolutely outstanding and will definitely appeal to those who love to decorate.

Not the same game…. I’ve been playing this game off/on since it first launched. In the beginning it was really fun, the voting was fair, the challenges were entertaining. But now the scores of the poor designs get higher scores, up to 5.0 (ie. Designs that have absolutely nothing to do w/ theme/barely anything in it/hodgepodge) over a design someone has obviously put effort into. When it comes to voting, I don’t know if people are too lazy to actually look at the designs or just hitting the screen just so they can get keys, but it’s disappointing to see really beautiful designs get such low scores. You might want to reconsider challenging designs of similar caliber against each other. I understand you have to spend some money on the game, but I’m noticing a large portion of the prizes are low in value compared to what you sell in the store. Even the higher priced prizes valued at about 4000 diamonds isn’t close to items selling for $8,000-$13,000! And recently the prizes have been ridiculous pieces of furniture that I’ve seen only a few people use. I haven’t used any of them because they’re way too extreme. The challenges are getting very redundant. They have the same places, layout, themes. I’m being 100% honest, please come up with something new. Please slow down on the Theme Packages. People overuse them inappropriately. Especially when it came to the Halloween themes.

Love the game!. First off I love the app! I've been playing for months and haven't lost interest, that being said there's a few things I wish were different; first off I wish it was easier to earn cash I've put some of my own real money into the game and it's gone so quick but takes so long to add back up, second thing i think it'd be so fun to have mirrors available for wall decor the pictures and stuff sometimes just look weird but going without the decor looks weird too! Third thing is that I tend to find a few things frustrating the first being with the new update it takes HOURS to get your voting results, the second being the prizes often are things you can't use for a long period of time-I love the sectionals but they're not required often! The last thing is more of a personal preference more than anything I love when there are outdoor spaces to do I wish they were more frequent! I also really think it would be fun if you could choose more than just furniture in the rooms maybe do a series where you're in control of the paint and flooring too! in all I love the game and don't see myself quitting it anytime soon! This is an edit and I’d love the suggest the idea of being able SELL our unwanted stuff back! I have dozens of chairs i hate and won as prizes but I’ll never use i think it would be great to sell them or trade them in for something else and have to pay the difference kind of thing!

Poor scoring algorithm. As stated by others. The scoring is way off. You progress 1 point for a 5 star rating on a room but get docked 3 or more when you get anything less unless it’s the same as your current score. Very messed up. When you look at the other designers with top scores they may have an overall rating of 4.95 or 5 but the level they are on is down below 50. How can it be that they are so great at decorating that every room they submit gets a 5? But those of us who have progressed to much higher levels because we design more rooms can’t stay above 4.80. This is suspicious. I do enjoy playing but this game requires you to spend money to compete and to decorate certain rooms. I usually pass on the room if it requires a purchase using game $ and diamonds. You don’t earn enough diamonds daily or when they are earned for completing a room. All decorations, plants, pictures and table top decor requires diamonds or a credit card purchase to restock. Diamonds are earned or purchased. Design $ at least are 3000 a day which helps but if you need a required item to complete a room and you don’t have the diamonds you’re out of luck. I have been playing less because of these issues that many others have voiced their displeasure about.

Devs plz read this!!!!. I absolutely loovvee this game. I love interior design, and gish this game is addicting! Buuuut it could use some work, and I have some ideas. First, i wish that the Home Points were easier to earn, and in bigger amounts, like “Hey, watch an ad and get 10 home points!!”. Second, I think that maybe instead of having to wait a long time after finishing all the challenges, I wish there are more ways to get designs. Maybe like a sandbox mode, so you can 1.) figure out what you want to buy 2.) budget 3.) get better at designing. I think it would be so cool if there was like an Instagram type feature (see Nookea app for ref.) where you could post your designs but DON’T have a dislike button. Or custom comments. Maybe pre-built comments lol. Another idea I think we should be able to come up with challenges and players can vote on which one they like best, then the winner challenge gets published. Last idea, I think it would be cool if in the sandbox mode I earlier mentioned if you could do designs to a certain theme or season, maybe even brand, and we can earn money for designing them, assuming the designs fit the theme, instead if having to buy specific colors or categories of furniture. Freedom in the design aspect is very limited as the creators choose what kind of furniture goes into the room.

Love game, would love it more if some things were changed. I have a, for the most part, great time playing this game. I love interior design and I feel it is a creative outlet. But, I feel some things should be changed in order for me to enjoy it more. Because things are so expensive I find myself not playing it for a while because my rooms can't look the way I'd like them to. I understand having to repurchase items, because some items I wouldn't want to have in my inventory forever, and the game has to make it so that people have to spend money. But, I feel if you win a prize you should be able to purchase it at a reduced price, that isn't diamonds. If you didn't win the prize it should remain the same price. I need diamonds to buy art and plants over and over again, because they really make the room. And I can't afford to spend the amount of money I'd like to on furniture because not only can I not afford to buy diamonds, and they took the earn free diamonds option off, when you buy them they don't give you a very large amount so it really doesn't last long. I also feel the score after voting should round up if you get a score of 3.7 or higher because there have been so many times I've gotten a score of 3.99 and not gotten the prize which is so annoying. But overall, love the concept of the game. Just wish it could be a little more fun by letting me create the kinds of rooms I'd like to create.

Fun to play but..... I’m often disappointed by the rating portion of the game. Having had years of study in design (mostly interior) I am very surprised that some of my best designs (in the game), which I used “in app purchases” to create the best most correct space (according to the description challenge provided), with what is available to us in the game, are always rated EXTRA low. I wouldn’t complain (after all it is a game and does not reflect my actual talent or skill level in the industry) but what really bothers me is that when you see the “top designs” many of them are esthetically unpleasing and considers no color flow, organization, rarely any attention on focal points or motif .... not only by my own standards and opinions but when I show them to my friends or peers they agrees. I wonder sometimes how the game is actually set up. I understand the game is not full of designers and people who know what they are looking at nor is it designed specially for designers to play, I just find it extremely annoying. I wish they could come up with a more accurate rating system. Over all it’s a relaxing and a some what addicting game that I will continue to play.... but will not purchase “diamonds” anymore as it seems to not matter if I spend money on improving my designs. A shame, because it’s so fun putting the rooms together and I would spend a lot of money playing if it seemed to make a difference for my “over all rating”. Oh well.

Room to improve. With the present system for judging design the score given has little to do with the quality of work the designer possesses. Poor design often receives top scores while good design gets low scores one of the main reasons for this is that all vote on the designs and those votes are usually based on the likes and preference of the voter not if the design follows good design guidelines, meets the requirements of that particular design and shows any design talent or individual creativity. . Whether the voter likes the color used or likes the wall art or the carpet etc. is the norm when he is asked which design do you like best design a or b. little regard is paid to the description of what the design style should be. Voters choices often have little to do with what makes a good design. Top designs usually end up looking like clones rather than a variety of options of design and individual creativity . Criteria for the design is often ignored and is not reflected in voting l think partly because that info is not available on the sketch during voting and who can remember the criteria for every design. Many designers admit to intentionally voting for poor design as protest. All in all a frustrating experience that keeps this game from being exceptional. A uniform, knowledgeable grading system would be a great improvement.

Love It...But. I will admit to being addicted to this app. I’ve never been an interior decorator but always felt that I had some sense of aesthetics. That being said I will echo what previous reviewers have expressed. Firstly, the daily reward is ridiculously stingy. With the cost of items (especially those that are required in certain challenges) $500 doesn’t get you very far. I understand the powers that be would like you to spend real $ (which I have done to keep a decent inventory) but that daily reward needs to at least double. Now, speaking of inventory, there should not be “limited” items. Again & again I have had to repurchase items with a meager chance of replacing purchase power. Now let’s talk about voting. Again I am no expert but I take time to plan out the rooms (which, by the way, could use more colors besides white, red, black & beiges). I’m a believer in color, design, flow & adherence to requirements. Scores of 5 are given to rooms that have not used inventory appropriately. I just saw a living room that had pictures hanging of pink ballerinas that belong in a child’s room. I understand not everyone wants or can afford to purchase inventory, but these “off the chart” additions don’t make any design sense. It’s very discouraging. I do so enjoy this app but I think I will stop spending my real $ & just start adding random items just to fill the rooms.

Design talent... As much as I enjoy playing this game, and I do, because I love home decor and design and I have a true eye for both, I am disappointed in the scoring that is going on. I feel that mostly I play it just to have my own portfolio of creative and beautiful rooms. This is very rewarding for me that’s why I am giving the game four stars. The furniture and architecture that you use is top of the line. However I do believe we should earn more than 500 diamonds a day if you’re wanting us to use diverse artwork . If some changes are not made, I may have to put this game down because like some of the other reviewer‘s have state, you have to spend way too much money to achieve some of the looks that would be truly beautiful and to win 5 stars it seems you must use more new artwork (meaning you have to spend money) with a result of a poor design in which I would never want to live. Some of the atrocious designs that get five points over a beautiful design that I have created which only gets 3.6 are suspect. Truly. To the designers of this app take a peek you’ll see what I mean. I’m a pretty intelligent, capable and creative designer, but that isn’t what’s really being rewarded here. If you were to change some of these aspects I may consider continuing with your design application, otherwise I may stop wasting my energy trying to achieve something that isn’t actually a better design.

Creative Game but voting frustrating. I love the challenges, interior design is a passion of mine. After submitting your room though don’t expect to understand the outcome. In my opinion: 1) voters don’t like color 2) voters don’t like mixing textures, prints no matter how well they work together 3) the black and white rugs, particularly the one with circles receive 5 stars at least 60% of the time 5) it takes diamonds to add the important finishing touches, art, plants, table decor, so if you don’t receive 5 star ratings (which pay 125 ) regularly you’ll have to spend real money to compete. Rarely if ever will a room receive a high score without these. 6) it seems I am voting in the same group of designers every time so the results will be similar most of the time as it’s clear “they” don’t like/understand my style 7) you move up a level each time the value of your designs reaches a million $, and each level offers specific art and accessories which make the room designs stand out from most, it’s all about what you’re willing to spend unless you consistently receive 5 stars for your designs 8) monochromatic groupings with all the accessories are preferred by the voters. You’ll have to decide if you want to create for “them” to receive inventory and maybe diamonds or create per your style, if you choose the latter be prepared to spend real cash to get inventory.

I have such mixed feelings. For starters, I have never had a game longer than 2 weeks on my phone- and I’ve had this one for 6 months. So that’s saying a lot! The reason I have mixed feelings is two fold- diamonds and ratings. 1- you cannot advance your actually gameplay without purchasing diamonds. You do get daily diamonds, but they are not enough to buy art pieces or florals- and those are what will get you the high scores or score high enough to win a prize. You will NOT get a high voted score without those two components. You can gain all the cash you want, but you can’t purchase the things that can get you better ratings. 2- The rating system is very jacked. The only color schemes that are acceptable are all black, all green, or all turquoise. It’s honestly so annoying 😫. What starts out as super fun to come up with designs is quickly destroyed as you realize that unless you select an entire room of green, black, or turquoise decor with alllllll and I mean ALLL of the same art work and plants and table toppers- you will not win a prize. The game has been just who can replicate that and I wish it was about being creative and eclectic. The voting is extremely annoying as well because you just choose between two great or two terrible rooms. That being said- I do love this game and have played it for months!!

Design Addict... or so. I love this game!! I love the daily challenges and designs that you can do. My only request is that the voting is completely unfair. There are people who are level 82 and you putting them to vote with the level 1s. Also, why are things so expensive? When I first started to play I only had 18,000, and when I spent it on two designs that didn’t have much, and then I’m out of money. Another thing is, is that we need to be able to earn more diamonds and money on every design we do. For instance, once I spent thousands of dollars and diamonds on a design. I only got 500 cash back and only 1 home point. Can you change the price to the cash to like 2,500? And instead of only one home point after the design maybe two? Because I spent weeks or days just to be able to get one room done in my house. I think that the creators can read these for once, respond,And actually do what they say that they said they were going to do. Because I read the other reviews and the creators responded and the review was like a year ago and the creators didn’t do what they said! Sorry if I sound mad. But the game is amazing and if you’re reading this and thinking of a design game, I would 100% get this game. The features and qualities are just at the top of the list and how there are real world furniture pieces. Just that of you get this game, watch your money >~<

Scoring system awful but great game for designers/ loading issues/ expensive. As I stated the scoring system is awful. You can get a low score on a design identical to one that got 5stars. That’s why I like the homes we do because the app designers critique it. There are some seriously hideous designs that score way too high. The game itself is fun if you’re passionate about design and don’t mind getting low scores on something you put your heart into lol. This game is also very expensive to play unless you use the crappy stuff that’s free. You even have to buy your entry, forced to buy expensive items to complete challenges which is sneaky and annoying. The wins aren’t enough to justify the amount of money spent to create better designs. I also want to add something I experience on a constant basis on every device I have. I am constantly being told to check my internet connection. No other app does this, none. So I’ll have to close out, wait forever for things to load only to end up taking twice the amount of time to create my design because it gets erased and then miss the window to enter! Many people don’t have the luxury of sitting around waiting for the game to load a couch, a rug etc. game time, design time is supposed to be fun, not frustrating. I have changed my review to reflect my frustration. And yes I’ve tried all the troubleshooting tips. I rarely play this game anymore for these reasons.

Imagination lacking. The game could be quite fun but the game dupes you into spending money to be able to participate. Despite my having an extensive inventory, many challenges have particular requirements like “modern” or traditional” or rustic” that make my inventory unusable. So I have to buy an almost identical piece of furniture to one I own to play. Also, as complained of by others, the voting has nothing to do with design. It has to do with spending money. In real life, I have never seen a room with purple furniture, rug, wall art, floor art and table art. But that is what gets 5 stars. Not much imagination there. Or design. Just throw money at it. Often all the five star rooms have the same pieces in them and look identical. And the game keeps adding new categories to fill that ups the ante on spending money. Some of the floor art are placed in the middle of the room where they would be tripped over but these have now become a requirement to score a 5. We designers should be more thoughtful in our voting. I don’t vote for rooms with floor art in the middle. Or using the same picture, table art etc. all over the room. I give votes to designers who use more than one color in their room. Or who use their dollars or diamonds to buy special pieces rather than bundles for bundle dumps. Be more discerning as designers and voters! Lastly, I don’t blindly complete all challenges. Save up for the good stuff and only enter if the prize is worth it!

Great fun but needs tweaks. I’ve been playing this for a while now, and really enjoying it. I have even spent real money and don’t regret it. However, I anticipate that I will soon get tired of it because, even with spending real money, I find myself buying the same inexpensive furniture over and over; so do most players so rooms start looking all the same. It would be better if each challenge was set up more like the real world: a client has a room to be designed in a certain style and has X amount of dollars to spend. That way I could manage that money to purchase furnishings, deciding if I should splurge on an expensive carpet or spread the money out evenly, for example. With a more open-ended choice, the rooms would be far more diverse and interesting, and I doubt I’d ever get bored. Also, then I wouldn’t be left with pieces that aren’t always suitable for the other challenges. Lots of times I see rooms badly styled - like Victorian style furniture placed in a rustic challenge because folks are just trying to use up their stock. I also think the amount of decor could be greatly increased. Perhaps decor could be used as prizes, with a certain number of decor items being required as furniture now is. The rooms desperately need a greater selection of decor and the devs could use this as their money maker. If you decide to give this game a try, I would recommend getting their starter pack.

