Love the app! Some suggestions to the developer.. Quality of the scans in PDF form is surprisingly good and the file output size is quite small and text searchable. Slightly frustrating things I’d love to see the developer improve: If you scan in PDF format and upload to Evernote, it does not give you a chance to name the file. You can’t quickly identify the file in any of the Evernote interfaces because it just shows as as a PDF that needs to be downloaded, not a preview of the PDF. I’d love it if either or both of these can be changed. I’d like to be able to name my files that I save to Evernote as I scan them. I’d also like me ability to preview the files that are PDF when they are in the Evernote explorer apps (PC, OSX, iOS) without having to click the pdf icon and wait through the download.

Goodbye scanners and fax machines. Love this app. Use it a few times a week to "scan" my documents, receipts, book excerpts - whatever I want to keep as a digital file. Then I "share" to my Google Drive to store in the cloud, "share" to iBooks or GoodReader to have on my phone, "share" to CudaSign if I need to sign it first, and/or "send" as an email attachment, and I love that I can do all of the above. It would be nice to be able to select all the options you want to do from one screen, rather than go back and select a new option each time. It does sometimes (rarely) crash, but I have never lost any images. I like that it keeps copies of prior scans in case I need to go back. The cropping is pretty good, especially if you put a dark background behind what you are scanning. I like the "enhance" feature to optimize the printed text, and the ability to toggle easily between the enhanced version and the original. The quick toggle between PDF and image is also great. One minor annoyance is that, for some reason, the app will occasionally show the tutorial even when I haven't updated it and have been using it for months. All in all, a must-have app for me. I used to carry around docs, waiting for a time I was near a scanner or fax. Now, combined with cloud storage, a signing app like CudaSign, and email, it has allowed me to recycle paperwork immediately and free myself from clutter, scanners, and fax machines. Why do companies even use fax machines anymore?

LinkedIn integration is a dealbreaker when it comes to business card scans. Great app overall. Easy to use and with a nice, clean interface. I love the fact that completes and verifies contact info on the business card by contrasting it to the person’s profile on LinkedIn. For me, that’s a killer capability. My only pet peeve is when I scan a card that has an atypical format. It defaults to save it as an image, it does not identifies it as a business card. Therefore, it does not pull up the contact info. Please set an option to manually mark the scan as a business card so the app saves the info as a contact.

A functional and wonderful productivity tool. By far, this is probably the best scanning app out there. They are crisp, can be saved in either image or pdf format, and don’t take up too much space. I find it very convenient that the app automatically turns on your flash, selects an export format, saves your recent scans, and makes the cropping and approval process of your scans convenient and easy. The only complaint I have is that the app runs its slow introduction/tutorial every time you re-start it. No, I don’t need a tutorial on how to use the app after closing it for a few days. The app is connected to Evernote, and if you don’t happen to have an account with them, Scannable will essentially harass you to connect it to Evernote. I find these pop-up messages slow and irritating, but the functionality of the app itself is stellar.

Very handle, fast, but interface needs work. This is a very handy app to have on your phone too quickly and accurately create a PDF copy of a document. But the user interface needs a little improvement. As soon as you open the app your begin searching everywhere for a document and may grab something before you have a chance to aim it what you really want to copy. As soon is it copies one page it begin searching again. This is annoying when you have a multipage document and need to turn the pages. And also it only saves to Evernote or the camera roll, not to files on the phone or iCloud.

Scan is good but post scan is confusing and weird.. Scan quality is good. Big issue is that when we have to forward or send the document it takes default previous document name. Who designs such a way! Second if I have to access the recent document there could be simple way to do so from camera scan screen but only thing one can do is to select and delete option. Really? No way to access through app? Evernote is the parent company and they are living with such flawed features. I mean when sending someone any scanned doc. It default select all the history document and default previous doc name. Really pls fix it otherwise I would go for scanbot app. I know that won’t bother you guys to lose one user and apple wouldn’t show my review to the world. But I wish this app could have better posts an design features and weird default all select and name from previous document. Rather put name like scan001 and so on. At least when we forget it won’t go with some weird previous doc name in emails etc. or give a prompt to change the name with highlight. Definitely remove all the default select. You know why because in case I sent default all selected scan in email and reach to someone then can be security issue. I would neither anyone would prefer that!

Best ever!. Can it be any easier to capture all your receipts for an expense report? I think not! Maybe if it could find the receipts I lost for me! This tool has simplified my life 200 fold. Docs get signed and sent, receipts captured so they don’t get lost or run through the wash in my back pockets, plus, I look like a pro doing my expense report while on the road instead of like all the poor shlubs back at the office taping their receipts on paper and waiting en masse for the one working copier/ scanner to get their reports in on time. Be a winner- use scannable! I do and love it. And with all the time I save, I sleep in instead of going in early on Fridays!

The App Is Absolutely Horrible After the Latest Upgrade. was going to save and print. I tried to find a number to find out how to recover the files before it was too late and there is no number to be found and the technical support maze asks be for data that I don’t understand. Customer short should be available by phone or at least via email or text and I shouldn’t have to create some type of data Log to duplicate something I don’t understand. If I knew what happened I may be able to fix it myself.

ReCeNtS. What do you get when you combine an unstable scanning app, 100 pages of source material, and a deceptive “recents” tab that doesn’t do it’s only job? A recipe for disaster. Due to my limited access to a local university’s library, I chose to use scannable to secure the source information I would need for a paper I would be writing in the future. Little did I know, scannable offers anything but security. When I returned to the app 20-21 days after scanning the necessary pages, I found that all of my scans had been deleted. Mind you, not one time had I received a warning that these all-important scans would be deleted. Only once they were deleted and I began to dive into the deeper mechanics of the app did I realize that the app contains a “recents” tab. I thought, “Great, they’ll surely be in there. There’s no way this app just deleted my scans out of the blue!” I was wrong. The “recents” window claims to save recent scans for 30 days before deleting them. Unexplainably, though, my scans were nowhere to be found after only 20. This horribly unintuitive and deceptive design has now caused me to scramble to find the information I so desperately need, and I may have to spend over a hundred dollars to buy the books I found at the library. Do NOT use this app.

For Evernote users, simply the best. As an Evernote user, there's no scanning app out there that compares with Scannable in terms of simplicity and accuracy. It's literally point-and-shoot, and it gets scans into Evernote with almost zero friction. The OCR is excellent as well. This app is an indispensable part of my productivity workflow. If you are not an Evernote user, this would be a four-star app because once you scan, you have to fiddle with some buttons to get the scan to go where you want it. It's set up for Evernote use and getting it to work with anything else requires a few extra steps. That's the only downside I can see, however.

Where has this been all my life?. I collect social security, but I’m not hopeless with technology—I rid computers of ransomware, swap memory and SIMS cards on laptops and phones—but I’ve never managed to scan a document successfully on a mobile device. This did the work for me, and let’s me know exactly where I’ll be able to find the pages. To say it’s going to be life changing might sound extreme, but for someone who is paperwork and filing challenged, it will mean hours saved looking through folders, boxes, the trunk of my car, and out of season bags. It will also be handy for all those receipts on which the print fades before the return window closes.

Overall better than what is out there.. If you're a die-hard Evernote user, Scannable may be the best option for you...assuming you use an iOS device, that is. Scannable on the iPhone and iPad allows you to instantly scan business cards, sketches, receipts, paper documents, and even multi-page documents with ease, and automatically file and organize the resulting images and files in your Evernote account. Your scans are automatically cropped to remove backgrounds (like the table behind the reciept, for example) and enhanced so the text is readable. If you scan a business card, the contact information from the card is automatically lifted and added to a contact card, so you can call the person, email them, or visit their website or social presence with a single tap. It's relatively new, and while it works best with Evernote, it also allows you to share your resulting scan with other apps on your iOS device, so you can upload it to Dropbox, email it, or save it to your camera roll. Best of all, it's completely and totally free—no unlocks, no premium version, although it definitely works best if you also use Evernote.

Best card reader I have found for iPhone. I have experimented with several card reader apps and scannable wins. I use it for scanning other docs now and then, but it’s power is the ability to scan a business card, read it and create a contact record...plus I can go to Evernote and see the scan anytime. It’s great to get someone’s card, scan it and hand it back....people usually appreciate it. The ‘send my contact info’ feature is a bit wonky and I have not yet been able to make that a permanent part of my workflow....but otherwise this is a fantastic app...and it’s free.

Got it for work, but it’s a must for all moms!. Looking for a free app for scanning, I came across Scannable. It’s great for my work needs, but I use it for so many other things. My daughter calls and asks if I can drive a permission slip to school that she forgot. Instead of driving all the way over there, I scan it, email it to a teachers and then text it to my daughter as an extra measure. My sister-in-law needs a picture of my husband for something. I can scan an old picture in a collage and email it to her immediately. Another daughter was going on an international school trip, teacher needed a copy of her passport, instantly it’s there. Not to mention it’s great for work where’re I use it primarily to archive receipts that need to be billed to specific clients. I have immediate access to a scanner! No lost receipts!

