Looks pretty, but crashes. I had downloaded this app and in the first 60 seconds, it crashed twice. I haven’t even picked out my study yet, but I’m hesitant to plan on the app if this is the norm. The other reviews talking about the app crashing were from years ago, so I thought they would have worked it out. The app looks lovely and seems to have a lot of nice features, but clearly there are behind the scenes tech. issues that need to be resolved to make this a functional app. Too bad because it seems promising and I don’t want to buy the physical books which take up space. Hoping this app improves, but it seems like this is a long-time concern from buyers.

good content, bad app. I love the reading plans SRT has to offer. They are great and the content is amazing. But... the app is terrible. It has problem after problem. I just recently became a subscriber to the daily plans, and did a 14 day plan with no problems. When I finished that plan, I went to download a second, but it didn’t add the reading plan to the “my plans” page. It says it’s downloaded but I can’t access it. Another problem is that it’s not highlighting the scripture when I hit the highlight feature. It will also crash mid ways into my reading and take me to my phones home page. Then have to start the process all over to try to catch up to where I was. I’m sure these are just small bugs that could be fixed, but it’s hard to enjoy the content when the app keeps crashing and won’t let you access everything it has to offer.

Fire your app developer!. I absolutely love She Reads Truth, I have been reading their devotionals since shortly after they started. This review is not a reflection on them as a company but on their app developer. There has been a bug that erases your progress and does not keep track of anything for several months now; and the last update (which was 1 month ago) did not address that bug. Myself and others have complained about this bug multiple times and yet no updates have addressed it. It seems like it should be a relatively easy thing to fix, and it seems like they should be addressing it much faster than what they are. It’s especially frustrating as a paid subscriber to your app. Maybe it’s time to find a new app developer.

Still frustrated with new app. I finally updated to the new app and now wish I didn’t. Yes, the graphics are gorgeous and the content continues to be beautiful, but the usability has suffered. I can no longer read in landscape (horizontal) on the iPad. The app will not allow it. There’s no easy way to get to the next day’s reading and/or it doesn’t sync and keep track of what is read. This means constantly scrolling down every day when the old version would take me directly to the new reading. If I click on today’s date to get the corresponding reading, it takes me to one I’ve already read. I’ve tried restarting both my devices, but the app still doesn’t properly track what I’ve read. Very disappointed.

Great Product & Mission, open to feedback. I’ve used the SRT app for several years now & recommend it often! The devotional plans are well put together and have a variety of content focuses. I adore the mission - women in the word every day. And also recommend the male version for couples. I have just recently updated my review, a few months back here was an update that I didn’t love & it seemed many others agreed... the SRT team went to work fixing the things that weren’t working. I don’t need a Perfect anything, but I am a big fan of a company that listens to feedback! Well done.

Disappointed. I discovered SRT a couple of a years ago, and it was was an answer to prayer — a visually pleasing, spiritually challenging resource to encourage my quiet time — and I used it regularly for a year, highlighting often and taking notes/journaling in the app. Unfortunately the update made it frustrating to use; highlighting and notes no longer work, and the screen view doesn’t work in horizontal mode so that I can use the keyboard on my iPad. This morning when I saw a NEW update available, I was so excited, hoping SRT would work the way it used to. It doesn’t. Still not horizontal. Still unable to highlight or take notes. I waited hopefully over the last year for a functional and user-friendly update. Sadly, it hasn’t come. Scripture reading should be a time of joyful anticipation, but this app only causes frustration. Although I could go to the SRT website and read from there every day, I really prefer a “connected” place to take notes. Sadly, I guess it’s time to find another Bible study app. I wish it had never been updated. Don’t try to fix what isn’t broken.

Love it but liked the version more. So I absolutely love this app and the light of God that it shows. I also love the screen savers but I can’t find them anymore sooo if you took them away pls bring them back. Also, I don’t think that you should make us pay money for the plans as they are an opportunity to help our relationship with the Lord. I get that you have to have a way to make the money back that you are putting in, but still. I never pay money for apps personally bc there are better things to spend it on so I can never use any of the plans. There are plenty of other apps I will probably use instead because it costs money. PLEASE CHANGE

A Bible app I can get into. I love this app in particular because the scriptures offered each day are more than one or two verses and relevant in their grouping, then you can choose to read the application or devotional part, or not. It still marks what you’ve read and makes it easy to catch up if you miss a day or several. None of the studies are so long that you lose interest, and I love that it really does give you something to ponder in life application throughout your day, if you just allow God to speak to you through it. Great job SRT!

Great App that has gotten me in the Word daily!. I found this app several months ago through a friend and have done 5-6 studies at this point. As a working mom of a toddler and infant it has been difficult to find a new rhythm that allows for time with the Lord daily since “quiet time” just isn’t a possibility anymore. This great resource gives a scripture reading, usually both OT and NT passages, and a brief devo and takes 5-10 minutes daily. Its helped me get back into the Word of God (almost) daily during this busy season. I listened to a podcast on Risen Motherhood where the creators of SRT were interviewed and I loved their heart to provide a platform to get women in the Word of God daily- it had done just that for me!

Challenging to Navigate. I downloaded the app because I just purchased the Bible and thought it would be neat to use as a guide along with the various bible studies. I’ve use You Version Bible app for years so its a little difficult for me to adjust to this. I don’t like the idea of having to “mark as read” when completing a daily reading whereas with the Bible app once I complete that reading it automatically updates my activity. I love the Bible and the various bible studies available through this app, I would just like to see a little enhancement with navigating my activity as well as have the option to post my comments with an alias name or just my first name and not my entire name. I hope the app developers will take this into consideration to enhance the navigation.

Nice to look at, lost functionality. This is the first review I’ve ever written and it’s because I feel so strongly about the potential of this app. Sure, the SRT community is still thriving one, allowing members to discuss scripture and reflections, but the functionality seemed to have been sacrificed for aesthetics. Before, I could highlight and take notes right in the app. I could go back and reference my notes easily. Now, I can’t even highlight or bookmark things that stand out to me. Without this function, SRT lost most of its appeal. It’s hard to participate in a discussion about the text if I can’t annotate as a I read. I really enjoyed the app before and I hate to let it go.

Crashes. There are SO many things I love about SRT. I found She Reads Truth in 2020. This was my church when all others in our area were shut down. I couldn’t be more grateful for the place SRT has held these last few years. Most of that time I’ve used the book, app and weekly podcast in conjunction which have been a fabulous blessing. Depending on the pace of life some months I’m just in the physical book, others I’m in the app heavily supplementing with the book. Unfortunately, as others have said the app crashes constantly. The other reviews on the matter/how it behaves are accurate so I won’t wast time parroting my troubleshooting experience. I’ve just now spent my devotional time troubleshooting a crashing app. Time I circumscribed for Jesus has recently been eaten up trying to manage the app. Some days I’ll be 1/2 way through before it crashes, others it won’t work at all. The very thing designed with the intent to draw women in the word daily is the barrier from it. It’s extremely frustrating. I love you She Reads Truth, but the app is completely nonfunctional. If the app worked I’d give you 3.5 stars. Content is fantastic, but there are some areas that are cumbersome & needing a retool.

App Crashes Everytime. Let me start out by saying I love love SRT! So I subscribed to the subscription box and have enjoyed it. However, part of what I love about SRT is the community..the devotions, comments and praying for one another even when we don’t know one another. This isn’t available through the subscription box so I have tried repeatedly to use the app to no avail. I’ve tried everything I can think of but still it crashes right after opening it, crashes while I’m reading or commenting…please please help! Can’t someone find a way to make this work smoothly on iPad? Let me end this with saying thank you Raechel and Amanda for allowing God to use you in making His name known to all the world!!! I love the podcasts too!

Closes on me!. I love SRT studies! Quality work, esthetically pleasing and focused on reading the truth of scripture. But over the last year I have struggle to use their digital studies because of problems with the app. This has been super disappointing and frustrating. Daily, the app closes on me 2-3 times before I can read my study. And over the last week the app won’t stay open long enough to read my study at all! The app won’t even stay open long enough for me to contact SRT to report the issue! Please improve your app. I love your material and what you’re doing. I’ve spent money to buy these studies! But because of the app I have been able to use them. I need your help!

