💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

Love my Arizona Republic on my iPhone. I used to be old school and prefer my news on paper, but since I have had the Arizona Republic on my iPhone, I have learned to love my news app and email notifications about content I am interested in. It doesn’t dirty my hands and I get stories as soon as they post instead of waiting for the next day’s paper. Now, my day doesn’t feel complete until I read the news on my app, along with my coffee! Occasionally I have to hunt down my password and reinstall my app on my iPhone which is a bit annoying but overall it’s an easy, convenient process. Jackie Young Phoenix

No opt out of personalized ads / tracking. Be warned the app basically forces you to opt in to personalized ads and tracking by tossing up a screen where the only option is to choose “Continue” (not how that does NOT say OPT IN but that’s what happens if you tap it). The app is unusable until you tap Continue and there is no “No thanks” or similar. Just the one button. THEN it provides “instructions” to opt back out but the described method does not exist in your phone settings or in the app settings. Meanwhile the app has a link for you to review the company’s “ethical principles” - but clearly they have none. I’m a subscriber. I should get an app with no ads since I ALREADY PAY. 🙄

Newspaper issues. Firstly, when you ask for comments there should be a way tiger back to that selection if you refuse the first time. I made the mistake of saying no and so I am excluded from doing so Second, for a service I subscribe to (read that - pay for), I am totally annoyed by the cascades of unwanted ads which only bolsters your bottom line. Sometimes they are impossible to bypass further adding to my irritation. Thirdly, It is not possible to print articles and puzzles from an iPAD. There is no print icon. The only way I can do this is from my laptop while viewing the newspaper. I am on the verge of cancelling my subscription. You guys really missed the boat it’s this app. No wonder you don’t make any money

So bad…. Where to begin? Subscriptions are frequently not recognized so you can’t get content. The same story appears multiple times. They prioritize high school sports and real estate sales over real news. Their opinion columnists are usually unqualified for the things about which they write (like the sports guy writing about the constitution). How I wish there was a real news source in AZ—no wonder people in the state can’t tell fact from fiction.

Not good. I have a lot of difficulty with this app - some days it asks me to sign in, other days it does not. I have what I think is the most current edition. When I tap on an article to read, sometimes it takes 2-3 taps for it to appear on the right side so I can read it. Those articles often contain misspellings, and repeated sentences. Today I cannot even access the newspaper - all I can get is the USA Today! Most irritating is the ads that appear for 10 seconds or whatever before I can get rid of them and read the paper. Like there isn’t enough advertising in the paper???? I would go back to the paper edition but the cost of it is way too expensive. The e-edition worked quite well for awhile, but not so much any more.

Billing. Customer service in Phillipines Could not understand her. She couldn't solve my problem After 30 years as a customer had to create a new account. Actually AzRepublic lost money as my account was so messed up we couldn't sort it out. Ellen Bilbrey

NOT click-bait: Real in-depth news. So refreshing to read articles that present facts, and go beyond just a screaming headline. So much out of such a cheap electronic subscription. Even shared(no cost) with father in another state, so he can keep up with my local news. Also virtual USAToday included.

Free 6 months but can never sign in!!. Just about to cancel my free subscription because it’s too difficult to sign in. I have reset my passwords four or five times and before I can even save the password in my password chain… I can’t even get back into my account… giving up wish I could read your articles but it’s always just too difficult.

Doesn’t work on iOS. *Update* The app developer responded and fixed the bug. I appreciate this attentive reply and the app now functions as it should. Thx! *Old* This is a terrible app that doesn’t refresh correctly, tries to load ads all the time, doesn’t remember where you were, and simply stops loading stories. Why am I paying for this???? Would be a 0 if 0 was available.

