Best money app. Love MoneyWiz, has been on my dock since version 2 came out. UPDATE: Scrolling isn’t very fluid but since 3.5 it has gotten a little better. Aside from that this is hands down one of my top 5 apps for the iPhone. Loved the addition of a standard payment as an alternative for those who don’t need online banking.

Forecasts are all wrong now. I love this app. I use it daily. It is great to budget for future expenses and the forecasts are fantastic. This is the only app I have been able to find that will provide me with forecasts. However, after the last update the forecasts are all wrong if my accounts are set to only show cleared accounts. If I have pending payments that I have moved from my scheduled payments to my account register, but they have not cleared; it seems that the forecast double counts them and shows accounts going negative. The workaround for now is to also show pending charges in my accounts.

Solid app, excellent support. Love the app (I also use the macOS desktop version). Love the ease of use and the features in the premium subscription service. Tried other other personal finance software, and MoneyWiz is by far the best. The sync between devices is seamless. I’d love to see some cosmetic changes (such as color-coding, improved icon library, and easier transaction splitting) but completely satisfied with the core software. MoneyWiz is not immune to occasional minor issues, but those have been cleared up by their dedicated support people. The most frequent cause of issues is out of MoneyWiz’s control: the online banking sync services Yodlee and Salt Edge. But MoneyWiz handles dealing with them, so as a MoneyWiz customer, I only have to talk to MoneyWiz.

Robust, but UI is a bit dated. No widgets. Former paid MoneyWiz user, came back to see how development has progressed. Was surprised to see they’ve switched to a subscription model, quite an expensive one too. Secondly, it’s still too slow to input transactions on-the-go via mobile phone. There hasn’t been enough attention to mobile user UX needs. Most of my daily purchases are split across categories, grocery store, online etc.. will have groceries + pets + clothing in one receipt.. Yet there’s still no way to turn that on as my default. Lack of widgets is painful - apple have introduced amazing widget functionality over the past 2 years, this app still has Zero widget ability. That’s just a daily productivity deal-killer for me. PROS: still one of the best FX handling apps. But it’s no longer the only one.. Pros: the reports are fabulous- great for detailed analysis.

Great product with outstanding customer service. I’ve been a MoneyWiz user for about 5 years and have always been impressed by the quality of the product, frequent feature additions, communication from the development team and customer service. Very often a response will come within an hour or two and unlike many other products, they are highly skilled and usually able to solve problems quickly.

Horribly Confusing. What happen to the best checkbook and business checkbook app I’ve ever used? The latest update is terrible, it’s hard to navigate with the overly large fonts and clunky way the registers are setup up are a nightmare to navigate. It literally took me two hours to balance my checkbook because I couldn’t figure out what I was even looking at. It’s almost impossible to navigate back and fourth to each of my accounts, the colors also don’t help and you can’t even tell what’s posted verse pending. Turn down the colors take it back to a checkbook register not a arcade game, and make the font not so big, and either make the category avatars smaller or go away, then you might have something. I don’t want to switch but I may have to. *update* While their customer service is phenomenal the app is still lacking but it’s getting there. After the initial shock of the massive change that left allot to be desired but it’s wearing on me, the only massive issue left that I find extremely annoying is when you clear a charge it drops you down to the clear section. It needs to stay up top with your pending charges, she. Your done you can scroll down, Fix that and things will be looking up. Keep up the good work guys.

I give MoneyWiz 👍🏼👍🏼. I’ve found the MoneyWiz App by far superior to their leading competitors. Quick-fast transaction navigation, easy pairing with other devices. If you experience an issue, tech support response are within minutes. Not 24 to 48 hours like some competitors. That said, I’m patiently waiting for your check printing edition.

Great app and support. For the most part I like the changes from MoneyWiz 2. However, in the checking register I don’t feel like each transaction put on a separate bubble with wasted space between on the iPhone. Was just fine in MoneyWiz 2 and took up less screen space. This is not an issue on iPad or Mac in 3. MoneyWiz 3 seems to fix some of my reports where the graphics just did not quite look right. They seem to fix this and now the plants look more reasonable. It’s as if some accounts weren’t being added in before. Also colors are ok eye candy but can be distracting. Icons should be made as small as possible, especially on the phone. That’s it. Best choice out there is so would buy again and their support is phenomenal.

A real timesaver. Keeps my checkbook balanced, shows pending and upcoming, future transactions for the following month so I can see where my balance will be in the next 30 days. Very convenient and helpful. Very minor issues crop up from time to time depending on how various connected accounts post transactions. They are not always done in a way that MoneyWiz can recognize and most often occur when MoneyWiz can’t recognize the Payee. These can be corrected manually in the app. Except for these occasional anomaly’s I would have given the app 5 stars. Oh, yes; very helpful support staff.

Didn’t even try to use. I am trying to switch to iPad pro as main computer and abandon definitely mac book. Financial app is the most difficult to find and this could have been a possibility but.... (correct me if I am wrong), there is no way to back up data unless subscribing to them and be charged 60$ a year even if I don’t need synchronize between mac and ipad and or connect to banks. Yes app is free but they should have charge a price for the app and and make it usable if you don’t use other features. In this way I have a free app but should I loose or break tablet I can loose important data.

Export .qif. Update 2: An exported CSV file is not a specific financial file type, but rather just a plain text spreadsheet file that can contain anything. That makes importing a CSV file more complicated and error prone. Importing a CSV file can only be done one account at a time and it is required that the account is already setup in the program prior to being able to import transactions. Also, split transactions cannot be imported from a CSV file. Update 1: As you said on April 13, 2015 “Re: QIF Export from MoneyWiz 2 Indeed this is something we are considering to add in the future updates of MoneyWiz 2 :) Can't tell you when exactly it will be ready as currently we are focused on fixing bugs, and improving stability and performance.” Original: I'm sorry. I will not use this product until you implement export to a .qif file. You promised it, and you haven't delivered.

