Frequent Late deliveries. I am a regular customer of Deliveroo but lately deliveries were not only late but seriously and unacceptably late. Today I ordered from Sumo Sushi and Bento. I ordered at 8pm and the food arrived at 10pm. When I dropped a message to Deliveroo customer care, all she said ‘we are sorry for the inconvenience’. Instead of saying we’ll make sure the restaurant makes it up to you until you are satisfied. They have so much to learn proper customer service.

Just say you don’t want to give for free. It is a delivering application, so their purpose and their job is to deliver something on time, as they promised and that if they don’t deliver it on time, they said, they will give you back your money/the order is for free, but how is such thing possible if they will just « update » the delivery time. It is obvious that they don’t want to provide the refund if they delay the order; meaning, they don’t want to stick to their promise. It is ridiculous because my order will keep getting delayed and I will continue to get hungry and when I get busy and cannot grab my order, the delivery person will arrive which is lots of fun 🤕. As a delivery application, they should provide the service they promised. On the positive note, they have a wide range of places that they deliver from and they can deliver to far places, so that’s good.

One of Worst Apps.. Avoid. No way to communicate properly with customer service and when you chat with them they just stop replying when they are wrong like late delivery etc.. Food gets way delayed and you do not get refunded for money you paid on food that came late and cold. Today after repeated mistakes from their side i deleted my account. I ordered, order got accepted , they charged me AED 155 , after 90 minutes i realized that order is way late. I checked the app to find that order was cancelled with no email or sms notification. I chatted with the customer service to find out that my money will be refunded after few days. No apologies nothing!

Ripped Off and Customer Service is Computer Not Human. I have tried all the delivery apps in the UK and the US, this is by far the bottom of the list in terms of service and ability to actually get your food. This happened few times so I’ll share one example - my food was running an hour late vs the app estimate. Deliveroo just kept moving the estimated delivery by 5mins. So I kept waiting. 1) The customer representative told me that they reached out to the restaurant and it will be with me shortly. 2) half hour later I got the same response from a different customer service representative, which makes me think it’s not a real human but some computer response. 3) called the restaurant and turns out it wasn’t open at all, so somehow Deliveroo let me order from a place that was closed. 4) I related this fact to the next customer service representative (now 2 hours after my original delivery) and she said that they can’t refund me but they will investigate. After 30 to 45 minutes more of reasoning that the opening hours indicate it’s closed and nobody answers their phone, they eventually refunded me. So my dinner turned into 3hour project of micro management . Unfortunately most restaurants by then were closed as it was dinner time.

SCAM to watch out for with delivery drivers - alcohol. I ordered some wine and when the driver arrived, he asked for ID. I went to show him my phone and he said it had to be original ID which I did not have on me so he left with the wine. I called Deliveroo and asked if he was returning the wine to the store and they said “no, he is under no obligation to” so he simply kept it, and Deliveroo refused to refund me to refund me because I could not produce ‘original’ ID so the delivery guy got to enjoy the wine that I paid for which is absolutely ludicrous. It’s a loophole in their terms and conditions that empowers delivery riders and totally exploited me. I’m in nearly 50 not 18 and had a house full of children so clearly there was no question around my age. Since when does a copy of your license or passport on the phone not suffice for a delivery? He knew what he was doing. The fact Deliveroo wouldn’t refund me is a disgrace, so I’ve taken it up with my bank. Be aware of this scam/loophole that serves Deliveroo and their riders… i’m a confident I am not the first person this has happened to.

Used to be good not anymore. It used to be a good app, but apparently the current services is only about taking money, and not delivering as we have made one order for 50 dirhams, requesting for food delivery from a certain restaurant, and they deducted the money but the food was never delivered and it showed as if it was delivered and when we contacted the chat support in the app, they said that we do not deliver. This delivery is done by the restaurant, we apologize for the furthest we were tried to contact the restaurant and nothing happened. They did not refund the money and they told us to wait even though we have already waited one hour and 30 minutes with no delivery and response etc. proof they’re just stealing money literally stealing money.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Unfortunately I was unable to receive my order. The driver was not able to reach my address with the special instructions I gave. Within a half hour, they disposed of my meals. I took the next step to contact customer services. They did not offer any refund or credit for a next meal. They took the drivers side of story 100%, and left me with a better luck next time gesture. Seeming to protect influx of their business.. the the deliveroo customer service does not care about their community of users, and it shows.

Customer Service Terrible. I use food delivery all the time in every country I visit. This is the worst service I’ve ever tried, customer service is abysmal. I just moved to the UK and got a new number, but Deliveroo won’t let me use this number as it’s been used before. Seems like pretty basic tech to have a 2FA setup to confirm I now own this phone number. Uber Eats is 10 times better, better customer service and functions smoother. Don’t bother with this app. Just use Uber Eats.

Scam Be AWARE!!. When you place the order first thing they charge you which is “normal”. But, sometimes the restaurant or the café you ordered from refuse the the order for any reason “Examples” 1- they closed already, 2- they busy at the time you placed your order, or what ever reason. So, in that case your money should be refunded to your APP Balance or your Credit Card which is normal?. But they didn’t, and you have to talk to them? You can’t reach them, no phone numbers no customer care, no support at all. They force you to send an email explain to them what is happened and then they will tell you it will be refunded in about 14 “Working Days” which is 21 Day’s!! I my self been a month and didn’t receive My money at all. I tried to reach them via email many time explaining my issues over and over again but noting changed. I hope no one get robbed by this Trash company and STAY AWAY STAY SAFE!!! Please I’m afraid these kind of companies just steal hard working people money by different names and logos. For the record I will file a complaint to my local police station and will go to court to get my money back from those Thief's!

WORST “CUSTOMER SERVICE” EVER. reporting errors or missing items is such a headache. If you have a missing item, the automatic system might resolve it and refund you, but if you need to speak to a “live agent” you’re screwed. They will end your chat without saying anything, or there might be literally an hour between replies. It’s infuriating. And if you report something missing and then realize another thing is missing, the system will not let you submit another claim and you’ll be forced to be stuck with the “live agent” who won’t reply to you. I’ve been robbed by restaurants/Deliveroo several times now. I’m switching to Uber Eats because this is ridiculous. How are you still in business?? Take notes from DoorDash customer service, because they actually solve problems and reply to you right away. I wish they were in Europe and UK. 😭💔

Usually great but terrible customer service. Usually great service and a very useful app. Though recently the app did not tell me a restaurant had closed and I placed an order for that night. Once the order was made it was “scheduled for tomorrow”. At that point I tried using the app to cancel the order 10x+ and I wrote two emails to their support asking to cancel the order. They did not cancel the order and I still had to pay for the food and have a meal delivered that I did not want. Terrible customer service and I’m very disappointed.

Worst customer support and service. Delieveroo during the pandemic has been a fantastic resource for getting delicious food whilst stuck at home. However their customer support is absolutely HORRENDOUS. The handful of times an order says it’s been delivered and the driver tracker showed they obviously went somewhere else and just drove off, the driver spilled or crushed our meals. There strategy of their customer “support” seems to be to CONSISTENTLY blame the customer and actively refuse to give us refunds effectively stealing funds for undelivered services. The last straw for me today was having a deliverer ring us on the phone and aggressively DEMAND that we walk 5 minutes one way to meet him. we gave him detailed directions even listed then in our delivery notes but when we politely refused to walk that far and offered directions again, he hung up, then lied and said the delivery was made (we were literally standing outside in the cold for 3 minutes waiting for him as the text said he was “near by”. We immediately contacted a customer service rep who refused to issue a refund because the “order was delivered” and suggested we “change the address” even though we’ve not had issues with folks finding the address before. Ridiculous and thieving. We’ve decided we’re going to place orders directly with restaurants now. Screw you deliveroo.

Meal card support is severely lacking.. The app itself works well, and the UX is good, but one part feels like a dark pattern: meal cards. On the surface they are accepted. There are even buttons and logos for them! But try using them and discover the truth: - Many restaurants you know accept the card just don’t on Deliveroo. - So you filter restaurants to only list the ones supporting your card to discover at checkout that they actually don’t on the checkout screen - When they accept the card many times payment just fails with an « unexpected error » message. With your full order, you just revert to using your credit card and sit on more and more meal card credit :( - And sometimes, miraculously, one of them goes through. But consider yourself lucky and go buy a lottery ticket in that case. Because that’s not a common scenario unfortunately Those are not vague assertions. I’ve got the restaurants to repeatably prove what I’m writing

Improve your delivery service!. Love this app, good food with decent range of restaurants and cuisines. The single star rating is because of the constant letdowns when it come to actual ‘delivery’ - meals are often ready and waiting (and waiting, and waiting) at the restaurants for a pickup. Have experienced orders waiting for 2 hours at the restaurant. Imagine the congealed mess that arrives. ‘Help’ button is practically useless, allowing for only limited interactions. Fix your delivery mechanism; there are many service providers waiting out there to eat your lunch.

INCOMPETENCE. The operators of this app are not only incompetent but also very mean, evil and wicked!!! I placed an order on the app worth about £20 plus the rider called to say he was at my building with the order and on calling my partner to go get the order he didn’t see the rider and I chatted them to see what could be done so I am able to take delivery of my order… They confirmed to me that the rider left with my order cos he waited for 9 minutes and there’s nothing they can do to help me!! I was very angry because the order was food for my kids, I had proceeded to write them an email trying to make them see reasons as it’s not my fault because as my partner was outside on time to meet with the rider.. so it’s either the rider was never there to make delivery or he was at some other place BUT please take note of the most important thing here! They confirmed the order wasn’t delivered! They got payment for the said other!! and they bluntly refused to make any attempt to help me and there’s no where it says on the app that after 9 minutes the rider will leave with your order… so I’m writing this review for other users to know that it’s very possible you make an order and no get it on this app!

Some orders are taking longer and longer to arrive. As someone who makes multiple orders a week - I’ve observed that most orders arrive in the FIRST timeframe that shows on the app. But I’ve recently encountered orders where riders keep changing and therefore causing a delay in the delivery, or there is a delay of up to 20 mins before a restaurant even accepts the order. There was even once when after waiting for ages for the restaurant to confirm, it cancelled the order. It can now take 2 hours for a meal to arrive when it should have taken less than an hour. Calling the helpline results in offers to cancel the order or advice to just wait, and promises to highlight the situation to managers. Not helpful when you have hungry mouths to feed.

Lost ordered - terrible customer service. Few weeks ago, I ordered a meal via deliveroo. After a long hour we received a phone call saying that our order was lost (????). there was no coordination. I called the restaurant who said that they were doing another order and deliveroo who said they would reimburse. so after 1h20 minutes we agreed that I will have a replacement order (only because the restaurant said they were about to finish the order). the lady on the phone who spoke an approximate english was rude, and very sarcastic. she was keeping saying, wishing tou an excellent night… always insisting on the EXCELLENT… not one single time she apologize or acknowledge that this situation could have been disappointing for me. Pity that the customer service is not training properly the staff of the customer service

Card Payment Declined. I am a new user and added my card with the wrong expiration date. After correcting the date, my account wouldn’t let me use any cards or place any orders. I called and emailed customer service about the issue without any resolution. I deleted the old account and made a new account without problems with ordering using the same card information. Otherwise the app has a wide variety of convenient food and delivery choices. Update: I’m still experiencing card payment problems on the app. PayPal has always worked, but the app and mobile site don’t list PayPal as an option. Only the desktop website lists PayPal.

deliveroo reward system. Usually, I am an avid customer of deliveroo but as of recent they have been disappointing me. The drivers usually forget to bring change and I always have to go look for smaller bills or suffer a loss. Today I ordered from Maestro and it said that I had an offer because I ordered 3 times but when I looked closely at the bill, the discount was not applied even though it said reward redeemed. There was also the issue with the same branch having no discount before I ordered and after I placed my order, there was a discount of 25% off. When I called customer support, I was told that it must have been put up right after I ordered, which I find ridiculous. I hope these issues get resolved and don’t occur again.