Perfect Evernote Companion. ... almost, consider the rating 4-1/2 (will explain at the bottom). I have been an Evernote fan for a number of years. I benefit so much that for the past 3 years I've been a premium member as well. One challenge to going paperless is the transition between paper to digital image, generally PDF file. This was COMPLETELY resolved with Scannable. Scannable has rendered my traditional scanner almost obsolete. With a few exceptions (primarily archiving old family photos) I don't use it anymore and completely rely upon my iPhone's camera, Scannable and Evernote to keep my life paper AND clutter free. This got four and a half instead of five because of the 'connection requirement' (rating it four would have been a disservice and the reason for the connection may have to do with how documents are converted). I RV a great deal and often find myself in places where there is no cellular or Wi-Fi connections. It would be nice to be able to back up my journals when in these places but Scannable doesn't function unless it has is 'on the grid'. Bottom Line: I find great value in it.

Amazing. After taking my first scan with this app immediately got rid of my big bulky scanner which is such a hassle to place photos or documents inside. The app converts the photos of documents and to clean and slick digital scans as well as crops them which is really nice. I would highly recommend this app for anyone who needs to scan multiple documents. It is a lot faster than placing the documents and a scanner one by one and waiting for the scanner to do it's thing. This app is really fast and does a great job of combining documents together. It is the next best thing to the very expensive multi document scanners in the office. For personal and small business use, this app perfect!

Better than a scanner on your desk. This app uses your smart phone to scan documents into your phone, computer, Evernote, email, or other app. It saves as a PDF or image. It is so easy and quick, I prefer it over the scanner on my desk for projects with under 10 pages. If you use Evernote, the integration with Evernote is seamless. If you don’t use Evernote, you can share any PDF for image with another app on your phone. (For large scanning projects, where you can put a stack of papers in the scanner and it scans automatically without human involvement, a desk scanner is still better.)

Finally an Update, but Still Buggy. I’ve been using the Scannable app for probably 10 years, since back in Evernote’s hay-day. While I’ve long moved on from Evernote, I still like this scanning app. So when the first update in years popped up earlier this week, I got really excited that maybe they’d fix the painfully obvious bug that started a few years ago. It shows up every time you go to crop a scan, and the zoomed in area inside the magnifying glass at the top of the screen becomes half-blacked-out so you can’t actually see anything inside the magnifying glass, rendering it useless. But nope, in typical Evernote fashion they didn’t address the obvious problems. I’ll continue using the app because it’s still my favorite scanning app, but it would be really nice to see an obvious bug like that fixed.

Scannable. I’ve used several of these types of apps, but I always return to Scannable. The feature which I like the most is the following one. When you scan something like a news article and it is not perfectly flat and square, the program allows you to crop the image by first setting the corners such that you are outlining a non-rectangular shape. You can then move the edges, which are lined up parallel to the text, to remove the extraneous material. You end up with a trapezoid surrounding the image that you want to save. When you click on done, it stretches they selected image into a rectangular shape, an option which none of the other apps I’ve tried will do. It is really pretty slick, and easy to use.

This is the scanner app that works. This scanner app works the best out of all of them. Period. Especially for packets of docs with lots of staples and clips you don’t want to remove. I tried most of the other apps and they’re just not as fast or efficient as this one. Rarely do I ever have to rescan a page that didn’t quite scan correctly. I do a lot of document reviews for my job and I have to scan odd size pages and combinations of pages and document packets full of staples and gem clips. This app does the job without having to remove them. I’ve tried other apps and I’ve always come back to this one.

Please please please do a minor bug fix update for this wonderful little app!. I absolutely love this scanner app. I would love to see an update that fixes some very minor bugs and doesn’t overcomplicate the simplicity of this wonderful little app. So many other scanner apps are just so overly complicated. For example, the crop feature in Scannable is awesome and other apps only have “one or the other” of the cropping options available here. If anyone reading this is able, please reach out to Evernote with this simple request. 🤙🏻💕

Buggy and Unreliable, even w/Updates. I’ve had this for years. The interface has always been buggy with missing icons. Luckily, I know where to tap from past use. Every handful of uses it makes you click through all the “intro” pages which is annoying. The preview of your scans are missing occasionally - another bug that has not been addressed despite numerous updates over the years. I once had a few important scans in the app I hadn’t transferred to my computer yet (as is my normal workflow). When I went to transfer them, the app crashed and I lost all my scans. That was maybe a year ago. I just had the missing preview issue so I quit the app to restart it and hope it’s reappear and I just got the missing scans problem again. I have looked for competitive products in the past, but stuck with this because nothing else seemed compelling enough. After this latest issue, I am done. I will be deleting this for good and trying out another app.

Very useful app on first try. Chose app to scan 6 legal size documents of 4 pages each. Started with learning curve of placement of phone over document. First there is a scan box over the document, when ready picture will be taken and placed in the done box. Sometimes I would note a poor scan. Learned to take multiple scans if the completed scan didn’t look good. After multiple attempts learned there is a way to edit the scans and delete bad scans. Also one can reorder the scans positions. Ultimately emailed 6 completed pdf files to myself and printed them, my main first try goal. This was a little trial and error learning curve. At this time I’m not aware of a help file.

The Must-Have Student Scanner. As a student, and especially during remote learning, I find Scannable to be exactly what I need. It works well and efficiently and allows me to give my teachers PDFs made of multiple pages instead of taking a picture of every page. This is the ONLY scanning app I have found on the Store that is able to recognize spiral bound pages. Microsoft Lens, Genius Scan, and others simply cannot ‘find’ the page. As long as there is nothing in the background, Scannable can. I also love the integration with Evernote and the ability to organize scans so easily. I can go back in my many notebooks and find whatever I’m looking for. Not to mention, you can import Scannable documents from Evernote directly into Google Classroom! What a life saver. I will ask, however, that the Google Classroom integration be fixed a bit. There is an option to export documents to the app but it is extremely buggy and rarely works. Usually, I have to save the document to my Files from within Evernote and then submit it to Classroom manually. If you could fix up this feature, I’d give 5 stars in a heartbeat!

Used to be the best app out there by far. I’ve been a scannable user since the week they launched on the app store. It used to be by far the best scanning app on the market. It is still the best I’ve found as far as function while scanning. However, they now have some kind of crazy bug that causes me to have to set it up from scratch every time I use it. If I use it 3 times in the same day, every time I have to go through the setup sequence, log into evernote, set my preferences, etc.. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling but it still does the same thing. If they can fix this, it will once again be the best scanning app out there but if it’s not fixed soon, I’ll be moving to one of the other apps to do all my scanning.

Good idea not implemented well - back to the scanner. The idea of being able to scan receipts during a trip and then not have to scan them all for reimbursement is a great one and so needed. Unfortunately this application does not make life easier. With some basic upgrades this app could be good but not ready for prime time yet. The application take the pictures but if you want to scan receipts ever day then you end up with every day being recovered and duplicates every day. The worst part is that our expense system needs pdf files but this application sends png images and it send each image as its own file so I ended up with 10 separate files in the wrong format. In essence it remains easier to just scan them into a common file and then into th correct format. Plus after sending the files all of the pictures and receipts were gone off the Evernote drive so I could no longer make changes and try again. I really this application worked but until it does will need to stick to copies and the scanner.

Best and easiest scanner app, must have for any Evernote user!. I LOVE this app, it’s ease of use is unmatched! I am a devoted Evernote user and this app helps me stay “paperless” almost effortlessly. Evernote - please, please don’t ever discontinue this app unless you replace it with something better! One enhancement that would be an incredible gift to us Evernote power users... please allow us to add tags to items as we upload them to Evernote (pretty please) -ie: I like to file medical receipts in a healthcare file but I’d love to be able to tag them as ‘receipts’ (or even ‘receipts’ and ‘tax related’) when I’m uploading them so later I can easily find them more readily by their tag. Also I often tag items as ‘temp’ that I will want to delete down the road and searching by this tag really helps me do regular maintenance on my filing system in a flash!

This teacher LOVES this app!. This app has changed my life and made what I give to students (1) higher quality and (2) faster to create. I’d estimate that it saves me more than an hour a week, and some weeks much more. It does a great job scanning a workbook or textbook page and adjusting for the binding... something copy machines are terrible at. Cropping any lingering issues and sending the pdf to myself is downright simple. In a world where students and parents expect every worksheet to be digitized and posted, this is a life saver. It’s powerful AND easy to use - a pairing seldom seen in education circles. =) Thank you so so much, Scannable team!

Business APP Ready - Scan Quickly & Easily. I have been using this app for over three years now, and has facilitated many transactions with my business. The recognition software is incredible, and does a great job of scanning, and the simplicity of how it just adds to the stack of scans allows For flawless interaction. I even have clients download this app to send me copies of documents when they do not have access to a scanner which is most people today. Even for people without a tech background this is an easy app to understand and improves their daily life. Thank you again for keeping this software, simple and efficient. Best, KyleCan

Simple, fast, useful… but why is it so buggy?. I really enjoy using this app to digitize paper documents and get them into Evernote or my camera roll. I appreciate the app’s simple interface and find it to be intuitive. However, I always seem to encounter bugs when using it. Reviewing a scanned document, the “Reorder” bar button item was completely out of place. When adjusting the corners of a crop, I love the idea of showing a magnification of the point I’m cropping, but 60% of the magnification is blocked with a black background for some reason making the feature completely useless. Another time when reviewing a scan the one page of the group completely disappeared. I tapped “Reorder” and then went back to the scan and was able to see the “missing” document. Thankfully when confirming afterwards I was able to see that all pages made it, but what good is this app when I don’t have confidence that all of the data is being captured and saved? Please fix these frustrating bugs and improve the reliability of the app.