Don’t bother. Why pay for something that you can get for free? I downloaded the app to begin my first study with She Reads Truth only to find out that after purchasing the book, the app to read the daily readings is an additional fee. From the SRT team “they are a separate purchase... because the app is costly to update and maintain”. After spending 20 minutes trying to figure out what is different between the app and website, I found the online reading is exactly the same and it’s free. After already purchasing a book, which is not cheap, you’d think they’d give you free access to the app. Why would anyone pay for access here when the exact same info is available for free on their website? I won’t be purchasing another study with a company who nickel and dimes their customers in the name of a Christian Bible Study.

Love the content miss the old app. As other reviewers have commented, the content that SRT puts out is great. I originally downloaded it ~5 years ago as an alternative to youversion and was really pleased. It ran quickly, the design was beautiful and the devotions were edifying. I was excited when they announced they were launching a redesign but when they rolled it out I was pretty disappointed. It was glitchy and way less intuitive than the old version. When I read the Bible it doesn’t automatically take me back to where I left off. It takes much more navigating to get back to my place in the plan that I’m reading. And the biggest disappointment of all is the organization of my bookmarks and highlighted verses. They’re all lumped together and instead of organized by passages that I’ve highlighted each verse is separated by its own highlight so it takes forever to scroll through and find what I’m looking for. While the update is aesthetically pleasing it feels a little bit like a form over function update and I truly miss the old version even after all this time.

Not saving preferences. Having a lot of trouble with the app consistently switching from my preferred version saved in settings to a different one. It’s really confusing. Multiple times a day I have to go to settings reclick the version (it already says it’s saved) and that resets what I’m reading in the plans to my preferred version. Not sure why it says it’s one thing but doesn’t apply it throughout the whole app without you deselecting over and over. Anyway, at this point I actually use a different Bible app to read….I know pretty bad that I don’t read the Bible in a Bible app due to glitches, but I like their plans and the way the read through the Bible in a year plan is set up. So I reference the app for what scriptures I’m supposed to read for the plan then back out and go to my other Bible app or my actual Bible to do the reading. So it still sort of works, just wish that glitch was fixed. They’ve fixed past glitches before though so here’s hoping!

The problems with the app distract from the studies. I think it’s a little silly to ask people to pay for the app, but make the exact same devotionals available online/in your email for free. However, I like being able to go through all the different plans I have downloaded on the app and read more than one at a time. I also like that I can go back to plans I’ve finished and reread specific devotionals. However, (and I know lots of people have said this!) I wish that they would make an option to favorite a specific day’s reading and devotional...that way if I’m looking for one I loved, but don’t remember which day it was from, I can go to my favorites and see them all. Also, this app drives me insane sometimes with its weird glitches...I was almost through a study and it suddenly no longer showed that I’d read the first 15 days of the study. It didn’t have them marked as completed anymore. And the “tap to share” doesn’t work. Ever. So as much as I love the devotionals, I think I’m either going to have to switch to using the website, or find a different app.

Getting better. Still buggy.. UPDATE: So glad the ‘mark as read’ feature is working after the last update. The issue I’m now having is with the ‘daily study reminder.’ I have it set for 8am because that’s when I sit down for my quiet time. The problem is that I get the reminder multiple times a day. 8am. 9am. 10am. 3pm. Etc...& they aren’t the 1st reminder popping back up. I’ll clear the 1st reminder & new ones pop up at odd hours. The badge reminder icon also shows a ‘1’ each time this happens. I’ve tried disabling and setting a new time, but it didn’t help. I finally just had to turn off notifications for SRT. Also, I am unable to leave comments. Or more correctly, they don’t actually post. I can type a comment or reply, but when I hit submit they just disappear. I thought there was a slight delay at first, but my comments just end up getting lost & never actually post.

Good Content, But App Needs Work. This app is my go-to for daily devotions during my long commute hours, and the content is SO good. Not only am I able to read through multiple plans at once, but they’re also easy to read and reflect on. Love the lock screens as well! The biggest annoyance for me is that the “mark as read” buttons don’t stick, and I’m constantly going back in to mark it as read and keep my place. Because of this, I am also unable to move any of my completed plans (at least 4 of them) into the “completed” category which means that I have to scroll through all of the different plans to get to the plan I’m currently reading. I’m not sure if there’s a way to delete plans that I’ve downloaded, but even that would be helpful in this situation to reduce the large # of “pending” plans in my queue. Are there a solutions to these issues that I’m missing? That would greatly appreciated if there were!

The new update needs updating. I originally got SRT so I could have a Bible on my phone and I was curious about the women of the word study. I have definitely been challenged and encouraged by the studies and it’s convenient to have the Bible there to switch back and forth too. However with the new update it is more discouraging and frustrating rather than uplifting. You can no longer just read the Bible on the app. If you want to go to the next chapter you have to go back, click the book, then the next chapter. It’s not helpful and makes it easy to be distracted. I think great things can happen and have happened through SRT but right now it not being user friendly defeats the purpose of what it was originally intended.

The new update is really disappointing. I’ve had the She Reads Truth app for almost two years. I loved the old layout of having the most recent plan at the top where I could easily access it. Whatever plan you read last used to be so easy to jump right back into the next day. With the new overhaul and the big update from last month, not only is the app really slow and glitchy, but the plan I read most recently is one of the oldest (bible in a year) they wrote, and therefore at the bottom of all the reading plans I’ve purchased with and it opens with day one at the top. Right now I’m on day 5, but come day 250 of the plan, it will be frustrating to scroll past a slow and glitchy list to find the day that I’m on. The old version kept your place an made it so convenient to start right where you left off. I also wish you could personalize the front page to the plan you’re working through as opposed to whatever SRT wants you to buy in that moment, but I understand the marketing of that one. With all the Bible apps out there, it might be time to switch - which is so disappointing.

New version is not user friendly. I have been using She Reads Truth for a few years and I love the Bible plans, lock screens, and community. I even own the She Reads Truth book by Amanda and Raechel as well as the SRT Bible. But the new app is so completely not user friendly that I’m tempted to stop using SRT completely! I feel like the developers went for aesthetic instead of functionality. I’d like to see an app that combines both. I hate how to get to your current plan (if it’s not the one everyone is currently doing together) you have to click through a couple screens and scroll. I also think the homepage is very scattered and doesn’t make any sense logically. Finally, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change my profile picture! I even Googled it and looked at the SRT FAQ and found nothing. The picture that’s up is from six years ago and I would love to change it! I also hate that there is no way to update your email address (the one attached to my account is not current) and I hate that you have to put in a last name (For privacy, I don’t want all my comments to show my first and last name). All in all I love what the brand is doing and I believe in the ministry and message of SRT, but this app itself is terrible.

Love The Study Books The Not So Much. I would love to love the app as much as I enjoy the physical study books but it’s been 3 years and we’re still complaining about app crashes. I like to use the app to access the devotions to pair with the study book and I use it as my bible at church (when it doesn’t crash). I’ve heard it crash 4 times in the span of 30 minutes and not allow me to even get past the opening screen of the plan I’m in. Kind of makes me disappointed as I LOVE SRT and have been recommending it to my family and friends but the app has great things but is lacking user functionality.

Great product- Horrible update. I love SRT. There was a time when I would use it daily. But sadly, that just isn’t the case anymore. First: let me say that I completely understand the need for changes and updates to an app. That’s totally fine. I think it is perfectly okay to change the look and feel of an app if it works better for functionality or for the ease of the user. Sure, it takes a bit to get used to a new layout, but that’s kosher. This update does not seem to the case of change for functionality. Instead, it seemed to have tried to make it look prettier and more streamlined without making it any easier to use. If anything, it’s more complicated. I can’t seem to find anything or change my information. I keep hearing rumblings of a part of the app that plays music but I can’t find it (it was mentioned in the Hymn devos a few times). If that part of the app is no longer available, that’s fine but why keep it in the devos? Nothing seems to work properly and I kind of stopped using the app because of it. Which is honestly a shame. Listen: if you can get past the issues with the app itself, the product is pretty awesome...but honestly, how sad is it to have to say that? I think the app needs a rehaul or, at the very least, to be tweaked to be more user friendly. I love SRT and would love to start using the app again!