Read Everyday. I read this everyday now. I get AZ Republic Newspaper and I get to read / browse through AZCentral now. For the longest time they separated them but now I can read both. For a local, national and international news junkie this the best of both worlds. Though it seems the Republic is now leaning more to the left unfortunately… I initially liked it because it was moderate but now leans left especially in most editorials. Go back to your more moderate days and just report the news.. a leftie spin or perspective from most reporting is really a dis-service.

eNewspaper Review. The new eNewspaer platform in this app is quite simply awful. A few of the more obvious problems: - Will not load a readable version in landscape view. - Print is so small in loaded pages that it’s barely readable. - Print in loaded pages is often out of focus and unreadable. - Zoom-in and zoom-out features (both touch and button-driven are very clumsy). - The app consistently freezes and forces the reader to exit the app and restart on page one to un-freeze it. - Etc. - Etc. I used to look forward to my daily read of the Republic. Now it’s a tedious chore that I labor through as quickly as possible. Did no one beta test this app before it was launched? Are the Republic management and staff really satisfied with this platform for their publication?

It’s working again!. After I (a decades long subscriber) went through the AZCentral recommended steps the app was still preventing me from accessing articles. So, I deleted the app from my iPad, waited a day, then downloaded the app again. It’s fine now. Hopefully I won’t have to repeat the process for quite a while.

Reading presentation options. I don’t like the fact that you can’t display the newspaper page so it fills the entire page on iPad without pinching and extending every time you turn the page. I like the old app where you could use the “fit” function once and it would stay the same when you turned pages.

It’s… ok.. I am starting to get pop-ups when using the print edition app saying to switch to this app. I tried it, and now I know why. Many more ads and pop-up ads when using the eNewpaper section of this app. There are plenty of ads in the print edition app, but this adds even more in a more intrusive fashion.

Az Republic—- Worst In Daily Home Delivery. I live in Peoria and went all summer with problems in home delivery of my paper— called several times to report this and was promised problem would be solved by Circulation Dept but to no avail. Very unimpressed by the Circulation Dept and feel Manager should be fired for laziness and mismanagement… I would never recommend this newspaper to anyone.. Along with lack of business ethic and customer service skills, the reporting is completely Leftist and non objective… Awful journalism!

Broken app. Bought a digital subscription recently. I’m fairly good with technology... I’ve tried every troubleshooting step from clearing my cache to using native browser among other things. No matter what, this trash application does not recognize my subscription and continues logging me out. Every time it wants me to log in, the website returns an error or tells me I’m logged in but won’t return to the app. Even when I do return, it doesn’t recognize it. It appears this is not a new issue, as there are reviews from September of last year stating this is an issue. No wonder news outlets are struggling. They can’t transition with the times.

OK, But Too Many Ads. This app is an improvement over the previous one, but it has too many ads. I use it to read the ePaper. It’s generally more reliable, but it has more ads, and some ads that block the screen and can’t be closed immediately. Annoying! Also, I like to turn my phone sideways to read the comics. I can do that with the old reader, but not the new app.

Comics. At first one could read the comics, now we are being forced to purchase the subscription to the newspaper. I object to this, it has gotten so expensive I cannot afford it also the news it always old. The editorials with the exception of montonai are very bad. The language is not well used. I hate the phrase “what you need to know about” or 5 things you need to know. What marlarky. Readers are not stupid neither am I.

It is not a conservative newspaper. Great local stories, but anything of a political nature will always have a far left leaning agenda. Between Elvia Diaz and EJ Montini they create the most biased team of opinion journalists I have seen. If I wanted that type of slanted journalism I would subscribe to the New York Times. I mean really, did either of those two write anything positive about President Trump. No they did not. Can someone give the man credit for at least getting us the vaccine in record time. You could be living in Canada and waiting on China and India to give us a vaccine. I can barely stomach this paper. If it wasn’t for local content I would not subscribe.

Biased and Leading News Articles. I’m new to Arizona and an Independent. I consider myself to be somewhat apolitical, but subscribed to this publication to learn more about my new state and the political climate here. To date, every single article and opinion column I have read has been leading and biased towards the left. I can think for myself. I’m seeking facts and it’s clear this publication can only offer its opinions. I’ll continue searching other publications for real news.

Piece of junk app. Remember when newspapers used to have editors? Now apps like this are all automated feeds with no one seeming to oversee the content. Scroll down a bit and you are certain to see the same story repeated multiple times because this poorly coded “bot” doesn’t seem to have any Business Intelligence. And today it is featuring several Trump stories from over two years ago—unaware of today’s date. Junk!