Won't get your money back for their mistake. I have never in my life left a review on any app or company. I ordered with deliveroo €22 worth of food. I received an entirely different order, not even close to what I paid for. When I shared the issue with Deliveroo, I was returned €12 based on review of the issue. I asked how could I possibly be getting almost half of what I paid when I was given the wrong order. They told me they "would take in my feedback and could not offer any further compensation at this time." Won't use Deliveroo again. I only posted this review so others would be aware that you may not get your money back even if Deliveroo is at fault for the issue.

Get with it. I’ve been using this app for years now.. and all it takes is for one sour time, to never use it again. I had and order take over TWO hours to be delivered, as you’d assume, I asked to cancel the order through the app. The person I was dealing with said my order just arrived at the location. As it was now midnight, and I was in bed, I no longer wanted the sushi I ordered. The person at deliveroo I was dealing with said I couldn’t be refunded and to just save my food for the next day.. like.. girl, I am not eating sushi that took 2 hours to be delivered the next day. From this experience a couple months ago, I’ve not used the app, nor do I plan on it. I’d rather pay slightly more on any other app ( when sometimes that’s the case) than support this app again.

Frustrating and Zero Support. When ordering breakfast, keep running into the same problem. After picking what we wanted and then then trying to finalize, for a message saying “restaurant has now closed”. Called restaurants who said they were still open, accepting orders and to please keep trying. Problem kept repeating and there is no way to get help other than sending an email (received an automated response). It is a great service when it works but repeated errors/frustration like this with no way of getting any help makes me eager to find a more reliable alternative.

Bad delivery. We had a problem lately with the deliveroo. After one year of not changing anything in info about where to deliver and a phone number, Suddenly there is an issue with some drivers that can’t find us. They dont call, they just leave a message on deliveroo wich is nowhere to find when I open the app. No notification about the message, no message inbox, so how are we supposed to reply when we cant see it?!! This is becoming very annoying. The ppl in a call center told me i have the wrong number, but my number is the same and I haven’t changed it. I can see in my details my number. Then the driver lied about leaving the food in the reception of the building. It is really bad lately and unfortunately I ll have to delete the app and start using other delivery apps. Luckily there is a lot of them in Dubai :)

Cannot Tip Driver After Delivery If Missed Notification. I have only used this app once and will never use it again to order food. I do not believe in tipping before delivery, as sometimes the service is awful and I cannot go back and reflect that. With this app, you can only tip after delivery from a push notification. If you do not receive it or accidentally dismiss it, your driver will not receive a tip at all. When I reached out to customer support, they sent me a copy/paste message saying that, and were unable to resend the notification or open the meal in order to tip the driver. I would not blame the driver or the customer support, but I do blame the app creators for not having a way to fix this. Every other delivery service I have used has had a way to tip after, non-reliant on a one-time notification, and they’ve had this service for years.

Proceed with Caution. I am not a needy person. However, when my food gets taken by the delivery driver on two occasions, I get very upset. The driver literally says he drops it off, takes a picture of it, and then takes it. I have video footage of this on two occasions. When I reach out to Deliveroo, they offer another delivery of the order in an hour. This is kind, however, you still have to pay the delivery fee and tip that you gave to the original driver. They need to fire these people and get honest man to work for them. Not only honest men, but better customer crisis prevention services. If I am unhappy, offer me the delivery fee for free or a coupon as well as the food I ordered. The problem with big companies is that they forget about their customers. I work in the hospitality industry specifically owning a grocery delivery business on a small island in North Carolina. We actually care about our customers when something goes wrong by offering them free delivery and a bottle of wine. Maybe this is the problem with the corporate life. No one will actually read this and this message will do nothing. If anything someone will respond by saying “so sorry you are upset, please fill out this SURVEY that we sent”. Surveys do nothing to fix the problem in the short term.

Buggy app - poor service. 1. Each time I open the app, it asks for me to confirm my address. This is extremely annoying. 2. I’m unable to text or message the driver, I can only make a phone call. The whole point of using an app is to not call people (and consume minutes). Why can’t we message via the app? 3. Even with the address entered, and also additional notes on how to find my flat in central London, the driver still couldn’t find it. Thus ending up with more phone calls. 4. The driver entered into the app that they “have arrived” and also called me to say they’re waiting for me downstairs. But of course they’re not there. I went down anyway just in case, and no, they were in some other location. 5. Before claiming to have arrived, Drivers should buzz/ring the flat. It’s not fun to wait for them on the street, while they figure out how to navigate London. If the delivery were free, maybe that could be a trade off. 6. The food never arrived (was it left on the street? Was it given to some random person?) who knows...but the driver entered into the app that the delivery had been delivered. (If drivers would deliver it to the apartment doorstep, at least the correct person would be receiving the delivery.) 7. Now I’m dealing with customer service.. another 30 minutes of my life wasted..and no food to show for it. It would have been easier for me to just pick this up myself.

Refund Beware. Half of an order was missing and it took forever to get a refund for that missing amount. I never received a response after submitting a complaint and had to contact customer service directly. At first I was lied to by customer support about how much would be refunded and then on my second chat it took forever to receive the partial amount back (I request 50% back as I thought that was fair since half the order was missing). That request was too much for Deliveroo apparently. Finally, I was told that 50% would be returned to my bank and I would receive a £5 voucher for the issue. Guess what! Instead I received two vouchers instead of the amount being reimbursed to my bank. Now I have to use the app again to use the voucher although this all could have been avoided if I received a refunded for my missing items. Such a waste of time and poor customer service.

Late deliveries with them. The customer support team is very nice, but they just know how to apologize and actually don’t solve anything for the customer. They will always protect their partner restaurants from bad feedback rather than allowing the customer to share their real experience (as customers rightfully deserve.) They delayed my order over 50 minutes and the app wouldn’t give me the option to leave feedback. I talked to 4 different chat assistants, one of them even a manager, and none of them could help me leave the feedback. Let me mention that each restaurant actually has a rating, so the option should be there. Bottom line: they’re not professional when it come to their clients. Don’t trust them with your deliveries.

Horrible service. I ordered food using the app and when I need help from customer service they were rude and not helpful. I order a meal that was 20 dollars or 15 pounds, the order was Thai sweet and sour chicken. The problem was that my meal literally had one piece of chicken in it, when it’s sweet and sour chicken! I did the live chat customer service and all they said they can’t do anything because it’s about personal taste! Umm no I think if I’m paying that much I want more then just one small piece of chicken with tons of pineapple and onions. I also sent them a picture of it and after she told me that it was about personal taste the person ended the conversation without me being able to get more information on how it’s my personal taste...

Unbelievable Difficult Cancellation. Listen, I’m not even from the UK, I only went to Europe for a bit and before you know it they signed me up for Deliveroo plus which I didn’t even want. I’m trying to cancel it and there website and app makes it impossible to do. I’ve tried multiple times resetting the password to allow me to deactivate but everytime something “went wrong” and it wouldn’t proceed. I had previously tested it on another e-mail I have and it went fine. Like why the difference? I’m not very happy with this, and I went to customer service via e-mail they told me to use the apps and online instead of doing it for me. So ridiculous. Never using this app again.

Generally Reliable. Normally it works well but today a rider never showed up but the notification said the order was delivered. I was given the option to reorder for free so I did, I waited, and then the guy at the restaurant decided to close early and refused to resend the order. They also refused to cancel it through Deliveroo, or they were unable to, and I wasn't able to either. I was able to contact someone through the chat and now I'm being issued a refund. I appreciate this but restaurants who close whenever they feel like it should not be listed on the Deliveroo app.

Terrible customer service. Tried to use the app to place orders three times unsuccessfully despite showing the orders being processed. Even though orders were processed it also said there was an issue with the payment. I tried various credit cards without any success. Was sent to customer service who said account was blocked because of security’s day it was unblocked. Tried it 2 more times and same results. Raises issue to customer service for a second time and they replied that I was being a nuisance and they BANNED me from using the service. What a joke! And a waste of my time. Both of the other competitors Grab and Panda absolutely no problems with the same methods of payments. Dot East your time with this App or company!

Useless. The concept is great the product is ****. They delete your account and all it’s settings out of nowhere which has happened twice to me now. What really makes them useless is their inability to actually fill your orders. I waste at least 2 hours a week on waiting for orders that never actually get accepted or delivered. If you are a good delivery app, customers shouldn’t spend a couple hours a week not getting food they ordered and then telling them that their time, level of hunger, and overwhelming inconvenience that they keep on causing is worth a $5 voucher (which they give about 5% of the time this happens). Minimum wage is more than $5 but yet several hours of my time because your app is **** is worth $5? Too much competition out there, user beware. 50/50 whether the food you ordered will actually show up, and after it doesn’t show up they assure you they aren’t going to charge you for food they can’t deliver 🤣. Joke of an app and business, who should fire the entire customer support team robots as well. I do not think they actually hire many people for customer support but rely on AI to keep on giving you the same pre-canned messages over and over again. It’s literally the most infuriating thing someone can deal with when they are having a problem with their order. Seriously do not waste your time with them.

Not a trustworthy or reliable app. The food often comes very late, often with less than Half of the things I asked for. I’m not given the courtesy of the option to cancel my order when things are not going to be delivered as I requested. And they prompt for a tip ahead of time, which means I’m often actually tipping for this terrible service. When you complain about a missing item you are given the option of a refund or a Deliveroo credit. What they don’t tell you at that moment is that the delivery credit will expire within three months. No you find that out after you’ve already chosen and it’s too late. And then customer service tries to hang up on you multiple times.

Intermittent failures and poor auth handling. I initially had some success ordering using a PayPal payment option, but have had repeated failures attempting to pay for an order using a credit card. This wouldn’t have been so bad but now my PayPal option has disappeared from my available choices, and the menu for adding a new payment option seemingly no longer offers it. In an attempt to workaround this I tried using the web app, where my email address is apparently not connected to the account I made using this app. The mobile app doesn’t let you connect a facebook or google account retroactively, so now I have an orphaned and unusable Deliveroo Plus mobile account. Please sort out the payment options shuffling, and the onboarding process should allow for a mobile account based on a credit card to be linked to an account made on the web app.

AWESOME. haven't had any app problems (crashes, won't load, etc).. yet. Used it twice, and so far, Im hooked ! I lové how it shows you exactly how long it will take to get your food, & tracks it every step of the way. Only thing is- some restaurants that appear within my vicinity, after i select my food and go to order it says "this restaurant is out of range." Why does it even show up if i can't order from them ? -.- it should say on the Restaurant page if they cannot deliver to you, not after you pick out all your food and go to order.

Horrible customer service. My order was not delivered due to the drivers not being able to reach my address. Deliveroo offered me a credit for the order. However I cannot use this credit for any order and the app is not allowing me to switch payment methods to my credit card. Hence I am stuck in a limbo unable to order anything. I wrote to customer service about this. They responded to my email after two days and promised to fix the issue in 2 days. It’s been a full week and no resolution so far. In addition I would like to point how difficult it is to find any customer support from within the app interface. It has been hidden away under the ‘About’ sub menu of the ‘My Account’ screen. This is a deliberate cumbersome design to prevent people from contacting customer support. Overall, Deliveroo seems to not care for its community of users. I am a Deliveroo Plus member and I deserve benefits and speedy customer service none of which are offered satisfactorily.