Love SRT; app a little clunky. I love SRT, and appreciate the truly quality content they produce. As for the app itself, it needs a bit of improvement! For some reason, when you mark a day as read, it just doesn’t stick. Everyday I have to go in and re-swipe a few days, which can make it confusing if you missed a day or two to find your place. It’s also just a little clunky when you’re done reading to get back to the reading plan main screen. It could just be improved. But overall, the content is what matters most, and I’m glad to support the team. I’m sure they’re always looking to make things the best they can be!

Dark Mode Please. I love SRT and the app is pretty good, though it has some quirks. Most noticeable, I often am reading at night and I very much dislike that the screen is so white and bright! Sometimes it seems so bad, I’d just rather not use the app at all. I need a dark mode! It would make using the app much more pleasant and less harsh on my eyes. Thank you! I would love if on the homepage, the app kept up with where I am in the study instead of the current day. If I’m behind, I have to do more swiping and clicking and futzing around than I think is necessary. It knows what I’ve read and where I’m at, why wouldn’t it suggest to me to start where I left off? I also would appreciate an audio option for the scriptures.

Good app, but has bugs. I love the sleek design of the app, and how we can highlight parts of scripture, however, the notes function can be improved. When I delete a note, it would be helpful if whenever I clicked on a verse to create a new note, that the verses I had selected before are not automatically added again. It is frustrating, and seemingly un-fixable. For example, I created a note by accident using Romans 5:1 and 5:3, but now when I select Romans 5:1 to create a new note, Romans 5:3 is automatically added on, without my selecting it, and I can’t remove it. Please make it so that verses aren’t automatically added on from my previous notes. Also, this issue would not have arisen if it were possible to remove verses while creating a note. Thank you.

Better, but still needs work. Edit 2: please fix the Bible app crashing 😔 Edit: with the most recent update I’m unable to open the Bible portion of the app. It crashes. 😔 Thank you for hearing the suggestions of bringing back the swipe to read different chapters and multi-select tool to mark readings as read! The problem now with the most recent update is that “read” readings don’t transfer between devices. Sometimes I read on my phone, sometimes I read on my iPad, and now when I go to one or the other it’s hard to keep up with what’s been read and what hasn’t... Also along with swiping to change chapters, it would be nice to be able to switch from chapters through the quick search. So if I’m in Psalm 23 and I want to go to Psalm 72 I don’t have to click Psalms again then click the chapter I want.. I could just click the chapter if that makes sense. I’d also love to one day be able to have my notes in my margins/be able to write in the margins with my Apple Pencil instead of having a separate place for my notes... I know that’s a lot of requests, and probably not easily doable, just some thoughts. Thank you for all you do!

Getting worse?😔. I’ve overlooked the glitches for several years but now having to swipe through explanatory information every time you open the app isn’t going to work. Between this, the messaging system, other glitches in lacking readings for the day, or not getting a reading until the following day, I t’s getting to the point where it’s not worth the time to use. It’s such a great idea and service, I think people use it and love it and “deal” with the issues, but it’s less and less worth dealing with. Everyone is better off using the website and moving app staff time and money to some other portion of the organization.

Disappointed. I've been using this app for about a year and started the Bible in a year plan about 3 months ago when a few days ago my phone updated to the newest version of SRT. Although I restored all my downloaded plans the new version didn't keep the place where I left off, luckily I write it down each day but that didn't help either. Next to the number of day it just says "Bible in a Year: #day" it doesn't state the reading for that day which seems pointless. The other thing is that it crashes within about 90 seconds of opening so I can't even find the place I left off. When I open the days of the area I left off at, the daily readings are totally different than what I read the first time. So I'm guessing the app changed the readings which were previously assigned to those days :/ Hope these issues get resolved quickly.

Perfection. A lot of the reviews are from users who had the app before it updated. I’ve had it for about a week now(apparently since it updated again per the version section) and I LOVE everything about it. I actually signed up for their (super cheap) subscription plan to have access to all the plans. It’s perfect for me. It’s got a touch of femininity to it which I prefer. I enjoy having reading plans that are geared towards women. And don’t don’t worry! They have your boyfriends, husbands, dads, brothers, etc covered with a he reads truth app! My husband just started using it himself. Don’t let the other reviews scare you off, this app is wonderful!

Please add audio option!. I love my subscription box and all of the books! The content of SRT is amazing and I love having a plan to know what to read every day and the accountability of staying on track. I don’t use the app that much though, but I would use it every day if there were an audio Bible option! I would love to listen to the day’s readings, which I could do in another Bible app for plans that are on one book of the Bible, but it is impossible to do with topical plans since the readings jump around so much. As a mom of 2 young children, being able to listen to the Bible allows me to engage more with Scripture, and I wish I could pair that with my SRT studies!

App has problems. She Reads Truth is a wonderful service, but the app has, for me, been going from bad to worse. It worked OK for me at first, although being an iPhone app it forces me to turn my iPad on its side. After finishing the Titus study, however, it began to prompt me to continue with the study after I had completed it. I found that several days were not marked as completed, and I marked them complete again, and it has continued to prompt to this day. Over the last week or so, however, it has failed to record any day from the current (Judges) study as complete. I tried logging off and back on, and now it will not let me even log on. The app is, as we say in the software business (I am a retired developer), “toast.” I will delete it and see if re-installing helps, but work is needed here. Perhaps it is incompatible with the iPad or iPad Pro?

This app is so terrible ):. I want to love this app so much and want to use it but it’s so terrible and buggy! I do not recommend this app at all because it’ll make your devotional time so frustrating, and that is absolutely not what you want for your time with the Lord. here are some of my main issues: 1) the plans section won’t work occasionally. I will try to click down towards the plans and it won’t work so I have to use the manual Bible instead of everything being easily set in the plans. 2) the actual Bible section doesn’t work. I will click on a book of the Bible and the chapter and it will not lead me to that actual chapter! it will go to the chapter before or after. this is the most simple part of a Bible app, yet it doesn’t work?! 3) no dark mode options in plans. SheReadsTruth, PLEASE spend time fixing this app. it’s awful. ):

Unable to read without WiFi connect!. This makes the app honestly pointless. I spend the money, purchase the plans yet cannot read off line. I live in the city and my daily commute is the train and that’s my quiet time but ever since this new update I cannot read my plans anymore without WiFi connection, even if I want to use my data the plans will not work without an actual WiFi connection!!! Purchasing these plans should be like E-books and it’s frustrating. I can’t get my daily morning commute read to work or on the go and it makes me so sad. I no longer want to purchase additional plans because I cannot use whenever I want. The odd app allowed all of this, please bring the option back. In all honesty, the old app was much better, simple, to the point and easy to maneuver. There’s just way to much unnecessary steps to get to certain books of the Bible and etc.

It's okay but. It still needs work. I had written a review saying how I was having trouble with the daily reminder setting staying on and that it would work for that day but then I would have to keep on turning it back on the next day or so. Now I'm noticing that with the Bible I have to keep on changing the translation from ESV to CSB everytime I switch to the Bible tab. I don't mind ESV version, in fact it's the translation I was using before I discovered the CSB translation when I bought the She Reads Bible back in January. That's also when I discovered She Reads Truth. I like She Reads Truth but the app needs to be fixed. Right now I'm just using it for the study plans.

Great App idea, But.....It run’s Horrible!!!. I’m giving this app 1 stars. A few month’s ago I got my “She Read’s Truth” bible & I love it. I think it was something amazingly made. And I remember thinking I wonder if there is an App I can download for this bible or sort of like if I’m out & i don’t have my bible i’ll at least have the app. While I do like the App I think it’s neat & a great idea, It just runs horribly bad. I wish it would get fixed. If it got fixed I would definitely use it. Like I said I love the Bible I got by them. I was having trouble understanding my original bible “King James version” the “She Reads Truth” bible helps you to understand what your reading easier. P.s. And it has Art all through out it. The She Reads Truth bible makes it So you can actually apply it to your life. It helps me to understand what I’m reading unlike my other bible. When I try to log In it kicks me off the app. I have it downloaded but it’s useless because I can’t even use the app. And when you eventually get it to work it just constantly kicks you off. I’m not to sure what else was wrong with it. I couldn’t remember because it has been a few months since I used it. I really hope it get’s fixed because I would use this app. Because of it not working I would give it at the moment 0 Stars. Please fix it this app is amazing & I would love to be able to use it. Thanks!