One of a Kind. I have been a MoneyWiz user since 2012. I recently upgraded from MoneyWiz 2 to MoneyWiz 3. Amazing! This app is fully featured across all platforms (i.e. does not require the use of a computer) with features to delight the basic to most advanced users. It is also backed by a fantastic support team. If you are looking for a powerful way to take control of your finances, look no further!

Trust earned from day 1.. Being a user since they first launched years ago, I can say nothing but top notch dedicated developers that deeply cares about their customers. Whenever I had an bug or issue, a simple email gets speedy and personal responses. Them still working hard at it throughout its ups and downs for this long shows how they’re passionately in the game for the long haul. The app has all the features one would ever want for a budgeting app that caters to every nuanced preferences of every user, and the list is definitely long. Syncing is robust, and user interface is clean and easy to understand. They care so much for customers that they even offer both standard 1-time purchase as well as monthly subscription options.

Love, love, love this app. I have been trying to track my expenses for years. Between my husband and I, we have at least 300 transactions a month. Each time I open the app, it automatically downloads all our activity since the last time I used it. I created some new categories, deleted some preloaded categories, and was ready to roll. The app is intuitive, the icons are pretty, and support got right back to me when I had questions on how to more efficiently use the app. I finally feel in control of my finances. Note - I did upgrade to premium. Very happy with this app and it’s actually fun to work with.

Excellent and comprehensive!. I came from using Accounts for years, and due to some limitations I researched an alternative. So glad I came across this app/platform. I just bought the desktop version as well. The functionality, cross-device syncing, all amazing!! Keep the updates and features coming. I look forward to being a customer for many years to come!!

Don’t freak out about update!!. I updated to this newest version and wasn’t super thrilled about it, BUT, it’s mainly for the users with premium version! If you don’t like it they will return you to Money Wiz 2 standard, with no problem! I contacted them and they immediately switched it back and explained they will be releasing a MoneyWiz 2 Standard later this fall, which I will definitely look at!! Thank you again for the awesome customer service, this is by far the BEST financial app for tracking checking on the App Store!!!!

Best Checkbook/ Money type app period. I am a long time MoneyWiz customer based on past experience... I upgraded to MoneyWiz 2 and most recently MoneyWiz 3. I don’t need the fancy online banking pull down stuff, I have no problem entering in my spending and then reconciling that with bank account websites etc... I actually prefer it as it helps me keep track of things I spend or potential fraud. So I have the stand alone version of the app. It’s great. The new layout is a slight adjustment but overall it is growing on me as I feel it is allowing more to be on the screen without feeling cluttered. I recently asked about a nagging issue I found with the keypad in MoneyWiz and by recently I mean less than a week before this release I am rating right now. It is fixed. I think the #1 reason you should get this app over others is the team of people making this app as good as it is. They care, they do good work, and deserve affirmation of that good work. Great Job all!

Works perfectly for my needs. I used a different app for a few years. It was easy and it allowed me and my wife to sync transactions. For us, syncing transactions is mandatory. My wife, a finance executive, has explicit requirements for money tracking software. I almost started writing our own app to meet her needs when she found MoneyWiz. Good: - Syncing transactions works great. - I like that it recognizes the amount field and shows a number pad. - When you enter the payee the keyboard enter key becomes ‘next’, another excellent feature when I noticed. OK: - The interface is not quite what I expect on an Apple device, but it is functional. Recommendations: - Move the ok/checkbox to a lower corner rather than upper right. - When in the payee field, keep the next button above the keyboard like when entering the amount OR - When in the Amount field place a next button below backspace. - When you press next to the category, use autocomplete rather than immediately going to the list view. If I want the full list, I will press the > otherwise I like to see the transaction to decide where it should go.

Support lacking. I’ve been enjoying Moneywiz’s manual function for a couple of years. I tried the paid subscription for the first time and experienced daily errors with updating my accounts. I love the manual version of the app but I’m rating it 2 stars because, when presented with the problem, Moneywiz/Yodlee support ignored my issues and tried to close my support ticket without addressing my problems. It’s a shame because the app is great, but I won’t continue to pay for the subscription after this customer service experience - especially since my accounts are still not updating.

New rating. So, before I gave this app an okay review but now I wanted to give this app a million stars. If I didn't have this app, I would be completely broke and probably homeless because I'm awful at budgeting. They just updated their app and it's by far the best app I have ever used. I have used other apps before but nothing compares. BTW, just in case your wondering, yes, it is definitely worth it to go premium

Good app for tracking finances. ***This is an edited version of my original review where I asked for a way to enable a simplified transaction layout. It turns out there is an option to enable a simplified layout in Settings > Transaction Layout.*** My wife and I have used MoneyWiz for quite some time. Syncing works well and allows us to easily keep tabs of joint accounts on multiple devices. Syncing does require a subscription, but the cost is very reasonable given the the rock solid reliability. The interface on the new version has seen some welcome improvements and improves readability and usability. This is a well executed and reliable app for tracking finances. Highly recommended.

Thank you for returning the calendar!. We were devastated when the update took the calendar view away. We were ready to move on from MoneyWiz as this was the main reason for using this app. Thank you for bringing it back so quick!! We love the new update too! The look and feel of the app is so smooth and streamlined. The modern look is amazing and I actually like to just tinker around in the app because it looks so good now! It took a minute for me to get used to, but I love it now! I feel it syncs much faster too! Thank you for always giving us an amazing app and listening to your users! That is a sign of a great business!!

