You’ve ruined your app. This app used to be my favorite news and information platform, but taking away the world region and the new advertising made me delete it off my phone. $2.00 a month is too much, and your offer looks like spam, so I don’t know what will happen if I click it.

Good app, terrible adds. Good app with quick up to date updates. But to the creators, PLEASE change these adds. There are half nude women and gory video games that constantly pop up on your screen. Please make this change🙏

Great app and concept. I use this app so much I feel I cannot live without it. A must have for anyone interested in global conflicts, especially Syria and the Middle East in general.

Pretty Good App - Some bugs and some ads. The app is good for the most part, but there are some map bugs. For example, sometimes you get stuck on a zoomed in portion. Reloading the app fixes it fine, though. Recent updates have really improved the map. Before, I could only see Russian advance, but now I can see Ukrainian counteroffensive too. The only other problem is ads. They are a bit annoying. You just have to wait them out. There come around often but not often enough to be a nuisance. I would have preferred border ads. Kills the aesthetic, but much less annoying. The Wikipedia approach of asking for donations would be ideal but, given the small user base, that may be impossible. Overall, still would recommend.

Used to work. This app used to work well. I could easily see what’s going on in different parts of the world. Now, the apps says that it can’t connect to the servers, takes forever to load. Loads an add but doesn’t load new information. I haven’t been able to load any information for at least a day, and counting.

Could be much better. The app isn’t the same as the web version. I was hoping to view without ads on the app version but the app doesn’t show current information. It’s a waste of a download.

Garbage. Terribly made application with ads on every corner and a payed subscription. While not being neither “universal” nor up to date at any point.

Ads every ten seconds completely ruins the app. I don’t mind ads, but having full page ads pop up in my face every few seconds is super annoying. So greedy and so disappointed.

Good Information, Bad App. The information provided is good/up to date with what is going on. I liked the different tags/labels. However, the app is pretty buggy and not user friendly. It often freezes, forcing me to close the app in order for it to work again. It is also very slow sometimes. The ad at the bottom covers a button, so I cannot see what it says nor click on it. If these issues were fixed, I would gladly give it a five star review.

Important tool for WW3. This is a really cool app and the idea is really great. But the app is so unbearable to use because it never refreshes, and ads pop up every 40 seconds. Not to mention you will be notified of news then click to read the full thing and it’s will not load

Adjusting view. It’s hard to move the map and zoom in, there are also too many ads

Terrible. I had the app for about two weeks. It’s running on iOS. It was almost impossible to refresh, and didn’t seem to be keeping up with very much in real time in UA. Today, I opened it and it’s all from 15 days ago (not the map) and won’t refresh. Trash time.

Ad’s are a little ridiculous.. Really a add that interrupts you every min? $2 a month? No thanks. You have a cool platform but those two issues make you not worth it.

Buggy. Buggy, intrusive ads. Do not recommend at all.

Morally Bankrupt Ugly App With Inappropriate Ads. I downloaded this to cast/airplay the live map regarding the current situation. Before I started casting, I was shown an ad for a shooting game. I was a little surprised at the subject matter and even thought “Hey making an app isn’t cheap, maybe they want a buck to disable ads”. Nope. No option to pay to remove them. I’m not sure who is profiting off of this, but shame on them for profiting off war and other human rights violations/humanitarian crises. Don’t let them profit. Avoid this app entirely.

One of the worst functioning apps Ive ever used.. As the title says, this app in its current state is HORRIBLE. Constantly gets stuck when pinching to zoom so that if you try to move the map it just zooms in and out even without continuing to pinch. The news feed is constantly behind whats on the website, sometimes taking up to 12 hours to update. The ads are absolutely intrusive but thats to be expected these days and trying to manually refresh the news feed never works. I have to close the app completely and restart it to get the news feed to update. I really wish this app worked because I enjoy the flow of information provided as well as the interactive map. One of my favorite websites to check for information on conflicts in the world but the app deserves 0 stars. Maybe if they spent more time working on functionality and QA testing their own app instead of trying to get you to toss 3 bucks their way to get rid of ads the app would actually be functional.

Ads won’t close. One thing is to have ads. Another is to have long ads. But now the ads close button is so small and it doesn’t close the ads which covers the entire screen.

True Journalism. As an American, researching the Syrian Civil War out of my own interest over the past half-year, this has been my best and most reliable source of information thus far. Most information provided comes directly from primary sources, rather than fabricated stories made to fit the ((agenda)) of Western media. I’d like to thank the creators of this platform for allowing me to better see what’s truly going on in this world.

Subscription processing bug. Subscribed for 6 months but adds only cancelled for the first month.

Garbage. Doesn't work. I open this app to reveal a blank white screen. No loading, no notifications options. Garbage. Deleted.