App constantly crashes. I absolutely love everything about SRT. Except the app. I’ve tried so hard for years to love it, but it’s gotten to the point where I can’t use it even if I wanted to. I have the SRT Bible and will occasionally purchase the physical study books, but those are way too pricey to purchase regularly. So I pay the small monthly subscription to use the app and it still doesn’t work. I’ve recommended this app to so many friends who are desperate for time in the word, but now I see why this app wasn’t feasible for them. I have tried to get in touch with them for weeks about the crashing problem, but there seems to be no other way to communicate the issues other than leaving a review. Now I know I’m not the only one with this problem! Very disappointing. Hopefully these reviews start to make a difference soon!

Love SRT but the app is disappointing. I want to start by saying that this is a review for the app not the company. I used to love the She Reads Truth App. I used it everyday and would recommend it to all of my friends. However, ever since the update I have not been happy with the new app and have had nothing but problems trying to use it. While I understand the need to grow and develop as the user base grew, I unfortunately have had a hard time using the updates. My app crashes constantly, it won’t pull up the devotional for the day or if it does it takes forever for it to load. It won’t register when I mark a day as complete and on multiple occasions it has deleted all my progress. I love this company and everything it stands for and still follow along online and with my SRT bible. I just wish the app wasn’t had problematic as it is. I love some of the new features like that I can now subscribe to the plans on a monthly basis but I really do miss the feature that showed you what plan you were working on or opened last. I get that grow is necessary but I am ultimately disappointed.

I do not like the new app. Edit: some bugs seem to be worked out. The content and presentation of SRT continue to be INCREDIBLE. Still don’t prefer the new app, but it’s better than when it was first rolled out. I love She Reads Truth and have had the app and plans for 3 years now. I am very disappointed with the app overhaul and update. It is very difficult to use the app. It’s constantly buggy. It never has my previous day’s reading correct. I really liked in the old app that there was a place to jump straight to the current day’s reading. If there’s a way to do that from the home page of the app, it’s not obvious to me. I also hate that my plans are listed in alphabetical order instead of most recently opened. That’s not helpful. At least give me an easy way to toggle between views so I can use the one most helpful to me. I also cannot stand that now, after I click “read” after reading the scripture passage, it doesn’t stay marked “read.” If I go back to the verses after looking at the devo, it will unmark the reading as read for me. That’s so frustrating. Why was so much functionality removed and changed from the old app? What is the reason for it? Again. I love the content of SRT. I love the studies. I love the aesthetic (though not so much of this new app—it’s too harsh for me—but if that’s what you want then it’s fine). It’s very confusing to me why the app was changed so much, taking away good functionality and maneuvering.

Not as good anymore. I got this app in January last year just for the Bible in a year feature. I would guess that many women start using this app for the same reason. One of the beautiful things about the way the reading was set up was the discussion that happened on each day’s reading. As I read the Bible during the year, I saw many women join in, even if they were reading their first day on March 14 or July 21. With the new setup (numbered readings instead of dates), that kind of community is lost. I started with the daily reading and have since purchased several of the plans. Honestly, with the changes, I’m not sure I would still have chosen SRT for my daily reading app. I’m sure a lot of time and energy went into making the new version of the app. But slicker and prettier is not always better. I think it is less user-friendly now, and that’s not a good thing. I don’t need a fancy experience, just a solid source for Bible readings. I think you’ve definitely lost something with the new version.

Bible Crashes. I love this app, I have been using it for years now. The studies are wonderful and since we do a lot of traveling it is great to have my Bible and my devotionals all in one place. However, lately it hasn’t been as convenient. The Bible reading portion of the app crashes. The in-study bible readings still work fine, but each time I click on the Bible to go look up scripture the entire app crashes. I don’t usually leave reviews for small bugs, because they usually get fixed on their own pretty quick. This one has been going on for a couple months now though. It isn’t very good for a bible app to have a crashing bible! Please fix this soon!

But like why does this app not work?. I got the SRT bible for Christmas and love it! I downloaded the app at the beginning of the year and never had any issues. I really enjoyed the devotions and community as well as the lock screen. I decided to subscribe to the study plans and now every time I go to read one it says I actually don’t have any of them and I always get the preview of day one. I’ve tried the app restore feature and get an error message. I even deleted the app, downloaded it again and now... IT WONT EVEN LET ME LOG IN. I’ve changed my password multiple times and I get an error message every time. I’m not sure what’s going on with this app but I would highly suggest working on an update. I can’t even use it. 😕

A little hard to navigate and failure to store progress.. First, I love SRT, so even the few bugs currently in the app would not turn me away from joining and being a part of any of the plans. They are enlightening, enriching, and help me to consider so much about who God is vs who I say God is based on my personalized filters. I still have the daily email devotionals sent straight to my email inbox, so I have a back up plan in store. The app I would say is not as intuitive as it could be. I often find myself just pressing icons/tabs hoping that what I want is found there. So maybe a way to make the icons communicate more effectively what content is coupled to them would be helpful. Also for several plans now, my progress continues to be undone, so even though I have completed plans the undoing of all that I have read keeps the plan under the currently reading section. So if the bug around keeping track of progress without undoing can be reconciled that would be great. You ladies are awesome and I love how you pour out so much and take great lengths to edify such a vast community of women!! You are a mighty throng!

A Big Help. I've been using this app for almost a year now and it has greatly improved my life. I really enjoy the devotionals, the community, and all the beautiful touches that go into making it a gorgeous user experience. I don't mind paying a couple of dollars for weeks worth of content. I believe people should be paid for their work. So I'm happy my money goes to the people who curate each study, the people who write the devotionals, the people who design everything so beautifully, to the tech team who is responsible for keeping everything up to date. For the price of a cup of coffee, I get so so much out of the study plans. SRT has seen me through some dark times. For me, it's been completely worth it and I'm really happy to have this app in my life.

Bad update. I have put off publishing this review trying to get used to the new update, and I have really tried to love it for many months but it is not good. It makes the app a lot harder to use. It is harder to find my devotional so am in the middle of. Many times it crashes in the middle of using it. The old app used to load in a split second, often times this takes half a minute to what the old one would load in a second. The new update doesn’t seem to keep track of what I have already read in the devotional. I will tap mark to read and it will show as marked and then most times when I enter back into the app at a different time that marking will be gone. It is just really a bummer that an app I used to love now I don’t use as much because the functionality is very frustrating. I just wish the app returned to functionality and usability over now what seems to be an over emphasis on design

Latest update has changed the words in the KJV. I used to absolutely love this app and used it every day. I agree with other reviewiers that when the developers upgraded the app a few years ago to make it prettier, the app lost a lot of it great functionality. Still, I stuck with it because years of my notes were in the app and at least I could get several versions of the Bible while off-line and in church. However, today, while on my iPad, I noticed that the KJV of several scriptures is missing words and combining words together. (I.e., Psalm 144). The verse numbers also now appear at the end of each sentence, which is incredibly odd. It is one thing for all of the extras in the app to be a disappointment. It’s another thing when I can’t trust the Word I am reading. Sadly, I have used this app for the last time.

Bringing my husband and I together!. Since we have gotten married we have had a deep desire to read and pray together consistently but everything we tried just didn’t work! It either catered to one of us and not the other or we just couldn’t decide what book of the Bible to do or..... whatever! But we started at he beginning of this summer with the He Reads Truth and She Reads Truth books on Matthew and are now doing Hymns of Hope together. Having a set plan and reading the word of God together has now become a habit! We love it!!! The app is beautiful to look at and easy to navigate. Thank you!

Favorite App!. I like this App soo much, I was shocked to see people giving it under 5 stars. Being a part of She Reads Truth (both the app and the books) has brought and incredible amount of healing and strength back into my life. The imagery of beautiful and the App is easy to use and uncomplicated. This is easily my favorite Bible app, and I highly recommend any and all products that SheReadsTruth creates! One of my favorite features are the weekly Scripture memory lock-screens. Such a brilliant idea and always a lovely daily reminder.

I WOULDN’T WANT ANYTHING ELSE!. I could not imagine a better way to read the Bible than on this app! I have a She Reads Truth hard-copy Bible and the app and they are both so refreshing and beautiful to read. They are easy to understand and really help you grasp what Our Saviour is trying to tell us regardless of who you. I have recommended the app to so many young women that I work with and they have downloaded it too! This is the only Bible app that a young, growing Christian woman needs!!!