I'm Addicted. Love this!!! I downloaded the game when I was working as the GM of a furniture store and have been addicted ever since. It's fun and is a great way to learn about design and color palettes. I agree with the voting inaccuracies and I've noticed there is very little detail to the challenge when you vote. Give me the full story so I can vote fairly! If I haven't designed that room I don't know. It also seems like the best designs are always up against each other and so are the not so good ones. I think that affects the voting as well. I'm not mad about buying diamonds. Congrats on running an effective business. If you don't want to buy them, don't. I've also had no problem with TapJoy. It's just slow and I think you have to link your profile or they can't recognize that the task was completed? Not sure. I just bought 8,000 diamonds after completing a task and then two hours later my 12,000 diamond reward was there. Sorry for the lack of instant gratification here people. Be patient. I'm not going to lower the rating for first world problems like "you made me spend my money" or "I want to keep my furniture in virtual world! 😭". Yes, they want you to spend money. Real money. There are no pop up ads while we design a room for three hours. Be grateful and spend it honey. But can I please keep my accessories??!!!! 🙃

Amazing - I’m addicted!. Update: so I’m a few days in playing everyday and like others have said, I’m at a stand still because I’m low on money. When you do a design challenge you get cash, but then you have to turn right around and spend that cash in order to do another design challenge Bc it has certain requirements you have to meet. There are very few challenges where there are no requirements. I also do not like the fact that you have to keep repurchasing items after 5 uses. Voting also is by other users, so most people are probably just voting for what they personally like and not viewing the design and making sure it matches the description/requirements. It’s still a fun and relaxing game, when you’re able to play it. I downloaded another design game but you had to play mini games in order to collect enough money to design. This game is all about designing, no “other” games to play in order to design. I’m only a level 3 designer right now since I just downloaded, but at level 4 more things unlock. I absolutely love getting to design a room and then you submit it to have it rated/scored by others. I think it’s from other players? You also have a gallery of all the designs you did so you can look back at them if you want, which I thought was cool. You do have to choose wisely about purchases or you will run low on money. I’m not sure how you gain money again yet, maybe by completing challenges and getting good scores. Anyway, I’m only on day 2 of playing and I LOVE IT!

Too many bugs lately. I have a new IPad Pro and expected the game to work flawlessly. However, whenever the game posts scores, it freezes, and as others have said, I need to reload the game, which sometimes results in losing progress if I am designing a room. I have learned to work around this. I realize that there is an immense amount of data, and having played this for years, I have collected a lot of furniture, etc, which may be a part of the problem. But it does seem to happen at specific times of day, which is no coincidence. Also, does anyone else think some of the descriptions of the rooms/areas to be decorated are going too far? One of the latest ones, which is a transition party for a daughter who is transitioning apparently from one sex to another, is too much for me, and I feel uncomfortable playing the game because it conflicts with my values and beliefs. I do not understand why that information is necessary for a design game. I love this game, but do not appreciate being indoctrinated or preached to, which seems like a slap in the face to players of the game who believe as I do. I know that is not the intention, but I would hope the game designers realize not everyone is on the same page on every issue. Because of these two issues, I cannot give the game a five star rating.

Designing rooms is much fun!. I’ve been playing this game since 2018 and it’s my morning ritual to start my day. At first you don’t have much to go on as far as materials to use for designs for higher scores. I’ve found that I had to start spending money on diamonds and bundles to fulfill my designs to achieve five stars which is why I’m only giving this rating 4 stars. I don’t like having to spend money on something just to be able to enjoy myself but it seems that all games these days you have to so I have resorted to it. Once you get further in the game and have more inventory built up, you can design a room without having to make a purchase. You also have the option to borrow an item you may not have from someone else that you are friends with as long as you connect through Facebook and have other friends playing the game. But besides that, this game is very relaxing, there are multiple designs to chose from and if you don’t have items to fulfill one design then you can always chose a different one to complete. They also have Your Homes where you get to design your own houses after earning so many points and you get to choose different rooms to do down to the woodwork. You can also go back and redo those rooms. I think there are 8 different houses you can do all of them and you earn rewards for completing them too! All in all, I love this game and don’t know what I’d do without it!

Great. I play this every day! I only do the daily challenge because the other challenges have requirements you have to meet before you can enter, which can use up all your money. I’m not quite sure what goes on with the voting because I’ve gotten a five on a design I didn’t even think was that good, but the designs I spend lots of money on only get about a 4.5. I’m pretty sure that during the voting process, you only go against one other design the entire time. I get really disappointed when I spend all my diamonds on a design and only get a 4.5. I also feel like you should get more of a reward for getting a five. The only extra thing you get is 125 diamonds. It takes a lot of effort to get a five, so I think it deserves something extra, like an extra piece of furniture or a rug or something. Or at least more than 125 diamonds. And I’m confused by the “my home” thing. You don’t get a reward for each design. You only get a reward after you’ve completed a certain amount. But there’s absolutely no reason to even try to make the design look good because you’re not going to get rewarded for it. I think the “my home” concept needs some work. I will say that the ad is not what the game is. You don’t get offers on homes and sell them and stuff. You just design rooms. But I love designing homes and seeing if I’ll get a five. This game is a lot of fun and I recommend it.

Great Game, Needs Some Improvements. I really do love this game! I enjoy doing the designs, and I’m always eagerly waiting my score for each design. I do however agree with many people’s responses around the expense required to buy accessories and wall art. I wish that if I bought an item, it was always my item and I didn’t have to continue repurchasing. My husband actually chastised me for the vast amount of money I have spent on this game. I also agree that the voting does not always seem accurate and that the criteria is not listed when someone is voting so the design may not reflect the desire of the customer and instead it’s just based on what the designer wants to design. I have changed the way I play because I recognize that I will not be judged on the client criteria, but on the general appeal. As I am voting, it seems that the two designs I am choosing between are very similar in style/quality/score. Therefore, the great designs are put together, and the designs that aren’t as good are put together. That would mean that some designs that should probably receive five stars do not because they were put up against others who are also very good. Finally, I really wish there was a way to earn more diamonds. It would be great if after you have achieved 75 keys, you could keep voting in order to receive diamonds. Great way to inspire people to vote and incentivize those of us who would like to earn diamonds more quickly.

Great Game but Could Use Some Tweaks. I really do love this game and greatly enjoy designing the different rooms using different styles. There is room for improvement. For example, I wait in anticipation for my designer score on a particular room that I was extremely pleased in how it turned out, only to receive a lower score while a room that was designed in all white, all black, a combination of the two or one that didn’t even follow the style description wins “Top Score”. I’ve voted for some pretty amazing designs during judging that I’m sure also scored lower than the so called “Top Designs” that use little imagination by going monochromatic or use whatever style the player wishes rather than follow the style description given. It’s kind of demotivating to say the least. I feel as if 90% of the players have a thing against using actual color in a design. It would be helpful if the developers left in the description on the voting screens to remind the judging public of what style was supposed to be depicted. Also, items are priced way too high for only getting 5 uses from them before having to repurchase them. And last but not least, there is a greatly insufficient diversity in artwork and decorative items to go with the varied style choices. If you can ignore the “color blind” attitudes of the voting public and not get too upset when your design doesn’t do as well as the same boring all black, white or gray right rooms, then you’ll enjoy this game.

UNHEALTHY ADDICTION. Okay, let’s first start off saying that the game itself is very well put together. I never noticed any major bug or glitches that effects how I play the game. I love how everyone votes to decide the final results instead of it just being scored based on the app. It’s a great game overall, though I do have some ideas in order to improve the game. First off, some of the prizes we win are not very cute, no hate towards the actual creator, but I wish we could earn money from selling items. Multiple times I would be scrolling through the furniture and accidentally bought something, meaning I’m stuck with it. I also disagree how much diamonds we get when we have a 5 star winner. 125 is a whole lot of NOTHING. Especially since I have spent so much money with in store purchases because everything is so dang expensive. And even with spending diamonds, you still could have a piece that scores lower. I feel as though five stars should be worth 10,000 diamonds, since not everyone can just get a 5.0. The last thing I feel is that we should be able to see the statistics of each one we enter. I think it would be neat to see how many people entered it and how everyone else ranked in the league. All in all, I would say play this game, but they do need to update things to make trying to win actually fun.

Good, could be great. The actual app is actually fairly entertaining (for those who enjoy design); however, as with most, there is room for improvement. The furniture and other items are really quite expensive, and it’s difficult to create a good design without paying real money for extra “diamonds” — especially if one chooses to enter more than just the daily challenge. There are times I will have to collect the daily reward but skip entering the challenge, so I can save up enough diamonds. They do offer free diamonds through Tapjoy, but more than 1/2 the time, you don’t get the reward for the action. I think my only other issue is that it does seem a little gender biased. All challenges are determined by user ratings, and I’ve noticed there’s a strong preference toward girly/frilly/flowery designs. As a guy, I like more sleek, modern, monotone (or at least black/white/gray) and industrial, and those don’t get more than 4 stars except for a few key exceptions (mainly when the room is very contemporary and requires a modern design — there are often requirements for challenges). I guess since it is an interior design app, it does make sense that the majority of the users would be females, which is disappointingly stereotypical. All in all it’s a fun app. If one doesn’t mind in-app purchases, it’s a great app. I just have a very hard time justifying paying for apps or in-app options.

Slow and expensive!. I was hooked on this game at first but there is so much room for improvement! First off the constant issues with loading the game, rooms, product, etc. is extremely frustrating. Constant reboot whether you’re on top of the line wifi connection or mobile service. Second, every item you get whether you buy it or earn it as a price has a limit of 5 uses, if you exhaust all 5 you have to purchase the item again. For example, a dining room might call for 6 chairs but you only have access to 5 chairs, so in order to meet the requirements for the room you basically have to purchase the same chair twice to have enough. There shouldn’t be a limit of 5 once you purchase an item. Finally, the algorithm of voting does not make sense. It seems the more rooms you submit the lower your overall score. Each room submitted gets put up for voting & it’s based on 5 stars, if you get more than 4 (4.01 for example) you earn a piece of furniture. But if you get less than 4 (3.99) you don’t earn the piece of furniture. The voting is based on two rooms at a time, and sometimes two rooms don’t even compare to the effort put in. So a slightly less decorated room will lose to the advantage of another more decorated room, however the more decorated room might not be worth a 5 star rating but earned 5 stars simply because it was running against a less decorated room, not so much because of the attractiveness of the room.

A few inconsistencies but otherwise great. I’ve been playing this for almost a year now and have enjoyed it very much. While in general I prefer the idea of the design apps where you choose the colors and patterns rather than rooms and furniture that are already colored and patterned, the execution of this game is so much better that I play it much more often than those. The sorting is the only feature that could use some help. An example that is a widespread issue: I have a purple (plum berry shade) couch. There are no matching ottomans if I search by purple, so if I were new to the game I would assume none existed. If, however, I search ottomans by the color burgundy I find one in the exact shade of plum berry purple I am looking for. The same issue happens when I search for a matching desk chair, except there are none under purple or burgundy. Instead this time I have to search under the color pink to find the exact same shade. This happens with a lot of different items. The whole search terms thing needs an overhaul imo. It would be great to be able to search by sets also. For instance if Arhaus brand has more than one item in different categories that are called, say, Brandy Stripe or something, then having an option to easily see the other items that match would be great. Tip: if you can’t find enough green options to suit your needs, look under blue. A lot of clearly green items are listed as blue.

why is the design pass leaving. I thought the concept was good for the design pass but i felt like we shouldn’t have to pay 4.99 to open the better side of the prizes. It would make us more challenging then we already get with this game. If i thought i could win 3,000 diamonds and maybe a chair (from the side of the design pass that doesn’t cost 4.99) then that would make me want to go and fulfill all the challenge requirements for winning more prizes. And what happened to being able to download games and play to a certain level to be able to win Diamonds?? I did that all the time , and now it’s just about ordering stuff online that they pick for you to buy (and you have to spend a certain amount) to win any diamonds. whaaa??? Don’t get me wrong i still play but i hardly play anymore. I’ve played since 2017 but sometimes i just think it’s too expensive so i go play freecell solitaire instead. The odd number of 5 when buying items to me doesn’t make any sense especially when it comes to the chairs. 🤷‍♀️ And the color, style when your designing needs updated. I just feel like i got to spend all my money and diamonds if i actually want to play a few challenges. When i play i would like to feel like earned enough money by my designs to buy hi end things and make a room like i want it to look. Still like it i just wish it would update and take in all of our feedback for better playing.

Love the idea, but needs a couple changes. The majority of the concepts found in this game are great, the guidelines and styles are varied so you don’t get bored, and the rooms and products are beautiful! That being said, my biggest complaint is how wacky the voting is - designs that win five stars often have NOTHING to do with what the “client” has requested, which in the real design world WOULD NOT WORK. I don’t know if it’s mostly because it takes five votes to get three keys (which I will admit, gets really old after a while) so people just pick one for the keys instead of the design, or if it’s something else, but it can be very frustrating when a design that meets all of the criteria gets a 3.78 and another that is monochromatic and doesn’t reflect the style of the room gets a 5.00. The other biggest issue I have (like many of my other fellow players) is how hard it is to get diamonds, and how overpriced wall art and accessories are. The pieces that often make a design come together should not be harder to purchase than a couch or bed. I really enjoy playing this game, it’s by far the most realistic, beautiful, and thought out design game I’ve seen. However, these two aspects are making it far less enjoyable than it could be, and it’s getting pretty frustrating at this point. I would love to see some other options for earning diamonds and keys, and maybe that will help with the voting as well!

Great fun, but some minor issues. I’ve been playing with this app for years and really enjoy it. I don’t mind dropping a few $ here and there for some of the new fun bundles because I look at it the same as any other money I spend on entertainment. I have some suggestions though: 1) some of the accessories are wildly out of proportion to room/furniture sizes. Like a floor decor vase that is supposed to sit beside an accent chair, should not look bigger than every chair. 2) some room challenges require a certain brand or style of furniture that has no options that match the decor of that room. Like for example, there will be a room that’s a very glitzy glam setting but the furniture requirement is some brand that specializes in rustic. 3) more pillows that are not “limited” please! Also, the white pillows that are not “limited” look grey, not white. Yuck. 4) this one is huge: better categorization. Please please add a style or theme category for “holiday”. I waste so much time scrolling through my inventory looking for specific items that I still have from prior year holidays. I would also love it if the wall art was categorized by more than just color. Especially kids art. I’d love to be able to filter out kids art when I’m working on a nursery. On other thing, for the past week or so, the game has been making me repeatedly relog into FB. Why isn’t it holding the login? Very annoying.

Everything You Need To Know (From a Fan). Design home is the perfect game for interior decoration fanatics like me. And no, I am not pitching this to make it more money. I myself have not bought any virtual currency, yet I still love this game. It is very sophisticated, as it has real life furniture brands that you can buy products from in the game to use in your designs, and they aren’t just randomly invented sofas or something. Some examples of such are Kathy Kuo Home, Serena & Lily, Apt2B, Arhaus, Loloi, Noir, Worlds Away, and recently, Fremarc. There are many others, and there is a place in the game dedicated to lists of the brands involved. This list also has links to the brand websites, in case you wish to look into any piece in real life. Another perk is that there is a reasonable daily allowance for every player of this game regardless if they have or haven’t purchased anything, whether it’s more cash, jewels, or keys. I speak from experience saying it’s not too hard to get a design or two (or 3) done every day, because they run new ones every few hours, and there are sometimes exclusive ones like the “House Hunters”, the “Wayback”, and the Summer Exclusive Challenges. Besides the designs, there is also a “My Home” available at level 8 where there are no design requirements or keys involved, and you can design your heart away.

Getting Pricey. I have played this game for many years. At first when you had the option to buy the limited time furnishings there would be two price points. This is becoming less and less available with only a higher price option. Sometimes the only way to access the the limited furniture is only through purchase and not available in the shop to use your diamonds to buy with. I do not always think the scoring is fair as I don’t think many people read the description of the room eg rustic, tropical etc. Placement of furnishings is sometimes unrealistic and wasteful as a plant in front of foliage blends in or table top furnishings in front of a fire is hard to see. Daily rewards are low and it can take a long time to reach the next level. Perhaps a bonus day once a week with extra diamonds would express your gratitude towards your customers.

Was good at first, but...... When I first got the game it was so good. I was having so much fun designing things. But the next day I ran into some money issues. I only had 321 dollars and 221 diamonds. And I was only on level 2 so I didn’t have much furniture. And I also didn’t have enough money to by anything. And there was also requirements I had to follow. So I just decided to wait until the next day to play again. Then the next day came (today). I went and did more designs. Then I realised that I didn’t have any money left over! And only 121 diamonds. So then I decided to re install the app. I got the app again. I went on it. And I realised I still had no money. ALL IM SAYING IS MONEY MONEY MONEY. EVEN MY SISTERS ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH IT. I HAVE SEEN OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT HOW HARD IT IS TO MANAGE YOUR MONEY! PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE

So frustrating!. This game becomes frustrating very quickly as everyone else has said- impossible to play when you want to because they set criteria for designs which are impossible to meet as you don’t have enough money- unless of course you contribute with your own real money. It’s a cash grab and whilst the concept is great the creators are so money hungry they won’t even listen to feedback. I am locked out of designing because I can’t afford it- you play a game because you want to forget your troubles in the real world not mimic them! It just becomes stressful when you see all this beautiful furniture that you can’t afford so you can’t play- it’s a real downer and super frustrating!!