App resets itself every time you turn around. Since a recent update, I’ve noticed that if you’re reading a story in the AZCentral app and then you minimize the app to check an email or take a phone call, the app restarts itself when you return. This means that you have to search for the story you were previously reading; bit of a pain.

Took advantage of the recent sale. Overall, I’ve been really satisfied with having local news right on my phone. I do wish there was some way to integrate the service will Apple News+. That would reduce the need for multiple apps on my phone providing me news.

Content closes if you leave the app. Sometimes you need to pop out of the app to do something else. In days past you could return to the app and pick up reading the story where you left off. Now it takes you back to the main index where you have to start over. Very frustrating. And another reason I miss a newsPAPER… 🥺 Please fix this back to how it used to be at least.

Paid for subscription. I have been a subscriber for many years . Lately I can’t access content . I show that it is paid through next month and yet ads keep popping up to subscribe even though I already have …. The restore subscription button in the ad does nothing…. This is a new problem developed in the past few months… I should have access to what I pay for!!!

Nice to support local news, beware the notifications though. AZCentral is a great source for Arizona news. I like supporting our local news and supporting AZCentral. My complaint is about the app notifications. I always make sure to not select the sports category for app notifications as I sometimes watch the games recorded. Unfortunately if you want to have any breaking news notifications AZCentral will notify you of the outcomes of the Arizona teams. I guess I can’t have any notifications turned on for breaking news in Arizona if I don’t want the sports games spoiled for me.

Latest Update Makes App Frustrating. Not sure what changes were implemented but after the last IOS and required app updates, every news article is so full of hyperlinks that I can’t read a full article without being redirected to other pages as I try to scroll to continue reading the article. Soooo frustrating that I don’t read as often on the app. The journalism is fantastic, however, so I will continue to support this quality newspaper.

Pretty awful. I was forced onto this app and away from the AZ Central app that worked very well, about two weeks ago. This one is so bad, it’s awful. It consistently freezes up, if you barely touch an ad or a story or somewhere else, for who knows with this app, you get a pop up page. How fun, as then you must close out of that pop up and hope that you will be back to your article- but as an added feature, they make sure that doesn’t always happen. Also if you like to zoom in to make the text or photos bigger, the app again makes sure to mess with the screen and either not work properly so you can be in the page you were on, or it pops open a dreaded window again. Another advantage of this awful app is you aren’t sure it’s going to load properly as the pop up ad on first and sports pages slows everything down. Give me back the working model dimwits. Otherwise I may unsubscribe

Need to know what’s going on. Have finally decided to get a subscription even though my funds are limited (to put it mildly.) I know precisely what’s happening in the country but, in my own back yard, not so much. Love to see the opinions of others, too. Happy to notice many others think as I do.

I’m old school. I gave up my beloved “paper” Republic a few years back. This new iteration of the e-newspaper is an improvement in some ways but not all. The right panel display of stories is formatted better and easier to read. I do have a gray bar that appears across the USA Today pages (I’m on an iPad) and the crossword puzzles are slightly more difficult to print. Overall a better product. There’s pop-up ads now and I really don’t mind them because I know the journalists need the revenue. Support the Press!

E-Newspaper Has Many Drawbacks. I have used the classic e-newspaper app for many years. It is still functional, but has added a splash page attempting to divert traffic to this new app. The new app has pop-up ads that are very distracting. The e-newspaper already includes all the paper’s daily ads. I see no need to be harassed by even more with this new app. Additionally, the new app will not expand a single page of the paper to full screen. It instead only expands a two-page-at-the-fold into full screen, making any single page half as small as it was with the classic app. This new app is not an improvement.

Great app. I read the AZ Republic newspaper everyday. We get home delivery 2 days a week on Sunday & Wednesday & read the online version the rest of the time. The online version is very easy to navigate & auto updates to the newest edition when you log in. Could not be easier!

Flooded with ads and limited stories. It’s very annoying that you flood the app with ads if you do not pay for a subscription while limiting the amount of stories you can read each month. Why limit the amount of stories when there are ads all over the place? On top of that, there have been several instances where the monthly limit does not reset in a new month. Will uninstall in favor of other local news outlets that do not have monthly limits.