The good and the bad. I really like the easy way Deliveroo offers access to a variety of restaurant deliveries.. reason I gave I gave it 3 stars is the following.. I noticed the following pattern.. you open the App, Pick a Place and it shows you 35 to 50min.. I order and 5 min later ready to place the order delivery estimate has changed to 60 to 90 min and that’s a bit annoying.. 2 times now the delivery time was updated and incurred an additional 20 min wait at which point it was too late to cook my own dinner.. so would appreciate more transparency on timing from the get go

App issues make for an unpleasant experience. I won’t use this review to complain about Deliveroo and will focus on issues with the app: when using the Live Chat option for support, it does not save the draft of a message you’re typing. So if you do something like switch out of the app to double check you’ve taken a screenshot, then come back to the app, it loses the message you had been typing. The issue, in my most recent case, that I was trying to report was the driver “Contact” button wasn’t working which is problematic when the app notifies you that the driver can’t find your location. (And that the driver sent that message before even arriving at my building… which is just lazy.)

Long-term happy user. Apart from the very rare hiccups with late orders, the delivery service has been super reliable and app works wonderfully. Support can be reached via chat after placing an order so if the rare issues come up I am covered. Map tracking is a big plus so that I know when my driver has left and his real-time location. I have used it in multiple countries with great service everywhere. Reliable and quick, which is how I need my food delivery to be.

Disappointed Various Times. I am a loyal deliveroo customer. We use it often. The past few times, something is ALWAYS wrong with our order. We pay for a service, and expect it to be perfect. There’s a missing item from the (restaurant fault) , or even sometimes it’s not even OUR order (being the driver’s fault). We once received gelato (that we did not order) from a place we didn’t order from. And I assume someone else got our order (which was a full course meal). If we pay for a service, make sure the order is correct (in the restaurant). And also make sure (the driver knows what orders are for what customer. I just experienced now, a missing item from an order. And I had to re-order (with a credit) and wait 40 minutes for a simple nugget order to come. The rest of my food that arrived correctly is now cold. And I am upset. Please (restaurants and drivers) ALWAYS double check the orders. Thank you.

No drop off and leave option. We are in the middle of a pandemic, and yet I do not see an option on Deliveroo anywhere that says my delivery person can drop the food off at my front door and just leave. A true contactless delivery. Every time I have had to tell the riders to just leave the food and feel free to go when they call me, but the delivery riders don't always speak the best English. The last straw was today when a delivery rider that didn't understand English very well didn't attempt my delivery once I called him and the app will not refund me the $17. Switching to UberEats permanently, because even though they're more expensive, they have a drop off only option. Spending a few dollars extra on a delivery fee when I order delivery is much better than spending $1 on delivery but then whole $20 orders get wasted sometimes due to a feature that frankly should have been implemented more than a year ago at the start of the pandemic.

Care Package. Sent my daughter’s family a meal from the USA to the NL. They have a new baby and they were able to choose their restaurant and menu choices. My only delay was figuring out to put +1 in front of my phone number (after figuring out Dutch menu). Turned on notifications and delivery was 2 minutes faster than quoted. Next I’m hoping to order them coffee and breakfast to ease them into especially busy days. 👍🏻👍🏻

Scam?. I ordered food from Brunch Republic for my family. I accidentally put in the address order of Brunch Republic for delivery. On the notes I put Four Point Hotel and the hotel room number (which is less than 2 miles away). The caller called me twice, and I told him my husband was downstairs. I said we are at Four Point Hotel. He was near the hotel. He never showed up. I contacted the company, and they said I put in the wrong address. I explained to them that the address I accidentally put in is the same address of where he put in my food but on the notes, it shows Four Point Hotel. The restaurant confirmed the driver picked the food up but did not drop the food back off (where the location address is). We have no food. The restaurant made the food. This delivery app took my food, and I asked for them to contact the driver for my food and they refused. The phone that he called me from was no longer reachable after a few minutes.

Terrible Support. We are traveling abroad and tried to use this app to order dinner one evening. We placed the order and within 4 minutes it was “delivered,” clearly is was not. We contacted customer service and 30 minutes later they resubmitted it. Over an hour later, nothing. We contacted customer service again and they tried to say it is picked up and on its way. While on the phone we get an email that it was cancelled by the restaurant, because they are closing. The customer service rep tried saying it was closing early. Lie. Our assumption was the restaurant was actually closed and their system didn’t know that. The app should prevent orders from places that are clearly closed and the customer service reps should be able to tell that. It showed many riders were on their way to pick up and then, nothing. They should be able to report this issue. Just terrible. After 2 hours we got nothing.

Worst service ever. Deliveroo is the worst delivery service ever in Kuwait. Their drivers are rude, delivering the orders without wearing face mask, orders always missing items and even when redilevering the missing items, the redelivery is missing more items as they are doing it intentionally and paying any attention to picked up orders or respect to the waiting customer, a single order took more than 2 hours between delivery and redelivery and never arrived in full and they said can’t do any further redelivery as the restaurant is closed while it’s still open. They are full of mistakes and unacceptable excuses. Never ever use their service unless you want to suffer to get your meal delivered in full if possible which I doubt it. I’m deleting their app from my device and my advice is to avoid it. It is totally BAD BAD BAD experience, really.

Use it all the time!. It’s a lifesaver, no doubt. I’m stuck in the house mostly, without easy access to groceries or dining out so it’s a huge help. The app is so easy to use, and really intuitive and engaging. My only complaint is that there doesn’t seem to be a system to check that the order is complete when picked up. I couldn’t say who’s supposed to be responsible for that, but it is frustrating that about a quarter of my orders thus far are missing at least one item for which I was charged. Refunds through Deliveroo were given right away, though (except for one, maybe they didn’t believe me?). Bottom line, I will continue to use them because I rely on their service, but account for a bit of a loss.

Use Another App. Deliveroo has made every delivery a headache. The level of incompetency required to make the mistakes they make is unimaginable. They consistently deliver to the wrong place even when the instructions we give them are clear and direct, my experience using this app has been repulsive. The last straw was one of the drivers delivering the food in a completely different area and the order was completely wrong, they didn’t even apologise. I beg of you to use another app, this one is expensive and not worth the effort or money. They make no effort to correct their mistakes and are beyond lazy. If I could take back every fils i spent on through this app I would- simply starving would give me more peace of mind. I refuse to believe that using this app can result in a good experience. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Disappointing and lack of accountability countability. Deliveroo consistently disappoints with its lack of accountability and poor customer service. Despite promising timely deliveries and accurate orders, my experiences have been consistently plagued by late deliveries and incorrect food items. What's even more frustrating is their unresponsiveness when attempting to address these issues. When seeking help or attempting to resolve problems, Deliveroo becomes unreachable, leaving customers stranded with their problems unresolved. It's disheartening to see a service fail to take responsibility for its shortcomings and disregard customer satisfaction. I can't recommend a service that neglects its responsibilities and leaves customers in the lurch.

Horrible service. If I could give 0 stars I would. Not recommended for international travelers. They allow you to provide additional information so they can find you but the delivery person does not utilize it. I provided the hotel front desk number and they did not call before leaving without completing the delivery. Customer service live chat was not helpful. I asked if another person can pick up and deliver at the beginning of our conversation and the representative said no, but after I complained to have them credit my card he said he can have someone else deliver. I said ok and then he said he already submitted my credit. I don’t understand why he offered that option if it could not be done. Their service needs improvement.

Driver ate food ~ Threw rubbish in street. - Ordered 1kg of Fried Chicken from the delicious 'Koko Chicken', and as usual, watched the order getting prepared on the app. - Saw the driver pick up the meal on the app, and followed his journey as he reached my street. - As he was driving down my street, I went to prepare and get plates ready etc. - Went to the front door and waited, only for the driver to be a no-show. - Checked neighbours doors in case the order was delivered to the wrong address (hard to do as the number on our house is quite large. - No food. No food in sight. - Got online with Deliveroo who said that the driver said "Our pin was not set properly on our house", which is funny because it certainly was, and all previous orders found us just fine. - Next day, walked to the end of our street on the ways to get groceries. - At the end of our street are 2x empty boxes of Koko Fried Chicken WITH THE RECEIPT!!!!!!! - Quite impressed that the driver was able to eat an entire 1kg of fried chicken not going to lie. - But VERY DISAPPOINTED with Deliveroo who said that " We already refunded your order" and there's nothing more we will do about it. - Order from Deliveroo if you want to see litter ALL OVER YOUR STREET from the driver who ATE YOUR MEAL, who was also dumb enough to LEAVE THE RECEIPT!!!!

This is a great app. In the Geelong area deliver roo has the best selection. And unlike Uber eats a better map. When I first started using it there wasn’t that many restaurants in the Geelong area however as it has grown the selection has become massive. Where with Uber eats the selection only got smaller and came with a bunch of issues. The area that I live in is hard to navigate Uber eats could never find your house and would constantly deliver your food to another persons home. I’ve never had that problem with deliver roo. The team at deliver too are highly responsive and if there’s any issues they resolved the problem immediately.

The App may or may not be good - but the delivery network is appalling. The app is a bit more complicated and fiddly to use than the other food delivery platforms. But what really let’s it down is obviously Deliveroo cannot match the delivery network of others. This also means that many Restaurants don’t even bother to login to deliveroo. All of this boils down to money. Deliveroo are not paying riders enough. Their margins to restaurants are also too high, as the pricing of same menu items to other platforms is high. Then the addition of a service fee and a delivery fee is just ridiculous. Pricing is so complex. The only reason I still use it, is every few months they offer a retention credit because you haven’t used the app. If you are willing to wait 90minutes for a subway sandwich (something that is Ok to be delivered cold), then you can basically get 2 for 1 with their retention credit. You just have to wait, and wait.

Great service if you like late, cold food. Ordered some fast food and the app said 35 mins for delivery. I had no problem with that. The shop was only a 5 minute drive, but I understand it takes longer behind the scenes to organise it all. But the estimated delivery time kept blowing out longer and longer. The app advised me four different times that four different riders were close to picking up the order. Then would say “having trouble finding a rider”. After an hour, I got tired of waiting and called customer service. They were very sorry and advised me another 15 minutes and I’d have my food. Apparently when they send out the blast that an order has been placed, riders can choose to reject it, thereby forwarding it to another rider. And so on until one of them takes up the offer. At least, that’s what I think the guy was trying to tell me. The food arrived 30 minutes later (almost 90 mins after I placed the order). The food was cold and I didn’t even get an apology from the rider. The customer service rep gave me a $15 credit towards my next order as a consolation. But I won’t be using it or this terrible service ever again. Steer clear.

unreliable restaurants -Will only order from deliveroo if uber eats doesn’t tickle my fancy. Picture this right. You’re searching through a plethora of online clothing retailers, you narrow it down to a few that you think a few items are kinda cute. You think buying multiple items across different retailers is ridiculous so you pick one store with a few items you like. After some long contemplation, you finally pick a few items that you’re lusting over. You’re so keen for your new purchases you checkout, make your payment and then a few moments later you get an email that your items are out of stock. Imagine that many times over a year. Consistently over the past year I have ordered from deliveroo and the amount of times I have had restaurants ‘cancel’ the order after I have spent some time finally deciding what to eat. Anticlimactic much. If the restaurant cannot make the order, the restaurant should not be displayed for customers. This is a horrible user experience for deliveroo customers. Will not last in a competitive market. It has become a household joke, my house mates and I make bets on order cancellations. Why on earth would you partner with unreliable restaurants? Surely not worth the repeat negative connotations. Would love to look at your predictive analytics. Would bet some serious money on high order cancelation stats. Yours sincerely, A hangry customer

Don’t trust their deliverers or their promised delivery time.. I was informed by their “helpful” time prediction feature that I would have my meal delivered to me within 40-60 minutes, whilst I accepted that as an unusually long time for my easily accessible location, I waited patiently only to be informed that 40 minutes after I had made my order the deliverer was JUST leaving to pick up my meal. It then took them another 50 minutes for them to deliver my meal. With such delivery prices that I was paying (even with their weak coupons might I add), I expected at least the promised time efficiency. Another seperate time after having my meal also delayed drastically, I had to chase the deliverer back down my driveway to get a part of the delivery he had even forgotten to give me! Deliveroo severely needs to improve their staff’s efficiency for the price rates they demand. Uninstalled and not going to go back to again.