Ups and downs of design home. This review is more about ups and downs of my perspective Downs To begin with, one of my major complaints is that if you run out of money and you delete the game, your progress from your previous download, is still saved. Once or twice I ran into this issue and found it, a little frustrating. Plus, if you’ve already done the 2500 challenge, you have to wait a day to get more money. Please do something about this. Ups For the ups, this game helps people’s fashion skills improve! Like room designing, in this game you aim for perfection meaning your everyday designing skills as people will say, are on another level. Just think of all the comments! Another good thing is, the furniture is realistic! It looks amazing! And the opening design for loading the game, is just gorgeous! Questions? Yes, I have one question, are the brands in design home real? Sum To finish my review, design home is an awesome game just like any other game except, it isn’t like the rest, some could say it’s better! Please do something about my complaints.

Missing the Logistics. When I first downloaded this game, I was pleasantly surprised. The tutorial was nice and I enjoyed it. At first. Then I discovered you could only actually DESIGN your own HOME at level 4, and until then you could only complete challenges. (What’s up with that? It’s called DESIGN HOME!) I also have not received my daily gift. You see, to get money, I have to submit challenge designs. To submit challenge designs, I need money to buy the items I need. When I don’t have my daily gift, I can’t play the game. I was very unhappy when I saw there was nine minutes until my gift would arrive, and then find later on it would be 23 hours. And there were no positive changes to my diamonds or money. I also found strange the fact I downloaded the game around 8 in the morning, but wasn’t given a daily gift that day either. This game is great if you have a real job and can afford to buy currency, but other than that, don’t expect to be able to play very productively. I also think the guidelines to some challenges are very restrictive. Some challenges require me to have 4 modern black metal items, which is impossible because I have played this came for only days, and there is no way I should have 4 black items that are also modern, and also metal. I think it would be much better if the Developer let you do whatever, but you got extra points for using those 4 modern black metal items. Some people don’t have money to throw around.

Expensive. Don't get me wrong, I really really want to love this app but it's way to expensive. I have even used my own money to purchase diamonds multiple times as well as spending hours downloading other pointless apps and trials to earn free diamonds but still can't get ahead. When you "purchase" an item you're only allowed to use it 5 times when even in one design room you usually need to use that one item more then once such as placing 6 dining chairs around a table so you never get anywhere unless you're willing to spend hundreds of dollars on this app. You need to get rid of this 5 uses rule, make the number of uses higher or give bigger rewards for completing a design otherwise most people will end up quitting this app because of expense. Really disappointed because this would be a great app if you could ever get anywhere with it.

Too expensive for most.. Its no surprise that to do really well in this game you have to spend tons of cash. After all that's how the developers make their money. But surely the manufacturers could release a limited version for free then charge a one off price for the entire game. Also Instead of giving furniture as prizes for 4+ ratings they could reward with coins and for a rating of 5 the reward could be gems. It would make this game much more user friendly for those on limited incomes. There could still be the options to purchase if you choose to. Great concept but can be very expensive if you want to do well.

Not the best. This app is constantly needing to be shut down and restarted. I even turn my phone on and off and start the app again still with no luck. So after completing each level I have to shut the app down so I can play the next level, otherwise it just freezes and says there are technical issues. Also as a previous person commented that you only get to use an item 5 times once you buy it. This is stupid, other games I’ve played similar to this once you purchase the item you can use it as much as you like. Also how long it takes to actually level up to be able to win decorations etc... is a joke. After a few years of playing this and getting nowhere I think it’s time I stop.

First you gotta speed it up..🎼. Just wanted to let you know the recent change to the voting is incredibly boring. The process is way too s l o w Tap tap!! Half hour later the next two rooms appear. Tap tap!! 30 minutes later... it does my head in. Nobody likes having to vote. The game is BRILLIANT in all other aspects. There HAS to be another, better way to earn keys, ( or scrap that altogether ) Let me assure you, I still will tap blindly whilst staring out of my glass sliding doors, watching the waves roll in. I do not care who’s room looks better, who wins a 5 star score, or who’s room doesn’t. I play for the fun of decorating and only vote because we are regimented to do so. I will NEVER actually ‘look’ when I’m voting, no matter how s l o w you make it go. If you want players to enjoy all aspects of this game then change that horrid requirement and provide REAL incentive. Give players 10 keys each time they vote on 5 pairs. And speed it the fk up😊 just sayin’ ! apart from that the game truly is the best one out there. Have a lovely day😊

More filters. Very good design game, great fun creating all the different rooms! I do have a couple of criticisms though; I find it incredibly frustrating that the daily challenges do not have any requirements to design the “style” designated in the description eg. rustic, luxe, etc. Far too often the five star winners have not followed the brief AT ALL! I don’t really see this as a “challenge” in this regard, if you can furnish any type of room that suits you. My other criticism, or suggestion would be to include more filters when perusing items to purchase. It would be really handy to be able to filter by things such as price/price range, and whether the cost is dollars or diamonds. Otherwise a really engaging game, keep up the great work!

Fun at first but sneaky, costly, unfair, greedy.. I purchased the package deal of diamonds and game dollars on day 2 of playing after realising that it wouldn’t be possible to participate in most design challenges with only the measly amounts earned from watching ad videos and receiving daily scraps. I then excitedly built up my Inventory, selecting many great furniture and styling items, only to find out the hard way (undisclosed at time of purchase!) that items would gradually disappear from ‘Owned’! Apparently there is ‘limited use’ of Inventory items before they have to be re-purchased! Seriously? And with no reasonable way of earning sufficient in-game dollars and diamonds to complete challenges? While we feel more and more frustrated and ripped off, the App owners will surely be laughing all the way to the bank... ... earning money from in-game purchases, advertisers, selling email addresses* and probably also earning commissions on real world furniture purchases through their game. I’m glad I didn’t provide an email address and just used Apple sign-in, as I have read that other people have been bombarded with marketing emails from over 80 businesses after completing a survey in a futile attempt to earn enough in-game currency needed to play.

Poor technical support for and expensive game. I gave it two star, because they have very poor technical support. If you buy some designer bundles or diamonds and it charged you twice or wrong; they don’t get back to you for ages. I have issue with one of my home rooms, it won’t complete and gives an error. I have been contacting them for more than a week and no one has got back to me. Tried everything for troubleshooting info given in the app. Now my home points are at maximum and I can’t open any new rooms. They have designed this game to make you spend money and rating system is so poor. People with worst design can win if the paired against another poor design submission. Or you can get low rating because you are paired with very good design. Just a general observation, when you buy something in app you get better rating on your design, even if put minimal effort or accessories in.

Enjoy the game but…. It’s satisfying to put furniture in a room, and achieve the look you want. I think that story has lost its meaning, and now there are obvious reasons not to play. Apart from the fact that you must spend real dollars to achieve any sort of a room, (which has been pointed out in many reviews and nothing has been done), it annoys me that items often don’t appear where you want them. Artwork is too low or too high when placed, hiding behind bedheads or whatever, looking ridiculous. Chairs are often angled badly. I think you get the gist, this sort of thing happens all the time. More care should be taken with placement of items, so when I do spend my money, I can get a look that makes me happy. Please do better, or my money will have to go elsewhere. I don’t expect things to be free, we all need to make a living, but the cost is out of hand, and getting placement of items right is crucial. Its not rocket science, and really not too much to ask…..

Daily design. Love this ‘game’ and play daily. Get withdrawal symptoms if life stops me for a while!!! It does start to become expensive (especially when paying US$ from Australia). I am finding many of the prizes in the monthly challenges are repeats of older items and not really worth winning as already have in stock (because they were not a popular piece to use)! Also it would be handy if there was a separate category for lamps so you don’t have to scroll all the way through table items to select this type of option!! Another concern is the accumulation of house points being capped and there have been no new challenges where you can use these for a long time. So every design is shown with a house ‘reward’ but no way of stocking them up for use later?? Aside from these few issues, I love the app 🥰.

Excellent, creative app!. This is my absolute favourite app. I’ve been using it for about 5 years and still enjoy it! People who say it’s expensive aren’t doing it right. This is absolutely possible to play without spending any actual money. The challenge is to create the best designs you can, with what you have or can afford within the diamonds/cash you have earned. The more you play and the better you get at doing this, the bigger your inventory gets. Part of the challenge is to actually design within a budget, like real life! So stop complaining people. Pick the challenges you want rather than trying to do them all and slowly build up as you design. It really is a great app. Thank you Design Home... I love this app :)

Way too Expensive. As much as I like to play it is expensive and you have been putting the prices up expecting the players not to notice, this is a game not a department store, I’m slowly getting fed up with being ripped off. You play on people’s weaknesses, that’s how you make your money, but you don’t seem to realise if you had a reasonable playing field cost wise people would play and be happy to. You should consider the consumer as without them you would have no product to promote, I am a very very disappointed consumer, and it seems I’m not the only one, but it appears you pay no heed, eventually the new players will catch and your product won’t be very popular as word will get around that it’s not worth playing as the bonus’s are cheap compared to the cost of playing.

Need Money to Play - a lot of it. I love the graphics and execution of this game But some serious issues with how this game is set up. 1. You have to pay a lot of money to purchase furniture to design one room like $10,000+++ but you only earn $500. You can do the maths pretty quickly on this one, you need to purchase more in game money with your hard earned cash AND you don't get to keep the furniture you purchased to build up an inventory, you only use 5 times, then you need to repurchase again. 2. There is a pretty boring formula to high scoring rooms, mostly its white sofa, blue/aqua rug or black and white scheme. They give you a brief ie rustic cabin and then the top scoring is white leather sofa with aqua rug and crystal lamps, a room that belongs in a city apartment rather than a rustic cabin. There should be a way to make sure that you get scored according to the brief, many of the designs are scored low because they follow the brief and not what the "community" has deemed as good design. There is SO much potential in this game but the great imbalance between what you need to spend to design a room and what you get back is so large, that you will have to spend a lot of money on this game to play it properly. Also it's not really a design game, if you don't need to meet the brief to get a high score. Seriously visit the top scoring players profiles and look at the rooms that get above 4.5 - they are all blue and white or black and white!!

There’s not enough MONEY to design!!!!!. This issue has been raised before and it would be greatly appreciated if the creators of this game would take this into account — WE NEED TO EARN THE DIAMONDS AND CASH IN SOME OTHER WAY RATHER THAN PAYING FOR IT. The game, as others have said, is really addicting. However, after a certain point, you wouldn’t have enough cash and diamonds to continue playing. Yes, you get daily prizes but to fully enjoy the game, you need to buy furnitures and decorations that will fit the criteria or theme of the room. To do so successfully, you need to BUY some items using the game’s cash. BUT THESE ITEMS ARE REALLY EXPENSIVE! Why don’t you increase the cash prize for each daily challenges? Why don’t you make 3 daily challenges instead of 1, so we can choose? Or why don’t you increase the cash prize earned for each completed room? Also, If we do watch the advertisement to get diamonds, why can’t we get 30 instead of just 15? I know it’s mimicking the real world, where budgeting is a crucial aspect, but all I’m asking is to make it fairer—at least make it DOABLE to design more than a room per day! It is a GAME after all! I think if you want people to continue playing this, you need to make them WANT TO PLAY it. I would love to play this game everyday, but because of these issues, I’m slowly turning towards other games. Seeing other people’s reviews, I think they have the same sentiment.

Expensive and crashes all the time!!. At first I really enjoyed this app it’s great. Then you quickly realize you have to spend a lot of money to keep up with the design demands. Also it crashes multiple times while in the middle of designing a room and I lose my design and have to start again, this has happened over and over again in the last month saying “there is a technical issue and needs to restart” as well as it freezes and also “can’t find items in the warehouse” error comes up when selecting already bought items. It’s very glitchy of late and frustrating to the point I don’t want to play anymore. Also it freezes when I purchase diamonds and charges me but doesn’t load diamonds therefore I’ve spent money and not received my diamonds! The rewards should be better especially if you score a 5 you should get 1000 diamonds instead of a stingy 125, you only get more if it’s a particular challenge. You need to give your players more of a incentive to stay as the furniture is expensive and the score rewards are poor and so low that it’s hardly worth the time or effort to play anymore. I really enjoy the game, however you need to review the reward system and also update the glitches.

Great Game, VERY SLACK Customer Service. Edit: I still stand by my previous review from a couple of years ago. This game is a rip off and they charge you for items you haven’t even purchased. I now remember why I stopped playing. Yes it is addictive and fun but it’s also a money guzzling rip off!!! Beware! I used to love playing this game, I think the concept of it is fantastic. HOWEVER! I have been ripped by the APP twice in the last couple of weeks and do you think Customer Service have even gotten back to me? I had accumulated a LOT of money and diamonds only to have it disappear and I have contacted support 3 times, the first time they got back to me and asked for further details so they could look into it which I gave them. It's been 2 weeks with 3 follow up emails and NO reply. Then today I was charged twice for diamonds (which I rarely buy). They then sent me an email saying my problem has been solved..no it hasn't...

BFFR. This app is a lot of fun! But it is very limited based on how much you can spend on it. Like VERYYYYY limited...Expect to spend $3 USD to $160 USD every time you want to play (if you want to make your designs look halfway decent). If you don’t want to, or can’t spend anything, the game is very hard to play. You can spend your time answering surveys for free points to then be disqualified for not being the right demographic. Or you can watch ads 24/7 for the smallest amount of game currency that won’t buy any pieces. I’ve paid real $ to play and I REALLY don’t mind that! I think people are ok spending some money on a good game to pay the people who create it. But it’s CRAZY to ask people to pay what they ask every-time time they want to play for a MOBILE game. Offer a weekly, monthly, yearly paid subscription or do better w your paid promos!

Expensive but fun!. The most frustrating thing about this game is that everything is expensive to purchase. I refuse to spend any actual money on this game so it makes it hard to actually design to the brief. You can ‘borrow’ from a friend but you can only do that if they have a big arsenal to choose from. The other frustrating thing is there’s no category for price. You can type in that you need light grey furniture but then you need to scroll through furniture that costs $2-$7 grand and you only have $500 bucks left. I’ve got to the point where I collect my daily cash and then not play it for about a week so I have enough money to buy things. You can watch videos or complete surveys to but who wants to do that and half the time it hasn’t acknowledged that you watched it and you don’t get your reward. This would be a great game if it didn’t focus on trying to get you to spend lots of money as sometimes it makes it hard to complete the brief and therefore can’t submit your design. Also wish that you could cash in keys for diamonds/cash

Money hungry.. not a game.. I mean it’s fun, but if you don’t spend money you can’t really play.. decorations cost diamonds and more than a daily earning.. way too many bonus decorations for extra costs now and they’re double the amount of diamonds for each products.. they’re never on the cheap side and the rooms, are all features to those objects.. so you kinda want to have something to match. Also the voting is total bull. I’ve done badly matched rooms because I didn’t care and got high marks, other times Ive done the same and get 5 star. Even following the colour matching perfectly like the other high ratings players and don’t even get past 4 stars.. people don’t actually vote accordingly. I’ve tested it. It’s gotten way too money hungry. Not to mention how buggy and issues they’ve been having lately..

Good.... Buuuut!!!!. I really enjoy this game and the fact that the pieces of furniture your playing with come from real stores is fantastic! However, I have noticed that the ‘winning’ or highest scoring designs are the ones filled with the ‘not required’ decorations, like art work and flowers etc. To purchase these things you need diamonds (which you earn 500 every 12hrs when you come back to play the game), but the cheapest plant for example is 600diamonds!!!! You do get multiple of each purchase but 1 room could need up to 4 plants, a coffee table display, 2 floor displays, 2-4 artworks a rug... you get where I’m going? I’ve noticed to those that put the most ‘non-essential’ decorations get the higher scores... I sometimes will buy some diamonds but I don’t want to buy all the time... it should be the style of the rooms furniture not the coordinated decorations that matter most!... don’t you think???

