What’s going on?. After last update app won’t even open. Needs work. Before then great app

Current update crash. I’ve used spot assist for 3 yrs now had no problem. After the recent update 4 days ago the app no longer turns on or works. Has anyone else had this same issue?

future now. quite honestly I dont know how we were planning the jump before the spot assist app time. Based on the current wind condition it shows good spot, pattern, crab angles. All of this information is laid on the map so a pilot knows exactly where she/he needs to be at in relation to the ground. Brilliant and very useful for all levels!

Must Have for Skydivers. I never planned on actually needing the app, then it happened. Last week there was a location change about an hour before wheels up and I found myself landing at an airport I've never been to. I remembered this app and it rocked. It allowed me to see where the winds were coming from and meshed with Google maps, so I was easily able to pick out landmarks and make a plan. When I was sitting at 8,000ft on the end of Stearman's wing, it was too easy to guide the pilot right over the airport and into the wind, lining up the perfect spot. The jump went off perfectly, thanks in part to this app and the piece of mind it offers so you can plan for success. Five stars.

fantastic. this to me is by far the best forecast app, i jump in different dz in a few countries, and it works every time every where. Aand, if you have questions they help you solve them, just hit them an email, congratulations and thank you.

More selection. I love the app. I just wish there was a bigger selection of canopies to choose from.

PC or Mac. The program works great. I would like to see it on my computer instead of my phone. My eyes are not 20 years old any longer....

Perfect helper for beginner. As a beginner I find this app very helpful. It tells you the wind and the landing approach details according to the current weather and eliminates guesswork. I highly recommend this app to anyone who just started to skydive

Weird. There was something weird going on with the app. Restarted it and it works as advertised now.

Excellent Quick Reference. Know how to calculate freefall and canopy drift. Once you do, you can easily use this to visually confirm your calculated exit point with a tolerance added to accommodate multiple jumpers and the associated jump run. Upper winds readily available in the app to help you with your spot calculations, cloud altitudes so you know if you'll be able to at least do some hop and pops if the cloud layer is too thick for a full altitude jump, but high enough to jump below it. You can input canopy type, opening altitude etc. to increase accuracy. You can adjust your landing direction and pattern leg entry points based on the actual ground conditions. Best app for skydiving. Spend the few dollars and max the features out... best <$10 you'll spend to make sure you don't land off. Everything in skydiving is expensive... this isn't. Great work.

App broken. Not sure what happened but the app used to be great. Now they have changed background colors and lettering to white on top of each other so you can barely read anything in the weather section. Also the patter direction stopped working…so you can’t pick a left or right landing direction. Another issue is that the app will not keep your home DZ….randomly the app will think it is somewhere else and when you switch between winds aloft and forecast, I have had it literally switch DZs. I paid for the full version to include everything as well and now they are adding things that need to be paid for…not right to do to existing customers that already purchased the full version.

Don't need to call Awos anymore. Great app that tells you how the winds are at different altitudes, simple to use

Great tool. Like any “application “, take the info with a grain of salt and a generous dose of common sense. I’m still in training, but one of my mentors turned me on to this and I find myself checking it all the time. I’ve worked outdoors all my life and this gives a greater picture of weather and conditions than normal radar. The daily info I received from this program combined with my lifetime knowledge gives me a much better understanding of weather patterns in our area and makes this a very valuable tool.

Excellent for paragliding! PPG. This is exactly what I needed. Flying a powdered paraglider I like to know surface level wind speed and winds aloft. This app is simple to look at and understand. Knowing the cloud deck height with forested models is great too if you want to fly above them. The graph is very simplistic which is a good thing. Only the necessary data is shown so there’s no clutter. I wouldn’t change anything about this. You don’t even have to choose a location. You just move the part of the map into view and the data is automatically pulled for that area. I searched a long time looking at weather, wind and aviation apps and none of them provided a simple all in one solution for the data this app provides.

Best app for skydiving!. This is the best app for skydiving. You are missing out if you don't have this app on your iPhone or iPad! The developer is a skydiver and is very responsive to feedback. Download this one...you won't regret it!