Didn’t honour discount, then food arrived cold…lucky deliveroo can ‘roosplain’. I have used a few of these apps, but this is the first time I used deliveroo. As a first time user they offered me a $15 off first order…I selected food, applied voucher and ordered (after payment taken I found out I wasn’t eligible for the discount - never explained why, possibly a flatmate ordered from same address??? Not the same person. Living 3km from the restaurant I thought this would be a speedy experience and given the premium you pay (without a discount) for two burgers and a regular chip ($50 with fees etc), I was looking for to my home delivered food. The restaurant was quick and handed over the food…then delivery took 22 mins, I could have jogged to the restaurant faster. Deliveroo were not apologetic about the scam on the voucher, and while they acknowledged the time delay - they refunded $12 (and told me that I could still enjoy my cold food). They wouldn’t explain their refund process, but were happy to ‘roosplain’ to me how I felt…never again will I use them. Although I don’t expect them to survive against the other providers.

terrible experience. i ordered food for the first time on this app and watched the deliverer completely miss my house. He then texted me to ‘cancel’ as food was ‘destroyed’. i watched him go past my house and become stationary not long after, making me think he just took the food home. I then had to wait nearly half an hour before someone came into the live chat function to help out. after getting credit to re-order, i had to wait nearly 2 hours to get food from about 10 minutes away. should’ve just walked but wanted to enjoy my day off. never write bad reviews but in years of using uber eats and months of using door dash i have never dealt with anything like this. there are also slight issues with tracking the driver (big jumps), only being able to tip before the food comes, incomplete menus etc. would highly suggest using alternative apps for this function.

Delete the app. Edit: Today I ordered chicken nuggets from a maccas 5 minute drive away (working late). Expected delivery time? 50 minutes. I’ve been using Deliveroo for a while. It used to be great but, as tends to be the way of things, its prices only go up while service quality goes down. Today I waited almost an hour, with the app telling me that ‘the driver is heading to the restaurant’ and then there were ‘many deliveries being made’ (mine presumably being one of them, in someone’s car waiting on another delivery first) and then it said the driver was ‘waiting at the restaurant’ (??) and finally Deliveroo gave me a call to tell me that the order was cancelled because the restaurant was closed. The app and Google both disagree about that. Bad enough to have cruddy service and my time wasted but I loathe being lied to. Events like today remind me why I stopped my premium service and drifted away from using the app at all. Not recommended unless you like gambling your time for over-priced, delayed and cooled food.

Beyond terrible - DO NOT USE DELIVEROO. We have had so many issues with Deliveroo. We tried numerous times because they appear to be the only delivery app that delivers from our favourite place. Tonight they ran an hour late and then told us the meal was given to the wrong driver and delivered to the wrong address. This is the exact excuse they have used before, using the exact sentence. I would guess it is a script the customer service reps are told to follow. The meals are always late - sometimes 10 mins late sometimes over an hour late but the delivery estimate just keeps getting later and later as you wait for the food. We had to work hard to have the refund credited to our method of payment (a VISA card) rather than our Deliveroo account (which would be useless as we will never be using Deliveroo again). Food turns up cold, drivers are often not from Deliveroo, but rather have Menulog high vis vests. DO NOT USE DELIVEROO!

It’s pointless complaining because no one cares. No driver urgency/priority towards the users experience. Pointless. Cancelling my plus membership and barely going to use moving forward. Might as well just drive myself and get fresh air Some orders are fast but most are super slow. Just want some consistency and quality control from a delivery app. Sheesh Update: decided to order since I was too busy to go get food myself. I ordered from a place 1 suburb away but the Delivery driver picked up my food and then went 4 suburbs away before coming back to me… I asked for a refund and just got $2 back for “delivery”. What’s the point of a $4 service fee and increased prices if it’s going to be this poor service

Lots of functionality needs work. Used Deliveroo instead of Uber to order from a particular restaurant. I accidentally put in the wrong address and realised as the driver was trying to find me. I tried to change the address to help him but it said the “order is in progress” so I couldn’t change it. I went to the chat feature instead, and it said “not available”. The driver was having issues with his phone so could not answer it when I called - not Deliveroo’s fault, but the other functionality should be better. We literally had no option to contact each other and there were no details of what the driver looked like (car or bike, number plate - only his name) to spot each other. Resulted in standing outside waiting for 20 minutes as we both walked back and forth trying to find each other. The GPS was also inaccurate so we were chasing our tails.

Candidly yours. Generally I prefer to use deliveroo over other ‘products’ or the market however have been sorely disappointed on the delivery fee changes of late, with noticeable increased fees alongside my regular restaurants no longer serving my address. Seems that the delivery fee increase and the scope in delivery areas has severely impacted my options. Such a shame really, as these 2 things are impacting my decision to use the platform and place orders of late. Whilst I understand the logic behind the business decision and can appreciate there has been an increase in demand under the ‘COVID’ times we are facing, I for one am disappointed by these changes. I would prefer options for an increase in delivery fees for restaurants that are further away however when you increase the delivery fee AND remove my regular / favorite restaurant options, I’m now looking to other platforms and alternatives to deliveroo. I’d prefer not to, hence finally taking the time to provide feedback, which anyone in a service industry will tell you that no one does so unless they are motivated to do so. My motivation is spelled out and I’m laying it on the ‘table’. Unlike some of my favorite foods, which are no longer gracing my table. Thanks! Don’t bother ordering Belconnen. I thought it would be great to order dinner on Wednesday night & the restaurant used Deliveroo so I placed my order. Tracking told me the meal would be 25-45 minutes away, then came a message the meal had left the restaurant & was on its way so I put our plates in the oven. I read on the app my meal had been delivered about an hour after I ordered it but it hadn’t arrived. I went onto online Deliveroo chat & was told they’d investigate but the rider hadn’t called them to say he had any trouble & then that they wouldn’t redeliver! The ‘chat person’ sent a set wording piece about me getting a refund in 48 hours. I was so frustrated because I had paid in good faith & received nothing on the night & had to get dinner! I rang the restaurant to let them know Deliveroo didn’t deliver (the irony). Poor service when they can allocate to a rider yet not track the delivery- won’t use it again.

OH GOD, WHY ??. Having someone pick up a food order for you and deliver it to your house is a great idea right? Not a complex concept either right? In fact it’s ingenious in it’s simplicity and customer appeal. But there’s a problem and it’s a systemic one. The problem is actually a fatal flaw in the whole business model. These services rely heavily on two things, drivers, often part time second job drivers and the food businesses that we love to order from. But when the driver and / or the food establishment you order from doesn’t give two hoots if you get what you have ordered then you’ve got a pretty massive problem and a very big hole in your business plan. YET AGAIN I ordered food and only part of the order arrived and what really ticks me off is no one at that end gives a stuff! But the damage is not just limited to half my kids not getting the dinner they wanted ( tears, fights, oh god why ???) the damage to the reputation of every business and everyone involved in the simple act of delivering a food order is very real. I mean how hard would it be for someone, anyone, to check that an order is filled properly. The remedy? I got a credit to use against my next order !! THERE ISN’T GOING TO BE A NEXT ORDER!! It’s an expensive, inefficient and poor service.

DON’T USE DELIVEROO EVER!!!. A disgusting company to deal with. They took over an hour and a half to assign a rider to my order, as a result my food sat under a heat lamp and overcooked for over an hour and a half. Before the rider arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order I rang up and cancelled my order with the restaurant and also contacted Deliveroo twice via the app to ask if they can cancel the order and they refused!!! I also asked for a refund and they refused. The food was then delivered to me against my wishes and my card was charged for the order for inedible revolting food. What a disgusting service you have, they keep telling me on social media that they have replied to me but they haven’t. Do yourself a favour and use Uber eats, Menu Log or Door Dash. These other companies are much friendlier to deal with and have impeccable customer service compared to the abomination that is Deliveroo! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Room for improvement. I’m really happy about the options I get on Deliveroo, however I wish there were a few more. It would be helpful if more restaurants offer pictures with their dishes, but I guess that may be the restaurant’s responsibility. Now I’ve noticed a few issues - #1 once I’ve added something to my cart and then leave the page of the restaurant, I can’t go back to my cart. It disappears. Another issue with that is that I can’t find the page of the restaurant after placing an order with it. It just disappears as well and there’s no way to get back to it. Those things need to change because it’s really annoying, especially when I was really excited to order something but all of a sudden I can’t anymore.

DO NOT install this app!. This used to be a quite reasonable app for people like me who rely a lot on food delivery apps. However it went downhill in the last couple of months. there’s almost no restaurant options available. it often shows 4-5 restaurant options while other apps have a wider range available. They DO NOT HAVE DRIVERS to fill their demand what means food sits in the restaurant until cold and the estimated times take at least double the time. Now, customer service ,which was on spot before, seems to be transferred to a call centre which is helpless and settednup in a way for you to not be able to cancel or get a refund (even when your order has been Sitting in the restaurant for almost an hour cold!!) It is a joke!!! Do not install this app! They offer a service they are not able to deliver. Order straight from the restaurant or use DoorDash, better variety and they at least have drivers available.

Left hungry with no money and lied to. Tonight after waiting 2 hours for our food and it being after midnight we were told we could wait for a rider even though there were none in our area or starve as they couldn’t give me my money back immediately or get us our food. So my household had to go to sleep without eating. Both the live chat agent and his supervisor used the same scripted macros to reply to me and the shift manager had the gall to LIE to me about how I could get my live chat transcript - so I don’t even have a copy of it to send to head office. He also claimed to be the highest manager in Australia even though he was just a night shift manager. Absolutely appalling. So I have no food, Deliveroo has my money and we have no compensation or Avenue to even just complain about the support staff so their service will improve. I’ll never use this app again. Stay away from it it’s garbage and should be illegal what they do.

One issue after the next.. I am based in Canberra and have had issue after issue when it comes to deliveroo. On many occasions I’ve had food delivered well beyond the estimated time, up to an hour of additional waiting. On two occasions I’ve had somebody else’s order delivered to me. The first occasion resolution was to wait for deliveroo to credit my account and start the order process again. From my original order to finally receiving the correct meal took nearly 3 hours. On the second occasion I notified deliveroo of the complete wrong order being delivered (the order number and name on the receipt belonging to somebody else and me providing a photo of this to deliveroo) and advised I don’t want a store credit I want a refund as I won’t be using deliveroo again. They’ve done nothing but credit my deliveroo account completely ignoring my request to refund me. I’ve been repeatedly out of pocket, receiving often cold food, incorrect items, missing items, and then other people’s orders. I’ve had drivers claim they cannot find me when I live in a house clearly numbered on a Main Street. Uber eats is the only way I’ll go when it comes to food orders from here on in as I’ve never had these issues with them.

