Not great. Typos, things that don’t make sense. Some of the explanations are written in a condescending or pretentious way. Most of the time the questions have nothing to do with the passages. The freebie questions were good, then it was downhill from there. Not reflective of mcat prep at all. App issues too, sometimes the passages are just blank or takes a while load. If you’re studying for the mcat, do yourself a favor and just shell out for the official prep.

All around awesome!. This app is great on so many levels. Content appears spot on with my other study resources, so I know I'm getting worthwhile practice. The answer explanations help to really give me more to chew on. Whether I got the answer right or not, I always read them. The look of the app is great; calming colors, intuitive functionality. And lastly, the company is sincerely there to help! I had a technical issue with the app on my phone, and only 30 minutes after emailing them I got an actually useful and pleasant response back that completely fixed my issue. That's great service!

Ok at first.... It was okay at first, but then I hit a question that made me just delete the app altogether. It gave a mnemonic device to remember the “8 essential amino acids” (theres 9) and gave a list of 10 (I know, right?) left me wondering how many other questions were blatantly wrong.

Best MCAT app by far. I have used a multitude of MCAT apps to help me study and this is the best hands down. Super user friendly, tons of content. Doesn't rely on you doing a bunch of extra stuff you don't have time to do and you can review what you want and the questions are extremely accurate as far as content of the 2015 exam. Totally worth the upgrade as well. I wish I had downloaded it sooner. I love this app and its so easy to to start studying really fast too when your on the go!

Exceptional Study Aid. I'm preparing to take my MCAT this summer and this app has taken my studying to the next level. Instead of playing bejeweled or browsing twitter while I'm out in about, I use this app to keep myself fresh. The questions are a great balance of clinical application and content-based discrete questions, which really helps when I do my in-depth studying.

Phenomenal. Although I have 2 years before I even have to take the MCAT, I can already tell this app has improved my ability to recognize patterns and has improved my study habits. Plus, the varying categories act as a great study tool for my current classes!

A very useful MCAT app!. I am really glad that I bought this app. It has a lot of practice questions (over a 1000) covering majority of the topics for the new MCAT. The best app!. I love this app, I had the original version before I upgraded and I love the upgrade just as much. It has so many good tips and questions, and since the update, it has included all material for the new MCAT. I love this app, the customer service is astounding as well. Very efficient and they get back to you as soon as possible. You actually talk to a person, and they even check up on how your studying has been. Great app for us prospective future doctors!

Fear of MCATS😰😱...is cured!!! 😀. I discovered this app 2 days ago and I have been obsessed with it ever since. Before I opened this app, I was afraid, and unmotivated to study. This App helps me refresh on the concepts I forgot about while bored or waiting in line. I absolutely love this app and I'll recommend it to all of my classmates.

Extremely helpful!. I am not going to take my MCAT, but I am studying for my PCAT and I've found that a lot of GRE and MCAT resources are really helpful. Seeing as this was a free app, I just downloaded it to see what it had to offer. It ended up being extremely helpful to me with quizzes and very thorough explanations to the answers. You are able to keep track of what you get wrong, right, and weren't sure of. The app also provides mnemonic devices for main concepts that need to be known for exams like these. I did a lot of note-taking and screenshotting with this app lol and it has been very helpful. The full version is about $20 and I would imagine that is even more helpful, but I just haven't purchased it yet. Overall, I would definitely recommend this app to anyone taking a major admissions exam such as the PCAT, DAT, obviously the MCAT, or anything that is of that nature. Thanks for making this app!:)

AMAZING!!!. I love this app sooooooooooo much!!! I'm a pre med student and this app not only helps me study for my inevitable MCAT test but it also helps for studying my pre med material by keeping my head in the right state of thinking. I also love the whole explanation that is very thorough in providing why the answer is the best answer and the rest are not. This app is more than I could ever dream of having and I feel that without it I wouldn't feel as confident about my MCAT test as I do today!!!

Good app with limits. The app has good info and is helpful for pinpointing area for further study. The ability to mark questions know, somewhat know, don't know is especially helpful. However the questions themselves aren't that difficult and aren't worded like any practice mcat I've taken and so can't be taken as a one stop shop app or even an accurate assessment of your mcat ability.