Great! (except for one issue). I couldn’t find a way to contact the developer without becoming a premium Evernote user (and I don’t use Evernote currently), so I’m leaving my feedback here. I’ve been using Scannable since before it was Evernote (years and years). I mostly really like it and find it convenient to use. The issue I think needs fixed has to do with sharing to other apps. When I share to Dropbox or Files, the “Save” button is nowhere to be seen. I’m not 100% sure it even says “Save” since I can’t see it. I just know from experience to tap the top righthand corner of the screen to finish exporting. There must be a button there, but I’m guessing it’s white text on a white background, and that definitely makes for an accessibility/user-friendliness issue. Hopefully it gets fixed soon!

Great product, but still some problems. I honestly like this scanning app a lot; the scans are super fast, the auto detected borders are fairly accurate, and the end product is a great balance between quality and file size. That said, there are some problems I’d like to see fixed. I use this app predominantly for scanning books for research, but the app gets overwhelmed and is liable to crash the larger the file size gets. I’ve lost so many scanned books this way. It also stops being able to detect borders as the scanning continues. A simple fix could be to automatically save after a certain number of pages and start a new file. Also, having an adjustable colored border option would remove the need to auto detect borders every time a page is turned; the user would just need to fit the text within the confines of border (as a bonus, it would cut out any background - including fingers - that would fall within that frame). I’d like to see more options for adjusting size and quality as well. All that aside, Scannable is still one of the best scanning apps I’ve found so far, and having these few added improvements (even as a paid add-on) would make it ideal.

A Must Have for College Students. Scannable is maybe my most used app ever. I’ve used it every single night for the past year, scanning homework assignments. No professor wants physical papers anymore, it’s all about uploading scans. I’ve had classes where people get no credit on assignments because their scans were poor. Not me. Scannable is super easy to make sure your papers are crisp and readable. It automatically takes the picture but lets you adjust the edges afterwards??? And not just edge by edge, you can move each individual corner so you get the best view of your page. I have literally never seen another app that lets you do that. I normally email them to myself so I can submit on my computer but that is an easy built in function. I know this review sounds like a marketing campaign but I was just talking with a friend about how idk what I’d do without Scannable. It’s WILD that this is free to use with no ads????? Like the reason I am back on the app store to write this is bc I was sure I must have paid for it at some point but NOPE. Every college students dream app tbh

App Intentionally Ruins Handwritten Documents.. I’ve spent the past week and a half trying and failing to get this horrid excuse of a scanner to work. This app has, since the beginning, intentionally blurred, skewed and blanked out major sections of hand written documents I’ve attempted to scan. There is no amount of light, bright or dark, that can prevent this app from effectively deleting half of the document, and what little is left afterwards is blurred beyond all recognition. I know for a FACT that the app intentionally tampers with your scans because I have pinned my phone to a desk and just watched it try to focus on an unmoving, well lit document laying on a chair directly below it and for five minutes it never once managed to settle into a decent focus on the page or stopped shaking the camera. This app deliberately creates random visual noise to deliberately prevent you from taking even remotely comprehensible scans. Absolutely stay away from this app unless you want to pay the developers their extortionate fees for the “premium” service to the get basic functionality out of the app that should be expected. And they have the gall to put this app under “productivity”, it fits better under “inexcusable waste of time and money”.

Needs an update!. I’ve been using scannable for a couple of years now and have had no complaints. I use an iPad Pro and have loved it; the last several months have left me irritated, though. For some reason, now the app is very laggy when I try to edit the scanned picture. Even more frustrating is that when I scan several pages, when i go to edit them, the “thumbnails” are TINY. There is no possible way for me to see the scanned image without clicking on it to edit it, in which it blows up to full size but of the actual document picture, not the automated scanned product, so it defeats the purpose for me. This needs to be fixed ASAP. It’s come to the point that I don’t even want to use this app anymore because those two items are so frustrating, which is a huge let down because I loved this app so much.

Lifesaver. This app compliments my BOX file system like no other . This makes all my files accessible at my fingertips all the time. I took my 19 y.o. son on a cruise who’s last name is different than mine. The port actually ask me to produce something that proves he is my son and that I’m not kidnapping an 18 year old boy , 10 inches taller than me. That would be a birth certificate?!!!. What? Why he is 18?! Well 21 is the cut off in the seaport. No sweat , my diligence in scanning documents and this amazing scannable app. Saved me at the port. The person in the counter was wowed ! With how I uncomplicate what would have been a complicated check in. Thank you Scannable and BOX!

A true time saver for scanning things on the go!. This app has truly been a blessing, as I own and operate an IT managed services/consulting business, and am often visiting clients or managing projects onsite. Unlike the plethora of other PDF-generating scan apps out there, this one creates the cleanest and clearest images, especially if the document or photo has folds or other imperfections. I also find the ability to easily switch output format between PDF and Image file type to be extremely convenient. Last but certainly not least, once I have all my scans ready to go, I usually need to email or text them to someone quickly. This app seamlessly flows into the Apple’s native Mail app, invokes a new message, and automatically attaches the file(s). I work with many different applications and software, especially mobile versions, so if you are a “road warrior” like myself, I strongly recommend this app. Time is money, and Scannable has saved me quite a lot of both! Thank you to the developers, and please keep up the great work!

Replaced my physical scanner. I have used scannable for quite a few years now. Originally, I used it when I needed to scan items when I was away from home and my document scanner. At some point the scans became so good and so easy, I stopped using my physical document scanner. I have one wish and one complaint. I withheld only one star, though both are highly annoying. My wish is that I did not have to make so many keystrokes to file my scanned documents using Apple’s native Files functionality. It appears the developers are focused on directing me to their own cloud storage, in which I have zero interest. I want to scan and file the document on iCloud. I should not have to navigate around Cape Horn to do this! My complaint is that the font color (white) used in several areas of the program offers almost zero contrast with the white background color. I even had to write this review in Notes because I couldn’t see what I was typing in the review text window provided by Scannable. In normal use, when I am trying to file a scan using the Files functionality, I can’t see the “cancel” or little file folder on the top line of the display. I just go from memory as to where they are. This started a perhaps two years ago. I’ve had two new iPhones and upgraded to several versions iOS and iPadOS, but the problem persists.

Use it many times each day - a must have tool. I am required to submit completed and signed work orders to my employer after each job is completed. The app allows me to sit in my car, place the completed forms on my car seat, take a snapshot of each page, title the PDF form with the work order number and the client’s name, hit send and “whoosh”...it is sent via email, or to the fax number designated by my employer. And a few minutes later I receive an email receipt stating that the tax has been received by the specific fax number for the department I had sent it to. The app also can send PDF files directly to an email address as well. This app allowed me submit my daily work results in real time rather than waiting till I arrived home and copied each page to a thumb drive and then transferring the PDF’s onto emails. A great tool for all of us who work in the field each day in our “mobile office”.

Excellent app that has stopped working on my iPhone. Scannable is the quickest, easiest way to transfer paper documents into OCR. I use it every day. However, the most recent version has acted squirrelly on my iPhone. After I send a document to Evernote, it tells me the documents have not been saved and asks me if I really want to delete them. But I just saved them to Evernote, so what is it talking about? This is a new step that I don’t understand. Also, it now sometimes gets hung up. After I click save I go to a screen that asks me to select Camera Roll or Evernote. I tap on Evernote but nothing happens. I’m stuck. So I have to quit the app, start it up again, go back to the same screen, and then it usually completes the process.

Evernote Scannable. Evernote Scannable is a very useful productivity application that makes it simple to scan various types of documents and add it to your Evernote notes. Users can modify their settings to control which notebook scans go to as well as if all notes should automatically be placed in Evernote itself. Scans of documents are of good quality with automatic cropping and adjustments making it easy to tell what was scanned in case you want to reference it later. Scanned documents can also be shared easily with others or sported in multiple formats. The app is even more useful for those with a Scansnap Scanner allowing for captured documents to be scanned. Evernote Scannable is a worthwhile download for those invested in the Evernote family of products.

Magical App. This really is magic to use. I've used many of the other scanning apps in the App Store and all are so much more difficult to use than this one. I love how it takes the scans without even pressing a button and I also like the option to do things manually. I send everything to Evernote and the integration is so simple. The only thing I wish for is the ability to do my own color correction. Sometimes the app corrects colors on pieces of artwork like it was a text document and that doesn't work for all things. Also, I would like to add tags to the documents before I send them to Evernote. I wrote this review a long time ago and still love the app. I love how automatic it is, but sometimes wish there were more manual options especially when I am scanning something with very light text and I’d like it to be more legible or a photo with glare. There are other scanning apps that can do that and it would be nice if this one could too. Despite that, for most purposes, this is my go to scanning program.

Works perfectly…sometimes. This is great idea. I keep my records digital. And my phone is my office. So in theory this is the perfect app to have since I can convert live documents simply using my iphone camera. But oddly it doesn’t work very well. Sometimes. For example, many times the picture isn’t quite right so I retake the picture. But I can’t delete the old picture. (It should be quite simple as the App is set up to do this. There are in fact two ways to delete. But neither work. Sometimes.) This means I generate a PDF with an extra junk page(s). Very unprofessional. Very frustrating. I will have to start looking for a different app… PS It would be helpful If I could load prior pictures into this app to create a PDF. BUT I CANT.