Update the app. App hasn’t been updated for 2 years and has many bugs. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone right now.

Uninstalling! 😡. The ads at the bottom are fine, but the interruptive full page ads every minute is just too much! It is all I can do NOT to throw my device across the room. Why did you have to ruin something good?

Lots of advertisements and clipboard spoofing. The app has issues with pinch zooming sometimes, only restarting it helps. I have seen how It gets clipboard content on start without my request. A lot of advertisements. The content itself is updated well and interesting.

Great app before all the adds. I mean c’mon, I’m looking into something serious and I get an add of some game that wants me to spell “cold”. Get out of here with that. No I don’t want to hook up with a girl online.

Good maps, good app, very annoying bugs. I love LiveUAMap. I’ve been using it since early 2016. But, there’s several bugs in th current version: Comment section will glitch out frequently which will disable your ability to scroll freely. Pressing on anyone’s disqus profile will make your app stuck in disqus unless you restart. Map layers sometimes just don’t load.

Buggy and Abandoned by Developers. The information on LiveUAMaps is good, but the app itself is very bad. It freezes often, mine defaults to Ukraine every time I close and reopen it, and those are just a few of the nagging issues. The developers haven’t fixed any bugs or updated the app in two years. And that’s frustrating when you’re paying a monthly subscription to them.

I can’t even subscribe. I would pay your $2/month sub easily, but now I am stuck with this new update. The subscribe button doesn’t work so I am stuck with the lite version and I can only see limited # of updates per region. This tool has essentially become useless for the first time since I started using it at the Ukrainian crisis.

A suggestion. I love this app. I love everything you do. Any chance you could make it possible to get notifications from multiple regions? Can’t be too hard to do huh?

The best for keeping up with the news. I love liveuamap. I have used it for 2-3 years now. Easily better than the others for being the most up to date.

Constant server crashes and bugs. And if you reach out to them on Twitter they ignore you because they just want to take your money. Ridiculous.

Used to be good until developers left. This app used to be REALLY good. But over the last year, the developers have stopped working on it for whatever reason. It has many app-breaking issues, a ton of adds, and the premium version doesn’t actually work(so don’t buy it). It’s so sad because I used to use this app every single day, but I’m tired of dealing with all of its issues now. Truly a sad state for this once great app to be in.

Works with some effort. The map scroll/zoom only works if you access by clicking an event from the news timeline. Ads are annoying but short. Giving 5 stars to support as I’ve followed these guys’ work since the Syrian war and there are no similar services I’m aware of.

2 FIXABLE BUGS NOT FIXED. 1 ultra annoying bug : Camera is super glitchy and i need to close and open the app again everytime that happens. And 2 medium annoying bug is that the select filter button or whatever it says i cannot read it, is kinda hidden because of the “rEmovE aDbErtIsIng”

Stick to the free version. It’s good for some limited situational awareness. I subscribed in order to gain access to some of the combined regions like the Middle East but was never granted access. Overall - the free version is about the extent of what you’ll get out of the app and not worth paying for.

What happened?. Used to be a great app. In some cases it still is, but for some reason the app reset itself and I lost my subscription?!

Unusable. Was great, but now you get a 10 second ad every 15 seconds or so. The app is not even usable at a base level right now because of this. It’s basically one long ad.

Not as reliable as I thought. They used to be good at the beginning when they started but now all the news coming out is nothing short of garbage when you compare with what’s actually happening.

There Are More Propaganda News Accounts than Real ones. Skynews Arabia and Rojava mews have been Putting fake news on syria and libya , i would love this app if it had like some staff that reviewed news posts to make sure that it is true and not propaganda

Good concept no features. The idea of this app is awesome, unfortunately it seems the only controls for the map are zoom in and out, meaning no way to view issues in other areas of the world without spoofing your gps.

Ads, rampant bugs, and unabashed bias.. The name says it all. Ads pop up non stop, it bugs out and freezes, and they don’t even try and hide their bias (at least with the Russian-Ukrainian conflict). If you want to keep tabs on that war, just go onto ukrainian government websites with a translator. Even running it through a translator will take less time, and that’s nearly their sole source of information.

Relented by ads. Uninstalled it because of ads that literally force you to interact with it or else it stays on said ad forever, pathetic, the devs rewened the app with their own greed, a bunch of sellouts and contrary to some of the other comments are truly not objective in their presentation of events on the ground

Not great anymore. Used to love this app…then I paid for the premium version and it won’t even open.

App works just not well. I mean yeah it works. But recently I haven’t been able to move around on the map and zoom it to specific areas. I have to tap on only the icons and use the zoom button to zoom in. Sometimes I’m trying to find the name of a town or village and I can’t even get over to that side of the map. The app used to be amazing I hope they can fix it soon!!