Need IT Help. What is going on with this new digital newspaper? It has been so unreliable, freezing up every day without getting through entire paper. And talk about an unfriendly user piece of work. Bring back the old version which was working great and you could actually read like a book. Now to get a readable article that you can actually read you need to open it up individually. Extra click in IT world always risks issues. Maybe hire a 6 year old to get this fixed. Your staff obviously cannot get it fight. Your whole AZ Central IT platform is a joke. Has anyone tried to go online to make changes to your profile? You complete all the changes and select “submit/save” and all you get is a spinning wheel and it never stops or completes the action. Get yourself some help, you need it!

Extremely biased. Extremely biased opinionated “” reporting I was looking for something that gave me local news not the writers opinions over and over and over again very very very disappointed Unfortunately every report seems to be pro Democrat and very misleading and overstated it’s time for the United States of America to get back to business and quit listening to the fear mongers in the press and the Democrats trying to take over every aspect of our life so that we have no rights left welcome to Venezuela Arizona if you keep listening to this garbage

Easy to navigate, Customer service nonexistent. I subscribed to a Sunday through Monday print edition. Paid for it on Sept 14th. I read that it could take between 2 and 5 business days before we received our first edition in our mailbox. Had no problem with that. The thing is, It’s now September 29th and we haven’t received ANY newspapers at ALL. I called the customer service number, (all automated system) Bottom line, I was told that the regional manager for my “area” would be “notified “ of the issue I was having and it would be brought to their attention. Apparently it never was. I formally requested a full refund tonight. Not sure I’ll get one since it seems seems everything is all automated. Definitely not recommending AZ Republic and the app to anyone unless they get their customer service act together.

Great state and local content but app difficult to use. I love AZCentral as my go to source for local and state news. Having been a long time Arizona Republic subscriber I hope AZCentral can provide the financial support needed for the publishers to continue providing Arizona based news stories and articles. My only complaint is with the app is that too many links appear throughout articles so when when reading and scrolling through the article I inadvertently touch the links which immediately take me to another related story. Very annoying and not a problem with other app news feeds such as AP, NPR and Reuters. I would suggest fewer links in the stories and instead place them at the end of the article if the reader wants to delve further into background. Otherwise, keep up the good work AZCentral and let’s support local journalism.

Az Central. Love the paper but enjoy letters to the editor the most. But you seem to have cut back on those. Why? Also, please support Coyotes attempt to build entertainment center in Tempe. How can it hurt? Anything new and exciting as this project can only boost a metropolitan area’s growth

I like their news coverage but . . .. . . . Navigation is awful. And all of a sudden couldn’t locate comics starting about 3 months ago(??). I even deleted and reinstalled the AZ Central app today, now even harder to navigate. Used to be able to go to “Sections” then find sports, local news, opinion, comics. Now that isn’t an option. I have a digital subscription, logged in, no comics or sections. What gives, Republic?

Old app worked better. We tried to print puzzles and instructions say to press print icon. Unfortunately, no print icon. Instructions say to print using share and cut. We have some success but only prints one puzzle. Old app printed multiple copies of all puzzles Page change icons on each page, never go away. They are annoying Ann partially cover text. When enlarging text, new app is very sensitive and it is difficult to enlarge or move text. When you change pages, new app goes to next page but page positioning could be anywhere. Old app changes page and goes to full page view. Fix is to use old app but every time I leave the page, I get a cover screen to download the new useless app

Really keeps me informed. A lot of good reporting with excellent journalists. They really uncover important facts that would otherwise be hidden. This is an excellent example of what journalism should be. Very well done. I find more important information here than anywhere else even though I live in southeastern Arizona and it doesn’t cover the area I live.