No longer any good at all. Huge service fees additional to delivery fee, and it clearly doesn’t go to making the app any more user friendly. The “order progress” is pointless because it’s never close to accurate, doesn’t show how far away your food is, or even when your food has arrived! Had an order go cold on my doorstep before I found it, and the order progress still hadn’t registered it had been delivered. My credit card never ever works despite speaking to my bank AND writing to Deliveroo. Have to pay using PayPal, which doesn’t show up as a payment option until I make a failed attempt to pay on my credit card, go back to the home page, then back into the checkout and try again, and finally the option is there. There are just too many things wrong with this app to warrant any service fees, and the only reason I’ve kept using it is my favourite restaurant only uses Deliveroo, but I’ll just order pickup now as it’s less hassle and much cheaper. I’ll use a different service for everything else.

Do or die for Deliveroo. As a customer who loves the business and model, it is extremely frustrating to find menus incomplete and bugs in the ordering system that render some items unable to be chosen. It has prevented me from choosing restaurants I love repeatedly, costing them who knows how much business from other customers too. From a business point of view I’ve learnt there is no interface for them to log in and update their menus and that they have to email deliveroo to make changes. Considering the amount of contact I’ve had with restaurants about this I know they have contacted Deliveroo but still their menus remain in shambles. The company really needs to look at employing some type of customer success manager role to maintain these businesses listings and ensure they are getting the return on investment they deserve. As a customer deliveroo can never be a stand-alone app for ordering food as for some things you will need to use Uber or Menulog even at the same restaurants purely because of the issue above. With Uber soon to adopt similar subscription models, if Deliveroo wants to grow both their customer base and client base, this issue needs to be a main priority of some urgency.

Poor service. I used to be a regular client of the app. But recently two bad things happened with the service. One is that it became much more expensive as they now include an extra fee to all orders. The price of the food looks like is also more expensive as they might start taking higher commissions from restaurants. Lastly, my last order was a complete mess. The food arrived cold and with 2 missing items. I spent around 40$ on a cold, incomplete and disappointing meal. It felt so bad and just changed my impression of the Deliveroo brand. The drivers act strange as they call you even before they arrive so you just wait for them at the door… maybe they are pressured with time. the man just gave the order and ran away without even saying hi or goodbye. on top of that I’m sure he made the mistake of delivering the wrong items. Really poor service lately. Won’t order again even though they gave me some credit for the missing items

Use of use. TheApplication it’s not very easy to navigate, it is not but she can be well set up in the sense that things are very hard to find drinks for example it is not particularly clear on what has been put in the order basket, What account the funds are coming out of and it is not particularly clear on the payment options as there are not many options to choose from for example PayPal is not an option, PayPal would have to be one of the most popular and one of the most trusted methods of payment available to everybody in the market right now but I do not see that as an option to make a payment with, this I do not understand and think it is very silly, it also is not due to the disabled friendly, As I have somebody with a disability and I found it very hard to navigate or not particularly easy anyway.

Failed to pick up my order. Failed to pick up my previous ordered as restaurant had shut. My order was placed over an hour prior to closing time of restaurant and was ready to be picked up 30 minutes before the restaurant was to shut. I received an notification saying my order was being picked up 15 minutes prior to the restaurant closing but was then rang 15 minutes after the restaurant closed, 30 minutes from notification that my food had been picked up me telling my food was unable to be picked up as the restaurant was shut. I am only ordering now as I was given a voucher as an apology for leaving me with food.

Glitch on the app (maybe), struggle to follow through the location keyed in to be delivered. It’s probably a glitch on the app, but if you order food to another location while you’re not at the location itself, it won’t get the job done. I was ordering food to be delivered to my friend’s apartment while I’m on my way to the place, and somehow the application decided to assume I wanted food to be delivered to the initial location that I was at. Despite the address I want the good to be delivered is listed initially. The deliver driver wasn’t too helpful either and started to play the blaming game on me. To which, annoyed me further because how would I know the app itself doesn’t know how to follow instructions. All I wanted at that moment is have the order canceled, don’t even care if it’s refundable or not, while regret why did I choose this platform as my food delivery option.

Poor customer service. Exceptionally poor customer service. Driver cancelled the delivery halfway to the destination, had to resubmit and order (luckily made it in time just before the store stopped accepting orders) for the second driver to be exceptionally slow. Over two hours before the food arrived. Had to contact Deliveroo myself the next day to be offered a $20 credit for my next order within 3 months. This was less than 20% of the original order and equates to little more than free delivery and a side on the next order. Hate to sound like a Karen but I have worked in fast food, and if I was dealing directly with the store delivery would have been instantly waived and I would have been offered 50% off the order, if not free. Other similar services have been far more flexible and understanding in dealing with these kinds of issues when they happen.

Watched driver pass me as I’m standing there. Second time I’ve ordered from Deliveroo and definitely the last, had troubles both times. Got a notification that they couldn’t find me so went out the front right in the side of the road and stood there for five minutes waiting. Still nothing. Rang the driver, did not answer. Continued to stand there, got a notifiction that my food was delivered, then proceeded to watch man on a moped drive past me. Called customer support and was told he left my food in the garden. What genius thinks that if they can’t find a house just leave food in a garden?! I live in a drive where the street lights aren’t the best so I purposely turn on every single outdoor light which makes my house light up the entire street so there’s no missing it, every other delivery company can find it easily. On top of the house being lit up I have three signs with my house number on it that light up in the dark. Will stick to Uber eats in the future ✌🏼

DO NOT USE APP. I honestly wish I could give this app 0 stars - the time on every single order is pushed back without any explanation or advising you. Deliveroo gave me a completely different order and provided me with a credit which was fine. Went to use the credit the next day and Deliveroo had blocked my account from ordering anything. Tried to live chat when it was escalated to manager named Kristian who ended the chat once he told me I had to change my password before I could use the credit and my account again. I requested a refund of the money rather than the credit and was blatantly ignored. Still can’t use the credit or my account. I have also previously ordered from a place where the time kept getting pushed back. Fast forward to an hour overdue, I called the shop and was advised that they don’t do Deliveroo and that the shop wasn’t even open (called a mobile number which I’m assuming was the owners direct mobile), moral of the story - DO NOT USE DELIVEROO AS THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY

Terrible.. Placed an order at 10;30, 2 hours later the food hadn’t arrived I try to call the restaurant… but, no answer. I contacted Deliveroo and they tell me they cant refund it but assure me to sit tight and it will be here soon. 1 am I am told the food has arrived. So I walk around outside to check, I check my neighbours doorsteps and porches but nothing. Tired angry and hungry at this point I contact support, they tell me there’s nothing they can do, it’s the restaurant’s problem and I’ll have to wait 72 hours before they even start the refund process. So I call the restaurant’s owners the following day and he tells me they close at 9 and he’s told Deliveroo countless times to adjust his service hours so now I’ve given the restaurant a bad review on the app because of doordash incompetence - additionally after trying to follow this up I have had no compensation , no apology, a 5 day wait for a refund for something I never got and was lied to about. Last but not least when trying to talk to support they continually closed the live chat when I asked them why one of their agents would tell me the food is coming when it wasn’t. Terrible app and service, I’ve never been treated this poorly except by Uber eats. Use doordash their customer service is unbeatable and if I have a problem they always fix it. Sick and tired of these greedy companies, only ones that suffer from this are the customers and the restaurant’s.

Waited 1 hour and a half and had to cancel. Placed my order at 2:15, and my order was expected at 2:50. 2:50 has come and the expected time has now been pushed out. The app was telling me that they were unable to find a rider who could deliver the food, meanwhile my food was ready at the restaurant. I had contacted the restaurant and they could not advise me upon my order as they were also waiting for Deliveroo to find a rider. It is now 3:20 and I called deliveroo myself, which they told me the order would be delivered in the next 20-25 minutes. Keeping in mind that I live 5 minutes from the restaurant but was unable to pick it up myself as I am sick in bed. I demanded a refunded on my order and I will never be using this food delivery company ever again, I will also be informing my friends and family about the poor services this company has presented me with. 1 hour and a half wait on a delivery that is from a local restaurant is a joke, not to mention it is day light. Poor service, very unprofessional. Please do not run a company that you can not uphold. Inconvenienced my day and time.

Don't blame the restaurant for the poor service. Thought I'd give this a try and won't be trying again. I ordered delivery from a restaurant which I know and like. The food order was prepared as ordered and looking at the app was done quickly. The delivery 'service' however was shocking. I tracked the driver via the app and watched as they took nearly 30 minutes to travel the 1km to my home. Getting stuck up a one way street was a highlight. Then not being able to find my house (I live in an obvious and easy to find place well lit with a big number on it - not hard). When the food did get here it was cold and soggy. I asked the driver why so long - they didn't know the area etc etc. I feel for the restaurants in this case - they did everything right to be let down by a driver. As it is definitely not worth the $5 I paid for delivery. I can't see me using this again.

Really bad. I’ve tried to order through Deliveroo about 4 times now and and only once received a successful order. The first two times I placed an order and it was proceeding to process when I received a message saying the stores were closed despite the fact they were listed as open on the app. The third time I successful and received an order on time. The fourth time was a disaster. Everything was going through as usual then I received a message saying the driver was close and then they were waiting out front for me. So I went out front to meet the person who wasn’t there. I tried calling the person the order was assigned to and they said they are at home even when the GPS showed them delivering my order. Then I received a message saying the driver left the order at my front door and I never actually received my order at all. So I had to call and organise a refund. I’d suggest using Menulog as they’re always up to date with opening hours, always reliable and deliver on time or at most times earlier than expected.

Restaurants and menus not updated and supposed available credits missing. Support lacking. I thought I’d give Deliveroo another go after receiving emails offering credits to use the app again. I ordered dinner in advance and waited and waited and waited... the food never came. I eventually rang the restaurant and they said they no longer use Deliveroo and they never received the order even though I had the receipt and all from Deliveroo when I placed the order. I then cancelled the order and the money did get refunded to my account. However it was late and we were “hangry”. I lodged a complaint and got a reply a few days later apologizing for the inconvenience etc and they said they’d extend the voucher credit for 3 months. I go into my account and the voucher credit is not there. I lodge another support email with the case number and another support person said there were no available vouchers to use. This app is not user friendly at all, not up to date and support is lacking.

Not enough drivers to pick up orders so left to sit cold. Ordering my meal at 7:55, i then proceed to be told the estimated arrival is 8:30. It reaches 8:30 and the app is still trying to locate a driver pushing my estimated time later and later. I then contacted customer services and after a 10 minute wait I am told my order will be pushed up the queue and am notified a driver is in the way to the restaurant. Another 10 minutes goes by and the app is now saying locating driver yet again. Living 10 minute drive from Sydney CBD And a 5 minute drive from the restaurant the fact that a driver could not be located is ridiculous. I then contact customer services again and am told the same thing. After a 35 minute wait for a driver to show up at the restaurant with my meal ready to go my order is canceled and I am left with no food. It is now 9:15 and too late to order another meal so I am left without dinner. Going to use Uber eats next time.