Spyware. Every time you launch the app, it steals whatever you have last copied

Fix. I like to use the app, but it never loads anymore. I see the home screen then a loading page.

More people should know about this app. Despite some bugs it's a great service.

Strong-arm ads. Looks like a nice app, but random ads make it virtually unusable unless you pay a monthly subscription. Not just bottom ads either but full video ads just pop up. Not worth the trouble.

can’t restore purchase. you cannot charge for ad free subscription and then remove the option to “restore purchase” when the app logs out. which it does regularly. feels like a rip off. is one.

Has a number of bugs. iPad App 3 Years Old.. Accessing LiveUAMaps on a web browser is a lot easier than using this app which is a shame. iPad has not been updated in over 3 years, and no longer fits the screen of any iPad. I have no problem paying to remove ads and support the developer, but the app needs a lot more work. Aside from iPad display issues, quite often the maps will not fully load, and instead shows big portions grayed out with zooming in out making it worse. App has a lot of potential but desperately needs refinements or a complete redesign.

Basically unusable, just use the website on your phone’s browser.. Pretty much unusable due to full screen adverts that appear. Better to just use the website on your phone’s browser. Get rid of the full screen adverts (leave banners) and I might re-download the app.

Notifications don’t work. Amazing app but for me at least notifications don’t work in the Syria map.

Cool but not perfect. Super cool app at keeping people informed about what's happening on the ground in Syria Unfortunately this app doesn't work well for iPads. You cannot rotate Into landscape mode. The interface is too large, this makes it impossible to change to satellite mode. And it does continue to crash from time to time. Other than these issues I find it a super useful app. Maybe in your next update you Do something for the iPad users.

Doesn’t work. Worked for a bit, now every time I open it, It says I am not connected to internet even if I am on wifi, often doesn’t even tell me, freezes while loading

Doesn’t allow me scroll across the map. What I mean is that nothing happens when you touch the map. It only works once in awhile when I refresh the app but right after it stops especially when I leave the map.

Paid for the app but still ads. I love the app, good, raw information with no editorial opinions. My problem is I paid for the ads to be hidden and it worked for a few days but the ads came back less than a week later! @liveuamap, will you answer my email and make this right ?

App issues. Every few hours it stops working, Saying cannot find servers. Also. I paid for a subscription and was working great for about 3 days. Now the adds have come back for some reason 😐

When it works, it’s great. Often doesn’t though. Your app is an amazing source of live updates regarding the Ukrainian-Russian War. Many interesting details about ongoing attacks and battles, and has a useful map to watch the progress of the Russian or Ukrainian military. My biggest problem : The app doesn’t load 50% of them time. The loading screen just loads and loads and loads until it tells me i have no internet and then shows me a commercial. It’s been almost a day i can’t get any more information. The browser website updates itself but it’s a mess on mobile devices. Please fix it soon.

This app reads the data in my clipboard on startup. This app provides an amazing resource, and does so for free however upon opening the app, I get a notification “information pasted from clipboard.” Before I even interact with the app in any way. This is unacceptable behaviour for an app to do. Do not download this app if you value your data.

Go SAA. I use to like it but no more.. Its not neutral.. News glorify rebel actions and all writting about Asad (SAA) is so antipropaganda.. Its clear u like rebels but i dont like u couse u r not neutral news and maps..

long time user. I've used this website since Russia first went into Ukraine just to check on the situation and Now I use this for a wider range of subjects. I'm only currently giving 3 stars as a neutral review since I have not yet opened this app.

Not working and inaccurate. The worst app ever! Keeps crashing and it’s very inaccurate

Great information source. Needs more content. I started using this app after the Charlie Hebdo attacks to make sure I stay safe, and informed. This app is far faster than even the best news channels to reply information as soon as it happens. The only downside to this app is the lack of posted content compared to the desktop site. The desktop site has about triple the reports, and postings as the mobile app, and is a far better source.

Great App. I love this app and I recommend anyone thinking of downloading it to do so. One minor complaint is that when you change the date back, the map doesn't always update like it does on the website. I would still recommend this app to anyone though.

Lags and crashes. The idea is very very unique and great. I would love to be using an app like this much more often if it wasn't for the crashing and lagginess. The app runs smooth sometimes but then lags, and crashes. Or it just crashes out of nowhere. The UI needs to be improved a little bit too I believe. It would be nice to go back to the main or start screen where all the different categories are at from the map, or the feed of news instead of tapping on the settings page and choosing to go the start screen from there.

Good. I love to stay updated on world news especially when cities like Mosul and Raqqa are under siege. Though the app definitely needs improvement I like it alot.

Paid to remove ads, defaults to web ads. I paid on the app, I used the code, didn’t help at all. Internal links bring it to the web where it’s congested with ads. This product is useful, but for years has needed help by developers with more functional expertise.
