Save the politics. It seems that the Enquirer utilizes old hat right wing politics to further core readership and its personal agenda. Constant reprisal of "Streetcar" articles with right views tossed in, to the current landscape concerning the local soccer club. The PX articles are so over the top one sided that it damages relations with readers. Isn't that what you need in this era? Just a thought.

Biased News. I’m not a political person, however it is very obvious what side of the fence the Cincinnati Enquirer sits on. I no longer live in The Cincinnati area and like to use the app to keep updated on my Cincinnati sports teams, but it is very disappointing to see a trusted news source so biased and not just reporting the news. Tell both sides of the stories to become a truly trustworthy source.

Paying for news. I came to rely on this news source app, and I absolutely will not pay a subscription. There are plenty of other news apps that are free, and I will use those instead. You’re losing readership over this business decision, and if you don’t change it back soon we’ll all have moved on and you won’t get us back at any point in the future. Bad choice.

Accused podcast springboard. I am an Ex Cincinnatian and use the Enquirer to remind me why I left there or sometimes make me miss being there. It’s a great source of news and please check out the Accused podcast which is a first class piece of journalism.

Good way to stay connected. I’ve enjoyed using this as a way to stay connected and up to date on all things going on in my home town. There is a lot of focus on covid right now, which I like staying informed about but I want to have a more broad scope. Hoping it’ll start to expand focus soon.

Well designed local news app!. The app is user friendly, easy to navigate, stable, and the ‘top stories’ are generally well selected. Definitely good for subscribers.

I’ve been a fan of paper for decades. I’m a 1973 graduate of the University of Cincinnati and I’ve been reading the paper ever since. I left Cincinnati right after graduating but I didn’t leave the newspaper behind. Let’s just say I’m a fan!

Can’t cancel online. The app says you can go to settings to cancel, but I can’t see how. When I try to manage iTunes subscription, it gets stuck. Also. I didn’t subscribe through iTunes and I don’t know iTunes is managing the subscription

Comment section?. The "comment" section at the end of the articles is still missing in the mobile app. That is the place where you get a lot of the inside background that doesn't make it past the editor. And there is no search feature.

Great options, some don’t work. I love being able to see the daily news and getting notifications for the the categories I am interested in, but I have also been inundated with sports notifications even though that category is turned off. Sorry, I just don’t care about the sports teams enough to want to hear every decision they make.

Great news site. I love it for the local happenings and news that are hard to find nowadays with everything geared towards national news. Highly recommended.

Sports are not Breaking News. The Enquirer’s incessant notifications of sports trivia as Breaking News has exponentially grown now that FC Cincinnati is in the mix, rendering the alerting useless. To the Enquirer: if you give me an option, as you have, to select Sports notifications and I chose not to then why do I get them anyway? Is this part of your on-going campaign to create an illusion that there is public demand for MLS? You are apparently willing to give up readership to prop up the latest boondoggle. Good luck with that. I’m turning off my last notification option and will delete the app next time around.

Notifications. There is an option to decide which notifications you can sign up for. However, if you sign up for any, you get all. Please fix this. I just want breaking news and that is the only option toggled, but I get notifications for EVERY news story. Otherwise, great app.

Great local news source. Use this app all the time to stay up to date on what’s going on in Cincinnati.

Great for those interested in local and national news. I’ve followed national and global news for years, but after using the app for only a week I realized how much local news I’ve been missing that has an impact on my community. The Cincinnati Enquirer provides a useful mix of local reporting and expertise with national headlines and insights.

Enquirer. Fantastic journalism and a great way to get the news! Not just hometown news, which is terrific, but restaurant reviews, local sports, and international events. The Enquirer has it all.

No longer “free”. WARNING: The new version of the app (5.11.0) added a lock feature that only allows you to read the first couple of sentences of a story. To unlock, you must subscribe to the service for $3.99/month to be able to read entire story. This app was great when you could read all the stories for free without having to subscribe to service. This app will be deleted from my device and I will get my Cincinnati news elsewhere.

App does not recognize subscription. I bought a digital subscription through their website and my receipt says I can use the app and have access, however the app never actually let me log into my account and kept trying to make me buy a second subscription charged to my iTunes account. None of the help and information pages on their website are working currently. Very disappointed, I bought a subscription to support local journalism and can’t access my full subscription. Updated because they will randomly charge your card and they will not refund you. Very sketchy business practices.

Almost Better Than Paper. As someone who grew up enjoying the daily paper I really like the Enquirer app. Getting news almost as fast as it is happening is amazing.

Fix the glitches!. The ap can be annoying but the latest is when trying to print the print page defaults to 5x7 glossy paper and cannot be changed. That means there is no way to print the crossword puzzle in letter size. This cannot be changed in the ap. I have deleted and reinstalled to no avail.