Deteriorating user experience. I have used this app for years and never had an issue (hence my higher star rating) but the latest updates have made for a poor user experience. It is annoying to swipe 4 or 5 times through the intro on how to use the app each time I open it. Can you please put an X in the top corner so we at least have the option to close the tutorial immediately? Also, after swiping through the tedious instructions the Bible doesn’t actually work. Also, while I’m here - I didn’t love the pop up banners advertising Bible plan sales either. I understand you need to sell things to keep sustaining the development and maintenance of this app but it felt very cheap - like those pop up ads on free mobile games, which was quite unpleasant to experience during my daily quiet times.

It works!! No bugs, no gimmicks.. Unlike so many other apps I've on the market, She Reads Truth delivers exactly what it sets out to: access to the full bible in a number of different translations plus a huge number of well-written devotionals AND connection with other like minded women. No bugs. No adverts. No gimmicks. I actually, legitimately love it.

Lacking versatility. I love the minimalism and aesthetic of this app and it works well on iPhone as a regular Bible reading app. However, as an iPad user, it doesn’t allow for landscape viewing/split screen viewing, which makes typing notes more inefficient and tedious. Would recommend as an iPhone app but not so much as an iPad app. Hope to see some improvements on the app this year!

Won’t let me login.... I absolutely loved this app when I first started using it, but after this new update it won’t let me login and says the password/email is incorrect when it actually is correct. What is going on? Please fix this as I have several plans on the go. Thank you.

Amazing. Love this app. Beautiful lock screens included, amazing reading plans, easy to use. Very community driven and easy for women to interact with all over the world. Very well thought out and incredible.

Keeps crashing. I love love love this app and have been using it for years but in the last few weeks every time I try to open it, it crashes within 10 seconds. So disappointed. Can you please fix?

App Problems. For some reason my She Reads Truth app won’t open any reading plans. Every time I try to open a plan, a message appears stating “network error” and “there was an error proceeding, please check your connection and try again”. I have a full connection and have paid all the monthly subscriptions but can never get it to work.

New update blows. I loves she reads truth and used it daily but since the latest update it is always to use and doesn't keep my spot. It's such a shame

What happened!. I love this app, but I've just updated with the latest and now it refuses to open! Please fix it :) God bless you all, I shall miss it.

Great, but there is no way to sync notes. This app is amazing, with beautiful design and interface. Unfortunately, I can't sync my notes between devices which is rather frustrating. Sorry to have to delete this app because I can't sync my notes. Otherwise, it's most possibly the best Bible app for women.

Bug issue. Have used and love this app for years. But lately every time I go to open up the bible and move to a new passage it crashes! The latest update still hasn’t solved this issue!

Get this app. Finally a devotional app that is deep and relevant. Tell all your girlfriends to get this app 🙌🏻🙌🏻

She Reads Truth is eye opening. I love using She Reads Truth. It has all the features a young woman needs in order to know who God is and experience Him more. I give 5 stars because She Reads Truth is without doubt eye opening.

Does not function well. This app is great when it works. Sometimes the plans don’t open. Sometimes the bible crashes when you try and open it. As of late some of the verses have been duplicating multiple times. The highlighter function does not work most of the time. However, the devotionals & plans are well written and put together

Love this app. Only got a couple issues hymns 2 day 2 will not open so cannot be completed! And would be nice to have a sorting option for the highlighted list! Maybe also a colour changing option for the highlights too!

It’s ok. Aesthetically pleasing, sure. Nice choice of Bible reading plans, sure. But there are entire passages missing from books, verses that have grammatical errors and plans that don’t open correctly or present in a timeline. I’m not sure how this keeps having updates & yet, none of these issues are resolved.

Wonderful. Before I found She Reads Truth, I had been looking for a paper devotional to read and hadn't had a lot of success. A lot of devotionals I found either were light on with scripture or the devotional was completely unrelated to the readings. She Reads Truth has been wonderful - the scripture passages are substantial enough to give you things to dig into and think about yet not so much that it overloads your brain with too many ideas. The devotionals are well written, relevant, and relate directly to the scriptures for each day. I love that I can continue to buy the different plans so that I can keep learning more about God and his word once each plan finishes and I especially love the way relevant passages from both the old and new testaments are chosen to put each in context of the bigger picture of God's plan.

Costly. I love She Reads Truth But I don't understand the purpose of this app when you have to purchase the devotion plans yet they're free on the website?

Still cumbersome. The daily readings STILL take FOREVER to load and they don’t track my progress. The app is helpful for reading and devotions but it’s just too cumbersome. It is slow, not intuitive, and there are a lot of glitches. Needs a SERIOUS update. Too bad because I used to thoroughly enjoy this app. Not enough time is spent on the app itself.

Constantly shutting down. I love the content but can never get through it. I’ve reached out and it was suggested I delete and reload the app. This doesn’t work. I have not been able to read the scripture or complete any study because an unexpected error occurs every time I use it. Please fix it! And make it more intuitive for using and scrolling through studies. The content and concept is fabulous, but I can’t enjoy it.

RN. The new update deleted my progress in the bible in a year plan. The new bible in a year is hard to navigate, I liked the old way it was layed out with the months instead of 365 days and having to scroll all the way to the bottom for December readings. The app also quits unexpectedly every time I try to use it.

Glitches all of the time. I’d love this app if it worked most of the time. Currently, it won’t even open. I don’t mind that the plans are paid but I have had some plans never open and crash every time I try. The plans are aesthetically pleasing however there are other Bible apps that won’t crash.

Pretty and a good concept, but ugh the bugs!. I want to love this app, and I don’t even mind paying a bit for the plans, etc. But this app is pretty buggy, and recently it’s stopped tracking progress - so I can never remember where I am in a reading plan! Also I can’t figure out how to mark an entire reading plan as complete, which is kind of annoying. Considering the time clearly put into style, put some more work into the background please!

iPad app should be formatted as such. App is overall good. Giving it four stars, because it’s not so great on the iPad format wise. It’s perfect on the phone app, but reading it on the phone isn’t terribly comfortable, considering the size. I’ve ended up just opening safari and reading it there on my iPad.

Girls…run DONT walk. This is so cute and amazing. As someone who was never in a true relationship with the Lord, this app has gotten me to understand so much that I could have never interpreted myself. I even bought the Ashe Reads Truth Bible and I’m so in love with it.

Pay to read the bible????. Cmon , a women’s bible app that costs money ?? Isn’t it more important that women come together as a community then it is to make money ? This is really disappointing, I’ll be deleting the app.

New does not mean better... sadly. This new and updated app is, sadly, hard to navigate and no longer my go-to app for bible readings and screen savers. Such a pain, every time I open the bible part of the app it starts back at Genesis 1, instead of where I left off. When I get the the end of a chapter I can’t just swipe to the next chapter, I have to back out, click on the book and then the chapter... every single time. This is no longer the place where I read the bible, I now have moved along to another app. Love their beautiful screen savers, but now I have to scroll though every single one, before I can get to the newest. I have a feeling an update to this new and improved app will be necessary otherwise users will find something more user friendly to work with.

Love this!. It's one of my favourite apps!

Love it. It’s kinda a pain that the devos cost money, but because I love them so much I just subscribed and unlocked all of them! This app has changed my bible reading habits for the good! I bought their physical bible for myself and for 2 others all because I love this app and what She Reads Truth stands for

Still needs some work. I just opened the new app (had been reading in my paper book for Advent), and was a bit disappointed with the upgrade. I can no longer read in landscape mode on my iPad which is the way I normally read with my keyboard stand on a morning. I did find my old plans, and restored my purchases, but navigation seems more challenging. Perhaps I am not yet used to it yet. I also want to change the words of Christ to not be red, and don’t see how to do that. The pics are beautiful, however, and it has potential! Just a few more tweaks.

Love it. I love it, I just need to be more disciplined in my daily readings. I do like the notifications now to remind me!!

Too many in app purchases. Disappointed with all the purchases that need to be made. I'll stick to my free bible app. Devotions shouldn't cost money.