Great. I’ve tried several finance apps and this is by far the best. Some of those apps had a few good things each about them but this app has it all. The layout is fantastic, easy to use, customizable categories, budgets, accounts. It can be easy and basic or it can be super in depth and customized. Online bank syncing works way better than all the others. Really prompt costumer service. This sounds like an ad but I’m just very impressed with it.

Excellent App for Documenting you Expenses. Tried numerous apps before I found MoneyWiz. I wanted an app where a can record my checking, savings, credit card and other accounts along with scheduling up coming bills and payments so I always know where I stand. You can create different categories and split transactions to show what was spent on multiple categories like groceries, clothing and sales tax. The app has great reporting capabilities and you can creat your own. I created one I call cash flow that can show me months out what my balance in my checking account will be. I have not figured out the budgeting function yet. But I really don’t have a need at this time. Highly recommend you go the premium route after you try it out for a while.

Great way to keep track of your $$$$$.. I’ve been a subscriber for a number of years and I won’t try anything else. The latest update looks completely different from previous versions so it took me a minute to get my bearings but now that I’ve been using it for a few months it’s very familiar. I love the new look. Also, whenever I have a question, the one-to-one support is the best of any app I’ve ever used. They get back to me in 24 hours and don’t stop the help until my question is answered. I’m a customer forever.

Disgraceful!. I bought the first version of Moneywiz for the phone and then I bought one for the MacBook. When the second version came out, I wanted to buy one for my iPad put they pulled the first version of moneywiz for the the iPad forcing me to buy the second version for the iPhone and the iPad making the first version obsolete. Although the design and functionality of the app was fine, those greedy money haulers forced the AD SPAN in an update even though I paid for all of my apps and have not requested for adds. Another annoying thing is that they put it on the bottom of the screen instead of the top making you more likely to click on it. They even admit that they did it to get the money from the ads. Developers are VERY Unethical (I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!)

Double Trouble. A useful app if it had some way of identifying and managing expenses recorded for same amount same day same payee on two unrelated accounts. Maybe it does but two messages since April 2018 about this to their team have still to be answered. At least we cannot find an answer. Now im thinking of dumping Money Wiz and finding a bookkeeping app which we can trust. Sad— so many finance apps are overwhelmingly loaded with the fancy finance stuff. NotMoney Wiz. And loads of standard reports, but no way to check for double entries. And apparently not very keen on customer service: at very least. replies should be easily recognizable as from Money Wiz so that email searches will find them. Until thisr faults are fixed, it is unreliable. Or until someone corrects my perceptions which admittedly could be incorrect.

Fantastic app/fantastic support. I’ve been using MoneyWiz for years to keep track of expenses for tax purposes. Love it. With new iOS upgrade some down load features didn’t work. The support team worked me through a work around and within a short time had added the feature I was missing. I highly recommend this product.

Great Banking app for computer and on the go. I love this app. It’s great app for managing your money at home on the computer and on the go. I love that all features are available on the mobile app unlike other banking apps I’ve tried. Also love the new layout not hard to catch on to the changes. Keep up the good work. Great tech support too!!

Great App...could use a few improvements. This is really a great app and worth the annual fee, really good details and reports. I love it. The biggest improvement I wish they could fix is the automatic categorizing for repeat transactions. For instance, WalMart, my app, after more than a year of use should be able to know that WalMart transactions is not in the category of debt payment, or taxes, or electric bill. My internet company, RTC, should know that this is a internet bill by now, not grocery or eating out. If these could be learned, and automatically categorize into the most recently used category this app would be 💯

Not functional. My checking and savings acct still don’t sync after 6 months. Money wiz blames sync bit but if you sell the program you are responsible for troubleshooting also!! The balancing portion of the program doesn’t make any sense! You shouldn’t be able to go back to prior months once they are reconciled. I’ve never seen any program like this(not in a good way)! Income is an issue for me also.....if I go shopping spend $20 and return $10 then the expense for shopping should decrease by $10-I should not have income for $10 ugh. For someone without accounting experience it may be fine but I won’t be renewing.

Happy! Concerned, then thank full !!!. I used a reliable but far less advanced finance App. After reviewing and trying this App for about a month now, I have to say I’m impressed hand happy with the performance, reliability and extremely useful reports, budgeting and bill tracking. I would love to see a “project” category. This App crashed and “I lost all my data”, but I’m very thankful to the App team developers who helped me recover all my data in just 2 days. The desktop app is just like the one on my iPhone, so the learning curve is easier, simple and the App is still impressing me.

Great finance system. I’ve been a Quicken/Mac user since the 1980’s. For the most part, the Mac desktop version is adequate. However, the mobile apps have very limited functionality, and the Quicken/Mac budgeting is terrible. These are two of many areas where MoneyWiz 3 excels. Almost everything you can do in the macOS version, you can do in the iOS versions. And the budgeting process (both macOS and iOS) isn’t just a monitoring tool, it is an excellent planning tool. I am still running in parallel, and there are things that work differently between the 2 apps, but MW3 is intuitive, well designed, stable and attractive. If I am away and I only have my iPhone or iPad with me, a can do anything I need to do on them. In fact, my iPad has become my preferred system to update and review my finances.

Long Time User - Poor sync support. I have been using MoneyWiz for three years now. During that time there have been issues and I have worked though them, because there are not many options since Quicken cant get it right. But this last round of problems have been the ultimate frustration. I have had account sync issues and have have been working with support for more than two months now to resolve the issues. I know they would say it’s out of their control because they use a third party for the syncing, but having no live support is not means you cant count on this software to maintain your day do day account balances, unless you can go days - weeks - months, not having some accounts syncing. MoneyWiz is not based in the US, and don’t keep US based hours for support, so every issues takes many hours to receive a response. I think its time to move on.