TERRIBLE!. Do not subscribe! You will be subscribed forever. They will not allow you to cancel subscription online OR by phone. When you call to cancel subscription, they hang up repeatedly. I’m going to have to cancel my credit card in order to stop a subscription I no longer want.

An Awesome Cincinnati News App. A great news app that gives you up-to-the-minute news updates of everything happening in and around The Queen City. If you live in the greater Cincinnati area and you want to stay informed about what’s going on locally, nationally, and around the world and you own an iPhone, then download this app. You’ll love it!

Baiting for subscriptions. Once upon a time (last month perhaps), you could read any or all of the content that you’d like on the site. Now, you can only read many of the articles if you subscribe. So I will now be deleting the app. I won’t be seeing any of the advertising and I can grab my content from Local 12 or the other local channels and online. The app may likely go the direction of the occasional 17 page newspaper.

Really like this application. Great way to stay up on all things Cincinnati. See story headlines on notifications and only pull up the ones I’m interested in.

Great Journalists. The Cincinnati Enquirer is blessed to have such outstanding and dedicated journalists when the industry is going through major transformative changes. Thank all of you for your high-quality work.

It's okay. Has some local stories that matter but overall it obviously leans to the left and provides a slanted point of view.

Login issues. Whenever i log into the app it does not hold the login and tells me i have to log in again and still does not work for my subscription. So cannot read the subscribers only stories online via the app. I have to go to the website and read them making the app useless 😡

I can’t unsubscribe in the app or in my browser. All I want to do is unsubscribe. I pay $10 a month for something I don’t use. I’ve tried to unsubscribe through the app and all it gives me is a never ending loop of logging into my account and without ever letting me do anything. Same thing in a browser on the computer. I’ve sent an email to the app developers with no response. Let me cancel my subscription and stop stealing my money each month for something I no longer want to subscribe to!!

Horrible Service. Can’t ever log in and never pay the bill

Locking up. This ap would be great if it wouldn’t constantly lock up. Have to completely close it out and start over again. After the third and forth times restarting I usually chose close it down. It’s a real shame.

The app itself is awful. If you’re in the middle of an article and go check the weather or answer your phone, or even just put your phone down long enough for it to sleep, the app closes completely and you have to reopen it, find the article you were reading, and then find your place in the article. Every. Single. Time. It’s super annoying and I don’t have ANY other apps that do that. It’s not like it would take new technology to fix that incredibly annoying “feature.” Even this very app didn’t start doing it until relatively recently. So they must have deliberately *chosen to make this happen. I’m seriously considering dropping my subscription until they fix it.

Too many pop up ads. I don’t usually do reviews I love reading the paper but now the pop up ads are a pain…. There shouldn’t be any since the paper has ads to begin with

Crappy app - vital content. I pay for the subscription to support local journalism but the is a terrible designed and poor performance news app. Truly pathetic. It takes forever to load stories (and sometimes crashes) the search doesn’t really work. If I didn’t desperately want local content I would cancel and delete

Way to many sports notifications!. The notification options allows me to turn of sports notifications which I have done. Yet 80% of the notifications I get from this app are about sports. It’s very annoying. Annoying enough that I’m deleting this app. There are better local news apps anyways (that don’t spam me with sports notifications).

Not Paying. I’m in agreement with a number of the reviews. While I want to stay on top of the news in Cincinnati, I would like to have some kind of filter for the notifications. Way too many notifications in a given day. The journalism is ok, too liberal slanted for my taste, but I’m able to sift through what I want to read. That said, and all of a sudden lately, they are now forcing me to a paid subscription for their news in the app. I’m not paying and have since deleted the app. I can find my local news without paying. Thanks, but no thanks.

No online Paper. We have a paid subscription and it’s Saturday. No hard copy paper on Saturdays. You tell us to read the online copy. Guess what, we are not able to sign it today. You did not inform us that your new policy is no service on Saturday. Greatly disappointed in your customer service.

The only place to find out what's up in Cincinnati. I find you get just the right out notifications, when you do they are the right ones.

Great journalism but the app itself needs some tweaks.. The reporting that the enquirer does is top notch. All you need to do is read their incredible piece 7 Days of Heroin and you’ll know the quality and dedication they’re capable of. I just have a minor criticism about the notification system for the app. I set up notifications so I can stay up to date on the news of my city, but I don’t care about certain topics. Namely sports. I just wish there was an option to opt out of getting notifications about specific topics. That way I wouldn’t have my phone buzzing at me to tell me about things I have absolutely no interest in.

Best All Around. I love this app because it has all of the local goings on, plus up to date National and World news.