Scannable is FANTASTIC. I use this app a million times a day. It has made my and my co-workers lives so much easier. No longer do we need to be worried about fax machines that break or are having trouble with the line. Nor do we need to worry about having a poor copy of an original to try and read and work with. Scannable scan a perfect copy every time, it looks as sharp and clean as the original... and it is sent and received so quickly. I can no longer live without this app. I use it for work, for legal and medical paperwork, and a million other things as well. Thank you for this great app... l LOVE IT!

Excellent App, but Needs more Save Options. I really like this app and use it constantly. From scanning papers that need to be signed and sent somewhere to logging receipts etc etc I definitely get great use from this awesome app. My only request would be to offer more locations to “save” to. The app gives me the option to save to Evernote or my Picture folder. How about saving to iCloud Drive or Google Drive or my downloads folder now that Apple has made that available. I rarely use Evernote and saving a PDF in my picture folder doesn’t make sense to me. So please add more “save locations.” Otherwise, really great app that gets a ton of use.

Good app, but resets sometimes. Would like default option.. I use this app often, it's the scanning app I prefer. I do have two issues. One is that regularly the app resets, and acts as if I've never used it. I'll need to scan something quickly, and it'll go through the whole animated icon, this is how this works routine. I know how it works, I've been using it for awhile. I don't need the tutorial. I don't know if this is related to updates, but the app data should say "this user had the app installed already, no need for the introduction every time an update is done." Also, I'd like to see a default option to save to camera roll. I don't use Evernote. Every time I have to choose whether I want the scan in my camera roll, or in Evernote. I *always* save to my camera roll. I'd like this to be a saved preference.

Best scanning app. I’ve used all the scanning apps and for clarity this is the best. For ease-of-use this is the best. To make this app better it would be nice if you could save directly to your OneDrive or iCloud. I paid the fee for Evernote and Scannable for a year I thought it would open the ability to save to OneDrive, but this is the drawback that I found. I’d like to be able to scan & save directly to one of my cloud services. I usually email it to myself and then Open the PDF with adobe then save it to one of my drives. It would be nice if I didn’t have to do that. However, it’s still the best scanning app out there and I continue to use the free Scannable app. I liked being able to save documents in my Scannable app for more than 30 days, (which when you pay the monthly service fee, you can). However, if I could save it directly to my OneDrive I wouldn’t need to save it in my Scannable app. Add this one thing & I’m a paying customer again. If this is not important for you I highly recommend this app.

Changed my life!. I love sharing this app with anyone that will listen! I have saved medical forms, school forms, flyers, schoolwork, kids artwork (excellent for this because it scans just the artwork!), birthday invitations, any form that I may need to easily access, and even yard sale items (it “scans” the item in so that there is no busy background - I do put item against a solid background to help with scanning). It scans in pdf or pictures. Paired with Evernote, this has made putting my hands on “that paper” so much easier! I have used it for everything. My husband and I were closing on a piece of land and the seller needed another signature from his partner and instead of having to wait, I scanned it in quickly from my phone and forwarded for the seller and within minutes, we had the form back and could finish the closing! Love, love, love this app! And I NEVER take the time to write reviews, but again, I share this one with everyone.

Great app, sometimes unreliable. This app is great for scanning documents, however I have had issues with sending the files to my email. It often takes a very long time to send, which is very infuriating. I’ve missed a deadline because the email took over half an hour to send. Now, I have to upload it to google drive to speed things up, and that’s just a lot of unnecessary work to get my PDF to my computer. Additionally, sometimes the app would reset as if it were my first time using it. I’d have to go through all the instructions on how to use the app, and it’s very stressful to deal with when I’m nearing a deadline.

Great but needs minor update. I love this app for scanning. It auto selects the page area and I can save multiple pages under one PDF. My only complaint is when I’m saving the file to my phone files, rather than emailing immediately. I have to use the “send” rather than “save” button, which is counter intuitive. And then when you’ve selected the location, the buttons to save, start a new folder, or cancel are all white…on a very light background. I couldn’t see the words and it was pure chance I hit the right thing after tapping all around my phone. It would seem an easy fix just to have the font color be darker to contrast the light background.

Effective way to scan on the go. Scannable should be one of your 'must have' apps. I use it to record legible, electronic copies of receipts for warranties and to turn hard copies into soft copies on the go when there is no scanner around. Honestly, it's far easier to use than a regular scanner anyway.

Where has this been all my life. I love this app. I use it regularly and don't even bother with a traditional scanner anymore. This is actually faster to scan, share to desktop and attach. It really earns its keep on the go though.... best app ever.

A great app that has replaced my document scanner. The resolution of the camera has been successfully leveraged to allow the iPhone to be used as a scanner. It can scan documents anywhere and I realised recently that I haven’t used my standalone scanner in months. Essentially, it has been replaced for free.

Awesome App. So very easy to use , just put phone about 15cm above document and it dose it by it self , if you don’t like it , because you moved the phone you can canc and start again ., at the other end it’s great quality as well , sign up you won’t be sorry

Good scanning, but bad update. The recent update makes this app annoying to use. Every time I use it (which is frequently) I find the app has logged me out. It also has to show me the cutesy graphics telling me how to use the app EVERY SINGLE TIME and I can’t skip it until the fourth graphic. It no longer saves my default notebook selection and has changed back to the Business Cards notebook as default every time. Seriously, this is just basic usability stuff. Not convinced that any software company in existence actually tests anything before release anymore.

Perfect scan results. Perfect results converting documents from scan, less one star because can only scan to Evernote or pictures and forwarding docs on from pictures and Evernote are not always straight forward.(for me anyway). Would be nice to have a bit more flexibility in that area. The image from scan is quick, clear and so easy. I just use another app on the occasions i cant work out how to forward.

Simple and easy. This is a simple and easy to use tool for fast efficient sending of documents. Has made my business life much easier. Wish I had discovered this years ago.

Can’t see save/cancel buttons when uploading to files on iPhone. Instead of emailing myself files I upload directly to files in iOS. The save/cancel buttons don’t show, so I have to press the blank space and guess where the save function might be. Anyone else have this issue? Impossible to find support on the website hence the review so this is picked up.

Big improvements. I remember downloading and deleting this a year or two ago as it was fiddly and didn’t work. Saw all the five star reviews and gave it another try—they must have fixed it because it scans quickly with just the right amount of editing options for quick fine tuning. Save directly into Evernote makes it a great companion app! Feature request: add tags to notes saved to Evernote (if you can do it without killing the simplicity of the interface. I’m sure you can!)

Does exactly what you want. I love this app because it’s so simple, it doesn’t over complicate the process of scanning yet it does just enough to make your life easy e.g. auto shooting, auto rotate and saves to my Evernote notebooks.

Best use of the iPhone camera. I use scannable to scan all of my receipts into Evernote, it does the job perfectly. As always best to have a process when doing things and the application allows you to save directly into your notebook of choice or send the 'scan' through the app sharing options in iOS. I use it every day and it is a solid part of my workflows!

Eclectic group and fantastic Tapas. We came across El Jardi by chance. Saw the sign from the front of the old building. Arrived just in time for a late tapas. The waiter was very helpful and engaging. He gave us a few suggestions on the tapas and wine. We had the spiced potatoes, sardines, octopus(which was amazing), and the sausage. All good choices. Venue had an upbeat atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. Thoroughly recommend El jardi and we will try it again before we leave Barcelona. Thank you for a great intro to Barcelona.

Best scanner app ever. I’ve personally tried several scanner apps but nothing like this where it enhances my terrible writing and makes everything so perfect was also a big timesaver in lockdown to send all my work to my teachers instead of having to retype them onto my laptop

Amazing. Works better than all the other phone scanners I've used before. Good options on what to do with scanned docs. Being able to scan and send *double sided* documents to my printer is the best. It makes my phone feel like a wireless portable photocopier!!

Efficient. Quick simple and reasonable quality. I love the sync to Evernote feature too. I also like the editing option. I use it for work record keeping, personal documents. I also diligently scan kids school and artwork books and save in Evernote books for future reference, reflections while keeping our small apartment free of papers. Great tool! Only complaint is every so often it resets which means that recent scans go missing...

Simply Amazing. Don't know how I have lived without this app. I use it for work and play. It automatically picks up the documents without a fuss. Sometimes you might have to re-do the scan to ensure it is focused, but once you get the knack of it - I am sure you will not want to live with without it :)

Effective and efficient. Scannable offers high quality copy and is user friendly. Quality is far better than a photo.

Scan anytime anywhere. This app is fantastic for scanning documents to save for later or to email wherever you are. No longer have to be at home or go to Office Works. Has saved me so much time

Great for kids artwork, receipts, .... I can't put crayon and paint pictures through the document feed scanner and this app fills the gap. In fact when my prolific daughter finishes another picture as I'm sitting with her, I just pull out scannable and we're done - I have a record of her artwork incase it gets "lost"! Next review. Most often when apps ask for a review I ignore the request. But not for Evernote and Scanable. They are rock solid and do what I need them to do. Petrol receipts for tax, shopping receipts for records and accounting, kids work and art from school. If even just to be a temporary store before saving somewhere else. It helps me keep organised. Love them.

Scanner review. Amazing scanner. Loved Auto-light and auto-page search-scan feathers. I work in private security industry and this scanner made my work life so easy. Already suggested to my multiple friends and colleagues. Thank you for making this amazing software.