All in one awesomeness. Great one stop shop for info and guidance. I'm a newer skydiver and the map/landing pattern tool is helping with my landing accuracy. Haven't tested the accuracy of the spotting overlay but it's a nice supportive visual reminder. The weather/wind direction and forecast features are great. This version is a great start and I can't wait to see how this app evolves.

Only OK. I have not purchased any extras but I'm a little disappointed - it seems to be not much more than a glorified map that marks known global DZs, then overlays weather and shows approach pattern based on wind speed. Yes, it's nice to see satellite imagery for a DZ I may visit, but I can do that on any map App b But there are so many missed opportunities (or features that I just couldn't find so are not intuitive at all!) No links to all those DZ websites. Canopy selection - I can add custom which is nice, but I could not find a way to edit or delete canopies, and you can't tell which is selected (I ended up with 3x "my canopy" with incorrect stats while trying to figure it out, now I seem stuck with them!). Set exit altitude? Set canopy deployment altitude? Being able to adjust the DZ's target pad is nice (students v experienced may differ, etc), but there is no way to set it back to the default if you move it accidentally. OK - that was just a quick review based on first findings. I will update if things change/improve. Thanks.

Great app and customer service!!. The app performs flawlessly! Haven't tried the landing pattern feature but everything else works great! Great customer service too. I had a doubt and I messaged them on facebook and they replied within an hour.

I love it... better than sliced bread!. Does everything is says it does...and does it very well. Intuitive and easy to understand ...for skydivers. (And yes, it’s working again)

Great tool for new skydivers. I bought this tool as I just got AFF certified and was having problems with my landing pattern. I still make adjustments before I jump, but this has helped me get a better understanding of increasing my legs based upon wind and where I need to in relation to the wind. In order for this app to helpful, you need to pay for the weather add on because it adjusts your pattern according to wind direction and velocity. Thank you for helping out the novice jumpers.

Helpful when visiting new DZs. The app does a great job of giving a feel for distances and landmarks when learning a new DZ. It's especially nice to be able to zoom in on the aerial view.

It's A Good Start. The App is missing a module to calculate the exit spot. Once the jump altitude is plugged in, the exit spot can easily calculated given the current winds. Further, the user will have to make adjustments to a landing pattern if the software determines that the best pattern will take the skydiver over an active runway below 1,000' AGL. Just a few more additions and this will be an outstanding application for skydivers. And if the extra modules cost a little bit more money, I'd be willing to pay for it.

App Crashing. App continues to crash after attempting to restore previous purchases

Accurate weather and Fast customer service. This app rocks for showing almost instant very accurate weather for my Dropzone, even though there is no internet weather station here. I guess the app interpolates the weather sources nearby and it does a great job of it. The landing pattern tool is a great help for me and made my landings right on target the last 5 jumps - a great tool for my 30 jump experience level though I'm sure I'll use it for all my future jumps because it shows a nice satellite view of the DZ with landing pattern overlayed! Oh my DZ (Dubai) wasn't on the list but after one email the developer had input all the data within 24hr! That's amazing service and a really good app!!

Spot Assist, Cutaway Finder function. The cutaway finder worked perfectly in helping locating my parachute. Simple as entering the cutaway location, altitude and date time. It shows the path based on the winds at that time. My parachute was within a couple hundred feet with the last arrow. Thank You!

If you’re a skydiver you should have this. Buy all the features, they’re worth it. It just helps to visualize everything you’re gonna be using while jumping. Lots of great add ons you don’t get unless you purchase. Blue skies y’all!

Super awesome!. Super awesome app! Great tool that takes all the raw wind data from local sites and converts it to an easy to use, dummy proof app! Well worth the few bucks to unlock it's full potential. I mean come on guys whats a few bucks, just one less beer and the end of the jumping day. Very handy also if your planning X-country jumps. Great tool. This is a great tool to help plan your landings and check to see what the weather is at different altitudes. It is not the end all be all but it definitely helps a lot.