Cynical. I realise this app is developed with the view to making money, but unlike the fashion version of this app you only get to use an item 5 times before it disappears from your inventory. This is outrageous and makes it impossible to play the game without spending lots of money. The platform is cynical enough without this sting in the tail. Please developers make it like Covet and just let us own the item after we buy it. Everyone is frustrated by this and ends up deleting the app. Read the feedback and listen to your users. I too will be deleting the app despite really liking the concept as I’m not wasting money on virtual furnishings that disappear. Another issue I have is the lack of decorating options. There is very limited art work, plants and decorator items and most of them are ugly. Is it that hard to have a larger itinerary that are stylish? Also it would be good to be able to add things like cushions.

My bad way to kill some time.. Dying to redo my own interior but I rent so I can't do squat so this is how I'm getting my decorating fix. I haven't had any issues with the app itself, in saying that I have just updated it so hopefully no bugs or dropouts!! The game itself is pretty good, is a fun way to play around with colours and styles without doing it in real life. They are stingy with diamonds and cash and it would be so much better if you could preview more than two items at once. One more thing they should spend more time on: explaining the difference between items you buy with diamonds vs cash because it's too confusing. Also, they could include a way for users to change the orientation of pieces (like tables and rugs and that gold horse...for example).

No pay to play if you’re patient.... Contrary to other reviews in here, I have been playing design home for a few months and have never paid anything - you can get quite a lot of coins from completing a challenge and diamonds for opening the app each day & collecting them. While it’s a challenge to then furnish a room with a limited set of furniture/funds - that’s what I find fun about it. That it IS a challenge. Sure, you can spend hundreds of dollars buying the perfect in-game items to furnish your rooms with, but then where’s the fun and challenge in that? Anyway, I love this game. It’s really chill, nice to open for 10 minutes a day to furnish one or two rooms, and it’s legitimately made me better at decorating the interior of my own home. Love it :)

Please creators, please!. As everyone else has said, it is so hard to get money or diamonds!! I use to play this game so much, but I got to one stage where I had no money left over! The real problem is there is no way to earn money except go in challenges, but the challenges have requirements. And if you don’t have money to buy the required brands, you’re pretty much screwed. What I’m asking is for the creators of this game to finally Liston to all these reviews and make challenges with no requirements that you can play to simply earn money for the main challenges. Or you could even add a game mode where you have unlimited money for people who just generally want to design a room without the budget. So basically you can get this game but be sure to spend your money wisely, because once you lose most of it, there isn’t a way of getting it back...

Love it - I’m addicted to it, please download.. This is definitely my favourite game, by far. When I first downloaded this game, I was reading the reviews and noticed that everyone was saying that this game was expensive and and terrible, I thought I’d just give it a go anyway, but when I started to play this, they were completely wrong, this game is amazing! The graphics are outstanding and the whole ideas of the game is great! I highly recommend, this game isn’t expansive at all, have a go and you’ll see!!! If I could I would rate it a thousand stars! This game is too good to put in words. One suggestion though, when you design a room I think you should get more house point things (the ones to unlock a room in your house) Thank you, keep creating great games and ignore all that negative feedback (because this game is great, and I’m sure u worked hard to make it)

Give us a chance. I’m a newbie to this game and at first loved it ... until I realised how quickly and easily you run out of money. I’ve just read through most of the other reviews and thought yep everyone feels the same. I then also realised that a lot of these reviews are from 1 - 2 years ago. Obviously nothing has changed. The creators and makers of this game can’t be reading or seeing people’s reviews. I hate how you purchase something and only get to use it a few times and then have to buy it again. Geez imagine that in the real world. Going out and buying a lounge suite but then being told you can only sit on it 5 times and then you have to pay for it again, or we will come and take it away. Once you buy something, it should then be yours!!! There should be NO limit on it. Most of the items are so expensive too. I hate having to scroll through looking for the cheapest items. In real life I don’t buy cheap but in this game you have to. I refuse to use my own money, in any game, and will not do it in this one either. I’d rather delete the game. Until you level up your buying is so limited, that’s certainly not fair. Such a shame as this game could be loads of fun for the creative person. Pretty silly game really, just writing this makes me wonder why I’m even playing. Is my life that boring ... Nope, now where’s my gardening gloves, I think I’ll go out and play with my real succulents (that I get to keep 😁)

Ok. I got this app and i was really excited and happy.. until i realised it’s a waste of time! U should get another game rather then getting this app. I mean sometimes it’s fun but other times it’s super stressing! And I completely agree with joey2364, it’s a bummer that it takes away the items u buy when u’ve only used it at least 6 times, I mean COME ON! It’s stupid. And all the things are expensive and i don’t want to buy with my real money a couple diamonds or game money or even a pack of items when they’re just gonna be taken away the forth time i use them. Just go and do something fun outside or play another game or look out ur window at the glorious nature. This game is a waste of time and i advise u not to get it. Now i’m gonna go away and play a useful app, so not design home. Bye😊

Addictive game BUT..... I really see the potential in this game. It is addictive. I love it. BUT it’s not really a game. It’s a money spinner for the creators. In a game, you would be able to earn money to keep playing. But the only way to have enough to keep playing is to pay. It hooks you very fast so you either stop playing or pay a lot. And unlike other games, you can’t easily earn extra credits to keep playing. What i especially don’t understand is it makes you spend your own credits to design someone’s room but you never get that money back. So you are not a pretend designer, because they would get paid their investment plus a bonus. In this game the bonus is not enough to cover your spending or even enough to earn more money completing another job. There is NO WAY TO WIN. Anyone who keeps playing this beyond a few days must be spending their own money, kudos to the creators for creating a psuedo game which is really just the same as gambling at a casino because only the house can win.

Ruined by IAP and dodgy practices. I really really wanted to love this game but it is virtually impossible to get anywhere in it unless you spend money endlessly. The only other way to get cash to play it is to wait for challenges that pay you more money which you then use up buying the cheapest furniture and then can't really compete with people who spend their own money. Not to mention that any furniture you acquire whether through winning or buying with your own money, has limited uses! Like 5 and then you have to buy it again?! You can also do surveys to get diamonds - I tried this and ended up down a ridiculous black hole of surgery after survey, and worse, my email address then got used by each one and I ended up getting hundreds of spam emails which I then had to set up a lot of filters for. I'd rather pay $80 for a game like this and level up in it using my own skill rather than endless cash. Using money to level up isn't gaming, it's gambling with 0% chance of return. Really disappointed, I'm deleting it.

Not enjoyable anymore!. I used to really enjoy this app, but it’s stupid how you can only buy accessories (pictures and pot plants, etc) with diamonds, with no real way of earning them. I would be happy to watch a video ad to earn 20 or 25 diamonds like other apps do. You offer 15 free diamonds for watching a video that takes several minutes to just load (more often than not it doesn’t load) let alone the 30sec ad itself. This game was fine at the beginning because each time you went up a level you got given quite a few items to use but by the time you get up to level 14 where I am, the points required to go up to the next level gets bigger and bigger each time. So you run out of pictures to use. And then my other big issue is that you only getting to use a purchased item 5 times which is ridiculous. All I’m asking is make it a bit fairer, I enjoy the challenge of designing a room on a budget. But even that has become too hard now. So basically only people who are happy to spend real money will keep playing this game after a certain point. Fix these things and I would continue to play regularly.

It's not a game - it's an expense!. I really liked this "game" but have quickly lost interest (after only 5 days) because you cannot accrue anything - even if you spend your own money to play - which you literally have to if you want to continue beyond day 2. Climbing levels means nothing because any prizes or furniture you purchase can only be used 5 times.. And unlike other games their are no opportunities to earn money to purchase furniture so that you can play. Also, once you have entered all of the competitions there is nothing else to do other than vote on other peoples designs. Initially a bit boring after all comps entered then just frustrating. It's a shame because the game is fun and I would have been a long term player. Another review referred to the app as gambling, not gaming - but there is no chance of any return so it's not even that. Just a blatant money grab by the developer. The Greed of the developers will definitely kill the longevity of this game.....

Great art therapy but expensive to play. I love this game and how it gives me my fix for art therapy. However, I do spend too much money on the game and would like to see more people voting based on the briefs and less expensive requirements in the briefs so that it is a fair challenge for people who take their designs more seriously. I like to spend sometimes an hour designing based on the brief and then see that most people haven't followed the brief or are voting based on whatever looks nice. If the diamonds weren’t so expensive I think I would do a lot more designs but it's very easy to run out of diamonds and cash in the game and not be able to do as many designs. Developers please make this game cheaper to play.

Lily. I really enjoy playing this game, and it is possible to play, all be it somewhat more challenging, without spending real money. I do find the voting a little unfair as often I see a good room that meets the style brief do less well that a “pretty” room that is completely foreign to the brief especially so with the daily challenges. Occasionally I see what I consider an absolutely fantastic room - it would be nice to be able to automatically give it 5 stars and the designer should get an ext prize. I’d also like to see some items that were prizes and only purchasable with diamonds occasionally come up as available with dollars, this could also happen with art work and other accessories, but overall I enjoy the challenge of creating without spending real money.

Expensive Indeed. The game is extremely expensive to play with little reward for finishing designs. I seriously doubt an interior designer could or would design a room for as little as $500 given some of the requirements demanded. In the real world they give a quote which includes a budget with requirements in mind and their fee. On top of that is the voting flaw. Voting should be in categories i.e. Requirements and style of room being more points as to those just meeting requirements only, style only and just for looks. Examples: huge wall clocks in bedrooms, inappropriate wall hangings, inappropriate furnishings in infant and children's rooms etc. Voting should also include an option of passing instead of an equal sign when both rooms are not liked. Wonder if someone will put out a much better app addressing all concerns!?

I was loving this, but…. I was very much LOVING this app. I got it back during our 1st lockdown back in April 2020 & have been playing every day since. It’s a great creative outlet. Lately, since the most recent update I’ve been encountering a number of problems; the most frustrating being that when watching ads to earn diamonds the x to close the ad once it has finished has suddenly moved too far up in the corner of my screen & it’s behind the battery icon & I am unable to close ads that don’t auto close once their time has finished. If I force close the app I don’t earn the diamonds & it gets slow to restart. It’s highly frustrating & has hindered my submitting rooms - which if I can’t submit my room when ready what is the point of doing a room & in turn what is the point of having the app if I can’t use it? So I was loving it, but now I’m suddenly frustrated and would like to know why this has changed?

Reviews on other reviews. I’ve read some of the other reviews and they seemed to all be about the cost and expense. That is true, I have been playing this game since the Sail Away Series and I only have 11,000 money and 1,000 diamonds. This is opposed to the 65,000 money and 12,000 diamonds my friend owns, without spending any money. This game teaches you to be money wise, but I have a few concerns. - Many people don’t follow the description of each challenge. For example, a person might design a luxe living room when it clearly read: style an INDUSTRIAL living room. I always read the description and aim. But others don’t.😒 - the levels are very hard to advance in. Every level gets harder and longer. I am only on level 17, and again, I have started the game since the Sail Away Series. - lastly, I can’t seem to update the game. It reads: NEW VERSION AVAILABLE! We’ve made new improvements to enhance your designing experience. To keep playing, please tap CONTINUE to go to the App Store and update to the latest version of Design Home. I’ve tried that, and the blue download/open/update button said OPEN, not UPDATE. Seriously. I thought Design Home was a better game than... THIS.

You do you!. It’s true that you can spend lots of money on this app - If you are interested in competing against other people, you only want perfection (every time) and you want to spend longer on the app. I definitely would like to indulge in the last two but I approach this game (and I definitely treat it like a game) like I would my own home. I take what I have, money and furniture, I look for the best opportunities to use what I have, I’m careful about what I buy for future use and I have fun with it. And there are ways to earn extra money everyday (just by logging in). An occasional so-so room to earn some $$$ for another room is well worth it (sometimes I submit the ugliest room I can, just to ditch my excess I don’t want 😂) So I say, have fun with it. You do you.

Design Home. Love this app ! It’s extremely satisfying to get ur creative juices flowing.. I’ve been playing for years and have won many prizes .. more animal prints would be great, like rugs , stools - chairs artwork 🖼.. some of the furniture is outdated and needs a more 2022 feel , the old paintings are boring unless you do a farm or something similar.. And why are things sooooo expensive? Like today I was looking for a black and gold lounge suite and came across a chair 🪑 that cost $6000 plus dollars!! My black leather corner suite was only $3200 so I don’t know where you get your pricing from?!! And why oh why are all the art 🖼 and artefacts / plants 🪴 costing diamonds 💎!! For real !! Make them a mix of cash options as well please! Not everyone can afford to constantly buy iTunes cards to pay for them ! It’s time to get real and help your clients out a bit .. if you don’t you will loose a lot of players! Yes we all talk and are fed up with the diamond 💎 payment scheme .. other than that I’ve not had any game issues.. peace ✌🏽 out !🤔🫣😤🥺☹️☝🏽🤷🏼‍♀️👍🏽

Update fail. This game is really good fun... for a while anyway. Then it becomes an expensive addiction because you really can’t progress without constantly winning prizes AND spending a really large amount of real-life money to HIRE the items you need to complete and be competitive in the challenges. And yes, I said HIRE because, while you pay to buy pieces of furniture, artwork and plants, you can only use each piece FIVE times and then it’s gone from your inventory. If a game requires 6 chairs you will need to purchase twice... And now, the app is proudly announcing an update... great! Except that the update isn’t working for either of my devices and so I am now stuck in this most excellent loop - which has at least given me the opportunity to read the other reviews and discover that Crowdstar Inc has been getting this exact same feedback for at least 3 years and apparently ignoring it. If you, the customer, are reading this before you get the app, please take our advice and don’t start with this game unless you want to throw upwards of $100 a month at it... And just one last note - it drops out and glitches way too often for the kind of money it costs to play

I love you, but I'm breaking up!. There is so much to love about this app but I'm extremely frustrated by a few things. 1) it is VERY expensive. You basically have to spend money to enjoy it and 2) the voting system. Unless you style every room with white furnishings and a turquoise rug, you can't score over 4 points which you need to get free furniture. Other players don't even follow the brief e.g. The brief may be 'style a rustic living room' but the highest scoring rooms are, you guessed it, white and turquoise. How is this rustic!!?? There needs to be a better way to ensure players stick to the brief. 3) the time it takes to level up. I've been a heavy user of this app and it takes an eternity to level up so you can access different artwork and decorations (which is really the only interesting thing you can add to a white and turquoise room). I've gotten so tired of the same artworks that I'm just bored of this game now. 4) the fact that when you buy an item, you can only use it 5 times. This is inherently unfair, particularly when one is and something that has frustrated me so much that I'll delete this app. For instance, if you are styling a dining room and the requirement is for 6 chairs, you have to buy the same item twice. So in conclusion, I had so much fun with this and would love to continue playing but because of the above reasons, I need to end this.

Well, I love this game!. Despite some of the reviews I have read, you don’t actually have to spend real money to play. I have been playing for a number of years now and haven’t spent a cent nor have I looked at an ad. If you are just playing the game for fun, just play to improve on your own score. You can get most things you want to complete your design if you’re not trying to compete with those that spend real money. There are some items that require diamonds, but earning diamonds is achievable within the game, just choose wisely and spend wisely. To the Developers, thanks for a game you can play with the choice to either spend or not spend real money. I think it’s balanced. When I have had the need to reach out for support, the response has been prompt and helpful. Top marks!

I agree^ it’s ridiculous. I spent over 3000 gems on a sofa, which I only used in about 2 rooms as it always required 2 sofas, so I wasted the gems as once I got good results back in return I found that is was pointless as I hardly got anything back in return. Either give us more game money or lower the price of the item bc it’s quite ridiculous. I love playing this game or should I say I loved. I can no longer play it as I have no money or gems to buy anything as all the requirements are always expensive. I also agree that the brief is not stuck to and when voting u don’t know the brief so u can’t vote on that. I belief that you can create a beautiful room although not be scored higher than a 4 on it bc it is not white and red or white & gold. I will soon delete this game once my results are all in.