Still a Great App. Been with MoneyWiz since version 1, and still enjoying it greatly. The new version took a bit of adjustment, but I’ve grown accustomed to it. A couple of quirks that make this more of a 4.5 for me (I rounded up): I agree with a few other people on the sorting - when moving something out of pending, I want my view to stay up top with the other pending items, since I’m usually balancing those when I mark something as cleared. Even if I could just turn off the sorting option when clearing I would be content. I also spent a few days entering all my new transactions as recurring without realizing it. I now check each time to make sure I’m in the right screen. The + sign in the upper right of the iPhone accounts screen would work better as a new transaction button. One suggestion: if this could automatically populate Apple Pay receipts when I hit new transaction, that would be spectacular (and I would start using Apple Pay constantly rather than just sometimes).

My most loved app. Of all my apps, this one provides the best of the functionality that I need. I had been a Quicken user for many years. Now I hardly ever start up my laptop. This does everything I needed from Quicken. I’ve also been very happy with their support team. I’ve gotten the answers I needed in a very timely manner.

Best financial tracking app I’ve ever used. For years I looked for a replacement for Quicken and QuickBooks because (1) I didn’t trust Intuit with my data, (2) I was looking for an app that supported peer to peer syncing between my devices so that I could always rely on having all my account information with me and the ability to enter new transactions anytime, and (3) I wanted something that could track my US and UK accounts equally as well (plus travel to Sweden, France and Spain too so lots of foreign translations) with currency conversion built in. I found this and more. The app is incredibly polished and easy to use. It’s literally my favorite app! The team at MoneyWiz are incredibly responsive answering all my questions so far within a couple hours.

Long time user.. I’ve used this app for years and absolutely love it. But having updated to MoneyWiz 3 because the new iOS update didn’t play nice with MoneyWiz 2, I feel like the developers are really reaching here. I under understand your employees have to eat but forcing a paid subscription just in order to switch to dark theme or to change the icon is a bit ridiculous. And not to mention Syncbits no longer works on the free version. I’m for real just want to say to heck with it and find another app. I just don’t use the other features like syncing with my bank to justify the price. I know my business and input really doesn’t matter compared to the many who do pay the price but I just needed to vent a little.

Outstanding support. Long time user of MoneyWiz 2 and 3. As of late the application keeps crashing when I switch away from MoneyWiz 3 to another app, and then back to MoneyWiz 3 while entering transactions. Sent crash logs to support along with a video, reinstalled the app but to no avail. After weeks of communications back and forth, I believe the issue has been resolved. A quick reset of Syncbits by support and a software update, which may or may not be related to the issue, and we’re back in business.

A lot of sync issues. I’ve been a happy MoneyWiz customer since i think 2015, but since moving over to version 3 I’ve had nothing but problems with my account reliably syncing between my devices. I would say at least once a month my iPad and Mac just stop syncing with my phone and it either takes a lot of trial and error on my part or an eventual support email where they have to reset my syncbits account. I’m very hesitant to move because I have to much historical data here that will likely be hard to properly import into a new system, but I’m about at the breaking point. If it were free that would be one thing, but I feel like I’m paying $50/yr for mediocrity.

One of the best apps. I have had money wiz for years. Have tried other apps to keep track of my money. Being an accountant this is the best app that I have used. Plus the support people will get back to you in the same day. I have not seen that much with other apps. If keeping track of your money, checking balance and budget this is the app you must have.

It Just Works. I use MoneyWiz on an iPad to keep track of all of my checking and credit card expenses, my future and recurring bills, and to project balances for future months using ledger and plotting. It does these things very well. The user interface is clean and easy to use. Entering and retrieving data are quick, easy and flexible. MoneyWiz offers good, prompt customer support.

Recent and previous user. I was a long time Quicken user and recently came back to Money Wiz since the recent update. I had left Money Wiz because of Quicken’s easy to see forecast feature. Money Wiz has stepped up to plate and made me a convert again. I love the option to save locally, and look forward to the mobile version looking more like the Mac platform. The balance forecast being visible in transactions with one touch is what I needed to get me back. I can also get transaction updates right from my credit union, which did not work for me previously. I have had some questions about how to solve minor issues and contacted support, and have gotten help promptly. I love it! I am still learning functions and how to get it to work the best way for me. I have not tried much with reports, but after I use it for a little longer, from what I remember from being a previous user, the reports I can run are full of information that can be very useful. I am only using the program to keep on top of bills at present and my balances. Anyway, I am back! Thank you Money Wiz!

Still the best personal finance app...but. I am not crazy about the new mobile app layout but I still love it on my PC. Since I use my PC to balance my accounts I can live with the new layout. This is the best app I have found for keeping track of all my finances in one place. MoneyWiz is very easy to use. I can even quickly enter a transaction on my Apple Watch to keep my accounts up to date. I love that I can schedule my bills to auto pay for the ones that are paid through automatic withdrawal. I also love that all my devices sync so my husband can check our finances at any time. There isn’t a better support team! They always respond in a timely manner and work hard to resolve any issues.

Works great!!. Had a little trouble adding one account, but figured it out fairly easily. Wanted to ditch Quicken and go completely mobile on iPad/iPhone. Tried Mint first and hated it! This app works great once you play with it and learn how it does things. The latest update made it even better and more user friendly!!