Quality and ease of use is awesome. Love this little app use it all the time to get high quality instant scans. Works perfectly 85% of the time and can really add life back into old receipts and paper work, the other 15% of the time stills works well but can take a few scans

Super useful, highly recommendable. This is one of the few apps that I have literally recommended to friends. It’s super handy, especially if you are a renter and need to be scanning documents on the fly. It’s pretty intuitive, quick, and (your phones camera depending) has rarely resulted in poor scans though you do need to set your scan a bit with contrasting backgrounds and semi decent lighting to make sure you are getting a quality scan.

A traveler's must have!. Traveling for work it is so easy to lose receipts when you're on the road. This app captures the receipt immediately and I can either email to myself straight away or keep in Evernote for retrieval later. So easy to swap from a jpg file to pdf, and multi-page pdf is so easy.

Stopped saving contacts to address book. Updated to ios11 yesterday and now Scannable doesn’t save business cards to phone contacts/address book. I’ve reinstalled the app and still doesn’t save. I tried giving feedback through the app however this is disabled. Would appreciate a fix, this is a great app when working properly.

Easy scanner. Scannable is great to have! You can use it anywhere you are and the quality of the scanned documents are excellent. I highly recommend this app.

Quick, simple and used often. I've stopped using a scanner and just use this app. Much faster! There are other apps with more functionality (ie OCR) but Scannable is so simple to use that I keep coming back to it...

Awesome. Probably the best scanning app in history. It is very efficient in a way that it scans your documents quickly and easily. It is much easier to scan a document than to take a photo of it. The only issue with scannable that I have is that it can’t scan something when it is on like a white desk, or anything else white, but that doesn’t matter, as you can easily move it down to the floor (unless the whole room is white, which I can’t see someone doing unless filming something, and you probably won’t have to scan something in the middle of an act. Very good app, probably worth $10 on the App Store

very useful. Able to copy most documents - the only problem is with reflective surfaces, the built in flash of the phone sometimes over illuminates the document and it cannot be read.

Been using it for years and love it. Such a practical and simple app that does an outstanding job of PDFing documents and sending them as though I scanned them on a printer. I can sign and scan docs which come up really well and the app does a great job of flattening the image if there are folds in the documents. Simple, super useful and free!

Makes me more efficient at work!!. Best scanning app I’ve used, and instead of having to find a physical printer at work, I can scan and upload from wherever I am on the spot! My only gripe is that it automatically resizes A4 to Letter-not sure if I just haven’t found it but it would be good if I could choose the default paper settings!

Simply the best scanner app out there. I literally forgot what does scanner look like in my office. Just read a whinging 3 star rating below regarding too many steps required to save to a Dropbox. Mate, give us a break, it's the EASIEST scan app out there. I was happy to use the scanner function within your Evernote app, but thanks heaps to make a stand alone one.

Edwin Nazarian. This Scan app is very efficient tool to scan any document that I need and the quality of scan is very impressing, I believe this is one of the best apps for any teacher or anyone that works in education department.

App update. Could you please update the app to the latest iOS Version Some buttons doesn’t appear in the latest operating system

Does what it says!. This app is easy to use, doesn’t charge huge subscription fees and does what it says it’ll do. It’s made my life so much easier and I love it. I’ve never written a review before but felt I should for this because a past app I got charged me a subscription to do what this one does easily and for free. You won’t regret it. 👌🏼

Brilliant App. I absolutely love this app. I’ve managed to capture my entire family’s photos & file them digitally. I save all my documents too. I now have everything I need on my phone thanks to scannable. Thank you guys 🙏💕

Evernote scannable. This is a great app. I like how you can crop it even if the picture isn’t in a square or rectangle shape, and the ‘restore’ and ‘enhance’ abilities. I just have one way that I think you could improve it which is that you should be able to rotate it like on camera or photos there are only 4 options, but I think you should be able to rotate it in any direction. This is a very good app, and I would very much recommend it.

So I great. Quick and easy to use. Love that it connects straight to Evernote however you can send to emails as well. Last update has improved speed and accuracy greatly as well.

Great app but Support...impossible. I do love scannable. It’s brilliant. But attempting to notify anyone in support of a bug is impossible. FWIW.- scannable has white buttons (the important ones) on white background. They are invisible. It was sheer dumb luck that I found them. If devs see this, please give me an email I can send screen shots to. You will quickly realise how bad this part of the UI is.

Absolutely MUST have app. Saves time and accessible anywhere. Capture audit evidence, contracts or other documents on the run. Doesn't matter if it's not 100% straight as you can crop as required to maintain a professional finish. When scanning many sheets, it does seem to take longer to recognise the documents.

Awesome app. I use it constantly for work. Certainly easier than a computer scanner. Awesome app! I use it constantly for work. Certainly easier than a computer scanner and results just as good

Very basic. Everytime you open the app it tries to automatically capture a document and there is no option to make manual capture the default setting, you have to choose manual capture every single time and hope it hasn't tried to take random photos in the meantime. Also, no option to use the 2x lens on iPhone 7, which is great in other scanning apps because you can hold the phone higher above the document which helps to keep shadows from your hand out of the photo.

Longtime user -now very frustrated. I had been using this app for a few years and loved its functionality and features. It was very easy to use and many options to either save file to Evernote or your own photo library or share. It hasn’t been updated for over a year and now has a number of bugs not allowing to save or share at all. I am iOS user and it hasn’t worked for over a year. If you are not updating your app take it off the platform and advise users.

Love it.. My scanner died so I was looking for an easy replacement. This one just works. Can save documents or send them easily. I love that it sizes the document correctly. Receipts are long and skinny, A4 documents proportional. Easy to load the document to my bookkeeping software.

Scannable. I have used the Scannable App on my iPhone for many years now and this App is excellent and is simplicity itself being intuitive to use. The App allows brilliant crystal clear scans. Highly Recommend this handy dandy App 😎🥳😎🥳😎.

app updates delete your scans. Last two updates deleted all of my on device scans. No option to export, not sent to recently deleted so we can recover them, just gone forever. So furious. I’ve tolerated their second rate UI, which requires ridiculously unnecessary number of taps to do actions that should be quick and easy (why tap a photo to edit it when its already the selected photo?, because of inertia of changing apps, but deleting my scans during app update (twice!) is the final straw. And forget about trying to get support since Evernote has gobbled up the app. Don't waste your time with this app.

Screen keeps freezing. My scanning screen keeps freezing on me every second time I go to scan something. I can’t even use my camera straight afterwards I have to turn my phone off and on again. I hope this sorts it’s self out soon

Great scanning but fiddly. I have only used one other scanning app and this one is great by comparison but it takes too many steps to do anything. Maybe I haven't set it up correctly but why bother having to choose between 'send' and 'save' AND then 'mail' or 'share' AND then where to share it to (including a mail option again). I just need to save my scans to Dropbox and have to not only go through 3 steps to do it, but also remember whether I am saving or sharing first (sharing by the way which is not intuitive to 'saving' something to Dropbox!). Then... when you want to delete the file you have to go back three screens to the original scan to do it. There doesn't seem to be a way to skip right back to the beginning quickly or to delete right after saving. And if you don't delete your current scan it tries to save it with any new documents you scan in the same file. I'd like it just to scan the document and then ask me what to do with it. One step. And then automatically archive it or take it out of the scanning area ready for me to scan another document. There's definitely benefit in being able to scan multiple docs into one file when I'm travelling but I can do that with the current set up by scanning all the docs before sending/saving. This is a good app but if it weren't so fiddly it would be a great one.

Need to sign in every update. Can someone fix this bug where I have to sign in every time after an update? The evernote app always stays signed in after update but Scannable always logs me out. The app is great and I had given it 5 stars in the past. It’s just this little bug that I’m trying to highlight with my 1 star rating. Thanks team for a great app!

Indispensable. Along with Evernote, I can't live without this app. It makes paperwork & receipt capture quick and easy, and is intelligent enough to even capture blocks of text on plain backgrounds, great for pulling labels off large boxes or appliances for example. Love it!

Superior scanning but fiddly - until you know it well. This is the best quality scanning app I have found and can produce very acceptable copies of business documents through to clipping articles from magazines. It ensures the proportions of scanned documents taken on an angle are corrected and enhances text. You can avoid wonky distorted scans as with other phone scanning apps. The ability to crop ensures that each document page can look like a document scanned on a proper scanner. Can save as pdf or image, named as u wish and saved to other locations or sent by email or message. However it is fiddly to use until you get the knack and understand how to make the most of it. Jumping back and forth is not intuitive however the scanning and editing algorithms underlying this appear very powerful. Bit surprised Evernote has not done more to recognize and enhance this gem. Superior to Adobe, Apple and Microsoft offerings. Still using almost daily after 2-3 years.

Love this App. Easy to scan and send any documents, anytime.

Great Scanner App!. Documents are perfectly centered and very clear. Great quality and easy to use. I use it all the time and highly recommend it!

Awesome App but need to save to other cloud providers or email directly. Best doc scanning app. But limited to only saving to Evernote which is a drag as my trainer uses other cloud providers. If could save to other cloud sites, I would give 5 stars.

Great app!. Very easy and efficient app . Love it!