What she said!. I just read a previous review and I’m finding the exact same issues very frustrating! This app is brilliant and fun and has everything a home decorator would want. Except that to score a 5 I have to decorate in very matchy matchy decor. Which is not what the game asks for. So there needs to be some sort of way of controlling that, adding 6 coastal items doesn’t seem to make for a coastal looking lounge room. And it is very expensive. If I am wanting to use this app well and to its full extent I would realistically need to spend $16 a day. Now add that up for the two years I’ve been addicted! Unfortunately my husband and I share an account and he’s sick of seeing my iTunes come up on our credit card statement. I’ve been trying to play now for a month without spending a cent and it’s been the catalyst for me writing this review. I have not been able to reach a score over a 3.8 with such limited funds. All in all, this is a great app. I’m sure developers must be quite comfortable by now. Why not make it fun and fair for everyone?

Thumbs down to scoring system. I absolutely love this app!! I am a regular user and have quite a good star rating for my designs - However I find the scoring system to be a downfall. I feel it is not an accurate reflection of designs. For example, when voting you only get to chose which design you like better out of 2 design which the app matches up. (I’m not sure how these are matched and users never know what other design they are up against) Sometimes I would not really want to vote for either or if given the option would only give 1 star. I feel that giving the user/gamer/designer the opportunity to personally give each room a star rating out of 5 would be a far more accurate reflection of each design.

Good game with work to be done. Some of these reviews are saying that you can’t get through a few days without spending your own money. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I haven’t spent even a dollar on this game and I have been playing for almost a year. However, there are things that could be improved. 1) There need to be more ways to earn keys. The game is called Design Home, but if we don’t have keys we can’t design our home. 2) Options to choose if you want to spend cash or diamonds on items. Whenever I want an item I either don’t have enough diamonds or don’t have enough cash. 3) More ways to earn cash and diamonds. That’s just kind of obvious. Probably no one is going to read this review, but it is a great game and it just needs some work.

Stupid glitches. This game is so annoying not only is it glitchy in general but the whole reason I added this game was because I could decorate my dream home but guess what I've saved up tons of money and house coins and I can't even renovate my house because it kicks me out every time I've tried everything the support system has told me and it's hopeless this game triggers my anger issues like no tomorrow bc I just want to chill out and play not have to rush and stress to get a design challenge done as quick as possible before I get kicked off I barely play it anymore because of this just fix the glitches man other then that games fine it annoys me tho how we can't buy decor stuff like pictures or plants for money but diamonds and diamonds is the hardest thing to obtain in this game please adjust it

Expensive. Fun game and I love designing but it’s a huge rip off. There should be more ways to earn diamonds in game without having to buy them all the time. You earn $500 per challenge yet most items in the game are $1000+ and there is only one challenge a day you earn a measly 100 diamonds that doesn’t even get you a plant (even with the daily 500 diamonds) let alone a rug, which you often need to get a good score. Considering there are reviews from two years ago mentioning this and nothing has been done to remedy this, it’s disappointing. Trying to money grab kills the fun in everything.

Pas de réponse. Je joue à ce jeu 2016 j’ai rencontré un problème un gros le majeur ne répond plus incapable de parler à personne ça fait 2 jours que j’envoie des messages et c’est 0 réponses???

Can't make money. Designed to make you spend cash

Since the last update. I have lost all of my history in the app since the last update.

Dislike the new update. Why making the voting procedure slower? It doesn’t make me wanna design more, because now it takes probably 2X the time to vote to get the 25 keys to enter a challenge.

Not free. You think you can play free but you can’t. DH make sure of that. At first, you progress easily from level to level. But when you have to get 1000000$ worth of designs to get to the next level, you either need to buy diamonds, or design only one room a day for a while. But you’re hooked by then so forget it (and forge5 tapjoy rewards, so many bugs and errors, it’s hell). What’s more, the customer service at DH is crap. And the voting process it’s faulty. Anyway, if you don’t invest money your design are not that pretty and you often don’t get the prize, so it’s a spiral from hell. I would not recommend it.

I Vote and on the Worst Designs. Clearly, ratings on done based on - shall I say - taste - and those with bad taste are slotted in to compete against each other. I’ve seen some pretty horrible designs get a 5. It’s also hard to even vote on some of them as they are sooooo bad. It also appears, that you are rated higher if you’ve purchased and used the current “trending packages”. Anyhow, it is fun, and I refuse to feel bad if my rating is lower. For the most part, my ratings are decent and when there are low 4’s I look at the 5 star ones and see that is is generally because they forked out $ to purchase the flavour of the day items to do their design.

Lost all my progress. I’ve been playing this game for a while now and the most recent update lost all my progress. This is disappointing and I was never aware that this could happen.

Just good. It is a very nice game and fun too! But the things you buy should last forever. Also why does everything cost diamonds?

Scammers. This game is nothing but a money grabber I would like it more if U didn’t have to pay to play.

Nice. Very nice

Problème. J’adore le jeu mais je sais pas se qui se passe mais je n’ai plus accès au défi ni à mes notes ???

Good game, but needs improvement.. Have been playing for years. Great game, however, gets repetitive when you can't buy the expensive or diamond items. Would like to see more cheap furniture options because I end up buying the same furniture over and over due to needing diamonds or thousands of in game dollars for more interesting items. I would also like to see the ability to filter based on price because again, I can't afford a lot of the items or the diamond items so I would like to be able to skip them when looking for new furniture. More cheap decoration items would also make the game more diverse because the expensive diamond items are unattainable. There should be a more even distribution between types of room to design, most often you are designing living rooms. Overall, would recommend, however, needs improvement.

Disappointing. It is an awesome game, however the fact that the purchased items keep disappearing from the inventory is a very huge down point and you would not be able to keep long term players despite the fact that the game itself is very good! I hope you can fix this in later updates!

Too expensive. Honestly it’s a great game but it’s so expensive to play properly. I’ve never seen a game require this much funds for you to get those most of out it. It’s too bad, even their sister game for fashion has way more value

Plate !!!. Très décevant !!! Impossible à jouer crash toujours

NO RESPECT FOR YOUR MONEY NO REWARDS. IF YPU WANT A GOOD AND REWARDING GAME THAT WONT MAKW YOU POOR DOWNLOAD “REDECOR”. This game was good when I started in a week I’ve got the starter package and then it started to be the worst game ever. First that your inventory is not reliable. You will see your stuff disappear out of nowhere. If you are trying to get free diamonds it only works if you buy a product that they are announcing. The voting/rewards system is a joke, you will see your gorgeous design get less than 4 stars so they don’t give you the prizes. You only get diamonds back from a design when you get 5 stars, and it’s a little amount. It’s purely to make you spend money. I bet they make money already on the other end with all the furniture and design companies, but it’s never enough!

Great game but.... I really like this game...however there’s no chance for you earn any cash and the cash you get for doing a design it not enough to keep playing. You either have to buy cash/diamonds or stop playing. Also it doesn’t tell you when the results will be available for some designs and you end up “awaiting results”

Fun, but limiting. I find this really fun game, but I don’t understand why things like accessories and other decor products are available for only a limited amount of time, while sofas and other product are available pretty much forever. Why not have them always available to be purchased with diamonds? I can see still having bundles of special products, but why are they only available for a limited time? Having them constantly available would make for a much more variety and interest to the challenges and in turn makes the game more enjoyable to play. Also, I find the constant judging for keys to be very boring after a time. Why not make it more interesting by, say awarding a key for every vote that you make that wins out of the two. For example, if I’m voting on two different suites, if I pick the top one and it has the most votes I win a key. Just a thought.

This app is fun but. They don’t want you to use it for free

Could be better. The game gets frustrating trying to play only once a day and never having enough coins to buy furnishings to complete challenges. Definitely better decorating games out there

Money grab. They design a game in such a way that the items that you need to make your design look good are high in price. So if you want a good rating for your design, you have to use a lot of gems or in-app money to make it work. The problem is they don’t let you earn much and items are expensive, so you have to buy with your own cash if you want nice designs. Furthermore, most of the time, design challenges have required items within a colour or brand and most of the options are expensive. You can go for cheap, but it will be eclectic, ugly or it doesn’t go with the room. There is no option to search by price because they want you to spend your time and money on the app. It’s really too bad because I enjoy this game. However, I also value my money so I have to delete it. :(

Mon avis. Merci

Okay. Fun to play and educational but seems hard to progress unless you spend real life money. Completing a challenge, you get little reward. So unless I’m playing it wrong I have to design homes either with only what’s in my inventory, or have to budget with less than $5000

Don’t bother installing this. You can play the first day but once your money is over it’s impossible to gain some more. Most items are overpriced and challenges take way too long for the results. I recommend any other app of home design over this.

Great game but a money grab. Let me just say how much I was enjoying the game. The challenges were interesting and the furniture beautiful however... you'll end up paying for items over and over... each item can only be used 5 times and then you have to re-buy, and it's not cheap! By no stretch of imagination do you receive even a portion of money back from the challenges themselves, it is entirely designed for you to spend a lot of money or choose to not play at all! Shame!

Share an Apple ID? Forget about being able to play.. I wanted to play the game after my brother got it. He and I share an Apple ID but there’s no way to make a new account. They automatically make the account completely attached to Apple ID so we cannot both have it. Fix this please.

Money hungry. The app is wonderful, but so money hungry

Lots of options that come with a price. The advertisements of the game look like its amazing but it’s not everything is SO expensive! It took me ages to save 25k and you only get 2500 a day but if you want your room to look nice you’re going to pay at least 3k and diamonds are ridiculous the accessories and plants are next to impossible to afford

bad update. after the update all my stuff has disappeared and my account was deleted. had this account for 2 years now.

Latest update sucks. Voting to earn keys, is now animated and slows down the process. Way too painful to wait for. This can’t be good for engagement. Expecting a significant drop in daily use.

Rebut items after use. This is an awful idea and shouldn’t be a feature, once we spent actual money on it it should be there indefinitely Terrible.

warning, will steal your money. i have had this game for a while and have been good at not spending too much money on it, but that means you can’t play with the actual items you want so you end up making mediocre designs.. i decided to give myself an experiment of playing every challenge i wanted in january… i checked the total i had spent in the game mid month. $120!!!! and i still didn’t have the required items to enter all the upcoming challenges!!! the game gives you one free challenge a day that doesn’t have a requirement… All the other additional challenges require you to have certain furniture pieces that you must purchase within the game… What other game will you spend $120 on in two weeks and still not be able to play the levels you want!!???!!!???? Stay away, you will be broke lol

Fun. Fun to design homes.

Such a cool concept swept away with money making scheme. Unfortunately this would be a really awesome and fun interior design game if only the creators hadn’t gotten SO swept up with just creating a machine that amasses money. You buy things with either “cash” or “diamonds” in game currency. Fair. You even get a pretty nice starting sum of each so you can buy some starter furniture. Great. So you’ll soon find the gameplay involves completing challenges. Okay. You need to buy specific pieces to meet the criteria of these challenges. Also totally fine. You end up having to spend $15-30 real life dollars to buy the correct pieces to complete a few challenges. IM ACTUALLY OKAY WITH THAT. I don’t mind PAYING for games that are fun. However the furniture just DISAPPEARS from your inventory after a few uses. This Ensures That you will never be able to build up a strong inventory without continually spending money. The issue for me is I don’t enjoy a f*cking game that refuses to allow me to play after paying a more than fair price. Cause eventually your inventory will run out and you HAVE to pay more to get back old items or buy new ones. I want to love this game, I really do. But I’m not some bored housewife with hundreds of dollars to RESPEND on things I already bought. And that’s what they are banking on. The challenges are cool, the UI design is intuitive to use and the real life item incorporate beautifully. Too bad it’s abused so horribly.

Don’t get it this apps steals your money be aware. Well it’s an entertaining app has pretty good challenges, that’s the only good thing Other than that this app keeps stealing the items you bought within the game in order to force you to rebuy it again to keep sucking your money... it’s total inmoral and disgusting style shame on you . They never answers complains keeps saying too many complains... I wonder why cuz they are professionals stealing people’s money and bought it items At the end I don’t recommend this app.... at least if u want to continuing losing your money like gambling game.....

Fun but pricey. This game is amazing and fun, super addicting. But it’s too expensive. You get to design the first few rooms for free then you need to spend actual money on “diamonds” and game “cash” even collecting daily rewards and watching vids isn’t enough to play. You need real $ for this game. If you can afford it, it’s awesome.

Another rip off mobile game. I was having a lot of fun with this game until I noticed items disappearing from my inventory. This includes items I bought with real money. Then I figured out you can only use your items 5 times before you have to rebuy them. What an absolute rip off. A few seasonal or special items having limited use would be ok. But forcing people to rebuy things over and over is just unfair. This is made worse by the fact that most items cost a lot, and it’s really hard to acquire enough money or diamonds in game without paying real money. I will not be putting another cent into this game. For once it would be nice to find a mobile game that doesn’t try to screw people with micro transactions.

Good but.... It’s a good game challenge but if they could change a few things, like keeping a log of the items you’ve looked at cause trying to find them when you’ve passed them by thru the list of hundreds is a nightmare if you can’t remember the name or designer. Also, need a category search by price ($ and 💎) for those times you’re on a budget!!! So far, so good.

Time to change things up!. Please please please replace some of these decor items that we have been scrolling through for years now! The same rugs and paintings it makes want to quit playing, Also the dollar value that you guys put on your flower arrangements and pillows, blanket sets etc are out to lunch. Please make the game more enjoyable for everyone.

Fun but too expensive. Buying items is a must and you end up having to buy with real money. Too bad you can’t search for items by price.

New Update is bad. It was good until the last update, now every time I try to buy furniture the game glitches and restarts and takes my money but does not give me my furniture.

I’m With everyone else Such Money Grabbers !!!. I Love This Game But Gonna have to quit

House :(. I can’t live in app. :( what a scam!

Don’t download get different!. I could only do 3 thing because I couldn’t get anything 😤 don’t get!

Crashes upon startup. I can’t even play it, just downloaded it and every time I try to open it it crashes

Fun but.... This game is so much fun but things are too expensive so you end up having to pay real money just for furniture!

Fun but so slow. It takes forever to earn money to buy furniture. Items to purchase are very expensive. I have enjoyed it but now the I heresy is fading because it is too difficult to earn money and diamonds. It’s a shame really.

Fun game , unfair scoring and major cash grab. I love playing this game. However, it will cost you and absolute fortune to play well. Also, the scoring system is very unfair and has manyyyyyy glitches.

Greed killed this game for me.. I had to quit. This was a great game, but it was too expensive to play. Every time you had a great idea, you had to pay...diamonds, diamonds, diamonds. There is no way to play to your potential without having items and even when you buy them, they disappear. If someone were smart they’d remake this game into a staging game. You’d always have your items. Make the purchases cheaper and you’d have customers stay for life.

FED UP. Dear tap joy, You were very smart creating this game. Very addictive, giving you ample supply of money and diamonds in the beginning, enough to get the sinkers in. Then bam. Reality hits. You provide such a small “reward” of diamonds for “five star” designs (which is a joke by the way because it based majority on people speed/blind voting to earn the dang keys that also cost precious diamonds). The daily “reward” of cash isn’t even enough to buy a nice piece of furniture - mind you- you need around 8-10 items per room. Do the freaking math. 500diamonds a day doesn’t even buy you plant. So then you’re left with spending real money- which if you do, it is EXPENSIVE! Then there’s hope! Oh you can complete offers and “earn” diamonds. Cool. Ok, spend a month playing a ridiculous game and then finally reach the objective only to log in and NO REWARD. And if you’re lucky enough for them to go ahead and reward you, you’re waiting a week or more for “review”. You do every single thing a “tap joy employee” tells you to do so that this does not persist, and it still continues! I’m nearly 3 years in this and have a lot invested to just throw it away! That is the ONLY thing holding me because this game causes way more stress rather than being a relaxing fun thing for me these days during these trying times. FIX THE ISSUES AND QUIT BEING SO FREAKING STINGY WITH YOUR “REWARDS”. Until then, you won’t be getting a good rating from me and I will continue to call these things out.