Study on the go!. I love this app for so many reasons! 1) These questions have the MCAT flavor! Challenging questions that make you think critically 2) This app not only has great questions (MCAT style) but thorough explanations for each answer choice, i.e. justifying a correct and incorrect answer 3) It's not just a flashcard app. This is really unique in the App Store right now and is really important to me because I can study good materials for the MCAT on the go, wherever I am! 4) I love the other sections on interview tips and the handy MCAT/GPA averages for each medical school in the US... This is really helpful, and so unique in the App Store! 5) Double money-back guarantee--I didn't need it but if you don't like your score you can get more than a refund... I think this is a no-brainer! I got a 36 and this app really helped me out... Thanks for making this app... I am recommending it to all my pre-med friends!!! ☺️

The only app worth studying. I have downloaded every MCAT app out there. This is the only one worth buying. Because questions are very accurate and related to MCAT topic. The difficulty level is about the MCAT questions. You can pick any topic or subtopic you want, work on the questions and learn from the descriptive solution manual. I wish it had more questions but I guess 500 is enough for now. Thanks a lot for the app.

Great Supplement for MCAT studying. Love the app, great for content review and gaining additional exposure to the types of questions we would normally see on the MCAT. Overall, a must have as long as you can refrain from going on any other app first when opening your phone.

Must have!!. Let's be real the MCAT is just ridiculously stressful. I bought study materials online and would sit down and study for hours at a time. For me, that routine burned me out quickly and I wanted nothing to do but leave the library. Finding this app reenergized me in my studying efforts. Being able to get instant feedback from a bank of hundreds of questions was gratifying whenever I pulled out my phone. The quizzes were great to track my progress with concepts and not to mention how great it was have figures for each question as they appeared for each question. If you are studying for the MCAT and have a smart phone you need this app to be able to study whenever you want.

Good for quick practice. I like the layout of the questions of this app as they are similar to those on the MCAT. However, one must be careful to double check the answers on some of the questions as some of them are inaccurate or have the correct answer marked incorrect.

Great "on the run" study tool.. This beautifully designed app is fueled with extensive MCAT style questions, a convenient resource to have when you're away from the books. The questions are highly relevant and cover all the material featured on the new (2015) MCAT.

Very good. Pros: Relatively cheap, good explanations, good questions. Cons: Some of the questions (such as the organic chemistry synthesis questions) seem inappropriately challenging relative to other MCAT study sources. Additionally, Grammatical mistakes make some questions difficult to follow. These are rare, reminiscent of a foreigner who has been living here for twenty years. They are a strike against the professional "feel" of the product, however.

Too many incorrect answers. This app is has great potential, but is virtually unusable right now due to tons of incorrect answers/explanations. Sometimes the answer is right and the explanation is wrong, sometimes vice versa, sometimes both are wrong. Either way, it's really hard to use this as a study reference, even if it's only on the go, with so many wrong answers. Very frustrating, especially considering the $20 I just dropped on it. Hoping for updated answers very soon, I think the app will be excellent once that happens.

Very Thorough. This app has a vast array of questions and even better explanations. The passages with accompanying questions are invaluable! It's a "must have" especially when you've got down-time and a cell phone!

Simply the best!. This app is well worth the download and the money. It is thorough, well built, and extremely well supported. It contains a vast amount of great features that makes it an unmatched accessory for studying on your smartphone or tablet. It's important that you don't download this thinking it's all you need for studying, but as a means for practice, it is the perfect tool. It has plenty of material and plenty of ways to present it and organize it. Finally, the costumer service and support can truly not be better that with this app. I was on the phone in minutes with a real, genuine person. He walked me through all my questions and we even had a few laughs. Honestly, just stop reading this and download it; you probably have a lot of studying to do!

Wonderful. This app has truly helped me prepare for the 2015 MCAT. Not only did it come with such a variety of questions but it also motivated me to study more and become even more interested in the material. My only complaint is that there should be more of a variety of questions in the free version since you can only access the physics portion without paying. Overall, though, buying more questions was definitely worth it. I recommend using this app along with traditional studying.

Good but could be better. They have most of the information in the app but I can't select specific topics or sections to go through in the "Important Terminology" section. I want to be able to go through those almost 1000 cards in smaller sections. There are also a few minor bugs. It's useful and I'd probably buy it again, but there are still improvements to be made. I'm also not sure that the information is for the 2015, but I could be wrong.

Great for practice on the go. I have downloaded 10+ MCAT apps for my iphone/iPad. This is by far the best one, from question style, available topics, SO much material, ability to make topic based tests, track progress, and very clear and helpful rationales for solutions. It's not going to replace your main MCAT prep but is an excellent resource for keeping the brain sharp anywhere you are.