Worst ordering experience I have ever had and I have never made such a claim before…. Spent over an hour trying to get the payment to go through and using every single payment option even adding a new credit card only for it to continually fail to even register (buttons would not even work). After any new credit card having it to client being able to flick back to Apple Pay and with some sort of miraculous glitch in the system to allow for me to use Apple Pay with the same credit card to process the payment in order for the order to go through. There’s absolutely no issues with the funds on the credit card or the credit card for that matter. I even attempted to use PayPal which was coming directly from another bank account that’s a regular use and plenty of funds and still had no success. I updated my software on my phone I tried using a desktop. This would have to be one of the worst experiences where technology completely failed across every platform. Perhaps delivery hasn’t heard about hanger………. 1 star!….

This ain’t it. I hate being this person but honestly I’ve had too many poor experiences with this app over the years and i feel a duty to let others know. I started using Deliveroo in 2016 and had negative experiences so stopped using it until recently when I deciders to give it a second go. I feel like I’ve only ever received 1 order within a given timeframe. So many times I’ve placed an order only for there to be no riders available, and instead of them doing the right thing they will literally let you wait for hours and hours just pushing back the expected delivery time and you have to request to cancel and refund - as if I want my order 2.5 hours after I placed it when it’s been searching for a rider for 40mins - it’s completely cold and inedible by this stage! I understand that sometimes these things happen but I have never had this issue with UberEats or door dash - to have it multiple times, YEARS apart with Deliveroo is either suuuuper unlucky or speaks volumes. Do yourself a favour and order via one of the thousands of other delivery apps out there - Deliveroo ain’t it.

I switched from ubereats. I switched from UberEats because their customer service is awful and completely dishonest. But now Deliveroo is delaying simple orders out and out and out and out AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET HOLD OF CS!!! Today we tried to get a lazy coffee and a smoothie in bed on a Sunday. 50metres away. Our local will make it when the driver arrives, takes 2m. But after an hour one driver was heading to restaurant and then canceled and now still waiting for a driver. F this. Can’t even find a way to contact someone at Deliveroo every screen says it’s on time but it is 40mins+ past their scheduled time. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 Willing to bet that restaurants are delaying finishing meals because deliverpoo is taking so long to send riders and riders are canceling when they see food isn’t ready. I really don’t want to go back to the unethical dbags at Uber but kinda stuck atm :(

Very unreliable and inconvenient. I placed my order early to avoid rush hour for dinner orders. While my order was on its way, the rider encountered a problem, so they placed a redelivery for my order. I was informed it would take 20-40 minutes for my order to arrive. It has been an hour and 45 minutes since placing that new order. Customer support wasn't helpful - what can they do, this is not the restaurant's fault and of course my order is not a priority for the establishment. They have other customers who are dining in or picking up take aways. This supposed to be convenient delivery method - I should have just gone to the restaurant myself, dined in or brought home my food, I would be finished eating by now. Unfortunately, this is not the first time nor the second time. I should have learned by now not to use this app.

Absolutely trashy customer service. I ordered from a restaurant and contacted them and my order was already prepared, but Deliveroo’s driver hasn’t shown up until nearly 90 minutes and my whole order took almost 2 hours. Ruined my rest of the day plans and I did not even receive an apology message from the app, so I went to make a complain to point out that there was a mistake there that caused this and it needs to be looked at so that it does not happen again, ai found a message saying that there was a delay in my order and Deliveroo is looking into it and will let me know about the results. It’s been almost 5 days and I haven’t heard anything. I went to ask for credits for this although I really didn’t need them, but I just wanted to see if Deliveroo actually cares about their customers, but nope I got nothing, not even an apology until now. I guess that says it all. If you want to order food, I strongly suggest using other apps that respects their customers, I’ve had so many good experiences on the others apps but this one, it proved to be the worst of them all.

NEVER USE DELIVEROO. First time attempting to order food via Deliveroo, so I decided to signup to the premium subscription. That was my first mistake. Ordered food, waited 2 hours, and the Deliveroo app only stating “waiting for XYZ restaurant to confirm order”. I rang the restaurant myself and they confirmed that they had already confirmed the order via the Deliveroo app at their end, but a driver hadn’t been assigned. After two hours I cancelled the order, and the restaurant is left with food that they need to destroy and no recourse to claim back the costs of destroyed food. Deliveroo have purposely engineered their app to make it look like the restaurant hadn’t accepted the order at my end, and the restaurant are made to think the customer has canceled the order, in order for Deliveroo to exonerate themselves of any responsibility or risk. Dodgy company with a dodgy service platform…..do yourselves a favour and DO NOT USE THEM!

The worst delivery app ever. I ordered food at 8pm today from Dosa Hut in Adelaide. Order no was 9792. The food was ready in the restaurant at 8:30pm. Until 9:30 there was no one pick up the order in the restaurant. No customer service calls picked up. We have been on call for 30min. After then when someone attends says they are looking for riders and will take another 15 min to find the rider and offer is $5 credit. We ordered food worth $60 and it has already been 90min since we ordered and you guys couldn’t figure out one rider. When you do not have enough staff and enough riders to operate a company why don’t you shut rather disappointing customers. Adelaide is literally not a huge city but still you guys couldn’t find a rider for delivery which is hardly within 4km. I would highly recommend upper management to kindly have a look on your basics while establishing such a huge company. Terriblly unsatisfied. Imagine if you were hungry and waiting for your meal since 90min and you couldn’t find a rider to deliver your meal.

Can't upgrade to plus. My housemates and I order food regularly. We wanted to upgrade to Deliveroo plus, pretty much because Deliveroo is our go to option but we occasionally order from other places. Upgrading to plus would mean that we would order more from Deliveroo and save on deliveries in the process. I couldn't find the option to upgrade to plus so I called up support and was told that I'm ineligible without any reason. My conclusion was that there's an A/B test of Deliveroo plus in progress and that I just happen to be in the category that has the plus subscription option disabled. Not having access to plus means that I know of a Deliveroo feature where other users are saving money, and I'm not able to do the same. If there is indeed an A/B test in progress, then fair enough but I think it's also fair enough when a user in A like me sees how good the deal is for those in B and feels sour about Deliveroo as a whole.

Terrible - Long waits and timing never as advertised. If I could give a 0 I would! Second time I’ve used them, first time said 20 mins and was waiting over 90 mins - time kept going up every time it got close and then food was freezing when it came! Said we’d give them a second go this evening because we had been refunded as a result of the first bad experience and now waiting here 30 mins and time keeps going up again... says it was collected 25 mins ago and we live 5 mins away from the restaurant but still no sign of the food!!! Will not be using again! Have never had this issue with Uber eats! Clearly drivers are picking up too many orders and not delivering in a timely manner! So disappointing!

Deliveries are always wrong - Use Uber Eats instead. Over the years I’ve intermittently used this service, but time and time again the orders have always been wrong! First time I thought it was just the restaurant mixing things up. But after using other services (Uber Eats, Menulog, DoorDash) seems to only happen when I order through Deliveroo. And every time I order through Deliveroo. When you go through the process of requesting a refund, they offer you a credit which can take up to 48 hours to process? Or a refund which takes up to 10 days? Not to mention if you select Deliveroo credit that seems to expire after a year? (How is this allowed under ACCC). Don’t bother with Deliveroo if you were expecting your meal to arrive with no headaches. Use Uber Eats instead. And if you’re stupid like me and keep using this service, try doing a credit card chargeback instead of going through Deliveroo’s returns. You’ll get your money back a hell of a lot quicker.

Didn’t get our order TWICE!. Tried to place an order from one restaurant but was called shortly after and told my order had to be cancelled and I would have to try again. I picked another chain and placed an order with them. They had a store nearby that stayed open until midnight (this was at 8:30) so thought that would be fine. I waited over an hour but still my order hadn’t been picked up. I looked more into it and noticed that they had sent my order to the nearby store that is in a shopping centre and was already closed instead of the one that stayed open until midnight! I called to see what was going on and they told me they have no power over which store the order goes to and they don’t know when the stores stay open until (obviously untrue) so they would have to cancel the order. Even though the app still told me that the order was on track to be delivered on time they told me in future I should call 5 mins after placing the order to make sure the store had accepted it. Even though I had waited for 2 hours at this point after placing my order and still had no food they told me there was absolutely nothing they could do (didn’t offer a discount on a future order or anything). Safe to say I won’t be using this service any more. Seems like they just take your money and pretend that eventually they might bring you some food

Don’t order on weekends or when it’s raining. I’ve given this app a few opportunities to prove that it’s as good as it says, but on the nights where you don’t want to cook - Fridays and Saturdays - the app doesn’t work properly. It gets stuck and can’t process your payment details. It also advertises vendors who are no longer supplying due to high demand. You find out that they aren’t taking orders when you place your order, not before. I’m really disappointed in this app. When I have received an order, it’s often been treated badly by the driver/rider and no longer resembles food when it arrives. I’m going back to ordering from vendors directly, or picking it up myself. It’s too much hassle, and vendors hate it anyway because it cuts into their profits. You want good food at your own home? Pick it up yourself - if you think it’s worth the extra trouble.

Very bad. Deliveroo have restaurants and establishments on the app who have cancelled their affiliation with this company. Yet deliveroo are still happy to let you place an order and take your money. If a restaurant cancels their affiliation, the very first thing deliveroo should do is delete that restaurant from their database so it’s no longer available in the app. I ordered last night and ended up having to call the restaurant as the delivery time kept getting pushed back, and they informed me they haven’t used deliveroo for quite some time. By that time, it was quicker for me to go in and pick up my food, and we were eating an hour and a half after deliveroo’s original estimated delivery time. I have now also noticed other places on the app, that I have worked for, who I know for a fact don’t use deliveroo. Will not be using deliveroo ever again and will be deleting the app.

App has amazing features!!. Ordering food is so easy with Deliveroo, all your details are saved and there are many filters available for use to find your ideal restaurant when you don’t even know what you want to eat. I think that the customer service is great, there is a help feature in every order and you can immediately ask for a refund or an update because your order is late, they get back to you super quick, all the things you need are conveniently placed in the app to make your life easier, I will continue to enjoy using Deliveroo as they continue to update and perfect their app constantly!

Disappointment doesn't quite say it. I understand restaurants staff can make mistakes and become unreliable because all they care about is speed when instead it ruins quality. But when Deliveroo's solution is to provide credit on a next order is laughable because it's not a solution at all when you're forcing us to order from you again after you made the mistake - you stuff up and yet we pay for and suffer the consequences - pathetic. Why would we even order again when your business stuffed up and you provide the worst solution ever. When people order for tea they're expecting quality and everything to arrive as ordered so to give a credit of a quarter of what was missing is a joke. It doesn't even cover the disappointment and frustration over a ruined dinner. I won't even start on the cold as food. If you don't know how much the items cost then your business is only going downhill. No wonder everyone ends up at Ubereats - at least they offer decent solutions.

Newbie. First time in UK and driver was extremely polite, food was phenomenal and FRESH & HOT! Defo a fave!!

Awful Customer Service. This has now happened multiple times. I try to place an order and the app tells me it cannot process the order or it just freezes at the ‘processing payment’ stage for 20+ minutes. Since I still need to eat, I go to an app that actually works and order food. I try to cancel my Deliveroo order - which has neither been processed nor paid for and is still frozen - and Deliveroo tells me I can’t. An hour later Deliveroo charges me for the food and delivers my original order. They have refused to give a reimbursement and declined to answer my emails. When I got into a live chat (difficult to do because Deliveroo purposefully does not have enough customer service staff to actually help you), they tell me to email again. The simple fact is this is a company perfectly willing to rip you off.