DO NOT PURCHASE GEMS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF. This game needs a class action lawsuit against them then maybe they will seriously look into and fix the disappearing and reappearing inventory problem they have. Instead of looking into that, they just keep in expanding their inventory by thousands and thousands. I think they figure you have so much crap in your inventory. You can’t remember what you did or did not purchase, did, or did not use “five times”. Their “5 uses” rule is a scape goat excuse for the frequently disappearing inventory, and disappearing without all 5 uses being used. Strangely enough items that are used at least five times will suddenly reappear and are available but on the next challenge unavailable. If you decide to repurchase the unavailable item, you will get that use out of it and more times than not it will be “disappeared” again, as in no longer seen in your available inventory . Please DO NOT SPEND REAL MONEY ON THIS GAME~ YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF! This is not a new problem, I’ve been playing off and on since 2017 and this is STILL a problem. Clear cache, do all the steps …. ITEMS STILL not in my inventory. if I can’t see it in my inventory, I cannot use it in the game. Hey developers~ A LOT of my inventory which includes; in game cash purchased inventory, gem purchased inventory, 4 star entry prize earned inventory and level up reward inventory does not show up in my inventory, therefore I am not able to use it in game.

Switch and Bait. It would have received 4-5 star rating; however, after playing this game for a while (which it is one of the best till now) and investing $$$; they changed the pricing for ALL the table, floor and wall art (which by the way is needed if you want to receive high ratings and earn diamonds) - these items now can ONLY be purchased with diamonds (you either buy them with real money or earned it by scoring high on designs - however if you don’t earn it, the only other way is by purchase) before they had a mixed of items that cost diamonds or in-game money (which it’s more readily earned and therefore making the game playable without breaking the bank!) Last but not least, it took them two weeks to respond to an issue after an update (which they never resolved, but all in due fairness upon resounding with an apology for Kate reply and no fix - they gave me diamonds, which are very quickly spent because all the decorative items are soooo expensive) in the past they were prompt with their replies. Either they got greedy and/or have different developers handling this game now. If it works not be for the fact that I spent real money I will delete right away- but I will use all the items in my inventory so it’s not a total waste and then delete!!!

Fun but needs tweaking. I’ve been playing for several months now and it’s fun but a few things would make it better. First, allow the ability to check off items and then view checked items when in a room designing. If I have a choice of 60 sofas it gets tedious and annoying to try and recall which ones I liked, scrolling back and forth to try them in the room. There should be a tab where a person can save maybe 5 items at a time. Not permanently but just while in a room designing. Sometimes I get so tired of all the scrolling I give up and just don’t bother. Second, diamonds are earned way too slowly in an obvious attempt to coerce ppl into paying for the specialty decorative items that can only be purchased with diamonds. Without them your rooms don’t look as good as others so you don’t get good ratings and lose competitions. Once again, sometimes I just going the app to get my free daily cash and diamonds and don’t enter any competitions so I can build my money/diamonds and finally be able to afford to create a decent room. Do something about this, why can we convert cash into diamonds but not vice/versa? Also don’t bother ever completing the offers to earn diamonds, there’s only about a 25% chance you’ll get them and no support provided to petition to receive diamonds you may have downloaded apps, taken surveys and watched videos to get. So it’s 3 Stars.

Beginning to hate this game. I have been playing this game for almost two years. I enjoy the decorating, and I really enjoy the My Homes addition where I design my dream homes. It’s kinda nice to take a break from reality... That was nearly genius from Design Home. Why I am beginning to hate this game: It’s the diamonds. I hate needing them to have wall art, floor plants, or table art. Design Home is a complete Scrooge when it comes to the diamonds. I get that they want you to spend money, but what they offer through tapjoy is a scam. You spend time and energy to earn diamonds that they don’t give you. Then it’s up to you to PROVE that you spent all that time and energy to earn the diamonds that you didn’t receive, and if you were naive enough to try to get your diamonds without having proof, you have just spent more time and energy to receive nothing in return. As for the customer service from Design Home/Crowdstar... forget it. They don’t contact you, reimburse you, or help you with tapjoy. As much as I like this game, I don’t think I will play it anymore because it has become a source of frustration for me. Games are supposed to be relaxing, but if it is just frustrating, what’s the point of playing?

Frustrated Designer. I’ve been more and more disappointed in your design app. It is too hard to get enough diamonds to be able to purchase accessories I.e. painting or wall hangings. There needs to be a section that some of the items you can use cash for. Also the gift reward for scoring over 4 points item ALWAYS seem to be white. That needs to change and include accessories as rewards too. I’ve been using the new program with the rewards pass. It has addd some fun to the game. However once again we are being rewarded with boring neutral items, not much cash and diamonds are only for sale. I would be happier to be required to watch more of the commercials for diamonds and/or cash. I too feel there is something as-cued about the voting and the scores I get. I am an interior designer and have worked with my clients and made them very happy and pleased with my work. I’m certain that some other player have jus hit the equal score button as fast as they can so they can get the rewards and never really look at the designs. I feel I’ve been not judged correctly because it’s so easy to do that. I myself have done it on occasion. I love this app and am trying to not get frustrated with it the way it is. I think the rewards pass needs to be modified as I’ve mentioned above. I will have to stope playing thi app if it does not get any better very soon. Thank you, Terry Clark

Fun, addictive, weirdly scored. I agree with the other reviews I’ve seen - this is super fun if you enjoy interior design, the inventory is deep in all categories, and I enjoy the challenges presented and trying to keep within the budget allotted daily and earned per project. You win additional items for your inventory if you score above a 4 on the challenges, which is motivation to play this like a game. If you have any eye for color combinations and patterns beyond black and white, you really have to resign yourself to not getting scores close to or at a 5. If you look at the top scoring rooms for any challenge, 99.5% of them will be totally black and white and/or a monochromatic color scheme. Like someone will throw some beach themed art in a distressed gray frame on the wall of a sleek modern loft if the painting skews blue and the four pieces of furniture and rug they are using are also blue. Often there is little to no consideration for the client described in the highest scoring designs. I consistently score over a 4, but I have only gotten a handful of solid 5 designs. So if you’re cool with that aspect, it’s a really great game. And if you’re looking to really gamify it, just don’t stray from black and white no matter the challenge and you’ll score high every time.

Fun but expensive. This game is so fun and satisfying, but the fact that you can only use each item (even ones you’ve won) 5 times is a little stingy. I don’t mind the limit, and I actually think it pushes me to get out of my comfort zone and try new ideas, but I just think that 5 times is not enough. Especially when you consider that every challenge requires its own special items, and frequently these items overlap so you may have purchased them before but now you have to do so again. Also, you blow through diamonds very quickly if you want to design more than 1-2 rooms per day. 3000 diamonds costs $1.99 (minimum package) and most decent couches, for example, are at least 2000 diamonds -not to mention all the other items needed to design a room within the set criteria. Of course, you can get diamonds with the daily prize or by completing ad offers, but that’s a real grind and takes a lot of the fun out of the game. Other than the cost, though, the game is very well-designed; beautiful, sleek, and smooth. I also really like that you have to rate other users’ rooms in order to submit your own. It ensures that there are always enough voters to get an accurate rating. I also feel that it has inspired me to find my own style for real-life decorating!

Gave it a four. Gave it a four bc it allows a mom like me (four kids, two dogs, a cat and a snake) the chance to have a clean, well organized decorated place to call her own (even if it is virtual) without having to stress to maintain it. It could have rated a perfect five with me if it wasn’t so expensive to invest in. I do pay to play this game. I purchase diamonds, buy the special deal packs and even spend time viewing videos to earn the freebie diamonds. I enjoy the game however the cost for the items is a bit pricey. In my opinion if things were less expensive diamond, dollar and cash wise I would be more willing to invest more in this game. I would also like to see a “free decor” challenge. One where we can decide how “we” want to decorate the room for the challenge. Maybe have the bed option set for a twin, crib or master bed and Instead of the game choosing the brands let us have the free choice for one challenge. Allow the option to do a lamp or other decoration on tables. This would allow players to go up against one another with their own unique ideas. I feel this may even have voters taking an extra close look at the challenges before voting. I really enjoy this game and before I go on and on with ideas I’ll end here. Ty

Obsessed when I began, but starting to fade. I became addicted to the game immediately. It was meant for someone like me - creative, analytical, and highly competitive. There’s just one problem...I’m so sick of seeing top scoring designs that haven’t followed the design room description. I understand that the population “votes” for the best room, but in the end there should be some sort of penalty assessed when a room doesn’t follow the room description. Example: An Artist’s View was a blank canvas - white walls, floors, etc. and she wanted to add splashes of color. Yet the top 5 designs were nothing but black and white furniture and rugs. Please help me understand how this follows the rules of the game? Regardless of whether the players voted for the designs, there should have been a penalty enforced and those never should have been the top designs. Otherwise, why include the room description at all?? Just leave it out if you won’t make players abide by it. Oh and if you’re reading this, here is the key to becoming a top scoring player: make sure all of your designs are monochromatic (leaning toward black, white, and grey) and buy diamonds everyday so you have tons of artwork and plants. If you become obsessed with the game like I did, I figure it’s a modest $60 per month investment, at a minimum. Luckily I stopped buying after a week when I realized it was pointless.

Fun but disappointing. As I have played this company’s other game Covet for years, I thought I would really enjoy this game. I did enjoy it, however, it is just WAY TO EXPENSIVE. I can honestly only play it a couple times a week because all the furniture is thousands upon thousands of dollars and I never seem to actually have enough money to make a room look nice or to place all the required furniture. The second issue is the fact that items are limited to a 5 time use. When I found that out, I immediately wanted to delete the game because like seriously c’mon. If I’m already spending over a thousand of my limited game money that I already have, I want to KEEP my item. I thinking the fact that it is limited contributes to the expensive problem. The third issue that I find with the game is that many people seem to not follow the theme of the room. Many times I have entered a rustic, or traditional type of look and the winners are ALWAYS modern and have super clean lines. Honestly, I don’t think that’s fair at all because modern isn’t rustic!! They deserve a penalty or something because they aren’t following the theme yet they are the ones who win. I hope these things are fixed or changed a little because I really enjoy interior designing and I also enjoyed their game Covet...but I’d rather not continue to play it if I literally have to spend real money on it.

Fun but needs improvement. This game is pretty fun and addictive. I enjoy decorating rooms and seeing what other people have done. That being said, there is definitely room for improvement here. My major complaint with this game is the inventory. When you complete challenges you ‘win’ prizes. ‘Win’ implies that the inventory now belongs to you and is your property. Same thing when the game gives you the option to ‘buy’ a piece of furniture or decor. In the real world, ‘buy’ means you spend your money and you now own it. Well, in this game apparently ‘buy’ actually means ‘rent’ because after a few uses, some of the items you spend your money/diamonds on are gone from your inventory and you need to buy them again if you want to use them. This is a big problem. The game either needs to change the wording to ‘rent’ or let you keep your inventory because some of these items are very expensive and diamonds and in-game cash are hard to come by (even if you spend your own money for in-app purchases). Another thing is that I feel like the cost of items varies depending on what you have more of. For example, if I have more cash than diamond, I see a lot of the inventory I want costing diamonds, but if I have more cash, most of the inventory I want suddenly costs cash. I feel like this is a stupid gimmick to pressure you into making in-app purchases which overall lowers the quality and fun of the game.

Addictive. I just started this game 2 days ago and have already spent a lot of money, which is one of the reasons why I can’t get this game 5 stars. It’s an awesome game; seems so realistic. It’s very fun choosing between the various designs/options. I will say there a lot of cons but overall I love it. I feel like if we purchase and item it should be ours to keep. Especially if we are using real money. It takes entirely too long for reviews to come back (where is the lady at that was in the ad, that’s one of the reasons why i decided to play) It would be nice to know to allow people to review it and leave comments. The cost of items are too expensive. It’s just a game. We are already limited to diamonds and money which forces us to have to spend our own. And that too is very expensive. Which is why I’m not sure how long i can play this. I know you have to make your money someway, but shouldn’t you make money just off how many people played. We should be given more diamonds and cash for prizes and daily challenges. I just feel like you should give us more to play. And it takes so long for the next challenge. That’s a little irritating as well..

Don’t take away the chance to get spring bundles yet. I love you design star but with the worlds current climate can’t you wait a couple more days before you snatch the ability to get the spring bundle for those who are waiting to get a little money to spend to get those beautiful coral pieces. Also why can’t we you like the love seats and settees at the same time we use the chairs or have the option to use those in chair slots because they are so much smaller it’s hard to use them as sofas and still have the scale look right. Other than that I agree with some of the other comments about maybe having some challenges where you can play with the layout some and make more than $500 that’s not so realistic. I wish y’all would add throw pillows and other kinds of pillows for the sofas, chairs and beds I am glad y’all started mixing up daily challenges to include things other just living rooms. I love this game but since I haven’t been able to afford to buy stuff I have not played quite as much. What about earning diamonds for voting and stuff like that cause some of the earn free diamond sites are not good for your phone or privacy and data. Thank you so much

Enough with the B&W rooms!. I just started playing the game and thoroughly enjoy it... except for the propensity of fellow players to vote for rooms designed in black and white or shades of gray no matter what the client brief identifies. Today’s case in point, a living room in Oahu that was to be designed “cozy, tropical, with playful decor” had three top designs in full on b&w totally lacking any connection to the tropical scenario. It’s one thing to design a room that doesn’t meet the specs, but an entirely different issue if other players are voting for them. There is a place for this kind of design (did a couple myself) but not *every* room. Players also seem to ignore the challenge when the room design is meant for a man. Someone else wrote a review and suggested the voting area show the design specs to remind people of the design challenge and I heartily agree. There are some amazingly talented people playing this game - and they use actual colors and take some risks in their designs. It’s a shame that the monochromatic designs are repeatedly rewarded. So... I recommend the game (even though it’s a bit expensive at the start) and encourage you to take the time to vote wisely. The game is quite relaxing and fun if you just enjoy the creative expression of doing the design that makes sense to you, admire the work of others as you vote, and don’t expect to earn rewards unless you go with monochromatic designs for every challenge.

Keeps Locking Up 2-stars. This would be even better if the app didn’t keep locking up in the middle of trying to design a room. App keeps saying to check my internet connection which is ridiculous because my internet connection is just fine. It’s a problem on their end yet try to make out like it’s on your end. No accountability there, they should just say THEY are having technical difficulties. Have to constantly completely exit and reopen the app to finish what you were doing. It’s to the point it’s just not fun. This happens every time I try this app. Seems the server is overloaded and can’t handle too many people on at once. I also think the voting results are a bit disappointing. just design for fun. Also, my inventory keeps disappearing, I have cleared cache and everything, the things that disappear never come back to my inventory. That’s very disappointing when someone actually buys diamonds to purchase inventory. Where is my inventory going that I hadn’t even used? I’m done with this app. It would be great if it worked though. If you’re seeing I gave 5 stars I didn’t, it appears they are making a lot of peoples reviews 5 star when in the reviews the person clearly states how many stars they actually gave. I gave 2-Stars for this game because of all the issues. It should be 1-star for shady tweaking of reviews. Thats dishonest business.

So Many Bugs. I enjoyed this for the first few days, then issues started to arise. Game won’t load, gets stuck at the “arranging”. Furniture pieces, tried in a room challenge, cannot be removed sometimes. The icon for the piece seems to disappear or become non responsive. This can be a big problem when trying a new piece because I either have to buy it or give up on the challenge. When scrolling items, it’s far too easy to purchase by mistake. There is no confirmation question, and no way to return it. They need to address this very frustrating issue. Sometimes when I am trying to buy an item I receive connection problem alerts, over and over. In frustration, I pick another item seconds later and have no problem. Item issue, not connection issue. Customer service is no help, even when they do respond. Also, the voting seems really weird. Some entries that contain only the basic items to complete, often inappropriate for the room, get 4+ stars. Others, which have all the necessary components plus the purple bubble items, get 4 stars or less. Not sour grapes, mine have all been 4+ stars, but while voting I sometimes think “you got to be kidding me” when I see 4 stars on an obvious furniture dump or 3 stars on a well put together room. I’m going to look for a different design app, and suggest you do the same.

Love it. I absolutely love this game! I started this along with Covet fashion game when the pandemic started. I never played games on my phone before at all and never entertained the idea of spending money on any game. This game is very relaxing, calming and keeps you interested. A little pricey but I find the rewards to be much better, items affordable and I feel I get a lot for my money. I only have Covet to compare it too when it comes to spending money on games and this game has that beat! My only problem is some of the rooms are very repetitive and that gets boring. Sometimes they will have a room or living room looking unique but it’s rare. Also not enough dining rooms and kitchens would be nice. Maybe incorporate poolsides, more high rise apartments and more scenery (sunsets, night time, maybe beach side) with some of the rooms. There was a limited few that had some amazing scenery and I took a picture LOL. I look at them when I want to relax. Anyway, a lot of positive aspects I can say about this game. Much more than the negative. Edit- this game continues to be great. I have seen some great improvements. They are constantly adding new items to keep things fresh. It would be amazing if they would add tv’s and pianos to decor.