Effective app, no question about it. I really enjoy your app. I am enrolled in a full blown 3 month MCAT prep course with books etc and I find your “quick-hitter” questions and thorough answers to be a fast and effective way to reinforce many important concepts in MCAT prep. Your questions are in alignment with what is listed to be tested in the AAMC official review guide, which is a blaring con in many other apps. They simply don’t test what the AAMC has listed as much as they should. This app is different, effective questions, thorough answers, $20 well spent for the serious MCAT test taker. Really awesome!. I'm using this right now to study for the mcats. Much more challenging than the study manuals I'm using but does a great job of reporting progress and showing areas of weakness. They're really responsive over email also.

Most helpful MCAT app!. I love this app because it has so many good questions and groups them by topics and subtopics. It will even let you rate each question by how well you knew it regardless of whether you got the answer right or wrong. It also includes terminology and does not require that you be online (useful for when wifi isn't available). I did have one problem where the app stopped recognizing that I had the full version a couple days after I purchased it. I contacted customer support and they replied immediately and restored my purchase immediately with no hassle. Love the app, use it all the time

It's almost there.. This overall is a decent app and it would really be helpful to a person as a review on the go. However I gave this all three stars because it has many flaws that should be changed or corrected which are listed below. -Overall app flaws: 1. The app occasionally glitches and does not show the question. 2. The app sometimes has two correct answers and will even say both are correct. 3. The app sometimes only has one choice containing all the answers. 4. The app had a my progress bar which states the correct % in regards to the total # of questions instead of # of questions attempted. So if you answer only 100 questions out of 500 and if you get all 100 correct, it will show 20% correct. Perhaps the greatest flaw of this app resides in the addition of useless materials. Although it does not hinder MCAT studies, it is frustrating. The problem is that this app features many many many questions on plant anatomy, physiology and mechanisms although they are not tested on the MCAT. Biology which is stated as my strongest subject in "my progress" has about a big red bar consisting almost entirely "don't know" solely because of these plant questions. It gives a false sense of alarm. Please remove them. Overall this is a decent app with great potential with updates.

Great App. This app has forced me to start thinking about MCAT questions everyday in a very succinct and efficient way! Because of this app, it doesn't feel as though the MCAT is some treacherous and impossible accomplishment. It has made everything much more manageable and had provided me with effective tips and guides on how to become the most successful candidate I can be! Thank you!!

Great app for MCAT2015 success!. I think this app is one of the best parts of my exam prep. The questions have a nice spread of difficulty, and more importantly, a good chunk of them are passage-based. The books I use from some of the popular prep companies don't even have as many passage-based practice questions as this. The app also has some nifty resources for applying to med school and an impressive list of mnemonics covering topics across all the subject areas. With MCAT Mastery, you can practice whenever and wherever and I highly recommend it!

Not worth $10.. I'm disappointed with the app. I usually don't buy apps, but since I had a gift card I decided to spend it on some MCAT apps. The free app comes with 20-30 free questions to showcase the app. I liked the style of questions and the explanations to the answers, so I decided to buy the app. After doing close to a hundred questions I noticed that while the majority of the answers to the questions were right, there were many that were wrong. From those 100 that I did, I would say a good 8-10 of the questions had the wrong answers. If you're going to charge any amount of money for an app you should make sure the material you're charging for is perfect (even more so for a $10 app), especially for an app that states it provides "MCAT mastery". While I did like most of the features of the app, it's not reliable nor efficient for the user to have to confirm answers through another source before moving onto the next question. If you're planning on buying the app, make sure you know the material very well, because if you don't, you're going end up learning the wrong information.

5 stars!. It's everything that you could want from a phone based studying program. I personally wouldn't use any iPhone app as my sole source of studying (maybe I'd feel differently with an iPad?) for the mcat but it's an excellent way to be productive while fulfilling that nasty desire to be on your phone at the same time. Couldn't ask for more.

Anyone Else see inconsistencies here?. Lots of generic-sounding 5-star reviews, and the ones that don't sound contrived echo what I'll say here. The bit about the typos and incorrect solutions are true. Anyone who has truly studied for the MCAT knows that even the slightest bit of ambiguity in question structure or answer choice rationale can be maddeningly confusing. Even a single solution that is just plain wrong is entirely unacceptable for an app that purports to help users prepare for one of the most important exams of their professional career; and this app has more than one as such, just in the free portion alone. Finally, the errors in polish, just as often as they appear to simply be accidental, suggest an author(s) with a provincial understanding of English grammar.