Better estimated times needed!. It’s a shame for such a good app to almost always provide incorrect estimates. You scroll through to select something based on the delivery time, go through the trouble of putting your order together and when you come to pay, an additional 20-30 mins is added to the delivery time! Quote annoying

UAE delivery quality not as good as it used to be. Deliveries often come with broken boxes, leakages, inedible states. The overall quality of the delivery is horrible now.

Bad delivery experience. The app only provide ways to punish the restaurant but really missing out on the delivery man. I had several times that I never received any phone call from the delivery man and the delivery person claim they made the call, and instead of leaving food at my door they took them away and I got charged anyway. In comparison, I had way better experience in Canada, SkipTheDishes provide a way better experience to their customers, they have ways to penalize the delivery and the restaurant. For my stay in UK, it’s one of those unpleasant things really annoying me, for the sake of your reputation, be aware of this problem.

App is a scam - Charged monthly fee for subscription I don’t have. Title says it all, this app is a scam. When logging into my account I do not have a plus subscription added to my account, yet I am charged a monthly fee. I am unable to cancel my account because of bugs on their app and support is not helpful at all.

Awful user experience. Keeps crashing on search and when it doesn’t crashes on checkout

No option to add details to ordered items. There’s no option to communicate with the kitchen for ordered items. If there’s an allergy or a preference to a particular condiment or ingredient in a dish we can’t ask the kitchen to remove it. So we’re forced to order something else or be unsatisfied with the order. It’s common sense really I don’t see how after operating so long they haven’t included this feature that many other delivery apps have.

No option to add food allergies to orders. Don’t use if you have any food allergies. I ordered gf items (I have celiac), but there’s no ability to add a note saying it’s a severe allergy. The restaurant changed one part of the meal and I spent the evening SO sick as a result. Also, I’ve reached out to deliveroo for a refund and they keep saying they’ll reach out to the restaurant. They said they take allergies seriously, which isn’t true if you can’t notify restaurants of allergies when placing an order. I had also called the restaurant, who’s phone went straight to vm. Now I’m getting the runaround from deliveroo trying to get a refund, just use DoorDash instead. 1000x better customer service and platform.

stole my money. i ordered a drink and i got a call from the delivery guy asking for my address. i clearly told him my address and was waiting outside my door. he said he was there but clearly he was at a wrong address. i called again confirming my address and he said he was waiting there. No one came to the door at all. I then told him to cancel the order since he couldn’t find the address. I was expecting to get a refund to my card but deliveroo didn’t send my money back. so they charged my for a drink that I didn’t even receive. Terrible customer service aswell never using this app again.

Something Italian. That store is a rip off, I paid 10aed for fries and I received approximately 15 singles fries. The fries portion was soo small I literally could estimate that it was less than 20 fries in there. I also paid for shrimp as extra in my pasta for $10 and they only put 2 shrimp in there. RIP OFF

No Commitments to orders. It happened more than once with me, where I order my food and 30 or 40 min later I receive sms stating that restaurant “XYZ” could not fulfil my order!! How does this help me Ms/Mr. Deliveroo? Not even compensating your customers? Don’t you think that such info should be delivered to the customer within 5 minutes of placing order?

Will screw you if they can’t find a driver. Useless app as far as I’m concerned. Ordered food at 10:45pm, was told delivery would be between 11:20 and 11:40, at 11:35 my order was spontaneously cancelled with no other indication of an issue. Customer support told me I will get a refund and immediately left the chat. Don’t use it unless you have a backup option for dinner or you might just end up hungry.

Scammers in the App. Some of the restaurants are Scams and don’t deliver the food, there’s no customer service to speak to about it, better to use other Apps.

Stop the code nonsense. This code nonsense is silly, already annoying on Uber Eats, which I use less because of this. Particularly impractical when self isolating and having to communicate the code through a heavy door.

Rude customer service. The person serving me for an issue I had abruptly ended my chat. Person only gave me a partial refund (like less than 20%) and said I need to end the chat. Not my fault the app timing is not up to date and predicts incorrectly and then further recalibrates incorrect and says it’s on time.

Terrible customer service. The app works just fine, but the customer service could be improved. Why do we pay a service fee when they are unwilling to intervene in case of issues? When the app is faulty and my order goes undelivered for more than an hour and a half, leaving me without food at the close of restaurants, I should be not only refunded but also compensated for the disturbance in my plans. A voucher would hve been a nice token of appreciation, but their customer service is unwilling to resolve the issues their customers face. Ex-customers. Uber eats and Foodora offer much better service.

Incorrect and incomplete products. When you order several products, they don’t arrive or they simply send you what they want, and the worst thing is that they don’t give you your money back.

Terrible experiences. Overall, Deliveroo started out great in Dubai. Over time, the service started to get worse. No one to call regarding orders, and no common courtesy when you deal with staff online. My order is always wrong, spilled, or items are missing. They refuse to take accountability. Never Again. Calling Abdul back rendered no results. My husband and I tagged teamed Nando’s and the front desk by phone, only to find at 2:50 that Abdul had left our food on the sidewalk for nearly 30 minutes. A manager at Nando’s customer service center said that they would not offer a full or partial refund because the food was marked as delivered. We called Deliveroo thereafter and they said that there was nothing they could do either as Nando’s would be the only party able to issue a refund. I’m not sure if this is standard practice, but this lack of customer service and recompense for damages is abhorrent. I’d like to rate the food fairly, but in this instance it was left to get cold then reheated in 27 degree heat (81 F) and was rubbery, wet, limp and lacking flavor. Disgusting. Needless to say we won’t be doing any additional business with either of these vendors as they feel this is an acceptable way to treat paying customers

THE WORST DELIVERY COMPANY - STEALING MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS. Deliveroo is a bad company and I recommend avoiding them if you don’t want to see your money stolen! Very bad service and terrible customer service: I have just seen cancelled my order, and with no reimbursement, under the pretext that the delivery man had waited for too long. “Too long” for Deliveroo is *7 minutes*, and I have the screenshots of the calls from the customer service to prove it. They refused to send the delivery back even if, by their own acknowledgment, he had left 30 seconds before I opened the door. JUST AVOID, they’re thieves!

Can’t use promo codes. Dodgy application. Got sent an invite and use of promo codes for $ off delivery. Tried to register and got numerous errors, then tried to redo it and received errors that I already registered. Never got my discount on delivery. They’re good at taking my money, but not living up to their promotions. Next time I’ll just go pick up. Dodgy.

Prefer Food Panda. It works until it doesn’t, 20% success rate. No customer service options if things go wrong. And 1 out of 5 orders in our last 10 attempts have resulted in errors. Most recently, we ordered Pho where we had no soup. And there was no way to coordinate because restaurant could not act until deliveroo was contacted, and deliveroo had 0 customer service options for contacting them. If I ever had another choice, I would always choose your competitor. Thanks.

Worst delivery application. It was my first time to order from deliveroo and it will definitely will be my last. I ordered and waited for my order 1:30 hrs the delivery personal arrived to the location waited a minute literally and left with my food!!! He didn’t even bother him self to ring the doorbell or give the food to the porter I tried to contact customer service which is horrible and is an automated messaging robot that isn’t helpful at all. This will never happen again because I am deleting deliveroo application such a scam.

Never received order. I ordered a pizza and it said it would be delivered in 20 minutes. I waited 3 hours and finally it said it was being delivered, only to have it be marked “delivered” even though I didn’t receive anything. I requested the order to be redone, only to have an attempted delivery at 3am, eight hours after the initial request. I have been trying to contact the Deliveroo Twitter page to get help but they are completely unresponsive. I will try email and then possibly phone. At this point I just want my money back. I will never use Deliveroo again. Absolutely shameful.

Great but customer service is horrible. The app itself is nice. However the drivers are sometimes lazy and won’t deliver to door, and the customer service will not help. I’ve had instances where drivers will wait in their car for you to come out and collect the food when I live in a building on the 5th floor and they will refuse to even ring the door bell to let you know they are in the area. 90 percent of the time the drivers will deliver no questions asked. I’m done with this app

Be Careful!!!!!!!. They have imaginary restaurants with fake info, fake reviews and fake locations. The weirdest experience ever. I ordered then they withdraw my money and after 2 hours they change the state to “delivered” but surely not to me. when I contact customer services they said the restaurant is closed. They offer to return my money on deliveroo credit I REFUSED as I should. I canceled the order to stop the transaction. But I didn’t stop there I did my research about the restaurant to find out it doesn’t exist. I went to the exact location nothing there nothing online nothing in real. It only exists on deliveroo. BE CAREFUL!!! Btw it was my first & last experience via this app.

Consistent poor customer service. The app consistently glitches, which although a nuisance would be fine. However, customer service is incredibly unhelpful, repeatedly causing me issues. I tried to give them benefit of the doubt, but today they refused to provide a refund for a blatantly incorrect order, refusing to explain why. I will be recommending against people using this app in the future due to their customer service team.

The worst customer service.. I’ve had four orders flubbed recently. Two that just didn’t arrive and two where items were missing. I tried to get the charges taken off my bill and it was quite like pulling teeth with one of the times, the “live chat” helper flat out denied my claim. I wish they’d get their business in order and realize that if you offer a service and accept money for it, that’s not the end of your obligation to the paying customers. I Uber Eats mostly now. It’s at least responsive when help is needed.

You are better off ordering from another app.

Good app, bad service. The app is great and easy to navigate and the service is good as long as you don’t need to cancel or amend your order, which I needed once in 2 years. The quality of the service center and the attitude is way below par and didn’t even consider helping and exited the chat before even thinking about resolving the issue. This is definitely the last time I am ordering and will absolutely cancel my deliveroo plus subscription. It is just a pity to witness a great service go down the drain. Rivals will definitely take over.

Terrible. This was an awful experience. I ordered with this app and was never notified that my food had arrived. They instructed me to speak with the restaurant; however, the restaurant made and sent the food to my location. I was simply never notified by Deliveroo. I was honestly trying to give this the benefit of the doubt and I wanted my issues to be resolved, but the team on the app had no interest in helping me. They only wanted to deflect and put the blame on the restaurant but the restaurant did everything correct. I’m done, deleting the app, I lost 20 euros and 2 hours of my time and I felt the need to comment so that you don’t waste your time and money. Down with Deliveroo!

Terrible service. I called the restaurant twice, one hour after I made my order than 2 hours, they said the order has been ready since an hour but Deliveroo is not coming: terrible service. If I wanted my order cold, I would have gotten it in the afternoon myself.

Disappointed. I was a loyal customer of deliveroo. However i was extremely disappointed on my last order and no refund was offered for my order. I pais full amount of the order plus the service fee to finally get delivered almost 2 jours later an order that is cold. After several minutes with customer service i was offered a 50% refund. Sorry i paid for something that was supposed to be delivered on time and hot. If u cant do that then you refund full amount or you change business and do something else. Sad

Great when it works, terrible when it doesn’t. I’ve used Deliveroo a lot in the past and they get it right more often than they get it wrong. The problem is they don’t always give refunds when they get it wrong. Once ordered two *CASES* of beer and two cans arrived. The driver called to complain, I called to complain. I requested a refund in the formal channels and got rejected. Wrote an angry follow-up email and was ignored. Bottom line, Deliveroo doesn’t guarantee their service so order at your own risk.

Poor support. The app makes it difficult to receive support even when it is nearly always their businesses fault for any issue (though admittedly issues aren't very common). They spend a huge amount of your time to even do anything as simple as refund you for an order you never receive especially later in the evening exactly when you don't have an hour to spend live chatting with support.