Sick of SPORTS. I used to get notifications from you, but you ruined it. I could care less what Homer Bailey thinks about ANYTHING! I turned OFF my sports notifications, yet you continued to send me sports related everything. What would it be like if I turned ON sports notifications? Sports are not the focus of my life and have no meaning for me. I’m down to only getting notifications of weather, and breaking news. But, your app will be deleted from my phone if I get one more sports notification. This will become my crusade if pushed.

Up to date relevant information!. Very nice to have up to date information!

Jumble APP needs improvement. Jumble App doesn’t work well on iPad. Sometimes doesn’t respond to letter selection on words. Sometimes doesn’t display letters for solving or they are displayed behind the blanks and you can’t see them to select. So I then go to another online paper to print it. So frustrating. And I am working so I don’t have time to fool with this before bolting out the door in the morning. By the time I get home, I’m not in the mood. I use it to jump start my brain first thing.

Access and Sign On Issues. I have several e versions of newspapers and this is a horrible platform. I continue to have problems accessing articles and my own account. I’ve called customer service and I am concerned by the complete lack of concern around retaining readers. I’ve spoken with others who also continually have problems with log in, staying logged in, and being able to access content that we are paying for at the moment. I want to support local papers and journalists but it appears that these obstacles are or no concern.

Restore purchase doesn’t work. I’m a subscriber. I keep running into articles being blocked and the pop up says the an article is for subscribers. A choice in this dialogue box is to restore purchase. If you click on that button the app locks up and you have to close and restart.

Main page keeps having an error when trying to load. Asks if I want to try again. I am signed in properly. Problem has been fixed. I was contacted by a developer yesterday, but the problem was fixed prior to that. I have updated my rating.

Worst customer service worst customer experience. Every so often it just kicks me out no notice. The account history gives no account history. It is impossible for me to tell that I’ve ever even had an account. No notification nothing. When I asked him about it, I get an answer to a question I didn’t even ask and it goes around and around and around. Extremely frustrating.

Good but very political. I like the app and the new updates and keeps you up to date in the tri state area. However, they are very biased on their political views and constantly sending push notifications about their views on it which is very annoying. You have the app for a few days and you’ll know exactly which side of the aisle they’re on. Just report the news and enough of your political opinions.

News, Interrupted. This app could be great, but I wouldn’t know because it’s really hard to actually use it without first having a newsletter prompt pop-up that I have to decline. This is followed by an offer to subscribe for $.99 for 3 which would be a great offer, except that I AM ALREADY A SUBSCRIBER!!!!! In fact, this is DAY TWO of my one year subscription and the fact that I have to decline this offer is simply asinine. I’m only paying $1.06/month and I feel like I overpaid for this lousy experience. Once you get an actual news article, there is a steady stream of ads and surveys o the extent that there seems to be a 1:1 ratio of paragraph to ads/surveys. I would pay $4 or $5/month for a better experience, but I am seriously so disgusted I’m considering canceling my $1/month subscription. I can’t even believe it, but I simply can’t get to the news on this app without the deluge of interruptions. I have to wonder if anyone from Gannett has actually used this app and compared it to other news apps???

Subscription. I have a subscription to the enquirer but at times it does not let me read ‘for subscriber’ articles. I can’t ‘restore’ purchase for unknown reason…what is the problem?

Jim. Great for quick reference when out of town and in a hurry. I just wish obits for the day displayed a COMPLETE list for quick reference rather than having to scroll through detailed listings.

Hard to navigate. Trying to find a past issue is difficult. I also had to work very hard to find the page to update my expired credit card.

Cincinnati. Com. News arrives quickly and has value!

Enquirer App. I enjoy reading Local Local Sports as well as Community News & US Today columns

Full of junk ads even after subscribing. Expect to see junk ads posing as news stories even after subscribing. Tells you a lot about the integrity of the Enquirer. I do not recommend wasting your money.

Great app! Love the local Cincinnati news… its a refreshing break from the national news. Loving my subscription so far.

Love the app!. This app is great to stay up to date on news and local Cincinnati information

Great way to get local news. Great way to get local news

Pop-ups are crazy annoying!. Pay to subscribe, and ever time I open the app a pop-up asks me to subscribe. This isn’t even counting the other annoying pop-ups asking various other crap I don’t care about.

Helpful news. Enjoying pertinent local news especially

Easy to navigate. Solid user interface/ user experience

Great app!. Much better than reading from desktop

When will they learn?. Suddenly all of the articles are locked and after a paragraph or two it prompts you to subscribe to continue viewing. I put up with the ads so I don't have to pay. There are way too many outlets to justify paying for this.

We’re Lucky. Cincinnatians are lucky to have such a top notch newspaper and local journalism team. And their app is great, too. What more can you ask for?