Sandy Haddock. Why did the Republic quit allowing a select few of another city’s newspaper articles on the website? Plus, the website jumps from one page to something completely different if I mistakenly click on an ad (conveniently placed on the right side of the screen while I am scrolling on my iPad)? Also, the type size is different IN THE SAME ARTICLE! I WON’T EVEN GET STARTED ON THE OUTRAGEOUS PRICE FOR THE DAILY DELIVERY OF THE REPUBLIC!!! THE PAPER IS A MESS! SECTIONS ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE WITH ONE ARTICLE “CONTINUED” ON A PAGE HARD TO FIND WITH THE SECTIONS ALL MESSED UP. SINCE USA TODAY TOOK OVER THE PRICE HAS ESCALATED AND I DON’T NEED HALF OF THE “SPECIAL” CRAP THAT IS INCLUDED AND ADDS TO THE PRICE OF THE PAPER. This is coming from a subscriber since the 1970’s! Please get your costs and declining publications under control or this subscriber will be a “former subscriber”.

Printing puzzles stinks. Printing a crossword results in a fuzzy, partially faded mess. No matter what settings I use on my laser printer, the results are terrible. The old version was better, but if I try to print using it, the drop-down screen hides the settings screen, which vanishes if I try to use it. UPDATE: The newest version of the AZ Central app drives me mad with greyed out pages of ads! I’m paying already! I don’t need more ads! Printing requires you to touch the desired item, then choose PDF, which opens another page, then select the share icon, which opens a drop down menu. You then select PRINT to finally achieve your goal. Yay! *sarcasm* Also, since Robert Robb left, your Leftist editorial board has ruined what was once a balanced opinion page.

Tired of the one sided reporting. I just canceled my subscription. I subscribed so I could see some of the articles that are for subscribers only. Unfortunately, the slant of the reporting, as well as the opinions, are becoming more one sided, grappling with being factual, and in some cases, down right hostile. Where I used to read at least 75% of the online articles a day, now it’s closer to 10%. I’d like some actual news with my news....and these people aren’t it anymore.

Horrible App. This is a horrible app that even though I subscribe constantly remind me to subscribe has pop ups has ads, everything subscribing seems to do literally nothing to stop it. There is no customer support whatsoever. Non-existent. Everything about this app is as bad as it can possibly be. Do not use this if you have a choice. 100% do not subscribe because it’s just a rip off as it still constantly bombard you to subscribe.

Love AZCentral, Hate the App. This is one of the worst news apps I have ever used. The flooding and refresh of ads makes scrolling through articles on the front page virtually impossible, such that you can only scroll down through five or six articles before being redirected back to the top. Makes me want to pull my hair out and just go back to the printed version of the Arizona Republic. Please, please fix this app.

Customer Service; lack of, non-existent. Do not get trapped in the “30 day free trial.” I have tried to look on the website to cancel, and there is no way to do it. When you call, there is no prompt for the digital side, and you get the home delivery side, and their systems don’t sync together. I was on hold for 10-23 minutes, 5 times. I emailed their customer service contact with all the above information, and get basically a form letter saying I can’t cancel by email, and to call customer service. UNBELIEVABLE!!

Contains a Useless Limit on How Many Articles you can View. I really was a fan of this app and was planning on giving it 5 stars until I got told I’m out of articles to view for a month unless I pay to be a subscriber which made me lose respect for this app. If the limit or the subscriber articles were very very juicy and exclusive, that would be worth paying for, but the articles are things I can look up on 4 other local apps for free. Why pay for something I can get on 4 other apps for free? If you want local arizona news, I recommend AZFamily or one of the local Fox/ABC/etc local apps. They’re much more worth it imo.

Good news, tricky subscription. I love this app. Linking my subscription to the app was cumbersome. I thought it was because I subscribed through Apple, but had the same difficulties when I subscribed through AZ Republic directly. That being said, if you want great local news, it’s worth the hassle.

Unable to Create an Account. I was a digital subscriber, but my subscription expired. The website was useless and wouldn’t let me update my payment information. I called customer support and they were equally useless. I decided to switch to an in-app subscription. That works, but the app won’t let me create an account. I tried creating a direct account and doing it through Facebook, but I am stuck on an endless loop where it keeps asking me for my name. Seriously AZCentral: fix this! The customer experience is one of the worst that I have ever experienced. I just want to give you my money to read the news. Why won’t you let me give it to you?