Well.... UPDATE: They did respond to my emails and were great helping me! Thank you! I liked using this app! It was great until I decided to purchase the month to month subscription. Soon after I did the system logged me off and I couldn’t log back in. I kept getting “invalid credentials” and when I tried to reset the password I got “you entered the wrong information.” Mind you all the information was correct! I tried contacting the developers and no answer. I’d really like my $4.99 back. I realized that using it without a subscription was better.

Problems with $50-Subscription. I upgraded to Money Wiz 3 Premium a few days ago, and the system keeps having trouble recognizing my subscription. It worked initially, then stopped working. Support emailed me instructions that must be outdated because the steps do not play out the way the instructions indicate. Deleting the app and then re-downloading it and signing in again made it started working again. However, the next day, it stopped recognizing my subscription (my $50-subscription) again. So, again, I had to delete and then re-download the app and sign in again to make it start working. Support said that a future updated subscription service would solve the issues, but I paid $50 for a subscription that was sold as already working, not “will work in the future.” I want this fixed. I shouldn’t have to keep deleting and re-downloading the app. There must a solution, and it should have already been provided to me the first time.

Disappointed. I purchased MoneyWiz and have been using it since 2014. With the release of iOS 14 my MoneyWiz 2 started crashing after every transaction. So I updated to MoneyWiz 3. To my surprise they now want to charge me a subscription to back up to synbits? No thank you! I’ll look for something else before I pay a monthly fee. People that have been using you all these years should be grandfathered but as usual no loyalty to customers. You’re software got popular from us long time users via recommendations.

Minor Learning Curves With Update But Exceptional Customer Service. I actually preferred their old version, but appreciate the addition of SyncBits. I’ve had a few minor issues during my learning curve, but the folks at MoneyWiz promptly responded to my assistance requests, and led me through the issue. They have by far the best customer service of any app I have. I was using the Mac OS version last night and it was fantastic compared to the iPhone version. I especially liked that in the Mac version, under Scheduled and Calendar, if I touched a day with a transaction, those transactions appeared. That ability is absent in the iPhone version and results in time being wasted tracking down those transactions. Great app, and I enjoy using it.

Love!. I was a longtime PocketMoney user but after latest update rendered it useless to me I came to MoneyWiz after trying many others. Even though I do everything manually, I prefer MW3 over MW2 because of the cleaner interface & expanded options. And even tho I was so very sad to leave PM, I must say that I absolutely LOVE the automatic syncing between devices so that I always know my balances. Another feature that is very handy is the un/cleared red/green dot so that if you want to periodically compare your manual entries against the bank’s between monthly reconciliations to make sure you didn’t miss something, you simply tap the red dot to “check off” the entry & it turns to green so that you know you match the bank (or whatever you’re checking against). The only thing I truly miss from PM is the ability to do a monthly reconciliation using the beginning/ending balances from my bank statements. Love the syncing- saves so much time. I have been using MoneyWiz for a couple of years and upgraded to Premium recently. So happy with the support on changing over. Means I can ditch Windows and do everything on Apple.

Pending???. This clueless app can’t reconcile the transactions it deems to be “”pending”” even though they aren’t pending. Now it thinks I have hundreds of dollars more than I do 👍🏽👍🏽

Suits digital nomad lifestyle to a T. After using a Reckon software for 4 years and being frustrated by its inflexible features, I had almost given up on someone solving my personal finance tracking needs. I am on the road full time and use multiple currencies, multiple back accounts and want to carefully track my daily, weekly, monthly budgets. The tool allows that with relative ease. The customer service when I have a problem or don't know how to correctly use a feature I'd second to none.

Solid performance, missing feature. Solid piece of software with only an occasional nasty bug. Connects directly to your bank account, which is a little scary but very convenient. I am assured by the software developers that this is secure, and I am happy to pay for this feature with cash rather than my privacy. Well done MoneyWiz. Automatic classification of transactions is a hit and miss, mostly miss. Learning feature seems to be entirely based on name matching so if you buy bread from Woolworths and classify it as groceries, next time you buy petrol from Woolworths it will be classified as groceries. Hunting down misclassified transactions is very time consuming, so it was faster to turn that feature off altogether and just classify manually. The software is not capable of detecting transfers between two accounts, even in the same name and at the same back. It will be entered twice, once as withdrawal from one account, and once as a deposit in another. This will mess up your total income and spending sums. You can once again manually hunt down these transactions and change them to transfer, but then you have to also find the matching transaction on other end and delete it or you will have a double deposit or withdrawal. Also very time consuming. All in all, while there is plenty of room for improvement, it saves more time than it consumes, and subscription is reasonably priced, especially as it favours privacy over analytics. A solid 3 stars - works as expected with some annoyances.

Very Hard to Use. MoneyWiz 2 was efficient & useful. But we were forced to “upgrade” to version 3 which not only costs more money but is extremely hard to use & very confusing. It’s sad that an app that worked so well had to be changed for changes sake. After many of years with MoneyWiz we’re now seeking an alternative.

Streamlined our personal finance accounting. The combination of bank feed, auto categorisation (even if it only works about half time) and cloud-based sync to all our iOS devices has dramatically reduced the amount of time and improved convenience over our previous Quicken solution. Some of the accounting concepts are unusual (I will never understand why I can't just use a negative sign to reverse an income or expense amount), but I can get the information that I need easily.

The best!. I have tried, to varying degrees, over a dozen different ‘personal finances’ apps, and this is clearly one of the best and probably the best value for money IMO. It has enormous flexibility around how you use it, so people with different approaches and objectives should all be able to get what they need from it. It’s also one of the most ‘professional’ looking apps, rather than one relying on lots of big blocks of colour (which certainly works for some people, but not what I was after).