Scanable. Super bonne application très facile d’utilisation

Lost everything?. Lost all my scans « twice ». The app works great but in the last 2 weeks it ‘’rebooted’’ for no reason and lost all scans. ☹️

Simple effective. I’ve been using this app for a couple years very quick and easy. And always creates a clean copy. Removes shadows squares everything up all automatically. Definitely a decent phone scanning tool.

Please help me!. I've been using scannable for a while and was pretty happy with it until now! I checked my scannable and saw that i have no scan, more! All of them aren't in my phone now! ALL of my previous scans are gone. just disappeared completely. i am freaking out. please please please tell me that they are still somewhere! Please someone help me! That scans was so important to me!

Excellent app. I use this app so much. Very easy and user friendly. Mathew James

Easy to Use but Image not very Sharp. The app is very easy to use but the image comes out a bit blurry. It is convenient to email the scanned document.

Simple et efficace. Franchement le meilleur pour son utilisation. Je ne suis pas techno. et m’en sort facilement. Merci

Doesn’t allow save to files, only camera roll or Evernote. App would be near perfect if it allowed save to iPhone files

So easy. Very easy to use and send documents

A Lifesaver. This app is so easy to use. On more than one occasion it has simplified my life, enabling me to access or send documents from remote places far from both home and office. I'm not particularly tech savvy, but the app instructed me clearly and took care of business quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend it.

Stellar scanner. Can’t be the simplicity and quality… Easy is as easy does!

Decent scanner, but glaring usability issues. Decent scanner, especially since it’s free. Obviously the machine figuring out what’s the background is not flawless, but I accept that’s inevitable. There’s a bug where you can’t delete pages from a file by clicking X, only by clicking Reorder first. And sometimes it doesn’t let you crop - particularly when the cropping box is rotated but the original photo isn’t. And rotating is ridiculously slow, even though it gets the direction wrong all the time. And it resets my connection with my Evernote account? Every once in a while, it shows me all the introductory windows as if it’s my first time using the app. Baffling

Gary Davis. I am unable to delete my scans.????on my new phone

Such a useful app…. Most often.. I use the app all the time & love it’s convenience & simplicity. The one thing I would like to see is the ability to switch which e-mail it sends from. I’ve switched my main e-mail that my apple & phone are registered under because my old e-mail was constantly having issues after updates. App doesn’t allow me to switch so when that e-mail is down, the app is useless. It would be nice to get a response on how to switch e-mail.

Scannable. Very fast and easy to use Gives very clear and good scan

This is easy and fast. Love it! You want to look like a pro. This is the app for you.

Best Document Scanning App. Easy, quick and accurate!

Great on the go !. Far better than taking a JPEG! I recommend to everyone! Thanks scannable

👍👍Best photo scanner that I use all the time👏👏. 👍👍The best photo scanner ever that I use it all the time👏👏

Great App!. Every time I need to send an urgent document from home, it’s Scannable to the rescue! It’s quite a brilliant App! I highly recommend it.

10/10. This is probably my favourite app of all time except for maybe podcasts. Thank you for everything you do.

Always great. I’ve been using this app for years and it’s always been great- easy to use, clear scans. Overall great app

Awesome and can’t live without!. Great app

Love It But… 2 Feature Requests!. Love the app but I’d love the ability to default to manual at all times and also be able to select from photos to “scan” because I tend to take photos of my receipts but it’s such a process to add it via the Evernote Mobile app, having this functionality would be great and reduce the file size for those image receipts.

Love it. Scannable does a wonderful job of helping me organize my life, seriously. I love how it crops documents that I lay on the table to record either to file away into a category like all the utilities in my house or books that I am reading and want to refer to covers and tables of contents. But you can make it work for you however, you wish it to do so. Just start using it a little bit every now and then then all of a sudden you’ll find you can’t imagine not having it ever before. Anyways, I like it a lot. David Millican, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Old dog learned new trick😁. Can’t believe how easy it was for me to download and use this app within a couple of minutes. Have had no end of frustration trying to scan and print documents from my phone/MacBook. Finally mastered printing a doc from an email but the issue was scanning pages from a workbook on my scanner/printer and then printing them. I just could not figure it out. Retired senior, self taught and living alone without children or grandchildren 😆. Saw this app recommended on YouTube and am happy with how simple and intuitive it was. Thank you.

Better than a scanner. App is easy to use and gives clearer pictures of documents than a scanner.

Easy to use. It was extremely easy to use and the picture was clear.

Horrendous autofocus. Most of the time doesnt focus on the document and shoots a picture fully blurred

Easy to use. Love the simplicity. Fast and easy. Love it

The best scanning app. Don’t change anything and keep it free. Amazing scanning app.

Love this app. This app works so well. I told our accountant about it and he is using it now in his business!

Handy accurate and quick usually. That title says it all except sometimes it just doesn’t find the image.

Meilleur scanner ever. Meilleur app pour scanner des reçus. Je les ai pas mal toute testées et c’est la meilleure. La plus rapide, la plus efficace et la plus facile à utiliser.

How I like it?. It is very easy to use and I can do so much with it. Real time saver!!

Pourrait être intéressant si…. Si on pouvait enregistrer en PDF sans passer par le compte evernote

Works well. Quite straight forward to navigate for us that are not to phone tech savvy.

Shadows are automatically removed. Scanning school work for homeschooling supervisor. The pics are incredibly more legible. Awesome app.

Almost perfect. This is a good app. A really good app. Integrated with Evernote but also works stand-alone. Knows about whiteboards and engineering paper. One flaw, that I wish they’d fix: if the automatic mode has a hard time determining document borders, it will keep trying and trying until you get tired of holding the phone and switch to manual. The switch to manual requires a menu-based mode change when it could just be a button. In addition, a bug crept in for manual cropping, where the preview of the corner you have selected is mostly black. Reported months ago, and it workers unlikely that it will ever be fixed.

Brad. Awesome. Excellent App 👍🏽 Really great app. Thanks a ton.

D’OR’’GEN’ Amazing!. The most amazing scanning app out there. I do all my business with this app. It’s the best!

Satisfied user!!!. Easy

So Easy!. I’m not tech savvy at all! This app is so easy to use. It’s quick and easy!

Very Good Scans. The scan quality and document identification is top notch and I haven't found a better app in that regard. The only complaint I have is that it crashes occasionally (once every 3 or so documents) but it saves my scans so it's never more than a minor nuisance.

Wow. So far, amazing app. What a convenience!!!

Very impressed. This program is very user-friendly, & was able to send 12 pages in one file. Am truly impressed with it’s speed & results!

A Foundation Tool in my Workflow. This is the easiest to use and most reliable document capture tool I’ve found to date. I’ve used several over the years, and this is hands down my favorite. You should download this App if you need to capture anything and make it digital. It’s not just for Evernote user. Why I use it: - Fast and responsive. - Simple to use - Does ALL of the heavy lifting for me - Easy to edit with multi-point cropping, image enhancement, and organizing your scans before sending - No ads to sell other products - It’s free How I use it: - Connecting multiple documents into 1 PDF - Making documents and receipts digital - After a meeting, taking an image of the white board - When I get a product, taking a record of serial numbers and related information

Love this app!!!. I have had it several yrs! I use this app every chance I can because it crops for you and comes in as PDFs, so business accept it as an actual Document. It doesn't look like a Photo that was just taken of the document. Very cool App, Grateful. Needs a little more user friendly options for beginners but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. I’ve helped so many friends, family and co-workers out by showing them this app to get their documents submitted properly in legal matters.

Best scanner app I have found.. Ease of use is outstanding! Stated by a UX designer. Without the need to press a photo capture button I can focus upon keeping my tablet still for the shot. Even so, if I cause a tad of blur the app resolves it. No more deleting and retaking! This has saved half of my workflow time. Everything appears where I want it in Evernote beautifully. More than 5 star worthy. This is quality design paired with quality performance. Magnificent! Yay!!! 100% recommended.

Lost settings when updating. I love the Scannable app, but one thing really bugs me: every time the iOS app updates, all my settings are lost (revert to defaults) and I have to reset them. The most annoying example: I want every scan to go to Evernote by default, and I have to remember to reset this preference every time an update occurs (and they're fairly frequent.) Other apps seem to preserve my settings when they update; why not Scannable?

Unusable unless have great network connection. I had a poor connection and then all of a sudden none of the saving or sharing buttons would do anything. Every time I open the app it says it failed to save a file, um why not save it locally in my own Evernote app? Also switching to network and off wifi I had a decent connection but the app was still unresponsive in this state. Cannot even submit feedback because of the connection (why can't I go through email?). Also has bugs where they tried to print a integer but shows an optional integer on the recents page for how long until the scans are deleted.

Simple and easy. I love the app, love the simplicity. I scan every receipt, bills, credit cards and documents. It is really handy(amazing) to type in something and have Evernote find it. We always go back to a restaurant and wonder what did we have last time that we liked. Can just type in the name of the restaurant and there is a copy of the receipt with the details of our meal. For work, I have a copy of a document and if I want to get the details on something, just type in the related info and boom, Evernote provides.

Excellent Scanner. Scannable is a great scanner. Pictures are clear, after taking a scan Scannable is able to delete what is not necessary on the perimeter such as the contrasting background, fingers holding the page, etc. The only negative feature is that Scannable does not preserve the scans for very long. I have often not printed a page only to find out that it was deleted a week later. This is a feature that I hope is improved however, the software is not designed for long term storage thus far.