Customer service. This is my first review I thought this app with all the hype will have a proper costumer service. I was really disappointed of how I was being treated even though I was already charged for my order. Does not work; does not accept payment. Deliveroo literally does not work. I’ve tried to use their service a dozen times with a dozen different payment methods, I’ve deleted and reopened my account, used web, deleted and reinstalled the app etc, and they decline every single payment method I try. I literally cannot order anything from their service. It’s not my card or bank, it never gets to them, they don’t see any rejected payments. Deliveroo is rejecting them because they are incompetent and their service doesn’t work. So much time pointlessly wasted, will never bother to try again.

Amazing app!. I love the app and use it all the time. I like that I can include a tip for the rider with every order. Great selection of food and great service! SUGGESTION: Please include a FAVORITES tab. It would be great if I can add to favorites my favorite restaurants. Sometimes you like a restaurant, but didn’t order at that time. Very good, but the locations covered are weird.. Everything is excellent in this app, but the areas covered by certain restaurants are really weird!!! I live in Alain, and half of the food & coffee places show up when I pin the roundabout 3 minutes away from my house, but disappear when i pin my house which is really in the middle of the city !

This is the one, don’t look further!. I usually never leave reviews but this time I am beyond satisfied with de service of this app!!! I was able to arrange from the United States a delivery service for my boyfriend that is in Dubai and surprised him for our anniversary. I didn’t need a phone number from de UAE to create an account, that makes the difference with other delivery services. Amazing app, very recommended!!! ❤️👏🏻

Orders never received. Beware if you link to the app from another website and the restaurant is closed it allows you to order and even tells you the restaurant accepts your order then wait for food but when driver shows up there the restaurant is closed. Also they will already of charged your card so they say it will be 15 days for a refund. Customer service doesn’t care to fix the app. I sent several screenshots and explained the situation so they could troubleshoot and they just respond with we can’t find your account then your refund will process in 15 days.

They lie to you. They have one of the worst customer support ever. They will reply, and give you some reasons, only that you’ll realize they are all lies. They usually will blame the restaurant, while you will notice that it is a result of poor assignment of delivery people. Last time I ordered, they cancelled the order after almost half an hour, claiming the restaurant wasn’t able to complete the order. A couple of minutes later, the restaurant calls us, asking if we cancelled the order. They sent our order on Uber Eats. Order at your own risk, if you’re willing to have your order cancelled. Won’t be using again (used in Spain).

Happy with app and service. Very happy with their service so far, as both part of the app and behind the scenes. Far better than the competitors who I've had negative experiences with when push came to shove (e.g. Their apps work but customer service wasn't up to par when I had to call for support). Dont use this! Poor service and deceit customer. The coupon cant be applied. Spent one hour to negotiate with customer service and they kept denying their fault. Instead of issuing refund, they blame customers. They were talking about the terms and conditons which are not shown in the coupon email and treat customers like idiots. Really the worst experience ever! And they sneakily close all restaurants shown in my page so I cant even do a screenshot to prove. So bad the company! If you go to their facebook page under comments, there are similar problems with other users. Dont let this company scrap your money away.

Leila order. Order is late and it takes forever for the person who speaks to me to note the address and my contact - I have ordered 100s of times from leila through Deliveroo and I don’t see a loyalty appreciation from either - even when the food comes sub-par or delayed and I write a lower rating no body even bothers to apologize.

Worst service ever!. Dubai is known with its great customer service, however, my experience with deliveroo was the worst service i ever had to experience in dubai. I was so hungry when I ordered the first time and after an hour i call to check where’s my order they tell me that there’s no order for me! So i order again from another place and after another hour of me waiting impatiently for my food they call me to tell me that the place is no longer taking orders! I am very disappointed and will definitely never use this app again! It does not even deserve one star rating! And plus they were rude.

Urgently needs real reviews and ratings. After about 10 bad meals in Dubai and about $1000 down the drain we wondered why our hit rate of good to bad meals was so low, so we compared the Deliveroo ratings with Google and Yelp. The few good meals also had great ratings on other platforms but the bad ones had bad ratings. Yet ALL had good ratings on Deliveroo. Now we check every restaurants reviews against Google and things are much better. Other than this Deliveroo is great, but honestly it’s a critical flaw, they are shilling food that is just bad, and proven to be so by other platforms.

Another day another Deliveroo fail. Terrible customer service, terrible app, I don’t trust this company. I ordered my food, waited 45 minutes, just to get the order cancelled at the end. My money was refunded but now I am hungry and have to wait for Uber Eats to deliver. To make to worse, the customer service was not helpful at all. Improvements when?. It has been ages and there’s been no improvement the app. Why is there no feature for favoriting or starting you favorite restaurants. It’s such a basic function. Generally on the app it is very difficult to find good restaurants that you want to eat at because the navigation interface is weak and disorganized. You have to first find them on Google and then hope to find them on Deliveroo. Step it up with our tech lads.

DO NOT USE THIS APP. Me and my family used this app to get food being that we just moved into our home and didn’t have groceries. We had been using it for some time with no trouble until today when the guy never delivered the food and it went to the wrong address. I contacted customer care and they told me it was nothing they could and I would have to order again. I explained to him that our address was correct we waited outside and even walked our entire block looking for the car and called him 16 times with no answer!!!! Still they said it was nothing they could do so I will no longer be using this app.

Terrible Customer Service. I was a loyal Deliveroo user until I asked for a refund on an order that was impossible to pickup. Deliveroo listed the restaurant at a location which did not exist, when I contacted them about this the initial representative abruptly ended the chat. The second representative told me that they could not offer me a refund because “most orders are successful.” Mine was not, I did not receive the food and the restaurant does not exist at the location they have listed, if they even exist at all. Coupled with the fact there was a viral news story about how a guy was microwaving food and selling it on Deliveroo as if it were a real restaurant, I would be wary of trusting this app.

Payment options. I’m an American in Australia. Something in Deliveroo’s configurations declines all my delivery payment options: my American CC, PayPal, & my local Australian bank card, regardless or whether I try to order from the app or their web interface … All payment methods work perfectly fine for the same establishments through DoorDash & UberEats … Have to presume Deliveroo just doesn’t want my business. Why bother having your app available in the North American App Store if you won’t accept corollary forms of payment?

Easy to use, no hassle. I’m lazy, that’s why I order food online. So far the Deliveroo app has been nothing but easy to use. Payment process is simple, delivery is super fast esp compared to other options. Most food gets here within 30ish min. I’ve been using Foodpanda for ages but I think Deliveroo one ups them on speed, usability, and service. Good stuff

Unhelpful and rude. I ordered food and the wrong address was on the ticket, I contacted customer service as soon as I realised however they did not talk with the rider. The rider ended up calling me and insisting that I was the one who was incorrect about the address and proceeded to go to the wrong address and getting upset with me and continuously hanging up on me. I contacted customer service 3 times to cancel and get refunded and they insisted that my food will be with me soon but at this time I was uninterested in getting the food I only wanted my money back for this horrible service.

Best food delivery service in Kuwait. I tried other food delivery services but Deliveroo beats them all. Very punctual or your money is back. They deal very responsibly with their staff by not risking their injury during bad weather. They also encourage customers to provide their delivery staff with water during hot weather. Very admirable. I hear from restaurants that dealing with Deliveroo by far is best. Worth doing business with.

Location. Pls help me organize my delivery. Each time I have to add the riders number in my contact list and send a location pin on WhatsApp. Help me receive the delivery smoothly without them calling couple of times. FRAUD ALERT. I cannot get this app to end my membership. I have lost hundreds of dollars and have spent many many frustrating hours attempting to get my membership to end. I have screenshots proving that when I attempt to cancel my membership a message appears saying that “something went wrong. “ Well isn’t that convenient for them that nothing goes wrong when it comes to collecting my money, but when I want to cancel, suddenly everything goes wrong. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT APP.

Simply sad.. Deliveroo started off as benchmark interms of performance and customer satisfaction. My last 6 orders have had something or the other wrong about them. Spilt drinks, cold items mixed with hot, wrong food and 45 minute delays. I have sent a complain each time to highlight my concerns as I want them to improve. NO RESPONSE from deliveroo. They didn’t even bother to reply, let alone to own up and apologise. So I wrote an email out of concern. I’ve been a day 1 customer. Deliveroo replied to me telling me how they “have designed the perfect packaging for the food to stay hot”. Also did not address any other concern and defended something false. Talk about using templates. PATHETIC.

Instructions or comments. Need to add at the end or during your order a comment section! I ordered a sandwich for my husband and choosing cheese was compulsory to submit my order and his allergic to dairy. I was hoping there was an option during check out to clarify “no cheese” because of allergies but this wasn’t available. Need to be more conscious about people’s health.

Customer friendly!!. I’ve used this app many times without any problems. One time the restaurant got my order wrong and gave me an item that was 5€ less than I paid so essentially lost 5€. Deliveroo reimbursed me for the meal quickly which I thought was great. Definitely recommend this app to others!

Horrible. I used deliveroo without a problem for a long time until one day they sent me the complete wrong order (from a place I didn’t even order from), charged me for it, and blamed me (calling me “distracted”) when I asked for a refund. I don’t know why they blamed me for this glitch in the app but I vowed never to use them again since then. Unfortunately it’s one of the only delivery apps around here so I did end up using it again, but ever since then my food takes 2 hours to arrive and gets here cold every time, and customer service stopped responding to me...😡 use another app if you can

Food was never delivered and they charged me. Ordered food from a local restaurant who used their own drivers. The food was never delivered and since the store used their own drivers, Deliveroo had no proof if it was or was not delivered. I contacted deliveroo and they refused to refund me, even after calling the restaurant and confirming it had not been delivered. So that was £30 lost and no dinner after being and extremely loyal customer and using deliveroo at least 3x weekly. They’ve definitely lost my business.

First time. I found the app difficult to use. Could not delete an item from my order and then the screen went blank when I entered in my credit card. Three times. Was not sure if I had placed a triple order. Would have been quicker to go in person! Let’s see if A pizza arrives!

Slow delivery — no customer service. I tried Deliveroo for the first time today in Limerick today and watched as the delivery timeframe ticked up 5 mins by 5 mins with the status showing “restaurant is preparing your order”. I called the restaurant to check and was told that my food had been sitting ready for 30 mins after the scheduled pickup time with no sign of a driver. Clicking on “help with order” produced this helpful message: “ Order help is currently unavailable Sorry, we’re experiencing some issues right now. We’re looking into this, please try again later.”

Lie about attempted delivery, charge anyway,I’m filing a class action. Deliveroo claims to have attmepted delivery to a five star hotel right on Hyde park I’m staying at in London, they are claiming no one was there at9:30 pm. . There’s 24 hour concierge and a front desk and 10s of people present. The hotel says no one came and it’s impossible to Refute that. There’s no food left which obviously shows they lied about attempting. Have others seen this? I’m going to sue them because of the customer support people refusing to address the issue. All I want is my food, but now their arrogance demands that we act against them.

Convenience at a cost. My main complain with them is that they’re not very upfront with you; if you go to any of these restaurants you will notice that their real prices are 5-20% cheaper than what they go for in deliveroo, they then started charging an extra .30 cents for a service change, like the markup already isn’t enough. Other than that, they’re great. What else is there, you pick the food, they bring it.

Horrible Customer Service. They have no idea how to help! I accidentally entered the wrong address and I reached out to them and they said nothing they could do because the order was already placed. So I called the restaurant and they said ok no problem we will contact the rider. They contacted the rider and the rider said ok just have deliveroo update it. I reached back out to to deliveroo and said sorry we can’t give out information to the drivers.... What??? They already have personal information they DELIVER!!