Records not saved. Happened to me twice now where my data seemed to have reverted back to a previous date and now all the records i put were gona

Keeps My Finances in Check. I love this app and have been using it for years. It has made me understand exactly where all my money is going, and keeps a good record for my tax agent to claim the most I can. Keep up the good work.

Just what I've needed. This app is seriously what I've needed for so long. I use it across watch, phone and Mac, and it has taken the stress out of keeping on top of my finances! I used the online accounts to pull in my transaction history (plus an OFX file for more history) - so easy. Categorising transactions is simple to do, and reconciling is a breeze as well. I've now loaded in expenses I know are coming up, set budgets to help track spending, and for the first time really feel like I have a good handle on where it all goes! If you're looking for an app environment to help you get on top of your finances and stay there, this is it.

Great App. Have been using g this for 6months after using YNAB for 10years. It works great, although importing my old ynab data didn’t work as well as planned, now it’s set up though it’s awesome. Well done.

Great App, it just works. Been using MoneyWiz for more than 3 years. It just works for me. Support (rarely needed) is prompt and of high quality.

Disappointed. Have been using MoneyWiz 2 for last few years and was very happy with it , so decided to upgrade to MoneyWiz 3. Bought both the versions on iOS and MacOS ( they aren’t cheap btw ), so far the interface is cumbersome , syncing only works if it has to. Whenever I transfer the funds into different accounts or receive any payments , it always goes to “ pending “ and I always have to manually “ clear “ them. I agree the aesthetic of this version is far superior than its predecessor , however not the functionality. I wish I could go back to previous version and get my money back.

Net Worth Forecast is not working correctly. This is an excellent App. I have found a bug though. When I run a Net Worth projecto report it only picks up some transactions. Misses lots

Excellent app, amazing support. I have been using MoneyWiz3 for 6 months - moving from the Australian version of Quicken. Excellent functionality across 3 apple devices, including online connection to transaction accounts. Smart categorization ( it learns). Still lots of functionality to explore. I have used their support twice and amazing response. Acknowledge the issue, advice on what infor they need, and the issue is turned around promptly. Which make me think they are serious and will continue to develop and support the product.

Great when it works, but too many sync issues. I’ve been using this app for a while and for the most part it’s been excellent. However, the one area is seems to continually fall over in is sync. I’ve had to wipe and re-sync individual devices dozens of times, and most recently something has caused a few of my accounts’ balances to go out, but since I’ve got years of data in there I really don’t have the time to go through and work out what’s wrong this time. Buyer beware.

The Best Money Managing App!. I am using this app for a long time and it makes a difference! I am better with my money, can save more and getting out of debt. All because of this app.

Update with the new UI not intuitive. Having used MoneyWiz since it’s 1.0 days, I’ve been really happy with the MacApp and find it extremely intuitive. When switching from Mac to iOS the user interactions and flows aren’t the same. Understanding that it’s a different device and different interactions but for anyone switching between the two it’s easy. Interface is clean and sleek but doesn’t reflect the Mac app, I’m struggling to do the basics with it. The iPad version is a little better.

Subscription required for everything. I am deeply disappointed to discover that A subscription is required even to do a manual entries. I understand a subscription for online banking downloads however why would you charge a subscription for manual entries after having us pay for the app. Unfortunately I did not discover this until I have a loaded all my data and started going through the options and then discovered that for unlimited manual entries a subscription was required. You should state this upfront.

Be warned 1 week free trial. No where on this app page does it say one week free trial. So after you download & signup & input all your information and set things up. A week later you be hit with a subscription sign up. Information like that should always be at the l in view for consumer before they download and try your application. Doing other wise is anti consumer friendly. & poor business practices. I could understand a one time purchase but a subscription policy ? No this app is a pass

Good but bad. I love the app, but i have been working with tech support to solve a connection issue with my one bank. The folks at MoneyWiz have been great but they need to reevaluate who they work with as third parties.

Exactly as described. Makes it very easy to track your expenses and incomes. I recommend the subscription option. The ability to pull statements online and sync all your accounts across all your devices it outstanding.

A worthwhile financial app. I’ve been a MoneyWiz 2 user for a couple of years. For the most part I’ve been quite happy. I upgraded to version 3 to support continued development. I was a bit concerned about moving all of my data via syncbits but all went smoothly. Version 3 is more capable but the basic features are all I need. It’s a good app and the support is stellar.

Great but could used a few tweaks.. The biggest gripe I have is that the budgets won’t accept minus amounts. I’d like to be able to have it track expenses AND income in the budget area but it can’t. Hopefully they’ll add this feature in the future and I’ll up my rating to 5 stars. Everything else works wonderfully.

Very powerful. I simply love this product! As easy to use as MS Money, with the power of connecting and to all your Apple devices so your are always in sync with your finances. A must for anyone who wants to understand money and plan for the future.

Must Have App. I have been using the standard app for many many years and always very satisfied, it fills my needs. Any time there was the smallest problem, communication with staff was always easy and a solution found every times. Team deserving the 5 star rating.

Time Saver. I’ve been using MoneyWiz for a few years now. 1. Syncs with our banks & credit cards. 2. Syncs with both of our phones so each of us knows what our balance is. 3. Syncs with the iPad, Laptop, iMac as well, so regardless of device being used, you can look up information. 4. Updates our stock prices. Weaknesses: 1. Mortgage “module” isn’t flexible enough, so I’m unable to use it for any of our properties. 2. My credit card company recently stopped allowing the intermediary, SaltEdge, to sync information, so now I have to manually enter that information. I find the support Team to be excellent and responsive. They are continuing to make the product better.