High quality and high value!. Used it over the summer to read through the entire Bible with the 365 plan. Absolutely loved how it was set up, the green check marks were a great incentive, and the tracked percentage was also fun. It was also brilliantly divided with a lot of thought put into the passages that were read together; and enough variety to keep it from feeling tedious. Almost felt like reading a novel with something new to discover every day! I always look forward to the Advent plans as well. Thankful for such a solid high quality app to recommend for friends wanting to get into the Bible more. And did I mention how affordable it is and how pretty the photos are?! Thank you ladies!!

Awesome. Love this app! Highly recommend it.

Glitches all the time. I love SRT but this app is a different story. It keeps glitching and erasing my progress. And if it isn’t dependable to track my progress than I’m not sure what I’m paying for since I can get the material for free on the website?

Love this app!. I’ve been using this app for years and it gets better and better. I’m happy to pay for the reading plans as I know how much work goes in to them. The app can be a bit buggy but it doesn’t deter me from using it- the plans are so well put together and thought through. This app definitely help to keep me on track with my daily walk with Jesus!

I signed up. I signed up but can’t get pass the introduction pages. Really want to check it out. Kind of disappointed I can’t experience the knowledge you have about the Word of God. I hope you work out your technical issues soon.

I love it!! But... Absolutely love this app. The aesthetic and devotionals lead me to actually actively read the word!! The only think I would LOVE to see is an option to listen to the bible, mainly for those who cannot read for extended periods of time. ❤️

New update not working. The app keeps crashing for me, as well as the new study, Bible in a year, doesn't seem to work. When I do get it open, it opens at day 266.

So great.. I have lots of Bible and Devotional apps on my phone. This is the one I turn to most often. This is the one my daughter and I enjoy together.

Great content, but too many glitches. I the content is amazing, but the app has so many glitches. The app doesn’t recognize when you’ve completed a devotional. It also doesn’t archive any of the completed plans. I have a bunch just still downloaded that I’ve completed and it doesn’t recognize that it’s been completed.

Amazing!!. LOVE LOVE LOVE this app! Amazing lock screens with beautiful designs that finally fit my screen!! Very inspired! 13 y old girl from Toronto!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Lovely and beautiful but. I love SRT! App is beautiful and points me to truth that changes my life. That being said, the latest app is no longer my go-to app. The app goes to genesis 1 every time I open it - the old version would open wherever I had been the day before in whatever version I was using. I’m disappointed. They kept the beauty but have not made it more functional.

lagging. I downloaded the app and when i log in it won’t lead me to the bible

❤️❤️❤️. Love

Lock screen troubles. The download button isn't giving me an option to save image to my phone (which make it difficult to get the lock screen). Haven't run into any other troubles though!

Enjoying this app so far. I have only just started to use this app but I am impressed.

Crash. The app crashes every time I try to open my 365 bible devotion

New update. Glitches way more, lost all my progress in devotionals, lost all my highlights (just now regained after I filed a complaint), new plan organization is a hassle especially for bible in a year (months is better), app constantly closing or very slow with new update. Loved the old version and SheReadsTruth but the new version should not have been released yet in my opinion with so many issues.

Glitchy. The plans on she reads truth are so wonderful. I bought a plan to go through on the app but it crashes every time I try to use it, so I have to use the web browser instead which offers a free version. It ended up being a waste of money to use the plans on the app.

LOVE this app. Really nice and user friendly, this is an app that helps you get a better balance and a good reading.

Could be so much better after all this time. I really want to love this app more. I’ve been using it since university days and have been a monthly subscriber for the past couple years. But really the app has not visibly improved at all in all the years I’ve been using it. I love that they put so much effort in the studies and graphics but if you’re going to make an app you need to invest in the tech too. As many others stated, it glitches a lot. Common ones for me are: making you run through intro slides every time you open the app, erasing your progress in plans, highlighter not working, crashing. And then there are simple UX improvements that could have been considered sometime in the last five years at least. For example, when you finish one reading of a plan, instead of it taking you back to the plan page, you have to scroll back like 5 times. It would be so simple to put a final complete button that actions you back to home or plan. And there are so many opportunities for more robust tools, like highlights and notes. If you want one single bible app, this is not the one. You still need to balance it with something like YouVersion. The saving grace of the app is the content itself, but it would greatly improve with better functionality.

Perfect for devotionals. The best app I've been introduced to! Thank you

Beautiful!. Beautiful app. Love the she reads truth community and love learning about Jesus :)

❗️❕❗️❕❗️❕. These devotions are absolutely WONDERFUL. They are completely faith strengthening and the team provide good, honest advice and accurate Biblical accounts. It is filled with conviction, healing, and complete power. HOWEVER, my only withdrawal is the fact that you have to pay to OWN the devotions. For example, to have a devotion downloaded into the app / onto your phone, you have to pay around $5. However, if you just want to read a devotion, I'd suggest you go to the SRT website, where you can find every devotion archived. The REASONING behind the payment is because: (1) Most of those on the SRT team are mothers and this is their job. They have to make money somehow. (2) You're paying to OWN and DOWNLOAD the devotions. It'd be nice if it were all free, but that is unrealistic. Be glad they're free online, because it'd be a shame to waste such knowledge and wisdom. So, MY OVERALL REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the app itself, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the content from SRT.

In the Word. This app helps me stay in God’s Word every day. It’s easy to navigate and simple to find that day’s reading. Love the community in the chat section. It’s also just so pretty! I also highly recommend the SRT podcast that goes along with each weeks reading. These together have helped me learn so much and grow in my faith. Thanks for the great experience every single day, SRT!

New version difficult to use. When I updated the app, the new version deleted almost all of my "marked as read" including my Bible in a Year info...it also deleted some of my purchased plans and now they are in alphabetical order which on one hand is more organized...but in the other hand is chaotic ad I have to scroll in order to get to my current plan. Then when I try to open the days readying it takes forever to load on my phone. I never used to have this problem and I could even read my plans without data. I'm sad and it's causing me not to use the app...I used to love and look forward to reading, now it's a struggle to get en open anything.

Cancellation of subscription. Quite annoyed that I cannot cancel my subscription until AFTER the third month, that guaranteeing you money that I may be having hardship on due to covid. . My first order was July 21.. literally 10 days later I get charged for another fee for another month. $40 within 10 days!! Regardless of your ‘1’st of the month’ policy or after 3 months.. It should be billed AFTER the first month of purchase. . Or the next month at the purchase date, so Aug 21. Not even caring or taking in account ppl may be facing some hardships due to Covid, yet still trying to read the word of God and make ends meet. Quite a sham. I mean, is this a car payment plan!! Disappointed...

It was better before the update. So I really like the app, and I use it every week at youth group, but the update wasn’t very nice. I like being able to sign in, but the problem is I primarily use the app for the Bible and the notes, and now it takes like 10 clicks to get to the notes. And the layout of the notes isn’t very user friendly. I can say I like how you can switch between the different things on the bottom, and signing. I would just like if the notes could be changed so it’s more user-friendly. Thank you.

Please give us the old app back. I’m just a believer in if it’s not broken don’t try to fix it. The functionality of the old app was superior to the new app. It was convenient, simple and easy to navigate. I loved it and although the plans weren’t free in the app, i didn’t have a problem paying for them, because it was more convenient than going online. HOWEVER, since the update I have only used the app to download screensavers. This new app is complicated for no reason whatsoever, and everything takes forever to load. I want to turn the page in the Bible: loading, I click day one of a plan: loading. It’s significantly slower than the old app. I’ve read a tons of reviews and the consensus is pretty much the same, can we please get the old app back.

Glory to God. I am so thankful I stumbled upon the SRT community. I am absolutely floored with how much I am loving everything they put out! They have brought me closer to Him which ultimately is the goal. thank you so much to all the SRT women and staff, y’all have truly made reading the word so enjoyable, fun, and motivating!! I’m in love with the subscription and look forward to it every single month and morning, merry Christmas !! Xoxo

In-App Paid Devos = Disfunctional Lately. This is not way I typically like to register a complaint, but hoping this will get some help sent my way. I LOVE SRT & their plans. I’ve done the books & the app plans for years. The last few weeks, however, my app & Romans plan that I purchased within the app have been improperly loading, so I can’t access the reading or the devos as normal. I’m supposed to be doing this plan with a friend, so it’s frustrating that every morning I go to try it again & trouble-shoot with no results. I tried contacting SRT through the website, but I’ve yet to get any help. I hope that we can get this fixed, so that I can continue my plan & come back to this review and change my rating.