Very good spot. Easy to go through very clean and easy

Terrific. I am a Snowbird and use the app every day back home in Canada. It keeps me up to date with the valley news and I wouldn't want to be without it.

A surprisingly objective paper for such a deep red state.. They present syndicated material from both spectrums. And the paper appears to be more objective than i had anticipated. Well done.

Yuch!. Previous app was a better layout and more local news. If I want to read USA Today (News Light), I'd download the app.

AZ News. Being a winter snowbird to the Phoenix area, AZ Bews gives me all the information I need on a daily basis. Excellent source for me.

Great News App. This is one of the best news apps.

Like this version.. Should be more Arizona news.

Best news app I've used. Best news app I've used

👉 Are you looking for an Adsense alternative advertising platform?

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

Difficult to use. Because I cannot find a “fit-to-page” button and I cannot find a link to contact anyone about this, I am forced to scroll up and down on each page to read the print edition. Not convenient at all. Dump this software and get a user-friendly version please.

Push ads. I downloaded the new app 3 days ago. So far I am unimpressed and as a subscriber I am dissapointed by the push ads that interupt my reading and force a pause until it goes away. When i read a free website I tolerate push ads, but when I pay to subscribe push ads should not appear. I am re-evaluating if I want to continue my subscription.

Issues continue. The recent update seemed to fix issues with articles not loading for people with subscriptions. But I still get pop ups to subscribe. I also have to “choose publications” from the For You section every day or two. It’s a neat feature but not worth the hassle.

Pay for access but still have full page ads that I can’t close for 10 seconds. I don’t mind paying for access but full page ads that cover the page for like 10 seconds until I can find an “X” to close the ad and read the article means I will find my news elsewhere. What the heck am I paying for?

Great app.. I have subscribe to the paper for years but lately I have found it hard to make time to read it. The app allows me to do that very conveniently on my phone. I love it.

Annoying bugs persist. Why do I have to sign in to the app that I’m already signed into to read stories? I also get ads for subscribing when I am a monthly subscriber. Why? Please use the New York Times as a reference on how a newspaper mobile app should work. Thanks.

Huge step backwards. I was forced to “upgrade” to this version from the one I used for years and that worked just fine. Between obnoxious pop up ads, slow response, and extremely buggy behavior trying to make articles big enough to read, this version is nearly unusable.

Hate the ads!!!. I’ve used the old e-newspaper app for a long time. Now they want me to switch to this new one… why? Because they’ve put digital ads in it… in a newspaper that ALREADY has ads in it. So, in the new app, every now and then the screen goes dark and FORCES me to view an ad and tap the ‘X’ to close the window just so I can go back to the ad I was already viewing in the paper. What’s the point of a subscription to the newspaper? There’s already more ads than stories. Luckily the old app still works. But if they force me to switch I’ll cancel my subscription and be done with them forever.

Glad I finally buy a subscription. I read it way more than I though I would!

Disappointed. Recently subscribed in hopes to be a bit more engaged with our local news in Arizona. Unfortunately they don’t appear to be a balanced news organization and the bias is really hard to overlook. Just don’t understand why we can’t have more balanced journalism at the local level. I get it from a national scene with CNN/FOX but this outlet seems to be just as slanted. Will be canceling my subscription.

Too far left. The Arizona Republic used to be a good paper. But they are like most others now which is way too far left. And their movie credit Goodykoontz is the worst. The app gives you limited number of articles and then it shuts you down unless you pay. There are many other local news apps for free that offer better articles. Channel 10 and 15 are both better.

Fire your iOS developer. If there’s a graph in the article that extends beyond the frame, you can’t view it. Turning you phone to landscape view doesn’t do it either. While reading article and scrolling down, if you leave the app to check something else, and then go back into the app...it automatically scrolls to the top, losing your place in the article.

Total failure. The separate eNewspaper or “print only” App worked great, forcing this change just to get pop up ads will just cause us paying subscribers to cancel. It doesn’t even download crystal clear text nor allow a full page view on iPad. Download the full PDF doesn’t work either! If not resolved by January this 35 year subscriber will be no more!!