Can't trust this app, too many errors and grammatical mistakes. At first I thought the questions were useful, and I liked the system of keeping track of your confidence in each answer. However, this app is so deeply riddled with egregious grammatical errors and mistakes that I just can't trust it to have good information. It's so bad they don't even have subject/verb agreement. For example, they would say "these is." That's BAD. They would also do things like list "I, II, II, IV" instead of "I, II, III, IV." So while grammar has nothing to do with the mcat, this shows me that they have not reviewed their material at ALL or they would have caught such obvious errors. This exam will determine whether I get into med school and I can't trust material that has not been vetted.

GREAT, but small annoyances. I really love how comprehensive this app is. I was definitely willing to shell out the $30 to have full-access. The smallest annoyance about the app is overlooking some spelling and grammatical errors that are seen throughout. Yes, I paid for the app, and, yes, it is very helpful. I am grateful for the technology that is always in my hand so I can study at any time. But for professionalism, it was annoying to think about constant, small spelling errors for one of the most expensive apps I have.

Move along, nothing to see here. This app actually has a decent amount to offer, unfortunately far too often do they have a question that refers to the "text" which doesn't contain the information you need to answer the question. For example referring to an equation that was in the text, except it wasn't there. Or referencing a diagram that wasn't posted and isn't posted until after you answer the question wrong. Also I WISH I would have taken a screen shot of a question that they had keyed wrong, which makes you wonder how many others might be wrong as well. Overall an unfortunate waste of money if you decide to buy it like I did. There are definitely better options elsewhere.

Just what needed. Even if you are not studying for the mcat it's great. This app helps you remember the material you might need teach or at least keep in mind from when you did undergrad. Buy more practice if you know you are taking the mcat it will be worth it.

Must have for premed students. This is a fantastic app. It was the best twenty dollars I have ever spent on the App Store by far. I am taking the mcat this summer, and expect this to be a great tool. You should not expect this to be the only thing you study, but it is a great start.

Needs improvement. Good app but I wouldn't pay for the whole thing. There are some technical problems. For example sometimes the entire practice question or solution is not displayed. Also some of the questions have incorrect answers. I've only had the app for a couple hours and already noticed quite a few. The concept is very good but the app needs fine tuning.

Great app.. I haven't taken the MCAT yet, so I don't know how accurately the questions in this app are related to those in the MCAT.. So I will leave a comment when I find that out. However, as far as studying goes, this app has been very beneficial. It is easy to use and has plenty of questions. I like it a lot!

Mcat study. I am currently using his app along with a Barron's prep book in order to study for the MCAT and love the way the app will instantly explain the correct answer when you have answered incorrectly. I also use it anytime I am tempted to open my Facebook or Instagram app in order to use my time wisely!!

One of the Best Study Tools I've seen. Very nice for quick content question review. Not passage based, so you'll need to work that skill separately but you can hammer through a ton of questions fairly quickly. Nice interface that's easy and user-friendly. Definitely worth the money. LOTS of questions.

Love it!! 😻😻. This app is great. It truly helped me in reminding myself of all the things I had forgotten and the things that I didn't exactly know. It is helpful to be able to hear the explanation of the answer and why it is or isn't the answer.

Must buy. This is a wonderful daily practice for those who wants to check/improve their knowledge on the go! I access this app easily as I find myself in the outdoors with some free time... The quizzes and practice questions are well chosen, and the explanations are provided! Must buy, full version is much better

Great! Worth the full price.. I like the quiz format rather than studying flashcards. This format really helps with going to your instincts and not over thinking. Explanations are much more in depth than I would expect which is awesome. So far, this is my favorite MCAT app.

Very responsive staff!. I bought this app after having a conversation with the app writer. I told him that I was concerned given prior feedback that maybe there were errors. He assured me that while there may be some, any errors bright to their attention would be promptly fixed. They were right on about that. I have brought a couple of oversights to their attention and each was fixed within a week. To access the fix you have to download the app again (no charge to do that). I have found the writers to be very responsive and would recommend based on that. As far as content goes it is purely a question app and does not give much basic content prior to answering questions. The questions are kinda basic but very encouraging if you are just starting to get familiar with the material. I love the interface. It's up to date and the rationales are good especially when graphics accompany the rationale. It also has already incorporated the new topics for MCAT 2015. It's great for on the go quizzing and I look forward to seeing this app grow to encompass more information.

Excellent. This is a very clear and straightforward app. Very helpful when on the go.