To be honest.... I love SRT. I loved the app and have had it for maybe two years now. The new update is hard to navigate. I’m not the biggest fan of how the plans are laid out. I’m happy to pay the $1.99 a month if it comes down to it but the fact is that I was able to read freely the plans that were labeled “free”. It made me feel like it was more about welcoming and helping women get acquainted to the word. Now it just seems like the other apps where they lure you in and then ask people to pay to dive in deeper. Womp womp. Aesthetically it looks nice but practically people will need to take time to learn how to navigate the site unlike before.

Subscription. Do not download this app. It has been such a headache. I “subscribed” got my apple receipt, but when I went in the app all the plans were still locked. It said I was not subscribed- so I went through the process again. And the app would not let me finish, because it said I was already subscribed. I thought it would be more convenient and more beautiful- but when something does not work it just brings more frustration. Emailed the company and they said to do some things I have already done- turn off your phone, delete and re-down load the app, etc... nothing worked. Just hope I don’t get charged next month. I paid separate for the advent plan and that works perfectly.

LOVE. I love this app!! It’s so smooth and easy to use!! The content is so rich in the Word and I love that I can read and reply to other women thought on the daily reading. There’s only two things I recommend. One have a feature that goes straight to the bookmarked page in the Bible. The second is to have a way to leave a plan or save it for later. Still a 5/5 because it’s just so pretty and easy to use!!

Missing some old features. I have been using your app since 2016, maybe 2015. There are many nice things about the new changes but there are also a couple big problems. The biggest problem I have found is I can’t easily slide from one chapter to the next anymore when reading the Bible. Also the two rows of buttons at the bottom make the Bible look a little cluttered. It would be nice if maybe those buttons went away after a few seconds and came back when the screen is tapped. And maybe adding arrows to either side of the book chapter button (e.i. < Genesis 2 > ) to go to previous and following chapters would fix that problem.

Wish this app was better. I so love my She Reads Truth bible and love their study plans but this app always has one glitch or another. I so wish this app was better, just tonight I tried to read some of Matthew and it randomly jumped me back like 5 chapters, has given me a really hard time with the highlighting function and when I try to copy a verse it pulls from wherever it wants instead of where I want it to. I’m a brand loyalist and love the way this app is laid out so I will keep trying to use it but it can be frustrating.

Why pay??. Although I like the app I feel like something needs to be done here. I want to use the app or the plans and devotionals it has to offer for growing your faith in the Lord. But I feel that it is wrong to have to pay for the plans just to read them. I think they should be free to use to anyone who would like to read them. Weather they are not able to pay for them or now. And it just seems wrong to have to pay for the devotionals and plans to grow with the Lord. I know the company needs to make money but I feel the way they are doing it is wrong. If the plans and devotionals could be come free in the near future that would be very helpful and appreciated!

Love SRT. This is a wonderful app, great for personal quiet time. I love the content of the devotions; it’s not shallow like a lot of other bible study apps. My only complaint would be that it is kinda laggy opening up your plan for the day. I also have one request: pretty please create a Dark Mode option for iPhone users!! I use my app first thing in the morning, before my feet even hit the floor, and even with the brightness turned all the way down and Night Shift on, that white screen kills my eyes!!! 😂

Passage Picker Bug. This app is good and would be awesome if you guys would fix the passage picker bug. It’s on the he reads truth app also when y’all applied the update that changed the UI - I honestly prefer the older one and it’s simplicity...this one would be better if not for bugs like this - When you select a book of the Bible, or a chapter, the app randomly picks a chapter and sometimes a verse for you. This doesn’t happen every time, but it hurts every time it does! Please fix this and you’ll get the five stars this app deserves and both apps would be promoted from a folder to my home screen! Love you guys!

So encouraging and accessible. I have done several She Reads Truth studies through the app and they never disappoint! I love how they take a concept and share different scripture passages that relate and then follow it up with a devotional that helps to apply to you personally. I also LOVE the images/lock screens they provide. They are gorgeous and I often save them to send to friends who need encouragement or post on Facebook to share with others what I am studying in God’s word

Great idea. Horribly executed.. While I do love the idea and philosophy of this app and all its content, it is horrendously developed and maintained. WHY after so many bad reviews and constructive criticism, the SRT team doesn’t rework the app is something I don’t understand. This whole app needs to be reworked and more user friendly. Please make it easier to get in and out of the different days of the plans and easier to navigate the application, also PLEASE make a dark mode. As someone that love to read at night or early in the morning, I am less encouraged to use this and I find myself using this app less and less. Please be responsive to all the cries for help.

Has a lot of potential. I’ve downloaded and kept this app so I do appreciate it, however there are a lot of parts that don’t make sense. My biggest problem lately is when reading and “highlighting,” it highlights huge chunks, and sometimes the auto highlighted sections are broken up. I wish you could choose the highlight color and what to highlight (complete sentences) and dark mode would be much better, like the standard bible app has. It’s also missing the ability to share chapters. Overall the app is decent but could use a lot of changes

Lost all my plans with new version. I’ve used SRT for over three years. I switched to another reading plan for a while and when I came back to the new version of the app, all my purchased plans were gone and I am unable to restore them. I’ve done all the troubleshooting and even reached out to customer service and was basically told sorry there’s nothing we can do. I can’t even buy new plans. Nothing on my app works except the Bible. This really stinks because I love SRT and the way the app used to be so easy to pick up where I left off. Sorry guys, but I’m going to have to find another devotional app that actually works.

Newest Update - Devotionals. I recently updated and I’m very disappointed that I can no longer copy and paste from the devotional section, both the Bible portions and the devo portion. It’s frustrating especially since in the old app that was so easily done. I want to highlight and save the things I thought were beautiful and it’s disappointing that I can no longer interact in such a manner with this app. I’m definitely not going to recommend this to other friends because I don’t want them to experience this same disappointment when they come across something that they find moving.

Loved the old app, not sure why I’m having so many issues.. It no longer shows up as highlighted when I’m reading the scripture portion of the devotions. It lets me select everything and gives me the option to highlight, but when I click it it doesn’t highlight. I can still highlight in the Bible portion. Also it doesn’t transfer between devices, what I do on one device doesn’t appear on the other. I love the content and I love SRT but not sure why I’m having these issues.

Simple with great messages. I have used this app since it came out, and more regularly since I became a regular subscriber a couple years ago. It’s easy to use and it has all the scriptures for the plan in one place. I do like the format of scripture, then thoughts about the passage then community. There are some old plans I wish were still available, but I have enjoyed this much!

New app is disappointing. I have used SRT for years now. I have purchased a good number of the studies as I prefer to have them on my phone rather than having to sign in to their site for access. At one point they offered some titles for free (back in the early days) and I had a combination of ones I purchased and a few that were free. Since the new app has launched I have lost about a third of my library. Not too happy about this. I have tried to locate the emails showing my purchases but that is a pain especially since they span several years. Would love to find another study app if anyone has suggestions.

Pretty (expensive). In theory, this is a very good app. It's organized very well, it looks amazing, and it's easy to use. The only problem is that it's expensive. There are 13 free plans (day by day studies of sections of the Bible), and 36 paid plans. Those planes cost $77 all together. I don't think this app should be free-- it cost money to make and organize. At the same time, each plan should be one dollar MAX (and even that is pushing it). There should be a bundled version with all of the plans for around $5-10 so that way it's easier to purchase. After that, $0.50 a plan. Previous news articles should also be read expect for the last two--I had to go through 67 alerts saying there was an unread news article, which was annoying.

Easy to use and enlightening. Before I found out about this app I would try to make plans to read my bible everyday but would find it hard to always have my bible with me. As a college student this has truly helped me be able to access the Bible EVERY day, no matter where I am. I love the plans offered and I have noticed such a great difference in my relationship with God through the consistency of being able to use this app.

Great Company, App Needs Work. I love the SRT devotionals and the heart of the ladies doing all the work to put these out there for us. Thank you for caring about our spiritual well-being. If I was rating the company it would easily be 5 stars. I agree with many recent reviews that the newer version, while visually appealing, isn’t as user friendly and intuitive as the previous version. Also, I would love to have the option of listening to a passage of Scripture through this app. If that’s already an option I haven’t seen a way to access it.