Not getting it correctly. Can’t get into certain sections. Says I don’t have an account . All of a sudden delivery has been sporadic . This week I have gotten the paper once and NOW can’t even get to the page to reports a non delivery. On top of all this I get my autopay and it shies a .25 credit.

Overall good. Overall good but sometimes crashes repeatedly when opening the app on iPhone 11. Once it finally opens, it works well.

Log in. Have to log in like everyday? Is there a way to stay logged in, paid for the service to be more convenient and it doesn’t seem that way.

Sports in Cincinnati Enquirer. Love Jim Daughtery’s columns in sports. Wish our pro teams were better. Don’t like leftward drift of this once conservative paper!

Stuck behind a pay wall. Used to like this app but now everything is behind a paywall. Frankly it’s not worth the subscription to me, especially when they still have adds on the app. Will likely delete it soon if this doesn’t change.

Great App! I can't live without it!. Everything I need to know in one place

Inconsistent. Days like today, it won’t load. Also, too many of the same stories I read three days ago are still on the front page.

Selling subscription. You keep on trying to sell me when I am a subscriber. Very annoying.

Quit updating the headlines every time I switch to- or open the app!!. Many times I switch to different apps before I finish an article, yet this app always forces me to start from beginning. Stop it and please let me continue with where I was, I can do a refresh when I choose to.

Read it everyday!. Love the local reporting including sports.

Terrible. No stars. This app is very hard to navigate. There is no rhyme or reason for the order of stories or editorials. I have not been able to see “columns” on this app in weeks. Wish they gave you the ability to set what you are. Horrible app with a less than mediocre news outlet.

Constantly signed out; and today all photos are blank. Quality is too low. Poor customer experience.

Cincinnati Enquirer. Just getting used to the new format. I am beginning to like it. A much needed upgrade.

Sign in. Is there a way to stay signed in on the app? Every time I click on a notification the app forces me to sign in to view content.

Buggy, info out of date. Events section often has out of date info, and few entries for current/upcoming events. Links sometimes lead to pages that don’t load.

can’t read the paper. On my iPhone I would like to read the paper in what is close to its original form. That is impossible with this app. You have to go to a desktop to be able to get a facsimile of the newspaper. That should be changed.

So little news. When on recent weekend mornings 10 of the first dozen stories are sports or history, I see an inability to cover news and prioritize it.

Solid app. Intuitive and reliable.

App jumps when scrolling. When reading an article, scrolling, the article when unexpectedly jump further down the article.

Mrs. Rizzuto. Well it's the only paper I can get. I get the Sunday paper for coupons. If they could get my credit card right I would be very happy.

Great local paper & website. Support local news!

Bought subscription can’t access. I’ve had a subscription for many months but now it’s behaving as though I don’t. When I click the option to restore my subscription, it just spins & spins. I deleted app & re-installed, same thing. So I’m paying for an app I can’t use.

Enquirer. A good read if your look at the world as everything can be attributed to racism. They do a good job of peddling this and shaming whites. Looking for diversity this ain't the app for you.

Local news. Gear deal on digital copy. Can read from phone, tablet or pc. Saves the trees.

Excellent app. Helps me catch up with all the latest news on my own time.

Cincinnati Enquirer. I am a subscriber to this newspaper but the software fails to display anything on my iPhone screen. Our local paper is owned by USA TODAY which is a national company. I would think they could afford common text reading software for all their newspapers.

Great Way to Keep up to date. Like keeping up with Local and some National stories that are important. Easy to move about the Cincinnati site.

Great news publication. I look forward to reading the top stories everyday. I am a sports junkie, there are always great reports and articles to read.

Good app overall. Enjoy the local content and it is much better as a subscriber

Very unhappy. This new app is terrible- it constantly throws ads at us. We subscribe to read the newspaper and with this rendition we may cancel our subscription completely. This previous add was easy to read and use.

No problems. They provided frequent updates on the Harambe situation. 5/5

You have to subscribe to read. Most articles require a subscription to be able to read. The headline notification alerts sound great but can’t open without paying. I’ll stick to my free local news channel apps.

Review. I don’t like how you have to scroll to the top to see each page. Also the screen is very sensitive . Barely touch and it goes somewhere else.

Great news!. Up to date local and national news, good coverage of KY news.

Support local journalism!. Our country doesn’t function as a free society without good local journalists. Do your part as an American citizen and show your support!

New story indicator. The red circle with a number in it does not disappear after reading items. Also the number in the red circle is meaningless.

Newsprint edition?. How do I look at the paper as I pull it off the newsstand? Where can I immediately see the TV guide for all sports? The TV guide for all sports this coming weekend? This is not a review, just questions. Where do I leave questions?