Diamonds need to be easier to access. It used to be that there were two sites to take surveys from and one was much better than the other w regard to short surveys that consistently gave you the diamonds promised. The good one is gone and the new one offers mostly VERY long surveys. If you get a short one, it often disappoints by being longer than advertised or not paying what was promised. The diamonds part allows you to make needed changes (NEW plants, rugs, and art) to keep it interesting. Somehow, it’d be nice if we could more easily accumulate a lot of diamonds (I won’t spend money on this) so we can have some really fun days w a lot of new stuff. Also, I feel like lately it’s much harder to get a 5. Ive been a little disappointed in my scores. Not sure why suddenly what used to work to get good scores (use of the current art, plants, etc) doesn’t work like it did long ago. The beds far outweigh all other prizes, too, and bedroom designs don’t equal the number of beds we have. It seems like a 5 should get us more diamonds. You can’t even buy a plant for 125. Overall, we should be able to get more diamonds more easily, so a “treat” of diamonds has more buying power.

Addictive but DEFINITELY room for improvement. I’ll start saying I’ve only had this app a little over a week and I am OBSESSED. HOWEVER, only being a week in, I’ve realized I have some major frustrations so not sure how long I’ll keep playing. My biggest frustration so far has been the voting. I get that we’re not all real designers nor are the people voting, BUT it is very obvious that people don’t follow the descriptions for the room and then they get top design!! Meanwhile, I’m spending my own money to get quality, eclectic furniture and then some cliche, all pink, chic room wins when that is NOT what was being asked for the design of the room. BEYOND FRUSTRATING. And I see reviews on here about this from 2 YEARS ago so clearly no one cares except the people playing. I guess this could be made better by adding more room requirements and also putting the same exact description in the voting box? Some of those top design people have the ugliest rooms. 😫 Another frustrating thing is how little rewards you get! Unless you buy them of course. 🙄🙄🙄 The furniture is quite expensive. So either....give us more diamonds and cash or let us use the furniture for longer. Geez!!!

Good game, nearly impossible to earn money. I’ll say it again,..I love the way this game is designed, it’s the only design game where you don’t have to play some terrible and impossible matching game to get money and it doesn’t have cheesy graphics, the realism is fantastic. However, this game has a HUGE flaw. I understand that they are showing you real products and that’s great, but the reality is that this is a game, I’m not actually purchasing these items, so I don’t understand why every piece of furniture is so expensive. The monetary reward for each room designed is not nearly great enough. You get $500 for designing a room that you just spent probably $5,000 to design buying items and furniture. You also don’t earn enough diamonds, it’s so hard to actually keep playing this game if you are not willing to spend your actual real life money and to me that’s bs. I should not have to spend my hard earned real life money to play a game on my phone. And not to mention that you don’t get nearly enough diamonds for your purchase, especially when each item is so expensive. I love playing this game, which is the only reason I downloaded it again after initially deleting it due to my above mentioned review. But I don’t finish most rooms because I’m not about to purchase diamonds with my real money. This game designers need to fix that.

I like it a lot but it needs serious help…. I love this app. I love designing and think I have a really good eye for placing items together to create something cool and unique. Unfortunately, the daily prizes are so so small. It is hard (almost impossible) to get cash rewards except when entering challenges. Getting diamonds (I call them gems) is also tough. I don’t want to give my personal info to websites or buy all these products just to gain gems to play. I also am not the type of person to use my actual money in ANY app. As much as I enjoy it. I think the price of the items in the game needs to be lowered by a landslide. It is hard to gain cash or gems to create designs and to level up. It almost makes it impossible. Also I hate that you can only use a specific item 5 times and then it’s gone. Like what?! We worked hard for the cash or gems to buy that item… we should be able to keep it in our inventory forever. I also think trading with friends or gifting items to friends for rewards would be a good idea. You need to give your players more free options for getting cash or gems in order to keep playing and leveling up. Nothing that requires them to submit personal information to sketchy websites or buying products that aren’t worth it. Just my thought.

Great idea, but.... Edit from Nov 2017: Tapjoy has to be the most frustrating company that Design Home could have partnered with. Over a month ago I sent in my complaint about diamonds I never received. I waited two weeks with no reply after sending in the information that was requested. Then I contacted Design Home within the app and low and behold it's been another two weeks and still no diamonds and no reply except an automated response. This is frustrating and unfair. I love this game. I play it daily and complete every challenge but it's extremely unfair to not reply to customers when they spend time and effort into playing what could be the best game in the App Store. Old Review from 2016: This game is asking for way too much out of pocket. When it comes down to it, it's not fair to spend $1,500-2,000 per room to meet the requirements when the payout is only $500. It's great to be rewarded 500 gems daily, but in the end I rather get the cash and earn gems by entering challenges. It's also not fair to purchase an item only for it to be taken away once you've used it 5 times. It should be rewarded back once voting is over for each room. If the game didn't make it so difficult to actually enjoy it, I'd be playing it daily by checking it every morning and every night. Hopefully the creators listen to their players and change a few things.

Design home feedback. I do like this game, however, the levels are hard to move up in. A million dollars for each level is tough to do and costly. Also you have us up against others who are several levels ahead and can decorate with stuff more appropriate which really isn’t right. You should group by levels since they are so hard to advance in. I would also like to see how many votes we actually got. Honestly, 3.99 makes me wonder how many votes I missed out on to get awarded something at the 4.0?! We spend real money to get diamonds and design a room and get nothing for our effort at all in the end is discouraging. I also notice, and may be a reason for me to move on from this app, the winners are almost always on a black and white color scheme?? They don’t even seem to read what the task is about. They obviously have to put certain requirements in to enter, but, a little kids room should not have big red lips on wall and win. That is my point as stated above.....the animals or space pictures are so out of reach.....kids bedrooms are almost impossible to do. And a teens room with baby blocks on the floor or an abc chalk board win the votes?? I know it’s voted on by people who play, but, there should be a way to change it to reflect the story you put with it. A house for the future and rustic or traditional take the 5.0 isn’t right, in my opinion.

Customer Service is Extremely Poor!. The game itself is a lot of fun. I enjoy playing it quite a bit actually. The cost of it can be quite high depending on how much you enjoy it. Don't expect to spend too much time on it unless you have fairly deep pockets. To win the top design prize...don't get too excited, that takes a lot of time and money. Then we have the issue of customer service....the game has a bad habit of kicking you out quite a bit. If you're lucky, you get back in with no problem. That happens 4 out of 5 times..as far as I've experienced so far. But then there's the times you get back in and all the work you were doing is gone, but they had no problem keeping the money you had already spent for it. So you send in a ticket to customer service. Their response? So sorry, we don't give refunds. In other words, they aren't going to do a thing about it except keep your money. Gotta love it! I've sent in several trouble tickets for smaller issues since I've been playing, and each time the response I got was pretty much the same. Nothing they could or would do about it. So if you want a slightly expensive game that is fun to play at your own risk...this is the one for you!

No Accountability. I spent $18 on an offer and was not awarded diamonds. I should’ve been awarded over 200,000. When this happens you have to go through the third party Tapjoy, then Tapjoy has to reach out to another 3rd party-the advertiser, and I may end up getting these points but either way because of their mess up I have to wait at least a week and I did this offer specifically for the current challenge series. Others have been complaining of an update glitch last week that caused people to lose all of their diamonds as well as some or a lot of their inventory. Instead of taking responsibility and issuing people proper compensation as whole, Design Home is making their customers fill out an individual ticket and even then the people who have been awarded anything is a tiny amount in comparison to what they lost. This game company has lost my respect since they do not care about their loyal players who have invested real money. Edit: I was awarded the diamonds, half was from tapjoy and the other half I had to go through Design Home support however swift action was taken and they awarded me the other half. I still take issue with making everyone going through individual to claim what was rightfully there’s instead of mass issuing everyone as a whole what they lost. Because of the customer service I will change my rating to two stars instead of one.

Needs work. I began playing this two years ago when Crowdstar owned this app. They listened to the players better and they updated level decor as it’s very outdated, they gave us new My Homes, and the scoring system worked better. Overall a good experience. Then Electronic Arts bought this game and things have deteriorated. The scoring is corrupt, they do not listen to the players complaints and make changes. There seems to be a disconnect. No more updates on old level decor since the sale. We’ve had no new My Homes in well over a year. And there’s just a sense of unhappiness with the service in general, mainly due to the voting issues. There’s clearly an algorithm that dictates scores based on mysterious criteria. Customer service refuses to answer questions about it. The same players are at the top of the scoreboard all the time year in and year out so trusting that the scores are only dictated by our voting like DH claims is a definite stretch as it’s not statistically probable or possible that we’re only voting the same few folks into the top positions. Feels like the more you spend the more you score. It’s a money grab and I know businesses are into making a profit but EA seems to look over the fact that a large percentage of it’s players are unhappy and suspicious. Needs work

good game, but needs work. i love this game so much, it’s so fun to play and it’s not childish at all like the other ones i’ve seen. but, i wish earning or getting diamonds was more accessible. i understand you guys have to make profit off of the game, but for me personally, i don’t have a credit card because i’m a teenager, so i can’t really be making purchases or anything like that. Diamonds and money are so hard to get unless you’re purchasing them with real money, and that’s what causes me to not want to play at all. i’ve seen multiple other people comment on this before and i wish the developers would listen. all that is received is an automated response or no response at al. i love interior designing, and the layout of the game is really cool, but there are too many things that can only be done by purchasing with actual money and that seems unfair to me. as you go on i’m the game, it becomes nearly impossible to continue without purchasing, the only way you could make money in the game is through the daily rewards. there are some parts to the game that are just unfair and should be fixed. also, i wish you didn’t have a limited number of usage for things, that gets a little frustrating. but overall i love this game, it’s so creative and fun to play IF you have money to spend.

You will spend a fortune. While the challenges are a lot of fun and the game is fun, the amount of money you need to spend to fulfill the design challenges is a bit on the ridiculous side. Most of the extras require diamonds and you only earn 500 diamonds a day. If you score a 5.0 on a design you get a bonus of 125 diamonds which is the equivalent of getting a 10 cent bonus when you need to buy a car. A plant is at least 600 diamonds. ALL the extras that you need to score above a 4.0 on a design (pictures, table accessories) require diamonds not cash- and while diamonds can be supplemented for cash items, the reverse is not true. The daily diamond gift should be AT LEAST 1000 diamonds. It still does not give you enough to go on a shopping spree but would allow you to purchase a plant or picture. The items you purchase should be yours to keep (especially for the amount of money they cost) and/or the prize items should be things you actually use on a design. I think the fairest thing would be to have the prizes have a five design limit and then what you purchase is yours to keep. Additionally, you'd think that as the levels increase the items at each level would improve. It'd be great to be able to say "no thanks" to some of the things (multiple pictures of red lips) and trade them for the diamond value instead. People will still spend money on extras but it won't be such an obvious money pit and would be more enjoyable to play.

Good, but could be great.. I do really enjoy this game but it could definitely be improved upon. There are a few really frustrating things that stand in the way. Obviously yes the slowness of new challenges is frustrating. I hate the new update that only says “new challenges soon” instead of telling you how long til the next one. A few other things too, like it’d be cool to have the create look/design option like on Covet so you can design rooms/spaces outside of challenges & you wouldn’t have to spend keys. It’d be nice if earning home points wasn't so difficult! The my homes feature is great but you can only do like one a week since there’s so much time between challenges. I agree with a lot of the other reviews about being able to keep certain items after buying (if not all- once again, like covet) or having other ways to earn more diamonds & money aside from having to spend real money. Voting is very time consuming. Having the option of earning more keys per vote by watching an ad (yes, again like covet) or even buying a “boost” would be nice, or speeding up the voting sequence since it takes a decent amount of time to load up the options each time. Basically if you make the features of this game more like the ones in yalls other app it’d solve a lot of the annoyances everyone seems to share.

Super addictive but could use some updates. I love this game and have been playing for about 8 months now. I have spent a good $15-20 a month playing and have won many diamonds via the free offerwall. Some offers are awesome, others I’ve had to submit complaints about in order to get my diamonds. I think the app could be more fun if they take away the super long descriptions for each room—I never read them, only put in the requirements and then put together a room that looks balanced in color that I think looks cool. This has helped me get lots of 5-plus ratings because my rooms always look aesthetically pleasing but don’t necessarily follow the design suggestions. I just quickly noticed that top scoring rooms always are balanced in color and so I play to win rather than creating a room that fits the specified challenge. Other reviewers hate that they followed the challenge descriptions but didn’t win. To each her own! Design bundles are the only things worth purchasing. To get bundles of diamonds I prefer to use the offerwall and buy something useful to get diamonds. I tried out a new home food delivery service for 100K diamonds and that was a win-win. It definitely helps to have more diamonds to increase your chances of winning because you’ll have cuter accessories.

My 2 cents. I love designing!! I love the furnishings and challenges. But, like many others, 500 diamonds a day! Really? $2500 for the design of the day is awesome,…however, you cannot buy decorations with $$$. Over 1000 diamonds for the really awesome decorations is wayyy too much. Each challenge requires at least 8 decorations for walls, flowers, and tables….Rugs??? Wow.. the amount is astounding!! I have purchased more shampoo and skin care products than I can use just to get a decent amount of diamonds. It’s not too hard to spend over 10,000 diamonds on just one design to get a 5 star rating. We want to design… not spend money. The rating??? Well…..It’s not being rated by professionals for sure. I’ve designed a room that wanted contemporary furniture with not a single piece of contemporary furnishings and scored a 5 star rating!! They look at the colors…not the style. If they like the color coordination…bingo!! I designed a very expensive, beautiful French dining room one time. It all matched and was breathtaking!!! I spent over $30,000……got a 4.25 rating. Some of the 5 star winners did not even use the “French” style. Just give us a fair amount of diamonds please. Just a end note…. A whole pile of people just click through voting without even examining what they are voting for. They just want the check mark off their screen. (Sigh)

Design Home. As you see I have one star, if I could give half stars I would have 1 and 1/2 stars. I very much enjoyed the game in the beginning, but soon found many aspects of the game that I very much dislike. Mind you I will spend money on games, and I have in this one. The prizes are mediocre at best and very very very rarely are prizes that would be useful to win at the time. The fact that you can only receive 5 of something yet in challenges require 6 chairs for example, well if you want your chairs to all match at your dinning table then you have to buy another 5 chairs. As you will find out if you start playing your prizes very often do not help in the current challenges or are the repeated item just maybe a slightly different color, or the same designers over and over again. My list of cons does continue but my many point is, if you are wanting to spend lots of money to design fake rooms this is the game for you, if you don’t want to spend real money on a design game then you can download this one and play it from time to time, but I would recommend finding a completely different app, since this one is primarily geared toward taking people’s money for a game that is alright at most. I can find way better games to put my money into then this one.

Unreliable, cumbersome - too bad for otherwise fun game. After playing this game for months - my entire inventory was wiped out with one of their updates! Customer service is nonexistent- no help at all. No solution to this problem - and I see several people having the same problems. They need to fix the bugs and address some of the recurring concerns that make this game too cumbersome to enjoy. All my previous points still apply - but this latest flaw and the lack of support make this a very unreliable game, especially if you spend your own money on the app. Don't make that mistake! Glad I didn't!!!!! This was my initial review: Agree with common suggestions for improvement and hope these will be considered and implemented. Make money and diamonds easier to get, otherwise it's too hard to get pieces needed for specific room requirements. Make sure challenges actually reward you with diamonds when completed. They very often do NOT reward you - very frustrating. Voting is fine - but it's odd to see some of the highlighted winners which are clearly NOT the best designs. Hmm .... Maybe make 4 star winners get prizes and a little money or diamonds. And let us keep our purchased items and prizes longer - - 5 times to use these items isn't enough. And some of the accessories - let us just keep those. All these would make this a 5 star app - I'd play more and be even more addicted! I truly hope someone reads these reviews and implements some of these recurring suggestions!