Great local news source!. This app does a pretty good job of reporting local news, in and around the state. It’s a great way to keep up, when traveling.

Login Issues. NEVER had problems with AZCentral before USAToday bought them. Nothing but login issues since then. They have no problem charging my CC for a subscription but I literally cannot read anything that requires a subscription and I cannot either login or stay logged in. So sick of this endless login mess. Wish I could rate them a zero.

Malfunctioning. App constantly throws up splash screens in front of the content I am trying to read asking me to subscribe despite the fact I'm already subscribed. So I press the X to dismiss the brainless message and continue reading, all the while wondering in the back of my head what kind of corporate culture tolerates such poor quality and inattention to detail, especially as it's been a known bug for almost a year now.

Poor App & poor customer service. The app keeps crashing, I cannot log into my account. The links are saying either bad gateway or just loop back to where I must log in multiple times but cannot get into my account. I called but there are no people in customer service. I appealed to Gannett & Co tonight & am waiting to hear. It’s more expensive with this than a digital subscription to the NYT.

In-depth coverage. Love print issues and all of the in-depth coverage of important issues in our State and Country. Also convenient online access

An annoying update. Why did the Republic take a good e paper and make it annoying with ads and toolbars that won’t go away? Money, of course, but had they asked for my feedback I would have told them I was happy with the full screen version vs this one where toolbars take up too much screen space.

Cannot read any articles without being a subscriber. Look, I get it. You need to make money somehow. But not being able to read a single article without being a subscriber is incredibly annoying. Even Apple News doesn’t do that. Also, I did try to subscribe when they had a deal for one month for 0.99 but I was charged 9.99 instead. Very frustrating.

A democracy only works if its citizens are informed. With life being so busy, this allows me to stay informed while I wait to pick up kids, in the check out line, etc

Love Keeping up with Arizona Happenings. I set up notifications on my phone for AZ Central to keep informed. Even if you are a local news watcher, AZ Central offers stories you won’t hear anywhere else.

Can’t read articles. It won’t let me read articles as it’s says I need to subscribe ! I have subscribed for the past 20+ years! Please FIX it.

Slow...too much info downloaded. Since the last update it takes forever to load or refresh. I don’t need every available story in every section loaded, just the top stories as before. Please change this or make settings available to choose what sections/stories are downloaded.

Print too small. Print on iPhone too small and can’t be enlarged. Makes stories hard to read. Doesn’t have option to turn phone sideways Also I’m a subscriber and when a story comes up, it has a subscribe option but no log in option. This needs to be fixed.

Soo slow.. I don’t know if it’s the app or the AZ Central computer but it just so slow to load the news. Something needs to be done to their system. It’s very hard to use!

Software. I was using an iPad Pro 11 and digital subscription, but ever since you updated the app nothing works, can’t print puzzles, no way to fit the page views with one touch button in the previous versions. Good thing I have an older iPad Pro that I didn’t upgrade to Apples iOS 17 version. Your updates are a total disaster compared to the previous original version. Totally disappointing.

Comics cannot be accessed with paid subscription. As of September 12, 2021, Comics under Sections leads to a help page instead of the Comics. Signing out and back in doesn't fix the problems. Deleting AzCentral cache doesnot fix the problem. Powering off/on the iPhone 11 pro running iOS 14.7.1 does not fix the problem. Deleting and reinstalling the app does not fix the problem.

A Little balance. .....would be nice. The Az Republic is a joke since being taken over by USA Today. Constant Anti-Trump,Anti-GOP,Anti-Conservative. Montini,Goody-pants and Linda (La Raza) Valdez are radical Conservative haters and should be avoided by anyone seeking commentary not tinged by hate for anyone who doesn’t subscribe to there radical worldview. Such sad people. Why do I subscribe? To follow my sports teams.( Although Greg Moore wallows in the same swamp as those mentioned above). And if you ignore their subscription pleas long enough they’ll pretty much offer it to you free. So desperate! Ha,ha! MAGA!