Clumsy to store and share. The image capture functionality of this application works extremely well. Unfortunately, all of the functionality after that is very clumsy to use. The app tends to lock up and will not send the shared information by email or even to Evernote. Once you capture the images, you frequently have to restart the app in order to be able to send or store the scan. If this can be fixed, this will be a five star app.

Save options too limited. I like the app’s operation. It seems to detect the document borders nicely and rapidly acquires a scan. But the only save options are Camera Roll and Evernote. Scans need to go to the customer’s desired file location or the app is of little use. Also, while it’s nice that an option is provided for switching between jpg and pdf formats, the control for that is so obscure that I didn’t notice it at first and had no idea what the tiny little button did. What would really help is to use the “share” methodology that other apps do to copy to the clipboard, to the major cloud services, a choice of one of the PDF apps on the device... Then it could be a really good app.

Stop Resetting On Every Update!. What would it take for Scannable to stop resetting all settings back to default each time the app is updated? To add insult to injury it forces the user to go through the tutorial as well. Just because I updated the app, it doesn’t mean I forgot how to use it. Additionally, the flash set to ON never activates upon launch, but only if you tap the flash icon (you don’t have to change anything. You just have to tap it and then leave to activate the flash). This is just silly, even my banking app can turn the flash on when camera is activated to scan, and the bank devs are serious simpletons. Cmon scannable devs, please get your house in order.

Great product but .... Its a great product, quickly recognizes images focuses and scans. UI tweaks are where it falls short, in particular business cards come in multiple formats these days, and Scannable doesnt recognize the small ones that are quite common now, and the UI lets you only switch from image to PDF, not to biz card. I'd post this on their site, but there is no way to navigate the maze under "App Support" link above to find anything on Scannable, and the ticket posting all relates to its sister "Evernote" (which is also great).

Business card scanning does not work. It’s great for scanning documents. It was my go-to before that became a native iOS feature. But since it’s built in now, I don’t need it for that. The one thing I’d like it to do is scan business cards and extract the data, an advertised feature. However, while it DOES recognize that a scan is a business card (I can tell because the suggested file name is “Business Card”), it does not extract the data and allow me to create a new contact. All I can do is save a scan of a business card. Not very useful. Maybe that feature requires an Evernote account? If so, that should be specified somewhere. But it is great at scanning documents.

Ditch the scanner. If you’ve ever spent time signing, scanning and emailing documents then stop now and get this app. The ease of which you can sign, scan and email a PDF (or image if you like) of a signed document is amazing. The camera automatically recognizes a document, realigns it (if you take it at a weird angle) and converts it to perfectly contrasted black and white. Then it puts it all together in a PDF you can email right from the app. I never write app reviews, but this is one of those truly brilliant apps that really does solve a problem and will truly save you time. Love it!

Used to be awesome!. We just upgraded to iPhone 14 ProMax phones. This wonderful app, which I have been using for a few years, no longer works completely. It seem sharing to our iCloud works fine. So there is that. However, trying to send by email, as I have done hundreds of times, results in the phone ringing 3 times, causing the flash to go off once, and returning to the app as normal - without sending the email. We have been using Spark for our default email client. Always worked fine. Switched back to the default Apple Mail app. Same result. Hopefully, Evernote will fix this. Great little app!

Unimpressed & lots of extra work. Downloaded to make scanning to PDF easier—not necessarily to go into Evernote. If you select PDF as the “automatic” file setting, it not only will make you take “all or nothing” (if you uncheck a bad scan & try to save multiples to your camera roll to use in other applications), you have to either delete the session or save even the crappy/half-doc scans and then delete them later. LSS, saving as “PDF” creates PNG files—and then you have to convert to JPEG in another program to convert to PDF. Just spent over an hour and half renaming, reformatting and converting 78 scans from a single session. Hate this program & don’t recommend unless you want it ONLY for Evernote. That’s the ONLY way it is convenient!! Ugh. I’m sticking with Dropbox scanner, b/c at least it scans & saves in the format you need.

Still Easiest & Most Convenient Scan App. I’ve been using Scannable for years now and every time another app is updated with skin technology for the iPhone is updated with skin technology I compare it against scannable only to find that it is steel the better scan app. High quality scans, automatic adjustment options, instant save to Evernote if you have it along with easy share to others or saving to your own as PDF files or photo.

Love this app, but.... During this time of online teaching Scannable has been such a time-saver, except when I have to re-install it. Every so often, after sending a scan to my computer via airdrop, the screen goes to white and I can’t use the app. At that point I have to delete it and re-install it. Otherwise, I am completely satisfied. I love that I am able to edit the document before sending. So handy.

Needed PDF documents. Coworker showed me Evernote’s Scannable app on his iPhone. Didn’t have time to run home and scan on my desktop. Then find the documents wherever my computer stores them. Hassle city. Took a certifying exam for continuing education. Scan it on iPhone and Evernote’s pdf program captures it and prepares it for email or storage. Puts a copy into the cloud and I just had to put email address in. Evernote recognized my past emails to this institution. Few keystrokes and it filled in the address for me. Easy peasy. Very satisfied.

Where have you been all my life??. I have to admit: I procrastinate about scanning and emailing things...receipts to insurance, etc. It's just SO much trouble! Find receipt, go downstairs, load it in the scanner, turn on PC, find the document and email it...so many steps and time! So I procrastinate. Then my daughter told me about this app and voila! My life is so much simpler. My HSA just requested a receipt and I WAS READY! Just open the app, snap a pic and email it right from my phone. Could not have been simpler. Thank you!

Like the app, waiting for tag capability. Scannable is a great app, particularly in its integration with Evernote. I just scanned a doctor's office receipt into my Evernote before I even sat back down in the lobby, for instance. My only complaint is that while I can file notes into my Evernote folders directly from the app, there is no tagging capability. As a result, I still have to open up the note again and go through the tagging process in a separate app. It's very close to being super efficient, I wish you could do that last step in the Scannable app as well.

As simple as possible. This scanning app distills the scanning process down to only what is necessary. It takes all of the hassle out, leaving behind a beautiful, minimal, and useful scanner. You don’t touch the screen even once, until you are finished scanning and ready to export or email the scan. NOTE: There is a bug on iOS 11. A boolean is flipped when exporting the file via the share sheet, causing it to move to the Done screen when you cancel the export and to stay in place when you do successfully export.

Excellent interface to Evernote. Really enjoy using this product. It has a seamless interface to Evernote. The scanning quality is superb. I was amazed at the ability of this product to scan a blueprint which is 2‘ x 3‘. The quality was excellent and I was able to stand on a chair and take pictures from this app of the blueprint. I have a $550 scanner sitting on my desk and I use this app much more because of the convenience.

Great App. I’m a college student and I like to take notes by hand. However, it becomes difficult to store all of my notes long term. Evernote allows me to quickly scan through hundreds of pages (with a fantastic and efficient automatic cropping tool), compile them into a single pdf, and send them to my computer to save for time eternal. Really a lifesaver and a must have if you want to scan anything without having to contend with an old printer-scanner.

Great app with one new flaw. This is a great app for scanning documents and photos. However, in recent years, when trying to “send” a scan to my iOS Files folder, the “Save” text in the top right corner on the Files screen (within this app) seems to be white on a white background, and it used to be another color. I clicked there by accident once and now know to click there, but they just need to update the text color to be visible, and I’ll update to 5 stars

Distance learning with scannable. I’m a second grade teacher. One of my parents told me about Scannable early on after we started distance learning. It’s been a key element for me- I’ve uploaded daily math pages on seesaw and the kids have the tools there to do the math and turn it in digitally- that meant that I didn’t have to waste time creating new materials- I could just use what I already had- I had other things to figure out- but scannable sure helped in uploading worksheets at least- thanks- it came in handy- I hope I won’t need it in the fall though

Helpful. Scannable is great for my work as a freelance writer. Previously I tried to transfer all my old paper files to computer using my printer/scanner, but what a pain! I had to set it up, put each page into print~scanner, press scan. . . . .and wait. . . . . THEN I'd have to move the scanned page to a file or folder. It took forever to scan a few pages in one file! With Scannable, it takes just a few seconds to point, click, & save. I also use Scannable to grab magazine or newspaper articles whether I'm at home, at the dentist, or riding in the car. Scannable is great! Thanks!!

New version coerces you into doing what it wants rather than what you want. This used to be simplest way to scan a piece of paper and have it on my computer as a PDF moments later. If you try to scan your insurance or ID card in the middle of an urgent medical incident however, it will keep forcing you to save it as a business card, because it is card shaped? So anyway if your medical provider asks for scans of your ID and insurance good luck trying to get a simple PDF file; you are allowed to view the scan in Evernote, but beyond that no download image file is available and you end up with two non-business cards saved. Deleting and never coming back.

Love it. Could do with some enhancements. I love the app and it works seamlessly. The only challenge that I have with it is that every time there is an update, it seems to forget the settings for the file type, and it disconnects from Evernote. While it’s probably a simple fix to re-enter the email address and password for Evernote, it would be better if the application remember the previous settings. Other than that small request, It’s my go to application for scanning.