Sync Errors and incorrect balances. The idea behind this app is great the it’s not functioning properly as proposed. I seems to get balances of my bank records not matching the records of my Online Banking. It will be nice if the sync can refresh and automatically remove duplicate from the bank transaction recordI. I have been in touch with technical support but no reasonable solution has been proffer.

Great financial app. Love this app especially with the latest update. Excellent customer service support. Developers work hard to get this app better. A few places that it could improve but all in all, it’s a great financial app.

Just what I was looking for!!. My wife and I have used Mint for years but it was never the right fit. Mint can’t do multiple currencies which is an essential for us since we have a Canadian bank account and a US account. And, to be honest, I’ve always hated the UI of Mint. It’s drab and jumbled to me. MoneyWiz is just what I was looking for! Beautiful UI, easy to understand, and all the tools that I need right at my fingertips. The UI is customizable so that you can set it up to what suits your needs. I’ve had a few questions while getting used to the app and customer service has been great every time. Long and short of this review is that if you’ve had trouble with other financial/ budgeting apps you should give MoneyWiz a try. I find it more usable than some of the most popular financial apps out there. The developers should be very proud!

Not worth it. Mint is a better app, plus it's all free!

Terrible with unresolved issues over 15 months. The main purpose of this app is around the automatic connection to the bank accounts. Random transactions across accounts don't download, throwing the entire balances and financial planning plus budgeting off! Painful to say the least. Inspite of many back & forth the issues just dont get resolved by the tech support. Waste of $84 annually.

The Best financial program. I’ve tried them all this one is intuitive and I love the calendar feature, all bills shown in real time. If you’re looking to manage all your accounts, then MoneyWiz is for you.

Don’t upgrade to version 3 if you have 2. The upgrade requires an annual or monthly subscription in order to sync across devices. There was no such fee in version 2. I downloaded version 3 to try it out and it crashed 4 times while I was trying to set it up. Customer support, however, was very responsive and they get 5 stars!!

Works Great + Syncs with Mac App. Only thing keeping me from 5 stars is an outdated UI. Make this app look better and you’ll get 5 stars from me. EDIT: done; 2020 version is beautiful! Would not have known about it if developer hadn’t responded to my previous review.

Frustrated. I consistently balance my checking account in this app 2 times a month and have been using the app for several years. I just logged on to update transactions and pay bills and noticed that my account balances were unusually inflated. I made a balance adjustment to correct it (since I couldn’t locate the problem. Was timed out and logged back in and my balances are messed up again. I need an app I can count on to be accurate. Frustrated that I can’t count on this one.

Great Digital Checkbook. I’ve been an avid user of MoneyWiz since day 1 when Microsoft Money went away and I needed a new tool to track my spending and keep my checkbook. MoneyWiz has never failed me with great reporting, charts and backup. Show me a better tool, I dare ya!

Amazing company and app!. I will be honest, it took a lot to peel me away from pocketmoney back in the day. But not only has this company evolved and created an amazing app! They are always on top of the updates for iOS releases, and any bug fixes. Very impressed and glad I switched! Great work.

Happy made switch. I switched from Quicken16 in order to share registrars across multiple devices and have them sync. The install was easy and the account upload was easy. It’s been nice to have almost no interruption and a program that is intuitive.

Easy and comprehensive, but proprietary sync. I wanted a finance app that I could do fully manually, so the bank connect subscription doesn’t bother me as I wouldn’t use it. But to have to use a proprietary sync service - and subscribe to access it - is unacceptable. I want control over my information on multiple devices, full stop. Unfortunately, that means I won’t be using MoneyWiz.

I’ve paid for this app 4 times. I’m not kidding, I still have the receipts.I feel like every time they roll out a new version they basically ask you to pay for it. Now there’s a monthly charge of 4.99. But if history is any indication the rule out a new version, remove the old or render it useless and it will be 9.99 in a year. Pick a monetary rate and stick with it. It’s a good app I use it as a checkbook.

Budgets now clearer (again). Thank you for bringing back the budget indicator showing spent vs time left ratio. Regarding colors of budget lines, from a user perspective I think it would make more sense if green = before the indicator; yellow = beyond the indicator; red = budget exceeded.

Receipt Sync Not Working. When I updated to MW3 receipt sync with Dropbox stopped working correctly. I reported the issue, and at first support was responsive. When they could not correct the issue quickly contact ceased. An email sent by me requesting an update did not receive a response. I like MW but if there is a support issue they may not be helpful. I am sticking with it hoping future releases will resolve the issue.

Best ever!. I have used MoneyWiz for years. I love the app but, most importantly, the developer went overboard to help me when “I” screwed up “my” accounts and I thought I had lost them. He came to my rescue and saved my bacon! The app is fantastic, the service is even better!

Like the features. I like the design, but upgrading from MoneyWiz 2 has been glitchy and tho support has got everything but my existing budgets going (i can recreate them i guess) i am wishjj in v I’d just stuck with 2. So great program but not sure it was worth the upgrade compared to the headaches.

Hope MoneyWiz can connect to Alipay and more banks in China. I am learning how to use it. One suggestion is that you should add more Chinese banks and the Alipay which is widely used in China to MoneyWiz.

Crash on iPhone XR with iOS 12.1. Reinstalling the app helps. Original post I am a premium user. The new version of MoneyWiz crashes every time when I open it. I already tried to reboot my device several times. Could you please do some basic testing before releasing a new version?

Great. This app is my go to. I use it to keep up with ever dollar spent. I’ve been using it for years and now would feel lost without. With a quick look and you know how much, where and why.