Decent overall but quite sloppy in some areas. Overall app is nice, clearly a well thought out user interface and great question bank. answers sometimes include picture diagrams as well as thorough proofs. However, sometimes there aren't even right answers to questions, yet they are indicated in the explanation. Sometimes answers/explanations are irrelevant to the question. Mistakes such as these seem very sloppy and as if no one double checked the app. For something featured in magazines and having won so many awards, this is kind of embarrassing and unexpected, especially if you're willing to pay 20$ for full access.

MCAT MASRERY. Helped alot!

I love this app. I'm writing the MCAT next May and I use this app everyday to practice. Also when you have a problem with app you can email them and they respond to you usually within 24hrs.

Issues after upgrade. Although the app is invaluable for helping me prepare (with its abundant test bank, and explanations) since I upgraded to the pro version, there's a serious lag/freezing issue, which gets tiresome when you have to switch between apps, and is infuriating when trying to stay focused

Great app. Good app. Lots of questions. There are a few errors however in answers and some typos. It would be nice if there was a flag for review button or something to alert developers of the error it would be better. But so far I've really liked it. Good convenient MCAT prep.

GREAT app!. I really, really love this app. One of my favorite features is the notifications/reminders. They are a little too sporadic though which is why I gave 4 stars, not 5.

Great App. I love this app, very effective. I just wish I could hide the sidebar when it's on landscape mode. It takes up half the screen.

Solid App. App works smoothly and tracks progress well. My major complaint is the lack of an easier way to view related material (often a periodic table or mechanism) without pulling up a weird, secondary window.

Good price for glory. I'd have to admit that this app is a bit pricey but it's well worth what it's intended for: challenge your knowledge of the material, record your progress for sights of improvement, and convenient to fit the busy lifestyle.

Full of errors. The app is good to get your mind thinking about equations and processes. But don't give too much weight to the answers they provide. I have found so many errors, even when I click the right answer it says I'm wrong then gives the explanation as to why that answer is the right one. Definitely not worth the $20 for the app.

Favorite mcat app. The flash cards really prepared me for the test. The way the app was able to lead me to study what I was weak in really was the defining factor for me.

So many errors. This app looks great and it's useful on the go but there are so many errors in explanations that don't make any sense, explanations that contradict themselves, and several glitches. I've spent almost as much time googling explanations than I have on the app

Irritating. I've been seriously trying to accept the terms of use so I can create an account and it will not allow me to click it. I've been trying to click it for the last 20 minutes but still nothing. Opened and closed it many times. I just wish it'd worked. 😔

Highly recommend!. Perfect app to keep concepts and terminology fresh in your mind. It's especially great when you don't have your books/laptop on you and want to get some studying in.

Great App, always can be tweaked. It's a wonderful app that covers the basic and advanced material. The only thing stopping it is its example or figures. It gives the same ones for different problems , this can be reviewed and improved

All bio questions removed. The previous version had a lot of bio questions without requiring in-app purchases. Suddenly with the update today, there are only 19 free questions instead of hundreds. Was going to make in-app purchases today once I finished the bio section but this is a huge turnoff.

Review on the go. Very convenient and a lot of questions. A bit expensive but it is worth the investment.

Great study tool. Great study tool for when out or when bored but by no means a one stop study tool.

Amazing app. The diagrams are a big plus when understanding concepts. All questions have a labeling system which is my favorite part. Would have given it 5 stars but came across a few errors. I would buy again for sure.

Must buy MCAT tool!. Been using the app to test my knowledge as I study the material. It does what everyone else already stated but my favorite part is that it points out your weakest and strongest area; therefore, you can focus on the weak area.

Great for practice. Very good for everyday practice with good explanations for questions. Would only like more questions to be added with some less ambiguous writing

One day free, then $30 to keep material. Not worth 30 dollars - the questions are not written like the actual exam and are very simple. Although they will help with review in general, it would be better to spend your money on review that is structured like the questions you will see on exam day

Great app!. This app is really good for on-the-go studying! The explanations are generally thorough and there's tons of questions. For $20 I definitely recommend it!

Great app. I am using this as sort of a review of material for studying for the MCAT. I have thought that it had been more useful than lots of the books that I bought, and it's a lot cheaper.

Great App! I'm definitely buying the full version. Has many practice problems and gives an explanation for each of them. It is very versatile and a great app to accompany with Kaplan.

Great Practice Tool. This is a great way to study during a commute or when it is just not convenient to use a computer. The rationales are really helpful at figuring out what I need to learn.