Won’t save scans to camera roll. Nice UI, easy to use, hence the two stars, but I can’t get it to save images to my camera roll. I tried over and over again and it would just create multiple “Scannable” albums in my Photos, but never save the scan. I did not give it access to all my photos, which of course the app does not need. Also, why is this app asking for access to my local network? What could it possibly need with my local network? Network scans? MAC addresses? IPs? It’s not controlling any other local devices :/ Update: yep, I came here to say the same thing. I’m going to give it one less star because they haven’t corrected the issue. You don’t need access to my whole photo roll. And you don’t need access to my local network.

Love, love, love scannable.. I’ve been using scannable for a couple of years now and it is absolutely wonderful. Instead of taking a picture and picking up everything around it, you can hover over a piece of paper and it will pick up only the paper. If you have something small just place a blank sheet behind it and it works great. I use this app daily at work to keep from locking up my office to go to another location to use the copier/scanner. Saves a lot of time. I also like being able to send as a pdf.

Essential tool for organizing. I wouldn't say you can't survive without it, but scanning items to digital took much longer and many more work-around steps before this app. It is one of the best companion apps and I constantly rely on it. If you rely on Evernote, you need this app. Every printed item such as receipts, recipes, hand-written post-its that I might need to keep, I use scannable to move it from printed to digital. I can store it as a photo or as a pdf... all without having to waste physical space or phone memory. For scanning receipts and the like, this is my go-to, even when a traditional scanner is available. It's that easy.

Wow. Tried them all. Ms office lens, CamScanner, fines anner. All I want to do is scan documents for signature in to avoid a trip across the office to the photocopier. Corporate email is restrictive on laptops for some site access. But this, Hands down the most effortless process, shaving off several phone taps, swipes, process adjustments, format changes, etc. click open (it starts looking), click snap (it intuitively crops), click send (default to pdf and to my email for download and saving). Sooooo incredibly slick and easy!!!!!!

Kinda life changing. Scanning to a computer or printer has always sucked. Usually takes far longer than expected- if you even accomplish the goal. Using your phone with Scannable is a breeze anytime anywhere. The app automatically frames and upgrades quality (removes shadows, creases). If you have Evernote (also recommended) all scans are automatically saved to and available there. I’ve turned at least a dozen people on to Scannable and they all love it too.

Essential — very solid go to tool. It's long been one of my essential apps. Saves so much time and effort to scan directly to Evernote and not have to save to camera roll. Also use for any time I want to scan some papers to PDF for sending to anyone. Love its accuracy and ease of smart finding the corners of anything and skewing to make the image flat. Manual crop adjust is great too. Just wish had ability to also save in color or gray scale too not just b/w text/image - hence 4 not 5 stars. Update: for some time now never remembers my Evernote login and even now doesn’t even recognize my account at all

Wonderfully Useful. Parallax is bad when documenting paper items. While a camera is great for documenting items, lighting is a problem too. When you try to take the picture front-on is can create bad lighting/shadows, but when you go off-center, you get good lighting but bad parallax (aka “keystoning”). Scannable knows about and CORRECTS parallax !!! Wow!! So cool. That is just one a feature. Auto-acquisition of images, ability to determine borders, saving multiple captures to either photo roll or Evernote: also nice.

Screen rotation needs to be added. I love scannable. Been using it for years. And it works flawlessly from a phone. I just bought an iPad to do office duties from, and went to this trusty app. It still works great, but after scanning and generating a PDF for emailing, the app doesn’t accommodate desktop style working. Fortunately, typing doesn’t change, but it would be awesome if the app would sense portrait/landscape orientation. Typing things vertically is a little disorienting.

Not as good as it used to be. This used to be my favorite scanning app, but as another recent reviewer noted, it’s become glitchy to the point that it’s a hindrance rather than a help. For example, when doing a multi-page scan, if I try to delete a single page I’ve already scanned (either due to poor quality, me putting them in the incorrect order, etc), the app won’t let me delete it, despite the fact that it provides the option to. I tap the options menu on the individual page, tap delete, and nothing happens. I have to delete the entire thing and start from scratch. Such a bummer.

Love this thing! Saved me a few times!. I love using Scannable linked with Evernote. It has saved me a few times when I have misplaced documents but I have them always on my phone. The only criticism that I have is that it is actually too fast and there is no pause. When I am scanning multiple pages, if I don’t cover the camera with my hand then it scans a page twice as I am setting down a new page. This could be operator error also, since I am very lax at reading instructions. Otherwise, five stars.

I have learnt to work with its short comings. I am using it as it’s the best solution I have. The dissatisfying part is that it cuts off some pages and no matter how many times you try, you cannot capture that full page. To double down on how annoying that can be, you cannot delete the half pictures page , even though there is a trash icon to delete specific pages. I have tried using that to edit and redo those pages but it doesn’t work. I have to delete the complete document and redo it from scratch. Very frustrating.

Faster, better scannable app without restrictions. I was so tired of the restrictions and lack of responsiveness, speed, and overall use ability that some of the other large name apps produced. Evernote scannable is much easier faster and without restrictions. For example, I can easily send any document any way that I want to and choose whether or not to save it to Evernote or save it to my phones photos.

Daily User. I am a scatterbrained, middle-aged, professional who struggles to balance work and home life. I spent far more time tail-chasing BEFORE I added Scannable and Evernote to my life. Keeping receipts no longer adds to the clutter on my desk and armoire, I am able to quickly save handwritten notes and back of the envelope/front of the napkin calculations and musings. Same with business cards. It's a great app if you are constantly dancing between the paper and digital worlds...and who isn't? This app marries them perfectly.

Best For Those On-The-Go. For those who spend a lot of time on the road switching from one project to another and this app is a must. In my case we are required to send paperwork for expense reimbursement and this app makes it easy to do so. It cleans out the edges, adjusts lighting and converts the copies to PDF or JPEG with one click making it seem like you had a full scanner with you at all times. It also gives you the option to share a single or multiple sheets and you can choose which email address to send them from on that same window.

Poor camera performance with latest iPhones. I have been using Scannable for the last 10 years, on and off. The app was always great, but with the recent camera system changes in iPhone, it has become almost impossible to scan my handwritten notes reliably. At close range, the notes are blurred. At longer range, the app fails to detect the edges of the notes consistently and I end up having to take the picture manually. Business cards have become almost impossible to scan. I would love to be able to provide feedback, but there is no easy way from the app to do so. Therefore, I’m leaving a one star review to hope that the developer will pay attention, and fix these issues.

App restart splash screens and account info need to constantly be set. It’s a great app when it is set up and ready for use, however the app constantly updates and when you need to use it you have to go through an annoying five screen information preview and enter your Evernote account information When you need to make a quick scan this is NOT the app to use because it is an inevitable that it will not ready because of a recent update. There should be a setting to turn off updates for this app to avoid this from happening in the future.

If you use Evernote you want this. This app is pretty awesome – a little bit unsettling at first - at least with the default settings - it is basically looking to scan anything in front of the camera as soon as you open the app. But once you get used to it you see why it works like that – it's just very quick. I had been using Turbo Scan, which is a very solid scanning app also, but given how much quicker Scannable is, and the fact that pretty much everything I scan goes into Evernote anyway, I think this will be my default from now on.

Scannable Undeniably the Best. As a entrepreneur and small business owner, I am constantly entertaining useful, and not so useful, business tools and software to help streamline my day to day tasks. And, after most “free trials,” unfortunately I usually end up deleting their Icons from my devices. It’s been over two years now and not only is the Scannable Icon prominently on my desktop, it has proven to be an indispensable tool in my business. Easy operation, accurate and clear transfers, rock solid reliability. Brian, SchoolsForSale, Inc and TransDignity, Inc.

Loved this for years and sad it now has bug. The app now doesn’t allow you to “share” the image into a cloud drive. The button to continue once the drive location is selected is missing and there is no way to even go back without closing the app. I have to email myself scans and then open them and save from my laptop later. Sad because being able to properly store receipts and documents into my cloud filing system was key.

Clean scans and small file sizes. This works pretty well. On a black and white original it will give a clean white background, something hard to achieve with the camera. The file sizes are relatively smaller than achieved with the camera as well. With an evernote account (the free level) you can save a series of scan images as a single pdf document. Without an account the app will save separate jpeg images to your photo library. It would be great if those images had names that sort by document and page, but they don’t. The page number isn’t zero padded, so 1, 10, and 100 sort together. The document ID is last, so pages are collated in your listing by document– all of the first pages, then all of the tenth pages... I’d use an evernote account if the documents were encrypted with a key private to me. As it is, everything stored at evernote is vulnerable to data breach.

Best Scanner App, Hands Down. I haven't found an app even close to comparable to this one. Other apps only allow a certain number of free scans before they prompt you to buy the app or subscribe to their service, but not scannable! They also don't put a watermark on documents scanned. It works great with iCloud, too! You can add directly to iCloud from the app or you can air drop to whatever device you would like. Not to mention the quality is amazing considering it only utilizes the phones camera. I highly recommend this app!

Great Scanning App, but It Resets Settings and Forgets Evernote Password. Scannable is a great app that scans receipts, bills, statements, etc. Another app tried only scanned when it had enough light, but scannable will use your flash to assist scanning in low light. The only thing I don’t like about it is that periodically it resets settings and loses the login to Evernote which prevents saving the scans to Evernote until I re-log in. This means that I have to take my receipts home to scan instead of scanning before I leave the store I also have to reconfigure Scannable to save to PDF which is the way way to save documents.