Great app for many. Prompt customer service. This is very user friendly. Great interface and features. The response from Customer Service was much faster than expected; it was professional and clear. Only 3 stars because the banks I used were listed, but the balances did not pull in accurately. That could just be my banks, but I don’t want to manually adjust these each time I use the app.

Cheaters. It cost money to create an account $10. you think it’s done. Then to start to enter your accounts, it cost another $50 a year In order to download from the bank otherwise you have to enter it manually. You pay the $10 first and after your done paying surprise more money to download. If I know I wouldn’t have started the account to begin with. Now I lost money for nothing

MoneyWiz is great. Tremendous app support from developers. Very speedy response time and very helpful. I just upgraded to MW3 and they helped me to resync my data. I use this app daily to keep track of expenses and to help balance several different accounts. Love it.

Custom icons!!. We want custom icons for categories and accounts. We hope we have access to choose whatever icons we like, not the build-in ugly, slow-loaded icons. Can't accept the current icon mode.

Unbeatable support. I’ve used MoneyWiz since the very first version. It has always been a solid program that did what it was supposed to do. What really sets this ap apart is the great support when you have a problem.

Very Good Suport. After upgrading my devices to Ios 13 which crashed many of my apps, the support team at Moneywiz helped me recover my data. I am happily using MoneyWiz 3 now. Apple caused the problem, but Moneywiz cane up with the solution. Thanks to Pawel.

New Update. I updated my MacBook today. Forecast reports are now completely wrong on my Mac. Now my iPhone is wrong also. PLEASE fix!

Update is not an upgrade!. Why in the world would you decide to separate out the uncleared transactions from the running total balance???? I no longer have an accurate daily balance for my accounts. The transaction icons are too big they take more space than needed. The number one reason I chose this app over others was the daily running balance. I could see the daily balance with or without them cleared. Also why would you decide to do this just before the year end when reports will need to be pulled for tax time! I am disappointed with these changes. Will you be fixing the running balance?

Great Customer Service. I love Moneywiz. The only thing keeping it from getting five stars is the issue with auto update still not working. When I perform a bank sync it has to be manually refreshed each time.

Great app for checkbook/finances but needs “undo”. Been using this app for years and love it. The new update takes some getting used to but isn’t bad. Love the addition of the calculator. Please please please add an “undo” option. There are time where something accidentally gets deleted and there’s no way to undo.

Update. The new update appearance makes the app very user friendly. I just open the app today and for a spit second I thought I open the app to my bank with the new updated appearance. It took me totally off guard, I absolutely love it!!!! Keep up the modernized updates!!!!

Forecasting is AWESOME. Ever since Microsoft Money was discontinued I’ve struggled to find something with effective forecasting. I’ve used just about every financial tracking app out there and this, by far, is the best!!!

They have taken down moneywiz2!!! No warning whatsoever!!!. I have been using moneywiz 2 for over 2 years. Have paid for moneywiz 2. I understand they want to update to moneywiz 3 and change it to subscription charge. But a least you should offer free upgrade for moneywiz 2 user to moneywiz 3 standard or some discount ($2-3 to upgrade to money wiz 3 standard). Now seems like we have to pay $9.99 to continue use moneywiz 3. I feel it is unfair and ripped off!!! Wish you guys offer some deals after seeing this message...

Great for a millennial like me!. Thank you! I was able to track down some bad habits seeing how much I was spending in some categories. Love the automatic categorization through the automatic sync with my banks. I don’t have a lot of discipline when it comes to money but the app takes care of so much and it makes it soooo easy.

Balance. I have tried several financial apps I’ve the years and MoneyWiz has the right features without the bloat for my goals. Syncing between my iPhone and MacBook works well too! Well done. Recommended app.

User who bought MoneyWiz 1 and 2 are “forced” to upgrade. Many people who have supported MoneyWiz since version 1 for BOTH Mac and iOS will now have have to buy the subscription version if they want to continue have further support for the app. MoneyWiz have announced that all support for MoneyWiz 2 has ended as of 2018, so people like me are now forced to upgrade because in the near future, when new iOS and/or MacOS are launched and something breaks MoneyWiz, your app will be useless. If MoneyWiz will at least give a discounted version for version 3 of the app, WITHOUT the subscriptions, I’d have upgraded and on version 4, I will buy the subscriptions because I want to continue supporting them. But for now, long time users got the short end of the stick after supporting MoneyWiz for years (since version 1).

I cannot figure out why each new update does include Ascending or Descending order. MoneyWiz 2 does.. The new layout is not my favorite. Allowing to make the font larger would give it a 5. How can you change Ascending and Descending order MoneyWiz is going the wrong way. Update yesterday and still NO Ascending or Descending order. Truthfully, MoneyWiz should dump version 3 and start over. By all the reviews for version 2 a lot of people agree. Since version 2 was taken off iTunes I updated to version 3. Great program!! Only request is give option for Ascending and Descending order of transactions.

I use it everywhere. I gave up on quicken after updating it each year for a long time. Looked and tried many apps and finally got the jackpot with Moneywiz. I use it on my iPhone X, iPad, Lenovo Yoga, Pixel 2XL, And it has never let me down with my several bank accounts, it does everything except Billpay. My stuff is ALWAYS up to date.

Worse Than Version 2.0. Remove the annoying subscription bar from the top of the UX screen. Why are you requiring paid subscription for syncbits? It was required in the past...so now I can’t change phones without losing all of my data inputs.

I’m a long time user. I’m a long time user of this brilliant app. Recently updated from MW2 to MW3. The automatically collapsing menus when scrolling are driving me crazy. Please make them always on so the scrolling will be predictable and less annoying.