Full of Bugs and Glitches. This game is like street drugs. It’s addicting but can leave you flustered, irritated and broke. Out of all the games on my iPad this one glitches on the daily. I normally need to exit and re-enter several times before successfully proceeding in. The positive is that it causes me to check my updates in the App Store on a daily basis to make sure it’s up to date! The reason I say it can leave you broke is the diamonds. Really the only way to progress successfully through this game is by obtaining cash and diamonds. There are avenues to obtain this for free. Everyday you get 500 diamonds in your inbox and entries will also give you cash or diamonds, as long as you don’t spend money on new items for your designs. Free diamonds can also be earned by filling out surveys, downloading apps and making purchases elsewhere. Often times, I had to contact tech support as my diamonds were not given to me and I had to submit my query in a certain way in order to receive credit for them. One ticket took several weeks to complete. I was passed to three different techs. It was frustrating. However, I am addicted, just as others may be on drugs. So like one addicted to drugs may warn others with the famous adage,” -Don’t do drugs!” I also warn you, don’t install this game!!

Fun game- Slow and expensive.. I love the game, it’s a lot of fun. Be aware you will have to spend money to win. There is no way you won’t. Try and save your diamond and cash as much as you can. I still play because this is a like my video game. However I do have some issues. Judging- some designs don’t follow the “request” of the design, color scheme, cabin, etc. and they get a high score, not a fan of it, because I don’t understand what is the point of giving us request for colors, family, etc. If they will decorate a children room with a cactus plant and glass tables with sharp edges (lets be honest, that would never fly) Diamonds- it’s pretty hard to get a 5 star rating to only get 125, that should be 500 diamonds, and 4.5 rating 125 diamonds, and then 4 rating just the item. If I stop playing that would be the reason why. It would be way more satisfactory and would make me play the game more often. Then finally, it would be how long it takes you to get the next level, I have played 160 designs and I am only at level 14, that’s uncool. It should move a long a little faster, or have more table decor and portraits available at lower levels, because it’s unfair that I am playing agains someone who has cooler table decor, obviously they will get a higher score, or let people use the money to buy table decor. Those are my suggestions.

Definitely needs improvement. The way the game works it’s easy to rack up phantom purchases you didn’t meant to make so be VERY careful scrolling in their store. There is no “are you sure you would like to purchase this item?” You just suddenly have way less funds and if you’re LUCKY you’ll be able to retrace your steps and figure out what crazy thing you “bought”. And they do not respond to their contact forms. So I researched the company online and all I can find are complaints that they rip people off and delete their accounts. They never even reply to their Facebook comments of grown adults with legitimate issues. If I ever hear back from them and get my money refunded for purchases I didn’t intend to make I will change this review. *update: I raised one star to three stars. I had to send them a legit EMAIL but they finally responded to my contact form. The reply was sub par but they replaced my in game $ for the phantom purchases. They said it was a “one-time” refund even though their game play is what needs to be fixed. Must be lucrative. I will change this review again if they take my suggestion to prevent phantom purchases in the next update. I may even delete it instead of updating it, because they’ll never get more than three stars from me until they also reply to their contact forms in a timely manner.

Expensive But Awesome. Well, as someone who has spent hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars on this game, I will say that it is phenomenal. With that said, it is not nearly as fun if you are playing without spending money on it. You don’t get to buy most of the best rugs, any wall hangings, or accessory decor without diamonds- and since you only get 500 free diamonds a day, it really doesn’t allow you to purchase many of the above listed items. Those items makes the design more luxurious and gives it a chance of getting a 5 star score (or close). So, one is tempted to constantly purchase diamonds to be able to enhance the room design and quality- and ultimately make the game more enjoyable. With that said, it is amazing that they are constantly coming up with new and unique designs for us to create. It’s so fun to go through the seasons decorating accordingly, with the seasonal options and special packages they consistently have available to purchase (with diamonds). Also, in real life, I now have a better knowledge of my own taste and good room design, in general. This game is so fun and it’s so satisfying to get a 5 star score. I have been aiming to get one of my rooms featured on the Home Screen- maybe one day! Until then, I’ll be playing and trying not to spend too much money!! Have fun!

Shantell: Lost of inventory, diamonds and cash!!!. I’m saddened by how things are taken care of I spend lots of money with you guys, yet when I make a purchase from the many companies you partner with it takes me to have to ask for my required amount of diamonds due me... There have been times I’ve had to reach out numerous times this is the second time I’ve switched devices, and I don’t know why you guys short me my inventory I’ve paid for and you short me the diamonds and cash I’ve bought the first time I didn’t pursue but not this time I had a total of 115 floor plants with a count of 1-24 in total of that type, when I recaptured on my new device I only have 7 different types and a count of 5 for each type do you think that’s fare??? A lot of my items were won by playing the game but far more from me spending hundreds on my money purchasing diamonds, I enjoy the game or I would not have spent the money I’m not happy with the fact that you stole all my inventory, diamonds, and cash I’m not happy at all, and now if I want to continue playing I’ll have to spend hundreds more to build my inventory back up the floor plants is only one item there’s not enough space to go through everything... I’m really upset and sad thinking I’m going to have to stop playing this game all the money and time will be a waste and I have no way to recoup any of it...

Disappearing Inventory. i absolutely love this game. it’s very fun, to the point where it’s almost addicting. i do have one HUGE gripe though. over the last few months. i will use my real life money to purchase diamonds or decor bundles and items i purchase will suddenly disappear from my inventory, making to you where i have to RE-purchase it to use it. i contact support each time and they ask my to jump through all these hoops to make sure it isn’t something on my end. i’ve done everything they’ve instructed me to do and it still happens. i’m literally throwing money away and nobody has even so much as offered to accommodate me by either simply putting the item back in my inventory or allowing me the diamonds to do so. i feel like that would be such a simple way to make things right, if this issue is going to continue, since it’s already been months on end. i’ll notice that even exclusive items i purchase mit he prior will suddenly disappear too and aren’t available to repurchase again. extremely frustrating. very dissapointed. i feel like i’m practically throwing money away and customer service just keeps asking me to jump through all these hoops. again, the game itself is great, but please be prepared that this could happen to you and you will have very little help with it, and none that is actually effective.

Decent, but expensive. I like the app, has great variety in furnishings, however, once you’ve used up all the starting money, it gets expensive. If you want to adequately decorate a room, plan to login every day, watch all the ad videos, then logout, do it again the next day, repeat for 5-7 days, then you’ll have enough to spend to get something nice. They run special pieces often, but once you buy & use them, they’re gone forever. (It would be nice if you had the option to buy more of the special items indefinitely, if you’d purchased them at the initial release.) Also, don’t expect a good rating from other players; most have no training in interior decorating… over 1/2 the other designs submitted daily use the same picture on the wall in 2 or 3 places! (Who would do that in their home? or accept a “professional” design from anyone that did?) It would be nice if there was a video tutorial by an interior designer explaining the proper use of styles, lines, shapes, colors, and accents, and in-game dollars were earned by completing quizzes on the tutorial. Very few of the other players (who rate all of your submissions) have any clue what they’re designing or rating. I’ve seen amazing submissions with a low 3-star rating, and absolute garbage with 5-star ratings (at least 2 of the 9 on every room design… every day). Great concept for an app, just needs further development.

Needs some work. I really like this game, I've been playing since July and have been stuck on it ever since. But they make it WAY too hard on us as the designers to complete a design with how stingy and expensive they are with buying items to use them. They make certain items too expensive, and they also don't reward you enough when you complete and/or win a challenge. I run so short on diamonds and money all of the time. They pretty much want you to pay with your own money to gain more diamonds to play the challenges. The game is really fun but it's also a little stressful, you don't have enough money so you can't really enjoy playing. We already have these type of financial problems in real life as it is, Lol so why can't they make THIS game be where We can escape those problems and just have fun ?! I just wish they were more user friendly and they didn't make it difficult. I've referred this game to many of my friends and they stopped playing BECAUSE they didn't have anymore money to spend and they didn't want to spend their own money to play... it shouldn't be like that. There's a lot of other bugs also in the game they need to fix... sometimes I can't find furniture that I bought before, all of the sudden they disappear??? ... certain things like that.

Love it, but needs some tweaks. I love playing Design Home. However, they need to make a few changes. Once you have purchased an item, you should be able to use it as many times as you want. Everything is very expensive and it’s otherwise very difficult to build up enough money to buy things that you would actually want to design with. Also, you need to be able to purchase more art items. You have to get to such high levels and then just get a few very specific art pieces added to your collection. Designers have nearly unlimited access to choose art pieces and those are often the focal point of a room. When I have less than 20 things to choose from, it is very difficult to again design a room that you actually want. Also, they need to give more of a prize for getting a five star room. You get 500 diamonds just for signing in each day and you only get 125 forgetting a perfect five star room? Otherwise I do really enjoy this game. It’s amazingly well designed in terms of graphics. There seems to be a bit of a quirk in terms of choosing certain items and the program telling you they are too big for the area, when it is obvious they are not. If the developers make these changes, I think this would be85+ star game! Thank you.

Am I crazy. I love this app, its how I’ve spent a lot of my shut down time. I would also like to say I understand that apps are in the business of making money. What I don’t understand, and correct me if I’m wrong, but I cant help but notice the cost of required items often seem inflated for that particular design challenge. Am I crazy? Also, I understand it is a peer voting system, but I also can’t help but notice, that I get higher scores when I’ve used the latest bundle. I hate that I spend money on this game, especially since I use it as a distraction from real life shopping. I don’t understand the diamonds and the dollars, and why cash can substitute diamonds and not vice verse. And honestly, I imagine these brands (West Elm, Kathy Kuo, Arhaus) pay money to have their name and products in the game... So why should we pay at all? Or the game should be more budget based per round. Eliminate diamonds, all pieces of furniture are consistently priced, and say here’s your budget, design this room with the info we’ve given you about the client and not specific furniture pieces. Option to buy cash to increase budget, but I hate being made to feel I have to spend to complete a design or to get a better score. It hinders creativity which is the point of design. My favorite challenge, as a designer, is working within a limiting budget.

Love this game -just have a suggestion. This is one of my favorite games!! Because it’s realistic, I get my creative side out, and I enjoy the different challenges. I love how you can sort through furniture based on style, colors, and textures, etc. Makes it easier to find items that qualify for the challenges. One thing I do wish you guys could pleaseeeee pleaseeee do, is have an option where you can sort items by price. It would make things a lot easier for me. I admit I don’t make additional purchases for design home cash or diamonds. Because I’m on a budget in my personal life and feel silly buying stuff for a game. I dooo loveee the game though...so sometimes I only have a limited amount of $ or diamonds in the game...and need to find one more piece. And it’s annoying to have to look through every price of every piece when I’m searching for something to complete a room lol. Other than that it’s a great game! I love the voting and how our rooms get rated. I feel accomplished when I get 4 stars or more. So since I get so many 4 stars in my designs I shall give you 4 stars! Just try working on my suggestion. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants a sort by price option. Like cheapest to most expensive...you get my drift.

Stingy. The concept, layout, and functionality of the game are all great. I enjoy playing it and seeing what people do with the different spaces. However, unless you’re prepared to spend real money, this game isn’t really practical. Rewards for 4+ stars should be cash or diamonds ... instead of rewarding people with inventory items they don’t want or need. Don’t give me an ugly side table worth 2000 diamonds as a reward. Just reward me the 2000 diamonds and let ME choose what to buy with it. I don’t understand the 5 at a time thing. Lower the prices and let me buy items one at a time. Why make me buy 5 dining chairs when the design only calls for 4? I always end up with ONE left over and nowhere to use it. Why make me buy 5 rugs for $8000? Let me buy one nice rug for $1400. Or let me buy one cheap rug for $50. Make the shopping more realistic. I’ve never walked into a furniture store and was forced to purchase 5 identical items when I really only need one. Items like table decor and wall decor are WAY too expensive. And while I appreciate the once a day option to design a room without “requirements,” the top designs often don’t even come close to what the client asked for. This game is fun... but unless you spend real money, it’s not even possible to join some of the challenges... unless you hoard diamonds for a month first. Then maybe you can buy 1 or 2 nice things.

Game is enjoyable/Freebies and “Customer Support” — not so much.. The game itself is enjoyable enough (4.5 stars) but (my) low rating is due to their customer support. When/if you encounter any issues, contacting “customer support” is an exercise in futility. DH uses Fyber to monetize their diamonds/rewards — not such a good decision as I anticipate they will diminish the DH brand.... When purchasing and/or taking advantage of the “freebies” — if you follow up about reward allocation the burden is on the customer/player to authenticate so save and screenshot everything. Even that being the case — it wouldn’t be SO bad if Fyber customer service would read the information sent to them. It took me, 8 emailed screen shots over two weeks to get my allocation released. The kicker? ALL the information they needed was in the very first emailed screenshot. It’s frustrating when we are talking about REAL money versus monetized diamonds. Also, the emailed responses from DH and Fyber are, for the most part, automated with a sentence or two that actually addresses your issue (then they stop responding all together). I found in unprofessional and condescending. Now, back to the game — I love it! I buy less furniture, work with what I have and build cash by entering the daily high $$ challenges. Again, it’s fun enough but their follow up diminished my satisfaction.

Start slow in designing. I’m really enjoying this game, however I hate the fact that when you start off it gives you a lot of money and diamonds making you think that it will be a fun game to let that inner designer you have out. It doesn’t give you much of a realistic detailed heads up that money and diamonds after using the initial is hard. Almost makes it addicting enough to get you excited and wanting to use actual money to for in app purchases. It’s not like this app can’t afford to give us more on a daily or throughout wins. Especially since it’s basically advertisement for most if not all products you use to decorate/design your rooms. Another reason I’m knocking off one start is that I hate how I cannot refresh/reset my “game” back to the beginning. Had I known there would be little money and diamonds in the future I wouldn’t have purchased a bunch of decor trying to fill up not just required dots but also optional dots. Tried to fully deck out my first designs that for awhile now I have to use basic, boring, cheap stuff to meet the minimum requirements. I’ve tried deleting the game from my phone and resetting any necessary settings and somehow it’s still impossible to reset. If this could be fixed then I wouldn’t be so bothered with the first part of this review.

BEWARE OF FALSE CHARGES. To begin with, I must say that this was BY FAR my favorite app. It is completely addicting and it’s the only time I’ve happily spent money on a game. They regularly release fun bundles with fabulous decor items that are irresistible! (These can only be purchased with real money.) I made so many purchases that I stopped checking on my account. (Stupid on my part.) After logging into my account I was very upset to discover that there were nearly 20 charges for bundles I had never even heard of. (Every decor bundle is given a name, usually indicating the color scheme.) I was charged 6 times in August for bundles that weren’t even released until October! There was no way I could’ve purchased them because they weren’t even available! I did submit a report, but my refund was denied. This seems to be a scam where they are taking advantage of the fact that we’re all spending money and not keeping track. As for my review-if you like to decorate, you will love this. However, DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY. Login daily to get your reward and do the daily challenge to get paid. Build up your money and diamonds until you have enough to increase your inventory. You will be tempted by the bundles, but DO NOT purchase them! You may get charged for items you did not purchase.

So fun but a few things. I love this game so much I’ve been totally addicted and it is so much fun. But there is a few problems. First off I have a very specific style that I like and I don’t like it when they tell me I need to put a certain brand or a certain style in my rooms. It’s my design I should be able to choose! Plus everything is so expensive. I haven't played it in weeks cause I’m low on money and have no way to bring it up. The easiest way (and the whole point of the game) to win money is by decorating a room. Obviously no problem because I already have so many items in my inventory. But no! I can’t complete any levels because they are making me spend all my money on new items bu fancy brands when I have tons of items that I’ve already bought. So yeah now I can’t even play the game because I have 20 dollars and 0 gems. I know it’s my own personal problem for wasting all my money but I had to otherwise I “wouldn’t have met the requirements”. Plus I know I already said this but the requirements are stupid. I thought the point is design a room and be creative not do whatever you guys want us to do and have us (or me at least) not be happy with their design because we don’t get to choose on even one item for myself! Anyway it’s a fine game I guess but its not what I was hoping for at all. 😑