Needs improvement. I use this app every morning for my morning readings. I truly enjoy what this app has to offer but there needs to be some improvement. There are daily glitches, app closing out unexpectedly, not checking completed readings, or either just not updating in a timely manner with the next day’s readings. It can be frustrating if you’re trying to follow along or you have set out dedicated time for your readings only to not be able to complete because it isn’t updated. Please fix some of these glitches. 😔

Beautifully Designed!. I’ve been using SRT for a few weeks now and I am absolutely in love! I’m studying Psalms now. It makes it so much easier to read and understand the books of the Bible with the different plans available. I’d say it’s definitely worth $2.99/month for the subscription. Absolutely beautiful app design and so simple to understand. Five stars!!!

I Love It!!!!!!. I am deaf-blind and I am also the secretary for a biblical group. I can say that I am totally impressed with your app. I have been looking/searching for a womens bible for the ladies to study from in the ladies branch of our group. I have found that it has everything that I have been wanting, but lacked in other apps. I haven’t had any issues with navigation. On the contrary, it was worth paying the money for in order to get the full benefit of the app. thanks, again for coming to my rescue. God bless you all.

Loading slowly and incompletely. Not sure if this is due to the upload of the new advent devotional or not, but I am having extreme difficulty getting my advent devotional to load properly. It loads very slowly and, even when it does load quickly, does not load the devotional completely. I love using this app and love the materials. I would really like to participate with Advent this year but may end up choosing a different advent Bible study if I continue to have issues loading the daily readings.

Absolutely love it. Absolutely love the way this app breaks down scripture into smaller chunks. I also like the meditation added to help understand each day’s reading. I LOVE that it has super short blips for weekends. Lastly, I love that you can be a subscriber or just pay per book you want to study. The only thing I wish is that it had the NLT version of the Bible as well. The Message is a little too loose of a translation for my liking and the other versions offered (KJV, ESV, etc.) can be a bit confusing to me at times.

love it. i really do love this app, it has made me closer to God and really just get to know myself through Christ. this app is amazing and i use it every night. the only reason why it only has four stars is because when you bookmark the page you are on it doesn't save it. which is okay, it just takes a extra minute to figure out where you left off. but this app is beyond amazing in my usage.

The Update Deletes all Progress. I updated today, and though I have loved the SRT app for over a year, the new total reconfiguration has deleted all my progress from the Bible in 365 Days plan. The plans are organized differently, and though all of my plans were still shown as purchased and open for my use, all progress through them over the past YEAR is gone. The new app is also slow and takes forever to load. This update was not ready. Wait. Don’t click the update button if you’re an existing user until they’ve worked this out.

Great when it works. I pay a subscription fee to use this app and, regularly, I am unable to use to because it continues to crash. Today begins the fourth study I have missed due to this newest round of crashing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times and contacted them several times as well. They are unable to fix these problems for months at a time. So when it works, it is very convenient and wonderful. When it doesn’t, it is just very frustrating—especially when you’re paying monthly for access you’re not getting.

Love SRT, but the app has some issues. After reading a daily devotional, you can click on “tap to mark as read.” Unfortunately, this hardly ever works. I’ve learned that to make it really “take” I have to go back to the full list of devotionals in a particular study and open the daily one from there before marking it as read. This is one small issue that gets annoying. Also, I cannot figure out how to get back into the devotional if I click to read it in the Bible. There isn’t a clear “back to daily devotional” button.

Notification bubble won’t go away. I typically love this app and haven’t had any issues with it crashing, but I have it set up to notify me each morning as a reminder and now the notification bubble won’t go away. I have read the passages and they are marked complete within the app and nothing I do will make it go away. I’ve even deleted the app and redone loaded but it’s still there! Frustrating and I don’t know what I’m missing or if it’s a glitch. And I’ve been using the notifications for a few months with no issues prior to this.

Amazing App if it would work 😭. I have used She Reads Truth for years and have enjoyed it so much but in the last year or so it crashes every single time I open up a study plan. The Bible section works but the reason I subscribe is for their amazing devotionals. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to use them and when I contacted support they just routed me to their online devotionals. I am heartbroken to have to delete and unsubscribe from this amazing app but it doesn’t make sense to keep it if it doesn’t work. Please fix these bugs and I will be back!

Love the content, app is not so user friendly. Loveee SRT, I introduced my husband to HRT and he loves it as well. However, lately the app has been giving me issues, it does not save the resent reads, so I am always having to go through different days to remember which was the one I read the day before. I have to go into all the reading plans to find the one I am currently reading because it doesn’t appear on the home page. Please fix this if it’s a bug! I really love the content but it’s sad that the app has become so hard to navigate.

Needs to be fixed. I loved the previous version of this app and used it almost every single day. However, since the newest update, it has been a horrible experience. I can open it and get into my plans (which was a whole different ordeal to even get those working on the new app and I don’t like the new version of how it lays them out and keeps track of them) but once I click on a specific day to read the whole app shuts down and says network error, when there is no network error because every other app and function on my phone and iPad still works at the same time. I’m hoping they get these bugs worked out so I can use the app again because I really do miss it. Or I’ll have to find another app.

Update is horrible for note taking. I have used the She Reads Truth for years for Bible reading and note taking. As a mom of two small kids, it was nice to know that, as long as I had my phone, I could access my Bible and all sermon notes. The new update has made note taking horribly complicated and difficult. I cannot start a note without a scripture reference, it’s a multi-step process to access an old note, and a large part of the time, I cannot even see what I am typing in a note. This app is now more of a frustration than a blessing. If it weren’t for my old sermon notes saved in the app, I would probably have deleted it off my phone by now.

Love SRT. This app really helps me read the Bible everyday, which I love. It is a great motivator. I get the emails for the daily devotional and then read the Bible on the app. I like most everything about app except recently the app wasn't opening. I had to re-download the app which made me loose all of the bookmarks and notes that I had saved. On top of the it uses a lot of memory to have bookmarks and notes saved. Please change this for future versions! It would be awesome if some features synced online so I won't loose notes again!

ESSENTIAL!. I cannot say enough POSITIVE things about this app!!! As a Christian millennial young woman, staying in touch with God is a high priority- and this app makes it SO EASY to get a devotional done in the morning with coffee before heading out! Also - I’ve NEVER purchased an app subscription until THIS app! For only $1.99 a month, the blessings are ABUNDANT and it has a built-in Bible feature! That’s only $24 a year, and honestly, with the Bible feature, the community and ALL the Bible studies on the app - I couldn’t think of a better $24 a year!!! <3

Please Fix the Issues. Please change the swiping five screens to the left every time one opens the app. I understand how that could be helpful for a new user; however, it’s annoying when a long-term user needs to swipe just to get into the app. I’m also getting an error message now every time I log into the app that’s stating an error has occurred. I click Okay and move on (so what was the error?). I’ve also noticed that the Bible does not open to the text I want. I used to love this app and now I’m finding that it’s more annoying than helpful which I wish wasn’t the case.

Great encouragement. This is a great way to encourage Bible study and better than most Bible studies for women who give one verse out of the Bible and then a page of what they have to say. As far as having to pay for a study, I don't understand why people complain about this. You get the Bible in several versions for free. You get many Bible studies for free. These writers are devoting time writing for you and to say God's love is free is equivalent to saying that anyone doing any type of ministry should not be paid for it. Even the apostles were paid in room and board.

Wait For It. The app is going through a rough spot right now. I’m sure we’ve all been through rough spots in our lives. These ladies and writers have never let us down before. Let’s stand with them in prayer while they fix the glitches and put out the amazing product they’ve always delivered. It WILL be better than ever. Please be in agreement with me for the success of this app and for it to continue to reach women everywhere. Let’s exercise what they’ve taught us; patience! Let’s stand with our brothers and sisters in Christ while this gets fixed.

LOVE SRT - but the new update :(. I LOVE LOVE LOVE SRT and have recommended the app to so many women. However, this latest update to the app has been so disappointing. I lost 3 of the plans I purchased and can’t figure out how to get them back. I already emailed CS and was told to restart my phone, uninstall and reinstall the app and it still hasn’t restored my 3 purchases. The new app is far more complicated to navigate and the images won’t load properly anymore. I may need to wait for these issues to be fixed before I recommend it to others again. Still love the ministry and will continue to wait for this to get better, but needed to share the issues at hand.