Duplicate Stories. One has to wonder who edits this. Why are there duplicate and triplicate of the same article. Sometimes the articles are next to each other. If newspapers were published in this manner they would be at least twice as thick. They need to find someone who can set the page in a cleaner view. Maybe they think that having so much duplicate info makes the reader feel they are getting their money’s worth

wonderful. I find that Azcentral gives me the best up to date news. they also make it easy to find breaking news. Keep up the good work

Buggy. Trying to access anything in Acct services is buggy- it simply asks you to sign in over and over. Privacy shows that everything is ‘on’ but doesn’t allow you to turn it off. You have to log in on a computer not an iPad to manage your account which is stupid

Great news source for AZ and beyond.. Excellent source of news for Arizona. I purchased a new home in AZ which will be finished in 2023. AZ Central is a great way to learn about the area from top to bottom.

Excellent reporting and writing!. We receive the print version of AZ Republic which I enjoy and it is a Pulitzer Prize winning newspaper! Naturally, I want to read it when I travel. The e-version fits the bill!

Annoying logouts. I keep getting logged out and have to pick bicycles, buses, fire hydrants, etc. pictures. it’s very annoying for something I pay for. Also please stop popping up the ads for subscription deals, I already paid it’s annoying to get a pop up for a better rate! If this keeps up I’ll unsubscribe and get the better rate

Can not download articles or columns. Can not download anything. I am paid up and all other apps work !

Enewspaper not good. I have been trying to navigate the enewspaper option and it gives me so many issues from freezing to sending me back to the beginning of the news. I have switched to the other option of reading the paper.

Balanced. Although I read the paper to keep up locally with what's happening, the paper has become biased. Instead of just reporting the news, it tends to lean toward a more liberal socialist view. I love Phoenix, I love to keep up with what's going on, but I just want straight news and to decide for myself the political outcome thoughts.

Very one sided views. The political bias of this organization is disgusting. What a rag. The same left leaning insight on every story gets old real fast. Even my liberal out of state friends can only say “Wow” and shake their heads when reading the Az Republic while visiting. It’s a shame the metro area of Phoenix does not have a print media that just reports the unbiased facts and lets the consumer decide. The Arizona Republic is a perfect example of why the media in this country is not taken seriously.

Concise, local coverage. Love this app to get a quick roundup of what’s happening around the Valley on those days when I don’t have time to watch the news

User-friendly!. This app offers such an easy-to-use experience. It's the first news app I open each day to stay informed.

Need the local news and this takes me where I need to look!. Can't stop reading.

Relevant local news and easy to use. As someone who hasn’t stayed up to date on news, the app has helped me stay informed on local news with relevant alerts. Easy to use, and I like the ability to customize topics to interests.

Hate the ad content placement and labels.. Evidently click bait is now presented as legitimate news and woven throughout. Knock it off. Also, when I am scrolling down to read different articles the app continuously jumps back bc it lags trying to get the ad content on my screen. If your adds interfere with the actual reading of the news—why should I subscribe? If I could give negative stars I would.

AZ Central. Although I read the paper version of the AZ Republic each morning, i like getting the news in a nutshell on my iPad each morning.

Newspaper section is no replacement for the dedicated app. Good idea to combine web site and paper, but the paper part is awkward, full of commercials, and much less user friendly than the former dedicated paper app. No way will I switch as the paper app tells me every time I open it. Make it similar and I will …

Suddenly much worse. App was never great but now it is a waste of time. Between the repeating Salvation Army ad, the popups asking me to subscribe when I already do, to it jumping back when you try to scroll. After all this time you would think they could make a decent app.

Worst app I’ve ever seen. Since you changed to this new way to read the e-newspaper I’ve had nothing but problems. From day one it’s locked up and would freeze regardless of the browser I used. Today I can’t even read the funnies as it constantly restarts before I can even read 1 article. You need to fix this

Decent content. Bad app/website. Content such as news/sports stories are good. Impossible to access/change account information on app or website. Frequently shuts down. Website is horrible, takes forever to load. Halfpage ads that pop up randomly and cause you to click the wrong link.

Keeping Up. Azcentral allows me to keep up with the news. I live out in the country and don't get a newspaper like I used to. With this app I can keep up with news in my state and beyond.
